- 0:14Speaker 2: Now let's get into it.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Welcome to We Talk Back Podcast, the production of iHeartRadio
- 0:19Speaker 3: and the Black Effect Network.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Talk Talk.
- 0:24Speaker 4: We're just two unapologetically black women with an opinion who talks.
- 0:32Speaker 1: What's up, y'all? It's your girl a j holiday Am.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Hey, y'all is Tam Bam. I love y'all so very much.
- 0:39Speaker 4: How you doing, aj, I'm doing girl.
- 0:43Speaker 3: It's been a long short, a long weekend, long short
- 0:48Speaker 3: couple of weeks. Yeah, man, I've been mourning. Man. I
- 0:52Speaker 3: lost my first best friend last week before last. Actually
- 0:57Speaker 3: in her funeral was yesterday.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Oh wow, sorry to hear that, girl. Life be life
- 1:03Speaker 1: in y'all. I don't know.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I don't know, and I don't think. I might be
- 1:11Speaker 3: nosy and I might foul. Let me not say that
- 1:13Speaker 3: on here. Yeah, but I'm gonna find out what happened
- 1:16Speaker 3: to my friend. But she passed away. She was staying
- 1:19Speaker 3: with her mom. She passed away at her mom's house,
- 1:21Speaker 3: and you know, she just she was struggling a little bit.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I don't know what else, but check on y'all people.
- 1:30Speaker 3: People might say okay and just not. And she text
- 1:33Speaker 3: me the day before she passed and I didn't respond
- 1:35Speaker 3: because I was super busy. And it's not that I
- 1:40Speaker 3: regret not responding, because people be exactly how I'm supposed to.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yes, so a lot of unanswered questions. But it's weird, man.
- 1:53Speaker 1: That is always weird.
- 1:54Speaker 3: But it's expected because, like the preacher was saying at
- 1:57Speaker 3: church yesterday, nighttime will come welcome. We just don't win, right,
- 2:02Speaker 3: So you got to make sure you executing on all
- 2:05Speaker 3: the things that you're supposed to be doing his lifetime.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Don't waste no gifts, do all the things every day
- 2:12Speaker 3: to the max and take.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Us and grat right.
- 2:16Speaker 3: That'll kind of take us into day into today's topic
- 2:19Speaker 3: a little bit when we get.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Into absolutely, I was in Paris following drink around.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Did you get his number?
- 2:31Speaker 4: And no, I did not get his number, Unfortunately I
- 2:35Speaker 4: did not, But we we had a great time. You know.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Shout out to Zobah.
- 2:40Speaker 4: She always makes sure we're good, and me and my
- 2:44Speaker 4: best friend went so hung out in Paris. But now
- 2:46Speaker 4: I came back and now I just don't feel the
- 2:49Speaker 4: world's greatest. It's just being on those flights, those nine
- 2:52Speaker 4: hour flights. It's hard to come back healthy and healthy
- 2:56Speaker 4: as you left. So I'm a bit under the weather.
- 2:59Speaker 4: And I think I may have even ruptured my ear
- 3:03Speaker 4: drum because I was a little congested on the flight
- 3:08Speaker 4: and I blew my nose and I felt something that
- 3:12Speaker 4: felt weird in my right ear after I blew my nose,
- 3:15Speaker 4: and it's still you know that feeling that you feel
- 3:17Speaker 4: when it's just like you need your ear pop. It
- 3:20Speaker 4: just it still feels like that. And this is days
- 3:23Speaker 4: after the flight.
- 3:24Speaker 3: So yeah, I be hella congestant and just regular day,
- 3:28Speaker 3: but on a plane it be even worse. I know
- 3:30Speaker 3: exactly what you talk about. You're trying to blow that
- 3:33Speaker 3: air to pop your ear out.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and it just won't pop. So yeah, shames that.
- 3:40Speaker 4: So that's what I've been doing, just trying to heal.
- 3:42Speaker 4: When I landed, So we stayed out every night until
- 3:46Speaker 4: like five thirty in the.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Morning, because that's why I stick to you.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Immune sister, probably down as well, just from drinking, not sleeping.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Bruh. When I tell you, like.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, My I felt like my liver hurt.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Like I was just like drinking nothing but water because
- 4:06Speaker 4: I drink Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, five days in
- 4:10Speaker 4: a row, like really drinking, drinking, like drinking like I'm
- 4:14Speaker 4: twenty two years old drinking.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Maybe I was hurting.
- 4:18Speaker 4: I slept for sixteen hours once I landed back in
- 4:20Speaker 4: the States.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I slept for.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Sixteen Your body got to catch up.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I can't do it like that.
- 4:25Speaker 4: No more about damn killed my damn self trying to
- 4:29Speaker 4: hang out with the young folks.
- 4:30Speaker 3: You lead that ship to them young, and I know
- 4:33Speaker 3: he's gonna need no sleep.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Pev stink.
- 4:37Speaker 4: They adn't drink no water the whole trip, the whole No,
- 4:43Speaker 4: I had no water. Yeah, but that was my week.
- 4:48Speaker 4: The weekend was, you know. I hung out a little bit.
- 4:54Speaker 4: One of my one of my friends, he had like
- 4:56Speaker 4: as he threw his first H R and B concert,
- 4:59Speaker 4: So I out and supported that on Friday with my
- 5:02Speaker 4: little booth thing. It was a nice time with my friends.
- 5:06Speaker 4: I think God might have been Yeah, I need let
- 5:09Speaker 4: me let me see if I can get your booth
- 5:11Speaker 4: thay moem flight passes because he needed that shit.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna see if I can find an extra.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Oh no, bitch, we both bought that Frontier shit. Did
- 5:18Speaker 3: y'all see that? He actually paid more for his because
- 5:21Speaker 3: the flight from He's coming from Philly, so the flight
- 5:24Speaker 3: is like fifteen dollars or something like that. They got
- 5:28Speaker 3: direct flights from Philly here, so really that's the only
- 5:31Speaker 3: reason why he bought the little package. I purchased the
- 5:33Speaker 3: shit just to and I feel like I'm never gonna
- 5:36Speaker 3: be able to use it. I think he might have
- 5:38Speaker 3: paid like five hundred dollars for it. Then he had
- 5:39Speaker 3: like a clearance sale and that shit, and I paid
- 5:43Speaker 3: two ninety nine for it. But then when you look
- 5:45Speaker 3: at the flight so okay, first of all, Frontier they
- 5:49Speaker 3: only usually have like I guess technically four flights a
- 5:53Speaker 3: week or two flights a week or some shit like that.
- 5:55Speaker 3: So like say, for instance, if I fly from here
- 5:57Speaker 3: to Atlanta, I could fly out Friday and then the
- 6:01Speaker 3: next flight hopefully it will be Monday, but you might
- 6:05Speaker 3: fuck around have to hop on another flight depending on
- 6:07Speaker 3: like their flight schedule. But you just have to cover
- 6:10Speaker 3: the taxes once you pay for this fee. But it's
- 6:13Speaker 3: unlimited flying and one I got doesn't expire until twenty
- 6:16Speaker 3: twenty seven. But y'all know, Spirit just file bankruptcy. So
- 6:19Speaker 3: I'm thinking, like, are these people fund raising? They're about
- 6:24Speaker 3: to go out of business too, and y'all just snatched
- 6:25Speaker 3: up a bunch of people's money knowing damn well, you're
- 6:27Speaker 3: not gonna be able to catch these flights because it's
- 6:30Speaker 3: a good bit of places I could.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Fly to using it.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Vegas, Miami, placed out, New York. Yeah, okay, mm hmm
- 6:40Speaker 3: for two ninety nine. But the flying, the dates is
- 6:44Speaker 3: just kind of stupid. The schedule, yeah, it's kind of
- 6:47Speaker 3: You gotta really plan and you got to backpack it. Basically,
- 6:49Speaker 3: you can't be trying to take two last suitcases like
- 6:52Speaker 3: I usually travel.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That's where they charge you those fees. With these cheap.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Airlines, you're not paying a lot for the Yeah, so
- 7:01Speaker 3: if you if you're a conservative girly, and I think
- 7:05Speaker 3: they still have it, it's called a go wild pass
- 7:08Speaker 3: on Frontier.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Can we get a check Frontier? Thank you? Wild?
- 7:14Speaker 4: Oh wow, I'm gonna see I might get one just
- 7:16Speaker 4: to have a backup plan.
- 7:17Speaker 3: For my Oh no, exactly, Yeah, you might want to
- 7:22Speaker 3: check into that.
- 7:23Speaker 1: All right, let's get a man, Charlie Kirk.
- 7:31Speaker 3: So, Charlie Kirk is a politician and he was murdered last.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Politician or was he just a commentator or I.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Guess well, I'll say politician, right, because I know a
- 7:45Speaker 3: lot of our listeners probably don't tune into Candas Owens.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I do.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Last year, sometime when Candabe Owens first started her series
- 7:57Speaker 3: on the President of France and his first Nigga, somebody
- 8:05Speaker 3: called her from the White House and told her that
- 8:09Speaker 3: the President of France flew over here supposedly on official business,
- 8:13Speaker 3: but really he came to get Donald Trump to tell
- 8:17Speaker 3: Canis Owns to shut the fuck up, right, And it
- 8:20Speaker 3: was Cannis Owens disclosed last week it was actually Charlie
- 8:25Speaker 3: Kirk that Trump had called her initially, and then Trump
- 8:30Speaker 3: ended up back calling her back directly hurt himself, like, hey,
- 8:34Speaker 3: you gotta you gotta I mean, she looks like a
- 8:36Speaker 3: woman to me, man, you gotta stuff talk about his
- 8:38Speaker 3: wife on some like ship like that influence. So yeah,
- 8:44Speaker 3: and show did Charlie Kirk obviously right, He closely connected
- 8:48Speaker 3: with the White House, so I would I would, yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 3: I would say that he is a politician podcaster.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Oh, sorry to interrupt, but speaking of the Prime Minister
- 8:59Speaker 4: of Frank Me. We left a day early because they
- 9:03Speaker 4: were having like this huge protest called block Everything.
