- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, look, how let's go look it really
- 0:05Speaker 1: looks great. Dude, you lost forty pounds in your head.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I wish I lost. Do you notice how I mean?
- 0:15Speaker 1: You're you. You don't because you look in the mirror
- 0:17Speaker 1: every day. But to those of us who don't see
- 0:19Speaker 1: you every week, you lost a lot of weight in
- 0:21Speaker 1: your face. I lost a lot of weight in my body.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It looks like two I dropped fifteen pounds. Uh, just changing,
- 0:30Speaker 1: not necessarily changing. I changed how I ate, Yes, but
- 0:34Speaker 1: I was losing weight before that, strictly from quitting the
- 0:38Speaker 1: weed and the booze. Yeah. Well, I'm finding that for
- 0:42Speaker 1: those of you curious, if you want to expedite your
- 0:45Speaker 1: your your your fitness, um, giving up animals and alcohol
- 0:51Speaker 1: is definitely a a expedites things. Well yeah, well, giving
- 0:57Speaker 1: up the weed, it's really really did the trick, you
- 1:00Speaker 1: know what I mean? Not only that freaking we are
- 1:06Speaker 1: THHC is stored in your fat cells, and so it
- 1:11Speaker 1: takes a long time to get out of your body,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and when your body is detoxing from it. A lot
- 1:15Speaker 1: of people think, oh, I could smoke weed. You smoke
- 1:17Speaker 1: weed like me and Snoop Dog, and then try to quit.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You're gonna go. You're gonna have some withdrawl. Yeah, And
- 1:24Speaker 1: I had with drawls like Night's Sweats and stuff like that.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you something right now. Night Sweat
- 1:30Speaker 1: to kind of help with the losing of the weight,
- 1:34Speaker 1: but we don't endorse that as a means of trying
- 1:36Speaker 1: to lose weight. I think alcohols giving up alcohol, not
- 1:40Speaker 1: just the empty calories, but also what happens. You get
- 1:43Speaker 1: buzzed and you're like, oh fuck it, let's order cheeseburgers,
- 1:45Speaker 1: you know, right right? Well, yeah, that that helped too.
- 1:48Speaker 1: How are you? I miss you. I'm glad that I
- 1:50Speaker 1: see you back in your closet. I'm back in the closet.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It's good to see you. Guys. Hey, I want to
- 1:55Speaker 1: say something, not to toot my own horn, but Daniel
- 1:58Speaker 1: please insert a tooting horn. No, he's here. The film
- 2:01Speaker 1: that I made with Christopher Walkin is currently number four
- 2:04Speaker 1: on iTunes. Amazing congratulation. That's awesome. That's called Percy Verse
- 2:10Speaker 1: Goliath and um please watch it. If you're listening and
- 2:13Speaker 1: you can hear my voice, I would love for you
- 2:15Speaker 1: to check it out. I have a I have a
- 2:17Speaker 1: I have a supporting part of relatively small part. I
- 2:19Speaker 1: play his lawyer. It's a true story about a farmer
- 2:22Speaker 1: who took on Monsanto in Canada, and it is the
- 2:25Speaker 1: ultimate David and Goliath story. This man had the most
- 2:28Speaker 1: insane courage. And um, Christopher Walkin is Christopher Walkin for
- 2:32Speaker 1: God's sakes, and Christina Ricci's in it. And you know,
- 2:35Speaker 1: we made this movie for ten dollars and it has
- 2:37Speaker 1: no marketing budget. And I just thought, Oh, this, no
- 2:39Speaker 1: one's ever going to see this. And then I looked today.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I looked this morning. He was number four on iTunes.
- 2:43Speaker 1: That's amazing, dude, that is absolutely awesome. Gunderus applause, Dan, Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I got this one, danel Eric I have the first
- 2:55Speaker 1: time I'm to give myself of thunders. Applause. Yes, Donald,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I have your key turners, so when we say turn
- 3:01Speaker 1: your key, we can do all of that. And apparently
- 3:04Speaker 1: it's set up so that it can actually like Daniel,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you'll have to be the one to do it, but
- 3:11Speaker 1: it's set up to where you could plug something into
- 3:14Speaker 1: it and it actually functions as a mechanism. So that's awesome.
- 3:20Speaker 1: That is that fellow who made those coming on the show.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I believe he's our guest today. Oh, we can ask
- 3:27Speaker 1: him how to do it? Yeah? What else is going on?
- 3:31Speaker 1: I watched a really great movie. I gotta say something, Ready,
- 3:34Speaker 1: go for it. You know who's almost underrated actors in Hollywood?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Donald Fazon? I agree, I agree, I agree. I'm talking
- 3:43Speaker 1: about he needs more work. I'm telling you what I'm
- 3:45Speaker 1: talking about. Yes, if you're listening and you need an
- 3:48Speaker 1: actor called Donald, who's the most underrated actor? No, I'm
- 3:53Speaker 1: not the most, but a very underrated, amazing actress who
- 3:58Speaker 1: I watched in a film that was dry up jaw
- 4:00Speaker 1: good last night is Molly Shannon. Now you might know
- 4:05Speaker 1: Molly Shannon as genius comedian from SNL and from all
- 4:08Speaker 1: the movies she's been in, but recently she's been doing
- 4:10Speaker 1: some dramatic work and holy shit, you have to see
- 4:13Speaker 1: this movie called Other People. I'm I'm I'm I'm giving
- 4:16Speaker 1: it ten out of ten stars. It was incredible. And
- 4:21Speaker 1: I mean, my brother, why, my brother's in town and
- 4:22Speaker 1: he goes, I can't believe she didn't get nominated for this,
- 4:24Speaker 1: And I had the same thought, Um, she is so
- 4:28Speaker 1: fucking talented, that woman. I mean, we knew I knew
- 4:31Speaker 1: her to be a comedic genius, but she brings the
- 4:33Speaker 1: drama chops too. I feel like the Oscars this year
- 4:36Speaker 1: was a little weird. I just to put it out there,
- 4:40Speaker 1: you know. I thought Chadwick Boseman was a shoe in
- 4:43Speaker 1: to win so today. That's why they put it last.
- 4:47Speaker 1: That was so weird. I don't know, just weird. I don't.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I don't. I don't get it. I don't. I don't
- 4:53Speaker 1: know what happened. I do have to say, I do
- 4:54Speaker 1: have to say that that Anthony Hopkins performance in The
- 4:57Speaker 1: Father is one of the most amazing performances of every
- 5:01Speaker 1: similar series. Sir, well it is, sir Anthony hopp Did
- 5:03Speaker 1: you see it? Did you guys see it? I did
- 5:05Speaker 1: not see it. I was sure. I was sure Chadwick
- 5:08Speaker 1: was gonna win, like like everyone, including the producers of
- 5:11Speaker 1: the show, even to my friends that day. I was like,
- 5:13Speaker 1: Chadwick's gonna win for obvious reasons and because he's an
- 5:17Speaker 1: extraordinary actor, and people are so heartbroken by what happened.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But I said to myself, but and it's a close race,
- 5:25Speaker 1: because that Anthony Hoppikin's performance was holy shit. I can't
- 5:28Speaker 1: believe it was a masterclass in acting. And then I
- 5:31Speaker 1: was genuinely surprised like everybody when he won. But do
- 5:34Speaker 1: see the movie because the movie absolutely don't. Don't if
- 5:38Speaker 1: you're gonna, if you're gonna complain about it, like I am,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I have to watch every movie before I can say,
- 5:44Speaker 1: like I thought, Chadwick was a shoe wind to win
- 5:46Speaker 1: because of his body of work. You know what he's
- 5:49Speaker 1: meant to the entertainment industry since he since he's come through. Yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: and you know, and he passed away, and I was
- 5:58Speaker 1: hoping that, you know, like other actors who have passed
- 6:02Speaker 1: away in the past, UH would have there. He that's
- 6:06Speaker 1: a perfect example, would get me. You know what. It
- 6:09Speaker 1: might not be the best performance of his career, but
- 6:13Speaker 1: we're not going to get an opportunity to see anymore.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So let's give him. Let's give him. I think so
- 6:18Speaker 1: many people thought that Tom. I mean, they literally restructured
- 6:21Speaker 1: the show so that it would end with this beautiful moment.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I'm sure his his widow, um speaking as she has
- 6:28Speaker 1: done so eloquently before. Um. So it was shocking to everybody. Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 1: But that being said, let's talk about the television show Scrub,
- 6:37Speaker 1: shall we about show we made about nurses? Said, he's
- 6:48Speaker 1: a story. Yeada around here, YadA around here. That day,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I had my brother and my friend Preston in town
- 7:04Speaker 1: and I said, Hey, I got to watch the show
- 7:06Speaker 1: for the podcast. Do you want to watch with me?
- 7:09Speaker 1: And um They had lots of jazz cabbage and I UM.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I was like a little bit nervous because I was like, Oh,
- 7:15Speaker 1: what if it's a one that's not that funny. They
- 7:18Speaker 1: were fucking hysterically laughing at this episode. I was not smoking,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but hysterically laughing in this episode. It's a really funny one.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It has some great moments in it. I mean, I mean,
- 7:28Speaker 1: let's I mean, one of the funniest moments in Scrub's
- 7:30Speaker 1: history is you naked in the fetal position on the ground.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I even think it's funny. When I'm on the ground,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you could see me breaking as we're saying. As I'm saying,
- 7:39Speaker 1: you are yeah, I'm smiling. I'm smiling. I have a
- 7:43Speaker 1: smile on my face. Your penis was well hidden. You
- 7:46Speaker 1: must have because your penis isn't one you can just
- 7:48Speaker 1: tuck under. You really have to sort of strap it
- 7:50Speaker 1: down like like like like a leg holster. You have
- 7:55Speaker 1: a leg holster. You have my cheat sheet for where
- 8:01Speaker 1: you are? This is a guess. No, that's not it.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You honor me there it is. No. So, did you
- 8:10Speaker 1: have sort of a well I think in the firearm
- 8:13Speaker 1: industry they call a leg holster to contain your shaft. No,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I I wear compression shorts, though I see to keep
- 8:20Speaker 1: it in. No, but you're naked in this particular shot.
