California Deli Exchanges SILVER for FOOD 🥪 -You Know What This Means! · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

• 0:01
A California deli exchanging food for American silver Eagles.
• 0:07
We know there's also a challenge in the supply side in 90% silver
• 0:11
right now. What is this telling us about
• 0:14
  the precious metals markets? Today?
• 0:16
We're joined by Daniel Diaz from Citizens for Sound Money.
• 0:19
We're going to cover that and a lot more.
• 0:21
Hey, Daniel, thanks for joining us today on the live stream.
• 0:25
  Absolutely. Great.
• 0:26
Great to see you. So what do you think about this?
• 0:28
Let's dive right in to a California deli.
• 0:32
Here's a a sign. Excuse me, on their window.
• 0:36
Bring your Silver Eagles. We now accept one ounce American
• 0:40
Silver Eagle coins, $10 over spot price.
• 0:44
What do you what do you make of this?
• 0:46
I think it's genius. I mean, he's exchanging food for
• 0:51
silver and he's already making a profit on the food and then he's
• 0:54
giving you $10 over spot, which is right now $39.00 or $40.00.
• 1:03
So yeah, basically you're getting 2 sandwiches or maybe a
• 1:05
sandwich and 1/2 for, for a Silver Eagle.
• 1:08
  I think it's, it's awesome. I think it's smart.
• 1:11
I think this is the way the entire country and world is
• 1:13
heading, getting back to sound money because, well, the dollar,
• 1:18
why don't I use the quote from that song Richmond North of
• 1:22
Richmond. But you know what I'm going to
• 1:23
say the dollar is, is Monopoly money.
• 1:26
And you know, it's, it's time that we get back to sound money
• 1:30
  because sound markets require it.
• 1:32
A, a sound, a sound economy requires sound money.
• 1:35
And right now, it's anything but sound.
• 1:38
  Yeah, it's an interesting prospect.
• 1:40
It's actually also coincidentally just down the
• 1:44
street from a coin shop. Now, this story was broke by a
• 1:49
friend of my channel, A Pound of Gold YouTube channel.
• 1:52
So I want to give him credit on that.
• 1:55
And he actually took these pictures.
• 1:56
I'm going to run out real quickly and show people where
• 2:00
they can check out the story. This is the Pound of Gold
• 2:04
YouTube channel and don't go now, but later on here's here's
• 2:09
where he broke the story. A store swapping food for
• 2:11
silver. And, you know, to me, it's, it's
• 2:15
pretty fascinating what's going on out there these days that we
• 2:18
have, you know, actual people, willing businesses, willing, you
• 2:23
  know, and that's to me, that's the, I, I know that there's,
• 2:27
there's, there's a lot of businesses around the country
• 2:29
that are starting to take. But that's the first time that
• 2:32
I've seen somebody like kind of randomly run into it.
• 2:34
And, you know, I tried like a year ago, I made a video where I
• 2:38
called a bunch of Chinese restaurants in Saint Louis
• 2:41
because I figured I knew Chinese people love precious metals.
• 2:44
And I kept asking, you know, could I, could I pay with, with
• 2:48
the American Silver Eagle? And even then they were saying
• 2:51
no. So I think the shows that we're
• 2:53
starting to get some, some percolation and it is
• 2:56
interesting that it's right down the, you know, right down the
• 2:58
Pike from a, from a, from a, from a coin store.
• 3:02
You know, another one of my viewers, big Tim Silvershire, he
• 3:06
brought up the point. Could we be trading grains of
• 3:09
gold? He had a he had a trivia
• 3:11
question for the audience. Wrong one.
• 3:16
Hold on here, let me go back. OK.
• 3:20
Well, of course, I screwed this one up.
• 3:24
Well, big Tim Silvershire somewhere here I put out the
• 3:28
question. I think there's 480 grains in an
• 3:32
ounce. Does that make sense to you,
• 3:34
  Daniel? That.
• 3:35
  Sounds about right. Yeah, yeah.
• 3:37
And I, I have here a, this is 1/4 grain of gold.
• 3:43
You put that up there for people to see this can't that's a tiny
• 3:47
tiny. That's how small and that came
• 3:50
  from a benchmark strategic metals.
• 3:52
They make these little cards with different size, like, you
• 3:56
know, very, very small fractional amounts of gold and
• 3:59
and silver. So it's interesting, you know,
• 4:01
you think about Daniel, what's going on in the economy, right?
• 4:06
And are we moving toward the situation where things could get
• 4:10
really hairy and people would need to use silver and gold just
• 4:14
  to conduct their everyday transactions?
• 4:17
Yeah. You know, I, I think that
• 4:20
fractional metal, fractional gold and silver will be
• 4:24
something that we'll use again. Grains though, I mean it's
• 4:29
tough. Plus grains have a very high
• 4:32
premium and they don't necessarily you can't really
• 4:34
sell them back with the exact same premium that you, you
• 4:37
purchased. I'm more when it comes to
• 4:40
physical gold and silver. I'm more inclined to purchase
• 4:45
metal near spot or metals that maintain their premium.
• 4:50
The most fractionally reserved premium is fractional.
• 4:55
Reserve gold is a gold back and it actually maintains its
• 4:58
premium. And then I would say like my
• 5:00
favorites. I just wrote an article about
• 5:03
like the top five coins, new stackers and gold should
• 5:07
purchase number one's the Krugerrand because you can get
• 5:10
them for very little over over spot.
• 5:14
Sometimes you can get them as little as 10 to $15 over spot.
• 5:18
Then I would say fractional, the British Sovereigns, which is
• 5:24
probably the most recognizable fractional coin out there, that
• 5:27
they have a pretty decent premium for how small they are.
• 5:30
And then I would say the best fractional coin or francs, the
• 5:33
20 francs, I mean you can get them for as little as, you know,
• 5:37
5 to $10 over spot. And when it comes to gold, yeah,
• 5:40
when it comes to silver, I mean, you got the 110 oz rounds out
• 5:44
there, the the Buffaloes, you have one in 10 oz rounds.
• 5:49
The the silver guy in New Hampshire silver Dave, you know,
• 5:52
so I definitely think you. Can you can also get 110th oz
• 5:56
silver British Britannias and I know I bought some from my
• 6:01
channel sponsor Pembex and there's a premium on those, a
• 6:04
higher premium, the 110th oz coins, but they come in a little
• 6:08
a little container, a little tube and people call them
• 6:11
lipstick like a lipstick container, so.
• 6:14
Yeah, where's my I'm looking for my tube.
• 6:17
I I have a stack of one town rounds also but.
• 6:21
  Yeah, they're not, they're not a they're not a good idea if
• 6:23
you're like seriously trying to build ounces of silver.
• 6:26
But if you want something potentially you could use for
• 6:29
barter at some point, or to me, honestly, it was more, I just
• 6:33
like really small things. It was more of a novelty type
• 6:36
  thing. And they're really cool.
• 6:37
And it's neat to have this little tube.
• 6:38
So it's a it's an interesting. I mean, I mean, we look at the
• 6:42
economy. I know recently we've heard Big
• 6:44
Lots, the company Big Lots might be claiming bankruptcy.
• 6:49
We heard, Yeah, yeah, Big Lots might be claiming on top of that
• 6:54
yesterday, Dollar General, right, their stock tanked.
• 6:57
At one point it was down 25% because their sales are
• 7:01
crashing. It feels like like the economy,
• 7:04
especially for the everyday person, is becoming more and
• 7:07
more challenging everyday. 100% I mean we're it it.
• 7:12
It's all stems to inflation and irresponsible deficit spending
• 7:18
and printing more currency, and it's reverberating throughout
• 7:21
the entire economy. They are doing their best to
• 7:23
hide the real numbers. They're doing their best to hide
• 7:26
the statistics that we are really in a recession and people
• 7:30
are hurting. I mean, I use this statistic all
• 7:32
the time. 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
• 7:36
I mean, and very few have, you know, $1000 to their name that
• 7:41
it's a sad state of affairs. And historically when you look
• 7:45
when they at what, what are the metrics for upheaval and
• 7:50
revolution? Typically it's when 40% of the
• 7:53
persons monthly income is used, 40% or more is used for food.
• 7:57
When when that threshold is hit, we start seeing unrest, we start
• 8:02
seeing revolution. That's what happened during the
• 8:04
Arab Spring. It was a 40% through all
• 8:08
throughout the Arab world. It was 40% of food inflation.
• 8:13
I mean, during the French Revolution, same thing Bolshevik
• 8:16
revolution, every single time that there is an inflation of
• 8:20
40% or higher when it comes to median income and, and, and the
• 8:26
food that you purchase. I mean, it's, it speaks to the
• 8:31
problem with the country and and the the, the the instability.
• 8:36
Yeah, yeah, here. Here's an article. 2/3 of
• 8:38
Americans now believe that the American Dream is unattainable.
• 8:42
I saw another. I don't know if this refers to
• 8:43
the same data set, but it was a Wall Street Journal.
• 8:48
Yeah, here it is, right Today, 2/3 of us believe that American,
• 8:52
  the American dream is unattainable.
• 8:54
That is, that is a searing indictment of a system that is
• 8:57
coming apart at the seams right in front of our eyes.
• 9:00
Now, that's a kind of a dramatic statement, but, you know, if the
• 9:04
system is indeed, you know, coming apart right before our
• 9:08
eyes, maybe we'll be wise to have some silver and gold stored
• 9:13
up for, for, for purposes of, of, of, you know, conducting our
• 9:17
day-to-day, everyday lives. Oh yeah, 100%.
• 9:21
I mean, I think that you should look ideally, you know, the the
• 9:24
best, the best bang for your buck when it comes to stacking
• 9:28
metals. Like I see an ounce as the
• 9:31
median. Anything over an ounce should be
• 9:33
lower premiums. Anything under an ounce is
• 9:35
higher premiums. So use that one ounce coin as as
• 9:39
your standard and then know that once you go below or above, you
• 9:42
know the premiums are going to change.
• 9:45
But definitely when it comes to day-to-day spending, you can't.
• 9:48
I mean, unless you're trying to buy a a very expensive TV or
• 9:52
something, use a gold coin oz to to pay for it.
• 9:56
But fractionally you can, you know, you can use 110 oz rounds
• 10:01
with the premium if if they take of a premium, you can take use
• 10:04
gold backs. You can use 1/5 ounce rounds
• 10:08
like City Sound Money. We have our own own 1/5 ounce
• 10:10
  rounds. We're currently out.
• 10:12
But you can still find them out that there's some dealers and
• 10:16
and so forth to have them. But yeah, I mean, definitely
• 10:19
we're getting to a point where I'm getting calls regularly,
• 10:24
people asking me, you know, for advice on, on what they should
• 10:28
put their, their currency into their, their economic energy.
• 10:31
And I'm like gold and silver, you know, I always tell people,
• 10:35
if you're going to stack and you know, you're going to preserve
• 10:37
  your wealth, I, I recommend that 808020 split 80% gold, 20%
• 10:42
silver, just because gold has beaten inflation time and time
• 10:46
over the last since 1999 when the, the gold was around $250 an
• 10:53
  ounce, we've had 850% increase, almost a really almost 1010 X
• 11:00
increase in the price of gold. You know, it's beaten the S&P
• 11:03
500, it's beaten the Dow Jones stock market.
• 11:07
I mean, it's, it's definitely. It beat it beat the biggest
• 11:10
market in the world, which is the bond market.
