- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like the preseason wasn't good enough.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_03]: I might have a little prediction before you did it, Kenny.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: Go.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: Goody, goody.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: So help with maybe my bold prediction.

- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: Most of them should be done today.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_03]: We slow draft over Labor Day weekend and just in time for the kickoff of the season, but that's join the dogs dot com if you're just didn't do in that for the season.

- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he pretty much get to shoot the shit all weekend long and draft some players and have some fun and I know some people are aching to get the draft done, but I mean as long as we get her done on the weekend, man It's fun to talk to everybody and see what they're doing for the weekend and I mean I don't know about you guys Seems like everybody's got nice weather this weekend, so yeah, that's awesome
- 3:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, it sure is and you know Justin first all it's great to have you on the show.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely good to be back good Just back daughter cheers for a football team that kicks off at midnight.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: No, so Now eight o'clock, but I mean, we we spend the whole weekend at the high school stadium It is it's pretty incredible Friday Saturday Sunday.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're either at Perry Perry house a high school in mass and shout out and then or Gletto Kai school in plain township That's where I graduated from
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: We just alternate every weekend.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: It is non-stop.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_03]: I had no idea what we signed up for it's crazy You guys are so busy, but yeah, yeah good to have you here on the show today.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_03]: So how about you kick it off for us?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely, right your first bold prediction for the Cleveland Browns here in 20 26
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to start off on an extremely positive note, and just bring back a returning guy.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: I want to talk about Quinshawn Juddkins real quick, and you know what the possibility could really, really look like this year depending on
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: the offensive line.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: I, my big thing is that guy last year, he missed training camp, missed two games.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: Also, you know, got hurt week 16, and then we missed, you know, the last game of the season.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: His numbers, man, 230 carries.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, outrageous touch numbers.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: 827 yards didn't fumble the ball.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: Added 26 receptions for another almost 200 yards, 171.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: But the crazy thing is like Josh has dropped the stat numbers.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: He got nothing at the line.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: He got blown up most of the time behind the line if I remember the stat correctly.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: He had negative first contact numbers, which is insane.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it'd be a bold prediction also.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think the offensive line is improved.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we're not sure on the chemistry and all that, but I expect to get better week to week.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: I could see Quenchon Judkins hot take, and it's not really a hot take,
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, man.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_03]: I do think it's a hot take, Justin.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_03]: Just because of who he would be competing with for that top five spot.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_03]: There's some dance of dogs and some very good offensive lines and offenses overall in the leaks of Judkins was able to crack that top five.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: I think that would be saying something.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you, the talent's there.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I've said that, but will the opportunity for production be there in this offense?
- 5:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's, and I know that's what you're talking about there.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Plus, you know, everybody's got us going on 17.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: So we're not just wearing points or rush the ball or pass, right?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's a hot take.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the one thing with him like just that like you said that's stat where he got hit like a yard and a half behind the line at scrimmage.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if we can just get that to the line is when it's next or it's positive.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, don't sell me crazy.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's a hot take rate.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: Let's imagine if he gets positive yards before first contact.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: My goodness.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: You can be outrageous.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: And guys remember like last year, I was in England.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: He had a 60 yard rip taken away from him and it touched down because somebody was holding.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember who it was.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to remember who it was.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: because it's probably not.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: They're not playing for us this year if it was.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that was be 60 more yards on his like 1,000 plus or just just about 1,000 yards from the line of scrimmage.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I can see it happening.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: The other thing, too, is I guess going into the year, I was very nervous about his health.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what was he gonna look like coming back?
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: That was a big injury, that's a tough injury.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: And he looked great in training camp, really, really good.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: So, I am, my hot take is, let's go.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: Go and try and judge against to the moon.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: Top five run back.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the number 10 jersey man, get a number 10 jersey.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: Love it.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny, let's hear your first ball prediction today.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so mine, I'm gonna plant my flag into explosive plays and we're gonna be in the top five of explosive plays.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: And that's right, we're not gonna be top 20.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be mid all, we're gonna be top five.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I think this is like the Browns, they quietly build an offense with multiple different ways to create explosive plays.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I say that is because of Todd Munkin.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: And,
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: We saw last year, Dylan Samson, he ripped off his 60 yarder against the Rams.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: I just mentioned the one that Quint John missed out on, but Justin just went over the stuff that he did do over 40 yards.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then we know all about Isaiah Bond, and then we added conception, and we added Denzel Boston.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: And those guys are really good either in the short past game, which would be conception.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: or Denzel Boston with his 50 50 contested catches.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I can't see how we don't blow that up, and I just gave you the facts, but like Dylan Sandson himself, just unreceiving yards guys.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: He was, um, was it, he had 271 yards for two TDs,
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: but he also had like 318 yac yards, right?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that was actually he caught the ball behind the line of scrimmage and he was averaging 9.6 yards a catch.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: Quinn Shaw and I won't get into any more because we just went over him.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: but I just missed it here.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: Bond again, he was basically a, you know, explosive by himself, 18.8 yards per reception.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you guys mix that all together, I think we can really do it, but I have, based I have what we need to do it here.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: So just give me one second.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: So we got,
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, measurables Cleveland finishes it going to finish in the top five of 20 plus yard plays and the reason is is the guys that I just mentioned, but if you take a look at the average monkey as the offense coordinator for
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: the ravens basically 74 explosive plays out of 1,335 plays per year.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's was his average so about seven right the Cleveland Browns themselves last year 41 explosive plays with that very young not mature offense out of you know that was out of one thousand 30 plays so it's just
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: So, if we can get that functioning to, uh, Monkton's average of, let's say about 70, was 7.2 will say about 7%.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: If you take the exact same number of plays, so 1,030.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: that 72 explosive plays.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: So what that where that puts us basically that puts us at number five last year in the league just over the Ravens I believe because they had 68 68 explosive plays last year.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: And now I'm not saying we got Lamar Jackson I'm not saying we have
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: The King of Rushing, Henry, but we do have a lot of guys, and I think we can attack for many, many different angles, whether it's the screen, whether it's passing like just on a short hook to conception, and he runs, you know, just enough to make an explosive.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: How many times can we pass it down to Denzel Boston, and he wins that 50-50 ball, so
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Browns can actually show a lot of explosive plays, Samson, Jenkins, they basically had poor blocking, or despite the poor blocking, showed that they could do some stuff last year.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Bond showed he could do it, but now you add those rookies to the mix, and I think you can flat out.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: have the 72 to 75 explosive plays based on everything that Todd Monk can stands for as far as offense is concerned that line comes together and all the new guys that we have on our team.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's what's going to work out for us.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: So one thing I will say about the explosive plays and this is not a hot take.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to rely a lot on YAC getting the, getting the ball in the guy's hands quickly and letting them make a play effort because if you're counting on explosive plays down the field with the Sean Watson playing quarterback, not going to happen.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, and that's it.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad that you pointed that out because that's why we have conception and that's why we have, we talked a lot about what a Jenkins can do.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: The screen games going to come along, bubbles, short hooks, slants, those are, that's what's going to make it for us because we, I think the run games couldn't come along with these guys as well, right?
