- 0:04Announcer: A weekly broadcast with real people, sharing real struggles, and offering real hope.
- 0:10Announcer: Today's show will encourage, inspire, and empower you to face life's challenges with a bold confidence and renewed hope.
- 0:18Announcer: Now let's join our host, Ron Myers, the promoter.
- 0:22Brian Ducharm: Well, I am originally from Alabama.
- 0:25Brian Ducharm: Uh if you know where Waynesboro, Mississippi is, if you're coming from the coast, you cut straight across the state line there and you can go about 20 minutes and slam on brakes, and you're in downtown Silas, Alabama.
- 0:36Brian Ducharm: You might not know that's where you are, but that's where you are, and that's where I'm from.
- 0:40Brian Ducharm: Silas, Gilbertown, Choctaw County.
- 0:43Ron Meyers: And you were in the Air Force.
- 0:45Brian Ducharm: Joined the Air Force to see the world and got two hours from home.
- 0:48Brian Ducharm: Went from Silas and Gilbertown to uh Keesler Air Force Base here in Biloxi.
- 0:53Ron Meyers: So how did you get into cooking, whether it'd be beef jerky, seasoning?
- 0:57Ron Meyers: How did you get into that?
- 0:58Brian Ducharm: You know, I'm a bow hunter.
- 0:59Brian Ducharm: I love to hunt.
- 1:00Brian Ducharm: And my cousin by marriage would make jerky.
- 1:04Brian Ducharm: And he would dehydrate it on these little round dehydrators that you see at Walmart or whatever.
- 1:09Brian Ducharm: And so he introduced me to making jerky 10 or 12 years ago.
- 1:14Brian Ducharm: And so back then I had a company where we were had a medical oxygen company, and I would make jerky and give it to doctors and nurses and hospice administrators.
- 1:24Brian Ducharm: You know, it was kind of our little marketing thing, right?
- 1:26Brian Ducharm: And so, anyway, I sold that company and I bought myself a little smoker.
- 1:31Brian Ducharm: I told them, I'm gonna teach myself barbecue.
- 1:33Brian Ducharm: I always wanted to learn how to barbecue.
- 1:35Brian Ducharm: So I'm doing that, doing ribs, doing chicken wings, that kind of thing.
- 1:40Brian Ducharm: And I decided one day, instead of dehydrating jerky, I was gonna smoke some.
- 1:44Brian Ducharm: So I smoked some jerky, and to me it was 10 times better smoke than it was dehydrated.
- 1:49Brian Ducharm: And Ron, it became an obsession.
- 1:51Brian Ducharm: I smoked jerky around the clock for five months working on my marinades, you know, my seasonings and that kind of thing.
- 1:58Ron Meyers: And now this has turned into a business for you, right?
- 2:01Brian Ducharm: Yeah, we've shipped jerky to all 50 states, man.
- 2:03Brian Ducharm: We uh, you know, it started with a $169 Cajun injector smoker on our back porch, and now we're partners in a USDA facility in Pickyune, Mississippi.
- 2:14Brian Ducharm: So we've we've gone the whole gamut, you know.
- 2:17Ron Meyers: So that's one of your talents that uh God has given you.
- 2:20Ron Meyers: Do you give God the credit for all your knowledge of cooking?
- 2:25Brian Ducharm: Oh man, the Lord has put so many people in my path.
- 2:28Brian Ducharm: You know, we were talking earlier about Terry Welch.
- 2:31Brian Ducharm: He was a barbecue mentor to me.
- 2:33Brian Ducharm: He's probably if I had to think it up, but I think I'm probably friends with five world champions when it comes to barbecue, you know.
- 2:39Brian Ducharm: So yeah, God's definitely put a lot of people in my path that's helped me along the way.
- 2:45Ron Meyers: And that's a great thing to kind of segue into a conversation with someone.
- 2:49Ron Meyers: You're giving them jerky, and I would imagine, like me, a lot of times, God becomes part of the subject.
