Mega Edition: Tova Noel And Her Place In The Epstein Scandal (8/25/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. The Congressional Oversight Committee is going to be
0:08
Speaker 1: speaking with Tauven o Weel, who was one of the
0:11
Speaker 1: guards who was tasked with watching Jeffrey Epstein on the
0:15
Speaker 1: night that he died. And according to Tauvin Noel and
0:18
Speaker 1: the OIG, she just fell asleep that night and everything
0:22
Speaker 1: that happened was just the perfect storm of coincidences. But
0:26
Speaker 1: when you start digging a little bit deeper and you
0:28
Speaker 1: start peeling back the layers, that narrative begins to unravel.
0:33
Speaker 1: Because Jeffrey Epstein's death at the Metropolitan Correctional Center has
0:37
Speaker 1: always rested on a foundation that asked the public to
0:40
Speaker 1: accept two things at once, that the official medical conclusion
0:44
Speaker 1: was suicide, and that nearly every institutional safeguard surrounding him
0:48
Speaker 1: felt in a way so convenient, so catastrophic, and so
0:51
Speaker 1: poorly explained that suspicion became inevitable. And Tauvin Noel sits
0:57
Speaker 1: directly inside that contradiction because he was one of the
1:00
Speaker 1: officers assigned to the Special Housing Unit during the critical
1:04
Speaker 1: overnight period when Epstein was supposed to be monitored, checked counted,
1:08
Speaker 1: protected and accounted for. Her account matters because she was
1:13
Speaker 1: not some distant bureaucrat reading a memo after the fact,
1:17
Speaker 1: but one of the people physically present in the area
1:20
Speaker 1: where Epstein was housed during his final hours. Her narrative
1:23
Speaker 1: also matters because she has been described as likely the
1:27
Speaker 1: last person to see Epstein alive before he was found
1:29
Speaker 1: dead in his cell the next morning. That means every gap,
1:34
Speaker 1: every contradiction, every I don't remember, and every detail she
1:37
Speaker 1: cannot explain becomes part of the evidentiary weather system surrounding
1:42
Speaker 1: one of the most consequential custodial deaths in American history.
1:47
Speaker 1: The problem is not simply that Noel gave an imperfect interview,
1:51
Speaker 1: because imperfect memory is expected in stressful cases. The problem
1:56
Speaker 1: is that her interview with investigators reads like a slow
1:59
Speaker 1: collapse of institutional credibility, where the person who should have
2:02
Speaker 1: had clear answers instead gave answers that repeatedly drifted into uncertainty, denial, contradiction,
2:10
Speaker 1: and convenient fog. When an officer on duty during the
2:14
Speaker 1: death of the most infamous federal detainee in America cannot
2:17
Speaker 1: clearly explain basic records movements, rounds, signatures, internet searches, Linen's
2:23
Speaker 1: and what she knew about Epstein's status. The public is
2:26
Speaker 1: not being irrational for refusing to swallow the narrative whole.
2:30
Speaker 1: The issue is not whether every suspicion is automatically true,
2:34
Speaker 1: but whether the official story has earned the level of
2:36
Speaker 1: confidence officials have demanded from the public. Noel's scheduled appearance
2:42
Speaker 1: before the House Oversight Committee today matters because it puts
2:45
Speaker 1: one of the weakest links in that chain back under pressure,
2:49
Speaker 1: this time before lawmakers who are asking questions that should
2:52
Speaker 1: have been exhausted years ago. At the center of the
2:55
Speaker 1: Noel problem is the basic reality that Epstein was not
2:58
Speaker 1: supposed to be treated like just another inmate left alone
3:01
Speaker 1: in a forgotten cell block. He was a globally notorious
3:05
Speaker 1: defendant awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving miners,
3:09
Speaker 1: with connections to powerful people, a prior a parent suicide
3:13
Speaker 1: attempt or injury event weeks earlier, and a custodial status
3:18
Speaker 1: that should have triggered heightened seriousness at every level. Instead,
3:22
Speaker 1: according to the Justice Department Inspector General's findings, Epstein was
3:26
Speaker 1: left alone after his cell mate was removed despite a
3:29
Speaker 1: Psychology department directive that he had a cell mate. That
3:33
Speaker 1: single failure would be damning enough on its own because
3:36
Speaker 1: it stripped away one of the most basic safeguards around
3:39
Speaker 1: a detainee whose mental state had already raised alarms. But
3:43
Speaker 1: it didn't happen in isolation because the same night also
3:47
Speaker 1: involved failures to perform required counts, failures to conduct required rounds,
3:52
Speaker 1: failures to maintain accurate records, and failure to preserve the
3:56
Speaker 1: kind of surveillance confidence the public would expect in a
4:00
Speaker 1: case this explosive. Noell's narrative has to be understood against
4:04
Speaker 1: a larger operational disaster because her story does not merely
4:08
Speaker 1: sit beside the institutional breakdown, it runs through the heart
4:12
Speaker 1: of it. She was not being asked to explain abstract policy,
4:16
Speaker 1: but her own conduct during the narrow window when Epstein
4:19
Speaker 1: was unmonitored in the special housing unit. She wasn't being
4:23
Speaker 1: asked to solve the mystery from across town, but to
4:26
Speaker 1: account for the basic duties attached to her post. She
4:30
Speaker 1: was not being asked to a member a random Tuesday
4:33
Speaker 1: from an ordinary shift, but the night the most closely
4:36
Speaker 1: watched prisoner in America died in federal custody, and the
4:41
Speaker 1: more she answered with uncertainty, the more the official structure
4:44
Speaker 1: around the death looks less like a clean finding and
4:47
Speaker 1: more like a damaged machine asking to be trusted anyway.
4:52
Speaker 1: That's why her interview became so important, and that's why
4:55
Speaker 1: her testimony now has the potential to reopen questions that
4:59
Speaker 1: were never try truly settled in the public mind. The
5:03
Speaker 1: OIG's findings about the required rounds and counts are devastating
5:07
Speaker 1: because they are not built on vague suspicion, but on
5:09
Speaker 1: basic institutional obligations that were supposed to happen and did not.
5:14
Speaker 1: Correctional staff assigned to the Shoe were required to conduct
5:17
Speaker 1: regular inmate counts and thirty minute rounds, and those rounds
5:21
Speaker 1: were supposed to confirm that inmates were alive, present, secured,
5:25
Speaker 1: and safe. And these aren't decorative exercises because in a
5:29
Speaker 1: high security environment, the counts the backbone of control. When
5:33
Speaker 1: a prison loses the integrity of its count, it loses
5:36
Speaker 1: the integrity of its claim that it knows what's happening
5:39
Speaker 1: inside its walls. According to the OIG, Noel and Michael
5:43
Speaker 1: Thomas admitted that they did not conduct the twelve am,
5:46
Speaker 1: three am and five am counts on August tenth, yet
5:50
Speaker 1: count slips were still completed and signed. It's not a
5:53
Speaker 1: technical glitch or a clerical misunderstanding. What it is is
5:58
Speaker 1: the creation of a false official regny in the precise
6:01
Speaker 1: window when Epstein was dying were already dead. The OIG
6:07
Speaker 1: also found that no officer entered Epstein's tier after about
6:10
Speaker 1: ten forty pm until just before six thirty am, when
6:14
Speaker 1: breakfast was being delivered. That means that Epstein was effectively
6:18
Speaker 1: left unseen for hours, while records claimed the opposite. Noell's
6:22
Speaker 1: narrative becomes difficult to believe because it asked the public
6:25
Speaker 1: to accept that the paper trail looked orderly while the
6:29
Speaker 1: underlying reality was negligence bordering on institutional abandonment. In any
6:35
Speaker 1: serious custody case, that discrepancy would be a major scandal.
