- 0:03Speaker 1: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning. We practice gratitude on
- 0:08Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:10Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 0:12Speaker 2: past job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 0:18Speaker 1: two eight oho one ninety eight seven.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Kids, I also needed to win that day, all right.
- 0:23Speaker 4: First and foremost, Angie, this lady didn't say it's a
- 0:25Speaker 4: little victory, but I'm gonna say it's a little victory
- 0:27Speaker 4: for her. Crystal said she got a new flannel for
- 0:29Speaker 4: flannel Friday.
- 0:30Speaker 3: That's a little victory in and of itself. Right there.
- 0:32Speaker 5: We'll take it.
- 0:33Speaker 4: If that's not a little victory, the littlest of victories,
- 0:37Speaker 4: but also exciting and cool. I don't know what is exactly,
- 0:41Speaker 4: all right, Angie, what is your little victory today?
- 0:45Speaker 2: My little victory is that I did not this was
- 0:49Speaker 2: a real fear of mine. I did not forget to
- 0:53Speaker 2: bring in.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Your birthday gift. Oh that is.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Good, because I forget things like that all the time.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it all prepped and ready, and then I just
- 1:02Speaker 2: leave it on the counter. And I didn't do that
- 1:04Speaker 2: this morning, And I almost did, but then I remember
- 1:06Speaker 2: it so that's.
- 1:07Speaker 5: My little victory. It's very small, but I.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Was happy about it, and I'm very grateful.
- 1:12Speaker 4: And she got me a very sweet birthday gift today,
- 1:15Speaker 4: which is just filled with all of the tiny little things,
- 1:18Speaker 4: once again, little victories that I love. Their soup, there's
- 1:22Speaker 4: some Celsius energy drinks in there, and then there's some
- 1:25Speaker 4: snicker bars, which is kind of the only candy I
- 1:28Speaker 4: really am enjoy and joy. So thank you so much.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I appreciate that I.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Thought I want to give him just a few of
- 1:34Speaker 2: his favorite things.
- 1:36Speaker 4: That's right, Well, my little victory. You know it's gotta be.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I'm thirty five years old today. Come on, hey, we
- 1:45Speaker 4: made it this far. Not everyone gets to see thirty five.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Not to get all melodramatic here, so I do appreciate
- 1:50Speaker 4: making it this far, and so the fact that I
- 1:53Speaker 4: get to experience another birthday here on Big ninety eight
- 1:56Speaker 4: point seven might be a little victory, might be a
- 1:58Speaker 4: major victory. Either way, Today is a national holiday in
- 2:02Speaker 4: my head, and sadly, I don't think I'm joking when
- 2:04Speaker 4: I say that. I walk around today like I really
- 2:07Speaker 4: am more important than you, And I'm sorry, this is
- 2:10Speaker 4: what it is.
- 2:11Speaker 5: No I love it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I'm such a birthday person and I don't often meet
- 2:16Speaker 2: people who are so about their birthday.
- 2:18Speaker 5: So I love this energy.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I hype it up. You are thirty five and in
- 2:23Speaker 2: thrive and my friend, happy birthday.
- 2:25Speaker 4: If you have a little victory you want to share
- 2:27Speaker 4: with us today, let us know at seven oh one
- 2:29Speaker 4: two eight zero one eight seven. Well you might have
- 2:38Speaker 4: to go to work today. But you know the best
- 2:39Speaker 4: part about flannel Friday's angie?
- 2:42Speaker 3: What there?
- 2:43Speaker 4: There's got to be like a two percent rate of
- 2:46Speaker 4: workplaces that have meetings on Fridays. Oh yeah, meeting on
- 2:51Speaker 4: a Friday. We got we gotta look in the mirror
- 2:53Speaker 4: and reassert or what am I looking at?
- 2:55Speaker 6: The man?
- 2:55Speaker 3: Reassess ourselves. Thank you.
- 2:57Speaker 4: If you're someone who's in charge of making meetings, put
- 2:59Speaker 4: those on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Those are the
- 3:02Speaker 4: only acceptable days.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, on a Friday? What do you hate your employees?
- 3:07Speaker 3: That's right?