- 8:23Speaker 1: We're talking. No, no, no, I have one compression shorts
- 8:25Speaker 1: and I have one box. Oh I zoned out. I
- 8:29Speaker 1: just pictured you naked. You were just looking for huh. Well,
- 8:33Speaker 1: I don't want it. But it's nice to observe a
- 8:36Speaker 1: grothy shaft. Its natural habitat you anyway, I'll stop there. Hey, um,
- 8:49Speaker 1: so wait, Carlin, I forgot the Carlin took really break
- 8:53Speaker 1: up and like could be on the verge of ending
- 8:56Speaker 1: their relationship. I forgot all of this, to be honest
- 8:59Speaker 1: with you, And when Shay was talking about it, I
- 9:02Speaker 1: was like, I don't remember that. And then the scene
- 9:04Speaker 1: pops up where they're sitting by the grave at the
- 9:07Speaker 1: end of the show, and you know, spoiler alert, they
- 9:11Speaker 1: don't get back together at the end of this episode
- 9:13Speaker 1: either man, like, they're still kind of fucked up. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: really didn't remember that that that obviously it was wise
- 9:20Speaker 1: as a showrunner to create drama and so the audience
- 9:23Speaker 1: is concerned. But I didn't remember it at all that
- 9:26Speaker 1: you guys are literally like living in separate houses and
- 9:28Speaker 1: talking about not getting back together. Has there ever been
- 9:31Speaker 1: a show where the main characters are on the show
- 9:33Speaker 1: or the loved the characters who are in love with
- 9:36Speaker 1: each other get divorced. Oh, I'm sure, like they threatened
- 9:41Speaker 1: it on Blackish, but it didn't happen. Like, is there
- 9:45Speaker 1: a show where it starts off where everything's, you know, awesome,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and then four seasons in they're like, let's get divorced.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I don't know, Joel, are you looking that up? Oh yeah,
- 9:57Speaker 1: I think Um and Willing. Great Grace gets divorced. Yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 1: but Grace isn't married to Will. That's you know what
- 10:04Speaker 1: I mean? Grace is married? Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Like they I don't think it happens. I don't think
- 10:10Speaker 1: it's ever happened. I don't know. But William of Van
- 10:13Speaker 1: Duser Lawrence clearly wanted to create some season four drama.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But oh, we're going so fast. This is Hey, you'll
- 10:17Speaker 1: love this. It's four twenty. This is episode four twenty. Right,
- 10:21Speaker 1: we're going so fast. Yeah, I mean even now, even
- 10:25Speaker 1: though we slowed down to one a week, it feels
- 10:27Speaker 1: like this is flying by. We really got to get
- 10:29Speaker 1: our almost halfway there. Yeah, we gotta get our post
- 10:32Speaker 1: scrubs plans in order. Um, we do need to get
- 10:36Speaker 1: that in order. How's your water drinking coming? I see
- 10:39Speaker 1: you sipping. Yeah, I'm supposed to. Now. I moved on
- 10:41Speaker 1: to a gallon a day. Um you were You were
- 10:44Speaker 1: not at a gallon a day? No, I was at
- 10:47Speaker 1: This thing that I drink out of is two gallons,
- 10:49Speaker 1: and um, that's two gallons right there. Sorry I misspoke.
- 10:52Speaker 1: This thing right here is two leaders. Um. So um,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I have I have this scene where I'm where I'm shirtless,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and I'd like to look my best, right, because if
- 11:03Speaker 1: you're going to broadcast yourself to Earth, you want to
- 11:06Speaker 1: look your best. Hold On one second, man, you've been
- 11:09Speaker 1: drinking only two leaders a day. I went straight full
- 11:12Speaker 1: gallon a day from the gate, and I was pissing
- 11:15Speaker 1: like a race. The problem is that you pissing becomes
- 11:18Speaker 1: sort of a very large part of your day, right,
- 11:21Speaker 1: Like I have to I gotta plan. Yeah, you gotta
- 11:23Speaker 1: when I'm drinking, you gotta plan. When you gotta drive somewhere,
- 11:26Speaker 1: you gotta plan. Like, good thing, I'm not going to
- 11:28Speaker 1: the movie theater because you couldn't go to the movie theater.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You're not watching a movie. You're not watching the movie.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You're spending most of your time in the bathroom looking
- 11:36Speaker 1: at you know, I'm not going to be doing a
- 11:37Speaker 1: gallon a day when I'm not gearing up to me.
- 11:40Speaker 1: But that's so healthy for you are not well. Two
- 11:42Speaker 1: leaders is one thing? A gallon is like, is I
- 11:44Speaker 1: think I think I could shift one step back a gallon? Yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I feel great, So for what it's worth, it feel great.
- 11:49Speaker 1: But maybe my bladder will like expand or that's what
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm thinking. Like, the thing is you have to spread
- 11:54Speaker 1: it out with the keep chugging or whatever the message is,
- 11:59Speaker 1: because when you do it that way, you pee once
- 12:02Speaker 1: and then you pee again later when you drink, Like
- 12:04Speaker 1: I've made the mistake of being like, oh man, I
- 12:07Speaker 1: didn't make it to the end, and then drinking like
- 12:10Speaker 1: a half a gallon of water and then going to
- 12:12Speaker 1: bed and then getting up at one. I find if
- 12:15Speaker 1: I put a little lemon in it, um, it makes
- 12:17Speaker 1: it way more appealing because lemon water is delicious, Like,
- 12:21Speaker 1: who doesn't like that? But just plain water is Uh,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I've gotten used to it. I've gotten used to plain water. Really. Yeah, Now, Joel,
- 12:28Speaker 1: we had talked about at every time I post about
- 12:30Speaker 1: this water bottle that with the inspirational things on it,
- 12:33Speaker 1: fans are always in my Instagram like where the hell
- 12:35Speaker 1: do you get that? And then of course I thought
- 12:37Speaker 1: we should make since Donald and I both use this
- 12:39Speaker 1: a fake doctor's real friends, one that can have the
- 12:42Speaker 1: times on it, and like you are deservant and eagle
- 12:46Speaker 1: Eagle will be the last one you made an eagle.
- 12:48Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about right right that we're working
- 12:53Speaker 1: on it. We are trying to figure out the best
- 12:55Speaker 1: way to do it, but I think it's a great idea. Well,
- 12:57Speaker 1: keep them keep the world hydrated. That's yeah, one bottle
- 13:00Speaker 1: at a time. That's If there's one thing everybody listening
- 13:04Speaker 1: has always heard from doctors or healthy people is that
- 13:07Speaker 1: you gotta drink a lot of water. I've never done it.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I've been so bad at it my whole life, and um, this.
- 13:13Speaker 1: This bottle at least helps you because you're staring at
- 13:15Speaker 1: it and you're like, come on, I don't want to fail.
- 13:16Speaker 1: It's three pm. I'm not at the three pm line.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Come on making competitive? Did you laugh at? You know, well,
- 13:23Speaker 1: how would you feel if your husband was on the
- 13:26Speaker 1: phone talking to some other woman? I pretty feel pretty bad, yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but mostly because I have a husband. Did you laugh at?
- 13:37Speaker 1: I laughed a lot of stuff. Now, what about when
- 13:39Speaker 1: you go don't mention the carnival? And I'm like, funny
- 13:42Speaker 1: because it reminds me of Carla. Remove the NIVE and
- 13:46Speaker 1: switch the L and the A and then you see
- 13:50Speaker 1: j D like like like fuck with the letters on
- 13:52Speaker 1: the screen. That was so funny. But then we still
- 13:55Speaker 1: went to the carnival. I know, I just laughed at
- 13:58Speaker 1: remove the NIV like Turke had already. Turke had already
- 14:03Speaker 1: done the breakdown of the word to figure out how
- 14:06Speaker 1: to turn Carnival into Carlo. You know, I knew Elliott
- 14:09Speaker 1: was a nervous poor but I didn't know she was
- 14:11Speaker 1: that much of a nervously. I don't like this either.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I do not want to talk to anyone. I've mentioned
- 14:17Speaker 1: this before. I don't like talking. No, if I'm in
- 14:20Speaker 1: a public stall and someone else's pooing, I can't pooh? Oh?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Can you can? You? Can you sit down in a
- 14:28Speaker 1: public bathroom? Finished? Let me finish with with with what
- 14:32Speaker 1: are the three quarters of an inch of metal between
- 14:35Speaker 1: you and and the other person's Like we had this conversation, dude,
- 14:41Speaker 1: all right, well some people haven't heard every episode. Can
- 14:43Speaker 1: you do that I can't do? Now? Listen to me, man,
- 14:45Speaker 1: I'm the man that we could be online at the
- 14:49Speaker 1: movie theater to see you go home to pooh? I
- 14:51Speaker 1: forgot Yeah, I will go home and pooh. And it
- 14:54Speaker 1: all stems from when I was doing this commercial and
- 14:57Speaker 1: this dude's dad was in the bathroom and was going,
- 15:00Speaker 1: oh god, why when someone screamed the corn? Oh god,
- 15:12Speaker 1: have you ever screamed why while having a bomb movement?
- 15:15Speaker 1: That's not good? Oh no? Why? No? Yeah? Listening and
- 15:20Speaker 1: it and listen, I have and a curly or a
- 15:23Speaker 1: letter jay as long as it's a dude, I haven't.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I was so dehydrated that it was like that thing
- 15:30Speaker 1: was stuck at the exit. Okay, you can stop there, Joe,
- 15:37Speaker 1: but wait, I want to say one more thing. So
- 15:39Speaker 1: what I do if I have to do the public bathroom,
- 15:41Speaker 1: is I first and it's and it's multiple stalls. I
- 15:43Speaker 1: have to do the duck to see if there's other feet.
- 15:45Speaker 1: If there's you get close to the floor. You get
- 15:47Speaker 1: close to the floor like that. Huh. I don't lie down.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I bend over see if there's other feet. If there's
- 15:52Speaker 1: anyone else, I'm out. I gotta wait. Okay. So if
- 15:54Speaker 1: you've got in the bathroom and if you got to
- 15:56Speaker 1: pool real bad, that's a wrap. You're just gonna just
- 15:58Speaker 1: shit yourself. What do you do? I find another bathroom
- 16:02Speaker 1: in that building? Or I um, if you at the
- 16:05Speaker 1: movie theater, what are you gonna do. I've never pooted
- 16:07Speaker 1: a movie theater, Okay, I'm talking about like you know,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you haven't pooded at a restaurant. I don't think I've
- 16:16Speaker 1: pooded a restaurant. Mostly it's on these examples. I mean,
- 16:19Speaker 1: like I'm let's say I'm working, I'm editing a show
- 16:21Speaker 1: and I'm in some big post production facility and here
- 16:24Speaker 1: I Warner Brothers, or you're at Yea or like you know,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know, when we're on movies, you have a you
- 16:28Speaker 1: have a trailer, you at least have a trailer with
- 16:30Speaker 1: your own with your own toilet. But I don't know
- 16:33Speaker 1: any any of I don't think I've ever pooted a
- 16:36Speaker 1: at a restaurant. Although on my birthday I had a birthday.
- 16:40Speaker 1: My do you remember this? Were you there? What fortyths birthday?
- 16:46Speaker 1: I no, I wasn't at your four. I was at
- 16:48Speaker 1: your forty first nobody was at your forty at the birthday. Yeah,
- 16:50Speaker 1: they had it. This is what happened. You came, you
- 16:53Speaker 1: got sick. So I arranged to have twenty twenty five
- 16:56Speaker 1: people at a dinner at a very fancy restaurant cat
- 16:59Speaker 1: in New York, in New York, and I, um, I
- 17:03Speaker 1: don't know if you ever gotten food poisoning or listener
- 17:06Speaker 1: or YouTube, but what all of a sudden I was
- 17:08Speaker 1: as I was, I was got like all dressed up
- 17:11Speaker 1: people had flown in. It was going to be a
- 17:12Speaker 1: big It's my fortieth birthday. Was a big deal. And
- 17:15Speaker 1: as I'm sitting out the name cards on the table,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I started to feel that rumble, you know that rumble
- 17:20Speaker 1: where you're like, oh no, And I didn't have any boot,
- 17:22Speaker 1: I didn't have any booze in me or anything. It
- 17:24Speaker 1: was just something. I'm sitting out the fucking name cards
- 17:28Speaker 1: around the table, like making sure the seating arrangement is right.
- 17:31Speaker 1: You probably had Debars's Rhythm of the Night in your head.
- 17:34Speaker 1: To the beat to the Rhythm of the night. Yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 1: it's my birthday night. I had popping myself and then
- 17:41Speaker 1: I was like and then I'm like, oh no, So
- 17:45Speaker 1: then I run. I start to feel I'm in a puke.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I guess haven't even arrived yet. And this is a
- 17:50Speaker 1: fancy restaurant in New York and meatpacking District called Catch
- 17:53Speaker 1: and and I go. Now, I run into the bathroom.
- 17:57Speaker 1: In the bathroom because it's a party place, hasn't attendant.
