- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. All Right, everybody, Hi,
- 0:05Speaker 1: this is Trista and I am solo tonight, but not
- 0:10Speaker 1: for long because I have two amazing guests who are
- 0:14Speaker 1: about to come on the show. If you live under rocks,
- 0:18Speaker 1: then you won't know who they are, but I'm sure
- 0:21Speaker 1: most of you know. It's Gary and Teresa, the latest
- 0:25Speaker 1: happy couple from the Bachelor franchise, and I'm so excited
- 0:29Speaker 1: to talk to them. Had such a great time at
- 0:32Speaker 1: the wedding and then of course meeting them on Golden Bachelor,
- 0:35Speaker 1: so I'm really excited to welcome them to the AFOG podcast. Okay, so,
- 0:43Speaker 1: how is life going. How's the move going? You're you're
- 0:47Speaker 1: in the process of moving to New Jersey, yes or no?
- 0:50Speaker 2: No, we're in the process of trying to figure out
- 0:54Speaker 2: how to reconfigure Teresa's house.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. That's rare for.
- 0:59Speaker 2: More law term stays because it's like I stayed there
- 1:05Speaker 2: for a week or more last week and I had
- 1:07Speaker 2: to come back home, and it's like her house is tiny,
- 1:11Speaker 2: and her bedroom is really tiny, and it's hard to
- 1:13Speaker 2: work around and I was working out of a living
- 1:15Speaker 2: out of a suitcase. So she has the room that
- 1:19Speaker 2: she's using for her office. That's the largest room, and
- 1:22Speaker 2: we started thinking, okay, we could fit a king sized
- 1:25Speaker 2: bed in here. We need to put up some shades
- 1:27Speaker 2: and things like that. So she's figuring that out and
- 1:31Speaker 2: as soon as she orders stuff like mins in a
- 1:35Speaker 2: bed platform whatever, yeah, I'm going to take off and
- 1:38Speaker 2: go and I'll do the grout work to put it
- 1:40Speaker 2: all together.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna make you know what I when my
- 1:44Speaker 3: husband passed away, I went out of the main bedroom
- 1:47Speaker 3: and made it into an office and went to this
- 1:49Speaker 3: tiny room with a you know, it's a full sized bed,
- 1:53Speaker 3: and so now I've got to get you know, king
- 1:54Speaker 3: sized bed, go back into that room and make it
- 1:58Speaker 3: and make and get shades to make it, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 3: because it's blindingly sonny in this room. Yeah, just tak
- 2:03Speaker 3: it's the room I'm in now, Like it really is
- 2:06Speaker 3: supposed to be the master bedroom, got it. Yeah, I'm
- 2:09Speaker 3: going to change it. So yeah, that's fine.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I love that. Are you excited about that or does
- 2:15Speaker 1: that like bitter sweet? Like mixed feelings? So with your.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I'm really excited about it. I'm very excited. But it's
- 2:22Speaker 3: like I had to go get samples for the Roman shades,
- 2:25Speaker 3: Like I'm gonna put Roman shades up, So I got
- 2:27Speaker 3: samples for that and got to you know, as soon
- 2:30Speaker 3: as that comes and make a decision really quickly, and
- 2:32Speaker 3: then measure and put them up and and then you know,
- 2:35Speaker 3: move it all around and try to find the best.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Do you know good mattresses. That's what we need is
- 2:39Speaker 3: a good mattress.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Oh.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Actually I love our mattress. It's not like I work
- 2:45Speaker 1: with this company, but it's I think it's called Beauty
- 2:47Speaker 1: Rest Black. Oh, so comfortable okay, and they're pretty expensive, Okay,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but I feel like you need to invest in a
- 2:58Speaker 1: good mattress. I think because you spend so much time sleeping, right, that's.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Right, absolutely, And I couldn't agree. I couldn't agree more.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Or just like lounging around like it, you know, blaxing
- 3:10Speaker 3: in your bed reading.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So tell me we need to go back to the wedding.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Let's reverse, Okay, let's do it. It's such an amazing weekend.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Are you still on a high? You guys?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Like, are you? It was like a fairy tale? Wasn't
- 3:27Speaker 3: it amazing?
- 3:29Speaker 1: It was amazing? I mean, Mandy White, like, how can
- 3:33Speaker 1: you not have you know, an amazing yes.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Seriously, she went way above and beyond whatever I said
- 3:43Speaker 3: or we said, and really seriously listened and didn't like
- 3:47Speaker 3: say what she wanted. It was just when I saw
- 3:49Speaker 3: those flowers, I was like, wow, like how amazing, how incredible.
- 3:54Speaker 3: And then the tablecloths and I know you weren't there
- 3:58Speaker 3: for the rehearsal dinner with that was so beautiful too.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And oh the china and the silverware and the glasses
- 4:05Speaker 3: and then the band and you know that nobody stopped dancing, right,
- 4:11Speaker 3: that was.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So much fun. Oh my gosh, Gary, I will never
- 4:14Speaker 1: forget dancing, of course with your daughters, but especially Angie.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And because we were I don't know if she told
- 4:21Speaker 1: you this or if I told you this, but during
- 4:23Speaker 1: the after the final rose, I was sitting, you know,
- 4:26Speaker 1: with your with your family, and we Angie and I
- 4:31Speaker 1: shared a little a little a little moment. I think,
- 4:35Speaker 1: oh I said something to her and she responded, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: Jen goes, did you just call her a bitch? I
- 4:48Speaker 1: was like, no, why would I have called her a bit?
- 4:50Speaker 1: She's like that bitch, you know. And so from now on,
- 4:54Speaker 1: like we just it's like a term of endearment between us.
- 5:00Speaker 2: You like that she's pretty social, she's pretty amazing.
- 5:04Speaker 1: She's amazing. So we were like, we'll see you on
- 5:06Speaker 1: the dance floor, bitch. Yeah, yeah, that who's got the move.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it was so much fun. And then
- 5:13Speaker 1: with your granddaughter. I can't remember which one, but we
- 5:17Speaker 1: had so much We were on the dance floor and
- 5:19Speaker 1: we were singing to each other. It was just it
- 5:21Speaker 1: was so much fun. Did you have a great time
- 5:24Speaker 1: on the dance floor?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh my god, yeah, Gary can tell you yes,
- 5:30Speaker 3: it was. It was like NonStop dancing. And then every
- 5:33Speaker 3: single time I tried to go stop just to get
- 5:35Speaker 3: a breath. Then some young thirty year olds are going, okay, okay,
- 5:41Speaker 3: I'm just gonna die on the dance floor. But it
- 5:43Speaker 3: was wow. There was not one flow dance, right, There wasn't.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Except for yours. Except I were like first dance, you know.
- 5:51Speaker 3: First dance. That was it. And we were supposed to
- 5:53Speaker 3: do this dance that we choreographed, but we never did it.
- 5:57Speaker 3: We were we were afraid we weren't going to pull
- 5:59Speaker 3: it off. It would have been it would have been
- 6:01Speaker 3: funny if we did it wrong too, you know, like
- 6:03Speaker 3: that would have been just as funny that.
- 6:06Speaker 1: If no one would have known as a dancer, you
- 6:09Speaker 1: just you just continue to go, you know, you just
- 6:11Speaker 1: go and you just dance and no one knows. I
- 6:15Speaker 1: love that.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Gary.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Is that your thing? Like at weddings? Would you be
- 6:20Speaker 1: on the dance floor normally? Or is this Teresa's thing?
