- 0:15Speaker 1: Welcome back to grip Cast. We are going to be
- 0:17doing something. I don't think we've ever done this before.
- 0:20We're going back so we've read things before that was fun,
- 0:23and usually we don't go into the sequels or anything.
- 0:25This is the first time I think we've gone back
- 0:27into a series. I know people have wanted us to
- 0:29go back into the tales from the Gas Station series.
- 0:31People want us to finish the person, the thing in
- 0:34my basement, whatever, and all that stuff. But this was
- 0:36one that we were pretty excited and we've been talking
- 0:39to the author, Gabby, and she even gave us a
- 0:42little exclusive, so she just sweetened the pot.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah. So, if you'll remember, a while back, we read
- 0:48a story called let Me Get It Right. Every month,
- 0:53the parade would pass through my hometown, but we were
- 0:55never allowed to look at it. We read that story
- 0:58and it was pretty awesome. It was about a group
- 1:02of kids who there's a parade that passes through town
- 1:05and the parents tell all the kids they can't go outside,
- 1:07and then a group of them sneak out and it
- 1:09seems to be we never see what it is, but
- 1:10seems to be a sort of sacrifice. Saying that the
- 1:13kids inducted into It's like this small town has to
- 1:16appease some ancient deity. Very cool. We also read two
- 1:19other stories from her in that same episode, one of
- 1:22which is the most up voted story on No Sleep.
- 1:25My Sugar Daddy asked me for weird favors, and she
- 1:29wrote the story about the guy who follows me everywhere,
- 1:32about the guy that turns around just counts down. And
- 1:34we read another one of her stories about if you
- 1:37see me, please kill me, about the girl who had
- 1:39the boyfriend who slowly became her. So every recording, yes
- 1:44and more recent recording, everything we've read from Gabby's been awesome,
- 1:47and everyone who has read the rest of her stuff
- 1:51has been like, guys, you liked the first part of
- 1:54the Point Pine series, the one about the parade, you
- 1:57have to read the rest of it. Well. The reason
- 1:59that's what we're gonna do.
- 2:00Speaker 1: The reason that we're even diving back into this too,
- 2:01is that the Patreon was they were like, you should
- 2:03read the rest of.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we had we had a poll on Patreon, what
- 2:06you what like series you wanted to see while we're
- 2:08recording in person, and overwhelmingly Point Pine one and no
- 2:12one wanted to see the rest of Point Pine, so
- 2:13it reached out to Gabby, and Gabby sent us you
- 2:16know the whole series, said we could read it, and
- 2:19she gave us another Point Pine entry she's never posted,
- 2:22called the History of Point Pine. So I'm pretty excited.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Well, the first one we're reading today is every thirteenth
- 2:29of the month, a new apartment Piers my building. Guys,
- 2:32if you're listening on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, please give
- 2:35us a nice rating there or consider listening there. It
- 2:37does help us out. And also, you know, to our patrons,
- 2:41thank you for voting on this for our read today.
- 2:43And also if you're looking to get some extra content
- 2:45and also support the channel, please consider signing up to
- 2:49the Patreon. It does help us out.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And also Gabby Her Reddit profile name is E A
- 2:56P A t BP. I have no idea what that
- 3:00means for how to pronounce it, but it'll be linked
- 3:01in the description. You can read all of her stories.
- 3:03We're obviously very grateful for her being so cool and
- 3:06giving us exclusive content like this, so as always but
- 3:09especially now, be sure to support the artist. So let's
- 3:13do it. Let's get into it. Are you ready to begin?
- 3:15It's been a while since we've done a long series
- 3:17like this.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I know these are usually not I
- 3:21wouldn't say bite size stories, but they're like little quick
- 3:24hits that that kind of come in and out real quick,
- 3:28like little little fun vignettes. But there are I think
- 3:32we're reading like eight or nine of them, so I
- 3:34think eight.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure. Trap in, trap In. Let's begin. Every
- 3:39thirteenth of the month, a new apartment appears in my building.
- 3:43And here did Point pine Oaks for my grandfather after
- 3:46my father wanted nothing to do with it. I, on
- 3:49the other hand, was broke and in need of a
- 3:51place to stay and a job, and well, beggars can't
- 3:54be choosers. So that's the answer to the question that
- 3:57I get asked any time that I'm out and about
- 3:59on the street of our town.
- 4:00Speaker 1: How on earth did you get stuck with that place?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Everyone can see what Point pine Oaks is, which is
- 4:06an apartment building that is six stories tall with twelve
- 4:09apartments on each floor. The outside of the building looks
- 4:12pretty normal. It's just a brick building at the end
- 4:15of a briar road, which is a cul de sac
- 4:18that contains no other buildings on the street except for
- 4:21Point Pine Oaks. My grandfather bought the building in late
- 4:25twenty thirteen. It had been abandoned for over three decades
- 4:28and the town was eager for someone to buy it.
- 4:31It became his passion project, and he fixed up in
- 4:34January of twenty fourteen, and the building soon became the
- 4:38biggest apartment building in all of Point Pine. Any resident
- 4:42of Point Pine knows that the Oaks are anything but normal. However, starters,
- 4:47no one ever decides to move in. If people want
- 4:50an apartment, they have to go all the way to
- 4:52the opposite side of town where the apartment complex is.
- 4:56You see, people don't move into the Oaks. It just
- 4:59kind of Every thirteenth of the month, a new apartment
- 5:03appears until each floor has twelve rooms, and then the
- 5:07following year a new floor appears to commentate the next
- 5:10twelve apartments. Oh, and I suppose I should also mention
- 5:14none of the residents are human, at least not normal
- 5:18living humans. My grandfather made it very clear to me
- 5:22that humans do not live in Point Pine Oaks, with
- 5:25the exception of the owner, which is now me. He
- 5:28never explained to me why humans are not allowed in
- 5:30the oaks, and I never really asked because it just
- 5:33felt like the kind of rule that you follow without
- 5:35asking any questions.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Seems like a kind of story. We're leaning into the
- 5:38tills to the gas station, We're leaning into the vampire hotel.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I think so, given that our first story in the
- 5:47series was about a child whose parents had a role
- 5:51for them, if I had guess every point pint Entry
- 5:54is going to be from a different point of view
- 5:55in the town.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Is it going to be in the town or is
- 5:58it going to be in the apartment complex of town?
- 6:00Speaker 2: Because the first one had nothing to do with the
- 6:01apartment cause.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I thought the first one was a house.
- 6:04Speaker 2: No, the first one was kids at school who snuck
- 6:06out to see the parade.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I thought it was them looking at the I thought
- 6:09it was them looking at the parade from their house.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I can't remember. No, they run over to the side
- 6:12of the bank and they lay down and they all
- 6:15close their eyes, but one of them looks and they
- 6:17all come over and take the kid. Yeah. So I imagine
- 6:22each story in the series is going to be from
- 6:24a different kids point of view.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Right, that makes sense? What the fuck is the the
- 6:29West Side? Not West side stories, but it's like the
- 6:31by the.
- 6:32Speaker 2: School wayside upside down sidewayside school for whatever, sideways stories
- 6:37from wayside schooling like that kind of like that vibe. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:40that's cool. Yeah, it's a different perspective.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I only know children literature, but yeah, I know I
- 6:45can reference children's literature. Wish I had something else, but
- 6:48sadly I don't.
- 6:49Speaker 2: But there's another there's another horror story that follows that
- 6:52same convention. I can't think of. There's a curely infrequency,
- 6:56but there's some TV show where it's like the same setting,
- 6:59different perspectives throughout anyway. The entire first floor houses people
- 7:03who have died outside of the town. You see, anytime
- 7:06a prior resident of Point Pine dies, they wake up
- 7:09again here Point Pine. Usually they're putting some secluded house
- 7:14up in the mountains, but for reasons unknown, they all
- 7:17ended up here at the Point Pine Oaks in twenty fourteen.
- 7:20The second floor houses the creatures with the eyes that
- 7:24two wide, teeth that are too sharp, in skin that
- 7:27is too green. They first appeared in Point Pine in
- 7:30twenty fifteen and have been in charge of the farmer's
- 7:32market since they're relatively nice and tend to mind their
- 7:36own business. But that doesn't mean that they don't still
- 7:39freak me out every time I see them in the building.
- 7:41They're incredibly long, arms dragging the floor on the third
- 7:45floors where the collectors live. The leader of the collectors
- 7:48is a ten year old Mary Lou Birmingham. Mary Lou
- 7:52is the one who collects children's teeth. Of course, she
- 7:55doesn't take them right out of their mouths, that would
- 7:57be horrifying. She sneaks into their homes after their baby
- 8:01teeth fall out and takes them from under their pillows instead,
- 8:04like the tooth Fairy. Most of the collectors or children,
- 8:08with the exception of old Man Jones, who was an
- 8:10old man as the name wouldn't do.
- 8:14Speaker 1: We piached that one together.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I've figured that one out, thank you. Some of
- 8:18the children collect dead bucks, others collect less unsettling things
- 8:22like flowers, but some collected dirt from graves. Cemetery on
- 8:26the fourth floor live all the people who died in
- 8:28twenty seventeen with the bell tower appeared in Windsor Park.
- 8:33No one ever figured out what the deal was with
- 8:35that bell tower, but exactly twelve people died that year
- 8:38as soon as they saw it. Once the people of
- 8:40Point Pine picked up on the pattern stopped going into
- 8:42Windsor Park. Of course, after that the bell on the
- 8:46tower would just ring every month and still manage to
- 8:49kill more people. But that's a different story.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I like to think too that, uh, if this is
- 8:54the first entry of the story, it'd be kind of
- 8:57cool if that was what was setting up every story.
- 9:00You know, like.
- 9:01Speaker 2: All the rest of her part got mentioned in the
- 9:04first one.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Oh maybe, I mean, don't ask me. I can't remember anything,
- 9:09but I will say like using this as like a
- 9:11fun catalyst of being like, here's all these interesting people
- 9:14that live in this apartment, and then now every other
- 9:16story subsequently afterwards is going to be the happening to
- 9:21why those people died and showed up here. That'd be
- 9:23kind of fun.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Well, it might be that she made the first story
- 9:29the parade one. I just used Point Pine as a
- 9:32filler name, and then everyone was like, this is great,
- 9:35you should write more in there, Harry.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Was point the first Point Pine thing that we read?
- 9:38Was it the parade was the first story? But was
- 9:41that the first first story of it? Or is the
- 9:43or is the apartment building the first story that the
- 9:46Prade is the first The Parade is the first story.
- 9:49Speaker 3: The series, because she's we read other story, like shorter
- 9:52stories from her that.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Weren't part of the Point Pine series.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but she was saying, so the the Parade was
- 10:00the first story, and then we're gonna go back and
- 10:03read all the ones that are like in that kind
- 10:05of world, and then so I have them laid out
- 10:07in the sheet in order from the author of like
- 10:09how it should go, plus the bonus story at the
- 10:12end that.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but the what might have happened is
- 10:19that first story she made point Bums just to fill
- 10:22her name and everyone's like, this is awesome, you should
- 10:24write more there. She's like, all right, I'll make a series,
- 10:26and this is like it's the second entry, but it's
- 10:28the kick off to the series by all this extra lore.
- 10:31But I almost feel like Windsor Park's familiar.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Why don't I why don't we ask her editor put
- 10:35it up?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Who would have thought I wouldn't because I don't know
- 10:49yet because that's in the future. Well, but yeah, we can.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It just popped after that.
- 10:52Speaker 2: But the when the post goes up and be in
- 10:54the past for me, but it's currently in the future. Yeah,
- 10:56well made that median point in time. Who would have
- 10:59thought on the fifth floor are the invisible vampires, but
- 11:04we don't talk about them?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Well, all right, I like invisible vampire, your invisible Andrew vampire.
- 11:11That's a deadly combo.
- 11:12Speaker 2: That's a rough thing. That's a problem. The sixth floor
- 11:16appeared this year, and so far the tenants of that
- 11:19floor were not of one specific species, and they don't
- 11:22seem to have anything in common. First family to appear
- 11:25is in no mouths and communicate by somehow talking inside
- 11:28my head. February, one of the sacrifices from the Point
- 11:32Pine Parade showed up March. It was a headless man.
- 11:35April brought a family of cookies.
- 11:40Speaker 1: So what do you say, cookies, cookies, coop.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Cookieshuck cuck cucks.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I don't fucking know, dude.
- 11:51Speaker 2: April brought a family of kokies that almost gave me
- 11:53a heart attack the first time I saw them.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's a uh el Kukui is a mythical shape shifting
- 11:59boogeyman and Spanish and Latin American folklore used to scare
- 12:02children too behaving or sleeping. Oh, of course, not sure
- 12:05if that's the it's also pronounced Coco as well.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I don't know if that's the cocu coke just Coco.
- 12:12That's what a millisecond Google search it did. But I
- 12:17have no idea.
- 12:17Speaker 2: April brought a family of cocoas that almost gave me
- 12:20a heart attack the first time that I saw them.
- 12:23They were by far the most horrifying residents of the building.
- 12:25They're huge red eyes that rattled around in their skulls.
- 12:29They're decane black skin that was crawling with maggots. Upon
- 12:32opening their mouths, the building shook with a horrible screeching
- 12:36sound that was like nails on a chalkboard at six
- 12:38percent volume.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Sounds like Lee Cronin's The Mummy. Does that not literally
- 12:45sound like Lee Cronin's The Mummy so loud?
- 12:48Speaker 2: Gosh?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Also the rattling, the dead skin.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Lee Cronan's The Mummy, Lee Cronan's The Point Pine Place.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Don't break came into.
- 13:00Speaker 3: This like the.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Cronins The Mummy. If you didn't, if you didn't attach
- 13:13the Mummy to it, I would have believed. Well, I
- 13:15guess I still couldn't. I just if it was if
- 13:17it was like this is a random town. This is
- 13:18a ritual they do. I'd be like, they probably took
- 13:20this from a crepypasta, because yeah, it did. It did
- 13:22have a creepypasta vibe to you. Lee Cronin's the Creepy Pasta.
- 13:27Lee Cronin's the Creepy Basta put in a very put
- 13:31a put in a very loud sound effect.
- 13:36Speaker 4: The Cronan is the creep cast.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Don't bring him into this. In May, a seemingly more
- 13:50normal looking family moved in, which terrified me just a
- 13:52bit more than the cuckoos had until they invited me
- 13:56to dinner and I watched their lower jaws drop to
- 13:59their shoulders as each one ate an entire raw chicken
- 14:02in one bite. June brought a demon who would routinely
- 14:04set fires in the building, but other than that it
- 14:07appeared to stay out of everyone else's way. Last month
- 14:10brought the window goes, which was which were by far
- 14:14the hardest to deal with. We had to come up
- 14:15with an agreement that they would only eat the undead
- 14:18folks on the first floor, since they would just wake
- 14:21up in their apartments again the next day, and therefore
- 14:23they wouldn't technically be hurt at anybody today. The new
- 14:27apartment didn't appear until noon. This was odd because they
- 14:30usually appear right at the midnight. On the thirteenth, stood
- 14:34on the sixth floor, staring at the empty wall until
- 14:36a door suddenly appeared, apartment number sixty eight.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I took a few deep.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Breaths to prepare myself for whatever hideous monster would answer
- 14:44the door, and then lifted my hand and knock. Coming,
- 14:48We called from inside. I heard footsteps approach, and then
- 14:50the door opened up in front of me.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Hi.
