- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with on our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Almost Famous Podcast. There have been
- 0:10Speaker 2: a few things floating around the Taylor Frankie Paul ethoverse,
- 0:15Speaker 2: so we wanted to bring you the latest news right
- 0:18Speaker 2: here on the Almost Famous Podcast. If you're looking for
- 0:22Speaker 2: a whole list of headlines, you can go back and
- 0:25Speaker 2: listen to the Headlines episode of this week. If you
- 0:27Speaker 2: want Taylor Frankie Paul news, some of our assumptions, some
- 0:31Speaker 2: of the things we're hearing, some of the things we
- 0:32Speaker 2: think will happen, then stay tuned to this one right here.
- 0:36Speaker 2: We're going to start with this Heather Taylor Frankie Paul
- 0:40Speaker 2: protective order allows for twelve hours on Mother's.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Day, which was we just had as a visit with
- 0:49Speaker 3: her son. She gets twelve hours on Mother's Day.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Yeah. Now, obviously anybody who's been following these court hearings
- 0:57Speaker 4: that we've also been covering here on the podcast with
- 0:59Speaker 4: our eagal expert, was that Taylor had a custody, full
- 1:07Speaker 4: time custody of her youngest son ever removed from her
- 1:11Speaker 4: due to the protective order that was put in place.
- 1:14Speaker 5: And for like the last month.
- 1:17Speaker 4: She three four weeks she has had only up to
- 1:22Speaker 4: eight hours a week of supervised visitation with her son.
- 1:26Speaker 4: So her getting this note that she has allowed a
- 1:30Speaker 4: twelve hour session with her son on Mother's Day is
- 1:35Speaker 4: a definite move in what looks to be the right direction.
- 1:40Speaker 5: And more visitation.
- 1:42Speaker 4: We do know that in this last court hearing that
- 1:46Speaker 4: was two weeks ago now or a week and a
- 1:49Speaker 4: half ago, was that the judge would be giving another
- 1:53Speaker 4: update and recommendation when it came to visitation before their
- 1:59Speaker 4: next hearing, which is on June first. So it looks
- 2:02Speaker 4: like this might be a partial of what we're gonna
- 2:07Speaker 4: like come to see, which is her either getting more
- 2:10Speaker 4: visitation or at least her hours a week going up,
- 2:15Speaker 4: is what it seems like.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Am I confused or wrong when I said her hours
- 2:21Speaker 2: are already going up from eight to twelve? No, that's this,
- 2:25Speaker 2: this is what we're talking about right here.
- 2:26Speaker 5: It's now.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Oh I thought she just got twelve hours only on
- 2:30Speaker 2: Mother's Day.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Yeah, no, you're right.
- 2:32Speaker 4: As far as we know, it's only for this Mother's
- 2:35Speaker 4: Day that she was granted a few extra hours of
- 2:38Speaker 4: visitation monitored.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Of course, it's like a gift on Mother's Day.
- 2:42Speaker 5: That makes sense.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's also a positive move, you know forward.
- 2:47Speaker 2: It looks like, yeah, this wouldn't be happening if things
- 2:50Speaker 2: weren't going in the right direction. Exactly right, Taylor Frankie
- 2:55Speaker 2: Paul shares a very pointed Mother's Day post a legal
- 3:00Speaker 2: battles with X Dakota. That's the headline. I had a
- 3:04Speaker 2: lot of questions about this, Heather. You helped kind of
- 3:07Speaker 2: fill the gaps. It was very pointed.
- 3:10Speaker 3: It was very.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It very much felt like a caption to me that
- 3:17Speaker 2: would have been like a very direct text to somebody
- 3:20Speaker 2: you're very angry at.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Or even a compelling journal entry.
- 3:25Speaker 3: But it was. Yeah, it was pointed.
- 3:26Speaker 2: So Heather, who is allegedly speaking about and what does
- 3:32Speaker 2: it actually say?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so obviously it's a pretty lengthy post that she
- 3:37Speaker 4: put out there yesterday, but she is feeling quote, a
- 3:41Speaker 4: lack of empathy. And this is just over a week
- 3:46Speaker 4: now that since this last court hearing. She says, it's
- 3:49Speaker 4: Mother's Day, so I'll say whatever I want.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Sweet.
- 3:53Speaker 4: When you start like that, you know it's going to
- 3:56Speaker 4: go into something. And I think a lot of us
- 3:58Speaker 4: were thinking it's going to be a big post about
- 4:01Speaker 4: being a mom reflecting having three kids. No, uh, it
- 4:05Speaker 4: goes as if it's not already the worst time.
