- 0:02Speaker 1: Hey, what up boxing fans. This is the Rope of
- 0:05Speaker 1: Dope radio podcast. I am your host, Chris Carlson here
- 0:08Speaker 1: live on a Wednesday night. Life got in the way
- 0:11Speaker 1: last night. What are you gonna do? Man? We got
- 0:15Speaker 1: a lot to talk about from last weekend, where we'll
- 0:19Speaker 1: start with the paida Farmer, a very competitive fight. We'll
- 0:24Speaker 1: go round by round with that, same with Mayor and Ryan.
- 0:27Speaker 1: We'll talk about some of the undercard action as well.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Both Shoeshoe Carrington and Norman Junior were successful and very
- 0:38Speaker 1: very good performances by then. And then of course we'll
- 0:41Speaker 1: look towards the weekend, busy weekend on Pro Box, Amazon,
- 0:48Speaker 1: ESPN Plus, picking a couple upsets in there, Hergovic and
- 0:56Speaker 1: Joyce and Tim Zu and Joey Spencer. Although, like Torres
- 1:00Speaker 1: and Guido, is very much a big test for Torres,
- 1:05Speaker 1: Tim Zuo and Joe Joyce have some questions that need
- 1:09Speaker 1: to be answered. Obviously, especially Joe Joyce, but really both
- 1:13Speaker 1: of them. I say Joe Joyce just because of his age,
- 1:17Speaker 1: but Tim Zuo obviously needs not only a win, but
- 1:22Speaker 1: it needs to be you know, pretty clean, pretty clean.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Then let's let's put it that way. We'll also cover
- 1:30Speaker 1: some some fight news. Steven Fulton, who will he fight next?
- 1:36Speaker 1: If you haven't check it out, you should. Brunch Boxing
- 1:40Speaker 1: did an in depth interview with Stephen Fulton. Should definitely
- 1:43Speaker 1: check that out. Is he gonna fight Ray Vargas? Is
- 1:47Speaker 1: he gonna fight Oshaki Foster? Shoeshoot Carrington is at least
- 1:51Speaker 1: in the mix, and then you know, we'll talk other
- 1:57Speaker 1: fight news. There is some fight news. It looks like
- 1:59Speaker 1: we have some opponents for the Caleb Plant Jermal Charlow
- 2:05Speaker 1: co feature. I guess you could say so, Yeah, we'll
- 2:10Speaker 1: talk all about it. If it's your first time listening

- 3:14Speaker 1: and sixty channels one oh four ninety nine per month.
- 3:19Speaker 1: All right, so let's get in to what happened over
- 3:25Speaker 1: the weekend. Farmer put on another great performance considering where
- 3:34Speaker 1: he's at. You know in his career. Zepata was very
- 3:40Speaker 1: active in the fight. He did some things better than
- 3:44Speaker 1: he did in the first fight. I will say that.
- 3:47Speaker 1: But also it's kind of starting to see a ceiling
- 3:51Speaker 1: when it comes to him. I would say, my personal opinion,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I think we're starting to see a ceiling. Could be
- 4:00Speaker 1: just the style. Obviously, Farmers not easy to face. He's
- 4:04Speaker 1: very difficult. I hate to say the word easy. He's
- 4:07Speaker 1: very difficult. He's got a tough style. You know, he
- 4:11Speaker 1: did get the dub. But you know, how confident am
- 4:15Speaker 1: I that they're gonna match him with Chaquie Stevenson next,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I will say this that Eddie Hearn's
- 4:26Speaker 1: actually came out and said, ch of course Stevenson his way,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know, would be willing to be on the on
- 4:32Speaker 1: the on the bench, on the sidelines until Gervonte and
- 4:35Speaker 1: Lamont roach fight that the rematch is done, and then
- 4:38Speaker 1: faced him later this year. So I don't even know
- 4:41Speaker 1: if they're looking to fight ze Pata and obviously ed
- 4:45Speaker 1: Eddie Hearn think it's only a two fight deal. So yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 1: you'd rather you know, he'd rather get the purse for that.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Then well, you know Zipata that that's gonna be a
- 4:58Speaker 1: healthy person too, because more likely anyway it would be
- 5:03Speaker 1: on a Sadi car, So who knows. But either way,
- 5:07Speaker 1: I thought the first round was very close. I thought
- 5:13Speaker 1: Zippota kind of landed, you know, did some work early
- 5:17Speaker 1: in that round. He was busy. He was busier, i
- 5:20Speaker 1: should say, throughout the fight. Obviously a jeb in a
- 5:25Speaker 1: few decent lands from Farmer. I thought the first round
- 5:27Speaker 1: was really close. I did give Zipata round two. The
- 5:33Speaker 1: body attack was just too much. I thought it looked
- 5:36Speaker 1: like looked like Farmer was hurt. Then there may have
- 5:42Speaker 1: been an injury right there. They talked about how it
- 5:45Speaker 1: may have been an elbow that he got hit on
- 5:47Speaker 1: the elbow in a bad spot. But they're also talking
- 5:49Speaker 1: about it, you know, being a forearm, and then they
- 5:52Speaker 1: turned it into a hand, So I really don't. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: don't know the way he thought. It didn't seem like
- 6:01Speaker 1: that injury, you know, had a huge bearing on the fight.
- 6:06Speaker 1: But you know, we'll see if he shattered his hand
- 6:09Speaker 1: or something like that and couldn't use it at all,
- 6:12Speaker 1: well then that would be different. But I did give
- 6:17Speaker 1: Farma the third I thought he was landing the cleaner
- 6:20Speaker 1: shots in that round. Zippot it once again early in
- 6:25Speaker 1: the fourth round with the body punching with under a
- 6:29Speaker 1: minute left, there was a really nice left uppercut something
- 6:32Speaker 1: that Farmer landed throughout the fight. I mean, there's the
- 6:37Speaker 1: problem with people saying Farmer got robbed this time is
- 6:42Speaker 1: you can't go the period of time, the long stretches
- 6:47Speaker 1: where you're not answering back.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Now, don't get me wrong, he'd be on the rope
- 6:52Speaker 2: and or just getting hit a lot in a row,
- 6:55Speaker 2: not answering back the refs even looking at him, and
- 6:57Speaker 2: then later he wouldn't land he jeppercut to to not
- 7:02Speaker 2: have the fight stopped.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But you also can't just give up that much of
- 7:09Speaker 1: the round, So it's kind of a funky way this
- 7:12Speaker 1: fight played out. I did give Zepa, like I said,
- 7:15Speaker 1: the fourth, in the fifth the body in the head,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and there was times in that fifth round where he
- 7:21Speaker 1: wasn't firing back until that clean leper cup left upper
- 7:25Speaker 1: cut leprecum lepercut. That's that. I suppose that would be
- 7:30Speaker 1: the best punched for a leprecaun. Okay, I'll stop, But
- 7:34Speaker 1: then I thought Varmer bounce back really nice, more of
- 7:38Speaker 1: those left uppercuts, hooks, straight lefts as well, really nice
- 7:42Speaker 1: straight lefts. He did bring in kind of the right
- 7:45Speaker 1: hook more and more in the second half of the fight.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So I did give Farmer the sixth. The seventh I
- 7:53Speaker 1: thought was really the seventh and eighth I thought were
- 7:56Speaker 1: really close. I kind of mixed and matched them and
- 8:00Speaker 1: Farmer both got that. You know, Farmer definitely landing the
- 8:04Speaker 1: jab really well and left hands to the head in
- 8:09Speaker 1: the body. And you know, Zapota I thought closed pretty
- 8:14Speaker 1: well in the seventh, But both of those rounds it
- 8:20Speaker 1: was close. I'll just say that I did give ze
- 8:23Speaker 1: PoTA the ninth, but it wasn't confident you know, early
- 8:27Speaker 1: in midway he did really well, but then you know,
- 8:34Speaker 1: like down the stretch, big left hands for Farmer. So
- 8:40Speaker 1: I don't know, it was a close round. It was
- 8:43Speaker 1: a close round and there was plenty of close rounds.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I gave Farmer the tenth the stick and move with
- 8:50Speaker 1: clean shots. I thought he finished better once again the jab,
- 8:54Speaker 1: the upper cut going to the body as well, whereas
- 8:58Speaker 1: Pat in the tenth round just kind of busy earlier
- 9:01Speaker 1: in that round. The eleventh was two way round. Man,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I just think Zepot of outworked them and landed the
- 9:11Speaker 1: better overall shot within the round. But the combinations and
- 9:15Speaker 1: definitely Farmer had success in in spots in that round,
- 9:19Speaker 1: especially late. Then I gave Farmer the twelfth. Farmer, it
- 9:26Speaker 1: was like a left that you know, could have been
- 9:31Speaker 1: a knockdown either way. They they definitely didn't, you know,
- 9:38Speaker 1: they didn't They didn't call it, and they pot of
- 9:42Speaker 1: landed some hooks to the head and body. But I
- 9:44Speaker 1: thought overall several hard punches landed from Farmer. So I
- 9:49Speaker 1: gave that Farmer. I gave him the round and that
- 9:51Speaker 1: would have been happy with six six that wouldn't have
- 9:53Speaker 1: been a problem. I did have it seven to five
- 9:58Speaker 1: and at the end of it, the DJ, I'll tell
- 10:01Speaker 1: you what the look of it like the picture, I
- 10:06Speaker 1: guess you could say the imagery. It didn't look good.
