- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: With Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 2: So all of this drama between Kate Gosselin and her son,
- 0:10Speaker 2: it is kind of getting amped up now with Kate's ex,
- 0:13Speaker 2: John Gosselin, the dad, we all remember him. He is
- 0:17Speaker 2: coming out with a new Netflix documentary about Kate and
- 0:20Speaker 2: the kids, their true upbringing and everything that happened. Josh,
- 0:22Speaker 2: you told us about that yesterday on the Celebrity Quickie.
- 0:26Speaker 2: But now he says that, yeah, in this documentary, he
- 0:29Speaker 2: is going to be completely honest and he really wants
- 0:32Speaker 2: Kate to do the same.
- 0:34Speaker 4: He is publicly speaking out.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Talking directly to Kate, hopefully she sees it, just saying, girl,
- 0:41Speaker 2: it is time.
- 0:42Speaker 4: The jig is up.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Be honest. In fact, he says that she should face
- 0:48Speaker 2: criminal charges for lying about their son Colin's mental state
- 0:52Speaker 2: this whole time.
- 0:54Speaker 4: He said that she needs to stop He's not mentally ill.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I would definitely have grounds to sue Kate for defamation
- 1:00Speaker 2: and libel. I don't even think it's suing. I think
- 1:03Speaker 2: it's just criminal charges. So that's up to the state.
- 1:07Speaker 1: That's crazy, first of all.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Like, I mean, seriously, as a mother, how do you
- 1:12Speaker 3: lie about your child?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Allegedly. To just try to make yourself look better. Yeah. Like,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you carried that kid. Like, you brought this child into
- 1:20Speaker 1: the world.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:21Speaker 3: And now you're going out on socials. If this is
- 1:25Speaker 3: all not true, defaming your child.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Even him now, you know, going through what he went
- 1:30Speaker 2: through and going through these mental hospital facilities and everything.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And for her to go on X or whatever social
- 1:37Speaker 2: media platform to be like, he's mentally ill. Yet you
- 1:41Speaker 2: don't talk to this grown man who is your son now.
- 1:44Speaker 4: You don't talk to him.
- 1:45Speaker 2: You haven't talked to him. You don't know him, essentially, anymore.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But for her to even say it now, that is
- 1:51Speaker 2: pretty crazy. And I think it's grounds to sue.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, absolutely.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Defamation is real. It happens all the time in court cases.
- 1:59Speaker 3: It's just such a shame if it comes from your kin,
- 2:02Speaker 3: your own mother.
- 2:03Speaker 1: That's just wild to me. I don't know. That part. Whatever.
- 2:06Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Well, hey, Prince William and Prince Harry were in the news.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You talked yesterday about Prince Harry, he is moving back
- 2:12Speaker 3: to the UK, and it's still a.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Little hot water over there, if you will.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Well, Prince William has come out and said he has
- 2:19Speaker 3: no intention of reconciling with his brother, Prince Harry, at all.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Sources close to the air told Mirror, William remains deeply
- 2:28Speaker 3: hurt over many things Harry said about the family. Harry,
- 2:33Speaker 3: like I said, recently moved back. He did tell GQ
- 2:35Speaker 3: the other day he wants to work out this rift.
- 2:38Speaker 3: He says, Some people, this is quotes, some people don't
- 2:41Speaker 3: want it to work out. However, I want it to
- 2:43Speaker 3: work out. William has... zero intention. And of course he
- 2:47Speaker 3: wants to work out. I said it the other day.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Bruh's got no money. He needs that throne money. He
- 2:53Speaker 3: needs that again. He's like, let's go back. I am
- 2:56Speaker 3: so sorry.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You're right. I'm wrong. You're pretty. I'm ugly. He wants
- 2:59Speaker 1: to do all that. And William is like, dude, I
- 3:01Speaker 1: see right through you.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I really do. The drama for real.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It's royal drama. Like I'm actually here for this. I
- 3:08Speaker 1: like this.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Well, we'll keep track of it, and we'll keep you
- 3:12Speaker 2: up to date on your celebrity quickie. And there's so
- 3:15Speaker 2: much going on this weekend. Of course, today is Friday.
- 3:17Speaker 2: We finally made it to Friday. Thank goodness.
- 3:20Speaker 4: But lots on the agenda this weekend.
- 3:23Speaker 2: If you need to add some stuff onto your agenda,
- 3:26Speaker 2: you're looking for stuff to do, Josh and I, we've
- 3:28Speaker 2: got you covered with.
- 3:29Speaker 4: The Den 10. Find that at Mix100.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Com because there is so much happening for Halloween, fall activities.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Just all sorts of stuff.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So if you're bored finding yourself just like needing something
- 3:42Speaker 2: to do, get out there because there's plenty. Yeah. And
- 3:46Speaker 2: this weekend, Josh, actually tonight, you're going to go celebrate
- 3:49Speaker 2: and you're going to Casa Bonita.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Heck yeah, I am. You know what?
- 3:54Speaker 3: I took a page out of the Denton. I saw
- 3:56Speaker 3: it on there because it's happening all the way until October,
- 3:59Speaker 3: the end of October.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And I have not been back to Casa Bonita since
- 4:04Speaker 3: they revamped it. Trey Parker, Matt Stone, you know, they
- 4:07Speaker 3: bought it a couple years ago and revamped the entire thing.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I went.
- 4:11Speaker 3: For a massive birthday party. And I cannot remember if
- 4:14Speaker 3: it was like a 12th or 11th birthday party that
- 4:17Speaker 3: my friend had there. And it was so much fun.
- 4:19Speaker 3: As a child, you're like, this is the coolest thing.
- 4:23Speaker 3: It is.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's awesome.
- 4:24Speaker 3: And it really does look like every single scene out
- 4:27Speaker 3: of South Park.
- 4:28Speaker 1: You're like, this is... what South Park has made it
- 4:30Speaker 1: up to be.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That episode, they did a really good job just kind
- 4:34Speaker 2: of capturing what Casa Bonita was to a lot of
- 4:36Speaker 2: kids growing up in Colorado.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And back in its glory days. But yeah, you know,
- 4:41Speaker 2: after a couple years, things get run down. And then unfortunately,
- 4:45Speaker 2: 2020 really shut it down. But then, yeah, the South
- 4:48Speaker 2: Park guys, they bought it. Did you see the documentary
- 4:50Speaker 2: that they came out with?
- 4:51Speaker 1: No, I never watched that. You never watched it? And
- 4:53Speaker 1: I totally should have. But I love Trey Parker and
- 4:54Speaker 1: Matt Stone. They're hilarious. I love... The show that, you know,
- 4:58Speaker 1: South Park is iconic now.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Of course.
- 4:59Speaker 1: It really is. So I have not been back since
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's been all revamped and renovated. And I'm ready.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I'm just hoping and praying that, A, the food doesn't
- 5:08Speaker 3: kill me. And, B, they still have the sopapillas because
- 5:12Speaker 3: that's obviously what they're famous for.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:14Speaker 3: And then I want to see how they've turned it
- 5:16Speaker 3: into Casa Bonita. Because I've heard there's a bunch of
- 5:20Speaker 3: new spooky Halloween things. stuff there that I want to
- 5:24Speaker 3: go take a look at.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So they kind of, I've seen it only on social media.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I've gone to the newly opened Casa Bonita a few times,
- 5:32Speaker 2: but I've never been to the Halloween version Casa Bonita.
- 5:37Speaker 4: And it's very like Dia de los Muertos themed.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Oh, sick.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I've heard with all the flowers.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Because, you know, of course, at the end of the day,
- 5:43Speaker 2: it is a Mexican restaurant. So they took a page
- 5:46Speaker 2: from that. And I've heard the inside just has marigolds
- 5:49Speaker 2: everywhere and has really cool decorations. And, of course, they
- 5:53Speaker 2: have to add in those little South Park tidbits here
- 5:56Speaker 2: and there as well.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Obviously, yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And I am so jealous because I know you haven't
- 6:00Speaker 2: been there yet, Josh.
