- 0:15Speaker 1: Korea is going to going to South Korea? Yeah? Where
- 0:19Speaker 1: are you?
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm in the Delta Sky Lounge right now and the
- 0:24Speaker 2: bar doesn't open until eight What the hell?
- 0:27Speaker 3: What? I thought they were open all the time.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Then we have that bartender friend who calls the show.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I don't know if he works with the Delta Lounge.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Well, I don't know, I may not. So you're heading
- 0:41Speaker 1: to South Korea? And what time do you have to board?
- 0:45Speaker 2: We're going to board here about about an hour.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Do you still have time to wait till eight o'clock
- 0:51Speaker 1: and pre drink?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I wish no, No, that's just.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Terribly Are you missing us? Already worn by?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Soon? They mixed drinks?
- 1:01Speaker 1: No mixed drinks.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I want you sober when we get off the plane.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I don't want to repeat of Hotelulu.
- 1:09Speaker 1: That's right, Yeah, the sugary drinks. That's no good. Well
- 1:15Speaker 1: that's not And so is everything going smoothly? So?
- 1:18Speaker 2: Far surprisingly smoothly. You know, there are several friends of
- 1:23Speaker 2: the programs that are traveling today and they're working here
- 1:26Speaker 2: at the airport. As a matter of fact, I've gotten
- 1:30Speaker 2: waved at and talked to several times now. So yeah, again,
- 1:34Speaker 2: no mixed drinks.
- 1:36Speaker 1: When I went to When I went to Chicago, I
- 1:38Speaker 1: got padded down by a friend of the program. That
- 1:40Speaker 1: was fun, fun for him.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Well I think he just did that because he wanted
- 1:44Speaker 2: I think maybe.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So it's it's it's you know, that airport is really
- 1:49Speaker 1: very nice.
- 1:50Speaker 3: We're lucky to have that airport. We really are.
- 1:53Speaker 2: It's a terrific airport. But here, here's the thing. So
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'm in the I'm in the Delta lounge, right Is
- 2:00Speaker 2: it supposed to be for you know, special frequent flyer
- 2:05Speaker 2: you know, yeah, all that stuff. Everybody has a credit
- 2:09Speaker 2: card and everybody now has flight miles, the sky miles.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:14Speaker 2: So this place is as crowded as anywhere in the
- 2:18Speaker 2: airport right now.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Yeah, it used to be that was the place you
- 2:21Speaker 5: could go to where it wasn't as crowded.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Is it still? Is it still like up those stairs
- 2:27Speaker 1: and I forget what they used to call that.
- 2:29Speaker 3: No it's a new it's a new area. I mean
- 2:32Speaker 3: the whole.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It's right down here on the main level. It's a
- 2:36Speaker 2: it's kind of a kitty corner from the roosters.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Do you know why I like.
- 2:40Speaker 3: The Delta sky Lounge. They got better soap in the bathroom.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Okay, it's always something, isn't it better? It's always something.
- 2:49Speaker 3: It's it is good smelling, grown grown Alchemy is the brand.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Carry Go wash your hands. You'll thank me.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Oh I did. It's good soap, right, it smells lovely.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Always something I had to because I had a boiled
- 3:04Speaker 2: egg and ate it with my hands.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You know, you don't want to get on the plane
- 3:09Speaker 1: with the egg stink egg Man's eggs sitting next to
- 3:16Speaker 1: somebody who says boiled eggs. Huh.
- 3:19Speaker 5: So, do you have a bunch of shows keyed up
- 3:22Speaker 5: to watch?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Like a you're gonna binge something? What's your what's your
- 3:26Speaker 3: viewing plan?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Well, we fly to we fly to Seattle, so I'll
- 3:31Speaker 2: just probably rely on the in flight entertainment for that stretch,
- 3:37Speaker 2: And yeah, I was hoping it works. And then from
- 3:40Speaker 2: there we go to uh we're flying two Soul and
- 3:45Speaker 2: then to Tokyo. But I've let my comic books stack
- 3:49Speaker 2: up on my on my Marble app. So I'm just
- 3:53Speaker 2: gonna catch up on the Ultimate Reeds and Daredevil. I'll
- 3:59Speaker 2: just let them stack up. I'll do that and try
- 4:01Speaker 2: to sleep on a plane, which I've never been able
- 4:03Speaker 2: to do.
- 4:04Speaker 3: How long of a flight from Seattle to Seoul.
- 4:07Speaker 2: That's an excellent question, one that I don't want an
- 4:10Speaker 2: answer to, because if you think about it, then it
- 4:13Speaker 2: will be.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Painful, blissfully I can. I can sleep on a plane
- 4:19Speaker 1: if I'm in business or first class and really drunk.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Carrie's not allowed to have mixed drinks from.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Other kinds of drinks.