- 2:56Brian Ducharm: Yeah, as you're out and about, man.
- 2:57Brian Ducharm: And you know, especially if you develop a talent that people recognize, oftentimes, and I would tell anybody listening, that's your platform right there, man.
- 3:06Brian Ducharm: Isn't there a verse in the Bible that says something about a man who is really skilled will go before kings?
- 3:13Brian Ducharm: So, man, develop a skill skill.
- 3:16Brian Ducharm: The Lord will use that in your life.
- 3:18Brian Ducharm: It could be anything from beef jerky.
- 3:20Brian Ducharm: Like I did if you'd asked me when I graduated high school, uh, what are you gonna do when you grow up, it wouldn't have been owned a beef jerky company.
- 3:26Brian Ducharm: I can tell you that.
- 3:27Brian Ducharm: You know, Lord.
- 3:27Brian Ducharm: But the Lord gives you different talents.
- 3:29Brian Ducharm: I mean, you might be the elect best electrician around.
- 3:32Brian Ducharm: Yeah, I don't know, but God will open doors if you hone a skill, he will definitely use that.
- 3:38Ron Meyers: Well, absolutely.
- 3:39Ron Meyers: And now I want to talk a little bit about your social media platform.
- 3:43Ron Meyers: You have something very unique.
- 3:45Ron Meyers: You have something called Read the Bible with Pawpaw.
- 3:49Brian Ducharm: That's right.
- 3:50Ron Meyers: Uh, and it's on TikTok and YouTube.
- 3:52Ron Meyers: What is Read the Bible with Pawpaw?
- 3:55Brian Ducharm: Well, I tell you what, this started July 1st, 2024 on TikTok.
- 4:01Brian Ducharm: And I had come in, I have another channel on TikTok.
- 4:05Brian Ducharm: It's called Smokehouse by You.
- 4:07Brian Ducharm: And there's probably, you know, 500 videos on how to cook this, how to smoke that, that kind of thing.
- 4:13Brian Ducharm: Well, I'd walked into what we call headquarters on the 1st of July, 2024, and the Lord, I knew, man, Ron, it was like he told me in one second what he wanted me to do.
- 4:24Brian Ducharm: There was no question, right?
- 4:26Brian Ducharm: It was you're gonna start a channel called Read the Bible, Paw Paul.
- 4:30Brian Ducharm: I want you to read two or three minute segments of the Word.
- 4:35Brian Ducharm: I'll tell you what to do, right?
- 4:37Brian Ducharm: And so I started that day.
- 4:39Brian Ducharm: And I would do one, sometimes up to three videos a day.
- 4:44Brian Ducharm: If I missed a day, it was very rare.
- 4:47Brian Ducharm: It was mo mainly every day.
- 4:48Brian Ducharm: I put out videos for quite a while, and you know, the the growth of the channel went, I think over the next five to six months, it grew to maybe 1,200 followers, right?
- 4:59Brian Ducharm: Very niche kind of thing.
- 5:01Brian Ducharm: You know, you either want to hear the Bible or you don't, you know, that kind of thing.
- 5:05Brian Ducharm: And so anyway, after the first of the year, though, you know, they were going to shut TikTok down.
- 5:10Brian Ducharm: You remember if you remember that, you know, so they actually shut it down for maybe 12 hours or something like that.
- 5:16Brian Ducharm: Renee said to me when it came back up, Brian, TikTok's back up.
- 5:21Brian Ducharm: So I did a video, like I was probably one of the first people that put a video up on TikTok statistically, anyway.
- 5:28Brian Ducharm: I'm sure there was thousands that went up, but I got like 900 followers in a day.
- 5:33Brian Ducharm: Boom.
- 5:34Brian Ducharm: Just like that.
- 5:34Ron Meyers: Reading the Bible with pawpaw.
- 5:36Brian Ducharm: Reading the Bible with Pawpaw, right?
- 5:37Brian Ducharm: And so I was like, man, this is really cool.