- 6:01Speaker 4: But they do have a little, like, Cartman statue. You
- 6:04Speaker 4: have to go find that. Do a little photo op.
- 6:07Speaker 2: But they also, for Casa Buonita, it's not normally there.
- 6:11Speaker 4: They have another little statue.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Of Asimo, which is the cardboard robot that Cartman was
- 6:17Speaker 2: dressed up in.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, where he tricks butters.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 6:21Speaker 2: So you have to find Asimo for me when you
- 6:23Speaker 2: go tonight.
- 6:24Speaker 1: All right. So I'll do that for sure.
- 6:25Speaker 3: And then, okay, let me correct me if I'm wrong,
- 6:27Speaker 3: but I think I remember, again, this has been almost,
- 6:30Speaker 3: probably almost 20 years since I've been there. Yeah. Didn't
- 6:33Speaker 3: they have that haunted, kind of scary cave?
- 6:37Speaker 4: It was Black Bart's cave.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Thank you. Okay, is that still here? Do you know?
- 6:42Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And they did a really great job with it.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Good, because I remember back in the day, I was
- 6:47Speaker 3: very scared to go through that. And I was like, Mom, Dad,
- 6:50Speaker 3: hold my hand. I'm not doing this alone. So that's cool.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I want to be scared again from that. And then
- 6:56Speaker 3: do they still have the gorilla guy that runs around?
- 6:58Speaker 2: They do.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Do they?
- 7:00Speaker 2: They do. They kind of changed up the gorilla mascot,
- 7:04Speaker 2: because I know the original was a gorilla. And they
- 7:07Speaker 2: do have the original gorilla mask display in a little box.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Almost like history museum.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Section of it. Yeah, for sure.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And they have the OG mask that is on display there.
- 7:17Speaker 2: But the new version of the gorilla is actually a
- 7:21Speaker 2: South Park character come to life.
- 7:22Speaker 1: No way.
- 7:23Speaker 4: It's ManBearPig.
- 7:25Speaker 1: That's the greatest thing I've ever heard.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I did not know that.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:29Speaker 3: I actually like that they did that because I was
- 7:30Speaker 3: going to say I'm kind of bummed if they're not
- 7:32Speaker 3: doing the original gorilla guy.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yeah. That's what I want to see. Right. But if
- 7:35Speaker 1: it's ManBearPig.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's not the OG, but they did switch it up
- 7:38Speaker 2: just a little bit with ManBearPig.
- 7:40Speaker 1: All right. I can deal with that. That's neat.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 7:42Speaker 1: So I'm going to see Osmo, ManBearPig. I got to
- 7:44Speaker 1: do the cave.
- 7:46Speaker 2: You have to do the puppet show. You have to
- 7:49Speaker 2: do the puppet show. The puppet show is probably one
- 7:52Speaker 2: of my favorite things there. Of course, they have the
- 7:54Speaker 2: magic show is really cool, too. If you are going
- 7:57Speaker 2: to get in line for the magic show, try to
- 7:58Speaker 2: get there early because the further back you sit, it's
- 8:02Speaker 2: kind of hard to see.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 4: These are my tips and tricks for.
- 8:06Speaker 3: You right now.
- 8:06Speaker 1: No, that's good. I'll get there early. I'll be the
- 8:07Speaker 1: man in the front row. That's awesome. I'll be with
- 8:09Speaker 1: all the little kids. That's great.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But listen, if you skip the magic show for whatever reason,
- 8:14Speaker 2: it's okay. Definitely try to see it, but you have
- 8:17Speaker 2: to see the puppet show.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Okay, so is the puppet show like South Park characters
- 8:20Speaker 1: this time? No, no, no.
- 8:22Speaker 4: It's not.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I don't even want to tell you what it is.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I'm not going to tell you what it is.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I'm not going to tell you what the characters are.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm not going to tell you what it is, but
- 8:29Speaker 2: it is really funny. The puppet show, you have to see.
- 8:31Speaker 1: The puppet show.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Okay, and then I just have to make sure, because
- 8:33Speaker 3: I know it's all South Parked out, but they still
- 8:35Speaker 3: have the cliff divers, right?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Okay, thank God.
- 8:37Speaker 4: And the cliff divers are doing their thing.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Shout out to all the Casa Bonita cliff divers because
- 8:42Speaker 2: it is really, really cool.
- 8:45Speaker 4: It's constant.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It's every, what, 15, 20 minutes or whatever. But they
- 8:48Speaker 2: do a good job with the show, and it's still
- 8:50Speaker 2: kind of funny. And I don't know. They just did
- 8:53Speaker 2: a really good job with the whole revamping.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Of Casa Bonita.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Okay, that got me excited then because I remembered as
- 8:59Speaker 3: a kid and I was excited, but I'm like, is
- 9:01Speaker 3: the magic going to live on?
- 9:03Speaker 4: Oh, I think so.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I think they did a great job with it.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I personally am a fan of everything that they did
- 9:09Speaker 2: to fix up Casa Bonita. I know that Trey Parker,
- 9:13Speaker 2: Matt Stone, those guys lost a lot of money in
- 9:15Speaker 2: renovating Casa Bonita.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like, hey, it cost way more than we
- 9:20Speaker 3: thought it was going to.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Sorry, guys, but thank you. It needed it.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Etsy, it's always been a place for creators to showcase
- 9:29Speaker 2: their art, their handmade items.
- 9:31Speaker 4: They sell them to anyone in the world that wants them.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I love Etsy.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Etsy's so great for that.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Avid user over here. Avid.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Same. Same. But then AI came around.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah. And artists say that their sales have gone down
- 9:45Speaker 2: significantly since AI items have flooded the market on Etsy.
- 9:50Speaker 2: And consumers like you and I, Josh, they say it's
- 9:53Speaker 2: even really hard to.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Figure out what is AI and what is real.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It is. And I don't like that. Like you.
- 10:00Speaker 3: The funniest thing is you see on Facebook Marketplace too,
- 10:03Speaker 3: AI is everywhere.
- 10:04Speaker 1: It's everywhere.
- 10:05Speaker 3: And there's people that use it on there to sell
- 10:07Speaker 3: their things. It'll be like a DeVay cover or whatever,
- 10:10Speaker 3: whatever you want to sell. And then they put an
- 10:12Speaker 3: AI sexy girl in there so it catches your attention.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You're like, what is for sale here? What's going on?
- 10:17Speaker 1: And it's just the AI slop Yeah. Needs to stop.
- 10:20Speaker 4: It's really bad.
- 10:21Speaker 3: And the fact that it is now hurting the artists
- 10:24Speaker 3: that put really, really good work out there.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Right.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Really breaks my heart. I do not like that. Truly.
- 10:29Speaker 2: So it breaks your heart. It breaks my heart and
- 10:31Speaker 2: everyone else as well. And complaints have finally gotten to
- 10:34Speaker 2: a high enough level that Etsy is catching up And
- 10:38Speaker 2: they have updated the listing requirements for sellers to disclose
- 10:42Speaker 2: when AI is used to create an item in the
- 10:46Speaker 2: background of a photo or whatever. That way the consumer
- 10:50Speaker 2: will be able to tell if it's truly handmade or
- 10:53Speaker 2: just AI.
- 10:54Speaker 1: It'll have a.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Little label on there.
- 10:55Speaker 2: And then those creators, those artists who are making actual items,
- 10:59Speaker 2: handmade items, they have a better chance at actually selling
- 11:03Speaker 2: their stuff.
