- 0:02And hello, welcome to another episode of the Christian Reef
- 0:06podcast. As you can see, it's another
- 0:08video episode for those listing on, you know, Spotify Apple
- 0:12podcast, Google podcasts. I recommend you drop by at some
- 0:15point and just check out the video podcast because it's
- 0:18always good. Especially with today's guests,
- 0:21who is an Estonian painter. His name is Johan Roderick for
- 0:26those who are regularly watching the show or listening, you will
- 0:29have already heard our Podcast together.
- 0:32And basically, this is going to be a bit of an interesting, one
- 0:37for several reasons. But first, okay.
- 0:41Well hello. And welcome back how you doing,
- 0:43you hon? Hello, I'm just fine.
- 0:49I like interesting, so better hope it's interesting.
- 0:53You don't worry? No, I'm not.
- 0:58I'll explain right. So I yeah.
- 1:00Yeah, go ahead ways kind of Grill, my guests whenever they
- 1:03have something in any way kind of controversial.
- 1:07And this, I mean, this isn't really controversial but it is
- 1:10kind of like an interesting thing in terms of some of the
- 1:14things that you've said in the Estonian media and just
- 1:17generally people. Well, when we did our first
- 1:27podcast together, I obviously you With the first one, I always
- 1:32kind of want to introduce and kind of say like, hey everyone,
- 1:36this is the situation, this is the person, this is what they
- 1:39do. But I think we did a very good
- 1:40job of that. I think we, you know, we've got
- 1:42a good rounded, kind of understanding of who you are and
- 1:45what you do and I was very proud of that.
- 1:47And then I saw this stuff again and I was like, how could I
- 1:51forget this? This is so obvious.
- 1:54Okay, so yeah and let's see, well before we get into it, I
- 2:00just I want to say for those who are watching on YouTube right
- 2:04now, you can see this is you Hans Art Studio that he, this is
- 2:08where he lives and where he, yeah, that I am in the studio.
- 2:11Hmm. And in one of my exploring
- 2:15videos, actually, I can't remember which one, but you can
- 2:18see in the thumbnail, in the exploring playlist.
- 2:22I have we actually do a little mini tour of the at least, the
- 2:27first part of your art studio. So, like, The entrance way where
- 2:32you do your art show. And also just cut, I kind of
- 2:35like a display area. I don't know how to put it, but,
- 2:38you know, your living room essentially.
- 2:41Yeah, yeah. I'm yeah, that's small bunker
- 2:47video. I remember exactly which one An
- 2:52imperial bunker you labeled it Soviet but it wasn't Soviet
- 2:57period. Okay, no I think I changed it
- 2:59though because yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was fixed.
- 3:02Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:03Because you said to me that it was incorrect and it was
- 3:06actually Imperial like you said or from the site error as I
- 3:11understand. Yes.
- 3:12Yeah. Some of them were It's funny
- 3:16actually in one of the videos that I did in the comments,
- 3:20someone was just like, oh, this is wrong.
- 3:22This is incorrect and all hang on.
- 3:26I think we're having an issue. Okay.
- 3:31Oh I had I heard some fishy, Lydia some time but I've sorted
- 3:37out the the issue. Okay, I'm going to continue.
- 3:41I don't know what happened? Any better.
- 3:43Yes. Fine basically for those
- 3:45listening on Spotify, that will be, I have to edit that.
- 3:50Anyway, as I was saying we've with the those videos, obviously
- 3:54they get interesting comments now and again, they're starting
- 3:57to get more and more as people discover them, but one of the
- 3:59people Like yeah, this is incorrect information.
- 4:02And this is actually from like the saw era or something and
- 4:07then, someone just said in response to that.
- 4:10No, it isn't. This is like.
- 4:12No, you're wrong. And then I didn't really know
- 4:15what to laughs. Yeah.
- 4:17Because to be, okay, we'll all of those places that we checked
- 4:20out. It's not always immediately
- 4:23obvious like, some of them You know, you like I guess there's a
- 4:28giveaways in terms of the architecture and other places
- 4:30maybe not so much. So it's not always like 100%
- 4:33like this is this, or this is this.
- 4:37So that's kind of interesting being the calmest.
- 4:38They one of the people was just like, it's this and then the
- 4:41next person was like, no it's not.
- 4:43You're an idiot. This is like I don't know what
- 4:46to think of that. Leave them over there because
- 4:50they probably are entertaining themselves.
- 4:56Anyway, I'm getting them have some fun.
- 5:01Yeah, of course. I mean, that's, that's going to
- 5:03be what those videos are like, but I mean, you know, I think
- 5:06the historical accuracy is important.
- 5:09I mean, certainly whenever I do these videos, I do want to kind
- 5:12of get the right information out there but like helps.
- 5:17Yeah, we're something like that, though.
- 5:19It's not like a big deal. It's like we're talking, okay,
- 5:22maybe it's 20 or 30 years older than we've said it is.
- 5:25But it's not like It's massively incorrect.
- 5:27It's like we know that it's at least purposeful for like
- 5:31military purposes versus like, I don't know.
- 5:34Just being built for some other reason than we get it wrong, but
- 5:38it definitely isn't the popcorn stand.
- 5:41Now, as you know, I will say just before we move on just to
- 5:47close this part of podcast, that it was very interesting to see
- 5:52all the comments in response to that abandoned Bible school
- 5:55video. Oh, that we do.
- 5:57I haven't check the comment section yet or no.
- 5:59This, this was in your post actually that I discovered all
- 6:03this information. Ah, yeah.
- 6:05Yeah. Okay.
- 6:06Okay. Yes, yes, yes.
- 6:07Because obviously mean, you kind of knew that like, the school
- 6:11closed somewhere between say, what at the time?
- 6:15We thought it was the 90s but then it became apparent that the
- 6:18mid-2000s was when it kind of challenged or something.
- 6:21But then, like, looking through those comments, there was people
- 6:23saying things that like I saw one commenter said, There were
- 6:27plans to make this into like a care home for people and I
- 6:31actually think that would have been a good idea because the
- 6:34location of where it was, I don't know if we necessarily
- 6:37covered that in the videos, but it obviously as you recall like
- 6:41it was a short walking distance from from the sea.
- 6:45So it's like if that was a curse enough, it would be a perfect
- 6:49place to have a care home when you think about it from that
- 6:51from that kind of perspective. But Anyways yeah, mmm.
- 6:59Yeah, so as the title of this video suggests, we're going to
- 7:05cover your time on and I'm going to butcher this going to do my
- 7:09very best. I'll be a loose as he misses,
- 7:14Selma Bill guest. Is that right?
- 7:19Yeah. Close enough Columbia lose.
- 7:21This game is still my biggest cinema pill boost.
- 7:24Okay? Right.
- 7:24And that translates into English, as Married at First
- 7:29Sight. Yeah, exactly.
- 7:32So this is a Spanish license reality show.
- 7:37Yeah. And this was a TV show that you
- 7:39are a part of in Dean add-on devic column, which is this
- 7:45number three channel in Estonia? And I mean, the title kind of
- 7:51gives it away, but I'll briefly explain the concept, you know,
- 7:54you meet someone and then there they were several different
- 7:58couples this. When I read into this actually,
- 8:00there were, I think there was about four, or five different
- 8:02couples, and you three, just three couples.
- 8:06Yes. That's what the media has wrong
- 8:09information. There, There is a lot of
- 8:12misinformation that's so it's full of misinformation.
- 8:17There's there's a lot of it or they need to make this more
- 8:20interesting than we can kind of find out what the media is right
- 8:23on and what they're wrong. Yes, but yeah, basically one of
- 8:28the things that I read into was that like your couple were the
- 8:31only kind of like successful couple and everyone else was
- 8:35just like part of my language, but like, a shitshow, like just
- 8:38not right for each other like this.
- 8:41Bad, which I kind of found sweet in a way like I was like, oh,
- 8:45that's cool. Like, you know, at least like
- 8:48the concept worked because I feel that like as a concept in
- 8:53general because I've seen something similar to this, in
- 8:57the UK, possibly or death, I've definitely seen this this a
- 9:00version of this show before and I've always kind of thought it's
- 9:03a bit too crazy. It's like, I know it's just TV.
