- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Bec Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hello, everybody, we are scrubbing in roub dub dub. Tony's
- 0:13Speaker 2: having some technology malfunctions. I gotta get her ring lights up.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I have a second one. Do you
- 0:20Speaker 1: want it today?
- 0:21Speaker 2: It's okay? Oh wow, it'sick Monday.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Do we like that light?
- 0:35Speaker 2: You don't have to use it? Nice? Yeah, that's me
- 0:38Speaker 2: on tongue's level today. Baby, No, that's perfect. Okay, great
- 0:47Speaker 2: a return from Grease Lolla palooza. It's about sums up.
- 0:52Speaker 2: How how I'm feeling this morning?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Same girl? Same? I think I left. I think I
- 0:58Speaker 1: left Grease full twenty four hours ago, like it. I
- 1:03Speaker 1: don't even I don't even know what.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Day it is. I know what day it is, Monday? Yeah,
- 1:06Speaker 2: what day? Did you get home? Saturday or Sunday? I
- 1:09Speaker 2: left Saturday, but didn't you come? Didn't you get back Saturday?
- 1:12Speaker 1: Sunday?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Interesting? Yeah, you're probably not feeling great.
- 1:16Speaker 1: No, I'm not feeling myself.
- 1:18Speaker 2: But you have more energy than you do sometimes when
- 1:20Speaker 2: you don't go to Greece.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's weird. I'm like so my circadian rhythm is
- 1:24Speaker 1: off circadian rhythm.
- 1:27Speaker 2: A circadium circadian circadian?
- 1:30Speaker 1: What is kadian? I think it might be right circadian.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna say something about sarcasm.
- 1:35Speaker 1: No, my circa circadian rhythm, circadian rhythm. My circadian rhythm
- 1:39Speaker 1: is off, but it weirdly gives you that energy, like
- 1:42Speaker 1: I popped up. I went to sleep last night like
- 1:44Speaker 1: seven thirty and I woke up at six and my
- 1:46Speaker 1: ar ring said, I slept almost ten hours. So oh wow.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so you'll probably crash at some point today, Like
- 1:52Speaker 2: you're in a high right, I'm not a high right right?
- 1:55Speaker 2: Coffee and she's back on coffee? Did we ever know?
- 2:00Speaker 2: So you're back on coffee.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I've been back on coffee for a while.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Oh okay, girl, all right, Just so in case people
- 2:05Speaker 2: missed out on.
- 2:05Speaker 1: That, that was the Hashimoto phase.
- 2:07Speaker 2: What do we call that? The fixation?
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yes, that was the fixation of sorts.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Wait, so you you reverse your Hashy motives and then
- 2:15Speaker 2: you're like, I'm back on I'm back on the juice.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Back on the juice. Yeah, there's only so much that
- 2:20Speaker 1: I can stay without. That was one that was very
- 2:22Speaker 1: hard for me in that moment. The gluten not so much.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Everything else was like not so bad, but the coffee
- 2:27Speaker 1: was very hard for me.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, caffeine's crazy. Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Oh you know what I tried in Greece? What I
- 2:33Speaker 1: tried a bottled coca cola rice? Yeah?
- 2:38Speaker 2: How was it delicious?
- 2:41Speaker 1: It's okay.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I saw your video. I have a I have a
- 2:45Speaker 3: thing to say. What it looked like you had one
- 2:47Speaker 3: of those little mini bottles. Was a full size size
- 2:51Speaker 3: from Mexico.
- 2:52Speaker 2: From grease, It wasn't a Mexican color.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the Mexican coke is different because it is
- 2:58Speaker 3: a real sugar.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Oh what do they use in Greece.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I don't know, I'll look it up. It might be Yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I was like, Europe has regulations and stuff, oh have
- 3:08Speaker 2: with like sodaes.
- 3:09Speaker 3: It's probably fine. I just I just wanted to make
- 3:11Speaker 3: sure you got the real lie.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I was like, I told Robby, I go, the one
- 3:14Speaker 1: thing I want to do on this trip is I
- 3:15Speaker 1: really want to try bottled glass bottled coca cola, because you,
- 3:20Speaker 1: Paulina and Raquel all love a glass bottled coca cola
- 3:25Speaker 1: over rice. So I waited to the perfect day where
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was like scorching hot. It was so hot. I
- 3:30Speaker 1: was like, I felt like I was delirious because it
- 3:33Speaker 1: was I was so hot. I was like, I'm going
- 3:35Speaker 1: to order this iced coke today. And it didn't hit
- 3:38Speaker 1: quite like I wanted it to.
- 3:41Speaker 2: That's interesting. Yeah, you know you can do that here
- 3:43Speaker 2: in the States. We have glass bottle cokes.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Maybe I'll try it here one day.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I would say, if you're like scorching hot and like uncomfortable,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I don't.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Know, you wouldn't recommend if you're.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Not a soda drinker. I don't know if that's when
- 3:56Speaker 2: it would hit. Yeah, we'll find the right time. Okay, Yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 2: we'll do it together.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'll make you the marshmallow fluff. Have you seen those? Yeah?
- 4:04Speaker 2: I saw you do it. Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, we'll
- 4:06Speaker 2: try that. Okay, yeah great, that feels fun.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah okay.
- 4:10Speaker 2: So rewind. You went to Greece last time we talked
- 4:17Speaker 2: to you. It was two days before three days. We
- 4:20Speaker 2: were undecided. Yeah, it was between Greece and Hawaii. You
- 4:24Speaker 2: went with Greece.
- 4:24Speaker 1: We chose Greece.
- 4:26Speaker 2: What was the deciding factor?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Well, it's funny. So I was getting my hair done actually,
- 4:32Speaker 1: and I was with Tawny and we were like that
- 4:35Speaker 1: was so when we're deciding which place to go, and
- 4:37Speaker 1: she was like, I actually have a client that can
- 4:39Speaker 1: book you a trip so quick. This is what she
- 4:42Speaker 1: does for a living. So she connected me with her,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and she was like, I could do either, but why
- 4:50Speaker 1: not why not do Greece? You know what I mean, Like,
- 4:52Speaker 1: just do it, I can, we can figure it out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So we just did it. Her name is Sinnem and
- 4:56Speaker 1: actually all of her employees are women, like the little
- 5:00Speaker 1: like yeah, modern woman Energy company, and so Tony connected
- 5:04Speaker 1: me to her that day and so that's kind of
- 5:07Speaker 1: what we were like, you know what, it's going to
- 5:10Speaker 1: be a wild year and let's just go ball to
- 5:15Speaker 1: the walls.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I love that. And we did, you know what, literal
- 5:21Speaker 2: balls to the correct of Greece. Yeah, and I'm very
- 5:26Speaker 2: happy that we did it. It looked from from an
- 5:29Speaker 2: Instagram standpoint, it looked perfect.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was perfect. It was actually perfect.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I'm like, did anything negative happen on this strip? Oh?
- 5:39Speaker 1: Well no, we did. There was like actually it was
- 5:41Speaker 1: really crazy because we had lunch reservations at this one
- 5:43Speaker 1: restaurant and they apparently had been shut down for two
- 5:46Speaker 1: days because they like didn't report money or something like
- 5:49Speaker 1: that the government, and so they basically just bumped everybody
- 5:54Speaker 1: a day later for the reservations. So we showed up
- 5:58Speaker 1: for our reservation or whatever. It was still close and
- 6:00Speaker 1: they're like, oh, we'll be up in an hour. We show,
- 6:02Speaker 1: we go and get a drink next door, and they
- 6:04Speaker 1: still hadn't. Then we came back and it was fully packed,
- 6:07Speaker 1: like there wasn't a seat in the house. We're like,
- 6:08Speaker 1: how did this happen in forty five minutes? And the
- 6:10Speaker 1: guy was just like so not nice, like it was
- 6:14Speaker 1: like the that was the one literally the only negative thing.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But Rob and I did not even we did not
- 6:19Speaker 1: let it affect us. We waited for ten minutes and
- 6:21Speaker 1: we were like the vibes in here are so negative
- 6:23Speaker 1: and we were like we just don't even want to
- 6:25Speaker 1: do that. So we found a really beach club next
- 6:27Speaker 1: door and spent like the whole day there drinking, taking
- 6:30Speaker 1: uzo shots with like at this guy on the beach
- 6:32Speaker 1: and just had a really good time.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, like you can't be waiting around for a fraudulent business.