- 10:09Speaker 1: The lighting was and I hate to say the lighting,
- 10:12Speaker 1: but the the sound in the in the camera like
- 10:18Speaker 1: it just it wasn't there was something wrong with the video.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Didn't look right. Let's just put it that way. It
- 10:26Speaker 1: just didn't look right. And the sound was pretty shitty, right,
- 10:31Speaker 1: But that DJ was doing his thing, okay, you know
- 10:36Speaker 1: at the end of the fight that the DJ just
- 10:38Speaker 1: killing the game throughout the rounds uh. And I think
- 10:42Speaker 1: it was almost all the plia almost alaa uh. I
- 10:47Speaker 1: think that's what it finished with. So the DJ killed
- 10:50Speaker 1: the game. But yeah, the look of it, like I said,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm not trying to get too technical here, but you know,
- 10:57Speaker 1: if you know, it just the picture looked like shit,
- 11:01Speaker 1: it looked very it didn't look good. Let's just put
- 11:05Speaker 1: it that way. So two judges. One had at one
- 11:08Speaker 1: fifteen one thirteen, excuse me, one had at one sixteen,
- 11:12Speaker 1: one twelve, and then one fourteen one fourteen. So I
- 11:17Speaker 1: was kind of in that realm of you know, a
- 11:21Speaker 1: draw or a nice close victory for Zepata, But like
- 11:28Speaker 1: I said, Zepata, I don't know. I mean, he landed
- 11:32Speaker 1: plenty of hard shots in in some of those close rounds.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Like I guess said, many of them were close. I
- 11:42Speaker 1: still think Zepota won, though you know, he landed three
- 11:45Speaker 1: hundred and forty four to one fifty two. You know,
- 11:49Speaker 1: he almost threw a thousand punches. He landed one hundred
- 11:52Speaker 1: and thirty shots to forty three to the body, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know, even when you look at the jabs, you
- 11:59Speaker 1: know he doubled them up jabs too. So yeah, I
- 12:04Speaker 1: just thought he won the fight. I thought it was
- 12:06Speaker 1: very competitive. If they called it a draw, I wouldn't
- 12:08Speaker 1: be freaking out. But I did think it was seven
- 12:12Speaker 1: to five. I guess I was okay with the eight
- 12:16Speaker 1: to four, but the minimum, or I guess I could
- 12:22Speaker 1: say the max I could go as a draw. I
- 12:24Speaker 1: didn't really have Farmer winning seven rounds at all, to
- 12:28Speaker 1: be honest. But that's not to take anything away from Farmer.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It just styles make fights sometimes. And although like I said,
- 12:42Speaker 1: I just don't think you can go that long where
- 12:47Speaker 1: you're taking shots within around and you're not firing back enough.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So if you land this huge uppercut to close the round,
- 12:57Speaker 1: that's great, man, but it's still it's still probably not enough,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean? But yeah, it was. It
- 13:08Speaker 1: was a damn good fight. And I don't know what
- 13:11Speaker 1: they're gonna do. Was they bought them next? I really don't.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I mean, I think you know, Farmer has pretty damn
- 13:21Speaker 1: good defense. Char Coors is better or is just a
- 13:25Speaker 1: better fighter than Farmer. So I think it's a really
- 13:30Speaker 1: bad style mat job. Now. You know, you could also say, well,
- 13:37Speaker 1: what fight that he's actually gonna get is gonna pay
- 13:41Speaker 1: him that much? And then how much like if you
- 13:47Speaker 1: lose to Chakor, is it really gonna hurt you all
- 13:49Speaker 1: that much? You know? Really? I mean, so maybe you're thinking, man,
- 13:54Speaker 1: you had two tough fights with Farmer, you might as well,
- 13:58Speaker 1: in a sense cash him out. I hate to say
- 14:01Speaker 1: after one loss to Chakora though, that oh his career
- 14:04Speaker 1: is over. I just think we're finding a ceiling. And
- 14:06Speaker 1: there's nothing wrong with that, right, there's nothing wrong with
- 14:10Speaker 1: where his ceiling's at. It appears anyway, if you want
- 14:14Speaker 1: to keep him undefeated or whatever, you're probably gonna have
- 14:17Speaker 1: to match him they or not probably you're gonna have
- 14:19Speaker 1: to match him differently than that. Oscar Colazzo also one
- 14:27Speaker 1: on the fight you'll cost A Vaya and Marlon A. Sparsa.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Who did I don't think she made weight if I
- 14:39Speaker 1: remember correctly, it was a competitive fight. It took a
- 14:44Speaker 1: little while to get competitive. I think that was the problem,
- 14:48Speaker 1: uh Vaa for me. One, let me see, she won
- 14:52Speaker 1: the first five six rounds, so in a ten round
- 14:57Speaker 1: fight right then and there, and then you'll cost I
- 15:01Speaker 1: thought won the last rounds, so you know that pretty
- 15:04Speaker 1: much that did it. It was a split decision. Actually,
- 15:07Speaker 1: let me check the scores real quick, ninety seven ninety
- 15:11Speaker 1: three to two both for Vaya in the ninety six
- 15:13Speaker 1: ninety four for Asparsa. But I thought Vya won the fight.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I thought Yokosta did get that win. I just think
- 15:23Speaker 1: it was a little too late for Asparsa to lose
- 15:27Speaker 1: the first five six rounds and then be like, all right,
- 15:30Speaker 1: here we go. You know, I just I did. I
- 15:33Speaker 1: couldn't give it to her, but let's put it that way.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Onto the MICHAELA. Mayer, Sandy Ryan. This kind of had
- 15:44Speaker 1: the same vibe, Sandy Ryan. A little too late. She
- 15:50Speaker 1: did good but a little too late. I'm not saying
- 15:52Speaker 1: that she didn't win any rounds in the first six.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I thought the second and third were close. I gave
- 16:00Speaker 1: Andy Ryan the third, but I she was up on
- 16:05Speaker 1: my scorecards Meyer five to one. After six. She was
- 16:11Speaker 1: jabbing really well, per usual. She was landing these quick
- 16:14Speaker 1: little or throwing in landing at times these little decent
- 16:19Speaker 1: shots like two punch combos. The second round, though, I
- 16:24Speaker 1: did think, was very close. I kind of thought Meyer's
- 16:27Speaker 1: jab won it because she landed the more solid jab.
- 16:31Speaker 1: But in the third Meyer did land late, but over
- 16:34Speaker 1: all the right hands, whether it was lead or counter.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I gave the third to Sandy Ryan. The fourth jabs
- 16:41Speaker 1: and hooks and some late left hooks in a nice
- 16:46Speaker 1: right hand by Ryan. I don't think it was enough
- 16:48Speaker 1: to get that round. The fifth round Meyer again, like
- 16:50Speaker 1: I said, left hooks to the head, hooks to the
- 16:53Speaker 1: body with both hands, and she had her moments in
- 16:59Speaker 1: that you know that round. In the fifth round landed
- 17:02Speaker 1: to big right hand or whatever, but hard combinations, hooks
- 17:06Speaker 1: and uppercuts. In the sixth I did now it was
- 17:10Speaker 1: a competitive round, but I thought it was a nice
- 17:14Speaker 1: bounce back round for Ryan. Because the fifth and the
- 17:18Speaker 1: sixth to me were starting to go kind of one way.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So I thought that was a good bounce back. The
- 17:24Speaker 1: eighth that's up in the air. It was a great
- 17:27Speaker 1: back and forth round, and honestly, like in the ninth round,
- 17:32Speaker 1: really fun exchanges early in that ninth round, whether it
- 17:36Speaker 1: was to the body or their head. I just thought
- 17:38Speaker 1: Mikayla landed the better shots in the ninth. In the tents,
- 17:43Speaker 1: I mean these I always say, bombs away. Yeah, these
- 17:47Speaker 1: two were going at it, two way traffic, you know,
- 17:52Speaker 1: just the fun, fun round. I gave it to Mikayla though,
- 17:56Speaker 1: So yeah, seven five, six four, maybe six three. One
- 18:00Speaker 1: of those who like to score that way. Ninety seven
- 18:03Speaker 1: ninety three, two cards in ninety eight ninety two. Mayor,
- 18:07Speaker 1: like I said in my book, clearly won the fight.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I didn't think there was any kind of dispute to
- 18:13Speaker 1: be had in my opinion. And you know, she did
- 18:18Speaker 1: talk about fighting Price next. I saw on Boxing Scene
- 18:25Speaker 1: Jake Donovan had an article there about it, and I
- 18:29Speaker 1: think that is the fight to make, you know, I
- 18:31Speaker 1: think that's a I think that's the fight to make
- 18:34Speaker 1: going forward. She talks about finishing the uh finishing the
- 18:39Speaker 1: deal at one forty seven. Let me just get a
- 18:43Speaker 1: little sip of water, so shoeshoe. You know, he was, uh,
- 18:51Speaker 1: he was. He looked really good. He looked really good.