- 9:07Speaker 1: No yes, France, the shit is falling right, yeah, and.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Baby, we had to get the fuck up out of there.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Like I was like, I ain't get this, Ain't got
- 9:14Speaker 4: nothing to do with me. They was burning shit in
- 9:16Speaker 4: the street, blocking highways and doing all kinds of foolishness.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So we got up out of there.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And you know, cannon Zones is being sued by them, right,
- 9:25Speaker 3: which is this unprecedented? Basically, you have a foreign nation
- 9:29Speaker 3: suing a podcaster because of the influence that she has
- 9:34Speaker 3: and because she do real life research. She's not telling you, Hey,
- 9:38Speaker 3: believe me because I say so. When I tell you,
- 9:40Speaker 3: she's gonna map shit out, even a motherfucker.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Whole family tree.
- 9:45Speaker 3: So you can get a clear understanding and it's up
- 9:47Speaker 3: to you, right, yeah, a discernment, right, but it's up
- 9:51Speaker 3: to you to do your further research.
- 9:53Speaker 1: She definitely gives.
- 9:54Speaker 3: You all information and that's the problem. She got a
- 9:57Speaker 3: lot of people listening, tuning in and the sh it
- 10:00Speaker 3: make too much sense. So now they're trying to silence her.
- 10:03Speaker 3: So now they have now murdered somebody very close to
- 10:05Speaker 3: her because the reason why Trump had her call, had
- 10:08Speaker 3: him call Charlie Kirk call her because they are friends.
- 10:12Speaker 3: It's similar and influence, you know exactly. So you know,
- 10:18Speaker 3: so Charlie Kirk was murdered. He was shot and killed
- 10:21Speaker 3: while speaking at a TPUSA public debate even in Utah
- 10:27Speaker 3: at Utah Valley University campus. Is death gating international attention
- 10:31Speaker 3: that led to the condemnation, condemned, condemnation, condemnation of political
- 10:40Speaker 3: violence of prominent domestic and international figures. And then here's
- 10:44Speaker 3: the thing. It's like that is a part of American culture.
- 10:48Speaker 3: We kill politicians.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Now. I don't know who the WI is because we
- 10:52Speaker 1: aren't the Wei.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Right, I don't know if it's one of them alphabets
- 10:57Speaker 3: or are these people operating, you know, on behalf of
- 11:03Speaker 3: a foreign nation. That's what it's looking like, That's what
- 11:07Speaker 3: it's seeming like. So who really runs America?
- 11:10Speaker 1: Right?
- 11:10Speaker 3: And they can just murder our presidents when they don't
- 11:13Speaker 3: do what they want them to do, when they seemingly
- 11:16Speaker 3: might be changing and and and seeing things a little
- 11:20Speaker 3: bit differently, and they snatch him up.
- 11:23Speaker 4: It's not even just politicians. If you look at anybody,
- 11:27Speaker 4: especially in black people, you know, who had a powerful
- 11:30Speaker 4: voice and had influence.
- 11:32Speaker 1: They get murdered young a lot of times.
- 11:36Speaker 3: They're gonna take them up before they can actually make
- 11:39Speaker 3: huge yea even more impact. Right, we're talking to like
- 11:44Speaker 3: Martin Luther King, Like, we don't realize how young these
- 11:46Speaker 3: people are until we get past their age of living.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Right, you know what I'm saying.
- 11:51Speaker 4: It's crazy, Like Martin Luther King was a young ass nigga.
- 11:55Speaker 1: He just hell p Newton, Yeah, like just young young.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Oh crazy man.
- 12:04Speaker 4: What happened to Charlie Kirk awful? You know, his family,
- 12:08Speaker 4: his kids were out there and he bled out in
- 12:11Speaker 4: front of the world essentially.
- 12:14Speaker 3: And I put on my story stop sending me death?
- 12:17Speaker 1: You think I do?
- 12:17Speaker 3: Know if I be seeing the whole internet. First of all,
- 12:21Speaker 3: I have seen the entire Internet. I don't need nobody
- 12:23Speaker 3: who send me no memes like I like means like,
- 12:25Speaker 3: so occasionally I come across from shit I've never seen,
- 12:27Speaker 3: and I still like ha ha ha.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Even if I've seen it.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I saw the video. Don't text me death, do not
- 12:35Speaker 3: inbox me death. We are becoming so desensitized. We are
- 12:40Speaker 3: not supposed to have that type of shit in our psyche.
- 12:43Speaker 3: It's not a video game. This is real life and
- 12:47Speaker 3: in front of a bunch of people. And I feel
- 12:48Speaker 3: like whoever shot him intentionally shot him in the neck.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So he could bleed it out like that.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Yes, so it can be as gruesome as possible. They
- 12:57Speaker 3: made an example out of him for a reason, and
- 13:01Speaker 3: none of us, you.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Know, it's above it.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, they can take any one of us out.
- 13:07Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. You got a strong enough voice,
- 13:09Speaker 3: you start reaching the people. They're coming for you, right,
- 13:12Speaker 3: because I think that there as straws for sure.
- 13:17Speaker 1: The veil is down right, So it's a.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Lot of a lot of fig ship. People ain't going
- 13:22Speaker 3: for it, No more people asking questions now, Yeah, this
- 13:27Speaker 3: is the age of Aquarius. Y'all can't hide ship from
- 13:31Speaker 3: the people now. So yeah, I wish that black people
- 13:35Speaker 3: wouldn't make this a black and white thing. And I
- 13:37Speaker 3: don't know, actually it's like both sides making it a black.
- 13:40Speaker 4: And because it's Yeah, because you see the HBCUs have
- 13:45Speaker 4: been getting death threats and getting threatening calls and then
- 13:49Speaker 4: closing down campuses just to ensure the safety of the students,
- 13:53Speaker 4: and a black person didn't do it. But I think
- 13:57Speaker 4: a lot of black people are making fun of what
- 14:02Speaker 4: happened to him, and that's why people are mad. There's
- 14:05Speaker 4: some people who like, I mean, I think it's awful
- 14:10Speaker 4: what happened to him, But I didn't.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I didn't. I ain't gonna.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Say I lost a whole lot of sleep over it.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:18Speaker 3: So I have a hard time condemning people as much
- 14:22Speaker 3: as y'all think I talk a lot of shit like
- 14:24Speaker 3: I really, you lead people to their own vices and
- 14:27Speaker 3: they'll destroy themselves, right. So, yeah, I have seen old
- 14:31Speaker 3: videos where Charlie Kirk. And I knew about Charlie Kirk
- 14:34Speaker 3: before a lot of black people because you know, I
- 14:37Speaker 3: tune into more conservative views, right So, but a lot
- 14:41Speaker 3: of black people didn't learn who he was until he
- 14:43Speaker 3: passed away until the shooting, right so they didn't even
- 14:47Speaker 3: know like the type of shit he was talking on
- 14:49Speaker 3: YouTube and ship on his platform.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Until he died.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I knew exactly who that dude was, and I also
- 14:55Speaker 3: saw that he was he was kind of changing also, right,
- 14:57Speaker 3: So the stuff you are seen online aside from that
- 15:01Speaker 3: debate he had recently right spewing out all these statistics
- 15:06Speaker 3: because who the fuck is controlling the statistics, It's not us.
- 15:09Speaker 4: And then some of them statistics were wrong that he
- 15:12Speaker 4: was saying, just completely wrong.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, they have demonized black people so much that people,
- 15:18Speaker 3: you know, even some of our own people, they have
- 15:20Speaker 3: these talking points against black people because this is what
- 15:23Speaker 3: they're being told to say, to say essentially. But I
- 15:30Speaker 3: saw a lot of white people because of the other
- 15:32Speaker 3: outlets that I tune into in my timeline might look
- 15:35Speaker 3: a little bit different on Instagram as well. I see
- 15:37Speaker 3: a lot of white people also on Twitter talking shit
- 15:40Speaker 3: about him being murdered. A lot of gay white males,
- 15:42Speaker 3: a lot of gay white women. A lot of people
- 15:44Speaker 3: are talking shit about him. It's not just black people.
- 15:47Speaker 3: But what I do see publicized that most is this
- 15:49Speaker 3: one black woman who was just recently arrested at a
- 15:51Speaker 3: college campus, right saying.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ha ha ha, he's dead, da da da.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I don't know why she was even arrested because isn't
- 15:57Speaker 3: that is that not freedom of speech? Right, she was arrested,
- 16:00Speaker 3: But this is what they publicize and make it look
- 16:02Speaker 3: like it's black people that's celebrating his death. I've mostly
- 16:06Speaker 3: only seen white men celebrating his death, and that's who
- 16:10Speaker 3: also murdered him.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Right, This don't really have nothing to do with us. Absolutely,
- 16:15Speaker 4: it really has nothing to do with us. So it's
- 16:18Speaker 4: a shame, which brings me to our next sin of
- 16:21Speaker 4: the week. Did you see where that young black man
- 16:25Speaker 4: was murdered at a college campus?
- 16:28Speaker 1: And was it mississipis Mississippi? Yeah, yep, and the.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Play, but it's saying that his leg allegedly his leg
- 16:40Speaker 4: was broken and he was hung from a tree, so
- 16:42Speaker 4: he hung hisself from a tree.
- 16:44Speaker 3: No, then this should happens more often than they report, right,
- 16:50Speaker 3: because there's no reason. Why was it twenty twenty one
- 16:55Speaker 3: where they had the they finally passed the Immittil.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Bill because black people are still.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Being hung in America. So imagine we're in a super
- 17:04Speaker 3: duper twentieth century and they're just now passing the law
- 17:08Speaker 3: to not hang us because niggas are still being hung.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Because we're still being hung, and that's crazy, And you
- 17:19Speaker 4: can't tell me that that baby did that to himself.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I've refused to believe that.