• 11:12
Yeah, the bond market, you know. It's tanking right now.
• 11:15
The bond market, you know, and our economy is, is in a, a
• 11:20
triple bubble. The the American economy is, has
• 11:23
three legs. It's the stock market, the real
• 11:26
estate market and the bond market.
• 11:28
And we have a bubble in the stock market, which we've always
• 11:31
had since 1913 when the Federal Reserve started printing
• 11:34
currency and pumping into the stock market.
• 11:35
That was always a concern for, for those who are against the
• 11:38
Federal Reserve. The stock market went another
• 11:40
bubble, which is normal. Now we're in a real estate
• 11:43
bubble because in 2008 they nationalized Fannie Mae and
• 11:47
Freddie Mac and it added an item to the menu of the Federal
• 11:50
Reserve to pump new currency into.
• 11:52
So they're pumping new currency into mortgage-backed securities.
• 11:54
And now we're in a bubble with the, the, with our debt
• 11:58
instruments, our, the, the bond market because nobody wants to
• 12:02
buy our bonds. They're getting rid of the
• 12:04
dollar, you know, so the Federal Reserve as a lender last resort
• 12:07
is pumping and buying all these, these bonds and Treasury notes
• 12:12
with brand new currency. So it's it's we're in some
• 12:17
where's the major financial issues and.
• 12:20
And think and think about this, Daniel, as you talked about the,
• 12:23
the situation with the bond market when nobody wants our
• 12:25
bonds, OK, Nobody wants to buy our bonds.
• 12:28
That means that the price of the bonds goes down and there's an
• 12:32
inverse relationship that they, you know, fancy accounting speak
• 12:35
between bond prices and interest rates.
• 12:38
That means the interest rate, basically, if, if the US
• 12:42
government is going to want to sell bonds, they're going to
• 12:44
have to pay a higher interest rate, right?
• 12:46
And then that higher interest rate makes a bigger interest
• 12:49
expense, which adds more to the federal debt.
• 12:54
  And it's, it's a spiral. I mean, I don't want to be
• 12:56
negative, but it's a spiral. It's not a good thing.
• 12:58
It's not a pretty picture. You know, yeah, we're, we're
• 13:01
borrowing money to pay interest on, on currency that we
• 13:05
borrowed, right. And then we're borrowing more
• 13:09
currency to pay the interest from that currency and then
• 13:11
repeat, rinse, repeat. And it's a endless cycle.
• 13:14
We don't bring in enough of revenue through taxation to
• 13:17
cover our spending. And if we don't cut spending
• 13:20
drastically by 40%, forty, 50%, we're never going to be able to
• 13:26
pay down the debt. And I don't think we are ever
• 13:29
going to pay down. I think we're going to have a
• 13:30
hyperinflationary event, I think in October when bricks meets and
• 13:35
they start discussing the, the currency that they're all going
• 13:38
to start using for swaps amongst their central banks.
• 13:41
I think gold might be a part of that portfolio along with all
• 13:45
the local currencies. And they're going to get rid of
• 13:47
the dollar and it's going to be where's that, where are the
• 13:50
dollar going to go once they start getting rid of our debts,
• 13:53
debt notes? Yeah, coming back to the United
• 13:55
States and the to, to what does the, how's the saying go?
• 13:59
The Turkey comes home to. Roost.
• 14:00
The hens come home to roost. Come home to roost.
• 14:04
There you go so well and at the end of the day, isn't the only
• 14:07
option really that the Fed will be will have and their disposal
• 14:12
would be to print more money. It's like Japan did right?
• 14:15
You just print money to buy your own debt to and and it just
• 14:19
become but what? But the the net end result of
• 14:22
all that is devaluation, dilution of the currency.
• 14:27
There's no other way. There's no other way for it for
• 14:31
it to work out. I think we may have another
• 14:33
guest here. Let me see if we can pull Hello
• 14:36
Coin shop. Chris, can you hear us?
• 14:38
How you doing guys? We're doing.
• 14:41
Good I'm having I'm having issues this morning.
• 14:45
  No worries. Good to see.
• 14:48
You. It's good to see you, buddy.
• 14:49
Yeah, we're here. We're here with Daniel Diaz.
• 14:51
This is the one and only. You know, Daniel and I were
• 14:54
talking about just kind of what's going on out there, the,
• 14:57
the, the potential for what could happen in the system.
• 14:59
Daniel's got a few more minutes to stay here with us, but we're
• 15:03
going to kind of pivot our conversation to talk about is,
• 15:06
is we're talking about silver and gold and, and, and, and
• 15:08
using it every day to this idea that we're seeing massive demand
• 15:14
and challenge in the market for 90% silver.
• 15:18
And I think that is a harbinger, a signpost of what's to come.
• 15:24
I mean, because I was, I've got a page of notes.
• 15:27
I just was talking with M1 of the owners at PMBEX about his
• 15:31
input and what he sees going on in the 90% market.
• 15:34
And, and, and, and he brought up a great point.
• 15:36
Like there's only so much 90% silver out there right now.
• 15:41
And, and, and when we look back to what happened during the
• 15:44
little banking crisis a year and a half ago when we saw premium
• 15:47
skyrocket on 90%, you know that if there's any part of the
• 15:51
market, and this is more me saying this, that I think could
• 15:53
act as a signpost of what we could see in the future for the
• 15:57
silver and the gold market, It would be the 90% market.
• 16:02
Because right now what we're seeing is high stress in that
• 16:06
market and also challenges for coin dealers to get to get
• 16:11
inventory. And Chris Coin Shop Chris is a
• 16:14
lover of 90% silver. I am, you can see that.
• 16:18
Yeah. Chris, what are you seeing out
• 16:20
there in the 90% market right now?
• 16:23
Well, it depends where. I guess it really depends where
• 16:25
you're in the country. I mean, you know, where I'm at,
• 16:30
you know, we're having a very hard time sourcing this stuff
• 16:32
right now. The owner of the shop has gone
• 16:35
to pawn shops to get it. We have called other coin shops
• 16:39
to get this stuff. And depending what coin shops
• 16:42
you're looking at, it's getting dicey out there with some and
• 16:47
some are very plentiful at this time.
• 16:51
It's getting, you know, from us at the shop.
• 16:53
You know, it's, it's, it's really a dire situation because
• 16:56
it seems like everybody wants it right now.
• 16:58
You know, 10 years ago that wasn't the case, guys.
• 17:01
That was not the case 10 years ago.
• 17:03
I mean, nobody wanted people thumb their nose at it.
• 17:06
They call it, you know, they basically just didn't want it,
• 17:08
you know, but now, you know, for bodyboat situations that we may
• 17:13
be getting into, I think it's a big plus to have as much as you
• 17:17
can afford to get. Yeah, Yeah.
• 17:20
The when I was talking with Mike this morning, he kind of brought
• 17:23
up this idea that it kind of, it feels like a lot of the coin
• 17:27
shops out there are buying it, but they're keeping it for
• 17:31
themselves because they know that they can sell it.
• 17:33
And that sounds like what you're, you're saying as well,
• 17:36
Chris, Like it's not going up to the, and I'm not super well
• 17:39
versed in the intricacies of the, of the silver and gold
• 17:42
bullion markets, but it's not going up to the wholesale level.
• 17:45
It's bit more being kind of eaten up all at the at the local
• 17:50
coin shop level. Does that does that make sense?
• 17:52
That makes that makes sense. And you know what?
• 17:55
Another point I want to make on is, you know, you see a pile
• 17:58
right in front of me. This didn't take one day to
• 18:00
  stack. OK.
• 18:02
This took many, many years for me to stack this you know a few
• 18:06
here, a few there. I mean it it don't you know,
• 18:09
just don't judge anybody else's stack.
• 18:11
It takes time to stack this stuff because now you know a
• 18:14
silver dime. I don't know if you got the link
• 18:17
I sent you this morning Ron, but the silver dime is roughly going
• 18:19
over about 223. A silver core is melting for 539
• 18:24
1/2 dollars over 101058 or so. I mean so I mean that's at melt
• 18:29
value. I mean, so I mean, this is
• 18:32
getting very difficult to, you know, stack at some of these
• 18:36
prices because a lot of this stuff I got cheaper than the
• 18:38
current melt value. That's why I always say cost
• 18:42
averages key just if you can just click on the silver
• 18:46
  quarters, Ron. The silver quarters.
• 18:49
  Washington Silver. Quarters.
• 18:51
No, towards the top, right underneath the Go, go back, go
• 18:55
  back to the top. I'm.
• 18:57
Back at the top, do you? See Dimes.
• 18:59
Do you see Washington silver quarters?
• 19:00
  Barber Quarter. No, it's Washington.
• 19:04
Washington Quarter. 19 It really don't matter.
• 19:06
It really don't matter in the. What line down is it?
• 19:09
I don't see Washington quarter. It's $5.32 if you scroll up.
• 19:13
  Right there. OK.
• 19:14
Washington quarter right in front of my face.
• 19:16
  Just click. Click on that.
• 19:18
Now Scroll down a little bit. Scroll down a little bit.
• 19:21
Yeah. You see where it says calculator
• 19:23
  there? Yes.
• 19:25
Here the $58 are the silver quarters in this jug, here in
• 19:30
this pill, in this pill. Sorry, that's 116.
• 19:34
  That's 232. My Math 232.
• 19:37
Thank you, Coin Shop. And just go ahead and calculate
• 19:40
  that. That's $1200.
• 19:43
Yeah, and that one little medicine or vitamins, really.
• 19:46
A vitamin bottle. Yes, that's how I stack them.
• 19:50
I I don't buy the tubes, the plastic tubes, you know, I use
• 19:54
that savings to buy more metals. That's how I stack.
• 19:58
Them, just so our viewers know, that's the NGC coin.
• 20:03
Website, NGC coin website, very interesting, very interesting,
• 20:08
Chris. We're going to talk more about
• 20:11
about the 90% market because if there's one guy who is the
• 20:15
absolute king of junk silver, 90% silver, it's coin shop
• 20:19
Chris, he talks about it on his channel.
• 20:21
He knows more about it than anyone.
• 20:23
He is the he's the king. He's like the Fred Sanford of
• 20:26
junk silver. So we're going to talk more
• 20:28
about that. But Daniel's only got a few more
• 20:30
minutes to be here with us. I wanted to touch on the the
• 20:34
kind of zoom out further to this idea of digitization of gold and
• 20:38
silver. Daniel, are you, are you seeing
• 20:41
any interesting developments in that arena or any general
• 20:44
thoughts on this idea of digitization of silver and gold?
• 20:47
Absolutely. You know, I, I get calls
• 20:51
frequently, especially of as of the last few months of people
• 20:55
asking for advice, as I mentioned earlier.
• 20:58
And when it, when it comes to accessibility to their money,
• 21:04
you know, they don't necessarily want to put it in gold and
• 21:06
silver coins. They don't want to buy, you
• 21:08
know, a bunch of silver oz. So they, they ask if there's any
• 21:14
digital solutions and there are, there are quite a, there,
• 21:17
there's actually quite a few digital solutions.
• 21:19
You have companies like Kinesis, you have companies like Glint
• 21:23
Load, Oris. These are all asset backed
• 21:27
digital currency companies or companies that are use a
• 21:31
database, keep track of the fractional amount of gold.
• 21:34
And, and companies like Glint right now have a debit card in
• 21:38
the US where you can ACH or use your debit card to buy gold.