- 18:57Speaker 1: You know, he landed these hooks and upper cuts. I
- 19:01Speaker 1: want to say it was a left upper cut. I
- 19:03Speaker 1: can't remember, but he was off the ropes, landed it
- 19:08Speaker 1: and knocked him down and it was it was beautiful
- 19:11Speaker 1: combination and and just just a series of just lots
- 19:16Speaker 1: of right hands after that. You know, he was just
- 19:19Speaker 1: going for it. So he had Vivas out in the
- 19:23Speaker 1: third round, very very very good performance by Bruce Carrington.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Vargas scored a knockout as well. Johnson, you know, landed
- 19:37Speaker 1: really good to the body. That's where he stopped that dude.
- 19:42Speaker 1: And the left hooks and straight right hands from Brian
- 19:46Speaker 1: Norman Junior forre what basically took Quebos or Quebos out
- 19:51Speaker 1: of that fight. It was it was pretty one sided obviously.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I mean I don't know. I mean, you could, like
- 20:00Speaker 1: the first round you could give to Quevas, but other
- 20:04Speaker 1: than that, you know, that was I mean it only
- 20:07Speaker 1: went what three rounds, so but you had the uh
- 20:10Speaker 1: not he hurt him, and it got to the point
- 20:12Speaker 1: where you could see dude didn't want to Dude didn't
- 20:16Speaker 1: want to continue. So left hooks, straight, right hands. Norman
- 20:20Speaker 1: Junior looks really good, and so you know, it is
- 20:27Speaker 1: nice for him to get a fight in. You know,
- 20:30Speaker 1: he obviously he had that injury. So shoot, I mean,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I think he last fought last May, if I remember correctly,
- 20:40Speaker 1: May or June. I think it was May, and you know,
- 20:44Speaker 1: like he needed to get a fight obviously, the the
- 20:49Speaker 1: the Tayo Fema Lopez stuff where he didn't end up
- 20:52Speaker 1: getting that fight or or was it Boots it was Boots, No,
- 20:57Speaker 1: it's I can't remember, No, it was boots, it was boots.
- 21:02Speaker 1: It was what was at one point seventy he wanted
- 21:04Speaker 1: two mil. And yeah, you could say Eddie could have
- 21:06Speaker 1: just went, you know, and gave him a couple more
- 21:09Speaker 1: hundred thousand, But he could also taken that fight and
- 21:12Speaker 1: always said that. I guess you could say, like similar
- 21:17Speaker 1: to the Frank Martin scenario, like he didn't fight Shakur,
- 21:22Speaker 1: he asked for a little bit more money, but then again,
- 21:25Speaker 1: he had the Gervante fight, not that it was signed,
- 21:29Speaker 1: but he had that option available to him, which ultimately
- 21:32Speaker 1: became available to him. So that was a good move
- 21:35Speaker 1: because now at some point he can fight Shakor you know. Anyway,
- 21:39Speaker 1: So we'll see with Brian Norman Jr. Now we've heard
- 21:44Speaker 1: this PBC top rank. I'm not going to say in agreement,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but they are more open, you know, to work now.
- 21:54Speaker 1: They've worked here and there, but it seems like they're
- 21:58Speaker 1: now open to work even more now. So you know,
- 22:04Speaker 1: I don't know the tale Fema Lopez fight. I doubt
- 22:07Speaker 1: he gets that because he's just not in the plans
- 22:10Speaker 1: for that. If you look at you know, the Saudi
- 22:16Speaker 1: Arabia card. You know, if in fact, you know, Tayo
- 22:22Speaker 1: Femo does win that fight, which you can't just give
- 22:25Speaker 1: it to him. If he wins in May, they want
- 22:30Speaker 1: they want to put Boots in tail Femo, you know,
- 22:33Speaker 1: in the ring. Now. I guess if Boots says, now,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm good as long as he beats Stantonius obviously next week,
- 22:44Speaker 1: you know who knows. I guess maybe he'd maybe he
- 22:48Speaker 1: wants to get all the belts. You know, he did
- 22:51Speaker 1: say he wanted to be undisputed at least a unification,
- 22:56Speaker 1: so he's he might get the unification if he was not,
- 22:59Speaker 1: might he He's gonna get it if he wins. But yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 1: we'll see, we'll see how that goes. I don't I
- 23:08Speaker 1: don't know, man, I really don't know if that well,
- 23:14Speaker 1: we'll see how that goes. But you know, Mario Barrios
- 23:19Speaker 1: would be a good fight for him and people will
- 23:25Speaker 1: That's another thing where it is a unification. It's a
- 23:27Speaker 1: good fight. I don't look at it as like, dude,
- 23:30Speaker 1: they're unifying belts, bro, this is huge, you know, but
- 23:34Speaker 1: it is at the weight plus it's it's a good fight.
- 23:37Speaker 1: It is a good fight. So maybe that's what he'll
- 23:40Speaker 1: get in the next fight. We'll see. We'll see how
- 23:46Speaker 1: how that, you know, plays out this weekend. Like I said,
- 23:50Speaker 1: ESPN Plus, Amazon and pro Box are kind of the
- 23:54Speaker 1: ones that I would highlight. H And as I mentioned
- 24:01Speaker 1: Tim Zoo and Joe Joyce, they are although Joe Joyce
- 24:06Speaker 1: is way older and all that, but they are like
- 24:11Speaker 1: in a funky spot I guess you could say of
- 24:13Speaker 1: their career. Now, technically, Joe Joyce is fighting a better opponent.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I mean, he is the underdog in that fight, so
- 24:24Speaker 1: he's definitely, you know, fighting the better opponent, whereas Spencer's
- 24:28Speaker 1: more of like a plus five hundred upwards of plus
- 24:31Speaker 1: six twenty the last time I checked. So, like I said,
- 24:35Speaker 1: he's got a less difficult opponent to face, but still
- 24:40Speaker 1: he needs to he needs to look the part like
- 24:43Speaker 1: he did. And when it comes to this fight, I
- 24:52Speaker 1: think although some I've heard some folks talk about, and
- 24:56Speaker 1: I can see this, like Joey Spencer's going to test
- 24:59Speaker 1: Tim Zuo, like test his chin, test his mental capacity.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I guess you could say right now, maybe not capacity,
- 25:06Speaker 1: He's not the right word, but you know, see where
- 25:08Speaker 1: his mental's at, Like have you recovered fully? Are you
- 25:13Speaker 1: the same fire you were a year ago? Before twenty
- 25:17Speaker 1: twenty four even happened. And I did kind of think
- 25:23Speaker 1: that he just got hit with the shot he couldn't
- 25:26Speaker 1: recover from and the he chose to try to recover
- 25:31Speaker 1: by brawling, not that had he held on that he
- 25:36Speaker 1: would have made it out of that fight. I'm not
- 25:38Speaker 1: saying that it just didn't look like he was gonna
- 25:41Speaker 1: make it out of that fight. But the he did
- 25:47Speaker 1: check early in the fight the top, you know, for
- 25:50Speaker 1: a cut, right, but it wasn't something he did. Some
- 25:54Speaker 1: people were making it out like he was checking the
- 25:57Speaker 1: top of his head like every ten seconds of the
- 25:59Speaker 1: fighter or something, and I you know, and I'm not
- 26:02Speaker 1: saying they said ten seconds, but they made it sound
- 26:05Speaker 1: like he kept doing it the whole fight and it
- 26:08Speaker 1: was like fifteen different times or something he did it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: But I don't think that played the factor. I really don't.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I think it was just a cut in that fight
- 26:20Speaker 1: with Fendora that bled into his eyes and his corner
- 26:24Speaker 1: really failed him. He showed heart by fighting the rest
- 26:27Speaker 1: of that fight. He got beat. I didn't look at
- 26:31Speaker 1: it as that big of a deal. But when you
- 26:35Speaker 1: get stopped and hurt, and even that interview after where
- 26:39Speaker 1: he's just kind of dazed and confused, you know that,
- 26:42Speaker 1: that's where you're like, hmmm. I think I hope he's okay.
- 26:47Speaker 1: So he has had some time off at least, and
- 26:50Speaker 1: I think Joey Spencer, who can back to my main point.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Some people are saying he's gonna go forward right away
- 26:56Speaker 1: and test him. That may be the choice. I don't
- 27:01Speaker 1: see Spencer just trying to light him up right away
- 27:04Speaker 1: and be like irresponsible. I think it's gonna be a
- 27:07Speaker 1: because I think it's gonna be slow to begin with,
- 27:10Speaker 1: Joey Spencer is a guy who can jab, He can
- 27:14Speaker 1: move on the outside, he can fight at range, he
- 27:16Speaker 1: can potshot, and when he was a youngster coming up,
- 27:23Speaker 1: he he kind of fell in love with his power
- 27:25Speaker 1: at times instead of being a little bit more active.
- 27:34Speaker 1: So I think tim Zu is going to I think
- 27:36Speaker 1: this fight will be a little bit more in the
- 27:39Speaker 1: either in the middle of the ring or with tim
- 27:42Speaker 1: Zuo coming forward but with his high guard using his jab,
- 27:47Speaker 1: going to the body like doing getting back to the
- 27:50Speaker 1: fundamentals instead of I really just thought tim Zu was
- 27:55Speaker 1: was irresponsible in that fight that he got knocked out.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I just I just do and he even said as much.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So so I think tim Zu will responsibly come forward.