- 9:08It's reality TV, it's not supposed to be like, you know,
- 9:12this is real life. But like at the same time it is
- 9:15because like, you guys genuinely got married and yes, you were
- 9:19genuinely together and like I guess I guess the wider point of
- 9:24what I'm getting to is like we're with you guys there might
- 9:26have actually been some chemistry and like, you know,
- 9:28there's there was some success there, all the rest of the
- 9:31couple's kind of demonstrated like why it's a bad idea like,
- 9:35why this concept I'm really doesn't work in life like when
- 9:39you're getting together with someone probably take some time
- 9:42to get to know them before you jump to marriage.
- 9:46Well yeah it helps definitely okay.
- 9:50Well you did interviews with various websites afterwards.
- 9:55The one website that I found a lot of information from was a
- 9:58website called chronica which is Monica Monica, okay?
- 10:03And it's a chronica with Delphi which is one of The major media
- 10:08outlets in Estonia and basically what okay, you know that
- 10:13affiliation there because I have no idea what the deal there is
- 10:17they just an Estonian. There are news outlets.
- 10:23Yeah. They both, are they both look.
- 10:25So there's like, Synergy, they connected and some, well,
- 10:29they're Estonian news outlets, so I know they'll really sure
- 10:34about the size Civics right? Yeah, I know.
- 10:37I'd never heard of chronica, so that was something new anyway in
- 10:42that interview you stated that you enjoy.
- 10:46I mean I don't know if this truck because I'm translating
- 10:48this from Estonian to English. So, as prodigies over, this is
- 10:51wrong, but basically the gist of it was that you would enjoy the
- 10:54attention that you received from the show.
- 10:59So let's start with that. First of all, Because the next
- 11:06question I have is regarding negativity.
- 11:08But I want to talk about the positives of this situation, she
- 11:10did to show what was the kind of immediate feeling afterwards,
- 11:16once it finished like what was the kind of the good stuff that
- 11:20happened as a result of this? Well, it was a lot of fun.
- 11:25Like, there's multiple things like a lot of filming and a lot
- 11:33of activities and Doing stuff. So there was like one and a half
- 11:40month of filming to get it, get it wrapped.
- 11:46Damn, okay. And how long would the filming
- 11:48days? Like generally speaking
- 11:52dependent on the day, few hours we took with the team but
- 12:01sometimes we filmed our own, we were handed.
- 12:05Some sort of a small camera, okay to use it ourselves.
- 12:10So so that was something with it as well.
- 12:15So with the because I couldn't really find much information on
- 12:18this show. I'm sure I could, if I really,
- 12:20really delve deep, but since we have you here, it's much easier.
- 12:23Us ask you directly. Did they kind of cover the cost?
- 12:28I guess of like setting up things was it a case of like
- 12:32they would say to you like Hey we're going to take You to this
- 12:35place and we'll cover it in everything and we just you know,
- 12:40you kind of just like do what they say or is it kind of a
- 12:42situation of like your bike paying for everything or
- 12:47whatever and like they're just filming it or what was the setup
- 12:50that? Well, it was like it was no
- 12:56extra cost for me. Yeah.
- 13:00Everything was pretty much like from there.
- 13:04So that's the most, that's typical case of any filming
- 13:10that. I usually don't have any of my
- 13:13own cost well, except for a few where I volunteer, but it, yeah,
- 13:20it was pretty much like Cost free for me except for my own
- 13:25time right baby? Baby, you enjoyed it right?
- 13:32Like I mean you said you knew it, I'll be like yes yes it was
- 13:35a lot of fun. The otherwise I wouldn't have
- 13:37done it because I wasn't paid or anything for it but I that's
- 13:43interesting. Well it didn't all the costs
- 13:47were like covered but I didn't they this wasn't painting so it
- 13:53was like my own free willing. Think reality shows are not paid
- 13:59here. Is this really irritates me that
- 14:04this is the color. I mean I've said this to you
- 14:05before, but for those listening and there seems to be this theme
- 14:09in Estonia of like not paying people.
- 14:12For things like TV shows or more specifically like films and
- 14:19stuff like that, and it's not everywhere.
- 14:21Obviously, you've sort of said many times that most of the time
- 14:25you are actually paid. So it's not like all the time,
- 14:28but there are major examples. And again, I think we covered
- 14:31this in the last podcast, but the fact that like, you can have
- 14:34a very, very long day, and it could be expected to do a lot of
- 14:37waiting around, and they're not get paid for that.
- 14:38And then it's the same old thing of like, you know.
- 14:41Well, you're getting exposure. Szura and you're getting this
- 14:43and you're getting that and it's like, doesn't always hold up.
- 14:46I mean I guess in this scenario it does hold up because you
- 14:50know, you are featured prominently on Estonian
- 14:52television. Exactly.
- 14:54Right. You had the exposure but then if
- 14:56it's like, you're an extra in a movie, so that doesn't hold up
- 15:00at all, it may not be even visible, like, right?
- 15:03That doesn't hold up at all. So it's fun anyway, in a
- 15:09different way. Okay, good girl.
- 15:12Well, before I go into the negatives, what what would your
- 15:17kind of key takeaways? What was that, the best things
- 15:20that you took away from this experience, like the real
- 15:22positives of this situation, this whole experience?
- 15:29Why do you mean by that? So, like we're there any kind of
- 15:34like key lessons that you learned from this or that when
- 15:37you look back, because this was five years ago, says long time,
- 15:40almost a lifetime ago, right? So when you look back, like,
- 15:45what the key things that stand out for you, like, yeah, this,
- 15:47this was a good thing that happened or like this was a key
- 15:51lesson that I learn or, you know, something like that.
- 15:58Oh, okay. Well I don't know what was the
- 16:05real key lesson there. I was pretty familiar with
- 16:09acting before that I was also been exposed earlier.
- 16:15So I was absolutely bune to camera fear which couldn't be
- 16:20said to the others. And so like pretty much I had
- 16:29been used to being filmed, so so, it There was just, maybe
- 16:37some learning some new stuff like well I discovered there
- 16:45like filming for my own like we had to film our own stuff.
- 16:50So I got some more doing of that and inspired by that.
- 16:56I bought my own camera, which I broke.
- 17:01If I filming my video, I broke one.
- 17:05Actually, I have broken, two cameras filming videos.
- 17:09This is positive that us, it is a really yeah, yeah, talk to me
- 17:15a little bit about the audition process for this because I mean
- 17:18it's a bit different from like your standard TV show.
- 17:22Like we're there. Any like, weird things that they
- 17:25asked you in the auditions? Or like, what exactly were they
- 17:29looking for? Well there there are addition
- 17:36like it wasn't audition. It was like making a match.
- 17:42The concept was that the experts make a match and we meet first
- 17:46time at at the marriage office or something.
- 17:50Right. You know, I get that but like
- 17:52obviously you can't have been the only people that applied to
- 17:55be on. This shows is what I'm saying.
- 17:57Like, they must have probably hundreds of others and stuff.
- 18:00So why? S like you I guess there must
- 18:04have been like in a meeting or something.
- 18:06Where you know you are their boss.
- 18:09Yes, exactly. There was many meetings like I
- 18:14was I met like that met those experts who were making this
- 18:22like matcha happened. So there was some sort of sexual
- 18:28therapist, there was some sort of Of relationship specialist.
- 18:35And there was somebody else there, I don't remember who,
- 18:41what the profession was going to be an ancient history to me as
- 18:46well. Do you remember like, what kind
- 18:49of questions they asked you or anything?
- 18:53Well, it's a little becoming a little bit into the Dark Age of
- 19:00my memory. Like the room here.
- 19:02So I think I'll fix up a light and I probably not, but I'm just
- 19:07I'm curious too because like it's, you do tend to get weird
- 19:12questions when it comes to auditions.
- 19:14And especially, if it's a type of show, that's intended, purely
- 19:17for television and seemingly for like entertainment purposes.
- 19:22But the way you paint, it doesn't sound like it's almost
- 19:26sounds like it's like, actually professional or they were trying
- 19:28to do something serious and like, wasn't It intended to be
- 19:31like a joke or something. Which generally speaking with
- 19:36these kind of reality shows, particularly like in America or
- 19:40in the UK, it's like just a bit of a joke.
- 19:45Really obviously didn't always start out that way.
- 19:49I mean, I know for instance, Big Brother when it started in the
- 19:52UK was kind of like a almost like a psychological experiment.
- 19:57But at this point now it's like Whatever you want to call it.