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: So, Jenkins maybe had what eight last year, if he gets to 16 and everybody doubles up, just who was on the team last year, we get closer to that 72 explosive.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Did you say what constitutes an explosive play?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: 20 plus yards.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: So much yards.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: OK. Yeah.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: No, I could see it, Kenny.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think just the infusion of young talent is huge.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just talking based off last year, there were so many times we were just like, man, we wish we had a playmaker out there.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: We wish we had an alpha.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think we have two incredibly great wide receivers that we took first round.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, where the upside is, outrageous with both of those guys,
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: especially Casey I think with what he can do with special teams and stuff like that like his.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: He can put points on the board in ways that we couldn't imagine before we drafted him.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly man and you know what there's one guy didn't even mention I was wondering if you guys were going to call me out on it yet but I didn't mention fan in fan in.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah yeah I mean you know the talent is outrageous on the you know offense upside the ball it just comes down to two question marks for me and it's quarterback
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: and it's offensive line play.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I think until we see week one, we're we're going to all be beating that drum at least in my opinion.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's a mark.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: This one's nuclear hot.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's nuclear hot.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: It is because explosive plays and Cleveland Brown's offense don't exactly go together, especially under Kevin's defense.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: You hear the last few years, but it is a new coaching staff.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: I do like to obviously give Todd Monk in the benefit of the doubt.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't even seen him coach and game yet Not a real game So that's exactly it and you know what he's known for explosive plays is it's something's got it something's got a tip in our favor And I know these guys can break a lot of tackles totally get that we're not going to be tossing a ton down But hey either way we know we know bond and we know Denzel loss and can get open down the field You can close your eyes and throw it up in the air, you know
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: Well, so I guess for my first bold prediction here, then Justin's got the top five running back.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny's got the top five in explosive plays.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: And for me on Sunday, the campaign begins, Casey Concepcion will finish with 1,300 all-purpose yards and win offensive rookie of the
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: We've already seen the glimpses of how Todd Munkin intends to use Casey Concepcion.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: There's been a lot of talk of him just stepping right into that zafelower's role for the Browns that Munkin had over there in Baltimore.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's a bolt prediction considering the Brown's wide receivers combined for just like 1,400 total yards.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think in 2025 something like that.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_03]: But this dude, this kid is different, man.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_03]: I'm predicting somewhere around 80 receptions for about 1,000 yards receiving, maybe like 15 punt returns for 185 yards, 10 carries 115 rushing yards.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_03]: I think KC can see on locks down the offensive rookie of the year award.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: And that brings us some pretty positive outlook for the future here in Cleveland.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_03]: So how do you guys feel about KC and the over way?
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I love it.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: I love the take.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, it's not that crazy.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, a lot of things have to go right.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, as far as like what the Browns want to do offensively.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: But for the reasons you've already said, he's a electric in space.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he is super-shifty.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: Special teams, I think, is going to be, I mean, huge.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Something that we've missed for multiple years now, like where we have not had a guy that can do what he can do.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: The thing that I was curious about is I was like man I just don't know if they're gonna utilize him enough heading into the season and then you saw what they did Whether it was Drew training camp and even the preseason game that preseason drives like to get him the ball a lot I think he'll be heavily utilized I mean it's It's not it's not that crazy.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: It really isn't I and I love it.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: I love the kid.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think his upside is huge
- 16:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think in that precies and gave me what less than a half because I don't think he played the entire first half and I think he had what three receptions I can't remember if that was how many targets he had.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was true for 20.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, true rush for.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think you had two rushes action one might have gotten called I can't remember I just and I know he had the punt return like every time.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: something happened for the Browns.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: It was, oh, there's number one.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's a shoe-laced tackle away from getting loose on that matter of turn too.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're just crazy to see.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: We've watched it so many times where we, you know, my partners are on her kick and it's just getting absolutely blown up right there.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: They just back off of it because they don't want to just deal with it at all.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: This kid is going to get the ball and he is going to get loose and he's going to, it's going to turn into points.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: This is going to be this young generation's Josh Krebs for Browns fans like.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: And it's
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: What he can do is receive or to is outrageous, it's going to be great.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, he's getting comparisons to Antonio Brown, just hopefully he doesn't have the crazy side of it, but I mean, I mean, that guy's got what 7.36 yards after the catch in his final college season, and I mean, mountains already compared either whether it's formations or using elements that he used to use in Baltimore to say flowers, right?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: And like, my notes on that guy, like, I mean,
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's just going to be like a separator.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be a motion guy all the time.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to move them all over the place.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to manufacture touches like Josh was saying, right?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: So like whether it's special teams or whatever.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's why he's had him as all purpose yards, right?
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: Just in stop at line of scrimmage or like, you know, receiving it's everything.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is going to be like Eric Medkaff and touch the ball as many times as possible.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and that's why the Brown's so come in the first round because they knew with his skill set because I know a lot of people during the draft They they prefer to guy like Denzel Boston the first round.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, like out of taken Boston over Casey I heard that from a ton of people and I get it We have not had that prototypical sized you know boundary perimeter receiver forever who can go out there and do what Denzel Boston can do But Casey concepts you own skill set in the way he can be utilized is that is what the NFL wants right now Yeah, and
- 18:27[SPEAKER_03]: he would have never made it out of the first round.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_03]: So the Browns had to take him where they did.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so grateful that they did.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think the way he high points the ball even compared to Denzel Boston is just such an interesting catch on like coachable thing like he just has it, you know, like you just can't teach everybody that and it's amazing to see him high point the ball.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's got that dog in him.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he does.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: We all go.

- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: Will the Seahawks raise their championship banner that night?
- 19:12[SPEAKER_03]: Of course they will.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_03]: They're the defending champs.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: They're home opener and raising the banner before kickoff is part of the celebration.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_03]: And you're getting that bet at plus money odds.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: You're getting paid to say, yes, the Seahawks will do the thing.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_03]: The entire night is built around.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's the first my bookie lock at the season.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_03]: And there'll be more coming all season long.