- 11:04Speaker 1: See, and I love that. I mean, TikTok does it.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Facebook does it for videos.
- 11:07Speaker 3: When something is AI created, there is now a little
- 11:10Speaker 3: watermark that is like, hey, this is AI generated. Because look,
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'm not even the older generation in quotations, if you will. Yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 1: And I am getting duped by these AI things.
- 11:20Speaker 4: It's getting harder every day.
- 11:22Speaker 3: You need to be able to have some kind of
- 11:24Speaker 3: separating factor there. So the fact that they're doing that
- 11:27Speaker 3: is really good and that should help the artists there.
- 11:29Speaker 1: It should.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Totally.
- 11:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Well, this is unbelievable and one of the best news
- 11:34Speaker 3: I've seen all day. Yesterday, a 27-year-old Minnesota man is
- 11:40Speaker 3: now being hailed as a hero, Nina, because he stopped
- 11:43Speaker 3: a runaway bus carrying 20 kids on board, literally saving
- 11:48Speaker 3: their lives.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I love this.
- 11:50Speaker 3: So Ibro Ahmed, who is in St. Paul, Minnesota, spotted
- 11:54Speaker 3: a yellow school bus with its door wide open, and
- 11:57Speaker 3: it looked like the driver was was having a seizure.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 12:01Speaker 3: As that was going on, the surveillance camera from across
- 12:04Speaker 3: the street caught Ahmed sprinting towards the moving bus, jumped
- 12:08Speaker 3: on board. He accidentally ended up putting it in reverse,
- 12:11Speaker 3: but he did pull that emergency brake, pulled the emergency brake,
- 12:15Speaker 3: stopped the bus, and then called for help on 911
- 12:19Speaker 3: and calmed all the screaming children, by the way.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 12:22Speaker 1: 20 kids. He saved their lives.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And the funniest part about this He credits Grey's Anatomy
- 12:27Speaker 3: that he watches almost nightly for teaching him how to
- 12:29Speaker 3: stay calm and composed during high pressure situations.
- 12:32Speaker 2: No way.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Love this. First of all, and I love what he
- 12:35Speaker 3: says too. This was so cute. He told ABC News,
- 12:38Speaker 3: he goes, hey, you know what? Even if I were
- 12:39Speaker 3: to die, saving these kids would have still been worth it.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Love this guy.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I'm going to cry.
- 12:45Speaker 1: What is happening?
- 12:46Speaker 3: So the school district did confirm that the bus driver
- 12:49Speaker 3: did have a medical issue. The bus driver's okay. No
- 12:53Speaker 3: one was hurt, all because of this man, Ebro. It
- 12:55Speaker 3: was unbelievable. And the security footage is everywhere. That's amazing.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Google it, look it up. What he did was nothing
- 13:02Speaker 3: short of heroic.
- 13:03Speaker 2: No, for real.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Heroes are still among us in our everyday lives.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Seriously, yeah. They don't wear capes. What is that? Yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 1: heroes don't wear capes.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So congrats to you, man.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Wow. All right, the third thing you need to know today,
- 13:15Speaker 2: this neighborhood in Ken Carroll has a rat problem, and
- 13:19Speaker 2: a neighbor may be to blame. Someone is trying to
- 13:22Speaker 2: channel their best Snow White to feed the birds in
- 13:25Speaker 2: the neighborhood. They're putting bird seed on the sidewalks, but
- 13:29Speaker 2: the birds, they're not touching it. rats are rats have
- 13:33Speaker 2: found this bird seed it is uh all you can
- 13:37Speaker 2: eat buffet for them and now it has created a
- 13:39Speaker 2: major rat problem so they're in garages they're in your
- 13:43Speaker 2: grill they're in people's houses people are not wanting to
- 13:47Speaker 2: touch anything do anything in this entire neighborhood because so
- 13:50Speaker 2: many rats are are everywhere.
- 13:52Speaker 3: And I don't think we understand how big rats are
- 13:56Speaker 3: like these are not mice like I'll never forget I
- 13:58Speaker 3: was in New York and I had not seen a
- 14:00Speaker 3: real live rat in my life and as we were
- 14:03Speaker 3: walking through the under streets of New York.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The subway oh my lord rats are huge.
- 14:09Speaker 4: They are they're big and juicy There you go.
- 14:13Speaker 1: That's one way to describe it.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Good morning. The neighbors that are suspected of placing the
- 14:19Speaker 2: bird seed, they are being asked to stop, but they haven't.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I don't know what the deal is. So this honestly
- 14:26Speaker 2: kind of like, This, for me, is like a real
- 14:28Speaker 2: life what's the drama right now.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Like, what do you do if this was your neighbor?
- 14:32Speaker 2: You're asking them already to stop. You're knocking on their door.
- 14:35Speaker 2: You've asked them politely. Police can only do so much.
- 14:39Speaker 4: They've been called. They've tried to intervene, but they can't
- 14:42Speaker 4: intervene too much.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Can you not arrest them for bringing... like harmful waste
- 14:47Speaker 3: to the community? I mean, rats carry a lot of
- 14:49Speaker 3: disgusting things with them.
- 14:51Speaker 2: They do, but it's not like they're putting rat food
- 14:54Speaker 2: out there.
- 14:55Speaker 4: It's for birds.
- 14:56Speaker 1: On the sidewalk?
- 14:57Speaker 4: It's for birds. It's bird seed.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I hate these neighbors.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So I kind of am curious, like, what would you do?
- 15:04Speaker 4: Would you take matters into your own hands? Do you
- 15:07Speaker 4: just continue to.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Try to work with the police about it? This is
- 15:11Speaker 2: kind of our own what's the drama right now. And
- 15:14Speaker 2: so I would love to hear from you.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Text us. Call us. 303-691-1MIX.
- 15:20Speaker 2: We're kind of doing a what's the drama drama. If
- 15:23Speaker 2: this was your neighbor feeding birds, but really it's bringing
- 15:27Speaker 2: in a rat problem and they won't stop.
- 15:29Speaker 4: What do you do about it?
- 15:30Speaker 3: Well, yeah, and this is in our backyard. Ken Carroll's, what, 15,
- 15:34Speaker 3: 20 minutes away from us right here. Really nice neighborhood.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 15:37Speaker 3: It's a very real Colorado problem right now. So, yeah, 303-691-1649.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Let us know what you would do. I don't know
- 15:43Speaker 3: how to handle that.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I don't either. So call us and we would love
- 15:46Speaker 2: to talk about it. We'll talk about it right after
- 15:48Speaker 2: 7 o'clock on Mix 100. So normally I feel a
- 15:52Speaker 2: different haircut for a lot of women. It happens at
- 15:55Speaker 2: the beginning of summer because it's summertime.
- 15:57Speaker 4: It's a new season. We're excited about it. So, like,
- 16:00Speaker 4: let's change things up.
- 16:01Speaker 2: But fall is also the perfect time for a couple
- 16:04Speaker 2: of our favorite pop stars who chopped off all their hair.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I'm talking Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they both cut their hair into very short chin-length bobs. Honestly,
- 16:22Speaker 2: it looks real cute. They both posted yesterday on Insta.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I don't know if those two are friends or not.
- 16:27Speaker 2: In Hollywood, it's such a close-knit thing, but at the
- 16:29Speaker 2: same time, some people just don't cross paths.
- 16:32Speaker 1: No.
- 16:32Speaker 4: And so Billie Eilish.
- 16:33Speaker 2: And Ariana Grande, I don't know that I've ever necessarily
- 16:36Speaker 2: seen them together, but I don't know that they, you know,
- 16:40Speaker 2: coordinated this, but they both chopped off their hair at
- 16:42Speaker 2: the same time and posted photos yesterday.