- 6:38Speaker 1: No, right, and like not even nice, Like I'm like
- 6:40Speaker 1: I understand if there's like a lot of care it's
- 6:42Speaker 1: the way you handle situations, in my opinion, And he
- 6:44Speaker 1: was just so rude, Like if it were me, I
- 6:47Speaker 1: would be so apologetic and like look people in the eye.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And he was just like it was so crazy, he's.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Just not having a good day. Yeah, we won't let
- 6:53Speaker 2: we won't let that define his character. But it didn't
- 6:56Speaker 2: need to bring you all down.
- 6:57Speaker 1: No, And we didn't let it bring us down. And
- 6:58Speaker 1: we're like, vibes in here are not high because everybody
- 7:01Speaker 1: you could tell you just look around, everybody's arms across
- 7:03Speaker 1: like angry. And I was like, this is not the vibe.
- 7:05Speaker 2: That is not the sunshine mine new new news.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So we picked up our little rear ends and walked
- 7:10Speaker 1: right on over next door and it was amazing. Okay, great, Yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: ten out of ten highly recommend We were a meekonos.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yeah the whole time, the whole time.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And what was it? Was it crowded? Was it hot?
- 7:23Speaker 2: What was it? What was it?
- 7:24Speaker 1: It was hot? So hot, like it was like the
- 7:27Speaker 1: perfect weather. But it was really funny because I kept
- 7:30Speaker 1: seeing all these So we went out to lunch one
- 7:32Speaker 1: day and.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I spot tinks double sighting. Wow, Like, what is the
- 7:41Speaker 2: of all the people that are in like the social
- 7:44Speaker 2: media just in your world, right, that you were into
- 7:48Speaker 2: Tinks and Meekaness.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Literally so funny. It's like Clocker and I'm talking and
- 7:55Speaker 1: I was like, should I go say hi to her?
- 7:57Speaker 1: And Rob was like, yeah, of course you have to.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Was like, I don't know. This feels dicey. It really
- 8:04Speaker 1: could go either way, right, So then I texted you
- 8:07Speaker 1: and Sam and was like, is she going to come
- 8:10Speaker 1: on the podcast? I need to know if she's aware
- 8:11Speaker 1: of who I am, because I cannot handle that again.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Second, I do think we have a lot of people
- 8:16Speaker 2: who come into our podcast and have no idea who
- 8:19Speaker 2: we are. I know, I know.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But the fact that I've already gone up to her,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you know what I mean and.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Talked about that experience correct, yeah, I.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Was like I just can't do that again. And so
- 8:31Speaker 1: I ended up going over to her, got up the courage,
- 8:33Speaker 1: a little liquid courage, and she was like, hey, babe.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I was like, oh, this is what I was hoping for,
- 8:41Speaker 1: the like BFF, the little emoji collective. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And I was like I think we're trying to get
- 8:47Speaker 1: you on the pod. She was like yeah. And then
- 8:51Speaker 1: that was a very brief interaction. She was on her
- 8:53Speaker 1: way out. Yeah yeah, yeah, great, but I left feeling rejuvenated.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I just am excited we are having her on.
- 9:01Speaker 2: By the way we have I think we have a
- 9:03Speaker 2: date locked in. But I'm just excited to rehash these
- 9:07Speaker 2: interactions that you had.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Can't wait to get her perspective on this.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Me too, I know. And she was actually not drinking
- 9:13Speaker 1: that day at that place because she had been hung
- 9:15Speaker 1: over from like the night before or whatever. She was
- 9:18Speaker 1: like sticks over and I'd probably run after her. I
- 9:20Speaker 1: was like thanks, because it was kind of like my
- 9:23Speaker 1: first official day there, right, so I was jet lagged
- 9:26Speaker 1: and like drunk. Yeah, yeah, all the things, all the things.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Did you see Alex Earl was also there?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yes, you told me that I did try to look.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I was aware. Yeah yeah. And then I saw Chris
- 9:37Speaker 1: and Cavalieri was there. Yeah, and I actually invited her
- 9:40Speaker 1: to get lunch with us. Yeah, she was going to
- 9:43Speaker 1: she was moving hotels that day.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Oh, I know she with her boyfriend, yeah, Montana boy. Yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 2: that would have been one I needed to know the
- 9:52Speaker 2: tea on.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I know, we did try to connect, I try we
- 9:55Speaker 1: tried to kind of connect like twice, but are just
- 9:59Speaker 1: the schedules just didn't really shifts in the night and yeah, yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I know, wow.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a Meccano summer. It was a party.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Saw zac Efron was there, like I don't know. Yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 1: it was weird.
- 10:10Speaker 2: There was something scary in the news about him, right.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Yeah, he like got an accident in a pool and
- 10:15Speaker 1: Abiza Nebithatha, not Mecas no, not making us Wow.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Okay, so y'all how was the flight?
- 10:25Speaker 1: Okay, so it was a long flight. We flew from
- 10:29Speaker 1: LA to Atlanta, Atlanta to Athens, Athens to mikon Nos. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 1: she was grothy.
- 10:36Speaker 2: There's no direct from LA to Athens.
- 10:39Speaker 1: No, oh no, not to Athens, but there's like a
- 10:43Speaker 1: direct to pair you know, there's like direct other.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Places to Europe. Yeah, orect.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys, I need to find
- 10:49Speaker 1: a Let me ask Robbie to send me a picture
- 10:51Speaker 1: of this thing. So he bought me this a long
- 10:53Speaker 1: time ago. So I'm the type of person where like
- 10:55Speaker 1: when you're flying on an airplane and I put the
- 10:58Speaker 1: the trade table down and I can put my hands
- 11:00Speaker 1: on it, and that's how I sleep. Wow out that
- 11:03Speaker 1: I prefer that to just like sitting back with like
- 11:05Speaker 1: a neck pillow.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So years ago, Robbie bought me this contraption on Amazon.
- 11:10Speaker 1: You blow it up in the.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You put your head in and.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Then you put your arms through. And he bought this
- 11:16Speaker 1: years ago, and he's like, I think you should bring
- 11:18Speaker 1: it on the flight because we were going to take
- 11:19Speaker 1: like our flight from Atlanta to Athens was like nine
- 11:21Speaker 1: hours or something. He's like, we should really sleep on it.
- 11:24Speaker 1: And so I was like, okay, sure, why not, I'll
- 11:26Speaker 1: bring it. Let me tell you that thing was game changing.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I bet it looks so comfortable, but was it embarrassing? Up?
- 11:36Speaker 1: I made Robbie do it. I was like, I need
- 11:38Speaker 1: you to blow this up. And I had to like
- 11:40Speaker 1: apologize to the people around me. I was like, this looks
- 11:42Speaker 1: very big, but it's just gonna sit on my lap,
- 11:44Speaker 1: so I don't worry about me.
- 11:46Speaker 2: What seat were you in? I was in the middle seat.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you it was the best. I don't
- 11:55Speaker 1: know how much you paid for. I gotta I gotta
- 11:58Speaker 1: get the pictures. Send me picks of me sleeping.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I've seen it and I've been like I would sleep
- 12:04Speaker 2: so well with that because I also I can't sleep
- 12:07Speaker 2: sitting back right, but I also get uncomfortable leaning on
- 12:10Speaker 2: the way on the tray tables.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you wake up in your neck and your back
- 12:13Speaker 1: are like oh oh yeah.
- 12:14Speaker 2: And if someone puts their seat back, you're literally yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 1: So this is like you're condensed into your own little
- 12:20Speaker 1: it's just on your lap. I don't even have to
- 12:21Speaker 1: put it on the trade table. It's high, so you're
- 12:23Speaker 1: literally just like bending your head over and you put
- 12:26Speaker 1: your arms through it. It's like you're hugging a pillow.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It was so insanely amazing. I highly recommend. I'm gonna
- 12:34Speaker 1: go rate and review it on Amazon so we can
- 12:36Speaker 1: enjoy let them know.
- 12:38Speaker 2: So let's put pictures up and everything.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It was phenomenal.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I'm honestly influenced because I thought my only thing is
- 12:47Speaker 2: thinking about me blowing it up and the people around me.
- 12:50Speaker 2: But I would definitely do like an aisle or window.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I don't think I could do it in the middle scene.