- 14:52Speaker 2: There was a woman standing in the apartment. She looked
- 14:55normal enough, all in blonde, with the tattoo of a
- 14:58rose on her left forearm.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Hi, I'm the owner of this building, the landlord. My
- 15:03name is Eric.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Extended my hand out, bracing myself for some sort of
- 15:07heat or coldness or shock.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm Gwen, nice to meet you.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Shook my hand with a strong grip. It was a
- 15:13normal handshake, but I wasn't gonna relax just yet. I
- 15:16needed to give it a few minutes to know what
- 15:18exactly these new residents were.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Oh, come in, I'll introduce you to my family.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Slowly followed her into the apartment, looked around. Seemed pretty normal,
- 15:27and again, all the apartments seem normal. It's things that
- 15:29live inside that aren't normal. Hey, guys, come out here,
- 15:32Gwyn called into the apartment.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Would you like some water? Oh? No, thanks.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I turned at the sound of footsteps to see two
- 15:38kids and another woman walk out into the kitchen.
- 15:41Speaker 1: This is my wife, Laura and our kids, Kimberly and Christopher.
- 15:44Speaker 6: Nice to meet you.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Laura stuck her hand out and I shook it again.
- 15:49It was normal.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm Eric, the owner of the building. Nice to meet you.
- 15:53Speaker 2: There's a brief moment of awkward silence.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So do you have any questions?
- 15:58Speaker 2: Kids took off there with Gwyn and Laura.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, So what are the rules? Are we allowed to,
- 16:04you know, paint the walls and hang stuff up? Oh yeah,
- 16:06I mean you can decorate this place. How are you want? Awesome? So,
- 16:10if you don't mind me asking, what are you? Excuse me,
- 16:16what are you I mean? I don't mean to be
- 16:17offensive anything, I just like to know.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Laura Gwenn exchanged looks.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Like lesbians, are you allowed to ask that?
- 16:24Speaker 2: When asked, narrowing her eyebrows, no.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I mean, like, what are you? I know you're not human?
- 16:31Eric is either extremely based or.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Lee Cronin's the Eric Stigma Sigma edit like no, but
- 16:43like I know you're not human?
- 16:44Speaker 1: No, I mean I don't care. I'm just saying it.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Are you guys? Like?
- 16:46Speaker 1: What bug people?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Now? The Yeah?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Lee Cronin's the lesbians.
- 16:51Speaker 3: This is an average conversation that I have on every day.
- 16:54Speaker 1: And then I step out of the super U and
- 17:00how they're gonna say this is an average conversation, Nick Hause?
- 17:02Every day? Are you people?
- 17:07Speaker 2: Laura laughed?
- 17:08Speaker 1: Not human? What do you think we are? Like mythical creatures?
- 17:10Speaker 4: Well?
- 17:10Speaker 1: I don't know. That's why I'm asking. I mean, your
- 17:13neighbors are wind to Goes and there's a family of
- 17:15Coco's down the hall. Is this some kind a joke?
- 17:18Is because we're new? No? Well then we're just regular humans.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I stared at them.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Haven't you ever seen a human before? Not a regular one,
- 17:29at least not in this building. Okay, now you're freaking
- 17:32me out. Do you not know where you are? Well? Sure,
- 17:35we're in Colorado? Right, No, this isn't Colorado. What do
- 17:40you mean?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Where are we?
- 17:41Speaker 7: Then?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Point Pine? Where you're in? Point Pine? It's a small
- 17:47town in the middle of nowhere. Do you think it's
- 17:49people that don't know that they're dead yet.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Could be people that don't know that they're dead, beetle,
- 17:53It could be a teleport thing, yea.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway, Ew McGregor, movie guys, our house, our street,
- 18:04our neighborhood. I have to keep explaining being easy gone, to.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Keep explaining the references and running with a dinosaur last night.
- 18:15Last night we went to go see The Mummy.
- 18:16Speaker 1: We take.
- 18:19Speaker 2: The Mummy and it was awful. It's terrible. Uh. And
- 18:24we did put up a we put a video on
- 18:26Patreon of us like it was.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So bad that we recorded us talk.
- 18:29Speaker 2: It's like forty minutes of me and Hunter talking about
- 18:31how bad the movie. Yeah, so if you want to
- 18:34pay money for that, it's on the page.
- 18:37Speaker 1: That wasn't really that's just more so we didn't know
- 18:38where else to put it.
- 18:39Speaker 2: That that's Catharsis for us. But it was so bad.
- 18:44That's why he keeps saying Lee Cronin's the blank.
- 18:47Speaker 8: Uh.
- 18:47Speaker 2: And also there was a trailer before it. If I
- 18:50kid you not you and McGregor and Anne Hathaway, whose
- 18:54street is teleported to a dinosaur land? Yeah, it's it's
- 18:58a normal American suburb, but there's dinosaurs.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Now, Oh my god. I thought all of the trailers
- 19:10looked so bad.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Which, honestly, which hold on that one can be can't
- 19:15be fine?
- 19:15Speaker 1: The potential to have a street telephone at.
- 19:17Speaker 2: The dinosaur landers. How are they going to play? You know?
- 19:20The problem with Lee cronin the moment. I mean there's
- 19:22a lot of problems, but a problem was it did
- 19:25not know what it was. It was far too serious
- 19:27for the campiness of the story and stuff like that.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that it was trying to do like
- 19:30a Evil Dead two black comedy thing. But the thing
- 19:33with Evil Dead two is that it's like slapstick with.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Ashes and black comedy.
- 19:36Speaker 1: But no, that's what I'm saying. I think that like it.
- 19:39Speaker 2: It should have been yeah, yeah, or like the original
- 19:42Mommy the Brendan Fraser won that movie knew what it was.
- 19:44Speaker 1: That's that's I would say, that's like a I would
- 19:45say that's like a horror comedy.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. But when it wants to be funny, it
- 19:49knows what it's doing with Like it's like.
- 19:52Speaker 1: The trailers, this is gonna sorry to derail this. With
- 19:55the trailers to this were so bad. I seriously believe it.
- 20:00I seriously believe The Past the Passenger looks like one
- 20:02of the worst movies.
- 20:04Speaker 2: It probably will be let me finish my thought.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Not of all time, but like The Year or whatever.
- 20:08Speaker 2: The Dinosaur one. There's no way that film takes itself
- 20:12too seriously one hundred percent does There's no one hundred
- 20:16percent because if it because you Jurassic part doesn't take
- 20:19any halfway.
- 20:21Speaker 1: If it was an halfway, Mark Wahlberg, I would agree, Okay,
- 20:24and hathway E McGregor. They're playing they're playing that to
- 20:26be like, these are serious, these are actors.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be this whole story about family too.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, do me wrong. It's not gonna be It's
- 20:34not gonna be a grizzly it's not gonna be a
- 20:36grizzly horror. Yeah, but I do believe it's going to
- 20:40They're gonna try to do like a like a less
- 20:43comp like because Jurassic Park had was kind of campy
- 20:45and fun.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Knew what it was.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not gonna be that. I don't think
- 20:49it'll be that.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I think I think it'll least match Tripp.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I think they're going to try to be scary.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Even Jurassic World, they still knew what they were with
- 20:56all the dramatic shots and like action segments and stuff like.
- 20:59Speaker 1: That squirrel that.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I didn't like any of the sequels, but the first
- 21:03Drassic World like it. It was fun. What it wanted
- 21:05to be.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I ala know is the passenger I editor put up
- 21:09is the passenger A is that a creepy that? That's
- 21:12that is a creepy pastum that has to.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Be a well, yeah, it's the old story of the
- 21:16hitchhiker in the passenger seat you're driving a loan and
- 21:18well that's why at first I was like, oh my god,
- 21:20you see him doing that?
- 21:21Speaker 1: At first, at first I was like, oh my god,
- 21:23is this a fucking left right game movie. That's what
- 21:25I thought when I first saw it. Because the whole thing,
- 21:28too is like, oh, don't look at him. Yeah right,
- 21:30And so then the whole thing is that it keeps
- 21:31doing the repeat. Yeah. I was like, oh, I actually hype.
- 21:35For a second, I was like, oh damn. And then
- 21:37it and then it cuts to the and then the
- 21:42third he does. Also, I hate that every fucking horror
- 21:46movie trailer. People are just screaming. Yeah, that's old is
- 21:51all of them? Can there not be any That's why
- 21:54That's why sometimes I have a cane pixels the background
- 21:57and you're like, oh, I have a good feeling about
- 21:59this this trailer whenever it's it's like, oh, it's a
- 22:01horror film, but it's uh, it's not just screaming at
- 22:04my face the whole time. Also, I about lost my
- 22:07fucking mind when that old bitchum and Cidious popped up
- 22:09in that trailer.
- 22:10Speaker 7: I was like, oh God, you have a gift.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You're like, yeah, there.
- 22:16Speaker 2: There's the trailer for a horror movie. And it was like,
- 22:19what's this is? Like kind of a ghost family and
- 22:21then the Insidious like medium pops up. It's like all right.
- 22:24Speaker 1: As soon as I saw it from James Wall or
- 22:26from Jason Bloom and James Wand I was like, oh fuck.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Well, that's just well at the end of the League
- 22:32Cronin's the Mummy. That showing up in the credits was
- 22:36the most sense the night had made.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Dude, Well, yeah, when I have to sit through the
- 22:40seventy five minute long intro that Bloomhouse makes you sit
- 22:42through that getting up other films goes to Egypt. That's
- 22:45how I knew that Blomhouse is horrible. That's the worst.
- 22:48Speaker 6: It's just them, our fucking bops.
- 22:51Speaker 1: That's Jason Bloom basically taking a giant mirror putting up
- 22:54on the wall and he's just jacking off and coming
- 22:56all over the mirror. I think, uh, that I'm Jason.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I think early in the studio there's a I liked
- 23:02the first Insidious when it came out, I thought it
- 23:04was fine. It's when it became a million sequels I
- 23:07was like.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's hard to it's hard to look back with anything
- 23:11in hindsight. Now with what has happened, I know, I
- 23:13get it, you know, so it is what it is? Also,
- 23:18all right, we got it?
- 23:19Speaker 2: Point Pine.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Laura ran to the window in the living room and
- 23:23pulled the curtains back in gas what is it? When
- 23:26asked turning around. Their window had a view of some
- 23:29of the buildings in the town below, along with a
- 23:32giant sign right outside Welcome to Point Pine. Population unknown.
- 23:38Speaker 1: All right, I don't understand, Yeah, me neither. How do
- 23:42we get here?
- 23:43Speaker 2: I shruggs.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I don't really know how people get here? They sort
- 23:46of just show up? Okay, then how do we get
- 23:49to Colorado.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Or asked, backing away from the window. You don't.
- 23:54Speaker 1: What do you mean, can't willingly leave Point Pine? Once
- 23:58you're here, everyone who leaves gets and even then when
- 24:02you die out there, you just wake up and you're
- 24:04stuck here again.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Win inside and Laura ran her hands through her black hair.
- 24:08Speaker 1: So you don't know why we're here, shook my head.
- 24:11But if you really are just human, then this can't
- 24:14be good.
- 24:15Speaker 2: After a few minutes of silence, I left the apartment
- 24:17and decided to go outside and get some fresh air.
- 24:20Just all right, I'll leave them with that. That didn't
- 24:22come to whatever conclusion they.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Well, I must be on my way.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I stepped onto the elevator and pressed the button to
- 24:28the first floor, got off and made my way down
- 24:30to the doors, stopping as I reached out to open it.
- 24:33I looked down at the watch on my wrist. Still noon,
- 24:36But that wasn't possible. I've been up in the apartment
- 24:39for at least twenty minutes. But that wasn't the only
- 24:43thing that was wrong. It was pitch black outside. Couldn't
- 24:47even see the sidewalk right outside the door or giant
- 24:50tree that was a few feet in front of the building.
- 24:53I pressed my forehead against the glass, squinty to see
- 24:55if I could make out something in the darkness. Suddenly,
- 24:58someone crashed right in to the glass, causing me to
- 25:01jump back at least a few feet.
- 25:03Speaker 1: In fright, really shit, Hey over the door.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I walked closer and realized that I recognized the person
- 25:09who was outside. It was Lee. Everyone knew who he
- 25:12was since he had lost his eyes to the point
- 25:14Pine Parade years ago.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Lee over the Door.
- 25:18Speaker 2: I guarantee you Lee was the kid from the first
- 25:21one because I can't remember what happened to him, if
- 25:23his eyes got taken or if he was taken away,
- 25:25but I guess he lived and his eyes were just
- 25:27oh yeah, yeah yeah, Lee.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Cronin's now the Lee.
- 25:33Speaker 1: No, it's time to talk about something scary, your health.
- 25:38I know I don't go in the doctor as much

- 28:44I heard that he had gotten his eyes back at
- 28:46the farmer's market, And now are those of my eyes?
- 28:53Not that I can see them? And now that I
- 28:57was seeing him, I could see that it was true.
- 29:00I have to open the door, but it was stuck.
- 29:01I tried again, pulling on the door as hard as
- 29:03I could, but it didn't budge it stuck. Suddenly, Lee
- 29:07went flying backward, and I watched, and the darkness lifted
- 29:10and the sun came out again. Looked down in my
- 29:13watch again, still noon. When I looked back up, I
- 29:16found myself standing in the hallway of the sixth floor again.
- 29:19His apartment number sixty eight appeared in front of me
- 29:22once again. Reached out and knocked coman. We called from inside.
- 29:28Footsteps approached, and then the door opened up in front
- 29:30of me.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Hi, Gwen, Yeah, who are you? Uh?
- 29:36Speaker 2: Eric?
- 29:36Speaker 1: We just spoke. I'm sorry you must have made confused
- 29:40or someone else.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I didn't reply, staring into the apartment of Lore and
- 29:44the kids came out. That was at least an hour ago.
- 29:48But the same chain of events keeps repeating every few minutes,
- 29:51and the time has not moved past noon. I don't
- 29:54know how to undo it. I don't even know what
- 29:56it is. I'm pretty sure I know what's causing it.
- 29:59Though humans shouldn't live in Point Pine Oaks. Cool.
- 30:05Speaker 1: All right, that's the first one. So what do you
- 30:06think that loop.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Is for them? I think that people aren't supposed to
- 30:10be there. It's a supernatural you know, hotel effectively.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Sure, but they definitely were put there.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yes, something put them there, something went wrong, And I
- 30:18think it may coincide with the guy running to the
- 30:20door and something. There's like a darkness over the town.
- 30:23Maybe lead at something he's not supposed to announce, some
- 30:25entity spoiling him back. Maybe that that glitch caused people
- 30:29to appear in the new hotel room or something like that.
- 30:33I like to tie into the parade earlier.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like it was not very invasive. If
- 30:39you've never read the Parade one, you still weren't yeah lost.
- 30:42Speaker 2: It's not beating you over the head with like, oh,
- 30:44you have to go read this one. Yeah, I agree.
- 30:47I like that one.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Hopefully we see Eric again. I like to know what
- 30:50how Eric? Because Eric's just a regular guy.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Right, uh yeah, to an extent, he's a regular guy
- 30:57who lives in a supernatural Yeah. Yeah, Like I said before,
- 30:59he starts like adult gravity falls.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh. I will say this would have felt a
- 31:05big campier compared to the first one. I thought the
- 31:07first one was a lot more like the parades coming.
- 31:09Don't fucking look at it, you know, this one's very
- 31:12much just like.
- 31:12Speaker 9: There's ghouls, dragons and goblins walking around we're all pals.
- 31:16Speaker 1: You know, they creep me out, but it is what
- 31:17it is, and then truly starts, Yeah, I know you despise.
- 31:22How many times have you said that in your life?
- 31:26You just I looked at the camera in the viewer.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Lee Cronin's The Lesbians.
- 31:35Speaker 2: That actually, I honestly I would go see c lesbians.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Lee Cronan's The Lesbians either just back in Cairo again,
- 31:45they're in Egypt. What the hell is this? They're just
- 31:51throwing up and like there's fucking pus and everything everywhere.
- 31:55It was like one of the grossest movies I've seen.
- 31:58Maybe not one of the grossest, but I was just
- 31:59like needlessly or like, oh my god, come on. It
- 32:02was assault on the senses. It was so loud. It
- 32:05was just not nice to look out lesbian like shitting
- 32:08on the floor and then crawling like punching through the
- 32:11floorboards and crawling out from the room.