- 6:25Speaker 2: So Teresa has influenced me to do it more. But
- 6:28Speaker 2: it's not like I would shy away from it completely. Yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 2: it's just nice to have a confident and totally.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Difference, just a big difference.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I think you're so.
- 6:43Speaker 3: We did do Islands in the Stream. That wasn't so bad?
- 6:45Speaker 3: That wasn't I thought we did at that? Yeah?
- 6:48Speaker 2: Right?
- 6:48Speaker 1: That that song?
- 6:50Speaker 3: I love it?
- 6:51Speaker 1: No, that band was so good? Tell me the story,
- 6:57Speaker 1: didn't MINDY tell you?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yes, I don't.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I don't care if you don't know who they are,
- 7:02Speaker 1: but you.
- 7:03Speaker 3: No, I do. It was okay. So they were proposing
- 7:07Speaker 3: a different band and she said, oh no, no, not
- 7:09Speaker 3: good enough, and she got the band that was Can
- 7:12Speaker 3: I tell you it was justin Bieber's band for his daddy.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I heard that JB Projects, which you would have thought
- 7:18Speaker 3: was justin Bieber Projects, But it wasn't and they normally
- 7:21Speaker 3: had nine members to the band, but they added three pieces,
- 7:25Speaker 3: so they had three. And they weren't just musicians, right,
- 7:28Speaker 3: they were dancers and they got us former yes and okay.
- 7:33Speaker 1: So I didn't realize. I thought they were the band
- 7:37Speaker 1: that maybe like performed at Justin Bieber's wedding. They are like,
- 7:41Speaker 1: he's like an employer, he's like their agent essentially.
- 7:45Speaker 3: He is, Oh, no, I don't know that. No, I'm saying, no,
- 7:49Speaker 3: they were the band that played his wedding. I'm saying,
- 7:51Speaker 3: you would think because the name is JB, that it
- 7:53Speaker 3: might be just In Bieber.
- 7:54Speaker 1: But they said no, they said, no, that's said the band.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: That's it.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Just I don't know what JB stands for.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I got it, and I got it and know they
- 8:02Speaker 1: were they were phenomenal. Like I had the best time
- 8:06Speaker 1: I don't like for our wedding. I remember being on
- 8:10Speaker 1: the dance floor until four in the morning because it
- 8:12Speaker 1: was just fun, like, yeah, you know, I wanted to celebrate.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Yeah you guys did. That's so great.
- 8:19Speaker 3: You were there for four in the morning. That's awesome.
- 8:22Speaker 1: It's it's okay. So what was your favorite memory from
- 8:26Speaker 1: the wedding.
- 8:27Speaker 3: It was really his daughters and my daughter's speeches. That
- 8:32Speaker 3: was my favorite. I mean, besides Gary in our moments,
- 8:36Speaker 3: but just hearing them. I mean I just bawled my
- 8:39Speaker 3: eyes out when I heard what they said. It was
- 8:41Speaker 3: so so good and so heartfelt, and I, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 3: it just made me melt, you know, hearing them and
- 8:49Speaker 3: so sincere. And then my daughter and I, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 3: I didn't put my son on the spot, you know,
- 8:55Speaker 3: he just he wouldn't have wanted that, he wouldn't like that.
- 8:59Speaker 1: But we so so that people know because I think,
- 9:03Speaker 1: like my mom or something was like, I just I
- 9:06Speaker 1: don't understand why they didn't have more of the family.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And I was like, no, Mom, they did, like sons spoke,
- 9:12Speaker 1: but they didn't show it. And I'm sure just because
- 9:16Speaker 1: of you know, whatever choice they were making, or because
- 9:18Speaker 1: it's a telvised event and they can't you know. So
- 9:24Speaker 1: so for all of us who were in the audience
- 9:27Speaker 1: or as gets, you got to see the heartfelt, you know,
- 9:32Speaker 1: emotions of your son too. Yeah, that was very thank you.
- 9:37Speaker 3: And then yeah, that was I think Rob you're referring
- 9:41Speaker 3: to Rob that that was Gary's son in law. Oh,
- 9:46Speaker 3: y yeah, yeah, and then that he was wonderful, and
- 9:51Speaker 3: he said that he practiced that over and over and
- 9:54Speaker 3: over and over again, that he did such a great
- 9:57Speaker 3: job and he could have done it on camera. And
- 9:59Speaker 3: then what they all so didn't see one of my
- 10:01Speaker 3: three grandsons who went up to the mic, you know,
- 10:03Speaker 3: during the time, and said that that was a surprise
- 10:06Speaker 3: to me, you know, my daughter all I feel so
- 10:08Speaker 3: bad because it was her birthday and we were supposed
- 10:11Speaker 3: to have two cakes, like we were having the main
- 10:13Speaker 3: cake that Gary picked out, and then I actually put
- 10:16Speaker 3: together this other concoction that was raspberry and lemon, and
- 10:19Speaker 3: she said, I really thought you were gonna have a
- 10:20Speaker 3: birthday cake for me. Mom, I said, oh, I messed up.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I messed up, Like why didn't I do that? Like,
- 10:27Speaker 3: oh I should have. Yeah, it's her birthday, daring it,
- 10:31Speaker 3: but I did it later, so I want to Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 3: we did it later.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Oh camera, I'm sure she'll forgive you or she has already.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, okay, Gary.
- 10:41Speaker 1: What was your favorite moment from the wedding?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Well, even though I had my first look earlier in
- 10:48Speaker 2: the day doing photos, you did. Yeah, I'll never forget
- 10:54Speaker 2: turning around when I know Teresa is in the archway
- 10:58Speaker 2: and I see her little wedded in white against this,
- 11:02Speaker 2: you know, the darkness of the night, and then watching
- 11:06Speaker 2: her slowly come up the aisle. That's the best memory,
- 11:10Speaker 2: you know that, That's just one of those things that
- 11:12Speaker 2: you know, it just over and over I play it.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Oh, thank you, that's so nice. I love that.
- 11:21Speaker 1: HI mean, Gamma.
- 11:23Speaker 3: And as I was walking down the aisle like thin,
- 11:26Speaker 3: it was really trying to we were both trying to
- 11:29Speaker 3: just live in the moment and not even consider that
- 11:32Speaker 3: we were on television. We didn't. I don't think for
- 11:34Speaker 3: a second I even thought that. I just felt overwhelmed
- 11:37Speaker 3: looking at everybody, and yeah, I think we were able
- 11:40Speaker 3: to do that. Yeah, it was good. It was great.