- 3:08Speaker 4: Well, it does turn out there is something to meetings
- 3:10Speaker 4: and how they can take up a ton of time,
- 3:13Speaker 4: but you might not know the real problem isn't necessarily
- 3:16Speaker 4: how many meetings that your workplace has, it's how badly
- 3:20Speaker 4: they can be designed. Research shows meetings can boost engagement
- 3:26Speaker 4: or they can cause burnout and virtual ones if you
- 3:30Speaker 4: work at a place where you're meeting on teams or
- 3:33Speaker 4: or Skype or whatever. These virtual ones can even widen
- 3:37Speaker 4: inequalities like women speaking up less the fix clear purpose,
- 3:43Speaker 4: better planning, and making sure everyone gets heard. So if
- 3:46Speaker 4: you're throwing a meeting and it's just kind of some
- 3:48Speaker 4: willy nilly thing, to be honest, it actually probably hurts
- 3:52Speaker 4: your company more than it helps.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Yeah, you need to be super prepared.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I feel like you have to filter it through the
- 3:57Speaker 2: lens of could this meeting be an email?
- 4:00Speaker 3: That's right?
- 4:01Speaker 4: And seven oh one two, eight zero one, nine eighty
- 4:04Speaker 4: seven do you want to let us know?
- 4:05Speaker 3: And you don't kind to.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Call anybody out, for the love of God, please don't
- 4:08Speaker 4: do that. But how many things do you have per week?
- 4:12Speaker 4: And we don't really have that many meetings. I would
- 4:15Speaker 4: say we have like quick discussions check ins here at
- 4:19Speaker 4: Big ninety eight point seven, just like, hey, we have
- 4:21Speaker 4: this going on this week, we have this this, I
- 4:22Speaker 4: wouldn't really call them like full bore meetings, right, And
- 4:26Speaker 4: we like our.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Boss, so like that's fine, And it always ends up
- 4:30Speaker 2: being a good time.
- 4:31Speaker 5: So not here.
- 4:32Speaker 2: But I had a previous workplace where we had one
- 4:37Speaker 2: meeting after all of the stations got done with their show,
- 4:40Speaker 2: one meeting a day, and it.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Was the worst.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I mean, every single person dreaded this meeting and it
- 4:48Speaker 2: was like, we're all just gonna get together and talk about,
- 4:51Speaker 2: you know, what we liked, what we didn't like, and
- 4:55Speaker 2: there was never any structure to it.
- 4:57Speaker 5: It was so meandering and.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Every day this meeting, not much has changed on Tuesday
- 5:03Speaker 2: from Monday, sir. I mean, it was the worst, and
- 5:07Speaker 2: I clearly don't work there anymore.
- 5:08Speaker 4: So and I will say meetings with people who like
- 5:13Speaker 4: work in radio. Right, if you've ever wondered what a
- 5:16Speaker 4: radio meeting or get together team get together is like,
- 5:20Speaker 4: it is either a ton of fun or they are
- 5:23Speaker 4: so long because every radio person is so guilty of
- 5:28Speaker 4: wanting to like get their joke in, you know, make
- 5:31Speaker 4: the group laugh.
- 5:32Speaker 3: We all do it.
- 5:33Speaker 4: And I feel attacked and sometimes you know, you can
- 5:37Speaker 4: just be like, oh gosh, what are we doing, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 4: with radio people meetings, And there's probably dentists who have
- 5:43Speaker 4: the same feeling. It's like, oh God, we're talking about
- 5:45Speaker 4: teeth again.
- 5:46Speaker 3: You know what.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'mre moller jokes from doctor Felderman Drew.
- 5:51Speaker 3: How many meetings do you have at your work?
- 5:52Speaker 6: Man? Oh my god, I have three meetings a day
- 5:56Speaker 6: and it's just out of control. The worst part is
- 5:58Speaker 6: that the time I spend in these meetings is a
- 6:00Speaker 6: total waste of time. It's mostly just me waiting for
- 6:03Speaker 6: five minutes to speak and then waiting for the meeting
- 6:06Speaker 6: to end.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah, three, he said, three a day a day. That's crazy.