- 18:00Speaker 1: That's to make sure that people don't I guess, do
- 18:03Speaker 1: drugs or have sex or whatever it's meant to the
- 18:07Speaker 1: attendant in a bathroom, I assume is meant people think, oh,
- 18:09Speaker 1: it's a fancy place. The guy's gonna give me a
- 18:11Speaker 1: mint and hand me paper towels. But and I gotta
- 18:13Speaker 1: give him a dollar. Yeah. I think he's really there
- 18:15Speaker 1: to make sure no one does drugs or fucks against
- 18:18Speaker 1: the sink orf or if he's smart about it, he's
- 18:22Speaker 1: my fucking drug deal And he's like, I got that shit,
- 18:24Speaker 1: go in the stall. Okay, maybe cut that out. No,
- 18:28Speaker 1: you can't leave that. Everyone likes to hear how Donald
- 18:30Speaker 1: would hustle as a bathroom attendant if I was a
- 18:33Speaker 1: bathroom anyway. Anyway, So the stall has also been adjusted
- 18:40Speaker 1: at this restaurant so that it doesn't go anywhere near
- 18:43Speaker 1: the floor again, for the same reasons. They don't want
- 18:45Speaker 1: people congregating in there together. There's only one stall, it's
- 18:48Speaker 1: probably the bottom. The door is probably three feet off
- 18:51Speaker 1: the ground. I don't know what the fucking stall door
- 18:53Speaker 1: is blocking, but I have to puke. So I'm down
- 18:57Speaker 1: on my knees and I'm trying to fucking get this
- 19:00Speaker 1: puke out because I'm like in my mind, I'm like,
- 19:02Speaker 1: if I just puke, get this out, no harm, no foul.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Go back to my fortieth birthday party. And then the
- 19:08Speaker 1: guy guy comes into the bathroom behind me because it's
- 19:10Speaker 1: you know, a multiple thing, and he says the bathroom lieutendant,
- 19:15Speaker 1: pointing at me. I can hear him see him pointing
- 19:17Speaker 1: at my legs because everyone can see me. It's it's
- 19:19Speaker 1: a high stall door. And he goes really loudly so
- 19:25Speaker 1: I can hear go, wow already, meaning like it's only
- 19:29Speaker 1: like eight thirty. Why are you puking already? Rude? And
- 19:33Speaker 1: now mind you, I have nothing in my body and
- 19:35Speaker 1: so I'm not like not like drunk or anything. So
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't get it up. Can't get up.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I say. I tip the guy like twenty bucks. I'm like,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, but I'm probably gonna be back to puke. Um.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I don't feel well. And he's like okay, and so,
- 19:48Speaker 1: oh yeah, do you want to buy some blow? No,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I'm just kiddy. So I go back to the table,
- 19:53Speaker 1: all the guests arriving, I'm smiling and everyone I'm like,
- 19:56Speaker 1: oh my god, this is really bad. This is really bad.
- 19:58Speaker 1: This is really bad. And everyone's sitting down and I
- 20:01Speaker 1: run out the door. I'm like, fuck that bathroom. I'm
- 20:03Speaker 1: just gonna go puke on the street. So I run
- 20:05Speaker 1: down to the street and there's a dumpster like across
- 20:08Speaker 1: the street. I start puking like like fire hose, Like
- 20:11Speaker 1: stand by me, fire hose pukes straight up projectile varment. Yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 1: And of course people are people are passing on the
- 20:17Speaker 1: street being like oh my god, this guy again, same attitude,
- 20:20Speaker 1: like little early buddy, you know that kind of thing.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Everyone thinks I'm hammering, but I'm stone cold, sober food poisoning,
- 20:26Speaker 1: and every time I puke. I won't tell you the
- 20:29Speaker 1: whole story, but there's like fifteen more times. I keep thinking,
- 20:32Speaker 1: this will be the time where it's over and I can.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I've gotten it out of my did the dealer slap
- 20:38Speaker 1: and push it away? Yeah, the dealer clap and push
- 20:41Speaker 1: away from the tape. Yeah, now I've already paid for
- 20:44Speaker 1: this dinner. Everyone's here. Now. The good news is when
- 20:47Speaker 1: I went back everyone, I could see everyone like you
- 20:50Speaker 1: would you. They think I'm They think I'm out around
- 20:52Speaker 1: socializing with other people. No one's thinking about me. They're
- 20:54Speaker 1: all getting drunk, they're all eating sushi, they're all talking
- 20:56Speaker 1: to each other. And finally I go to my mom.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Was like it was one of those moments where even
- 21:00Speaker 1: you're forty, you need your mom and I'm like, Mom,
- 21:02Speaker 1: what the fuck? I probably didn't say fuck to my mom. Mom,
- 21:05Speaker 1: what the heck am I supposed to do? Like? What
- 21:08Speaker 1: is somebody supposed to do in this here? I'm puking
- 21:10Speaker 1: at dumpsters outside and she goes, you have to go
- 21:12Speaker 1: home and I was like, you're right, I'm gonna French exit.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Don't tell anyone, or if they ask, you can tell
- 21:18Speaker 1: me at the end. So I grabbed my coat and
- 21:19Speaker 1: I left, and everyone had a great time at my
- 21:21Speaker 1: birthday and I paid the bill. Wow, that's very nice
- 21:27Speaker 1: of you to pay that bill, buddy. Oh you kidding me?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Come on, they all came to my big birthday party,
- 21:31Speaker 1: and I was incapacitud um. The next year was the
- 21:37Speaker 1: next year, Well, I rationalized the next year being like,
- 21:39Speaker 1: this is gonna be my fortieth birthday. That was a
- 21:41Speaker 1: that's that's a mulligan. Is that what you say? Yeah, yes,
- 21:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a mulligan and uh and we're gonna
- 21:48Speaker 1: go to Mexico and go all out. And then we did.
- 21:50Speaker 1: And that's infamously got woozy. That that was when I
- 21:53Speaker 1: got brother josh Is in town and we were we
- 21:56Speaker 1: were laughing about you getting woozy. Yeah, nothing makes him
- 21:59Speaker 1: laugh harder than you going I was woozy. Um. Yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 1: you know, I'm glad it didn't. I'm glad it didn't
- 22:10Speaker 1: come out both ends because that would have been really embarrassing. Dude. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 1: So it was horrible. It was horrible. I mean, if
- 22:16Speaker 1: you've ever had food, I'm assuming it was food poisoning
- 22:18Speaker 1: from So it wasn't trust me, it wasn't from Catch,
- 22:20Speaker 1: which is an incredible restaurant. It was so it happened
- 22:23Speaker 1: during because I didn't even have a bite of cat.
- 22:24Speaker 1: It was it happened in some of the restaurant or something.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I wonder. I wonder how Elliott would deal with this
- 22:31Speaker 1: problem then, you know what I mean, like that is
- 22:33Speaker 1: a that's one of those moments where if she can't pooh,
- 22:39Speaker 1: if she's a nervous poor, if you're a nervous poor,
- 22:42Speaker 1: I guess you'd have to project she would just throw
- 22:43Speaker 1: up on everybody. Well, Ellie's extreme. Elliott decides tells Carla
- 22:47Speaker 1: that if she cannot handle the you know, talking on
- 22:51Speaker 1: the toy rules, she's gonna have to move out. Yeah.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Not only that, if she brings it up that she
- 22:58Speaker 1: talked on the toy, that she was on the toilet
- 23:00Speaker 1: talking to her, she won't poo for another two weeks.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I wonder if Sarah really has this conundrum. I'm sure
- 23:08Speaker 1: Sarah's a nervous Do you think Sarah's a nervous poor?
- 23:11Speaker 1: I believe Sarah's a nervous poor. I don't think like I.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I feel like this is based on her character. My
- 23:18Speaker 1: brother said the same thing. My brother was laughing, is
- 23:20Speaker 1: this must be really be her? Yeah, I feel like
- 23:23Speaker 1: Sarah's segment that would be great. Um, can we do that? Sarah? Sure?
- 23:28Speaker 1: Are you really a nervous poor? Do you your character
- 23:31Speaker 1: in this episode really really cannot talk even through the
- 23:35Speaker 1: door if someone's asking them a question. She can't even
- 23:38Speaker 1: talk about it. Like after days after at work, she
- 23:42Speaker 1: can't talk about it. Sarah, the audience want to know
- 23:45Speaker 1: all of the world. They want to know, do you
- 23:47Speaker 1: have this problem with your anus? So? Am I a
- 23:51Speaker 1: nervous poor? I think the answer is going to surprise
- 23:54Speaker 1: you because it doesn't really go with my personality. And
- 23:55Speaker 1: I think you're going to bet that I am a
- 23:57Speaker 1: nervous poor. But I'm actually not a nervous poor. And
- 23:59Speaker 1: I think that that comes from when I was a kid,
- 24:02Speaker 1: we did a lot of camping, like not just car camping,
- 24:04Speaker 1: but you know, hiking overnight in the woods camping. So
- 24:06Speaker 1: I have like a very high comfort level with it
- 24:08Speaker 1: also with talking about it, discussing it. Um, I would
- 24:12Speaker 1: say I'm more of a grateful poor you know, just
- 24:14Speaker 1: grateful that it's uh, everything's working out. Thank you Sarah,
- 24:17Speaker 1: Thank you Sarah for talking about your bomb movement. We
- 24:22Speaker 1: should go to break, Buddy's go to break. We'll be
- 24:24Speaker 1: right back and we're back and we're back. What we
- 24:34Speaker 1: laughed out loud when we were in the bouncy castle.
- 24:36Speaker 1: My tummy is starting to rumble, speaking of nervous pooing. Yeah,
- 24:42Speaker 1: so I take you to the carnival. We still go.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I can't and it's just a bounty house. Yeah, we
- 24:47Speaker 1: really really must have ran out of money by episode
- 24:50Speaker 1: twenty of season four, when the Carnival was represented by
- 24:52Speaker 1: a bouncy castle. Bill must that money elsewhere. We should
- 24:59Speaker 1: talk about Can Jenkins and the Telco storyline and how
- 25:02Speaker 1: great it was and how great he was. Yeah, and um,
- 25:07Speaker 1: it's always so refreshing when Bill gives Ken more levels
- 25:12Speaker 1: to play than just the grumpy boss, because he's such
- 25:14Speaker 1: a good actor Ken that he just delivers. And you know,
- 25:18Speaker 1: this was one of those episodes where he really got
- 25:21Speaker 1: to do a lot with not only taking on a patient,
- 25:24Speaker 1: but also his sort of old man camaraderie with Johnny c.
- 25:29Speaker 1: You know, talking about how medicine used to be and
- 25:31Speaker 1: how he was feeling how doctors and I imagine this
- 25:35Speaker 1: came from real doctors saying, we feel disrespected in some
- 25:38Speaker 1: ways now the advent of phones and the internet, everyone
- 25:41Speaker 1: thinks they know more than us. And we used to
- 25:43Speaker 1: we used to have a level of respect in society
- 25:45Speaker 1: that we don't get from everybody these days anymore. Doctors
- 25:48Speaker 1: also used to it used to be a job that
- 25:50Speaker 1: was it was a it was like if you were
- 25:52Speaker 1: a doctor, you were like, you know, you were a
- 25:57Speaker 1: leader in the community. You know, you were there were
- 25:59Speaker 1: so many things, and well think, yeah, there were so
- 26:02Speaker 1: many great things about being a doctor, and I think
- 26:04Speaker 1: you're still a leader in the community. And I do,
- 26:06Speaker 1: I personally think you're still respected. But I'm sure they
- 26:08Speaker 1: would say, we don't make anywhere the money we used
- 26:11Speaker 1: to make, and we have to go to school for
- 26:12Speaker 1: fucking eight years. You know. I would hope that people
- 26:17Speaker 1: would look to doctors and and uh to be leaders
- 26:22Speaker 1: in the community. I don't know that I would, you know,
- 26:24Speaker 1: if my next door neighbor could be a doctor, I
- 26:26Speaker 1: don't you know, I'm not going to handle but don't
- 26:29Speaker 1: you when you when you come across someone who's a
- 26:32Speaker 1: medical doctor, don't you. I have the unsugger amount of
- 26:36Speaker 1: respect for them. I have the utmost respect for them.