- 11:43Speaker 1: That's how I felt at my wedding. Even though there
- 11:46Speaker 1: were a million cameras around, they did a really good
- 11:50Speaker 1: job of like hiding them in the trees. And although
- 11:53Speaker 1: I do have a funny story, so when the when
- 11:56Speaker 1: the ceremony ended, we were standing up, you know, ready
- 12:02Speaker 1: to walk away, and you know that big, huge camera
- 12:06Speaker 1: that's on like a big yes probably like be tall
- 12:10Speaker 1: or whatever, that huge jib or boom or something. It's Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and your brother who I ended up meeting later, his
- 12:22Speaker 1: wife in the green I think she was wearing like
- 12:25Speaker 1: green sparkles or something. I noticed them because they I
- 12:29Speaker 1: hadn't met them before, and I think I knew that
- 12:33Speaker 1: they were not part of like Bachelor Nation, like they
- 12:36Speaker 1: of course say, part of it, but they hadn't been
- 12:38Speaker 1: on the show, right, So they were one of your
- 12:41Speaker 1: guests and one of your friends or family members. And
- 12:44Speaker 1: I'm watching them and they're walking away and they're having
- 12:47Speaker 1: to like duck under the jib and like walk around
- 12:51Speaker 1: the camera equipment, and I was like, how awkward for
- 12:55Speaker 1: them to Like it's like, how weird is it for
- 12:59Speaker 1: them at their friends or their family I found out
- 13:02Speaker 1: later was right at their family member's wedding. And I
- 13:06Speaker 1: thought to myself, Wow, that's probably how people felt at mine,
- 13:11Speaker 1: that it was just awkward. But as a bride, I
- 13:15Speaker 1: really And maybe it's because the way that we met
- 13:19Speaker 1: was with cameras in our face anyway, right.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, maybe that's it. We get so used to it.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I guess we got immune to it. It took me
- 13:26Speaker 3: so long to get used to it. I guess, yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 3: after a while. But like you said, they did a
- 13:30Speaker 3: great job of like hiding them.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you feel scarious about the cameras?
- 13:37Speaker 2: No, I was going to say that spending time with
- 13:39Speaker 2: my pickleball friends after I've gotten back home here, they've
- 13:42Speaker 2: all had the same stories, but they just knew it
- 13:45Speaker 2: was part of the experience and they thought it was
- 13:48Speaker 2: pretty fun watching, you know how behind the scenes worked
- 13:52Speaker 2: as well as the wedding.
- 13:53Speaker 1: That's so true. Yeah, okay, so you're pickleball friends, including
- 14:08Speaker 1: the one that was on my team, and we lost
- 14:11Speaker 1: to you.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that has to be one of my favorite memories. Oh,
- 14:18Speaker 2: you know, I got to play pickleball against Trista, so
- 14:22Speaker 2: you know, not how many people get to say that?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Cutest I get to say I played pickleball with Gary
- 14:30Speaker 1: because clearly I should not have been on that court
- 14:33Speaker 1: that day because the last point it was a freaking game. Point.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Let me and say we saw you. I think I
- 14:42Speaker 1: was with Blakesley because I stayed with my daughter for
- 14:45Speaker 1: a couple extra days after the wedding, just for a
- 14:47Speaker 1: little mother daughter time, and we saw you guys. And
- 14:51Speaker 1: I don't know if someone was talking about pickleball, but
- 14:53Speaker 1: I was like, are you gonna play? Can we play,
- 14:55Speaker 1: let's go.
- 14:58Speaker 3: No, you're so good. I mean, Gary, you were so good.
- 15:01Speaker 3: The game was so good. Yeah, right, at the last minute,
- 15:05Speaker 3: it was heartbreaking. It was so fine.
- 15:07Speaker 1: So Blakely, I walk over there and you guys are
- 15:10Speaker 1: all over with your family and and you were like, okay,
- 15:14Speaker 1: do you want to play? And I'm like, yes, That's
- 15:17Speaker 1: why I'm here. I love pickleball or playing, so so
- 15:21Speaker 1: I asked my daughter, because you know, she's more of
- 15:24Speaker 1: the like, you know, let's just play casually and you know,
- 15:28Speaker 1: let's just be cute, like swinging the pickleball rack or
- 15:34Speaker 1: so I was like, is it okay if I play
- 15:37Speaker 1: with them? Like I felt bad because it was our
- 15:39Speaker 1: mother daughter weekend? Can I go play this more serious
- 15:43Speaker 1: game of.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Game here?
- 15:47Speaker 1: So yeah, we play, and for everyone out there, Gary
- 15:51Speaker 1: was playing with his granddaughter's boyfriend. Right, I had never played.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Before, never played before, but he's a college baseball player.
- 16:02Speaker 3: So.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Yeah he was.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And then one of Gary's pickleball friends who had had
- 16:13Speaker 1: surgery recently. Maybe that was your partner?
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, are you talking about your PRIs? That's actually Angie's boss.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Oh okay, yes, I knew that. Angie told me that.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yes, and it's you know, Angie's husband, Rob and and
- 16:29Speaker 2: that guy Brandon were you know, best of friends in
- 16:33Speaker 2: college and ever since.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. So we play this game and
- 16:38Speaker 1: it was so much fun. Like I think in the beginning,
- 16:41Speaker 1: you guys were killing us, and then we kind of
- 16:43Speaker 1: came back or something. The last freaking point it's a
- 16:46Speaker 1: game point, and I was like, oh my gosh, I've
- 16:49Speaker 1: got this, like got it. I totally went. But I
- 16:55Speaker 1: was so mad at myself that I yeah.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It was something that you really should have had. You
- 17:03Speaker 3: knew you had it, and like such a great game.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It was fun. So thank you Gary for allowing me
- 17:14Speaker 1: to play. It was so much fun.
- 17:16Speaker 2: That's a memory. I hope I get to replay again
- 17:19Speaker 2: sometime in the future because that was really a lot
- 17:22Speaker 2: of fun. I never stopped across the court. You're still
- 17:29Speaker 2: smiling as big as you are right now. Yeah, you
- 17:33Speaker 2: almost feel guilty. I didn't want to hit anything hard
- 17:35Speaker 2: at you.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, no, I love it. I mean and you,
- 17:39Speaker 1: holy cow, you did hit some really hard shots and
- 17:41Speaker 1: I was like, I think I was screaming. Did I
- 17:43Speaker 1: scream a couple of times?
- 17:45Speaker 3: I did? It was good. It was so good. It's very.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, it's all good. You can go for it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I think I told you that. The day before we
- 17:56Speaker 1: played as a family and I hit a b all
- 18:00Speaker 1: to Ryan right between I hit him.
- 18:04Speaker 3: My god, oh my god, so bad.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And I was like, I couldn't have planned that if
- 18:10Speaker 1: I was done it.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Did you have these glasses on?
- 18:14Speaker 4: No?
- 18:15Speaker 1: He didn't, he wasn't protected.
- 18:17Speaker 3: You know.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I gotta say that when he puts his glasses on,
- 18:20Speaker 2: that is such a cool look I would love. I mean,
- 18:24Speaker 2: that is like distinguished and and it's almost man elegant,
- 18:29Speaker 2: you know. I just love.
- 18:32Speaker 3: He does look great, Gary, you look really good. And
- 18:36Speaker 3: glasses too, Yeah, go put them on. Let's see him.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Oh, I say what Gary's going to be wearing every time?
- 18:44Speaker 3: Every time? Yeah? I think, do you look good?
- 18:51Speaker 1: To see?
- 18:52Speaker 3: You get to see I'm going to put my glasses on.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Okay. So if you guys had the option to choose,
- 19:01Speaker 1: who would you choose as the Golden Bachelorette if they
- 19:04Speaker 1: do the show?
- 19:05Speaker 3: Oh you really want to put us on the spot.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 19:12Speaker 3: It's a terrible question, you know, And I feel like
- 19:15Speaker 3: I feel like, whoever it is, I want to I
- 19:18Speaker 3: want to be there. Yeah, I mean, there's so many
- 19:22Speaker 3: reasons why so many of them would be so good.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I can't. You know, I'm friends with all these girls.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Very maybe could answer the question, so I can't.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I want to get somebody brand new because there were
- 19:36Speaker 2: so many of the women out of my season that
- 19:39Speaker 2: could do it, and I think it would be a
- 19:41Speaker 2: slight to several of them if one of them were chosen.
