- 0:09Speaker 1: Yes, it's time. Hell no Lo Lo Loelo. Welcome to
- 0:15Speaker 1: the Naughty but Night Show't your host, Rob Shooter. It's
- 0:18Speaker 1: Thursday morning. Normally, our dear friend Mark Lupo joins us
- 0:21Speaker 1: every Thursday. In fact, he very rarely misses a show.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Even when he's traveling home to see his family, he
- 0:28Speaker 1: takes his microphone. However, he's not with us today. Some Mark,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I know, I think you're going to LA. I think
- 0:33Speaker 1: he's on his way to LA right now. I think
- 0:36Speaker 1: he's on a flight. If Mark could figure out a
- 0:38Speaker 1: way to record the show on the plane, that trusts
- 0:41Speaker 1: me he would do so. And Mark, I want you
- 0:44Speaker 1: to know that we are grateful for that. Don't ever
- 0:47Speaker 1: think we take you for granted. We're going to miss
- 0:49Speaker 1: you today. But don't worry, Naughty's We've got a ton
- 0:51Speaker 1: of gossip to get to. What time is it? My friends?
- 0:55Speaker 1: It is tea time big story at the show. So
- 0:58Speaker 1: we love to know about what people earn. We might
- 1:02Speaker 1: not like talking about money, but be honest, we all
- 1:06Speaker 1: like to know. Well, Pete Davidson from Saturday Night Live
- 1:11Speaker 1: is now revealing what they all got paid. So comedian
- 1:16Speaker 1: Pete has dropped a bombshell about the salaries of Saturday
- 1:21Speaker 1: Night Live cast members, which has left fans stunned. Pete
- 1:27Speaker 1: revealed that the cast members each earn like three grand
- 1:32Speaker 1: an episode. So let me break this down for you.
- 1:36Speaker 1: With SNL season, it typically is eighteen to twenty two episodes,
- 1:41Speaker 1: so they don't do fifty two episodes. It's not on
- 1:44Speaker 1: all year, It's only on eighteen to twenty two weeks
- 1:48Speaker 1: a year. So this means cast members appearing in every
- 1:52Speaker 1: single episode earn between fifty four two what's the math here,
- 1:59Speaker 1: sixty six thousand a year, a figure that pales in
- 2:04Speaker 1: comparison to the show's glitzy reputation. Pete was asked what
- 2:10Speaker 1: was his first big splurge after he got paid, and
- 2:13Speaker 1: he said, I think I got dinner. Well, let's do
- 2:19Speaker 1: a big picture though here. So I hit the phones
- 2:21Speaker 1: and I asked my sources, is this right, and they said, yes,
- 2:24Speaker 1: it is. All My TV inside has said, there's a
- 2:26Speaker 1: myth on television that everybody on television earns hundreds and
- 2:31Speaker 1: thousands of dollars. We know from those Housewives that they exaggerate,
- 2:35Speaker 1: they never quite tell the truth. In the early days
- 2:38Speaker 1: of the Housewives, the Jills and the Bethanies were out
- 2:41Speaker 1: leaking that they got sixty seventy thousand dollars an episode.
- 2:46Speaker 1: These huge numbers just not true. It wasn't true at all.
- 2:49Speaker 1: In fact, I think the entire first season of the
- 2:53Speaker 1: Real Housewives of New York the cast made between seven
- 2:56Speaker 1: and eight thousand dollars for the entire season, not per episodes.