6:39
Speaker 1: In the Epstein case, it becomes the center of the storm.
6:44
Speaker 1: Noell's interview with the OIG was such a mess because
6:47
Speaker 1: it repeatedly exposed the gap between documented facts and her
6:51
Speaker 1: willingness for ability to give clean explanations when confronted with
6:55
Speaker 1: count slips, signatures, and whether she had actually performed particular account.
7:00
Speaker 1: Her answers repeatedly fell into the swamp of I don't
7:03
Speaker 1: recall and I don't remember. Those phrases are not automatically
7:07
Speaker 1: proof of deception, but in context they become deeply corrosive.
7:12
Speaker 1: A witness can forget peripheral details, but when the forgotten
7:16
Speaker 1: details are the core duties at issue, the credibility problem
7:20
Speaker 1: becomes unavoidable. The wall wasn't being asked whether she saw
7:24
Speaker 1: a stranger in a hallway six months earlier. She was
7:27
Speaker 1: being asked about official records bearing her name during the
7:30
Speaker 1: most scrutinized jail death in America. When she acknowledged the
7:34
Speaker 1: signature looked like hers but could not clearly recall the
7:37
Speaker 1: count itself, the interview stops sounding like reconstruction of events
7:41
Speaker 1: and started sounding like damage containment. The more investigators pushed
7:46
Speaker 1: into the mechanics of the forms, the more the answers
7:49
Speaker 1: seem to wobble. And I think that matters because the
7:52
Speaker 1: falsified paperwork isn't a side issue. It's the artificial record
7:56
Speaker 1: that helped conceal the fact that Epstein was not being
7:59
Speaker 1: properly mom If the documents were false, then the people
8:04
Speaker 1: who signed them owed the investigators exacting clarity about how
8:08
Speaker 1: and why they became false. Noell's inability to provide that
8:11
Speaker 1: clarity is one reason her narrative remained so difficult to accept,
8:17
Speaker 1: and for me, the most unbelievable feature of Noel's broader
8:20
Speaker 1: story is how much of it depends on compartmentalized ignorance.
8:25
Speaker 1: She maintained that she didn't know that Epstein was required
8:27
Speaker 1: to have a cell mate, even though the cell mate
8:29
Speaker 1: issue was one of the most important safeguards around them
8:33
Speaker 1: after his removal from Suicide Watch. In psychological observation, she
8:37
Speaker 1: said that she saw Epstein alone in his cell, yet
8:40
Speaker 1: her narrative asked the public to believe that this fact
8:42
Speaker 1: did not register as an emergency, a violation, or even
8:46
Speaker 1: a serious concern. She described seeing him on a mattress
8:50
Speaker 1: on the floor, plugging in his medical device, and being
8:54
Speaker 1: close enough to the cell to know his routines, yet
8:57
Speaker 1: somehow not knowing the conditions that governed his house. That
9:01
Speaker 1: may be possible in that narrowest technical sense, but possibility
9:05
Speaker 1: is not the same as credibility, And the shoe was
9:08
Speaker 1: not a chaotic shopping mall where responsibilities were scattered beyond recognition.
9:13
Speaker 1: It was a controlled detention unit with rules, logs, orders,
9:17
Speaker 1: and supervisors. Epstein wasn't an anonymous and everyone in the
9:22
Speaker 1: facility knew his presence was sensitive. If Noel truly did
9:26
Speaker 1: not know about the cellmate requirement, that raises a different
9:30
Speaker 1: institutional failure. Communication inside MCC was so broken that frontline
9:36
Speaker 1: staff did not know the most important safety condition attached
9:39
Speaker 1: to the highest profile detainee in the building. If she
9:42
Speaker 1: did know, then her answer becomes much worse. Either way,
9:47
Speaker 1: the story lands badly because both interpretations point towards a
9:51
Speaker 1: catastrophic breakdown, and the internet search issue makes Noel's narrative
9:56
Speaker 1: even harder to digest because it adds as strange most
10:00
Speaker 1: cinematic detail to an already unbelievable night. Recently discussed records
10:05
Speaker 1: show that Noel made searches for latest on Epstein in
10:08
Speaker 1: jail at five forty two am and again at five
10:12
Speaker 1: fifty two am, less than an hour before Epstein was
10:15
Speaker 1: found dead. Standing alone in Internet search does not prove
10:19
Speaker 1: sinister intent, because a guard assigned to a notorious inmate
10:23
Speaker 1: might plausibly look up news about him out of curiosity.
10:27
Speaker 1: But the timing is the problem, and the timing is brutal.
10:31
Speaker 1: This wasn't a casual search days earlier during public chatter
10:35
Speaker 1: about the Epstein case. This was shortly before the discovery
10:39
Speaker 1: of his body during his shift, when required checks had
10:42
Speaker 1: not been performed. Noel reportedly told investigators she did not
10:46
Speaker 1: remember searching the Internet for Epstein, while allowing that she
10:50
Speaker 1: may have read an article. That kind of answer does
10:53
Speaker 1: not close the issue. It opens it wider. If she
10:57
Speaker 1: searched because she was curious, then say that clearly and
11:00
Speaker 1: explain why. If she searched because something had already gone
11:03
Speaker 1: wrong or seem wrong, then that is a much bigger matter.
11:08
Speaker 1: If she can't remember, then the public is left with
11:10
Speaker 1: another hole in a story already defined by holes. The
11:15
Speaker 1: alleged cash deposits tied to Noel's bank records, or another
11:18
Speaker 1: reason lawmakers are circling back to her, even though investigators
11:22
Speaker 1: are reportedly found no evidence of a bribe. Public reporting
11:26
Speaker 1: has highlighted cash deposits totaling around twelve thousand dollars between
11:31
Speaker 1: April twenty eighteen and July twenty nineteen, with a final
11:36
Speaker 1: deposit before Epstein's death. The existence of cash deposits does
11:40
Speaker 1: not automatically prove corruption, and it would be reckless to
11:43
Speaker 1: pretend it does. People may cash deposits for all kinds
11:46
Speaker 1: of reasons and suspicion. A loan is not evidence of bribery.
11:50
Speaker 1: But the reason this detail keeps surfacing is because of
11:53
Speaker 1: the surrounding context. A notorious detainee dies required, rounds are
11:58
Speaker 1: not done, words are falsified, searches are made shortly before discovery,
12:03
Speaker 1: and then financial activity becomes part of the public record.
12:08
Speaker 1: In a normal case, investigators might be able to dispose
12:11
Speaker 1: of that issue quickly with bank records, testimony, and corroboration.