- 16:45Speaker 4: They look cute.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Billie went like almost strawberry blonde hair.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Well, I think that's her natural hair color.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Oh, is that her natural? Okay, sorry. I mean, I'm
- 16:52Speaker 1: used to seeing Billie with like the bright green and
- 16:54Speaker 1: black hair.
- 16:55Speaker 2: No, I know.
- 16:56Speaker 1: That's not her natural hair color?
- 16:57Speaker 2: No, green is not her natural hair color.
- 16:59Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 17:00Speaker 2: But you know what? Josh, you're always coming up with
- 17:02Speaker 2: these terrible dad jokes, and I came up with one.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Did you? I did.
- 17:07Speaker 4: You're going to be so proud.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm so proud. Hold on.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Billie Eilish got a Billy Bob.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Yeah! That is the perfect dad joke.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I love it.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 17:19Speaker 4: She got a bob length hairstyle.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You make my heart happy.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Oh, you're welcome. And then RIP to Ariana Grande's ponytail.
- 17:25Speaker 2: A lot of her fans are kind of distraught because
- 17:28Speaker 2: the ponytail is so iconic.
- 17:29Speaker 1: It is.
- 17:30Speaker 3: But I will say in this photo that I'm looking at,
- 17:33Speaker 3: not only does her hair, her hair looks good. She
- 17:35Speaker 3: also looks to me the healthiest she's looked in a
- 17:37Speaker 3: very long time.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Which is really good.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And I think it's because she is in the middle
- 17:41Speaker 2: of taking that break right now.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Good. That's the thing. These artists literally work themselves to
- 17:46Speaker 1: the bone.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I like her haircut. I think it looks good.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I think they both look great.
- 17:50Speaker 3: So good for them. She's kind of given like 1950s
- 17:52Speaker 3: Bob there a little bit.
- 17:55Speaker 2: She's done that before on whichever album cover too. So
- 17:58Speaker 2: Ariana Grande can rock that.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I like it.
- 18:00Speaker 3: All right. Well, hey, this is exciting for me and
- 18:02Speaker 3: a lot of other people. I am a huge fan
- 18:05Speaker 3: of the 007 franchise and the final screen tests. for
- 18:09Speaker 3: the next James Bond are happening this week. So we
- 18:12Speaker 3: should have a James Bond announced real soon. I know
- 18:15Speaker 3: the finalists were announced. Callum Turner, Jack Loudon are both
- 18:19Speaker 3: believed to be among the last candidates that are going
- 18:22Speaker 3: to be.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Callum Turner, I believe, is married to Dua Lipa.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Yes. Right? Yes.
- 18:25Speaker 1: They just got married.
- 18:26Speaker 3: By the way, one of the best looking couples of
- 18:27Speaker 3: all time. But he's also a great looking dude. I
- 18:29Speaker 3: think he would fit this very, very well.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Totally.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Director Dennis Villanueva, I hope I'm saying that correctly, is
- 18:37Speaker 3: attached at the helm to the new Amazon MGM 007 film.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I'm so excited for this.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Unfortunately, they did not announce the timeline for when they're
- 18:45Speaker 3: going to start releasing these movies just yet.
- 18:48Speaker 1: They still got to pick a guy, so I understand.
- 18:50Speaker 1: The decision is going to be made by the end
- 18:52Speaker 1: of this year, though. Okay. So I'm very excited.
- 18:54Speaker 3: We'll keep you up to date on who is going
- 18:57Speaker 3: to be the new 007. Turner was asked the other
- 19:01Speaker 3: day about what Going on with it, and Turner offered
- 19:04Speaker 3: a very sly smirk and said, not going to comment
- 19:08Speaker 3: on it yet.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Ooh, which is so James Bond.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Right, thank you.
- 19:11Speaker 4: With that little smirk.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Right afterwards, he said, and shaken, not stirred. Thank you
- 19:14Speaker 1: very much. I love it.
- 19:15Speaker 3: He is such a Bond-esque dude. He's got the height.
- 19:18Speaker 3: He's got the look.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Totally.
- 19:19Speaker 3: And he's also been rocking a white suit lately, and
- 19:21Speaker 3: I'm like, that's like the iconic 007 look. So I
- 19:25Speaker 3: don't know if he's doing like a Taylor Swift kind.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Of Easter egg there, but.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yeah, he might be.
- 19:30Speaker 2: And if he does get the role and end up
- 19:32Speaker 2: being the next James Bond, you know, Dua Lipa is
- 19:35Speaker 2: 100% going to be on that soundtrack and maybe in
- 19:38Speaker 2: that movie.
- 19:39Speaker 4: She's done a lot of acting.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Make her one of the Bond girls. Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 1: That's okay. Well, that's okay.
- 19:43Speaker 2: You're like done deal.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Set in stone. Thank you. Now we get 10% of
- 19:45Speaker 1: the cut because we just decided.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Write it out to Nina and Josh. We'll take a check.
- 19:49Speaker 2: There you go.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Go.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Real Housewives Brandy, she's finally getting that fungal ball removed
- 19:55Speaker 2: from her face. Dude. So it's been a couple years
- 19:59Speaker 2: that she's been dealing with this. It's an infection that
- 20:02Speaker 2: came from her breast implant and it caused this fungal
- 20:05Speaker 2: infection to go up into her face eventually forming a
- 20:09Speaker 2: ball-like growth on the side of her chin, and it
- 20:13Speaker 2: is filled with all sorts of nasty stuff that I
- 20:15Speaker 2: can't even think about. But after months of expensive treatments,
- 20:19Speaker 2: she's finally able to get it removed, and that's going
- 20:22Speaker 2: to be happening in the next few days. Afterwards, she
- 20:25Speaker 2: is going to need more treatments to make sure that
- 20:27Speaker 2: it doesn't come back, because at the end of the day,
- 20:29Speaker 2: it is a fungal infection, which is real hard to
- 20:33Speaker 2: fully get rid of. Um.
- 20:35Speaker 3: So you showed me this. You brought this to my attention.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I had no idea this was going on. And first
- 20:39Speaker 3: of all, I'm sure dealing with this has been hellish
- 20:42Speaker 3: for her. So I'm so sorry that she has. Nina,
- 20:45Speaker 3: that is one of the grossest things I've ever seen.
- 20:48Speaker 3: When they kind of stretch the skin around it and
- 20:51Speaker 3: you can like move.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm not kidding. I almost gagged.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I was like, okay, what is that? It's like a
- 20:55Speaker 4: golf ball sized thing.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Lump.
- 20:58Speaker 2: On the side of her chin and it's filled with
- 21:00Speaker 2: this fungal infection and oh i'm sorry i know i
- 21:03Speaker 2: know i know i can't do it i just got
- 21:05Speaker 2: the shivers sorry i know look and.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Like we're talking about it as if it's so gross
- 21:09Speaker 3: and like she's been dealing with this.
- 21:10Speaker 2: For years now i do feel for her it has
- 21:12Speaker 2: been a few years since it first started and it's
- 21:15Speaker 2: it's grown to this so she's finally able to get
- 21:17Speaker 2: it removed i'm sure she is so relieved um that
- 21:21Speaker 2: this whole saga is nearly.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Over yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Good. You know what? Get it and never look back.
- 21:27Speaker 3: No.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Holy cow.
- 21:28Speaker 2: No, don't. Three things you need to know before you
- 21:30Speaker 2: go into the office today. Like the Colorado Mammoth, they
- 21:32Speaker 2: are getting ready for a new season to start in December,
- 21:36Speaker 2: and they have some new jerseys to go along with it.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Heck yeah, they're getting new gear.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Yeah, they showed off the new uniforms, and they're really,
- 21:44Speaker 4: really cool.