- 5:39Brian Ducharm: And so, you know, that's that's always exciting.
- 5:43Brian Ducharm: Although I don't do this to gain followers, it's not that.
- 5:46Brian Ducharm: I I tell people I'm gonna do this whether there's just me and you in here, you know.
- 5:50Ron Meyers: You just want to share the word.
- 5:51Brian Ducharm: I just want to share the word, right?
- 5:53Brian Ducharm: And so after after that, it was like January 6th of last year, felt like the Lord told me, I want you to go live, read the Bible live.
- 6:05Brian Ducharm: And I'm like, okay.
- 6:07Brian Ducharm: It was very awkward, Ron, at first, you know, because I would read and then somebody would come in.
- 6:14Ron Meyers: Are you on film too?
- 6:15Ron Meyers: Are you seeing your face?
- 6:17Brian Ducharm: Yeah, yeah, they see your face, man.
- 6:19Brian Ducharm: You're interacting with people, you know.
- 6:21Ron Meyers: So you become a a celebrity on TikTok.
- 6:23Brian Ducharm: Well, you start reading like that very first time I was reading, and and you'll have trolls come in, if you will.
- 6:29Brian Ducharm: You know, they have a they call them trolls, people that are just they're just out to give you a hard time, so to speak, right?
- 6:36Brian Ducharm: And so, yeah, I had to had to get my feet wet and muddle through that and and but the the audience started growing because I decided I'm gonna lock down a time slot and be consistent.
- 6:49Brian Ducharm: So Monday through Friday, 6 30 central time, I would get on and read the Bible.
- 6:55Brian Ducharm: Well, it wasn't uncommon.
- 6:57Brian Ducharm: I'd start getting a hundred followers a day, you know?
- 7:00Brian Ducharm: And so we we did this for I've done this for almost exactly one year as a live.
- 7:08Brian Ducharm: Before it was doing videos, but now it's it's a live and on TikTok.
- 7:13Brian Ducharm: And anyway, we're very close to thirty thousand followers now, and it's not uncommon to do a live in the mornings and average, you know, six five to six hundred people that come in there and and do Bible with me, you know.
- 7:31Brian Ducharm: Let me just read them the word and share with them.
- 7:34Ron Meyers: Well, and part of the reason I do this show and interview people like you, my guest, is you're not a preacher, are you?
- 7:42Ron Meyers: You didn't go to seminary.
- 7:44Ron Meyers: And it's to let people know that when God puts something in our hearts to do part of our purpose that He will make sure everything falls into place.
- 7:57Ron Meyers: Was everything falling in place and now you've grown?
- 8:00Ron Meyers: Have you had feedback?
- 8:02Brian Ducharm: Well, let me share with you, let me step back just a minute because you're exactly right.
- 8:06Brian Ducharm: I don't I didn't go to seminary, I don't have a degree in ministry or anything like that, a background in ministry.
- 8:13Ron Meyers: You just have a love for the Lord.
- 8:15Brian Ducharm: Man, look, I I'll just I'll I'll tell you this.
- 8:18Brian Ducharm: I grew up and I had the ability to charm my way through life.
- 8:24Brian Ducharm: Deceiver, okay?
- 8:26Brian Ducharm: I'm a deceiver.
- 8:27Brian Ducharm: I was a deceiver, I should say.
- 8:28Brian Ducharm: I was somebody that, you know, looked good on the outside kind of thing.
- 8:33Brian Ducharm: And so about five years ago, I'm living for myself.
- 8:38Brian Ducharm: You know, if you knew me, you would say, Oh, that's a nice guy, right?
- 8:42Brian Ducharm: But I'm living for myself, and a friend of mine named Troy, we were talking about him earlier, invited me to a sunrise resurrection service at this golf course.
- 8:54Brian Ducharm: I love to play golf, you know.
- 8:56Brian Ducharm: And so I said, Okay, I'll go.
- 8:58Brian Ducharm: So there's six six o'clock in the morning.