- 28:10Speaker 1: It's not to say he's not gonna get hit, because
- 28:12Speaker 1: he will. The way we get to find out, we
- 28:14Speaker 1: get to find out exactly where he's at. And you know,
- 28:19Speaker 1: because from the sounds of it, even though said I
- 28:22Speaker 1: think it was fight hub, he was trying to ignore
- 28:25Speaker 1: it in a sense of hey man, I'm not looking
- 28:27Speaker 1: I'm not looking past anybody, you know, But it does
- 28:32Speaker 1: seem like, you know, in a matter of like a
- 28:37Speaker 1: little over two months, well by the time we get
- 28:38Speaker 1: to the fight two months or three months April May
- 28:43Speaker 1: Junior that Keith Thurman's next. So I do think he'll win.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I think he'll win by Yunanum's decision. I don't think
- 28:53Speaker 1: he stops Joey Spencer just because I think I think
- 28:56Speaker 1: he's capable of it. But I think the combination to
- 28:59Speaker 1: him a little bit more responsible on the offensive side,
- 29:05Speaker 1: enjoy Spencer's ability, you know, to move some Now obviously,
- 29:13Speaker 1: you know, Spencer did get stopped against Ramos Junior, so
- 29:18Speaker 1: he could definitely get stopped. I'm just thinking tim Zuo's
- 29:21Speaker 1: going to I think he'll get going. But I but
- 29:27Speaker 1: as far as landing big big shots and going for
- 29:30Speaker 1: the knockout, I just think it'll take longer than it
- 29:33Speaker 1: probably would have before his last fight. That's just my opinion.
- 29:39Speaker 1: So I have him by you know, decision, not not
- 29:41Speaker 1: going on the limb there, but I do want to
- 29:43Speaker 1: see how he looks. You know that that's a key,
- 29:47Speaker 1: that's the key to the whole thing. And then you know,
- 29:57Speaker 1: there is actually some other under cards that we'll talk
- 30:00Speaker 1: about just in general. But Hergavic enjoys obviously this is
- 30:03Speaker 1: supposed to be Dillian White. He injured his hand, so
- 30:08Speaker 1: he's out right, and it's it's a big proving spot
- 30:15Speaker 1: for him. You know. Hergavic is a guy who you
- 30:20Speaker 1: know has a good jab. We saw the jab right
- 30:23Speaker 1: hand and then just so many right hands in a
- 30:26Speaker 1: short amount of time that Daniel du Bois took from
- 30:31Speaker 1: him and it looked like, man, he's gonna murder him,
- 30:33Speaker 1: you know. And but to his credit du Bois, he
- 30:37Speaker 1: somehow you know, walked through that and and he ended
- 30:42Speaker 1: up getting stopped. And we've seen him, meaning Hergovic, we've
- 30:49Speaker 1: seen him like start really fast, right and even McKean
- 30:57Speaker 1: had a little I had some success. You know. It's
- 31:00Speaker 1: not like it was an eleven one fight. Well actually
- 31:03Speaker 1: was like I think it was a stoppage of the twelfth,
- 31:05Speaker 1: but let's say ten to one, you know. But Zang,
- 31:10Speaker 1: you know that Zang fight. Ergavic showed a lot there
- 31:17Speaker 1: because he got put on his ass, he was hurt,
- 31:20Speaker 1: he looked really really bad. But Zang gassed out. So
- 31:26Speaker 1: this is this is really interesting because we know Joyce
- 31:29Speaker 1: is coming forward. We know the jab in the right
- 31:32Speaker 1: hand is what Hervic's gonna hit him with. Now, prior
- 31:37Speaker 1: to what two years ago, twenty twenty three. Prior to that,
- 31:43Speaker 1: I would have picked Joyce because I thought, you know,
- 31:47Speaker 1: I mean shitty held up to de Boan, some other punchers,
- 31:51Speaker 1: but especially Dubois. I would have thought, all right, this
- 31:54Speaker 1: is gonna play out similar to the Dubois fight, you know.
- 31:58Speaker 1: But it's just he's so joy so slow man, and
- 32:06Speaker 1: he's older now, and I just don't know if he
- 32:11Speaker 1: has enough in the tank too. It is a ten rounder,
- 32:14Speaker 1: if I remember correctly. I'm don't check on that. I'm
- 32:16Speaker 1: pretty sure it's a ten rounder. Yeah, it's a ten rounder.
- 32:20Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go Hergavic by decision, you know, Hergevic actually,
- 32:32Speaker 1: like if you look at knockout, like you get better
- 32:39Speaker 1: odds by decision with Hergevic, so, you know, because it's
- 32:44Speaker 1: a plus number by decision. So I don't know. I
- 32:48Speaker 1: think he's gonna go by decision. But then again, twelve
- 32:52Speaker 1: full rounds with all those right hands, like maybe not.
- 32:56Speaker 1: You know, either way, I got Hergovic winning the fight.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Something tells me Joyce is gonna I don't know. I
- 33:06Speaker 1: just think he'll he'll land enough to where Hergovic may
- 33:09Speaker 1: not go nuts with the right hands. I don't know, man,
- 33:13Speaker 1: it's it's it's a weird one because you know, let's
- 33:16Speaker 1: not forget Hergovic is coming off of stoppage too, so
- 33:21Speaker 1: this could be the beginning his downfall and we don't
- 33:24Speaker 1: necessarily even know it. So I think that plays into
- 33:29Speaker 1: it a little bit. But either way, I see Philip Hergovic,
- 33:33Speaker 1: you know, walking away with the victory because yeah, we
- 33:38Speaker 1: we just can't forget what happened in his last fight.
- 33:43Speaker 1: You know that that could play into being an issue basically,
- 33:49Speaker 1: that could that could you know, that could add something
- 33:52Speaker 1: to it where you know, mentally he's just not all
- 33:55Speaker 1: the way there, or if something does happen normally in
- 33:58Speaker 1: the fight, he gets hurt. Like I said, he's not
- 34:01Speaker 1: in the best shape. He gases, So I don't know.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I think it's a very interesting fight. I thought Million
- 34:08Speaker 1: White because of his age and obviously Joyce, I really
- 34:13Speaker 1: like that fight. This car got a little mixed up obviously,
- 34:16Speaker 1: you know, from injuries, but you know it is what
- 34:19Speaker 1: it is. Ben Crocker and Tierman Bradley, that's a close fight.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I saw a couple people talking about Ben Crocker, He's
- 34:31Speaker 1: gonna pull up the upset. He's like a plus one
- 34:34Speaker 1: eighty eight plus one eighty two in that range. Jeanna
- 34:39Speaker 1: Beck does have a fight, by the way, you know it.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I gotta admit it. It's it's pretty nondescript. I'm not
- 34:51Speaker 1: trying to rip him or anything like that, but I
- 34:56Speaker 1: look for him to win pretty cleanly, you know what
- 34:59Speaker 1: I mean. I don't I'm not going to break down
- 35:01Speaker 1: that fight all that much. You know, he's facing a
- 35:05Speaker 1: guy who is you know, it just it is what
- 35:10Speaker 1: it is, man. It's not something that I don't know.
- 35:15Speaker 1: The guy's is like I think it's like a plus
- 35:18Speaker 1: six hundred. So it's not like the worst we've seen
- 35:21Speaker 1: even on that card. You know, we've seen a lot worse.
- 35:24Speaker 1: But I don't know. I just I don't think he'll
- 35:28Speaker 1: have much of a problem. I think Jadda Beck will
- 35:30Speaker 1: do his thing. I think that that's pretty obvious. There's
- 35:35Speaker 1: also Magid and Murphy. That's a very closely matched fight.
- 35:45Speaker 1: What else we got here? So right now, Joyce went
- 35:51Speaker 1: up a little bit from the last time I checked
- 35:53Speaker 1: I saw. I've seen him in the high to two hundreds,
- 35:56Speaker 1: but I see a plus three hundred plus two seventy five. Yeah,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I mean I would. I think Joyce the only way
- 36:07Speaker 1: he's gonna win is by knockout, So I would put
- 36:09Speaker 1: something on the plus number that's even higher than that
- 36:11Speaker 1: if you're gonna if you think Joyce is gonna win,
- 36:16Speaker 1: because I've saw I saw it for like plus three
- 36:18Speaker 1: hundred and plus four hundred by knockouts, so h you know,
- 36:23Speaker 1: something too, uh something to think about now. I do
- 36:27Speaker 1: like this card doough on ESPN plus. I think it's
- 36:33Speaker 1: once in Vegas from the poems, I believe. But there's
- 36:37Speaker 1: a couple fights here that I'm really interested in. Richard
- 36:41Speaker 1: Torres Junior taking him Guido Yanello Hyah Bianello. I think
- 36:49Speaker 1: that's what it is. You know, he had a closed
- 36:52Speaker 1: fight last year with the Jagma, him and Rice, you know,
- 36:56Speaker 1: want to battle the year before that. It's not that
- 37:02Speaker 1: you know he's some kind of great fighter, but he
- 37:05Speaker 1: is game. He's definitely game, mak moodoff. He's coming off
- 37:11Speaker 1: a win later last year and well not late, but
- 37:15Speaker 1: later than his first fight obviously. You know Torres Junior,
- 37:21Speaker 1: this is a great test far him, and I'm glad
- 37:23Speaker 1: that they're doing this because he needs to do this,
- 37:26Speaker 1: you know. Sometimes, Yeah, I think Porter is a more
- 37:31Speaker 1: skilled fighter overall than Torres, but that he's got the
- 37:37Speaker 1: vibe of that where I'm coming and knock this guy
- 37:39Speaker 1: out and I'm gonna bring this pressure, and whether that's
- 37:43Speaker 1: smothering my own punches or not, or getting wide with
- 37:46Speaker 1: my own punches or not. Like I said, I put
- 37:49Speaker 1: Porter well in front of Torres Junior. Okay, Torres, you know,
- 37:53Speaker 1: this is the fight that he can start to prove
- 37:55Speaker 1: where he's at. And I remember Porter having a rough
- 37:59Speaker 1: fight that he to rematch when he was prospect. So
- 38:04Speaker 1: I really really like this fight. I think it's a great,
- 38:09Speaker 1: great step up, and I want to see it. I
- 38:13Speaker 1: want to see it right now, and I mean I
- 38:17Speaker 1: want to see it. I want to watch it. Obviously
- 38:18Speaker 1: I'm a boxing fan, but I want to see Richard
- 38:21Speaker 1: torresm always does here. And I'm picking the upset. I'm
- 38:26Speaker 1: picking way that wido. You can get him as high
- 38:29Speaker 1: as plus two ten plus one ninety six plus two hundred.
