Transcript
- 0:08Suze: June 7th, 2026. Welcome everybody to the Women and Money
- 0:13Suze: podcast and everybody smart enough to listen. Today is Suze School,
- 0:19Suze: and on Suze School today we're going to be simply
- 0:22Suze: replaying the webinar that Fitzy and I did a few
- 0:26Suze: days ago on June 4th. Most of you.
- 0:31Suze: In fact, I think all of you absolutely loved it.
- 0:36Suze: The response we got was tremendous. Do you know that
- 0:39Suze: there was approximately 120,000 of you that registered for it?
- 0:46Suze: So I hope all of you were pleased. However, I
- 0:50Suze: just wanna say a few things before I play it.
- 0:55Suze: Listen to me closely now, all right. As you know,
- 0:59Suze: there was birthday pricing for the Must-Have Documents as well
- 1:04Suze: as the Ultimate Scam Protection.
- 1:07Suze: The Must-Have Documents. Once you buy them, you never have
- 1:11Suze: to buy them again. If you purchased them years ago
- 1:15Suze: in any format, you don't have to buy them ever again.
- 1:20Suze: So you don't have to take advantage of the birthday pricing.
- 1:24Suze: You would look at your documents where it says help,
- 1:27Suze: and they will send you the updates so that you
- 1:30Suze: always have the latest and greatest, OK.
- 1:34Suze: So remember that because I don't want you to spend
- 1:37Suze: money when you don't have to spend money. If, however,
- 1:40Suze: you have never purchased the Must-Have Documents, if there was ever
- 1:44Suze: a time to do it for $75 now is the time.
- 1:50Suze: Most of you know that via musthavedocs.com, your price has
- 1:56Suze: been $99 for a long, long time. By the way,
- 2:00Suze: if you had gone to SuzeOrman.com
- 2:02Suze: and purchased it from there it was gonna be $199.
- 2:08Suze: That's how much it was there so I always wanted
- 2:11Suze: my podcast listeners to always get it for less sometime
- 2:18Suze: at the end of this month.
- 2:21Suze: The price is going up for my podcast listeners and
- 2:26Suze: everybody really to $153. Now who knows what Hay House
- 2:33Suze: is gonna price it? I'm sure it will be for
- 2:35Suze: probably $253 but still for you it will
- 2:39Suze: be $153 probably two weeks from now or so. So
- 2:45Suze: if you were ever going to buy the Must-Have Documents, you
- 2:49Suze: need to do it now $75. Now, that expires, everybody...
- 2:58Suze: Monday, June 8th, 11:59 Pacific time. Who knows, maybe Hay
- 3:04Suze: House will decide to extend it. You never know, but
- 3:08Suze: that right now is the deadline. But keep checking if
- 3:11Suze: you listen to this podcast after that date. You never
- 3:16Suze: know what they will do, but now is the time
- 3:19Suze: to do it. Just that simple. Wanna talk about the
- 3:23Suze: Ultimate Scam Protection.
- 3:25Suze: And it is this normally the Ultimate Scam Protection is priced at
- 3:30Suze: $95.88 but until June 8th, 11:59 Pacific time, it is $75.
- 3:43Suze: Many of you are confused, wondering, is that $75 a
- 3:46Suze: year from now on? And the answer to that is no,
- 3:50Suze: it is not.
- 3:51Suze: It is just $75 for one year after you have
- 3:55Suze: purchased it and then it will go for the next
- 3:59Suze: year to $95.88 just that simple, so do not be confused. However,
- 4:07Suze: please know it is not available in New York.
- 4:13Suze: So that's important for you to know if you happen
- 4:16Suze: to be in those two states and you did purchase it,
- 4:19Suze: please cancel it and you will get a refund. All right,
- 4:23Suze: I think that's everything I want you to know about that. So,
- 4:28Suze: are you ready, everybody?
- 4:31Suze: Now, it's time to start the webinar from June 4th.
- 4:37Suze: Let's go.
- 4:45Suze: Welcome everybody to what I think is one of the
- 4:47Suze: most important webinars you will have ever seen in your
- 4:51Suze: entire life, but I'm just gonna tell you what you
- 4:54Suze: should expect to see. Number one, we're going to be
- 4:57Suze: naming individual stocks that you might be interested in.
- 5:01Suze: ETFs, we're gonna talk about bonds, gold, Bitcoin, REITs, real estate.
- 5:07Suze: We're gonna talk about all of it, and you will
- 5:10Suze: be walking away with things that you can take action
- 5:13Suze: on if they're appropriate for you. Now, listen to me.
- 5:18Suze: I'm personally calling this the Dynamic Duo Webinar, and the
- 5:22Suze: reason is this.
- 5:24Suze: Keith Fitz-Gerald will be joining us in one second, but
- 5:28Suze: it takes two, in my opinion, two parts of your
- 5:31Suze: finances for you to be secure. It takes personal finance.
- 5:36Suze: Should you have a will? Should you have a Roth IRA,
- 5:39Suze: what should you do? And that is my specialty. However,
- 5:44Suze: it takes a true expert to be able to tell
- 5:48Suze: you what stocks you should be buying, what ETFs you
- 5:53Suze: should be in, everything, and that is somebody who spends 100%
- 5:58Suze: of their time stunning the markets, having been in this
- 6:02Suze: game for a long time.
- 6:04Suze: And that is Keith Fitz-Gerald. Just little about him. He's
- 6:09Suze: been doing this for 40 years. He has managed over
- 6:12Suze: billions of dollars and advised on tens of billions of
- 6:16Suze: dollars for certain corporations, certain institutions, as to what they
- 6:20Suze: should do with their money. But here's the most important
- 6:23Suze: thing I trust him. I work closely with him, and
- 6:28Suze: in the same way, I hope that you trust me.
- 6:32Suze: I am telling you, you should trust him as well.
- 6:35Suze: So therefore, Keith boyfriend, just so you know, I call
- 6:39Suze: him Fitzy. How do you feel about me calling you Fitzy?
- 6:43Keith: I love it. Thank you so much for that most
- 6:45Keith: gracious introduction and to your point today, we live at
- 6:49Keith: one of the most exciting, dynamic times I can recall
- 6:52Keith: in human history when it comes to investing in your money.
