Luna: Oh, that's useful. I always get confused at the post office. Lucas: Exactly. So today we'll learn a few key phrases. First up: 'Ik wil graag een postzegel.' That means 'I would like a stamp.' Luna: Ik wil graag een postzegel. Lucas: Perfect. Now, if you need to ask the price: 'Hoeveel kost een postzegel?' That's 'How much does a stamp cost?' Luna: Hoeveel kost een postzegel? Lucas: Good. Now imagine you want to send a letter. You say: 'Ik wil een brief versturen.' Luna: Ik wil een brief versturen. Lucas: And for a package: 'Ik wil een pakketje versturen.' Luna: Ik wil een pakketje versturen. That's a mouthful! Lucas: You got it though. And finally, if you need to know where to drop it off: 'Waar kan ik dit afgeven?' Luna: Waar kan ik dit afgeven? That's 'Where can I hand this in?' right? Lucas: Exactly. Let's put these in a little scene. You walk up to the counter. Lucas: You say: 'Ik wil graag een postzegel.' The clerk says: 'Binnenland of buitenland?' That means domestic or international. Luna: Oh, right. So I'd say: 'Buitenland, alstublieft.' Lucas: Yes. And then you ask: 'Hoeveel kost een postzegel?' Luna: Perfect. Let me try the whole thing. 'Ik wil graag een postzegel. Hoeveel kost een postzegel?' Lucas: Excellent. Now let's say you have a package. You say: 'Ik wil een pakketje versturen.' Luna: Ik wil een pakketje versturen. Then maybe I need to ask: 'Waar kan ik dit afgeven?' Lucas: Yes, and the clerk might point to the counter. Now, let's practice all five phrases once more. Lucas: Repeat after me: 'Ik wil graag een postzegel.' Luna: Ik wil graag een postzegel. Lucas: 'Hoeveel kost een postzegel?' Luna: Hoeveel kost een postzegel? Lucas: 'Ik wil een brief versturen.'
