- 0:00So now welcome everyone and welcome back to the Aftermath
- 0:03podcast. We thought we'd try something
- 0:09new, but I don't think so. That is used to it.
- 0:10Yeah. I hope everyone's doing well.
- 0:12And Charlotte hope family is good and you've had a good week,
- 0:16brother. Sisters, we've been continuing
- 0:17with our theme on connecting with our last man to Allah prior
- 0:21to Shahramovan in these holy months of Rajab and Shahaban.
- 0:24And today, Shah, we want to continue that discussion.
- 0:27Are you losing your connection with the last founders to Allah?
- 0:30Do you feel hopeless at times? Is there moments in your days
- 0:32where you think, what am I doing?
- 0:34I feel completely reluctant to to engage with the people around
- 0:38me move forward. So if so, this is a conversation
- 0:41you need to stay in touch with and continue Charlotte until the
- 0:44end of the discussion. We have an incredibly special
- 0:47guest, but before we introduce our beloved scholar, firstly as
- 0:51always, said Ali Rodoi. So Alec will say this.
- 1:03How? Are you keeping bro?
- 1:05If you're well, I'm well. I'm always well every week I'm
- 1:07in your presence. Every week I see you here in
- 1:09inshallah this, this, this love and my heart that continues.
- 1:13To. Grow, I'm blossom inshallah, we
- 1:16never feel alone. Inshallah, Inshallah.
- 1:18And today we definitely don't feel alone because we have
- 1:21someone who means a lot to you and me, our teacher, he has,
- 1:26he's been, I think in many ways like a father figure to us as
- 1:30individuals off, you know, outside of filming and
- 1:33everything. He's taught us so much and we're
- 1:35really honoured to be joined by Shakuna Mohammed.
- 1:39Thank you so much for coming. Great pleasure.
- 1:41Thank you so much for having me, man.
- 1:43It's been nearly two years. We've been waiting for you to
- 1:45join. I'm a fan of after my group and
- 1:46I watch it always. For me, that's we've grown.
- 1:50Up watching you and. We're proud to have you, man.
- 1:54Leading the youth man, and Leading the Give It Up Man.
- 1:56We inshallah this is these are the blessings that we get from
- 1:59you. No, no, no.
- 2:01It's a great pleasure, man, You guys.
- 2:02I was telling Ahmed, I'll share with the with the podcast those
- 2:05listening that you know you praised us and that we accept
- 2:08every praise, but it's all thanks to the likes of yourself
- 2:11and those in the service of of this religion.
- 2:12And we learn. And in Charlotte we do our best.
- 2:15To share what we have the lighting and I'll accept and
- 2:19we'll continue to strengthen you with your.
- 2:23Daughters, so of course very important discussion.
- 2:25But before we kind of get into it, I want to break the ice if
- 2:28that's OK. With your permission.
- 2:30I have a question. This is this is the late night
- 2:33buzz. So for those who don't know
- 2:36Sheikh Nuru of the member, this is the time inshallah, they get
- 2:39to know I have a question. I have two questions for you.
- 2:42If you could have dinner with any figure in history, one
- 2:47religious figure and one non religious figure, what would
- 2:51they be and what would you talk about?
- 2:53Wow. Religious figure?
- 2:55You mean infallible or? Anyone.
- 2:58Anyone. One religious figure and one non
- 3:00Islamic figure so. Religious figure will be Mama
- 3:02Ali Ali. I always admire Imam Ali Ali
- 3:08Salaam. I would love to sit next to Imam
- 3:11Ali Ali Salaam. So that's a dream.
- 3:13In general. In general.
- 3:17How would you approach that conversation?
- 3:19Where would you begin? I I will.
- 3:21I will keep looking at him. I think I'll be speechless.
- 3:24Yeah. Sitting next to Imam Ali.
- 3:26I think it will be enough. Yeah.
- 3:27If one gets that opportunity, when it will be more than
- 3:29enough? Man, Inshallah.
- 3:33And. How about a non religious
- 3:35figure? Non religious figure.
- 3:37In history and what would you talk about?
- 3:39Oh wow. In history I think non religious
- 3:42figure. I will go to Nelson Mandela
- 3:45because I lived in South Africa, of course, and I got to know
- 3:49what Nelson Mandela did. So meeting Nelson Mandela, the
- 3:53first question I would ask him is how did he do it with all
- 3:59those pressures? A lot of pressure, a lot of
- 4:03challenges. How did he do it?
- 4:06I would like to know. Nelson Mandela wasn't hypocrite.
- 4:12I like what we witnessed today. Yeah, from most of the leaders.
- 4:17He was solid, man. And he said we will never our
- 4:20freedom will not exist until the Palestine is.
- 4:22Absolutely. The freedom of Palestine was
- 4:24crucial to South Africa. That's why I'm proud of South
- 4:27Africa. South Africa are killing it.
- 4:29Solid, yeah. Yeah.
- 4:31And if I have, I have a last question.
- 4:32Yeah, if you had, if a middleman, Manin, Alice, or
- 4:35let's say Mom and Matthew, if he was to honor us or to honor you
- 4:42if he was to come to your house. Yeah, wow.
- 4:44What would you feed the Holy Imam?
- 4:47Oh. Oh wow, what a question.
- 4:53I will literally go out of my. I will give Imam everything.
- 4:56Allah Allah. I will say Imam your instruction
- 5:01or order is confirmable I. Said.
- 5:03Just tell me what you want. This man is so bad.
- 5:06Whatever you want to let me know, I will go out of my way.
- 5:08Even if I have to fly to get it for you.
- 5:11I will spend literally whatever I have to fly.
- 5:14I said. I said.
- 5:16Law, Law, Definitely, Sheriff. That's what we're looking for.
- 5:22Inshallah, inshallah becomes a reality.
- 5:24We pray, we pray. We.
- 5:26Pray man they are our role models.
- 5:27Man, I. Said, said.
- 5:30Where should we stop? Now I'm thinking about being in
- 5:34general, that he'll bait and Charlotte a dream come true.
- 5:37Yeah, we bring. It for all of us but you know
- 5:39just echoing echoing Nelson Mandela.
- 5:41Mandela, sorry. And I think the the chef bring a
- 5:44very valid example that we can use here today.
- 5:47And I think the theme we want to set is like, are we alone when
- 5:50we have Allah? And I think, I think this is
- 5:53where we should begin. And I think speaking about
- 5:55recent events, I think let's start to hit, you know, like
- 5:58Palestinians. And I think to be fair and to
- 6:02use them as the biggest example everyone can relate to around
- 6:05the world, they feel alone and they feel isolated from almost
- 6:09every country around the world. Yet subhanallah, eyewitness and
- 6:14the world witnesses that they're still resilient and they still
- 6:17stand firm and have hope and Allah.