- 21:44Speaker 2: They are keeping the team's burgundy and white jersey bases,
- 21:48Speaker 2: of course. But they added this mountain range with a
- 21:51Speaker 2: little Rocky Mountain tree line on it, and the mountain
- 21:54Speaker 2: is really cool.
- 21:56Speaker 4: It's kind of like dotted throughout the jersey.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah, polka dots.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not just polka dots.
- 22:01Speaker 4: It looks really cool.
- 22:02Speaker 2: It's almost like geometric almost. It looks like a schematic
- 22:05Speaker 2: of some sort.
- 22:06Speaker 1: It totally does. You know what's funny?
- 22:07Speaker 3: When I first saw them, just because of the way
- 22:10Speaker 3: we're living now, I was like, oh, it looks like
- 22:11Speaker 3: a drone show, mountains.
- 22:13Speaker 1: That's what it looks like, right? Like, really, really cool.
- 22:17Speaker 4: It is really cool.
- 22:18Speaker 2: I didn't even think about that.
- 22:18Speaker 3: It looks like a topographical map a little bit. That's
- 22:20Speaker 3: kind of what I think they were going for. It
- 22:22Speaker 3: looks like it shows the elevation and stuff of the mountains. Yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 1: It looks really cool. But the very first second I
- 22:27Speaker 1: saw it, I was like, oh, drone show. That's awesome.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 22:30Speaker 2: That's hilarious. That's the mindset of 2026 right there.
- 22:33Speaker 1: That's what they should call them, the drone show jerseys.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I love it. I like it.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Uh, props to our Colorado mammoth.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Their, their season, it starts up in December, but yeah,
- 22:42Speaker 2: these new jerseys, they just unveiled them and they're looking
- 22:45Speaker 2: good boys. Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Look good. Play good.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Right. And you know what I will say about the mammoth.
- 22:49Speaker 3: They are a really, really good lacrosse team. Like tops
- 22:54Speaker 3: in the league for years now, honestly, like last year,
- 22:57Speaker 3: they lost in the playoffs due to a very odd
- 23:01Speaker 3: situation where the league came out the next day and said,
- 23:04Speaker 3: that goal that put them out of the playoffs should
- 23:07Speaker 3: not have been a goal. I know, so it's like
- 23:09Speaker 3: they apologize. I'm like, well, then let them redo it.
- 23:11Speaker 2: What is that? This year's got to be redemption.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Yes, high, high hopes for the Colorado Mammoth when they
- 23:17Speaker 3: start the season up. Nina, I have reported on AI,
- 23:20Speaker 3: I think, three separate times this week because we just
- 23:24Speaker 3: cannot get it out of our heads. There's a new
- 23:25Speaker 3: research survey of 2,000-plus Americans, and they have found that
- 23:29Speaker 3: nearly 70% of people are now purchasing from a certain
- 23:32Speaker 3: brand that that they first learned about through AI. Oh.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I don't like this.
- 23:37Speaker 3: 7 in 10 people discovered a new brand via AI,
- 23:41Speaker 3: and of those 70%, 90% of those people went on
- 23:45Speaker 3: to make a purchase, and guess who's leading the charge?
- 23:47Speaker 1: It is Gen Z. They love AI.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Oh, man. What's interesting, though, is it also de-influences people.
- 23:54Speaker 3: So if you see an ad that you love through AI,
- 23:57Speaker 3: you're more than likely going to buy it. Really?
- 23:59Speaker 1: It's 90% of those, at least Gen Z people, are
- 24:02Speaker 1: buying it.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Okay. That being said, it de-influences as well. So about
- 24:06Speaker 3: 70% of those people will see a brand after an
- 24:09Speaker 3: AI interaction that is negative, and they won't be buying it.
- 24:12Speaker 3: And AI is getting so powerful, Nina. It ranks as
- 24:16Speaker 3: close to when family or friends give customer reviews of
- 24:21Speaker 3: a purchase online. So you are now listening to AI. Essentially,
- 24:25Speaker 3: it's just a little bit lower, as much as your
- 24:27Speaker 3: mom saying, oh, you know what? I don't shop there anymore.
- 24:29Speaker 3: I don't like that brand. Wow. I know.
- 24:32Speaker 1: It's insane. I don't like the power that it's getting.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I know.
- 24:35Speaker 3: And then they go on to say nearly half of
- 24:37Speaker 3: all AI users consult it several times a week for
- 24:40Speaker 3: buying decisions. Oh. Which I feel like we're just using
- 24:43Speaker 3: it for everything now. Buying, hey, you know what? My
- 24:45Speaker 3: back's been hurting. You're going to that instead of the
- 24:47Speaker 3: doctor now.
- 24:48Speaker 2: It's turning to the new Google where you just run
- 24:50Speaker 2: to chat or AI, whatever you have, for whatever question.
- 24:55Speaker 2: But like you said, for the doctor thing, that's not good.
- 24:58Speaker 2: But a lot of people are doing it.
- 24:59Speaker 3: I learned years ago not to do the Google thing
- 25:01Speaker 3: because if you have slight back pain, WebMD will tell
- 25:04Speaker 3: you that you should have died four days ago.
- 25:05Speaker 1: So I will never do that again.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 25:10Speaker 4: We got to back off that AI, though.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 25:12Speaker 4: And the city of Denver is fighting with Vio.
- 25:15Speaker 2: So Vio took over the Lime scooter contracts, and we
- 25:19Speaker 2: have those black and blue scooters now. And since they've
- 25:21Speaker 2: got here, they've essentially been scamming us. Denver wanted to
- 25:25Speaker 2: use them because they said that they have the technology
- 25:28Speaker 2: available for making sure that riders park and ride them
- 25:31Speaker 2: off of sidewalks, which has caused a lot of problems
- 25:34Speaker 2: with people who are walking, the pedestrians. And so Denver said,
- 25:38Speaker 2: heck yeah, let's do it. They signed them. They were delivered.
- 25:41Speaker 2: We started using them. And immediately we still had those
- 25:45Speaker 2: parking problems on sidewalks and riders still on the sidewalks.
- 25:49Speaker 2: And the city of Denver was like, hey, Vio, what's
- 25:51Speaker 2: going on? You said you had the technology. And Vio said, yeah,
- 25:54Speaker 2: we have it. But that doesn't mean we have to
- 25:56Speaker 2: use it. So over the summer, the city was fighting
- 26:01Speaker 2: with Vio. And the lawyers pointed out that, yes, you
- 26:04Speaker 2: do have to keep up your end of the bargain.
- 26:06Speaker 4: It's in the contract. Stop playing with us.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Yeah, what?
- 26:10Speaker 2: And so VO is finally going to be working with
- 26:14Speaker 2: the city of Denver for this enforcement process to put
- 26:17Speaker 2: forward the technology to keep riders off of the sidewalk
- 26:20Speaker 2: starting November 1st. And it could be anything from if
- 26:25Speaker 2: you're riding on the sidewalk, all of a sudden your
- 26:28Speaker 2: scooter just stops. It won't let you go because it
- 26:31Speaker 2: has that technology to detect if you're on the.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Sidewalk or not.
- 26:34Speaker 1: You're just going to flip over the handlebars?
- 26:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 2: No, please, no. Or it could result in fines that
- 26:40Speaker 2: you have to pay money because you're riding on the
- 26:43Speaker 2: sidewalk and you're not supposed to.
- 26:45Speaker 3: All I know is last week in Denver, I got, A,
- 26:47Speaker 3: caught behind a slow VO in the street. And then
- 26:51Speaker 3: right after that, when I tried to park in Denver-
- 26:53Speaker 3: I thought I found a good spot. Nope, a VO
- 26:55Speaker 3: in the street was parked there.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I hate these things.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, there kind of is no winning when it comes
- 27:02Speaker 2: to these scooters or e-bikes or whatever, but we have
- 27:06Speaker 2: to figure something out.