- 26:39Speaker 1: But a lot of it has to do with the
- 26:40Speaker 1: fact that I played a doctor on television, you know
- 26:42Speaker 1: what I mean. A lot of it has to do
- 26:44Speaker 1: with knowing what they go through and how stressful the
- 26:47Speaker 1: job is. You know. But in our society, if someone's
- 26:50Speaker 1: like if someone you meet someone and they're dating someone new,
- 26:52Speaker 1: and you know, what does he do? What does he
- 26:54Speaker 1: she do? They go, oh, she's a doctor. You're like, oh,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you know, that's still a natural reaction, right, And then
- 27:00Speaker 1: you find out that they ain't him making no money
- 27:02Speaker 1: and you find out there you find out they're a chiropractor,
- 27:04Speaker 1: and you're like, ooh, well you find out there. I'm
- 27:07Speaker 1: just kidding. You find out they are dermatologists. That was
- 27:09Speaker 1: so funny. That was very funny to me. I didn't
- 27:13Speaker 1: even hit it, Daniel, Sure you didn't. It's got a
- 27:16Speaker 1: mind of its own. That was very funny with the UH,
- 27:18Speaker 1: with the UH with the dermatologists running down the hall
- 27:21Speaker 1: mod get out of my way, get out, And then
- 27:24Speaker 1: his diagnosis at the end was like, oh yeah, your
- 27:27Speaker 1: skin looks bad. Yeah, yeah, that was really funny. And
- 27:33Speaker 1: and then and then and then uh Cox says, you
- 27:36Speaker 1: look like a purse. Yeah, because the guy was so
- 27:39Speaker 1: sunburnt and fucked up his face with melanoma. That was
- 27:43Speaker 1: that was very very Funum. Now, let's talk about the
- 27:45Speaker 1: most important thing that happens in this episode of all time,
- 27:47Speaker 1: the introduction of who. Well, it's not the introduction, but
- 27:51Speaker 1: it's the it's the us finding out. This is the
- 27:53Speaker 1: first time you say, which is crazy? Wait? I have
- 27:56Speaker 1: a question which was in another episode, which is in
- 27:59Speaker 1: an episode with Tom Hanks's brother that already happened. No,
- 28:03Speaker 1: did it not happen yet? No? Okay, so yeah, I
- 28:06Speaker 1: guess this is the introduce This is the introduction of Hooch.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I know that to be a fact because I double
- 28:10Speaker 1: check scrubs Wiki. Okay, well I'm gonna say this, then
- 28:14Speaker 1: go ahead. Turk and j D egged hooch on. Turke
- 28:17Speaker 1: and JD we crazy. No, I just made him crazy, No, sir,
- 28:23Speaker 1: you can't make someone crazy like that. We we didn't
- 28:27Speaker 1: know what we were messing with. We messed with the
- 28:29Speaker 1: bull and we got the horns. Many episodes later, we
- 28:36Speaker 1: late us assumed that he was sort of laughing along
- 28:38Speaker 1: with us. He was not fucking coming. It's okay, j
- 28:42Speaker 1: It's okay, JD. It's okay, JD. It's okay. It happens
- 28:46Speaker 1: all the time. You could have said he here instead
- 28:49Speaker 1: of hooch. Though, the best part about that is, I want,
- 28:52Speaker 1: if you, I want the audience listening to go back
- 28:54Speaker 1: and watch this moment where Phil Lewis, the fucking hilarious
- 28:57Speaker 1: Phil Lewis, the comic. Did you see what he does
- 29:00Speaker 1: on the on the counter. He does a little little
- 29:03Speaker 1: double tap. He's so livid. Did you catch that? You Well,
- 29:07Speaker 1: he's so livid. He's so livid, and he's holding all
- 29:10Speaker 1: his fucking rage in and he comes when when when
- 29:13Speaker 1: we said let's have some hooch or whatever we say,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and he comes in. It's in the it's in the lobby,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and he's through the through the little window to the
- 29:18Speaker 1: hallway and he goes. It just feels like, I don't
- 29:22Speaker 1: know where he does it, but he puts a little
- 29:24Speaker 1: in the pause. He just feels like he could have
- 29:27Speaker 1: said something else. It's just a little there's something about it.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I find so funny. It's his rage is going through
- 29:34Speaker 1: his whole body, and all he can do to hold
- 29:36Speaker 1: it in is just a little counter tap, right, like
- 29:39Speaker 1: it like it alleviates the rage just a little bit.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Just yeah, yeah, he's tapping it down. It just lets
- 29:47Speaker 1: a little bit of the rage come out through his fingers.
- 29:53Speaker 1: But dude, Hooch is fucking keeping that rage in. And
- 29:56Speaker 1: we think, oh, it's fun to mess with Hooch, but
- 30:00Speaker 1: we don't know what's going to come out of it. Well,
- 30:02Speaker 1: you say it's yourself after you get Elliott to do it,
- 30:04Speaker 1: just say, but I only I'm still saying it in
- 30:06Speaker 1: a joking way, dude, I'm still like crazy. That is
- 30:13Speaker 1: the long game, Dude, that is the long game. Bill
- 30:15Speaker 1: and the writers were playing the long game on this
- 30:18Speaker 1: joke because the payoff doesn't come from many, many, many
- 30:21Speaker 1: many episodes. Yeah, well you know what happens is is
- 30:25Speaker 1: that And this is a lesson to you actors out there.
- 30:27Speaker 1: You could come onto a show. I mean, Phil was
- 30:29Speaker 1: ann actor, but you could come onto a show with
- 30:31Speaker 1: two sentences and if you do something that's funny or great,
- 30:35Speaker 1: people will start, the writers start to write for you.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I mean, let's just have him back, Let's keep going
- 30:39Speaker 1: and Phil obviously wasn't an unknown actor, but he was
- 30:43Speaker 1: so fucking funny. Is this character that Bill just kept
- 30:46Speaker 1: writing for him, kept putting him on. And then obviously,
- 30:48Speaker 1: as you all know, he became a fan favorite. And
- 30:52Speaker 1: and you know, which is crazy is something that gets
- 30:55Speaker 1: said to me all the times a month. I'm sure.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I'm sure when Phil meet people, I'm sure he's he's
- 31:01Speaker 1: heard that before. Oh yeah, and and no running in
- 31:04Speaker 1: my lobby apparently from from Zack and Cody, Sweet Life
- 31:08Speaker 1: of Zack and Cody. I guess he was the hotel manager, Joel.
- 31:12Speaker 1: He was, Yeah, he was. Yeah, I think he was
- 31:15Speaker 1: a manager. If memory serious, it's been a minute, but yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 1: he was definitely, Sam, Are you young enough to watch
- 31:21Speaker 1: that show? Joel? I was like just above the age,
- 31:25Speaker 1: but I was still watching a lot of Disney cartoons,
- 31:27Speaker 1: so occasionally I would, you know, catch a clip or
- 31:30Speaker 1: a moment that's like when Save by the Bell came out.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I was a little too old to be watching Say
- 31:35Speaker 1: by the Bell yourself watching some kids show. I don't
- 31:42Speaker 1: think there's a show meant for young people that I
- 31:44Speaker 1: that I watched into adulthood. Really well, I don't know.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I can't think of one. I mean American Idol. I
- 31:51Speaker 1: guess I watched sometimes that's that's not perfect. That's meant
- 31:54Speaker 1: for everybody, that's for everybody. The janitors are drunk. Dude, Holy,
- 32:00Speaker 1: I don't know if he's. Yeah, he is. There are
- 32:01Speaker 1: a lot of jokes about him being a covert alcoholic. Wow,
- 32:06Speaker 1: he's really drunk in this episode. Yeah, he didn't have
- 32:08Speaker 1: much to do. He didn't even don't think he had
- 32:10Speaker 1: much of even a laugh. He just had to be
- 32:12Speaker 1: like drunk at work. Right. Well, he got he had
- 32:14Speaker 1: to do voiceover. Yeah, that was weird too. So what
- 32:18Speaker 1: happened was I tap him and he starts voice over,
- 32:20Speaker 1: and I turned to my brother because I was reminding him.
- 32:23Speaker 1: I go, oh, you know once a season I passed
- 32:25Speaker 1: the voiceover around. This must be the janitor's episode, And
- 32:27Speaker 1: then it wasn't. He just did all of a sudden,
- 32:30Speaker 1: Bill sort of broke his own rules and gave the
- 32:32Speaker 1: janitor like a few lines of voiceover right that scene
- 32:36Speaker 1: and then the scene later when he's in the hallway
- 32:38Speaker 1: with Kelso. It really bothered me that Kelso can't get
- 32:41Speaker 1: the door open right, and you see clearly that he's
- 32:43Speaker 1: not pushing the handle that would open the door, right,
- 32:46Speaker 1: it's not even trying it. And then he adds a
- 32:49Speaker 1: line like how did she lodge this door closed? And
- 32:51Speaker 1: then we cut inside. There's clearly nothing blocking the door, right,
- 32:56Speaker 1: and then and then he'd uses the screwdriver door. Well,
- 32:58Speaker 1: then he uses the screwdriver, right, but I didn't even
- 33:00Speaker 1: think the hinges are on the on the on that
- 33:02Speaker 1: side of the door, right. So then later on the
- 33:05Speaker 1: door has obviously been repaired, and and he busts it
- 33:09Speaker 1: open like he's the Hulk again without a screw driver. Right.
- 33:11Speaker 1: He just wanted to make an entrance. That was very fun.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And then his speech at the end was, you know,
- 33:16Speaker 1: to this day, it's one of the best lines. I'm
- 33:19Speaker 1: gonna I don't want to butcher it. What does he say? Anything?
- 33:22Speaker 1: Nothing worth having comes easy, right, which is the lesson
- 33:28Speaker 1: of the show and very very useful advice to everybody
- 33:30Speaker 1: on everything. Anything you want, it's not it's not going
- 33:33Speaker 1: to come easy. I didn't know Google was around back then. Yeah,
- 33:39Speaker 1: I remember, ask Jeeves, You remember that, yeah, asked Jeeves.
- 33:45Speaker 1: She has like a she has an early smartphone, because
- 33:47Speaker 1: you know, if you look at the show, all of
- 33:50Speaker 1: us are really using flip phones still. She has sort
- 33:52Speaker 1: of like a palm pilot. The character the Kelsel's dealing one,
- 33:56Speaker 1: she has sort of a palm pilot. Yeah, I found Yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I found that very very I just didn't know that
- 34:05Speaker 1: we had Google like that back then. I remember Yahoo,
- 34:09Speaker 1: I remember, you know, I didn't know Google was I
- 34:13Speaker 1: don't know, Joel, what un in nineteen ninety eight, September
- 34:16Speaker 1: four when you did the iPhone come out? Two thousand
- 34:20Speaker 1: and seven seven, So we're nowhere near the iPhone coming
- 34:24Speaker 1: out yet. What were people using at this time? Well,
- 34:27Speaker 1: we had flip phones and then and then and then
- 34:29Speaker 1: the woman in this episode clearly has some Internet phone
- 34:32Speaker 1: because she's she's using her little stylists. It must have
- 34:34Speaker 1: been a pompilot, I'm guessing. But Wi Fi was around
- 34:37Speaker 1: like that or she's on you know what I mean,
- 34:39Speaker 1: like how much she I don't know how did pompilot work, Dane?
