Transcript
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Imagine the quality of light just before sunrise, still unhurried, expectant.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: That's the feeling we're moving toward.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Let your body settle into whatever is holding it right now.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Take a breath in and let it out like a sigh, like something releasing.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Let your breath find its own rhythm now.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: A version of events you'd already agreed to without even noticing you'd agreed to it.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: And it didn't go that way.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Something moved.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Something arrived early, or didn't arrive at all, or arrived looking nothing like you expected.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Picture that early light again.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: The sky before sunrise doesn't know yet exactly what shape the morning will take.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: It doesn't grip the plan.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: It just keeps opening.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: That's the loosening we're practicing tonight.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Not giving up, just opening your hand around something you've been holding too tightly.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: There's no rush to feel resolved about any of it.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Just notice the grip itself for now.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: There's a version of you further down the road who already loosened this grip, not because the original plan came back.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: It didn't.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Not the way you pictured it.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: The grip you're feeling right now, how tightly you're holding on, how much it feels like letting go would mean everything falls apart.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: It eases.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Things don't fall apart the way it feels like they might.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Something simply becomes what it was always going to become.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And the fighting can stop.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: There's room in that you don't expect yet.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: You don't have to know yet what this becomes.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: You only have to stop bracing against the fact that it's already becoming something else.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Let your hands unclench wherever you're holding them.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Let your jaw loosen.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Let your shoulders drop half an inch.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Like something has quietly been given permission to stop guarding.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Feel your feet heavy and unhurried, exactly where they are, not where the old plan said they'd be by now.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Let your breath soften even further.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: There is nothing here that needs your grip to hold it together.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: This is what surrender actually feels like.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Not collapse, just an open hand.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Let these affirmations arrive as questions and let the answer arrive quietly underneath them.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: What if it were true that I am safe even when the plan changes that?
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: Whatever that means for you tonight.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: When you're ready, bring your attention back to the light, real or imagined, wherever you are.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Let it be as unhurried and unfinished as it actually is.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: And let that be alright.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Before you go, thank you for spending this time with yourself tonight.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: If these meditations have become part of your routine, I'd love your help growing this little corner of calm, leaving a review or sharing this with someone in your life.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Means more people find their way here.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: That's how we build something that lasts.