- 6:19Subhanahu matala that whatever, you know, affliction that comes
- 6:23toward them, they will still say al hamdulillah.
- 6:27They will still say Hasbro, Allah.
- 6:28When I'm al wakir, I mean for someone to have that sort of
- 6:32belief and tawakkul and you know, hope and a loss upon with
- 6:37Allah that inshallah the forage does come to them, how do they
- 6:40reach that stage? Span.
- 6:42Allah, how can one never feel alone when when physically the
- 6:47entire globe has left them alone but their connection with the
- 6:50law is still alive? How do they reach that stage?
- 6:53Like how can we learn to be like them?
- 6:55Yeah. That's basically the essence of
- 6:57life. And I like what you mentioned
- 7:01earlier on, you know, they are our inspirations or their
- 7:05brothers and sisters in Palestine when you hear them,
- 7:08especially those young kids reciting verses of the Holy
- 7:12Quran beautifully. And those verses, if you reflect
- 7:15on them, realize that they are in relation to the challenges
- 7:20they are faced with, but then referring everything to a lot of
- 7:24us. So definitely number one, they
- 7:27are our source of inspirations and we live in a very difficult
- 7:32world to begin with. We are surrounded with
- 7:38complexity and toxicity. It's easy for one to give up.
- 7:44It's easy for one to say, you know what, there's no any hope.
- 7:49And this is where the importance of being a believer or even a
- 7:53Muslim emanate from. You are a believer or a Muslim
- 7:59because of these type of challenges and days that will
- 8:02come to you. Say the entire world is closed,
- 8:09blocked that belief. I believe in one God.
- 8:14God is there. These are the moments one needs
- 8:19to remember that. You know what?
- 8:21I don't believe in anyone like this.
- 8:23I believe in one God who is encompassing, who is everyone.
- 8:29So first, look at Palestinians. They are demonstrating that
- 8:32practically that regardless of the challenges you are going
- 8:36through in your life, if you still believe in God, you'll
- 8:40keep going and they keep. I know for a fact these
- 8:47Palestinians are more happier than us.
- 8:51They've understood the test of Allah.
- 8:54They've understood it. So they are happy.
- 8:57They're happy. And you see as a lover and a
- 9:00follower of allel bait, remember to our Arafah of Imam ABI
- 9:06Abdullah Hussain Ali. It's unknown to all of us this
- 9:10line, we always quote this line. What has he found?
- 9:14Who has lost you and what has he lost?
- 9:17Was found you and? You.
- 9:20Know Imam said Abdeen mentioned. If I am to lose literally
- 9:26everything in my life and I tend to the East and there's nothing
- 9:32to the West and there's nothing and I have Quran with me, I will
- 9:38not suffer from loneliness. So even God is there.
- 9:44But yes, easier said than done. I know it's very hard.
- 9:49So first step towards bringing that hope to you, my dear
- 9:53brothers and sisters. It's what they call Telaquino,
- 9:56Nafsi, self inspiration. Keep inspiring yourself.
- 10:01God is there. It's like you go to write an
- 10:04exams. When you get there you realise,
- 10:07no man, I've forgotten all that I read last night or two weeks
- 10:10ago. Why?
- 10:11Are you going to stop the exams? No, you'll still go.
- 10:14But what motivates you? Normally God is there.
- 10:17It will be OK. God is there.
- 10:19You know, I'll seek the intercession of Allah by it, You
- 10:21know it will be OK. This one they call always keep
- 10:25inspiring yourself. You know what God is there.
- 10:28If Palestinians look happy, I'll also be happy or I can't be
- 10:35happy. So don't give up.
- 10:37God is the last who will never reject you.
- 10:42Remember that. That's why he said in Addis
- 10:45local see or the son of Adam. I love you with my whole
- 10:48existence. But why when I come to you, run
- 10:51away from me. Don't run away from me.
- 10:55I love you and I will accept you the way you are.
- 10:58I just need you to appreciate me, to Remember Me.
- 11:01That's why he said Anna in the zombie app DB.
- 11:02He said I am next to that servant who begin to imagine me
- 11:09just by thinking of God. He said I'm next to you and then
- 11:16he went further. He said, Doc, I will be there
- 11:18literally, physically if you sit next to me.
- 11:22Meanwhile you Remember Me. So therefore, brothers and
- 11:24sisters, the last thing in life is to lose hope.
- 11:29And Allah said, don't, I will accept you.
- 11:35Beautiful. And there's there's there's so
- 11:37many lessons especially to talk about today.
- 11:40I have a million questions for you.
- 11:42I don't, I don't want to. I know where time is limited and
- 11:46I don't want to. Ask three in the in the
- 11:47beginning I've already. Asked 3 So hopefully I'll keep
- 11:51the one. Inshallah.
- 11:53So, so firstly, I just want to add to the Palestine point
- 11:56because I find it absolutely heartbreaking what's happening.
- 12:01The the, the abandonment that these people have had, the
- 12:07stories, the graphics, the videos, it doesn't shake the
- 12:11world as much as it should. A lot of us are shaken, but if
- 12:15the world was truly affected and touched, there would be an
- 12:18intercession from them, for them, for aid.
- 12:21And there should be, you know, the requirements that these,
- 12:24these children require. You know there's there's
- 12:27unfortunately complete abandonment subhanallah even the
- 12:31the Arab world have abandoned them.
- 12:32Said you always mentioned this as well.
- 12:34The Arab world. I read today there's 15 Arab
- 12:37prime ministers, 4 Arab kings, two Arab Princess and they've
- 12:41all abandoned Philistine. So inshallah we pray for them
- 12:45and we pray that we can be amongst those who are part of
- 12:48their liberation in any way. The Hadith and Hadi Prophet
- 12:51Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi alaihi wasallam where he says as
- 12:53shekhar you can correct me if I'm wrong.
- 12:55When you see a wrong, intercede with your hands.
- 12:58And if. Not with your hand and with your
- 13:00tongue and if not with your tongue, with your heart.
- 13:02So inshallah we can we can do all of the above.
- 13:05Inshallah, when we when it comes to specifically Imam Al Mehdi Al
- 13:12Sharif, we are seeing the days of the the whole.
- 13:17Yesterday, say Mushtaro was behind the scenes sent us a
- 13:19video of a guy on TikTok who's claiming to be a Mahmahdi.
- 13:23So whether or whether or not people take it seriously, the
- 13:26conversation is happening. The signs are coming, but a lot
- 13:29of us as a community are trying to find a bridge to connect with
- 13:33the Holy Imam and finding Allah sponsor Allah through the Adel
- 13:37bait. Is is, in my whole humble
- 13:40opinion, it's an easier way to connect with the Adel bait of
- 13:43Islam. Is that maybe a good way for us
- 13:46to go? And is it too much for us to
- 13:48expect someone who has lost Allah sponsor Allah to go
- 13:53through the Adel bait? Or how should they approach it?