- 6:56Suze: All right, so let's start right there, Keith, which is,
- 7:00Suze: why are these times, number one, you say exciting, but
- 7:03Suze: why are they different than they were two years ago,
- 7:07Suze: five years ago, 10 years ago, where everybody thought they
- 7:10Suze: knew how to invest? How has it changed?
- 7:14Keith: The biggest single change, Suze, is a market concentration of
- 7:19Keith: not only wealth but earnings potential. Now, in the old days,
- 7:24Keith: you could spread your money around and you'd do just fine,
- 7:27Keith: but these days we have the world's best companies making
- 7:31Keith: must-have products and services dominating
- 7:33Keith: the earnings landscape and earnings propel stock prices over time,
- 7:38Keith: so you want to focus on them.
- 7:40Suze: But how does that differ? That's been true forever that
- 7:42Suze: earnings have propelled stock prices. What really makes a difference?
- 7:47Suze: Does AI make a difference? Do the computers make a difference?
- 7:50Suze: What makes it different, really, Keith?
- 7:53Keith: There are two layers that the average investor doesn't think about.
- 7:57Keith: Number one is all of the computerization.
- 8:00Keith: The options, the futures, the news, the dynamicism that we
- 8:04Keith: see in the headlines played out every single day that
- 8:06Keith: forces a concentration in the very best, most liquid, solid companies.
- 8:11Keith: The second thing is that an increasing number of companies
- 8:14Keith: themselves are
- 8:15Keith: dominated by visionary leaders, they're attracting huge amounts of capital,
- 8:20Keith: but they're attracting it not for the wrong reasons. They're
- 8:22Keith: attracting it for the right reasons because they're making products
- 8:24Keith: and services that we literally can't live without. We've never
- 8:28Keith: seen this in recorded human history before.
- 8:31Suze: So you know, over the past we've talked about the
- 8:34Suze: Magnificent Seven. We talk about these stocks, AI. Everybody says
- 8:38Suze: they are in a bubble. Get out of them. Don't
- 8:41Suze: invest in them anymore. Headlines have been, and yet they
- 8:45Suze: have been taking off over the past month or so.
- 8:48Suze: Everything has skyrocketed. Why?
- 8:52Keith: Well, it's a very common misconception, right? People are still
- 8:55Keith: thinking using a roadmap that was built 30, 40, 50
- 8:59Keith: years ago to navigate a market that looks nothing like
- 9:01Keith: it used to.
- 9:02Keith: So this idea that we're in a bubble is really
- 9:06Keith: sort of a recent memory. It's not accurate. The facts
- 9:09Keith: contradict that. If you look at the bubble of 1999,
- 9:13Keith: for example, that was talking socks and something that might
- 9:16Keith: be called the internet. Today's companies are backed by huge, huge,
- 9:21Keith: trillions of dollars of real revenue, real earnings, real products
- 9:25Keith: that are already working their way through the system. So
- 9:27Keith: it's a very, very different environment, and a bubble is
- 9:30Keith: the wrong term.
- 9:32Suze: All right, so you would still be investing at this
- 9:34Suze: point in time, correct?
- 9:36Keith: No question about it.
- 9:38Suze: All right, so let's talk about individual stocks. If you
- 9:42Suze: had to talk about 3 or 4 individual stocks that
- 9:46Suze: you would like everybody to at least look into and
- 9:49Suze: if appropriate, buy for themselves, what would they be and why?
- 9:53Keith: Sure, that's a great question because, you know, this is
- 9:56Keith: about charting a course to the future, right? At the
- 9:59Keith: very top of the list right now, at this moment
- 10:01Keith: in time would be Apple. And Apple is just got,
- 10:05Keith: everybody says it's done, it's not innovating, it's written off, blah,
- 10:08Keith: blah blah. I've learned to watch Apple over the years
- 10:11Keith: and one of the things that Apple does very deliberately
- 10:14Keith: before it changes the universe and the world we know
- 10:17Keith: is it goes quiet.
- 10:18Keith: And that was before the iPhone, before services, etc. I
- 10:21Keith: think they're going to make a huge move here this
- 10:24Keith: year or next when they bring AI down to the device.
- 10:29Keith: And what makes Apple so special, Suze, is they are
- 10:32Keith: the only company in history with 2.5 billion installed devices
- 10:37Keith: around the world, meaning nearly everybody has one, owns one,
- 10:40Keith: or has access to it. Nobody else has that advantage.
- 10:44Suze: All right, so then I just have to ask you
- 10:46Suze: this and bring this up. Do you remember a little
- 10:49Suze: while ago we did something together and I asked you
- 10:53Suze: what was your number one pick, and I said at
- 10:56Suze: the time mine was Apple, but you said at the
- 11:00Suze: time Microsoft. What has made you change from Microsoft to Apple?
- 11:07Keith: Well, yes, you did. My hat's off to you. That
- 11:09Keith: was awesome. But if you also recall at the time
- 11:12Keith: when I said Microsoft, Microsoft has now had a great
- 11:15Keith: run since then. So investing changes, and that's one of
- 11:18Keith: the other things about the current environment that is unique
- 11:22Keith: is you can't just be one and done, you know,
- 11:24Keith: the fact that I liked Microsoft six months ago, nine
- 11:27Keith: months ago, 12 months ago really,
- 11:28Keith: is moot today. The question is what would I buy today? Well,
- 11:32Keith: it's Apple. Microsoft is going to do great, and I
- 11:34Keith: hope I'm smart enough to hold it for a long
- 11:35Keith: time to come.
- 11:37Suze: Great. And so what would be another pick of yours?
- 11:40Keith: Another company is very controversial choice, and you're either going
- 11:43Keith: to love it or you're going to hate it, but
- 11:45Keith: there's no question in my mind that Tesla is the one...
- 11:47Suze: Want me to guess what you're going to say?
- 11:50Suze: He's gonna say Palantir, right?
- 11:53Keith: Well, it could be either Palantir or Tesla. Both of
- 11:56Keith: these companies are incredibly controversial, but they also are incredibly unique.