- 3:01Speaker 1: When I was on the VH one Morning Show hosting
- 3:04Speaker 1: the VH one Morning Show, I earned two thousand dollars
- 3:07Speaker 1: a week, so it's like five hundred dollars an episode.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Slightly less. Maybe I earned twenty five hundred weeks about
- 3:13Speaker 1: five hundred dollars an episode. And get this, I got
- 3:16Speaker 1: paid more than everybody else on the show, So the
- 3:18Speaker 1: other cast members were certainly getting less than five hundred
- 3:22Speaker 1: per episode. All these Bramo shows we hear all the time,
- 3:25Speaker 1: don't we, The Summer House and vander Pump Rules, these
- 3:28Speaker 1: reality shows that they earned millions of dollars. That's not
- 3:31Speaker 1: true either. I was friends with a manager of a
- 3:34Speaker 1: couple of those reality stars and they said, it's a
- 3:36Speaker 1: couple of grand per episode. So SNL cast members are
- 3:40Speaker 1: earning about the same as the real Housewives. But let
- 3:44Speaker 1: me help put this into a little bit of perspective here.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Source has told me that despite the very modest paychecks,
- 3:51Speaker 1: SNL serves as a launching pad for countless comedy icons,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and it's still still thought of as the premieer comedy
- 4:01Speaker 1: show on television. So if you're on SNL, the chances
- 4:04Speaker 1: of you going on to make movies, TV shows, sitcoms,
- 4:08Speaker 1: or paid advertisement deals, all that stuff really increases here.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So it's almost like an investment in yourself when you
- 4:14Speaker 1: audition for SNL. It's not for the money. Nobody gets
- 4:18Speaker 1: on SNL for the money, but they think of it
- 4:21Speaker 1: as a first time job. It's their starter job, and
- 4:24Speaker 1: then that launches them hopefully into massive creators. Kristen wig
- 4:28Speaker 1: Will Farrow, there's countless, countless numbers of people who have
- 4:32Speaker 1: been on that show who now make a fortune doing
- 4:35Speaker 1: movies and other stuff. So that's why the show doesn't
- 4:39Speaker 1: pay more, because they don't have to. Nobody who auditions
- 4:43Speaker 1: in the history of SNL has said, eh, I want
- 4:47Speaker 1: more money or I'm not taking the job. No, they
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't do that. Every person I'm told that has ever
- 4:52Speaker 1: ever got a job in SNL said thank you very much.
- 4:55Speaker 1: When do I start? And so if you don't have
- 4:58Speaker 1: to pay more, why would you pay it? Think about
- 5:00Speaker 1: your job. The boss isn't paying you more because they
- 5:03Speaker 1: want to. The boss is paying you more because they
- 5:05Speaker 1: have to. You will leave, they'll have to replace you
- 5:08Speaker 1: if they even can do that. And so with Zanel,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I know there are so many comedians, so many working
- 5:14Speaker 1: comedians who would do it for nothing. So we don't
- 5:17Speaker 1: want that to happen. But a bad three grand an
- 5:20Speaker 1: episode far less than I think we all thought, although
- 5:25Speaker 1: I think I knew this one. I remember when I
- 5:27Speaker 1: was working at Okay magazine as the executive editor, we
- 5:31Speaker 1: paid for baby pictures and wedding pictures and we never
- 5:34Speaker 1: paid as much money as what was reported in the press.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So I would say to the celebrities, we don't talk
- 5:39Speaker 1: about money as a magazine, as an outlet, We're not
- 5:42Speaker 1: going to talk about money. But if you want to
- 5:44Speaker 1: talk about it, it's up to you. And if you
- 5:46Speaker 1: don't tell the truth, if if you inflated a little bit,
- 5:48Speaker 1: I'm not going to cracch it. So I'm not talking
- 5:50Speaker 1: about this. But that gave the celebrities red light or
- 5:53Speaker 1: red light to say whatever they want, and they did.
- 5:55Speaker 1: It was always leads that we were paying millions of
- 5:57Speaker 1: dollars for a wedding or millions of dollars for first
- 6:02Speaker 1: baby pictures. Not true. It was far, far less. The
- 6:06Speaker 1: first time I realized this, it was one of my
- 6:08Speaker 1: first celebrity clients was Monica Lewinsky. Yes I swear now,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I wasn't her publicist. Her publicist May he rest in peace,
- 6:16Speaker 1: the legendary Howard Bragman. He worked in LA I worked
- 6:19Speaker 1: for his company. Monica was in New York. So Howard
- 6:21Speaker 1: asked me to take Monica to a couple of events,
- 6:24Speaker 1: to a couple of TV shows. We ended up becoming
- 6:26Speaker 1: a little friendly and getting dinner, and she just didn't
- 6:29Speaker 1: have the money of somebody who had her fame. For
- 6:32Speaker 1: a moment there, she was one of the most famous
- 6:34Speaker 1: person in the world, and she didn't have money for security,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and she didn't have money to live in a building
- 6:39Speaker 1: that you think people that famous would live in. And
- 6:42Speaker 1: so when you next hearing you will that celebrities are
- 6:46Speaker 1: making millions and millions and millions of dollars. Do the math.