- 17:23Speaker 3: No, absolutely not. So, I mean if you guys haven't heard,
- 17:27Speaker 3: because it's not all over the news like everything else,
- 17:29Speaker 3: like Charlie Kirk's death. So authorities are investigating after the
- 17:32Speaker 3: body of a twenty one year old student at Delta
- 17:35Speaker 3: State University in Mississippi was found hanging from a tree
- 17:38Speaker 3: on campus. The student was identified as a twenty one
- 17:41Speaker 3: year old Damar Travian. Damar Travian. They called him Trede
- 17:47Speaker 3: Reid of gre He was also international student. Looks right,
- 17:53Speaker 3: according to Delta State President doctor Danielle enes Ennis, our
- 17:58Speaker 3: community is deeply sadness is just a quote by the loss,
- 18:01Speaker 3: so it says the Delta States Director of Public Safety,
- 18:03Speaker 3: Mike Heeler said university police received a call around seven
- 18:07Speaker 3: o five am Monday in reference to the body of
- 18:11Speaker 3: a black male hanging from a tree near the central
- 18:15Speaker 3: campus pickleball courts.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Right by the court. Yeah, that's what they said. It
- 18:21Speaker 4: was like on the track.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 18:25Speaker 3: The man is identified as reading his next akin was
- 18:28Speaker 3: notified of his death. So this is horrible. This is horrible.
- 18:33Speaker 3: And they've been marching in the streets for Charlie Kirk's
- 18:37Speaker 3: death and then this woman I can't remember her name,
- 18:40Speaker 3: that was murdered on the train in Charlotte by a
- 18:43Speaker 3: black man. The girl trying to.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Correlate the two. They do not correlate. They're just trying
- 18:51Speaker 1: to make it a correlation. Even how.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Nancy Grace was like bringing back the death, un does
- 19:00Speaker 4: he bring no bring back the fians guard to bring
- 19:03Speaker 4: break something of that nature when they didn't know who
- 19:07Speaker 4: exactly the shooter was. And then once they found out
- 19:10Speaker 4: that he came from a family or a retired cop
- 19:13Speaker 4: and a the mother was a school teacher or something
- 19:16Speaker 4: like that, and they're white conservative people. Now she was like,
- 19:21Speaker 4: pray for his mental health. It's like, why has the
- 19:25Speaker 4: rhetoric changed? What happened to the death? The death he
- 19:28Speaker 4: was wishing.
- 19:29Speaker 3: And you have some politicians wanting to wanting to take
- 19:32Speaker 3: away gun rights for trans people. First of all, let's
- 19:35Speaker 3: call a thing a thing. It's not trans people. It's
- 19:37Speaker 3: white men. Yeakay, it's white men committing the crimes. It's
- 19:42Speaker 3: not a trans woman, right, it is a white man
- 19:46Speaker 3: committing the crime. So if anything, then this means white
- 19:50Speaker 3: men should not be able to carry weapons because they
- 19:54Speaker 3: do a lot of harm.
- 19:56Speaker 4: White men are our domestic terrorists. When you hear of
- 20:01Speaker 4: a mass shooting, school shooting, political shooting, it's white men oftentimes.
- 20:12Speaker 3: And you know, black women gave blames for everything that's
- 20:14Speaker 3: wrong about the Black community, But nobody's blaming white women
- 20:17Speaker 3: for raising terrorists. Nobody's blaming white women. What is going
- 20:21Speaker 3: on in the white household? Right that your son becomes
- 20:27Speaker 3: of age, purchases a gun and then runs up in
- 20:30Speaker 3: a predominantly black neighborhood grocery store which are predominantly a
- 20:34Speaker 3: black church and murders everybody in there.
- 20:37Speaker 1: What did you teach him? How did that happen to him?
- 20:41Speaker 3: I feel like you should go to jail, white lady,
- 20:44Speaker 3: if we condemning all the black moms. And the worst
- 20:46Speaker 3: part about this argument is that it's also our people
- 20:49Speaker 3: that be condemning black women, as if we are the
- 20:51Speaker 3: bunt and the cause of all the things. Right, I
- 20:55Speaker 3: got questions with the other side. What are y'all doing
- 20:58Speaker 3: at the house? A lot of nine the guns for
- 21:03Speaker 3: the kids, know one their child has have mental health issues,
- 21:07Speaker 3: But y'all, y'all know, my brain takes it a lot deeper.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I just I feel like they literally activating people, And
- 21:14Speaker 3: I don't feel like any of this stuff is just happenstance.
- 21:17Speaker 4: If we could just do away with guns altogether, nah,
- 21:21Speaker 4: I think it would be better if there was a
- 21:23Speaker 4: way to like completely get rid of guns, and people
- 21:27Speaker 4: do if they actually had to fist fight or jug
- 21:34Speaker 4: it out, a lot of people would still be able.
- 21:36Speaker 1: To jug it out.
- 21:38Speaker 3: That'll never happen in America because it's too many guns, right,
- 21:41Speaker 3: So how are they to collect every single gun from
- 21:44Speaker 3: everybody that lives in America. That is the one thing
- 21:48Speaker 3: that actually saves us from a tyrant government because if
- 21:52Speaker 3: need be, that is what the Second Amendment about is about.
- 21:55Speaker 3: See when black people, when they hear people talk about
- 21:57Speaker 3: the Second Amendment, they all automatically think somebody's trying to
- 22:01Speaker 3: kill them. It's white people want their guns to kill them. No,
- 22:04Speaker 3: white people know who they cousins are and what type
- 22:06Speaker 3: of people they dealing with. They have their weapons and
- 22:09Speaker 3: their little small militias to keep safe of a tyrant
- 22:14Speaker 3: government just in case we got to fight the government.
- 22:17Speaker 3: That's really what the Second Amendment is about. And so
- 22:20Speaker 3: that in case like what we had what the last
- 22:23Speaker 3: few years, the shit that we've seen in America, the
- 22:25Speaker 3: shutdowns during COVID, all of these things, like it's ramping
- 22:30Speaker 3: up now.
- 22:31Speaker 4: That was a military police in the city's running around
- 22:36Speaker 4: right now. I mean it looks like that's where we're
- 22:39Speaker 4: at it shit, and.
- 22:41Speaker 1: People think like, oh, this is such a good thing. Listen.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I'm not saying like there shouldn't be mechanisms put in
- 22:45Speaker 3: place to try to combat some of the violence. Absolutely right.
- 22:50Speaker 3: The mayor of Chicago was asking that if y'all going
- 22:54Speaker 3: to deploy military, the National Guard, they can't come here
- 23:00Speaker 3: with masks on their face. And I saw black people saying, well,
- 23:04Speaker 3: niggas on the street got mask on their face. They
- 23:06Speaker 3: got to do something. Y'all are nuts, Okay. The reason
- 23:11Speaker 3: why criminals wear a mask on their face and the
- 23:13Speaker 3: reason why police officers wear a mask on e it's
- 23:18Speaker 3: the same reason, so exactly, because when nobody knows it's you,
- 23:22Speaker 3: people are willing, people are more inclined to do a
- 23:25Speaker 3: lot of dirty shit. You just yeah, so you just
- 23:28Speaker 3: want to release all these people on our people.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Police with shisky's on is crazy? Right? Are y'all not.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Thinking Ice Ice coming through with Shisty's on. I'm like, yo,
- 23:41Speaker 4: America is insane. And then I go to Paris. Paris
- 23:45Speaker 4: is insane, like it's just the Earth, the Earth, zero stars.
- 23:51Speaker 3: No, this ship is about to start all over, and
- 23:53Speaker 3: that's why we've seen all this chaos. Right, we're getting
- 23:56Speaker 3: ready for the New Earth. So this shit gotta die.
- 24:00Speaker 3: And so please get yourself mentally prepared. Whatever you think
- 24:03Speaker 3: you gotta do, man and ship, We're all about the transcending.
- 24:06Speaker 3: If you can't, if you don't transcend, you're gonna be
- 24:08Speaker 3: left behind. Amen, let's talk about hold on before we
- 24:15Speaker 3: before we get off of since dam Dash obviously wants
- 24:21Speaker 3: to fight, because y'all, I don't know if y'all knowing not,
- 24:23Speaker 3: but I'll fight anybody about Charlamagne period in a real way. Okay,
- 24:29Speaker 3: the stoicism that he displayed on this interview with Dame Dash,
- 24:35Speaker 3: and he like didn't strangle this nigga on live TV.
- 24:40Speaker 3: I don't know how he could do it. I am
- 24:42Speaker 3: still a working progress.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not impressed with how he handled that, because yes,
- 24:47Speaker 4: Dane was saying some real disrespectful shit to him.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:51Speaker 4: So Dame Dash or death Dash, as Charlemagne called him,
- 24:57Speaker 4: he did the Breakfast Club in he was interviewed and
- 25:02Speaker 4: he said some real disparaging things to Charlamagne. He called him,
- 25:06Speaker 4: I mean not saying that being called gay is disparaging,
- 25:08Speaker 4: but if you're not, you're not a man that you're not.
- 25:12Speaker 4: You know, he was trying to insinuate that Charlemagne was gay.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Even Charlamagne said I'm not gay. He said, yes, you are.
- 25:19Speaker 4: He said he would fuck Charlamagne up. You know, he
- 25:24Speaker 4: literally said.
- 25:24Speaker 1: That to him. You know, he just was angry. I
- 25:28Speaker 1: don't know why people think Charlamagne pussy.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I don't know why because he's non confrontational, right, well,
- 25:35Speaker 3: I know for a fact Charlomagne would fucked dam dash
- 25:39Speaker 3: ass up.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that's and that's the crazy part. Like he just
- 25:44Speaker 4: practiced is restraight. And then he's mentioned.