- 6:10Speaker 3: That's a lot.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I'm sure.
- 6:12Speaker 3: How do you get anything done? Then?
- 6:15Speaker 5: He must one of the meetings is about meetings.
- 6:18Speaker 6: I can't.
- 6:18Speaker 4: He must have like twelve hour days or something. That's insane. Okay,
- 6:21Speaker 4: what about you, Claudia.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I averaged like five meetings a week, and I'm not
- 6:25Speaker 3: gonna lie.
- 6:26Speaker 6: I mute myself immediately and play solitaire on my phone.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Helpful Lily, in the sense that I've become amazing at
- 6:33Speaker 1: card games.
- 6:34Speaker 4: That sounds like Claudia. So she has teams, meetings or
- 6:37Speaker 4: whatever Skype.
- 6:38Speaker 2: You can't get away with that in an in person meeting.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Just whipping at your phone and playing solitaire.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Maam, You're fired.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Could you imagine you just hear me in the corner
- 6:46Speaker 4: like playing candy Cross all like it's like a gambling
- 6:48Speaker 4: casino thing when you win the jackpar.
- 6:54Speaker 3: This is am I the problem?
- 6:56Speaker 5: It's me.
- 7:01Speaker 3: We'll hear one side of the story and with your help.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 7:09Speaker 5: That's right, I am the problem.
- 7:11Speaker 3: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Hayley wrote in specifically.
- 7:17Speaker 5: To you, Gabe.
- 7:18Speaker 2: But all right, since it's a birthday thing, it makes sense.
- 7:22Speaker 2: She said, Hey, Gabe, so my birthday was this week too,
- 7:25Speaker 2: and I had dinner with my friends at Plaza Azteca.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Did I say what her name was?
- 7:31Speaker 3: Kaylee?
- 7:32Speaker 5: Yeah? Okay?
- 7:33Speaker 2: At Plaza as Teca, tacos and a margarita the size
- 7:37Speaker 2: of my.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Head for the win.
- 7:39Speaker 2: But one friend showed up an hour late, another one
- 7:42Speaker 2: forgot my gift at home, and a third kept talking
- 7:46Speaker 2: about her upcoming vacation like it was her special day.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I finally said, can we maybe focus on the birthday
- 7:53Speaker 2: girl here? And now they're all acting like I overreacted.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Maybe I said it a little harsh because because a
- 8:00Speaker 2: few margharita's in, But it was my birthday? Am I
- 8:04Speaker 2: the problem?
- 8:06Speaker 3: Wow?
- 8:07Speaker 5: Birthday boy? Let it rip? What do you think?
- 8:10Speaker 3: All right?
- 8:11Speaker 4: Right off the right off the bat, dump them thea goodbye.
- 8:16Speaker 4: There is one day of the year where you are
- 8:18Speaker 4: better than everyone else.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:20Speaker 4: There are three hundred and sixty four days a year
- 8:23Speaker 4: where you have to operate as a functioning, normal member
- 8:27Speaker 4: of society. There is one day, twenty four hours, eight
- 8:31Speaker 4: hundred and thirty one minutes.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I made that part up.
- 8:34Speaker 4: I don't know if that's true where you get to
- 8:37Speaker 4: celebrate you, okay, And there are a handful of people
- 8:40Speaker 4: who should understand that, and that should be your besties.
- 8:44Speaker 4: An hour late to my birthday get together, don't even come.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I don't want you to, okay.
- 8:49Speaker 4: If anything, you should have been there three minutes early
- 8:52Speaker 4: because you're so jacked to celebrate the fact that I exist.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Why do I feel like this has turned into my
- 8:57Speaker 4: email here? But anyway, Kaylee, of course you overreacted. It's
- 9:01Speaker 4: not that big a deal. But happy birthday, and I
- 9:03Speaker 4: hope you had a great time despite your friends maybe
- 9:06Speaker 4: not being as excited as you want.
- 9:08Speaker 3: That is part of growing up.