- 12:55Speaker 1: It was the big plane, so it was like the
- 12:57Speaker 1: four in the middle. Does that make sense?
- 12:59Speaker 2: Oh, so there was it was like Robbie, me, someone else,
- 13:02Speaker 2: someone else, Okay, yeah, yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But I explained. I was like, normally I'm a try
- 13:07Speaker 1: sit on my tray table and put my head down,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but now with this, I don't have to do that
- 13:11Speaker 1: hurt my neck in my back, and they're like, I'm.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Sure you got an extra one over there. I know
- 13:18Speaker 2: you wish. And you said you were saying that Robbie
- 13:21Speaker 2: has a theory that what seat you choose on a
- 13:25Speaker 2: plane says a lot about the type of person you are.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm curious when you get on a like
- 13:30Speaker 1: not a big plane, like a normal plane with the
- 13:32Speaker 1: with the like three and three, if you had your
- 13:36Speaker 1: choice easton which seat would you choose?
- 13:38Speaker 3: Window always?
- 13:40Speaker 1: Window always? Okay? I am too a window always? What
- 13:43Speaker 1: would you choose?
- 13:43Speaker 2: Window always? Oh?
- 13:45Speaker 1: We're all window always? Okay, So I need to I'm
- 13:48Speaker 1: the window person. Robbie needs the aisle. And he's convinced
- 13:52Speaker 1: that window people prefer to inconvenience other people, and ile
- 13:58Speaker 1: people prefer to be inconvenienced.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting. I just know that if I'm in
- 14:05Speaker 2: the window that I'm not going to inconvenience anyone.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And I'll hold you stay in there.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:10Speaker 1: So that's usually my thing too, is like I'll just
- 14:12Speaker 1: hold it and I'll be I'll just stay in the
- 14:14Speaker 1: window because the last thing I want to do is
- 14:15Speaker 1: get up for somebody else. That's probably big thing. Robbie
- 14:19Speaker 1: loves to sit in the aisle. He's like because he
- 14:20Speaker 1: has to get up to pee every however many seconds.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So he's like, I would rather just have not have
- 14:24Speaker 1: to inconvenience anyone else to get up, and I don't
- 14:27Speaker 1: care getting up for anybody else.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I was like, I think what he needs to admit
- 14:32Speaker 2: is being self aware to know that he has a small,
- 14:34Speaker 2: small bladder and he needs to wee wee a lot.
- 14:39Speaker 2: And you don't think it's a theory, no, because I
- 14:43Speaker 2: don't want to inconvenience anybody ever, Like, that's the last
- 14:47Speaker 2: thing I live my life trying not to take it.
- 14:49Speaker 1: You just get a UTI bladder infection. Hold it in
- 14:52Speaker 1: the window.
- 14:52Speaker 2: And you also need to be aware that you are
- 14:54Speaker 2: susceptible to UTI is more than most people in the aisle.
- 14:59Speaker 2: You would just hold your type should definitely be in
- 15:01Speaker 2: the aisle.
- 15:02Speaker 1: But I can't. I can't because nothing annoys me more
- 15:05Speaker 1: than having to get up for somebody else.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, so this is this is the personality
- 15:10Speaker 2: of it all. Your personality type is fine inconveniencing people
- 15:16Speaker 2: because you don't want to be inconvenience, But you also
- 15:18Speaker 2: have a lot of needs and sensitivity, so you know
- 15:23Speaker 2: that to protect yourself, you're going to have to inconvenience
- 15:26Speaker 2: other people. But you'd rather do that than be inconvenienced. Yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 2: I'm more. I'm not going to inconvenience anyone.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I will have a bladder eruption, so you just hold it.
- 15:36Speaker 2: But I want to be on the window.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Interesting, So I don't know if that's accurate theory. What
- 15:41Speaker 2: do you think.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Else you're into my theory.
- 15:44Speaker 3: I mean, I have a theory of my own. I
- 15:48Speaker 3: don't think it's about inconveniencing people or being inconvenience.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Is not an inconveniencer neither am I you will if
- 15:57Speaker 2: it's protects your head, I do.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I mean when I fly, I I never use the
- 16:03Speaker 3: bathroom on the plane. I just go in my pants.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Yeah time, Yeah, I just I And this is terrible,
- 16:09Speaker 3: but like I will try to time my hydrations. I
- 16:11Speaker 3: don't have to use because the idea of like squeezing
- 16:13Speaker 3: by people and then maybe you have to wait in
- 16:15Speaker 3: the line at the back. It just makes me too anxious.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I don't like. I just don't want to deal with it.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Allison is anile person because she has to use the
- 16:21Speaker 3: bathroom a lot. And I'm a window person because I
- 16:24Speaker 3: like to look out the window and I like to
- 16:25Speaker 3: see things.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I like to look out the window.
- 16:27Speaker 3: You know, you this whole little raw dog and thing
- 16:29Speaker 3: that's a raw dog in the flight. I raw dog
- 16:32Speaker 3: the window all the time. Wow, I just stare at
- 16:34Speaker 3: the window. I like. I fly a lot of Southwest flights.
- 16:38Speaker 3: We don't have a little computer on there. I like
- 16:40Speaker 3: to just look out the window and go, oh, I
- 16:41Speaker 3: bet we're over Arizona right now.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Wow, okay window. Yes, yes, I do like that too.
- 16:47Speaker 2: But here's my thing. If they put me, like, if
- 16:50Speaker 2: I don't choose my seat and they put me in
- 16:51Speaker 2: an aisle seat, I'm fine with that. Like, I'm not like,
- 16:54Speaker 2: but if I had my choice, I'd choose window. Haley's
- 16:57Speaker 2: an aisle person because she peeys a lot. And so
- 16:59Speaker 2: if I normal, like, give her the aisle and I'll
- 17:01Speaker 2: take middle so that she can have the aisle because
- 17:03Speaker 2: she peas a lot.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was very funny on one of our flights.
- 17:07Speaker 1: This guy was in the in the window and we
- 17:09Speaker 1: were playing cards and we were in like a heavy
- 17:12Speaker 1: duty round and I could feel his energy like he
- 17:15Speaker 1: had I need to pee energy, and he kept waiting
- 17:18Speaker 1: for our game to finish to like ask us.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It was actually really cute.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I know.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I would be so so nervous if someone nice to
- 17:26Speaker 2: me was in an intense.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Card game and to get up right and intense, like
- 17:31Speaker 1: if he wins, I'm like no, Like I'm like, yeah,
- 17:34Speaker 1: my hands are going up and I'm like.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Nor, guy, what is he? He's like an inconveniencer.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I don't want to make this like two airport airplane heavy,
- 17:45Speaker 3: but I do like, if you're in the middle seat,
- 17:47Speaker 3: what's the arm rest etiquette?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Like?
- 17:50Speaker 3: Because I always figure if you're in the middle seat,
- 17:52Speaker 3: you should get both. Yes. I flew recently and I
- 17:55Speaker 3: was in the middle because I was late or something,
- 17:58Speaker 3: and both people on either side we were using the
- 18:00Speaker 3: armrest and I had to sit and I'm like, I'm
- 18:02Speaker 3: not a really big guy, but like my arms are long.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I just sit like this the whole time. That is
- 18:06Speaker 3: so it sucks so bad, And I was like trying
- 18:08Speaker 3: to like make it I didn't want to ask for
- 18:09Speaker 3: the arm rest, but I was like, oh, that's just
- 18:12Speaker 3: doing this, and they never never relinquished the arm rest.
- 18:15Speaker 2: They don't make it easy because if you have so
- 18:18Speaker 2: only if you have the window is that convenient because
- 18:20Speaker 2: you can lean to the side and rest like on
- 18:23Speaker 2: that side. But if you lean out on the aisle
- 18:26Speaker 2: to the aisle side, you're at risk of getting hit.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Yeah, smashed actually.
- 18:30Speaker 2: But normally, if I'm in the middle, if Haley's with me,
- 18:32Speaker 2: I just lean on her. But if I am by
- 18:34Speaker 2: myself in the middle and strangers, I'll just put my
- 18:37Speaker 2: elbows there and if it'll like nudge them and I'll
- 18:39Speaker 2: just be like.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I've had a nudge a few people my day.
- 18:45Speaker 2: It's just like, hey, I'll share it with them.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I'll share it with them. If you're comfortable, then I'm
- 18:49Speaker 1: fine too.