- 12:01Keith: And again, if we look at where we are in history,
- 12:04Keith: for the first time, we're not talking plow blades, we're
- 12:07Keith: not talking cars, we're not talking physical
- 12:10Keith: goods that you can kick, smell, touch, taste, eat. What
- 12:14Keith: we're talking about is data. And again, we've never seen
- 12:18Keith: this in recorded human history. The average person today, Suze,
- 12:21Keith: encounters more information in a single issue of The New
- 12:25Keith: York Times than a person living in the 1700s or
- 12:27Keith: 1800s would have seen in their lifetime.
- 12:30Keith: And the data is beginning to create data and we're
- 12:33Keith: drawing conclusions and decisions about medicine, about money, about health,
- 12:38Keith: about famine. We live in an age of abundance, not scarcity,
- 12:41Keith: and that's why the investment environment is so compelling right now.
- 12:44Suze: Let's just be clear with everybody because I told them
- 12:47Suze: they're going to walk away with actionable ideas if it
- 12:51Suze: fits their investment profile. So, so far we have Apple,
- 12:55Suze: and Tesla
- 12:56Suze: is what you were just talking about...
- 12:58Keith: And Palantir.
- 12:58Suze: And Palantir. Do you want to give them one more
- 13:01Suze: like outside of that realm?
- 13:04Keith: Absolutely, because it's not just about the data. One of
- 13:08Keith: the other great misconceptions about today's environment is people are
- 13:12Keith: thinking about nice to haves, for example, they're looking at
- 13:15Keith: all this stuff. I could get a new pair of shoes, Nike.
- 13:17Keith: I could get a Peloton. Fine. So you get a commodity.
- 13:20Keith: So what?
- 13:21Keith: What I think people ought to be thinking about is
- 13:24Keith: dividends and income and growth and sustainability. Chevron is at
- 13:28Keith: the very top of the list. Now, again, it's controversial
- 13:32Keith: but very deliberate on my part because oil is not
- 13:35Keith: an on-off switch.
- 13:37Keith: We have to have oil for many, many years to come.
- 13:41Keith: It's in hundreds of thousands of industrial processes. You don't
- 13:45Keith: just suddenly "on" oil one day, "off" the next. It
- 13:48Keith: pays a great dividend, has a global footprint. It is
- 13:51Keith: capable of surmounting and succeeding despite all of the global chaos,
- 13:55Keith: which I suspect is going to get rewired here within
- 13:58Keith: the next six to nine months.
- 13:59Suze: So you know what's interesting, I've always said that if
- 14:03Suze: you're going to
- 14:04Suze: own individual stocks. You should own at least 25 stocks,
- 14:08Suze: no more than 4% in each one, or 30 stocks,
- 14:12Suze: and you need to own a lot of stocks. But
- 14:15Suze: the truth is today, Keith, not many people have that
- 14:19Suze: much money that they can own that many stocks and
- 14:22Suze: know which ones to do. And so therefore exchange traded
- 14:26Suze: funds really, in my opinion, come to play.
- 14:30Suze: So for years now I've been telling people, listen, just
- 14:34Suze: dollar cost average every month into VOO, the Standard and
- 14:37Suze: Poor's 500 index, or VTI, the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index,
- 14:42Suze: the ETF, and things like that. But I've noticed over
- 14:46Suze: the years that there's only a few of the stocks
- 14:50Suze: within the entire index that are moving the entire index.
- 14:55Suze: Is that true?
- 14:57Keith: Yes, it's true, and it's actually becoming more and more pronounced.
- 15:01Keith: Our research shows, for example, over the last, I mean
- 15:04Keith: this is this is a mind blower. Our research shows
- 15:07Keith: that over the last 100 years, there are approximately 29-30,000 stocks,
- 15:12Keith: less than 1,000 of those stocks have contributed effectively 100%
- 15:18Keith: of the total wealth created in the stock market in
- 15:20Keith: the US.
- 15:21Keith: So what that means is the concentration because what you've
- 15:25Keith: proposed for years has worked, it's worked beautifully. I'm super
- 15:27Keith: proud of anybody that's done that because chances are they've
- 15:30Keith: done very, very well. What they need to do now
- 15:32Keith: is focus on where the world is going, not where
- 15:35Keith: it's been, and that's why this concentration is so important
- 15:38Keith: because the number of companies.
- 15:41Keith: That is creating that wealth is continuing to shrink. The
- 15:44Keith: number of public listings over, I think it's since the
- 15:47Keith: 1990s has dropped by roughly 50%. So the number of
- 15:52Keith: public companies has dropped. The rise of ETFs has focused,
- 15:55Keith: and on top of that, the earnings are concentrating, so
- 15:58Keith: you're getting this bull's eye effect that is really pronounced
- 16:01Keith: for investors who want to move the needle. You can't
- 16:04Keith: buy 29,000 stocks and hope you're going to stumble into
- 16:08Keith: the winners. My supposition is you need to focus on
- 16:10Keith: the winners to begin with now.
- 16:12Suze: But would you say, because I don't want to be
- 16:15Suze: wrong for all these years, but...
- 16:16Keith: You're not wrong. You're not. No.
- 16:18Suze: But would you say for the people that currently own VTI, VOO,
- 16:23Suze: whatever it may be, that they should probably stick in it,
- 16:27Suze: but also
- 16:30Suze: diversify among other exchange traded funds or individual stocks?
- 16:34Keith: Yes, I would. And here's why. Number one, if you're
- 16:37Keith: investing in things like VTI and VOO, number one, definite
- 16:40Keith: hat tip to you. Well done. Keep doing that if
- 16:43Keith: it works for you because those are great funds that
- 16:45Keith: get you where you want to go. You're using discipline.
- 16:47Keith: You're earning dividends. I mean all the great stuff that
- 16:50Keith: you want to be doing as an investor.
- 16:52Keith: The problem with diversification and concentration that we're talking about
- 16:55Keith: isn't diversification itself. It's not even concentration. It's that most
- 16:59Keith: investors in today's environment, Suze, don't own enough of the
- 17:03Keith: right stocks. So if you begin to branch out into
- 17:06Keith: ETFs that offer you a very select focus, then I
- 17:11Keith: submit that is a super smart, super appropriate move where
- 17:14Keith: we are in history.