- 20:02I don't know it. I think it's lost its appeal but
- 20:05anyway point being that like, it sounds like they were taking it
- 20:07very seriously. Like did you kind of get that
- 20:10feeling when you're on the show that like, you know, you're in
- 20:13good hands or like was there any unprofessionalism or like so
- 20:18it's all good. Yeah, it was.
- 20:22Yeah, absolutely. It was good.
- 20:24It can't be done by anybody who don't know what they're doing.
- 20:29I'm like of course I feel like and I mean it could be dance.
- 20:37Hey don't don't be dissin bfm, right?
- 20:40Like they're not at all that the doll, the doll back pretty soon
- 20:44very, very tired. Yeah.
- 20:45Yeah. Yeah.
- 20:46I have never been disappointed in bfm either so.
- 20:51So but yeah, these were all like everybody.
- 20:55Like life were like proffesional Crews.
- 21:01Working in television for ages. So, so, it's like nobody was day
- 21:07wonder, it should hope not. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:11Except me, maybe we're gonna, we're gonna take over someday,
- 21:15too. You've been a bit mean to
- 21:17yourself there. But anyway, let's take on a bit
- 21:21of a negative root, okay. Have you received kind of
- 21:25negative criticism for being on that show?
- 21:29Or some pushback from people was there anything, you know, when
- 21:33it immediately came out, where people, like, maybe attacked you
- 21:35or something like that. Like, talk to me a little bit
- 21:38about the more negatives of this experience.
- 21:41If there is any, I don't know. I don't remember any well,
- 21:45that's, that's good for either of us, the maybe there was
- 21:48something, but I don't know, just didn't care.
- 21:53Well, yeah, there's definitely somebody who I can't be liked by
- 21:58everybody. You.
- 21:59So I'm expecting to be hated by somebody so so it's like to be
- 22:06expected for me. I don't recall.
- 22:08That the reason I asked is like in this one of these crew
- 22:13chronica articles, it says that your wife had to change her
- 22:18phone number to avoid fans and journalists from sort of
- 22:22harassing her. Is that something that you have
- 22:25any memory of or did you have to do something like that?
- 22:29No, not at all. Is that even truth or is that a
- 22:32lie? I do something.
- 22:37Well, maybe you've got to ask her about that.
- 22:41I can't confirm this fact or I can't let you know what a
- 22:46married. So you would have anyone because
- 22:49this is immediately as after it happened, as I understand like
- 22:52timeline wise That's just it just sorta soda.
- 23:01I don't remember changing phone numbers or probably yeah she was
- 23:04a bit complaining about too much attention to her because she was
- 23:09unused to attention in this this magnitude.
- 23:14So for me it was just regular office time so II don't I didn't
- 23:20like much about it if somebody recognizes me on the street or
- 23:25something and come to us Ask something or add me on Facebook
- 23:29or call me. So yeah that top that off course
- 23:32that happened so that's no big deal for me and I would be
- 23:37remiss if I didn't ask this, we won't get too personal but since
- 23:42it is a kind of a personal topic now me and you have spoken about
- 23:45this in real life, but for the purpose of this podcast, I know
- 23:50that you guys aren't together anymore.
- 23:52So talk to me a bit about like why that's the case.
- 23:57He's just kind of broadly speaking.
- 23:58They have to give like specifics but like, oh, obviously, I think
- 24:02the reason that people would want to know is that obviously
- 24:04when that show came out, you know, you were like the success
- 24:08story. Like, this is good.
- 24:09This concept works like here, you know, you got an example of
- 24:13happy couple, right? And then fast forward in a five
- 24:15years later. It's not the case.
- 24:18So why is it not the case? What happened?
- 24:21There was it because of the show or was it just you know, one of
- 24:25those things. Well, we had different
- 24:29addresses. Say what?
- 24:35We had different addresses. Okay?
- 24:39So, well aware, we didn't work out as a long-term match that
- 24:43this was like, two unknown people put together for the show
- 24:49that. Yeah, the anybody can be
- 24:51together for some time but not indefinitely.
- 24:56So you don't just get the relationship between.
- 25:00Between just about anybody, right?
- 25:04I agree. Apply that the whole point of
- 25:07this show was like, I'm just going by this concept.
- 25:11I don't personally believe in this and I think we're both on
- 25:15the same wavelength of this, right?
- 25:16But the pope principle of this show is that you can find love
- 25:20at first sight marriage at First Sight, right?
- 25:23Maybe so well and clearly something went sort of wrong
- 25:30there. But like, was it?
- 25:34Is it pure? Was it because you just weren't
- 25:37right for each other. And, you know, I guess what I'm
- 25:41trying to say was like, was this put on for the cameras or was it
- 25:44genuine or like, okay, so like the show ends and then what?
- 25:48Like, you just go, okay? That was fun.
- 25:50See you later because you're officially married.
- 25:52That you're not or were yeah, right legally.
- 25:59Yes. Okay.
- 26:00Okay, right. So, it didn't just like,
- 26:02suddenly, like just end like that.
- 26:04Like presumably, of course, you're right.
- 26:10Give me some details, man, what happened?
- 26:12Like, what what why did that not work out?
- 26:15Was it just The told me a little bit about that.
- 26:18I don't want to probably too much but I think everyone would
- 26:22want to know. Well yeah, it was so genuine Cho
- 26:26Okay. Is it what we see on camera was
- 26:28real then? Yeah, kinda weird.
- 26:32Kind of the word like, as we were there.
- 26:35Okay. So it's that part's pretty
- 26:38right. So, yeah.
- 26:40Well, we both had quite a lot of fun there.
- 26:45Okay. So the show ends and then what
- 26:47you living together for a while and then it just, you just
- 26:50Discover, it doesn't work out and you move on or like talk to
- 26:53me a little bit about that the immediate aftermath Yeah, kind
- 27:01of, we were living a little bit together and so after some time
- 27:06we decided not to be together. Okay, fair enough.
- 27:12I got my, I got my, I said I wanted - oh okay, what know what
- 27:18I mean? What I'll elaborate.
- 27:20So like, I guess why? The reason I'm asking is like if
- 27:24if you guys are just like, literally that's it, it ends.
- 27:28As soon as the show ends It kind of supports that Narrative of
- 27:31like, okay, these shows are just a facade and there's nothing
- 27:35real about it, but it seems you guys like, you know, you stayed
- 27:38together after some time. It didn't work out.
- 27:42That more just suggest that it's just one of those things, but
- 27:45maybe there is like a evidence to kind of support that the
- 27:49concept works on some level. You know damn well yeah the
- 27:54concept in some level absolutely works and it may happen.
- 27:58I was absolutely prepared that it may happen as well but there
- 28:02was giving it an option, so it's an optional possibility.
- 28:08See you see? You were genuinely kind of
- 28:10sitting there thinking like, hey I might actually meet yes.
- 28:14The one or okay, cool, that's cool.
- 28:16That was part of the show there. Why?
- 28:19I part of the reason why I went there not full reason.
- 28:22But we'll get to that, but like I find that interesting special
- 28:27to sleep. A lot of the time when people do
- 28:29these types of shows, they are purely doing it just to get on
- 28:32TV which is, you know, that's fine.
- 28:34I understand that. I don't personally agree with
- 28:36that. But each to their own, I get
- 28:39that. Would you say that your partner
- 28:42or ex-partner was the same? Or did she have like, ulterior
- 28:46motives? Like, did you speak to her much
- 28:49about that? Like was she the same the same?
- 28:52Boat as you was. She like just wanted to find
- 28:54someone and be on TV or I was what was her reasons for doing
- 28:58it? Yeah, that was pretty similar.
- 29:00She came there to have some fun and be on TV.
- 29:04So so probably by the fun part. How do you guys when you did the
- 29:11show? Actually, well, I was a slight
- 29:14bit younger than I am right now so you don't have to sound so
- 29:20bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:23Listen to good old date. So what I mean I know you're
- 29:28just about 30 ish now and you give us.
- 29:31Oh yeah, I'm 32. So it was like I was like 27 at
- 29:35the time it was five years ago so yeah that's not too hard math
- 29:40problem here for those listening.
- 29:43I'm not demented. Yet for those listening on the
- 29:46podcast. Like you her looks kind of like
- 29:50I've never seen you looking barest before.
- 29:52This is Kind of funny. No, not embarrassed, but like,
- 29:56kind of like you're shy. And I've never seen that side of
- 29:59you before and as that's just funny to me, but it's cool.