- 21:01[SPEAKER_03]: So before we do our second round of board predictions, I did want to touch on some news just from today out of, you know, if we had some Todd Monk and talked to the media, they practiced today.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: So did you have you guys seen anything from today or?
- 21:16[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_03]: So the first thing that I saw, which was very positive, all 53 on the roster war active in a counter for today.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_03]: No injury designation, heading into week one.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_03]: I think that might be the first time I've ever seen that in Cleveland.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's good to hear.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: That was kind of like a hot take.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking like we finally going to get a year where everybody's slightly healthy, right?
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: You're always going to have your injuries.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's hanging up.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes you just get six people on the IR instead of 26.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_03]: But to open up the first week of the season at practice, first day one.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_03]: everybody's out there.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_03]: So that's good to hear, man.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: Good to hear.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: I say a bond back from I say or back from concussion protocol.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Good.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Good for him.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's all.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: So again, like everybody, you know, Malik Collins, everybody's out there.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_03]: So that's good.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_03]: Um, did you guys hear about the team captains?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: I saw.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: I saw.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, okay.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: So for anybody watching listening who didn't catch this.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_03]: Todd Monkins said today that there will not be season long team captains like most teams do every year.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: Instead, the coaches will determine who the five team captains will be each week.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_03]: Two from all fronts, two from defense, one from special teams and then at the end of the year, the team, the players will vote on who they think their 20, 20, six team captains should have been essential.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's interesting.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: I saw it a lot, I guess.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's, yeah.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_03]: As soon as I saw it, I was like, this seems like a weird way to say, okay, you can be a captain in week one, but we don't think you're going to be a captain by week 17.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it definitely screams that for sure.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: I get what he said, and I lied.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: I did catch a little bit of what he said after.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, well, it's a young team.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't want to hammer it down on one single person.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he wants to give that experience to plethora of players.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, that's great.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I think there's something to be said about consistency, too.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now,
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's a whole quarterback situation.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, oh, really the Sean.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's a starting quarterback.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to happen man.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's that's going to happen.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not too worried about that.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: Mason Graham and then we had was it Zion Zion Zion that I thought the Zion one was interesting.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if he's taking the leadership role on the offensive line and then what I'm hoping for for Mason Graham as well.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: We need our
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: tackles to be a stud and that guy hopefully can take another step.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then not having Denzel War was kind of weird.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: So Tyson Campbell was interesting, but maybe it's just another young guy that they want him to show some leadership.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not happy with it.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_03]: You can't read anything into it because it's just your captains for this week.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be completely different crew next week.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_03]: I did see like because I was just scrolling Twitter and then right below that it was like the Texans announced their team captains for the season and it was, you know, they had like a guy for special teams and then because they also had five and I think it was like four guys on defense and one guy on offense.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like they didn't, they're just like these are our captains.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't really matter where they what side of the ball they play on.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking, well, why the hell couldn't we just do that?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_03]: You could name Denzel Ward Grant Delpit.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_03]: Carson Swesinger and Jared Versh there you could have 14 captains right there on your defense side of the ball and nobody would bad in I at that on offense I get that it's a little more difficult because it's mostly young guys and And you don't have any like long time returning veteran type players here, but you could just say well the quarterback They just name it to Sean Watson as your offensive captain and go from there.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: All right
- 24:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it it's going to be interesting to follow this how I think anyway like each week Who gets and then is there going to be repeat captains and oh man the politics and this is going to be fun Yeah, I mean, I think you'll see guys certain guys like step ahead though I think like you're going to see Jared versus in like Casey's and like guys that that really want it and like want to build with this team and like get better Down the road.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think those guys are you're going to see them emerge
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: And we obviously know that's the core foundation moving forward, you know, like, I mean, I'm sure there's still guys that are going to emerge, hopefully, but you know, like guys are gonna step forward.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see Jared verse, you know, sitting off of the sideline, not being a leader by next week.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's already out there doing a he's doing reps with Fano, he's doing all the right things too.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I just, you know, it is what it is.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe it's a chance for some of the guys that don't get a lot of shine.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're opportunity.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, maybe they're working towards something.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the team wants that.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's what they worked for.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, that's what gets people going through the week.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: They could possibly be the captain.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: I do find it odd though, like just from like a working standpoint, like the three of us in our own separate jobs.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: We just reported to a different manager every week.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be kind of weird.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not the coach and I get it's team captain, but there's certain things that happen on game day that those captains are responsible for so like if it's, you know, sorting out a penalty or whatever it is and you got to think okay, do I have to go to, you know, Jared this week or do I go to grant this week or like who do I go to like, you know, is that going to be a thing?
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know like maybe they're just making more of it than it is, it's a talking.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, honestly, it's probably not that big of a deal.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_03]: I just I guess my perspective when I first saw it, I was like, so this just kind of feels like participation trophy time.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, everybody's going to get a chance to be a captain this year.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, yeah, okay.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_03]: So I get named team captain this week.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: What do you freaking do next week?
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's this guy over here and he's not, you know, maybe he's not working as hard as me or being as big of a leader, but they already gave it to me once.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's stupid.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's another thing I feel like, and I could be totally wrong.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_03]: You guys tell me if you think I'm out of line here, just feels like unnecessary drama that we're creating for ourselves as an organization that really you just don't need.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's weird.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: Why would we ever want to do that?
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Just being honest, you know?
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, it's probably not a big deal, but maybe
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, can we talk about that, Brooke?
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: What do you guys think about that sweatshirt?
- 27:31[SPEAKER_03]: So Katherine Hickman walks out of the street in a press conference wearing a sweatshirt that said, Los Angeles made me do it, okay?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: Now, it have holes in it and people are like, oh, I can't believe you.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, executive for the team would wear a sweatshirt with holes.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like,
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's like I don't care about the holes.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_03]: Did you see what the shirt said, but what did you guys think that she just randomly picked that out of the closet and not think twice or, you know, does she know what she was doing?