12:16
Speaker 1: In the Epstein case, the public's patience for unexplained coincidence
12:20
Speaker 1: has been exhausted. If the FBI examined the records and
12:24
Speaker 1: found no evidence of bribery, no Weell should be able
12:26
Speaker 1: to explain and answer plainly about the source and purpose
12:30
Speaker 1: of the deposits. If she cannot, or if the explanations
12:34
Speaker 1: are vague, then the issue will remain another unresolved pressure
12:38
Speaker 1: point in the public narrative. Oversight does not require assuming guilt.
12:43
Speaker 1: It requires refusing to let unexplained facts evaporate because they're inconvenient.
12:49
Speaker 1: All right, folks, we're gonna wrap up episode one right here,
12:51
Speaker 1: and in the next episode, we're gonna pick up where
12:53
Speaker 1: we left off. All the information that goes with this
12:56
Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box. What's a Everyone,
13:00
Speaker 1: and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In
13:04
Speaker 1: this episode, we're going to pick up where he left
13:06
Speaker 1: off talking about Tovin Oel. Noel's account of the morning
13:11
Speaker 1: discovery is also deeply unsatisfying because it places her near
13:16
Speaker 1: the event while limiting her participation in ways that leave
13:19
Speaker 1: obvious questions unanswered. According to the OIG summary, she said
13:25
Speaker 1: she unlocked the elterier door and stood by while Thomas
13:28
Speaker 1: took food to the inmates. She said Thomas knocked on
13:31
Speaker 1: Epstein's door, received no response, open the lock, cell, call
13:35
Speaker 1: for a cutter, and then apparently rip something before dragging
13:38
Speaker 1: Epstein down and beginning chest compressions. Noel said that she
13:42
Speaker 1: stood near the door, did not enter the cell, did
13:45
Speaker 1: not retrieve the cutter because Thomas no longer needed it,
13:48
Speaker 1: and saw Epstein blue and shirtless with nothing around his neck.
13:53
Speaker 1: That sequence is possible, but it's also strange because it
13:57
Speaker 1: means one of the two assigned officers remained almost perfer
14:00
Speaker 1: during the most important emergency of her career. She described
14:04
Speaker 1: hearing Thomas say, breathe, Epstein breathe, and we're going to
14:08
Speaker 1: be in so much trouble, a phrase that does not
14:11
Speaker 1: sound like a clinical emergency response so much as the
14:14
Speaker 1: immediate recognition of catastrophic professional failure. She also said that
14:20
Speaker 1: Thomas told a responding lieutenant, Oh, it's not her fault,
14:23
Speaker 1: we fucked up, which again frames the moment less around
14:26
Speaker 1: Epstein's life and more around the guard's exposure. Those statements
14:30
Speaker 1: matter because they sound like people who knew instantly that
14:33
Speaker 1: the official logs would not match what it actually happened.
14:37
Speaker 1: The public does not need to invent a conspiracy to
14:40
Speaker 1: find that disturbing. That negligence alone is staggering. Noel's claimed
14:46
Speaker 1: that no one entered or exited Epstein's cell overnight has
14:49
Speaker 1: always existed, intention with the broader surveillance questions and public
14:53
Speaker 1: doubts about what the cameras did and did not show.
14:57
Speaker 1: The OIG concluded that after approximately ten p no officer
15:02
Speaker 1: entered Epstein's tier until breakfast was delivered just before six
15:06
Speaker 1: thirty am. That finding, if accepted supports the official conclusion
15:11
Speaker 1: that no outsider entered the tier during the relevant period,
15:15
Speaker 1: but the camera situation itself was a scandal because the
15:18
Speaker 1: facility surveillance system was plagued by failure, and not all
15:22
Speaker 1: the footage that the public would expect to exist was
15:25
Speaker 1: available in clean, complete confidence building form. In a normal
15:30
Speaker 1: institutional death, reliable video can close down speculation, and Epstein's death,
15:36
Speaker 1: the video problems did the opposite. They became part of
15:39
Speaker 1: the reason people felt the official explanation was being delivered
15:43
Speaker 1: through a crack lens. Noel's statements therefore carry more weight
15:48
Speaker 1: than they otherwise would, because the public record lacks the
15:51
Speaker 1: kind of comprehensive visual evidence that could independently settle every movement.
15:56
Speaker 1: When a witness with credibility problems becomes a substitute or missing,
16:00
Speaker 1: or compromise her veillance certainty, skepticism is not paranoia. It's
16:06
Speaker 1: a rational evidentiary caution. Noel may be telling the truth
16:10
Speaker 1: that no one entered the tier, but the problem is
16:13
Speaker 1: that the system around her behaved in ways that may
16:15
Speaker 1: trust extremely difficult. The Linen issue is another landmine in
16:20
Speaker 1: the Noel narrative because it goes directly to means an opportunity.
16:25
Speaker 1: Epstein was found with an orange cloth or sheet material
16:28
Speaker 1: associated with hanging, and questions have persisted about excess linen
16:33
Speaker 1: in his cell. Noel reportedly denied in the sworn interview
16:37
Speaker 1: that she gave out linen, Yet the OIG report reference
16:40
Speaker 1: to video suggesting a corrections officer believed to be no
16:43
Speaker 1: Well carried linin into the area near Epstein's cell. This
16:48
Speaker 1: doesn't automatically prove she gave Epstein the material used in
16:51
Speaker 1: his death, but it creates exactly the kind of contradiction
16:54
Speaker 1: investigators and lawmakers have to nail down. If she carried linin,
16:59
Speaker 1: where did it go? If she did not give out linen,
17:02
Speaker 1: why does the record appear to suggest linen movement near
17:05
Speaker 1: the relevant area. If Epstein had excess linen, who knew,
17:10
Speaker 1: who checked, who failed to remove it? And when was
17:12
Speaker 1: his cell last searched. The OIG found that Epstein was
17:16
Speaker 1: left alone and unmonitored with an excessive amount of bed linens,
17:20
Speaker 1: which is one of the most maddening details in the
17:22
Speaker 1: entire case. After a prior possible suicide attempt, after a
17:27
Speaker 1: cellmate requirement, after heightened concern, the system still allow the
17:31
Speaker 1: conditions for so called hanging to remain in place. Noel's
17:35
Speaker 1: narrative is difficult to believe, not because one disputed linen
17:38
Speaker 1: movement proves everything, but because it fits a pattern of
17:42
Speaker 1: bad answers around the exact details that matter most. When
17:46
Speaker 1: the means of death is cloth, every linen question becomes central.
17:52
Speaker 1: Noel's insistence that she did not sleep during the shift
17:55
Speaker 1: also runs into the OIG's analysis, which described Noel and
17:59
Speaker 1: Thomas as he without moving for a period and appearing
18:02
Speaker 1: to be sleeping again. One can imagine an exhausted officer
18:06
Speaker 1: trying to split hairs between dozing, nodding, and sleeping, but
18:10
Speaker 1: that distinction does not save the larger point. She and
18:14
Speaker 1: Thomas were responsible for rounds and counts, and those rounds
18:18
Speaker 1: and counts were not done. Whether she fully slept, partially dozed,
18:22
Speaker 1: started at a screen, or zoned out from exhaustion, the
18:26
Speaker 1: operational reality is the same. Epstein was not checked. The
18:30
Speaker 1: OIG also noted computer activity, showing to well use a
18:34
Speaker 1: computer during the night for furniture cells, benefit websites and
18:39
Speaker 1: reading about Epstein. That detail is infuriating because it captures
18:43
Speaker 1: the full absurdity of the moment, the most infamous inmate
18:47
Speaker 1: in federal custody was in a cell nearby, alone and
18:50
Speaker 1: supposed to be monitored while the officers were responsible for
18:54
Speaker 1: the unit failed to perform the basic tasks that would
18:57
Speaker 1: have confirmed whether he was alive. The public was then
19:01
Speaker 1: asked to trust paperwork that said those tasks had happened.