- 27:07Speaker 4: But them being on the sidewalk, it's hurting people.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I say, you know what? Just GTA this stuff and
- 27:14Speaker 1: write it on the sidewalk, 20 points for more people
- 27:17Speaker 1: that you hit. Wow!
- 27:19Speaker 2: That's Joshua Owen right there on Denver's Morning Show. Stella
- 27:24Speaker 2: Lefty on Mix 100. Angelina Jolie's daughter, Shiloh, is following
- 27:29Speaker 2: along getting some piercings. She got a lip piercing. She
- 27:33Speaker 2: did wait until she was 18, though, for that one.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yeah, then she doesn't need the parents' consent at all. Right, exactly.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Did she do like the, I'm gonna go way back,
- 27:41Speaker 3: the emo kind.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Of side piercing, or did she do the straight across?
- 27:46Speaker 2: She did right in the middle on the bottom of
- 27:49Speaker 2: her lip, a little hoop right in the middle.
- 27:52Speaker 4: It's actually kind of cute. I do like it.
- 27:54Speaker 2: And it's so funny looking at photos of Shiloh all
- 27:57Speaker 2: grown up now. She is 18, and she looks like
- 28:00Speaker 2: the perfect mixture of of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
- 28:04Speaker 4: It's insane. I can't tell which parent she looks more like.
- 28:08Speaker 3: No, it's funny because she'll look to the right and
- 28:10Speaker 3: you're like, oh, that's Brad's daughter. Then she'll look to
- 28:12Speaker 3: the left and you're like, oh, that's Angelina's daughter. It's
- 28:15Speaker 3: crazy how it's virtually 50-50.
- 28:17Speaker 4: It really is.
- 28:18Speaker 2: But she got all those great assets from her parents
- 28:21Speaker 2: and she definitely got her mom, Angelina Jolie's lips for sure.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And then that piercing, that little hoop right in the
- 28:28Speaker 2: middle of her bottom lip, I mean, it I think
- 28:31Speaker 2: it looks real cute.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I say do what you're going to do. She's 18.
- 28:34Speaker 4: She's young. She wants to get a piercing. Go for it,
- 28:36Speaker 4: baby girl. But, yeah, it's funny because a lot of
- 28:40Speaker 4: people are.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Giving her comparisons to Angelina Jolie because she's done faux
- 28:44Speaker 2: piercings before on her lip like that.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Oh, has she?
- 28:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Yeah, but Shiloh, she's like, I'm going to do it
- 28:50Speaker 4: for real.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Did I ever tell you college Josh went wild one
- 28:54Speaker 3: night and had a buddy pierce his nose? No.
- 28:57Speaker 4: You pierced your nose?
- 28:59Speaker 1: I had a nose piercing for about two weeks.
- 29:02Speaker 2: What?
- 29:02Speaker 1: And I have a picture I'll show you off the air.
- 29:04Speaker 4: I need a picture.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I don't know if we're going to post this one,
- 29:06Speaker 1: but I went a little crazy. I need a photo.
- 29:08Speaker 3: And my buddy, yeah, we did it in a basement.
- 29:09Speaker 3: And it did not last very long. But I went
- 29:11Speaker 3: out on a limb once and got my nose pierced.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Wow. Wild.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Had no idea.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Oh, I lived it up back in the day. All right.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Well, you said you talked about Kim Kardashian's daughter, North,
- 29:20Speaker 3: a little bit earlier. She is in the news because
- 29:23Speaker 3: she's just been going crazy with her musical career lately.
- 29:26Speaker 3: And Kim started to pay a little homage to her
- 29:30Speaker 3: own daughter. She debuted her Halloween costume a few days ago,
- 29:34Speaker 3: and oh my gosh, she is North's twin. Straight down
- 29:38Speaker 3: to the hair, the makeup. the piercings that North has. Which,
- 29:43Speaker 3: by the way, are those real piercings or are those
- 29:45Speaker 3: faux piercings?
- 29:46Speaker 2: North got real piercings on her hand, on her knuckles,
- 29:49Speaker 2: and they were all red and puffy and infected.
- 29:51Speaker 4: You could see in the pictures.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Ouch. Okay, just making sure.
- 29:54Speaker 3: So yeah, even down to the piercings and the nail
- 29:57Speaker 3: style that North has done, Kim looks exactly like her daughter.
- 30:02Speaker 3: And I will say, like, obviously they look alike, like mother,
- 30:05Speaker 3: like daughter. But when Kim dresses up like her and
- 30:09Speaker 3: does the makeup to look like North, I was like,
- 30:12Speaker 3: oh my gosh, because I'm looking.
- 30:13Speaker 1: At a side by side right now.
- 30:14Speaker 4: You're like, which is which?
- 30:15Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:16Speaker 3: It is wild to see. And I think that's kind
- 30:18Speaker 3: of cute. I think mom dressing up like daughter. I mean,
- 30:20Speaker 3: the Kardashians are such a polarizing family that even though
- 30:25Speaker 3: North is so young, she is living her life.
- 30:28Speaker 1: And I, I think it's kind of cute that her
- 30:29Speaker 1: mom's going for, you know, her.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Mom dressed up as Northwest for Halloween.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:33Speaker 4: It was a Halloween costume.
- 30:34Speaker 1: It's a whole Halloween costume.
- 30:35Speaker 3: And it looks like what North essentially wears to her
- 30:38Speaker 3: concerts and things like that. Um, but I will say
- 30:41Speaker 3: if you were in North shoes, do you think that's embarrassing?
- 30:44Speaker 3: Or it's like my mom's freaking Kim Kardashian shoes.
- 30:47Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 30:48Speaker 2: I think any normal preteen, teenager, whatever, they would be like, oh,
- 30:53Speaker 2: my God, this is so embarrassing.
- 30:54Speaker 4: My mom dressing up as me. But like you said,
- 30:57Speaker 4: it is Kim Kardashian.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the thing.
- 30:59Speaker 3: She even did the cover album or the cover artwork
- 31:01Speaker 3: where North is like covering her face.
- 31:03Speaker 1: She does the same thing. I don't know. I think
- 31:05Speaker 1: at the time.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Your mom's Kim Kardashian. You cannot be like, oh my god, mom, stop,
- 31:09Speaker 3: that's embarrassing.
- 31:11Speaker 4: At the end of the day, she's still a teenager,
- 31:12Speaker 4: so she can be like, oh my god, mom, that's
- 31:14Speaker 4: so embarrassing.
- 31:15Speaker 1: All right, all right, fair enough.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Your last story for the Celebrity Quickie, Stevie Wonder, of
- 31:21Speaker 2: all people, who knew he's kind of a sugar daddy
- 31:24Speaker 2: without the sugar?
- 31:25Speaker 4: So he has been letting... What?
- 31:30Speaker 2: He's been letting one of his old girlfriends stay at
- 31:34Speaker 2: his house for almost four decades. This woman has been
- 31:39Speaker 2: living in one of his homes that he's been paying for.
- 31:42Speaker 2: She's paid zero dollars in rent for almost 40 years.
- 31:46Speaker 4: And they've just been friends.
- 31:47Speaker 2: So like I said, he's the sugar daddy paying for
- 31:49Speaker 2: her rent and letting her stay in his house. But
- 31:52Speaker 2: he ain't getting no sugar because they have not been
- 31:54Speaker 2: a thing since. for quite a long time. And finally,
- 31:57Speaker 2: Stevie is tired of it and he is kicking her out,
- 32:00Speaker 2: but she is not leaving without a fight. They are
- 32:04Speaker 2: gonna go to court over this.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I don't know what
- 32:09Speaker 1: I was going to say. I almost just let my
- 32:10Speaker 1: intrusive thoughts come out. Oh, no, no, no. Live radio.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I was going to say, all she has to do
- 32:14Speaker 1: is just stay real quiet. It's all good. Oh, shut.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:18Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:18Speaker 4: That's your Celebrity Quickie.