- 13:56No, definitely. That's the quickest way and the
- 13:59best way and that is why we love our health, but they are our
- 14:02means to salvation, meaning to a lot of our culture.
- 14:04Allah, yes, there is a room. If a person wants to go to Allah
- 14:08by him or herself, that room is there.
- 14:11But we have this room that if you want to go to Allah, you've
- 14:15got channels. These channels will hold your
- 14:18hand, they will guide you to Allah.
- 14:22And the current channel this is Abbas Ali Al Mahadi.
- 14:27He's the Imam of our time. So first in first we need to be
- 14:31able to build that love relationship with the Imam and
- 14:36in return we get to connect with Almighty Allah, Tabarakal Allah.
- 14:43Why is it so easy to build with Imam?
- 14:45Because yes Imam is physical. Yes we may not see Imam but we
- 14:50know Imam somewhere is somewhere.
- 14:53We may ask them to miss Levin. Yes we don't know his where
- 14:56about but we know Imam is somewhere and the hours of Allah
- 15:02by the narrations of Allah by it tell us this is the way Bina
- 15:06bada Allah will be. Allah began with us and Allah
- 15:10will end with us. We know we are channels to a lot
- 15:13of our God Allah. So building love relationship
- 15:17with the Imam of our time, for me, I think is the first step.
- 15:21And there are some practical tips that brothers and sisters
- 15:24can try in their own small way. You're not competing with
- 15:28anyone. Be yourself in your own way.
- 15:32Allah will make it easy for you and you may be fortunate why
- 15:37not? Who knows to meet the Imam, any
- 15:40man place his hand on top of your head.
- 15:42Imam is alive, Imam is not Shahid, Imam is not dead.
- 15:46So the first practical tip for me, you know brothers and
- 15:50sisters, Imam is always in pain when he sees the nation of his
- 15:56grandfather in pain. Typical example, Palestinians
- 16:01are getting bombarded, Imam is in pain.
- 16:05One soul is way too much for Imam.
- 16:08When Allah tells us in the Holy Quran about the Holy Prophet
- 16:11Aziz Una Alaihima anitum Hariz, Una alaikum Professor Allah
- 16:18General and then towards the end he said what Menin mean what
- 16:22man? I need 2 masses on early.
- 16:23Whatever you go through of pain it's even more painful to the
- 16:28Holy Prophet and Imam. Sai will assessment is a replica
- 16:32of the Holy Prophet. Prophet was Sarah Haim, Imam is
- 16:34Sarah Haim. So feel the pain of Imam and
- 16:38that's the practical tip that lives are getting lost feel that
- 16:44pain. When you feel that pain, it
- 16:47means you're getting closer to building that relationship with
- 16:50Imam Azaman. That's one practical tip.
- 16:53Another practical tip is to do any form of charity in the name
- 16:57of Imam Azaman. Donate towards Palestinians,
- 17:02donate towards good causes. But said I am giving this
- 17:07donation in the name of Imam Azaman.
- 17:10It's a practical tip. Generosity and charity brings
- 17:14tranquillity to the heart. And here you are doing it in the
- 17:18name of Imam Azama. And tradition of the Prophet
- 17:20tells us Tahadu tahabu give gift, do charity and you will be
- 17:26loved. You know what you'll be able to
- 17:28establish the love of Allah or the love of that person.
- 17:31You are doing the charity in his name.
- 17:34So it's very, very important. And another thing which they
- 17:37call you know is the out of Imam Zel Abdeen and Vikram Hafee.
- 17:41He did remembrance. You know what woman Ajati Ramzel
- 17:43Abdeen. He said well Anisna vikar Al
- 17:46Hafee, Allah console us with hidden remembrance.
- 17:49You know what is hidden remembrance?
- 17:51Hidden remembrance is what you connect whatever you do with
- 17:55Allah. But I'm saying now with Imam
- 17:58Zama. So with Allah we begin first.
- 18:01Yeah Allah, I'm beginning this job.
- 18:03If you are happy let it prosper otherwise let it crash.
- 18:07Yeah Allah I'm travelling to Peterborough.
- 18:10If you are happy let it be. If not let something happen.
- 18:13I do not go. So This is why they call it.
- 18:16You literally connect everything with Allah.
- 18:18So we said look connect everything with Imam.
- 18:22Yeah Allah, I'm doing this so long as it's policing to Imam,
- 18:26let it happen. So when you do that what
- 18:29happened Imam comes closer to you.
- 18:32And of course the biggest one is sin.
- 18:35Try not to commit sin intentionally.
- 18:38None of us is infallible, all of our sins, but don't commit
- 18:43intentionally, because Imam Jafar Sadiq Salaam Al Ali tells
- 18:46us in one tradition, if it wasn't of the sins of our Shias,
- 18:51they would have seen our car in with their naked eyes.
- 18:54That's. Our answer?
- 18:57So staying away from sins is very important.
- 19:01I see you begin slowly but surely Appreciate your
- 19:03circumstance and align a little bit.
- 19:05Will accept with the way you are.
- 19:08Just on this last point you mentioned, you know, it relates
- 19:11to the discussion I had previously with someone and we
- 19:14said you know what the Imam Al Jallah, Talfarah Sharif, we're
- 19:17not waiting for him, he's waiting for us, Suhan.
- 19:20Allah, absolutely. Suhan Allah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:22absolutely. It's not that we are waiting, He
- 19:26is literally waiting. But look at it this way.
- 19:29Allah is the most just and Allah is the most love loving.
- 19:34He loves you more than the way you love yourself.
- 19:36Let along the way your parent love you and whoever you think
- 19:40of you know even albeit they love us more than ourselves and
- 19:45our parents. So Allah being the absolute just
- 19:49creator and seeing all these pains in the world, why will he
- 19:54not release Imam with someone for justice?
- 19:56Maybe it would be an injustice to us if he brought him now.
- 20:00We're not ready. We're.
- 20:03Not ready. We're not ready for the
- 20:04Buttercup. We paranoid we're not ready.
- 20:08Look at the issue of Palestinians someone to remain
- 20:11neutral. You can't remain.
- 20:13You can't. People are getting.
- 20:15Killed. Every day.
- 20:17So the day we are ready within a twinkle of an eye.
- 20:21I love release Imam. That's one of the pains of Imam.
- 20:24Imam wants to come, are always ready to help to administer
- 20:28absolute justice you. Know one thing I I find a lot
- 20:31in, in my humble opinion is this Can this concept of loneliness
- 20:35or the the distance from a last month to Allah.
- 20:39It comes in different shapes and forms.
- 20:41So you have those, for example, who are detached from Allah
- 20:43because they're unaware maybe they've not been raised in a
- 20:46religious family, maybe, for example, they were.