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Justin go first.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not sure whether she knew or knew like didn't know that she was going to hit a press conference with that on, but just like
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: be, you know, one with your surroundings kind of, hey, maybe not where that sweatshirt.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: If you're the assistant GM for Cleveland and you'd, we just traded away, you know, arguably one of our best players, you know, like, ever, leave me.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you could say, since 99, you know what I mean?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like, raining, top 100 guy, braining defensive player the year again.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe not where the one guy, not just top 100.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: He was the guy I know, but I'm saying like maybe not where the Los Angeles made me do it sweatshirt like maybe switch it up and you know, Cleveland Browns.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would be cool or, you know, if you want to wear, you know, Stone Cold Steve Austin T-shirt anything but Los Angeles made me do it like that like just hey the fan base and like the people the city they're really just kind of they're exhausted right now, so maybe just not throw gasoline on the fire would be excellent, but
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's, you know, I may be I'm just a fan, but yeah.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: So if it wasn't that sweatshirt, maybe she could have worn like a Los Angeles Ram's Miles Garrett jersey, you know, just really, yeah, made a diamond or just a Clever Brown city.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: That would have been, yeah, you know.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even like what's an actor in Diamond Dally like to wear something like that like promote local do do anything but yeah that the whole rams thing and like the Freddie kitchens back in the day that you know Pittsburgh started it just there's a time and place for jokes based on the way the fan base is right now even the three of us got to be careful what we say we're going to get ripped the shreds right and I don't think it was a good look
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: paste on, you know, but the miles just the whole scenario with the shan and then like I said way back in the history of like the Freddie Kitchen's debacle and the combination of three just I think it left a bad taste and a lot of fans melts.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_03]: So here's what I'll say to a lot of people that I've seen these comments and everything and here's how I see it.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: your assistant general manager slash vice president of football operations does not just buy happen stands stumble in front of a camera so they their media their press conferences are pre-planned they know who's speaking to the media during the allotted media time each day
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not like, oh shoot, they want to talk to me real quick.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'll just step in front, no, it was planned.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: She knew what she was doing.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: She put that.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: And we just think it was a funny, like a joke, like, but I'm like, probably not the best time for that.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: And who was that?
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: And then how did she talk?
- 30:46[SPEAKER_03]: She had her own was like, Catherine.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_03]: No, yeah, no, no, no, no.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Unless she lost like a fancy football she was dead last and she had the wear that shirt and she's in like the LA league or something.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know him, because mayors do that.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: They lose a playoff game.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: They had a wear the other jersey.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how that works, but I don't know if she was something like that, but it just stressing you taste.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_03]: You know, not smart and just another example of how tone deaf this organization is.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's kind of somebody said, what she probably just grabbed the first sweatshirt and her closet went out there.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: that was made has a woman ever just grabbed the first thing not even looking at it and then walked out with it come on come on of course she knew what she was doing she and she's a very smart person yeah i believe it's crazy you know she's she's very intelligent she's well educated like this is
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what the idea was, but it was not a good one.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's just been a tough two weeks for the PR team at the Browns.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: They've been thanks to me every day about my experiences and tickets, and I just hate telling them not a great experience the last few years.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: No, then 23.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, just keep calling, but that's what it is, guys.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: So that's fun and then just a couple other things they asked Todd Munkin if there could be some packages planned for tail and green.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: on Sunday against the Jaguars and he said, yeah, it's possible we could use him in that way.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: And then they said, well, this does that mean you would have three quarterbacks active.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: Because I've been saying this since we drafted him.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: You guys know this.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: If Taylor and Green, if you want to use him in packages, he has to be active on game that he can't be the emergency quarterbacks.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_03]: So Todd Munkin said, in terms of what, you know, whether they have three quarterbacks active, he said,
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: You know, yeah, if we could afford it, I'd love to have six, but three is a lot.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, teams don't have three quarterbacks active on game day, which means if tail and green were active to have packages planned for him during the game and they only have two quarterbacks active, should or Sanders is getting the inactive status for the day of the emergency quarterback.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: They were ass going nuts, but if it goes that route, that's the only way can go.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought they were asking him pre-specific questions, and then that begins to be questions about how you're going to do your offense.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought he just answered them like, sure, whatever, blaze, yeah, sure, I'll do three.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'll do 10, whatever, you know, like trying to get out of it, like what's he going to say?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're going to use him for this specific package.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Actually we really want him to be like, you know, Tyson Hill and you know, maybe we'll move him to Titan like he's not going to get in all that shit.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I just thought like this is a waste of like I almost won the press off on the press or just see you later.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: Don't want to hear it anymore.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think I didn't take any stock into that.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're not the first person that's like ever just turned off Cleo and media, brother.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_02]: You don't think that's your personal, bro.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: I do just want to make sure everybody out there understands, though.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_03]: That this is a very realistic outcome.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not for week one, because I think honestly to have your rookie six round quarterback who's never taken any rest of the first team.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: Or any reps hardly at all during training camp to be your backup quarterback for the first game is probably a very stupid move Yeah, which is why I'm not I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, but it wouldn't be smart But at some point If I'm just saying if you want to use him in packages and you don't want to burn a third roster spot active spot on game day on a quarterback There's only one route to go and I think people
- 34:31[SPEAKER_03]: either don't understand the way the active roster works on game days or they're just, you know, I don't know, refusing to believe that shit or Sanders could actually be the inactive emergency quarterback for one of these games.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, maybe it's taste of Hill and they don't realize he's a tight-end or was classified as a tight-end.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: He was just a utility knife, really.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: But that was a really good view to point that out, man.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you took a look at the QB tracker, which, you know, I was sick of, but it did show you that he got zero reps in training camp, he did not play much in the preseason, there's no way you're going to have him as your backup.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: in the first game.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's suicide.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're just going to throw the kid out there and like free.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see that happening.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's assuming that obviously Dishon Watson weren't able to go out there at any point during the game.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's never happened before.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that's that word.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I'm going.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a pretty real trade away.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like trade away a quarter back after just being like being named the second quarter back and then, you know, you're rolling out at UCLA.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: This front office has a history, so anybody right now is screaming or pound in the keyboard to say you guys are ready This is the front office that has done these things in the past.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_03]: We're only going I mean the best predictor of future You know, whatever it is is past so They've done these things Yeah, we need you to play so see you later lock-out
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, trade Joe Flacco, indivision to the Bengals after four or five weeks in Savage Crazy.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like, they've done some things.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: They've done some things.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get off of that real quick.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: Speaking of our previous coaching staff, they finally named a quarterback down there and had landed with six days to go to the season.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's pretty nice.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's not probably not going to go great.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just based off if you've been following on this camp and then just what two has kind of been through the last few years now, he's falling pretty hard from the days where he was slinging it around in Miami.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: I, not, not a great optimistic first look for, I mean, they have playmakers everywhere, but man, that's, that's tough.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of like the browns a little bit because we've got playmakers everywhere.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_03]: Huge question mark a quarter back, can the guy who's under center, can he get it done?
- 36:52[SPEAKER_03]: Can he get the ball of those guys?
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: Gonna be tough down there for them.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think Kevin's gonna have a rough year in Atlanta.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: I really do.

- 38:42[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sportsbooks before, right?