19:05
Speaker 1: That's why Noel's interview feels less like a normal memory
19:08
Speaker 1: exercise and more like watching the machinery of accountability jam
19:12
Speaker 1: in real time. It's not simply that she may have
19:15
Speaker 1: been tired. It's that the official record was made to
19:18
Speaker 1: say the tired officer did work they did not do.
19:23
Speaker 1: The deferred prosecution agreement in Noel's criminal case adds another
19:27
Speaker 1: layer of public frustration. Noel and Thomas were charged with
19:30
Speaker 1: falsifying records, but the charges were ultimately dismissed after they
19:35
Speaker 1: completed the terms of deferred prosecution agreements. In legal terms,
19:40
Speaker 1: deferred prosecution agreements are not unheard of, especially when prosecutors
19:44
Speaker 1: believe cooperation, lack of prior record, or broader institutional failures
19:49
Speaker 1: complicate the case, but politically and morally, the optics are disastrous.
19:56
Speaker 1: The two guards tied directly to the false records surrounding
19:59
Speaker 1: Epstein's final night avoided convictions after a case that many
20:03
Speaker 1: Americans saw as a bare minimum accountability test. That outcome
20:08
Speaker 1: reinforced the belief that whenever Epstein's case touches institutions, the
20:13
Speaker 1: consequences become strangely soft, diffused, procedural, or delayed. The public
20:20
Speaker 1: saw Epstein's original Florida deal as too lenient, saw powerful
20:23
Speaker 1: associates evade full scrutiny for years, saw Maxwell prosecuted but
20:28
Speaker 1: the broader network largely remain untouched, and then saw the
20:32
Speaker 1: guards in the death case walk away without convictions. Noel's
20:37
Speaker 1: testimony today, therefore, does not occurr in a vacuum. It
20:40
Speaker 1: arrives inside a long history of institutional outcomes that train
20:44
Speaker 1: the public to distrust official closure. The question is no
20:48
Speaker 1: longer simply what Noel did. It's why every layer of
20:52
Speaker 1: the Epstein system seems to narrow accountability instead of expanding it.
20:58
Speaker 1: Her I don't recall pattern is a space specially damaging
21:01
Speaker 1: because memory failures and high stake interviews often function like
21:04
Speaker 1: a shield. Whether intentional or not, a witness who says
21:08
Speaker 1: no can be contradicted. A witness who says yes can
21:11
Speaker 1: be pinned down. A witness who says I don't remember
21:14
Speaker 1: often leaves investigators with less to prosecute, less to challenge,
21:18
Speaker 1: and less to use as a firm admission. That doesn't
21:22
Speaker 1: mean that every lack of memory is strategic, but it
21:25
Speaker 1: does mean repeated memory gaps around critical facts deserves skepticism.
21:30
Speaker 1: Noel's interview by public accounts and available summaries was filled
21:34
Speaker 1: with uncertainty about forms, accounts, searches, conversations, and the basic
21:40
Speaker 1: mechanics of what happened. That is precisely the kind of
21:43
Speaker 1: interview that enrages the public because it feels like the
21:47
Speaker 1: state asking ordinary people to accept official conclusions while the
21:51
Speaker 1: officials and employees involved cannot answer ordinary questions. In any workplace,
21:58
Speaker 1: a person responsible for a catastrophic failure would be expected
22:01
Speaker 1: to explain what happened in a direct and coherent way.
22:06
Speaker 1: In a federal jail death involving Jeffrey Epstein, that expectations
22:10
Speaker 1: should be even higher. The standard should not be can
22:13
Speaker 1: prosecutors prove a crime beyond reasonable doubt? The oversight standard
22:18
Speaker 1: should be, can this witness give the public a credible
22:21
Speaker 1: account of her conduct? On that standard, Noel's prior explanations
22:26
Speaker 1: have felt badly and in a perfect world, the House
22:29
Speaker 1: Oversite Committee's interest in the will would not be some
22:32
Speaker 1: fringe detour. It would be a necessary return to the
22:35
Speaker 1: scene of institutional collapse. The committee's March letters said it
22:40
Speaker 1: was reviewing allegements management of the federal government's investigation into
22:44
Speaker 1: Epstein and Maxwell, the circumstances and investigations of Epstein's death
22:49
Speaker 1: sex trafficking operation, how Epstein and Maxwell sought influence and
22:54
Speaker 1: potential ethics issues involving elected officials. That is an unusually
22:58
Speaker 1: broad mandate of the death's component is inseparable from the
23:02
Speaker 1: rest of the Epstein scandal. Epstein's death ended the criminal
23:06
Speaker 1: case against them, froze the public trial that might have
23:09
Speaker 1: exposed more names and mechanisms, shifted the burden to civil
23:13
Speaker 1: litigation and Maxwell's prosecution, and allowed institutions to manage disclosure
23:18
Speaker 1: through fragments rather than courtroom confrontation. Noel is relevant because
23:24
Speaker 1: she was physically positioned at the choke point where the
23:27
Speaker 1: living defendant became a dead defendant. If her testimony is evasive,
23:32
Speaker 1: that will deepen suspicion. If it's clear and detailed. It
23:35
Speaker 1: may answer some questions, but will also have to confront
23:38
Speaker 1: the contradictions already embedded in the record. Either way, lawmakers
23:43
Speaker 1: will have a duty to test her story hard. The
23:46
Speaker 1: public has been handed too many summaries and too few
23:50
Speaker 1: direct answers. The central question for Noel today should not
23:55
Speaker 1: be framed as theatrical demand for her to solve every
23:58
Speaker 1: Epstein mystery should be a disciplined interrogation of her own conduct, knowledge, movements, paperwork, communications,
24:06
Speaker 1: and memory. She should be asked exactly when she saw
24:10
Speaker 1: Epstein alive last, what he looked like, and what he said,
24:14
Speaker 1: whether he appeared distressed, whether she knew he lacked a
24:17
Speaker 1: cell mate, whether she knew he was required to have one,
24:20
Speaker 1: and who told her about his status. She should be
24:23
Speaker 1: asked about every count slip bearing her signature and every
24:26
Speaker 1: round attributed to her. She should be asked why documents
24:31
Speaker 1: set rounds and counts happened when they did not. She
24:34
Speaker 1: should be asked whether any supervisor pressured staff to backfill, prefill, normalize,
24:40
Speaker 1: or falsify paperwork. She should be asked about the Internet searches,
24:44
Speaker 1: not with vague outrage, but with precise time stamps, devices,
24:48
Speaker 1: use her access and her explanation for each search. She
24:52
Speaker 1: should be asked about the linen movements, the orange cloth,
24:55
Speaker 1: and her prior denial that she gave out linen. She
24:59
Speaker 1: should be asked about cash deposits with enough specificity to
25:02
Speaker 1: remove innocent explanations from suspicious fog. And she should be
25:07
Speaker 1: asked why anyone should trust her recollection now when her
25:10
Speaker 1: previous interview was so clouded by uncertainty. The broader institutional
25:16
Speaker 1: context also has to be kept in view, because Noel
25:19
Speaker 1: should not become the only face of a failure that
25:22
Speaker 1: clearly extended beyond one guard. Mcc new York was understaffed, mismanaged,
25:28
Speaker 1: and operating with serious systemic problems. Supervisors failed to ensure
25:32
Speaker 1: Epstein had a cell mate. Staff failed to search to
25:36
Speaker 1: sell properly. The video system was unreliable in ways that
25:40
Speaker 1: should have been unacceptable in a federal detention center housing
25:43
Speaker 1: high profile defendants, Epstein was allowed and on monitor phone
25:47
Speaker 1: call the evening before his death. Multiple employees created or
25:51
Speaker 1: certified false documentation around counts and rounds. The OIG's own
25:56
Speaker 1: findings described numerous serious failures, not a single isolation mistake
26:01
Speaker 1: by one low level officer, And in my opinion, that
26:04
Speaker 1: matters because focusing only on Noel can become another form
26:08
Speaker 1: of blast radius management. Blame the guard, close the file,
26:12
Speaker 1: and spare the hierarchy. But the opposite mistake is also dangerous.