- 18:49Speaker 2: If you if it's weird, do arrest your corner on there.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I'll rest my corner. You want to go havevesis on
- 18:55Speaker 1: this thing, I'll go halvesies on this thing.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but they don't be making it cause I'll tell
- 19:00Speaker 2: you that much. And once someone leaves the seatback, Wait,
- 19:02Speaker 2: that's the last thing I'm gonna ask, are you a
- 19:05Speaker 2: seat recliner?
- 19:07Speaker 3: I have never reclined my seat.
- 19:08Speaker 1: No, I'm not a seat reclined A controversial thing.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yes, you've never reclined your seat.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Maybe if I'm like I just feeling forward, I lean
- 19:15Speaker 1: more so, Yeah, girl.
- 19:17Speaker 3: There was no one sitting behind me, and I'm like,
- 19:19Speaker 3: I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna recline the seat, and
- 19:20Speaker 3: like I couldn't get it.
- 19:21Speaker 1: To work, and like this, I don't find the benefit
- 19:25Speaker 1: to me, it's like, doesn't recly. I mean, if I'm
- 19:26Speaker 1: gonna recline, get me gonna go all the way back?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Like to me, that little one inch is like.
- 19:31Speaker 2: So I only recline if the person in front of
- 19:34Speaker 2: me reclines. So I'll stay up right until the person
- 19:37Speaker 2: in front of me because like once that space is taken,
- 19:40Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, I.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Think that I have like a thing against recliners because
- 19:45Speaker 1: since I put my head on the head rest, yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 1: when they recline, it squeezes my little head.
- 19:50Speaker 2: You know. I always have to look back and make
- 19:52Speaker 2: sure if it's someone like super tall or like that
- 19:54Speaker 2: feels like they're already like, oh, do you know what.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Else pisses me off. People that when they get up
- 20:01Speaker 1: to go to the bathroom and they put their hands
- 20:03Speaker 1: on your and you're.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Like, whoa excuse me?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Use your own your own that you can jiggle up.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm sleeping over here.
- 20:12Speaker 2: That is so true. People like all their way like
- 20:15Speaker 2: shake it, shake it. Wow. I could write a whole
- 20:21Speaker 2: write an essay about airport behavior. It is insane to me.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Honestly, same, same, same, same. I had a woman and
- 20:29Speaker 1: I don't know exactly what she was doing because she
- 20:31Speaker 1: was speaking in French, but I swear she was giving
- 20:33Speaker 1: a tutorial about turbulence to the woman next to her,
- 20:36Speaker 1: like the woman behind us. She was so loud. Her
- 20:39Speaker 1: voice was like she was in a gym and she
- 20:41Speaker 1: was trying to compete against like basketball players.
- 20:43Speaker 2: It was so this is an interesting take from someone
- 20:46Speaker 2: who loves chatting on a plane.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Shot all you want, but don't yell it like you're
- 20:51Speaker 1: talking in a gymnasium full of athletes.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I think when you're talking on a plane, it's really loud.
- 20:57Speaker 2: So you don't think you're talking loud me, Well, no, no,
- 21:02Speaker 2: I'm saying like I think when you talk on a
- 21:04Speaker 2: in general, as a person, when you're talking on the
- 21:06Speaker 2: plane because the white noise is so loud. You think
- 21:10Speaker 2: that you're talking at a normal level, but you're yelling
- 21:13Speaker 2: to everybody else.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it was. I was like, well, we're
- 21:16Speaker 1: getting a dissertation on turbulence right now.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Stand. Yeah, how did your disconnecting off your phone and
- 21:25Speaker 2: stuff go? Uh?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I think I did it for like two days. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Know you were silent and then all of a sudden
- 21:31Speaker 2: it was just like that content.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Yeah, well there was so you know, I don't go
- 21:35Speaker 1: to the bathroom off in I want to say, I
- 21:37Speaker 1: pooped like twice the whole trip. I know how many
- 21:40Speaker 1: days total? Seven? Wow, it's very bad.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah that's good.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But I think like the traveling messes with my system,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and then I need time to like settle in. And
- 21:50Speaker 1: by the time we settled in, it was like time
- 21:52Speaker 1: to go again. But Robbie has a very natural flow,
- 21:58Speaker 1: if you will.
- 21:59Speaker 2: He's ever messed up, No, no, never affected.
- 22:03Speaker 1: And so yeah, I had time in my eves to play,
- 22:07Speaker 1: to peruse my phone, so I would like upload. I
- 22:10Speaker 1: didn't really like I wasn't on my phone during the day,
- 22:12Speaker 1: but I would get on my phone like at night.
- 22:14Speaker 1: But you know. What I realized is I think because
- 22:17Speaker 1: it's not a job for me, Like social media is
- 22:19Speaker 1: not a job for me. It's like extracurricular activity. So
- 22:22Speaker 1: for me, it was fun. Like I wasn't checking my emails,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I was off my emails. I didn't check any of
- 22:27Speaker 1: that stuff. I didn't respond to work stuff. I just
- 22:29Speaker 1: was like posting.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what it's about. If it's fun, it doesn't
- 22:33Speaker 2: call stress.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I had zero stress.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, then no need to be present the content
- 22:40Speaker 2: right exactly, Like what do you need to listen to
- 22:43Speaker 2: him poop?
- 22:44Speaker 1: No, no, exactly, or.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You could read a book, but we you know, that's
- 22:48Speaker 2: that's we got to make sure it's the right length.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I actually brought a book, and Robbie bought me a
- 22:54Speaker 1: book before we left. He brought me this book on
- 22:56Speaker 1: like Cleopatra.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Cool, there's the homework, bro Yeah, Like are we writing a.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Report like an inspirational like female story?
- 23:09Speaker 2: Oh oh I see yeah yeah yeah, but I left
- 23:11Speaker 2: that in the States.
- 23:14Speaker 4: You and you said I'm not even bringing no, I
- 23:17Speaker 4: forgot it, no, mother, but you're quite the Reid Smith
- 23:26Speaker 4: read Smith Wordsmith Smith normally how they say him.
- 23:29Speaker 2: But I'm not a writer, right, So I guess read
- 23:32Speaker 2: Smith is great.
- 23:33Speaker 1: So you're just do you take the time at night
- 23:36Speaker 1: to just read a book?
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I read. I've read three books in the last
- 23:40Speaker 2: three weeks. I know, I bought one. I bought another
- 23:44Speaker 2: one for to go to Lallapalooza. But I didn't. I
- 23:47Speaker 2: couldn't get it. It was a different author because I've been
- 23:49Speaker 2: reading the same author and they're like instantly I'm into him.
- 23:52Speaker 2: This one I'm not. I don't even know. I just
- 23:56Speaker 2: it was on Reese's Book Club. Was rushed. I felt rushed.
- 24:01Speaker 1: You know, have you read you know how Blake Blake
- 24:04Speaker 1: Lively has that new movie? Yeah? Did you read that?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh, very another very easy read.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I was gonna say, the story seems very good.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Allison read that this weekend. It's really read for
- 24:17Speaker 3: the movie.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's literally I would read it again just to
- 24:20Speaker 2: freshen up because it's such a fast read. Really, yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 2: just fresh, just a freshing up. And she also it's
- 24:26Speaker 2: the author is Colleen Hoover, and she has another one
- 24:28Speaker 2: called Verity. It is like such a it's like a thriller.
- 24:31Speaker 2: It's crazy. Another great one.
- 24:34Speaker 1: She was at the AMC Theater one night Blake.
- 24:38Speaker 2: No, yeah, Colleen, Yeah, they're doing a lot of press,
- 24:41Speaker 2: I feel or they were.
- 24:42Speaker 1: She was like, at the AMC in Century City.