- 38:35Speaker 1: That's that's I'm picking the upset. I am picking the upset,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and I'm picking another upset. You have Lindolfo del Gato
- 38:43Speaker 1: and Elvis Rodriguez. That's another like to me, it's a
- 38:48Speaker 1: fifty to fifty fight. I just I think this now.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I'm not gonna sit there and say it's gonna be like,
- 38:59Speaker 1: you know, a great fight. You know, Delgado is coming
- 39:05Speaker 1: off a very solid win wherever Jackson Maurinez is you
- 39:11Speaker 1: know at that time. But you know he's faced some
- 39:17Speaker 1: solid vets, some good prospects. But to me, the only
- 39:23Speaker 1: thing about like, you know, betting on Elvis is his
- 39:29Speaker 1: out his output. There's just times in the realms where
- 39:33Speaker 1: you're like, dude, do a little more, like throw a
- 39:37Speaker 1: little bit more here, man Like, don't just inch out
- 39:40Speaker 1: this round, especially when you could win it cleanly, you know.
- 39:47Speaker 1: But I am going to pick Elvis Roderiguez. I just
- 39:50Speaker 1: think he's more experienced. I think he'll he'll box his
- 39:55Speaker 1: way to a decision, and hopefully this type of style
- 40:01Speaker 1: brings a little bit more out of him. So he
- 40:03Speaker 1: does have to throw more punches. That's what we're gonna
- 40:05Speaker 1: kind of find out there too. And when I say that,
- 40:09Speaker 1: it's really sometimes just throw your jab more, double, triple
- 40:13Speaker 1: your jab. It doesn't have to be you have to
- 40:15Speaker 1: throw five punch combos or something like that. You know,
- 40:18Speaker 1: so on Fan Duley's plus one sixteen, Elvis Rodriez is
- 40:24Speaker 1: DraftKings plus one fifteen plus one twenty five on bet Way,
- 40:29Speaker 1: like that's boxing standards. That's super super close. Masaudier, I
- 40:37Speaker 1: think it is Masalt Mazaudier and Dan Hill. That's another
- 40:45Speaker 1: undercard fight that's closely matched. That's at least you know,
- 40:50Speaker 1: worth mentioning or whatever about when it comes to closely matched.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Abdullah Mason is gonna be back, you know, always fun
- 40:59Speaker 1: to watch him. But yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna go
- 41:04Speaker 1: to upsets Guido and Elvis That's who I'm going. We
- 41:09Speaker 1: Doo and I'm going Elvis Present, I'm going to Elvis Rodriguez.
- 41:15Speaker 1: And then, like I said, Pro Box does have a
- 41:17Speaker 1: solid card or usual something to keep an eye on.
- 41:23Speaker 1: You know. The last two cards that were on a
- 41:26Speaker 1: Saturday were like, you know, kind of there's not a
- 41:33Speaker 1: ton of great fights per se that really stand out.
- 41:36Speaker 1: There's some fifty to fifty type fights though I'm not
- 41:38Speaker 1: doubting this weekend, but it's it's it is a lot though,
- 41:43Speaker 1: so there's a lot going on as far as you
- 41:45Speaker 1: know cards. So I think the Pro box thing on
- 41:50Speaker 1: Saturday is like, although I totally understand it and going
- 41:57Speaker 1: to different places, like they're going to Filly here soon,
- 42:00Speaker 1: like I don't know, I just or wait, is this
- 42:06Speaker 1: card in Philly? This this this weekend? Anyway, I it
- 42:13Speaker 1: kind of gets lost in the sauce a little bit,
- 42:16Speaker 1: and I and I get it trying to sell tickets
- 42:18Speaker 1: in other places during the week even though for a
- 42:22Speaker 1: while they were just you know, fighting in that that
- 42:26Speaker 1: one area. But Sallas and Cruz Williams Moran and yeah,
- 42:32Speaker 1: it is it is that uh it is the twenty
- 42:34Speaker 1: three hundred arena. I'm checking it out right now in
- 42:37Speaker 1: pro Box, so you know, I think it's it's always
- 42:43Speaker 1: worth to check it out. I just I don't know,
- 42:46Speaker 1: you know, maybe they could move it to Thursdays instead
- 42:49Speaker 1: of Wednesdays or something, because Thursday gets much closer to Friday.
- 42:52Speaker 1: And in the timeframe when I was more going out
- 42:56Speaker 1: and partying and that type of thing, you know, Thursday
- 43:01Speaker 1: night sometimes it was a very big night, so you
- 43:03Speaker 1: can maybe sell tickets then. But there is also a
- 43:09Speaker 1: woman's fight wrecked wrecked I can't remember in Yamanaka. That's
- 43:17Speaker 1: that's also that's a big fight for the division and whatnot.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I think it's undisputed. So yeah, so we have in
- 43:25Speaker 1: Desonna as a card Friday and two cards on Friday.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Red All. That's another good uh mid level the Red
- 43:33Speaker 1: All Boxing and that is based in Houston, so that's
- 43:38Speaker 1: you know, something to keep an eye on as well.
- 43:40Speaker 1: So yeah, like I said, it's not there's some really
- 43:42Speaker 1: interesting fights. It's more of a hardcore fight weekend. But
- 43:47Speaker 1: you know, sometimes we get some really good fights here. Man.
- 43:50Speaker 1: It should be a pretty good weekend obviously. You know,
- 43:54Speaker 1: this is the last weekend coming up for college basketball.
- 43:57Speaker 1: The games start at night, so that swallows up a
- 44:02Speaker 1: lot of attention. Obviously it comes to other sports, especially boxing.
- 44:09Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean, you know, it is what it is.
- 44:14Speaker 1: We will we will see. Oh and also Yabuka Yabuka
- 44:20Speaker 1: and Ayala. That was he uh Yabuka land knocked uh
- 44:29Speaker 1: knocked him down in around one in two and you
- 44:36Speaker 1: know he he may have he may have uh it
- 44:40Speaker 1: may have been you know earlier, to be honest with you,
- 44:45Speaker 1: but he got cut both of them. It was a
- 44:48Speaker 1: bloody fight. Ayella. I give him credit because you know,
- 44:55Speaker 1: he he had a really really really bad start and
- 45:00Speaker 1: the damage he took in this fight. It was impressive
- 45:06Speaker 1: to last to the twelfth round. Ya bookie, yabooka ya bookie.
- 45:10Speaker 1: He was really taking it to him so he ended up.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Is that is uh? I think that's a second weight now.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Uh being a champ and whatnot. But that was a
- 45:22Speaker 1: good fight. That was a good fight, no doubt about it.
- 45:25Speaker 1: That's another one that happened from last week. And I
- 45:29Speaker 1: did forget to oh just some follow up, I forgot
- 45:34Speaker 1: to mention. Someone asked me how I did because I
- 45:38Speaker 1: did mention the decision plus numbers, Yeah, patta. I had
- 45:42Speaker 1: Zay Potta plus one twenty four and I had Mayor
- 45:46Speaker 1: plus one twenty three. So I definitely did did good there,
- 45:53Speaker 1: let's put that. Let's put it that way. So I
- 45:55Speaker 1: had a good, good bet weekend. I still have a
- 46:00Speaker 1: future on oh on Houston. I bet on Houston to
- 46:09Speaker 1: win the championship a while back for plus six fifty,
- 46:14Speaker 1: just just so you know, all right, So Steven fulk
- 46:20Speaker 1: who is he gonna be fight next? It sounds like,
- 46:25Speaker 1: you know, the WBC might come in and say, hey,
- 46:29Speaker 1: you gotta fight Ray Vargus. But then again they may
- 46:33Speaker 1: allow because Ray Vargas was allowed to go to one
- 46:35Speaker 1: thirty when he was supposed to fight. Was it Figueroa?
