- 0:01A California deli exchanging food for American silver Eagles.
- 0:07We know there's also a challenge in the supply side in 90% silver
- 0:11right now. What is this telling us about
- 0:14the precious metals markets? Today?
- 0:16We're joined by Daniel Diaz from Citizens for Sound Money.
- 0:19We're going to cover that and a lot more.
- 0:21Hey, Daniel, thanks for joining us today on the live stream.
- 0:25Absolutely. Great.
- 0:26Great to see you. So what do you think about this?
- 0:28Let's dive right in to a California deli.
- 0:32Here's a a sign. Excuse me, on their window.
- 0:36Bring your Silver Eagles. We now accept one ounce American
- 0:40Silver Eagle coins, $10 over spot price.
- 0:44What do you what do you make of this?
- 0:46I think it's genius. I mean, he's exchanging food for
- 0:51silver and he's already making a profit on the food and then he's
- 0:54giving you $10 over spot, which is right now $39.00 or $40.00.
- 1:03So yeah, basically you're getting 2 sandwiches or maybe a
- 1:05sandwich and 1/2 for, for a Silver Eagle.
- 1:08I think it's, it's awesome. I think it's smart.
- 1:11I think this is the way the entire country and world is
- 1:13heading, getting back to sound money because, well, the dollar,
- 1:18why don't I use the quote from that song Richmond North of
- 1:22Richmond. But you know what I'm going to
- 1:23say the dollar is, is Monopoly money.
- 1:26And you know, it's, it's time that we get back to sound money
- 1:30because sound markets require it.
- 1:32A, a sound, a sound economy requires sound money.
- 1:35And right now, it's anything but sound.
- 1:38Yeah, it's an interesting prospect.
- 1:40It's actually also coincidentally just down the
- 1:44street from a coin shop. Now, this story was broke by a
- 1:49friend of my channel, A Pound of Gold YouTube channel.
- 1:52So I want to give him credit on that.
- 1:55And he actually took these pictures.
- 1:56I'm going to run out real quickly and show people where
- 2:00they can check out the story. This is the Pound of Gold
- 2:04YouTube channel and don't go now, but later on here's here's
- 2:09where he broke the story. A store swapping food for
- 2:11silver. And, you know, to me, it's, it's
- 2:15pretty fascinating what's going on out there these days that we
- 2:18have, you know, actual people, willing businesses, willing, you
- 2:23know, and that's to me, that's the, I, I know that there's,
- 2:27there's, there's a lot of businesses around the country
- 2:29that are starting to take. But that's the first time that
- 2:32I've seen somebody like kind of randomly run into it.
- 2:34And, you know, I tried like a year ago, I made a video where I
- 2:38called a bunch of Chinese restaurants in Saint Louis
- 2:41because I figured I knew Chinese people love precious metals.
- 2:44And I kept asking, you know, could I, could I pay with, with
- 2:48the American Silver Eagle? And even then they were saying
- 2:51no. So I think the shows that we're
- 2:53starting to get some, some percolation and it is
- 2:56interesting that it's right down the, you know, right down the
- 2:58Pike from a, from a, from a, from a coin store.
- 3:02You know, another one of my viewers, big Tim Silvershire, he
- 3:06brought up the point. Could we be trading grains of
- 3:09gold? He had a he had a trivia
- 3:11question for the audience. Wrong one.
- 3:16Hold on here, let me go back. OK.
- 3:20Well, of course, I screwed this one up.
- 3:24Well, big Tim Silvershire somewhere here I put out the
- 3:28question. I think there's 480 grains in an
- 3:32ounce. Does that make sense to you,
- 3:34Daniel? That.
- 3:35Sounds about right. Yeah, yeah.
- 3:37And I, I have here a, this is 1/4 grain of gold.
- 3:43You put that up there for people to see this can't that's a tiny
- 3:47tiny. That's how small and that came
- 3:50from a benchmark strategic metals.
- 3:52They make these little cards with different size, like, you
- 3:56know, very, very small fractional amounts of gold and
- 3:59and silver. So it's interesting, you know,
- 4:01you think about Daniel, what's going on in the economy, right?
- 4:06And are we moving toward the situation where things could get
- 4:10really hairy and people would need to use silver and gold just
- 4:14to conduct their everyday transactions?
- 4:17Yeah. You know, I, I think that
- 4:20fractional metal, fractional gold and silver will be
- 4:24something that we'll use again. Grains though, I mean it's
- 4:29tough. Plus grains have a very high
- 4:32premium and they don't necessarily you can't really
- 4:34sell them back with the exact same premium that you, you
- 4:37purchased. I'm more when it comes to
- 4:40physical gold and silver. I'm more inclined to purchase
- 4:45metal near spot or metals that maintain their premium.
- 4:50The most fractionally reserved premium is fractional.
- 4:55Reserve gold is a gold back and it actually maintains its
- 4:58premium. And then I would say like my
- 5:00favorites. I just wrote an article about
- 5:03like the top five coins, new stackers and gold should
- 5:07purchase number one's the Krugerrand because you can get
- 5:10them for very little over over spot.
- 5:14Sometimes you can get them as little as 10 to $15 over spot.
- 5:18Then I would say fractional, the British Sovereigns, which is
- 5:24probably the most recognizable fractional coin out there, that
- 5:27they have a pretty decent premium for how small they are.
- 5:30And then I would say the best fractional coin or francs, the
- 5:3320 francs, I mean you can get them for as little as, you know,
- 5:375 to $10 over spot. And when it comes to gold, yeah,
- 5:40when it comes to silver, I mean, you got the 110 oz rounds out
- 5:44there, the the Buffaloes, you have one in 10 oz rounds.
- 5:49The the silver guy in New Hampshire silver Dave, you know,
- 5:52so I definitely think you. Can you can also get 110th oz
- 5:56silver British Britannias and I know I bought some from my
- 6:01channel sponsor Pembex and there's a premium on those, a
- 6:04higher premium, the 110th oz coins, but they come in a little
- 6:08a little container, a little tube and people call them
- 6:11lipstick like a lipstick container, so.
- 6:14Yeah, where's my I'm looking for my tube.
- 6:17I I have a stack of one town rounds also but.
- 6:21Yeah, they're not, they're not a they're not a good idea if
- 6:23you're like seriously trying to build ounces of silver.
- 6:26But if you want something potentially you could use for
- 6:29barter at some point, or to me, honestly, it was more, I just
- 6:33like really small things. It was more of a novelty type
- 6:36thing. And they're really cool.
- 6:37And it's neat to have this little tube.
- 6:38So it's a it's an interesting. I mean, I mean, we look at the
- 6:42economy. I know recently we've heard Big
- 6:44Lots, the company Big Lots might be claiming bankruptcy.
- 6:49We heard, Yeah, yeah, Big Lots might be claiming on top of that
- 6:54yesterday, Dollar General, right, their stock tanked.
- 6:57At one point it was down 25% because their sales are
- 7:01crashing. It feels like like the economy,
- 7:04especially for the everyday person, is becoming more and
- 7:07more challenging everyday. 100% I mean we're it it.
- 7:12It's all stems to inflation and irresponsible deficit spending
- 7:18and printing more currency, and it's reverberating throughout
- 7:21the entire economy. They are doing their best to
- 7:23hide the real numbers. They're doing their best to hide
- 7:26the statistics that we are really in a recession and people
- 7:30are hurting. I mean, I use this statistic all
- 7:32the time. 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
- 7:36I mean, and very few have, you know, $1000 to their name that
- 7:41it's a sad state of affairs. And historically when you look
- 7:45when they at what, what are the metrics for upheaval and
- 7:50revolution? Typically it's when 40% of the
- 7:53persons monthly income is used, 40% or more is used for food.
- 7:57When when that threshold is hit, we start seeing unrest, we start
- 8:02seeing revolution. That's what happened during the
- 8:04Arab Spring. It was a 40% through all
- 8:08throughout the Arab world. It was 40% of food inflation.
- 8:13I mean, during the French Revolution, same thing Bolshevik
- 8:16revolution, every single time that there is an inflation of
- 8:2040% or higher when it comes to median income and, and, and the
- 8:26food that you purchase. I mean, it's, it speaks to the
- 8:31problem with the country and and the the, the the instability.
- 8:36Yeah, yeah, here. Here's an article. 2/3 of
- 8:38Americans now believe that the American Dream is unattainable.
- 8:42I saw another. I don't know if this refers to
- 8:43the same data set, but it was a Wall Street Journal.
- 8:48Yeah, here it is, right Today, 2/3 of us believe that American,
- 8:52the American dream is unattainable.
- 8:54That is, that is a searing indictment of a system that is
- 8:57coming apart at the seams right in front of our eyes.
- 9:00Now, that's a kind of a dramatic statement, but, you know, if the
- 9:04system is indeed, you know, coming apart right before our
- 9:08eyes, maybe we'll be wise to have some silver and gold stored
- 9:13up for, for, for purposes of, of, of, you know, conducting our
- 9:17day-to-day, everyday lives. Oh yeah, 100%.
- 9:21I mean, I think that you should look ideally, you know, the the
- 9:24best, the best bang for your buck when it comes to stacking
- 9:28metals. Like I see an ounce as the
- 9:31median. Anything over an ounce should be
- 9:33lower premiums. Anything under an ounce is
- 9:35higher premiums. So use that one ounce coin as as
- 9:39your standard and then know that once you go below or above, you
- 9:42know the premiums are going to change.
- 9:45But definitely when it comes to day-to-day spending, you can't.
- 9:48I mean, unless you're trying to buy a a very expensive TV or
- 9:52something, use a gold coin oz to to pay for it.
- 9:56But fractionally you can, you know, you can use 110 oz rounds
- 10:01with the premium if if they take of a premium, you can take use
- 10:04gold backs. You can use 1/5 ounce rounds
- 10:08like City Sound Money. We have our own own 1/5 ounce
- 10:10rounds. We're currently out.
- 10:12But you can still find them out that there's some dealers and
- 10:16and so forth to have them. But yeah, I mean, definitely
- 10:19we're getting to a point where I'm getting calls regularly,
- 10:24people asking me, you know, for advice on, on what they should
- 10:28put their, their currency into their, their economic energy.
- 10:31And I'm like gold and silver, you know, I always tell people,
- 10:35if you're going to stack and you know, you're going to preserve
- 10:37your wealth, I, I recommend that 808020 split 80% gold, 20%
- 10:42silver, just because gold has beaten inflation time and time
- 10:46over the last since 1999 when the, the gold was around $250 an
- 10:53ounce, we've had 850% increase, almost a really almost 1010 X
- 11:00increase in the price of gold. You know, it's beaten the S&P
- 11:03500, it's beaten the Dow Jones stock market.
- 11:07I mean, it's, it's definitely. It beat it beat the biggest
- 11:10market in the world, which is the bond market.
- 11:12Yeah, the bond market, you know. It's tanking right now.
- 11:15The bond market, you know, and our economy is, is in a, a
- 11:20triple bubble. The the American economy is, has
- 11:23three legs. It's the stock market, the real
- 11:26estate market and the bond market.