- 34:43Speaker 1: They had, thank you very much. They had They could
- 34:46Speaker 1: have received internet through like you know, either Wi Fi
- 34:49Speaker 1: or but I'm pretty sure at this point everything was
- 34:52Speaker 1: hardwired into the wall, right, like you had to eat
- 34:56Speaker 1: their net. And we've had Wi Fi for a long time.
- 34:59Speaker 1: We've had five for a long time. Oh, I just
- 35:01Speaker 1: didn't get hip to it until after scrubs. I guess, well,
- 35:03Speaker 1: you probably didn't have DSL. You maybe had a modem. Yeah,
- 35:07Speaker 1: that's what you know. And I don't know. I don't
- 35:10Speaker 1: know either, to be honest, which I just found this
- 35:12Speaker 1: very interesting. I was like, wow, my my, my remembrance
- 35:18Speaker 1: of technology is way off. Um who says a nurse
- 35:24Speaker 1: Robert says she Google? Was it? She googled your ass? Yeah?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Was that Nurse Robberts? You said that? Yeah? And then
- 35:30Speaker 1: he goes, I'm not Nurse Roberts. I don't I'm not
- 35:32Speaker 1: into your street lingo. Never heard of Google. No, that's
- 35:40Speaker 1: neither did I. At this point, I'm sure of it.
- 35:44Speaker 1: What about when Sarah when Judy speaking Spanish, and Sarah
- 35:47Speaker 1: cracks up and she goes, you know what I'm saying?
- 35:49Speaker 1: She goes, no, I just know when to laugh in
- 35:50Speaker 1: any language. We look good doing that cocktails thing. We
- 35:58Speaker 1: looked good. My brother was like, you, what did you
- 36:00Speaker 1: train for that? We did rehearse. I know we rehearsed,
- 36:04Speaker 1: but why did we look so good? I don't know.
- 36:08Speaker 1: We looked good? Yeah we did, Yeah, we did. We
- 36:12Speaker 1: looked like we were having a blast. That looked like
- 36:13Speaker 1: a fun party to Yeah. I wanted to get that party,
- 36:15Speaker 1: so did I. At that moment in time, I was like, wow,
- 36:17Speaker 1: look at all the ladies and look at JD. We
- 36:21Speaker 1: were liking cocktail like that Tom Cruise movie. Yeah. I
- 36:25Speaker 1: even did the spin with the bottle opener. Yeah, that
- 36:28Speaker 1: was fun. And then and then we were like, stay
- 36:30Speaker 1: here and drink for Carla. So then I said, Turk
- 36:37Speaker 1: has a hangoh even though I had a hangover that
- 36:39Speaker 1: would slay a walrus. Oh man, um, Yeah, so you're
- 36:48Speaker 1: so hungover that I think you've missed your lunch meeting
- 36:51Speaker 1: with Carla, but you've actually slept through it on perfect.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Turns out, he just didn't want to go. Yeah, why
- 36:57Speaker 1: because he was having so much fun with j D.
- 36:59Speaker 1: And he felt like it you know it all. You
- 37:03Speaker 1: know when the fight gets when the fight gets real,
- 37:08Speaker 1: are you somebody who's gonna dig in and punch back
- 37:12Speaker 1: or are you gonna run? You know? And it seems
- 37:16Speaker 1: like at this moment in time, Turk's a runner. Yeah.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Well I think he has some sort of drunken epiphany
- 37:24Speaker 1: because he decides like, no, I'm not going to be
- 37:28Speaker 1: the one that's like begging to get back anymore. I
- 37:30Speaker 1: gotta get out of the fetal position. If you don't
- 37:32Speaker 1: want to be in this, then you don't want to
- 37:33Speaker 1: be in this. But it's not even being in the
- 37:35Speaker 1: fetal position. He doesn't even want to try anymore. He's like,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna try. But then he does show
- 37:41Speaker 1: up at the grave, but that's after, that's after Kelso's speech. Yeah,
- 37:47Speaker 1: what's going on? You're right, Kelso? Kelso's advising the young
- 37:52Speaker 1: lady about getting a gastrol bypass. And then that's funny
- 37:56Speaker 1: when you when he means to be talking to her,
- 37:58Speaker 1: and then you settle up right next to her and
- 38:00Speaker 1: like what you forgot? What you say? Would you say
- 38:02Speaker 1: something like go on right? Pretty much? And then he says,
- 38:06Speaker 1: nothing worth having comes easy, whether it be taking on
- 38:10Speaker 1: your weight, or taking on a relationship problem, or taking
- 38:14Speaker 1: on your career goals, whatever it is. Um, if it's
- 38:18Speaker 1: worth having, it's not gonna happen without work. That's right.
- 38:22Speaker 1: It's all about the journey. It's all about the journey.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Did you notice, Um, oh that's what you say. I
- 38:29Speaker 1: wrote it down. You go, what if it's too hard. Yeah,
- 38:32Speaker 1: what if it is too hard? Did you notice a
- 38:37Speaker 1: little John Inwood directed this episode, who was our cinematographer
- 38:40Speaker 1: for eight seasons of Scrubs, And I don't know if
- 38:44Speaker 1: it was John or Carrie Bennett, our wardrobe designer, but
- 38:47Speaker 1: there's an interesting thing they did with the wardrobe of
- 38:49Speaker 1: you two at the grave. You're in you're in the
- 38:50Speaker 1: exact same colors. I didn't recognize that your outfits aren't matching, obviously,
- 38:55Speaker 1: but you're in the exact you're in the you're in.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Your clothing items are the exact same shade, just like
- 39:03Speaker 1: her shirt is your sweatshirt or something like that, to
- 39:06Speaker 1: signify that you're meant to be together. Well, yeah, that
- 39:10Speaker 1: they're that they're gonna be all right, That they're still
- 39:12Speaker 1: unity in the two of them, whether they know it
- 39:15Speaker 1: or not, they still have ay, they're still one, as
- 39:22Speaker 1: you would. Didn't you think that was a creative choice
- 39:24Speaker 1: to make. Even though they are separated, they are they
- 39:27Speaker 1: are still one in little subtle things. The audience might
- 39:30Speaker 1: not even notice it, but I happen to notice it.
- 39:33Speaker 1: That's awesome. How about Sarah stuck in the grave? That
- 39:36Speaker 1: was hilarious and she was stuck in the grave, and
- 39:38Speaker 1: she was stuck in the grave all night. She's like, well,
- 39:41Speaker 1: it can't get any worse, and then the thunder. Now.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Someone said on scrubs Wiki that they thought that might
- 39:48Speaker 1: be a reference to Young Frankenstein because apparently in Young
- 39:52Speaker 1: Frankenstein there's a joke I'm gonna read it off Scrowski
- 39:55Speaker 1: a possible reference to Young Frankenstein when Doctor Frankenstein and
- 39:59Speaker 1: Igor are digging a grave and Eager says, could be worse,
- 40:02Speaker 1: could be raining before? Yeah. Oh, when we say tokers,
- 40:06Speaker 1: smokers and jokers, that's um er. Yes, I'm a smoke
- 40:11Speaker 1: Steve millermant whoo whoo. Some people call me the Space Cowboy.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Some call me the Gangster of Love. Some people call
- 40:22Speaker 1: me Maurice. You know that song. Yeah, I'm a stoker.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I'm a smoker, poker, I'm a midnight whatever, it's midnight tooker.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I'm a joker, I'm a smoker. I'm a midnight toker
- 40:38Speaker 1: playing my music in the sun right yep. If you
- 40:41Speaker 1: don't know the joker, you gotta listen to it. It's
- 40:44Speaker 1: a it's an old school jam. I was gonna say this,
- 40:50Speaker 1: Uh it was. It's we jumped so far ahead. But
- 40:55Speaker 1: in the beginning when the young lady is delusional because
- 40:59Speaker 1: she's been worked for so long, Yeah, that was funny.
- 41:02Speaker 1: And at the end of it, she has popcorn. Yeah
- 41:05Speaker 1: did you laugh at that? I laughed? How does she
- 41:08Speaker 1: have popcorn? Popcorn? That made me laugh? She's so delusible.
- 41:12Speaker 1: She's like, I'd like two tickets too. I forgot what movie?
- 41:15Speaker 1: Million dollar Baby, million dollars baby. The cafeteria crazy. The
- 41:28Speaker 1: crazy thing about the hospitals is that they they work
- 41:31Speaker 1: these poor people so hard and then they're meant to
- 41:34Speaker 1: be like saving lives. She's like hallucinating. She hasn't slept
- 41:36Speaker 1: in so long. She's at the cafeteria buying theater tickets,
- 41:41Speaker 1: and then she's got a big tub of popcorn. Popcorn. Um, Joel,
- 41:48Speaker 1: do we have a guest today? We do have a guest. Yes,
- 41:52Speaker 1: they're here, all right. Why don't we take a break
- 41:54Speaker 1: we come back. We have an interesting guest that Donald
- 41:57Speaker 1: knows today, Sean McBee. Isn't that I want to also
- 42:01Speaker 1: mention that next week we have the two directors of
- 42:04Speaker 1: c Spiracy on, so you're gonna want to make sure
- 42:07Speaker 1: that betwixt now and uh next Tuesday, you you watch
- 42:14Speaker 1: the spiracy because then you'll really be able to participate
- 42:16Speaker 1: in the discussion. I'm very excited about that. It's a fancy. Also,
- 42:19Speaker 1: when this show airs, you know, a day it is,
- 42:22Speaker 1: what May the fourth be with you? Oh? Sho? So
- 42:27Speaker 1: should we act like it's May the May the fourth
- 42:29Speaker 1: and say happy May the fourth? So you Donald and Joel?
- 42:32Speaker 1: I mean you could say it, but you know I'm
- 42:35Speaker 1: gonna say it again on May the fourth. Yeah, but
- 42:37Speaker 1: we're not going recording a podcast, I know, but I'm
- 42:40Speaker 1: going to dedicate my Instagram. But what are you gonna
- 42:43Speaker 1: do for May the fourth? Work? Yeah? Work? Yeah? Man,
- 42:48Speaker 1: it's a freak. It's not a national holiday. Shit it
- 42:53Speaker 1: it's just the nerds holiday. Yeah. But I'm saying, what
- 42:56Speaker 1: are you gonna do to celebrate May fourth? And I'm
- 42:59Speaker 1: probably gonna buy a lot of Star Wars ship dude,
- 43:01Speaker 1: like you always doing Made the Fourth? Okay, Joel, what
- 43:04Speaker 1: are your plans? Um? Well, I'm gonna be gearing up
- 43:08Speaker 1: for the new animated series it's coming out. Bad Batch
- 43:12Speaker 1: comes out that day and it's gonna be like an
- 43:14Speaker 1: hour and a half freaking premiere. I can't wait. Yeah,
- 43:19Speaker 1: So I'm gonna just be diving deep into the Clone
- 43:21Speaker 1: Wars stock. I have all of the books. I'll probably
- 43:23Speaker 1: be doing some reading's just love it on Star Wars. Donald,
- 43:27Speaker 1: did you see that Disneyland is reopened at partial capacity?
- 43:33Speaker 1: I thought you'd be excited about that. I am excited
- 43:35Speaker 1: about it. I you know, we're trying to figure that
- 43:38Speaker 1: out now, Um Disneyland, you're gonna go? Are you going
- 43:41Speaker 1: to be one of the people that is an early
- 43:42Speaker 1: adopter of returning to theme parks? Yeah? Man, that's listen.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm vaccinated, um right, and my wife's vaccinated.
