The Philip Experiment was a 1972 parapsychology experiment conducted in Toronto, Ontario, to determine whether subjects can communicate with fictionalized ghosts through expectations of human will. After creating a creating a fictional subject, and nearly a year of weekly sessions, a group of eight unrelated persons were able to create sounds, breezes, the turning on and off of lights, the violent shifting, turning and levitation of the table which stood between them, as well as similar actions not caused by human interference.