• 21:43
And then you can preserve your purchasing power or preserve
• 21:46
your economic energy by converting your currency to
• 21:49
money. And then you spend it like a
• 21:51
daily with debit card. You know, and I, I, the people
• 21:56
are moving people who have large amounts of money who are afraid
• 22:01
of what's gonna happen with the stock market.
• 22:03
Cause historically, if you look at the 100 and 21140 year chart
• 22:08
of, of the, the Federal Reserve and when, when they lower
• 22:12
  interest rates, there is typically a, a, a, a, a not a
• 22:15
collapse, but a, a fall in the stock market.
• 22:20
But typically it lasts, you know, three months in the short
• 22:23
end to several years. And every single time.
• 22:26
And they're planning on doing 2 rate cuts, 75 basis points on
• 22:29
September and October. So people are wanting to know
• 22:32
where can they put their money? And you and you can put them in
• 22:36
companies like Kinesis or if you're in the stock market, you
• 22:39
can buy stocks like the Sprott, Sprott S Is it?
• 22:45
The PSLV. PSLV and their gold pH.
• 22:50
Yeah, I'm not sure of the gold one, but I know the physical
• 22:52
silver sprout. Physical silver is PSLV.
• 22:55
Right. So if you don't wanna get out,
• 22:57
if you have your money in IRA, then if you wanna protect it,
• 23:00
you can put it in those two stocks.
• 23:02
They're backed 1 to one with Canadian 400 oz bars for gold
• 23:08
and I think kilo bars for silver.
• 23:10
So they'll allocate a percentage of that and they take small
• 23:13
management fee. But that mean people are
• 23:15
definitely putting their gold and silver and protecting it
• 23:18
electronically because they're just not used to the physical
• 23:20
aspect of it. That us, you know, stackers.
• 23:22
I consider myself a stacker now because I'm, I'm collecting the
• 23:26
physical site when I first started with digital.
• 23:28
But yeah, 100% and, and you can, and some of these companies like
• 23:31
1 Gold Rush Gold Vaulted, you can get a debit card with these
• 23:37
and these are also database companies as well.
• 23:40
And, and, and, and just because we're talking about the
• 23:43
digitization of silver and gold, that does not prohibit, won't
• 23:48
stop any of us from continuing to stack whatever silver,
• 23:51
physical silver, gold that we want to have on a person.
• 23:54
It would only serve to make, to give an option to, to both us
• 23:58
and a lot of other people to use gold and silver in a more
• 24:03
functional manner for, for everyday transactions.
• 24:09
And, and I think also the big, you know what, I, what I think a
• 24:12
lot of, a lot of stackers are afraid of digitization of gold
• 24:16
and silver. Well, digitization of the
• 24:18
physical asset, if it's, if it's backed 100% is a good, good
• 24:22
thing. And if it makes it much more
• 24:25
functional, it could result in a massive wave of demand for
• 24:30
physical metals as well, because that digital, those digital
• 24:33
representations have to be backed up by real physical
• 24:36
metal. Yeah, well, and, and almost
• 24:41
every case, right for these companies, a lot of these
• 24:43
companies use Bailey relationships or a bailment
• 24:47
where meaning that they don't own the gold and silver.
• 24:49
The minute you buy it, it's yours.
• 24:51
They're just warehousing it. But remember there's paper gold
• 24:55
and paper silver where you don't actually you're buying futures
• 24:57
contracts, you're not actually buying the underlying asset like
• 25:00
when you do when you buy sprout if you're in the stock market.
• 25:03
So, but, but yeah, 100%. I mean, I, I know a lot of
• 25:07
people, if you don't have it in your hand, you don't own it.
• 25:08
Yeah, there's third party risk. I mean, there's third party risk
• 25:11
even when you have a lot of metal in your house, right?
• 25:14
I mean I was watching a YouTube video recently, I think it was
• 25:16
Silver Dragon where somebody broke into one of his one of his
• 25:23
supporters homes and somebody code open a very expensive safe
• 25:29
and stole over $100,000 worth of gold and silver right out of his
• 25:33
house. And I mean there there is always
• 25:36
a third party risk even when you have it in your own home and a
• 25:39
very expensive safe. Yeah, yeah, Daniel, I know you
• 25:42
guys have to get running here. I'm going to run out to your
• 25:47

September 1st on Sunday. So if you're in the area and you
• 28:25
want to come hear me speak or meet me, come out to the the
• 28:28
FSBDAC conference. To see Daniel the dynamic
• 28:36
speaker, he'll and he may even be in a tuxedo, right?
• 28:39
I might be in a tuxedo. Maybe you'll.
• 28:42
Maybe I'll. Definitely have a hat on, but
• 28:44
  what hat? That's right.
• 28:46
  All right, buddy. Safe travels.
• 28:47
  Thank you. See you.
• 28:48
  Daniel, thank you. Daniel.
• 28:49
  You're welcome. See you, Chris.
• 28:52
  Bye bye. Coin Shop, Chris.
• 28:55
Hello how are we doing doing? We're doing great.
• 28:58
Now we need to talk about 90% silver because it is a harbinger
• 29:03
for things to come. I'm hearing from many different
• 29:07
angles that there is a minimum we can say, a challenge for a
• 29:10
lot of people to source it. I think we can say that it's a
• 29:15
stressed market at this point. And I, I think it's a sign for
• 29:19
what's happening, what we could see coming down the road.
• 29:23
Yeah, I mean, you know, I've been seeing a few people come in
• 29:26
to the shop, newer people coming into the shop, and that's what
• 29:29
they're really after right now is 90% or they're really
• 29:32
collecting 1 oz rounds of bars wrong.
• 29:35
I mean, you know, that is what they're they're staying away
• 29:37
from the Eagles right now because they're too much of A
• 29:39
premium on them. I'm seeing a few more people
• 29:42
buying silver Maple Leaf. I'm not seeing a lot of gold
• 29:46
going out the door, you know, I'm just not seeing that right
• 29:50
now. You know, we have one restaurant
• 29:52
in town that he is stacking, you know, 8009 thousand $10,000 at a
• 29:59
time in 90% silver. He is, he is willing to accept
• 30:05
dying in November 1st on silver or her restaurant.
• 30:11
She's going down that path too. Interest.
• 30:14
Yes, it sounds like, you know, I had a long talk with Michael,
• 30:18
one of the owners at Pembeck's this morning.
• 30:20
He said the 90% market is very, very hot.
• 30:25
He actually said white hot. He he talked about how this
• 30:27
earlier this month, right beginning of August, we had this
• 30:31
the the Japanese situation, the yen carry trade.
• 30:34
We had silver drop down in the, the overall demand really spiked
• 30:40
during that period. I mean really spiked, right.
• 30:42
We saw a big uptick in demand for silver and gold and the
• 30:47
things have now kind of leveled off into the end of the month,
• 30:50
but that the demand or the market for 90% is still so
• 30:55
pretty much white hot. I love that word white hot.
• 30:58
He said the biggest demand that they're seeing is for Dimes,
• 31:01
especially the Roosevelt Dimes, and then from their quarters and
• 31:04
then from their half dollars. And you know, I want to pull up
• 31:08
a comment from one of our viewers.
• 31:10
I always encourage our our viewer who's joining us today,
• 31:13
Chris, and, and thank you for joining us, guys.
• 31:15
Please subscribe to my channel, subscribe to Coin shop Chris's
• 31:19
channel and give us some thumbs up.
• 31:22
Super chats are always super appreciated, but I want to go
• 31:25
out and show a comment that I pulled from I don't know what.
• 31:32
Oh, I know what I did wrong. I'm not going to pull up that.
• 31:35
I'm going to pull it up in AI. Forgot that I pulled up the
• 31:39
  wrong. I lost you at.
• 31:47
The stage. OK, Can you hear me now,
• 31:49
  everybody? Chris.
• 31:51
  Hello. Hello.
• 31:52
  Hello. Hello.
• 31:53
Hello. Did we lose coin shop, Chris?
• 31:56
  I hope not. All right.
• 31:59
What the viewer said was that he pointed out examples of
• 32:03
different times throughout the years where he had bought and
• 32:06
sold junk silver, and it pointed out like 4 times where he made a
• 32:11
lot of money. And he said this time is
• 32:14
  different. I'm not selling.
• 32:15
I'm absolutely not selling. Like I said, we're hearing from
• 32:20
Mike over at Pembacs that this market for 90% is very, and I, I
• 32:25
  use the word challenging stressed.
• 32:28
  I won't say there's a shortage yet, but again, you know, I
• 32:32
think it's an important segment of the silver market that shows
• 32:34
us what we could have coming down the road.
• 32:37
It is challenging to find. It is a finite right.
• 32:41
They're not making any more. He, you know, we joked around,
• 32:44
he joked around, said I wish they were making more.
• 32:47
It would, it would, you know, it would make my probably make his
• 32:50
life as a bullion dealer much, much easier.
• 32:55
Guys, the other big news story that we got this morning was
• 32:58
inflation. Let's go out to Pembex and take
• 33:01
a look at the an update on the gold and silver price because we
• 33:07
were under a little bit of stress this morning.
• 33:08
This is not, this is about 1/2 hour old data.
• 33:12
So we're going to press the pin backs magic button and see what
• 33:14
we get for the gold price. Come on.
• 33:16
OK, down $10. We're still above 2500 and gold
• 33:20
$2510. Silver fighting to hold on to 29
• 33:25
dollars per oz if you want to get your hands on some silver,
• 33:29
gold or even 90% silver before what we all anticipate could be
• 33:35
a big run up in price, right? Not giving financial advice,
• 33:38
nobody has a crystal ball, but if you are looking for silver,
• 33:42
gold or platinum group, do yourself a favor, check out
• 33:45
channel sponsor Pinbecks. I've said it many times and I'll
• 33:49
say it again, I worked with them before they sponsored Ron's
• 33:53
  basement. Actually learned about the
• 33:55
company from you guys from Basement dwellers who told me
• 33:58
hey you should check out this company Pembacs.
• 34:00
Always had a great experience with Pembacs.
• 34:03
I think you will too. What I like about them is they
• 34:07
  always have ultra competitive prices.
• 34:10
OK, they got a great selection and it's a company I can trust.
• 34:14
I don't have to run around to, you know, 20 different websites
• 34:17
and and then, you know, try to find a good prize and then try
• 34:20
to research this company and read all the reviews.
• 34:23
I just know for me it's a great one stop shop and boy, you know
• 34:27
when you get the package in the mail from Pimbex, you can always
• 34:29
rest assured that it's going to be it's going to be packed up
• 34:33
like Fort Knox, OK? And because you got a great
• 34:36
price, the package you get will be just a little bit heavier.
• 34:41
All right, let's go over this 90% silver guys, we got to
• 34:45
remember this is silver, OK? At the end of the day, you know,
• 34:50
whether you like junk silver, 90% silver or not, it is silver.
• 34:54
They aren't making any more of it.
• 34:56
The premiums did skyrocket the last time that we had a little
• 34:59
stress in the market during the little banking crisis that you
• 35:03
may remember that we had back back about 16 months ago.
• 35:08
Some people think it's good for barter.
• 35:10
One of the interesting things that I like about about 90%
• 35:14
silver also is that 90, while it's 90% silver, 90% of
• 35:19
Americans don't even know about it or understand it.
• 35:22
And if things do get very challenging in the economy and
• 35:26
more of the sheeple, the average American people decide that they
• 35:30
want to get their hands on some silver, those quarters, those
• 35:35
Dimes, those 50 Cent pieces will look very, very recognizable.