- 24:45Speaker 3: That's great AMC.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Yeah they're Mozzarella sticks. Oh I got hot. I gardened
- 24:51Speaker 2: one day and went to a daytime.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Movie even to understand, and.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Got mazzarella sticks. And I was like, this is the
- 24:59Speaker 2: greatest thing I've ever put in my really.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you know I never got the Manzarelli sticks there.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Well, you got a garden and get the monzarella appreciated.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I got Moti nut donuts.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Mochi nut donuts from the.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Mochi Nut not in the movie theater. No, it was
- 25:18Speaker 2: in the food court.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You know what we saw before we left for our vacation,
- 25:26Speaker 1: what Deadpool versus Wolverine and just crickets in here.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I mean, I am very impressed that you when saw that,
- 25:35Speaker 3: especially opening weekend, it.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Was so good, like great right the boys. Yeah. I
- 25:42Speaker 2: didn't choose.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I just have to confirm I didn't choose to go
- 25:45Speaker 1: see this movie. We went for the kids. But I
- 25:48Speaker 1: that's why I get so surprised and I like love
- 25:50Speaker 1: it because I would never go see it if it
- 25:52Speaker 1: wasn't for them, but I loved it. Like I was laughing,
- 25:56Speaker 1: I was singing, I was cheering.
- 26:00Speaker 3: That makes me so happy. It's so good.
- 26:02Speaker 1: It's so good. I've never seen superhero movie. Is that funny?
- 26:07Speaker 3: No, the Deadpool ones are always very funny, and like,
- 26:12Speaker 3: you know, that's his whole thing, is that he like
- 26:14Speaker 3: breaks the fourth wall. And the other two Deadpool movies,
- 26:16Speaker 3: I think you'd like.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I watched the first one, yeah, yeah, which I also enjoyed.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Well, I'm so glad you loved Deadpool and Woiverine. It's
- 26:23Speaker 3: so fine.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I might be like a Deadpool head. Is that what
- 26:25Speaker 1: his fans are called?
- 26:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we can call them that.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Yeah, deadpool head. I don't know what they're called.
- 26:31Speaker 2: This is a fan Deadpool fan and Pool fan.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Uh, Tanya called me or I was at the County
- 26:37Speaker 3: the OC fair and Tanya called me. It was like
- 26:40Speaker 3: Robbie has some questions about Deadpool and Wolverine, and I
- 26:43Speaker 3: was like in aloud. I was on a ride and
- 26:46Speaker 3: then I was eating fried oreos and I couldn't talk
- 26:48Speaker 3: on the phone and I was like call me, now,
- 26:50Speaker 3: call me, And then then he didn't call me. Yeah,
- 26:52Speaker 3: so I still don't know what his questions were.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I don't know what they were either, but he had
- 26:56Speaker 1: all these questions and I go, do you know who
- 26:57Speaker 1: would have the answers? And he goes, there's nothing more.
- 27:00Speaker 3: I love to get those kind of questions. Honestly, there's
- 27:04Speaker 3: a lot of deep lore in that.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Movie because you're that was like rock and a hard place.
- 27:08Speaker 2: You're at the OC Fair, like Choice with the Orange something. Yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 2: Deadpool questions.
- 27:16Speaker 3: I mean truly the greatest moment though, to be at
- 27:18Speaker 3: the OC Fair and then have somebody like I need
- 27:19Speaker 3: to talk to about Marvel. I was like, oh, man,
- 27:21Speaker 3: have I died?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Is this heaven?
- 27:25Speaker 1: I feel like you had quite the busy uh, quite
- 27:28Speaker 1: the busy week as well.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I did.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You were in Canada, Chicago? I was, I was alway
- 27:34Speaker 1: trains and automobiles.
- 27:36Speaker 2: No trains, yeah, planes and automobiles. Yeah, but let's take
- 27:41Speaker 2: a break and come back. Yeah, we'll talk about it then.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Oh well, we're just just.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Making sure you saw that.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah that was what We're back all right. So yeah,
- 28:16Speaker 2: I went to Canada to see Haley and we That
- 28:21Speaker 2: was a three week, long time stint. I was so
- 28:26Speaker 2: excited to get there to see her, and I went
- 28:31Speaker 2: down to Newport to drop Phoebe off with my sister,
- 28:35Speaker 2: and so I stayed the night with them, and then
- 28:37Speaker 2: I got up the next day and I was like,
- 28:39Speaker 2: I had a great morning. So I was like, you
- 28:42Speaker 2: know how this might be totally unrelatable, but in my mind,
- 28:47Speaker 2: I feel like some people will relate to this. You know,
- 28:49Speaker 2: when you wake up and like time wise, you're right
- 28:53Speaker 2: on time, and your hair looks good, and like your
- 28:56Speaker 2: makeup is like it's like perfect, like you're like it
- 29:00Speaker 2: did what it needed to do. Both of my eyebrows
- 29:02Speaker 2: were even. I was just like, Wow, this is gonna
- 29:05Speaker 2: be a great travel day. Yeah, never had that interesting, Okay,
- 29:09Speaker 2: well maybe other people have. And so I get to
- 29:13Speaker 2: the airport and I was flying Air Canada. And so
- 29:16Speaker 2: I go up to the Air Canada check in and
- 29:19Speaker 2: she's like, oh, you're actually with United. It's like a
- 29:23Speaker 2: you know when one airline they are merged.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Your biggest fere, my biggest fear.
- 29:27Speaker 2: So she goes, I can check you in for your
- 29:29Speaker 2: connecting flight once you get to Canada, but then but
- 29:32Speaker 2: you have to go to United to check in. So
- 29:34Speaker 2: I'm kind of like at this point, like I got
- 29:36Speaker 2: to hustle a little bit because where the heck is United,
- 29:39Speaker 2: Like I don't When I get to the airport, there's
- 29:42Speaker 2: no route the way I do the airport, which is
- 29:44Speaker 2: very stressful but also gives me the adrenaline rush that
- 29:47Speaker 2: I love is that there's no room for air Why
- 29:50Speaker 2: do you like that? It's something sick. I don't know.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I don't know why I like it, but I just
- 29:55Speaker 2: like that I can get there and get everything just
- 29:57Speaker 2: done at the time that it cakes. So I go
- 30:04Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh no, this is an error. So
- 30:06Speaker 2: I've gotta like rush because this could be crucial. I
- 30:10Speaker 2: get to the United desk and the lady that's helping.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I'm watching all the people helping to see like who's demeanor.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I needed, you know, I needed good vibes, and this
- 30:22Speaker 2: woman is being so nice to these people. So I'm like,
- 30:25Speaker 2: this is my girl. She's gonna get me on the plane,
- 30:27Speaker 2: which at this point I'm I'm like, I have a minute, basically,
- 30:31Speaker 2: so I go to check it. She goes, you need
- 30:32Speaker 2: to They go, you need to check it on the screen.
- 30:34Speaker 2: So I check it on the screen and it goes.
- 30:36Speaker 2: You're late, like see an attendant or whatever. And I'm like,
- 30:39Speaker 2: oh no, but it's a minute.
- 30:41Speaker 1: You like that feeling?
- 30:42Speaker 2: No, I don't. I don't like this feeling.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm like.
- 30:45Speaker 2: This is not good. So I'm like this girl, she's
- 30:48Speaker 2: having a great day though it's one literally one minute.
- 30:51Speaker 2: But because it was a computer, it like you know,
- 30:54Speaker 2: it just has an automatic time off. So I get
- 30:57Speaker 2: up there after they leave, she's like, have a great fight.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I got there. Her whole demeanor shift. She's like, no,
- 31:04Speaker 2: are you late? And I was like she no, because
- 31:07Speaker 2: I showed her the little yeah she's a podcast whatever.
- 31:14Speaker 2: So I show her, like the ticket the machine gave
- 31:16Speaker 2: me and she was like are you late? And she
- 31:18Speaker 2: like looks and she's like you're a minute late. They
- 31:19Speaker 2: locked it and I was like, I'm so sorry.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I was like I went to the wrong thing. Yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 1: I said, I went to Air.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I booked it with Air Canada and then I came
- 31:26Speaker 2: down here and she's like, well they're shut. And I
- 31:29Speaker 2: was like I was like can you And she was
- 31:30Speaker 2: like are you flying business? And I was like yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 2: And so she was like, let me call and see,
- 31:33Speaker 2: and so she calls and she like yeah, okay, yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 2: I thought so yeah, the gates shut, and I'm like okay, shoot.
- 31:40Speaker 2: So she's immediately just like, let me try to rebook you.
- 31:43Speaker 2: So she's like it's over at this point, and I'm like, okay,
- 31:47Speaker 2: dang it, it was my fault whatever.
- 31:49Speaker 1: But you don't even say, like I haven't seen my
- 31:50Speaker 1: girlfriend in three weeks.