- 32:14Speaker 3: I I I'm willing to believe that not everyone would
- 32:18have seen it, but they should have at least had
- 32:20one person spot her coming.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Through the thing? Was there not one?
- 32:23Speaker 3: There's just no way in a quiet Yeah, do you
- 32:26see something come through the ceiling?
- 32:28Speaker 8: All out?
- 32:29Speaker 1: Of context. You know what, though, I'm glad that it's
- 32:31gonna be like, what are they actually do you think
- 32:33that we're making it more We're making it more appealing
- 32:37to go see Lee Cronin's The Mummy, So you know
- 32:39what we're talking about.
- 32:40Speaker 3: The Patreon video will be out before this comes out.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well that not everybody who watches this as
- 32:44a patron I'm saying. I'm saying that people a gonna
- 32:46be like little girl crawling through the floorboard. What are
- 32:49you talking like that kind of thing.
- 32:52Speaker 2: No, I think they're gonna be like the movie is bad,
- 32:55got it, We'll see.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I wouldn't sell Lee Crones the I bet you there's
- 32:59gonna be get Yes, I could actually end up watching
- 33:01Lee Cronin's The Mummy because the podcast and uh yeah
- 33:05those guys, those guys were right, or you're actually actually
- 33:08more realistically because it's a YouTube comments it was not bad.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it be that it was scary. I actually liked
- 33:14it better than like all the other movies.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I couldn't believe how bad the dad actor was.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he's in some other stuff I've seen. It's The
- 33:22midsummer Yep, Yeah, you're right, which.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Also I want to tell you a story off camera.
- 33:31I guess just added you can cut it.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Interesting, all right.
- 33:40Speaker 1: There's a new guy in town. We don't like him.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Yep, next entry, new guy in town. We don't like him.
- 33:45Speaker 1: How you doing, Isaiah?
- 33:47Speaker 2: Doing good anything? We don't really know when he got here.
- 34:05He was just here this morning, although I guess he
- 34:07could have gotten here sometime last night or even earlier today.
- 34:10But of course we wouldn't know since we don't wake
- 34:13up until eight thirteen am. I guess if he got
- 34:16here before then, he would have snucked in unnoticed. We
- 34:20don't like him. I can't speak for everybody, but everyone
- 34:23I have spoken to would agree. We aren't too fond
- 34:26of strangers popping in out of the blue makes us nervous.
- 34:30How did he find us? We don't know why he's here,
- 34:33although I've heard that he's been claiming that he's from here. Still,
- 34:37he's been out there in the outside world for way
- 34:40too long, new to us, even if we aren't new
- 34:43to him. I heard someone say that his name was Cody.
- 34:48I don't know anyone named Cody, and I've lived here
- 34:50for over ten years. Cody is hyperlinked. What happens when
- 34:53you click on it, oh, it takes you back to
- 34:56the first one. Was Cody one of the characters in
- 34:59the there Cody Cody, I mean, I'm just scrolling. Lee
- 35:07was the person in that story I see who looked. Oh,
- 35:11Cody was the protagonist from that first story. It seems
- 35:15like yeah, because they're saying, look at us, Cody, do
- 35:17what I thought his name was Eric.
- 35:19Speaker 3: I thought, well, yeah, he's right. Cody is the protagonist,
- 35:21I think. And then he went out with some friends
- 35:23and Eric, well.
- 35:24Speaker 2: The parade story Okay, sorry, yeah, Cody, Lee, Cody and
- 35:28his friends went out. Cody was the one writing the
- 35:29first story. Lee was the one who looked and as
- 35:32we saw, got his eyes taken.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So what happened is he probably left and now he
- 35:36came back to Point Pine and people are like, I don't.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Know you from here? Yep, oh yeah, okay. At the end,
- 35:43he says, uh, minutes after we left, my parents acted
- 35:47like Point Pine never existed. So the story ends with
- 35:49his parents getting him out there because he saw the parade. Yeah,
- 35:52I see you. Now he's come back. Later on, I
- 35:53got it. I first saw him while I was on
- 35:56my morning run. He was walking up briar Road that
- 36:00leads to the Point pine Oaks, and I stopped for
- 36:02a second watching him. That's how I knew he wasn't
- 36:05from here. Anyone who's from here would know that Point
- 36:08pine Oaks has been stuck in a time loop for
- 36:09the past four months. I'd also know that the Point
- 36:13pine Oaks doesn't take guests, at least not guess would
- 36:16walk in and ask for a room. That's so funny.
- 36:18It's like anyone's from here knows about the time to Storch.
- 36:21Speaker 1: That's kind of fun though.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I stood on the corner until he walked back down
- 36:25the road.
- 36:26Speaker 1: What are you doing that didn't used to be here?
- 36:28Speaker 2: A gesture towards the Oaks.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm assuming it's not a normal.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Apartment building, you said, walking closer to me, right.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I'm looking for someone. Think you can help me.
- 36:39Speaker 2: I looked around the empty street.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I don't know you. Yeah, I haven't been back here
- 36:44in fifteen years. Fifteen years, gosh, it's.
- 36:49Speaker 2: A long time.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Not that much has changed, though, I said nothing anyway.
- 36:53I'm looking for my dad. He died about seven months ago. Well,
- 36:56if he's dead, then why you're looking for him? Don't
- 36:59you know? Where he is in the ground somewhere.
- 37:01Speaker 2: No stared at me.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Everyone knows you never really leave Point Pine.
- 37:05Speaker 2: He was right, but I wasn't going to help him.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I wouldn't even know where to start looking. That was
- 37:12a lie. I knew exactly where to start looking. He
- 37:15was probably in one of the houses up in the
- 37:16mountains or in the oaks.
- 37:19Speaker 1: That's fine, I'll go find people that I know. They
- 37:22should still be here. Have fun with your walk.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Watched as he walked away towards the center of town,
- 37:28where most of the shops were stopped a few feet away,
- 37:31and slowly turned back to look at me.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Hey, has it pried happened this month?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Maybe? Nervous that he knew about that, No mumbled something
- 37:40that I didn't quite catch, continued walking across. I was
- 37:43too anxious to finish my run, so I went home instead.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I heard Cody's back.
- 37:48Speaker 2: My father was on the phone as I walked into
- 37:50the kitchen.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Haven't seen that boy in years, and suddly he managed
- 37:53to show up here, crazy, ain't it?
- 37:55Speaker 2: Looked up and saw me.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I'll call you back. How's your run? Who's Cody? Just
- 38:01a boy? Is it cold out? I met him Cody.
- 38:05I met him on my run, said he's looking for
- 38:08his father, right, is he that?
- 38:12Speaker 2: Cody DELI didn't want to talk about it.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'm going to the farmer's market, hmm.
- 38:20Speaker 2: There were a lot of people around to day, more
- 38:22than usual. At least walked around a few stands, trying
- 38:26my best to avoid the creature's green skin, white eyes,
- 38:29and sharp teeth, which was hard since they were in
- 38:31charge of the farmer's market. Was at a produce stand.
- 38:34When I saw Cody again, everyone got quiet and started
- 38:38whispering among themselves. I hid behind a wooden pole before
- 38:41he saw me, and I didn't want to be seen
- 38:43speaking to him. Read Everyone looked towards Cody as he
- 38:47walked up to Reed. He was in the middle of
- 38:49buying something, Cody, so she did know it. Cody, Cody, Cody,
- 38:56Hey Leek Croonin's the Reed, so she did know him,
- 39:01which meant he was telling the truth. He was from
- 39:04Point Pine. That still didn't seem to make anyone any friendlier.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Towards him, though, I thought you the parade, I.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Knew Reid had been in the parade years ago, and
- 39:13it only just appeared in February of this year point
- 39:16Pine Oaks.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm back. I'm looking for my father. Do you
- 39:20have any idea where I could find him? He's at
- 39:22the Oaks first floor. I see him from time to
- 39:24time the Oaks. Yeah, but you can't go in there.
- 39:28I figured I could tell him for you though I
- 39:30lived there. What about Lee, He's somewhere around here.
- 39:35Speaker 2: She was right, he was somewhere being the time loop
- 39:39at the Oaks. I wondered why she didn't specify that.
- 39:42That's interesting. So in the first story, we have the
- 39:44three characters Lee, Cody, and Reid who go and Reid
- 39:51was the one who was in the parade, right, She's
- 39:53supposed to be the sacrifice, and that's the one who
- 39:55has mentioned the last one like one of the girls
- 39:57from or one of the people that got sacrificed. Just
- 39:59showed up and that's Reed. But for some reason she
- 40:02can come and go and isn't in the time loop,
- 40:04probably because she's dead.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Well, she also works at the or she lives at
- 40:07the the Oaks on the.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Hill, right, No, she lives in the Yeah, she's the
- 40:15one that appeared, but I think probably because she's dead humans, Yeah,
- 40:23which would explain why it's Lee the tenant and the
- 40:25family upstairs. All the monsters can probably come and go.
- 40:28I looked around, and I noticed that no one else
- 40:30was speaking. It was dead silent. Cody and Reid must
- 40:33have noticed too, because they stopped talking and looked around.
- 40:36Speaker 4: I don't think they liked me much.
- 40:38Speaker 2: He was right, we didn't. I saw him again later
- 40:40that day. So I was leaving the Point Pine Library.
- 40:44I just returned some books and my father had checked
- 40:46out on gardening, and I saw him talking to mister
- 40:48Terrence outside the Point Pine Bakery. It's but on the
- 40:51steps of the library. Watching it seemed to be having
- 40:54a normal conversation. Mister Terrence was laughing at something that
- 40:57Cody had said, and it made me weary of him.
- 41:00All ready to trust Cody, now I don't trust mister Terrence.
- 41:04They continued to talk and I noticed other bystanders giving
- 41:07them weird looks. I decided that it was time for
- 41:10me to leave and began walking down the steps and
- 41:13onto the sidewalk. That's when the chorus of voices started singing.
- 41:18Took off running immediately, as did the rest of the
- 41:21people standing around. I knew everyone would head for the
- 41:24Point Pine Bar first, since they had recently added locks
- 41:27to their doors, which meant it would get full and
- 41:30I'd only have to go back and find somewhere else
- 41:32to hide. Point Pine Middle School was my best bed.
- 41:36It was about two minutes away if I ran fast enough,
- 41:38and so I took off in that direction. I ran
- 41:41as the familiar melody filled my ears. Seemed like it
- 41:44was coming from all around me, above me and below me.
- 41:47I ran faster, seeing the school in the distance, I'm
- 41:51pretty sure that's the parade, right, The Parade's what melody is.
- 41:54I thank you because they talked about in the parade
- 41:57that everyone hides you have to find There was only
- 42:01a few buildings in town you could hide in when
- 42:03the parade was coming. Yeah. Yeah, I threw open the
- 42:09doors and walked in. There were only about twenty or
- 42:12so people in here, but I knew it would get
- 42:14full of no time. Sat down on the floor trying
- 42:16to catch my breath.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Marcus, can you watch the doors from me? The prey
- 42:20starts in exactly three minutes. Make sure you locked them
- 42:23and get everyone inside before.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Then got back up and Missus Monroe handed me the keys.
- 42:28I walked over to the door, propping it open with
- 42:30my body. As people ran inside the school, I could
- 42:33see more and more people coming down the street, ranically
- 42:36running as the start of the parade got closer and closer.
- 42:39Two minutes left, crowd of people it thinned down. Now
- 42:43there are only a few people trickling in. At the
- 42:45last minute. One minute left, I could see people coming
- 42:48in the distance and I squinted, trying to make out
- 42:50who it was. Fifty seconds as the person got closer,
- 42:55I saw it was none other than Cody. Forty seconds
- 42:59began to close the door. Twenty seconds Cody picked up
- 43:02his speed, shouting for me to wait. He kept closing
- 43:05the door slowly.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Wait please.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I watched as he got closer and closer, and time
- 43:10seemed to slow down as he desperately ran towards the door.
- 43:13I looked at the time ten seconds nine eight seven
- 43:19six five. I shut the door and locked it. Four
- 43:23Cody banged on the small glass window. I play, He cried. Three,
- 43:29let the small curtain fall and covered up the window. Two.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Come on one.
- 43:35Speaker 2: I heard his footsteps as he ran away, but it
- 43:37was too late. There's nowhere else to go now braid
- 43:41had already begun. Who is that s Monroe asked the
- 43:45new guy. He stayed quiet, so did everyone else in
- 43:48the school. Like I said, we don't lock him.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Wonder if do you think that he actually is gone?
- 43:54Speaker 2: No, I'm sure I'll show up somewhere. I mean he
- 43:56survived at once. Right For some is that you just
- 44:00have to close your eyes and look away. It seems
- 44:03if you can endure. That's interesting. I like that it
- 44:07was like we don't like him. There's this bitterness and
- 44:09it's like you may be from here, but he didn't
- 44:11stick around here. So then when he dies, no one
- 44:13has any sympathy for him. Like how isolated this community is,
- 44:18how weird they are about siders, even people from there
- 44:20who've just been gone a while or not really jealousy.
- 44:24Speaker 1: I mean the guy that was able to a guy
- 44:26that was able to leave and then come back. They're like,
- 44:28fuck this guy an outsider obviously, but I'm.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Just yeah, yeah, you also see the love, just like
- 44:32isolated people's where it's like, uh, you're not us gone,
- 44:37who cares?

- 46:08That was fun.
- 46:09Speaker 1: The next was called The Day the Angel Came perfect.
- 46:13Speaker 2: All right, well hunter, are you ready? Yes, so The
- 46:16Day the Angel Came. As I take a sip of
- 46:18my angel, come, no, don't. The rooftop of the Point
- 46:23Pine Hospital overlooks the town and the surrounding woods. In
- 46:28the distance, you can see the sign that welcomes you
- 46:30to Point Pine, although it's too far away to read
- 46:33from up here, Not that it matters. I already know
- 46:36what it says, anyway, Welcome to Point Pine, Population unknown.
- 46:41People usually come up here to smoke. I don't smoke,
- 46:45but I like coming up here and looking down at
- 46:47all the people in town who are walking around, running,
- 46:49errand and whatnot. It looks so small from up here,
- 46:53like ants. Sometimes I imagine a giant foot coming down
- 46:56from Wiscon squishing everything in town. It's gruesome, know, but
- 47:00I've always had an overactive imagination. Besides, it gets boring
- 47:04being in a hospital bed all the time, beeping of
- 47:08the machines and the smell of antiseptic is enough to
- 47:10make anyone go crazy after a while, so I like
- 47:13to get away for some time. Usually that means about
- 47:18thirty minutes before nurse realizes that I'm missing. I'm sure
- 47:21they know where I am by now, and I think
- 47:23they like to give me some time before they come
- 47:25up to get me, because they normally don't show up
- 47:28until about an hour after I get up here. I'm
- 47:31not sure if they're allowed to do that, but I
- 47:32appreciate it nonetheless. But enough about me story, and about me,
- 47:36at least, not really. It's about the people of Point Pine.
- 47:40It's about Apollo. I met Apollo a few hours ago
- 47:44on the rooftop of the Point Pine Hospital. I'd been
- 47:47up there no more than fifteen minutes, and I suddenly
- 47:50noticed him standing a few feet away from me, leaning
- 47:53over the edge, staring at the town below us. He
- 47:56was dressed in all black, including a black cat that
- 47:59covered most of his and dirty, worn out boots. I
- 48:03was startled because I hadn't noticed anyone else out here.
- 48:05When I came up, it was like he had just
- 48:08appeared out of nowhere. Give the number of odd things
- 48:10that occur in this town, I wouldn't be all that
- 48:13surprised if he had. He was smoking a cigarette and
- 48:16the wind was blowing the smoke directly into my face.
- 48:19A stifle of cough and turned the other way.
- 48:22Speaker 4: Don't know what it is yet, do?