- 19:45Speaker 2: And I just love it if they started the process
- 19:48Speaker 2: right from scratch like they did with me and find
- 19:52Speaker 2: someone brand new, and I think that would make it,
- 19:55Speaker 2: that would keep it fresh and interesting.
- 19:58Speaker 1: So I have always said that, and I feel like
- 20:00Speaker 1: I might have shared this with you that I've always
- 20:05Speaker 1: said I wanted them to pluck someone out of obscurity
- 20:08Speaker 1: that we all could fall in love with at the
- 20:10Speaker 1: same time. And it was perfect for what they did
- 20:14Speaker 1: for Golden. I thought it was amazing. But yeah, yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I've always loved that thought like that.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yes, Yeah, I'm just anxious to see who the men are.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I mean, they had such a hard time finding Gary,
- 20:27Speaker 3: because yeah, are they are they going to find I?
- 20:31Speaker 3: I don't know, it seems, you know, to find somebody
- 20:34Speaker 3: so good it takes a lot, and so now you
- 20:37Speaker 3: have to find twenty two or twenty five. I don't
- 20:41Speaker 3: know how they're going to pick men. And and they've
- 20:44Speaker 3: lowered the age range I think so. I mean, I
- 20:48Speaker 3: thought I saw fifty five? Was that what I saw?
- 20:51Speaker 3: I think I saw that.
- 20:52Speaker 1: How old was the youngest on yours? Gary?
- 20:55Speaker 2: It was sixty? I think I think Faith was one
- 20:58Speaker 2: of the youngest. And I remember who else?
- 21:02Speaker 3: It seems to me that there were seven sixty year
- 21:05Speaker 3: olds on this Oh wow, there was seven. Yeah, that's
- 21:09Speaker 3: why I made that statement. I have to compete against
- 21:12Speaker 3: sixty year old Like who says that only seven year old?
- 21:16Speaker 3: That's that? Like only somebody who's really old? Tough?
- 21:23Speaker 1: Okay, So how was it from both of your perspectives?
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'll start with Gary, to have some of your exes
- 21:31Speaker 1: because I can I can relate to it. At your wedding, Like,
- 21:37Speaker 1: as you're standing there looking out at your beautiful bride,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I'm sure you probably caught one or two of your
- 21:43Speaker 1: exes and then another one is standing there performing the ceremony.
- 21:49Speaker 1: How how did that feel?
- 21:51Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie, that was freaking weird. It's that right.
- 21:57Speaker 2: For some reason, I seemed to be able to pick
- 22:00Speaker 2: out those faces in the crowd much more easily than
- 22:03Speaker 2: any of the Fortunately, you know, I've really kept good
- 22:08Speaker 2: friendships with you know, pretty much all of those women,
- 22:12Speaker 2: so it wasn't as awkward as it could have been.
- 22:16Speaker 2: You know, I think over time, Leslie and I have
- 22:19Speaker 2: more and more patched things up and were able to
- 22:22Speaker 2: hug and you know say, Okay, what has happened is
- 22:25Speaker 2: in the past and so forth. But you know, like
- 22:27Speaker 2: with some of the other women, I mean, I'm really
- 22:29Speaker 2: friendly still with Faith and with Joan and some of
- 22:32Speaker 2: the others, and we have conversations and stuff, and it
- 22:35Speaker 2: really kind of furthers the atmosphere and the culture from
- 22:39Speaker 2: the show, where we were all supportive and helped each
- 22:42Speaker 2: other and poded for each other. Y.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't feel like it took away at all
- 22:48Speaker 1: from from you know, if it would have been if
- 22:53Speaker 1: you guys had met, you know, not on television, right
- 22:56Speaker 1: and you didn't have any access. You don't feel like
- 22:59Speaker 1: it took away from what your wedding would have been, right, Okay.
- 23:05Speaker 2: No, not no, not at all. I think it actually
- 23:08Speaker 2: added you know, again, everybody supported each other.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel.
- 23:14Speaker 3: The same way Yeah, there's so much warmth and camaraderie
- 23:18Speaker 3: amongst us that had just added to the really to
- 23:22Speaker 3: how warm the ceremony was, which is what we wanted,
- 23:25Speaker 3: all people who were there with good hearts and good intentions. Yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 3: we just we actually wanted all the women there though,
- 23:32Speaker 3: you know, but it was did you Yeah, we did,
- 23:35Speaker 3: we did. Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Who wasn't there?
- 23:39Speaker 3: Oh? If I name the names, I think only six
- 23:43Speaker 3: women weren't there. I don't off the top of my
- 23:46Speaker 3: head to say who wasn't there? There was think of it.
- 23:51Speaker 3: There was Christina wasn't Christina wasn't there? And and Patty
- 23:57Speaker 3: and Peggy and Maria? Right, yeah, is that about it?
- 24:04Speaker 3: There was six? I think who weren't there?
- 24:06Speaker 2: So?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And how did you feel, Teresa? Because I know
- 24:14Speaker 1: we interviewed Leslie for the podcast. She said that gave
- 24:18Speaker 1: her a phone call beforehand.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay, yes, that's what happened. So I was
- 24:24Speaker 3: asked specifically, would I mind if she went? And I said,
- 24:27Speaker 3: of course not. I said exactly, I want all the
- 24:30Speaker 3: women to be there. And then I was on the
- 24:32Speaker 3: phone with Edith and I got off the phone. I said,
- 24:34Speaker 3: so did you invite her yet? And I was told no,
- 24:37Speaker 3: and they said, oh, so did you change your mind?
- 24:39Speaker 3: I said no, I want to invite her. So heah,
- 24:42Speaker 3: we were really good friends. I love her. That's when
- 24:44Speaker 3: she's yeah, yeah. We were loved and supported each other
- 24:48Speaker 3: throughout the whole thing. So it's just it's a crazy
- 24:51Speaker 3: thing that.
- 24:53Speaker 1: It's just crazy, you know what it is crazy. So
- 24:55Speaker 1: another crazy thing that I think people not got up
- 24:59Speaker 1: in arms not the right term. But Ben and I
- 25:03Speaker 1: the morning after we did, but we did a bunch
- 25:06Speaker 1: of podcasts and he said that his wife Jess had
- 25:10Speaker 1: texted him during the ceremony and said, Brandon and Brandon
- 25:15Speaker 1: proposed during you know, the cocktail party, and she was
- 25:21Speaker 1: like that's weird and or I don't know how she
- 25:24Speaker 1: said it, but she was like is that appropriate? And
- 25:28Speaker 1: my response so when I got asked to so you know,
- 25:31Speaker 1: kind of what I saw is one of the producers said,
- 25:34Speaker 1: do you want to be like you do you want
- 25:36Speaker 1: to see something that's going to be really exciting? He
- 25:39Speaker 1: was like, sure, you know what is it? And finally
- 25:42Speaker 1: she told us that he was going to propose. And
- 25:44Speaker 1: I actually got goosebumps because I just I love love
- 25:48Speaker 1: like I am huge fan of love and anyone who's
- 25:52Speaker 1: going to like show their love, I'm all for and so.