- 25:48Speaker 3: That he's fighting for a fifty damn there.
- 25:53Speaker 4: This age and you're still talking about fighting.
- 25:54Speaker 1: It's crazy. Yes.
- 25:57Speaker 3: So he was like, you know, we're just different because
- 26:00Speaker 3: I would get my ass beat by thirty niggas I
- 26:02Speaker 3: ain't running or whatever. And he was like, you ran
- 26:04Speaker 3: when niggas ran up on you at the station. Selling
- 26:06Speaker 3: me was like, you're right, it was four men.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I didn't run.
- 26:09Speaker 3: So I'm at work like and you're trying to get
- 26:10Speaker 3: one up on me for the internet.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Right. You know what I'm saying.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I got a family out of get I gotta get
- 26:15Speaker 3: back to. That's the difference between men and boys. See
- 26:19Speaker 3: Dame dash onely thinks about himself. You have a black
- 26:22Speaker 3: man who gave you a platform to come in front
- 26:24Speaker 3: of your people and tell him why they should fuck
- 26:25Speaker 3: with you. And what you did, you you wasted the
- 26:28Speaker 3: opportunity and you just showed people exactly why you're not
- 26:31Speaker 3: where you want to be. Because you are You're not
- 26:34Speaker 3: fucking humble. And I don't even like the definition of humble. Okay,
- 26:38Speaker 3: but he needs he's somebody who was a humble dam day. Absolutely,
- 26:43Speaker 3: you're not where you are because you self destruct. You
- 26:46Speaker 3: not where you want to be. Yeah, because he self destructs.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Everybody else is the fucking problem. Your children don't fuck
- 26:54Speaker 3: with you. The people you've done business with don't fuck
- 26:57Speaker 3: with you. You know you're in debt. You owe all these
- 26:59Speaker 3: people money. You don't do good business. You're not a
- 27:02Speaker 3: good business man. Right while you sho on somebody who
- 27:05Speaker 3: who had to come up and work underneath someone else, Right,
- 27:08Speaker 3: you're good person. There's that good person. And nigga, your
- 27:14Speaker 3: name is Dash. I mean, excuse me, nigga, your name
- 27:17Speaker 3: is dame. Even Dash Dash sounds sashy as fuck. Your
- 27:21Speaker 3: name is dame, Like that is like a mature woman?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Is what ademe? Like the definition of a deme. I
- 27:31Speaker 1: don't give a damn. It's so damed Dash.
- 27:34Speaker 4: So so you're.
- 27:38Speaker 3: The lady, You're the lady of the race. Damn, Dash
- 27:43Speaker 3: is fucking nuts. Man, Sharla Man, shout out to you.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Brother. She handled that so well.
- 27:48Speaker 4: I don't think I could, Like if somebody came on
- 27:51Speaker 4: we talked back, talking that much shit to me, I
- 27:54Speaker 4: definitely would tell them they got to go. At least
- 27:58Speaker 4: he still let him stay on on the platform and speak.
- 28:03Speaker 4: And that's just impressive to me. Are you if you
- 28:06Speaker 4: don't get the fuck this is my This is my show, bitch?
- 28:09Speaker 1: You know?
- 28:10Speaker 3: So AA is on site and I might go as
- 28:12Speaker 3: far as having somebody hack your IP address so I
- 28:15Speaker 3: can get your home address, because who you talking to.
- 28:19Speaker 1: It's just the level of petty I'm trying to take you.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I feel like a lot of times people never got
- 28:26Speaker 3: their ass work.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That's all he said.
- 28:29Speaker 4: He got his ass by thirty men and then and
- 28:34Speaker 4: you probably had a concussion.
- 28:36Speaker 1: And that's why your mental health is not right. That
- 28:39Speaker 1: he was in a slight kerfuffle. It wasn't no damned
- 28:45Speaker 1: Ashn't you.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Rather know when the fight or flee? You know, fighting
- 28:53Speaker 4: four niggas by yourself? I don't see the point.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Yeah, why right?
- 29:02Speaker 3: That doesn't make you a man. So he was challenging.
- 29:04Speaker 3: He was essentially challenging Charlemagne's masculinity. He just reminded me
- 29:08Speaker 3: of a brat in school who nobody's laughing with you,
- 29:12Speaker 3: Nobody agrees with what you're saying, but you think because
- 29:14Speaker 3: you're talking the loudest that you're winning the argument.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You aren't. You actually looked like an idiot. So there's that.
- 29:22Speaker 3: There's that anyway, And you know, one part which leads
- 29:26Speaker 3: us into today's cussion, into today's discussion Jesus Christ tongue twisting.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Charlemagne said that Dame dash was real materialistic, right like that,
- 29:36Speaker 3: And that's part of the conversation I want to have today.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Do y'all feel black excellence, burnout a little bit or fatigue?
- 29:46Speaker 3: We don't get into what exactly that is and how
- 29:51Speaker 3: can you survive from it. All right, let's talk about it.
- 29:54Speaker 3: We'll be back after the commercial.
- 30:01Speaker 1: All right, y'all.
- 30:02Speaker 3: So today we wanted to chat a little bit about, uh,
- 30:08Speaker 3: you know, black excellence burnout. So y'all know we talk
- 30:12Speaker 3: a lot of mess. When we talked back, we unpack
- 30:15Speaker 3: a lot of stress as well. So today, are we
- 30:20Speaker 3: tired of always having to be great?
- 30:24Speaker 1: Are trying? Always trying to be great? Yes? So a
- 30:31Speaker 1: drop exhaustion of.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Go ahead, I was about to say, always trying to
- 30:36Speaker 4: look it, be good, feel good, show up perfect, be
- 30:40Speaker 4: the best parent, be the best daughter, be the best friend,
- 30:43Speaker 4: be the best sister.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Be the best wife, girlfriend is. And then and that's
- 30:51Speaker 1: why I practice a lot of solitude. I'd be by
- 30:53Speaker 1: my damn self.
- 30:56Speaker 4: And then have to do it ten times better. You
- 30:58Speaker 4: gotta come ten times harder.
- 31:03Speaker 3: The exhaustion, so exhaustion of black excellence or black excellence fatigue,
- 31:09Speaker 3: is the phenomenon of black individuals experiencing extreme mental, emotional,
- 31:15Speaker 3: and physical burnout from the constant pressure to overperform, outshine expectations,
- 31:21Speaker 3: and succeed despite systematic barriers like racism and anti blackness,
- 31:26Speaker 3: and sometimes that act anti blackness come from our own people,
- 31:30Speaker 3: you know.
- 31:32Speaker 1: So it's just it's just super exhausting.
- 31:34Speaker 3: And really, you know, I was listening to I thought
- 31:37Speaker 3: about this topic because I still listened to four for four.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all do.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Jay z album for his last studio album, four for four,
- 31:47Speaker 3: and he has a song on their legacy, Legacy, Legacy,
- 31:50Speaker 3: and part of it he says, it takes my it
- 31:53Speaker 3: takes my hurt and help wait wait, he said, it
- 31:56Speaker 3: takes my hurt and help me find more of myself.
- 31:59Speaker 3: It's a gift and a curse. That's that's called the
- 32:03Speaker 3: red Queen's Race. You run this hard just to stay
- 32:07Speaker 3: in place. Keep up the pace, baby, keep up the pace.
- 32:12Speaker 3: You run this hard just to stay in place. Legacy, Legacy, Legacy.
- 32:16Speaker 3: So the Queen's Race is basically, you do you're doing
- 32:19Speaker 3: all these things right, but you have all of these
- 32:22Speaker 3: mechanisms put in place right, so you you going as hard,
- 32:26Speaker 3: you're being two times better just to.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Stay in the same spot.
- 32:35Speaker 3: But yesterday I had a conversation with my sister and
- 32:39Speaker 3: I was asking her, like, did you really learn anything
- 32:43Speaker 3: from mom and Daddy? Like you did our parents really
- 32:47Speaker 3: teach us anything? Because they I ain't learned nothing from
- 32:51Speaker 3: my parents for real, not like no, no, some like cooking, cleaning,
- 32:57Speaker 3: but like life things. My mama always had an eight
- 33:01Speaker 3: hundred plus credit score. She ain't teach me shit about
- 33:03Speaker 3: credit because she didn't understand it. She just knew you
- 33:05Speaker 3: get money, you buy shit, you pay for it.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:09Speaker 3: So the way that I understand credit and how you
- 33:11Speaker 3: use credit, you know, you leverage credit to build wealth
- 33:15Speaker 3: is just wasn't ever her understanding. So that's something she
- 33:17Speaker 3: could have never ever taught me. But that is something
- 33:20Speaker 3: I can then pass to my kid.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:22Speaker 3: So when I'm asking my sister this, I was like,
- 33:24Speaker 3: you know, mom made sure we had like some someplace
- 33:27Speaker 3: nice to live. We had what we needed, not necessarily
- 33:31Speaker 3: what we wanted. And I think that that's also what
- 33:34Speaker 3: you know, differentiate differentiating my mom's household from a lot
- 33:38Speaker 3: of other people's. Like we lived in a house, but
- 33:41Speaker 3: you you got the ship that you fucking need in
- 33:43Speaker 3: here ain't gonna be all in And we probably had
- 33:45Speaker 3: a little extra the shit you need and a little extra, right,
- 33:48Speaker 3: So she afforded us not to have to live without
- 33:51Speaker 3: lights and shit like that, which a lot of people
- 33:53Speaker 3: didn't grow up like that, right, So I realize now
- 33:56Speaker 3: from talking to my oldest sister that now our generation
- 34:00Speaker 3: got to take it to the next level. It's not
- 34:02Speaker 3: going to all happen within one generation.
- 34:05Speaker 1: They're right.
- 34:07Speaker 3: So you feeling this burnout in this one generation. What
- 34:12Speaker 3: you're doing is just so the next generation because it's
- 34:15Speaker 3: a marathon, so the next generation can take the torch
- 34:18Speaker 3: and keep running. So maybe we are we not doing
- 34:22Speaker 3: enough because you know, older generations might think we're lazy.