- 48:23Speaker 2: They over at him? They continued to look down and
- 48:26smoke again. Blew it on my face, and I tried
- 48:29not to cough. Excuse me, turned to face me, but
- 48:33I couldn't make out the top half of his face
- 48:35due to the shadow caused by his hat.
- 48:37Speaker 4: The doctors, they don't know what you got.
- 48:40Speaker 2: He replied, taking another drag from a cigarette, this time
- 48:43when he excelled and the smoke blew into my face.
- 48:45I coughed. He had an accent, but I couldn't quite
- 48:48place it. I'm sorry, tossed a cigarette on the floor
- 48:51and used his heel to put it out. How do
- 48:53you know, he asked, For a few minutes of silence,
- 48:56because I know a lot of things about a lot
- 48:58of people. Stepped closer to like what He turned back
- 49:02towards the town below us and pointed off to the right.
- 49:05Speaker 4: You see that man over there in the brown coat
- 49:08walking out of the library.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Squinted and found the man that he was talking about. However,
- 49:13I couldn't tell who it was from up here.
- 49:15Speaker 4: He killed his five year old son about two months
- 49:17ago and let his wife.
- 49:18Speaker 7: Go to prison for it.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Because it's awful.
- 49:22Speaker 4: People are pretty awful. Yeah, you know mister Terrence, the
- 49:26psychic baker.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Yeah, is he a murderer too?
- 49:30Speaker 2: He shook his head.
- 49:32Speaker 4: No, he's one of the good ones. What his mother
- 49:35used to torture his sister when they were younger.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Mister Terrence is a sister.
- 49:40Speaker 4: Head, she's dead, has been for a few years. Suicide.
- 49:45Speaker 2: There were a few minutes of silence as we watched
- 49:47people walking through town.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Who are you, Apollo?
- 49:51Speaker 2: I nodded. The dear Daphne nodded again.
- 49:55Speaker 1: How do you know all these things?
- 49:56Speaker 2: He sighed.
- 49:58Speaker 4: Let's just say I'm not exactly human. So what are
- 50:01you an angel?
- 50:04Speaker 1: An angel?
- 50:05Speaker 4: Yeah? An angel? So why are you here in Point Pine?
- 50:09So it's going to do something really bad soon? I
- 50:12need to be here for that.
- 50:13Speaker 2: Thought about all the bad things that happen here, things
- 50:16like the parade and the time loop that lasts a
- 50:19few months.
- 50:20Speaker 1: How bad?
- 50:22Speaker 4: Worse than the parade and worse than the time loop.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Stared at the people below us, tiny ants walking around town,
- 50:31thought again about a giant foot coming down from the
- 50:33sky and destroying everything. What could be worse than the
- 50:36things we'd already seen?
- 50:38Speaker 4: Three millennial men are going to open a burger restaurant.
- 50:42It's going to be very quirky. Instead of it's going
- 50:45to be Edison bulbs and high top chairs seventeen dollars,
- 50:50and they're in metal baskets.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Instead of made options. It's going to say protein, It
- 50:54a protein. The appetizers are going to say the shareables,
- 50:57it's good. All the sides are going to be family style.
- 51:02Speaker 4: The bathrooms are sitters and squatters. It's gonna be kind
- 51:07of amusing for about two minutes, and it's gonna get
- 51:09real old, real quick.
- 51:09Speaker 2: All of the food is gonna come out in that
- 51:11kind of like patchwork plaid, wide and red design the
- 51:14little baskets, but it will just be over a plastic basket.
- 51:18Speaker 4: Yeah, there's gonna be the honk and chungus burger.
- 51:21Speaker 2: It will come on a metal tray.
- 51:23Speaker 1: That would actually be Oh my god, on.
- 51:25Speaker 2: The menu, it's gonna have a picture.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Out to the parade.
- 51:32Speaker 11: See that car, the one driving in the woods, just
- 51:42the bad.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I can see the picture of my head behind the counter.
- 51:45It's the menu, and all three of them are like like.
- 51:48Speaker 1: Look, yeah, so that's awesome.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it says like three guys in a dream.
- 51:51Speaker 1: So the Heisenberger comes with truffle oil and it comes
- 51:54with parmesan grated fries. You want to add that for
- 51:56ant one dollar charge?
- 51:58Speaker 2: No, it is always he is like a seven dollars
- 52:01up charge minimum. I ain't nothing on that menu.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Wonder do I have ro marshmallow ketchup to Roger Marshmallow?
- 52:10Speaker 2: I nodded as I watched the tiny white car become
- 52:12even smaller as it drove.
- 52:14Speaker 4: There's a woman in the car. She's gonna kill herself.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Why is that turned to look at me? This time
- 52:20I could see his face. His eyes and mouth were
- 52:23like two glowing slits in his face. Backed up.
- 52:28Speaker 4: Her husband just took out a loan for a burger restaurant.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Oh my god, the war God, Wow, she's awesome. There's
- 52:47some one of our mirs is about his start.
- 52:49Speaker 6: A burger restaurant.
- 52:50Speaker 1: He's real discouraged, right, Yeah, everyone's gonna wear black aprons
- 52:56and black barber gloves.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Everything's gonna be way too silver. But also break exposed,
- 53:08break exposed, like h back lines of the What would
- 53:12that What would the name of.
- 53:12Speaker 1: The restaurant be? I don't know, six guys because five
- 53:22wasn't enough.
- 53:24Speaker 2: HM be like cleavers or something like that, like a
- 53:31meat cleaver or something.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I thought it'd be like, what's something
- 53:34kind of like a little funny I could play on.
- 53:37I had the word hamburger, right, famburger? Doesn't it make
- 53:47you want to kill yourself? Fam? Fam Burger's unbelieve because.
- 53:50Speaker 4: Everyone because everyone's family.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Exactly, Oh my god, doesn't matter. It's just like, why
- 53:56are their bullet casings all over by the front door.
- 53:58It's gonna be.
- 54:03Speaker 2: There's a guy there on the hospital roof and they
- 54:05can see someone with a gun walking up like the
- 54:08machine gun to shoot out the place, and angels like
- 54:11you see that guy, he's a hero.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I was gonna say, you see that guy? He's not
- 54:19making an inside I can't. Yeah, they only serve bison berger.
- 54:32I'm just looking for a burger with fries. Yeah, that's
- 54:36not really happening.
- 54:36Speaker 2: That's not how we do That's not how we do
- 54:38things here. There's also like the buns are way too
- 54:40big and also way too cooked, but it's like grilled bunks.
- 54:44Speaker 1: They also burn. The insignia on smoking on top just
- 54:48says famburger on top of it.
- 54:50Speaker 2: And also instead of man, I hate putting famburger into
- 54:57the ether, that was work.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Can I interest you welcome to Fanburger. Can I interest
- 55:02you in our hangover special?
- 55:04Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh, it's got an egg on it.
- 55:07Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, I'm gonna There's a guy behind him.
- 55:10He's like lip piercings and stuff, and he his the beanie,
- 55:13like the bun and the beanie and stuff, and like
- 55:15the the jacket whatever. He has the glasses and he's
- 55:19just like, yeah, I'm gonna need one of those pronto. Yeah,
- 55:23I need a firm I need a firmware update in
- 55:25the form of a hangover Burger.
- 55:28Speaker 3: The curly, the gelled, curly Q mustache, got two razors.
- 55:33Speaker 2: A whole lot of.
- 55:36Speaker 7: All.
- 55:38Speaker 2: It's really funny to imagine this restaurant with bodies littered up.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I'm kind of doing a whole I don't know. Post
- 55:47apocalypse kind of day to day.
- 55:48Speaker 6: It's kind of fun.
- 55:49Speaker 2: The it's it's all bison meat. But you can get
- 55:54the Elk Burger for a fourteen dollars up charge.
- 55:57Speaker 1: We can do Elk for fourteen dollar up charge. And
- 56:00we can add truffle pepper on that for six dollars
- 56:03charge and gold shavings gold and we do have gold
- 56:07shaving lemonade. Yeah, we make our own MIC's hard here,
- 56:13make our own mics hard.
- 56:16Speaker 2: We can't get our alcoholizes jet, so it's buy o
- 56:19l for the liquor.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't really care what you do on the
- 56:28patio lets. You say that, just like he says that
- 56:37you just see a giant blood splatter.
- 56:39Speaker 6: In the window, the whole front window.
- 56:46Speaker 2: I feel like that said to me, Like.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Hey, I'll turn I'll turn a blind eye as long
- 56:53as it's not on the camera. Hey, as long as
- 56:55like you taste these delicious burgers.
- 56:57Speaker 6: Who cares?
- 56:59Speaker 2: We don't care, you know, so God.
- 57:05Speaker 3: We have a sign up sheet out back for to
- 57:06play the big Jenga.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Yes, we had big jan and corn always big.
- 57:11Speaker 3: It's always big, quirky.
- 57:14Speaker 6: They have the giant connects for oh.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, giant connect for a big Jenga and
- 57:18cornhole in the back in case keep playing the game. Yeah,
- 57:22we don't really watch sports ball, but we do have
- 57:27Harry Potter Marathon. That would be hell. That is what
- 57:37what's that big section off place in the back.
- 57:40Speaker 2: We'll get this next month. We're putting in an axe
- 57:43throwing arena the.
- 57:44Speaker 12: X things back there, So be sure to gobble down
- 57:47your boozy shake while you you throw axes. But it's
- 57:52by it's b y O L for the boozy shake.
- 57:56But you can do that on the back pat because
- 57:58we don't care.
- 58:01Speaker 2: I don't think there's any alcohol in here. Yeah, so
- 58:03we still can't get.
- 58:05Speaker 1: So kind of a patio be boozy shake situation.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Yeah, but then here it's it's more of a fan shake.
- 58:11It's for the kids, for the kid.
- 58:13Speaker 1: This is kind of a kid shake.
- 58:15Speaker 11: You know.
- 58:17Speaker 1: That's stupid. Benyon picture, Meet the chef, am I putting
- 58:23the burger in a microwave.
- 58:28Speaker 2: We started this is the stream started from a conversation
- 58:31we had at Mike's house seven years ago.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it all started with a conversation and a dream.
- 58:39Speaker 2: I never really thought about being a chef once I
- 58:42started talking, I realized it was my passion.
- 58:44Speaker 1: But when I found out I had no personality and
- 58:45no taste, I knew this is exactly what I needed
- 58:48to do. I thought to myself, what's what? What do
- 58:51I love? That's why I legitily saw it when I
- 58:53lived in Round Rock, Texas. This is one there's like
- 58:55one of those kinds of restaurants nearby, and it said
- 58:57start with a dream. And I had to ask myself,
- 58:59what do I love? Hamburgers? It's like, that's the one
- 59:05thing you dug up from? What are you? Like, what's
- 59:07one thing you love? Hamburgers? Do that? Do what? Hamburgers?
- 59:15Speaker 2: Do that? All? Right? There's like it's just like it's
- 59:18like bamburger and it's written in that so like the signs,
- 59:22like the kind of.
- 59:23Speaker 1: It's written in Nickelodeon front. It's like the signs kind
- 59:28of brown.
- 59:28Speaker 2: And then famburger is like big text thin then BIG's
- 59:33text and like old West, you know, and then it
- 59:36says underneath it and like a boat, it's like where
- 59:38the good times are always to go.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Yeah we're good, or we're uh, we're hunger. We're hungered
- 59:46dares to enter.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Where hunger dares enter that is right, I got. I got.
- 59:51Speaker 1: If I saw that, I would say, oh my god.
- 59:54Speaker 2: All you enter abandoned hunger.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I say that is if I didn't see, if I
- 1:00:05didn't see a Jeep Patriot drive to the front doors
- 1:00:08of that place.
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: Yeah, just made nail bombs.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: The owner is just like, stop some.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: There's a tru there's a v v B I D
- 1:00:27tumming over the hill, propane tank, slue ship entered.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Yeah, abandoned hunger is so unbelievable. Oh my God, Jesus Christ,
- 1:00:44God kill us the other way around. Yeah, because it's
- 1:00:52a band abandon all hunger.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: You who enter here?
- 1:00:54Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Yeah, oh John.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: That is also they would have.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: The Saturday eating his son, but it would be a
- 1:01:04giant burger instead.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that that I would If a place was self
- 1:01:12aware enough to do stuff like that, that would almost
- 1:01:14be funny.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I think it. But it has to be done without
- 1:01:16a breath. I think it's impossible. I think that it's
- 1:01:18all taken away where it's like, okay, now that's funny. Yeah,
- 1:01:23I get what she did there. Yeah, can you read that?
- 1:01:26He turned to look at me again.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: So anyway, they see the truck coming and the angels
- 1:01:30like the guy's a hero.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Where was he turned to look at me?
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Because it daughter is sick and the doctors don't know
- 1:01:44what it is, but they do know that she's dying
- 1:01:48and that woman, and that woman would rather run away
- 1:01:50from her problems and never faced them again.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: What The door of the roof swung open, and two
- 1:01:55nurses came out. When I looked back as they dragged
- 1:01:58me inside, Apollo was nowhere to be found, and the
- 1:02:01only thing that was left of him was a cigarette
- 1:02:03he had thrown on the ground. Nurses told me I
- 1:02:05was dying, He said, my mom wanted to tell me.
- 1:02:09They couldn't get hold of her, but someone saw her
- 1:02:11steal a car, white car drive off. I don't think
- 1:02:15this is the bad thing that Apaula was talking about.
- 1:02:18Sorry to get gray outside. The sun is getting dimmer
- 1:02:21and dimmer as the minutes pass. I could tell that
- 1:02:24something's going to happen. Everyone's acting jittery, anxious. The nurses
- 1:02:30started to ask everyone to keep the blind shut. But
- 1:02:32I've gotten up and taken a few peaks. It doesn't
- 1:02:35seem to be getting any better. The temperature dropped significantly
- 1:02:38inside the hospital, and I heard someone say that the
- 1:02:41trees in the woods a fused together to form a
- 1:02:43giant wall around town. Not that anyone could leave town
- 1:02:48before that anyway, but now they can't even venture out
- 1:02:51into the woods. I didn't believe Apola before, but I
- 1:02:54guess he was right. I got out of bed once
- 1:02:57no one was looking because they were too preoccupied the
- 1:03:00man next door who was coughing blood. I walked over
- 1:03:03to the window and pulled back the blinds just a bit.
- 1:03:06I was face to face with Apollo. It was floating
- 1:03:09in mid air, his eyes glowing behind him, dozens of
- 1:03:13other angels. I didn't tell anyone what I saw, simply
- 1:03:17close the blinds. I got back into bed. But listen
- 1:03:20really closely. I can hear the worried conversations of the
- 1:03:23other patients. The nurses seem to be the most worried, though,
- 1:03:27keep whispering to one another and looking into my room.
- 1:03:31I heard one of them say that I'm probably going
- 1:03:32to die soon, maybe within the next few days. I'd
- 1:03:36be relieved it weren't for the fact nobody ever really
- 1:03:40leaves Point Pine.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: So is it coming to a fact that it's like, oh,
- 1:03:43it almost seems like Point Pine as hell? Uh?
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like a purgatory.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Yeah, a purgatory kind of thing to where maybe if
- 1:03:50people die here, they just cease to exist entirely.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's like when the Angel comes. It's like
- 1:03:58these people show up, but angel is a stretch of
- 1:04:00the word. It's really like some entity that just transfers you.