- 20:48And then they found that there were Muslims who committed bad
- 20:51acts or took them away from Islam, which of course is the
- 20:54perfect religion of a last month Allah.
- 20:56But in the UK, one in five people in the UK, according to
- 21:00the, if I'm not mistaken Office of National Statistics, have a
- 21:04mental health issue in the UK. Depression is on the rise.
- 21:07Social media is causing young people under 18 to have social
- 21:11mental disorders year on year on an exponentially growing rate.
- 21:16Generally speaking, loneliness can come from anything.
- 21:20We talked before the podcast about people who have lost
- 21:23family members post Natal depression.
- 21:26It could be not having a community around you.
- 21:29I feel a community is a big, big factor in having a a connection
- 21:33with the last one of the island. But Chef, you've lived in Ghana,
- 21:37in Iran, in South Africa, in Kenya and now in UK.
- 21:40Marshall, last part of our five countries.
- 21:42Chronologically I got it right. I hope you've become.
- 21:44The United Nations. The ICJ is.
- 21:52You Medic. What would you say, you know all
- 21:55the communities you've worked with.
- 21:57You know you've been a resident island in different communities
- 21:59have also traveled the world. What would you say are the key
- 22:03causes of that? Maybe that loneliness or the the
- 22:08lack of a connection with Islam and your your answers for those
- 22:13people at home because there are people hurting right now or even
- 22:16if they're not hurting they're numb.
- 22:18I I I just want to add one more thing.
- 22:20You know in your lecture last weekend you were of course in
- 22:23when you were in London you spoke at Mokubal Abbas for the
- 22:26Shardas of Imam al Kadam Al Islam.
- 22:29You talked about the structure and self accountability.
- 22:32Can you also tell us about that? Fantastic.
- 22:34So I think you put it right Ahmed.
- 22:38People who are going through a lot in their lives, they have
- 22:44multiple reasons for what they are going through in their
- 22:47lives. Some may be financially related,
- 22:54they reached rock bottom, nobody is there, mortgage for example,
- 23:02and as a result they don't see any hope.
- 23:06Mental health kicks in, anxiety leads to depression.
- 23:14Some may be due to lack of success in their lives.
- 23:17Maybe they set their themselves some goals and as a result of
- 23:22not achieving those goals they end up going through.
- 23:27And there are some really. The challenge is they never take
- 23:32Allah seriously in their lives. There are some like that.
- 23:36They never take Allah seriously and as a result they are in the
- 23:43situation they found themselves. All in all, regardless of what
- 23:46caused it. Some cannot be, you can't blame
- 23:50some, some of course you tell me it's yourself.
- 23:53Some may be out of negligence, some may be out of lack of
- 23:55access, meaning lack of support, lack of community for example.
- 23:59Lack of someone to advise them. For example, I would like to say
- 24:04something here to my dear brothers and sisters.
- 24:06Regardless of your circumstances, regardless of the
- 24:08causes of your circumstances or like if the world or anyone
- 24:13rejects you, be rest assured the last to reject you is God.
- 24:19You can't even begin to imagine God rejecting you.
- 24:26That's the last thing to have at the back of your mind, that God
- 24:32will not accept you. I know sometimes it's hard due
- 24:36to your circumstance. You'll find it heavy and hard to
- 24:40pick yourself up and come to God.
- 24:44Just thinking about God alone is crucial.
- 24:49And this leads me to the discussion I had last night,
- 24:54which is self accountability, which is beautifully discussed
- 25:01in the field of spirituality, or Islamic ethics if you like.
- 25:09Self accountability is one of the most important tool to help
- 25:16anyone of us navigate through his or her challenges.
- 25:22Why am I saying so? Self accountability begins with
- 25:29self understanding, self recognition, self appreciation.
- 25:37I cannot account for whatever is happening in my life, whether
- 25:41good or bad or my conditions without understanding myself and
- 25:47hence Allah. The Holy Prophet tells us
- 25:51beautifully and Imam Ali also tells us same rewire.
- 25:58The ultimate is God, but you not get there without knowing who
- 26:03you are. Simplest way to know who you are
- 26:09is to know your weakness and your strength is to know your
- 26:12current situation. Because remember at one point we
- 26:16were all in a state of non existence and a lot of his love
- 26:21for us give us existence. It's like a parent.
- 26:26You get married, a headache of marriage.
- 26:29A marriage is done. Now you're thinking of having a
- 26:32child. You'll have one then you want to
- 26:34go to. Why you suffered pregnancy,
- 26:38pain, no money. What love?
- 26:41Because of love you want to have children.
- 26:43So Allah created us out of love. So we're in a state of non
- 26:46existence. But now we are in a state of
- 26:48existence. We still need apparatus from
- 26:51Allah to navigate through. You can't do it alone.
- 26:54Habibi my dear brother and sister.
- 26:55It's impossible. That's why some people, how do
- 26:58they never get through? By going through alcohol?
- 27:02He said. I forget when I drink.
- 27:03I forget some of those who drink.
- 27:05It's not like they want to drink.
- 27:06They said when I drink, I forget.
- 27:08Some will go, Weed said. When I take it, I become high
- 27:12and then I forgot. I forget everything.
- 27:14I go, I sleep and then when I wake up, I'm done.
- 27:19But we said, God, the one who created you, knows you better
- 27:22than yourself. So here we are here in this
- 27:25world, regardless of how powerful you are, regardless how
- 27:30regardless of how you socially strong, intellectually strong,
- 27:36although you can't do without God, and likewise on the day of
- 27:40judgement, we will need God to get salvation.
- 27:45The point I'm trying to make is that self accountability comes
- 27:49as a result of self understanding and cognition.
- 27:51Sit somewhere if you're going through challenges.
- 27:55We all go through our shells of challenges.
- 27:58Reflect on your eyes. What are my pains?
- 28:03I know sometimes you can't do it alone.
- 28:06If you can't go through someone else because Quran tells us, ask
- 28:15those who remind. If you do not know, assist each
- 28:24other when it comes to righteousness.
- 28:26Don't suffer alone. My dear brother and my dear
- 28:29sister as Islam will not agree to that because Imam Java tells
- 28:33us when Allah created us, He leaves everything in our hand.
- 28:38Decide how you want except one thing.
- 28:41You know what Imam Java said that one thing is toward Don't
- 28:44belittle yourself, don't belittle your power, don't
- 28:46belittle your strength. I know you've reached rock
- 28:49bottom or lie. If you're able to pick yourself
- 28:51up either through yourself or through someone else, you'll be
- 28:56amazed of how productive and creative you'll become.
- 28:59It's not the end of the world. It's not and so therefore self
- 29:03accountability. As Imam Musalkasm tells us, Lisa
- 29:08Mina is not one of us who is unable to engage in self
- 29:17accountability daily. These are so many faces.
- 29:24One phase is that without self accountability you cannot claim
- 29:27to be a true lover of Adelbert, Lisa, Alaina, Jinnah.