- 9:09Speaker 4: If you're old enough to drink a margarita at Plaza Azteca,
- 9:12Speaker 4: the size of your head, you should be old enough
- 9:14Speaker 4: to understand that while it's a fun day and it's
- 9:17Speaker 4: cool and you know, some people get into it with you,
- 9:20Speaker 4: it is really just a regular day to a lot
- 9:22Speaker 4: of other people.
- 9:23Speaker 3: So what do you think?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Seven oh one two, eight oh one nine eight seven.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I have some thoughts game, and usually you and I
- 9:30Speaker 2: are not on the same page.
- 9:32Speaker 5: We are now, but I need to take it a
- 9:35Speaker 5: step further when we come back.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I'll tell you right now. Angie is late to Uncle
- 9:40Speaker 4: Frank's tonight, so help me god.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Kaylee wrote into us and she asked if she's the problem,
- 9:51Speaker 2: because it was her birthday. She and her friends were
- 9:53Speaker 2: not for Margarita's, but one friend was an hour late,
- 9:56Speaker 2: the other one forgot the gift at home, and the
- 9:58Speaker 2: other one wouldn't stop yapping about her.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Own vacation as though it was her special day.
- 10:04Speaker 2: So Kaylie finally spoke up and said, hey, can we
- 10:07Speaker 2: focus on the birthday girl here? And they all thought
- 10:10Speaker 2: that she was over reacting and she wants to know
- 10:14Speaker 2: if she's the problem.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Colin, he wrote in and said, she is the problem.
- 10:21Speaker 3: It's not a big deal. Grow up. Harsh words from
- 10:23Speaker 3: Colin this morning.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Gorela, grow up that quite literally, what she is trying
- 10:32Speaker 2: to do grow up, that's what she's doing, and she
- 10:36Speaker 2: wants to celebrate that it is her birthday and to
- 10:40Speaker 2: act like, oh, it's just one day. Without that one day,
- 10:44Speaker 2: that person doesn't exist in your life.
- 10:48Speaker 5: If it wasn't for her birthday, her little friends wouldn't
- 10:52Speaker 5: have her at all.
- 10:54Speaker 2: This is the season, especially of being grateful. They should
- 10:58Speaker 2: be grateful that she's alive. They should be celebrating it
- 11:01Speaker 2: to the fullest. Gabe, it's your birthday today, That's right,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and I couldn't be happier. You are thirty five in
- 11:08Speaker 2: and thriving, and I'm all here for it. I'm never
- 11:13Speaker 2: gonna minimize somebody's birthday. Just agree way Literally, if you
- 11:18Speaker 2: didn't have the birthday, you don't exist. I don't understand
- 11:22Speaker 2: why people don't. What is the Justin Bieber saying, it's
- 11:25Speaker 2: not clocking to you.
- 11:27Speaker 5: It's not clocking to you.
- 11:29Speaker 2: That without the birthday, the person doesn't exist.
- 11:32Speaker 5: So no, Colin, you're wrong. I think maybe people didn't celebrate.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Your birthday growing up, But you know what hurt people
- 11:39Speaker 2: hurt people. So Colin, your birthday this year, I'm happy
- 11:43Speaker 2: to celebrate you and act like it's not just some
- 11:47Speaker 2: other day.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Man.
- 11:49Speaker 4: That was a powerful you know, I'd put that in
- 11:51Speaker 4: like a top three rants here, K point seven.
- 11:55Speaker 3: That was great. That's right.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Happy birthday to Kaylee this week. Invite us next year,
- 12:00Speaker 4: and you know what? I am thirty five and what'd
- 12:02Speaker 4: you say? Thirty five?
- 12:03Speaker 5: Thirty five and thriving.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Thirty five and the thriving tonight I will not be
- 12:07Speaker 4: driving because there's gonna be some push lights drink.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I think who is this?
- 12:14Speaker 7: Hey, it's Jordan, United States Marine Corps veteran. I call
- 12:18Speaker 7: it like a week or two ago.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Jordan. How you doing? We remember you?
- 12:21Speaker 7: Hey? Good? How are you? Bud? I wanted to call
- 12:24Speaker 7: you and say happy birthday?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Game?
- 12:26Speaker 3: Oh thank you man. I appreciate kind well, you.