- 32:21Speaker 2: On Denver's Morning Show with Nina and Josh. Oh, my gosh.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Wait for the text messages on that to start flooding in.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Joshua.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Major recall for Toyota drivers right now. More than 105,000
- 32:35Speaker 2: vehicles are being recalled over a faulty fuel tube. It
- 32:41Speaker 2: could detach and leak fuel on the roads, which is
- 32:45Speaker 2: extremely dangerous.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Think about that. Someone flicks a cigarette or whatever, a spark.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Your whole family goes up in flames.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Not good.
- 32:54Speaker 2: So Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser hybrid vehicles recall
- 32:59Speaker 2: From the model years 2024 to 2027, they are being
- 33:03Speaker 2: asked to go to a dealership. You'll get your car inspected.
- 33:06Speaker 2: If the issue is there, they will fix it as needed.
- 33:09Speaker 2: But this is extremely dangerous. So Toyota Land Cruiser drivers,
- 33:14Speaker 2: if you have a newer car from 2024 to 2027,
- 33:18Speaker 2: those Land Cruisers, you have to get that taken care of.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Go to a dealership immediately. ASAP because that is scary.
- 33:25Speaker 4: That's scary.
- 33:26Speaker 3: All those Gen 2 Toyota fans that have the 4Runners
- 33:29Speaker 3: from 1997 are like, not me.
- 33:30Speaker 1: We're good.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Don't gotta worry about that.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. I love Toyotas, but yeah, that's not good.
- 33:37Speaker 3: You don't want to, I mean, the crazy part about
- 33:39Speaker 3: that is the best case scenario is you just lose
- 33:41Speaker 3: all your fuel.
- 33:42Speaker 1: The worst case scenario is you explode.
- 33:44Speaker 4: Get it checked out.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Just go get it checked out. Either way.
- 33:46Speaker 4: And with how expensive gas is, we don't want that either.
- 33:48Speaker 1: No, you don't want to leak the fuel. Not at all.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Either way.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That's an arm and a leg.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Go get it taken care of.
- 33:53Speaker 3: So there's a new analysis coming out of nearly 60,000
- 33:55Speaker 3: older adults across, I would say, half the world right now.
- 34:00Speaker 3: And the study found that it is best to stay
- 34:03Speaker 3: socially active the older you get. It is linked to
- 34:06Speaker 3: far better memory and cognitive performance. And it's especially true
- 34:10Speaker 3: in women. They say that the study tracked participants over
- 34:13Speaker 3: six years, finding that those involved in three or more
- 34:16Speaker 3: social activities weekly, such as volunteering, joining a sports club,
- 34:21Speaker 3: taking new classes to learn new things, showed the strongest
- 34:24Speaker 3: gains in thinking scores. And this held across every country
- 34:29Speaker 3: that they did it across the world. So volunteer work
- 34:31Speaker 3: and sports clubs were the most consistently tied to sharper cognition.
- 34:35Speaker 3: And this is essentially because you're learning new things. Keep
- 34:38Speaker 3: that brain working. Your brain is a muscle. The more
- 34:41Speaker 3: you expand it, the more you read, the more you
- 34:43Speaker 3: talk to people, the more you do face-to-face interactions, you're
- 34:46Speaker 3: essentially exercising it. And that is really important to sharpening
- 34:51Speaker 3: that mind and staying sharp older. I know that in
- 34:53Speaker 3: the golden years, we like to just kind of sit
- 34:55Speaker 3: at home because we've done everything and we're like, let's
- 34:56Speaker 3: just relax. Right.
- 34:57Speaker 2: The thought of retirement for a lot of people is like,
- 35:00Speaker 2: I finally get to do nothing.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Which every once in a while, that's great.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Totally.
- 35:05Speaker 2: But make sure to keep up, like you said, and
- 35:08Speaker 2: if it's your social calendar, that's fun stuff.
- 35:11Speaker 1: That's fun stuff. Come on, take a knitting class, dang it.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I'm actually really proud.
- 35:16Speaker 2: My parents, they're getting older, you know, and my stepdad
- 35:20Speaker 2: is retired, but he is so active still and doing
- 35:23Speaker 2: a lot of stuff. He volunteers twice a week at
- 35:25Speaker 2: two different places. He and my mom are constantly going
- 35:29Speaker 2: out to dinner with some friends. And so hearing that,
- 35:32Speaker 2: you know what? Good job, Mom and Dad. I'm going
- 35:34Speaker 2: to let them know they're doing what they need to
- 35:35Speaker 2: be doing.
- 35:36Speaker 1: We'd love to see it.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yeah. And Den 10 came out today. Make sure you
- 35:40Speaker 2: go check it out at Mix100. com. If you are looking
- 35:43Speaker 2: for stuff to do this weekend, there is a whole bunch.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Of course, we have the Rainbow Radio Show Halloween Party
- 35:50Speaker 2: at Trax Nightclub. That's happening tomorrow. I think I'm going
- 35:54Speaker 2: to be there. I'm going to do my best to
- 35:56Speaker 2: get out there. It's going to be a lot of fun.
- 35:57Speaker 2: We also have a ton of stuff happening this weekend,
- 36:00Speaker 2: like Dia de los Muertos celebration is back at Civic
- 36:03Speaker 2: Center Park on Saturday.
- 36:05Speaker 4: That's always a big one. There's a Boo-lesque. show that
- 36:09Speaker 4: is going on.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I think that one's at the clock tower. It is,
- 36:12Speaker 1: it is.
- 36:13Speaker 2: And then Josh, this is for you. Escape the Pavilion.
- 36:17Speaker 2: The Butterfly Pavilion.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Oh.
- 36:20Speaker 2: You go in there and they turn off all the
- 36:22Speaker 2: lights and you explore the Butterfly Pavilion in the dark.
- 36:26Speaker 4: They give you some puzzles, a flashlight, and some fun
- 36:29Speaker 4: things to do.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I almost just passed out.
- 36:31Speaker 2: This is your nightmare.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I had to grab the table. My knee's weak, arms heavy,
- 36:36Speaker 3: there's vomit on my sweater. I can't, that is, horrendous.
- 36:40Speaker 2: I mean that's the perfect Halloween activity for you you'll
- 36:43Speaker 2: get scared.
- 36:44Speaker 3: No that's straight up torture that's not even a Halloween
- 36:47Speaker 3: like I'll do the haunted houses I'll do the haunted
- 36:49Speaker 3: corn mazes literally sitting in the dark with butterflies yeah Yep.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I might die. I might die. I would never do that. But, hey,
- 36:57Speaker 1: sounds great for somebody else.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Go.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Go to the Butterfly Pavilion. Go do that.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Go check out all the events that we have up
- 37:02Speaker 2: there at Mix100.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Com.
- 37:04Speaker 2: It's the Den 10. Seriously, there's so much going on,
- 37:08Speaker 2: both for the kids and for the adults. And if
- 37:11Speaker 2: you want to get active, there's even Ghosts and Goblins 5K.
- 37:15Speaker 4: That actually sounds fun, right?
- 37:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and for the families, I know we did say this,
- 37:18Speaker 3: but the Trunk or Treats, there's a lot going on.
- 37:20Speaker 3: I know there's a couple in Lakewood and Centennial as well.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 37:23Speaker 3: That is fun family fun right there. It's safe for everybody.
- 37:26Speaker 3: It's a good time. So those are going on as well.