- 29:33You know Tashia if you cannot account accountability mean what
- 29:37you try. You look at your life.
- 29:40Another meaning no of this hadith self account is that self
- 29:44accountability is equal to sense of responsibility.
- 29:50I need to have sense of responsibility first and
- 29:52foremost to myself. I'm so down thinking that the
- 29:57entire world is against me. The entire world is breaking
- 30:00apart. I totally agree it's not easy.
- 30:02Sometimes it's cumbersome, but you still have responsibility
- 30:06towards yourself. So you can't write to someone,
- 30:10reach out to someone one way or the other.
- 30:13Somebody will respond and maybe you just need that audience for
- 30:17you to be able to pick up yourself and keep going.
- 30:21And you know, tradition of the Prophet tells us, Al Hairo, Ada
- 30:25Washero, Ada, he said goodness is habit and evilness is habit.
- 30:30You know when you keep inspiring yourself negative, the end
- 30:36result will be going to be down, down, down, down, down, down.
- 30:41But when you keep inspiring yourself positive, sort of
- 30:45optimistic, you know what I mean?
- 30:47It's going to happen. So the second meaning is that
- 30:49self accountability and it have this sense of responsibility?
- 30:52Sure. Doesn't mean it's like in our
- 30:54hands. Santo, at the end of the day, is
- 30:57in our hand. But a lot of people turn to to
- 31:01other things. You mentioned alcohol, you
- 31:03mentioned weed. People turn to gambling.
- 31:05But outside of this, even socially people do other things.
- 31:09So instead of self accountability, they throw
- 31:13accountability on everyone else. They'll say I am the way I am
- 31:16because of the influence of these people or the surrounding
- 31:20of these people or the bad education or the bad
- 31:23environment. And I feel that nurture has a
- 31:25role I absolutely like. You know I may have been raised
- 31:29in a bad environment for example, but at the end of the
- 31:31day there I think has an influence and like it plays a
- 31:35part for sure. But then there's you know we're
- 31:37Balik, we're we're adults. You know we have the opportunity
- 31:41to do that self accountability. But what about Schech?
- 31:43The specifically the the role of the family and friends of
- 31:49someone who's in a bad position. So we might have a friend or a
- 31:52family member, a spouse, a son, a parent, or whatever it is
- 31:56who's struggling, OK, or even if they don't know they're
- 32:00struggling. But I see someone who is distant
- 32:03from What can I do for them? No.
- 32:05No, definitely. Families cannot be left alone in
- 32:08this regard. It begins with the family and
- 32:12then gets to the community. So let's begin with the family.
- 32:17I think what we need to ask ourselves Ahmed and Saidna, why
- 32:22family? This is very important and we
- 32:26have deep discussions within the region of Islam as to the
- 32:32positive roles family can play in the life of an individual
- 32:37family member. First, one family shapes our
- 32:43personal and individual identities.
- 32:46Family is important. Each and every family member.
- 32:51What an extended family nuclear family.
- 32:53We have rules towards that particular family member.
- 32:57Once you spoke. That a person is going through
- 33:01something. Don't wait for the person to
- 33:02come to you. We need to learn from the
- 33:04Prophet. Describe Prophet as anatopy,
- 33:07even the world. I'm a medical Doctor Who.
- 33:11Circulate with his medication. Don't wait for people to come.
- 33:15To you. Because I know today, in this
- 33:17world of individualism, if you like, no.
- 33:20No, no, I don't want to. Intrude.
- 33:24What is mentality? I don't want to intrude in
- 33:27someone's life. He will find his.
- 33:30Or her way. No, he's your family member.
- 33:33Charity begins at home, as they say.
- 33:36So first family shapes our identity.
- 33:39Not only that, we have tradition that firmly builds our
- 33:43personalities. And that is why as you.
- 33:47Correctly put it Ahmad, every individual when it comes to your
- 33:52personality, there are two factors that are influential in
- 33:57our personalities. The 1st is hereditary and the
- 34:02second factor is Tarbia. So al wehratha and Tarbia
- 34:08wehratha hereditary. Every child who comes to this
- 34:10world comes with what they call inherited attributes.
- 34:13You know, something from the father, you know something from
- 34:15the mother, maybe medically related, maybe socially related.
- 34:19One way or the other, we inherit something.
- 34:21That's why I say kids. One family, one mother, one
- 34:23father, same parent. If you like this one behave this
- 34:26way, that one behave that way, it's because of the collision of
- 34:30genes either from the grandparent of the parent.
- 34:32It happens. But this is what they call it's
- 34:34not ella tama, it's not a complete 'cause it can be
- 34:37changed through terbia a bringing but a bringing.
- 34:40First environment is home, Second environment is community.
- 34:43Third environment, school, friend, cycle, all these
- 34:47environment are crucial in making our personalities so
- 34:50family. They've got this to play.
- 34:53The third role which Quran beautifully mentioned family, is
- 34:57to ensure that they create conducive atmosphere for their
- 35:00family members. Tranquility and school so cool
- 35:04and tranquillity, Peace of Mind is crucial.
- 35:06So therefore before community, it is the role of a family to
- 35:11ensure that members of their family are taking care of Baba.
- 35:15Look at Islam. If a family doesn't depend on
- 35:18you jurisprudentially when you have Sadaqa or you have zakat,
- 35:22the first person to look after is your family member.
- 35:26So look at Islam, a holistic way of life.
- 35:30Now families sometimes may struggle.
- 35:33I know families who really try their level best to reach out to
- 35:36their family members. You know, they are so limited in
- 35:39whatever they are able to do. This is where the need for the
- 35:43community comes in all our communities, communities of
- 35:48lovers and the followers of our level to our Muslim communities,
- 35:51we need to realize this point that each and every member who
- 35:57comes to the community, whether registered or not registered, so
- 36:01long as the person attend to that community.
- 36:04The well-being of that. Person religious, well-being
- 36:06physical, well-being, material well-being is on us.
- 36:10That's why you know prophet what he said Manefasa and MO meaning
- 36:15Kurbatan men Kurabi, Dunya, Nafasala and Kurbatan men.
- 36:21Kurabi, Allah Allah Abdi Madame Allah Abdul look at it
- 36:34beautiful. The only prophet said whoever
- 36:38relieves a believer of any. Pain.
- 36:45Of his or her life, Allah will relieve that person of a pain of
- 36:50the day of and he said Whoever makes it easy for someone who is
- 36:54in difficulty, Allah will make this for you in Dunya.
- 36:58And and Allah will continue to assist you so long as you
- 37:03continue to assist his servant. Even with this line no prophet
- 37:07tells us he said those who are merciful, the most merciful will
- 37:23show his mercy on them. But look at the next line he
- 37:26says show mercy and to those on earth the one in heaven will
- 37:28show mercy unto you. So we have a duty as community.
