  start there. What has your life been like since the attended assassination as an

  anchor on sale news channel. I don't even know if the word crazy.

  We'll cover it. Alex. First of all, thanks for having me on

  your show here. There's so much to talk about. It's been such a
• 0:47
  busy week. All of us in the news world had been braced for a
• 0:50
  busy week because the RNC was slated to begin on Monday, so we were
• 0:54
  ready for that. What we were not ready for was this attempted assassination of
• 0:58
  former President Donald Trump, something that no one ever hopes would happen, no
• 1:03
  one ever would think would happen, and then it did, and it quickly
• 1:06
  became I would say, the biggest story I've ever covered in my career.
• 1:10
  I probably ever will. Oh yeah, well, so what have you found
• 1:12
  out in the anchor role and what have been reporting on that maybe we don't
• 1:17
  we aren't hearing in the mainstream world. You know, there's so much information
• 1:22
  that's coming out by the minute. Really, there's all these investigations going on
• 1:26
  into that assassination attempt, and so trying to find the truth in these in
• 1:30
  these investigations and in these missteps that the multiple police agencies seem to have taken.

  That's a lot to sort through. So on a sale news channel,

  we're very proud to give you the facts. We fact check everything that we
• 1:45
  say for the news program. So when you tune in, we're have the
• 1:49
  news on at this hour every thirty minutes, and it's it's stuff that you
• 1:53
  can count on. This is stuff. This is not conspiracy. We're not
• 1:57
  talking about oh well the shooter, this is what's I'm shoot ter know,

  these are facts that we have fact checked for you. So there's a lot
• 2:04
  going on the investigations they're still ongoing, So we have a lot of things
• 2:07
  that are not answered, and they will. Those will come out in the
• 2:08
  coming days, weeks, and even months, personally or professionally. You can

  answer it this way. Last night at the convention, you know, they
• 2:15
  were bombarding the current It's Kimberly cheto the current secret Service a head. They
• 2:23
  were just like, do you hear that? And what are your thoughts,
• 2:25
  both professionally and personally of that moment, because that's a big moment during the
• 2:29
  convention. I think I think she has a lot to answer. I think
• 2:34
  we need a public address from her well, and hopefully sooner than Monday.

  We'll have to find out from that, I know, Haley. For those
• 2:40
  who don't know a bit of your story, and they see you every thirty
• 2:44
  minutes on SNC, tell us a little bit about Haley Bianco, because I'm
• 2:46
  sure four years ago, covering this convention, let alone, and attempt assassination
• 2:52
  was not on your bingo card, if you will, well, four years
• 2:54
  ago, isn't it crazy to think that was? We were in the height
• 2:58
  of the pandemic. Still, it was summer after the pandemic started in March.

  I was enjoying a blowpool in my parents yard. Because you couldn't go
• 3:07
  anywhere, so I was only hang out with my family. I was covering
• 3:10
  lifestyle news at the time in Wilkesbarre, Pennsylvania, and no, I did
• 3:15
  not imagine being in New York City working for this national platform covering the biggest
• 3:21
  story of my lifetime. I mean, Trump being shot in the ear.
• 3:24
  Thank god he survived, But who would have ever had done their big go
• 3:29
  card? Not me, that's for sure. Not me either. And of
• 3:31
  course, as both of us in the media world were kind of thrust in
• 3:35
  the breaking news world, so in that moment when you found out, it
• 3:38
  seemed like it was a scramble to get things going for us. And see,
• 3:42
  how did you take us behind the scenes of that moment and getting it
• 3:45
  on the air your coverage a couple minutes an hour later, Chaos, disbelief,
• 3:50
  like I don't even know what to say. It was unreal. And
• 3:54
  we do have saturdays, you know, we're not as fully staffed as we
• 3:59
  are during the week. And I was relaxing cooking dinner with my fiance.
• 4:02
  We were making smash burgers. They're all the rage. And then I looked
• 4:08
  at my phone because I was googling something for this special sauce. We were
• 4:11
  making a recipe, and I see all these miscalls from my boss. Sorry,
• 4:15
  but I don't normally work on Satday Sunday, and so I didn't even
• 4:18
  see that the shooting happened until thirty three minutes after. So we were able
• 4:21
  to get it on about an hour after happened with my news report that I
• 4:27
  quickly was able to do from home, and then it was full coverage.
• 4:30
  I didn't stop reporting until two thirty in the morning Saturday, well Sunday morning,
• 4:34
  it would be then, and then I picked it right back up at
• 4:36
  seven thirty in the morning on Sunday. So it was a full weekend,
• 4:41
  and honestly, I am glad that I was able to do it because the
• 4:45
  biggest story and it deserved as much attention as we could give it and continue
• 4:48
  to absolutely. Now, what do you think is going to happen? Saying
• 4:51
  in the speech? What are you hoping to hear from Trump? You knows
• 4:56
  as an anchor and as someone who you know follows his presence, Alex,
• 5:00
  I don't know what to expect tonight. I am so excited to see him
• 5:05
  speak about this. We thought maybe he would address it Sunday he didn't,
• 5:12
  we thought maybe we'd hear from him. Monday, we saw him at the
• 5:15
  convention when he came out with a bandage on his ear. Oh my gosh,
• 5:19
  the unity, I think the Republican Party, but all Americans together,
• 5:25
  we all felt something for that. That was a powerful moment. So tonight
• 5:29
  I hope to hear his side of the story with what happened. I hope
• 5:32
  to hear what he thinks about these ongoing investigations and these missteps that these agencies
• 5:39
  seem to have taken. So I hope he gets some answers from him,
• 5:43
  because over the weekend, Biden held three press conferences about their shooting at the
• 5:48
  rally, and he gave us no answers. The first one that he gave
• 5:53
  Sunday, Well said, he gave one Saturday quick nothing, and then Sunday
• 5:58
  he gave another one, teasing at night he would give a bigger one,
• 6:01
  absolutely nothing. He talked about his campaign at night. I thought that there
• 6:06
  was no need for those I wanted to hear from Trump. So tonight we
• 6:10
  get that opportunity. Also, he'll get to talk about his pick jd Vance,
• 6:14
  which we heard from him last night, and I think he did a
• 6:15
  great job in that speech. I can't wait to watch his movie. I
• 6:18
  have a queued up for this week on Netflix. Well, tell us about