- 38:46[SPEAKER_03]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing against the house.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_03]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: You're not betting against some sportsbook.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: You're trading against other real-world people.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_03]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: So if you think the public is wrong and the Browns can make the playoffs and Todd Munkins first year, or Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, one of those guys can win offensive rookie of the year.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_03]: You can take the other side of the market and then if you're right, that's a big payout for you.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_03]: And it's not just sports either.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: You can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_03]: It works like this.

- 39:49[SPEAKER_03]: Round two of our bold predictions.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_03]: If there's any other news, we'll get to it later in a week.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: That was a lot for today, but Justin go ahead, kick it off with your, now hang on it.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: Before actually, do you guys both have positive ones?
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: My, this one is positive.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: My, I don't know.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: You got to rip off Blake so I can do mine though when you're done.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Justin is yours a little on the navy side because it's so's mine.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: I am going mine is a,
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: refurbished fan one that i've heard six or seven times i'm just throwing it out there okay we'll go ahead kick it off you could i just don't want to go last yes without a whole lot of note no you're fine so i've heard this multiple multiple times just based off of just what the Cleveland Browns have been through as a fan base and all of it the big one that just keeps getting brought back to me is what happens
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: Rob fight Eliza's his career.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: Just get some just to the fringe of 10 or 11 wins.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but you know we're not bringing him back.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: I keep hearing, I've had probably 10 people in the last week be like, this would be the ultimate Cleveland thing to happen as far as being a Browns fan.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: This guy would finally be successful enough that the draft pick wouldn't matter.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know he's not coming back, you know he hates us.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_02]: And against all odds, he somehow re-vitalizes until a little bit.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: This is just a hot take I've been told.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: Your thoughts.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's a 10 year plan, remember, it's a 10 year plan and we're in year five, guys.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: And year five, the first four years.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's a two year extension, yeah, there's a two year extension.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: Come in.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm just, I'm kidding, but it's been said, like it's been said, and that's why people think it, right?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: Barry went up in a press conference, probably about two and a half years ago, and said, it's a 10 year plan.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's a 10 year plan.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's a 10 year plan.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: twenty twenty four season.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: So he said it's a ten-year plan.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, that's where this comes from.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_03]: He said it's a ten-year timeline and part of that was the contract.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I think it is kind of a ten-year timeline for the contract.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: Because it's going to be on the books for ten years.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_03]: One, two, one.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, but we'll be in the new stadium and we'll still be looking at the roster on OTCC and deadcap.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there's Deshawn Watts' deadcap hit for this year.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's not going to go away for a while.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, but I mean, you understand what's going on, what he set up, people just take it out of context.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: And they just think that that plants the seed, man, it plants the seed, it makes it move it forward, you know what I mean?
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're 100% talking literal sense.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like, dollars and cents, that's the way it is.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: And but if you say it, people interpret it different ways and then just sits in your brain and he's gonna be here.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's, you take what you know and see and there's what actually happens.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: you make a story, right?
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: The story is like, of course he's going to be good of the way that the Cleveland Browns go, right?
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to have to continue to see him.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't see it.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see that being the case.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: Even though I picked 72 explosive plays and he's starting the season, um,
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: it's going to be with other quarterbacks.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: I know you got to the point of like, well the 72 explosive plays and the Sean Watts and it won't work.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think the plays that they're going to call between the screens and whatever any quarterback is going to have success with the type of players we have.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that people understand that the players are better even though a quarterback situation may not.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're still going to do something.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: There is literally 51 other players on the or 52 other players on this team, you know, so we have to take that into account.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to do better and some aspects of football, not just the quarterback.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's the main piece.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: I 100% get it, but I would rather be throwing to conception than whoever we are throwing to last year.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's the main thing.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: center to squad for the Saints he gone he gone right so that's kind of that that's kind of my two cents on that Josh oh No way in hell's the strong lots and having a research and season guys don't worry about it um
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: You don't, if you're if you're concerned about the Browns getting screwed out of a draft pick because the Sean Watson played too good this year, you can go to sleep tonight and rest easy.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_03]: You're resting.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_03]: Don't want to worry about it.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: Don't want to worry about it.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think kind of a high, if we're going to talk about the Sean for just a second, I didn't have this for today, but I mean, it's kind of a hot take to Sean Watson might play the most games he's ever played for the Browns in a season this year.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_03]: Now, that's not saying a whole lot because I think the most he's ever played is like six or seven.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think you played seven right 2022 after the suspension bolt.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah up to the ball tomorrow.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, you're right at the Because this is suspended for 11.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, I guess it would have been six.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: It would have been 11.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: Six.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_03]: So Either way, I know a lot of people think, oh, well, we're gonna go lose two games in Florida And then they're gonna bench him and roll shit door out there for the home opener.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't I don't think this first while ownership doesn't care
- 45:01[SPEAKER_03]: if he gets booed.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_03]: They don't care if the stadium's happy or not.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's playing week three and I think he's playing week four on Thursdays and I football.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's a Steelers.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: For sure.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: I just my the big thing just whenever I talk to people about that take because I'm like that is a very Cleveland take I absolutely Absolutely absolutely and just all the the crazy inception world that we live in where you know We're stuck in this Cleveland Browns rut and Cleveland Indians rut and just we're close with the cows But we got 2016, you know, we get a little bit here and there, but
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: just that um i can completely understand where people are coming from i just i think that history will tell you that the injuries have really like taken a toll and then i think you know he's not the same guy used to be and that's you know it is what it is he's older
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: he missing games has really those those lost games were tough and you know and it didn't look great when we saw him the last time and then physically you know like he's not the same guy.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well hey when the part of it was collapsing in the game what too when you played in the third period yeah you could see that he was not comfortable.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: He was not comfortable and made him look bad, and then it turned him, you know, on the podium and he said just the wrong things, you know, yeah, he's going to handle it, you know?