- 37:32Don't wait for people to come this advice to your to myself
- 37:36and to all of us. Some people may not able to talk
- 37:39as currencies. There are those Habibi who will
- 37:43be able to come and tell you Habibi, Ahmed Kuka Habibi said
- 37:47Nah Ali and other way. You know I have these
- 37:50challenges. Can you refer me to someone?
- 37:53Can you support me? Not everyone is able to do so.
- 37:58Hence Coransis. There are those who for some
- 38:03reason they are unable to do so and then people will consider
- 38:06them rich. Whereas they are not rich, they
- 38:08are struggling. So you need to support and Imam
- 38:11Ali tells us. My Admiral Moroon Shia, look at
- 38:15that wire, my Admiral Moroon Shayan said.
- 38:21It's impossible for any one of you to hide something except one
- 38:30day. It will be seen.
- 38:33Flowing on his tank or it will be seen on his face.
- 38:36So when you see somebody, body language are more powerful than
- 38:39the verbal language. So don't pretend you've not seen
- 38:42that member of the community struggle.
- 38:44Reach out to them and Allah will help you.
- 38:49Absent, there's a big there's a big role in psychology here as
- 38:53well. I think we have to take a
- 38:54responsibility on us as a community to continually educate
- 38:58ourselves on spotting those signs of weakness, being aware
- 39:03in in what might be something visible we can see in a
- 39:07community member, which might be physical or something which
- 39:11we'll be able to spot. And also just communication.
- 39:13Absolutely. How often do we speak to people?
- 39:15How are you doing? See, Ali and I Hamdullah, we we
- 39:18were able to attend an event hosted by by one of the Absok
- 39:22SOAS Absok a few weeks ago with doctor Safraaz Juraj.
- 39:25You know, I've seen. Doctor Yeah.
- 39:27He's amazing. S He's Yeah.
- 39:31He's amazing, solid and he. We We came.
- 39:34Back and we had like a deep chat about this and we talked about
- 39:37how often do we actually check in on someone.
- 39:40We always say, how are we doing? How's family?
- 39:42OK, call us. You know, it's like a tick box
- 39:44after you say how are you, you don't actually engage with
- 39:47people. Let's tell me about your life.
- 39:49How's things going? What can I do to make things
- 39:52easier for you? So it's a very important thing
- 39:54because no, no, no, we need it. We need it.
- 39:56We. Needed Habibi Ahmad because, you
- 39:58know, I work in the community. And I see this happening.
- 40:03In our communities. Suddenly, somebody will stop.
- 40:06Coming to the mosque, stop attending programs.
- 40:09Whereas the person before Marshall Law in the forefront
- 40:13and what happens is people don't bother to ask.
- 40:20We've not seen this gentleman or this lady for some time, and to
- 40:26your shock, when you go further to find out why, you realize
- 40:34that the person is. Really struggling either with.
- 40:38Mental health related issue and today habibi with this high cost
- 40:43of level, I see people reaching rock bottom.
- 40:46People cannot maintain their mortgages.
- 40:51People diagnosed of cancer, they said you know what, I'm going to
- 40:58keep to myself. So I like what you mentioned.
- 41:01We need to check on each other. Profit is to encourage the
- 41:04companions. Those who are around Prophet.
- 41:11They are so merciful to one another.
- 41:14If they wouldn't see a person in the mosque, they will ask.
- 41:16They used to literally know where people who are sitting in
- 41:19the mosque. Because they used to reach out
- 41:22to. People.
- 41:23And like the way Prophet did with Ansar and Mahajarin, he
- 41:27made them brothers. You check on him, you check on
- 41:30him, you look after him, you don't see him ask about him.
- 41:33And then of course, he made he and Amir Mormon in the brothers.
- 41:37So these are all important. The history of Islam.
- 41:39Mosque of the Prophet in the holy city of Medina.
- 41:42It was a hive of activity. It wasn't just a place for
- 41:44Salah, no. Even people went for proposals.
- 41:49Of marriage, like in the case of Imam Ali when he went to Akhil,
- 41:52was a genealogist at that time. But that wasn't the only matter
- 41:57happening in that mosque of the Prophet.
- 41:58If you examine the mosque of the Prophet, realize experts in
- 42:02different fields used to sit in different corners after Salah
- 42:06and please to approach them why can't we do the same in this
- 42:12world when we have the blessings of technology.
- 42:15So I think we need to do something.
- 42:17The last point on this you know I attended a program in
- 42:20Birmingham. It was organized by one of the
- 42:24charity organizations, the Non-muslim Charity Organization,
- 42:27and I was invited to take part in the discussion.
- 42:31So there's some stalls. Out there outside before the
- 42:34program. So I went to one store, said 2
- 42:38old ladies. They had pamphlets, you know,
- 42:41posters, pen you know, personalized pen for the
- 42:46organization. Ask them what do you up, what do
- 42:50you do, what are you up to? They said, look, we retired, so.
- 42:54What we do? We give these posters if you
- 42:58know someone suffering or even if you are self suffering, just
- 43:01call. It's confidential.
- 43:04You'll not even. Know the one you are talking to.
- 43:06So they call it. You want to talk to someone,
- 43:09just call. So they said every day people
- 43:12call them, they just talk to them.
- 43:13Wow, just a chat. Just a chat.
- 43:15I think they call them like Samaritans.
- 43:18Excellent Bless you, Habibi, Alastair, Alec.
- 43:22That's the name Samaritans do. Amazing.
- 43:24And they're doing amazing work. Why can't we do something like
- 43:27you can volunteer? For them you don't have to be
- 43:29fantastic, you don't have to be a specialist, so that's really
- 43:32good. Yeah, these.
- 43:33Are the teachings of the Holy Prophet in a little bit?
- 43:35Yeah, yeah. I want to go back a little to
- 43:39your earlier points where you mentioned like for example, we
- 43:42haven't like understood the relationship we have with Allah,
- 43:45that whether the good, the bad, the ugly, ultimately there's a
- 43:48relationship and connection we have with the Last Of.
- 43:51And it's very true. We forget that Allah is with us
- 43:55all the time and He like as you were speaking.
- 43:58I'm thinking like Allah's with us from the day we're born and
- 44:01when. We're put into our.
- 44:02Cradle until the day we die and beyond and he's inshallah, He's
- 44:06there with us 24/7. So we have to remember that
- 44:10whatever struggles we have, whatever for example, whether
- 44:14it's anxiety or depression and you know, picking up, echoing
- 44:17the earlier conversation of the abstract of the doctor.
- 44:19When it comes to like mental health issues, I think we forget
- 44:23that Allah's the ultimate source that sometimes, you know, even
- 44:27if we're facing something so difficult, we don't think that
- 44:31Allah can get us out of it. So so for.