- 4:28Speaker 2: That's a lot of shardina. That's a lot of We're
- 4:32Speaker 2: in like something called comfort plus, I think is what
- 4:34Speaker 2: it is.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you know Delta, I had.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Long as like I said, as long as as long
- 4:39Speaker 2: as the Wi Fi works, Yeah, and I'm near a bathroom,
- 4:43Speaker 2: everything will be fine, and they keep wringing me everything
- 4:46Speaker 2: will be fine. I like.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I like Delta. And this last flight I took on
- 4:51Speaker 1: leaving Chicago, the flight was delayed for some reason. We
- 4:54Speaker 1: were half an hour late or something before they took off.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And then when so when the when the the when
- 5:01Speaker 1: the stewardess, no, when the flight attendant came down with
- 5:05Speaker 1: the drink cart, I said, well, I think i'd liked
- 5:08Speaker 1: to two bottles of Woodford Reserve and a glass of ice, please,
- 5:12Speaker 1: And he said, okay, thank you, and I gave him
- 5:15Speaker 1: handed in my credit card and he looked at it
- 5:18Speaker 1: and handed it back and said, it's your birthday to day.
- 5:21Speaker 1: And I thought, what what my my Birthday's not on
- 5:24Speaker 1: my credit card? What do you how do you know
- 5:26Speaker 1: what is being nice? He said, it's your birthday today
- 5:29Speaker 1: and I, oh, oh, thank you, and I think he did.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I think he was doing that for to everybody because
- 5:37Speaker 1: the flight was delayed to happen. Now that's good, that's
- 5:41Speaker 1: good Delta policy.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I think you guys always fly Delta, try to Yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 4: not always, no, just uh we we have been more
- 5:50Speaker 4: so lately, but you know, we'll fly and I'm gonna.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Fly Korean Air when we get there too, you know,
- 5:57Speaker 2: back and forth, toyo.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Now is that that's that's probably because it's a state
- 6:03Speaker 1: run I'm sure it's a state run airline. And when
- 6:07Speaker 1: you when you you know, they take care of it,
- 6:09Speaker 1: they keep it up.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Now, you remember last time I flew, we flew a
- 6:14Speaker 2: n A, which is an Asian airline, and that was
- 6:18Speaker 2: the best I've ever flown. Sadly we're not flying any.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I've said the best flight I ever was on
- 6:27Speaker 1: was a Qatari Qatar are when you went to Tibet, Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 1: really Yeah, when I went to Nepal. It was from
- 6:34Speaker 1: I think it was from Houston. Went from Houston to
- 6:37Speaker 1: Qatar on Qatar Air and I was in I was
- 6:41Speaker 1: in economy class, but there was plenty of room, a
- 6:45Speaker 1: great medal service, very attentive, clean, huge. It was a
- 6:51Speaker 1: huge plane that.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Was like that was like a NA and we had
- 6:55Speaker 2: we had metal utensils for our meal and our meal
- 6:58Speaker 2: was good.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, I just.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Got texted it's ten hours from Seattle to you.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Didn't want to know.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I didn't want to know.
- 7:09Speaker 4: See that's when you have Lord of the Rings and
- 7:11Speaker 4: you just have all three of them.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's good.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd be all for it. Lord of the Rings,
- 7:15Speaker 3: the Hobbit, Harry Potter, those are all you need.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Well, you could do exactly have a safely and I'm
- 7:23Speaker 1: trying to have a good time.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Carrie's going to be checking in with this periodically. Yes,
- 7:28Speaker 5: and it'll be good because it'll be nighttime there, so.
- 7:31Speaker 3: So he will be having front Harry on there.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, in Seoul, it's the Soju capital of the world.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna be, you know, by the time you speak
- 7:41Speaker 2: to me, I will be. I nearly said a bad word.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I will be snockered.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You you said you were going to say s faced,
- 7:49Speaker 1: weren't you? Yes, I will? You know you can I
- 7:53Speaker 1: just say faced.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I'm going to get faced. He's faced. Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 2: The only hard part of this trip was finding somebody
- 8:03Speaker 2: to stay at my house the whole time, and we
- 8:05Speaker 2: luckily we got that taken care of. Although still Hudson
- 8:09Speaker 2: knew as soon as the suitcases appeared. Hudson news, Oh.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah, did he try calling in the suitcase?
- 8:17Speaker 2: He was trying. He was freaking out. Well, look, Carrie,
- 8:22Speaker 2: I kind of feel sorry for the person staying at
- 8:24Speaker 2: my house. No bundle of nerves.
- 8:26Speaker 1: For days, Carrie, trying to have a good time. I will.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You're so. People might be curious why you're going to
- 8:34Speaker 1: South Korea. Part of it is family obligations and that
- 8:37Speaker 1: sort of thing. But you like South Korea. I've heard
- 8:40Speaker 1: you say you like it quite a bit, Oh I do?
- 8:43Speaker 1: I do?
- 8:43Speaker 2: I like Tokyo and South Korea a lot. Yeah, we're
- 8:46Speaker 2: going to South Korea because Sue's oldest brother lives there. Yeah,
- 8:52Speaker 2: still was stayed there, and so we're gonna go and
- 8:54Speaker 2: see him. And then we're bringing the rest of the
- 8:56Speaker 2: family with us. We're all meeting and sould so it's
- 8:59Speaker 2: like a big family unit for them, and I'll be
- 9:02Speaker 2: the lone white guy standing around looking awkward.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I wish I.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Wish the meme from Pulpit.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I wish I wish I could be a fly on
- 9:11Speaker 1: the wall and just see what some of that just.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I'm just.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'll give you. I'll give you play by play when
- 9:18Speaker 2: I get back.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Okay, all right, please please be careful though.
- 9:23Speaker 2: All Right, I'm gonna go have a bowl of cereal
- 9:25Speaker 2: before the plane.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Okay, that's a great substitute for booze later
