- 1:15Speaker 3: Well, according to this thing that I'm reading, it's not

- 1:22Speaker 3: super excited about.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Is it rarely?
- 1:24Speaker 3: But the most popular toy of the year might be Buttface.
- 1:32Speaker 3: It's a squishy doll type thing named Chester Cheeks. And
- 1:36Speaker 3: they love it because it looks like a butt and
- 1:38Speaker 3: it makes fart sounds.
- 1:40Speaker 1: You know what? You're just describing it and I immediately
- 1:42Speaker 1: thought my nephew Bennett would love this. I don't even
- 1:46Speaker 1: have to see it. He would love that. You just
- 1:50Speaker 1: showed me a video. He would definitely.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Love it.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Although I guess it might already be sold out if
- 1:57Speaker 1: it's the.

- 4:06Speaker 1: 100% Mrs. Doubtfire you got it I did add the
- 4:10Speaker 1: other clip it's not part of the same scene but
- 4:12Speaker 1: I thought I need something that's going to make it

- 4:58Speaker 1: I'm going to play that interview for you coming up
- 5:01Speaker 1: just after 8 with Friday Friends. I got to give
- 5:04Speaker 1: a shout out to the man that is sitting across
- 5:06Speaker 1: the room from me right now, Mr. Cole Dunbar, running
- 5:09Speaker 1: the Chicago Marathon this weekend. I didn't realize, as somebody
- 5:14Speaker 1: who doesn't run, how much work you have put in
- 5:18Speaker 1: to this one day that is coming up on Sunday.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I mean, this whole past year, you've dedicated time to
- 5:26Speaker 1: do this.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I have been working at this for like 10 months.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So I'm just, I'm very proud of you. No matter
- 5:32Speaker 1: what the outcome is on Sunday, you're going to do great.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah, because you see it a lot. You like, I
- 5:38Speaker 3: leave right out of here and go run.
- 5:41Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what the weather is.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I just watch like the things that you're like, I
- 5:45Speaker 1: have to eat this because I have to do this.
- 5:47Speaker 1: And then The massage gun.
- 5:50Speaker 3: All the different things I bring in, the gels, the creams,
- 5:54Speaker 3: the nipple tape.
- 5:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 4: All of it. Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I had no idea. Somebody who's never ran anything in
- 5:59Speaker 1: her life, how.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Much actually goes into it. I should have brought in
- 6:02Speaker 2: all the stuff for you. Like, cause I, you've tried
- 6:04Speaker 2: the massage gun. Don't like it. I love that massage gun.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That Theragun.
- 6:08Speaker 3: That could be my good review Friday is that Theragun.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I love that Theragun. I've the carb gels. You've tried
- 6:15Speaker 3: the gels, the energy gels that I like.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Take while I run.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, because I'll need. Oh, man, I got to recount.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I think like seven of those.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Where do you keep them?
- 6:24Speaker 2: In my pocket. OK.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 2: But if one of them busts like it's just like
- 6:27Speaker 2: a bunch of sticky goo in.
- 6:30Speaker 4: My pocket.
- 6:31Speaker 2: But thank you.
- 6:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Do the Chicago Marathon on Sunday. That's crazy.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Do you really want to know?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Hey, we've got fifteen hundred dollars in the new country
- 6:39Speaker 1: cash jackpot. You get money like that. That's fun money.
- 6:44Speaker 1: You spend that on whatever you want. Now, if you're like,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I do have to pay some bills, that's fine. But
- 6:49Speaker 1: don't feel guilty if you want to spend it on
- 6:51Speaker 1: something real dumb. That's what that money is for.
- 6:56Speaker 2: What do you want to buy over there?
- 6:57Speaker 1: I don't think I want to buy this, but I
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't know. I want to know if you would buy this.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Not from this stadium, but maybe from somewhere like the track.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Nebraska fans are shelling out $ 3, 000 for used Memorial Stadium urinals.
- 7:12Speaker 2: What?
- 7:14Speaker 1: The 103-year-old venue's clean troughs, ranging from 72 to 96
- 7:18Speaker 1: inches long, weighing 300 pounds each, $ 3, 000 a piece. They've
- 7:23Speaker 1: already sold almost all of them that they have up
- 7:26Speaker 1: for grabs.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Sorry, did you say, are they a urinal or are
- 7:28Speaker 2: they a trough?
- 7:29Speaker 4: A trough.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Oh, so they're like an Indianapolis Motor Speedway trough.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That's why I'm like, would you want that in your home? Like,
- 7:35Speaker 1: if you had the opportunity, they told you they cleaned.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It to bring it in. I don't know if you
- 7:40Speaker 2: could ever clean it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I was thinking that too, but okay.