- 9:01Brian Ducharm: I lean up against the back of the clubhouse, watching Guy German and his his family sing, and I lean up against the back of the clubhouse, and I'm about 49 at the time, 53 now.
- 9:18Brian Ducharm: The Lord spoke to me and he said, The last part you're about to be 50.
- 9:24Brian Ducharm: The last part of your life's not gonna be anything like the first part of your life.
- 9:28Brian Ducharm: You're an evangelist.
- 9:30Brian Ducharm: And I'm telling just like I heard it in my head, just like me and you were talking.
- 9:35Brian Ducharm: So I go home and I'm contemplating this because I'm not living for the Lord at this point.
- 9:41Brian Ducharm: I'm living for Brian, you know.
- 9:43Brian Ducharm: And I say something to my dad, who is one of the most spiritual men I know, and I said, Dad, I know what an evangelist is, but what do you think?
- 9:52Brian Ducharm: Am I gonna go into the I mean am I gonna go into the ministry?
- 9:55Brian Ducharm: Am I gonna be on the church staff?
- 9:57Brian Ducharm: What is he saying?
- 9:58Brian Ducharm: And uh my dad says, I tell you what he's saying, baby.
- 10:02Brian Ducharm: He's saying, take one day at a time.
- 10:03Brian Ducharm: That's what he's saying.
- 10:05Brian Ducharm: And so I did that, and I started slowly, it wasn't like a snap of the finger, and all of a sudden I'm completely serving the Lord, but the Lord started putting people in my life, and I gradually changed over time.
- 10:22Brian Ducharm: And then when I walked into work that day, and the Lord said, You got I've got an assignment for you.
- 10:28Brian Ducharm: It's called Read the Bible with Paw Paw, and he told me exactly what he wanted me to do all within a second, then my whole life changed.
- 10:36Brian Ducharm: And I became because it wasn't just Brian was reading the word for others, it changed me.
- 10:43Brian Ducharm: Those every day, getting in the word every single day.
- 10:46Brian Ducharm: That's what I would encourage anybody in here, whether you do a TikTok live or you share the you're in the ministry, whatever, if you're never in the ministry, read the word every day because God's word has power in it.
- 11:00Brian Ducharm: And I tell people on my live, I can get on here and read two verses and give you 40 minutes of my opinion.
- 11:07Brian Ducharm: Okay.
- 11:08Brian Ducharm: And it'll get you about that far down the road.
- 11:12Brian Ducharm: It'll inspire you.
- 11:13Brian Ducharm: But if I get on here and I share God's word and it penetrates your heart, it'll change your life.
- 11:19Brian Ducharm: God's word will change your life.
- 11:21Brian Ducharm: My opinion won't, it might change your mind for a minute, but God's word will change your life, you know?
- 11:27Ron Meyers: Amen.
- 11:28Ron Meyers: So um are you having fun?
- 11:31Brian Ducharm: Heck yeah.
- 11:31Ron Meyers: Heck yeah.
- 11:32Brian Ducharm: Ron, this thing has grown from now.
- 11:34Brian Ducharm: I know that there's people in other countries that have listened to read the Bible Paw Paw, because I get some of these stats, but mainly it's the United States, and but it is it's so fun sometimes because it's all interactive, right?
- 11:47Brian Ducharm: When I'm doing this, people are commenting and all type, you know, and it's grown to where I probably have about seven or eight moderators.
- 11:55Brian Ducharm: I have to.
- 11:55Brian Ducharm: It would be chaos if I didn't because so many things.
- 11:58Brian Ducharm: But we do two things in there.
- 12:00Brian Ducharm: Three things, three or four things happen, but we do two things.
- 12:04Brian Ducharm: We read the word.
- 12:05Brian Ducharm: And I tell people all the time, I'm reading the Bible.
- 12:09Brian Ducharm: I'm not trying to turn you into a Baptist, an Episcopalian, a Methodist, a Catholic.