- 11:28And we have a bubble in the stock market, which we've always
- 11:31had since 1913 when the Federal Reserve started printing
- 11:34currency and pumping into the stock market.
- 11:35That was always a concern for, for those who are against the
- 11:38Federal Reserve. The stock market went another
- 11:40bubble, which is normal. Now we're in a real estate
- 11:43bubble because in 2008 they nationalized Fannie Mae and
- 11:47Freddie Mac and it added an item to the menu of the Federal
- 11:50Reserve to pump new currency into.
- 11:52So they're pumping new currency into mortgage-backed securities.
- 11:54And now we're in a bubble with the, the, with our debt
- 11:58instruments, our, the, the bond market because nobody wants to
- 12:02buy our bonds. They're getting rid of the
- 12:04dollar, you know, so the Federal Reserve as a lender last resort
- 12:07is pumping and buying all these, these bonds and Treasury notes
- 12:12with brand new currency. So it's it's we're in some
- 12:17where's the major financial issues and.
- 12:20And think and think about this, Daniel, as you talked about the,
- 12:23the situation with the bond market when nobody wants our
- 12:25bonds, OK, Nobody wants to buy our bonds.
- 12:28That means that the price of the bonds goes down and there's an
- 12:32inverse relationship that they, you know, fancy accounting speak
- 12:35between bond prices and interest rates.
- 12:38That means the interest rate, basically, if, if the US
- 12:42government is going to want to sell bonds, they're going to
- 12:44have to pay a higher interest rate, right?
- 12:46And then that higher interest rate makes a bigger interest
- 12:49expense, which adds more to the federal debt.
- 12:54And it's, it's a spiral. I mean, I don't want to be
- 12:56negative, but it's a spiral. It's not a good thing.
- 12:58It's not a pretty picture. You know, yeah, we're, we're
- 13:01borrowing money to pay interest on, on currency that we
- 13:05borrowed, right. And then we're borrowing more
- 13:09currency to pay the interest from that currency and then
- 13:11repeat, rinse, repeat. And it's a endless cycle.
- 13:14We don't bring in enough of revenue through taxation to
- 13:17cover our spending. And if we don't cut spending
- 13:20drastically by 40%, forty, 50%, we're never going to be able to
- 13:26pay down the debt. And I don't think we are ever
- 13:29going to pay down. I think we're going to have a
- 13:30hyperinflationary event, I think in October when bricks meets and
- 13:35they start discussing the, the currency that they're all going
- 13:38to start using for swaps amongst their central banks.
- 13:41I think gold might be a part of that portfolio along with all
- 13:45the local currencies. And they're going to get rid of
- 13:47the dollar and it's going to be where's that, where are the
- 13:50dollar going to go once they start getting rid of our debts,
- 13:53debt notes? Yeah, coming back to the United
- 13:55States and the to, to what does the, how's the saying go?
- 13:59The Turkey comes home to. Roost.
- 14:00The hens come home to roost. Come home to roost.
- 14:04There you go so well and at the end of the day, isn't the only
- 14:07option really that the Fed will be will have and their disposal
- 14:12would be to print more money. It's like Japan did right?
- 14:15You just print money to buy your own debt to and and it just
- 14:19become but what? But the the net end result of
- 14:22all that is devaluation, dilution of the currency.
- 14:27There's no other way. There's no other way for it for
- 14:31it to work out. I think we may have another
- 14:33guest here. Let me see if we can pull Hello
- 14:36Coin shop. Chris, can you hear us?
- 14:38How you doing guys? We're doing.
- 14:41Good I'm having I'm having issues this morning.
- 14:45No worries. Good to see.
- 14:48You. It's good to see you, buddy.
- 14:49Yeah, we're here. We're here with Daniel Diaz.
- 14:51This is the one and only. You know, Daniel and I were
- 14:54talking about just kind of what's going on out there, the,
- 14:57the, the potential for what could happen in the system.
- 14:59Daniel's got a few more minutes to stay here with us, but we're
- 15:03going to kind of pivot our conversation to talk about is,
- 15:06is we're talking about silver and gold and, and, and, and
- 15:08using it every day to this idea that we're seeing massive demand
- 15:14and challenge in the market for 90% silver.
- 15:18And I think that is a harbinger, a signpost of what's to come.
- 15:24I mean, because I was, I've got a page of notes.
- 15:27I just was talking with M1 of the owners at PMBEX about his
- 15:31input and what he sees going on in the 90% market.
- 15:34And, and, and, and he brought up a great point.
- 15:36Like there's only so much 90% silver out there right now.
- 15:41And, and, and when we look back to what happened during the
- 15:44little banking crisis a year and a half ago when we saw premium
- 15:47skyrocket on 90%, you know that if there's any part of the
- 15:51market, and this is more me saying this, that I think could
- 15:53act as a signpost of what we could see in the future for the
- 15:57silver and the gold market, It would be the 90% market.
- 16:02Because right now what we're seeing is high stress in that
- 16:06market and also challenges for coin dealers to get to get
- 16:11inventory. And Chris Coin Shop Chris is a
- 16:14lover of 90% silver. I am, you can see that.
- 16:18Yeah. Chris, what are you seeing out
- 16:20there in the 90% market right now?
- 16:23Well, it depends where. I guess it really depends where
- 16:25you're in the country. I mean, you know, where I'm at,
- 16:30you know, we're having a very hard time sourcing this stuff
- 16:32right now. The owner of the shop has gone
- 16:35to pawn shops to get it. We have called other coin shops
- 16:39to get this stuff. And depending what coin shops
- 16:42you're looking at, it's getting dicey out there with some and
- 16:47some are very plentiful at this time.
- 16:51It's getting, you know, from us at the shop.
- 16:53You know, it's, it's, it's really a dire situation because
- 16:56it seems like everybody wants it right now.
- 16:58You know, 10 years ago that wasn't the case, guys.
- 17:01That was not the case 10 years ago.
- 17:03I mean, nobody wanted people thumb their nose at it.
- 17:06They call it, you know, they basically just didn't want it,
- 17:08you know, but now, you know, for bodyboat situations that we may
- 17:13be getting into, I think it's a big plus to have as much as you
- 17:17can afford to get. Yeah, Yeah.
- 17:20The when I was talking with Mike this morning, he kind of brought
- 17:23up this idea that it kind of, it feels like a lot of the coin
- 17:27shops out there are buying it, but they're keeping it for
- 17:31themselves because they know that they can sell it.
- 17:33And that sounds like what you're, you're saying as well,
- 17:36Chris, Like it's not going up to the, and I'm not super well
- 17:39versed in the intricacies of the, of the silver and gold
- 17:42bullion markets, but it's not going up to the wholesale level.
- 17:45It's bit more being kind of eaten up all at the at the local
- 17:50coin shop level. Does that does that make sense?
- 17:52That makes that makes sense. And you know what?
- 17:55Another point I want to make on is, you know, you see a pile
- 17:58right in front of me. This didn't take one day to
- 18:00stack. OK.
- 18:02This took many, many years for me to stack this you know a few
- 18:06here, a few there. I mean it it don't you know,
- 18:09just don't judge anybody else's stack.
- 18:11It takes time to stack this stuff because now you know a
- 18:14silver dime. I don't know if you got the link
- 18:17I sent you this morning Ron, but the silver dime is roughly going
- 18:19over about 223. A silver core is melting for 539
- 18:241/2 dollars over 101058 or so. I mean so I mean that's at melt
- 18:29value. I mean, so I mean, this is
- 18:32getting very difficult to, you know, stack at some of these
- 18:36prices because a lot of this stuff I got cheaper than the
- 18:38current melt value. That's why I always say cost
- 18:42averages key just if you can just click on the silver
- 18:46quarters, Ron. The silver quarters.
- 18:49Washington Silver. Quarters.
- 18:51No, towards the top, right underneath the Go, go back, go
- 18:55back to the top. I'm.
- 18:57Back at the top, do you? See Dimes.
- 18:59Do you see Washington silver quarters?
- 19:00Barber Quarter. No, it's Washington.
- 19:04Washington Quarter. 19 It really don't matter.
- 19:06It really don't matter in the. What line down is it?
- 19:09I don't see Washington quarter. It's $5.32 if you scroll up.
- 19:13Right there. OK.
- 19:14Washington quarter right in front of my face.
- 19:16Just click. Click on that.
- 19:18Now Scroll down a little bit. Scroll down a little bit.
- 19:21Yeah. You see where it says calculator
- 19:23there? Yes.
- 19:25Here the $58 are the silver quarters in this jug, here in
- 19:30this pill, in this pill. Sorry, that's 116.
- 19:34That's 232. My Math 232.
- 19:37Thank you, Coin Shop. And just go ahead and calculate
- 19:40that. That's $1200.
- 19:43Yeah, and that one little medicine or vitamins, really.
- 19:46A vitamin bottle. Yes, that's how I stack them.
- 19:50I I don't buy the tubes, the plastic tubes, you know, I use
- 19:54that savings to buy more metals. That's how I stack.
- 19:58Them, just so our viewers know, that's the NGC coin.
- 20:03Website, NGC coin website, very interesting, very interesting,
- 20:08Chris. We're going to talk more about
- 20:11about the 90% market because if there's one guy who is the
- 20:15absolute king of junk silver, 90% silver, it's coin shop
- 20:19Chris, he talks about it on his channel.
- 20:21He knows more about it than anyone.
- 20:23He is the he's the king. He's like the Fred Sanford of
- 20:26junk silver. So we're going to talk more
- 20:28about that. But Daniel's only got a few more
- 20:30minutes to be here with us. I wanted to touch on the the
- 20:34kind of zoom out further to this idea of digitization of gold and
- 20:38silver. Daniel, are you, are you seeing
- 20:41any interesting developments in that arena or any general
- 20:44thoughts on this idea of digitization of silver and gold?
- 20:47Absolutely. You know, I, I get calls
- 20:51frequently, especially of as of the last few months of people
- 20:55asking for advice, as I mentioned earlier.
- 20:58And when it, when it comes to accessibility to their money,
- 21:04you know, they don't necessarily want to put it in gold and
- 21:06silver coins. They don't want to buy, you
- 21:08know, a bunch of silver oz. So they, they ask if there's any
- 21:14digital solutions and there are, there are quite a, there,
- 21:17there's actually quite a few digital solutions.
- 21:19You have companies like Kinesis, you have companies like Glint
- 21:23Load, Oris. These are all asset backed
- 21:27digital currency companies or companies that are use a
- 21:31database, keep track of the fractional amount of gold.
- 21:34And, and companies like Glint right now have a debit card in
- 21:38the US where you can ACH or use your debit card to buy gold.
- 21:43And then you can preserve your purchasing power or preserve
- 21:46your economic energy by converting your currency to
- 21:49money. And then you spend it like a
- 21:51daily with debit card. You know, and I, I, the people
- 21:56are moving people who have large amounts of money who are afraid
- 22:01of what's gonna happen with the stock market.
- 22:03Cause historically, if you look at the 100 and 21140 year chart
- 22:08of, of the, the Federal Reserve and when, when they lower
- 22:12interest rates, there is typically a, a, a, a, a not a
- 22:15collapse, but a, a fall in the stock market.