- 12:29Speaker 7: Know, I mean, I listen to you every morning.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Well, Jordan, I'm curious, how are you gonna celebrate this
- 12:34Speaker 4: national holiday? Are you gonna enjoy some time at Frank's
- 12:38Speaker 4: lounge today at six?
- 12:39Speaker 3: That's when Angie and I will be there.
- 12:41Speaker 7: Well, unfortunately I can't make it. I have six kids
- 12:44Speaker 7: and the wife at home.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Okay, I think that's fine. I think we give Jordan
- 12:48Speaker 4: a pass. I do appreciate it though, Jordan, thank you. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 4: I'm looking forward to that. We're gonna have a good
- 12:52Speaker 4: time there.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, everybody wants to stop mine say happy.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Birthday to game.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Frank's lounge has no clue that we're going there. No,
- 13:00Speaker 3: like a real thing.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Angie and I are just going and my wife's gonna
- 13:02Speaker 4: go Nike, He's gonna go just hang out.
- 13:05Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, I can't stop you for showing
- 13:06Speaker 3: up there at six.
- 13:08Speaker 1: No, you know the thing that you're thinking about, but
- 13:13Speaker 1: you're too polite to say we got you. Are you
- 13:16Speaker 1: calling a coony queen dying on the hill of controversial opinion?
- 13:23Speaker 1: So you don't have toy? This is sorry, not sorry.
- 13:30Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 13:32Speaker 2: If you are posting on Instagram your Spotify wrapped or
- 13:39Speaker 2: your Apple Music replay so we can see what albums
- 13:43Speaker 2: you were obsessed with. What song did you play on
- 13:46Speaker 2: a loop? Let me tell you right now. I love it, love.
- 13:55Speaker 5: It, Yes, I think it's so great.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It bumms me out when people post, oh no, and
- 14:01Speaker 2: he cares what you listen to.
- 14:03Speaker 5: You're not better than anybody.
- 14:05Speaker 2: If you crap all over people posting their Spotify rapped.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Let people have their joy. And you know, what I
- 14:12Speaker 2: like about the Spotify rapped is that I get to
- 14:15Speaker 2: see what music tastes people have that I wouldn't expect,
- 14:21Speaker 2: Like there are people on my friends lists that it's like, oh,
- 14:23Speaker 2: my gosh, you were listening to the Spider Man Across
- 14:26Speaker 2: the Spider Verse album as much as I was. How interesting.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I think music is such a great way to connect.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I also think it's fascinating to see my parent friends
- 14:37Speaker 2: who had their Spotify rapped ruined because.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Their kids took over the playlist.
- 14:44Speaker 2: There are so many parents who have K Pop Demon
- 14:46Speaker 2: Hunters as their top album and you know it was
- 14:49Speaker 2: because of the children.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Oh you don't think Marissa was just rolling around and enjoying.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Some K pop us.
- 14:56Speaker 2: You know, let the only person I know who does
- 14:58Speaker 2: not have kids that we're listening to K Pop Demon
- 15:01Speaker 2: Hunters but it was their top was my sister who
- 15:03Speaker 2: was forty one years old. But and then I also
- 15:08Speaker 2: just like discovering new music.
- 15:09Speaker 3: That way.
- 15:10Speaker 2: You can see music that maybe you wouldn't normally listen to,
- 15:14Speaker 2: but if your friend is listening to it, maybe you'll
- 15:17Speaker 2: give it a shot. So I think it's awesome post
- 15:20Speaker 2: it who cares. Live your best life, stop yucking other
- 15:24Speaker 2: people's yum. And if you feel the need to say,
- 15:27Speaker 2: oh my gosh, who cares about Spotify wrapped? Tell your
- 15:30Speaker 2: friends behind their backs like a proper adult.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Chloe Kardashian revealed this weird, weird sleeping habit that definitely
- 15:45Speaker 4: is not great for you and or great for her.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I kind of have a weird sleeping habit too, but
- 15:49Speaker 4: it's nothing compared to this. Chloe Kardashian said she has
- 15:54Speaker 4: not slept with the lights off in years. She talked
- 15:58Speaker 4: about when her daughter was a baby, she experienced what
- 16:01Speaker 4: she believes was a ghostly encounter in her rental home.