  how since he's going to cover this and you've been covering the convention the whole

  week, so tell us about the S ANDC coverage and how you've been covering

  it with the bomb and the Hour reports And is that exciting just even if

  you're in New York, just to cover the convention for this outlet must be

  exciting to you. It absolutely is. And we have boots on the ground,

  at the convention. We've been chatting with him all week. We've been seeing

  are doing these live programmings from ten pm Eastern to midnight tonight and yesterday covering

  the big speeches. So the big speech is there. They start every night

  moments. Last night we had Don Junior on, we had his daughter Kaya

  on and then we had JD vance of course, so tonight we'll have Trump's

  speech and I'm excited to hear what he says. It's been great to watch

  it all on S and C. And during at this hour, we've been
• 7:24
  bringing you the highlights, the best soundbites that everyone has said during their speeches.

  Will continue to do that and summarize everything for you now, Haley,

  in addition to the breaking news that you guys are covering, how do you

  stay on track with the other important news going on around Because there's not just

  one storyline, there's a whole bunch going on. So how are you following

  everything and giving us every part of the news, not just one part of
• 7:44
  the cycle, if you will. There's so much going on, especially right

  now, so it is hard to balance, like, Okay, what gets
• 7:51
  priority right now? The big ones are keeping up with the investigations Biden,
• 7:58
  is he staying in the race? Pelosi? Obama? They're calling for him
• 8:01
  to drop out? Is that going to happen? That could happen to any
• 8:03
  moment, So we're on guard for that and ready to break into any programming
• 8:07
  to give you that information. And just the R ANDC wrapping up and hearing
• 8:11
  from Trump. But then there's also like one of the stories I covered today,
• 8:13
  Amazon Prime Day. It wrapped up and they had the biggest amount of
• 8:18
  people come in, millions and millions of people. So that's one thing that's,
• 8:20
  you know, not a priority story, but consumer interests. I bought
• 8:24
  stuff from Amazon Prime Day, so I'm sure other people did. So there's
• 8:28

  What people may not know is you go out on the street and do reportings

  as well. What's that like to go on the street and talk to these

  different New Yorkers if you will, Well, in New York, not everyone

  is so friendly. Other places where've worked people have been more friendly and wanting

  to speak. It's also challenge when I go out and do it's called man
• 9:01
  on the street when you do a segment like that where you're sticking the mic
• 9:03
  in people's faces, asking them the questions if they want to talk to you.

  A lot of people here are foreigners, they're visiting, they're traveling,
• 9:13
  they don't speak English, so that's something that I never had to deal with
• 9:16
  before until going on the streets here for segments. But then sometimes you get
• 9:18
  people who definitely want to talk and they say amazing things and it's that's always
• 9:24
  fun. It takes sometimes it's sometimes it's a good day, some days it's
• 9:28
  not. So yeah, we definitely be hitting the streets soon to get more
• 9:31
  opinions from people out and about here. Now. One cool thing about S
• 9:35
  and C is it's also growing. I've noticed a lot of different you know,
• 9:37
  Roku has it and other different outlets. What's that like When a new
• 9:41
  TV provider picks you guys up, that must mean a lot. It's great.
• 9:45
  Just more eyes on our products. We love that, more interaction with
• 9:48
  the viewers. So yeah, we're always trying to look for new platforms to
• 9:52
  get on and we're also just hiring more people. We have a brand new
• 9:56
  anchor starting next week, so we are excited for that be taking over for
• 10:00
  the mornings. Right now, we have our international team on that so they'll
• 10:03
  be doing more specialized reports and we'll have our new anchor starting next week.

  She'll be on air the following week, so I believe that's the twenty ninth
• 10:11
  she'll be starting, so I can't wait for that. We'll have round the
• 10:13
  clock live coverage. It'll be great. I can't end the show without shouting