- 30:03I like okay, no problem was your ex-partner?
- 30:07The same age older younger the time, the slightly younger.
- 30:13So there wasn't there wasn't much a gap.
- 30:16I suppose it's better that you guys were kind of like in your
- 30:18mid-20s as opposed to like early 20s or late teens or something
- 30:21because Think like by that point you don't I mean you're grown
- 30:25adults, you know what to expect to you're not going to get like
- 30:28necessarily exploited or something like that so that's a
- 30:33good thing but you went last for a moment.
- 30:40I love basically. I was just saying that you know
- 30:44it's a good thing that you that age and that you weren't.
- 30:47Yeah, yeah. So moving forward.
- 30:52Do you still get recognized for that particular appearance?
- 30:55Because I know that you've got like a bit of a following.
- 30:58So I guess you could say, sort of off the back of that.
- 31:02But as you said, you've been in the media, like I found remnants
- 31:05of you being in the media, from as early as like 2011, for like
- 31:09your artwork and stuff like that.
- 31:11So you've always kind of been even even earlier or somewhat
- 31:15right. Right?
- 31:15Right. But yeah, it was about something
- 31:19like that. Yes.
- 31:20But you get people sometimes, like stop you in the street and
- 31:22Just say like, oh yeah, you were on that show.
- 31:26You get like yes. Yes they do and also other
- 31:30follow-ups because I have more recent big roles as well.
- 31:35So so it's the recent stuff is the most likely cause of
- 31:42nowadays, recognizing, but at the time when the show aired
- 31:47then date was a lot of them on the street, like recognizing me
- 31:51and especially Specially when two of us were together.
- 31:54See ya. So, but even if I was somewhere
- 31:57real, I was recognized absolutely like, and in random
- 32:02places. What were people like where they
- 32:05likes positive? You know, supported like hey
- 32:08yeah, they were very positive. Yeah, absolutely.
- 32:11It was fun to meet them. Was there any like negative
- 32:14people or negatively? Nothing at all.
- 32:19That's all nothing. Bad tool.
- 32:21I feel like you're holding won't back here.
- 32:25Probably, they may have been some.
- 32:27Okay, share me like one story just like something crazy that
- 32:31happen because like, you always gets nothing crazy.
- 32:34There were just, some people were slightly bitter.
- 32:36That's about it, bit psycho? Yeah, I don't know.
- 32:40That's interesting. But what B it because, like, you
- 32:44were on TV and they weren't or something, or maybe, They are
- 32:48maybe not. I don't know.
- 32:50But they had some bitter taste a I tried to taste them so maybe
- 32:54that's the reason why the reason that purpose because better is a
- 32:59very interesting word to use in that context.
- 33:02Like it's like they were bitter. What did they know you?
- 33:05They're pissed off. Yeah, well someone there I
- 33:10didn't. That was the first word that
- 33:12came up with me so I don't have the same vocabulary.
- 33:18So I know there may be a gap. I'm a substitute, something like
- 33:23a euphemism, I meant more like cause obviously, normally when
- 33:26people use that word, it's like, okay.
- 33:28Someone that, you know, that's like jealous of you or something
- 33:31or envious of the fact that you're in the public eye or
- 33:34something like a because I've experienced that, I know people
- 33:36that have experienced as well. Like, you know, it's very common
- 33:40for people to act that way and you're always doing things.
- 33:45So, you know, it's not that far out there that maybe people
- 33:49would be like envious. Particularly, they're trying to
- 33:51do the same thing as you, you know, they're trying to get, no
- 33:54be no. All right, all right.
- 33:58That's yeah. So let's talk in the reasons
- 34:01like why you wanted to be on the show.
- 34:02Now obviously we know that you were obviously looking for
- 34:04someone but I think the if we're really honest here, the main
- 34:08reason is that you wanted to kind of get some attention and
- 34:12this nation was like both of them, right.
- 34:17But when you did your interview I think again with Chronicle
- 34:20afterwards, you said that, you sort of turn to this series
- 34:24primarily to get famous. But do you think there is Okay,
- 34:32I'm going to rephrase how I asked this question. a lot,
- 34:38there's different things that you've done, you know, to get in
- 34:41the public eye, which I would say, are not really like
- 34:46Necessarily like a deliberate attempt to get in the public.
- 34:49Eye is just like you know if you're doing acting naturally
- 34:51you're going to be in the public eye if you're doing no and our
- 34:55exhibition. And you're standing there with
- 34:57your art, then yeah. People were going to see you.
- 35:00People going to know you, right? Absolutely.
- 35:02Like in the back. Like right.
- 35:05Right. Right.
- 35:05But this I feel is and I'm just going to be honest, I'm not
- 35:12trying to know you but this is kind of a very deliberate
- 35:14attempt to get You know, some attention towards yourself,
- 35:18right? So, do you not think that
- 35:20there's kind of A line in terms of like how far someone should
- 35:25go to get famous, do you have a limit?
- 35:29Is there like a limit for you or will you do anything to get
- 35:34attention to anything? I wouldn't do anything.
- 35:37I wouldn't do like, absolutely anything.
- 35:40So, there's definitely a line that I will not violate.
- 35:46So I have many, many lines in my life, which I have a pretty
- 35:51strict policy about. And pretty strict discipline how
- 35:56I work. So and that's how I work by.
- 36:00Give me some examples of like things that you like, okay?
- 36:04So have you ever been offered anything that you've kind of
- 36:06turned down where you would have got attention for it, but you
- 36:09would like night, doesn't it goes against what I believe in
- 36:11or something? Well, yeah, we're fits.
- 36:21I have so. Do you have any examples?
- 36:28I like some of the some some some stuff that does doesn't
- 36:37justify the hustle. Okay.
- 36:41Right. So.
- 36:42But that's that's less about morals.
- 36:45That you're, I think you're coming more at it from the
- 36:47perspective of like or this is a waste of time kind of thing.
- 36:50Well, yeah, I order a moral violation, I haven't been
- 36:54offered anything that violates my morals that much, but some if
- 37:00I don't fancy doing it, I don't fancy doing it.
- 37:04So one like a horror movie was a think that I turned down.
- 37:09So Or what was your reason for turning that down, for example,
- 37:13like I didn't like the concept of it.
- 37:17So, it was just the story. It wasn't like, a moral thing,
- 37:21it was just like, you just didn't like the idea.
- 37:23Yeah, I didn't like the idea and I figured I'll skip it, okay,
- 37:29but give me some examples of like instances where it went
- 37:34against your morals, or your beliefs and what and why it was
- 37:37like that. Well in this case if it goes
- 37:43like that then I will not apply to the role anyway.
- 37:47So I don't tend to get those offers too much.
- 37:51So you it's rarely when I'm invited to do something and
- 37:57usually I apply the Rolle's myself so the moderation is
- 38:02already been made by me. It is the Fault level.
- 38:07You don't get to give me. We think here are you wishing
- 38:12you? And your just get you can you
- 38:14can you can be, come on, hit me he give me your line.
- 38:20Get, what's your line? What like let's let's play a
- 38:24role like a role concept for a second.
- 38:26Let's, let's say, I say to you, I don't know.
- 38:31Would you do like porn or something?
- 38:33Or would you do? I don't know.
- 38:35Depends on the kind of porn. Right?
- 38:40So you would consider doing that.
- 38:41Then yes, I'd like to do a Robotics and porn stuff.
- 38:46I'm working with erotic art. So porn is not a great leap at
- 38:51all. This isn't you?
- 38:53Joking? You genuinely would do porn if
- 38:56the offer was right there. Yes, of course.
- 38:58I do. I wouldn't do any type of porn,
- 39:01like, I don't like to do like, which I'm not doing, like a gay
- 39:08porn or Think shit like that. So, okay, normal normal porn, I
- 39:13would. Yeah, of course I would do it.
- 39:17I was not expecting that. It's practically a lot of fun.
- 39:21Okay. And yeah, well, I mean, I just
- 39:24gave that as an example of like something that maybe most many,
- 39:29people might say, as like, all this is against my beliefs or
- 39:32something. But is, is there anything that
- 39:34like you would draw the line at that, you're like, no, I will
- 39:37not do this. Well, I don't know what this
- 39:41line means to you. Okay.