- 16:05Speaker 4: She described hearing footsteps in the hallway at night, feeling
- 16:08Speaker 4: a small hand run through her hair real one, and
- 16:11Speaker 4: says she has not slept in the dark since. So
- 16:14Speaker 4: I did some googling. I did some Internet look in here.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Sleeping with the lights on is bad because it disrupts
- 16:22Speaker 4: your body's natural sleep wake cycle, or your certainin rhythm.
- 16:27Speaker 4: It suppresses melatonin production, making it harder to fall asleep
- 16:30Speaker 4: and stay asleep. The poor quality sleep can have negative
- 16:34Speaker 4: effects on both physical and mental health, such as increasing
- 16:37Speaker 4: the risk of heart disease, diabetes, weight gain, depression, all
- 16:40Speaker 4: the things that come with that. So I would recommend,
- 16:43Speaker 4: if you can power through, get yourself a nighty lady,
- 16:46Speaker 4: and turn the lights off when you go to sleep.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You know.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I also would hear things in the house and get
- 16:53Speaker 2: like scared. But my remedy to that is that I
- 16:56Speaker 2: have the bathroom fan on, Oh sure, to kind of
- 16:59Speaker 2: drought it out. So I can't fall asleep unless the
- 17:02Speaker 2: bathroom fan is on, because then I'm hearing every little thing,
- 17:05Speaker 2: thinking someone broke into the house.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that totally makes sense. Actually seven oh one
- 17:08Speaker 4: two eight zero one nine eight seven. Do you have
- 17:11Speaker 4: a strange sleeping habit? I will say I have so
- 17:16Speaker 4: many animals running around my house that my like, you know,
- 17:20Speaker 4: the the fear or whatever of someone breaking in. It's
- 17:23Speaker 4: just gone because I'm like, ah, just a cat. It's
- 17:27Speaker 4: just just it. I just don't even think about it anymore.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Jessica,
- 17:32Speaker 4: do you have a strange sleeping habit?
- 17:34Speaker 7: I talk in my sleep, but it's not like normal talking.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I give directions like full on GPS mode.
- 17:40Speaker 2: The other night I told my husband turn left in
- 17:43Speaker 2: three hundred feet and he just sat up in bed,
- 17:45Speaker 2: like where.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Well.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Interesting, I wonder what it's like for Jessica's husband to
- 17:51Speaker 4: ride with her in the car. Do you think he
- 17:52Speaker 4: doesn't know there's that stop sign four hundred yards in front.
- 17:55Speaker 4: I'm just kidding, Jessica, thank you for the phone call.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I kind of have a weird sleeping habit. It's but
- 18:00Speaker 4: I do think a lot of people do it, so
- 18:02Speaker 4: I don't know if it's that weird. But I have
- 18:03Speaker 4: been falling asleep to an audio book since I was
- 18:07Speaker 4: in like fourth grade. I had the Harry Potter tapes
- 18:11Speaker 4: and I would listen to them and fall asleep. I
- 18:15Speaker 4: think his name is Jim Doyle, Ok, the guy who
- 18:18Speaker 4: reads those books. And for whatever reason, it would maybe
- 18:22Speaker 4: shut my brain off a little bit, which is always
- 18:24Speaker 4: going on thousand miles an hour, and they would really
- 18:26Speaker 4: help me sleep. So if you are someone who you
- 18:28Speaker 4: just can't settle your brain down at night, so I
- 18:31Speaker 4: listening to a book, and it really helps if it's
- 18:33Speaker 4: one you've listened to already, because then you're not getting excited.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Really, that's why I.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Don't listen, because I did know that you listened to
- 18:41Speaker 2: books to fall asleep.
- 18:42Speaker 5: It is crazy to me that you've been doing that
- 18:44Speaker 5: since fourth grade.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Ever, Yeah, my buddy was dyslexic, and he got the
- 18:49Speaker 4: Harry Potter tapes. I wanted to read the books and
- 18:52Speaker 4: whatever whatever, and when he was done, he'd always just
- 18:54Speaker 4: let me borrow them, so then I would read them
- 18:57Speaker 4: and then I could kind of rehear someone tell me
- 18:59Speaker 4: the story. And then yeah, I just I found out
- 19:01Speaker 4: they really helped me go to sleep back in elementary school.
