- winning with winans: my whole life got me to the point where I run this VET Center. But for me, I feel like my family has always been the military, Navy brat, the army. My whole life. after a twenty two year war, when everything finally ended, we could talk about how it ended and could it have been better. Nun I don't care. When it finally ended and everybody came back, whether you had one tour, no tour, multiple tours, whatever happened, people come back damaged. They have PTSD, they have injuries, they have mental stuff, they have a divorce, they have all these things that they have to recommend. Financial bills. They're not set for their next career. Like if you were a twin And your twin never went to the war and got his education, went to go work. And then you went and fought the war until you were 30. And now at 30, you're trying to keep up where your brother's 10 years ahead of you and all those kinds of things. For me, my own, my own therapy is paying back the guys that helped me by a guy walks in my office with high anxiety. How does this GI Bill work? I haven't been in school for 10 years. I suck at math. all those things are true. I show them the graduation board, I'll have you come see our office. We have five thousand guys on the wall by branch. And I say, look, you know, the guys on the wall, probably half of those guys are stupider than you. The only thing they did is they went to class every day. They were tenacious. When they were short in a certain subject, they worked harder in that subject. And you too can graduate and be successful in what you do.