- 12:13Brian Ducharm: No.
- 12:14Brian Ducharm: I'm just reading the word and let God's word speak for itself.
- 12:18Brian Ducharm: The Lord doesn't need this little old sawed-off country boy's commentary, right?
- 12:23Brian Ducharm: He just wants his word spoken.
- 12:25Brian Ducharm: And in Isaiah 55, it says his word will not return void.
- 12:29Brian Ducharm: It is powerful.
- 12:30Ron Meyers: And I've always subscribed to the belief with Jesus that if we turn it over to him and we're obedient to what he's called us to do and our purpose, we don't have to worry about the people that hear what we do because then it becomes his responsibility to do what he needs to do in their life.
- 12:50Brian Ducharm: That's right.
- 12:51Ron Meyers: But each of us, and there are listeners right now, Brian, that feel that they need to be doing something for God.
- 12:58Ron Meyers: They have a hunger for God.
- 12:59Ron Meyers: God has touched them, but they do not know where to begin.
- 13:03Ron Meyers: They don't have the maybe the courage or they don't know what to do.
- 13:07Brian Ducharm: What would you tell that person?
- 13:08Brian Ducharm: Well, I encourage people now in the platform that I'm on on TikTok, is I'll tell them, you don't have to be a Bible teacher, but can you read God's word?
- 13:20Brian Ducharm: Do you have a love for God's word?
- 13:21Brian Ducharm: And one of the things, Ron, that I'm so excited about is it started with me reading.
- 13:27Brian Ducharm: Now there's other people that do ministry on TikTok.
- 13:29Brian Ducharm: I'm not, you know, exclusive that, but it started, this whole community started with me reading the word.
- 13:35Brian Ducharm: And then after a while, I start encouraging people, can you read the word?
- 13:38Brian Ducharm: And it has grown to like 25 people now are on TikTok in our little TikTok community, if you will, that get on at different times of the day, different times of the week, and read the word.
- 13:52Brian Ducharm: We also have a program called Rooted, which is a discipleship that they there's like four guys, uh a gal and or excuse me, four people mixed that uh they do a discipleship every Saturday.
- 14:06Brian Ducharm: So they have a subject and people come in through like a 13-week program.
- 14:10Brian Ducharm: So it's just kind of grown beyond me, you know.
- 14:14Ron Meyers: And what I find so fascinating, Brian, hearing your story, I've always said, like I buy time on non-Christian radio that we've got to start, people've got to start thinking outside the box.
- 14:29Ron Meyers: We can do a church, we can talk about Jesus outside of a building.
- 14:36Ron Meyers: People ask me where my church is, and I said, Well, Walmart, Car Wars, the radio, the podcast.Anywhere I go, if I can breathe and brag on Jesus, that's really what this podcast is about.
- 14:49Ron Meyers: Bragging on Jesus.
- 14:51Ron Meyers: He wants each of us to walk in to our purpose and our destiny.
- 14:56Ron Meyers: Because I would ask you, Brian, if you did not become you and did not be obedient to do and read the Bible with Paw Paw, who would?
- 15:07Ron Meyers: No one.
- 15:09Ron Meyers: That void, you have something that no one else has.
- 15:12Ron Meyers: I'm doing something no one else is doing.
- 15:15Ron Meyers: Somebody listening has something the Lord wants to promote, wants to encourage and inspire them.
- 15:22Ron Meyers: Don't give up.
- 15:24Ron Meyers: Just because the world sometimes tells us no, Jesus' promises are yes and amen.
- 15:31Ron Meyers: That's right.
- 15:31Ron Meyers: So give a little pep talk to someone out there that's sitting on the fence.
- 15:35Brian Ducharm: Look, man, John 15, he says, I'm the vine, you're the branch, right?
- 15:40Brian Ducharm: All life, all uh adequacy, everything, sustenance, resource comes from him.
- 15:48Brian Ducharm: You know, we talk about this a lot.
- 15:50Brian Ducharm: You don't need a healing, you need the healer to show up, right?