- 19:03Speaker 4: And I've been doing it, I mean almost for how
- 19:06Speaker 4: I thirty five today, I've been doing it for almost
- 19:08Speaker 4: twenty nine years probably that is maybe not twenty nine,
- 19:11Speaker 4: maybe twenty five or so.
- 19:12Speaker 2: That is so sweet and wholesome. And I don't know,
- 19:16Speaker 2: this tidbit of information makes me look at you like
- 19:19Speaker 2: what a little child?
- 19:21Speaker 3: Ryan. Do you have a different sleeping habit?
- 19:24Speaker 6: I have to sleep with socks on, and for some reason,
- 19:26Speaker 6: everyone I know thinks it's weird. I don't get it.
- 19:29Speaker 7: And like having a warm feet is like the best
- 19:32Speaker 7: feeling company.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Sleep with cold feet, Ryan, And you got two eye
- 19:37Speaker 3: rolls in the studio.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Got there's a blanket for that exact Why are you
- 19:41Speaker 2: wearing socks to bit you know, let me not be
- 19:44Speaker 2: a judgy Judgerson.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I am.
- 19:47Speaker 4: You know what they say you can't trust a guy
- 19:49Speaker 4: who falls asleep with his socks on.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Do they say that they do?
- 19:53Speaker 1: Now, you know, very starting off the with something good.
- 20:01Speaker 1: This is Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 20:06Speaker 5: Now I've got to hijack this, Gabe.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Okay, not to beat a dead horse, because we've been
- 20:12Speaker 2: celebrating all morning, but this.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Is the only day to do it.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Today is the day of your birth, Gabe Gleiden.
- 20:21Speaker 5: That is extra good news.
- 20:23Speaker 2: We could not do this show without you, so big
- 20:27Speaker 2: shout out to your mom and dad for making the
- 20:30Speaker 2: magic happen. I want to say in March, so that
- 20:33Speaker 2: you could be born.
- 20:35Speaker 5: On this day and.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Be right here with me on the Big ninety eight
- 20:40Speaker 2: point seven Morning Show. Obviously I had to get you
- 20:43Speaker 2: a gift, just a few of Gabe Gleidon's favorite things.
- 20:46Speaker 2: And then there's a card to go with it. If
- 20:49Speaker 2: maybe you want to read the car.
- 20:50Speaker 4: All right, I can do that. Yes, inside this gift
- 20:53Speaker 4: and very sweet. She got me my three favorite things.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Some soup, yes, some Snickers, which is like the only
- 20:59Speaker 4: candy I really will eat, and then some Celsius energy
- 21:03Speaker 4: drinks which I drink probably too many, but but that was.
- 21:06Speaker 5: Actually a little bit selfish. You know, we need energy,
- 21:08Speaker 5: and that's right.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I agree.
- 21:09Speaker 4: I really do greatly appreciate all Right, Angie got me
- 21:12Speaker 4: a card.
- 21:12Speaker 3: It says and this. She did this herself, right.
- 21:15Speaker 5: She didn't just want what's the homemade card?
- 21:16Speaker 3: Yeah, card it.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Says truck community, bike community, vest community, soup community, flannel community.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Man.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I got a lot of communities on my plate here
- 21:27Speaker 4: and today birthday community, Thirnie five. I hardly know her.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Happy birthday goats. Well, thank you very much, Angie. I
- 21:36Speaker 4: appreciate it. That's wonderful news. That's great news. But there's
- 21:38Speaker 4: some bad news today. What Gabe's good news. That part
- 21:42Speaker 4: was the good part. Here's the bad part coming up
- 21:44Speaker 4: on July third. I really need you to lower your
- 21:46Speaker 4: expectations because I will not be as good at this
- 21:48Speaker 4: as you are. Happy December fifth to you. The world
- 21:52Speaker 4: is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 21:54Speaker 4: you gotta be one.