- 31:51Speaker 2: No she didn't. You know, when you get the feeling
- 31:54Speaker 2: no one who.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Cares at least you try do, you don't just let
- 31:57Speaker 1: somebody know.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I was like, is there anything? Is there a later flight?
- 32:01Speaker 2: Like can I get on anything else that will get
- 32:03Speaker 2: just get me to Vancouver and then I can get
- 32:04Speaker 2: on my connecting flight because I already have the ticket
- 32:06Speaker 2: for that, And she was just like no. She was like,
- 32:09Speaker 2: the only thing I see like would get you there tomorrow.
- 32:12Speaker 2: She's like, there's one that goes to Denver first, Like
- 32:14Speaker 2: she she didn't. She was just she was like, you know,
- 32:18Speaker 2: some people I've gotten too places late, and they're like,
- 32:21Speaker 2: especially if it's a guy, like I'm not this is
- 32:24Speaker 2: just a privilege. But like if I go up to
- 32:26Speaker 2: a man and I'm like, oh, I'm like late and
- 32:28Speaker 2: there sometimes they just want to be the hero.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Yeah, there are some people that have those you want
- 32:33Speaker 1: to be the Shiro.
- 32:34Speaker 2: And she didn't want to be the Shiro, which was fine.
- 32:36Speaker 2: It was it was not her fault, it was my fault.
- 32:39Speaker 2: So she goes go back down to Air Canada and
- 32:43Speaker 2: see if they haven't, cause you're gonna have to rebook
- 32:46Speaker 2: it with them. So I go down to Air Canada.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I wait in line, and she goes, sorry, you're gonna
- 32:52Speaker 2: have to because your furt you booked with them and
- 32:54Speaker 2: it was under them. You have to go back and
- 32:56Speaker 2: book with them. So I walk back. I find another
- 33:00Speaker 2: girl to help me, because I was like, this lady
- 33:02Speaker 2: is we're over each other. And she helped me book
- 33:06Speaker 2: it and she's like, but you have to go back
- 33:07Speaker 2: to Air Canada to get to print out your ticket.
- 33:11Speaker 2: So I went back and forth like five times.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I was like, are these terminals?
- 33:15Speaker 2: They were like a terminal part okay, so not such
- 33:18Speaker 2: a bad walk, A lengthy walk back and forth that
- 33:21Speaker 2: many times I'm calling Haley like I'm so sorry, I'm
- 33:26Speaker 2: so mad at myself, and she's upset. She's like, what
- 33:29Speaker 2: can I do to help you? Because even I was like,
- 33:31Speaker 2: if I can fit everything into a carry on, can
- 33:34Speaker 2: I still get on and She's like, well, what are
- 33:36Speaker 2: you gonna do with your big bag? And I'm like,
- 33:38Speaker 2: I valeid my car here. I parked here, so I
- 33:40Speaker 2: can just go throw it in the car if I
- 33:41Speaker 2: can make it. She's like no, so she just yeah.
- 33:44Speaker 2: It was not good. So anyways, got on a much
- 33:48Speaker 2: later flight, which is fine because Haley was working super
- 33:50Speaker 2: late the whole time. Anyway, but I finally got up there,
- 33:55Speaker 2: got to see her. She was working until Like anyway,
- 33:58Speaker 2: before you get to that part, Okay, did that whole
- 34:01Speaker 2: experience make you change your mind on your airport etiquette etiquette? Well? Yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 2: I mean all my flights for Lallapalooza were you early.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I wouldn't say early, but I wasn't like I wasn't
- 34:15Speaker 2: a minute to spare.
- 34:17Speaker 1: So you didn't really learn a lesson.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I learned a lesson that I should be better about
- 34:24Speaker 2: being on time.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Something I really like about this is that you acknowledge,
- 34:30Speaker 3: like I like the feeling of getting there with no
- 34:32Speaker 3: time to spare, because there's a lot of people that
- 34:34Speaker 3: are like, well, no, there's traffic and I woke up.
- 34:36Speaker 3: You know, there's all people that like say, it's like,
- 34:38Speaker 3: oh no, I try to get there early, but all
- 34:39Speaker 3: these external forces stop me from doing it, and you're
- 34:42Speaker 3: very self effacing, like, no, I do this on intentionally, right,
- 34:45Speaker 3: because I like the feeling and that would be so
- 34:47Speaker 3: satisfying to be like I have no time to spare
- 34:49Speaker 3: and I still made it on the floor.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Right. It's like there's like an arrogance or something. I
- 34:55Speaker 2: don't know, Like it makes me feel like i've it
- 34:57Speaker 2: makes me feel like I'm in like a race, and
- 34:59Speaker 2: I did everything that I needed to do to like
- 35:01Speaker 2: get there without wasting any time. Anyways. It was great though,
- 35:06Speaker 2: because I had all this work stuff I needed to
- 35:08Speaker 2: film and shoot, and I was like I'm gonna have
- 35:11Speaker 2: to do in Canada while I'm with Haley, Like I'm
- 35:13Speaker 2: gonna have to figure out when I'm going to do this.
- 35:14Speaker 2: So I was able to go home, shoot all my stuff,
- 35:17Speaker 2: get all my work done, and then I went back
- 35:20Speaker 2: to the airport and got on my fight. So it
- 35:22Speaker 2: all worked out. Anyways. It was so it was such
- 35:28Speaker 2: a fun weekend together, like I was, so we were
- 35:33Speaker 2: both just so happy to be together and we had
- 35:35Speaker 2: such a great time. Like it's such a beautiful a BC, Canada. Yeah,
- 35:41Speaker 2: is that what you would put Columbia in Canada. Yeah,
- 35:46Speaker 2: it's so beautiful. Like we went on a boat ride
- 35:50Speaker 2: and it was like just jumping in the water and
- 35:52Speaker 2: being on the boat. It was so freaking fun. We
- 35:56Speaker 2: had the best time. And then she gets tomorrow. Wow,
- 36:02Speaker 2: we made it so it was really fun and it
- 36:10Speaker 2: was just like, I'm so proud of us with how
- 36:15Speaker 2: this time a part has gone because last year was
- 36:19Speaker 2: not the same. I'm proud of you too. No, why
- 36:25Speaker 2: do you every time I talked about Haley, you think
- 36:27Speaker 2: I'm crying?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Did she not look like she was getting emotional?
- 36:29Speaker 2: I literally no, I'm not emotional at all. Zero of emotion,
- 36:36Speaker 2: no feeling of I'm about to cry.
- 36:38Speaker 1: So when she comes home, are you gonna like put
- 36:40Speaker 1: a little sign up, get some flowers or.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Just like yeah, but that's a surprise. So she if
- 36:47Speaker 2: she listened, she didn't listen.
- 36:48Speaker 1: To the pod the spoiler alert, Robbie's been listening a
- 36:55Speaker 1: lot more lately, and I'm like, we made a rule, sir.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the and you get engaged. You it's like, yeah,
- 37:04Speaker 2: he used to be a part.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Yikes. I felt the same way though about our time together,
- 37:09Speaker 1: because I felt like we had just been. It's so
- 37:12Speaker 1: weird because I've never lived with somebody before, like I live.
- 37:15Speaker 1: We lived together, so it's like we're we spent every
- 37:17Speaker 1: night together, but because like one of the kids was sick,
- 37:22Speaker 1: then Robbie got sick, then I got sick. I feel
- 37:24Speaker 1: like the whole month of July we were very like distant,
- 37:28Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And so the trip was
- 37:30Speaker 1: just like really really nice because we were just like
- 37:33Speaker 1: together twenty.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Like like yeah, uninterrupted, uninterrupted, very present, intentional, living life
- 37:39Speaker 2: like to the fullest together.
- 37:41Speaker 1: It was really really nice.
- 37:41Speaker 2: I know That's how I felt too, And I feel
- 37:43Speaker 2: like it's also it's like knowing we only had basically
- 37:49Speaker 2: two and a half days.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's like just.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Like enjoy every moment that we have just being together,
- 37:56Speaker 2: and it's fun getting to be with all the people
- 37:57Speaker 2: that she's like working with, and yeah, you know, it
- 38:00Speaker 2: was fun to It's just it was it was just fun.