26:17
Speaker 1: Systemic failure does not erase individual responsibility. Noel can be
26:21
Speaker 1: both a low level employee in a broken institution and
26:25
Speaker 1: a key witness whose narrative deserves intense skepticism. And look,
26:30
Speaker 1: what makes the Epstein Gel story so toxic is that
26:33
Speaker 1: the official conclusion depends on institutions that had already forfeited
26:37
Speaker 1: public trust. The same federal system that mishandled Epstein's original
26:41
Speaker 1: Florida case later had him in custody in New York.
26:46
Speaker 1: The same government that felt to fully expose his network
26:49
Speaker 1: then presided over his death before trial. The same institutions
26:53
Speaker 1: that promised accountability then produced missing answers, broken cameras, false logs,
26:59
Speaker 1: memory apps, and limited prosecutions. That's why the Noel interview
27:04
Speaker 1: did not land as a minor personal matter. It landed
27:07
Speaker 1: as another example of the state saying trust us while
27:11
Speaker 1: handing the public a record that practically begs not to
27:14
Speaker 1: be trusted. The official medical finding of suicide may be
27:18
Speaker 1: supported by the autopsy and by the FBI's conclusion that
27:21
Speaker 1: no criminality causes death. But public trust is not built
27:27
Speaker 1: by conclusions alone. It's built by a chain of competent, transparent,
27:32
Speaker 1: corroborated facts. In Epstein's case, that chain is full of
27:36
Speaker 1: weak links. Noel is one of the weakest. Her testimony
27:40
Speaker 1: today is important because Congress has the opportunity to test
27:44
Speaker 1: whether that link can bear any weight at all. And
27:48
Speaker 1: I think that there's also a moral dimension here that
27:50
Speaker 1: often gets buried beneath the procedural debris. Epstein's death did
27:55
Speaker 1: not only rob the public of a trial. It robs
27:58
Speaker 1: survivors of a direct criminal record against the man at
28:01
Speaker 1: the center of the abuse. Every false counselate, every miss round,
28:06
Speaker 1: every unexplained decision, and every evasive interview sits on top
28:11
Speaker 1: of that injury. Survivors have waited years to see Epstein
28:14
Speaker 1: face real federal prosecution after the disgrace of the Florida
28:18
Speaker 1: Non prosecution Agreement. Then, just as that possibility finally emerged,
28:23
Speaker 1: the system that was supposed to hold them securely failed
28:26
Speaker 1: in almost every way that mattered. Noel's account is therefore
28:30
Speaker 1: not just about whether one guard did her job. It's
28:33
Speaker 1: about whether the government can explain how a defendant of
28:36
Speaker 1: that magnitude died in its custody before the truth could
28:40
Speaker 1: be tested in open court. When our answer is dissolved
28:44
Speaker 1: into who, I don't recall, the injury compounds because it
28:47
Speaker 1: sounds like the same institutional fog that protected Epstein for
28:51
Speaker 1: years has now settled over the circumstances of his death.
28:55
Speaker 1: The public anger is not merely conspiracy fever. It's a
29:00
Speaker 1: response to a system that keeps producing opacity at the
29:04
Speaker 1: exact moments where clarity is most required. If Noel wants
29:09
Speaker 1: to be believed, she has to do more then repeat
29:11
Speaker 1: the old fragments. She has to explain the contradictions directly.
29:15
Speaker 1: She has to explain why she did not conduct require checks,
29:19
Speaker 1: why records were signed anyway, why she did not know
29:22
Speaker 1: or act on Epstein's lack of a cell mate, why
29:25
Speaker 1: she can't remember searches tied to Ebstein shortly before his
29:28
Speaker 1: body was found, and what exactly happened with Linen's in
29:32
Speaker 1: the shoe. She has to explain her state of mind
29:36
Speaker 1: without hiding behind fatigue, as though exhaustion turns false records
29:40
Speaker 1: into paperwork accidents. She has to explain whether supervisors knew
29:45
Speaker 1: the rounds were not being done, whether falsification was a
29:48
Speaker 1: routine practice, and whether the culture inside MCC treated official
29:53
Speaker 1: logs as performance theater rather than security records. She has
29:58
Speaker 1: to explain why her prior answers were so vague. She
30:01
Speaker 1: has to explain what she remembers now that she did
30:04
Speaker 1: not remember then, and why Congress should not allow her
30:08
Speaker 1: to flow through another interview on uncertainty. If the public
30:12
Speaker 1: is expected to accept the official account, the witnesses at
30:15
Speaker 1: the center of that account must be subjected to question
30:18
Speaker 1: sharp enough to cut through years of institutional sludge and
30:23
Speaker 1: look when you chop it all up. Tovin Noel's story
30:26
Speaker 1: is difficult to believe because it asked the public to
30:28
Speaker 1: accept too much institutional coincidence from a system that had
30:32
Speaker 1: already failed too many times. Epstein lost, his cellmate, was
30:36
Speaker 1: left alone, was not properly checked, had excess Linen's was
30:40
Speaker 1: near officers who did not perform required rounds, was surrounded
30:44
Speaker 1: by falsified bogs, and died before trial. Noel then gave
30:49
Speaker 1: investigators an account filled with forgetfulness, uncertainty, disputed recollections and
30:55
Speaker 1: explanations that did not comfortably align with the video and
30:59
Speaker 1: documentary record. Now none of that proves a murder plot,
31:03
Speaker 1: and responsible analysis should not pretend that it does. But
31:06
Speaker 1: it absolutely proves that the official narrative is weaker, messier,
31:10
Speaker 1: and more compromised than the public was originally as to accept.