- 22:20But typically it lasts, you know, three months in the short
- 22:23end to several years. And every single time.
- 22:26And they're planning on doing 2 rate cuts, 75 basis points on
- 22:29September and October. So people are wanting to know
- 22:32where can they put their money? And you and you can put them in
- 22:36companies like Kinesis or if you're in the stock market, you
- 22:39can buy stocks like the Sprott, Sprott S Is it?
- 22:45The PSLV. PSLV and their gold pH.
- 22:50Yeah, I'm not sure of the gold one, but I know the physical
- 22:52silver sprout. Physical silver is PSLV.
- 22:55Right. So if you don't wanna get out,
- 22:57if you have your money in IRA, then if you wanna protect it,
- 23:00you can put it in those two stocks.
- 23:02They're backed 1 to one with Canadian 400 oz bars for gold
- 23:08and I think kilo bars for silver.
- 23:10So they'll allocate a percentage of that and they take small
- 23:13management fee. But that mean people are
- 23:15definitely putting their gold and silver and protecting it
- 23:18electronically because they're just not used to the physical
- 23:20aspect of it. That us, you know, stackers.
- 23:22I consider myself a stacker now because I'm, I'm collecting the
- 23:26physical site when I first started with digital.
- 23:28But yeah, 100% and, and you can, and some of these companies like
- 23:311 Gold Rush Gold Vaulted, you can get a debit card with these
- 23:37and these are also database companies as well.
- 23:40And, and, and, and just because we're talking about the
- 23:43digitization of silver and gold, that does not prohibit, won't
- 23:48stop any of us from continuing to stack whatever silver,
- 23:51physical silver, gold that we want to have on a person.
- 23:54It would only serve to make, to give an option to, to both us
- 23:58and a lot of other people to use gold and silver in a more
- 24:03functional manner for, for everyday transactions.
- 24:09And, and I think also the big, you know what, I, what I think a
- 24:12lot of, a lot of stackers are afraid of digitization of gold
- 24:16and silver. Well, digitization of the
- 24:18physical asset, if it's, if it's backed 100% is a good, good
- 24:22thing. And if it makes it much more
- 24:25functional, it could result in a massive wave of demand for
- 24:30physical metals as well, because that digital, those digital
- 24:33representations have to be backed up by real physical
- 24:36metal. Yeah, well, and, and almost
- 24:41every case, right for these companies, a lot of these
- 24:43companies use Bailey relationships or a bailment
- 24:47where meaning that they don't own the gold and silver.
- 24:49The minute you buy it, it's yours.
- 24:51They're just warehousing it. But remember there's paper gold
- 24:55and paper silver where you don't actually you're buying futures
- 24:57contracts, you're not actually buying the underlying asset like
- 25:00when you do when you buy sprout if you're in the stock market.
- 25:03So, but, but yeah, 100%. I mean, I, I know a lot of
- 25:07people, if you don't have it in your hand, you don't own it.
- 25:08Yeah, there's third party risk. I mean, there's third party risk
- 25:11even when you have a lot of metal in your house, right?
- 25:14I mean I was watching a YouTube video recently, I think it was
- 25:16Silver Dragon where somebody broke into one of his one of his
- 25:23supporters homes and somebody code open a very expensive safe
- 25:29and stole over $100,000 worth of gold and silver right out of his
- 25:33house. And I mean there there is always
- 25:36a third party risk even when you have it in your own home and a
- 25:39very expensive safe. Yeah, yeah, Daniel, I know you
- 25:42guys have to get running here. I'm going to run out to your

- 28:42Maybe I'll. Definitely have a hat on, but
- 28:44what hat? That's right.
- 28:46All right, buddy. Safe travels.
- 28:47Thank you. See you.
- 28:48Daniel, thank you. Daniel.
- 28:49You're welcome. See you, Chris.
- 28:52Bye bye. Coin Shop, Chris.
- 28:55Hello how are we doing doing? We're doing great.
- 28:58Now we need to talk about 90% silver because it is a harbinger
- 29:03for things to come. I'm hearing from many different
- 29:07angles that there is a minimum we can say, a challenge for a
- 29:10lot of people to source it. I think we can say that it's a
- 29:15stressed market at this point. And I, I think it's a sign for
- 29:19what's happening, what we could see coming down the road.
- 29:23Yeah, I mean, you know, I've been seeing a few people come in
- 29:26to the shop, newer people coming into the shop, and that's what
- 29:29they're really after right now is 90% or they're really
- 29:32collecting 1 oz rounds of bars wrong.
- 29:35I mean, you know, that is what they're they're staying away
- 29:37from the Eagles right now because they're too much of A
- 29:39premium on them. I'm seeing a few more people
- 29:42buying silver Maple Leaf. I'm not seeing a lot of gold
- 29:46going out the door, you know, I'm just not seeing that right
- 29:50now. You know, we have one restaurant
- 29:52in town that he is stacking, you know, 8009 thousand $10,000 at a
- 29:59time in 90% silver. He is, he is willing to accept
- 30:05dying in November 1st on silver or her restaurant.
- 30:11She's going down that path too. Interest.
- 30:14Yes, it sounds like, you know, I had a long talk with Michael,
- 30:18one of the owners at Pembeck's this morning.
- 30:20He said the 90% market is very, very hot.
- 30:25He actually said white hot. He he talked about how this
- 30:27earlier this month, right beginning of August, we had this
- 30:31the the Japanese situation, the yen carry trade.
- 30:34We had silver drop down in the, the overall demand really spiked
- 30:40during that period. I mean really spiked, right.
- 30:42We saw a big uptick in demand for silver and gold and the
- 30:47things have now kind of leveled off into the end of the month,
- 30:50but that the demand or the market for 90% is still so
- 30:55pretty much white hot. I love that word white hot.
- 30:58He said the biggest demand that they're seeing is for Dimes,
- 31:01especially the Roosevelt Dimes, and then from their quarters and
- 31:04then from their half dollars. And you know, I want to pull up
- 31:08a comment from one of our viewers.
- 31:10I always encourage our our viewer who's joining us today,
- 31:13Chris, and, and thank you for joining us, guys.
- 31:15Please subscribe to my channel, subscribe to Coin shop Chris's
- 31:19channel and give us some thumbs up.
- 31:22Super chats are always super appreciated, but I want to go
- 31:25out and show a comment that I pulled from I don't know what.
- 31:32Oh, I know what I did wrong. I'm not going to pull up that.
- 31:35I'm going to pull it up in AI. Forgot that I pulled up the
- 31:39wrong. I lost you at.
- 31:47The stage. OK, Can you hear me now,
- 31:49everybody? Chris.
- 31:51Hello. Hello.
- 31:52Hello. Hello.
- 31:53Hello. Did we lose coin shop, Chris?
- 31:56I hope not. All right.
- 31:59What the viewer said was that he pointed out examples of
- 32:03different times throughout the years where he had bought and
- 32:06sold junk silver, and it pointed out like 4 times where he made a
- 32:11lot of money. And he said this time is
- 32:14different. I'm not selling.
- 32:15I'm absolutely not selling. Like I said, we're hearing from
- 32:20Mike over at Pembacs that this market for 90% is very, and I, I
- 32:25use the word challenging stressed.
- 32:28I won't say there's a shortage yet, but again, you know, I
- 32:32think it's an important segment of the silver market that shows
- 32:34us what we could have coming down the road.
- 32:37It is challenging to find. It is a finite right.
- 32:41They're not making any more. He, you know, we joked around,
- 32:44he joked around, said I wish they were making more.
- 32:47It would, it would, you know, it would make my probably make his
- 32:50life as a bullion dealer much, much easier.
- 32:55Guys, the other big news story that we got this morning was
- 32:58inflation. Let's go out to Pembex and take
- 33:01a look at the an update on the gold and silver price because we
- 33:07were under a little bit of stress this morning.
- 33:08This is not, this is about 1/2 hour old data.
- 33:12So we're going to press the pin backs magic button and see what
- 33:14we get for the gold price. Come on.
- 33:16OK, down $10. We're still above 2500 and gold
- 33:20$2510. Silver fighting to hold on to 29
- 33:25dollars per oz if you want to get your hands on some silver,
- 33:29gold or even 90% silver before what we all anticipate could be
- 33:35a big run up in price, right? Not giving financial advice,
- 33:38nobody has a crystal ball, but if you are looking for silver,
- 33:42gold or platinum group, do yourself a favor, check out
- 33:45channel sponsor Pinbecks. I've said it many times and I'll
- 33:49say it again, I worked with them before they sponsored Ron's
- 33:53basement. Actually learned about the
- 33:55company from you guys from Basement dwellers who told me
- 33:58hey you should check out this company Pembacs.
- 34:00Always had a great experience with Pembacs.
- 34:03I think you will too. What I like about them is they
- 34:07always have ultra competitive prices.
- 34:10OK, they got a great selection and it's a company I can trust.
- 34:14I don't have to run around to, you know, 20 different websites
- 34:17and and then, you know, try to find a good prize and then try
- 34:20to research this company and read all the reviews.
- 34:23I just know for me it's a great one stop shop and boy, you know
- 34:27when you get the package in the mail from Pimbex, you can always
- 34:29rest assured that it's going to be it's going to be packed up
- 34:33like Fort Knox, OK? And because you got a great
- 34:36price, the package you get will be just a little bit heavier.
- 34:41All right, let's go over this 90% silver guys, we got to
- 34:45remember this is silver, OK? At the end of the day, you know,
- 34:50whether you like junk silver, 90% silver or not, it is silver.
- 34:54They aren't making any more of it.
- 34:56The premiums did skyrocket the last time that we had a little
- 34:59stress in the market during the little banking crisis that you
- 35:03may remember that we had back back about 16 months ago.
- 35:08Some people think it's good for barter.
- 35:10One of the interesting things that I like about about 90%
- 35:14silver also is that 90, while it's 90% silver, 90% of
- 35:19Americans don't even know about it or understand it.
- 35:22And if things do get very challenging in the economy and
- 35:26more of the sheeple, the average American people decide that they
- 35:30want to get their hands on some silver, those quarters, those
- 35:35Dimes, those 50 Cent pieces will look very, very recognizable.
- 35:39They'll be very comfortable with them, right.
- 35:41You put a silver Krugerant in their hand, they're going to
- 35:43say, what's this? I've, I've never seen this guy
- 35:45before. But you put a Washington quarter
- 35:48from 1961 or 1954, it's going to look and feel familiar to them.
- 35:53OK, I think we lost our friend coin shop Chris again.
- 35:58So I'm going to, I'm going to run through this.
- 35:59Oh, hey, please, guys, big news, big news.
- 36:05Don't forget this is your last chance.
- 36:08Tomorrow, August 31st at the 10:00 AM tomorrow morning,
- 36:12Saturday, August 31st live stream, we're going to be giving
- 36:14away these 16 ounces of silver. Look, look over on the side.
- 36:19I'll show you. Here's the 10 oz bar.