- 1:04:04You have to stand Point Pine, but from one point
- 1:04:06of life to the other.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Like an arbiter.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and there was a what was that thing about
- 1:04:11the town was covered in what there In the last
- 1:04:15segment says strapped the trees in the woods a fuse
- 1:04:19together to form a giant wall, so no one can
- 1:04:21get out and everyone's stuck there. Yeah. Well they could
- 1:04:23never leave before, or it was like where someone was
- 1:04:25able to leave, but now it's like there's a wall
- 1:04:28that you cannot get around. Yeah. All right, So if
- 1:04:31you look at the stories list, there's a story called
- 1:04:34Room eight thirteen on Gabby's post. But when we talked
- 1:04:37to Gabby, she said to keep it to the mainline entries,
- 1:04:40how she would suggest to read through them, plus the
- 1:04:43bonus story she gave us. So she said, go on
- 1:04:47to the next one to Point Pine's newest Visitors that's
- 1:04:50what we're gonna do. But there's bonus stories on the
- 1:04:52master list. It's going to be linked in the description
- 1:04:54that include things like Room eight thirteen. So if you
- 1:04:57want even more Point Pine, there's like bonus side stuff.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: There should be two of I think there's.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Two of them that Gabby recommended. We don't read for
- 1:05:03this straight run through, but if you want to check
- 1:05:06them out, they're on that master list. So there's even
- 1:05:07more Point Pine. But you know, obviously, if the author
- 1:05:10says there's a better way to read the series, we're
- 1:05:12gonna do that. So our next story in order then
- 1:05:17is Point Pine's newest visitor came with a warning. Mary
- 1:05:22lou Burningham took my sister Genevieve's tooth. This warning. She
- 1:05:25was the one mentioned in the apartment who takes the
- 1:05:27baby teeth right under the pillow. Yeah, the child, she's
- 1:05:30a child, the tooth fairy. Oh, she's a child. Yeah.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Because remember there's only one man, old man Jones, oh man.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Of course, of course I saw her leaving the house
- 1:05:40when I got up to make breakfast. I only saw
- 1:05:43the back of her head as she walked out of
- 1:05:44the front door, but I would recognize those bright red curls. Anywhere,
- 1:05:48this wasn't anything out of the ordinary, at least not
- 1:05:51in Point Pine. That's just what the collectors do, collect stuff.
- 1:05:55No one really knows why or what they do with it,
- 1:05:58except for Mary Lou. We've seen her wearing jewelry made
- 1:06:02from the teeth of people of Point Pine. She obviously
- 1:06:05doesn't wear all the teeth. That'd be weird, And so
- 1:06:08I've always wondered what you did with the rest of them,
- 1:06:11like a quicklight, like it'd be weird to shure whar
- 1:06:13all the teeth A couples fine, but wearing a couple,
- 1:06:16you know, let a girl.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Have because there's so many that he'd be like, how
- 1:06:20would you even would be like just covering a long
- 1:06:23cape of teeth.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: That'd be pretty cool. See a little girl walking down
- 1:06:26the street. There's like teeth. YEA. Last year when our
- 1:06:33I'm not I'm not gonna lie, probably need to cut this,
- 1:06:36but says last year when our hamster Pennies died, I
- 1:06:38straight up breath that as penits last year when our
- 1:06:40amster named Penis less.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Yea back in Lee Cronin's The Mummy is what he's in.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Ye Cronin's Famburg.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Hamburger.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Last year when our hamster Pennies died, Curtis Man came
- 1:06:58to take it from us. Collects Dead Animals. Those are
- 1:07:02the only two collectors that I'm familiar with, but there's
- 1:07:05twelve total, and they all live at the Point Pine Oaks.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: With the amount of close ups too that Lee Cronin's
- 1:07:10the Bummy that'd be a gross movie. What he would
- 1:07:13put the camera slightly above them like that, He'd put
- 1:07:16it so close to them, or it would be somebody
- 1:07:19ordering up close. There'd be a little bit of blurring
- 1:07:21in the background, you see someone just like eating a burger.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: It'd be that anyways, good we get Lee Cronin to
- 1:07:29shoot the Fanburger movie.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I want to get Lee Cronin for the creep cast,
- 1:07:32and we could just call it Lee Cronin's the creep Cast.
- 1:07:33For so.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: Recently the collectors have been behaving a little weirder than usual. Today,
- 1:07:41when I went on my run, I saw all of
- 1:07:43them walking in two single file lines down the road.
- 1:07:46I had never seen all twelve of them together at
- 1:07:48the same time, so I stopped to observe. They were
- 1:07:51walking weirdly they'd put one foot forward and stop for
- 1:07:55a second, then bring their other foot forward and stop
- 1:07:58for a second. They walk like that all the way
- 1:08:01down the road, headed for the shops in the center
- 1:08:03of Point Pine. I saw them again about an hour
- 1:08:06later when I walked to the Point Pine Bakery to
- 1:08:08pick up a pie for my mom. As I was
- 1:08:11waiting for them to bring my order out, Mary Lee
- 1:08:13walked up to me. Haylee, she said, sounded a bit sad, Hey,
- 1:08:18are you all right? Mary Lou's side and glanced down
- 1:08:21at the chain she wore around her neck that contained
- 1:08:23a small glass bottle that was filled with teeth. Suddenly
- 1:08:26that pie didn't sound so appetizing. So she's speaking to
- 1:08:29our narrator in saying Lee right.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Yeah, So Lee is our the person that's are protagonist
- 1:08:34right now.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's the one who lost his eyes but
- 1:08:37he was in a time loop.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Well, I don't think I don't know how much of
- 1:08:41this is narratively, that's sure. Yeah, why would I be
- 1:08:43all right?
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Stared at her, I really know how to answer, haven't
- 1:08:47you heard about the visitor? I shook my head slowly
- 1:08:49and then glanced over to see if anyone was on
- 1:08:51their way with my pie yet no offense to Mary Lou,
- 1:08:54but she had a tendency of making people feel uncomfortable.
- 1:08:57Mary Lou's side again that reached out and play her
- 1:09:00hand on my arm. She wore a ring with a
- 1:09:02tooth on it on each of her fingers.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Try not to gag, be cautious with your eyes, Lee,
- 1:09:08but hey for you to lose them again, she.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Said, staring at me intently with their huge green eyes.
- 1:09:14I watched as she walked away. The spot where her
- 1:09:17hand had rested on my arm felt noticeably colder than
- 1:09:19the rest of my body, and I rubbed my arm
- 1:09:21until the feeling went away. I finally got my pine
- 1:09:25headed outside. I looked down the road and saw the
- 1:09:28collectors were back in their two lines, walking in that
- 1:09:31weird way that they had been earlier. I watched them
- 1:09:34for a few seconds. Mary Lou turned around and we
- 1:09:37locked eyes. She brought both of her hands up to
- 1:09:39her face and covered her eyes before turning back around
- 1:09:42and continuing her walk. I turned around and started walking
- 1:09:45back home, thinking about how Mary Lou was quite possibly
- 1:09:48the most unsettling eleven year old that I'd ever met.
- 1:09:52On the walk home, I overheard a few different conversations
- 1:09:55about the collectors. The people of Point Pine were starting
- 1:09:58to become irritated with them, convinced that they were playing
- 1:10:01some sort of prank on everyone. When I got home,
- 1:10:04my mom was talking about them too.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Could you believe it? They told Sauntra's kid that he
- 1:10:08needed to keep an eye on his arms because he
- 1:10:10might lose them. I mean, who says that to an
- 1:10:12eight year old Mary Lou told me to be cautious
- 1:10:16with my eyes.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: He said, as I stepped in and set the pie
- 1:10:19down on the kitchen table. What my dad snapped?
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I'm sure it's fine. They're just weird. They told Cody
- 1:10:26the parade was coming back to get him soon.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Cody had come back to Point Pine a few months ago.
- 1:10:30That survived the Point Pip parade twice. Now, Who've been
- 1:10:34saying with us for a while now, but spent most
- 1:10:36of his time locked in his room in the basement.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Okay, so maybe the timely bus is broken.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Time lo'ves broken at some point, and Cody lived through
- 1:10:43the parade incident twice. Saw twice?
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, she said something about a visitor.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: What my dad asked? At the same time, my mom asked.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Who Mary Lou. She asked me if I heard about
- 1:10:54the visitor what visitor? I don't know if she didn't
- 1:10:57give me a name.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: Uh, that's interesting because I thought by visitor she was
- 1:11:00talking about Cody.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I think she I thought she was talking about the angel.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: H just could be just in us. God, we really
- 1:11:08ruined it because I'm thinking of like the layout of
- 1:11:10town in my head, right in.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Front of all these decrepit ware buildings and then just
- 1:11:14an extremely bright, big Famburger. It's a cross. It's like
- 1:11:19the hotel. Yeah, I went up and dropped the pile
- 1:11:21of the counter. Mom says, do you see they're opening
- 1:11:23up another Fanburger on on Westchester Street?
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: In my head, in another one in my head, it's
- 1:11:34like built like Gatlinburg, where it's a single like skinny
- 1:11:36strip in the mountains, and at the end of the
- 1:11:39street you have the hospital that they're looking on, and
- 1:11:41then like two blocks down on the left you have
- 1:11:44Point Oak or Oak, the oak Wood whatever, the apartment building,
- 1:11:49and then straight beneath the hospital is the flaming red Famburger.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: The famburger in tournament camp. Yes, they forced as they forced,
- 1:12:03they forced Cody into.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: The fam Burger, Like when you said that she's talking
- 1:12:08about the angel. In my head, I just see the
- 1:12:10angel looking at Famburger and seeing the trug drighting my parents.
- 1:12:19If a burger joint shows up, that's a bear trap.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: If a burger, I'm not even If a burger joint
- 1:12:24shows on the story, I'm walking off set.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: It could be like if it would to be like
- 1:12:28a greasy spoon, though like a diner kind of place,
- 1:12:31you know, it wouldn't be Famburger.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: We'll see, We'll.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: See if it does.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't know, we'll see.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: My parents spent the majority of the day questioning what
- 1:12:39Mary Lou and the rest of the collectors were talking about.
- 1:12:41That evening we all got a flyers slipped under our
- 1:12:44front doors. I was sitting on the couch when it
- 1:12:47flew across the floor. I walked over and picked it up.
- 1:12:51It was a black piece of paper with the words
- 1:12:54beware the visitor sprawled crudely at the top of white crayon.
- 1:12:58Below that neat writing someone crayon it read the following.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Brettis is a point Pine. Tomorrow at seven am we
- 1:13:05will have a visitor. We advise you not interact with him,
- 1:13:08which shouldn't be a problem since no one is allowed
- 1:13:10up and since no one is allowed up until eight
- 1:13:12thirteen am, who used this time to wander around town
- 1:13:15and even your homes. If you hear him, simply pretend
- 1:13:18to be asleep. He is here to take from you,
- 1:13:20but as long as you don't interact, you'll be fine.
- 1:13:23Be careful.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: The collectors didn't take long for people to freak out. Sure,
- 1:13:27we were all used to weird things happening in Point Pine,
- 1:13:30but how did the collectors know so much about this?
- 1:13:33Some people walked over the oaks to try and speak
- 1:13:36to the collectors, but apparently Eric wasn't letting anyone in.
- 1:13:40Not that I blamed him. After being stuck in that
- 1:13:42weird time loop with him, I understood his caution when
- 1:13:45it came to the people that he allowed inside his building. Eventually,
- 1:13:48people returned to their homes and went to bed. There
- 1:13:51was an odd feeling like something really bad was going
- 1:13:54to happen. Trying my best to ignore it, went to
- 1:13:57bed at my usual time, tossing and turning for a
- 1:14:00few minutes before finally falling asleep. I awoke when I
- 1:14:03heard the front door creak open, turned over in bed
- 1:14:06and looked at the clock seven fifty five am. My
- 1:14:09heart sped up in my chest as I realized that
- 1:14:11the visitor was here. I could hear the footsteps coming
- 1:14:14up the stairs, and I turned so my back was
- 1:14:16facing my bedroom door, shut my eyes, trying to even
- 1:14:20my breathing. As a visitor got closer, I noticed that
- 1:14:24he was humming a very familiar tune. Took a few
- 1:14:27minutes before I realized that it was the same music
- 1:14:30that played whenever the Point Pine Parade started. The visitor
- 1:14:33never stepped into my bedroom, but I heard him wandering
- 1:14:36around the rest of the house for what felt like hours.
- 1:14:40Finally I heard him walk back out the door. I
- 1:14:43breathed the sigh of relief as I slowly turned back
- 1:14:45around to look at the clock eight o eight am,
- 1:14:49five minutes until we could be up. I laid there,
- 1:14:53staring at the ceiling, waiting for the town alarm to
- 1:14:55ring or it did. However, I heard a scream pierced
- 1:15:00the morning silence. It sounded like it was coming from
- 1:15:03the house next door. Frozen bed, not wanting to take
- 1:15:06a look and risk seeing something that I shouldn't. Mary
- 1:15:10Lou's voice kept echoing to my mind as I laid
- 1:15:12there waiting for the town alarms to go off.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Be cautious with your eyes, Lee, I would hate for
- 1:15:17you to lose them again.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Finally, the town alarms went off, and I climbed out
- 1:15:22of bed and made my way downstairs the rest of
- 1:15:25my family, Cody following me. I walked over to the
- 1:15:30living room window and pulled the curtains open a few
- 1:15:32inches to look outside. Most of the neighbors are now
- 1:15:35out there crowding on the Humphrey's lawn. My dad opened
- 1:15:39the front door, and Cody and I followed after him,
- 1:15:41making our way through the crowd of people to try
- 1:15:43to see what was going on. We pushed through until
- 1:15:46we got to the front of the crowd and finally
- 1:15:48managed to see what the big deal was on the
- 1:15:51front lawn. See the entire Humphrey's family, all four of
- 1:15:54them laying on their backs, facing up towards the sky,
- 1:15:58their eyes darting around on the crowd of people above them.
- 1:16:03Their noses and mouths were completely gone. Everything below their
- 1:16:07nose had vanished and was simply replaced with smooth skin,
- 1:16:11no nose, no nostrils, no lips, just eyes and smooth
- 1:16:14skin all the way down their faces. Above their heads
- 1:16:17was a copy of the flyer that I had gotten
- 1:16:19last night, stuck in the grass by a rusty butcher knife.
- 1:16:23Only this flyer was a bit different. It was written
- 1:16:25on white paper in red font and it read welcome
- 1:16:28the visitor at the top. The rest of the flyers
- 1:16:31that as follows.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Residents a point fine. Tomorrow at seven am, you will
- 1:16:35have a visitor. You have been chosen to interact with him. Congratulations.
- 1:16:39You will use this time to wander around town at
- 1:16:41even your homes. When you hear him, get up and
- 1:16:43say hello. It's an honor to be chosen. He is
- 1:16:47here to see you, and only you be happy, be nice.
- 1:16:50I don't put up a fight, it won't be worth it.
- 1:16:53The visitor interesting, So maybe it isn't the angels. But
- 1:16:59at the same time I could see maybe it's like
- 1:17:01they get smooth faces and did there because what happened
- 1:17:04was the angel's face also was smooth, and it just
- 1:17:07had to slits the head the things. But it also
- 1:17:10makes it seem where it's like, are the angels there
- 1:17:11to protect them from the visitor. I don't know.
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, it's like the collectors were the ones who
- 1:17:16were like Mary Lou seems sad because she knew the
- 1:17:19visitor was coming, and then she kind of gave lee
- 1:17:23word of caution like I wouldn't want you to lose
- 1:17:24your eyes, which seemed menacing but was actually like a
- 1:17:27good piece of advice. And then everyone else got the
- 1:17:31note that's like, hey, do not interact. But then the
- 1:17:33target is like, why don't you get up say hi
- 1:17:36to it? Yeah?