- 17:15Suze: And I have to say to everybody, of course you
- 17:18Suze: would think that. And the reason that I say that
- 17:21Suze: is that you recently debuted an ETF under the symbol FITZ,
- 17:28Suze: and I just wanna say congratulations to you because the
- 17:32Suze: day that it debuted over 1 million shares,
- 17:37Suze: actually, were bought. Tell everybody about FITZ because I tell
- 17:42Suze: people about it. I've told people about it on the
- 17:45Suze: Women and Money podcast and everything, but people are like,
- 17:49Suze: what is a theme? What is he doing exactly? What's
- 17:52Suze: in it? Why did you do it? And why and
- 17:56Suze: who should be looking into purchasing it?
- 17:59Keith: Well, I will do my best. Those are some big questions, right?
- 18:01Keith: So the premise behind FITZ really drives to the heart
- 18:05Keith: of what we've just been talking about. You know, I
- 18:07Keith: think that the way to win is to flip everything around.
- 18:10Keith: Don't spread your money around willy-nilly. This is all stuff,
- 18:14Keith: no fluff, and we started with the premise of this.
- 18:16Keith: Would you, if you got the opportunity to buy 20
- 18:19Keith: to 30 of the world's best, most successful companies making
- 18:24Keith: must-have products and services and align your money in doing
- 18:28Keith: so with where the world is going versus where it's
- 18:30Keith: been in a single easy to buy ticker, would you
- 18:33Keith: do it?
- 18:34Keith: And a lot of people said yes.
- 18:36Suze: And is it your hope that over a long period
- 18:39Suze: of time that FITZ literally outperforms VOO or VTI or
- 18:46Suze: any of those, no promises here, but is that your goal?
- 18:50Keith: Absolutely, it's the intention because this is the living embodiment
- 18:54Keith: of 45 years of my research. You buy the best,
- 18:56Keith: you ignore the rest. All the data supports what we're doing.
- 19:00Keith: History supports what we're doing. If we're doing our jobs properly,
- 19:03Keith: my hope is that we perform very, very well and
- 19:07Keith: that everybody enjoys their trip at the table.
- 19:10Suze: Yeah, you know what's interesting, Keith, is that a lot
- 19:13Suze: of times people hear, Oh, FITZ just came out. I
- 19:16Suze: got to buy it. It's going to go straight up. Everybody,
- 19:18Suze: I personally want you to understand an ETF is not
- 19:22Suze: like an IPO where all of a sudden the
- 19:24Suze: stock comes out and everything. It is a process, and
- 19:28Suze: I think Keith, it took you two or three years
- 19:31Suze: to actually get it all together, everything that's behind it
- 19:35Suze: to make it be what you want it to be.
- 19:37Suze: But the point I want to make here is that
- 19:40Suze: would you agree with me that the way that you
- 19:43Suze: would want people to invest in FITZ is through a
- 19:47Suze: dollar cost averaging approach, number one.
- 19:50Suze: And number two, with the intention of holding it for
- 19:54Suze: five years, 10 years or longer, because you, I think,
- 19:58Suze: told me that you wanted to create an ETF with
- 20:02Suze: the stocks that are going to be there and that
- 20:05Suze: you must have, which is why you're calling it the
- 20:07Suze: must-have portfolio for a long, long time. Is that correct
- 20:11Suze: as well?
- 20:12Keith: Yes, it is. And you know, this is just as
- 20:15Keith: true for FITZ as it is for any other disciplined
- 20:18Keith: investment product. I'd love to be able to tell you, hey,
- 20:20Keith: take everything you got and put it in. But number one,
- 20:23Keith: that would be inappropriate. Number two, that would be a
- 20:25Keith: disservice to you as an investor because we live in
- 20:28Keith: an age where Wall Street's computers have run amok, where
- 20:31Keith: the go fast traders regularly exploit individual investors. Having a
- 20:36Keith: fund like this and using a tactic
- 20:38Keith: like dollar cost averaging or value cost averaging gives you
- 20:43Keith: the advantage because it removes the emotional uncertainty. It means
- 20:47Keith: you don't have to pay attention to the daily headlines
- 20:50Keith: if you have a confidence in the companies that are
- 20:52Keith: in the portfolio and you can just breathe easy, sleep
- 20:56Keith: at night. That's the goal because personally, I like to
- 20:58Keith: sleep at night. So a lot of my own desire
- 21:01Keith: to see a more stable, compelling story
- 21:05Keith: is embodied in that particular ETF and the companies we choose.
- 21:09Suze: You know, I want you all to understand that this
- 21:11Suze: is a managed ETF obviously managed by Keith.
- 21:16Suze: That means there's an expense ratio of 0.75% on it
- 21:21Suze: versus your indexed ETFs that have like 0.003 or whatever
- 21:26Suze: it may be, and I imagine a lot of you
- 21:29Suze: are going to look at that and say, Well, that's
- 21:31Suze: really high, Suze. Why should I pay 0.75% when I
- 21:36Suze: could pay 0.003 and buy the whole market? Keith, I
- 21:39Suze: just need you to address the answer to that question
- 21:42Suze: because people have been emailing me that question.
- 21:45Keith: Well, it's a very logical question, and my answer is
- 21:48Keith: very simple. You get what you pay for. If you
- 21:50Keith: want to buy the index, you're in the crew that's
- 21:52Keith: 29,000 stocks hoping to stumble into some big winners. This
- 21:56Keith: flips this around. What you're really getting is my expertise
- 22:00Keith: for better or for worse.
- 22:02Suze: Everybody, I'm telling you this is what I would be
- 22:06Suze: doing if I were you. If you're in VTI, if
- 22:08Suze: you're in VOO, if you even have some individual stocks
- 22:11Suze: that may be part of FITZ, that is the symbol
- 22:15Suze: FITZ on the New York Stock Exchange, you might want
- 22:19Suze: to consider adding FITZ to the mix because you're going
- 22:24Suze: to see when you see all the stocks that are
- 22:26Suze: in there, and I think
- 22:27Suze: there are about 28 stocks, so I'm just telling you
- 22:30Suze: I'm not making money off of you. I'm just telling you,
- 22:33Suze: and I've always brought to you the ETFs that I
- 22:36Suze: have wanted you to buy in the past, and I'm
- 22:39Suze: adding this one to the list. Let's move on for
- 22:42Suze: a second now. So we have growth. We've just talked
- 22:46Suze: about growth and making money in individual stocks and ETFs,
- 22:50Suze: but there are a lot of people out there.