- 36:21It's real. It's here and it will be given
- 36:23away tomorrow. One person will win all 16
- 36:27ounces again during the 10 AM live stream Central Time on
- 36:32Saturday, tomorrow, August 31st. If you want to enter the
- 36:36giveaway, one and three per person, you can go to the
- 36:39description of this video when we're done and there's a link
- 36:42where you can go and register for the giveaway.
- 36:49Let me, let's just go over this morning.
- 36:51Probably why the gold and silver prices are being hit.
- 36:56We had the PCE inflation numbers that came out.
- 36:59The Commerce Department reported that the personal consumption
- 37:02expenditures price index rose .2% on the month and was up 2.5%
- 37:08from the same period a year ago. So year on year prices are up
- 37:132.5%, exactly in line with the Dow Jones consensus estimate,
- 37:19excluding volatile food and energy prices.
- 37:22Core PCE, which is what apparently the Fed really
- 37:25watches, also increased .2% for the month, but was up 2.6 from a
- 37:30year ago. The 12 month figure was slightly
- 37:34softer. So the inflation numbers did
- 37:36come in right about, we're expected maybe a little bit
- 37:39lower. In theory that should have been
- 37:42a little bit positive for the silver and gold price, but what
- 37:46we're seeing and we're going to go back out and check again at
- 37:48the Pembex website here in a second, but what we're seeing is
- 37:51a bit of a draw down in silver and gold this morning.
- 37:55What's happening right now is we are in this big when it comes to
- 37:59the to the silver and gold price and we always are going to look
- 38:01at everything through that lens of the silver and gold price
- 38:04because that's what we like to talk about.
- 38:07But everything's kind of been limbo ish with the Fed.
- 38:10People are pretty sure, absolutely sure almost that the
- 38:13Fed is going to lower rates by at least 1/4 of a percentage
- 38:17point in September at the September meeting.
- 38:20And we need to look at a calendar that may just be here
- 38:22in the next few weeks. But there's this debate.
- 38:25Will the Fed lower rates even more?
- 38:28The .5%, You know, last I'd heard there was like a 70%
- 38:32chance that we'd get a 1/4 point rate reduction in about a 30%
- 38:37chance that we would get a half percentage point downward
- 38:42adjustment in the in the Fed rate through their monetary
- 38:46policy decision. We're in this state of limbo,
- 38:49you know, we're getting all this information, you know, the oh,
- 38:51the economies soft landing and you know, we had GDP numbers
- 38:55this week and now we get these inflation numbers that are right
- 38:59in line with expectations, of course.
- 39:02And then we had a the the unemployment continuing claims
- 39:06number yesterday, which indicated that the labor market
- 39:11know what we were hoping. We don't want people to lose
- 39:13their jobs. But you know, what we were
- 39:15hoping for was an actual accurate number because we know
- 39:20how how skewed their numbers are.
- 39:22And we didn't, you know, what we got was a number that showed
- 39:25that the labor market was rather strong.
- 39:27Now we got to ask this question, right?
- 39:29Do we believe the numbers that they told us yesterday about the
- 39:32job market, right? Because don't forget, don't
- 39:35forget, there's 818,000 Americans out there who have
- 39:39imaginary jobs, right? Because we learned just what
- 39:42last week that the Bureau of Labor and Statistics adjusted
- 39:48the number of jobs that they thought they had created from
- 39:51March of 2023 through March of 2024.
- 39:55They reduced it down like, oh, we made a mistake.
- 39:58We over reported how many jobs were created by 818,000.
- 40:03So go talk to those 18818 thousand Americans who don't
- 40:08have a job, who don't have any money.
- 40:10Even if they did, they couldn't afford because like we talked
- 40:12earlier, right, companies like Big Lots.
- 40:16Are claiming bankruptcy. What was the other one?
- 40:19The Dollar General is like the stock like cratered yesterday
- 40:24because their sales were down and their profits were down.
- 40:27Dollar General look, I love those types of stores.
- 40:30You know I'm a tight wad, right? There's a Dollar General that we
- 40:33we go to when we're down in Orange Beach.
- 40:35I don't have any around here. But but that's where a lot of
- 40:39the the core like middle, lower middle America goes to get a lot
- 40:44of their products. What does it tell us tell us
- 40:46about the health of the economy that those companies are
- 40:48shrinking? I think we've got coin shop.
- 40:50Chris back again. Chris, are you going to make
- 40:53another cameo appearance? I'm trying to, I'm trying to
- 40:56burn the stream. Stream yard stuff.
- 40:58Ron, I got my cameras turned the right way for you all.
- 41:01Now, man, you're on top. You're all right.
- 41:05You're you're on top of it, brother.
- 41:07So once again we have coin shop, Chris, the king of junk silver,
- 41:11the king of constitutional silver, right, Chris?
- 41:13I mean, you love that stuff. What are your?
- 41:16Thoughts about. Yeah.
- 41:18I mean, I I love it. I mean, everything.
- 41:24It seems like everybody wants it now.
- 41:26I mean, just, you know, we were just talking just before it, you
- 41:29know, a few years ago. Nobody wanted it, Ron.
- 41:31You know, they said, no, it's not worth.
- 41:33It's not worth it. And, you know, I kept playing
- 41:36the case, you know, it. It's the best value that you're
- 41:39banging for your buck. You know, when we were in the
- 41:41banking crisis, this stuff went up almost nearly 35 times.
- 41:44Face Ron I mean, that was insane to see that some places were up
- 41:49to 40 times face I remember, you know, I'm seeing online, some
- 41:53online Boeing deals were charging $40.00 for two half
- 41:57dollars. It was insane.
- 42:00I mean, then it seemed like I don't know where all the
- 42:02inventory came back into the marketplace, but this, you know,
- 42:06it seems like it's just drying up once again, you know, I was
- 42:11listening to. Go ahead, go ahead.
- 42:15Well, no, Mike from Pinbacks brought up a great point.
- 42:17Like it's finite, right? I mean, it's silver.
- 42:19It's kind of a double. It's double double finite,
- 42:22right, because there's only so much silver in the world.
- 42:25But on top of that, when it comes to those coins method
- 42:28during those periods, there's only so much in in.
- 42:33Hey, thank you, Silvershire. Wow, what a super chat.
- 42:36That's awesome. Thank you, my friend.
- 42:38I was supposed to show a, a quote from, from Silvershire,
- 42:41but I forgot to load all the stuff up to my thought.
- 42:44It's finite. Silver is finite.
- 42:46On top of that, the, the, the 90% silver is finite.
- 42:51It's very recognizable to Americans, OK, you know, and,
- 42:56and Mike, Mike, I think it's funny he brought he, he joked
- 42:59when he said this, he said, he said it's finite.
- 43:00He said, I wish they were making more of it because I think it
- 43:04would make his life a lot easier, right.
- 43:06But they're not making any more of it.
- 43:08And you know, what do you think about this?
- 43:10Chris? Did do they call it 90% silver
- 43:13because 90% of Americans have no idea what it is.
- 43:17No, it's made out of 90% serving 10% copper and you know, Mike's
- 43:22light, you know, I mean, because I was looking at pinbacks a
- 43:24couple weeks ago. The last two weeks they were
- 43:26out, they got it back in stock. You know the Roosevelt Dimes.
- 43:29I'm I'm talking about you know, they have a great they have
- 43:32great prices. You know, as of seven AI don't
- 43:35maybe you can pull up their flight, Ron as of 7:56 AM on the
- 43:39East Coast, they have 10 face bag of several cores was
- 43:432/31/20. The Dimes they finally got back
- 43:47in that they they were 11570 for a roll of $5.00 face bag and the
- 43:54half dollars for Franklin's were 2356 for a dollar face.
- 43:58Those are some gosh darn good prices.
- 44:02You know, I mean, if you can get it between right now 22 and 25
- 44:06times face, you're really doing yourself good.
- 44:09If you can get that melt, even better.
- 44:12You know, I've been hearing that, you know, at melt, you
- 44:14know, you know, that's even a better price.
- 44:17So, so I pulled up if you can, you see the screen right now,
- 44:22Chris? Yes.
- 44:24I pulled up the hopefully you can see the Pembacs website.
- 44:28They're 90%, so like a 90, a 90% American Franklin half dollar.
- 44:33Some, some of our viewers may not know this.
- 44:35So, so if you buy two of these, right, that's a dollar that
- 44:40that's what the FB stands for that makes $1.00 at face value
- 44:43by 250 cent pieces. You're going to pay as low as
- 44:48that's the cash price at volume $22.16, OK.
- 44:52Right. That's if you buy more than like
- 44:542020 lots. Right.
- 44:56And you're paying with with like an ACH payment, that type of
- 44:59thing. Correct.
- 45:01But so, so you're, you're getting for, for one, you buy
- 45:04two of them, that's $1.00 face value and you are getting .715
- 45:12ounces of silver, correct? For a dollar, I mean for a
- 45:16dollar, yeah, yeah, OK. And that and that counts for any
- 45:20quarters and Dimes. Also the easiest way to
- 45:23calculate this for me, any dollar 40 face.
- 45:28So $1.40 face and 90% silver equals to one ounce of silver.
- 45:35Of silver, right, That's kind of six or one half dozen the other.
- 45:38But if it's a dollar face, if it's four quarters, 10 Dimes,
- 45:42250 cent pieces, or if it's 150 cent piece with five Dimes,
- 45:49that's a dollar face value. You get .71, a little under 3/4
- 45:54of an ounce of actual silver, which is why the price is lower
- 45:59right now than what the spot price is on silver, correct?
- 46:04Correct. Yes.
- 46:05Yeah, and they're not making any more of this stuff, right?
- 46:09There's always a chance. I know for a while there I was.
- 46:12What were those things? I was buying 50 Cent.
- 46:14I was buying this what, 65 to 69 you were?
- 46:18Buying the 40% is yes. Yeah, that's a whole different.
- 46:21I mean that's a, we won't even get into that, but and there's
- 46:24some wow. So that's like $100 face value
- 46:27bag of Washington quarters that you showed earlier, right?
- 46:33Right there. So it takes four of those to
- 46:36make to make that that that $1.00 face value.
- 46:42That's. Correct.
- 46:43Like what I the other thing I like about this is is obviously
- 46:46cuz they're not making any more, but also because it could become
- 46:50collectible at some point, right?
- 46:51People say it's junk, blah blah blah.
- 46:53Well, you know, it could. There's always a chance, I'm not
- 46:57giving financial advice, a chance that they could become
- 47:00kind of a numismatic type thing, right?
- 47:03I mean, you never know. It's something like this one.
- 47:05I'm not sure my camera's gonna pick this up.
- 47:07I'm gonna try it. I.
- 47:08Can see it. I can see it.
- 47:09You're. Out there, you know, these are
- 47:10almost like a like a BU coin here.
- 47:14I'm trying to get my camera here.
- 47:16Moving forward, your camera on your there it is.
- 47:19Yeah, right. We can see those are you know
- 47:22those are some BU ones and they they would only book a bit more.
- 47:25But some of these when you order these through online deals like
- 47:28pin backs, you will find some of these like.