- 15:53Brian Ducharm: You don't need a resource, you need the provider to show up.
- 15:57Brian Ducharm: When the provider shows up, everything is handled, right?
- 16:01Brian Ducharm: Well, if you're a Christian and you're out there and you want, man, look, the platforms that are available now to share the gospel, it's just amazing, right?
- 16:13Brian Ducharm: All this social media, and it's just a tool.
- 16:16Brian Ducharm: You can use it for good or bad, right?
- 16:18Brian Ducharm: You can use it for good or bad.
- 16:21Brian Ducharm: There's plenty of podcasts out there today that they're not honoring the Lord, but here comes Ron, he's got a podcast that's honoring the Lord, right?
- 16:29Brian Ducharm: It's just a tool.
- 16:30Ron Meyers: So Well, I I tell people this, Brian, that if you're restless out there, folks, and you have no understanding why you're restless, that might be the Holy Spirit nudging you into something that God wants you to do.
- 16:49Ron Meyers: People ask, Ron, how long are you going to do this podcast?
- 16:54Ron Meyers: Until I feel the Lord is telling me not to.
- 16:57Ron Meyers: But Brian, if I didn't have a way to release my faith, share stories with you and other guests, I'd be like that little tea kettle sitting on a back burner.
- 17:08Ron Meyers: I'd eventually just explode.
- 17:10Brian Ducharm: Right.
- 17:10Ron Meyers: I've got to get this out.
- 17:12Ron Meyers: And when we get Jesus in us, Jesus comes out in different ways and purposes and and things that each of us have.
- 17:20Ron Meyers: So right now, there's someone sitting, maybe they're driving, they're all alone, they're a little fearful about life, maybe they lost somebody, maybe they had a bad medical report.
- 17:31Ron Meyers: They're becoming a little kind of pessimistic about the future.
- 17:35Ron Meyers: You can encourage them.
- 17:37Ron Meyers: What would you tell that one person that's having a tough time right now in life?
- 17:43Brian Ducharm: Man, okay.
- 17:44Brian Ducharm: I I I really revert back to my opinion will get you this far down the road, but when the when the word gets in you, right?
- 17:54Brian Ducharm: And Psalm 91, I would encourage every person reading or listening, excuse me, to this podcast to read Psalm 91 every day.
- 18:05Brian Ducharm: Every single day.
- 18:06Brian Ducharm: He said, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
- 18:13Brian Ducharm: It starts talking about proximity.
- 18:15Brian Ducharm: You've got to be close to the Lord, right?
- 18:17Brian Ducharm: Well, how we were talking earlier, how much closer can he be when he lives inside of you?
- 18:21Brian Ducharm: Amen, brother.
- 18:22Brian Ducharm: Right?
- 18:23Brian Ducharm: But we we give our attentions to what we give our attentions to.
- 18:27Brian Ducharm: And you're either giving your attentions to the Lord or you're giving your attention to something else.
- 18:32Ron Meyers: You know, I often ask people if I'm speaking, I'll hold an apple up, and I said, now if I squeeze this apple, what will I get?
- 18:40Ron Meyers: And people say, Well, apple juice.
- 18:42Ron Meyers: Well, if I squeeze this orange, what will I get?
- 18:45Ron Meyers: Orange juice.
- 18:46Ron Meyers: Well, we as believers, when we get squeezed, what comes out?
- 18:50Ron Meyers: That's right.
- 18:51Ron Meyers: See, we want Jesus to come out because that will give us the peace that surpasses all understanding.
- 18:56Ron Meyers: We want some wisdom how to solve that problem in front of us.
- 19:00Ron Meyers: But a lot of times, if we're not grounded, like you said, in the word or the promises of Jesus, when we get squeezed, what comes out is, oh, maybe he's punishing me.
- 19:10Ron Meyers: Maybe he doesn't like me.
- 19:12Ron Meyers: Maybe he's grounded me for a month because I didn't do something.