- 25:57Speaker 1: And then afterwards people were like, that was strange. Have
- 26:00Speaker 1: you ever been to a wedding or someone proposed to
- 26:03Speaker 1: somebody you're not supposed to steal, you know, the bride
- 26:06Speaker 1: and groom's limelight. But I was like, I don't feel
- 26:10Speaker 1: like they probably felt that way, but you guys correct
- 26:13Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong. How did you feel about Braiden
- 26:16Speaker 1: and Christina getting engaged?
- 26:18Speaker 2: We got a phone call. I got a phone call
- 26:20Speaker 2: from Brayden and he's asked me if it was okay,
- 26:26Speaker 2: and I go, you know, Braiden, you know, and I've
- 26:28Speaker 2: gotten to like that guy a lot. I mean, I
- 26:30Speaker 2: think he's just the super guy and I would have
- 26:32Speaker 2: gone a long way for his behalf. But anyway, I said,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I'm fine with it, but let me call Teresa. I'll
- 26:39Speaker 2: call you back in five minutes. Yeah. I called her,
- 26:42Speaker 2: asked her, and her response to me was just as
- 26:45Speaker 2: positive as my own. So yeah, there. I've heard people say,
- 26:50Speaker 2: you know, Jesus like stealing someone's thunder, but I don't
- 26:53Speaker 2: think it is. It's like adding to the event. Yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 2: if they want to compare and say, Jesus, that's not
- 26:59Speaker 2: something appropriate. That's never done. Well, okay, it's never done
- 27:03Speaker 2: when somebody you know gets married after three months of
- 27:06Speaker 2: a TV show either. So you know it all together,
- 27:10Speaker 2: yeah right, novel parts of it all together. So it
- 27:15Speaker 2: was perfectly fine.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Yeah. But Garry called me and I was on the bed,
- 27:20Speaker 3: on my bed practicing my vows with my daughter and
- 27:23Speaker 3: Henry all and and I had him on speaker, no,
- 27:27Speaker 3: did I? And I said yes, yes, yes, because I'm
- 27:30Speaker 3: like you, I love love, and it just added. First
- 27:33Speaker 3: of all, they didn't interfere with our ceremony. That didn't
- 27:36Speaker 3: eat it's all good. If it's all good, positive stuff,
- 27:40Speaker 3: do it like they didn't do any thing. Yeah, it
- 27:43Speaker 3: wasn't it was a negative thing if they're gonna do Yeah,
- 27:46Speaker 3: So it was all good. We're all happy about it.
- 27:49Speaker 3: It's wonderful good.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I'm glad that you felt like it didn't take away
- 27:52Speaker 1: from your big day, because I know that some people
- 27:56Speaker 1: are like you know, I you know, got the it
- 27:59Speaker 1: kind of.
- 27:59Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I was like they weren't even here yet. It wasn't
- 28:03Speaker 1: the ceremony like we were just it was cocktail party
- 28:06Speaker 1: where people were just having a drink before we went
- 28:09Speaker 1: to sit down to watch your Beautiful Valves and and
- 28:14Speaker 1: I didn't feel like that, but you know, you never
- 28:17Speaker 1: know because I'm not in your shoes, so I don't
- 28:19Speaker 1: know if you felt that way. Have you guys watched
- 28:23Speaker 1: it back?
- 28:24Speaker 3: Good question? Yes, yes, yes, you want to talk, Gary,
- 28:28Speaker 3: Go ahead, go.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It's quite an interesting experience to watch your own wedding.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Back national television. Yeah, yes, I.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Mean, I think it was one of the evenings that
- 28:39Speaker 2: you know, last week, and I was in New Jersey
- 28:40Speaker 2: and we sat down on the sofa after dinner and
- 28:43Speaker 2: we should decided, okay, we're going to watch it through.
- 28:46Speaker 2: And the fun part is both of us would have
- 28:50Speaker 2: questions or thoughts and and you know the program that
- 28:53Speaker 2: is two hours in length on TV. Actually it was
- 28:56Speaker 2: like three hours by the time we got done pausing
- 28:59Speaker 2: and talking.
- 29:00Speaker 1: And yeah, I love it it.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Really, it was a lot of fun. It was a
- 29:05Speaker 2: neat experience for us to kind of share that again,
- 29:08Speaker 2: because so much of it we weren't aware of. We
- 29:10Speaker 2: didn't see everything that was going on. And I really
- 29:15Speaker 2: enjoyed picking out friends right family in the crowd and
- 29:20Speaker 2: watching what they were doing and their reactions to things
- 29:23Speaker 2: and so forth. It was it was a hoot.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Wa It's one one thing that you didn't realize that
- 29:29Speaker 1: happened that you didn't see in person that was really
- 29:32Speaker 1: fun for you to watch when you watched it back.
- 29:37Speaker 3: For me, you you want to say either or yeah. Yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 3: So for me, it was watching Happy and Charity handle
- 29:45Speaker 3: themselves so well with everybody and make it seem like
- 29:49Speaker 3: it almost felt like it was an award show. It
- 29:51Speaker 3: was exciting and fun, and like Gary said, watching and
- 29:55Speaker 3: watching all the people walking by, I'd say, oh, let's
- 29:58Speaker 3: rewind that, like it was in there look at So, yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 3: they did a really great time.
- 30:04Speaker 2: That's kind of what I was going to say to
- 30:05Speaker 2: the appearance of it being like a red carpet event
- 30:10Speaker 2: where you know, people would walk through and you would
- 30:12Speaker 2: see familiar faces and people that you knew and and
- 30:16Speaker 2: all of that. It's just like, it's such an awesome
- 30:19Speaker 2: experience to see.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's a really great thing that you have
- 30:26Speaker 1: for the future. You have a television network recording your wedding,
- 30:33Speaker 1: which is in high definition and the best of the best,
- 30:36Speaker 1: so amazing. Yeah, I would love to hear or I'm
- 30:52Speaker 1: just curious because I told you this story on the
- 30:54Speaker 1: pickleball court, but about when you were watching it back
- 31:00Speaker 1: and Ryan turned to me and said what he said?
- 31:04Speaker 1: Did you guys like see that and think what did
- 31:09Speaker 1: he just say to her?
- 31:10Speaker 2: Or yes, what did he say?
- 31:13Speaker 3: I know what he said.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I replayed it and replayed it trying to lip read,
- 31:16Speaker 2: and I couldn't I know that I.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Told you on the pickle ball court. It was a
- 31:21Speaker 1: tons of drama. So this woman on Twitter or x
- 31:26Speaker 1: or whatever it's called, decided to try to lip read
- 31:31Speaker 1: and she thought that. Ryan said, you so, Gary, it
- 31:37Speaker 1: was during your vows and you said to Teresa, I
- 31:40Speaker 1: want to make you the happiest woman on in the
- 31:43Speaker 1: world or on the planet or what you know, whatever
- 31:45Speaker 1: you said, which was so lovely by the way, And
- 31:49Speaker 1: Ryan turned to me and the lady guessed that he said,
- 31:53Speaker 1: that's never going to happen the wedding that were there
- 32:00Speaker 1: for you guys, So what he actually said was the
- 32:04Speaker 1: second second happiest. Yes, first of all, he would never
- 32:10Speaker 1: say that, and second of all, but I didn't know
- 32:14Speaker 1: if when you watched it back, if you saw that
- 32:16Speaker 1: he had said something and you were like, what did
- 32:18Speaker 1: he say? And if you kind of did the liperating
- 32:21Speaker 1: thing too.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Well, you know what, I wouldn't have known except that
- 32:25Speaker 3: we were on the pick a ball court and yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 3: and that's crazy. People come up with the craziest things,
- 32:32Speaker 3: Like in a million years, the two nicest people are
- 32:35Speaker 3: going to say something really mean like that now, and
- 32:40Speaker 3: that was really nice that he said that to you.