- 6:50Speaker 1: It just doesn't add up. Now, are there some people
- 6:53Speaker 1: on TV making millions. Yes, I'm looking at you Hoder,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm looking at you Savanna Robin Roberts, the host Ellenor
- 6:59Speaker 1: and Million on her talk show. But most people on
- 7:02Speaker 1: TV are very middle class and would even argue working class.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And so once again, next time somebody pretends that they
- 7:11Speaker 1: earn all this money, think about it. Does it really
- 7:14Speaker 1: make sense? Which brings us to our whole question of
- 7:17Speaker 1: the day. Pete Davidson has revealed the shockingly low pay
- 7:22Speaker 1: that ES and L members get, like three grand an episode.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Our question is very simple, do they deserve more? Go
- 7:33Speaker 1: vote on a Twitter page adnrdyinize rob Our Facebook page
- 7:36Speaker 1: is Nordy Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow
- 7:39Speaker 1: to hear your results. Okay, moving along, One Direction has
- 7:43Speaker 1: reunited in their grief. Let me be clear here they
- 7:46Speaker 1: have not reunited as a band, but the tragic death
- 7:50Speaker 1: of Liam has really sparked an emotional reconnection amongst the guys.
- 7:57Speaker 1: The tragic, tragic loss of Liam, who passed a he
- 8:00Speaker 1: was just thirty one years old, has sent shock waves
- 8:03Speaker 1: through One Direction fandom and the boy band itself for
- 8:08Speaker 1: the first time in years. Former members Harry Zaye and
- 8:13Speaker 1: Lewis and niall have pledged to rekindle their friendship after
- 8:19Speaker 1: their friend's untimely death, and inside a revealed quote that
- 8:24Speaker 1: Liam's passing was a wake up call for them, adding
- 8:28Speaker 1: that while the group remained loosely in touch, and that's
- 8:32Speaker 1: been kind loosely in touch over the years, their bonds
- 8:36Speaker 1: and everything else really had faded. However, now, even though
- 8:42Speaker 1: they are still mourning, they are checking in on each
- 8:46Speaker 1: other and feel much closer. I'm told now there is
- 8:49Speaker 1: a group text that there was in the beginning and
- 8:52Speaker 1: then it stopped, and this awful event has brought them
- 8:56Speaker 1: all back together. We saw the band members at his
- 9:01Speaker 1: funeral in England last month. I was there at the time.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I was just in one village away. And this is
- 9:06Speaker 1: a poignant reunion, making the first time all five had
- 9:10Speaker 1: been together since Zane's departure in twenty fifteen, and then
- 9:16Speaker 1: obviously afterwards twenty sixteen the group went on indefinite hiatus.
- 9:21Speaker 1: They've not seen each other since really two and fifteen
- 9:26Speaker 1: all together. But this brought them all under the same roof,
- 9:29Speaker 1: giving them a real feeling of what they were missing
- 9:32Speaker 1: out on. They became superstars together. They became very, very rich, together.
- 9:36Speaker 1: They have experiences that nobody else, almost nobody else in
- 9:39Speaker 1: the world will ever ever have, and that connects you.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Have you had a friend, have, you had a group
- 9:45Speaker 1: that you were really close with, and then you sort
- 9:47Speaker 1: of drifted apart. You didn't fall out, but you drift apart,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and then a big awful, maybe happy event happened and
- 9:53Speaker 1: brought you back together and you realized what you were
- 9:56Speaker 1: missing out on. I've become very very close with my
- 10:00Speaker 1: with my sister Christine again. I grew up with Christine.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It was Christine and me every day for what fifteen sixteen, seventeen,
- 10:06Speaker 1: eighteen years until we went off to university. And then
- 10:09Speaker 1: as life progressed and she had her family and I
- 10:12Speaker 1: moved to America. We did never fall out, but our
- 10:14Speaker 1: lives went in separate, opposite directions, and we lost touch.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And recently, because of my mom and dad's health, they're
- 10:21Speaker 1: now in their late eighties, Christine and I have reconnected
- 10:24Speaker 1: and it's just lovely. I didn't realize how much I
- 10:27Speaker 1: missed her, and I think that's what's happening here with
- 10:29Speaker 1: one direction. Now you're going to hear rumors that the
- 10:32Speaker 1: band is getting back together, that they're going to go
- 10:34Speaker 1: on tour, that they're going to reunite. That's not true.
- 10:37Speaker 1: My sources tell me that is a long long way off.