- 44:33Example, we say. OK, I'm in this situation.
- 44:36I'm doomed, you know I'm facing rock bottom, but we don't look
- 44:40out. Look out for a way to get out
- 44:42with Allah. So like, we forget for example,
- 44:46that all it takes is possibly just a little bit of the, you
- 44:50know, y'allah, make it easy for us, for example, you know, Yeah,
- 44:54yeah, you know, 'cause even like we're speaking about being
- 44:56lonely. You know, we always read from
- 44:58all that years and the ZR art, even like Ramadan will be coming
- 45:01up soon. We all, we all redo our Josh and
- 45:04Kabir for the nice of Amman. You know, there are certain
- 45:06lines there. For example, a lot is our
- 45:08companion and loneliness. Absolutely a lot.
- 45:11For example, our, you know, he's our companion when when we're
- 45:14feeling Gharib, I don't know the exact Yeah, it's a.
- 45:17Very chicken colored. Yeah.
- 45:19Yeah, yeah, so. Habibi like these are certain
- 45:23key phrases that I think we should ponder.
- 45:25Absolutely. But I want to focus a bit about
- 45:27loneliness. Yes, because it's a real
- 45:29problem. I love people's face.
- 45:31There's like three groups. Before coming here, I was
- 45:34thinking, how can we group loneliness when it comes to our
- 45:38connection with our last part of Allah?
- 45:39The first thing that came to my head, the first group is we have
- 45:42generically, people who go out to pursue further studies, to
- 45:47pursue a career where they leave their family, they leave their
- 45:49community and they travel the world.
- 45:52People seeking work can do the same.
- 45:54So that's one group of loneliness, but I think that's
- 45:56like a choice. They've chosen to be in that
- 45:59stage and in that environment. In that scenario, then you have
- 46:02the other group, for example, which is family members where
- 46:06there's no relationship between your mum or your dad or your
- 46:09siblings or your loved ones, your near ones even like
- 46:11spouses, relationship breakdown, divorces happened.
- 46:14You feel lonely like you feel. Like.
- 46:17People have abandoned you. But I think the real problem we
- 46:20face with loneliness in our communities are Reaverts.
- 46:26Because, and I say this, why? Because, Shechna, I know a
- 46:28little about your story. I don't know much, but you have
- 46:32shared enough with the community for us to understand your
- 46:35struggles that you went through. Because I was thinking, you
- 46:38know, for a reaver. And first of all, Hamdullah lots
- 46:40of Plano Tyler guided them to his path and also they've been
- 46:44guided to the path of Alib, Nabi, Salah and Charlotte.
- 46:47That's that's that's the best of paths that will take us to
- 46:50Allah. But they face a moment in their
- 46:52lives where their family will abandoned them, but they never
- 46:55abandoned Allah. Their circle of friends.
- 46:59Can abandoned them and neglect them, yet they didn't neglect
- 47:03Allah's Apostle absolutely. Every stage in fact.
- 47:06I think it made that connection that born that relationship with
- 47:09them and their creator even stronger that no matter if the
- 47:13wall can abandoned them because they found a lot the fact they
- 47:16reverted they found a loss of Hanover town and they understood
- 47:20what a law means to them and they valued that relationship.
- 47:24And the reason why I wanted to mention this.
- 47:26Number one, I'm not sure how much you're comfortable with
- 47:29sharing with our listeners, but there are reverse out there who
- 47:32feel alone that even like when they have reverted to Islam,
- 47:36they go to their community. But the community doesn't want a
- 47:39bigger relationship apart from welcome to Islam, brother.
- 47:42Yeah, absolutely. I think.
- 47:45This is something very important you've raised.
- 47:50And that is why if you ask. Yourself a simple question
- 47:53wherever you may be. My dear brother she of Imam Ali.
- 48:00Where is the centre for the? Rivers.
- 48:03UK Where? United.
- 48:06States where? Canada Where?
- 48:10Where? Where are the rivers?
- 48:13Don't we have them? They are there.
- 48:17In big numbers, it's growing big time we have our WhatsApp of the
- 48:22rivers. From all over the world.
- 48:25Most especially in the Western Caribbea with.
- 48:28Some of our amazing. Shiok here in the UK like Sheikh
- 48:31Zakariya shaka Madani shaka Yop shaka dris massive.
- 48:39But who cares when I say? OK, I'm talking of the.
- 48:42Wider communities. Serious loneliness are there.
- 48:48But people are navigating through the love they establish
- 48:52with God and. Number one when.
- 48:57You become a Muslim. It's a big challenge, Habibi.
- 49:03It's a big challenge because not all your family members will
- 49:06accept. Sometimes there are situations
- 49:09none of the family members accept you.
- 49:13So you navigate through and then now that you are a Muslim,
- 49:17thinking that when you go to the Muslims the moment you enter the
- 49:21mosque, all will receive you with all arms.
- 49:27But then people now doubting. You the skeptical What are you
- 49:32coming here for? Who is he?
- 49:35The thinking of their security because it's crucial to look
- 49:38after our security. But you see the person coming to
- 49:41pray, that also hits people very hard.
- 49:47And as you realize when you go to most of our mosques, you
- 49:50don't see the rivet except feel harmful.
- 49:53It doesn't mean that others are out of their fold.
- 49:57No, they are very strong. They are very powerful.
- 50:00Marriage rivet are going through a lot.
- 50:04It's a big challenge. Yeah, baby, because, OK, now I'm
- 50:07no more what I used to be. I've taken this new cloth of
- 50:12being a Muslim or Shia, of a middleman.
- 50:14Alec is Saddam. Who's going to marry me?
- 50:16Who is going to marry me? That loneliness is still there.
- 50:21My daughter, my son. How am I going to introduce them
- 50:26to the community? What's going to happen?
- 50:29So I think this is a very important point you've raised
- 50:31that loneliness is there and we interact with Rivet a lot.
- 50:35As I mentioned earlier on with the Adashi, the only way really
- 50:39our brothers and sisters have gotten through is through God.
- 50:43They realise that you know what, you can bank and depend on
- 50:47others anymore. You just have to find your feet.
- 50:51You became a Muslim or Shia not because of them.
- 50:55I Santo. Because of Allah, some got
- 50:59divorced the day they became Muslims because either the
- 51:02husband said I'm not interested in this or the wife is saying
- 51:05I'm and the husband or wife was saying, oh, give you some time,
- 51:08let's see. No, no, I'm not interested.
- 51:10You've taken something different.
- 51:11I'm not interested in this. But God, you know recently I
- 51:14travelled somewhere I don't want to mention the name and I came
- 51:17across some rivers. So after my March list they.
- 51:24Started coming. One after the other to talk to
- 51:25me. No, no them.
- 51:27Said. You know Sheikh.
- 51:28We're happy to see Someone Like You.