- 38:02Speaker 4: You know.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I left being like wow, that was such a fulfilling time.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Whereas sometimes when we go without seeing each other and
- 38:08Speaker 2: then we see each other, there's this like pressure to
- 38:10Speaker 2: make it like the best time ever, to make sure
- 38:13Speaker 2: that like every moment is perfect, and yeah, I think
- 38:16Speaker 2: we both were just I think she's so tired and
- 38:18Speaker 2: I was just excited to be with her that I
- 38:20Speaker 2: was like, I don't really care, literally don't care what
- 38:22Speaker 2: we do as long as we're getting to be with
- 38:25Speaker 2: each other. Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 1: We had like we had all these maybe like three
- 38:29Speaker 1: reservations at places that were like the places that you
- 38:32Speaker 1: need to go when you're in Mikanos and then the
- 38:34Speaker 1: rest of the time, like robb and I just kind
- 38:36Speaker 1: of like talked to like locals and figured out the
- 38:38Speaker 1: spots and would like go into town and just kind
- 38:40Speaker 1: of like whichever restaurant was like calling us. And some
- 38:43Speaker 1: of those were just like the most special, most fun.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Like we went up to this pasta place and the
- 38:48Speaker 1: hostess was like, oh, you guys, are you know, do
- 38:50Speaker 1: you want a romantic And we were like yeah, and
- 38:52Speaker 1: she put us up on this balcony. It was a
- 38:56Speaker 1: just fits a table for two. Yeah, and it was
- 38:58Speaker 1: just so freaking cute, you Like, it was just and
- 39:01Speaker 1: the food was amazing, and like, I don't know, I
- 39:03Speaker 1: just felt like everything was pushing us to the like
- 39:06Speaker 1: just good vibes.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you just you just gotta let sometimes you just
- 39:12Speaker 2: gotta let go.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Let go, and let God guide you to where you
- 39:16Speaker 1: need to go.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah, guided us, right, So yeah, I came back on Monday,
- 39:22Speaker 2: and then I had work stuff that I had to do,
- 39:25Speaker 2: and then I left Thursday for Lollapalooza, which was so
- 39:30Speaker 2: much fun. But my god, the walking that a festival entails.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not for the faint of heart.
- 39:38Speaker 2: But Chicago was so fun.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 2: But it was so funny because because we did the festival,
- 39:44Speaker 2: we would be so tired at night because the whole time,
- 39:47Speaker 2: Alley's like I can't wait, Like I love the city life,
- 39:50Speaker 2: Like I got all these recommendations for restaurants, and then
- 39:53Speaker 2: like after the festival would be like we just get
- 39:56Speaker 2: room service, tired, our feet hurt. Yeah, and you're not
- 40:00Speaker 2: like an outfit that you want to go like party
- 40:03Speaker 2: in a well definitely not party, but even just like
- 40:06Speaker 2: go to like a nice dinner. You know, you're kind
- 40:08Speaker 2: of like gross. It was so hot and muggy. So
- 40:12Speaker 2: but I will say, and this is not an ad,
- 40:14Speaker 2: but I went with Chase Bank and it was I
- 40:18Speaker 2: had no idea that like, Okay, this makes me feel dumb,
- 40:22Speaker 2: but I never knew, you know, when people talked about
- 40:24Speaker 2: perks of like credit cards and stuff. Yeah, I never
- 40:28Speaker 2: I felt so ignorant seeing what all the the perks
- 40:33Speaker 2: of having specific credit cards can get you. Like the
- 40:36Speaker 2: lounge that we were in, which obviously I was working
- 40:39Speaker 2: with him, but I also have the card, and I
- 40:41Speaker 2: was like, what the heck. It was an elevated lounge,
- 40:44Speaker 2: so you had a view to the main stage and
- 40:46Speaker 2: one of the side stages, and had like fans. It
- 40:49Speaker 2: had a bar they were passing out like Chicago pizza.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I feel Can I tell you that I feel the
- 40:54Speaker 1: same way about these credit cards. And like with the
- 40:57Speaker 1: airlines too, I'm like, we always are flying and I
- 41:00Speaker 1: don't have miles that I've never used at Delta like
- 41:03Speaker 1: I did, They.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Just stack up.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I don't know how to use them.
- 41:06Speaker 2: You should do that, you may know, get someone on
- 41:08Speaker 2: the phone, because that will really benefit.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I Like I literally looked at Rob
- 41:13Speaker 1: and I was like, for our honeymoon, we're doing it
- 41:14Speaker 1: all on points. Yeah, all over these points that I've
- 41:17Speaker 1: collected throughout my years of living. They're going to good use.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Yeah. So, like one of the things that we did
- 41:24Speaker 2: while we were there, we had like a private DJ
- 41:27Speaker 2: session was z and he's like twenty people and the
- 41:32Speaker 2: only way you could do it is if you have
- 41:33Speaker 2: Chaste card. The Sapphire the one that was there for
- 41:36Speaker 2: is like Sapphire Reserve or something.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 41:38Speaker 2: But I'm like, how cool that, Like that's a perk
- 41:41Speaker 2: that you can get. I just had no idea. I'm like,
- 41:43Speaker 2: how many things have I missed out?
- 41:45Speaker 1: I know these lounges at the airports are like, yeah,
- 41:48Speaker 1: you guys know about these lounges.
- 41:50Speaker 2: At the airports. Yeah? Yeah, I never am there with
- 41:53Speaker 2: enough time to spare to use.
- 41:55Speaker 1: It, so much time to spare. I'm like, I we
- 41:58Speaker 1: went to one. Robbie's card got us into one. I
- 42:01Speaker 1: can't remember what airline it was, but I'm like, I'm
- 42:03Speaker 1: going to get a Delta card. Like I'm literally getting
- 42:05Speaker 1: a Delta credit card.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm telling you. It was I was like, wow,
- 42:10Speaker 2: this is this was eye opening, but it was so fun.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It was weird.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I said that because I've been in that same headspace.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I'm like, there's so much out there to like capitalize
- 42:19Speaker 1: take advantage of, and I don't take advantage of any
- 42:21Speaker 1: of it.
- 42:22Speaker 2: No, And if you go look at yeah, it's a lot.
- 42:24Speaker 2: It's a lot, but like, once you take the time
- 42:26Speaker 2: to do it, it's so easy if you have a card.
- 42:28Speaker 2: So anyways, getting a credit card that has perks on it,
- 42:32Speaker 2: because yeah, really they really do be getting me the perks.
- 42:36Speaker 2: We went, we saw Tate McCrae. We walked over and
- 42:38Speaker 2: saw her. She is so good. She is so good
- 42:42Speaker 2: and like the way she can dance. When I watch
- 42:45Speaker 2: people who can dance perform, I'm always just like, why
- 42:48Speaker 2: can't I do that? I know, but I can't.
- 42:51Speaker 1: It's okay. We all have our strengths in our own weaknesses.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I uh oh, what was I going to tell you?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Was it when Ali sat on the same out of
- 43:00Speaker 2: the booth? Is me? Oh?
- 43:01Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 43:04Speaker 2: So we were starving and we go and sit and
- 43:08Speaker 2: this was so we did the z DJ thing and
- 43:12Speaker 2: then we had time before we were going to the
- 43:14Speaker 2: festival and she was like, I'm starving, let's just go
- 43:16Speaker 2: get true food. So we go and I had this.
- 43:20Speaker 2: We both had these like backless top song because we
- 43:23Speaker 2: both had like bandanas tied as the top. And so
- 43:27Speaker 2: she goes, do you want the booth or the chair?
- 43:29Speaker 2: Because normally I always give up the booth because I'm like,
- 43:32Speaker 2: I know everyone prefers the booth and I'm a people pleaser,
- 43:36Speaker 2: but the chair looked really cold on my back, so
- 43:39Speaker 2: I was like, I'm gonna take booth. She asked, booth
- 43:42Speaker 2: or chair? Said booth, and she goes, oh, yeah, that
- 43:44Speaker 2: looks more comfortable. I'm gonna sit over there. And I
- 43:46Speaker 2: was like what. I was like, are you serious? You're
- 43:51Speaker 2: going to sit on the same side, And you're like, yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 2: it's more comfortable. Don't worry. I don't want to sit
- 43:55Speaker 2: next to you because I want to sit next to you.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Con She was like, it's just more comfortable. And I
- 44:00Speaker 2: was like, do you know how invasive this is to me?
- 44:05Speaker 1: And yet you stayed there?
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because my back was cold.
- 44:10Speaker 1: So I just have to bully you into sitting on
- 44:15Speaker 1: the same side.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but everyone's like, I cannot wait to hear Tanya's reaction.