- 47:34OK, we lost coin shop Chris again.
- 47:39Well, hey, guys, You know what? I think we're going to.
- 47:41Let's see if we can get him back.
- 47:42We'll give him another shot here.
- 47:44Hello, Chris, can you hear us? We can't hear you.
- 47:47I can hear you. OK, we can hear you now.
- 47:50Go ahead. All right, and this is, you
- 47:52know, I mean, I, I bought rolls from online deals before and
- 47:55sometimes you get a lot, you know, a mixed bag of B us or,
- 48:01you know, not so much be used. You know, it's circulated with
- 48:04rolls too. I mean, you know, if you get
- 48:06some B us, they're worth a little bit more because they're
- 48:08in better shape. So you may want to put those
- 48:10ones on the side, put them in another jug.
- 48:14You know, that's how I try to separate the, you know,
- 48:16especially the halves. I love the Franklins.
- 48:18I love the walkins. The a lot of problems with the
- 48:21walkins, they got a little bit of wear on them.
- 48:23You know, they are some be used, you know, even the your Barber
- 48:26halves have some wear on them. You know, I just stack normally
- 48:29what I stack is the Washington silver quarters, the Franklin
- 48:33halves and the Roosevelt Dimes. That is what I go into.
- 48:38You, you brought up a great point, Chris, that I think I
- 48:40want to cover. I want to share this with our
- 48:42viewers. It's very critical for them to
- 48:44understand if they do decide to buy 90% or some people call it
- 48:49constitutional, some people call it junk, right, right.
- 48:53Like you. You're the Fred Sanford of junk
- 48:55silver, right? That's right.
- 48:58The king of junk coin shop, Chris.
- 48:59But another important thing for people to remember is that when
- 49:03you buy it, you're buying old coins.
- 49:05So unless you're buying coins that are being represented to
- 49:09you as being uncirculated or they're graded somehow as being
- 49:13higher grade, you're going to get coins that are worn right.
- 49:18I think that that surprises some people.
- 49:20If you're buying just the, the, the, the junk, you know, the,
- 49:24the 90% silver and you're not paying any type of premium to
- 49:28get like, you know, better grade coins.
- 49:30You're going to get, you're going to get coins that are,
- 49:32that are likely, I'm going to they, they were used for decades
- 49:36and decades and they'll be worn down.
- 49:38You may not see feathers and eagles.
- 49:40You may not see, you know, hair and George Washington or
- 49:44something like that. So what you're buying is, is
- 49:48really the the silver content. But again, you know, it's
- 49:51they're, they're not making any more of it.
- 49:54Well, you may not remember this one and I know I was not even
- 49:57born yet, but in 1973 parts of this country had gas lines
- 50:03because of the oil embargo and there was lines, the gas
- 50:07stations just for these gas stations to take a silver
- 50:11coinage only there was special lines.
- 50:15Are we going to see that day again?
- 50:16That really could happen. You know, I'm you know, I would
- 50:20love to see the day we actually trading 90% silver, junk silver,
- 50:24constitution silver, what anybody wants to call it in
- 50:27trade in stores. And it's you know, you made post
- 50:30about it. You've said it this morning,
- 50:32Ron. There's this a deli shop where
- 50:34in California that is going to take silver portray, you know,
- 50:38for for a sandwich. I think that's great.
- 50:40I think more businesses and that's where it's going to start
- 50:43with the small businesses. And when the biggest outlet
- 50:48stores see that, you know they're going to small
- 50:50businesses, these biggest stores might pick up on this.
- 50:53I think that's great, Ron. I think that's great.
- 50:56I mean. You see that on the screen.
- 50:57Bring your, bring your silver Eagles.
- 51:00We now accept one ounce American Silver Eagle coins, $10 over
- 51:05spot price. So I guess the way I would
- 51:08understand this is a deli in California.
- 51:10The story was broke by our friend Pound of Gold YouTube
- 51:13channel. But basically you bring your
- 51:15American Silver Eagle in to that deli and as I would understand
- 51:19it, you're going to get, you can buy basically $40 worth of food
- 51:24with that money, right at his cost on that food might be 10 or
- 51:2715 bucks, whatever that means. It's a good, it's a, it's a,
- 51:30it's a win win situation. I know how.
- 51:33You look, I'm not to interrupt you, but think about $10 over
- 51:37spot not we're not paying $10 over spot for Eagles right now.
- 51:42That is this owner knows probably knows something more
- 51:46than the rest of us maybe. But if he if this if this
- 51:49restaurant owner is willing to pay $10 over spot, that is huge.
- 51:53Yeah, I don't he's not, I don't, I I don't think he he's paying
- 51:57$10 over spot if he if he gets to give you food back, he's not
- 52:01paying 10 bucks. I mean, I don't know.
- 52:02That's still that's still a good value.
- 52:05Yeah. That's really a good value.
- 52:07But he's making a lot of profit on the food, right?
- 52:10I mean, let's be real here. But it's a good sign.
- 52:12I mean, exactly. Yeah, it's a good sign.
- 52:14And then I have to wonder since don't be, let me look at my
- 52:17American Silver Eagles on them say that they're they're worth
- 52:21$1.00, right. So it's one U.S. dollar. $1.00
- 52:24face yes. Yeah, I was wondering, I was
- 52:26like, I wonder if this guy's only reporting a dollar worth of
- 52:29sales each time he takes an American Silver Eagle.
- 52:32But that's none of my business and and I won't go.
- 52:35I mean, but if someone is, if someone is trapped for cash and
- 52:38they need to get something, you know, we all need to eat.
- 52:41I mean, I think that's a great way to, you know, trade.
- 52:44I mean, we need to see more of this.
- 52:46I would love to see more of this.
- 52:48I mean, even if it's just betrayed and not not straight up
- 52:51buying it, Ron, but you know, I would, you know, that is that's
- 52:54awesome to see that you know. Yeah.
- 52:58Yeah, yeah. Do you think do?
- 52:59You think, do you think, Chris, do you, do you think a person
- 53:02can ever have too much 90% silver?
- 53:04Are there, are there some people out there?
- 53:07I mean, you know, I know at night that, you know, sometimes,
- 53:11some nights you throw rose petals onto your bed, but most
- 53:13nights you like to throw a handful of your of your
- 53:16Washington junk over quarters. Is there?
- 53:20Is there get a point where it becomes too much?
- 53:22Where where a guy can have or or gal can have too many 90% coins?
- 53:29Absolutely not because it's it's you know, you can stack them in
- 53:33bags, you can stack them in medicine balls like I showed you
- 53:38earlier on. You know, I can throw your gun.
- 53:40Now the $58 with the Nets medicine ball, it don't take up
- 53:43much room. So the simple answer, no, I
- 53:46don't think this ever, everybody can have too much, you know,
- 53:50it's, you know, I, I'm still stacking it, you know, because
- 53:55I, I think it's going to be drying up and, you know, the
- 53:58more you have, the better. I think you're going to be off.
- 54:00I mean, and that's not trying to be a sales pitch here.
- 54:03And it, you know, don't matter to me where anybody buys it from
- 54:06as long as they get it for a good fair price.
- 54:10That's my message. Let me make this very clear.
- 54:13Coin Shop Chris is not selling you anything, right?
- 54:15You just love 90% silver. I mean, you changed your name.
- 54:19You changed your name to Coin Shop Chris, right?
- 54:23And we take out your middle name.
- 54:24You're just Coin Chris. But I mean, you love this stuff,
- 54:26no doubt about it. I this is my go to.
- 54:31Yes, I have other stuff. You know, I, I have 10 oz bars.
- 54:33I got 5 oz bars. Yes, I have it.
- 54:36You know, I just don't stack a lot of gold.
- 54:38I'm kind of like you, Ron. You know, I, I got some gold
- 54:40mining stocks, but you know, yeah, 90% silver.
- 54:45You know, when I first got one of my hand, I guess it was when
- 54:48I was a little kid, my grandfather gave me one and it
- 54:52just felt different. It sounded different when it
- 54:54bounced on the floor or the counter.
- 54:58And he explained to me it was real money.
- 55:00The stuff we have out there today, the Coors and Dimes we
- 55:03have out there in circulates today, They won't.
- 55:05They're not worth anything. I mean, what, what can you buy
- 55:08for a regular dime here? A silver Dimes built nothing for
- 55:11about 2:28 or so. I mean, that's a silver dime.
- 55:15That's why they took it out of circulation because it cost too
- 55:18much to mint these. I mean, you know, when Nixon
- 55:22took us off the gold standard and you know, you know, some of
- 55:25these times I paid $1.50 for one, some of them I paid 2 bucks
- 55:28for. Some of them I paid $0.95 for.
- 55:31That's why I say it's better the cost average.
- 55:33If we see a dip in silver, this was going to go down a little
- 55:37bit. The premiums might stay up
- 55:39though, you know. But the, the, the, they will
- 55:42come down eventually too. I mean it's, it's just based on
- 55:45the market of what you know, I just don't want to see this
- 55:49stuff get back up to 3537 times space and I think we will get
- 55:53there eventually. It's just a matter of time.
- 55:56It feels like it'll be the first thing to go next time that we
- 56:00get a big spike in demand for silver.
- 56:04I mean, if right now I'm getting reports from you, I'm getting
- 56:07reports from Pembacs that it's AI think very conservatively.
- 56:12We can say it's a challenged market.
- 56:15It's under a lot of stress. It will be the first thing to go
- 56:18right. I think it'll probably be that
- 56:19and then American silver Eagles and and that's what we'll have
- 56:22to to look forward to. What do you think about this
- 56:27idea that being able to buy silver now?
- 56:29Because you're always telling me, Ron, buy more silver.
- 56:31Ron buy and I say, I got plenty of silver.
- 56:33I don't need to buy silver. I'll buy it more if it gets to
- 56:352650, which I missed my last two chances.
- 56:38But nonetheless, this idea that right now with this disconnect
- 56:43that we have between gold prices, it, you know, all time
- 56:46highs doing very well and the silver price, which is far from
- 56:51its all time high. Do you think that like being
- 56:53able to buy silver now for $30.00 an ounce is like the
- 56:57equivalent of being able to buy gold for 1500?
- 57:02Absolutely. I mean, you know what, look,
- 57:05look at the look at the dollar on every time you, the viewers,
- 57:09myself, we go to the grocery store, everything is going up,
- 57:13you know, look what you can buy. You know, ask your mom and dad,
- 57:17they're a little bit older. Of course, you know what they
- 57:20could buy for a dime back in their days.
- 57:22You know, when, when they, when you were a little, you know,
- 57:25babies doing diapers on, you know, really, I mean, ask them
- 57:28what they could buy for a silver dime back then.
- 57:30What, where can you buy for a dime today?
- 57:34Nothing, really nothing. Silver and gold have kept up
- 57:39with inflation. You know, I remember my dad
- 57:42telling me Ron, when he was a kid, he could buy a a can, a
- 57:45candy bar, and they were a lot bigger back then for a nickel.
- 57:50What can you buy for a candy? But what are they out there
- 57:52today? They're over a buck run.