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so one of them more menacing.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: Does that mean the Humphries like suffocate because they don't
- 1:17:41have noses or mouse or are they just like kept
- 1:17:43alive in the state.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I can't tell. I can't tell if it's all up
- 1:17:48in the air. There's a lot of different ways you
- 1:17:49could read it. I mean you could read as like
- 1:17:50a purgatory thing of like is it their existence like
- 1:17:52being sucked out of the place, or do they lose
- 1:17:54their identity there? Did they like lose the shell that
- 1:17:57they inhabit in this body, or is it a thing
- 1:17:59where they're just yes, dealing their identity or just torturing
- 1:18:02them you know. The next one's called the things in
- 1:18:05the Giant Bear costumes won't stop handing out popcorn.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: A turn a little bit, a little bit different from
- 1:18:13the last one, but you know what, that's what it's
- 1:18:16all about. I hate the carnival, the obnoxious music that's
- 1:18:20trying way too hard to sound happy, the hundreds of colorful,
- 1:18:24blinding lights, the mix of popcorn, sweets, peanuts, and sticky,
- 1:18:28sweaty children. I hate all of it, of course, because
- 1:18:32I hate the carnival. It makes perfect sense that I
- 1:18:34live in Point Pine, where everyone else adores it so
- 1:18:37much that there's always a carnival in town. It's like
- 1:18:40the universe wants to torture me. I'm usually able to
- 1:18:44tolerate it. I just don't go. It's a perfect plan,
- 1:18:47and so far it's worked out exceptionally well for me.
- 1:18:51And then they added the dancing bears. They look like
- 1:18:54normal brown teddy bears with black eyes and a red
- 1:18:56bow tie, only these are about seven feet tall. I
- 1:19:01saw the first one in the middle of town while
- 1:19:02I was picking up groceries. It was standing outside the bakery,
- 1:19:06slowly swaying in place while that stupid carnival music played
- 1:19:09through some speakers that seemed to be located inside the costume.
- 1:19:14As I got closer to the giant dancing bear, I
- 1:19:16thought about kicking whoever had this fantastic idea right in
- 1:19:19the teeth. When I passed the bear, it held out
- 1:19:22a bucket of popcorn towards me, seemingly manifesting out of
- 1:19:25thin air. It kept swaying as it held the bucket
- 1:19:29out towards me, staring at me with its stupid beady eyes. Yeah,
- 1:19:33no thanks, I scoffed, pushing it aside. The bear dropped
- 1:19:37the bucket and the popcorn spilled all over the sidewalk.
- 1:19:40Comass mumbled as I kept walking. The next time I
- 1:19:43went into town, there were three bears, all identical, all swaying,
- 1:19:48and all were playing the same stupid carnival music. I
- 1:19:51think the best part about this was that the music
- 1:19:54was not playing simultaneously, making the already lousy tune sound
- 1:19:57even worse. Which I didn't really know was pop until now.
- 1:20:01Every type a person passed by the bears, they would
- 1:20:03pull a bucket of popcorn out of nowhere and offer
- 1:20:06it to the bystanders. Every single idiot took it, of course,
- 1:20:10and I rolled my eyes as their stupid faces filled
- 1:20:12with joy. After about three days of this. The smell
- 1:20:16of popcorn was everywhere. I swear it was in my
- 1:20:19skin at that point it was nauseating. One step outside
- 1:20:22and you were hit with the smell of popcorn, and
- 1:20:25it even started to seep into my home. All I
- 1:20:27could smell was popcorn. Single semi tolerable thing was now
- 1:20:32also ruined, which only further forced my hatred. And still
- 1:20:36the bears continued to multiply like bunnies. There is now
- 1:20:40one on every street corner, even the neighborhoods. The stupid
- 1:20:44carnival of music could be heard everywhere in town. It
- 1:20:47was so irritating that I thought about jamming something in
- 1:20:49my ears for some relief. The next time I went out,
- 1:20:53popcorn filled the streets. It was everywhere. It looked like
- 1:20:57ol of Point Pine was a popcorn machine. Popcorn machine
- 1:21:01that incessantly played carnival music. I could tell that even
- 1:21:05the other people who usually loved the carnival were getting
- 1:21:08tired of it. No one was taking the popcorn anymore,
- 1:21:12and they weren't even going outside now. I was sitting
- 1:21:15in my living room trying to watch a movie and
- 1:21:17tune out the music, when a scream pierced through both
- 1:21:20of the sounds and startled me. I ran to the
- 1:21:23window and looked outside, where a woman was pointing down
- 1:21:26the street at one of the dancing bears and screaming.
- 1:21:30One by one, my neighbors started to come out of
- 1:21:32their homes to investigate the murderous screams, and I saw
- 1:21:35Andy Cobart take one look down the street and throw
- 1:21:38up all over his rose bushes. Seeing that pequed my interest,
- 1:21:42so I stepped out of my house, out into the
- 1:21:45popcorn fumes that sat heavily over Point Pine. I walked
- 1:21:50out onto my popcorn covered lawn and look down the street.
- 1:21:53A giant dancing teddy bear was still there, but whoever
- 1:21:56it was under the costume had removed the head and
- 1:21:58was holding it in their hands as say danced. Oh,
- 1:22:02and the person in the costume didn't have a head.
- 1:22:04All that came out at the top of the costume
- 1:22:06was a neck that appeared to have sewn together at
- 1:22:08the top where the head should be. I stared at
- 1:22:11the headless dancing person as they moved the giant teddy
- 1:22:14bear head around with they swayed on the street corner.
- 1:22:18They had been out there for so long now that
- 1:22:20the carnival music was no longer happy and bubbly. Now
- 1:22:23it was distorted, creepy. We all stood outside our homes,
- 1:22:27staring at the headless dancer at the end of the street,
- 1:22:29not knowing what to do. When weird things happened in
- 1:22:32Point Pine, we're usually warned about them in advance, and
- 1:22:36on the off chance that we aren't warned, someone or
- 1:22:39multiple someones die. A scream erupted from the next street,
- 1:22:44signaling that the dancing bear had removed its head. Andy's husband, Marwin,
- 1:22:49walked down the street towards the bear, his feet crunching
- 1:22:52down on all the popcorn. I watched as he went
- 1:22:54up to the bear, and a bucket of popcorn appeared
- 1:22:57in mid air and fell onto Marwin's head. Eiefull to
- 1:23:00laugh as he threw the bucket aside. Marwin reached over
- 1:23:03and took the bear head away from the dancer, turning
- 1:23:06it over to examine it. Shook it a few times,
- 1:23:09and I expected a head to fall out and roll
- 1:23:11onto the popcorn, but it appeared to be empty. Suddenly,
- 1:23:14the dancing bear reached out and grabbed Marwin's arm with
- 1:23:17one of its teddy bear arms. Marwin backed up, trying
- 1:23:20to get away, but wasn't able to. What the fuck
- 1:23:22man shout as he tried to shake the teddy Bear off?
- 1:23:26And he ran down the street towards Marwin and attempted
- 1:23:28to pry the bear away from Marwin.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Why is this thing so fucking strong? I mean, it's a.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: Bear welled in tears. I rolled my eyes and ran
- 1:23:36over and taking out a small pocket knife I carried
- 1:23:39in my pocket to cut off the teddy bear arm.
- 1:23:42The knife tore through the fabric, cutting off about six
- 1:23:45inches of the arm, sliced right through the arm was empty.
- 1:23:50What the Marwin grabbed the now limp piece of fabric
- 1:23:53and looked inside of it.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: They don't even have arms, he was right.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Whoever was in the costume had neck, no head, and
- 1:24:01apparently no arms. The entire arm that I had cut
- 1:24:04was now limp and flapping around as the Teddy Bear swayed,
- 1:24:07as if all the stuffing had been taken out. I
- 1:24:10walked up to the Teddy Bear again and sank my
- 1:24:12knife into the chest, dragging it down a few inches,
- 1:24:15and he gasped, stepped back and waited, but nothing happened.
- 1:24:19I looked back at my neighbors who were fixated on
- 1:24:22the teddy Bear. After a few minutes, the carnival music
- 1:24:25stopped and the bear frozen place. I took a few
- 1:24:29steps back, and suddenly blood began pouring out of the
- 1:24:32gash in its chest, spilling down the front of the
- 1:24:35suit and onto the popcorn on the ground. After that,
- 1:24:38chunks of stuff began to tumble out of the same gash,
- 1:24:41falling onto the popcorn with a six splattering sound. Looked
- 1:24:46closer at the things that were spilling out of the
- 1:24:48giant teddy Bear and finally realized what it was. They
- 1:24:51were organs. Organs were falling out of the teddy Bear.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Is that a liver?
- 1:24:57Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: And that's a heart?
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Lovely.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: When all the inside stopped falling out of the teddy Bear,
- 1:25:04it crumbled in on itself and sank to the floor,
- 1:25:06covering the popcorn like a rug. Is it dead? Someone
- 1:25:10called from behind me.
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: I don't fucking know.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: At least the music stopped.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: We all stood in silence in the middle of the
- 1:25:16popcorn covered road and stared at the pile of blood
- 1:25:18and organs. Andy threw up on someone else's yard, and
- 1:25:21then Marwin took him back into the house. Hey look,
- 1:25:25I looked up to see that the dancing bear on
- 1:25:27the street corner across from Mars had also fallen over.
- 1:25:30Everyone in that neighborhood simply stared at the empty bear costume.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: The music is stopping.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: I listened as the music that had been coming from
- 1:25:38the bears got quieter and quieter. It seemed that killing
- 1:25:41one of them would kill them all. I breathed a
- 1:25:44sigh of relief and immediately regretted it as my nose
- 1:25:46filled with the smell of blood and popcorn. I coughed
- 1:25:49and gagged, but controlled myself before I started throwing up
- 1:25:52on people's property. Like Andy, walked back down the street
- 1:25:56and toward my house. Just as I was about to
- 1:25:58step onto my porch, the ground begin to shake. I
- 1:26:02held on to the stair railing and looked back just
- 1:26:05in time to hear a loud pop. See Felicity Green
- 1:26:08fall backward onto the popcorn in the street. There was
- 1:26:11a giant hole in the middle of her chest that
- 1:26:14was still slightly smoking. There was another pop nearby, and
- 1:26:17the house next door's living room window exploded. When the
- 1:26:21Fresh show is that someone called this People ran over
- 1:26:24to Felicity's smoking dead body.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: It was a kernel. There's no way a colonel just
- 1:26:29ripped a hole in Felicity's chest. Well, it was a
- 1:26:32really big kernel.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: Amidst the voices that were shouting at each other from
- 1:26:37across the street, there were another two pops. I stared
- 1:26:41at the ground intently and managed to see one kernel
- 1:26:43pop up into the air and land a few feet away,
- 1:26:46making a crack in the sidewalk. As a popcorn around
- 1:26:48the area burned up and started smoking. Now it smelled
- 1:26:52like burnt popcorn. I walked back toward the street closer
- 1:26:56I got, the hotter the area fell. The roads were
- 1:26:59heating up. Point Pine was down, actual popcorn machine. I
- 1:27:03backed up and at it towards my house. As the
- 1:27:05popping started to increase, sending flaming hot kernels everywhere. I
- 1:27:10ran inside and locked my door, heading to my living
- 1:27:13room window and pulling the curtains back to look outside.
- 1:27:16Everyone was now in their homes, and all that was
- 1:27:18left in the street was burned popcorn and Felicity's body,
- 1:27:21which was still smoking and now appeared to be cooking
- 1:27:23from the heat that was coming from the road. I
- 1:27:26glanced down the street where the loose organs were now
- 1:27:28beginning to move closer to each other, forming a body.
- 1:27:31As each organ took its place, a new costume began
- 1:27:34to form around the organs, this time taking the shape
- 1:27:37of a circus clown instead of a teddy bear. It
- 1:27:40was wearing bright yellow clown shoes, a wide and red
- 1:27:43striped outfit, and blue suspenders, and a rainbow wig. Clown's
- 1:27:47face was painted white, with pink circles on the cheeks
- 1:27:50and a black diamond that surrounded each eye. Carnival music
- 1:27:53started up again, and the clown jumped up and down
- 1:27:56the road, yelling hot, Hot, Hot every time it's feet
- 1:28:00landed on the hot street. After a few minutes, he
- 1:28:03caught me staring and waved at me as it's headed
- 1:28:05to three point sixty skipped towards my house, stopping in
- 1:28:09front of the sidewalk, and I stared as a bucket
- 1:28:11of popcorn appeared out of nowhere, and he held it
- 1:28:13out towards me. When I didn't move, the clown dropped
- 1:28:17the bucket on my lawn and then turned around and
- 1:28:19made his way across the street, jumping and clicking his
- 1:28:22heels together every step while he shouted hot, hot, hot
- 1:28:25in a loud, cheery voice. Do you want to give
- 1:28:27us a hot hot hot impression? Hot?
- 1:28:30Speaker 6: Had hot hot hot hot.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: There you go, It's good. He kept jumping and clicking
- 1:28:34his heels as he made his way towards Felicity.
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: Had had hot hot hot hot had had.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: Had had jump click. Finally reached Felicity's body and leaned down,
- 1:28:44tearing off her entire arm with these and then taking
- 1:28:47a huge bite from the middle of it, bone and all.
- 1:28:50He stared at me while he ate the arm, and
- 1:28:52the carnival of music slowly grew louder and louder as
- 1:28:54all the other dead bears transformed into one.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: I hate the carnival, I'll be completely honest. What the
- 1:28:59fuck even was that entry?
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: So that entry was there's like this anomalous thing that
- 1:29:05shows up, that takes on an appearance that people like
- 1:29:08everyone wants to eat popcorn, right, and then when the
- 1:29:11facade's up, when someone recognizes him as like not just
- 1:29:14nice bear costumes, it's like, all right, well, time to
- 1:29:17reset it, just because well it feels like.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: The cohesion of the story so far was kind of broke. Well,
- 1:29:21like this, so the first one with the parade, it
- 1:29:24felt like it felt like an entry like the parade,
- 1:29:26where it was kind of like just a moment, you know,
- 1:29:28But we've had so many to where I was just like,
- 1:29:30it just kind of felt like a bit more random
- 1:29:33in terms of the linear structure of what we've been
- 1:29:36reading so far. Unless the carnival is the thing that
- 1:29:39is popping up that people are like, you gotta want those?
- 1:29:41Are those the visitors kind of thing?
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: No, I think it's each its own thing. I think
- 1:29:46it's just like the town's full of like different supernatural creatures,
- 1:29:50each with their own thing going on. This is just
- 1:29:52a thing that wanted people to eat a bunch of
- 1:29:54popcorn so that it could.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Maybe it seems like an effect, right because all the
- 1:30:00people I can eat the popcorn, like it killed, like
- 1:30:03an infection or like a way to gain trust for
- 1:30:07like them to continue.
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: Maybe it had some eventual plan it was going to
- 1:30:10get to, but once someone kills the bear, it's like,
- 1:30:12all right, well that plan's done. New plan like gonna
- 1:30:14become a clown or something. It's like it wants to
- 1:30:16appeal to humanity, but it doesn't understand that it's not
- 1:30:20doing it right. It's like, oh, people like bear costumes
- 1:30:23and popcorn, we'll do that. And then it's like, oh,
- 1:30:26that didn't work, Okay, they like clowns, will be clowns. Now.
- 1:30:28It's like they just are just mimicking without understanding how
- 1:30:32to make the mimicry ye kind of thing. That's what
- 1:30:35I think. It could just as easily be like a
- 1:30:37puppy or like a cute kid or something like that.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: This next one is was the supposed last one before
- 1:30:44the our secret entry before the injury that she never uploaded.
- 1:30:48So apparently this was the last entry to the Point
- 1:30:50Pine place, which was the Due to recent violent events,
- 1:30:53pumpkins are no longer allowed on a Point Pine, but
- 1:30:56we luckily have one more after this, So right, so last.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: Public story in the Point Pine series? Are you ready?
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: Yep?