- 46:41Speaker 1: I think it was. So the WBC might end up
- 46:47Speaker 1: calling for Fulton to fight him, but he may still
- 46:51Speaker 1: be able to just well shit, he could drop it obviously,
- 46:54Speaker 1: but they may get permission to go up and fight
- 46:56Speaker 1: Oshaki Foster maybe Shushu. Like I said, he's kind of
- 47:01Speaker 1: in the mix. So it looks like it's either gonna
- 47:05Speaker 1: be Ray Vargus or Oshaki Foster next. And Oshaki Foster
- 47:12Speaker 1: sounded like he's got a fight that he's that he's
- 47:17Speaker 1: planning on the way it looked on boxing Twitter anyway,
- 47:23Speaker 1: which you never know, right, That would be great to
- 47:28Speaker 1: go up and fight out Shaki Foster man, but Ray
- 47:30Speaker 1: Vargus would be solid. And there are also people talking about, well,
- 47:34Speaker 1: if he does go to one thirty, then Shoeshoe and
- 47:37Speaker 1: Ray Argus could fight for that devil. But like I said,
- 47:40Speaker 1: once again, I want to mention great in depth interview.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Check it out from Brunch Boxing with Steven Fulton. It
- 47:47Speaker 1: was like an afternoon an afternoon delight. No, it was
- 47:51Speaker 1: an afternoon interview. It was good, very in depth, per
- 47:54Speaker 1: usual coming out of brunch Boxing shouts out to Matt
- 47:59Speaker 1: and Ezra and the whole crew, the Mexican Al Hayman,
- 48:03Speaker 1: all that good stuff. Hue Up up my parts, my
- 48:11Speaker 1: parts of the up the land, shouts out to Huey.
- 48:17Speaker 1: So yeah, I think, you know, I think that's kind
- 48:20Speaker 1: of interesting and there was so either way, it looks
- 48:23Speaker 1: like and if that's the co feature, if if now
- 48:27Speaker 1: maybe they put that on us straight up, you know, Amazon,
- 48:32Speaker 1: I don't know, but if that's the co feature to
- 48:35Speaker 1: to Roach and Lamont I just said that tonight to
- 48:39Speaker 1: Davis en Roach, if that's the co feature, Fulton Foster,
- 48:45Speaker 1: oh my gosh, Oh my god, because all of a sudden,
- 48:49Speaker 1: we now know, like a lot of people didn't look
- 48:54Speaker 1: like that, you know, didn't didn't think the Davis Roach
- 48:59Speaker 1: fight was a real fight, was a competitive fight. Like
- 49:03Speaker 1: going into it, a lot of people thought, eh, you know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: now I didn't think. I didn't think i'd score have
- 49:10Speaker 1: a scorecard that reads Lamont uh would win the fight
- 49:15Speaker 1: or it won the fight. Obviously he got screwed on
- 49:18Speaker 1: that knockdown. Clearly. I'm glad that it sounds like there's
- 49:22Speaker 1: gonna be a rematch. But man, if that's the co feature,
- 49:28Speaker 1: that would be That would be phenomenal. Man, that would
- 49:32Speaker 1: be great. That would be phenomenal. All right. So I
- 49:36Speaker 1: saw this from Lance Pugmyer top Rank PBC plotting several
- 49:41Speaker 1: cards to keep fights in the US. This is, of course,
- 49:44Speaker 1: Boxing Scene. Jake Donovan is backed on Boxing Scene, by
- 49:48Speaker 1: the way. And it's funny because Bob, there's a quote
- 49:53Speaker 1: early in the article. I've never really I've never had
- 49:56Speaker 1: any real problem doing business with them. It's like, oh yeah, yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I mean not no real problems, bro, but yeah, you know.
- 50:05Speaker 1: It goes on to say stuff about you know, a
- 50:10Speaker 1: pay per view whatever, but basically saying basically like the
- 50:15Speaker 1: you know, the supercard that, by the way, was a
- 50:18Speaker 1: supercard didn't sell pay per views here really, and they
- 50:22Speaker 1: put out anytime you put out a worldwide number, and
- 50:25Speaker 1: the worldwide pay per view number is not like, you know,
- 50:30Speaker 1: super big. You know, I knew it would do good
- 50:32Speaker 1: in the UK. Are pretty good, Actually I thought it.
- 50:37Speaker 1: I didn't think it did as good. I thought it'd
- 50:40Speaker 1: do a little better in the UK, to be honest
- 50:41Speaker 1: with you. But it just references, Hey, you know, if
- 50:46Speaker 1: you make the right fight here with the right fighters
- 50:49Speaker 1: and whatnot. You're going to generate, you know, like it is,
- 50:53Speaker 1: it is what it is. They were doing tank numbers
- 50:56Speaker 1: and that card numbers whatever. But he but Aaron's sold boxing.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Seeing there's no question that fights are better received when
- 51:02Speaker 1: staged in the US with the time difference. Doing the
- 51:05Speaker 1: fights outside the US should be something that has done
- 51:08Speaker 1: with great frequency every once in a while. Okay, but
- 51:11Speaker 1: the fans here in America deserve robust spight schedule here
- 51:14Speaker 1: in the US, just as UK fans deserve a busy
- 51:18Speaker 1: schedule over there. And I agree with that. If you
- 51:20Speaker 1: don't do good fights in the US, then boxing will
- 51:22Speaker 1: die and wither away. So yeah, they're they're talking about
- 51:27Speaker 1: whether it's you know, beyond staging own his own fights,
- 51:31Speaker 1: as Aaron is doing with smaller cards on consecutive weekends
- 51:34Speaker 1: in Las Vegas. You know, there's talks of doing stuff
- 51:41Speaker 1: with the PBC. So you know, whether that means Xander
- 51:45Speaker 1: Zaiez and Fandora among other fights obviously, you know, Oshaki
- 51:51Speaker 1: Foster and Fulton and Tom Brown actually jumped in here too.
- 51:56Speaker 1: You know, whenever it's right, we'll work with anyone, if
- 52:00Speaker 1: it's the right fight. Were We're more than happy to
- 52:02Speaker 1: work at top rank. So Moretti said, we talked about
- 52:08Speaker 1: from dorzaias and a bunch of fights. Let's see if
- 52:12Speaker 1: they can come together. So so yeah, I mean, did
- 52:21Speaker 1: you do do do Let's see here. Yeah, I mean
- 52:24Speaker 1: there is multiple fights when you think about it, that
- 52:27Speaker 1: you know obviously can be made, and so let's hope
- 52:31Speaker 1: that some of these fights end up getting made. It
- 52:36Speaker 1: does appear that a fight is made now for that
- 52:44Speaker 1: double feature with Caleb plant In Jamaal Charlot. That's what it.
- 52:51Speaker 1: What appears to be okay in the what they're talking
- 52:58Speaker 1: about May first, so they both fight, but it's on
- 53:03Speaker 1: a regular PBC Amazon I should say regular Amazon Prime
- 53:08Speaker 1: and and then my guess is you know it would
- 53:13Speaker 1: be a pay per view later in the year. Now,
- 53:15Speaker 1: it would be great if they could somehow make that
- 53:17Speaker 1: fight just straight up on Amazon. I don't I don't
- 53:21Speaker 1: think that's gonna happen, but you never know. So you know,
- 53:28Speaker 1: it seems like corn Flake is the guy Lamana Thomas Lamana,
- 53:35Speaker 1: that Jamal Charloe's gonna face it and Jamal. I didn't
- 53:39Speaker 1: expect much of a fight for Jamal because he's been
- 53:44Speaker 1: out for so long. So when you're out that long,
- 53:48Speaker 1: it is best to get a fight, get a camp,
- 53:52Speaker 1: so you train for a while. Usually you get a camp,
- 53:55Speaker 1: you have a fight, you get through it, and then
- 53:57Speaker 1: you have another camp and you know, so it is
- 54:01Speaker 1: probably the best way to do this, obviously, Caleb Plant
- 54:08Speaker 1: in Jamal Charlow, if you, like I said, if you
- 54:10Speaker 1: could have it matched up later in the year, they
- 54:13Speaker 1: could sell this fight. That's why I think it'll be
- 54:15Speaker 1: a pay per view because it has a possibility of
- 54:17Speaker 1: doing enough to cover the expenses. I'm not saying it's
- 54:21Speaker 1: gonna do over two hundred thousand or nothing like that,
- 54:24Speaker 1: but you know, it would be nice to keep it on,
- 54:29Speaker 1: you know, on Amazon, but I doubt that's gonna happen now.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Who knows. Maybe it's a co featured to something on
- 54:34Speaker 1: a bigger car, you know, on a Benavidus card or
- 54:37Speaker 1: something like that. But anyway, looks like March thirty first
- 54:41Speaker 1: and Rascendez Joseriscendez is being reported that that's gonna be
- 54:50Speaker 1: Caleb plant his next outing, and you know he beat
- 54:55Speaker 1: herd a while back. I think it wasn't. I don't
- 55:01Speaker 1: think you know it was in twenty twenty three. In fact,
- 55:03Speaker 1: he faced Herd and he also faced Elijah Garcia and
- 55:07Speaker 1: that was a competitive fight. With Elijah Garcia. He ended
- 55:10Speaker 1: up getting stopped though, but it was competitive, so I
- 55:15Speaker 1: mean with Elijah Garcia though, we know that's a different level.