- 32:42Speaker 3: What a nice thing to say. I was like, yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 3: it was so nice.
- 32:52Speaker 5: You can stick around, Yeah, you can say.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Is there anything that you regret about the televised like
- 33:02Speaker 1: kind of televised part of it.
- 33:08Speaker 2: I kind of regret that people weren't able to see
- 33:12Speaker 2: more of the reception. Yeah, how much of a celebration
- 33:17Speaker 2: it was, because yeah, the ceremony is very blessed and
- 33:21Speaker 2: it's solemn, and you know, it emotes different emotions than
- 33:27Speaker 2: if you see what kind of celebration there was in
- 33:30Speaker 2: the reception. So I wish that could have been seen.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with you, Yeah, you're right, or even
- 33:36Speaker 3: more of what happened outside, But you I would have
- 33:39Speaker 3: loved for them to have seen the reception. It was
- 33:41Speaker 3: so good.
- 33:42Speaker 1: It was so good, like just so good.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Yeah, It couldn't have been better.
- 33:48Speaker 1: It couldn't have been better. I mean, really, truly, it
- 33:51Speaker 1: was amazing. But I didn't get to try the cake.
- 33:54Speaker 1: So maybe that's how I was.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I was just going to say, except I didn't get
- 33:58Speaker 3: a birthday cake from my daughter, That's what could.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I had one bite of that cake all day. I mean,
- 34:03Speaker 2: I love sweets, anything sweet, I love it. And I
- 34:07Speaker 2: had like one bite of that cake and we went
- 34:10Speaker 2: out dancing. The cake was at my you know, table setting,
- 34:13Speaker 2: and I took a bite. We went out dancing, and
- 34:15Speaker 2: I came back and it had already been cleared.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So wait, did you guys you know how there's a
- 34:23Speaker 1: tradition that you take the like like part of the
- 34:27Speaker 1: cake and put it in the freezer. Did you guys
- 34:28Speaker 1: do that?
- 34:30Speaker 2: No, because it would have been all that impossible to
- 34:33Speaker 2: get it from Palm Beach, Yeah, right, either of our houses.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Maybe you just have to reach out to the cake
- 34:41Speaker 1: company and have them make you another one next.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Oh that's a good idea.
- 34:47Speaker 1: We sh'll do that, Will say, yeah.
- 34:52Speaker 3: All right, yes she would.
- 34:56Speaker 1: A little tidbit. I don't think we actually did that.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I don't think that we I don't think we had.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I don't think we did that because same same sound.
- 35:07Speaker 1: We got married in Palm Springs too, and we were,
- 35:09Speaker 1: you know, flying home. Did you do the whole something borrowed,
- 35:15Speaker 1: something blue?
- 35:17Speaker 3: I did?
- 35:17Speaker 1: Did what we're doing.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I had blue underwear?
- 35:24Speaker 1: You did, Oh, Jurie, did you know this until?
- 35:30Speaker 2: Like? No, I didn't. By the time I got closed
- 35:34Speaker 2: from my suite and went to the suite where she was,
- 35:37Speaker 2: she was sound asleep, she was under the covers.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, something old and something well borrowed. Was
- 35:46Speaker 3: the dress actually something old? Yeah? Okay, once I was
- 35:51Speaker 3: old and something new was my my wedding man, right, what.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Was something old?
- 35:57Speaker 3: The probably I brought?
- 35:59Speaker 5: Now, you didn't get a new bra from the like lager,
- 36:10Speaker 5: I don't think.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Oh no, they didn't. There were no braths there. They
- 36:15Speaker 3: weren't covering up. They were giving you much more scantily
- 36:17Speaker 3: clad thing at the photo shoot.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Did you like that?
- 36:20Speaker 3: Sho ohh wait a minute, that's you.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I'm glad you brought that up, because you know there
- 36:28Speaker 2: is a part of it that I've objected to, you know,
- 36:31Speaker 2: with guys when we have a bachelor party. Yes, the
- 36:35Speaker 2: rule is, it's just an unwritten rule. It's hands off,
- 36:38Speaker 2: no touch right totally.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 2: So when the women had the dancers in her bachelorette party,
- 36:46Speaker 2: there was a whole lot of touching like it. I
- 36:51Speaker 2: just didn't like it.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Oh so you were asking before about what do you
- 36:59Speaker 3: think you were read it about what was televised or
- 37:02Speaker 3: not my boudoir suit? I mean I didn't That was
- 37:06Speaker 3: pretty like my grandson's and a brother.
- 37:09Speaker 1: And you didn't know about it before.
- 37:11Speaker 3: No, I didn't know about the boudoir shoot. That was well,
- 37:14Speaker 3: that was a surprise to me.
- 37:17Speaker 2: On TV because she got busted.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I got busted, do you know what? They so in
- 37:23Speaker 1: my my day that was the same. So we had
- 37:27Speaker 1: a joint bachelor and bachelorette party and at one instance
- 37:32Speaker 1: there were these two or three strippers that the boys
- 37:36Speaker 1: had at their like you know, which they didn't strip
- 37:39Speaker 1: down to everything, but they you know what, they were
- 37:41Speaker 1: there because it's a bachelor party. And they took Ryan
- 37:46Speaker 1: down to the beach. They were like holding his hand
- 37:49Speaker 1: walking him down to the beach and he's like, oh,
- 37:51Speaker 1: you're going to get me in trouble. To this day,
- 37:55Speaker 1: I'm like, excuse me, why would you be in trouble?
- 38:03Speaker 2: That's sort of self incriminating, isn't it.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I was not happy about that. But
- 38:10Speaker 1: that is one thing where you sign up for a
- 38:13Speaker 1: televised wedding and if they're going to do your bachelor
- 38:16Speaker 1: and bachelorette parties, then you have to know going and
- 38:20Speaker 1: not that you would have known, but for anyone in
- 38:23Speaker 1: the future, just know if you televise your wedding, just
- 38:27Speaker 1: expect for there to be drama for the bachelor bachelorette party.
- 38:29Speaker 1: If you don't want trauma, then maybe don't televise that part.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Oh my god, it was actually beautiful. Now the Bachelor
- 38:36Speaker 3: of party was. It was fun. It was Almos surprised me.
- 38:38Speaker 3: It's fun.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Yeah, did you keep the pictures? And are you going
- 38:42Speaker 1: to put them up in your house?
- 38:45Speaker 3: So Gary has one.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Of the gifts that I got right before the wedding
- 38:52Speaker 2: that actually brought a tear to my eye and it's
- 38:55Speaker 2: so it's beyond compare. Is the picture of true in
- 39:01Speaker 2: the white I don't even know what would you call it?
- 39:03Speaker 2: Teres the one piece and you're looking down and you're
- 39:08Speaker 2: opening two double doors and your legs are crossed at
- 39:11Speaker 2: the ankles. Yeah, I have that where I see it
- 39:14Speaker 2: every morning. Yeah, I love that picture.
- 39:16Speaker 1: It's where where is it? Where you see it every morning?
- 39:19Speaker 1: Like in your bathroom?