31:15
Speaker 1: The question is not whether Noel alone is the key
31:18
Speaker 1: to every hidden door in the Epstein case. The question
31:22
Speaker 1: is whether her testimony can finally force daylight onto one
31:26
Speaker 1: of the darkest corners of this story, the human conduct
31:30
Speaker 1: inside the shoe during the hours when Epstein was supposed
31:33
Speaker 1: to be alive, monitored, and secure. If she answers honestly
31:37
Speaker 1: and completely, the record may become clearer. If she retreats
31:41
Speaker 1: again and I don't know and I don't recall, then
31:44
Speaker 1: her testimony will become one more exhibit in the argument
31:48
Speaker 1: that Epstein's death was not just a jelhouse failure, but
31:52
Speaker 1: a government accountability failure of historic proportions. All of the
31:57
Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found the
32:00
Speaker 1: description box What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode
32:03
Speaker 1: of the Epstein Chronicles. Over the past few days, a
32:08
Speaker 1: lot of the publicity when it comes to depositions in
32:11
Speaker 1: front of Congress was on Pam Bondi. However, Bondi wasn't
32:16
Speaker 1: the only person speaking to Congress. We also had touvin
32:21
Speaker 1: O Well, the guard that was on duty when Jeffrey
32:24
Speaker 1: Epstein died. Well. Now she's sang that her life has
32:28
Speaker 1: been upended and that the Epstein controversy and what happened
32:32
Speaker 1: in that jail has led to people going so far
32:36
Speaker 1: as to threatening her life. And unfortunately, there's a lot
32:39
Speaker 1: of unhinged people out there, and when people make threats
32:42
Speaker 1: like that this day and age, it has to be
32:45
Speaker 1: taken seriously. Right, And as I've told you from the beginning,
32:48
Speaker 1: I don't think that touven A Well was in on
32:50
Speaker 1: it like she wasn't you know, somebody who planned it,
32:53
Speaker 1: wasn't somebody that was relied upon. But I believe that
32:57
Speaker 1: the table was set and she played her part willingly
33:01
Speaker 1: or unwillingly. Does that mean anybody should be threatening this
33:04
Speaker 1: lady's life. Hell no, anyone doing that they should go
33:08
Speaker 1: to jail too. Fuck is wrong with people. The idea
33:13
Speaker 1: is for a robust investigation, not vigilante justice that plays
33:17
Speaker 1: right into their hands. They want to paint all of
33:19
Speaker 1: us as crazy people. That's what they want. If you
33:22
Speaker 1: want to effectively kill a narrative, paint everybody that's pushing
33:25
Speaker 1: that narrative as crazy. And when you have people that
33:28
Speaker 1: are out here act in the fool, threatening people, becoming
33:33
Speaker 1: unhinged maniacs, it doesn't do anyone any good, not the
33:37
Speaker 1: person that's becoming unhinged, and it definitely doesn't help promote justice. Right,
33:43
Speaker 1: the more crazy people you have, the more they can
33:46
Speaker 1: use that broad brush and paint everybody is crazy. So
33:49
Speaker 1: today we have an article from the International Business Times
33:53
Speaker 1: and the headline Epstein guard on duty when he was
33:56
Speaker 1: found dead, faces death threats over cover up? Can spiracy
34:00
Speaker 1: theories conspiracy theories? Is it? So this isn't a cover up?
34:05
Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think there's any conspiracy about it. Now.
34:08
Speaker 1: Of course we can talk about what happened to Epstein
34:10
Speaker 1: in that jail. Nobody knows for sure, but I think
34:13
Speaker 1: that the evidence is certainly there where you can make
34:17
Speaker 1: the case that Jeffrey Epstein was murdered. Now, of course
34:21
Speaker 1: you can make the case the other way too, But
34:23
Speaker 1: I think when you have all of the coincidences, all
34:26
Speaker 1: of the screw ups and all of the nonsense that
34:29
Speaker 1: we've heard in those depositions that were given by people
34:32
Speaker 1: at MCC to the OIG. Have any of you come
34:36
Speaker 1: away from that confident in the narrative that was being
34:38
Speaker 1: pitched by the DOJ. I most certainly am not. And
34:44
Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever seen something that has been
34:47
Speaker 1: more blatant than this cover up right here. This article
34:50
Speaker 1: was authored by THEO Felicity, a former prison officer who
34:55
Speaker 1: was on duty the night Jeffrey Epstein died in a
34:57
Speaker 1: New York jail, has told us law made that enduring
35:00
Speaker 1: conspiracy theories around his death have derailed her life and
35:04
Speaker 1: left her facing harassment in threats. According to a transcript
35:07
Speaker 1: of testimony shared by The Sun, I wonder if that
35:10
Speaker 1: caused her to assault one of her co workers, because
35:13
Speaker 1: she got sued for that too. Did this Jeffrey Epstein
35:18
Speaker 1: situation cause that? Just a question? The Epstein guard on
35:22
Speaker 1: duty when he was found dead Toauvin, o Weel told
35:25
Speaker 1: the House Oversight Committee that she was not involved in
35:27
Speaker 1: any cover up and insisted she never conspired in Epstein's
35:31
Speaker 1: death while working at the MCC in twenty nineteen, and
35:35
Speaker 1: I agree with that, but was she put in that
35:37
Speaker 1: position with Michael Thomas so this could occur. We don't
35:42
Speaker 1: even know who was making decisions when it comes to
35:45
Speaker 1: Epstein's cellmate. And that's not speculation. We've been through the documents,
35:50
Speaker 1: We've read through all of it. So no, I don't
35:52
Speaker 1: think that touven O Weel is some mastermind here and
35:55
Speaker 1: put together a plan to whack Jeffrey Epstein. I've never
35:59
Speaker 1: thought that was the table set. Were all the pieces
36:03
Speaker 1: put in the right places, Well, that seems like a
36:06
Speaker 1: very very likely possibility. And whether there was somebody else
36:09
Speaker 1: in that cell or the message Epstein himself was you
36:13
Speaker 1: better do it or we will, the results are the same.
36:17
Speaker 1: And the fact that Tovin Ohell and Michael Thomas were
36:19
Speaker 1: sleeping at the time, never mind all the other policies
36:22
Speaker 1: that were broken, it makes it hard to believe. Now,
36:25
Speaker 1: if it was just one thing, you know, the cameras broke,
36:28
Speaker 1: but they were awake, or a vice versa. Cool I
36:31
Speaker 1: could accept that. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I
36:35
Speaker 1: know shit happens at work. Sometimes things just go south.
36:39
Speaker 1: I get it. But this is a lot more than that,
36:43
Speaker 1: and there's something a lot more in the farius going on,
36:45
Speaker 1: at least in my opinion. The theories emerged as the
36:49
Speaker 1: public attempts to track Epstein's final hours, including the release
36:52
Speaker 1: of documents tied to earlier investigations and long standing questions
36:56
Speaker 1: about failures inside the federal jail system. That's the excuse, right, Oh,
37:01
Speaker 1: these are systemic failures. Well, have any of them been addressed?