- 4:08Speaker 5: I still have.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Friends quotes kicking me while I'm already down and calling
- 4:14Speaker 4: it setting a boundary quote and then blaming me for
- 4:20Speaker 4: being upset and responding what a snake friend just did
- 4:25Speaker 4: to me in the public eye after everything she has witnessed.
- 4:28Speaker 4: The lack of empathy and silence was loud enough, she continued,
- 4:33Speaker 4: seemingly referring to secret lives of Mormon Wives cast member MICHAELA. Matthews,
- 4:39Speaker 4: who recently, if anybody's following, has moved her entire family
- 4:44Speaker 4: to Hawaii. She is going through still gigantic flare ups
- 4:50Speaker 4: with her skin, Like this woman is not I think
- 4:55Speaker 4: sitting around like just in Layman's terms, I don't think
- 5:01Speaker 4: that this woman is sitting around wondering what's going on
- 5:04Speaker 4: with Taylor. I really think that this woman is in
- 5:06Speaker 4: the process of like starting a new life because she's
- 5:11Speaker 4: literally uprooted her entire family from Utah and has moved
- 5:15Speaker 4: them to Hawaii. So it says, after leveling different allegations
- 5:22Speaker 4: and claims surrounding the drama regarding her relationship with Mikaela
- 5:26Speaker 4: and her family. Taylor circled back to her mother's day messaging,
- 5:30Speaker 4: sending well wishes to all the moms out there, and
- 5:33Speaker 4: she goes, of course I'm spiraling people calling me out,
- 5:37Speaker 4: yet I can't respond exactly what I will not be
- 5:41Speaker 4: tolerating ever. Again, she concluded, thank you God for the
- 5:45Speaker 4: people who sent me help through this with my enemies
- 5:50Speaker 4: so close.
- 5:51Speaker 5: And then in.
- 5:53Speaker 4: A story she was like teary eyed Taylor, and she wrote,
- 5:58Speaker 4: I will not be sitting down, staying silent, or logging off,
- 6:01Speaker 4: because that is what a lot of the comments were
- 6:03Speaker 4: telling her to do yesterday. She says, I did that
- 6:07Speaker 4: for years on this Trust me, I can take a beating,
- 6:10Speaker 4: whether it's physical, emotional, or public scrutiny. Anyone else want
- 6:14Speaker 4: to speak up, please do so. Whatever is happening between
- 6:21Speaker 4: her and Michayla, clearly she's expressing that she is not
- 6:24Speaker 4: feeling supported in the public eye by her. Her co star, Jesse,
- 6:30Speaker 4: was quick to get into the comments and tell her
- 6:32Speaker 4: how much she loves her. Jesse, You're maybe the biggest
- 6:36Speaker 4: flip flopper on planet Earth. You were literally in recordings
- 6:39Speaker 4: that were sent to her baby daddy that he like
- 6:43Speaker 4: sent to TMZ last week.
- 6:45Speaker 2: This is where everything gets confusing for me exactly. It
- 6:48Speaker 2: feels like everybody goes back and forth all the time.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So give me clarity. Did Mikayla has MICHAELA said something
- 6:55Speaker 2: publicly that led to this.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I believe Mikayla was not making public statements because she
- 7:04Speaker 4: was setting a boundary and not to get too much
- 7:07Speaker 4: into the weeds, but Mikayla is very vocal about being
- 7:12Speaker 4: a victim as a child of abuse sexual abuse, and she.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Has basically said that what's.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Going on with Taylor and her family has been a
- 7:28Speaker 4: triggering situation for her because of what she's opened up
- 7:32Speaker 4: about from her childhood. So Taylor even addresses that in
- 7:38Speaker 4: this post talking about how this person because she doesn't
- 7:42Speaker 4: say Mikayla's name outright, but she says that this person
- 7:47Speaker 4: has made a comment about her Taylor's experience being triggering
- 7:52Speaker 4: for this person's childhood experience.
- 7:55Speaker 5: So, again, not to get too much into it, but.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I think Taylor, if a lot of people are telling
- 8:06Speaker 4: you to get offline and to not be sharing certain things,
- 8:13Speaker 4: I don't think that the answer is, well, I'm gonna
- 8:16Speaker 4: keep doing this. And she very much said in some
- 8:20Speaker 4: of the comments I saw because May is Mental Health
- 8:23Speaker 4: Awareness Month. People were like, go focus on your mental
- 8:27Speaker 4: health because it's Mental Health Awareness month, and she was like, no,
- 8:30Speaker 4: I'm going to keep speaking because it's Mental Health Awareness Month.