- 19:17Ron Meyers: No, God wants you to get to know him more.
- 19:19Ron Meyers: It's a relationship, just like we have with our families, our wives, our business partner.
- 19:25Ron Meyers: Jesus is a relationship.
- 19:28Ron Meyers: The word helps grow that relationship because, like you said, the word is truth and it's powerful.
- 19:36Brian Ducharm: Powerful.
- 19:36Brian Ducharm: Wow.
- 19:36Brian Ducharm: If you're not getting the word in you, I mean, think about it this way Jesus is the word.
- 19:42Brian Ducharm: In the beginning was the word.
- 19:44Brian Ducharm: The word was with God, the word was God, and the word became flesh and dwelt among us.
- 19:49Brian Ducharm: Jesus is the word.
- 19:50Brian Ducharm: And in Psalm 91, it says, His truth is your shield and your buckler, right?
- 19:56Ron Meyers: Well, and the one thing with you as you see this.
- 19:59Ron Meyers: World on the news, or you hear about things, how are you gonna have hope for this world if we don't have Jesus in us?
- 20:08Ron Meyers: Because otherwise, I tell people you'll hide under your bed, you'll go home and sit in a recliner and just watch I Love Lucy shows the rest of your life because you're afraid to leave the house.
- 20:19Ron Meyers: But when you see the troubles out there and hope begins to bubble up in us, we know that we don't have all the answers, but God has a plan.
- 20:28Ron Meyers: God has a plan for the world, God has a plan for these politicians, and God has a plan for each of the people listening to this.
- 20:37Brian Ducharm: Well, if you look at the world, like you said, you look at the world today, you know, he says, His truth is your shield and your buckler.
- 20:44Brian Ducharm: And right after that, he says, You will not be afraid of the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day.
- 20:51Brian Ducharm: You won't be fearful of the pestilence that walks in darkness or the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
- 20:59Brian Ducharm: Then he says, a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it won't come near you.
- 21:05Brian Ducharm: See, that all comes from Jesus being your shield and your buckler.
- 21:09Brian Ducharm: You gotta be close to him.
- 21:11Brian Ducharm: You gotta walk in his word, and then all that'll change.
- 21:14Brian Ducharm: You know, the enemy wants to deceive you.
- 21:16Brian Ducharm: If he can't deceive you, he'll distract you.
- 21:18Brian Ducharm: If he can't distract you, he'll try to intimidate you, shame you, right?
- 21:23Brian Ducharm: You know, that's why the enemy is the accuser of the bread.
- 21:27Brian Ducharm: He's always coming to accuse.
- 21:29Brian Ducharm: And I believe this there's one reason.
- 21:31Brian Ducharm: He wants to keep your mouth shut.
- 21:33Brian Ducharm: Because our spiritual warfare is our words.
- 21:36Brian Ducharm: When we're declaring God's word, he's gone, man.
- 21:40Brian Ducharm: If you submit yourself to God, resist the devil, he's gonna flee.
- 21:45Ron Meyers: And I found out, and I wonder if you have, that the more I'm promoting and bragging about what Jesus wants to do, it's almost to me like the fountain of youth.
- 21:57Ron Meyers: I feel good, I look good.
- 21:59Ron Meyers: Yeah, I go out there, it's not me, but it's when you have that living word just manifesting in you and you're telling people about it.
- 22:08Ron Meyers: There's something about stress, it just melts off of you, and you are optimistic.
- 22:14Ron Meyers: You have hope, you have faith.
- 22:16Ron Meyers: You're ready to charge hell with a water pistol because you know that you can't do anything by yourself, but with God, it's amazing the things that we can do in life.
- 22:28Brian Ducharm: You know, what you just described is in Psalm 34.
- 22:31Brian Ducharm: So they looked to him and their faces were radiant, and there was no shame.
- 22:36Ron Meyers: Amen.
- 22:37Brian Ducharm: You know, they the Lord gets rid of shame.