- 34:26Speaker 3: The baby boomers might think our generation is actually lazy.
- 34:30Speaker 4: How how can we how?
- 34:38Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 34:39Speaker 3: Because they had like five six kids in the house,
- 34:41Speaker 3: they work two jobs apiece.
- 34:43Speaker 1: They did a lot that we just be like, nah, man,
- 34:46Speaker 1: I need a soft life.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Like we are leaning more towards like less work making
- 34:51Speaker 3: maximum money. Yeah right, we're trying to figure out ways
- 34:55Speaker 3: where we can have a life of leisure versus work,
- 34:58Speaker 3: work work hard, like my house?
- 35:00Speaker 1: What am I?
- 35:02Speaker 4: How sorry to interrupew but with how it is now,
- 35:05Speaker 4: you can't even afford five kids. You can't afford to
- 35:08Speaker 4: feed five kids?
- 35:10Speaker 1: Where did it go? Where?
- 35:11Speaker 3: I mean they really they really couldn't afford to feed
- 35:14Speaker 3: five kids back then? But that is how you build legacy.
- 35:17Speaker 3: That is how you build generational wealth through family and
- 35:20Speaker 3: it and it starts with that big family and then
- 35:23Speaker 3: they branch off and everybody.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Do their thing. But food.
- 35:26Speaker 3: We not even have enough kids or family to even
- 35:31Speaker 3: we're trying to build black We're trying to do black
- 35:33Speaker 3: excellence and build black generation as single people. Yeah, that's
- 35:38Speaker 3: why you feel burnout. You're supposed to have a partner.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I agree that part.
- 35:46Speaker 4: So it's not that they didn't have the money. Follows kids.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Either my grandmother or my my daddy's side had eleven kids.
- 35:52Speaker 4: My mom and my mom's side has seven.
- 35:56Speaker 1: A lot of people.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Your grandma had eleven kids. Yes, they was fucking out
- 36:01Speaker 4: of both pains.
- 36:01Speaker 1: And.
- 36:04Speaker 3: One basically adopted from within the family. She raised somebody
- 36:09Speaker 3: another family member's kid.
- 36:11Speaker 4: Well, just think about how much it costs how much
- 36:13Speaker 4: it costs to feed that many people versus how much
- 36:15Speaker 4: it costs today to feed that many people. I mean,
- 36:20Speaker 4: I always talk to my dad, and my dad would
- 36:22Speaker 4: always say he did a little bit of everything to
- 36:25Speaker 4: help feed his family.
- 36:26Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Because it then starts falling
- 36:28Speaker 3: on the children. That's another part why we can't just
- 36:31Speaker 3: be having a whole bunch of kids, because yeah, you
- 36:33Speaker 3: can't take care of take care of all these children,
- 36:36Speaker 3: and it causes trauma for these people when they become adults.
- 36:43Speaker 1: And these kids don't want to help. These kids today
- 36:46Speaker 1: don't want to help. Hell don't know.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Like we got a black owned restaurant. We got a
- 36:50Speaker 3: family restaurant in Charleston, soul for restaurant, and my cousins
- 36:54Speaker 3: and these are not these are our old accounts.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Cousins.
- 36:56Speaker 3: They like in a sixties now lay fifties sixties. They
- 36:59Speaker 3: are so broke up in there. Everybody got a back
- 37:02Speaker 3: brace on their kids. Do not want to work in there.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I worked in there two days last year and I
- 37:07Speaker 3: had to go to the fucking chiropractor afterwards. Walking on
- 37:11Speaker 3: that concrete hard floor trying not to slip in a
- 37:15Speaker 3: restaurant all day long for two days killed my back.
- 37:18Speaker 3: So imagine I'm now having doing that shit. That restaurant
- 37:21Speaker 3: has been opened basically since I've been alive so forty
- 37:25Speaker 3: years plus, and.
- 37:28Speaker 1: They're like, I see your back, and you want me
- 37:29Speaker 1: to come in here? And when so like my little
- 37:33Speaker 1: cousin's like they figuring out.
- 37:34Speaker 3: I think one of them working there like and she
- 37:36Speaker 3: kind of kind of is the only one keeping things going.
- 37:39Speaker 3: But they don't want to do it. They don't want
- 37:41Speaker 3: to they don't want to work that hard. It's hard work.
- 37:47Speaker 3: So I kind of understand how the older generation. I
- 37:50Speaker 3: know for a fact, like some of the problems that
- 37:52Speaker 3: my mom was having is because I'd be happy even
- 37:56Speaker 3: when shit fucked up. I'm happy and I don't want
- 38:00Speaker 3: to do the most every day. I don't want to
- 38:03Speaker 3: work hard.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that is not like.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Where I find joy and fucking working real hard and
- 38:10Speaker 3: then period once it is like.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Who wants to work? You know, I don't want to work.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I work because I have to. I want to do
- 38:21Speaker 1: this so that like, if I can't have it my way,
- 38:23Speaker 1: I would marry rich, start a.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Some type of charity, build a charity where I give
- 38:31Speaker 4: back to my community and do pilates and then do
- 38:36Speaker 4: my podcast because I enjoy doing this.
- 38:39Speaker 3: But do you see Nourra, you know Nora on social media,
- 38:44Speaker 3: that's real pretty model. Yeah, so she'd be cooking her
- 38:47Speaker 3: food in her family. She's pregnant right now with a
- 38:51Speaker 3: fifth or sixth child. All since twenty twenty, Yes, since
- 38:56Speaker 3: twenty twenty she fucking these babies out, okay, and she
- 39:02Speaker 3: cooks on the internet for a living and then she models.
- 39:06Speaker 3: You know, so you gotta find your niche. If you
- 39:09Speaker 3: don't want to do you don't have to go too
- 39:11Speaker 3: hard in life.
- 39:13Speaker 1: That's what we're gonna do. Hey.
- 39:16Speaker 3: So you know, black women are always saying how we
- 39:19Speaker 3: got like all these degrees, but we also then carry
- 39:21Speaker 3: a lot of debt that we are single in trying
- 39:24Speaker 3: to pay off by ourselves. And this is striving for
- 39:28Speaker 3: black excellence and greatness. A lot of people got degrees
- 39:31Speaker 3: that they're not using. You are not working in the
- 39:35Speaker 3: in the field that you acquired this degree for, right,
- 39:40Speaker 3: But your mama didn't go to college, your daddy didn't
- 39:43Speaker 3: go to college. So now you've become a professional student
- 39:46Speaker 3: with hell of student loans and you working have Horizon.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Oh you could be a manager up there, you know,
- 39:55Speaker 3: because they be busting them checks at Horizon. You know,
- 39:57Speaker 3: you might have you might've hit the little sick figure threshold,
- 40:01Speaker 3: but it's still not enough. So now you got to
- 40:03Speaker 3: do a side hustle, and you got to do social media.
- 40:06Speaker 3: If you're own a business, you got to do social
- 40:08Speaker 3: media too.
- 40:09Speaker 4: You know, like it is content creator. Now you' door
- 40:12Speaker 4: dashing food and you work a full time job and
- 40:15Speaker 4: you a mom.
- 40:16Speaker 3: To keep up with all the things. So the other
- 40:19Speaker 3: part of black excellence is materialism. So this is why
- 40:23Speaker 3: I was talking about Dan Dashing what Charlemagne said to him,
- 40:27Speaker 3: because I know Charlemagne is not a materialistic person. Yeah,
- 40:30Speaker 3: that nigga still got that old ass. Is it an
- 40:34Speaker 3: aviator or a navigator? Like I don't know if it
- 40:37Speaker 3: just keeps him humble or whatever, because he obviously got
- 40:40Speaker 3: other vehicles, right, and maybe he's gotten rid of it,
- 40:43Speaker 3: but I know I've seen that shit in the last
- 40:45Speaker 3: few years, his old ass navigator. Okay, they're still run fine, right,
- 40:55Speaker 3: But you got Damn Dash who I remember. I don't
- 40:57Speaker 3: know who it was talking about him, but how when
- 40:59Speaker 3: Damed was at the height of his career and how
- 41:02Speaker 3: they went to his Manhattan. I think it was Cameron
- 41:06Speaker 3: was saying, like the lavish shit that deemed Dash had
- 41:09Speaker 3: in his home, right, So you were living outside your
- 41:13Speaker 3: means at that time. Yeah, so you're you're talking to
- 41:18Speaker 3: black people.
- 41:18Speaker 4: We are flashy people in general, Like we love nice things,
- 41:22Speaker 4: we like to look good, we like to clean up.
- 41:25Speaker 1: You know.
- 41:26Speaker 4: I mean, I think that's something that's just rooted in
- 41:28Speaker 4: us since before we came over here, if we did
- 41:31Speaker 4: come over here, you know, m hm.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Over this weekend, I was in a restaurant here in Charleston,
- 41:38Speaker 3: and I saw one of the guys came from the
- 41:40Speaker 3: back of the kitchen, because y'all here, and it's probably
- 41:42Speaker 3: in most places, the niggas is always in the kitchen, okay,
- 41:46Speaker 3: and then all the white folks as waiters and greeters
- 41:48Speaker 3: and all that stuff. So this guy came from the
- 41:50Speaker 3: back of the kitchen, and he has so many gold
- 41:53Speaker 3: teeth in his mouth, and I'm like, you working in
- 41:57Speaker 3: the kitchen in a restaurant with gold teeth in your.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Mouths screams insecurity to me, what do you mean?
- 42:04Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Just holding on to that thing.
- 42:07Speaker 3: I think a lot of black people are more insecure
- 42:09Speaker 3: than anything, mh. Right, So you hold onto all this
- 42:12Speaker 3: stuff because you aren't. You're not financially secure. A lot
- 42:17Speaker 3: of black folks, a lot of us are not financially secure, right.