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: I almost took it as like when he was in the third quarter it was like beneath him, but that was just me.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: So the last time, whenever he missed from the end of 2020, remember he missed the entire 2021 season, we traded for him, he misses the first 11 games.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was 700 days between actual NFL games against opposing NFL for string defenses.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_03]: When he takes the field Sunday against the Jaguars, it will be 694 days since the last time he played a first team defense and I promise you the Jaguars defense is better than the bangles were in 2024.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: The Jaguars have a legit defense, I think, that's going to be tough.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's not going to be like what he saw on the preseason against the Bears, or you know the third stringers against the bills that had him shook.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be rough.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'd, if I fully expected to look.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: The script writers told me that, you know, Travis Hunter is going to pick off the Sean Watson and throw up the perfect timing in the inzo when he's running it back.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's what he's going to pick it off and give it to Monkey and say you should start it sooner.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it's going to be.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: Nice.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: Could be some of that.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_03]: Well pure entertainment.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_03]: That wasn't the most positive pot take here So board prediction number two for me.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna keep going down.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_03]: My first one was very positive for Casey conception The second one here is you guys have both talked about it just and you've been afraid about this forever
- 47:54[SPEAKER_03]: And my, my bold prediction is the Brown's offensive line will finish as one of the lower ranked offensive lines in 2026.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_03]: Now, before everybody gets mad at me for saying that, I, it'll be improved from last year when I think we were ranked like 31st or something almost dead last.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking we had finished this season in the ranks somewhere between like 24 and 28.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_03]: Somewhere in that range.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_03]: Bottom of the league, but not the dead bottom.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_03]: And here's why so, you know, A.B.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_03]: through a ton of resources, dollars, draft picks at the line, but we still don't know what it's going to look like, again, especially against the first team.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_03]: Defend Zion Johnson is an Iron Man who doesn't miss any time, but again, he's never graded out very well over any of his first four seasons in LA.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: He was a first round pick out there for the chargers, and they opted not to bring him back.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a little bit concerning.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: Titus Howard historically a pretty good past blocking tackle.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of just so, so in the run game, the Texans let him go for just a fifth round pick.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, if these were like very, very high-end linemen, their teams would not have been letting them go at least not at those levels.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_03]: Elton Jenkins.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_03]: Historically better, I think, at a guard position than he is at center, but he's currently the best option that we have at center.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_03]: So that's where he's going to open the season, but it's probably not the most ideal spot.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_03]: And he's got durability concerns coming off of, you know, the season under last year in and now the lineup all training camp will see speaking of durability, Tevin Jenkins, he's probably going to start the season at right guard.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: But the question isn't, you know, will he miss time?
- 49:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's how much time will he miss?
- 49:31[SPEAKER_03]: And then after that, you're looking at two rookies.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_03]: You got Spencer Fano, Austin Barber.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pumped about Fano, everything that he showed throughout camp, the preseason at the left tackle spot.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_03]: He's gone mono e mono every day against Jared Verse, that's been very encouraging.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_03]: but I'm also still a little cautious about the concerns from the draft season like whether he's actually got the size to play left tackle consistently in the NFL.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_03]: He's super athletic, very strong, very good offensive linemen.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_03]: I just need to see it all play out before I start handing out any crowns to these guys for these positions.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_03]: So it kind of just all leads me to like pump the brakes a little bit on you know calling for this offensive line to be so much improved.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_03]: I hope they are.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: but the concerns really have me sobered on what to expect.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think it gets like an end up being one of the biggest talking points of the season, you know, potentially.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: The whole quarterback thing completely like pulled the curtain up on what was going on with the offensive line.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: It was like one of our biggest biggest things that we shot it out.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: Kenny, I have a feeling Kenny's gonna be positive about it cause I have, I've been really, really, really excited.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm 99% sure he's got something for this, but it's just, it's a lot of, I agree it's better.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: We were talking about practice squad guys at points last year and we couldn't hold a block.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: We couldn't do anything we couldn't get.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'll push on the line of scrimmage.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: It was disastrous as far as that position of group last year.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: Also, we basically rotated out all of our older guys that, you know.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: four or five years ago, we thought we're gonna be studs and just had come to the end of the line for us, whether it was Patonio, who had a great career, Wyatt Teller, you know, all these guys have moved on.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: completely rebuilt no chemistry and the crazy thing is is we're not even sure what guys starting at what position yet you know and obviously this is they're plugging in now we feel better about it but two months ago we were going we don't know who the center is we don't even know who the is to want Jones going to be on the line like are we doing that like I think there's some clarity now who the starters are going to be moving forward but it's a lot and it's a lot to figure out quickly and week one's going to come quick
- 51:44[SPEAKER_02]: I just hope that they can just get all on the same page, build some chemistry and just, you know, stack, stack moral victories, whether it's not actually game victories and grows a unit.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, so with the line, obviously I'm going to believe in a month picking 72 explosive plays to, you know, with a shitty line, right?
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I know our coach doesn't want to see shitty football either, but something's got to give based on what you guys are saying.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: We pretty much revamped this entire offensive line and we don't know what to expect.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: My, my understanding is that while the braveens have been awesome,
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: They've got tighter, they've had tighter linder bomb and they had the guy they drafted, the left tackle, or forget his name.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: But after that has been kind of a hodgepodge guys in and out, I think.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: They've been Cleveland, they had some other guys coming in and out there.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I kind of feel like we're here.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not telling you we're going to be a top 10 offensive line.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're going to be middle of the road at best.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: right.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I'm hoping for to get any kind of offense or just a split second more of maybe time held at the line of scrimmage just to get the ball to these playmakers, right?
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't I'm not as down on the line because I believe in George Warhop.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think he can squeeze something out of these guys.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: However,
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like again, I'm talking about mid tier here guys.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about mid tier offensive lineman.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: If they can somehow jealous a unit, you know, that's great.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: We'll start off kind of slow.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming so I don't think this team's going to fully form because of the new coach, the new program.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I should say the new coaches.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: The new program, the new offense, they're running like everything like they're going to be fully foreign until four games into the season, like it's going to take a bit, right?
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like we're coming with the same team and we're just going to roll right into the season.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: So that's where the roughness comes, but I think they could possibly be something.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, mountains always saying, let's take the elite trait, you know, Titus, how our class blocker, Zion Johnson, run blocker,
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, either they'll figure it out on the line, like anything that I know or heard or read about.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: Moncton is he can get points on the board and he'll figure out an offense to make it work with what he has.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: If you can't, then we don't have anything and we're starting from scratch again on that offensive line.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny, why don't you close this out with your last bold prediction?
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I'm going to go with our defense.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: Mine's going to be a little bit more positive.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: I want them on the positive route.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: We're just starting the season.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: I got to be happy about something.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yeah, bro.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: freaking rounds better backers together and have something to cheer for, man.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: And this is kind of like taken from Blake, because Blake was he was something along the lines of like, if we stay healthy, our defense is going to be better than it was last year or better overall than it was last year.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna take that a little bit different and I know everybody's kind of sour and we're talking about our assistant general manager and wearing the shirt, but from LA, but I mean, a lot of people are like, how can you trade miles Garrett?