- 22:52Suze: That need income and I personally believe that the best
- 22:57Suze: way to get income today is not through bonds. I
- 23:00Suze: personally don't like bonds if you're doing it for income.
- 23:03Suze: You want safety and you want a little bit of
- 23:05Suze: your money in treasuries right now. Maybe a 30 year
- 23:09Suze: treasury might not be a bad thing to do, but
- 23:12Suze: really I think inflation is here to stay for a
- 23:16Suze: long time.
- 23:18Suze: For, I want you to have income plus growth, and
- 23:22Suze: when interest rates go down, as maybe they will one day,
- 23:26Suze: who knows? Well then you're doing OK with bonds, but
- 23:31Suze: if interest rates stay up like they are right now,
- 23:34Suze: bonds are not going to help you when it comes
- 23:36Suze: to growth. So I like dividend paying stocks or ETFs.
- 23:41Suze: Talk to me, boyfriend.
- 23:43Keith: I'd be happy to. So I just happen to have
- 23:46Keith: a handy dandy cheat sheet here of some names that
- 23:48Keith: I really do like because you want two things. You
- 23:51Keith: want quality and stability when it comes to growth and income, right?
- 23:54Suze: Is that because you knew I was going to ask
- 23:56Suze: you for individual names?
- 23:57Keith: No, I'm good that way.
- 23:59Suze: All right.
- 24:00Suze: Good. There we go. Tell everybody what you think. Let's
- 24:02Suze: see if I agree with you this time. All right.
- 24:05Keith: Exactly. So I think you want a combination of the two.
- 24:07Keith: Now one of my favorite funds because it plays to
- 24:10Keith: many of the themes we're talking about, but you get
- 24:12Keith: growth and you get income, is you got the Fidelity
- 24:15Keith: Contra Fund, right?
- 24:17Keith: It's a good old fashioned plainly run, very experienced senior
- 24:20Keith: level fund. The ticker is FCNTX. You've got active US
- 24:25Keith: large cap growth. You've got top holdings of Meta, Nvidia, Amazon,
- 24:29Keith: you know, names we talk about regularly, and a low expense. Well,
- 24:32Keith: the expense ratio is 0.74%, but you get what you
- 24:34Keith: pay for.
- 24:36Keith: The other thing that gives great stability is the granddaddy
- 24:38Keith: fund of them all, Vanguard Wellington, 60/40 bonds, roughly, it
- 24:44Keith: varies from time to time, but it's been around since
- 24:45Keith: 1929 and you're talking fabulous stocks, quality picks, good appropriate
- 24:51Keith: balance between growth, income, and stability.
- 24:54Keith: So, you know, just the kind of fun, if I
- 24:56Keith: were sitting around and I had the option to do
- 24:58Keith: stocks and bonds that I would personally try to create,
- 25:01Keith: but you don't have to do that anymore. Vanguard did
- 25:04Keith: it and they did it a long time ago. It's very,
- 25:05Keith: very well run.
- 25:07Keith: And then finally, if we look internationally, right, the iShares
- 25:11Keith: International dividend Growth ETF IGRO, which tracks the XS dividend
- 25:19Keith: growth index. I have to read this because it's very,
- 25:21Keith: very particular language of its own, but what that means
- 25:24Keith: in plain English is it's looking at the rest of
- 25:26Keith: the world looking for great dividend producing companies that are
- 25:29Keith: outside the United States, and that should be some wonderful
- 25:32Keith: names to think about to potentially get started with. They
- 25:35Keith: will offer you a great combination.
- 25:37Suze: So a lot of you will have Schwab dividend, Noble,
- 25:40Suze: all of those.
- 25:41Keith: I forgot to mention that one, the Schwab dividend Fund. Yes,
- 25:45Keith: great one, great choice.
- 25:46Suze: All right, so, and that those are just some dividend
- 25:49Suze: ETFs that also offer you growth.
- 25:52Suze: That you might consider now I'm just gonna put a
- 25:55Suze: pin in all of this for a second and you know, Keith,
- 25:58Suze: things change and you know they change. So here we
- 26:02Suze: are giving this webinar June 4th, 2026. Would you be
- 26:08Suze: willing to join forces with me to make sure that
- 26:13Suze: everybody who's registered for this webinar and the last one.
- 26:17Suze: That we do a quarterly update for them about everything
- 26:21Suze: that we've recommended, how things are doing, and if anything
- 26:25Suze: is changing. You up for that, doing that with me.
- 26:29Keith: What an honor. I would love to. That's a great idea.
- 26:31Suze: Yeah. All right, so everybody just know, given that you're
- 26:35Suze: watching this, in three months, if we have your legit
- 26:40Suze: email and everything, we will
- 26:42Suze: send you a quarterly update in terms of how did
- 26:45Suze: we do with recommendations. Actually, how did Keith do, but
- 26:48Suze: that's besides the point. Maybe I will add some of
- 26:51Suze: my own recommendations to it and just to keep you
- 26:54Suze: abreast as to what's happening in the economy, interest rates,
- 26:58Suze: and things you need to know. Let's jump for a
- 27:02Suze: second here to real estate, OK.
- 27:07Suze: Real estate. I personally am not a fan right now
- 27:13Suze: of real estate, and the reasons are plentiful out there,
- 27:18Suze: but mainly it's not because of what mortgage rates are at.
- 27:22Suze: Oh no, no, it's because what's happening in the climate.
- 27:28Suze: You cannot watch television today, in my opinion.
- 27:31Suze: And see anything other than destruction, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, all
- 27:38Suze: these things that are happening that are actually affecting the
- 27:43Suze: possibility of you maybe losing your home, that's number one.
- 27:49Suze: But number two, because of all that destruction that's happening.
- 27:52Suze: Insurance is over the top. It just is. So you
- 27:59Suze: have to know that unless you own your house outright,
- 28:03Suze: that you can afford the insurance premiums, the property taxes,
- 28:08Suze: the maintenance, and the climate risk.
- 28:12Suze: When you own a piece of real estate, especially your home,
- 28:16Suze: so I don't know. I don't think that the American
- 28:20Suze: dream has to be more where you own a home.