- 42:21Speaker 3: So you pack on the labels and all these things
- 42:24Speaker 3: to make you look like you're wearing you're trying to
- 42:26Speaker 3: wear your money essentially, right, as opposed to just fucking
- 42:30Speaker 3: buckling down and hustling. And you don't don't, don't buy
- 42:32Speaker 3: none of this bullshit. Don't spend twelve hundred dollars on
- 42:35Speaker 3: a bag, right, You could have done something completely different
- 42:38Speaker 3: with that money. But not only you do, you have
- 42:40Speaker 3: to do it to look good for other black people.
- 42:42Speaker 3: You got to make sure everybody on Instagram know you
- 42:44Speaker 3: got this ship too, and you're putting this shit on.
- 42:46Speaker 3: So materialism is also keeping us in a constant state
- 42:50Speaker 3: of having a.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Keep keep up with the jones.
- 42:55Speaker 3: That is a part of black excellence, right, looking looking
- 42:58Speaker 3: like money when you don't have any You don't have
- 43:02Speaker 3: no life insurance, y'all, I'll got life insurance. I ain't
- 43:05Speaker 3: talking about nobody. I just recently, after going to my
- 43:09Speaker 3: friend's funeral, literally yesterday, I'm like, And this is not
- 43:12Speaker 3: because I always think about I need to get life insurance.
- 43:15Speaker 3: I want a whole life insurance policy because I understand
- 43:17Speaker 3: how you can also use that to build wealth. Well, yeah, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 3: I gotta give me a policy before the year out.
- 43:25Speaker 3: But yeah, you don't have life insurance, but you got
- 43:26Speaker 3: this bag. You know, healthcare party lapse, but you got
- 43:31Speaker 3: this bag. Insurance laps got this bag.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Your back tooth need to come out, but you got it. Oag.
- 43:39Speaker 1: You don't have a side tooth, but you got this bag.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Listen, I'll kill somebody excellence side to missing. I'll do
- 43:49Speaker 4: whatever it takes to get that tooth bad. Whatever it
- 43:51Speaker 4: take gets donate blood plasma. I'm selling bags cheese. I'm
- 43:56Speaker 4: not walking around without my tooth.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Black excellence is having a side tooth. I'm set in
- 44:03Speaker 3: the standard today. Okay, nothing else.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Don't forget the side too. Go to the Dennist, y'all.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Go that yellow stuff on the bottom.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Look in the mirror right now. If you got yellow
- 44:16Speaker 1: shit caked up on the bottom of your teeth, go
- 44:20Speaker 1: get that cleaned off. Callus.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Will it make you feel better? But that shit can
- 44:26Speaker 4: also cause health issues. You can die future, yeah, and
- 44:30Speaker 4: it can kill you. Get that shit out your mouth
- 44:33Speaker 4: right now, and it don't cost that much. That makes
- 44:38Speaker 4: me so mad when I see people, beautiful black people
- 44:42Speaker 4: walking around with calcified plaque on their teeth.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Go get that cleaned. You literally can go on groupon.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Because before I didn't have insurance, I would always get
- 44:53Speaker 3: my cleanings off groupon I'll go to a different dentist
- 44:56Speaker 3: every six months. Fifty dollars, sixty dollars. I don't even
- 44:59Speaker 3: know x Ray, I'm good. Just clean my tee, clean
- 45:01Speaker 3: my teeth fifty.
- 45:04Speaker 4: If you're at that place where it's like Calcifi, you
- 45:06Speaker 4: need to get a deep cleaning because they need to
- 45:08Speaker 4: go beneath your gun line at this point, because the
- 45:11Speaker 4: shit living under there to at this point.
- 45:13Speaker 3: So well, while y'all getting care credit for some ass,
- 45:17Speaker 3: get some care credit about them gums. Yeah, and then
- 45:21Speaker 3: stop putting the veneers on top of unhealed gum disease.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Because listen, they'll take your money and do that to you,
- 45:29Speaker 4: but that's not gonna be healthy down the line. And
- 45:33Speaker 4: then once your your gums are all eroded and now
- 45:35Speaker 4: the Veneer's not staying on. Now you got fucking vampire
- 45:39Speaker 4: teeth because they don't file your teeth down the nubs.
- 45:43Speaker 1: That shit just ooh, it pissed me off.
- 45:49Speaker 3: You know, coming from a like a working in a
- 45:52Speaker 3: corporate world, you always almost always end up being the
- 45:56Speaker 3: only black person. A lot of times, I think the
- 45:58Speaker 3: company I used to work for feel like I was
- 46:01Speaker 3: the only person who got laid off because I was young,
- 46:03Speaker 3: black with no kids. Okay, I'm I'm trying to get
- 46:08Speaker 3: in positions to where I can afford some fucking kids,
- 46:11Speaker 3: and y'all fire me because y'all got kids. Basically, everybody
- 46:14Speaker 3: else has more at stake, right if they lose their jobs.
- 46:17Speaker 3: So you just figure I can just go and start
- 46:20Speaker 3: to fuck over someplace else. But I don't think I
- 46:23Speaker 3: ever walk into a place or room. I'm always myself.
- 46:27Speaker 3: I never feel like I don't belong someplace. I never
- 46:29Speaker 3: have what it's the little syndrome. They call it imposter syndrome,
- 46:33Speaker 3: imposter I don't ever have impostership syndrome. I think a
- 46:37Speaker 3: lot of black people also suffer from imposter syndrome. They
- 46:40Speaker 3: don't think that they belong in these spaces. You absolutely do.
- 46:43Speaker 3: That's why you're there, right, So fuck even just a
- 46:46Speaker 3: company have trying to have like diversity. Whatever we put
- 46:50Speaker 3: our minds to, oftentimes we excel, right, And that's why
- 46:54Speaker 3: they always change the game once we learn it, right,
- 46:57Speaker 3: They got a change in because we're gonna take we
- 46:59Speaker 3: gonna we're gonna shoot that ship through the roof every time.
- 47:03Speaker 1: I agree.
- 47:05Speaker 3: But that's that thing about running in place, though, So
- 47:08Speaker 3: we strive to achieve all these things and literally still
- 47:14Speaker 3: running in place. And I think if we are having
- 47:16Speaker 3: like black excellence burnout, it goes back to my initial
- 47:20Speaker 3: point was that you're not gonna achieve all the things
- 47:22Speaker 3: in this for this in this generation, right, so maybe
- 47:27Speaker 3: try doing the least. Let's talk of a let's talk
- 47:29Speaker 3: of an eight hour sleep challenge.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Now that's now you. Now you're talking my language, bitch.
- 47:42Speaker 4: An eight hour sleep challenge sounds good because sometimes, excuse me, y' all,
- 47:48Speaker 4: sometimes you can't get your mind to stop. M Like
- 47:51Speaker 4: you're laying in the bed and all you want to
- 47:54Speaker 4: do is go to sleep, but your mind just keep
- 47:56Speaker 4: thinking about it, I gotta do this, I gotta do that,
- 47:58Speaker 4: or I gotta do this, or what did she say?
- 48:00Speaker 1: Or what time was that?
- 48:01Speaker 4: Or just always something and your mind just don't ever
- 48:05Speaker 4: want to shut down. And sometimes you have to like
- 48:08Speaker 4: even medicate just to go to sleep.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Mhm m.
- 48:14Speaker 3: So it's that's all chronic anxiety, that's all Black striving
- 48:20Speaker 3: for Black excellence will lead you to chronic anxiety. Thinking
- 48:25Speaker 3: that you're not enough, think you gotta do this, thinking
- 48:27Speaker 3: this person is just comparison is the dream killer. For sure,
- 48:30Speaker 3: this person is doing more. You're not doing enough, man.
- 48:34Speaker 4: And nothing all that nothing aided in that more than
- 48:39Speaker 4: social media. Social media will have you comparing yourself to
- 48:44Speaker 4: other people that you should You're the only person that
- 48:47Speaker 4: you should be comparing yourself to is yesterday's version of you.
- 48:52Speaker 1: That's it. That's it.
- 48:55Speaker 3: And like the small wins, you got to celebrate them
- 48:57Speaker 3: small wins every day, right, So like, like I procrastinate
- 49:01Speaker 3: a lot. If I write down a list of five
- 49:04Speaker 3: things and I get two things down on that list, bitch,
- 49:06Speaker 3: I won the day. Out give that when nobody says.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I won the day.
- 49:13Speaker 3: And that's really got how you got to look at it,
- 49:14Speaker 3: because it's not about the instant gratification. It is the
- 49:19Speaker 3: build up to the thing, right as day, small daily
- 49:22Speaker 3: doses of improvement.
- 49:25Speaker 1: That will always get you to the goal.
- 49:27Speaker 3: Right, so you don't have to do all the things
- 49:29Speaker 3: like people like man, everybody you got the same twenty
- 49:31Speaker 3: four I got.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Fuck sleep.
- 49:33Speaker 3: You sleep when you're dead. You're gonna die from lack
- 49:37Speaker 3: of sleep. One thing I'm gonna do is get my
- 49:40Speaker 3: rest And even I don't really get RESTful night's sleep
- 49:44Speaker 3: because again, the brain do be going, but I get
- 49:47Speaker 3: into bed and I rest my body. So even if
- 49:50Speaker 3: I don't actually go to sleep so really late, I'm
- 49:52Speaker 3: comfortable in the evenings, I'm laying the fuck down.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Try it sometimes.
- 49:59Speaker 4: And another thing is the space that you're sleeping in
- 50:02Speaker 4: at the very least, make it cozy, Make it cozy,
- 50:06Speaker 4: Bring clean that shit up, get rid of that clutter
- 50:10Speaker 4: in your space, because nothing is better than sleeping in
- 50:14Speaker 4: some freshly clean sheets in a room that feels like
- 50:17Speaker 4: a sanctuary to you. So whatever it takes to make
- 50:21Speaker 4: your space. You can let the whole house be chaos,
- 50:25Speaker 4: but where you lay your head, make that space a sanctuary.