- 44:19Speaker 2: I'm like, I literally made it clear in the text
- 44:22Speaker 2: that I did not want this.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Let me tell you, it was not clear. It was
- 44:26Speaker 1: not clear in the text.
- 44:27Speaker 2: It was like I was like, Ali, please come sit
- 44:29Speaker 2: on the same side with me. I love sitting on
- 44:31Speaker 2: the same side of the table.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It was not clear in the text.
- 44:35Speaker 2: It was because I was like, if you know, you
- 44:37Speaker 2: know how stressful this is for me.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I saw it and I was like, Wow, she's just
- 44:42Speaker 1: rubbing it in my face and she's sitting on the
- 44:45Speaker 1: same side with her best friend Ali.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Tanya talks her stress. They induced stress in me
- 44:53Speaker 2: like they make if I had an or ring or
- 44:55Speaker 2: like an Apple watch, it would say like my blood pressure,
- 44:57Speaker 2: they'd see it rising when I post with other people.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Anya, Tat's all.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Right, we are going to take a break and then
- 45:04Speaker 2: we will be back with a dear Bonya email. All right,
- 45:27Speaker 2: we are back, and we have a dear Bonya email
- 45:33Speaker 2: from anonymous Easton.
- 45:37Speaker 3: All right, this one's from anonymous. Mark is not here.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I'm taking his job. He is not getting it back. Sorry, buddy.
- 45:43Speaker 3: I am an og scrubber and I appreciate all four
- 45:45Speaker 3: of you bringing light to my weekdays. I'm going to
- 45:47Speaker 3: change that, all three of you bringing light to my weekdays.
- 45:49Speaker 3: My husband and I moved into our home a little
- 45:51Speaker 3: over six months ago, but we're having an issue with
- 45:53Speaker 3: our neighbor across the street from us. She's a seventy
- 45:55Speaker 3: year old woman that lives alone, has no family. We
- 45:58Speaker 3: recently got a dog, so now we're out walking, we
- 46:00Speaker 3: run into our neighbor all the time. Every time we
- 46:02Speaker 3: see her, she ends up telling us crazy stories that
- 46:04Speaker 3: are not true. One story she told us was that
- 46:07Speaker 3: her power went out and the home warranty guy came
- 46:09Speaker 3: over and drugged her and forced her to go to
- 46:11Speaker 3: the bank with him and give him ten thousand dollars,
- 46:13Speaker 3: but she didn't report it to the police. My question
- 46:16Speaker 3: for y'all is this last week she invited me over
- 46:18Speaker 3: for lunch with our new puppy. I don't feel comfortable
- 46:21Speaker 3: going into her house and I would love to avoided
- 46:22Speaker 3: at all costs, But now she sees us walking our
- 46:25Speaker 3: dog and knows every time I walk outside, she comes
- 46:26Speaker 3: out to say, Hi. How do I balance between being
- 46:29Speaker 3: friendly and neighborly and setting a clear boundary?
- 46:33Speaker 1: Yeahkes is, Yeah, this is tough.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I would have a really this would literally stress me
- 46:39Speaker 2: out so much.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I would just invite it over to your house, oh
- 46:44Speaker 1: home field advantage, Yeah yeah, and just be like, my
- 46:48Speaker 1: dog isn't plotty trained and I don't really want to
- 46:50Speaker 1: bring her into your house to peel over your stuff,
- 46:52Speaker 1: So why don't we just have lunch at my house.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good sauce.
- 46:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's a good idea. And then you
- 46:58Speaker 3: can see how she is during this, much like if
- 47:00Speaker 3: she gives you more crazy stuff, yeah, then you can
- 47:03Speaker 3: you know, you don't have this doesn't have to be
- 47:05Speaker 3: a repeat.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Thing, right, And maybe is there another direction you can
- 47:12Speaker 2: go on your walk.
- 47:14Speaker 1: That lives across the street.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Me feels bad because it's like she's probably just lonely
- 47:19Speaker 2: and want someone to talk to. But I think that
- 47:20Speaker 2: if you invite her over to your place and you
- 47:23Speaker 2: get a feel for her personality inside your home, then
- 47:26Speaker 2: it might make you feel more comfortable and feel like
- 47:28Speaker 2: she's just innocent and like as bored and lonely and
- 47:31Speaker 2: wants to talk and have like something interesting to have
- 47:36Speaker 2: a conversation about, because she probably doesn't have that. And yeah,
- 47:42Speaker 2: I would just you know, I think there and maybe
- 47:45Speaker 2: if it gets a point where you feel, I don't know,
- 47:49Speaker 2: like you're like you're trapped. Have your husband's such a boundary?
- 47:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I think your biggest fear is just being stuck in
- 47:58Speaker 1: someone someone else's home, right.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so she doesn't feel comfortable going into her house?
- 48:05Speaker 1: Yes, so I would just say, my dog isn't so
- 48:08Speaker 1: trained and let's just do it at my foot.
- 48:10Speaker 2: But if she was like, just come and don't bring
- 48:13Speaker 2: the dog.
- 48:14Speaker 1: No, I think she said she invited her and the dog.
- 48:16Speaker 2: I know, but I'm saying, what if she was like, oh,
- 48:19Speaker 2: that's fine, don't bring the dog.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Well, she's not so trained, so I don't want to
- 48:22Speaker 1: leave her in my home unattended, I would.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Feel like, hey, I don't want to get drugged by
- 48:29Speaker 3: the home warnty guy either. Yeah, we haven't had such
- 48:34Speaker 3: a case at my house, so why don't you come
- 48:36Speaker 3: over here.
- 48:36Speaker 1: I think she probably is just lonely and just wants
- 48:38Speaker 1: to have you over. So I think if you suggest
- 48:40Speaker 1: doing at your house, she's gonna be just fine.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Yeah. I think she'll be excited with that option. And
- 48:44Speaker 2: I also think, like it really I speak from someone
- 48:48Speaker 2: who could never do this, but it's unfortunate that you can't,
- 48:51Speaker 2: that we can't just be like, oh, I don't really
- 48:52Speaker 2: feel comfortable with that, but thank you, yeah, instead of
- 48:56Speaker 2: just like having to email like a random podcast. So
- 48:58Speaker 2: I get you know what I'm saying.
- 49:00Speaker 1: I wish because she has like seventy and she lives
- 49:02Speaker 1: alone and like it's it's like kind of sad.
- 49:05Speaker 2: I know, Anonymous. I feel like I feel for Anonymous
- 49:08Speaker 2: because I feel like she's like it's the struggle of
- 49:11Speaker 2: wanting to be kind and gentle and also set a
- 49:15Speaker 2: boundary for you.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really tough because like, yeah, you want to
- 49:17Speaker 3: be kind, especially to your neighbors, your community, you want
- 49:19Speaker 3: to feel connected. Then also, it's not your responsibility to
- 49:22Speaker 3: make this other person right feel comfortable and happy.
- 49:25Speaker 1: You know.
- 49:25Speaker 3: That's so I get it's very tough, but I mean
- 49:28Speaker 3: it seems like an honest is open to having a
- 49:30Speaker 3: relationship with this person, like a friendship.
- 49:32Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, like that's your neighbor.
- 49:34Speaker 1: These are people that are like watching over your home
- 49:37Speaker 1: and like you know what I mean, Like, I think
- 49:38Speaker 1: it's like nice to have a nice somewhat friendly you know,
- 49:42Speaker 1: you don't have to have invite her over every week
- 49:44Speaker 1: for lunch or dinner.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Also the idea of like inviting her to go on
- 49:49Speaker 2: a walk with you around the block, because that way
- 49:51Speaker 2: she's getting exercise, she's getting to talk and like be
- 49:55Speaker 2: with the puppy, and maybe that would make her feel
- 49:57Speaker 2: like included without you feeling like you have to go
- 49:59Speaker 2: into her home or have her into your home.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that.
- 50:05Speaker 2: If all the worst comes to worst, just go in
- 50:08Speaker 2: there and have a phone recording at all times.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Share your location, share your location, or.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Make sure your husband's love you. But good luck. That's tough.
- 50:19Speaker 2: But congrats on your new puppy. All right, that is all.
- 50:25Speaker 2: We will be back next Monday and we hope you
- 50:28Speaker 2: have a great week. I love you, love so much.