- 28:23Suze: I want you to have money. I want you to
- 28:26Suze: have security. I want you to know that no matter
- 28:29Suze: what happens in the climate or whatever in your life,
- 28:33Suze: that you're OK. However, there is a way to own
- 28:38Suze: real estate
- 28:39Suze: without owning a piece of property or a rental property itself.
- 28:44Suze: Tell everybody, Keith, see if you know what I'm thinking about.
- 28:48Keith: I do. I do, and you're gonna get into something
- 28:50Keith: called a real estate investment trust, yes.
- 28:54Keith: Yeah, yeah, and real estate investment trusts are a great
- 28:57Keith: potential investment because if you get the right one, you
- 29:01Keith: can get people who spend all of their time on
- 29:03Keith: real estate who have appropriate income coming in. You can
- 29:07Keith: get growth in professional management for not a lot of
- 29:10Keith: money without all the hassle or the risk that Suze
- 29:12Keith: just spoke about.
- 29:14Suze: So if they were to buy some REITs, and listen everybody,
- 29:18Suze: I'm not here saying you shouldn't buy a primary residency,
- 29:21Suze: you shouldn't own a home, you shouldn't do whatever, but
- 29:24Suze: those of you especially,
- 29:27Suze: that take real estate as your income, as the way
- 29:31Suze: you invest. I know people out there, Keith, that have 100%
- 29:35Suze: of their investments in real estate, apartments, this and that,
- 29:40Suze: because in the past they went up so much in value.
- 29:44Suze: And it was very different in the past and they
- 29:46Suze: still own them. So I'm talking about today. There are
- 29:51Suze: other ways, everybody, to make money other than buying a home,
- 29:55Suze: flipping it, having four rental properties, depending on somebody to
- 29:59Suze: be able to pay you rent.
- 30:01Suze: There are, and I personally think more wealth will be
- 30:05Suze: built in the stock market and owning the right ETFs,
- 30:08Suze: the right individual stocks, the right REITs, and so forth
- 30:12Suze: than real estate. Before I go on, do you agree
- 30:14Suze: with that or not, Keith?
- 30:16Keith: I do, and I'll tell you why, because I've lived through,
- 30:19Keith: you know, I remember if you remember the S&L crisis,
- 30:21Keith: if you remember Japan in the 90s, you know, I've
- 30:24Keith: personally witnessed several major real estate crashes during the course
- 30:28Keith: of my career. So I'm a huge fan of REITs,
- 30:31Keith: particularly if they're properly constructed in the right types of property.
- 30:36Suze: What are they, Keith? Do you have any on hand
- 30:38Suze: that you might want to suggest?
- 30:40Keith: Well, I tell you what, there's a couple, and this,
- 30:42Keith: this is an environment that is changing very rapidly. And
- 30:44Keith: so let me just give a couple of caveats. I
- 30:47Keith: would stay away from anything that is Class A office space,
- 30:51Keith: meaning big towers, all the kind of stuff you see
- 30:54Keith: in television that's vacant where the urban areas are struggling.
- 30:58Keith: I would stay away from shopping malls and strip malls
- 31:01Keith: and any of those things that, that again, you know,
- 31:04Keith: used to be great sort of backbones for REITs
- 31:07Keith: and I would instead flip that around to the things
- 31:10Keith: you and I've been talking about, the big themes of
- 31:12Keith: our time, one of which is we're all getting older
- 31:15Keith: and so if you look for REITs that focus on
- 31:18Keith: medical care, post-surgical, geriatrics, longevity, you know, my favorite is
- 31:22Keith: Care Trust CTRE because of all of those things. That's
- 31:26Keith: a growth trend in an industry that is otherwise unstable.
- 31:30Suze: And what's the dividend that that thing's paying right now?
- 31:34Keith: I knew you were going to ask me that, and
- 31:35Keith: I am having a brain cramp, and I don't have
- 31:37Keith: that off the top of...
- 31:38Suze: I think it's like 3 or 4% right now, but
- 31:40Suze: it's not bad for Care Trust or other REITs. Should
- 31:46Suze: they be owned inside of a retirement account or outside?
- 31:51Keith: I'm gonna defer to you on that one because you've
- 31:53Keith: really got more expertise in that area than I do.
- 31:56Keith: I'm of course going to say, you know what, you
- 31:58Keith: got to talk to your advisor on that, but you
- 32:00Keith: have been talking about this for years, Suze, so I'm
- 32:02Keith: gonna flip that one back...
- 32:02Suze: A lot of them because of how the income is taxed.
- 32:06Suze: Everybody, you would be far better off in my opinion,
- 32:09Suze: and the majority of REITs that you own should be
- 32:12Suze: owned within a retirement account, not outside. That's why it's important, seriously,
- 32:19Suze: that you did you see what Keith just did?
- 32:22Suze: There's a part that I know. Maybe Keith doesn't know
- 32:25Suze: when you should have a Roth IRA or an IRA
- 32:28Suze: or should you convert or should you not or whatever
- 32:31Suze: it may be. That's why really, Keith, we need to
- 32:34Suze: do a podcast together.
- 32:36Keith: We should, shouldn't we? That'd be fun.
- 32:38Suze: I don't know if I could take you every week.
- 32:42Keith: That's another story.
- 32:43Suze: That's a whole another story. But anyway, you need both
- 32:48Suze: of these things just so you know, to make your
- 32:51Suze: entire financial home really in perfect order. Do you have
- 32:56Suze: any others besides Care Trust?
- 32:59Keith: Well, there's a class that I want people to look
- 33:01Keith: at very seriously, and the two names that are in
- 33:04Keith: there are neck and neck. You know, I want people
- 33:06Keith: to think seriously about some of the public storage type
- 33:10Keith: ETFs or excuse me, REITs. And the reason is that
- 33:15Keith: as people begin to move around, as the housing market changes,
- 33:19Keith: as we've seen the migrations from to and from various
- 33:22Keith: states in this country.
- 33:23Keith: There's a lot of people who have to put stuff
- 33:26Keith: in storage. Now that can be a very significant source
- 33:30Keith: of income. And because I haven't vetted the two choices
- 33:33Keith: I'm thinking about, I'm just going to say, you know what,
- 33:36Keith: look at the public storage, type REITs, they see what
- 33:41Keith: you think. I'm very convinced that they are the real thing.