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: Due to recent violent events, pumpkins are no longer allowed
- 1:31:09at Point Pine. It all started when Cassandra Wolfheart killed
- 1:31:13the Pumpkins sprout. I didn't know Cassandra personally, but I
- 1:31:16knew of her. She was friends with Tom's sister, and
- 1:31:19Tom was friends with me. All that I know about
- 1:31:21Cassandra I've learned against my will. Passing comments from adults
- 1:31:25for other kids at.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: School at Wolfhart, girl, that's a picky eater if I've
- 1:31:29ever seen one.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: One thing that everyone in town knew was that Cassandra
- 1:31:33hated pumpkins. She literally could not stand on the side
- 1:31:36of them. I want to watch her start screaming at
- 1:31:39the top of her lungs when a barista at the
- 1:31:41Point Pine Cafe offered her a pumpkin spice latte. The
- 1:31:45girl was weird, and her hatred of pumpkins was the
- 1:31:48weird cherry on top of the weird Sunday that was
- 1:31:51Cassandra Wolfheart. Tom said that anytime Cassandra came over during
- 1:31:55the fall season, she would avoid looking into their backyard. Apparently,
- 1:31:59the first time she went over, she saw their pumpkin
- 1:32:02patch and went wide as a ghost. Before she passed
- 1:32:05out on their kitchen floor. She showed me a dent
- 1:32:08that she swears was made by her head hitting the
- 1:32:10wooden floorboards. But Tom is kind of a liar sometimes,
- 1:32:14so I just go along with most of what he says.
- 1:32:17I knew about the other girls at school who liked
- 1:32:19to play pranks on Cassandra. One day, they filled her
- 1:32:22locker with pumpkin guts, and when she opened it, she
- 1:32:24threw up in the middle of the hallway. I have
- 1:32:27to say that at first I found Cassandra to be
- 1:32:30a little ridiculous, but now I feel bad for so
- 1:32:34many people constantly terrorize her with her biggest fear. I
- 1:32:38think about what I would do. Someone was dangling me
- 1:32:40off a cliff as a joke, and I realized that
- 1:32:42I'd probably react the same way that Cassandra has. Last week,
- 1:32:46I was at Tom's house while Cassandra was there hanging
- 1:32:48out with his sister Megan. Even from Tom's room, I
- 1:32:52could overhear Cassandra complaining about pumpkin spice season. I haven't
- 1:32:56heard her gag a few times after she said the
- 1:32:58word pumpkin. Cassandra left before dinner that day once she
- 1:33:03found out that Tom's mother was serving pumpkin bread for dessert.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Boy, that girl sh sure hates pumpkins.
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: You put your soul into that one though. That was powerful.
- 1:33:15Speaker 8: Boy, that girl sure hates pumpkins.
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: A lot of passion of that. Tom's dad chuckle that
- 1:33:24she went out the front door.
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: Why did Tom become my new food character?
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: His dad right?
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Or Tom's dad?
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: Ye, Tom's dad, Yeah, Tom's dad. Tom's dad would stop famburger.
- 1:33:36Yeah is that kind of guy?
- 1:33:38Speaker 8: I have a gun in a dream, Tom's dad, you rule,
- 1:33:49I have to make it to heaven.
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: I can't.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: Blood for the Blood God, and this must be made.
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: A few days after that, because Andrew's brothers managed to
- 1:34:12carry her to Tom's pumpkin patch in her sleep. When
- 1:34:15she woke up surrounded by pumpkins, she screamed so loud
- 1:34:17that she woke up everyone in the neighborhood. So when's
- 1:34:20the when? So you can't be awake before eight thirteen?
- 1:34:24But when do you have to be in bed? Bye?
- 1:34:26Because it's like if she wakes up at two am
- 1:34:28and a pumpkin patches, she'd done. So I just sucks
- 1:34:32for her.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: I would you assume? I don't know. They never really
- 1:34:37established that.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: Hey, we prank Cassandra by killing her in the pumpkin patch.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, we fed prank bitch. We fed her
- 1:34:45in the Blood God exactly. Tom's dad shot her with
- 1:34:49his pellet gun.
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: I had to be done. They all rushed out to
- 1:34:59find her, slamming her fist over the pumpkins, punching holes
- 1:35:02into a few of them. She had apparently broken off
- 1:35:04a few nails doing this and severely cut up and
- 1:35:07bruised her hands in the process. They had to call
- 1:35:10the police and the paramedics to tear her away from
- 1:35:12the pumpkin patch and then sedate her so they could
- 1:35:14transport her to the hospital. Since her brothers had filmed it,
- 1:35:18they were in some big trouble with the cops and
- 1:35:20their parents.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: May she said she tried to get May said she
- 1:35:25tried to go visit Cassandra, but she wouldn't even talk
- 1:35:27to her. She kept crying and saying the pumpkins were going.
- 1:35:30She kept crying and saying that the pumpkins were gonna.
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: Want revenge, said, as we did our history homework.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: Revenge for what? For what she did to them?
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: Duh.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: She basically murdered a bunch of pumpkins, Hailey. I saw
- 1:35:43what it looked like afterwards. She literally destroyed a whole
- 1:35:46pumpkin patch.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: I looked up at Tom, who was highlighted in a textbook.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're pumpkins, like they don't care.
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: She doesn't think that, mumbled with a highlighter tap in
- 1:35:58his mouth. I didn't hear much about Cassandra for the
- 1:36:00rest of the day. But the following morning, when Tom's
- 1:36:03parents went outside to clean up the mess, they found
- 1:36:05that all the pumpkin debris was already gone.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: You mean someone just cleaned it up, I.
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: Asked Tom over the phone, and I guess what else
- 1:36:14could have happened. I didn't say anything, because honestly, I
- 1:36:18don't know. Maybe someone just felt bad and had decided
- 1:36:21to help Tom's family out by cleaning up Cassandra's mess.
- 1:36:25It wasn't likely that she would clean up after herself,
- 1:36:27at least not without having some sort of breakdown. Following morning,
- 1:36:32at four am, someone called the police claiming that there
- 1:36:35was a girl in a hospital gown, wailing and running
- 1:36:38barefoot down the street. It was Cassandra, and when they
- 1:36:41caught up to her, she said she was running from
- 1:36:44the pumpkin monster. She had made it all the way
- 1:36:47to our neighborhood from I read I'm about to read
- 1:36:54the lines. She was running from the hospital and I
- 1:36:57just pictured her running by Am Murger, which is on
- 1:37:01the front left corner of the hospital, like there's a
- 1:37:09literal pumpkin monster behind her, the three guys through out front.
- 1:37:12It's like arms crossed.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Watch on the patio smoking weed.
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: So what you do on the patio A don't let
- 1:37:22it shut the door, don't let it draft in.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: They have the true O Disney fans outside.
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: They rolled tobacco cigarettes. It was Cassandra. She had made
- 1:37:36it all the way to our neighborhood from the hospital
- 1:37:38and collapsed on her front lawn. I washed through my
- 1:37:40bedroom windows. The police talked to Cassandra and her parents
- 1:37:43for a few minutes. Something caught my eye off to
- 1:37:46the left, and I looked over to see Tom waving
- 1:37:48me down. Ran downstairs and out the front door to
- 1:37:51meet him.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: What's going on? She says, there's a pumpkin monster out
- 1:37:54to get her.
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: Tom grinned.
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: Maybe all the teasing caught up to her, and she
- 1:37:58finally broke.
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: Looked over the rest of the neighbors who had been
- 1:38:01drawn outside onto the street by the cops, and the
- 1:38:04crazy girl in a hospital gown or maybe not. Tom
- 1:38:08trailed off, glanced back at him and saw he was
- 1:38:11pointing towards one of the running paths that came out
- 1:38:13of the woods and between two of the houses on
- 1:38:15the street. There was movement in the trees and a
- 1:38:17flash of orange before something came out of the woods.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: What the fuck was that? Oh my god, it's here,
- 1:38:23The pumpkin Monster's here. Please get to help me. I
- 1:38:25don't want to.
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: Die, Sandra wailed as she saw it. For once, Sandra
- 1:38:29wasn't crazy. The thing that had come out of the
- 1:38:32woods was in fact a pumpkin monster. It was about
- 1:38:36seven feet tall and made out of broken pumpkins from
- 1:38:39Tom's pumpkin patch. The pumpkin pieces were crudely molded together
- 1:38:43to form feet, legs, torso arms, hands, a neck, and
- 1:38:46finally a head, and had pumpkin cts draped all over it,
- 1:38:50hanging off its body and leaving a trail of them
- 1:38:53all over the ground. It stopped in the middle of
- 1:38:56the street, and people began to go back into their homes.
- 1:38:58It seemed to look round for a while, moving its lopsided,
- 1:39:01half smashed pumpkinhead from side to side, even though it
- 1:39:04had no eyes or any other facial features. After a
- 1:39:08few seconds, it headed straight towards Cassandra, who screamed so
- 1:39:12loud I thought my ear drums were going to burst.
- 1:39:16It began to awkwardly make its way towards her home,
- 1:39:18taking wide steps and fumbling as it tried to speed up. Ah,
- 1:39:23hell no, is that a Russian? Accent?
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: Was a Russian?
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: So it says? Oh, hell no.
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: I'm not talking about your intonation on the character. Your assumption.
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: Is he Russian?
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: No? No, I'm I'm trying to attack you directly, hunter,
- 1:39:46Oh alright?
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: Is that Russian?
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: It shook the ground with each steptter and I held
- 1:39:51on to a nearby fence for balance. The police pulled
- 1:39:54out their guns and shot at it a few times,
- 1:39:56but it continued to walk unfazed. Cassandra dart between two
- 1:40:00of the officers and headed towards Tom and me.
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: What is she doing? Why is she running this way?
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: Pumpkin Monster pivoted and began making its way towards us
- 1:40:08as well. Sandra ran past us, looking back towards the
- 1:40:11monster for a second. She continued to run down the street,
- 1:40:14and Tom and I moved out of the Monster's way
- 1:40:16as it chased after After a few seconds, Tom took
- 1:40:20off after it as well.
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: Where you going? Don't you want to see what happens?
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: I hesitated for a second before I followed, Hey, come
- 1:40:28back here, an officer called after us. I do think
- 1:40:31it's kind of like so much stuff happens in the town.
- 1:40:34Clearly this is like, you know, goose Bombs, fun pumpkin
- 1:40:36monster thing, but it's it's funny how so much death
- 1:40:41and weird stuff happens in town that their friend is like, Yeah,
- 1:40:44Pumpkin deit, he's gonna get her. Don't you want to watch?
- 1:40:48Don't you want to see her get like a viscerrated
- 1:40:50by a pumpkin person.
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it feels like this is like Carly Beth from
- 1:40:54Goosebumps mixed in with a Sandlot the guy running at
- 1:40:57the end from the way from the dog. Yeah, it's
- 1:40:59gonna be vibe. So it's now all I'm mixed hearing
- 1:41:03is wipe Out playing.
- 1:41:04Speaker 10: Oh, wipe Out.
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: You know whatever? That deal is not what they played
- 1:41:09during the At the end of when he's running, it's like, oh, yeah, I.
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: Thought you were talking about the TV show Wipeout. That's what. Yeah,
- 1:41:16you're the song. Yeah.
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: In the nineteen nineteen ninety two film, they're watching clips
- 1:41:22of wipe Out.
- 1:41:22Speaker 10: The boom.
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I got it.
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: The Russia the hell fuck fuck got big stretch.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: Goddamn. We made it to the end of the street
- 1:41:37just in time to see Kitch Sandra trip and roll
- 1:41:40down the small hill. She stopped and listened to her screams,
- 1:41:42and she kept rolling down the hill. No fucking way,
- 1:41:46Tom whispered. We kept watching as Cassandra rolled straight into
- 1:41:49another pumpkin patch, her head making contact with the biggest pumpkins,
- 1:41:53slamming right through it. With a dull thud.
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: My god, she's dead.
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: The pumpkin monster tripped down the field, falling over Cassandra's
- 1:42:00lifeless body and falling apart all over her in the
- 1:42:02pumpkin patch. Cobs finally caught up and raced down the
- 1:42:06hill to check on Cassandra. But I was right. She
- 1:42:09had died. Not even an hour later, there was a
- 1:42:13town wide announcement no more pumpkins and point pine Ever,
- 1:42:17Tom and I watched from the top of the hill
- 1:42:19as people carried the pumpkins away to burn them at
- 1:42:21the edges of town. Someone had already taken Cassandra's body away,
- 1:42:25but left the pumpkin that her head was smashed through.
- 1:42:29For days, all that anyone talked about was Cassandra's freak accident.
- 1:42:33At night, Cassandra was seen again. Multiple people reported seeing
- 1:42:37her walking around town, sobbing and asking for help. I
- 1:42:41was one of them. I heard her cries in the
- 1:42:43middle of the night, looked up my bedroom window to
- 1:42:45see her standing in the middle of the road right
- 1:42:47outside her house. She was starty and bruised, covered in
- 1:42:51pumpkin cuts dried up blood. She cried loudly, gasping from
- 1:42:55breath while she screamed, son't help me play please, I
- 1:43:01hate pumpkins. I continue to watch. Is No one, not
- 1:43:05even her parents, turned on their lights or even looked outside.
- 1:43:09Sandra fell to her knees in the middle of the road,
- 1:43:11continuing to cry, before finally falling face first, the forehead
- 1:43:15pressed to the road.
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: Please.
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: She continued to cry for a few minutes, and I
- 1:43:20backed away from the window got back into bed. After
- 1:43:23a few minutes, she started to scream. She's done this
- 1:43:26every single night since she died. She screams about how
- 1:43:30we should have listened to her. Getting rid of the pumpkins.
- 1:43:33Now won't stop anything. He claims that they'll come back
- 1:43:36and that we're all gonna die. I guess one thing
- 1:43:39that kind of sucks about Point Pine is that the
- 1:43:41dad never really leave. That's a fun entry. I like it.
- 1:43:46The girl who's afraid of Pumpkins gets tortured with pumpkins
- 1:43:48and then pumpkin monster gets her again. Very goosebumps.
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: Yeah what.
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't like it? You were.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: It's it is fun. It is very goosebumps. I just
- 1:44:02I wish that they all had that cad, like if
- 1:44:04that's supposed to be. So the next thing that we're
- 1:44:06reading is a secret entry. That was the last one,
- 1:44:09right Public Point Pine and Industry Injury. I kind of
- 1:44:12wish that they were all. I just wish there was
- 1:44:14a bit more cohesion between all of them, like I liked.
- 1:44:16I liked the last three or the last two were
- 1:44:19like the first one where it's I think there's a parade.
- 1:44:21I like the idea of this town being a place
- 1:44:23where it's like, all this weird shit happens. No one's
- 1:44:25gonna be faced by a pumpkin monster. Yeah, but people
- 1:44:27are still tortured and they're you know, it's like still
- 1:44:30a horror story for whoever's being affected. Sure, you know,
- 1:44:34but the the stuff that's like all cohesive throughout the
- 1:44:36middle of section of it feels like that was just
- 1:44:38kind of throwing, which I don't know, maybe there's something
- 1:44:41out of here.
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: I mean each one was kind of like its own.
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: Each entry was.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: Now, did you not feel like it was building towards
- 1:44:49something other than some of the bad's gonna happen? But
- 1:44:51I think that the entire everything with Point Pines building
- 1:44:54towards something bad. It's going to happen, Like that's a
- 1:44:56I don't think it was building towards anything. It was
- 1:44:58just vignettes because each story was from a different perspective
- 1:45:01of a different thing happening. Like the only thing that
- 1:45:05happened twice was the parade, but the second time wasn't
- 1:45:09even really about the parade as much as it was
- 1:45:11like how much the town hates outsider.
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: I think the way that the characters were interwoven made
- 1:45:16it seem like there was something that was coming in.
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: I could see that. I didn't really get that to me.
- 1:45:21It was more so just like, yeah, here's a guy
- 1:45:23from this other story doing another thing. Because and if anything,
- 1:45:27that was reinforcing to me, like yeah, no matter what
- 1:45:29these guys go through, it is just one of many.