- 51:30First time we seen somebody in our city like you, and now you
- 51:35even made it more exciting to remain as a Shia as part of
- 51:38them. But then I.
- 51:40Asked them a question, when did you become a Shia and how are
- 51:44you managing? Said look, it's been a while
- 51:47maybe. Before you Sheikh, but.
- 51:50There is only one. Thing that kept us going.
- 51:54We made our research. And we discovered the school of
- 51:57thought of Adelbide. We discovered the truth.
- 52:00So that hack and the truth. So God.
- 52:05God. I like.
- 52:06Your point man. We need God.
- 52:08So my brother, my dear sister, whether you are Rivet or not,
- 52:11you've I'm sure you have your own shares of pains.
- 52:15Linked up with God. Yes, you need.
- 52:16Experts, But that's not alone without God.
- 52:20Because Allah is above the principle of course and effect.
- 52:25We are interdependent. But Allah is independent.
- 52:31Existence to him is necessary. But I and you or whoever support
- 52:36you, which is crucial. You need to go.
- 52:38We are possible beings. Allah is necessary.
- 52:41Being existence to Allah is necessary.
- 52:43But to I and you is not necessary.
- 52:45It's possible. You may leave tomorrow.
- 52:47You may not leave. You may leave the next hour.
- 52:49You may not leave. So as we depend on one another,
- 52:53we should not forget the fact that we need to connect with a
- 52:58lot of our God, Allah. That's how Ali Bait managed.
- 53:01They've gone through a lot, Ali. Bait went through.
- 53:05A lot habibi they managed because of their connection with
- 53:09Allah. Allah, that's so important like
- 53:12I mentioned tonight in one of my image list.
- 53:20When he was in the. Prison of Harun Rashid and the
- 53:24warder that time was Sindhi Ivanashahek, notorious prison
- 53:28order who was really cruel, who tortured Imam to such an extent
- 53:36when they would remove, you know the obstacle from the head of
- 53:44the Imam, the Pole. Because while Imam was in the in
- 53:47the prison he couldn't tell whether it was day or night
- 53:50Habibi. At one moment they removed the
- 53:53pole and Imam wanted to have a glimpse of the daylight.
- 53:57What happened? They smacked him.
- 54:01They smacked him. And they kicked his face.
- 54:03But my point is here, listen to what you said.
- 54:08Imam made the at one point he said yeah Morales a surgery
- 54:14Baina rambling were teen in Wama Khalisni Mensigini Harun Rashi.
- 54:24He said oh the one who frees 3IN between clay water and sand free
- 54:35me from the prison of Harun Rashi.
- 54:38Imam subjected to Allah. That's the point he resorted to
- 54:43a lot. I see.
- 54:45You know, Yes, Aruna, Rashid, they've got the authority.
- 54:47They may release him, they may not.
- 54:49But the ultimate is from Allah. So therefore, really brothers
- 54:53and sisters, I know he's tough. But don't forget.
- 54:58The fact that Allah is there for you, you don't have to be an
- 55:02Angel overnight. You don't have to be praying the
- 55:06whole night, keeping night vigil.
- 55:08No, no, no, no. Depends on your relationship.
- 55:11Ask Quran of different stages, different level.
- 55:16Take it according to your way and you know this line scoreless
- 55:20in the fold of spirituality. They say you know Allah comes to
- 55:23us in full. How?
- 55:25You take Allah. It depends.
- 55:26On you some may take him 1%, some may take him 2%.
- 55:29Allah is there in full, you don't have to put there, put
- 55:32money there together. Allah you can call him, talk to
- 55:36him and insha Allah he will see you through your challenges so.
- 55:41It's progress, isn't it? Yeah, progress, absolutely.
- 55:43We have to keep. Making an effort?
- 55:46Absolutely. And these we keep mentioning
- 55:48Shekman in all of these recent podcasts that we are inshallah
- 55:52trying to sow the seeds of proximity to last and to the.
- 55:57Other bit of Islam. So we'll do that, Inshallah.
- 55:59We. Thank you again for your wisdom,
- 56:01being here for taking the time of a busy schedule.
- 56:05I I truly. Want to go and restart my whole
- 56:07relationship with no no no you. Give it up.
- 56:12Give it up. Really.
- 56:13You bring, you bring a. Lord to us.
- 56:18But the spiritual says. To us, you watch the.
- 56:20Button of the lights. I love it.
- 56:25I genuinely remember. But I have two things to say.
- 56:27Just quickly or three things. With your permission, share.
- 56:30Firstly, for those who want to know more about your journey,
- 56:35yeah we did. You'll remember we had we did an
- 56:39episode of Up close in Birmingham.
- 56:41Do you remember about 5-6 years ago you and I recorded a great
- 56:44conversation where you, you very mashallah, openly talked about
- 56:49your journey from your early days in Ghana up until today and
- 56:53your your transition and all the transformation you had including
- 56:56your reversion story and also the loneliness and the
- 56:59abandonment you face your community in Ghana, which is
- 57:02mind blowing and you know it's completely inspiring.
- 57:05So check that out by the sisters as well.
- 57:07Secondly, I also pray for your loneliness.
- 57:10Share because you are a Chelsea fan.
- 57:12Oh my God. We beat you last week for.
- 57:15One I've been. Waiting to see you.
- 57:17Share I can hold you to this big time for one.
- 57:20That's. Yeah, great day.
- 57:24We keep praying, man. Next year, I think we'll bounce
- 57:26back. I don't want to say no, no, no,
- 57:30That's one thing. I.
- 57:31Don't. And the last thing about Sisters
- 57:34Shekhar you mentioned about the a lot in this conversation we
- 57:39talked about family and parents. For those who haven't seen
- 57:42already, Shekhar Laws endorsed a project which Adelbate TV App
- 57:47Large are working on, which is that of Adelbate Kids, which is
- 57:50a brand new, really exciting collaborative project with
- 57:55designers, producers, actors, scripters from around the
- 57:59Western world and those who are talented within our community,
- 58:03the educationists, the parents and the scholars.
- 58:05To bring you a 24/7 Western Shia channel that will broadcast
- 58:11across the day for our youth, zero to 15 years old
- 58:14specifically and also a 24/7 app that you can use on your phone,
- 58:18your tablets. This is the first of its kind.
- 58:20Why are we supporting Genocide supporters like Disney plus
- 58:24Netflix and so on, paying a subscription there.
- 58:27Support Adelbate TV for this project because this is a
- 58:30project which will bring people and especially our youth towards
- 58:34the part of Ireland and inshallah the the community will
- 58:39move forward. This is a support which this is
- 58:41a project which community and especially parents who need to
- 58:44get behind share. So thank you for supporting this
- 58:47project. Thank you SO.
- 58:48Much Ben inshallah all our parents inshallah watching this.
- 58:53Let us all try as much as we can to support this for the dunya of