- 8:34Speaker 5: It's just like.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Taylor's gonna do what Taylor wants to do. I think
- 8:39Speaker 4: we've all learned that in this process, especially those who
- 8:43Speaker 4: didn't know Taylor before all this went down. I just
- 8:47Speaker 4: personally think, and not that anybody's asking for my opinion,
- 8:51Speaker 4: but I just think it's time to put the phone
- 8:53Speaker 4: down because I don't think that every single thought or
- 8:58Speaker 4: feeling needs to be shared on the internet with strangers.
- 9:01Speaker 5: And my feeling about that is you're not putting it
- 9:06Speaker 5: out there for you.
- 9:08Speaker 4: When you write that kind of stuff on the Internet,
- 9:11Speaker 4: you're actually putting it out there so that you get
- 9:13Speaker 4: clicks and headlines, and as a public figure, like you're
- 9:18Speaker 4: actually not doing anything.
- 9:20Speaker 5: You're not repairing or showing.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Your followers or your fans how to deal with conflict.
- 9:27Speaker 4: You're actually doing this so that you get clicks and attention,
- 9:32Speaker 4: and that, to me, is not focusing on your mental
- 9:36Speaker 4: health or prioritizing your mental health. I think it's perpetuating
- 9:40Speaker 4: a cycle of when people hurt us and wrong us
- 9:46Speaker 4: to public shame and continue this vicious cycle. And I
- 9:52Speaker 4: think that she's been in this so long and been
- 9:56Speaker 4: in the eye of the storm for so long that
- 9:58Speaker 4: I don't even know if she realizes that that's what
- 10:00Speaker 4: she's doing when she continues to post cryptic things.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it feels good.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I mean, that's the reason people do it is because
- 10:08Speaker 2: it has that immediate rush of satisfaction where you're like,
- 10:11Speaker 2: this feels good, but is it actually helpful? Which has
- 10:15Speaker 2: kind of been what we've been talking about through this
- 10:17Speaker 2: whole experience is sometimes what feels good is actually not
- 10:22Speaker 2: the most helpful thing long term or for the healing
- 10:27Speaker 2: or for anybody to grow. It just feels good you.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Took the words out of my mouth. It's instant gratification.
- 10:33Speaker 4: It's getting kindness or what you hope to be kindness
- 10:37Speaker 4: or attention from strangers, because that's what your followers are.
- 10:41Speaker 4: They're strangers actually, So it's seeking validation and a quick
- 10:45Speaker 4: dopamine hit from people that you actually don't know if
- 10:50Speaker 4: Taylor is actually listening and wants just a tip of
- 10:53Speaker 4: something that I've done in the last year and a half,
- 10:57Speaker 4: start a notesapp and instead of sending text, write the date.
- 11:02Speaker 2: She has a note titled Ben and it just has
- 11:05Speaker 2: like a thousand Ever, I would never.
- 11:09Speaker 4: No, but I do have angry text messages written out
- 11:13Speaker 4: in the moment that I do want. Yeah, I literally
- 11:17Speaker 4: have a full app. And I would be very scared
- 11:19Speaker 4: if somebody found.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I was just gonna say, if that thing leaks, gonna
- 11:23Speaker 3: be awesome.
- 11:24Speaker 4: It actually would be a little mortifying. I think about
- 11:27Speaker 4: that if somebody ever like found my phone because I
- 11:30Speaker 4: lost it and they were like, maybe I could find
- 11:32Speaker 4: information on this person and they read that ongoing notes
- 11:35Speaker 4: app horrifying.
- 11:37Speaker 5: But Taylor, maybe you should try that.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Write the angry caption, write the angry text, and then
- 11:43Speaker 4: save it, don't send it, just and read it as
- 11:47Speaker 4: many times as you want, or don't read it ever.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Again.
- 11:50Speaker 4: The thing is is that I think she thinks that
- 11:54Speaker 4: she's doing something like again the public shaming, like it
- 11:58Speaker 4: has an impact or an effect. And I think what
- 12:02Speaker 4: we've learned from your group of friends and again I'll
- 12:05Speaker 4: put quotes around the word friends because you did is
- 12:08Speaker 4: that things change on a dime. So you're mad at
- 12:11Speaker 4: Mikaela today, but I'm going to bet in a couple
- 12:14Speaker 4: of weeks that we'll be seeing a different tune.
- 12:16Speaker 5: But that's just that's just my opinion.