37:06
Speaker 1: How about the people that were in place to make
37:08
Speaker 1: sure the failures didn't happen or they replaced? Did they
37:11
Speaker 1: get fired, were they charged? No, none of it happened.
37:16
Speaker 1: So they told you that there was all these systemic
37:18
Speaker 1: errors and nothing was ever corrected. Meanwhile, we know for
37:22
Speaker 1: a fact that tovin o Well and Michael Thomas both
37:25
Speaker 1: fell asleep and didn't do their job, and for that alone,
37:29
Speaker 1: they should have went to jail, especially considering that somebody died.
37:33
Speaker 1: And I don't even care if it's Epstein. Anybody imagine
37:37
Speaker 1: if that was your father, your brother, whatever, And I
37:40
Speaker 1: don't want to hear. Oh, well they're in jail. Who
37:41
Speaker 1: cares fuck that. When the state takes custody of you,
37:45
Speaker 1: they have a responsibility to make sure you're relatively safe. Now,
37:49
Speaker 1: does that mean, everything is going to be protected and
37:51
Speaker 1: you're going to be in bubble wrap. Of course not,
37:54
Speaker 1: but this is something completely unacceptable, especially considering there's been
38:00
Speaker 1: nothing done in the aftermath when we heard about how
38:04
Speaker 1: systemic all this was. Epstein, the disgraced financier waiting trial
38:08
Speaker 1: on sex trafficking charges, was found on a responsive in
38:11
Speaker 1: his cell on August tenth, twenty nineteen. His death was
38:14
Speaker 1: ruled a suicide by hanging by the New York Medical Examiner,
38:18
Speaker 1: a finding later supported by the US Department of Justice,
38:21
Speaker 1: though it's remained the subject of persistent public doubt. Yeah,
38:26
Speaker 1: it was disputed by Michael Baden, who was actually present
38:30
Speaker 1: when the autopsy occurred. So again I ask you, do
38:33
Speaker 1: you trust the State of New York the federal government?
38:36
Speaker 1: And if you do, great, awesome. But my question then
38:40
Speaker 1: would be what have they done to garner that trust?
38:44
Speaker 1: Because every time I turn around, there's another scandal, another
38:48
Speaker 1: shit show, and nobody doing anything about it. So keep
38:52
Speaker 1: that shit in mind next time they tell you that, oh,
38:54
Speaker 1: it's just a systemic error. Oh, it has nothing to
38:57
Speaker 1: do with personnel, it has nothing to do with any
39:00
Speaker 1: But he's setting the table. Okay, cool, So who was
39:04
Speaker 1: punished in the aftermath, certainly not Touvin Noel or Michael Thomas.
39:08
Speaker 1: They got suspended sentences. Noel, who was initially charged and
39:12
Speaker 1: in connection with falsifying records during her shift, told lawmakers
39:15
Speaker 1: that the circumstances inside the MCC were shaped by what
39:19
Speaker 1: she described as systemic breakdowns rather than individual misconduct alone.
39:24
Speaker 1: It's not our fault, it's the system's fault. No, it's
39:27
Speaker 1: her fault. She fell asleep, did she? Or did she
39:30
Speaker 1: not fall asleep? She did, so she can bullshit all
39:33
Speaker 1: she wants. But I've read the transcripts. Unlike Congress, we
39:38
Speaker 1: know they haven't read them because they don't really care.
39:40
Speaker 1: They're looking for a gotcha moment. But I've read them,
39:44
Speaker 1: and I know that everything Tauvin Oel's claiming here has
39:47
Speaker 1: been shitited on by captains and lieutenants and everybody else.
39:52
Speaker 1: Now that's not to say there wasn't some systemic error.
39:55
Speaker 1: There was, but to use that as the only reason
39:58
Speaker 1: why we're in this situation is not only unacceptable, it's ridiculous,
40:03
Speaker 1: because here's the truth. If they would have done their rounds,
40:06
Speaker 1: if they didn't falsify that paperwork, Jeffrey Epstein might still
40:11
Speaker 1: be alive. So even if they didn't do it on purpose,
40:14
Speaker 1: even if they weren't bought and paid, they still fucked up.
40:18
Speaker 1: They still went to sleep, and Jeffrey Epstein died as
40:21
Speaker 1: a result. So is that systemic or is that individual? Yo?
40:25
Speaker 1: We live in a world where nobody wants to take
40:27
Speaker 1: self responsibility for anything. It's always somebody else's fault. My advice,
40:34
Speaker 1: take a look in the mirror. About ninety percent of
40:36
Speaker 1: your problems self made. She pointed to severe understaffing, poor training,
40:42
Speaker 1: and we communication between management and frontline officers. We know
40:46
Speaker 1: that's a lie too. We know that there was stickies.
40:48
Speaker 1: We know that everybody knew that Jeffrey Epstein needed to
40:51
Speaker 1: sell mate. But instead of reaching out to somebody, instead
40:55
Speaker 1: of doing the right thing, Tovin no, Well, well, she
40:58
Speaker 1: was on the computer, she was sleep and she was
41:01
Speaker 1: doing whatever she wanted. But sure, that's the system's fault, right,
41:04
Speaker 1: My responsibility to conduct counts and rounds wasn't properly executed
41:08
Speaker 1: because of severe understaffing, a lack of adequate training, inadequate
41:13
Speaker 1: communication between management and frontline correctional officers, and other systemic failures,
41:18
Speaker 1: she said in testimony, describing what she referred to as
41:22
Speaker 1: the MCC way. So all of that made her go
41:24
Speaker 1: to sleep. Severe understaffing made you go to bed. Oh no,
41:30
Speaker 1: you had to work overtime. How horrible for you. When
41:34
Speaker 1: I was working in entertainment, there were times where I
41:37
Speaker 1: would work three four weeks and I'm not even kidding you,
41:40
Speaker 1: with no days off, eighteen hours a day, manual fucking
41:44
Speaker 1: labor on, loading trucks, setting up concerts, the whole thing.
41:48
Speaker 1: I didn't fall asleep at work, So please save that bullshit.
41:51
Speaker 1: And if you're too tired, call in. So I get it.
41:55
Speaker 1: There were issues, they were understaffed. The not great, but
42:02
Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you have to take
42:04
Speaker 1: self responsibility. And if you're not up to snuff and
42:08
Speaker 1: your training is not good enough, why didn't you contact
42:10
Speaker 1: the captain? Why didn't you tell the other lieutenant, Hey, look,
42:14
Speaker 1: I'm not comfortable here. I need to get more training.
42:18
Speaker 1: I guess that would be personal responsibility too, and as
42:22
Speaker 1: we see, she's allergic to that. Noel and another officer
42:27
Speaker 1: had been accused by prosecutors in twenty nineteen a falsely
42:31
Speaker 1: recording that they had completed required checks on inmates in
42:34
Speaker 1: the special housing unit. Authorities alleged that during their shift,
42:38
Speaker 1: no proper monitoring took place for roughly eight hours before
42:42
Speaker 1: Epstein was found on her responsive not alleged that's what happened, Like,
42:47
Speaker 1: what are we doing here? We're going to rewrite history? Alleged, No,
42:52
Speaker 1: she fell asleep. Jeffrey Epstein died. That's what we know
42:56
Speaker 1: for sure. Okay, anything besides that is speculation. Both officers
43:03
Speaker 1: later enter deals with prosecutors and charges were dropped in
43:06
Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, closing the criminal case, but not the
43:09
Speaker 1: public debate surrounding it. It was a deferred prosecution, Okay,
43:13
Speaker 1: they weren't dropped. They were deferred, meaning they had to
43:15
Speaker 1: go through the steps whatever they were to get the
43:18
Speaker 1: charges dropped. And obviously that was to control the blast radius.