- 50:31Speaker 3: My problem is I will leave dishes in the sink,
- 50:34Speaker 3: and I'll be laying in that sanctuary, like you think
- 50:37Speaker 3: about that dish that sink.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Yes, clutter.
- 50:41Speaker 3: When you have a lot of clutter in your home,
- 50:42Speaker 3: that is how your mind is. My second room is
- 50:44Speaker 3: full of so much shit, Okay, things I want to
- 50:47Speaker 3: get rid of, and I'm like, i'ma just go in
- 50:49Speaker 3: there and I'm gonna just throw all that shit in
- 50:51Speaker 3: the trash. Fuck it right, And that is how I'm
- 50:55Speaker 3: gonna start a new brain, a new way of thinking.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Because it's like those things are in my way. They're
- 51:00Speaker 3: in my way mentally, not physically in my way because
- 51:03Speaker 3: I can close the door, right, but they're in my
- 51:06Speaker 3: way because they live rent free in my brain. Yeah right,
- 51:10Speaker 3: So I feel like I can't get to the next
- 51:12Speaker 3: thing until I do this thing.
- 51:14Speaker 1: But just chip away at it. Every day. I'm obviously
- 51:17Speaker 1: shitting way today.
- 51:18Speaker 4: I hoard the clothes I closed so bad. And the
- 51:24Speaker 4: only time I really throw away shit is when I'm moving.
- 51:28Speaker 4: And then I'll be like, I ain't order this shit
- 51:29Speaker 4: in sixteen years.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Let me throw it out. Let me get ready to
- 51:31Speaker 1: get tired and just start throwing all that in the trash.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Yeah, but until then, my mind gives me a reason
- 51:37Speaker 4: why I need this skirt from.
- 51:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna lose ten pounds and I'm gonna get back
- 51:41Speaker 3: into this.
- 51:41Speaker 4: I got so many jeans, bitch, I don't wear jeans
- 51:45Speaker 4: because I'm tied in my eye. I'd be so uncomfortable
- 51:47Speaker 4: in jeans, walking around jeans with no stretch. I still
- 51:51Speaker 4: have some Listen, I've been My shit right now is
- 51:55Speaker 4: baggy jeans. And let me tell y'all where to go get.
- 51:57Speaker 4: I know this off topic a little bit. But y'all
- 52:00Speaker 4: go to air Apostle.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they got the good jeens.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Girl, I got me some baggae jeans. Now, you gotta
- 52:09Speaker 4: probably go up two sizes to get them to be
- 52:12Speaker 4: baggy how you want it? American evil too, Yeah, I
- 52:14Speaker 4: was about to say American neighborhood.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Yeah h but yeah, okay, okay.
- 52:21Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but yeah, I think definitely materialism, and in
- 52:29Speaker 3: comparison with social media, is making people strive more and
- 52:33Speaker 3: more for these unrealistic uh goals. And I'm not saying
- 52:37Speaker 3: everybody can't listen. Everybody's told strive to do the best
- 52:41Speaker 3: they can do. But if your best is a house,
- 52:44Speaker 3: a car, and a job and your family, like, that's
- 52:48Speaker 3: your best. And it's okay because guess what. Those people
- 52:51Speaker 3: on the internet, a lot of them are in super
- 52:53Speaker 3: duper debt, which causes restless nights. You know, so it
- 52:58Speaker 3: looks good online, but you really don't know how these
- 53:01Speaker 3: people are living in real life. A lot of these
- 53:03Speaker 3: content creators are living together.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Let's be clear.
- 53:07Speaker 3: They live in the content creator house created in California
- 53:12Speaker 3: and Calabasas, where they're not even paying no damn rent,
- 53:15Speaker 3: and they are selling you a lifestyle.
- 53:17Speaker 1: They really don't have.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Just be careful what you consuming man physically, emotionally.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Mentally, and I all think all the things social media definitely,
- 53:30Speaker 4: what have you thinking? You're not good enough if you allow.
- 53:32Speaker 3: And that you're not doing enough. Yeah, and you are
- 53:35Speaker 3: doing enough. You are doing enough, right.
- 53:38Speaker 1: You know. I'm about to make some macha. That is good.
- 53:41Speaker 3: It's some days I don't got time to eat. At
- 53:44Speaker 3: least I can make me some macha today.
- 53:46Speaker 1: That is a win.
- 53:47Speaker 4: But you gotta prioritize eating, Ashley.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I gotta prioritize eating more protein.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Also, like that's the main thing right A lot of
- 53:57Speaker 3: my I don't begin enough protein.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I really don't like.
- 54:00Speaker 3: What if I should be like super skinny right now, bitch,
- 54:02Speaker 3: because but I don't get enough nutrients right now. I
- 54:07Speaker 3: haven't been for a few months now, and it's just hard.
- 54:10Speaker 3: It's hard to get the meals in right now. I
- 54:12Speaker 3: might need to do me some meal preps on Sunday.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Why don't you do protein shakes?
- 54:16Speaker 3: I do protein bars sometimes, and I do I do
- 54:20Speaker 3: do protein shakes, not consistent enough, especially if I don't
- 54:25Speaker 3: work out. I usually don't drink a protein shake.
- 54:27Speaker 4: And listen, y'all, because people think they're getting enough protein.
- 54:30Speaker 4: You need a grammar protein per pound of your body.
- 54:33Speaker 4: So if you're one hundred and fifty pounds, you need
- 54:36Speaker 4: one hundred and fifty grams of protein.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Every day. We get a fraction of that.
- 54:41Speaker 4: We think we eat some chicken at lunch and a
- 54:43Speaker 4: little tuna at dinner and we've gotten enough protein for
- 54:46Speaker 4: the day.
- 54:46Speaker 1: And it's just a fraction of what you need.
- 54:49Speaker 3: So yep, look, this thing says. Back in the day,
- 54:52Speaker 3: excellence was a Cadillac in the driveway. Now it's a
- 54:55Speaker 3: Tesla and a TikTok of you plugging it in.
- 55:00Speaker 4: Not only do you have to have the Tesla, the
- 55:02Speaker 4: niggas got to see you plug it up, okay, because
- 55:04Speaker 4: if nobody.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Sees you do it, it's not real. You don't have
- 55:07Speaker 1: it for real.
- 55:09Speaker 3: I'm glad. I'm so glad that I am me, and
- 55:12Speaker 3: I don't care about none of that shit. I don't
- 55:14Speaker 3: be trying to impress people in that way. Never did,
- 55:17Speaker 3: never have I make the clothes. The clothes don't make me.
- 55:20Speaker 3: I don't need none of the stuff, you know what
- 55:23Speaker 3: I'm saying. I like experiences. I want to be able
- 55:26Speaker 3: to take all my friends and family on vacation.
- 55:29Speaker 1: That is goals for me. I ain't gonna lie.
- 55:31Speaker 4: I like me some stuff, but I love an experience too.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I'll prioritize the experience over stuff. But if I can
- 55:40Speaker 4: have both simultaneously, I will. I ain't gonna hold.
- 55:42Speaker 1: It, but I am period. But I ain't gonna kill
- 55:49Speaker 1: myself to get it though. That's the thing.
- 55:51Speaker 4: I'm not gonna make myself sick to get it. And
- 55:55Speaker 4: I just think I'll find if I'm finding fashion over
- 55:58Speaker 4: or channel, it don't matter, you know, period.
- 56:05Speaker 3: So to the elders, excellence meant like sacrifice forty years
- 56:10Speaker 3: at one job, minimal vacations, work ethic was their identity essentially,
- 56:18Speaker 3: And you don't rest because you didn't you didn't earn rest.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Like now we be going on vacation, like you need
- 56:23Speaker 1: a vacation.
- 56:24Speaker 3: Even if I never feel like I don't deserve a vacation,
- 56:28Speaker 3: even if I don't work nowhere, I always deserve a vacation.
- 56:32Speaker 3: And it's fucking hard walking around being a human. If
- 56:35Speaker 3: I can go someplace and like just lay down and
- 56:38Speaker 3: I have to think about what I'm gonna eat, what
- 56:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna do just chill, relaxed, like I don't want
- 56:42Speaker 3: to go on vacation with.
- 56:43Speaker 1: People who got an itinerary.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Or I'm just about to say, some people be ruling
- 56:46Speaker 4: a vacation because they want you to stick to this itinerary. Okay,
- 56:51Speaker 4: by six we're gonna get up at six am to
- 56:53Speaker 4: go to an excursion.
- 56:54Speaker 3: On vacation fuck you, I mean vacation after the vacation
- 56:59Speaker 3: with them two much let's just flow.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:03Speaker 3: And so for millennials, we're like the pioneers of burnout
- 57:07Speaker 3: and we ain't with that shit no more. So we
- 57:10Speaker 3: are the first generation of people saying loudly, this is
- 57:14Speaker 3: not sustainable. We do therapy, we do a lot of
- 57:17Speaker 3: self care, and we about the motherfucking soft life. Also, right,
- 57:22Speaker 3: we do do a lot of hustling because I mean,
- 57:25Speaker 3: this life, you just have to have a lot of
- 57:27Speaker 3: different things going on.
- 57:28Speaker 1: To afford to actually breathe.
- 57:30Speaker 3: And it's is just the basic necessities, right, what we
- 57:33Speaker 3: see on social media a lot of times, it's like
- 57:35Speaker 3: the extras, right that everybody also wants. You know, you
- 57:39Speaker 3: don't just want the house, you want the big ass
- 57:42Speaker 3: Mercedes in the driveway. Day one, you got to work
- 57:45Speaker 3: up to those things. And it's not going to happen overnight,
- 57:47Speaker 3: but it could happen in your generation. And then the
- 57:50Speaker 3: gen zs now. I got a problem with gen Z's
- 57:53Speaker 3: a little bit. Gen Zs are our nieces. Okay this,
- 58:02Speaker 3: I got one gen Z niece and I'm not I can't.