- 22:39Brian Ducharm: He walks with you, man.
- 22:40Brian Ducharm: There is a few.
- 22:41Brian Ducharm: And if you're walking and you're got your eyes on him, I'm telling you, the world will see it.
- 22:47Brian Ducharm: They will.
- 22:48Brian Ducharm: Yep.
- 22:49Ron Meyers: Fix your eyes on Jesus, and the world is looking for something right now.
- 22:54Ron Meyers: They don't know what it is.
- 22:56Brian Ducharm: Yeah.
- 22:57Ron Meyers: But when they get around us, I tell people, we have this aroma, this aroma.
- 23:03Ron Meyers: Now, I'm not talking about body odor.
- 23:04Ron Meyers: I'm talking about the aroma of freedom, of life.
- 23:08Ron Meyers: And they'll ask me, I'm sure they do you, what do you do?
- 23:14Ron Meyers: How come you're always happy?
- 23:16Ron Meyers: How come you're glowing like that?
- 23:17Ron Meyers: What's going on?
- 23:18Ron Meyers: Well, I'm so glad you asked.
- 23:20Ron Meyers: Yeah.
- 23:20Ron Meyers: Let me tell you about myself.
- 23:21Brian Ducharm: What does it say too?
- 23:22Brian Ducharm: It says they boast in the Lord and the humble hear it and are glad.
- 23:27Brian Ducharm: You know?
- 23:28Brian Ducharm: And I've never run, I've never heard, I've never seen somebody boasting that wasn't running that mouth.
- 23:34Brian Ducharm: Yeah.
- 23:35Brian Ducharm: Right?
- 23:35Brian Ducharm: But they were running that mouth about the Lord.
- 23:37Brian Ducharm: Amen.
- 23:38Brian Ducharm: And it says the humble hear it and are glad.
- 23:40Brian Ducharm: I love that.
- 23:40Ron Meyers: That's why I call myself the promoter.
- 23:42Ron Meyers: People say I'm promoting Jesus.
- 23:45Ron Meyers: I'm promoting destiny and purpose.
- 23:48Ron Meyers: And that, yes, there is a better day tomorrow, and it's never too late for a new beginning.
- 23:55Ron Meyers: And I hope you've been encouraged by listening to Pawpaw.
- 23:58Ron Meyers: Reading the Bible with Pawpaw.
- 24:01Ron Meyers: Now, it's heard every day.
- 24:02Ron Meyers: How can people find you on TikTok and what time do you do it?
- 24:06Brian Ducharm: All right.

- 24:21Brian Ducharm: And I'm on YouTube as well, Ron.
- 24:23Brian Ducharm: I just want to say that.
- 24:24Brian Ducharm: I'm on YouTube.
- 24:25Ron Meyers: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 24:26Brian Ducharm: Yeah.
- 24:26Ron Meyers: Before we go, will you pray for my listeners, please?
- 24:30Brian Ducharm: Absolutely.
- 24:31Brian Ducharm: Lord, we just thank you for another day.
- 24:34Brian Ducharm: We thank you how good you are to us, Lord.
- 24:36Brian Ducharm: We we love you and we bless you today, Father.
- 24:40Brian Ducharm: And Father, I just ask that each person out there, Father, understands that you have an adventurous assignment for them, that you have a plan for their life, Lord God.
- 24:50Brian Ducharm: And that you said that God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.
- 24:59Brian Ducharm: So, Father, I'm asking that you would go and confirm your word in people's lives, Lord God, and give them a hunger for you so they can call out to the Lord, be saved today, but also just walk in their life with you, Father.
- 25:14Brian Ducharm: Bless their families.
- 25:15Brian Ducharm: I know there's people out here that need a healing touch, but Lord, you said in Psalm 103, you forgive our iniquities, you heal our diseases, and you deliver our life from destruction.
- 25:25Brian Ducharm: So I just declare that over every single person that's listening to this podcast in the name of Jesus by the blood of Jesus.