- 43:53Speaker 1: And in California as as a matter of fact, across America,
- 43:58Speaker 1: the CDC says you can walk outside without masks or
- 44:02Speaker 1: on as long now, as long as you're not in
- 44:05Speaker 1: a crowded place, and so if it's crowded, I've definitely
- 44:08Speaker 1: you know, I'm sure they have rules. I think it's
- 44:10Speaker 1: required to wear a masking at all times. That's that's
- 44:13Speaker 1: that's it is. And they're only at thirty percent capacity.
- 44:17Speaker 1: That's foreseeable future. So that's cool. You must be excited
- 44:22Speaker 1: to return now, are there? Star Wars rides that you
- 44:24Speaker 1: haven't been on that might be newly open. I've been
- 44:27Speaker 1: on everything the New Star Wars land yet and I'm
- 44:35Speaker 1: in that in that area where they do that little
- 44:36Speaker 1: show when the people come out and costume and they
- 44:39Speaker 1: engage with the fans. Do you talk to them? Are
- 44:41Speaker 1: you like Stormtrooper? I want to talk to you. That's
- 44:44Speaker 1: the thing. The Stormtroopers come up to you, right and
- 44:47Speaker 1: let the great that the awesome thing about about uh,
- 44:53Speaker 1: what is it the what's the name of the Galaxy's
- 44:56Speaker 1: Edge is that it is interact active and you choose
- 45:01Speaker 1: a side when you get there. It's like you're either
- 45:03Speaker 1: you're either a new Republic or or your first order.
- 45:09Speaker 1: And if your new public, uh, there are people that
- 45:13Speaker 1: interact with you. If your first Order, there are people
- 45:15Speaker 1: that interact with you. Uh. And it's an adventure and
- 45:19Speaker 1: you fly the Millennium Falcon and you go on this
- 45:22Speaker 1: real dope ride that is really like the intertell that's
- 45:27Speaker 1: happening over there, Like it's really good. I'm gonna say this.
- 45:33Speaker 1: The ride itself is like Small World, but the but
- 45:38Speaker 1: the the um it's like the interaction. Yeah, well, it's
- 45:42Speaker 1: like you're sitting in a no, because look, it's it is.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Small World is fucking awesome. Dude, you don't like Small World.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I like it as a kid, like it's like, oh,
- 45:54Speaker 1: we have to come and see Small World. But as
- 45:56Speaker 1: an adult, I skipped Small World. I don't want to,
- 45:58Speaker 1: not at all. I love I get on Small World
- 45:59Speaker 1: every time. Look so, well, you have little kids. If
- 46:03Speaker 1: I had little kids, I would, but I'm not. I
- 46:05Speaker 1: go with adults. I'm not going on Small World. So
- 46:07Speaker 1: it's a it's a you're literally being I don't want
- 46:11Speaker 1: to give it away to the I almost want to
- 46:13Speaker 1: pause this because, like I feel like we're about to
- 46:15Speaker 1: enter a spoiler territory for this. Yeah, I don't want
- 46:16Speaker 1: to give it away. You know that Rides had spoilers.
- 46:19Speaker 1: This is one of those rods one this one has,
- 46:22Speaker 1: you know this one has. It's like you're in a movie,
- 46:25Speaker 1: dude that I haven't been to that one because it
- 46:28Speaker 1: wasn't open when I went. But I went on the
- 46:30Speaker 1: one where you feel like you're flying around and it
- 46:32Speaker 1: really made me nauseous. Did you fly to Millennium Falcon? No, yes,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I'm stars. You're talking star tours. What's the one that's
- 46:39Speaker 1: basically you're watching a movie stars. You're talking start, we
- 46:44Speaker 1: should didn't be done with we should be done with
- 46:46Speaker 1: those kinds of rods, No, because they re they redid
- 46:48Speaker 1: that when Also the Look Star Tours is fire. Also, um,
- 46:53Speaker 1: but you fly to Millennium Falcon, dude, and you literally
- 46:56Speaker 1: fly the Millennium Falcon and everybody has only one pets
- 47:00Speaker 1: to no no, zach no, I was tasked with hitting
- 47:06Speaker 1: buttons that didn't do anything. Yeah, you do if you
- 47:08Speaker 1: can listen, man, if you listen, okay to higher you listen.
- 47:16Speaker 1: If you get the if you I've gotten a couple
- 47:19Speaker 1: of canisters of coaxium, right, and if you get the KAK,
- 47:23Speaker 1: you go into the can'teema and they freaking give you love.
- 47:28Speaker 1: They're like, y'all heard your U I heard your coaxium
- 47:32Speaker 1: run was whatever whatever, And you're like yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 47:35Speaker 1: no doubt, no doubt. Oh my god, dude, it's amazing.
- 47:39Speaker 1: It's amazing. You can build droids, you build lightsabers. On
- 47:44Speaker 1: this video of this, they got a shop where they
- 47:46Speaker 1: got a baby Sarlac in it. Man, there's a baby Sarlac,
- 47:50Speaker 1: a baby Sarlac. I saw the girl who plays ray
- 47:54Speaker 1: walking around and some guy was like trying to like
- 47:56Speaker 1: flirt with her. It was so cringey. It was because
- 47:59Speaker 1: this poor girl, like it's one thing to be in
- 48:01Speaker 1: a storm Troop outfit, but she's, you know, dressed, is
- 48:03Speaker 1: like the beautiful ray less. Guy's like trying to like
- 48:07Speaker 1: talk her up, and she's like, I've got to be
- 48:09Speaker 1: going back to my ship now. Some of the best
- 48:15Speaker 1: motion control characters I've ever seen in my life in
- 48:19Speaker 1: my ride I haven't been on because the one I
- 48:22Speaker 1: was on I did not like. And it looks like
- 48:24Speaker 1: it's a real thing. It looks like the star the
- 48:27Speaker 1: bar is amazing too. The drinks design of the bar
- 48:29Speaker 1: is beautiful. Yes, I mean so I was. I was
- 48:32Speaker 1: lucky enough at one point to be in the Star
- 48:34Speaker 1: Wars camp and then I blew it by, you know,
- 48:37Speaker 1: being me and and rebelling against certain things. But I
- 48:42Speaker 1: was in the Star Wars camp and I got to
- 48:44Speaker 1: go behind the scenes and see all of this stuff
- 48:46Speaker 1: before it was made, and it was one of the
- 48:49Speaker 1: most amazing things I've ever been a part of in
- 48:51Speaker 1: my life. I was one of the first I was
- 48:53Speaker 1: one of the first people to ever fly the Millennium
- 48:56Speaker 1: Falcon I'm gonna put it out there, that's dope. Um.
- 49:00Speaker 1: When you walk into that world and you see the
- 49:01Speaker 1: Lennium falcon, it looks cool. But for me it was
- 49:04Speaker 1: kind of like, but that new ride wasn't open yet. Yes,
- 49:07Speaker 1: what were you gonna say? Now? All I was gonna
- 49:08Speaker 1: say about this is there's a podcast I listened to
- 49:10Speaker 1: called podcast The Ride where they talk about these things,
- 49:12Speaker 1: and a terminology that I learned from that podcast is
- 49:15Speaker 1: called ride system. And a ride system is how you
- 49:17Speaker 1: describe things like the chairs that you sit in. So,
- 49:20Speaker 1: for example, if a ride has like a thing that
- 49:22Speaker 1: you walk along, that is a ride system. If you
- 49:25Speaker 1: think about like Haunted mansion where you sit in those
- 49:27Speaker 1: little chairs, that is an individual ride system. A roller
- 49:30Speaker 1: coaster where you strap yourself in, that is one ride system.
- 49:34Speaker 1: This Star Wars ride is four separate ride systems in
- 49:39Speaker 1: one ride, in one experience. So that is why I've
- 49:43Speaker 1: been trying to spare myself the like the Spoiler experience.
- 49:46Speaker 1: I don't want to. I don't want to. I don't
- 49:48Speaker 1: want to tell you what happens. Don't listen. I was
- 49:53Speaker 1: trying to do that that I now have to tell
- 49:55Speaker 1: you what happened. I got to do it. No, no,
- 49:57Speaker 1: I gotta do it. No, it's too late, you said you.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I want to know I was trying to provide. I
- 50:05Speaker 1: said it was small World. I was talking it down
- 50:07Speaker 1: when I said it was small World, Bunny, I was
- 50:09Speaker 1: trying to not I was not trying to make your
- 50:12Speaker 1: expectations high. You're gonna enjoy this small World at all?
- 50:16Speaker 1: Or is this the same thing over? No, it's a
- 50:18Speaker 1: classic design by one of the most famous imagineers ever.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Leave that alone. Oh man, it's not my favorite ride.
- 50:27Speaker 1: It's it's it's really challenging to you sit there and
- 50:29Speaker 1: with the same song over and over and over again.
- 50:31Speaker 1: But it's but just from a design perspective and perspective,
- 50:35Speaker 1: I think it's important, you know. I think I think
- 50:38Speaker 1: if you skip out on Small World, you're skipping out
- 50:41Speaker 1: on a great experience that has been around forever with
- 50:44Speaker 1: Disneyland or Disney World. I'm just putting it out there,
- 50:47Speaker 1: all right, there you go. Um, we are going to
- 50:50Speaker 1: take a break and we come back. We have a
- 50:51Speaker 1: very interesting guess. We'll be right back and we're bad.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I'm sitting here in a wet bathing suit and I
- 51:03Speaker 1: mean thinking the whole time about taking it off. Don't wow?
- 51:08Speaker 1: Please know no, I mean I wouldn't show my jump
- 51:11Speaker 1: you guys. Let's bring him the guests. Let's let's all
- 51:16Speaker 1: the guests. Should we have the guest opine? If they
- 51:18Speaker 1: think I should take off my wet suit, sure we
- 51:20Speaker 1: can ask Sean. He's gonna tell you to take it
- 51:21Speaker 1: off though, but okay, okay, well, and Sean will decide.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all walks
- 51:33Speaker 1: of life, please welcome Sean mccad Hey, guys, Sean program,
- 51:46Speaker 1: how's everybody doing? How are you doing? Why does it
- 51:49Speaker 1: look like you have a more professional audio recording studio
- 51:52Speaker 1: than we do? And we have a successful podcast. I
- 51:55Speaker 1: have two unsuccessful podcasts that way too much money into. Dude,
- 52:00Speaker 1: your setup looks amazing, Daniel, can you take a screenshot?
- 52:03Speaker 1: You can eat all of that shit he has. We'll
- 52:06Speaker 1: get we'll get it. Get that right over. Oh my god,
- 52:08Speaker 1: what podcasts do you do? Yes? Plug your podcast right
- 52:11Speaker 1: off the bat, Sean, All right, right off the bat.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I've got one called table Reads, where me and two
- 52:16Speaker 1: guys funnier than me read scripts that never got made
- 52:20Speaker 1: and sort of riff on them, and it's it's not like, uh,
- 52:25Speaker 1: aspirational scripts. It's like big budget money grab things like
- 52:29Speaker 1: Josh Whedon's Wonder Woman script. Yeah, we read the scripts
- 52:35Speaker 1: and we we point out what's what's terrible about them?
- 52:39Speaker 1: What about Tim Burton? Did you ever do Tim Burton's Superman?