- 7:46Speaker 3: If you, if you thought you felt like it was
- 7:48Speaker 3: clean enough, it would be really fun to have one
- 7:52Speaker 3: of those.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I think, I don't think I would put it in
- 7:55Speaker 2: the bathroom.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I wouldn't continue to use it for that, but I
- 7:58Speaker 3: think if you were a fan of Nebraska, if you're
- 8:01Speaker 3: a fan of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and again, if
- 8:03Speaker 3: you felt like it got clean enough, I don't know
- 8:05Speaker 3: that I could ever feel like it got clean enough,
- 8:07Speaker 3: but if you felt like it did, imagine putting it
- 8:11Speaker 3: In a place in your house that's like maybe the basement,
- 8:13Speaker 3: like the man cave by the bar and just like
- 8:15Speaker 3: filling it with ice and throwing beers in it for
- 8:17Speaker 3: a party.
- 8:18Speaker 2: That would be super cool.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm not drinking a trough beer.
- 8:22Speaker 6: I'm not.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I'm not in college. In college, I would have. College,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I drink a lot of questionable things out of a
- 8:27Speaker 1: lot of questionable vessels.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I just don't. I don't know that I could ever
- 8:32Speaker 2: get over it. You know what? Like when we we've
- 8:35Speaker 2: gone to some.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Parties in Nashville with artists and record labels and they
- 8:40Speaker 3: will fill up a bathtub with ice and beer.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I just feel like it's kind of the same, right? No,
- 8:48Speaker 2: I don't know that I would take a trough. I, I,
- 8:51Speaker 2: I really want.
- 8:52Speaker 3: To say yes, but I just don't know.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That it would ever be clean enough for me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Is there something though, like from your favorite spot that
- 8:58Speaker 1: you're like, I would totally take that and put it
- 9:01Speaker 1: in my home.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I do have a piece of turf from the RCA dome.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Okay. Let's keep these ideas.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Okay, sorry. Okay, I'll wait. I have a couple more thoughts.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Okay.
- 9:13Speaker 1: If you've got one, we want to hear it.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Annie and Cole.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Text or give us a call.
- 9:17Speaker 4: 317-663-9797.
- 9:19Speaker 1: We're talking about the things that you would pay for
- 9:23Speaker 1: or maybe welcome into your home as a gift from
- 9:25Speaker 1: your favorite spot. Like because they're selling $ 3, 000 troughs from
- 9:29Speaker 1: Nebraska Stadium. Would you put one of those in your house?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I think it's always going to smell like pee.
- 9:38Speaker 3: You could clean that thing forever. I don't know that
- 9:43Speaker 3: it'll ever be clean enough for me. My cousin had
- 9:48Speaker 3: seats from the old Bush Stadium. They're Cardinals fans. They
- 9:51Speaker 3: had those in their basement.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Those are always big ones when they're redoing stadiums.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Always off the seats.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah. I was trying to think. I went to this
- 10:00Speaker 1: ice cream shop. Last time I was in Chesterton, which
- 10:04Speaker 1: is a town that I lived in for eight years, seven,
- 10:07Speaker 1: eight years. We were camping at the Indiana Dunes and
- 10:10Speaker 1: we went out and got ice cream. And inside the
- 10:12Speaker 1: ice cream shop, they had taken old bowling alley seats,
- 10:16Speaker 1: like the seats you sit down when you're about to bowl.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And they had turned those into like the booths inside
- 10:22Speaker 1: of the restaurant. And I thought it'd be kind of cool.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Like bowling alleys don't really seem that comfortable to me,
- 10:28Speaker 1: but like an old school diner.
- 10:30Speaker 2: You have like a booth.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Yeah. I feel like those would be cool.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Annie and Cole Friday Friends 97.1 Hank FM.
- 10:41Speaker 1: We are so excited for this week's Friday Friends. The
- 10:44Speaker 1: legendary Ethan Hawke joining us this morning.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah, my pleasure. Thanks for having me.
- 10:50Speaker 1: New season of The Lowdown back on FX coming up
- 10:53Speaker 1: on the 14th of this month. Ethan, we've watched the
- 10:56Speaker 1: first season. What's it like making a show like this?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Because it feels like it would be a fun show
- 11:01Speaker 1: to make.
- 11:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I can't I can't tell a lie. It's a
- 11:04Speaker 6: little bit like a party. It's not fair that that
- 11:08Speaker 6: gets to be my employment. We shot it down in Tulsa.
- 11:12Speaker 6: There's a lot of great people. You know, I've never
- 11:15Speaker 6: really made a comedy before. And it's just so much fun.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You've been in this business for a long time. You've
- 11:22Speaker 1: played a lot of iconic characters. Is there one that
- 11:25Speaker 1: when you see fans out, they always want to talk
- 11:27Speaker 1: to you about?
- 11:28Speaker 6: You know, it really changes with me. You know, there
- 11:31Speaker 6: are some people that think Training Day is.
- 11:33Speaker 4: The only movie I've ever been in. And there are.