• 35:39
They'll be very comfortable with them, right.
• 35:41
You put a silver Krugerant in their hand, they're going to
• 35:43
say, what's this? I've, I've never seen this guy
• 35:45
before. But you put a Washington quarter
• 35:48
from 1961 or 1954, it's going to look and feel familiar to them.
• 35:53
OK, I think we lost our friend coin shop Chris again.
• 35:58
So I'm going to, I'm going to run through this.
• 35:59
Oh, hey, please, guys, big news, big news.
• 36:05
Don't forget this is your last chance.
• 36:08

• 36:12

• 36:19

• 36:23
away tomorrow. One person will win all 16
• 36:27
ounces again during the 10 AM live stream Central Time on
• 36:32
Saturday, tomorrow, August 31st. If you want to enter the
• 36:36
giveaway, one and three per person, you can go to the
• 36:39
description of this video when we're done and there's a link
• 36:42
where you can go and register for the giveaway.
• 36:49
Let me, let's just go over this morning.
• 36:51
Probably why the gold and silver prices are being hit.
• 36:56
We had the PCE inflation numbers that came out.
• 36:59
The Commerce Department reported that the personal consumption
• 37:02
expenditures price index rose .2% on the month and was up 2.5%
• 37:08
from the same period a year ago. So year on year prices are up
• 37:13
2.5%, exactly in line with the Dow Jones consensus estimate,
• 37:19
excluding volatile food and energy prices.
• 37:22
Core PCE, which is what apparently the Fed really
• 37:25
watches, also increased .2% for the month, but was up 2.6 from a
• 37:30
year ago. The 12 month figure was slightly
• 37:34
softer. So the inflation numbers did
• 37:36
come in right about, we're expected maybe a little bit
• 37:39
lower. In theory that should have been
• 37:42
a little bit positive for the silver and gold price, but what
• 37:46
we're seeing and we're going to go back out and check again at
• 37:48
the Pembex website here in a second, but what we're seeing is
• 37:51
a bit of a draw down in silver and gold this morning.
• 37:55
What's happening right now is we are in this big when it comes to
• 37:59
the to the silver and gold price and we always are going to look
• 38:01
at everything through that lens of the silver and gold price
• 38:04
because that's what we like to talk about.
• 38:07
But everything's kind of been limbo ish with the Fed.
• 38:10
People are pretty sure, absolutely sure almost that the
• 38:13
Fed is going to lower rates by at least 1/4 of a percentage
• 38:17
point in September at the September meeting.
• 38:20
And we need to look at a calendar that may just be here
• 38:22
in the next few weeks. But there's this debate.
• 38:25
Will the Fed lower rates even more?
• 38:28
The .5%, You know, last I'd heard there was like a 70%
• 38:32
chance that we'd get a 1/4 point rate reduction in about a 30%
• 38:37
chance that we would get a half percentage point downward
• 38:42
adjustment in the in the Fed rate through their monetary
• 38:46
policy decision. We're in this state of limbo,
• 38:49
you know, we're getting all this information, you know, the oh,
• 38:51
the economies soft landing and you know, we had GDP numbers
• 38:55
this week and now we get these inflation numbers that are right
• 38:59
in line with expectations, of course.
• 39:02
And then we had a the the unemployment continuing claims
• 39:06
number yesterday, which indicated that the labor market
• 39:11
know what we were hoping. We don't want people to lose
• 39:13
their jobs. But you know, what we were
• 39:15
hoping for was an actual accurate number because we know
• 39:20
how how skewed their numbers are.
• 39:22
And we didn't, you know, what we got was a number that showed
• 39:25
that the labor market was rather strong.
• 39:27
Now we got to ask this question, right?
• 39:29
Do we believe the numbers that they told us yesterday about the
• 39:32
job market, right? Because don't forget, don't
• 39:35
forget, there's 818,000 Americans out there who have
• 39:39
imaginary jobs, right? Because we learned just what
• 39:42
last week that the Bureau of Labor and Statistics adjusted
• 39:48
the number of jobs that they thought they had created from
• 39:51
March of 2023 through March of 2024.
• 39:55
They reduced it down like, oh, we made a mistake.
• 39:58
We over reported how many jobs were created by 818,000.
• 40:03
So go talk to those 18818 thousand Americans who don't
• 40:08
have a job, who don't have any money.
• 40:10
Even if they did, they couldn't afford because like we talked
• 40:12
earlier, right, companies like Big Lots.
• 40:16
Are claiming bankruptcy. What was the other one?
• 40:19
The Dollar General is like the stock like cratered yesterday
• 40:24
because their sales were down and their profits were down.
• 40:27
Dollar General look, I love those types of stores.
• 40:30
You know I'm a tight wad, right? There's a Dollar General that we
• 40:33
we go to when we're down in Orange Beach.
• 40:35
I don't have any around here. But but that's where a lot of
• 40:39
the the core like middle, lower middle America goes to get a lot
• 40:44
of their products. What does it tell us tell us
• 40:46
about the health of the economy that those companies are
• 40:48
shrinking? I think we've got coin shop.
• 40:50
Chris back again. Chris, are you going to make
• 40:53
another cameo appearance? I'm trying to, I'm trying to
• 40:56
burn the stream. Stream yard stuff.
• 40:58
Ron, I got my cameras turned the right way for you all.
• 41:01
Now, man, you're on top. You're all right.
• 41:05
You're you're on top of it, brother.
• 41:07
So once again we have coin shop, Chris, the king of junk silver,
• 41:11
the king of constitutional silver, right, Chris?
• 41:13
I mean, you love that stuff. What are your?
• 41:16
  Thoughts about. Yeah.
• 41:18
  I mean, I I love it. I mean, everything.
• 41:24
It seems like everybody wants it now.
• 41:26
I mean, just, you know, we were just talking just before it, you
• 41:29
know, a few years ago. Nobody wanted it, Ron.
• 41:31
You know, they said, no, it's not worth.
• 41:33
It's not worth it. And, you know, I kept playing
• 41:36
the case, you know, it. It's the best value that you're
• 41:39
banging for your buck. You know, when we were in the
• 41:41
banking crisis, this stuff went up almost nearly 35 times.
• 41:44
Face Ron I mean, that was insane to see that some places were up
• 41:49
to 40 times face I remember, you know, I'm seeing online, some
• 41:53
online Boeing deals were charging $40.00 for two half
• 41:57
  dollars. It was insane.
• 42:00
I mean, then it seemed like I don't know where all the
• 42:02
inventory came back into the marketplace, but this, you know,
• 42:06
it seems like it's just drying up once again, you know, I was
• 42:11
listening to. Go ahead, go ahead.
• 42:15
Well, no, Mike from Pinbacks brought up a great point.
• 42:17
Like it's finite, right? I mean, it's silver.
• 42:19
It's kind of a double. It's double double finite,
• 42:22
right, because there's only so much silver in the world.
• 42:25
But on top of that, when it comes to those coins method
• 42:28
during those periods, there's only so much in in.
• 42:33
Hey, thank you, Silvershire. Wow, what a super chat.
• 42:36
That's awesome. Thank you, my friend.
• 42:38
I was supposed to show a, a quote from, from Silvershire,
• 42:41
but I forgot to load all the stuff up to my thought.
• 42:44
  It's finite. Silver is finite.
• 42:46
On top of that, the, the, the 90% silver is finite.
• 42:51
It's very recognizable to Americans, OK, you know, and,
• 42:56
and Mike, Mike, I think it's funny he brought he, he joked
• 42:59
when he said this, he said, he said it's finite.
• 43:00
He said, I wish they were making more of it because I think it
• 43:04
would make his life a lot easier, right.
• 43:06
But they're not making any more of it.
• 43:08
And you know, what do you think about this?
• 43:10
Chris? Did do they call it 90% silver
• 43:13
because 90% of Americans have no idea what it is.
• 43:17
No, it's made out of 90% serving 10% copper and you know, Mike's
• 43:22
light, you know, I mean, because I was looking at pinbacks a
• 43:24
couple weeks ago. The last two weeks they were
• 43:26
out, they got it back in stock. You know the Roosevelt Dimes.
• 43:29
I'm I'm talking about you know, they have a great they have
• 43:32
great prices. You know, as of seven AI don't
• 43:35
maybe you can pull up their flight, Ron as of 7:56 AM on the
• 43:39
East Coast, they have 10 face bag of several cores was
• 43:43
2/31/20. The Dimes they finally got back
• 43:47
in that they they were 11570 for a roll of $5.00 face bag and the
• 43:54
half dollars for Franklin's were 2356 for a dollar face.
• 43:58
Those are some gosh darn good prices.
• 44:02
You know, I mean, if you can get it between right now 22 and 25
• 44:06
times face, you're really doing yourself good.
• 44:09
If you can get that melt, even better.
• 44:12
You know, I've been hearing that, you know, at melt, you
• 44:14
know, you know, that's even a better price.
• 44:17
So, so I pulled up if you can, you see the screen right now,
• 44:22
  Chris? Yes.
• 44:24
I pulled up the hopefully you can see the Pembacs website.
• 44:28
  They're 90%, so like a 90, a 90% American Franklin half dollar.
• 44:33
Some, some of our viewers may not know this.
• 44:35
So, so if you buy two of these, right, that's a dollar that
• 44:40
that's what the FB stands for that makes $1.00 at face value
• 44:43
by 250 cent pieces. You're going to pay as low as
• 44:48
that's the cash price at volume $22.16, OK.
• 44:52
Right. That's if you buy more than like
• 44:54
  2020 lots. Right.
• 44:56
And you're paying with with like an ACH payment, that type of
• 44:59
  thing. Correct.
• 45:01
But so, so you're, you're getting for, for one, you buy
• 45:04
two of them, that's $1.00 face value and you are getting .715
• 45:12
ounces of silver, correct? For a dollar, I mean for a
• 45:16
dollar, yeah, yeah, OK. And that and that counts for any
• 45:20
quarters and Dimes. Also the easiest way to
• 45:23
calculate this for me, any dollar 40 face.
• 45:28
So $1.40 face and 90% silver equals to one ounce of silver.
• 45:35
Of silver, right, That's kind of six or one half dozen the other.
• 45:38
But if it's a dollar face, if it's four quarters, 10 Dimes,
• 45:42
250 cent pieces, or if it's 150 cent piece with five Dimes,
• 45:49
  that's a dollar face value. You get .71, a little under 3/4
• 45:54
of an ounce of actual silver, which is why the price is lower
• 45:59
right now than what the spot price is on silver, correct?
• 46:04
  Correct. Yes.
• 46:05
Yeah, and they're not making any more of this stuff, right?
• 46:09
  There's always a chance. I know for a while there I was.
• 46:12
What were those things? I was buying 50 Cent.
• 46:14
I was buying this what, 65 to 69 you were?
• 46:18
Buying the 40% is yes. Yeah, that's a whole different.
• 46:21
I mean that's a, we won't even get into that, but and there's
• 46:24
some wow. So that's like $100 face value
• 46:27
bag of Washington quarters that you showed earlier, right?
• 46:33
Right there. So it takes four of those to
• 46:36
make to make that that that $1.00 face value.
• 46:42
  That's. Correct.
• 46:43
Like what I the other thing I like about this is is obviously
• 46:46
cuz they're not making any more, but also because it could become
• 46:50
  collectible at some point, right?