- 39:20Speaker 2: And no, I have a large walk in closet, okay,
- 39:23Speaker 2: and I use that closet as a locker room practically,
- 39:27Speaker 2: and it's in there and I see it every morning.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I love it.
- 39:29Speaker 2: It's nice.
- 39:31Speaker 3: N that's so nice.
- 39:33Speaker 1: That's very sweet.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I really like it.
- 39:37Speaker 3: The women all looked phenomenal about, didn't they. All those
- 39:40Speaker 3: pictures are so gordous.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I believe, I mean, hands up to
- 39:44Speaker 1: you like you women, you ladies talked about on the show,
- 39:48Speaker 1: like Joan about saying how people feel invisible as you
- 39:52Speaker 1: get older, which I totally relate do and then Sandra
- 39:56Speaker 1: or Sandra like fart, that big fart that she.
- 40:01Speaker 4: I was so good.
- 40:04Speaker 3: And so lonely.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that was such a moment. But like
- 40:11Speaker 1: all of the things that you guys talked about, you're
- 40:13Speaker 1: due just like I don't care. I'm going to just
- 40:16Speaker 1: say do this or whatever.
- 40:18Speaker 3: I love it.
- 40:18Speaker 1: We don't care.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Do you get us our an age and you don't care?
- 40:21Speaker 3: I don't know if.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I just love it? So have your families been able
- 40:29Speaker 1: to get together and really bond and blend well.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, Yeah, they've done a really good job
- 40:35Speaker 2: at that. I mean we had dinner after the final rows.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Everybody got to meet each other casually and we spent
- 40:42Speaker 2: some time. But then we also had the holiday meal
- 40:45Speaker 2: that was on the you know, on the wedding show,
- 40:48Speaker 2: and I mean everybody just they do indeed get along. Well,
- 40:54Speaker 2: they've blended well, and you know, having six grandsons to
- 40:58Speaker 2: me is a little different.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yes, how are you handling that? How is it?
- 41:03Speaker 2: I loved it. I got to buy guy stuff at
- 41:06Speaker 2: christ Guy. You know, I bought duck calls for it.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Was it was, It's great. Yeah.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I love seeing him fixing, helping fix their ties. That's
- 41:23Speaker 3: the thing I had not seen that was so great.
- 41:25Speaker 3: I loved that.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:28Speaker 3: See, I'm sure we're going to watch it again because
- 41:31Speaker 3: you know we did, you know, drink it all in
- 41:33Speaker 3: and see things that we missed. Yeah, it's so great. Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Do you have plans to watch it? Like I know
- 41:41Speaker 1: that there are some people that pull out their writing
- 41:43Speaker 1: video every year or every five years or whatever. Do
- 41:47Speaker 1: you have plans to watch it in any regular scheduling?
- 41:52Speaker 3: No, they haven't thought of that, but that's a great idea.
- 41:55Speaker 3: To do it once a year, that'd be awesome.
- 41:58Speaker 2: That's yeah, I don't know Trista. At my age, I
- 42:01Speaker 2: don't even buy green bananas, so you know, thinking about
- 42:05Speaker 2: a five year plan.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Have a five year plan in five years, right.
- 42:09Speaker 2: You know five years? You know that's a lot.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's like what did you say in
- 42:16Speaker 1: the ceremony, Teresa about how you were Like, oh, yes, I.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Did, Oh my gosh, I said, and I promised to
- 42:23Speaker 4: have some for the rest of our lives, which could
- 42:25Speaker 4: be another hour or something like that. And I only
- 42:29Speaker 4: thought of that, like when I was practicing with my daughter.
- 42:33Speaker 3: I said that. That was the first time I said it,
- 42:34Speaker 3: because you should keep that in. You should keep that in.
- 42:37Speaker 3: That was really good and I want, honestly, I wanted
- 42:41Speaker 3: the vows to have some humor in it, like yeah,
- 42:43Speaker 3: to just be so so you know, serious. But I
- 42:48Speaker 3: also said something else where. Susan said, where do you
- 42:52Speaker 3: see yourselves in ten years? And I said dead? But yes,
- 42:56Speaker 3: they cut that out. They cut it out. See you
- 43:00Speaker 3: only see that me mouth the words.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Got it a joke.
- 43:05Speaker 3: I don't know. I really think we're a little to
- 43:07Speaker 3: be on one hundred and four, one hundred and twenty.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I don't know. I think we're gone.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And for Susan, how do you guys feel like Susan.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Did amazing Susan. Nobody could have done it better. Oh
- 43:29Speaker 3: my god, she was so great.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I personally loved when she said when I first met you, Gary,
- 43:36Speaker 1: I said I was going to marry you. Yeah.
- 43:39Speaker 2: I was like, yes, the nice thing was Susan. You know,
- 43:46Speaker 2: she has this energy, but I think both Teresa and
- 43:49Speaker 2: I have sort of an emotional connection to her. She
- 43:52Speaker 2: has the ability to draw people into her and make
- 43:56Speaker 2: friends with everyone. So you know, literally she did give
- 44:00Speaker 2: me that sign of you know, tapping her heart during
- 44:03Speaker 2: the Rose ceremonies, and and you know she did it,
- 44:06Speaker 2: you know, in the early part of the ceremony. And
- 44:09Speaker 2: she just has a way.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, yeah, yeah, And she's somebody who blew
- 44:15Speaker 3: us away with how well she did it went way
- 44:17Speaker 3: above and beyond. And she looked so gorgeous. I mean,
- 44:20Speaker 3: how great was she in that black.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I mean everyone was gorgeous, honestly, and everyone looked Yeah,
- 44:29Speaker 1: even the guests that I didn't know. Every it was
- 44:31Speaker 1: just a beautiful just a beautiful group of people.
- 44:36Speaker 2: It was.
- 44:36Speaker 1: It was amazing. How was it looking out? I just
- 44:40Speaker 1: have a couple more questions and then I'll let you
- 44:42Speaker 1: go and you can have more than just lentil soup?
- 44:50Speaker 1: So how was it looking out into you know, this
- 44:53Speaker 1: crowd of people and not knowing a lot of us?
- 44:56Speaker 1: I mean, obviously you know you knew me, and but right, well,
- 45:00Speaker 1: I guess you had met Ryan at the after the
- 45:02Speaker 1: final rows, but a lot of the Bachelor people you
- 45:04Speaker 1: probably had not met yet. Correct, So how did that
- 45:08Speaker 1: feel like?
- 45:09Speaker 3: Is that? Yes? It felt overwhelming and exciting and like
- 45:13Speaker 3: oh my.
- 45:13Speaker 1: God, look is there?
- 45:14Speaker 3: And oh my god. Yeah, yeah it was. It was
- 45:16Speaker 3: pretty exciting. Yes, I would say that. How do you feel?
- 45:20Speaker 2: Gary Bradford had given me a little bit of a primer.
- 45:24Speaker 2: We went to a number of pictures and you know
- 45:27Speaker 2: the names and some of the history, so it wasn't
- 45:31Speaker 2: my first time, you know, seeing them, but I had
- 45:34Speaker 2: no real connection with them, you know, just to say
- 45:37Speaker 2: oh they were at such and such season, you know,
- 45:39Speaker 2: it didn't really mean much. So you know, as the
- 45:42Speaker 2: night wore on and I got to meet them and
- 45:44Speaker 2: see their true personalities and everything. It was nice to do.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but do you guys feel the like family, like
- 45:53Speaker 1: the familial connections everyone?