- 39:46Well, okay for me. Like I would I wouldn't do porn
- 39:51because for that specific well for that specifically is because
- 39:57it would exist forever, you know, so like my grant, if I had
- 40:00kids grandkids, then they would see that and then I just
- 40:03wouldn't like it. I don't know.
- 40:05It would just bother me on some level personally but you do have
- 40:09great potential for a porn name. You could name yourself,
- 40:13Christian, Philip crane dream. I like that, that would make an
- 40:24excellent porn name, maybe you should use it as a pick up line
- 40:28now and on streets or something, of all the things we thought we
- 40:32would be talking about. I never imagined it would be
- 40:34this is inevitable. Yeah it's inevitable that you
- 40:43always get dick. Some new lever out of me that
- 40:48you're never saw coming. It just fascinates me to be
- 40:52honest if any had absolutely because Well, how much more is
- 40:56there to use? Is this one?
- 40:57Well, I don't know that even I don't know because I don't know
- 41:01what I'm going to learn next. So so I constantly keep
- 41:07developing and I'm constantly looking and hunting down my week
- 41:12sites and polishing on my strong side.
- 41:16So it depends and and some people who know me for 20 years
- 41:22or something they still are Our are surprised by something to
- 41:27which they didn't expect or didn't know.
- 41:31That's generally a positive thing, though, isn't it?
- 41:33I mean, I think if, if you've never changed in 10 years, 20
- 41:36years, I think there's probably something drastically wrong with
- 41:39your life. Absolutely.
- 41:42I call it a stiff, like you would be, it's like pink date
- 41:47for me. Fair play.
- 41:53Okay wait and just since we're still were talking about you
- 41:57know like porn and stuff like that, you're our, okay.
- 42:04So I'm going to preface this by saying I've received a bunch of
- 42:07questions that from the internet that people want to ask you.
- 42:11I will. Okay.
- 42:11I will keep the money. I'll keep I'll keep them
- 42:14Anonymous. But one person, one person
- 42:17wanted to know. Why do you think that?
- 42:20Your more recent art is more kind of nude orientated and I'm
- 42:25actually I it's like more nude orientated.
- 42:28So it's okay. So you you paint a lot of like,
- 42:32you know, naked women and yes, suggestive, erotic kind of art,
- 42:38but this is something that you've done more recently, more
- 42:41recent years that you didn't always used to do stuff - well,
- 42:46that's wrong. That's but it.
- 42:50It's like you've always done are like that.
- 42:52Always. Well, if I said recently, is it
- 42:57based on my statement? No, no.
- 43:00This, this is something that someone has noticed, like
- 43:03someone that regularly checks out your art and they've kind of
- 43:06noticed that and I've noticed this too.
- 43:10So like in the more recent years you've created more erotic
- 43:14imagery and like make no women and stuff.
- 43:17Nope I have created them about On stable level but I have done
- 43:23some maybe a cyclically i cycle between different topics.
- 43:29So 1. I do one like Auntie Spirits.
- 43:34Very I do one more and one subject and I might do more on
- 43:38the other subject, but all the subjects are pretty much one
- 43:44same size, same sized like portion of Of my artwork that
- 43:53that I have always done. So doing nude artworks, goes
- 43:58back since forever. Now, this is interesting because
- 44:02when we were talking about this in the podcast last time and
- 44:06also just our conversations in real life, you kind of to me,
- 44:11always gave the impression that you just paint, you know,
- 44:13whatever you feel like paying at a particular time, but this kind
- 44:16of suggests that Every year, you have, I guess like a rough plan
- 44:23because you're saying, cyclically.
- 44:25So what is that by season or something?
- 44:28Land, it's not Bland. I I just paint what I feel like
- 44:33and I vary between there's subjects.
- 44:37So maybe that impression has been been created because of I
- 44:44have maybe done them more at the time.
- 44:48Turn the measurement was taken. Okay, maybe so and so is false.
- 44:55It is just a case of like our one month, you just happened to
- 44:59be paying a lot of like naked. Yeah, absolutely.
- 45:02That's typically the case, some some run found baked been
- 45:07painting more horses and some month from painting more dogs so
- 45:13or some month and painting more fish.
- 45:15So it varies but yeah. Yeah, that may be absolutely be
- 45:19the case to probe into this a bit more because I think what
- 45:22this person really wanted to know, and I want to know this
- 45:25too, is, why do you paint that stuff?
- 45:28Like it's that specifically because it's not something.
- 45:31You always commonly see? Artists do.
- 45:34It's I guess one could view it as like almost taboo.
- 45:37Like I don't personally think of it like that.
- 45:40If anything I just kind of find it interesting.
- 45:42You know art is are at the end of the day but why do you paint
- 45:47that kind of stuff? Like is it like an just a
- 45:51personal enjoyment or do you have?
- 45:53Like a particular, I don't know, fascination with the female body
- 45:58or like, why do you paint that? That nude stuff that erotic
- 46:01stuff, like what are the reasons?
- 46:08Now for my favorite subjects. Oh, I think we lost you there.
- 46:12Can you just repeat that? I like painting, erotic stuff.
- 46:17It's one of my favorite subjects.
- 46:20Okay, but why? Because I like that's about it.
- 46:25That's it. Just a simple as that.
- 46:26They just follow my own nature. And what I feel like to paint
- 46:32thats what I paint. Okay, well, you Sur paint a lot
- 46:37of Famous people as well. You do like sketches of people.
- 46:42Yes, you do a lot of like a famous Estonian musicians and
- 46:44such. Is there any particular reason
- 46:46for that? Is that just kind of?
- 46:48I mean right now I can see a like half of a picture of Donald
- 46:51Trump in the background on your wall, on my office wall right
- 46:56over there, right? Yeah that's I have a few
- 46:59portrays they are pretty small sized usually but yeah I like to
- 47:04make my own takes on famous people. people, most of them are
- 47:09somehow some sort of They have inspired me somehow okay, I
- 47:17don't do just anybody. I only do them who actually
- 47:22inspire me with their personality or something
- 47:26something they had have achieved something that they have done
- 47:31and I also have four books by or about Donald Trump so he's one
- 47:38of my favorite characters since I don't know how long.
- 47:42Trusting. Okay.
- 47:43Okay, moving for now this I found interesting as well.
- 47:49Someone wanted to know. Are you a Christian?
- 47:53Are you religious at all? Well, I'm not a religious person
- 47:57quite religion actually like, confuses me too much, so I don't
- 48:02count myself a religious person, okay.
- 48:06But do you have any particular, beliefs, or anything, or you
- 48:10just kind of I mean not for me personally I'll tell you mine.
- 48:14Like if I'm very kind of open-minded, I kind of take
- 48:18little things from everything but I'd never kind of stick to
- 48:21one particular Lane. I just like to keep my mind open
- 48:25but the reason that this question came about was that
- 48:29someone had noticed that I think you you had like some
- 48:32Gravitation towards. I can maybe do some Christians
- 48:35site somewhere or something that was Christian.
- 48:37So they wondered if you perhaps religious, but Talk to me a
- 48:42little bit about like, not particularly love lat, so I
- 48:48don't count myself to religious. Okay.
- 48:51Fair enough. I'm more like a philosophical
- 48:54person. I think that.
- 48:57Yeah. Me too.
- 48:58Fair play. Fair play.
- 49:00All right. Well that play.
- 49:05Do you think that sort of TV formats these days and you know,
- 49:11just shows in general. I like a friendly environment to
- 49:14work in. So let's I would say let's let's
- 49:17focus on Estonia like typically speaking when you're on a set
- 49:22more specifically with TV shows, do you do you feel kind of
- 49:25comfortable? Is it nice to be there or I
- 49:29don't know. Is it is it shit?
- 49:30Eid is are things that you don't like like talk to us a little
- 49:33bit about that. Hold on.
- 49:42That was a little bit vague. Well okay let me see.
- 49:47What do you mean by that? Like I think what this person
- 49:50means is because I've seen you on on like you know behind the
- 49:53scenes on certain TV shows and Estonia and such and I think
- 49:56what they mean is when you're let's say in the crowd for
- 50:02something or your Maybe you're actually acting on not acting
- 50:06like you're on a TV show. Actually know, come to think of
- 50:08it. You have done some stuff in more
- 50:10recent years, I think a year or two ago.
- 50:12You were on something that might have been on like Deborah Cox or
- 50:17something like that or gone on got seriously.
- 50:21Yes, I remember, I don't remember what it was called.