• 46:51
People say it's junk, blah blah blah.
• 46:53
Well, you know, it could. There's always a chance, I'm not
• 46:57
giving financial advice, a chance that they could become
• 47:00
kind of a numismatic type thing, right?
• 47:03
I mean, you never know. It's something like this one.
• 47:05
I'm not sure my camera's gonna pick this up.
• 47:07
  I'm gonna try it. I.
• 47:08
Can see it. I can see it.
• 47:09
You're. Out there, you know, these are
• 47:10
almost like a like a BU coin here.
• 47:14
I'm trying to get my camera here.
• 47:16
Moving forward, your camera on your there it is.
• 47:19
Yeah, right. We can see those are you know
• 47:22
those are some BU ones and they they would only book a bit more.
• 47:25
But some of these when you order these through online deals like
• 47:28
pin backs, you will find some of these like.
• 47:34
OK, we lost coin shop Chris again.
• 47:39
Well, hey, guys, You know what? I think we're going to.
• 47:41
Let's see if we can get him back.
• 47:42
We'll give him another shot here.
• 47:44
Hello, Chris, can you hear us? We can't hear you.
• 47:47
I can hear you. OK, we can hear you now.
• 47:50
Go ahead. All right, and this is, you
• 47:52
know, I mean, I, I bought rolls from online deals before and
• 47:55
sometimes you get a lot, you know, a mixed bag of B us or,
• 48:01
you know, not so much be used. You know, it's circulated with
• 48:04
rolls too. I mean, you know, if you get
• 48:06
some B us, they're worth a little bit more because they're
• 48:08
in better shape. So you may want to put those
• 48:10
ones on the side, put them in another jug.
• 48:14
You know, that's how I try to separate the, you know,
• 48:16
especially the halves. I love the Franklins.
• 48:18
I love the walkins. The a lot of problems with the
• 48:21
walkins, they got a little bit of wear on them.
• 48:23
You know, they are some be used, you know, even the your Barber
• 48:26
halves have some wear on them. You know, I just stack normally
• 48:29
what I stack is the Washington silver quarters, the Franklin
• 48:33
halves and the Roosevelt Dimes. That is what I go into.
• 48:38
You, you brought up a great point, Chris, that I think I
• 48:40
want to cover. I want to share this with our
• 48:42
viewers. It's very critical for them to
• 48:44
understand if they do decide to buy 90% or some people call it
• 48:49
constitutional, some people call it junk, right, right.
• 48:53
Like you. You're the Fred Sanford of junk
• 48:55
  silver, right? That's right.
• 48:58
The king of junk coin shop, Chris.
• 48:59
But another important thing for people to remember is that when
• 49:03
you buy it, you're buying old coins.
• 49:05
So unless you're buying coins that are being represented to
• 49:09
you as being uncirculated or they're graded somehow as being
• 49:13
higher grade, you're going to get coins that are worn right.
• 49:18
I think that that surprises some people.
• 49:20
If you're buying just the, the, the, the junk, you know, the,
• 49:24
the 90% silver and you're not paying any type of premium to
• 49:28
get like, you know, better grade coins.
• 49:30
You're going to get, you're going to get coins that are,
• 49:32
that are likely, I'm going to they, they were used for decades
• 49:36
and decades and they'll be worn down.
• 49:38
You may not see feathers and eagles.
• 49:40
You may not see, you know, hair and George Washington or
• 49:44
something like that. So what you're buying is, is
• 49:48
really the the silver content. But again, you know, it's
• 49:51
they're, they're not making any more of it.
• 49:54
Well, you may not remember this one and I know I was not even
• 49:57
born yet, but in 1973 parts of this country had gas lines
• 50:03
because of the oil embargo and there was lines, the gas
• 50:07
stations just for these gas stations to take a silver
• 50:11
coinage only there was special lines.
• 50:15
Are we going to see that day again?
• 50:16
That really could happen. You know, I'm you know, I would
• 50:20
love to see the day we actually trading 90% silver, junk silver,
• 50:24
constitution silver, what anybody wants to call it in
• 50:27
trade in stores. And it's you know, you made post
• 50:30
about it. You've said it this morning,
• 50:32
Ron. There's this a deli shop where
• 50:34
in California that is going to take silver portray, you know,
• 50:38
for for a sandwich. I think that's great.
• 50:40
I think more businesses and that's where it's going to start
• 50:43
with the small businesses. And when the biggest outlet
• 50:48
stores see that, you know they're going to small
• 50:50
businesses, these biggest stores might pick up on this.
• 50:53
  I think that's great, Ron. I think that's great.
• 50:56
I mean. You see that on the screen.
• 50:57
Bring your, bring your silver Eagles.
• 51:00
We now accept one ounce American Silver Eagle coins, $10 over
• 51:05
spot price. So I guess the way I would
• 51:08
understand this is a deli in California.
• 51:10
The story was broke by our friend Pound of Gold YouTube
• 51:13
channel. But basically you bring your
• 51:15
American Silver Eagle in to that deli and as I would understand
• 51:19
it, you're going to get, you can buy basically $40 worth of food
• 51:24
with that money, right at his cost on that food might be 10 or
• 51:27
  15 bucks, whatever that means. It's a good, it's a, it's a,
• 51:30
it's a win win situation. I know how.
• 51:33
You look, I'm not to interrupt you, but think about $10 over
• 51:37
spot not we're not paying $10 over spot for Eagles right now.
• 51:42
That is this owner knows probably knows something more
• 51:46
than the rest of us maybe. But if he if this if this
• 51:49
restaurant owner is willing to pay $10 over spot, that is huge.
• 51:53
  Yeah, I don't he's not, I don't, I I don't think he he's paying
• 51:57
$10 over spot if he if he gets to give you food back, he's not
• 52:01
  paying 10 bucks. I mean, I don't know.
• 52:02
  That's still that's still a good value.
• 52:05
Yeah. That's really a good value.
• 52:07
But he's making a lot of profit on the food, right?
• 52:10
I mean, let's be real here. But it's a good sign.
• 52:12
I mean, exactly. Yeah, it's a good sign.
• 52:14
And then I have to wonder since don't be, let me look at my
• 52:17
American Silver Eagles on them say that they're they're worth
• 52:21
  $1.00, right. So it's one U.S. dollar. $1.00
• 52:24
face yes. Yeah, I was wondering, I was
• 52:26
like, I wonder if this guy's only reporting a dollar worth of
• 52:29
sales each time he takes an American Silver Eagle.
• 52:32
But that's none of my business and and I won't go.
• 52:35
I mean, but if someone is, if someone is trapped for cash and
• 52:38
they need to get something, you know, we all need to eat.
• 52:41
I mean, I think that's a great way to, you know, trade.
• 52:44
I mean, we need to see more of this.
• 52:46
I would love to see more of this.
• 52:48
I mean, even if it's just betrayed and not not straight up
• 52:51
buying it, Ron, but you know, I would, you know, that is that's
• 52:54
awesome to see that you know. Yeah.
• 52:58
Yeah, yeah. Do you think do?
• 52:59
You think, do you think, Chris, do you, do you think a person
• 53:02
can ever have too much 90% silver?
• 53:04
Are there, are there some people out there?
• 53:07
I mean, you know, I know at night that, you know, sometimes,
• 53:11
some nights you throw rose petals onto your bed, but most
• 53:13
nights you like to throw a handful of your of your
• 53:16
Washington junk over quarters. Is there?
• 53:20
Is there get a point where it becomes too much?
• 53:22
Where where a guy can have or or gal can have too many 90% coins?
• 53:29
Absolutely not because it's it's you know, you can stack them in
• 53:33
bags, you can stack them in medicine balls like I showed you
• 53:38
earlier on. You know, I can throw your gun.
• 53:40
Now the $58 with the Nets medicine ball, it don't take up
• 53:43
much room. So the simple answer, no, I
• 53:46
don't think this ever, everybody can have too much, you know,
• 53:50
it's, you know, I, I'm still stacking it, you know, because
• 53:55
I, I think it's going to be drying up and, you know, the
• 53:58
more you have, the better. I think you're going to be off.
• 54:00
I mean, and that's not trying to be a sales pitch here.
• 54:03
And it, you know, don't matter to me where anybody buys it from
• 54:06
as long as they get it for a good fair price.
• 54:10
That's my message. Let me make this very clear.
• 54:13
Coin Shop Chris is not selling you anything, right?
• 54:15
You just love 90% silver. I mean, you changed your name.
• 54:19
You changed your name to Coin Shop Chris, right?
• 54:23
And we take out your middle name.
• 54:24
You're just Coin Chris. But I mean, you love this stuff,
• 54:26
no doubt about it. I this is my go to.
• 54:31
Yes, I have other stuff. You know, I, I have 10 oz bars.
• 54:33
I got 5 oz bars. Yes, I have it.
• 54:36
You know, I just don't stack a lot of gold.
• 54:38
I'm kind of like you, Ron. You know, I, I got some gold
• 54:40
mining stocks, but you know, yeah, 90% silver.
• 54:45
You know, when I first got one of my hand, I guess it was when
• 54:48
I was a little kid, my grandfather gave me one and it
• 54:52
just felt different. It sounded different when it
• 54:54
bounced on the floor or the counter.
• 54:58
And he explained to me it was real money.
• 55:00
The stuff we have out there today, the Coors and Dimes we
• 55:03
have out there in circulates today, They won't.
• 55:05
They're not worth anything. I mean, what, what can you buy
• 55:08
for a regular dime here? A silver Dimes built nothing for
• 55:11
about 2:28 or so. I mean, that's a silver dime.
• 55:15
That's why they took it out of circulation because it cost too
• 55:18
much to mint these. I mean, you know, when Nixon
• 55:22
took us off the gold standard and you know, you know, some of
• 55:25
these times I paid $1.50 for one, some of them I paid 2 bucks
• 55:28
for. Some of them I paid $0.95 for.
• 55:31
That's why I say it's better the cost average.
• 55:33
If we see a dip in silver, this was going to go down a little
• 55:37
bit. The premiums might stay up
• 55:39
though, you know. But the, the, the, they will
• 55:42
come down eventually too. I mean it's, it's just based on
• 55:45
the market of what you know, I just don't want to see this
• 55:49
stuff get back up to 3537 times space and I think we will get
• 55:53
there eventually. It's just a matter of time.
• 55:56
It feels like it'll be the first thing to go next time that we
• 56:00
get a big spike in demand for silver.
• 56:04
I mean, if right now I'm getting reports from you, I'm getting
• 56:07
reports from Pembacs that it's AI think very conservatively.
• 56:12
We can say it's a challenged market.
• 56:15
It's under a lot of stress. It will be the first thing to go
• 56:18
right. I think it'll probably be that
• 56:19
and then American silver Eagles and and that's what we'll have
• 56:22
to to look forward to. What do you think about this
• 56:27
idea that being able to buy silver now?
• 56:29
Because you're always telling me, Ron, buy more silver.
• 56:31
Ron buy and I say, I got plenty of silver.
• 56:33
I don't need to buy silver. I'll buy it more if it gets to
• 56:35
2650, which I missed my last two chances.
• 56:38
But nonetheless, this idea that right now with this disconnect
• 56:43
that we have between gold prices, it, you know, all time
• 56:46
highs doing very well and the silver price, which is far from
• 56:51
its all time high. Do you think that like being
• 56:53
able to buy silver now for $30.00 an ounce is like the
• 56:57
equivalent of being able to buy gold for 1500?