- 45:56Speaker 3: Oh, definitely, yeah, they're all everyone so lovely, such nice people,
- 46:02Speaker 3: and so yeah, starting to feel that way. It's great.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I love it. I've been wanting them to do like
- 46:09Speaker 1: some kind of reunion with everybody. I know it's probably
- 46:14Speaker 1: impossible because that would be thousands and thousands of people
- 46:19Speaker 1: like who have been on every show, but I just
- 46:23Speaker 1: think it would be so fun to just reunite with
- 46:27Speaker 1: some people, you.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Know, Yeah, that'd be tremendous.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Okay, So what is next for both of you? I
- 46:34Speaker 1: know you're doing working on the move, are you? I
- 46:38Speaker 1: know you went back to your job, right, Teresa?
- 46:41Speaker 2: I did.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's really yes, straightening out this house so
- 46:47Speaker 3: we're living here and then looking for we have many
- 46:50Speaker 3: trips planned, so many trips planned for the year, and
- 46:54Speaker 3: looking for a home and going to Italy and going
- 46:57Speaker 3: to Indiana and going to South Carolina and here we
- 47:00Speaker 3: have and then going to it's Orange Beach. So we're
- 47:04Speaker 3: going to a trip with his pickleball friends and.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Oh how fun.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Yeah, So.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Why from my partner, my pickleball partner.
- 47:15Speaker 3: That's right, that's amazing.
- 47:17Speaker 1: That is that's amazing. Have you been to way either
- 47:21Speaker 1: you know, oh you have okay, love love love that
- 47:26Speaker 1: you just learned that about him, by the way that you're.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Still just learn that. I just learned that.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Just I love it, okay, And so lots of trips,
- 47:40Speaker 1: still working and then Gary, are you going to keep
- 47:43Speaker 1: the the lake house?
- 47:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a that's a question I have to answer
- 47:48Speaker 2: for myself, and I don't know yet. I really like
- 47:54Speaker 2: the summers here. There's activity constant, and I'm fortunate enough
- 48:00Speaker 2: my house is next door to the one bar and
- 48:02Speaker 2: grill on the lake, so people are coming in to eat,
- 48:07Speaker 2: and the weekends are just frantically busy. I can sit
- 48:09Speaker 2: on my deck and just say hi to people that
- 48:12Speaker 2: I've known for, you know, the six or seven years here.
- 48:14Speaker 2: It's great. But also by about October or even late September,
- 48:22Speaker 2: clear and through April, it's there's nothing going on, and
- 48:25Speaker 2: it's gray and it's dismal. And so I've really thought
- 48:29Speaker 2: for the last couple of years about, you know, not
- 48:31Speaker 2: staying here any longer. So I really don't kind of
- 48:34Speaker 2: think about that and decide what to do. And I
- 48:36Speaker 2: haven't decided.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Yet, how do your girls feel?
- 48:40Speaker 2: I think they're okay with it. We've had so many
- 48:42Speaker 2: good holidays here. Yeah, you know, every summer there's probably
- 48:46Speaker 2: four or five times through the summer that they're here
- 48:48Speaker 2: and we have a party of a good time. Yeah,
- 48:52Speaker 2: but I think they'd be okay, especially since Teresa and
- 48:55Speaker 2: I have the priority of whereever we go, we're going
- 48:59Speaker 2: to have a house that is sort of a destination
- 49:02Speaker 2: house for everyone. Whether it's close to the ocean or
- 49:05Speaker 2: with a pool or you know, the things that will
- 49:08Speaker 2: attract our family to come and enjoy visits. So yeah,
- 49:11Speaker 2: it will be find either way.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Awesome. Well, I I just I loved my time with
- 49:19Speaker 1: you Gary on the show. And I'm so happy that
- 49:23Speaker 1: our little conversation played a part in yeah, in your
- 49:28Speaker 1: happy ending. And and I just was so honored to
- 49:34Speaker 1: be in, you know, amongst the guests, to be able
- 49:37Speaker 1: to support you guys and watch you say your ideas.
- 49:41Speaker 1: It was just a beautiful day, just a beautiful day
- 49:44Speaker 1: all around, just so much love.
- 49:47Speaker 3: We were so thrilled that you were there, and this
- 49:51Speaker 3: time the time you came on the show and met
- 49:54Speaker 3: with us girls, we love to do so.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Much well, I mean I loved that moment. Yeah, so
- 50:00Speaker 1: I wish they would have shown more of that because
- 50:03Speaker 1: I was there for obviously a lot longer. They put
- 50:07Speaker 1: a lot of stuff on the cutting room floor because
- 50:08Speaker 1: they don't have a lot of time. But yeah, that
- 50:11Speaker 1: was really special to me to be able to meet
- 50:14Speaker 1: you guys at the mansion.
- 50:15Speaker 2: And it's nice to know that you're aware of how
- 50:19Speaker 2: influential you were. You know, just those brief comments really
- 50:25Speaker 2: made me stop and think about what I wanted and
- 50:29Speaker 2: how I needed to prioritize things and so forth. Yeah,
- 50:32Speaker 2: I really am grateful. Every time I hear your name
- 50:35Speaker 2: and see your face, it's like, because, Okay, there's somebody
- 50:38Speaker 2: that's really really the original good heart of this franchise.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Thank you here. I mean, I just got lucky, you know.
- 50:46Speaker 1: It was the right time at the right place, and
- 50:48Speaker 1: I got lucky with Ryan.
- 50:50Speaker 3: But how do you keep getting more and more beautiful
- 50:53Speaker 3: and looking younger?
- 50:54Speaker 1: Oh you keep doing beg to differ, but I will
- 50:57Speaker 1: take it. Thank you so much. And I had a
- 51:02Speaker 1: lot of help the day of Yes, professionals, we're helping me.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I know you had Gina. Actually Gina was supposed to
- 51:11Speaker 1: do my hair and makeup, and then they were like, yes, sorry,
- 51:14Speaker 1: she's gonna be with the bride. I'm like, okay, I
- 51:16Speaker 1: guess that's okay. I guess I'll share her.
- 51:25Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 51:26Speaker 1: No, of course, it was all about you. You needed
- 51:29Speaker 1: to have your people and she's amazing. So she's amazing. Yes,
- 51:34Speaker 1: it was. It was just a beautiful day. So thank
- 51:36Speaker 1: you so much for including Ryan and I and our kids.
- 51:39Speaker 1: You know, the fact that they got to be there
- 51:41Speaker 1: and and meet you guys and meet your families and
- 51:45Speaker 1: hang out at the pickleball court was just so much fun.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Precious memories and your kids are darling.
- 51:52Speaker 3: It was wonderful.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Thanks so much. Well, thank you guys for joining a
- 51:59Speaker 1: f I am so happy for your you both Please
- 52:03Speaker 1: stay in touch, like, please stay in touch. Not kidding, Okay,
- 52:07Speaker 1: if I come out to Indiana, I'm I'm giving you
- 52:11Speaker 1: a call because I need to visit my mom in Lafayette.
- 52:13Speaker 1: And how far is Lafayette from you?
- 52:15Speaker 2: It'd be ninety minutes or so.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Yeah, not that far.
- 52:19Speaker 2: You can have the jet ski that day and I
- 52:23Speaker 2: want to.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's great.
- 52:27Speaker 1: So just congratulations to you. Both both are just glowing
- 52:32Speaker 1: with happiness and I'm just so happy for you.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Christa, you're the best.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Thank you