43:23
Speaker 1: They didn't want this becoming what it's now become. And
43:26
Speaker 1: I don't know how much more evidence you folks need.
43:28
Speaker 1: Noel told blawmakers that she believed the legal resolution would
43:32
Speaker 1: allow her to move on, but instead, she said that
43:35
Speaker 1: she's been engulfed by suspicion, online theories and personal threats. Well,
43:39
Speaker 1: nobody should be threatening this lady and I think that
43:42
Speaker 1: the problem, obviously is much bigger than just Tovin Owell.
43:46
Speaker 1: She's just a little part of the story, right, And
43:49
Speaker 1: my biggest beef is that she just refuses to accept responsibility, like,
43:54
Speaker 1: have a little bit of remorse. Yo, I screwed up.
43:57
Speaker 1: I fell asleep. I shouldn't have done that. But I
44:00
Speaker 1: most certainly didn't have anything to do with any of
44:02
Speaker 1: the other stuff that happened. But no, it's woe as me.
44:06
Speaker 1: I'm the victim. It's nonsense. You're not a victim. You
44:09
Speaker 1: fell asleep, dude died. That's the system's problem. Sounds like
44:15
Speaker 1: a you problem. I've received threats from strangers. I have
44:20
Speaker 1: witnessed strangers pontificate about whether I'm a murderer or that
44:24
Speaker 1: I'll end up dead, she said, describing harassment at her
44:27
Speaker 1: home and her workplace. Yo, anybody who shows up to
44:30
Speaker 1: somebody's house or workplace is a psychopath. The fuck is
44:34
Speaker 1: wrong with you. Stop it, get help. In the words
44:39
Speaker 1: of Michael Jordan, She added that repeated media coverage based
44:43
Speaker 1: on what she called new theories with little to no
44:46
Speaker 1: factual basis, had kept her tied to the case years
44:49
Speaker 1: after the fact. Blame the government it's their fault. They
44:54
Speaker 1: haven't given us the right information, and everything they've told
44:57
Speaker 1: us about what happened in that jail has proven to BBS,
45:01
Speaker 1: So why should anyone believe the narratives that are being pitched.
45:06
Speaker 1: Her testimony also addressed specific details that have periodically resurfaced
45:10
Speaker 1: in public debate. One concerns Internet searches linked to Epstein
45:14
Speaker 1: made during her shift, including a query referencing latest on
45:17
Speaker 1: Epstein in jail shortly before his death, was discovered suspicious
45:22
Speaker 1: but not evidence. What it tells me is that Tovin
45:25
Speaker 1: Noel was sitting at that computer searching the Internet like
45:29
Speaker 1: anybody else does when they're board, and she fell asleep.
45:32
Speaker 1: Does it make her an evil monster? I don't think so.
45:36
Speaker 1: It makes her incompetent as a prison guard, but not
45:39
Speaker 1: a monster, And it doesn't make her a part of
45:41
Speaker 1: the cover up. I think she was a tool, that's all,
45:45
Speaker 1: just like Michael Thomas. Noel told lawmakers she did not
45:48
Speaker 1: recall conducting a direct search, and suggested that she had
45:51
Speaker 1: encountered news through routine browsing. She also responded to questions
45:55
Speaker 1: about bank transactions flagged as unusual by her financial institution.
46:00
Speaker 1: Noel said the deposits were personal savings and unrelated to
46:04
Speaker 1: Epstein or anyone connected to them. I have never been approached,
46:08
Speaker 1: offered asked anything that's concerning my money. Has nothing to
46:12
Speaker 1: do with Epstein at all, she said, And that's probably true, right.
46:17
Speaker 1: But it's suspicious and it's something that should have been
46:21
Speaker 1: investigated more thoroughly, not because I think that Noel had
46:25
Speaker 1: anything to do with it, but for the sake of
46:27
Speaker 1: being thorough. Epstein's death has remained a boiling point for
46:31
Speaker 1: conspiracy theories, fueled by documented failures at the jail and
46:35
Speaker 1: the sudden removal of a high profile inmate awaiting trial.
46:39
Speaker 1: A twenty twenty three Inspector General report identified multiple lapses
46:43
Speaker 1: with the BOP, including staffing shortages and broken protocols, but
46:48
Speaker 1: concluded there was no evidence of homicide. Noel told blawmakers
46:53
Speaker 1: she was never properly trained for the unit where Epstein
46:55
Speaker 1: was held, and argued that institutional failures, not individual intentils
47:00
Speaker 1: best explain what happened that night. She also dismissed claims
47:04
Speaker 1: linked to a brief orange flash seen on surveillance footage
47:07
Speaker 1: near Epstein's cell, saying it had no connection to her duties. Okay,
47:11
Speaker 1: who was it? Who was it? Then? Somebody was in
47:15
Speaker 1: the video? Are we just going to make pretend that
47:18
Speaker 1: didn't happen. I would like to ask the world to
47:23
Speaker 1: allow me to heal and move on with my life.
47:24
Speaker 1: She said, I'm not a criminal. I didn't conspire to
47:27
Speaker 1: cause mister Epstein's death. Even as the official investigations have
47:31
Speaker 1: repeatedly reaffirmed the conclusion of suicide, the case continues to
47:35
Speaker 1: generate theories in public circles. Well, because nobody trusts institutions,
47:39
Speaker 1: and why should we especially considering as they want to say,
47:44
Speaker 1: it was all systemic, right, Well, if that's the case,
47:47
Speaker 1: nothing's been fixed, nothing has been put to rights. Certainly,
47:52
Speaker 1: nobody's been held accountable. So if the failures around Epstein
47:55
Speaker 1: were so systemic and they were so widespread, how come
47:58
Speaker 1: there's never been any of investigation into that. Can we
48:02
Speaker 1: get some hearings? Can we have congressional oversight? That's the job,
48:06
Speaker 1: right And if this was so systemic, then we need
48:09
Speaker 1: a full accounting of just how far it goes and
48:12
Speaker 1: how many institutions are affected. And the fact that we
48:15
Speaker 1: haven't seen that, the fact that we haven't seen you know,
48:18
Speaker 1: all these different committees investigations oversight leads me to believe
48:23
Speaker 1: that this is all just part of the cover story.
48:25
Speaker 1: Let's just call it systemic, and then we can refer
48:28
Speaker 1: to the OIG investigator's report and that'll back us up.
48:32
Speaker 1: And unfortunately, like I've told you guys for years, that
48:36
Speaker 1: OIG report was never meant to get to the bottom
48:38
Speaker 1: of anything. It was all part of the whitewash, just
48:42
Speaker 1: like everything that's come after it, in my opinion, is
48:45
Speaker 1: part of the cover up. All the information that goes