- 57:54You go to the convenience stores, they're almost 2 bucks.
- 57:57Yeah, Yeah, You know, it's easy because it's easy for us to get
- 58:00get caught up in this like day-to-day movement, silver and
- 58:04gold. But the bottom line is silver
- 58:05and gold will keep up with inflation.
- 58:09And they're they're at the end of the day, what inflation is,
- 58:13is a loss in value in the dollar, right.
- 58:16I mean, and we know that, yes, I mean, I remember clear Chris.
- 58:20I remember I was born in 1970. I clearly remember 1971 in my
- 58:26cage that my parents kept me in. Oh yeah.
- 58:31We had ATV, we had ATV. We didn't have running water,
- 58:34but we did have ATV. And I remember clearly when
- 58:37Nixon came on TV and said they were taking the US off the gold
- 58:41standard and I threw an absolute fit, OK.
- 58:45Now it's important to remember that since he did that, the
- 58:48dollars lost like 99% of its value versus gold.
- 58:52I don't know the statistic versus silver, but I hear 9899%.
- 58:56I think especially now in particular, that we've had this
- 58:59rocket ship, you know, cent in gold up to $2500 an ounce.
- 59:04It's so important to remember, right?
- 59:06I mean, that the gold and silver at the end of the day will keep
- 59:10up with inflation. And inflation is nothing more
- 59:13than the devaluation of the US dollar.
- 59:18Absolutely. And we got the rate cuts coming
- 59:20in September, we got the bricks in October.
- 59:24And all I'll say about politics, Ron, we got the election coming
- 59:27up in November. These these, these, all these
- 59:31three things, the rate cuts, the bricks in October and the
- 59:34election November. This is this is going to put a
- 59:37huge uptick on silver and gold. And when it's gone, you know,
- 59:45even one ounce, silver eagles, maples, whatever you want to
- 59:49say, it's going to be gone. And it's going to take a 70,
- 59:52about 72 hours for the inventory.
- 59:54What's out there on these online phone dealers, what's left in
- 59:58the coin shops? And a lot of people will say
- 1:00:02there's plenty out there. Wow.
- 1:00:04If you really think there's plenty out there, when something
- 1:00:07big happens, it's going to be 72 hours and it's going to be wiped
- 1:00:11out. Oh, yeah, Because, you know, I,
- 1:00:16I believe that wholeheartedly, OK, And that's my truth, right?
- 1:00:20But I believe that the next time, right, We have any type of
- 1:00:24crisis in this country and the you, you, you, you know, there's
- 1:00:27a big list. There's a lot of potential
- 1:00:29things and and they do happen. We don't like it.
- 1:00:32I'm not rooting for it anything else.
- 1:00:34But the reality is the silver is gone quick.
- 1:00:37Look what happened during C19. Look what happened during the
- 1:00:39little banking fiasco. It happened so quickly because
- 1:00:43everybody can run out the pin backs and order a bunch of gold
- 1:00:46and silver like in the matter of 15 minutes.
- 1:00:48What used to take in 1980, you know, and back in 1980 when I
- 1:00:54was growing up a little bit since Nixon took us off the gold
- 1:00:56standard. But I, you know, I I remember
- 1:00:58when silver hit $50. Yeah, yeah, sure.
- 1:01:01No, but I hear stories from many people that there were lines out
- 1:01:06the doors at the coin shops, right?
- 1:01:09That you had to get there before the coin shopped open, get in
- 1:01:11line and hope that you were able to get in to get yourself some
- 1:01:16silver at that point that does that's not the case that because
- 1:01:19there was no online now people can in, you know, people can buy
- 1:01:23up all the gold and silver much more quickly, right?
- 1:01:27The matter of hours, days, which used to take maybe two or three
- 1:01:31or four weeks. The information flow and the
- 1:01:33ability to purchase the metals much more quickly will have a
- 1:01:37major impact on what is a very delicate and sensitive.
- 1:01:41You know, Chris, I'm, I've shared with you, I'm a very
- 1:01:43sensitive person, right? That's that's the silver market
- 1:01:47as well. Right.
- 1:01:50And it's going to be, you know, our only at the shopper on I'm
- 1:01:55telling you, he is stocked up right now on everything.
- 1:01:58But really 90% silver right this right now he is ready for
- 1:02:03something to happen. He says I rather have it on hand
- 1:02:07than having to try to find it. And when he's and when he's
- 1:02:12paying people to go out there to pawn shops, to yard sales, to
- 1:02:17wherever in the local area trying to find this stuff, you
- 1:02:20know, the 90% silver up he's doing this out is kind of his
- 1:02:24hot. He's not making a kind of money
- 1:02:26off this. He is making maybe $0.25 off of
- 1:02:31a dollar face, $0.50 on the half dollars.
- 1:02:35And that's the truth. I mean it's we're paying out for
- 1:02:38it right right now is some brought in any type of quarters
- 1:02:43or Dimes. Right now we're paying 22.25
- 1:02:48face and we're selling it for two dollars, $22.50 times face.
- 1:02:52So he's making 1/4 per dollar. I mean that is that's how tight
- 1:02:58the margins are. And when people say coin shops
- 1:03:01make all this money in the Boeing dealers, no, the profit
- 1:03:04margins are so thin. We have to, we have to worry
- 1:03:08about volume. It's not the volume.
- 1:03:11That's what adds up quickly for the shops.
- 1:03:14Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What about this question we get
- 1:03:17all the time, Chris? I get this all the time.
- 1:03:20And now that I got you on here and we're doing the world's
- 1:03:22longest live stream, by the way. But but people ask all the time,
- 1:03:27well, what if the price of silver goes to $65?
- 1:03:31Who's going to buy my silver? Who's going to buy my silver?
- 1:03:34And what I tell them is if the price of silver goes to $65,
- 1:03:39it's only going to go there because people are buying it.
- 1:03:43If people aren't buying it for 65 or 85 or 55, whatever the
- 1:03:48price is that you want to, if you're afraid you won't be able
- 1:03:50to sell your silver at, if people aren't buying it at that
- 1:03:52price, then the price would come down to a price where people
- 1:03:56would buy it. Any thoughts on that coin shop,
- 1:03:58Chris? Well, yeah, look, I mean 2
- 1:04:01thousand 2011, you will probably remember this.
- 1:04:04I know, I remember this. When silver hit $50.00 an ounce,
- 1:04:09our owner said it was coming in. They were selling right back
- 1:04:13out. You know, he was making a dollar
- 1:04:16an ounce. I mean, he, he, he said we back
- 1:04:18in those days, he didn't have all these fancy computers like
- 1:04:21he had now. He was on the old school, you
- 1:04:23know, mom and pop register and don't write.
- 1:04:27He was writing tickets back in the day.
- 1:04:29You know, they, he said we couldn't write the tickets fast
- 1:04:31enough. Look at gold.
- 1:04:33Gold was used to be $300.00 an ounce.
- 1:04:36Wrong, right? People still buying gold today
- 1:04:38at $2500 an ounce. So that's, yeah, right.
- 1:04:43Exactly, Chris. Yes, the to the answer to your
- 1:04:47question is it don't matter what silver gets up to.
- 1:04:50Even if silver gets up to $150.00 an ounce, this, they're
- 1:04:53going to be buyers out there because people are going to say
- 1:04:56I missed the boat and I'm trying to catch the ride up where it's
- 1:04:59going to go to next and remember.
- 1:05:03Go ahead. And remember we talking about
- 1:05:07dollars, I urge, I cannot give financial advice as you know
- 1:05:10Ron, but I urge if you need to sell half a fast way out to
- 1:05:16spend that cash, don't, no, I see a lot of people will say to
- 1:05:21me until we get to $50.00 an ounce, I'm cashed out.
- 1:05:25My question is what are you going to do with the cash?
- 1:05:27You going to go throw it in bank a bank and lose value there?
- 1:05:31Yeah. Yeah, I mean.
- 1:05:33Peter, Peter Grantich thinks it's going to be a while till we
- 1:05:36get the $85. Where is he?
- 1:05:38Silver, right? There's the, the old silver bear
- 1:05:41right above me. But if it if it does get to that
- 1:05:44point, you're right, the dollar will be on it.
- 1:05:47And I and I think it could happen.
- 1:05:48I'm not making, but we could be on an accelerated path of the
- 1:05:53dollar going down in value. So if silver hits 45 or 50 bucks
- 1:05:57an ounce, I agree with you 100%. It's not going to be smart to
- 1:06:00convert that into paper money because if the dollars on that
- 1:06:03path of going down in value quickly, it's likely to
- 1:06:06continue. So those dollars that you, you
- 1:06:10know that you converted your silver from to anyway, when you,
- 1:06:15when you converted your silver into dollars, those dollars
- 1:06:18could likely a month or two or three or a year later be worth
- 1:06:21half as much at that point as to when you converted the silver.
- 1:06:25And the silver would have continued to go up in, in, in
- 1:06:29price as measured in those very same dollars, correct?
- 1:06:35Correct. Well, look, well, look at the
- 1:06:36bond market. Bond bonds are paying what, 55
- 1:06:39percent, 4%, whether they're paying the past year.
- 1:06:43Year was up over 23%. Gold's up over 30% over the past
- 1:06:47year and people are out there and call it, oh, it's a pet
- 1:06:51rock. Really.
- 1:06:53I'm happy with 23% gain. I'm happy with 30% gain in gold.
- 1:06:57That's a very good move in one year.
- 1:07:00Think about how many, if we can maintain that Ron, over the next
- 1:07:04couple years, these gains where the price is going to go.
- 1:07:08Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, just it begs the question,
- 1:07:11right, All right. Gold.
- 1:07:12They asked one of the Fed Reserve guy, I don't know if it
- 1:07:15was, I think it was Bernanke. They said why does the Fed?
- 1:07:17And then why does the Fed, you know, why do we, why do we hold
- 1:07:19gold in the United States? He said it's a tradition.
- 1:07:21It's and I know one of them called it a pet rock.
- 1:07:24It's a tradition. Well, then why is gold at an all
- 1:07:29time high right now, right. Why are the was it being bought
- 1:07:34by every central bank? We get other, we get news now
- 1:07:37the Poland was the biggest buyer of gold during the second
- 1:07:40quarter, the biggest central bank buyer of gold, Poland,
- 1:07:43that's a European country, right?
- 1:07:45And they're right on the border between Western Europe and and
- 1:07:50Russia. Why would Poland be buying so
- 1:07:52much gold, right? And why this is the big one that
- 1:07:55I think a lot of people don't understand, it's critical.
- 1:07:58It was the one of the biggest moves that that that probably
- 1:08:02helped reshape where we are right now with gold.
- 1:08:05And that is why did the bank or International Settlements make
- 1:08:09gold a tier one asset, right? Why would they do that?
- 1:08:13And they did, right? And that means that it's on par
- 1:08:17with cash and it's on par with sovereign government bonds.
- 1:08:21The Bank for International Settlements is the central Bank
- 1:08:24of the central banks. Now I'm going to answer that
- 1:08:28question in a very short way, Ron, all Fiat currency.