• 57:02
Absolutely. I mean, you know what, look,
• 57:05
look at the look at the dollar on every time you, the viewers,
• 57:09
myself, we go to the grocery store, everything is going up,
• 57:13
you know, look what you can buy. You know, ask your mom and dad,
• 57:17
they're a little bit older. Of course, you know what they
• 57:20
could buy for a dime back in their days.
• 57:22
You know, when, when they, when you were a little, you know,
• 57:25
babies doing diapers on, you know, really, I mean, ask them
• 57:28
what they could buy for a silver dime back then.
• 57:30
What, where can you buy for a dime today?
• 57:34
Nothing, really nothing. Silver and gold have kept up
• 57:39
with inflation. You know, I remember my dad
• 57:42
telling me Ron, when he was a kid, he could buy a a can, a
• 57:45
candy bar, and they were a lot bigger back then for a nickel.
• 57:50
What can you buy for a candy? But what are they out there
• 57:52
today? They're over a buck run.
• 57:54
You go to the convenience stores, they're almost 2 bucks.
• 57:57
Yeah, Yeah, You know, it's easy because it's easy for us to get
• 58:00
get caught up in this like day-to-day movement, silver and
• 58:04
gold. But the bottom line is silver
• 58:05
and gold will keep up with inflation.
• 58:09
And they're they're at the end of the day, what inflation is,
• 58:13
is a loss in value in the dollar, right.
• 58:16
I mean, and we know that, yes, I mean, I remember clear Chris.
• 58:20
I remember I was born in 1970. I clearly remember 1971 in my
• 58:26
cage that my parents kept me in. Oh yeah.
• 58:31
We had ATV, we had ATV. We didn't have running water,
• 58:34
but we did have ATV. And I remember clearly when
• 58:37
Nixon came on TV and said they were taking the US off the gold
• 58:41
standard and I threw an absolute fit, OK.
• 58:45
Now it's important to remember that since he did that, the
• 58:48
dollars lost like 99% of its value versus gold.
• 58:52
I don't know the statistic versus silver, but I hear 9899%.
• 58:56
I think especially now in particular, that we've had this
• 58:59
rocket ship, you know, cent in gold up to $2500 an ounce.
• 59:04
It's so important to remember, right?
• 59:06
I mean, that the gold and silver at the end of the day will keep
• 59:10
up with inflation. And inflation is nothing more
• 59:13
than the devaluation of the US dollar.
• 59:18
Absolutely. And we got the rate cuts coming
• 59:20
in September, we got the bricks in October.
• 59:24
And all I'll say about politics, Ron, we got the election coming
• 59:27
up in November. These these, these, all these
• 59:31
three things, the rate cuts, the bricks in October and the
• 59:34
election November. This is this is going to put a
• 59:37
huge uptick on silver and gold. And when it's gone, you know,
• 59:45
even one ounce, silver eagles, maples, whatever you want to
• 59:49
say, it's going to be gone. And it's going to take a 70,
• 59:52
about 72 hours for the inventory.
• 59:54
What's out there on these online phone dealers, what's left in
• 59:58
the coin shops? And a lot of people will say
• 1:00:02
  there's plenty out there. Wow.
• 1:00:04
If you really think there's plenty out there, when something
• 1:00:07
big happens, it's going to be 72 hours and it's going to be wiped
• 1:00:11
out. Oh, yeah, Because, you know, I,
• 1:00:16
I believe that wholeheartedly, OK, And that's my truth, right?
• 1:00:20
But I believe that the next time, right, We have any type of
• 1:00:24
crisis in this country and the you, you, you, you know, there's
• 1:00:27
a big list. There's a lot of potential
• 1:00:29
things and and they do happen. We don't like it.
• 1:00:32
I'm not rooting for it anything else.
• 1:00:34
But the reality is the silver is gone quick.
• 1:00:37
Look what happened during C19. Look what happened during the
• 1:00:39
little banking fiasco. It happened so quickly because
• 1:00:43
everybody can run out the pin backs and order a bunch of gold
• 1:00:46
and silver like in the matter of 15 minutes.
• 1:00:48
What used to take in 1980, you know, and back in 1980 when I
• 1:00:54
was growing up a little bit since Nixon took us off the gold
• 1:00:56
standard. But I, you know, I I remember
• 1:00:58
when silver hit $50. Yeah, yeah, sure.
• 1:01:01
No, but I hear stories from many people that there were lines out
• 1:01:06
the doors at the coin shops, right?
• 1:01:09
That you had to get there before the coin shopped open, get in
• 1:01:11
line and hope that you were able to get in to get yourself some
• 1:01:16
silver at that point that does that's not the case that because
• 1:01:19
there was no online now people can in, you know, people can buy
• 1:01:23
up all the gold and silver much more quickly, right?
• 1:01:27
The matter of hours, days, which used to take maybe two or three
• 1:01:31
or four weeks. The information flow and the
• 1:01:33
ability to purchase the metals much more quickly will have a
• 1:01:37
major impact on what is a very delicate and sensitive.
• 1:01:41
You know, Chris, I'm, I've shared with you, I'm a very
• 1:01:43
sensitive person, right? That's that's the silver market
• 1:01:47
  as well. Right.
• 1:01:50
And it's going to be, you know, our only at the shopper on I'm
• 1:01:55
telling you, he is stocked up right now on everything.
• 1:01:58
But really 90% silver right this right now he is ready for
• 1:02:03
something to happen. He says I rather have it on hand
• 1:02:07
than having to try to find it. And when he's and when he's
• 1:02:12
paying people to go out there to pawn shops, to yard sales, to
• 1:02:17
wherever in the local area trying to find this stuff, you
• 1:02:20
know, the 90% silver up he's doing this out is kind of his
• 1:02:24
hot. He's not making a kind of money
• 1:02:26
off this. He is making maybe $0.25 off of
• 1:02:31
a dollar face, $0.50 on the half dollars.
• 1:02:35
And that's the truth. I mean it's we're paying out for
• 1:02:38
it right right now is some brought in any type of quarters
• 1:02:43
or Dimes. Right now we're paying 22.25
• 1:02:48
face and we're selling it for two dollars, $22.50 times face.
• 1:02:52
So he's making 1/4 per dollar. I mean that is that's how tight
• 1:02:58
the margins are. And when people say coin shops
• 1:03:01
make all this money in the Boeing dealers, no, the profit
• 1:03:04
margins are so thin. We have to, we have to worry
• 1:03:08
about volume. It's not the volume.
• 1:03:11
That's what adds up quickly for the shops.
• 1:03:14
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What about this question we get
• 1:03:17
all the time, Chris? I get this all the time.
• 1:03:20
And now that I got you on here and we're doing the world's
• 1:03:22
longest live stream, by the way. But but people ask all the time,
• 1:03:27
well, what if the price of silver goes to $65?
• 1:03:31
Who's going to buy my silver? Who's going to buy my silver?
• 1:03:34
And what I tell them is if the price of silver goes to $65,
• 1:03:39
it's only going to go there because people are buying it.
• 1:03:43
If people aren't buying it for 65 or 85 or 55, whatever the
• 1:03:48
price is that you want to, if you're afraid you won't be able
• 1:03:50
to sell your silver at, if people aren't buying it at that
• 1:03:52
price, then the price would come down to a price where people
• 1:03:56
would buy it. Any thoughts on that coin shop,
• 1:03:58
Chris? Well, yeah, look, I mean 2
• 1:04:01
thousand 2011, you will probably remember this.
• 1:04:04
I know, I remember this. When silver hit $50.00 an ounce,
• 1:04:09
our owner said it was coming in. They were selling right back
• 1:04:13
out. You know, he was making a dollar
• 1:04:16
an ounce. I mean, he, he, he said we back
• 1:04:18
in those days, he didn't have all these fancy computers like
• 1:04:21
he had now. He was on the old school, you
• 1:04:23
know, mom and pop register and don't write.
• 1:04:27
He was writing tickets back in the day.
• 1:04:29
You know, they, he said we couldn't write the tickets fast
• 1:04:31
  enough. Look at gold.
• 1:04:33
Gold was used to be $300.00 an ounce.
• 1:04:36
Wrong, right? People still buying gold today
• 1:04:38
at $2500 an ounce. So that's, yeah, right.
• 1:04:43
Exactly, Chris. Yes, the to the answer to your
• 1:04:47
question is it don't matter what silver gets up to.
• 1:04:50
Even if silver gets up to $150.00 an ounce, this, they're
• 1:04:53
going to be buyers out there because people are going to say
• 1:04:56
I missed the boat and I'm trying to catch the ride up where it's
• 1:04:59
going to go to next and remember.
• 1:05:03
Go ahead. And remember we talking about
• 1:05:07
dollars, I urge, I cannot give financial advice as you know
• 1:05:10
Ron, but I urge if you need to sell half a fast way out to
• 1:05:16
spend that cash, don't, no, I see a lot of people will say to
• 1:05:21
me until we get to $50.00 an ounce, I'm cashed out.
• 1:05:25
My question is what are you going to do with the cash?
• 1:05:27
You going to go throw it in bank a bank and lose value there?
• 1:05:31
  Yeah. Yeah, I mean.
• 1:05:33
Peter, Peter Grantich thinks it's going to be a while till we
• 1:05:36
get the $85. Where is he?
• 1:05:38
Silver, right? There's the, the old silver bear
• 1:05:41
right above me. But if it if it does get to that
• 1:05:44
point, you're right, the dollar will be on it.
• 1:05:47
And I and I think it could happen.
• 1:05:48
I'm not making, but we could be on an accelerated path of the
• 1:05:53
dollar going down in value. So if silver hits 45 or 50 bucks
• 1:05:57
an ounce, I agree with you 100%. It's not going to be smart to
• 1:06:00
convert that into paper money because if the dollars on that
• 1:06:03
path of going down in value quickly, it's likely to
• 1:06:06
continue. So those dollars that you, you
• 1:06:10
know that you converted your silver from to anyway, when you,
• 1:06:15
when you converted your silver into dollars, those dollars
• 1:06:18
could likely a month or two or three or a year later be worth
• 1:06:21
half as much at that point as to when you converted the silver.
• 1:06:25
And the silver would have continued to go up in, in, in
• 1:06:29
price as measured in those very same dollars, correct?
• 1:06:35
Correct. Well, look, well, look at the
• 1:06:36
bond market. Bond bonds are paying what, 55
• 1:06:39
percent, 4%, whether they're paying the past year.
• 1:06:43
Year was up over 23%. Gold's up over 30% over the past
• 1:06:47
year and people are out there and call it, oh, it's a pet
• 1:06:51
  rock. Really.
• 1:06:53
I'm happy with 23% gain. I'm happy with 30% gain in gold.
• 1:06:57
That's a very good move in one year.
• 1:07:00
Think about how many, if we can maintain that Ron, over the next
• 1:07:04
couple years, these gains where the price is going to go.
• 1:07:08
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, just it begs the question,
• 1:07:11
  right, All right. Gold.
• 1:07:12
They asked one of the Fed Reserve guy, I don't know if it
• 1:07:15
was, I think it was Bernanke. They said why does the Fed?
• 1:07:17
And then why does the Fed, you know, why do we, why do we hold
• 1:07:19
gold in the United States? He said it's a tradition.
• 1:07:21
It's and I know one of them called it a pet rock.