- 37:27Speaker 3: So just check it out. We got like 50 things
- 37:29Speaker 3: for you on there.
- 37:30Speaker 1: For real.
- 37:30Speaker 4: There's a variety of events on the Den 10.
- 37:34Speaker 2: So go and check it out at Mix100. com. Josh, you're
- 37:38Speaker 2: over there steaming. I'm sorry I brought up the poor
- 37:41Speaker 2: hockey skills that you now have after playing hockey for
- 37:44Speaker 2: most of your young life.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I'm washed up. I know.
- 37:47Speaker 2: We didn't do so great. But you can go check
- 37:50Speaker 2: out that video on our socials.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Or don't. Or don't. Or don't.
- 37:54Speaker 2: But Josh, you're also upset about something else because you
- 37:56Speaker 2: came in And you opened up this brand new, beautiful laptop.
- 38:00Speaker 2: And I'm like, ooh, new laptop, because I knew yours broke.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Looks good, doesn't it, though?
- 38:04Speaker 2: It does. It looks real good. I hope it's working
- 38:07Speaker 2: well for you. But you're upset about it.
- 38:10Speaker 3: See, that's the thing. I'm not upset about the laptop.
- 38:12Speaker 3: It's actually beautiful. Apple makes such good products. I love Apple.
- 38:15Speaker 3: I will probably be Apple for life, OK? Yeah.
- 38:17Speaker 1: That being said, I went in last night, and I
- 38:20Speaker 1: ordered this laptop a little bit ago. They got it.
- 38:22Speaker 1: It's in. It's exactly what I want. I love it.
- 38:24Speaker 1: MacBook Pro, shout out to you. It's fantastic.
- 38:26Speaker 4: So what's the problem?
- 38:28Speaker 3: I was handed the box, and I'm so excited. I'm
- 38:31Speaker 3: ready to tear this thing open. And before you tear
- 38:33Speaker 3: it open, Josh, we've just got to do the checkout part,
- 38:35Speaker 3: the painful part.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Of course.
- 38:36Speaker 1: And I'm like, yeah, of course. Here, you know, what's
- 38:38Speaker 1: the damage, is what my dad used to say.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Right.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And they charged me. It's fine. It's all good.
- 38:42Speaker 3: And then I look at the box, and I'm like, hey,
- 38:45Speaker 3: this is actually not the color I wanted. Right.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Does that matter?
- 38:48Speaker 3: I thought maybe on every box it's just the silver
- 38:50Speaker 3: Apple laptop, okay? And he goes, oh, good call.
- 38:54Speaker 1: You know what? That's not the one.
- 38:55Speaker 3: He goes, every laptop color that you want, I wanted
- 38:58Speaker 3: the space gray one, it's going to be on the
- 39:02Speaker 3: front of the box, okay?
- 39:02Speaker 1: That's how we know we're giving you the right one.
- 39:04Speaker 3: So I'm like, okay, I thought I could just give
- 39:06Speaker 3: him the silver one back, get my space gray.
- 39:10Speaker 1: And because of that, I guess every laptop has.
- 39:14Speaker 3: a different barcode so he's like hey I have to
- 39:16Speaker 3: like kind of recheck you out but this is all
- 39:18Speaker 3: happening as I'm literally tapping my card and then I
- 39:22Speaker 3: get the statement on my phone I get a notification
- 39:24Speaker 3: every time I buy anything it doesn't matter if it's
- 39:26Speaker 3: a dollar or.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Hey you just spent a lot of money yeah.
- 39:28Speaker 3: My card goes ouch So that happened. And I look
- 39:32Speaker 3: at my phone and it's like, hey, this went through.
- 39:35Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay.
- 39:36Speaker 3: But then I get the color that I want. And
- 39:38Speaker 3: he's like, hey, we do have to like recheck you.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I'm like, that's totally fine. I understand that. That being said,
- 39:42Speaker 3: I was like, hey, your card reader and my card
- 39:46Speaker 3: says thank you for taking a lot of Josh's money.
- 39:50Speaker 3: And so I was like, what are we doing here?
- 39:53Speaker 3: Are you refunding me?
- 39:53Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 39:54Speaker 3: He goes, no, no, no, just tap again and you
- 39:56Speaker 3: should be totally fine. And I'm like, I honestly don't know.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Apple's so freaking advanced.
- 40:00Speaker 2: But if you had a confirmed charge and then you're
- 40:02Speaker 2: tapping again, did they charge you twice?
- 40:05Speaker 1: That is two times the charge and I don't like
- 40:07Speaker 1: that at all.
- 40:08Speaker 3: No! Because essentially what he said was, that should just
- 40:13Speaker 3: take itself out the first one.
- 40:14Speaker 1: It should just totally eradicate that. Like, it's gone. It's
- 40:17Speaker 1: out of there.
- 40:18Speaker 3: This guy, I'm not gonna say his name. This guy
- 40:22Speaker 3: was incredibly helpful. Seriously, he was so helpful. He told
- 40:25Speaker 3: me a lot, helped me get everything set up. I
- 40:27Speaker 3: transferred the stuff from my old laptop to this.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Super, super helpful. When it came to paying, this dude
- 40:32Speaker 1: knew nothing other than tap the card.
- 40:33Speaker 3: So when that happened, I was like, what is going on? Like,
- 40:36Speaker 3: I need to not pay thousands of dollars now on
- 40:41Speaker 3: top of what I just paid for this laptop. And
- 40:44Speaker 3: he said, no, no, no, you should be totally fine.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Then like dot, dot, dot. But if you do get
- 40:50Speaker 3: two charges, you know what we're going to do? He's like,
- 40:51Speaker 3: just call AppleCare.
- 40:52Speaker 1: And I'm like.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Bro, this is like a massive charge. You know how
- 40:56Speaker 3: expensive these laptops are. This is not a, hey, if
- 40:59Speaker 3: you get two charges, we should not charge you twice.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Like, Josh is not allowed to eat now.
- 41:04Speaker 2: You can't afford anything because you were double charged with
- 41:07Speaker 2: this laptop.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I'm going to be real skinny come the winter months. No,
- 41:10Speaker 1: it's ridiculous right now.
- 41:11Speaker 3: So I'm essentially just keeping an eye on my phone
- 41:14Speaker 3: for the next couple days to see if both charges
- 41:17Speaker 3: go through.
- 41:18Speaker 4: So have you looked at your statement? Does it show
- 41:20Speaker 4: two charges or just one?
- 41:22Speaker 1: No, I'm really scared.
- 41:23Speaker 3: No, as of right now, I don't have any charges
- 41:25Speaker 3: yet because it's just going to come essentially.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Okay. So I'm waiting for that.
- 41:29Speaker 3: But yeah, essentially he's like, hey, keep an eye on
- 41:30Speaker 3: it the next couple of days.
- 41:31Speaker 1: And if anything happens, just call Apple.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I'm like, I hate that answer. And especially if you're
- 41:36Speaker 2: doing this in person. Like, it's one thing if it's online,
- 41:38Speaker 2: but you're doing this in person.
- 41:40Speaker 1: I was like, there's got to be a way.
- 41:41Speaker 3: And he, like, went to another guy, another AppleCare specialist,
- 41:44Speaker 3: and the guy was like, oh, yeah, blah, blah, blah.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Just whispering back and forth. I'm like, what are you saying?
- 41:47Speaker 2: What are you saying?
- 41:48Speaker 1: You charged me twice. What are you saying? Yeah, like,
- 41:50Speaker 1: drinks on him tonight, okay? No, no, no.
- 41:52Speaker 2: I don't know. I feel like you're going to be
- 41:53Speaker 2: double charged. It's going to take a month for you
- 41:55Speaker 2: to get your money refunded. Luckily, I love.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Water because that's all I'm having for the next month. Exactly.