- 33:45Suze: Right, so that's one of the reasons, Keith, we need
- 33:47Suze: to do a quarterly update, because hopefully in three months
- 33:51Suze: you will have done your research and you can tell
- 33:53Suze: them what the public storage REITs happen to be.
- 33:57Keith: I will be able to do that, but one of
- 33:59Keith: the challenges in this business, right, in the world that
- 34:01Keith: I live in.
- 34:02Keith: I can't make recommendations flippantly. I've got to have the
- 34:06Keith: data to support it because, you know, if people are
- 34:09Keith: going to place their trust in me, that's something I
- 34:11Keith: take very, very seriously. I want to make sure I
- 34:14Keith: have my ducks in a row. So that's why respectfully,
- 34:17Keith: I don't have names on those two that I'm talking
- 34:20Keith: about just now.
- 34:21Suze: But you will in 3 months from now. All right, so...
- 34:26Suze: We've covered that. Let's briefly touch on bonds and just
- 34:30Suze: your opinion on bonds. I gave everybody my opinion. If
- 34:33Suze: you agree with me on it, then we can go on.
- 34:35Suze: What do you think?
- 34:37Keith: Well, bonds are far more dangerous than people realize right now.
- 34:41Keith: The global bond market, I think, is something like 160
- 34:45Keith: some odd trillion dollars. It's bigger than the stock market,
- 34:47Keith: which is $140 trillion or something.
- 34:50Keith: But the problem with the bond markets is structural, Suze,
- 34:53Keith: and let me explain what that means. Everybody talks about
- 34:56Keith: just like rates and here's the bond and here's this.
- 34:58Keith: What they don't understand is that institutions like pension funds
- 35:01Keith: and endowments and family offices, they have to go to
- 35:05Keith: market to buy these bonds. So they're effectively captive.
- 35:08Keith: This is why the Fed is struggling. So bonds to
- 35:11Keith: me are far more dangerous than people realize because of
- 35:15Keith: the institutional involvement. It's not just about the rates anymore.
- 35:18Keith: I would rather see quality stocks with quality management than
- 35:22Keith: a passive index that could go up or down based
- 35:24Keith: on a whim.
- 35:25Suze: All right, next.
- 35:28Suze: Gold.
- 35:29Keith: Oh, here we go.
- 35:30Suze: Yeah, I know. And gold has been very controversial because
- 35:34Suze: so many people, I think I told all of you
- 35:36Suze: this before, I would meet people and they'd go, Suze,
- 35:38Suze: you'd be so proud of me. I sold all of
- 35:41Suze: my stock and put 100% into it, physical gold, and
- 35:46Suze: I'm like, You idiot, are you kidding me? My goodness,
- 35:49Suze: would you be a buyer of gold hair or would
- 35:52Suze: you not, or would you be a seller of gold hair?
- 35:55Keith: Gold is a walkaway trade to me because of the institutions.
- 36:00Keith: People think they're buying gold and it's about the metal,
- 36:03Keith: it's about the currencies, it's about the dollar, it's about
- 36:06Keith: all these macro factors. It is not anymore. The linkage
- 36:10Keith: between gold and rates that had existed for 100 years
- 36:13Keith: broke in '21, '22, '23. And what you've got now, Suze,
- 36:19Keith: is a big institutional mosh pit.
- 36:23Keith: And there's options and futures and contracts as much as
- 36:26Keith: $50 in paper gold for every $1 in real gold.
- 36:31Keith: And what that means is that history shows we potentially
- 36:35Keith: are looking at a 20, 40%, even a 50% decline
- 36:39Keith: from the peak that was hit earlier this year.
- 36:42Suze: So obviously I've told many of you if you want
- 36:45Suze: to invest in gold, I don't have a problem with
- 36:48Suze: you putting a small amount, 1%, 2%, 3% - small into
- 36:52Suze: the ETF gold. You can disagree with me, Keith. Do
- 36:55Suze: you disagree with that?
- 36:56Keith: No, I don't. I think that, you know, again from
- 36:58Keith: a broader perspective, if you've got a little bit and
- 37:01Keith: the objective is to help stabilize everything else you own,
- 37:05Keith: that's a great idea.
- 37:06Suze: All right, one last topic then I will let you go. Bitcoin, crypto,
- 37:12Suze: your opinion.
- 37:14Keith: Well, it's one of those things that is sort of
- 37:16Keith: a mix between reality, fantasy, and delusion. I think probably
- 37:21Keith: owning a little bit of Bitcoin is great. I don't
- 37:24Keith: personally own any right now. I own the institutions that
- 37:26Keith: are moving it and trading it and developing all of
- 37:30Keith: the institutional vehicles that trade around it, but I don't
- 37:33Keith: like it itself. So if you're going to own it,
- 37:35Keith: you want to go into the ETF that you have recommended.
- 37:40Suze: All right, and the ETF that I've recommended is IBIT, IBIT. So,
- 37:45Suze: if you wanna do Bitcoin, that's how I would do it.
- 37:48Suze: I know a lot of you like to do it,
- 37:50Suze: just buying the Bitcoin, like buying the gold, but that
- 37:54Suze: is up to you.
- 37:57Suze: Now, don't go anywhere, anybody, because what we're gonna talk
- 38:01Suze: about actually what I'm gonna talk about after we say
- 38:04Suze: goodbye to Fitzy here, is my birthday and you know Fitzy.
- 38:11Suze: I'm so much older than you. Could I be your mother?
- 38:14Suze: Is that possible?
- 38:15Keith: No, it's not possible, but we're kindred spirits.
- 38:18Suze: I could be your older sister, right?
- 38:20Keith: Bingo.
- 38:21Suze: All right, so I want to talk to you about
- 38:24Suze: other things now, just briefly about things that you may
- 38:28Suze: not want, but I am telling you you need, you need,
- 38:32Suze: and we have a special birthday pricing on it, but,
- 38:35Suze: I just want to wish you the best of luck
- 38:37Suze: with your ETF. Again, the symbol, everybody is FITZ. Your
- 38:43Suze: dollar cost averaging into it. It's about $25.26 dollars a
- 38:48Suze: share right in there. It's something I really think all
- 38:51Suze: of you should do. And again, congratulations, boyfriend.