• 1:07:24
It's a tradition. Well, then why is gold at an all
• 1:07:29
time high right now, right. Why are the was it being bought
• 1:07:34
by every central bank? We get other, we get news now
• 1:07:37
the Poland was the biggest buyer of gold during the second
• 1:07:40
quarter, the biggest central bank buyer of gold, Poland,
• 1:07:43
  that's a European country, right?
• 1:07:45
And they're right on the border between Western Europe and and
• 1:07:50
Russia. Why would Poland be buying so
• 1:07:52
much gold, right? And why this is the big one that
• 1:07:55
I think a lot of people don't understand, it's critical.
• 1:07:58
It was the one of the biggest moves that that that probably
• 1:08:02
helped reshape where we are right now with gold.
• 1:08:05
And that is why did the bank or International Settlements make
• 1:08:09
gold a tier one asset, right? Why would they do that?
• 1:08:13
And they did, right? And that means that it's on par
• 1:08:17
with cash and it's on par with sovereign government bonds.
• 1:08:21
The Bank for International Settlements is the central Bank
• 1:08:24
of the central banks. Now I'm going to answer that
• 1:08:28
question in a very short way, Ron, all Fiat currency.
• 1:08:32
OK, well, here we'll see. There we go, all.
• 1:08:35
Fiat currency. I'm going to beat that time of
• 1:08:37
  two. All Fiat currency dies.
• 1:08:38
Look at the deficit the US has. Look at the deficit Japan has.
• 1:08:42
Look at the deficits of all these other countries, and they
• 1:08:47
don't want the US dollar. You can time me all you want
• 1:08:50
wrong because I'm done now. That's all I have to say.
• 1:08:55
You know what else that is, Chris?
• 1:08:57
You know what else this is? You know what this what we're?
• 1:08:59
Looking at right now. You got, you got 10 more minutes
• 1:09:02
because we're going to be, we're going to get on a super roll
• 1:09:04
now, buddy, you got 10 more minutes.
• 1:09:06
  I got 10 more minutes. Let's go.
• 1:09:08
OK, So what you're looking at right now is not a timer timing
• 1:09:12
the coin shop. Chris can indeed answer a
• 1:09:14
question in less than two minutes, which he did like I
• 1:09:17
have any room to talk with my big mouth.
• 1:09:18
But nonetheless, what you're also looking at that yellow part
• 1:09:22
at the top that's slowly draining.
• 1:09:24
That's the above ground silver surplus in the world right now.
• 1:09:30
Because right now in our world with silver, we know there's a
• 1:09:34
massive deficit. There's a lot more silver being
• 1:09:36
consumed to the tune of hundreds of millions of Oz every year.
• 1:09:41
Then it's coming out of the mind, out of the mind.
• 1:09:43
So that above ground, you can see it's going down, right?
• 1:09:46
That's what's happening right now, right?
• 1:09:48
That's what's going on. We got to remember that is
• 1:09:51
silver investors see that it's almost gone.
• 1:09:54
It's almost gone. I call it the silver slush fund,
• 1:09:57
right? The mining sector is only
• 1:09:59
putting out about 800, a little over 800 million oz per year,
• 1:10:03
right? And then recycling adds another
• 1:10:05
150 or whatever, about a billion ounces of year.
• 1:10:08
And the world is consuming like what, 1.2?
• 1:10:10
And I'm believe I'm being conservative here.
• 1:10:13
That's the reality, right? Eventually up.
• 1:10:16
It's almost there. It's almost there, right?
• 1:10:19
It's all gone, right? It's and it's like TikTok,
• 1:10:23
  TikTok. Because guess what?
• 1:10:25
The mines aren't making any more silver.
• 1:10:27
There's no plans to produce more silver at any time in the near
• 1:10:30
  future. OK, and guess what?
• 1:10:32
The demand for silver continues to go through the roof every
• 1:10:38
time we turn around everything as I heard, I forget who it is.
• 1:10:40
I wish I could credit them. They said everything.
• 1:10:44
I want you to react to this statement, Chris.
• 1:10:47
Everything that Silver touches, it makes better.
• 1:10:52
It does it really, It really does.
• 1:10:55
I mean, you know, a lot of people don't realize in your
• 1:10:58
electrical panels in your house and I don't advise anybody to do
• 1:11:02
with it not being electrician, but is actually a little ring
• 1:11:07
behind your circuit Breakers and has a little ring of silver
• 1:11:11
behind that. It's not a lot, but that's gone
• 1:11:14
for how many years? You look at Samsung, You said
• 1:11:17
this on your channel, Ron, but I'm going to repeat it here.
• 1:11:19
Samsung's coming out with the new silver battery that that
• 1:11:22
still was gone for 20 years. Your solar panel silver is gone
• 1:11:25
for 20 plus years. And all our cell phones or
• 1:11:29
computers, when we get done with the the electronics, they don't
• 1:11:34
really recycle the silver. That little bit of silver is in
• 1:11:37
each single phone and this millions and billions of phones
• 1:11:40
out there that get thrown in landfills and that still was
• 1:11:43
gone forever. Are we going to start mining
• 1:11:46
landfills next for this silver that's out there?
• 1:11:51
And I mean, that's what's, you know, that's going to get new
• 1:11:53
mining out there. Oh yeah, 5050 years from now,
• 1:11:59
landfills. We should buy an old landfill
• 1:12:01
and just sit on it because 50 years from now they're going to
• 1:12:03
be like the gold mines of today, right?
• 1:12:05
They'll be digging in there and pulling out all kinds of of
• 1:12:08
interesting stuff in history. Years now you'll probably be
• 1:12:11
over 100 years old Ron and you'll be seeing in the wheel
• 1:12:15
wheels you're still playing with your My Little Pony so.
• 1:12:20
Don't open that don't open that can of worms.
• 1:12:22
But it really it it it really truly is a TikTok, TikTok
• 1:12:27
situation. The above ground silver and,
• 1:12:29
and, and I read this recently and I think there's some debate
• 1:12:32
on this subject, so don't quote me guys, and you can correct me
• 1:12:35
if I'm wrong, but there's less above ground silver, right?
• 1:12:40
This stuff, right? You know, there's, there's less
• 1:12:44
of this and that silver that you see on Chris's screen.
• 1:12:47
There's less of this the silver that our viewer right now has
• 1:12:50
that they're looking at. There's less above ground silver
• 1:12:53
than there is gold in the world, right?
• 1:12:55
Gold gets mined and people joke, say it gets stuck up out of the
• 1:12:59
ground and then gets put back in the ground in a vault,
• 1:13:02
basically. But you know, with silver being
• 1:13:04
consumed like it is, there's less of this above ground than
• 1:13:08
there is gold. And, you know, and to further
• 1:13:10
exacerbate the situation, the world's biggest silver producer,
• 1:13:15
Mexico, is becoming very unfriendly to mining companies,
• 1:13:19
which just makes the whole situation that we're in right
• 1:13:22
now with the silver supply deficit even more egregious.
• 1:13:29
Well, it's it may be good because they know we're so
• 1:13:33
supply and they want to hold their own silver.
• 1:13:38
That is what's going on. They want it in their own
• 1:13:41
country. There's not a lot of Mexican
• 1:13:42
libertads that actually make it across the borders.
• 1:13:46
They let out very few across the border.
• 1:13:49
You know, we have a couple. I mean, those are the other
• 1:13:51
things are hard to get the Mexican Libertads and there's
• 1:13:56
not a lot of supply out there because they don't want it out
• 1:13:59
of their own country and that's the fact.
• 1:14:03
I'm glad you brought that up. I've often wondered whenever I
• 1:14:06
see the Mexican you, nobody ever talks about the Mexican Libertad
• 1:14:09
but you. Just whenever you do see them,
• 1:14:13
  they're very expensive. Absolutely.
• 1:14:17
And that is why, because they're the hottest coin to get your
• 1:14:21
  hands on. I mean, they're they're the
• 1:14:23
hardest ones to get. And you know, I mean, it's you
• 1:14:28
don't see them every single day. We don't see them come in every
• 1:14:30
single day. We have a couple that come in,
• 1:14:33
people sell them and they're gone the next day.
• 1:14:35
Ron within the same. Sometimes we can get the process
• 1:14:38
through the computer fast enough we can get them out the same
• 1:14:40
day. But, you know, they're just, you
• 1:14:44
know, just something our bowling dealer does not really get that
• 1:14:48
many of it because everybody, not everybody wants them.
• 1:14:52
But, you know, there is enough people out there that want them
• 1:14:56
and they when we do get them, they're $5060 plus run at times.
• 1:15:01
Yeah, Yeah. And there's there's gonna be a.
• 1:15:04
Day there there, there. There's gonna be I, I mean, I am
• 1:15:07
like, this is my truth. Don't our viewers, we love you.
• 1:15:11
Thank you, guys. We're on a very Long live stream
• 1:15:13
here. Thank you to everyone who's
• 1:15:14
  joining us. Right.
• 1:15:16
But my truth is that there's going to be a day when when,
• 1:15:19
when there will be silver shortages.
• 1:15:21
I just believe that when I look at the big picture, when I look
• 1:15:24
at what's going on with Mexico, when I look at what's going on
• 1:15:28
with India, I mean, Chris, did you hear that Like this year
• 1:15:32
alone, this year, 2024, India's on pace to import somewhere
• 1:15:36
between 200 million and 250 million ounces of silver.
• 1:15:42
That's just India, folks. That's not, that's not counting
• 1:15:46
China. What's going on in China.
• 1:15:48
I mean, it's unbelievable what's happening out there in these
• 1:15:51
markets. Yeah, and it's gonna be, it's at
• 1:15:54
some point the Comex and the LBA will be out of business because
• 1:16:00
they're going to come to have a day and have a whole, they're
• 1:16:02
going to say this like, what the heck just happened?
• 1:16:05
We got nothing left. And when that day comes, it's
• 1:16:08
  going to implode. Ron.
• 1:16:10
I mean, you know, they're they want to control the price that,
• 1:16:14
you know, I'm going to use Ralphie Thorbus.
• 1:16:17
It's the end game. You know, if that's where we're
• 1:16:19
at, Ron, it, it's, it's getting so close.
• 1:16:22
When the LBMA and the crime acts, I like to call them the
• 1:16:26
bunch of clowns that work at both places.
• 1:16:28
They're going to have one day they're going to wake up and say
• 1:16:31
we don't have enough silver to meet the contracts.
• 1:16:35
And guess what? Your contracts will pay or get
• 1:16:37
paid in worthless dollars. Good luck then trying to find
• 1:16:42
your silver and gold. Good luck.
• 1:16:45
Yeah, it's a, it's interesting to think about as we, you know,
• 1:16:48
as we kind of move into these next five years and if we get
• 1:16:52
the silver price, I think $30 is, is really a big key, right.
• 1:16:57
And hopefully, hopefully here in the next two to three to four
• 1:17:00
months, we're going to establish a price level above $30.00 that
• 1:17:04
we're off to the races. I mean, silver was only above
• 1:17:07
$30.00 for a handful of years over the last 50 years of hand.
• 1:17:11
I mean it was, it was about 30 for a month or two.