- 55:18Speaker 1: So you know, I would have liked to seen a
- 55:22Speaker 1: better opponent for for Caleb, but Resent this is okay whatever,
- 55:33Speaker 1: And I noticed that because Caleb's the introim WBA and
- 55:39Speaker 1: I see Rescinda this is the fifteenth race. So just
- 55:42Speaker 1: snuck in there, just snuck in there. But you have
- 55:46Speaker 1: you know, and Billy, you have Martinez, you have Beck,
- 55:50Speaker 1: you have well Berlanga, you have Pacheco, you have some
- 55:55Speaker 1: other names too, so you know, it is what it is. Like.
- 56:02Speaker 1: It's not a great fight, that's for sure. It's not like,
- 56:05Speaker 1: oh dude, I'm really pumped about that, but if it
- 56:09Speaker 1: leads to that, it is what it is. You know,
- 56:12Speaker 1: I totally get this. You know the side of Jermal though,
- 56:18Speaker 1: I will say that because you know, like he's been
- 56:26Speaker 1: out for a long time, so he does need a
- 56:28Speaker 1: tune up. You know, we heard the Zipata saying that
- 56:34Speaker 1: he wants to do the fight on May fourth with
- 56:38Speaker 1: Shakur and I remember his trainer on Mill City was
- 56:42Speaker 1: talking about Chakour thinks May fifth is too soon. So
- 56:48Speaker 1: and then you know this dude tweeted, Oh, Chakor's ducking
- 56:53Speaker 1: and it's like, no, it probably is too soon because
- 56:56Speaker 1: the second you lose the fight, you're gonna be like, well,
- 56:57Speaker 1: we shouldn't have had to turn around and you know
- 57:00Speaker 1: what I mean, and you know it is what it is. Bro.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I did also see that Terrence said that he he
- 57:09Speaker 1: actually now thinks he might go back down to fifty
- 57:17Speaker 1: four after that fight and do more damage. You know,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I don't know, we'll see. So Ring Magazine had this
- 57:28Speaker 1: post which of these five American boxer stars do you
- 57:31Speaker 1: believe will have the greatest careers? And when it's all
- 57:34Speaker 1: said and done, it had Hanie Stevenson, Davis Garcia Lopez.
- 57:39Speaker 1: As much as I don't like his ass, I would
- 57:41Speaker 1: say Toyo Fema Lopez because Gervante, who knows how long
- 57:45Speaker 1: he's going to be around, Stevenson has some catching up
- 57:49Speaker 1: to do. Hani at least had an undisputed that's major,
- 57:54Speaker 1: but you know he beat Loma and stuff. But I
- 57:58Speaker 1: just think Tayo Fema, right, now has the best best
- 58:05Speaker 1: victories because you know he did like they both fought Loma,
- 58:12Speaker 1: but clearly one fought before the other, you know what
- 58:16Speaker 1: I mean. And I'm not saying like Loma the fight
- 58:20Speaker 1: with HAINI didn't count like oh, you know Loma was
- 58:24Speaker 1: finished or something. That's not what I'm saying at all.
- 58:26Speaker 1: It was a great fight. Actually, I would love to
- 58:29Speaker 1: see the rematch. But yeah, right now, i'd probably say
- 58:32Speaker 1: it like I probably say Tey a female because like
- 58:34Speaker 1: I said, Gervantes in the mix, and same with Schakour,
- 58:38Speaker 1: I'd say those two are right behind him. But he's
- 58:43Speaker 1: just got such a lead because right now anyway, and
- 58:48Speaker 1: Shakur and Davis have good wins. I think some of
- 58:51Speaker 1: their wins are are very underrated, but it is speaking
- 58:55Speaker 1: of Shakur, Kishan Davis says he won't fight Shakur because
- 58:58Speaker 1: he won't be at one thirty five. Wan said, I'll
- 59:01Speaker 1: go to one. I might be even at so and
- 59:07Speaker 1: I saw Sky Sports, Uh you bank Junior conyer Ben
- 59:12Speaker 1: will be shown on Sky Sports Box Office April twenty six.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Someone sent me that Okay, uh, someone I actually don't
- 59:23Speaker 1: know who tweeted it because someone screenshotted it and said
- 59:25Speaker 1: to me, so there are rumors of Roach allegedly pricing
- 59:28Speaker 1: himself off for a tank rematch. Who didn't see that coming.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I hope, I hope that's not the case. I really
- 59:37Speaker 1: hope that's not the case. Jake Paul says, if I'm
- 59:39Speaker 1: offering Tommy Ferry three million to fight me in twenty
- 59:43Speaker 1: twenty five, the number is four million, And then he said,
- 59:46Speaker 1: I'm offering Fury, Tommy Fiery, three million to fight me,
- 59:51Speaker 1: which that was a quick little turnaround, by the way.
- 59:57Speaker 1: I said Fury, and my phone reacted to that. I
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: don't want to say what the phone thought. I say,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: that'll pop up again anyway. The number is four mil.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: If you can legally get into the US. Let's see
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: who's duck and who that's different than AJ though that
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: happened pretty quickly. Tommy Fury said, why would I agree
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: to that when it's less than our first fight and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I beat you. You're diluted. You claim to be a
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: good businessman. If you want to talk business properly, I'm there,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: but don't throw any stupid offers that you won't you know,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: won't get expected. It's clear to see that you're just
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: using money as an issues to get away from the rematch.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: You brag about making fifty mil for your fights, but
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: yet you won't pay up for the real fights. Yeah,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I mean Tommy Fury is a much different fight than
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the AJ fight. I mean, I just I find that
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: hilarious that he thought he could that he thinks he
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: can be AJ. So someone said Tank needs that. Someone
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: set me a screenshot, uh saying Tank needs to pay
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: him whatever he's asking for him to get the fade
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: back the pressures on him. Well, he doesn't need to
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: give him whatever he wants. You know, here's Canelo, right,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: He's got a quote talking about Benevitez. The way he talks,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: he thinks he's Superman, has accomplished He's accomplished nothing. He's
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: not even at a champion and not my weight class.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: At this point of my career, I can do whatever
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I want. Well, when you talk about accomplishments and you
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: talk about not even a champion, so on, once again,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: what was Berlanga, dude? Like, what was Mungia? Wasn't a
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: champion at the weight either. People are making a big
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: deal lately. I've seen about Terrence Crawford not thinking Errol
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Spence is a Hall of Famer. He did do damage
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: at one forty seven and if you look who's in
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: the Hall of Fame, he deserves to be in the
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Hall of Fame if you look at the membership right
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: and how other fighters got in. But I don't think
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: about terrences. It's like dog, that's your best win. So
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: like that means you have no Hall of Famers on
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: your you know, on your resume. So it's like, okay, man,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: it's I understand the rivalry. But like PBC and Spence
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: bent over backwards to give you that fight, and a
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: lot of people said all these years and they blocked him,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Well why don't you just sign with the PBC then
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: if you wanted to fight so bad? They never talk
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: about that ever, but you could tell them the negotiation,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: which some of it, so much of it, excuse me,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: was made public. You know, it is what it is.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I just I but I get it. He's got a
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: rivalry and whatnot. But someone asked me how much the
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: PBC is going to charge for Wilder's fight. I don't
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: think he has anything to do it. I don't think
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: the PBC has a thing to do with that. I
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: did see or listened to the Brunch Boxing Saturday Afternoon
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: last Saturday, and they reported that Boxing Scene and Pro
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Box owner Gary Jonas or Jonas has alleged that Turkey
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: has consistently refused media credidentials to Boxing Scene reporters and
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: the bar Boxing Scene editorial team from covering rehod season offense.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: That's crazy. They also talked about Aoki or Ioka and
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Martinez that the fight is set. The rematch is set
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: for May eleventh, So that's that's a good fight. Let's see,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: oh this is They also talked about on the last
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: on the on the Saturday episode about that what I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: mentioned earlier that Sugar Stevenson you know mentioned earlier this
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: show that that they're willing that he's Eddie Hearn said
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: he's willing to wait till the fall to fight Gervante,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: even if you know pot it was successful, which he
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: was against Farmers. So I wonder, I wonder, I really wonder. Uh.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Lord of the Flies says, really a shame they rob
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Alverado of his deserve victory over Iola Iola Alay boo
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Key and Alvarado when the would have been the better fight.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: People pretending the aside beneficial robbers don't harm the sport
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: when they give us inherently inferior products, it does harm
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the sport. That's a good point. That's a very good point.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: And I agree with what he said about the matchup.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Oh I forgot to mention Matt Brown. I just realized
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: that when I saw this tweet, and this kind of
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: sums it up to an extent, but not really this
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a little over the top. But Pat Brown did look
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: gassed after a while, after like a handful of rounds. Right,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: he's pretty brand new in the sport. We'll see if
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: he's going to be any good. Right, But this dude said,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: guess being an Olympic boxer really doesn't mean anything at all,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: because Pat Brown has no power and he's exhausted after
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: three rounds of barely any resistance at all against the
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: complete jobb or Pound for Pounds has this tweet. It
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: says the most talented fighter since Lloyd and Roy and
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: they got Boots in that. It's like, really, so you
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: think Boots is more talented than than than Crawford or
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: any way or Wustic, Like really, and then you're just
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: gonna skip andre Ward and and like there's a lot
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: of people you're just skipping. Huh. Okay, gotcha convinced that
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: this wouldn't have happened, wouldn't have seen the round seven
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: if it wasn't for the head class he's talking about
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: that that fight. Yeah, that is true. That is a
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: good point. Oh, here's what I meant about Oshaki. Foster said,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna show y'all I'm different, And okay, you're gonna
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: show your different. Do you mean that the fights the
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: fight's happening. Then I got to hope that fight happens.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Jamaine Artists says, the camera quality of this fight card
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: is in Kankuda's trash. Yeah audio two. No shit, it
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: really was. It really was. The boom boom boom. Oh.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: By the way, in that Ennis Staniosi's fight by ko
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: is a plus one sixty five and by decision is
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: a minus one thirty four. The odds are a little high.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I'd say, uh, as far as you know, I think
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Stanionias should be a little it should be a little lower,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: but I think he should be a clear underdog. Oh yeah.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Then also anyway, and Nakatani shook hands and they said,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: let's meet this time in the Tokyo Tokyo Dome next year.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: And that's a great fight, you know. I give him
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: my thoughts on that fight. So much skill, speed, explosion
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: in that fight. That's just an exciting matchup. Man. But
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: to be honest with you, they were supposed to fight