- 11:36Speaker 6: Some people that are such big Richard Linklater fans that
- 11:39Speaker 6: the Before trilogy and Boyhood.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Is all they want to talk about.
- 11:42Speaker 6: And then there's science fiction nerds who want to talk
- 11:46Speaker 6: to me about Gattaca or Predestination all day long. And
- 11:49Speaker 6: Then there's horror fans that don't think I've done anything
- 11:52Speaker 6: but scary movies. My tastes are so eclectic that I
- 11:58Speaker 6: just have different groups.
- 12:01Speaker 4: It's kind of like in high school.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Remember in high school, there's like one group of the
- 12:06Speaker 6: jocks would sit at one table and the academics would
- 12:10Speaker 6: sit at another table and the arty people would sit
- 12:12Speaker 6: at another table.
- 12:13Speaker 4: I feel like I've kind of made a movie for
- 12:15Speaker 4: every table.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I mean, it's a smart business move.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that.
- 12:19Speaker 3: You talked about how you have made something kind of
- 12:22Speaker 3: in every genre. But when you're a fan, what is
- 12:25Speaker 3: something that you like to sit at home and watch?
- 12:27Speaker 6: As I get older, more and more, I seem to
- 12:29Speaker 6: just watch more and more sports, which is kind of
- 12:31Speaker 6: strange to me. But this is what I do for
- 12:34Speaker 6: a living. And so a movie has to be really
- 12:37Speaker 6: good for me to fall in love with it. And
- 12:40Speaker 6: I really like to go to the movies, to be
- 12:42Speaker 6: honest with you. I just took my kids to see
- 12:45Speaker 6: the Acme versus Coyote movie, which I thought was awesome. And,
- 12:52Speaker 6: you know, to be honest with you, it's very my
- 12:55Speaker 6: brain is so strange. On one level, I can say
- 12:58Speaker 6: that I'm very picky about movies. On the other hand,
- 13:02Speaker 6: usually I watch a movie.
- 13:04Speaker 4: I think it was terrific.
- 13:06Speaker 6: Anybody that makes one and puts any thought into it
- 13:08Speaker 6: is a friend of mine.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I am still a huge fan of going to the movies.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And I really like going to the movies by myself
- 13:16Speaker 3: with the biggest bucket of popcorn I can find and
- 13:18Speaker 3: just enjoying that entire experience.
- 13:20Speaker 4: That is called my happy place. Yeah. Are you kidding?
- 13:24Speaker 6: It's one of the things I love about my job
- 13:27Speaker 6: is I often travel, you know, and I'm in some
- 13:29Speaker 6: strange city and I'll just sneak off and go to
- 13:31Speaker 6: the movies by myself or with one friend and just
- 13:33Speaker 6: sit there. Devour a soda and popcorn and have the
- 13:37Speaker 6: perfect time.
- 13:38Speaker 1: So we are in spooky season. You've been in some
- 13:42Speaker 1: pretty freaky movies. Do you get into Halloween?
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I have four kids.
- 13:48Speaker 6: I live on this block in Brooklyn that's about the
- 13:50Speaker 6: best trick-or-treating location on the planet Earth. People get so
- 13:55Speaker 6: duded up and wilded out, and it's hours from about
- 13:58Speaker 6: 5 to about 10. We go through buckets and buckets
- 14:02Speaker 6: of candy, and it's my favorite time every year.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Are you a full-size candy bar house?
- 14:08Speaker 4: No, no way, man. I'm not giving people that much candy.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Too many kids! Yeah, yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 6: But I'm also not, I don't give out apples.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Well, we'll wrap it up this one. We're so excited
- 14:24Speaker 1: to have you again. Watch the new season of the lowdown.
- 14:27Speaker 1: It's back on FX on the 14th. Cole is running
- 14:30Speaker 1: a marathon coming up. We saw that you've, you've done
- 14:33Speaker 1: this before. Do you have any advice?
- 14:35Speaker 4: Oh, you know, I loved it. I mean, I wish
- 14:40Speaker 4: I ran it faster. It's one of those things that,
- 14:45Speaker 4: For a while, it gives you a high, and then
- 14:47Speaker 4: for a while, it's terrible.
- 14:48Speaker 6: And then afterwards, I love being in the race with
- 14:54Speaker 6: all those people and seeing all these different people trying
- 14:57Speaker 6: hard and giving themselves a challenge.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Just enjoy every second of it.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I love it, yeah, because I've been tired and sore
- 15:05Speaker 3: for basically months straight here.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So looking forward to doing it in Chicago.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's good. The training is the hardest part. The
- 15:14Speaker 4: race is the fun part. Yeah, exactly.
- 15:16Speaker 3: It's a celebration of all the hard work you've put in.
- 15:18Speaker 3: We were so excited that you could join us today.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Thank you again so much.
- 15:22Speaker 4: My pleasure.