• 1:17:14
It felt like in 2000 or 1980 and in 2011 it was maybe one or two
• 1:17:20
years going off to the races. But I think what people forget
• 1:17:23
to think about as well with that is, is when is when silver
• 1:17:26
continues. To me, that's all time high for
• 1:17:29
all intents and purposes, all time high territory, But there's
• 1:17:33
also this big short position and those shorts are going to need
• 1:17:36
to cover their, their, you know, it could be like a snowball when
• 1:17:40
we get above 30. And that's why I think the, the,
• 1:17:43
the manipulators are trying to keep silver below $30 now
• 1:17:46
because they know when it gets above that 303234 range, it'll
• 1:17:51
be like a snowball because you'll get more people retail
• 1:17:55
people coming into buy silver, which will overwhelm the market,
• 1:17:59
right, the physical market. But then to add fuel to that
• 1:18:03
fire will also have the shorts who will need to be covering
• 1:18:07
right? And and then when they see
• 1:18:08
silver hit $34 and then they wake up the next day and Oh my
• 1:18:12
gosh, silver's $38. I better cover my short.
• 1:18:15
That means they need to buy silver.
• 1:18:17
It could be it, it could be, it could be a short squeeze.
• 1:18:20
It could good, right? I could be wrong.
• 1:18:23
  It. Never happened.
• 1:18:25
But when you look at the fundamental underlying factors
• 1:18:29
that we've already talked about, the supply demand dynamics for
• 1:18:32
silver and then you add on top of that the manipulation that's
• 1:18:35
gone on in the markets, it's a lethal combination for what
• 1:18:39
could be an extraordinary increase in price.
• 1:18:43
No doubt in my mind, no doubt in my mind could be wrong, right?
• 1:18:47
I'm just silver pumper, right, Chris?
• 1:18:49
  But that's what. I think I, I, I don't believe
• 1:18:53
you're a silver pumper on. I think you're telling the
• 1:18:56
facts. You know what my price target
• 1:18:58
is. You know, we need to get back to
• 1:19:00
3250 where we were this year. I believe once it gets to 36,
• 1:19:05
it's going to be all over the news.
• 1:19:08
And at that point, we could see some crazy price action.
• 1:19:13
Yeah, I mean. And the and the and you know
• 1:19:16
what, Chris? What nobody wants to talk about.
• 1:19:19
I'll show you the big problem. OK, Go ahead.
• 1:19:21
Keep talking. Will you sing a song or
• 1:19:23
something while I do something in background?
• 1:19:24
  Cross Jingle Bells. I won't, I won't.
• 1:19:27
  I won't Jingle. Bells Jingle.
• 1:19:29
Bells Jingle. OK, we're almost there all the
• 1:19:32
way. Do you know we're not even in
• 1:19:34
September yet and you're singing Christmas songs?
• 1:19:36
Oh, what fun it is to ride in coin shop Chris's silver sleigh.
• 1:19:41
OK, can you see that? Did I pull pull up the US debt
• 1:19:44
clock onto the screen? Yes, I see it, Yeah.
• 1:19:46
OK, that's the problem, baby. That's the problem right there.
• 1:19:51
That that's the problem. And then if you go down a little
• 1:19:53
bit, follow my yellow, if you can see my yellow cursor, OK,
• 1:19:58
this is another massive problem that's just starting to get some
• 1:20:01
attention, right, that we are now spending more on interest on
• 1:20:05
our debt than we are on National Defense.
• 1:20:08
OK, think about that. That's a big.
• 1:20:12
Go ahead. We start to interrupt you, Ron.
• 1:20:13
We spent $1 billion worth of B in July in interest payments
• 1:20:19
that got added on to the national debt.
• 1:20:21
Well, I think it's more than that Chris cuz it right now here
• 1:20:24
interest on debt. Let's see what it says if you.
• 1:20:26
Go yes in July. Middle top, the interest on the
• 1:20:29
debt includes U.S. Treasury bonds, government and
• 1:20:31
others. Doesn't say if that's an annual.
• 1:20:34
I think no, this is an annual basis.
• 1:20:35
We're spending almost a trillion a year, Chris, on debt, on
• 1:20:39
interest on the debt. But you bring up a group which
• 1:20:42
is probably about 80 billion a month, but you bring up a great
• 1:20:45
point. And that is all that interest
• 1:20:47
payment that that goes directly into the debt, right, makes the
• 1:20:52
debt bigger, OK. And because interest rates are
• 1:20:55
going higher, that interest expense continues to grow.
• 1:20:58
Oh, but wait, there's more basement dwellers and that would
• 1:21:01
be that. Also because we run a massive
• 1:21:04
deficit, our governments just spends more than they bring in.
• 1:21:08
That also obviously adds to the national debt, which makes
• 1:21:11
people be less interested in owning the national debt, which
• 1:21:14
makes the interest rates go higher, which makes the interest
• 1:21:17
expense continue to go higher. It's what we like to call a debt
• 1:21:21
spiral. But let's shift gears here.
• 1:21:23
Coin shop, Chris. Oh, look here, the dollar to
• 1:21:26
silver ratio, this continues to go up.
• 1:21:29
Remember, Chris, not too long ago, that was at 0 when the M2
• 1:21:33
money supply was decreasing. Now for every ounce of silver
• 1:21:38
that's being produced this year being mined, there's 462 U.S.
• 1:21:43
dollars being added to the M2 money supply.
• 1:21:47
What does that tell us? Tells me that we better get more
• 1:21:52
silver. That's what it tells me.
• 1:21:54
I mean, you know, you always make great points wrong.
• 1:21:57
I mean, you know, it just takes, you know, I just don't want
• 1:22:00
anybody to get discouraged out there by looking at the pile I
• 1:22:03
got in front of you all do this today because I'm not trying to
• 1:22:08
say, oh, look what I got now this, this, I got to repeat this
• 1:22:11
wrong. This takes time to stack.
• 1:22:14
This is not overnight. This does not It takes so much
• 1:22:19
  time. You know, it's called
• 1:22:21
sacrifices. Not going out with friends every
• 1:22:23
Friday night, not going to Starbucks.
• 1:22:25
You know, I don't like Starbucks anyways.
• 1:22:27
But you know, not going to casinos, not going here, not
• 1:22:30
going there. We have to try to make.
• 1:22:33
That not, not not buying that new Barbie doll that comes out.
• 1:22:36
That's what each one of those quarters of silver Quarters
• 1:22:39
represents, skipping out on, you know, on a Barbie or, or, or
• 1:22:44
Starbucks or something else. You know, and not buying the
• 1:22:47
newest, latest cell phone that comes out every single year or
• 1:22:51
an Apple Watch that comes out every single year.
• 1:22:54
I mean, you know, these things last a while And, you know, you
• 1:22:58
don't have to keep up with your friends, your neighbors across
• 1:23:00
the street. They buy a new car every single
• 1:23:02
year. And you know, we have to make
• 1:23:05
the sacrifices. And that is how I've done it,
• 1:23:08
Ron. And again, not financial advice,
• 1:23:11
but you know it. You know I got people come in
• 1:23:14
Ron and and get 3 or 4 server Dimes every single paycheck.
• 1:23:22
And you know, you know what? Chris.
• 1:23:23
You know what, Chris? I got to interrupt you because
• 1:23:26
what you're, what you're talking about is so critical.
• 1:23:29
People ask me, how do you get rich?
• 1:23:30
It's easy to get rich, OK? It's what coin shop Chris just
• 1:23:34
talked about. You, you got to start with
• 1:23:37
number one, you got to, you got to, well, number one is get
• 1:23:40
yourself out of debt, OK? You got to start with number
• 1:23:43
one, consumer debt. You know, if you have a mortgage
• 1:23:45
and a low interest rate, whatever you got to get out of
• 1:23:47
debt #2 is you got to spend less than you make, OK?
• 1:23:51
And a lot of people have a hard time with that.
• 1:23:53
But if you're out of debt and you're spending less money than
• 1:23:57
you make, you're automatically rich, right?
• 1:24:00
  Because you're accumulating wealth everyday.
• 1:24:02
  And it's and it's and it's, I think it's, I think a lot of
• 1:24:05
people don't realize, and I've done this pretty much my whole
• 1:24:08
life because I've always been very frugal.
• 1:24:10
Or a tight wad or another assortment of names that yeah,
• 1:24:15
there's a whole range of names. Whatever.
• 1:24:18
No, I'm value oriented, right? My, my kids have, you know, my
• 1:24:22
kids have the latest and greatest Xbox.
• 1:24:24
They've got eBay. I mean, you know, I'll spend
• 1:24:25
money, but I'm value oriented. And then when it comes to
• 1:24:29
myself, what I've learned is like I, like you said, right,
• 1:24:33
it's OK to have a cell phone that was new two years ago
• 1:24:38
because guess what? You can buy it for like 30% of
• 1:24:41
the price that they sold it for two years ago.
• 1:24:45
And it's just as good as any other cell phone out there.
• 1:24:47
I think what, what people don't realize is that if you do make
• 1:24:50
these little, what you think are sacrifices, you wake up and
• 1:24:53
realize that, hey, you know what, I can live a notch down
• 1:24:58
what I thought was a notch down. And it's actually much nicer
• 1:25:00
because I'm not under in all this financial pressure.
• 1:25:03
And really, if I'm smart about it, if I use coupons, if I look
• 1:25:08
for good values, whatever, you know, life's actually much nicer
• 1:25:11
down here. And and then the third thing you
• 1:25:16
can do is once you are spending less than you make and you don't
• 1:25:19
have any debt, you can buy the timeless store of value silver
• 1:25:22
and gold. Did I lose you?
• 1:25:27
I got you back. You're absolutely.
• 1:25:29
You're absolutely right, Ron. You know, and that's how I've
• 1:25:33
done it wrong. And, you know, and people,
• 1:25:36
people ask me, well, how how do you have so much?
• 1:25:38
You know, how, how does the own have so much in inventory?
• 1:25:42
He made sacrifices, too, to build up his inventory of silver
• 1:25:46
that we have. I mean, you know, I mean, I got
• 1:25:49
people. Yeah, I got people that come in
• 1:25:51
Ron to buy 3-4, like I said, 3-4 Dimes or three, four quarters a
• 1:25:56
week if we had them in stock. They have house payments.
• 1:25:59
That's what they can afford. You know, I, I tell people on my
• 1:26:03
channel line, don't be ashamed to walk into any coin shop if
• 1:26:06
that's what you can afford to do.
• 1:26:08
And just get yourself a few times, a few silver cords.
• 1:26:12
Because you know what, I've thrown that bottle to you all
• 1:26:15
already that like I said, that took me about a year and a half,
• 1:26:18
almost maybe a year and three cords to fill that.
• 1:26:21
And that's $58 face value, a quarters to stack.
• 1:26:27
  Right, right. So right, right.
• 1:26:30
Coin trap, Chris, everyone, hopefully you can see it on your
• 1:26:34
screen. This is your YouTube channel,
• 1:26:37
Coin Shop Chris. I'll encourage everyone to go
• 1:26:41
subscribe. Chris is probably the fastest
• 1:26:43
growing YouTube channel right now in the gold and silver
• 1:26:47
  sector. Unbelievable accomplishment over
• 1:26:50
2000 Subs and getting a lot of views, but not some good quality
• 1:26:54
content. So guys, go out and and if you
• 1:26:57
haven't already, please subscribe to Coin Shop Chris.
• 1:27:00
We're going to go out the pin backs here as well.
• 1:27:02
You guess what? It's free to subscribe too.
• 1:27:05
It's free, that's right. It's free to subscribe to Ron's
• 1:27:08
basement. If you've not subscribed, please
• 1:27:10
do that as well. Let's get an update.
• 1:27:12