- 12:19Speaker 3: We can only.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Hope Taylor final headline. And we're going to talk about
- 12:34Speaker 2: now kind of the ABC Summer, the ABC Summer slate,
- 12:38Speaker 2: This is always an interesting time of the year, kind
- 12:41Speaker 2: of get an idea of the strategy. For one, that
- 12:45Speaker 2: the network is trying to push forward, what the network
- 12:50Speaker 2: is excited about, what they feel confident in. As they
- 12:53Speaker 2: move into the summer, we can kind of see what
- 12:56Speaker 2: has been new and planned and creative behind the scenes.
- 12:59Speaker 2: So the summer slate announced, Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette season
- 13:02Speaker 2: is absent from it. There is rumors, Heather, that we've
- 13:05Speaker 2: talked about that it might be airing this summer, especially
- 13:10Speaker 2: with you know, kind of the process they're in when
- 13:12Speaker 2: it comes to the courts and everything that's happened. But
- 13:15Speaker 2: it's absent from the ABC Summer slate. So, Heather, what
- 13:22Speaker 2: does this mean. Does it mean that we think it's
- 13:25Speaker 2: gone gone now?
- 13:26Speaker 4: No, And to be fair, right this article and all
- 13:30Speaker 4: these articles are coming out about it being left off
- 13:33Speaker 4: the slate because last week Reality Steve went out and
- 13:36Speaker 4: was being very adamant that his insider knowledge was saying
- 13:39Speaker 4: that the show is airing this summer and that he
- 13:43Speaker 4: knows it's airing on ABC. So when this came out,
- 13:47Speaker 4: everybody was like, that's not on the schedule. That's not
- 13:49Speaker 4: on the schedule.
- 13:51Speaker 5: People.
- 13:51Speaker 4: The upfronts for ABC will be tomorrow Tuesday.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:55Speaker 4: In my opinion, this doesn't mean anything that it's not
- 13:59Speaker 4: on the schedule. We Rob Mills has left that door
- 14:02Speaker 4: open for a reason, and personally, I don't think we're
- 14:07Speaker 4: going to hear anything set in stone about Taylor until
- 14:12Speaker 4: Taylor gets some sort of custody granted back to her.
- 14:16Speaker 4: I don't think that you announce your show is coming
- 14:20Speaker 4: to the air when your lead has eight or twelve
- 14:24Speaker 4: hours of supervised visitation with their child court ordered. I
- 14:29Speaker 4: think that that's a bad look, and so I think
- 14:32Speaker 4: that they're waiting. If I'm an executive, I'm waiting until
- 14:38Speaker 4: my lead gets some sort of normal see back to
- 14:41Speaker 4: their schedule now normalcy meaning in this situation, she's got
- 14:45Speaker 4: an active protective order against her baby daddy for three
- 14:48Speaker 4: years and he's got one out against her, but at
- 14:51Speaker 4: least you know that they are in situations where they
- 14:55Speaker 4: are not going to see each other and make contact.
- 14:59Speaker 4: And then Okay, now she's got custody back. Okay, now
- 15:03Speaker 4: I'm feeling a little bit more secure in airing my
- 15:06Speaker 4: show about her finding love. This also is not Hulu's
- 15:14Speaker 4: announcement of their schedule. I think everybody needs to remember that.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Like as much as reality Steve says that he has
- 15:21Speaker 4: insider knowledge that it's going to air on ABC, I mean.
- 15:26Speaker 5: We'll see, we'll see.
- 15:28Speaker 4: But I also have a very strong feeling that the show,
- 15:32Speaker 4: depending on when it comes out, could be again, depending
- 15:37Speaker 4: on when it comes out, we're all speculating at this point.
- 15:40Speaker 4: I don't know anything. I would say it's going to
- 15:42Speaker 4: go on Hulu. I think that depending on when it
- 15:47Speaker 4: comes out, depending on what else is out at the
- 15:50Speaker 4: same time. Because let's not forget one of the biggest
- 15:53Speaker 4: dating shows in the world comes out this summer, and
- 15:56Speaker 4: that's Love Island, and it's on five days a week,
- 15:59Speaker 4: and that is a massive, massive show to compete with
- 16:04Speaker 4: in terms of an audience. So I think that there's
- 16:08Speaker 4: a lot more at play here than just what's on
- 16:10Speaker 4: ABC's schedule, But if you care Thursday, June twenty fifth,
- 16:15Speaker 4: Cmafest presented by so Far. July ninth, we're gonna see
- 16:20Speaker 4: celebrity family Feud and press your Luck. July thirteenth, Dancing
- 16:25Speaker 4: with the Stars the next pro that's the one that's
- 16:27Speaker 4: hosted by Robert Irwin, and then the twenty twenty six
- 16:32Speaker 4: sps are coming on July fifteenth and July twenty second.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
- 16:39Speaker 3: You know what's interesting?