- 52:43Speaker 1: It's on the list? Can you find How do you
- 52:45Speaker 1: get these scripts? How do you? Oh, there's places all
- 52:49Speaker 1: over the internet, and you know, I work in the
- 52:51Speaker 1: film industry, so sometimes I get a little little side
- 52:54Speaker 1: hook up the Yeah, that is awesome. My brother once
- 53:01Speaker 1: got when when Matrix was first came out. It was
- 53:05Speaker 1: his favorite movie, and someone hooked him up with Matrix dailies.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Wow Wow, which for those you don't know, is is
- 53:12Speaker 1: is the raw footage's just like not edited together. It's
- 53:14Speaker 1: just like Keanu Reeves doing take after take of of
- 53:17Speaker 1: like waking Up. And I remember what I came him
- 53:20Speaker 1: one day and my brother was just sitting there watching
- 53:21Speaker 1: Matrix daily because he loved the movie so much. He
- 53:26Speaker 1: just wanted to he wanted more. I would watch, he
- 53:30Speaker 1: would watch Star wars Dale. He's don't all of the
- 53:32Speaker 1: cut scenes everything, Sean, what's what else? Is going. What else?
- 53:35Speaker 1: What's your other podcast? Oh, I do a podcast about
- 53:39Speaker 1: stargirls called star Girl After show nice and I worked
- 53:43Speaker 1: on that one, so I figured, you know, I'm friends
- 53:46Speaker 1: with most of the cast, so I may as well
- 53:48Speaker 1: use that. You know, who was on Star Girl Zach
- 53:52Speaker 1: a young lady by the name of Amy Smart. Oh
- 53:54Speaker 1: really you might know her listener as a tasty come
- 53:58Speaker 1: a wife. She is her show, She's on the c W.
- 54:03Speaker 1: It's a brillantee show. H. The Justice Society is in it.
- 54:07Speaker 1: So there's you know, I don't, I don't. I don't
- 54:09Speaker 1: know about the second season. But the first season they
- 54:12Speaker 1: reintroduced a lot of really cool characters like our Man
- 54:16Speaker 1: and uh and who was who was the original star?
- 54:21Speaker 1: Who was star was a star Man originally? Is that
- 54:23Speaker 1: who it was? Yeah? John McHale, Joe mccale. Oh wait, yep,
- 54:30Speaker 1: Joe mccale's on this show as well. Yes, yes, and
- 54:33Speaker 1: and uh Luke Wilson's on the show also, he plays
- 54:37Speaker 1: he plays It's a dynamite star Girl, a young actress
- 54:42Speaker 1: named Breck Passenger. Super amazing. They do shoot in Atlanta.
- 54:47Speaker 1: They shouted right across this from the stage where we
- 54:50Speaker 1: shot Powerpuff Sean, I'm assuming that you are Atlanta based, right, Yes?
- 54:55Speaker 1: I am? And and how did you now? Are you
- 54:57Speaker 1: a prop master? No? I'm graphic designer. Okay, so what
- 55:03Speaker 1: do you? What did you? How did you? And Donald?
- 55:04Speaker 1: Me tell everyone the backstory because I only know that
- 55:07Speaker 1: you gave us this incredible present that we want to
- 55:08Speaker 1: talk about, But I don't know how you guys work
- 55:10Speaker 1: together and what came about. That's how we met. Yeah,
- 55:14Speaker 1: but how how did you? How did you? Were you
- 55:15Speaker 1: working on Powerpuff Girls? Yeah, he's working on He's working
- 55:18Speaker 1: on power Let him tell it. Donald's so, yeah, I
- 55:23Speaker 1: was lucky enough to work on power Puff And I
- 55:26Speaker 1: was like the first person on the crew, like down
- 55:29Speaker 1: below everybody that found out that Donald was going to
- 55:31Speaker 1: be on the show, because I was helping put together
- 55:32Speaker 1: the presentation for the network and they're like, hey, you
- 55:35Speaker 1: gotta you gotta add a picture of Donald faz On
- 55:38Speaker 1: to the professor Paige, and I was like, oh what okay?
- 55:45Speaker 1: And so, uh, you know, I I had in COVID.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I'd sort of fallen behind on this podcast, and so
- 55:53Speaker 1: Donald's coming on the show and I'm like, all right,
- 55:55Speaker 1: I gotta caught up on this, and I'm listening one
- 55:57Speaker 1: day on my way to work and I hear Donald
- 55:59Speaker 1: talking about how much he loves a care package, and
- 56:02Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, I'll put together a care package. Oh
- 56:08Speaker 1: my god, and the care package turned out to be one.
- 56:15Speaker 1: So we gotta we gotta get into this because you
- 56:18Speaker 1: said to me that the key and the button are
- 56:21Speaker 1: actually functional. No, wait, before you get you're going too fast.
- 56:25Speaker 1: We need to remind some people where this started. Donald
- 56:28Speaker 1: and I on one of these episodes talked about our
- 56:30Speaker 1: love of the film War Games, Yes and which is
- 56:34Speaker 1: just that I remember to the amazing movie. I haven't
- 56:36Speaker 1: seen it in a very long time, but one of
- 56:38Speaker 1: the things that always stuck with me was the opening
- 56:40Speaker 1: of the film, which is a bit of a prologue
- 56:42Speaker 1: where two men who are the people in the nuclear
- 56:47Speaker 1: silo that are when they get the message from the
- 56:49Speaker 1: President to launch the nuclear rocket missile, both have to
- 56:55Speaker 1: turn their keys and one of them turns it and
- 56:58Speaker 1: the other guys like panicking, like before I kill X
- 57:01Speaker 1: amount of million people, I want to I want to
- 57:04Speaker 1: get someone on the fun's I mean, he's not doing
- 57:06Speaker 1: what you're supposed to do. He's not following the protocol
- 57:08Speaker 1: because he doesn't want to launch the weapon, and the
- 57:11Speaker 1: other guy pulls out his firearm and he says, turn
- 57:13Speaker 1: your key, sir, turn your key, turn your key, sir, yes,
- 57:18Speaker 1: And it's a really powerful opening. You learn later that
- 57:21Speaker 1: it was a drill to see if human beings could
- 57:23Speaker 1: pass the test to launch a weapon that would kill
- 57:26Speaker 1: millions and millions of people, and he they obviously failed,
- 57:29Speaker 1: and they decided to put make it computerized, which is
- 57:31Speaker 1: the beginning of the movie. So on our show when
- 57:35Speaker 1: we jokingly say when we want to like what is
- 57:37Speaker 1: it for thunderous applause? Or what is it for anything?
- 57:39Speaker 1: Where it's like I want you to turn your key,
- 57:41Speaker 1: turn your keys ac right, turn your key, sir, yes,
- 57:45Speaker 1: and so sure mechanism that looks like, Okay, I didn't.
- 57:51Speaker 1: I didn't make them. You're giving me too much credit there.
- 57:54Speaker 1: But I was like, I bet something like that exists
- 57:56Speaker 1: out there, and I did some searching and I found something,
- 57:58Speaker 1: and uh so I got you these big red buttons
- 58:04Speaker 1: that unlocked with a key and put turn your key
- 58:08Speaker 1: on there. I left off the sir because I didn't
- 58:10Speaker 1: want to leave Joel out. Oh God, you're a thoughtful man.
- 58:15Speaker 1: First of all, I love that you're spending money on
- 58:17Speaker 1: Donald with a care package. Is very thoughtful of you, dude.
- 58:19Speaker 1: There was a lightsaber in there. There was also a lightsaber, Sean,
- 58:23Speaker 1: where did you get the lightsaber? Lightsaber that was handed
- 58:26Speaker 1: down from his father which he then gave to Ray
- 58:30Speaker 1: was in the care package. So that was that was
- 58:35Speaker 1: a lightsaber that um I had for a number of years.
- 58:38Speaker 1: And then I got my hands on a real graflex
- 58:42Speaker 1: uh flash tube you can see behind me right there, yea,
- 58:46Speaker 1: and made like a super super legit one for myself.
- 58:50Speaker 1: And so then, uh, I just I had this spare
- 58:54Speaker 1: lightsaber for quite a while and I never found another man.
- 59:00Speaker 1: It's not fash though. I was saving it to give
- 59:03Speaker 1: it to someone special. So why are I mean? You
- 59:08Speaker 1: seem like a very nice human being? Is you? Are you?
- 59:11Speaker 1: Are you? Are you like this to lots of people
- 59:13Speaker 1: in your life? Or just are you a Donald phaz
- 59:14Speaker 1: and mega fan? It's it's not just Donald phase on,
- 59:18Speaker 1: It's it's both of you, guys. Like I've watched Scrubs
- 59:20Speaker 1: so many times. The show's given me so much joy
- 59:24Speaker 1: over the years, um And here's an example. I was
- 59:28Speaker 1: you know, getting ready for yet another rewatch. When I
- 59:31Speaker 1: heard about this podcast launching, and so I started watching
- 59:35Speaker 1: along with you guys. But by the time you got
- 59:37Speaker 1: to episode five, I was finished the whole thing. Wow. Yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 1: I just can't. We can get you the audience so
- 59:50Speaker 1: you can't see. Sean has a beautiful glass case behind him.
- 59:53Speaker 1: It looks like some treasured props from different films and
- 59:57Speaker 1: TV shows? Am I right? Sean? Yeah? Mostly replicas? Okay, Well,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I feel like we willed to get him something donald
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: for his case. I agree. Man, Well, you know I'm
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: trying to get back into Lucas Film. If I could
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: get something from them, I would send it your way. Uh,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: if the show gets picked up. If the show gets
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: picked up, you'll have all the swag you need from
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: that end of things. I'll sign whatever you want me
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: to sign. I know, we gotta get him something worthy
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: of his dope class case though. Yeah, I agree. Where
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: do you look for replicas, Sean? I mean, I'm gonna
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: knows on the internet in eBay? Right? Is that where
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you find stuff? Yeah? I mean I've been parts of
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: online groups that are just dedicated to this super nerdery
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: um and I make a fair amount of them myself. Um, like,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: here is that the is that the sculpture from Batman
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: the TV show that behind you? Yes? It is? Oh
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: my god, aren't you impressed on? Like? Does it have
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: a button when you lift up the head? It does?
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Oh my god? Is it Shakespeare? It is? It is
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: pressed out. I got all three of those, I mean
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: pressed well done. Pulled that out working puppet from of
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Tom Servo from Mystery Science Theater three thousand. That is dope.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: It's agreement. Yeah, lights up in every lanterning. Oh he
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: doesn't light up. There's a green lantern lit right, Yeah,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: green lantern, green lantern, power battery. Wow. No Joe Jojo
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: helmet that I made designed myself. What's Mojo Jojo from
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Power Girls? So u? Mojo Jojo is the bad guy
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: from Power Okay, no spoilers, guys, no spoilers, But I
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: better fucking pick up this show. I'm gonna call Berlani
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: right now. It call him, call him listen. It seems
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: unlikely that it would, up right, Sean, Let's not go
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: on something that's wooden. Well, Sean is very dialed in,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: it seems to me to the to the Greg Berlany
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Atlanta Universe. Are you Sean Well? I mean, I've worked
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: on two BERLANDI shows. Now, do you feel did you
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: feel a good vibe on this show that it had
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: a shot? Because I do, And I'm just saying that
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: because I love Donald, but I feel like it was
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: a good vibe. Yeah, I mean I don't. I don't
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: think that people really say no to Greg Berlany. And
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: we have an Academy Award winning screenwriter as our writer
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: and showrunner. Yeah. Greg Blaney's kind of like the Spielberg
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: of CW. He's like, you know, no, it's more than
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: a CW. Man, It's more than a CW. I'm not
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: minimizing it by CW, but he is. He has a
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: show on every network pretty much, maybe not ABC right now,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: but there's he has something somewhere somehow. I wonder it's
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: if it's his Northwestern education. You know, they say Northwestern
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: is the Harvard of the Midwest. They do, and I'm
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: not just the only one who says that. I bet you.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Greg Borlany says that himself, I worked one of the
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: first student films I ever worked on was written by
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Greg Berlaney at Northwestern. One of the first movies You
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: were Ever You Ever starred in was directed and written
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: by Greg Berlante as well. And we had the same
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: acting teacher named David Downs. And Um, he came on
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: the show, didn't he. Yes, And he's had spoken of
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: him because in the Wizard of Oz episode he's the
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: man that is losing whose son is ill. Right. Yes,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: you have a great scene with him. Yes, that was
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: really awesome too. That that's your six degrees of Greg
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Brolanty for you. Well, I mean it's it's not very hard.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: He's everywhere. Yea. What do you think his most successful
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: popular show is on on c W ver Riverdale? Is
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: that his Lash the Flash Flash Slash Flash or Arrow? Um?