- 10:39Speaker 1: At the moment, they're just texting, they're just connecting. There's
- 10:43Speaker 1: no no talking. It would be rude, it'd be crass
- 10:46Speaker 1: for them to be talking about making money going on
- 10:48Speaker 1: tour right now. So there's no talk about that. They've
- 10:51Speaker 1: all got individual careers to different degrees, Harry Styles obviously
- 10:56Speaker 1: being the biggest. They've all got commitments. I'm told Harry's
- 10:59Speaker 1: going to go on too extra as a solo artist.
- 11:01Speaker 1: He is not going on to her with the guys,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and so they have contracts, they have managers. Money's being
- 11:06Speaker 1: made here, and so for them all to get back
- 11:08Speaker 1: together it would take a lot. It would take a
- 11:11Speaker 1: lot of planning, a lot of discussions, a lot of negotiations.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Will Harry now earn more than the other guys? Will
- 11:17Speaker 1: they earn all earn the same amount? Like? It's difficult
- 11:21Speaker 1: and it gets really ugly, very very quickly. So maybe
- 11:24Speaker 1: one day that we will see them all together on
- 11:27Speaker 1: the stage again, that'd be great. Maybe some tribute to
- 11:30Speaker 1: Liam And let's be honest here, the group will never
- 11:32Speaker 1: be together again because Liam's gone. They'll never be the
- 11:36Speaker 1: one direction. There's one person missing, and so you are
- 11:40Speaker 1: going to hear rumors that they're getting back together. But
- 11:42Speaker 1: trust your friend rab nuts too quick. Okay, moving along.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Martha Stewart is under fire for taking photographs in the
- 11:50Speaker 1: Sistine Chapel in Italy, people calling her rich and privileged
- 11:55Speaker 1: and out of touch. Martha, who is aby three, the
- 11:58Speaker 1: Queen of Homemaking, is facing backlash for posting photographs of
- 12:03Speaker 1: the sixteenth Chapel during her Thanksgiving trip to Rome, despite
- 12:08Speaker 1: the Vatican's very strict no photography policy. Martha shared the
- 12:14Speaker 1: forbidden snaps on Instagram. So she's not being shy about this.
- 12:16Speaker 1: She's not taking sneaky, sneaky photos. No, she took them
- 12:19Speaker 1: and was proud of them. He praised how magnificent Michaelangelo's
- 12:23Speaker 1: work and his masterpiece isn't called it a bucket list experience. However,
- 12:28Speaker 1: Vatican rules explicitly banned photographs inside the iconic chapel, fearing
- 12:35Speaker 1: that flashes could damage the historic frescoes. A guard is
- 12:39Speaker 1: even station there to enforce the rule. I've never been,
- 12:42Speaker 1: but my friend, I'd love to go. My friends have
- 12:44Speaker 1: been and they said, it's really really strict, and everybody
- 12:48Speaker 1: respects this.
- 12:49Speaker 2: These are historical, his historical images, and if everybody took
- 12:54Speaker 2: a photograph of them, it would be a disaster, the flash,
- 12:59Speaker 2: wouldn't it. And so visitors who break this rule and
- 13:02Speaker 2: normally asked to delete the photographs. No, delete the pictures.
- 13:07Speaker 1: It's not like the Sistine's Chapel, like the Vatican needs
- 13:11Speaker 1: social media. It's doing just fine. Lots of people are going,
- 13:15Speaker 1: so it's not like these silly, silly social media influencers
- 13:19Speaker 1: who are like, I'm doing you a favor, I'm promoting
- 13:21Speaker 1: your business. No, no, no, the vatic gun is doing
- 13:24Speaker 1: just fine. Martha Stewart going to the sistinees Chapel doesn't
- 13:28Speaker 1: make me want to go any more than I did before.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I want to go and see this. I will at
- 13:32Speaker 1: some point. So fans are saying that that Martha is
- 13:35Speaker 1: quite out of touch and this is rich privilege. The
- 13:39Speaker 1: frescoes date back to fifteen twelve, and now Martha Stewart
- 13:44Speaker 1: clearly doesn't think the rules apply to her. Doesn't that
- 13:48Speaker 1: make you mad? It makes me really mad. Just because
- 13:51Speaker 1: you're rich and famous, doesn't mean that you can ruin
- 13:54Speaker 1: something for the rest of us, which is what you're
- 13:55Speaker 1: gonna do. If we let every rich and famous person
- 13:58Speaker 1: go and take photographs or do whatever they want, then
- 14:01Speaker 1: the objects, the historical objects, wouldn't be there for our children,
- 14:05Speaker 1: their children, their children to enjoy. Supplay by the rules,
- 14:09Speaker 1: a little bit of respect, and let's remember too, it's
- 14:11Speaker 1: a church. You're in a church, Martha. Come on, okay,
- 14:16Speaker 1: moving along, Tina and Noles is talking about Beyonce being
- 14:21Speaker 1: crowned Billboard's most Influential Greatest Pop Star of the twenty
- 14:27Speaker 1: first century. So wow, this is a huge honor. We
- 14:30Speaker 1: spoke about this a couple of days ago on the show.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Billboard put out the list. I think it was the
- 14:34Speaker 1: top fifty of the greatest pop stars of the twenty
- 14:37Speaker 1: first century. They didn't tell us who was number one,
- 14:39Speaker 1: but we know they released They revealed that Taylor Swift
- 14:42Speaker 1: was number two, of Britney Spears's on the list, Lady
- 14:45Speaker 1: Gager on the list Ariana Grande, but they kept number
- 14:47Speaker 1: one a secret. Well, we all knew. I told you
- 14:50Speaker 1: last week there was one name missing from the list.