- 16:40Speaker 2: I was just about to ask some sources that are
- 16:43Speaker 2: pretty close to the situation what's going on. Dance with
- 16:46Speaker 2: the Stars has done such a good job at kind
- 16:49Speaker 2: of reinventing themselves and coming back into popularity. Obviously, Joey
- 16:54Speaker 2: g one two years ago, and they really utilized him
- 17:00Speaker 2: over the last year, which I think is such a
- 17:01Speaker 2: good thing.
- 17:02Speaker 4: You know.
- 17:02Speaker 2: I do think that's one thing maybe ABC has has
- 17:06Speaker 2: learned about Dance with the Stars is when they come
- 17:08Speaker 2: off and they're popular and they win, like to keep
- 17:11Speaker 2: them in the in the forefront on the show for
- 17:14Speaker 2: as long as possible. However, and I I mean, obviously
- 17:19Speaker 2: I love Joey, We're good friends. Is Robert Irwin winning
- 17:23Speaker 2: the worst thing to happen to Joey when it comes
- 17:25Speaker 2: to his future with Dancing with the Stars, because now
- 17:27Speaker 2: he is everywhere and you don't hear Joey getting as
- 17:32Speaker 2: much of the like gig for a Dance with the Stars.
- 17:35Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, right, is Joey coming back for the
- 17:39Speaker 4: Dancing with the Stars podcast?
- 17:42Speaker 3: That's a good question, because he did a good job
- 17:43Speaker 3: with that.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Yeah, And I don't think that's been announced yet. Listen,
- 17:48Speaker 4: I think I think with Robert Irwin, it's how do
- 17:54Speaker 4: we utilize this winner again?
- 17:55Speaker 5: What if?
- 17:56Speaker 4: Okay, so let's say Joey is hosting the podcast again.
- 17:59Speaker 5: We love Robert Irwin so much? What do we do
- 18:02Speaker 5: with him?
- 18:03Speaker 4: Oh?
- 18:04Speaker 3: What's create a show?
- 18:06Speaker 5: Oh and give it to him?
- 18:08Speaker 4: And if it's if it's me making the decision, it's
- 18:11Speaker 4: how do we get the audience to hang on and
- 18:13Speaker 4: love him and fall in love with him more while we,
- 18:17Speaker 4: you know, craft him as our next bachelor?
- 18:19Speaker 5: That is, ah, what I think is.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Happening here people, And and so yeah, that's that.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I am thrilled.
- 18:29Speaker 4: That Robert Irwin is getting another shot at being in
- 18:32Speaker 4: front of the camera because I think he is so
- 18:35Speaker 4: fun to watch and he brings so much energy.
- 18:39Speaker 5: He that guy is so smiley and so happy.
- 18:42Speaker 2: He grew up in a hosting household too, It's not
- 18:45Speaker 2: like he hasn't seen it his for a lot of
- 18:47Speaker 2: his life. His dad become not only just a a
- 18:52Speaker 2: person we love, but a good host of a show
- 18:55Speaker 2: doing crazy stuff.
- 18:57Speaker 3: So he has this skill set. It's it's more into him.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Exactly and his sister, Like they're just both so natural
- 19:04Speaker 4: on camera. So I think it'll be cute to see
- 19:08Speaker 4: what this show is all about. But I mean, you
- 19:12Speaker 4: know Ben probably way more than I do. But hosting
- 19:16Speaker 4: a season one show has got to be so nerve
- 19:20Speaker 4: racking because you are stepping into uncharted territory and you're
- 19:25Speaker 4: also setting the tone as a host, like he's gonna
- 19:30Speaker 4: be the one that's like kind of like leading and
- 19:33Speaker 4: showing what this you know, new TV show is all about.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I would say it's an easier gig than what Jesse
- 19:39Speaker 2: Palmer had to do.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Okay, that makes sense.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you're not stepping into shoes that have been filled
- 19:45Speaker 4: for almost twenty years.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Who hosts Who wants to be a Millionaire? Now?
- 19:49Speaker 5: I think it's still Kimmel?
- 19:51Speaker 3: Is it Kimmel? That makes sense. Yeah, ABC's got a