- 58:04Speaker 3: I don't know what the next two youngest under her,
- 58:08Speaker 3: what generation they are, but something happened with them gen Zs.
- 58:12Speaker 3: The millennials screw the gen zs up. And see this
- 58:15Speaker 3: is where we got to take into consideration with the
- 58:18Speaker 3: baby boomers. Our elders were saying, right, so now you
- 58:22Speaker 3: you're working super hard, millennial, you're sending your kids to
- 58:26Speaker 3: prom looking like they come from a home with two
- 58:30Speaker 3: parents who are fucking doctors and lawyers and attorneys, right,
- 58:35Speaker 3: everybody just looking like money, pulling up in a maserati
- 58:38Speaker 3: and all this stuff. And now they're spoiled and they're slow.
- 58:43Speaker 3: They don't have any life skills, right, they don't know
- 58:46Speaker 3: their password to their damn email, but they have sex,
- 58:51Speaker 3: and they just being just.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Slow and retarded. I remember one.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Day, I love you so much, niece. If you're listening,
- 59:00Speaker 3: I remember one day this girl came from outside. Right,
- 59:04Speaker 3: she had already been out the house that day.
- 59:06Speaker 1: I hadn't been.
- 59:08Speaker 3: She came in my room and said, what's the temperate job?
- 59:12Speaker 3: So I had to feel outside to day? I said,
- 59:14Speaker 3: weren't you out there? Weren't you out there? I haven't
- 59:18Speaker 3: been outside? Why are you don't remember what it felt like?
- 59:21Speaker 1: I gotta guide you to that too, right? And then
- 59:25Speaker 1: you have Google on your phone?
- 59:27Speaker 4: Right?
- 59:28Speaker 1: Yes, Google it? Did you see that.
- 59:30Speaker 4: Video of the dad gave his son the end of
- 59:33Speaker 4: the measuring tape and then he started to dare and
- 59:35Speaker 4: walked with him and he followed him.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Baby.
- 59:39Speaker 4: I was like, and that's really a clear depiction of
- 59:45Speaker 4: what's going on with our gen zers, and it's our
- 59:49Speaker 4: fall because I just think that we wanted to give
- 59:51Speaker 4: them a soft life, a life that we didn't have
- 59:56Speaker 4: growing up, and in that we have weaken them.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: They Okay, So the thing is that they're a little
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: They have a lot of strengths that we don't have, right,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: because I feel like they are more of the freelancers,
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: They are more a little bit more entrepreneurial. Yes, they
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: the social media shit, They're gonna take that to the max.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: So they may have to do the least. I got
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: a couple homegirls who daughters are like the social media girlies,
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. They got there two hundred
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: thousand followers and stuff like that, like just making lifestyle content, right,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: and they've been living on their own since they was
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: eighteen doing this shit right, you know, buying houses. So
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: it's it's just just different, right, So I don't think
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: that's lazy, though our our parents would call that lazy
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: because they're not working for someone else. Guess stupid period,
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: as long as they get money. So this actually says, uh,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: gen Z's they boldly. They're boldly rejecting grind culture. They're
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: choosing joy, They're freelancing, and uh have unapologetic boundaries. Okay,
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: they really about themselves. They are kind of selfish. I'll
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: say that gen Z kids are kind of selfish and
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: there no looks like rebellion, but it's really liberation. No,
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: it's a complete statement, all right. My mom calls me
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: selfish because I know how to tell people. No, I
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: just I'm not just I'm not into doing things I
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: don't feel like doing anymore. I have over extended myself
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: a lot in life and so now, yeah, I had
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: to learn that Noah was a complete sentence. I had
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: to start talking myself because you'll overextend yourself to people
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: and there's no reward for it.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: There's no extreme thank you. You just burnt in the
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: name of other people.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Right, So this says Grandma worked forty years straight with
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: one vacation to Atlantic City.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Meanwhile gen Z wants.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: What a sabbatical? Sabbatical after a stressful zoom call, like
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: you want to quit?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Yes, for sure?
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: And then the boomers take self care is like a
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: self care is like a bubble bath, while gen Z
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: thinks it's quitting your job and moving to Costa Rica.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like that as a millennial. Great,
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: fuck these jobs. Let me tell y'all, these people will
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: replace you. You gonna go so hard for this corporation,
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: climb this corporate ladder for them to either fire you
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: one or you die, and then they replace you the
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: next year. The next day they'll have somebody else you
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: in place. So I am more loyal to the people
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I have to work with. I'm never loyal to a
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: company because they are not loyal to your ass whatsoever.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Oughts in prayers thoughts and prayers.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Absolutely, so, yeah, I don't know. I think our generation
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: we definitely rest in a little bit more. We're trying
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: to figure out ways in which we can actually enjoy living,
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: not having to work forty years and die.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: It was an old white on a boat in Pair,
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: Italy or something like that, and they was like sleep.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: There was riding the.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: I think it was in Paris to see in and
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: they would sleep on the boat and they was like,
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: don't wait this long to enjoy life.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Enjoy it now.
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: You can't even you know, you're not walking as well,
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: you can't stay awake, you're not even really getting experienced
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: because you've worked for years, so you could go do this, no,
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: do that shit now doing now? Fuck them bills. I
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: think that's what millennials are also good at. We're good
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: at fuck them bills. Is people staying live though, That's
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: what I wouldn't know. Somebody need to talk on I'm
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: still alive. I don't know the bills. I don't know, man,
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: I don't know how we're doing it.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: And you know, I always argue with the boomers, right,
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: y'all ain't have the y'all don't have our bills. No,
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: even if you have a home right now, you're still
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: not paying We paying for a new house. Okay, So
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: shot the fuck up talking to us about working hard.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: We are barely living. They are like lottery ticket.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: We I don't know how we're doing it, but we
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: make it look good, yeal media, We make it look
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: real good. But take care of y'allself.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Yes, please take care of yourself. Take care of y'allself.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Listen, man, I I'm about to I'm about to get
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: heavy back on my uh my option trading. That is
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: the highest paying job in the world, y'all is to
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: learn the fucking stock market. So you got to get
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: into that, man, So you don't have to work multiple jobs.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: Plus have an Amazon storefront, plus have a TikTok plus
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: plus plus plus plus. But that's really what AI is
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: taking us though. It's taking us like computers and robots
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: are going to take over.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: So you are the product.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: You have to find a way to sell yourself to
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: the masses to make money in the near future because
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: these jobs, a lot of them, are coming to an end. Banking, financial,
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: all that shit is changing. So we might need to
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: get with the gen z's not even their generation. I
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: feel like my niece don't know shit about no computer.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: What is the generation under gen Z?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Who's that? They?
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: Like?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Early twenties right now? Oh? Is a generation gen Z?
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Is it?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Not? Its gen Z?
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: Like the last generation that's living. There's babies, they're not
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: gen Z. Still, No, the generations don't last that long,
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: do they. Let's look at it right quick?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Forty years? Oh, let's see. Okay, So.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: So generation beta, Oh, beginning twenty twenty five is generation Beta?
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: Generation Alpha is born twenty thirteen to twenty fourteen. Gen
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Z is nineteen ninety seven to twenty twelve. Then millennials
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: nineteen eighty one to nineteen ninety six. Two years, yeah, no, thirteen,
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: twenty thirteen to twenty twenty four Oh okay, yeah, and
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: then this current generation is the beta?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Is that starting? Like? What does that mean? Beta?
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: It's like a new beginning. So when we talk about
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: a new earth, beta is like testing, right, So think
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: about COVID and all the things that they did, these injections,
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: all this shit. What why are these babies called betas? Interesting?
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: The beta generation? The betas they tested a new world
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: order on the ass exactly.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: That's when that's exactly where I'm going at Anyway, y'all
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: challenge eight hours of sleep? Piccka day, picka day, every day.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Everybody can't get it every single day.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: Let's we can for a challenge for a whole week,
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: whole week eight hour I just think that's not feasible
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: for a lot of people because a lot of people
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: are working two jobs doing a bunch of different things.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: So and we can do two days out the week.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: Can y'all get sixteen? Can y'all get eight hours.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Two days this week? Right?
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: I'm gonna try hit us, Yeah, hit us up if
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: you were able to achieve a real RESTful like you
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: go to sleep at eight at ten o'clock by ten,
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: we want to sleep at ten o'clock and we waking
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: up at six.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: That's the millionaire's time, Okay, millionaires be up by five
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: five thirty. You really about this?
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: Black gets you a bottle of Saratoga water. I guess
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: it's stick your face in it. If I buy that
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: expensive ass water, I'm drinking it. I ain't put my
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: face in it.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: I buy that water all the time I shop at
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: restaurant depot. So it's twenty dollars for the glass bottles for.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Twelve of them. Yeah, that's a lot for water, is it?
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Twenty dollars for twelve?
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: They bought it twelve bottles of aquafita for five dollars.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: You're you goddamn liver and kidney gonna be so full
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: of bullshit and hard metals. Y'all may get them glass
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: bottles and stop drinking out that plastic.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: We all going up out of here some way. God
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: damn it? All right, what's your last last that was? It? Gets? Sorry?
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: Don't mind protect your piece by setting boundaries, resting when needed,
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: getting made hours you can, but if you can't get
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: it when you need it, baby, and refueling what truly
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: restores you?
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Because black black excellence is absolutely beautiful, but it should
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: never feel like punishment.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: And you know who you are listening to the sound
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: of my voice. Go get your teeth clean right now,
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Go make the appointment.

- 1:09:05Speaker 1: What that heart look like right? What that living looking like?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: When last year you had a full body scan, check
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: your your vitamin D levels and all your Oh that's
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: another challenge.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Man your prostate. I really want to get this guy on. Andre.