- 1:08:32OK, well, here we'll see. There we go, all.
- 1:08:35Fiat currency. I'm going to beat that time of
- 1:08:37two. All Fiat currency dies.
- 1:08:38Look at the deficit the US has. Look at the deficit Japan has.
- 1:08:42Look at the deficits of all these other countries, and they
- 1:08:47don't want the US dollar. You can time me all you want
- 1:08:50wrong because I'm done now. That's all I have to say.
- 1:08:55You know what else that is, Chris?
- 1:08:57You know what else this is? You know what this what we're?
- 1:08:59Looking at right now. You got, you got 10 more minutes
- 1:09:02because we're going to be, we're going to get on a super roll
- 1:09:04now, buddy, you got 10 more minutes.
- 1:09:06I got 10 more minutes. Let's go.
- 1:09:08OK, So what you're looking at right now is not a timer timing
- 1:09:12the coin shop. Chris can indeed answer a
- 1:09:14question in less than two minutes, which he did like I
- 1:09:17have any room to talk with my big mouth.
- 1:09:18But nonetheless, what you're also looking at that yellow part
- 1:09:22at the top that's slowly draining.
- 1:09:24That's the above ground silver surplus in the world right now.
- 1:09:30Because right now in our world with silver, we know there's a
- 1:09:34massive deficit. There's a lot more silver being
- 1:09:36consumed to the tune of hundreds of millions of Oz every year.
- 1:09:41Then it's coming out of the mind, out of the mind.
- 1:09:43So that above ground, you can see it's going down, right?
- 1:09:46That's what's happening right now, right?
- 1:09:48That's what's going on. We got to remember that is
- 1:09:51silver investors see that it's almost gone.
- 1:09:54It's almost gone. I call it the silver slush fund,
- 1:09:57right? The mining sector is only
- 1:09:59putting out about 800, a little over 800 million oz per year,
- 1:10:03right? And then recycling adds another
- 1:10:05150 or whatever, about a billion ounces of year.
- 1:10:08And the world is consuming like what, 1.2?
- 1:10:10And I'm believe I'm being conservative here.
- 1:10:13That's the reality, right? Eventually up.
- 1:10:16It's almost there. It's almost there, right?
- 1:10:19It's all gone, right? It's and it's like TikTok,
- 1:10:23TikTok. Because guess what?
- 1:10:25The mines aren't making any more silver.
- 1:10:27There's no plans to produce more silver at any time in the near
- 1:10:30future. OK, and guess what?
- 1:10:32The demand for silver continues to go through the roof every
- 1:10:38time we turn around everything as I heard, I forget who it is.
- 1:10:40I wish I could credit them. They said everything.
- 1:10:44I want you to react to this statement, Chris.
- 1:10:47Everything that Silver touches, it makes better.
- 1:10:52It does it really, It really does.
- 1:10:55I mean, you know, a lot of people don't realize in your
- 1:10:58electrical panels in your house and I don't advise anybody to do
- 1:11:02with it not being electrician, but is actually a little ring
- 1:11:07behind your circuit Breakers and has a little ring of silver
- 1:11:11behind that. It's not a lot, but that's gone
- 1:11:14for how many years? You look at Samsung, You said
- 1:11:17this on your channel, Ron, but I'm going to repeat it here.
- 1:11:19Samsung's coming out with the new silver battery that that
- 1:11:22still was gone for 20 years. Your solar panel silver is gone
- 1:11:25for 20 plus years. And all our cell phones or
- 1:11:29computers, when we get done with the the electronics, they don't
- 1:11:34really recycle the silver. That little bit of silver is in
- 1:11:37each single phone and this millions and billions of phones
- 1:11:40out there that get thrown in landfills and that still was
- 1:11:43gone forever. Are we going to start mining
- 1:11:46landfills next for this silver that's out there?
- 1:11:51And I mean, that's what's, you know, that's going to get new
- 1:11:53mining out there. Oh yeah, 5050 years from now,
- 1:11:59landfills. We should buy an old landfill
- 1:12:01and just sit on it because 50 years from now they're going to
- 1:12:03be like the gold mines of today, right?
- 1:12:05They'll be digging in there and pulling out all kinds of of
- 1:12:08interesting stuff in history. Years now you'll probably be
- 1:12:11over 100 years old Ron and you'll be seeing in the wheel
- 1:12:15wheels you're still playing with your My Little Pony so.
- 1:12:20Don't open that don't open that can of worms.
- 1:12:22But it really it it it really truly is a TikTok, TikTok
- 1:12:27situation. The above ground silver and,
- 1:12:29and, and I read this recently and I think there's some debate
- 1:12:32on this subject, so don't quote me guys, and you can correct me
- 1:12:35if I'm wrong, but there's less above ground silver, right?
- 1:12:40This stuff, right? You know, there's, there's less
- 1:12:44of this and that silver that you see on Chris's screen.
- 1:12:47There's less of this the silver that our viewer right now has
- 1:12:50that they're looking at. There's less above ground silver
- 1:12:53than there is gold in the world, right?
- 1:12:55Gold gets mined and people joke, say it gets stuck up out of the
- 1:12:59ground and then gets put back in the ground in a vault,
- 1:13:02basically. But you know, with silver being
- 1:13:04consumed like it is, there's less of this above ground than
- 1:13:08there is gold. And, you know, and to further
- 1:13:10exacerbate the situation, the world's biggest silver producer,
- 1:13:15Mexico, is becoming very unfriendly to mining companies,
- 1:13:19which just makes the whole situation that we're in right
- 1:13:22now with the silver supply deficit even more egregious.
- 1:13:29Well, it's it may be good because they know we're so
- 1:13:33supply and they want to hold their own silver.
- 1:13:38That is what's going on. They want it in their own
- 1:13:41country. There's not a lot of Mexican
- 1:13:42libertads that actually make it across the borders.
- 1:13:46They let out very few across the border.
- 1:13:49You know, we have a couple. I mean, those are the other
- 1:13:51things are hard to get the Mexican Libertads and there's
- 1:13:56not a lot of supply out there because they don't want it out
- 1:13:59of their own country and that's the fact.
- 1:14:03I'm glad you brought that up. I've often wondered whenever I
- 1:14:06see the Mexican you, nobody ever talks about the Mexican Libertad
- 1:14:09but you. Just whenever you do see them,
- 1:14:13they're very expensive. Absolutely.
- 1:14:17And that is why, because they're the hottest coin to get your
- 1:14:21hands on. I mean, they're they're the
- 1:14:23hardest ones to get. And you know, I mean, it's you
- 1:14:28don't see them every single day. We don't see them come in every
- 1:14:30single day. We have a couple that come in,
- 1:14:33people sell them and they're gone the next day.
- 1:14:35Ron within the same. Sometimes we can get the process
- 1:14:38through the computer fast enough we can get them out the same
- 1:14:40day. But, you know, they're just, you
- 1:14:44know, just something our bowling dealer does not really get that
- 1:14:48many of it because everybody, not everybody wants them.
- 1:14:52But, you know, there is enough people out there that want them
- 1:14:56and they when we do get them, they're $5060 plus run at times.
- 1:15:01Yeah, Yeah. And there's there's gonna be a.
- 1:15:04Day there there, there. There's gonna be I, I mean, I am
- 1:15:07like, this is my truth. Don't our viewers, we love you.
- 1:15:11Thank you, guys. We're on a very Long live stream
- 1:15:13here. Thank you to everyone who's
- 1:15:14joining us. Right.
- 1:15:16But my truth is that there's going to be a day when when,
- 1:15:19when there will be silver shortages.
- 1:15:21I just believe that when I look at the big picture, when I look
- 1:15:24at what's going on with Mexico, when I look at what's going on
- 1:15:28with India, I mean, Chris, did you hear that Like this year
- 1:15:32alone, this year, 2024, India's on pace to import somewhere
- 1:15:36between 200 million and 250 million ounces of silver.
- 1:15:42That's just India, folks. That's not, that's not counting
- 1:15:46China. What's going on in China.
- 1:15:48I mean, it's unbelievable what's happening out there in these
- 1:15:51markets. Yeah, and it's gonna be, it's at
- 1:15:54some point the Comex and the LBA will be out of business because
- 1:16:00they're going to come to have a day and have a whole, they're
- 1:16:02going to say this like, what the heck just happened?
- 1:16:05We got nothing left. And when that day comes, it's
- 1:16:08going to implode. Ron.
- 1:16:10I mean, you know, they're they want to control the price that,
- 1:16:14you know, I'm going to use Ralphie Thorbus.
- 1:16:17It's the end game. You know, if that's where we're
- 1:16:19at, Ron, it, it's, it's getting so close.
- 1:16:22When the LBMA and the crime acts, I like to call them the
- 1:16:26bunch of clowns that work at both places.
- 1:16:28They're going to have one day they're going to wake up and say
- 1:16:31we don't have enough silver to meet the contracts.
- 1:16:35And guess what? Your contracts will pay or get
- 1:16:37paid in worthless dollars. Good luck then trying to find
- 1:16:42your silver and gold. Good luck.
- 1:16:45Yeah, it's a, it's interesting to think about as we, you know,
- 1:16:48as we kind of move into these next five years and if we get
- 1:16:52the silver price, I think $30 is, is really a big key, right.
- 1:16:57And hopefully, hopefully here in the next two to three to four
- 1:17:00months, we're going to establish a price level above $30.00 that
- 1:17:04we're off to the races. I mean, silver was only above
- 1:17:07$30.00 for a handful of years over the last 50 years of hand.
- 1:17:11I mean it was, it was about 30 for a month or two.
- 1:17:14It felt like in 2000 or 1980 and in 2011 it was maybe one or two
- 1:17:20years going off to the races. But I think what people forget
- 1:17:23to think about as well with that is, is when is when silver
- 1:17:26continues. To me, that's all time high for
- 1:17:29all intents and purposes, all time high territory, But there's
- 1:17:33also this big short position and those shorts are going to need
- 1:17:36to cover their, their, you know, it could be like a snowball when
- 1:17:40we get above 30. And that's why I think the, the,
- 1:17:43the manipulators are trying to keep silver below $30 now
- 1:17:46because they know when it gets above that 303234 range, it'll
- 1:17:51be like a snowball because you'll get more people retail
- 1:17:55people coming into buy silver, which will overwhelm the market,
- 1:17:59right, the physical market. But then to add fuel to that
- 1:18:03fire will also have the shorts who will need to be covering
- 1:18:07right? And and then when they see
- 1:18:08silver hit $34 and then they wake up the next day and Oh my
- 1:18:12gosh, silver's $38. I better cover my short.
- 1:18:15That means they need to buy silver.
- 1:18:17It could be it, it could be, it could be a short squeeze.
- 1:18:20It could good, right? I could be wrong.
- 1:18:23It. Never happened.
- 1:18:25But when you look at the fundamental underlying factors
- 1:18:29that we've already talked about, the supply demand dynamics for
- 1:18:32silver and then you add on top of that the manipulation that's
- 1:18:35gone on in the markets, it's a lethal combination for what
- 1:18:39could be an extraordinary increase in price.