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: together on a card right now, like in the spring,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: and then fight the next fight against each other. So
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: if we got to wait till next year, this time,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: it's like all right, cool, Like when that fight comes,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: oh my god, that's gonna be great. But if you're
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: I don't know, it's like all right, so you were
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: we were told it was gonna be lined up for
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: this year, so now it's next year. Okay. I hope
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: it doesn't go beyond next year then. So since PBC
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: and tr are rocking together now, Barrios and Norman unification. Yeah,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: that was big bug Williams. Oh boy. I saw this
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: on a screenshot Dan the Man boxing man Edgar Berlanga
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: with a message to Caleb Plant. You didn't send me nothing,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: no contract. You're not the ETHN boss, motherfucker. You work
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: for PBC. The fucker you talking about. Well, first of all,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: whatever I'm gonna I'm not gonna say it, But anyway,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I send you a contract on the A side, you're
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the B side. I'm gonna send you a contract. You're
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: gonna fight me for two hundred thousand. I'm gonna make
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: thirty mili. It's just like, come on, dude, nobody's making
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: thirty million that fight. It's not even gonna make thirty million. Uh.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: If Terrence Crawford beats Canelo, is he the GREATESTT fighter
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: in the twenty first century? No, he's not. Um just
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: a reminder. Reminder, Tank versus Roach was the biggest broad
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: broad daylight robbery. The broad daylight is so funny. They
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: weren't fighting outside and it was at night. But anyway,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: I get what he's saying in the history of boxing,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: like engagement is the hell of a drug man En Gate.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Now he got fucked on that. But to act like
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: first of all he said and then he goes on
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: to say that he was nationally telep Dude, it is
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: on paper it wouldn't nationally televised. Rip to the Nigerian
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: boxer who passed Gabriel. I'm not going to say his
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: last name because I'll butcher it, but rip to him, man,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that sucks. That really sucks. And that's where what people
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: call fighters bombs and all sorts of stuff. It's like,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: first of all, who the fuck are you? And second
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: of all, like you're not getting in there and risking
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: your shit like that, dude, And it's for our entertainment.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: They call people bombs. It's just anyway. Uh. It sounds
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: like Derek Jashore has officially announced his next fight will
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: be his last. I'll be out at the end of
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: the year. Even if I win the belt. I'm done.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: My wife said one more in Y're out, So that's legit.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: We'll see who that comes again. Oh God, so Ray
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: jack right, Ray Jackson? In showtime Sean Porter, there's announcement
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: on the Porterway podcast the seventeenth of May Vegas tickets
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: pay per view anyway May thirty. First, it does look
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: like the Man dealay Bay is booked by TGB. I
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: just checked not long ago, so we'll see. We'll see
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: how that goes. Um Oh, Shakur and Keishan won't happen?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: What is this? I can't tell. Someone just sent me
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: this shot at it so shoots down potential. He says,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: I hope we get all the belts and then one
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: of one of them vacates and moves up a division.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: So Kishun really doesn't want to fight him. It's just
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: after a while, it's like, come on, dude, I don't know.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: So the zone, quick question for a boxing fan, who
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: is your king? King Fury, King Tyson, King Canelo, and
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: King Ryan. First of all, take King Ryan out of
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: the equation, you'd have to go Canelo, Fiury, Tyson. But
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: come on, dude, I mean Tyson, who's your king? Tyson
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: was my king when as a kid. But Farmer says,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: just an FYI, I'm not going anywhere. I will be
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: a two time chap and that will be a part
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: of my legacy. I'm a dog. Ain't no quit in
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: me now, you know? Hey, man, shots out to him,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: shots out to him. Oh, by the way, I did
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: forget to mention this. This is also Jake Donovan on
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Boxing Scene. Tim Zo It says, Joey Spencer team angered
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: over lack of neutral judges and there's already a fighter
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: willing to step in. I don't know, man, that that's
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: that is pretty messed up. Spencer side contends that they're
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: promised upon first signing for their fight first signing for
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: the fight that there would be at least two international judges.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: That's what Jason Spencer said. His head trainer insists that
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: it's a breach of the agreement. There's basically, according to
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Jason Spencer, the three assigned officials are all from Australia.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean, if they had an agreement, dude,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: you know you hadn't agree. If that's true, then yeah,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: that fucking that's bullshit. That's really really bullshit. So let's
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: so that that doesn't happen. Oh. By the way, Matchroom
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: and Most Valuable Promotions Mattroom's boxing multi multi million dollar
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: defamination lawsuit against the Most Valuable Promotion was to dismiss
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: with prejudice okay by US District Court, Southern District, New York. Okay.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: So someone told me that got settled, but the deef okay,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: So it didn't get settled. It did not get settled.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Here's Jim Cross. He said, Joyce whishes Parker was three
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: years ago. It's crazy to see how their careers gone
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: since that fight. At the time, it looked like Parker
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: was done at the top level. Joyce was sending to
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: a title shot. The exact opposite happened. The sport is
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: so unpredictable. Yes, indeed it is super unpredictable. Williams the
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: paint that went from not being ranked in the wbaings
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: to be a number one. Yeah, that about does it. Oh,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: I don't someone set me this screenshot a Turkey He
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: did an April Fools saying that the London card and
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the New York card are going to be my last cards.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: So I think that's just bullshit. Jamaine Artist said World
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Title Fights signed see y'all in June m and then
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I saw on the Ring Magazine his excellency Turkey said that,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: oh this is this has gotta be it. Yeah, okay,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: it said KSI Jake Paul either Wembley or Madison Square Garden.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I think that's April Fools as well, but then again
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: who knows. Oh. And then so the last Crescendo did
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: three hundred and forty thousand according to Ring Magazine, three
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: hundred and forty thousand pay per views worldwide. Okay, so,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: and by the way, Alicia Baumgarner is going to take
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: on Jennifer Miranda as the co feature to Tailor Serrano
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: on Netflix. Yeah. The the point here is like that. Clearly,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: if you put out worldwide numbers and they're three hundred
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: and forty or whatever it was, you know, that tells
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: you that it didn't do all that good, right, didn't
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: do all that good. So you're looking at you know,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: somewhere around nine dollars at twenty five. Remember twenty five
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: was the US price, the UK was twenty and who
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: knows where it was in other places of Australia you're
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: paying whatever. Who knows what the price is you know there.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I mean, I could do the research, but I'm just
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: saying it off top. So let's say one hundred and
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: fifty of those were here, that's at twenty dollars a pop.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: That's three million. Even if it was two hundred here,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: which actually would be an improve you improvement, But yeah,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: if you do if you do the math, like I
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: said before, two hundred and sixty, two hundred and sixty
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: thousand buys here eighty you know, eighty bucks a pop.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: That's over twenty million. And that's what you know. Obviously
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I'm talking about the you know, the tank card. So
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: you know, I'll never say those weren't that wasn't a
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: phenomenal card. But I Also, I'm not going to sit
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: there and say you're going to grow the sport by
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: putting it on during the day here, you know, I
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: mean it's it's reported under one hundred thousand here. I'm
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: just being I'm just saying, let's say it fifty here, right,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: But when you got to put out your world pay
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: per view numbers, and like I said, I kind of
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: thought that it would do, you know, a little bit
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: higher in the UK, to be honest with you, but
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: that's still pretty good for the UK. I mean, we
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: don't know the exact numbers, but the bottom line is,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: you know, it's just not it just didn't just like
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: all the rest of them, it didn't grasp people here
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: when it's been in Sadi. I understand you're gonna put
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: some of them in Sadi, you know, but you know,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I don't know anyway one more this. Yeah, this is
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: a good one. After what happened. Oh this is a
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: little bit ago. After what happened is Saturday. Now we
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: know Dravante duct Haney. Now we know why Dravante duct Haney.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: He would have gotten steamrolled and knocked out. So you're
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: telling me Hani Hani would have knocked out and Davis. Okay,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: come on, just say he'd win the fight. You're talking
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: about knockouts and shit like. Come on, dude. Anyway, I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: think that about wraps it up. Enjoy the fights. Back
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: next week. Hopefully I can get, you know, back to
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: that Tuesday night