- 14:53Speaker 1: It was Beyonce. She had to be number one. There's
- 14:55Speaker 1: no way she was not going to be on the list,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and there was only one spot available that had not
- 15:00Speaker 1: being revealed, and that was number one, so we knew
- 15:02Speaker 1: it was Beyonce. Well, TMS caught up with Beyonce's mummy
- 15:06Speaker 1: in La Tina Knowles, and asked her about this monumental achievement,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and Tina had a very strange response, saying, we're used
- 15:14Speaker 1: to it. It's just another day for Beyonce. Oh it's
- 15:18Speaker 1: a bit disappointing, isn't it. So the Unstoppable Queen doesn't
- 15:22Speaker 1: seem to be that sort of happy, thrilled please about
- 15:28Speaker 1: this honor. I don't know, Tiny, I think it would
- 15:32Speaker 1: have been better just to say, wow, isn't that exciting?
- 15:36Speaker 1: Do you ever find some people are not that humble,
- 15:39Speaker 1: are just expecting all this stuff. They don't care anymore.
- 15:44Speaker 1: They have so much that they don't care anymore when
- 15:47Speaker 1: more comes along. It made me a bit sad here.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I think the response is really cavalier, almost dismissive. And no,
- 15:55Speaker 1: that's not the way to accept a huge honor. Okay,
- 15:59Speaker 1: we're gonna take a quick break. Movie right back, Welcome
- 16:03Speaker 1: back to the naughtybundt Iesham your houses rub shooter, Hey naughties,
- 16:07Speaker 1: let's get to the polls DA DA DA. Last year
- 16:11Speaker 1: we talked about Kelly ben Simone. You might not know her.
- 16:13Speaker 1: She was on the Real Housewives of New York and
- 16:16Speaker 1: she was Bethany Frankel's nemesis. Well, now she's revealing that
- 16:19Speaker 1: she was on a dating app and guess who she
- 16:21Speaker 1: was talking with, Bethany's new boyfriend, Oh the scandal. A
- 16:26Speaker 1: question was quite simple, should Bethany dump him? If you
- 16:30Speaker 1: found out that someone you were dating was on a
- 16:34Speaker 1: dating app talking to other people, would you dump them?
- 16:38Speaker 1: It's certainly a major red flag. Let's have a look.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Seventy five percent said yes, Bethany, you can do better.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I agree. If I found out that somebody I was dating,
- 16:50Speaker 1: not on one date, maybe not on four dates. But
- 16:53Speaker 1: if I've been dating someone for a couple of months
- 16:55Speaker 1: and there was still on dating apps, maybe they'd forgot
- 16:59Speaker 1: to delete their profile. I get it. Most people now,
- 17:01Speaker 1: so many people meet online. There's no shame to it.
- 17:04Speaker 1: But once we're together, I don't want you to be active.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Your profile can be dormant. You haven't got to delete
- 17:11Speaker 1: it right away. I get it. We forget to do things.
- 17:14Speaker 1: But if I found out you were talking to other
- 17:17Speaker 1: people behind my back and not other people in a
- 17:21Speaker 1: restaurant or a bar. This is a dating app. You're
- 17:25Speaker 1: only going to this app for one reason and that's
- 17:28Speaker 1: to date. Well you're dating me now, so why are
- 17:30Speaker 1: you there? I don't like this at all. I agree
- 17:33Speaker 1: with you. Nought ease, don't forget to vote on today's