- 54:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm gonna tell you, Mike Rootenberg, I love the whole, the ball is oxygen, you wanna breathe it in.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that along with Blake, I think the 2026 Browns defense is going to be better without Miles Garrett.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm not saying, Jared versus going to be better than Miles.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: And what I'm saying is I think we got guys with his heart, mind, fist, mindset.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to make a lot of turnovers because we didn't get a lot of turnovers last year.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, just on a small thing, like a couple of facts I can tell you, is Garrett's pressure rate was 17.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think Josh mentioned before, verse was just under at 16%, it's just Garrett makes sacks happen versus it quite there yet, right?
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: We were like 30th in takeaways in
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: We can be tied for fifth and takeaways this year, guys, that's my hot take and the reason is I don't know if you guys have seen training camp.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: We've had a couple more turnovers in the preseason, but in training camp, especially guys are batten that ball up in the air.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: And they're getting a lot of interceptions.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're saying, eyes because the Sean sucks and our quarterback suck and that whole thing.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is, as they're still doing it, they're still making an effort to turn the ball over.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and I think that's really where it's going to come from is that these guys are playing for each other.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: You have Malik Collins back.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: Our defense was really good with him.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: He gets that up the middle penetration, which will help our defense events clamp down on the quarterback.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: But the other thing is we've got Quincy Williams and we
- 56:38[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't had something like that as well.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like with J.O.K.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: we don't have them at sucks, but this guy seems like he can arrive at the ball and he arrives violent man that's gonna take some, make some fumbles.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously dude, we got questions here guys.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_01]: We got questions here, so that's pretty awesome.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_01]: But here it is, here it is.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: I got some stats here for us to actually look at right now.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so the browns are gonna double their interceptions.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's not my hot take, right?
- 57:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we had 11 interceptions last year.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: We covered seven fumbles, our turnovers, if we double, okay, that'll be 22 interceptions.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's 29, that's 29 turnovers overall.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: If we just stay even Steven with the fumbles from last year, so seven fumbles, 29 would have tied us third last year with the Texans.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: right, and I'll go through everything that I possibly said about that heart, mind, fist, philosophy.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, this defense, they do play with heart and by heart, I mean, they play for each other.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: You can hear them and every presser that these guys do.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_01]: Mind, they know they're assignment.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: They know where they're supposed to be.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: They know what the quarterbacks thinking.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know they've seen the same scheme from the Browns, but they're going to know this during the regular season as well.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the main thing that you want to get these turnovers.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_01]: last but not least is the fist.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_01]: If someone's gonna lay the fucking hammer down on someone, I believe in these guys on this defense.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_01]: So that's how we're gonna get those 29 turnovers and that's gonna be what, that's how they're gonna breathe in this football or as oxygen and that's how we're gonna do it guys.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's a good take.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think the big thing that I was going to go with when you were talking about it is I think the loss of Devin Bush felt very tough That was that was a guy that I was like man impact player for us last year I don't know if we're going to be able to replace that on the field and I'm glad you brought him up because I do think Quincy Williams So huge that's a huge bringing their different, but man that guy pairing him up with swesinger
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: I only dream about what it could be like if J.O.K.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_02]: was healthy today, you know, and what J.O.K.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: and just swesinger and combination of these guys, like what could have been, but that, and then as far as like the verse thing, obviously Jared versus not Miles Garrett, but
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: of the big argument that I always hear one, Jared Versa has a motor that dude is not quitting on place.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: That dude will run the play down, it doesn't matter.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're going to like the energy of the defense.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: They are going to be feisty, go see ball kit, ball-type action.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: But...
- 59:23[SPEAKER_02]: It is, uh, I don't a lot of fans think that, you know, the trade of miles wasn't even a bad thing.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: Even that the defense is kind of so catered to them that, you know, it exposed us a little bit.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people think that.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and so like to me, you, you trade away a guy who, you know, is beloved here.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_02]: He will, he'll go down as, like we said, he's, he's, he's one of the best.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: But you're bringing in a high character guy, high energy guy.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think people are going to fall in love with his
- 59:51[SPEAKER_02]: and just like watching what he's going to do.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then you mix that in with all that young talent, amazing grams, you know, all those guys.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: Denzel's still there.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that crazy Kenny.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to take a lot because, you know, twenty two in our session.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: Historically, historically, we haven't been a good interception team.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, you know, Denzel always gets a shot at a few of them.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_02]: And it's why he plays corner back and not receiver, you know?
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's the rule.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_02]: But I could see him.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: at least bringing in a few of those, you know.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm literally kind of spinning it off, the shorts first year, and the guys had, I forget the number of turnovers, but that helped us get to 11 and five, right?
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where I think that you got a new coordinator, that Jared versus here, I think the guys are really following them as a leader, and I think they're ready to intercept the ball.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: The other small thing,
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: and maybe Josh is going to mention this, but I think Root and Burke can kind of squeeze a little bit of it the Xavier Watch season, you know, out of a manual McNeil Warren to help.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like if he, if that guy gets six interceptions, you add that to the 11 we already had, that's 17, we got to figure out five more.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_01]: five more like batten it out and like I'm really saying interceptions but turnovers were the key to that twenty twenty three team right and you know we again we'll talk about a manual McNeil Warren was he do the peanut punch out he doesn't really well but looks like other guys are kind of following suit now so that's that quite leader stuff we're like he's doing it I want to do it now you know and that's where I see the turnovers going up turnovers going up will help our season for sure
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_03]: So in 2023, the Cleveland Brown's defense force 28 turnovers, and we had one of the worst freaking differentials in the league at negative nine because we turned the bowl over 37 times.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was yeah, and somehow we made the playoffs with that.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's why coaches got fired that year even though people were unhappy about it.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_03]: So you said, you know, 22 interceptions is kind of what you're predicting here for the Browns.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: You know who had 22 interceptions last year.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_03]: That was the second most in the league.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_03]: And it was the Jacksonville Jaguars who we get to play on Sunday.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_01]: who did a lot of the same stuff right now.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to I did actually look at that stat.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't say it the other stat that I did see is the Jaguars did have two block punts last year.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think Jared verse had two on his own last year and we're turmoil for such a not saying that's going to happen.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's a hot take for this back game.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_03]: We're not in existence.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm with it.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_03]: There's definitely, I mean, we saw Miles Garrett on special teams and make some plays.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know, block a kick and stuff here and there.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_03]: So there's always definitely potential for that stuff to happen with these other guys on the roster as well.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_03]: The big thing for me, it's kind of a given take with the defense.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_03]: Because I totally, I can see it.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_03]: I can see what Blake's been saying.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: I can see what you're saying here.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: How our defense could actually perform better this year.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: as long as we all stay healthy we're just assuming health here because obviously if you lose five of these guys we know we're not the yeah and we already did lose a guy we don't have either of our starting defense adventure miles geared is gone Alex right is now it's for the season and we're having a hard time replacing that edge production right now you know we need to go forth edge rush or even with Alex right so put us in a bigger hole we did get Malik Collins back this week full full fully cleared good to go we'll start on Sunday against
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: awesome.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_03]: That was huge.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_03]: I mean that the availability of Malik Collins in week one was going to be big for me as far as well.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: Are the jigs going to be gashin us up the middle?
