- 0:00Speaker 1: Chapter ten. The net the Kingdom of Heaven is likened
- 0:05Speaker 1: to a net that was cast into the sea and
- 0:07Speaker 1: gathered of every kind, which when it was full, they
- 0:10Speaker 1: drew to shore and sat down and gathered the good
- 0:13Speaker 1: into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it
- 0:17Speaker 1: be at the end of the world. The angels shall
- 0:19Speaker 1: come forth and sever the wicked from among the just,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and shall cast them into the furnace of fire. There
- 0:25Speaker 1: shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. The casting of
- 0:29Speaker 1: the net is the preaching of the Gospel. This gathers
- 0:33Speaker 1: both good and evil into the church. When the mission
- 0:36Speaker 1: of the Gospel is completed, the judgment will accomplish the
- 0:39Speaker 1: work of separation. Christ saw how the existence of false
- 0:43Speaker 1: brethren in the Church would cause the way of truth
- 0:46Speaker 1: to be Evil spoken of the world would revile the
- 0:49Speaker 1: Gospel because of the inconsistent lives of false professors. Even
- 0:53Speaker 1: Christians would be caused to stumble as they saw that
- 0:56Speaker 1: many who bore Christ's name were not controlled by his spirit.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Because these sinners were in the church, men would be
- 1:02Speaker 1: in danger of thinking that God excused their sins. Therefore,
- 1:07Speaker 1: Christ lifts a veil from the future and bids all
- 1:09Speaker 1: to behold that it is character, not position, which decides
- 1:13Speaker 1: man's destiny. Both the parable of the Tears and that
- 1:16Speaker 1: of the gnat plainly teach that there is no time
- 1:19Speaker 1: when all the wicked will turn to God. The wheat
- 1:22Speaker 1: and the tears grow together, until the harvest, the good
- 1:25Speaker 1: and the bad fish are together drawn ashore for a
- 1:27Speaker 1: final separation. Again, these parables teach that there is to
- 1:32Speaker 1: be no probation after the judgment. When the work of
- 1:35Speaker 1: the Gospel is completed, there immediately follows the separation between
- 1:39Speaker 1: the good and evil, and the destiny of each class
- 1:42Speaker 1: is forever fixed. God does not desire the destruction of
- 1:46Speaker 1: any as I live, saith the Lord God. I have
- 1:49Speaker 1: no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that
- 1:52Speaker 1: the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn ye,
- 1:55Speaker 1: turn ye from your evil ways, for why will ye die?
- 1:58Speaker 1: Throughout the period of probationary time, his spirit is entreating
- 2:02Speaker 1: men to accept the gift of life. It is only
- 2:05Speaker 1: those who reject his pleading that will be left to perish.
- 2:09Speaker 1: God has declared that sin must be destroyed as an
- 2:11Speaker 1: evil ruinous to the universe. Those who cling to sin
- 2:15Speaker 1: will perish in its destruction. End of chapter ten,