- 50:25It was a well. Okay, maybe I have been on, like
- 50:29I've been on hundreds of filming sand.
- 50:34Different sets. So okay there are slightly
- 50:37different so I don't know whether that's good.
- 50:40That's that kind of feeds into what I'm saying here.
- 50:42So like all of those TV shows shows that you were part of was
- 50:47it a friendly environment to work in Well, it's any set
- 50:53environment. It's always like a friendly
- 50:57place to work with. I can handle it, I I can
- 51:03understand what's going on there.
- 51:05I know what to do II. Get the point, what we're doing,
- 51:09we're to be how to be. So I get understanding how the
- 51:15set works, and I can figure it out on a different set in in a
- 51:19few moments. So, Yeah, definitely.
- 51:23Well, I'm not a drag there. So if you're a dragon asset,
- 51:27then you may even get to experience a little bit
- 51:30unfriendly. So well, if you're not a drag,
- 51:34you, you'll have a different experience.
- 51:37So, depends. Absolutely.
- 51:39I agree, your skill level and set.
- 51:42I agree with you. I mean, given the I know you
- 51:46want a more personal about, I can sort of say that you're the
- 51:48type of person that it doesn't matter if you're on your own.
- 51:50Rona with people, you're having a good time.
- 51:53You're happy. But, you know, I guess it's
- 51:57different for different people, but have you never experienced
- 52:00anything - then on a TV set? You know, I don't know, maybe
- 52:04unprofessional people, or I don't know, bad conditions or
- 52:10just I mean because what this person is I think what they're
- 52:12trying to get to is maybe certain shows have like a
- 52:16negative environment or something like that.
- 52:19All they're not pleasant to be. Are you saying that you just
- 52:22never noticed that or experienced?
- 52:25That or is it more? Just like if you did you just
- 52:29don't care. I don't know, I I haven't been
- 52:40on a set with a negative environment that also, there's
- 52:44always a positive grew and it's always a pleasant experience.
- 52:49Okay. Let's do that.
- 52:51Well, depends on how much effort goes on my part.
- 52:56So, last time on action movie, I injured my back.
- 53:02The suit slightly by scratching it up on a wall but that was a
- 53:10minor downside. I didn't feel it on the set I
- 53:14felt it afterwards when I sat in the car.
- 53:17So yeah. So but yeah, it was fun.
- 53:21I made a picture of my back and put it on the Instagram as well
- 53:24like but sometimes you have to like pay for the role by Blood,
- 53:35I guess so, but that's pretty extreme.
- 53:37Well yeah, I that's not the first injury and when I'm going
- 53:42to the set time, also mentally prepared to get the injured and
- 53:47still continue playing so. So I'm already prepared for the
- 53:56for like overcoming pain or something because it may
- 54:02Happened. So what kind of injuries have
- 54:04you had? In addition to that?
- 54:06Then like what other injuries if you had not nothing really
- 54:12serious, just bumps bruises and scratches and and some minor no
- 54:20rubbing. Some some Footwear and
- 54:24unsuitable that Rob's a hole into my leg or something.
- 54:29So that makes a stepping a little bit hairy.
- 54:32Yeah, so yeah. So I have to play overcoming
- 54:36some level of pain as a result of falling into something like a
- 54:44one, one scene, I fell into the thali rails.
- 54:49Nice first, so so yeah. Yeah, I must carry holding
- 54:57another man. So I fell down under And I
- 55:03managed to slow him down enough that he didn't get hurt rag.
- 55:08Like slipped up away from under my foot planted, then I lost
- 55:13balance and fell into the dolly rails.
- 55:17And well, after getting up, I will continue playing few more
- 55:21takes and as we got it finished. So, but yeah, it didn't break
- 55:26the character or anything nobody knew.
- 55:29I got hurt because it wasn't me. Rational, it wasn't my plan to
- 55:35break character or anything to? Yeah, exactly.
- 55:40I play my fellow. Good on you.
- 55:43All right, now, I've never actually asked you about this
- 55:48not even on a personal level so this is going to be funny.
- 55:51I wasn't even really sure how to ask this question because I'm
- 55:55still kind of wrapping my brains around this a couple of months
- 55:59back. I don't know how long ago you
- 56:01decided. it's start the search for, like, The only way I can
- 56:06describe this is like a female companion, right?
- 56:10As I understand from like a TV type show or YouTube show,
- 56:14something like that. We do.
- 56:15Yes. But you would produce, right?
- 56:17Yeah. And solutely, as I understand in
- 56:20Estonia Media, or maybe, just in Estonia in general, I don't
- 56:24know. Someone said to me, that it
- 56:27created a little bit of controversy.
- 56:29And as I said, yeah, that the reason for this is because of,
- 56:33like, your wording in terms of the You will.
- 56:36Okay. You were looking specifically
- 56:39for an athletic sort of good-looking woman.
- 56:45Absolutely right to play your counterpart to talk to me.
- 56:52What the hell is this show? What is what you trying to do
- 56:55here? That's that's my own idea like
- 57:03worked out this idea. like to find like, Find like that other
- 57:14part for my life. So I might taste is actually
- 57:20sort of athletic who I am. I'm physically active person, so
- 57:26don't hold us. So so I do like to have a
- 57:30partner who was like similar to. This is just a search for a
- 57:36girlfriend. Is that what?
- 57:37Yeah, exactly. Pretty much.
- 57:42Yeah, that's ambitious. It's not the thing that.
- 57:46Yeah, it will be a show, but it's also to find you a
- 57:49girlfriend. Yeah, of course, it will be.
- 57:54I will, I will make it a show. So, do you okay Playing devil's
- 57:59advocate for a second? Do you not think you're being a
- 58:01little bit sort of shallow in putting in your advert?
- 58:05Like, she needs to be athletic and good-looking.
- 58:08And I mean, some people might say that, A bit shallow or a
- 58:12bit, you know. Yeah.
- 58:15Something like that. Well, yeah, depends.
- 58:18There's always something that can be improved.
- 58:21So, so too much in depth, won't be like necessary either.
- 58:29So, I'm his rights keep great. Darius, has to be out but some
- 58:34criteria, scan conflicts, a little bit like which is like,
- 58:38people might say to you as well like well, you know, you're
- 58:42nothing special like you know, look at you.
- 58:45Maybe you need to be more athletic, maybe you need to be
- 58:48better looking like, you know, people might have that kind of
- 58:52opinion, why not right? But I don't care, you don't
- 58:55care. Yeah I know what I want.
- 58:57So I don't know whether it's a person who doesn't if a person
- 59:04doesn't like me. Then we're learned something
- 59:08like let's find that out quick. Okay.
- 59:11But like what, what exactly are you trying to do?
- 59:15With. Okay, you're trying to find a
- 59:16girlfriend fine. Yes, it's a bit mad but I mean
- 59:20maybe it will work. Maybe, I don't know, right.
- 59:24But like what is the show actually going to be as it going
- 59:26to be like, documentary-style like filming you trying to find
- 59:29a girlfriend and then like what what's what is it like?
- 59:35Because when I first read The Advertiser, thought it was just
- 59:38a show, a fictional show and you just wanted a female.
- 59:43Well it nope. Okay.
- 59:45All right, so it's not. It can be a kind of can be made
- 59:49a fiction as well. So to bake, like videos and
- 59:54public thinks on video together. Like so aye-aye the main
- 1:00:02requirement is like public performance experience.
- 1:00:07So that's main requirement. It is Okay, so, it's not just a
- 1:00:15girlfriend. Then you're kind of almost
- 1:00:16looking for like a colleague, someone to do what you do.
- 1:00:21Well, yeah, who says the sheriff's there?
- 1:00:24Same lifestyle because it otherwise, maybe conflicting, if
- 1:00:31I have a shy girl friend, who is maybe like unwilling to be
- 1:00:39performing anywhere or may actually become later.
- 1:00:44On sabotaging me. Like I have experienced that
- 1:00:49with a girlfriend who was shy and I was a public person and
- 1:00:54that girlfriend actually went to Links like that she actually
- 1:00:58refused to photograph me because she didn't want other people to
- 1:01:04see pictures of me. So I must be crazy.
- 1:01:08That's that's that's the point where she actually committed
- 1:01:12suicide in. Russian ship terms in my eyes.
- 1:01:18What a way to put a okay. Yeah.