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: Or do we have a shot at stop in the run?
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think Mason Graham's continued emergence.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_03]: You know, can he step up in late or year two?
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_03]: He needs to, I think, to kind of justify that top five overall pick.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_03]: And then you guys know, I'm
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm giddy about our safety position.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_03]: I love that man.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like help it and then Hickman and Manuel McNill warned the backup guys with Daniel Thomas and Donovan McNill.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the safety group could help really spruce up those interception numbers.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_03]: Let's turn over numbers.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to get a lot of slot.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to get a lot of playing the slot the safety's for the steam.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, we know Carson's.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_03]: Wesinger, if you can grab a pick or two, Quincy Williams, like you guys said, the potentials there.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_03]: So I love this board prediction.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_03]: This is to me, it is a board prediction, but it's one that I'm like, if the season ended, and we were top five in turnovers, and the defense did take a step up from us.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't be shocked.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_03]: Wouldn't be shocked.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_03]: Anything else for today guys any other off-handed hot takes you just want to talk out there real quick.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a discord one.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even from who Jay dog.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh Jay dog decided to be good.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_02]: What is it?
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_02]: So Jay dog has now in his defense.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_02]: This was a hot take for him.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_02]: This was back in February.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_02]: He told me
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_02]: and the discord Isaiah Bond will have a better year than say flowers, which I was like, whoa, that is a big hot take brother.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I like Isaiah's.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and his defense, we went out and took basically to starting receivers.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, I think he, I'm waiting for him to revisit it, but he is a big, big believer in Bond and what he can do.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Bond is part of that trio.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're kind of getting to across roads with him like, you know, we're we're going to probably move forward.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very excited about the idea of having bond, uh, Casey and Denzel Boston out there together.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like that is about as explosive and and great as you can get and they're all different.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, bond can run the deep.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_01]: Boston can, you know, so I mean, you know, I'll reach out to the choir, brother.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I made that pick.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_02]: It is crazy.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, 72 guys.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_01]: We sold them to keep that in mind.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_02]: We sold them in bunch formations.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_02]: And it was like, whoa, you know, like, the idea, what do you do there?
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if you're the defense, it's crazy.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I do see a lot of people anytime I post anything about Casey or, you know, boss and the receivers.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_03]: And I see the comments all the time.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_03]: Y'all are sleeping on bond, you're sleeping on bond.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_03]: I love Isaiah Bond.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's very talented.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_03]: I think that like a player like Casey concepts, you know, is already leave some bounds ahead of in development and you know his refinement as a receiver.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_03]: Leave some bounds ahead of where Isaiah Bond is after even, I mean, he's going into a second year.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a ways to go.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not saying he won't be good.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_03]: but his superpower and where he's best utilized down the field, those deep brout and everything.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna do that.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's gonna be rough at the beginning of the season, guys, because that's a Shidorah sander specialty.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_03]: Chuck the ball down the field, super accurate, downfield passer.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's what I loved watching about Shidorah.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: You're not gonna see it with Deshawn Watson.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_03]: I would be shocked.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, that's good.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_03]: On target, downfield throw.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_01]: You guys got to remember like Joe Flacco missed the meton for the games that he was here last year.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_01]: He was wide open on wall on it.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_01]: The only guy that could hit him for some reason is short, you know?
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I just don't see.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see it with the shot man.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you look at the tape, if you look at the bear's tape, there was guys open down field that if he would have assured put the ball on the money and let it go, let it rip a little bit early.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_01]: They would have.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: What I had it, but he chose to check down instead.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_03]: I will say this.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_03]: I know, you know, as fans, we watch football.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's fun.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_03]: We sit there, you know, Saturday, Sundays.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's great.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_03]: And we don't really consider a lot of times, like throwing the ball deep is difficult.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's really hard to do.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's why not, not very many people can do it at a high rate or very successfully repeatedly, because
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_03]: you're talking about now you're taking a chance downfield you guys defensive backs who are just as fast as your receivers with a chance to catch up if you under throat even a little bit you're screwed you over throat you're screwed a little bit out of bounds you're screwed like it's got to be so such a good throw and you're talking 20 30 40 yards in the like it's tough and you got you know an end or you know a tackle barrel around on you pretty much yeah be right in your face when you're probably a safety
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's tough.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_03]: It really is.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, that's why I don't feel passing is, yeah, it's tough to do.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_03]: It really is.
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_03]: All right, well, that was it.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's our hot-takes board predictions.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_03]: I want to hear everybody in the comments.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks, if you guys first of all, if you think we're crazy about anything we said or you agree or you just have your own board prediction, your own hot-takes for the season.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_03]: Let's hear it now before the season gets started because Sunday we start to get actual data and actual tape and actual information to make some more educated predictions for how the rest of the season's gonna go.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm excited.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_03]: I know I think temporary expectations, especially out of the gate going against two tough teams and Jacksonville and Tampa Bay down there in Florida, but I'm just excited to watch Browns football again on a Sunday afternoon and got that
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's the, it's that before the season starts feeling of maybe things will be different this year, maybe it happened.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_03]: I know they won't be.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, you know what, screw it, maybe they'll be better.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we're going to be okay this year.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, who knows the other teams, maybe they're not as good as we think they are either.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Jacksonville, Jacksonville, I mean, they had a fantastic season last year.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_01]: But they haven't, they haven't stacked.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_01]: multiple or backed back seasons in a long time, like since late 90s, I think, or maybe there was a run mid 2010 or something like that.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_01]: But they haven't done it very much.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like, but this league, guys don't stack winning seasons, it's like every other.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you're the chiefs or the patriots or the, you know, 49ers or some guys that are do it, and some of those, they can't get it done.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_01]: And Jacksonville is one of them.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_02]: Usually got a sour way, bro.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, we stack, we stack, we stack several seasons as the other damn way, man.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's very easy to stack losing seasons.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_03]: Very easy.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

- 1:10:05[SPEAKER_03]: Now's the time everybody, if you want to believe this year is going to be different, now is the week to do it because Sunday we're probably going to get kicked between the legs.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_03]: But that's okay, we'll do a preview show later in the week and everything is going to be a lot of fun.

- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_03]: We've got Quinsha on Juggins is going to be a top five back and this defense is going to be fricking sweet this year.