- 38:56Keith: Thank you so very much, Suze. That's, it's a real
- 38:58Keith: humbling journey and thank you.
- 39:00Suze: Don't you just love him? I have to tell you,
- 39:03Suze: I adore that man, not just because of who he is,
- 39:07Suze: not just because I trust him, but he is just
- 39:10Suze: such a great human being. All right, next, Listen, it
- 39:15Suze: takes more than just exchange traded funds, individual stocks, bonds,
- 39:20Suze: Bitcoin for your entire financial picture to be 100% secure.
- 39:27Suze: And therefore, I wanna talk to you right now briefly
- 39:32Suze: about just a few things that every single one of
- 39:35Suze: you needs if you already don't have it. Forever I've
- 39:39Suze: been talking to you about the Must-Have Documents. What are they?
- 39:45Suze: A will, a living revocable trust, an advanced directive, a
- 39:48Suze: durable power of attorney, and a durable power of attorney
- 39:52Suze: for finances. You need them. You may not want them,
- 39:56Suze: but I promise you, you need them.
- 40:00Suze: And for years, so many of you said to me, Suze,
- 40:02Suze: we don't have the money. It's $2,500 when we go
- 40:05Suze: to a lawyer or $5,000. We just can't afford them
- 40:09Suze: and we don't even know who to go to get them.
- 40:12Suze: So for over 20 years now, these Must-Have Documents have been
- 40:17Suze: serving tens of millions of you. Now currently, if you
- 40:24Suze: were to buy them on musthavedocs.com.
- 40:29Suze: They're $99. However, it is my 75th birthday, and on
- 40:37Suze: my birthday I love to give birthday presents. In this case,
- 40:43Suze: I'm not the one giving it to you.
- 40:45Suze: Hay House is the one giving it to you since
- 40:48Suze: they control the Must-Have Documents. It is theirs now. So starting
- 40:55Suze: right here all the way through till Monday night at midnight,
- 41:01Suze: the price is $75. Now you may think that's a
- 41:07Suze: big deal going from $99 to $75. I personally do.
- 41:12Suze: However, here's what you all need to know. Sometime at
- 41:17Suze: the end of June, maybe around June 22nd, the price
- 41:21Suze: is going up to $153. So if there was ever
- 41:27Suze: a time
- 41:29Suze: that you were going to purchase the Must-Have Documents. Now is
- 41:34Suze: the time. That's all I want to say to all
- 41:37Suze: of you. So again, good in all 50 states. Updates
- 41:41Suze: are free. You can share it with family members. Are
- 41:44Suze: you kidding me? Something you should all look into.
- 41:50Suze: Next, one thing that is happening throughout the entire United
- 41:53Suze: States is all of us are being subjected to scams.
- 41:58Suze: You know, it used to be
- 42:00Suze: identity theft protection. That's what we cared about. We got
- 42:04Suze: this one and that one. We protected our identity. But
- 42:08Suze: then the scammers went beyond stealing our identity. Who cares
- 42:13Suze: about our identity when they can steal our money? And
- 42:17Suze: how do they do that? They come directly into your
- 42:20Suze: home via email, however it may be, and they connect
- 42:25Suze: with you. And before you know it.
- 42:27Suze: You have been subjected to a scam. You're investing in something.
- 42:31Suze: They got your money. They pretended that your daughter or
- 42:34Suze: somebody was in an accident. Happens every way possible. But
- 42:40Suze: here's what's so sad identity theft doesn't solve that problem
- 42:44Suze: for you. You need a product. You need protection
- 42:50Suze: within that product so that if you are scammed or
- 42:54Suze: let's say you suffer a fraud, somebody actually did something
- 42:58Suze: to you and it wasn't even real. Sometimes it's known
- 43:01Suze: as a scam sometimes people call it frauds, all right,
- 43:04Suze: whatever it may be, you need your money back if
- 43:08Suze: you lost money. So about a year or two ago
- 43:12Suze: I started to work with a very well renowned company
- 43:16Suze: called Who Nord. All right.
- 43:19Suze: And together we created what's called the Ultimate Scam Protection. Now,
- 43:25Suze: let me tell you briefly how it works. If you
- 43:28Suze: suffer the loss of money online.
- 43:33Suze: Then in the majority of cases they will replace up
- 43:38Suze: to $100,000 of any amount of money that you lost
- 43:43Suze: with a scam that started online. Of course this product
- 43:48Suze: also has identity theft protection because you all want it.
- 43:52Suze: It has cyber attack protection. It has so many things
- 43:55Suze: in it, it's not even funny.
- 43:58Suze: But it's something that I really think every single one
- 44:02Suze: of you needs to get. I have it. KT has it,
- 44:07Suze: every one of you. So in the same way that
- 44:10Suze: all of you need the Must-Have Documents, you all need
- 44:14Suze: the Ultimate Scam Protection.
- 44:16Suze: Now normally it's $95.88 and that's per person. There isn't
- 44:24Suze: family plans or anything. Every individual needs it. So if
- 44:28Suze: you're married, you both need it, for instance. However, today
- 44:34Suze: all the way through till Monday midnight Pacific time.
- 44:39Suze: It's $75 so if I were you, I would so
- 44:45Suze: take advantage of those two offerings right now. It's not
- 44:49Suze: even funny. And last but not least is the Ultimate
- 44:53Suze: Retirement Guide for 50+. Listen, it's still $10.
- 44:58Suze: And the reason that it's $10 it's, it's, it's hardback.
- 45:02Suze: We pay for shipping. We can't go any lower than
- 45:05Suze: that because nobody's making any money on it, but if
- 45:08Suze: you are 50 or older, you wanna know a plan
- 45:12Suze: how to live an ultimate retirement, that is the guide
- 45:16Suze: for you. So those are the three things that I
- 45:20Suze: want all of you to consider purchasing before the deadline
- 45:25Suze: Monday when?
- 45:28Suze: Midnight Pacific time. So that look into FITZ and to
- 45:33Suze: all of you, there's only one thing that I want
- 45:35Suze: you to remember when it comes to your money, and
- 45:37Suze: it is this people first, then money, then things. Now
- 45:41Suze: you stay safe.
- 45:43Suze: Bye bye.