- 1:18:43No doubt in my mind, no doubt in my mind could be wrong, right?
- 1:18:47I'm just silver pumper, right, Chris?
- 1:18:49But that's what. I think I, I, I don't believe
- 1:18:53you're a silver pumper on. I think you're telling the
- 1:18:56facts. You know what my price target
- 1:18:58is. You know, we need to get back to
- 1:19:003250 where we were this year. I believe once it gets to 36,
- 1:19:05it's going to be all over the news.
- 1:19:08And at that point, we could see some crazy price action.
- 1:19:13Yeah, I mean. And the and the and you know
- 1:19:16what, Chris? What nobody wants to talk about.
- 1:19:19I'll show you the big problem. OK, Go ahead.
- 1:19:21Keep talking. Will you sing a song or
- 1:19:23something while I do something in background?
- 1:19:24Cross Jingle Bells. I won't, I won't.
- 1:19:27I won't Jingle. Bells Jingle.
- 1:19:29Bells Jingle. OK, we're almost there all the
- 1:19:32way. Do you know we're not even in
- 1:19:34September yet and you're singing Christmas songs?
- 1:19:36Oh, what fun it is to ride in coin shop Chris's silver sleigh.
- 1:19:41OK, can you see that? Did I pull pull up the US debt
- 1:19:44clock onto the screen? Yes, I see it, Yeah.
- 1:19:46OK, that's the problem, baby. That's the problem right there.
- 1:19:51That that's the problem. And then if you go down a little
- 1:19:53bit, follow my yellow, if you can see my yellow cursor, OK,
- 1:19:58this is another massive problem that's just starting to get some
- 1:20:01attention, right, that we are now spending more on interest on
- 1:20:05our debt than we are on National Defense.
- 1:20:08OK, think about that. That's a big.
- 1:20:12Go ahead. We start to interrupt you, Ron.
- 1:20:13We spent $1 billion worth of B in July in interest payments
- 1:20:19that got added on to the national debt.
- 1:20:21Well, I think it's more than that Chris cuz it right now here
- 1:20:24interest on debt. Let's see what it says if you.
- 1:20:26Go yes in July. Middle top, the interest on the
- 1:20:29debt includes U.S. Treasury bonds, government and
- 1:20:31others. Doesn't say if that's an annual.
- 1:20:34I think no, this is an annual basis.
- 1:20:35We're spending almost a trillion a year, Chris, on debt, on
- 1:20:39interest on the debt. But you bring up a group which
- 1:20:42is probably about 80 billion a month, but you bring up a great
- 1:20:45point. And that is all that interest
- 1:20:47payment that that goes directly into the debt, right, makes the
- 1:20:52debt bigger, OK. And because interest rates are
- 1:20:55going higher, that interest expense continues to grow.
- 1:20:58Oh, but wait, there's more basement dwellers and that would
- 1:21:01be that. Also because we run a massive
- 1:21:04deficit, our governments just spends more than they bring in.
- 1:21:08That also obviously adds to the national debt, which makes
- 1:21:11people be less interested in owning the national debt, which
- 1:21:14makes the interest rates go higher, which makes the interest
- 1:21:17expense continue to go higher. It's what we like to call a debt
- 1:21:21spiral. But let's shift gears here.
- 1:21:23Coin shop, Chris. Oh, look here, the dollar to
- 1:21:26silver ratio, this continues to go up.
- 1:21:29Remember, Chris, not too long ago, that was at 0 when the M2
- 1:21:33money supply was decreasing. Now for every ounce of silver
- 1:21:38that's being produced this year being mined, there's 462 U.S.
- 1:21:43dollars being added to the M2 money supply.
- 1:21:47What does that tell us? Tells me that we better get more
- 1:21:52silver. That's what it tells me.
- 1:21:54I mean, you know, you always make great points wrong.
- 1:21:57I mean, you know, it just takes, you know, I just don't want
- 1:22:00anybody to get discouraged out there by looking at the pile I
- 1:22:03got in front of you all do this today because I'm not trying to
- 1:22:08say, oh, look what I got now this, this, I got to repeat this
- 1:22:11wrong. This takes time to stack.
- 1:22:14This is not overnight. This does not It takes so much
- 1:22:19time. You know, it's called
- 1:22:21sacrifices. Not going out with friends every
- 1:22:23Friday night, not going to Starbucks.
- 1:22:25You know, I don't like Starbucks anyways.
- 1:22:27But you know, not going to casinos, not going here, not
- 1:22:30going there. We have to try to make.
- 1:22:33That not, not not buying that new Barbie doll that comes out.
- 1:22:36That's what each one of those quarters of silver Quarters
- 1:22:39represents, skipping out on, you know, on a Barbie or, or, or
- 1:22:44Starbucks or something else. You know, and not buying the
- 1:22:47newest, latest cell phone that comes out every single year or
- 1:22:51an Apple Watch that comes out every single year.
- 1:22:54I mean, you know, these things last a while And, you know, you
- 1:22:58don't have to keep up with your friends, your neighbors across
- 1:23:00the street. They buy a new car every single
- 1:23:02year. And you know, we have to make
- 1:23:05the sacrifices. And that is how I've done it,
- 1:23:08Ron. And again, not financial advice,
- 1:23:11but you know it. You know I got people come in
- 1:23:14Ron and and get 3 or 4 server Dimes every single paycheck.
- 1:23:22And you know, you know what? Chris.
- 1:23:23You know what, Chris? I got to interrupt you because
- 1:23:26what you're, what you're talking about is so critical.
- 1:23:29People ask me, how do you get rich?
- 1:23:30It's easy to get rich, OK? It's what coin shop Chris just
- 1:23:34talked about. You, you got to start with
- 1:23:37number one, you got to, you got to, well, number one is get
- 1:23:40yourself out of debt, OK? You got to start with number
- 1:23:43one, consumer debt. You know, if you have a mortgage
- 1:23:45and a low interest rate, whatever you got to get out of
- 1:23:47debt #2 is you got to spend less than you make, OK?
- 1:23:51And a lot of people have a hard time with that.
- 1:23:53But if you're out of debt and you're spending less money than
- 1:23:57you make, you're automatically rich, right?
- 1:24:00Because you're accumulating wealth everyday.
- 1:24:02And it's and it's and it's, I think it's, I think a lot of
- 1:24:05people don't realize, and I've done this pretty much my whole
- 1:24:08life because I've always been very frugal.
- 1:24:10Or a tight wad or another assortment of names that yeah,
- 1:24:15there's a whole range of names. Whatever.
- 1:24:18No, I'm value oriented, right? My, my kids have, you know, my
- 1:24:22kids have the latest and greatest Xbox.
- 1:24:24They've got eBay. I mean, you know, I'll spend
- 1:24:25money, but I'm value oriented. And then when it comes to
- 1:24:29myself, what I've learned is like I, like you said, right,
- 1:24:33it's OK to have a cell phone that was new two years ago
- 1:24:38because guess what? You can buy it for like 30% of
- 1:24:41the price that they sold it for two years ago.
- 1:24:45And it's just as good as any other cell phone out there.
- 1:24:47I think what, what people don't realize is that if you do make
- 1:24:50these little, what you think are sacrifices, you wake up and
- 1:24:53realize that, hey, you know what, I can live a notch down
- 1:24:58what I thought was a notch down. And it's actually much nicer
- 1:25:00because I'm not under in all this financial pressure.
- 1:25:03And really, if I'm smart about it, if I use coupons, if I look
- 1:25:08for good values, whatever, you know, life's actually much nicer
- 1:25:11down here. And and then the third thing you
- 1:25:16can do is once you are spending less than you make and you don't
- 1:25:19have any debt, you can buy the timeless store of value silver
- 1:25:22and gold. Did I lose you?
- 1:25:27I got you back. You're absolutely.
- 1:25:29You're absolutely right, Ron. You know, and that's how I've
- 1:25:33done it wrong. And, you know, and people,
- 1:25:36people ask me, well, how how do you have so much?
- 1:25:38You know, how, how does the own have so much in inventory?
- 1:25:42He made sacrifices, too, to build up his inventory of silver
- 1:25:46that we have. I mean, you know, I mean, I got
- 1:25:49people. Yeah, I got people that come in
- 1:25:51Ron to buy 3-4, like I said, 3-4 Dimes or three, four quarters a
- 1:25:56week if we had them in stock. They have house payments.
- 1:25:59That's what they can afford. You know, I, I tell people on my
- 1:26:03channel line, don't be ashamed to walk into any coin shop if
- 1:26:06that's what you can afford to do.
- 1:26:08And just get yourself a few times, a few silver cords.
- 1:26:12Because you know what, I've thrown that bottle to you all
- 1:26:15already that like I said, that took me about a year and a half,
- 1:26:18almost maybe a year and three cords to fill that.
- 1:26:21And that's $58 face value, a quarters to stack.
- 1:26:27Right, right. So right, right.
- 1:26:30Coin trap, Chris, everyone, hopefully you can see it on your
- 1:26:34screen. This is your YouTube channel,
- 1:26:37Coin Shop Chris. I'll encourage everyone to go
- 1:26:41subscribe. Chris is probably the fastest
- 1:26:43growing YouTube channel right now in the gold and silver
- 1:26:47sector. Unbelievable accomplishment over
- 1:26:502000 Subs and getting a lot of views, but not some good quality
- 1:26:54content. So guys, go out and and if you
- 1:26:57haven't already, please subscribe to Coin Shop Chris.

- 1:27:15above 2500 in gold, silver $0.54.
- 1:27:19Please support channel sponsor Pendeks.
- 1:27:21I think you'll find what I find. They check all the boxes and I

- 1:28:46guess. I guess I'm overwhelmed, I
- 1:28:48should say. How fast my channel has growing
- 1:28:51and just the support of all the viewers out there.
- 1:28:53It's just been amazing. And I'm going to say it one last
- 1:28:56time, Ron, my my departing words for the day is stack what you
- 1:29:01can afford. Don't compare your stack with
- 1:29:03anybody else's. If anybody has any questions for

- 1:29:15Ron, you have helped out dozens of people.
- 1:29:18Let's keep it going. Thank you, Ron for having me.
- 1:29:21I really appreciate it. Well, I think I think that all
- 1:29:24the basement dwellers that are with us today, right, and the
- 1:29:28ones who have who have endured this world record length live
- 1:29:31stream that we're doing right now.
- 1:29:32I think this is the longest one ever.
- 1:29:34But we all share a passion for the precious metals, very nice
- 1:29:38people as well, right? That's, I mean, so many
- 1:29:40friendships have been, there's so many nice, good people in the
- 1:29:43silver and gold community. And you know, when I look at
- 1:29:46you, Chris, and what you're doing, you're doing well because
- 1:29:49you're doing something that you believe in and that you're
- 1:29:52passionate about. And then the lack of a better
- 1:29:55word, but you're genuine, right? I mean, yeah, I've known you for
- 1:29:59what, almost two years now. You're one of the most genuine
- 1:30:02loving. When I call you the king of junk
- 1:30:04silver, I mean that it's a big compliment.