- 1:01:20If you if a girlfriend tries to sabotage me, that's that's a
- 1:01:26signal for me to throw her out. I mean, I wouldn't have quite
- 1:01:31put it the way you put it, but I get your sentiment there.
- 1:01:34It's basically like it. You need someone who supports
- 1:01:37you and doesn't as you exactly as you.
- 1:01:40Yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody without an experience
- 1:01:44of public performing can The have understanding even so it's
- 1:01:51required to have experience of public performing on camera or
- 1:01:56in in front of masses, okay? All right, have you had much
- 1:02:01success with this in terms of the application process?
- 1:02:05Well, hey, it's pretty, it's pretty interesting.
- 1:02:08Hopefully, I can get something worked out but have you had
- 1:02:12people apply and have you had some rest?
- 1:02:14Well, I had some Okay. Interest going up but I'm not in
- 1:02:20a hurry so but okay, I get that but like talk to me a little bit
- 1:02:23about this audition process because right you're a bit of an
- 1:02:27eccentric person. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:02:30Right. Right.
- 1:02:31So what do you put these poor women through?
- 1:02:35Like what? I've just been very easy but
- 1:02:42there are Cho is one of the essential thing to get.
- 1:02:46Through exploring is very essential thing to get through,
- 1:02:51hold on, hold on. So you saying pretty much as far
- 1:02:55as it goes there's no nothing worse than that, okay?
- 1:03:01So you just take them along with you on your regular thing.
- 1:03:05Yes, absolutely. Okay.
- 1:03:08All right because a person who's not unwilling or incapable to be
- 1:03:13with me, can't be with me. Okay, this is a bit of a random
- 1:03:18question, but hypothetically, let's say you find someone who
- 1:03:23is perfect professionally like they, they want to do everything
- 1:03:26with you. You know.
- 1:03:27They want to improve your art show.
- 1:03:29Do you're exploring do whatever. Like they're just, they work
- 1:03:31with you very well but for whatever reason, you just don't
- 1:03:35connect. Relationship-wise, are you going
- 1:03:37to maybe, okay, you're gonna discount people like that or no?
- 1:03:42Okay, They also work fine, any show guests will work fine as
- 1:03:50well. Like, I guess what?
- 1:03:53I'm trying to say is like, do they have to be your girlfriend
- 1:03:57to be? Do they have to be your
- 1:03:59girlfriend to be like successful?
- 1:04:03Understand. Okay.
- 1:04:04So like They need to be dating you to be working with you.
- 1:04:11No. Not at all novice.
- 1:04:14So the it's kind of in a way I guess because I think that's
- 1:04:17what's drawing a lot of controversy for you with this.
- 1:04:22Because for me, I just think it's kind of funny.
- 1:04:24I don't really see anything harmful in it, to be honest, but
- 1:04:27I can understand that other people might look at it and be
- 1:04:29like, that's a bit, you know, what's this guy doing?
- 1:04:33Kind of thing? But I mean to me it seems very
- 1:04:34harmless. It's like you're kind of saying,
- 1:04:36well, I want One that I can work with who absolutely right who
- 1:04:40supports me and hey if you get along we get along and great
- 1:04:43like that's an added bonus, kind of thing.
- 1:04:46Well, yeah, it's not exactly a work, gets a, like, a lifestyle
- 1:04:50and who doesn't understand it is like, do you consider your like
- 1:04:55public Life as a work or lifestyle?
- 1:05:00Or a combination of them. That's a very good question, you
- 1:05:03know. That's hmm.
- 1:05:06Fair play, fair play. We'll listen.
- 1:05:10Thank you very much for being so sort of candid and forthcoming
- 1:05:14with your answers. I know.
- 1:05:15Okay, I know I've grilled you a little bit here and there but to
- 1:05:18me that's just fine. I like grilling, I think, if
- 1:05:22anything what we have established is that Is very
- 1:05:27positive again. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:05:29Like I had I wouldn't say doubts with this but I was looking at
- 1:05:34some of these things. Like I'm interested to know what
- 1:05:36you're going to say. Like genuinely, just because I'm
- 1:05:39curious and I think you just come off across very well with a
- 1:05:43lot of this. It just seems that you have very
- 1:05:45honest intentions and I think that's kind of the key with this
- 1:05:48General. I mean, it's like it's very easy
- 1:05:50for people to assume things based on like if we take
- 1:05:54solutely, yeah, if we take that as an example, That advert when
- 1:05:58I first saw that advert, I just laughed.
- 1:06:00I thought it was funny but I didn't really I didn't really
- 1:06:04get it because I didn't look into it like a lot.
- 1:06:06But I kept seeing people making comments.
- 1:06:09Well yeah, absolutely. You did.
- 1:06:12That wasn't even for you because I'm looking good girlfriend.
- 1:06:16Not you. So you were in the park at group
- 1:06:21anyway? Yeah.
- 1:06:22Yeah. But what I mean is like, unless
- 1:06:26Really sit down and talk to you and figure out like okay, this
- 1:06:30is exactly what he's looking for.
- 1:06:32It's not something. Yes, there's not an ulterior
- 1:06:36motive, there's not like something sinister, it's just a
- 1:06:39guy as you said I think that is absolutely putting it best is
- 1:06:43life for the I thought about the same thing like how to
- 1:06:48communicate the best part best I can but I do see room for
- 1:06:54improvement but everybody who's making?
- 1:06:56Oh God, their theories is making 30 erase paste on themselves,
- 1:07:01and their own experience, and these are real relevant in my
- 1:07:06life. Fair play, fair play.
- 1:07:10So during this product class to a close, do you have anything
- 1:07:14coming up? Any major projects that we
- 1:07:16should know about? Now's your time to plug, plug
- 1:07:19plug? Let us know what's coming up or
- 1:07:21any final thoughts you'd like to share.
- 1:07:24Listen up. Final thoughts.
- 1:07:28Well, I don't have anything much concrete, but hey, that's a good
- 1:07:33thing. Refrain from saying that, the
- 1:07:35whole podcast, only once a fair play.
- 1:07:37Oh yeah. Absolutely.
- 1:07:40I made to exploring videos today.
- 1:07:42So, I had a dose of daily dose of concrete fixed.
- 1:07:46So it actually, I will ask a final question on that.
- 1:07:50Do you feel Is it any different for you?
- 1:07:53Doing it alone? Because I feel like I can't
- 1:07:55really do it alone or I feel uncomfortable.
- 1:07:58Doing it alone. Personally, like, I'm kind of
- 1:08:00waiting until I can build either a crew or like a solid person
- 1:08:04that I can go with what additions and stuff.
- 1:08:07It does help. It does help to go with somebody
- 1:08:12going alone is is not that good. I can do it, but parts of things
- 1:08:21I can't do. Alone.
- 1:08:23So it will most likely be better with with somebody but depends
- 1:08:28on the somebody who who's to somebody like we you it was
- 1:08:34absolutely possible but with somebody who don't understand
- 1:08:39where they are, and what they see who don't have any awareness
- 1:08:45of anything, can't sit speak, anything that's just as good as
- 1:08:50being alone, but with you, you You were the most effective
- 1:08:54effective video Partners, so far.
- 1:08:56So we had those things. What we had was special baby, it
- 1:09:01was something magical. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 1:09:05We got some something cooking there, you got it, you got the,
- 1:09:09you got the show part, you got the Talking part.
- 1:09:11You got pretty much everything gets its blood sugar or an
- 1:09:16interesting person to go with with some a lot of potential.
- 1:09:21So it It works. It doesn't work with just
- 1:09:25anybody who are not a performer, it won't be working, some will
- 1:09:29be talented, but but that they will show promise.
- 1:09:33Definitely, I agree with you and I don't just think it's urbex as
- 1:09:38well. I think in all types of content
- 1:09:40creation you need someone who yes.
- 1:09:43Preferably is doing the same thing as you like just gets it
- 1:09:46so you don't have to sit and explain.
- 1:09:47Well, hey, yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
- 1:09:52I didn't have to explain you anything.
- 1:09:54I could explain you. Why the blocks are there?
- 1:09:57Like, we could discuss their architecture and the layout of
- 1:10:00the concrete or the plan or something?
- 1:10:02Yeah, that's you got it. Like, I think this is because I
- 1:10:06was obsessed with history and I love stuff and for some reason I
- 1:10:09just love abandoned places. I don't know what it is.
- 1:10:12It's just can't explain how it do.