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: He also had like the Green Lanterns coming out. That's
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: the next one. I think that's on HBO Max. Yeah,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: he's got a bunch of shows on HBO Max actually,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: from Titans to Doom Patrol to now the Green Lantern Show.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Like Greg is I'm sorry, mister Berlante is really think Um, Sean,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: did you um, did you always work in film or
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: or what? How did what's your how did you get
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: into the business. I'm sure people who like graphic design
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and uh, who might want to do what you do?
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: How do you? How did you do it? So? Uh,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I sort of stumbled and fell into it. Um, my
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: wife had gone to art school in Atlanta and we
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: lived in Florida. She wanted to move here, and uh,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: you know, I've been into replicating props and stuff forever.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: And this show Constantine came out on NBC show Yeah,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: and uh there was this weird like art deco record
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: on it that played the devil's voice, and I redesigned
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: the recreated the you know art for it. And then
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I actually like had it pressed into a or that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: played the sounds and everything, and I put it on
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Twitter and I tagged the production designer for the show
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: and he liked it. We got talking on Twitter. When
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: my wife and I came up for a four day
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: trip to Atlanta to look at neighborhoods to maybe move to.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: He said, we'll stop by the studio. He had just
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: lost his graphic designer and he hired me on the spot. WHOA,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: but you made that happen. I mean that's the lesson
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: is that you were like proactive. You tagged him on Twitter?
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: You you you you worked for it, didn't just happen
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, and I, you know, it was something
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: that I loved doing that I just did and I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: put it out there in the world, and I whiteboarded
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: that before I knew what a what white boarding was. Yeah,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: well you made it happen man, And and and so
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: tell people who might not know, like the different tasks
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that a graphic designer has on a show, because you've
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: already mentioned things as as varied as making a you know,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: just a promotional thing that included Donald's picture, to redesigning
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: a prop. Like, what are the different things a graphic
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: designer does on a show. So a graphic designer tends
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: to do anything that has graphics that actually goes in
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: front of a camera. So it's not like on screen
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: graphics like like VFX or anything like that. It's signage.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: It's if someone has a graphic t shirt on hatches
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: for the police, police cars, any kind of props, any
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: prop that needs to be bespoke for the show, and
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: even plenty not right because if you can't show Coca Cola,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: you have to make sort of a Coca Cola like
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: label that isn't too close. You have to know what
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: you're allowed to do right because you can't go too
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: close to the actual product exactly. There's a lot of
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: like knowing what you can get away with through legal
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: with that stuff with fake products, not making them the
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: same color scheme is what they're trying to evoke. Newspapers. Yeah,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff. Um, well, you're one of these.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Sounds like you're one of those people who's lucky enough
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: to be doing something and making a living and something
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: you genuinely love doing. Oh dude, I've wanted to be
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: involved in the movie since I saw et in the
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: theater when I was three. Now sean, Um, we usually
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: do questions, but I think with you do do you do? You? You?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: You kind of a VIP guest because you you know,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: you gave us this amazing present. Do you want to
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: have a question? I want to ask question? Why do
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: you have a question? Do you want us to fix
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: your life? How can we be of service to you
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: for giving us this beautiful present? Um, you know, just
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: just being here and giving me twenty years of scrubs
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: watching is is great. And I have to be honest, Um,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: for the fixer life thing, I was having trouble thinking
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: of any way that you could fix my life because honestly,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: my life is just real great. I'm real happy. Oh
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: my god, you know what I'm gonna hit? Sorry Donald
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: did I did not turn my key, but I will
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: turn Then we have the prop all right, so we
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: don't need to wait wait wait, that actually is something
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: that you can do that would help keep my life fixed. Okay, okay.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: So you may be aware that here in Georgia we
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: have a shit heel of a governor who keeps signing
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: bullshit laws. Yeah. Uh, and what ends up happening is
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: a bunch of people in Hollywood start saying, well, we
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: shouldn't film in Georgia anymore, and you know it doesn't
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: help us. If the film industry leaves Georgia, then you're
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: just taking a whole bunch of Blue voters out of
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: the state. Right after we just flipped the presidency, we
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: just put two Democrats in our Senate. You know, we're
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: on the cusp of like really changing Georgia into a
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: good place. And the governor doing all this only got
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: there because he cheated. So how do you so? So
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying, but what is the Obviously
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: there's people I know Will Smith was one of them
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: who moved his film to Louisiana. What do you say
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: to people that are are upset with with what he's
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: trying to do? Um and and and and don't want to.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying. He's like, don't, don't, don't
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: take the work away. That's not You're going to affect
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: people that are probably on your side, and you're gonna
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: put a lot of people out of work. It's not
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: their fault. But when you're the Will Smiths and of
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: the world, or people who have actually power to move productions,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: what do you say to them? Well, I just say,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: look at what Ryan Coogler said and what Jordan Peel said.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: They said, you stay and fight, you change it. We
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: have Stacy Abrams almost certainly running for governor again next year,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: and she has been pushing U Sign Up initiative for
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: the last four years. She gotten, she's gonna get nominated
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: for the Nobel Peace Prize. She's she's been largely credited
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: with putting Georgia in the Biden column just with her
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: own efforts. And she's gonna keep fighting that fight, and
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: then she's gonna run for governor and we're gonna get
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: rid of this guy, and George is gonna stop passing
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: these stupid laws and everybody can be happy here. But
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: it can't happen if film just shuts down and takes
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: everybody that you know came here from LA that's like
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: minded away. What's I have a question and you might
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: know the answer to or if you don't, danil will,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: what's the thinking behind you're not allowed to bring someone
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: water as they wait online to vote. Oh, it's just
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: straight evil. Yeah, I mean what is the governor? What's
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: the governor's logic? The governor's logic is that it's encouraging
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: people to vote a certain way. Literally, he never gave
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: like a specific reason like they're at least in my
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: like readings, there's never been like a well we don't
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: want to like back up the line, or you know,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: we don't know what's in that water you're giving Like
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: didn't even try to bullshit it. They're just like, you
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: just can't do that. Part of the law. Part of
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the law is that the state can determine how many
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: polling places locality has and how much early voting they
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: have to put them all on an even keel, so
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: that a county with five thousand people can have the
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: same amount of voting resources as Fulton County with ten
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: million people or whatever there are here, And so that
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: creates these giant, super long lines in areas where it's
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: primarily people of color or other likely Democratic voters, and
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: they have to be in line for eight hours, and
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: you can bring them food and water, then they might stay,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: They might stay. Really is as simple as that really is,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: as simple as like, we don't want to encourage them
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: to stay in line. Yeah, I just think it's crazy.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this as a politically as possible, because
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I really just think it's insane to say that any
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: human being in this country who can vote has to
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: wait eight hours to vote. It's just so bizarre that
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: that's an accepted thing. And and I understand how frustrated
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: you would be in in in Georgia, because you'd be like,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: why do certain neighborhoods have no weight and our neighborhood
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: has a fucking nine hour weight? Doesn't making sense? And
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: so you would say, we would say all politics aside,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: let's add more polling places, let's add more drop boxes.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Why is that even a debate? No one should have
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: to wait that long to vote, because then the people
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: that want to, the people that have been cheating to
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: get into office for the longest, can't get into office.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: I know. That's so fu sinister. Any politics of that,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: sinister is that if you do decide to give somebody
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: water in line, you could go to jail for a year, right,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: a full year. Yeah, that does not seem like a
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: good man. All right, so we're man fix your life
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: by not taking our productions out of it. I would
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I would be so so grateful if you guys could
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: just use your voices and say, you know, stay in
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Georgia and fight. Well, Donald did and wherever Ryan Coogler does.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Donald wants to do that as well, because Donald is
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: going to be in Black Panther one day. Listen, Sean.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I have to admit, when I heard about this, I
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: had the same reaction. Not that I was about to
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: make something in Georgia, but I thought to myself, Oh,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Hollywood's going to pull out of this state, because that's
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: it's ridiculous. Um. And then I saw people like Ryan
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Coogler and and and others Stacy Abrams saying no, please, look,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: we're making such progress, don't abandon us. You know, yeah,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: because that's what it is, That's what it turns into. Um,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: you know Smith didn't get your message. Donald, Why don't
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: you call Will Smith and tell him to change his
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Moneyte that down down, Paul Will Smith? Um, Sean, I mean,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry if I made that too political. It's just
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: it's real important to me, and I actually don't I
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: don't even think it needs Everyone will interpret it as political,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: as a democratic republican thing. But I just find it
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: so baffling when you come at it from an innocent
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: point of view. If you just put yourself in a
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: I don't know anything about politics place and go, why
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: do some neighborhoods have more polling places per capita than others?
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Why do you why? Why are you there's an eight
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: hour wait? Why are you taking more away? It just
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: doesn't make any logical sense at all. You're right, and
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: then you go and then you go, wait, wait, wait,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I got an extra something. When people are bringing them
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: water and food, let's put them into that's encouraging them
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: to stay. Let's make it illegal. Let's make it illegal
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: to bring them water. That's some crazy twenty twenty one shit,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: right there. Um, all right, Well, how do we end
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: on a happy note? Guys, Donald say something funny? Uh
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: ass shit ass good night and do do it? Um me, Sean,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: are you gonna watch um Percy Verse Goliath, my new
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: film that's number four on iTunes tonight. Yes, absolutely, thank you? Please?
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Do you must like Christopher Walking? I love Christopher Walking.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Um it's a very good film. It happens to be
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: number four on iTunes. Listeners, please check it out. It
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: was made for eleven cents and uh, it was made
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: for very little money. And the fact that it is
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: um number four on iTunes with no marketing budget is
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: cool and I hope that it continues to do well.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I feel like a lot of that has to do
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: with the people that are in the movie. Well, it's well.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I think everyone loves Christopher Walking. Christina Ricci and I
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: are are the small supporting parts. But it's all about
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Walking and he's just a pleasure to watch. And it's
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: about of very interesting subjects um on Santo, which we
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: won't even begin to try and talk about here, but
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: you'll see it in the movie. Um, Joelle, do you
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: have anything you want to tell the audience? Don't forget

- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Table Reads, I run like a live radio show with
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: all kinds of production. And I I to not understate
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: how much work that you guys must do to make
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: this another podcasts happen like. I don't think people understand
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: the work that goes into that I only need to do.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I only was able to do star Girl After Show
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: because of the COVID shutdown. That's how much time I
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: went into that. If I had to work a job,

- 1:17:37Speaker 1: honor them, you honor me, you honor me. I kept
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: my wet bathing suit on it for strong. Thank you.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I appreciate you. I'm gonna slide it off the second
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: we hang up. Oh my god, please do not. I'm
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: gonna slide it off in a provocative man I'm alone.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: I'm going to try and turn myself on by how
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: slowly I slide it. Oh, I thought you were to
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: do it when we were on. I was about to
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: say do not do it. Oh no, I I will.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I wouldn't do it in front of Joel and Danald,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: but you might actually like it. UM, thank you for listening.