- 1:10:14I like those. I think I went making videos
- 1:10:18today. He's just an interesting
- 1:10:20concept, isn't it? Because like some places So
- 1:10:22obvious why it's been abandoned. And, you know, the story usually
- 1:10:25just be like, oh, close down people left, whatever, right.
- 1:10:28But when it's been like so long and it's, it's still sitting
- 1:10:31there derelict, it's just weird. It's like, why is it saying
- 1:10:35that, why hasn't it been destroyed?
- 1:10:37Like what, like, like if we take that abandoned Bible school, as
- 1:10:43an example that we discussed at the beginning?
- 1:10:45Like absolutely. You know, we said in the video,
- 1:10:48I think you said that it's actually owned by someone.
- 1:10:52And it has been for the last 15 years.
- 1:10:55It's just yeah, just whatever, they're not doing anything with
- 1:10:57it. And someone asked me if I was
- 1:11:01actually recently and I said that, I based on what you told
- 1:11:05me, what other people were saying, it kind of seemed.
- 1:11:07And also just what I understand in Estonia, I think it's just a
- 1:11:10case of like, you know, A combination of things like a, it
- 1:11:16could be a funding issue. Sometimes that happens where
- 1:11:18you're working on something and then you just don't have the
- 1:11:20money to finish it. So you just leave it there until
- 1:11:23such a time as you do and also purpose-built like, you know, as
- 1:11:27I said at the beginning again people in the comments of when
- 1:11:31you shared the video with saying that like, you know, there was
- 1:11:33intentions to make it into like a care home or something and
- 1:11:36then, okay, you know, maybe maybe it's changed, maybe I
- 1:11:40don't know. People change their minds or
- 1:11:42whatever the case Maybe but it just having something like that.
- 1:11:46Just sitting there is weird and especially, to be honest with
- 1:11:52you, I'm very surprised with a lot of those bunkers that I like
- 1:11:56the fact that there's so many of them in Estonia.
- 1:12:00Just sitting there doing nothing.
- 1:12:03I mean, to me, it seems like I said, this to you in person, I
- 1:12:06don't think I've ever said this on the podcast, or in my videos,
- 1:12:09really buddy. I think it's just a wasted
- 1:12:11opportunity. In terms of, you know, it's
- 1:12:15another way you can explore Torres tourist opportunities and
- 1:12:19Estonia can say, hey, look at all this history that we have
- 1:12:23and obviously yeah but like not not properly janata mean like if
- 1:12:28it were me if I was going to take see where we have urbex are
- 1:12:32like tourist company is here working, that is working with
- 1:12:37doing Explorations like this for like interest fashion.
- 1:12:44Really. Yes, what are they called?
- 1:12:47What's the name was something exploration, Al was in their
- 1:12:54name? I have to, I have to search it.
- 1:12:57They have also a Facebook page and something like that.
- 1:12:59So they are selling tickets for the tour's Into the Bunker.
- 1:13:05Send stuff that we were visited. Pretty much just jokes.
- 1:13:09That is actually jokes. That then like I respect that I
- 1:13:12think that that's what should happen.
- 1:13:15Although to be honest, what I was going to say is that I think
- 1:13:18that those places firstly, need to be like cleaned up like get
- 1:13:21rid of all the trash that's in there, clean it up and make it
- 1:13:24safe and then work on kind of displaying it, you know, getting
- 1:13:29Lighting in there. Like, for example, that place
- 1:13:32that we checked out a couple of places that the big tunnels that
- 1:13:37we saw the big underground tunnel things, the big hundred
- 1:13:42year olds, Bunker that we saw. That was quite close to that
- 1:13:47abandoned Bible school. You know, where the one where
- 1:13:50you were kind of annoyed? Do you remember when you were
- 1:13:52like all this kind of pisses me off?
- 1:13:53Like that, there was trash so far and deep in the forest and
- 1:13:57like, I agreed with you? I was a bit like someone has
- 1:14:00really gone out of their way to like, dump this stuff here.
- 1:14:03I think if you would like, like I said, clear it up, get some
- 1:14:07some artificial Lighting in there and just kind of display
- 1:14:10it and keep, you know, kind of well I have it.
- 1:14:13Yeah, that's Well. It's abandoned place.
- 1:14:23So I like it, don't do it on that trashy, way to go in with a
- 1:14:27flashlight. So, that's pretty much what they
- 1:14:30are doing as well. Just as we are going in day or
- 1:14:33take tourists in Fair Play. And make sure you send me the
- 1:14:37link to that. And when this pot, yeah, you
- 1:14:40signed it, I see it all the time on my Facebook, but I I haven't
- 1:14:45really search for it. I just Found it somehow.
- 1:14:48Oh, make sure it's included in the links because that's
- 1:14:50actually pretty interesting. I think I've always thought that
- 1:14:53like I said in Estonia that would be a great way to just
- 1:14:57further kind of perpetuate everything that Estonia has to
- 1:15:02offer because I think that like historically there is a lot to
- 1:15:05offer and oh yeah, absolutely. There are a lot of places that
- 1:15:09are just you know destroyed and just need to be cleaned up but
- 1:15:12there was a lot of them that are standing their relatively
- 1:15:16intact. I could see, you know, they do
- 1:15:18need to be cleaned up, like I said, but you know, largely, you
- 1:15:22know, promising and could be revamped and also used for other
- 1:15:26purposes as well. Like me.
- 1:15:28And you often would say to each other.
- 1:15:30Like you could use this for a music event or a rave or never
- 1:15:34like, you know, there's a bunker re-baited, absolutely.
- 1:15:37Like I remember thinking about the bunker party like making an
- 1:15:40orbit that then like I remember when I first used started going
- 1:15:44to Estonia years ago, I Is told that but that I prison, which
- 1:15:50for anyone who doesn't know, it is a prison and abandoned Soviet
- 1:15:53prison in Estonia, which is quite close to delos Gibby,
- 1:16:01which is like the, nope, it is quite close.
- 1:16:05You can walk there. It's a close to Delena heil.
- 1:16:09Yeah, and that is give you is neither it's all in the rough
- 1:16:13immediate area. No.
- 1:16:15Yeah, well yeah, it's close enough.
- 1:16:18They're all in Tallinn. All right.
- 1:16:19But what I mean by close enough is that walking distance.
- 1:16:23I could walk from Linna high level to tell us?
- 1:16:26Give ya do that? Do?
- 1:16:28Absolutely. That's kind of more I meant,
- 1:16:30right? Yeah.
- 1:16:31It's all yeah. I mean, I supposed to write
- 1:16:33immediately speaking immediately speaking.
- 1:16:35But I prisoners is near a kind of I don't know what to call it.
- 1:16:40I guess. It's like a market, a fish, a
- 1:16:43fish market, something like that.
- 1:16:46Remember correctly. There's look at what I remember
- 1:16:49about is there's like a little market area and then there's
- 1:16:51like, oh yeah. Yeah, that's the next Lena.
- 1:16:54I'll that's a little Harbor there.
- 1:16:56Yeah, you're right, right, right, right.
- 1:16:59Oh excellent. That's good.
- 1:17:02So yeah, there's all of the stuff leading up there and you
- 1:17:05know and basically what I've heard is that they do Raves
- 1:17:08Occasionally or they did. But that I prison and before I
- 1:17:12left Estonia, I remember seeing that they'd kind of put some
- 1:17:17money into things like putting up signs and stuff around the
- 1:17:22prison and kind of working on the tourist or element of it.
- 1:17:26But it seems that it's not really used for those Raves or
- 1:17:32those events anymore. It's just purely, you know, a
- 1:17:37tourist attraction and No charge to go in there and stuff, but
- 1:17:40you know, I always thought as a bit of shame but then I'd heard
- 1:17:43that it was more to do with safety reasons that they don't
- 1:17:45do the rage there anymore because it is an old building.
- 1:17:49But yeah, it just, I think things like that are always
- 1:17:56always good. You know, in terms of giving a
- 1:17:58location like a multi-purpose reason for existing, you know
- 1:18:03what I mean? Like not just tours, but also
- 1:18:06other things. Oh yeah.
- 1:18:10Yeah. Yeah, this has been this has
- 1:18:13been interesting. You hon.
- 1:18:15You know thank you so much for this.
- 1:18:17You're welcome. Yeah, and I want to say a big
- 1:18:22thank you to everyone who sent in the questions, want to say