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: Yeah, And I guess if that's the case, that's if
- 1:45:34that's what we're saying, then I wish it was just
- 1:45:35somebody entirely new you know, because bringing it back to
- 1:45:39people that we've known, that's like, oh, well, this guy's
- 1:45:41come back. He's been gone, he came back, and people
- 1:45:43are like, ooh, weird out by it. That's fine, but
- 1:45:46it's like, I just kind of wish they were all
- 1:45:48just random vignettes of just different people in this area.
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: But I could understand that.
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: Uh yeah, this next one, the last one here is
- 1:45:54a entry that has never been published. We get to
- 1:45:57read it here the History Point Mind to the Wrong
- 1:46:01God for the final entry of the Point Pine series.
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: Again, you could check out the other episode and the
- 1:46:06link of the description on the master list, but this
- 1:46:07is the one that was sent directly to us by Gabby,
- 1:46:09which thank you very much, Gabby, Thank you Gamby the
- 1:46:12History of Point Pine. A prayer to the Wrong God
- 1:46:15in the middle of the dark and cold forest. Began
- 1:46:17to think this was my end. I was going to
- 1:46:20die here in the middle of nowhere, and I would
- 1:46:23have the dumbest obituary in the whole town. Wilmer Moore,
- 1:46:26aged twenty two, loving brother and son got lost in
- 1:46:30the woods while getting high and FROs to death in
- 1:46:32the middle of the night like an idiot. Cold air
- 1:46:35had pretty much killed my buzz at this point, and
- 1:46:38the fear began to creep in. I fought hard to
- 1:46:41stop it because I wasn't completely alert and the last
- 1:46:44thing I needed was to get paranoid. I hyper focused
- 1:46:47on my steps, putting one foot in front of the other.
- 1:46:50I decided a few minutes back that I was going
- 1:46:53to pick a direction and head that way in a
- 1:46:55straight line. I figured that was my best shot, and
- 1:46:58I would eventually either hit the road that led into
- 1:47:01town or I'd fall off a cliff. At this point,
- 1:47:04I'd welcome either one of those options. I couldn't see
- 1:47:08the moon, and I remember thinking it was because of
- 1:47:10the weed at first, but as I scanned the night sky,
- 1:47:13I realized it was absent. It's funny, it's like there's
- 1:47:17no moon. I must be pretty Oh no, it is gone,
- 1:47:20got it? The moon is.
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: In fact, it seemed like the point Pine place. I mean,
- 1:47:24if it is like a purgatory, but it does feel
- 1:47:26like it's just existing in nothing. Yeah, like it's definitely
- 1:47:29not in our world.
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: Well that's kind of the thought I got by the
- 1:47:31darkness that was around the oak that one day before
- 1:47:34it disappeared. Yeah, yeah, it feels like it's in space,
- 1:47:37floating somewhere. Maybe tonight it's a new moon. I thought
- 1:47:41it was easier to hold on to that explanation, given
- 1:47:43the fact that I had no idea when the cycles
- 1:47:45of the moon happened. Then I began to fear that
- 1:47:47I had died in this darkness, as well as the
- 1:47:50fear that came with it was my personal hell somehow.
- 1:47:54I don't know how long I walked before I saw it,
- 1:47:57small dim light off in the distance. My first thought
- 1:48:01was that I was seeing the light that remained on
- 1:48:03the point Pine Bakery, but it was different, and I
- 1:48:06still wasn't seeing any of the other buildings in town,
- 1:48:09so it couldn't have been that. As I continued heading
- 1:48:11towards it, it was in the path, the direction I'd chosen.
- 1:48:15I soon realized that it was a porch light, and
- 1:48:18I'd walked right up to a small cabin that was
- 1:48:20hidden amongst the trees. I had seen things that were
- 1:48:23a lot weirder than this before, so I walked up
- 1:48:26and knocked on the door. When it opened, I recognized
- 1:48:29the occupant. It was Robert Ford, the oldest child. A
- 1:48:33lot of people thought he was a myth, another creepy
- 1:48:36story that was made up by someone years ago and
- 1:48:39easily believed because it paled in comparison to some of
- 1:48:41the other things that took place in Point Pine. Robert
- 1:48:45was said to have been a child since fifteen ninety eight.
- 1:48:49He's seen in some older photographs that can be found
- 1:48:51in the archives of the library detailing some of the
- 1:48:54town's history. Of course, the photographs only go back so far,
- 1:48:58but it's widely believed that he was a child long
- 1:49:01before those images were taken. As I stared at Robert,
- 1:49:04I realized that before this I had not believed in
- 1:49:07his existence. I had seen the images we all had,
- 1:49:10as they were part of our curriculum in school, but
- 1:49:12I didn't believe that he was real till I was
- 1:49:15face to face with him. There the dark and cold formars. Yes,
- 1:49:20he asked, after waiting for me to speak, I'm lost.
- 1:49:24Stepped aside and let me in. The Inside of the
- 1:49:26cabin was what you'd expect, small kitchen, couch, radio, and
- 1:49:30a bed. There was room off to the back, which
- 1:49:33I assume was some sort of bathroom. I sat on
- 1:49:36the couch.
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: Did you come from town, Robert asked.
- 1:49:39Speaker 2: He didn't sit. I nodded, I'm all so high, of course,
- 1:49:45stared at him, and he stared at me.
- 1:49:46Speaker 6: Would you like some water?
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: I nodded, and he walked over to his kitchen. He
- 1:49:51was a boy, looked to be around eleven or so,
- 1:49:55but I was never really good with kids. Were guessing
- 1:49:57their ages?
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: How old are you?
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: And slipped out of my mouth as soon as I
- 1:50:01thought it.
- 1:50:02Speaker 6: That depends on the answer that you're looking for.
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: Robber replied, is he had to be a cup of water.
- 1:50:08Took a sip. It was room temperature, but it felt
- 1:50:10weird to a complain.
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: Have you always been a child?
- 1:50:14Speaker 6: Have you always been your age?
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: Shook my head.
- 1:50:17Speaker 6: No, neither have I.
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: When did you stop aging?
- 1:50:20Speaker 6: When I was twelve?
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: I was close off by one year.
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: Is it weird being like a child your whole life?
- 1:50:28Speaker 6: Well, I'm not really a child, I just look like one.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: That's problematic.
- 1:50:33Speaker 6: I suppose our problems are different.
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: Then drank the rest of the water.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: How come you never come into town? Some people think
- 1:50:39you don't exist.
- 1:50:40Speaker 9: To think all these images of you are photoshopped. I
- 1:50:44exist for a reason other than being a citizen of
- 1:50:46Point Pine.
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: What reason?
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: Robert sat down on the floor in front of me
- 1:50:50Ur's across Apple Sauce.
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: Do they still teach the history of Pointe Pine in school?
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: They tell us about the settlers. You came here and
- 1:50:58liked how like how secluded it was, and they set
- 1:51:02up a town far and far enough away from everyone else.
- 1:51:05They were never bothered. Blah blah blah blah blah. Then
- 1:51:08the bad stuff, then the best stuff started happening.
- 1:51:11Speaker 9: Ah, So they change the story again again. Yes, the
- 1:51:16last time someone came around here they told me a
- 1:51:19different version. It seems like the version you were taught
- 1:51:21differs even from the original.
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: Wait, so what's the original?
- 1:51:27Speaker 7: Are you sure you want to know?
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: Why wouldn't I? You can unlearn.
- 1:51:33Speaker 9: Things, and sometimes certain kinds of knowledge can be a
- 1:51:37burden or a curse.
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: Ignorance is bliss, as they.
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: Say, I will say so far, this is probably my
- 1:51:44one of my favorite setups. I really love the idea
- 1:51:47of like there's like this immortal child because everything's so
- 1:51:50weird in town, but it's like the oracle who's seen everything,
- 1:51:54like remembers the old history that keeps getting buried and
- 1:51:56stuff like that. I think that's a fun setup. In
- 1:51:59another situation. I would have been deeply unsettled by Robert's demeanor,
- 1:52:03I want to know, nodded, leaning in towards him.
- 1:52:06Speaker 6: Okay, then, but please remember that you asked me for this.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: He nodded again. He began.
- 1:52:13Speaker 6: European settlers ended up in Point Pine years ago, but
- 1:52:18not because.
- 1:52:18Speaker 7: They liked the isolation.
- 1:52:20Speaker 9: They got lost on the way to their actual destination, Jamestown, Virginia.
- 1:52:25I was very, very very young then, so the details
- 1:52:28of this are a bit murky. But some of these
- 1:52:31settlers believed they had arrived in Virginia, and some swore
- 1:52:34that they had seen sign leading them to the destination.
- 1:52:37Once they were here, however, in Point Pine, they realized
- 1:52:41that they were wrong.
- 1:52:42Speaker 4: They weren't in.
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: Virginia at all.
- 1:52:44Speaker 6: They decided to stop.
- 1:52:45Speaker 9: Here and rest, but that ended up being the worst
- 1:52:48decision they could have possibly made. By the time morning came,
- 1:52:51the road that they had followed into the area was gone.
- 1:52:54It had disappeared, and the sign that they had sworn
- 1:52:57was leading them into Jamestown had changed and now said
- 1:53:00something else.
- 1:53:01Speaker 7: Welcomed to Point Pine. Population unknown. A few people tried
- 1:53:06to leave the town.
- 1:53:07Speaker 6: They tried walking through the forest, but they got lost,
- 1:53:10and not.
- 1:53:10Speaker 7: All of them made it back.
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: Outside. The winds picked up a bit, and I could
- 1:53:15hear the sound of the trees rustling in the night.
- 1:53:18Speaker 9: Very quickly, the settlers realized that there was something very
- 1:53:21wrong with the land.
- 1:53:23Speaker 6: There was a reason why this place was so isolated.
- 1:53:26Speaker 9: Why even the natives have left it alone, with remnants
- 1:53:29of dilapidated buildings and homes scattered across the land.
- 1:53:33Speaker 7: Once they realized they couldn't.
- 1:53:34Speaker 6: Safely leave, they had no choice but to stay and build.
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: They needed to find water and food.
- 1:53:39Speaker 9: And so they searched, and they found something, not the
- 1:53:43something they were looking for, but something to help them.
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: Robert paused. He dragged his fingers across the floor of
- 1:53:50the cabin slowly.
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: What did they find?
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: They thought it was God. They prayed and brought offerings.
- 1:53:58They prayed for food and heard of sheep came wandering
- 1:54:01out of the forest. They prayed for water, and they
- 1:54:03began to spray from the earth. So they kept praying
- 1:54:06and they kept bringing it offerings, mainly food and crops.
- 1:54:10Once they had those, soon though, people started to get sick.
- 1:54:16Speaker 7: More specifically, the children stopped looking me in the eye.
- 1:54:21They prayed for the children.
- 1:54:23Speaker 6: Some prayed harder than others, offered more.
- 1:54:26Speaker 7: Than others, made deeper promises.
- 1:54:28Speaker 9: They thought this thing was God, so when their children
- 1:54:31were saved, when their children, when their child woke up
- 1:54:33the next morning completely fine, they had no reason to
- 1:54:36think that something sinister was coming, or they had brought
- 1:54:39it upon themselves.
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: So it wasn't God.
- 1:54:44Speaker 6: It was a God, just not the God they wanted,
- 1:54:48which God wasn't.
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: Then Robert shook his head.
- 1:54:51Speaker 7: Other things, other gods one more in return.
- 1:54:56Speaker 9: Other gods are not always good, or just sometime, or
- 1:55:00just sometimes, they're not gods at all, but always know
- 1:55:05how to convince you that they are.
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: Aired at him. I wanted him to explain, but I
- 1:55:09knew he would have.
- 1:55:11Speaker 9: Soon things began to happen. People would die and they
- 1:55:15wouldn't be dead. People would hear things and see things.
- 1:55:19It didn't take long for people to make the connection
- 1:55:21to realize that what they had been praying to was
- 1:55:23not God. They intended to praise, but it was far
- 1:55:26too late, and other people didn't care. Other people had
- 1:55:30different ideas. They didn't fear this thing. Instead, they saw
- 1:55:33it as a resource, as a way to get things
- 1:55:36they wanted things they couldn't get any other way, like
- 1:55:40what what kinds of things? After I almost died, my
- 1:55:44mother became paranoid. She was afraid that I would be
- 1:55:48taken away from her any minute, and when she found
- 1:55:50out that she wasn't able to have any more children,
- 1:55:52the fear intensified. It concerned her, so she became a
- 1:55:57believer in this God, a devout follower, willing to do
- 1:56:01whatever it took in order to keep her children safe
- 1:56:03and alive.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: I'm eating this up. This is what I wanted out
- 1:56:08of this.
- 1:56:08Speaker 9: I had been alive for about sixteen years before my
- 1:56:11father realized what she had done.
- 1:56:13Speaker 6: And even then he did not know the full scope
- 1:56:16of it. Even now, the deal she made is not
- 1:56:20entirely clear to me.
- 1:56:21Speaker 9: All I know is that my father, with the limited
- 1:56:24details he had had the assumptions he had made, became enraged,
- 1:56:28and one night he confronted her.
- 1:56:31Speaker 6: They fought for what felt like hours, but it was so.
- 1:56:34Speaker 7: Long that I couldn't really tell you.
- 1:56:36Speaker 6: I don't know if my mother eventually confessed to the magnitude.
- 1:56:39Speaker 9: Of her crimes to him, or at the anger was
- 1:56:41too much fider control. But that night before the sun rose.
- 1:56:47My mother was dead. The next day the parade started.
- 1:56:52He was doastating you. You know how it works, you
- 1:56:55you know how you have to hide and then you
- 1:56:58know where to hide. But they didn't know anything. They
- 1:57:02didn't know, they couldn't look, they didn't know it needed
- 1:57:04to sacrifice.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: Did you see it?
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: I asked, throw it was dry again. But I didn't
- 1:57:09want Robert to stop telling me the story.
- 1:57:11Speaker 7: I've seen it.
- 1:57:12Speaker 9: Yes, it took hours to clean up the dead bodies
- 1:57:16after the parade came through. That's what it did to
- 1:57:19the first time. He killed everyone in its path. He
- 1:57:22lit a fire inside them. Nope, then and they cooked
- 1:57:25from the inside out. The smell of cooked flesh lingered
- 1:57:29in the air for weeks after that. As a reminder,
- 1:57:33the next time that music started we ran. There were
- 1:57:37less casualties that time. What happened the second time?
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I thinking about the in his eyes were cleared,
- 1:57:44his throat thend the cabin, towards the window on the
- 1:57:47far left wall.
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: I didn't answer, Ah, why don't they teach us this?
- 1:57:53Why did they change the story?
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's picking up on the idea that he didn't
- 1:57:57want to tell me. What happened the second time.
- 1:58:01Speaker 7: Like I said, ignorance is bliss.
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: Set in silence for a while. I thought he would
- 1:58:07continue tell me more details, but he didn't. I mentally
- 1:58:10kicked myself, figuring that I had ruined my chances of
- 1:58:13learning more with my questions. I stopped myself from asking
- 1:58:17anything else as I sat there thinking about what he
- 1:58:19had just revealed to me. You'll have to leave soon,
- 1:58:26he said, breaking the silence.
- 1:58:27Speaker 6: What I apologize. I don't mean to be rude, but
- 1:58:30you'll have to go.
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: Stood up and held the empty cup back out to him.
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: Can I have some water?
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: He took it and walked back to his kitchen.
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: So how do I get back?
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: He ended me the cup and I drank it all
- 1:58:42in large rush gulps. Took the cup for me and
- 1:58:45opened the door, motioning for me to step outside.
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: Can you put me in the direction of town I
- 1:58:49got lost earlier when I was smoking the woods.
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: Robert shook his head.
- 1:58:54Speaker 7: It won't matter, you'll never make it back.
- 1:58:56Speaker 2: Rose in the doorway.
- 1:58:58Speaker 9: What do you mean things that you can't know? Like
- 1:59:02I said before, this is some knowledge that is cursed.
- 1:59:06Well you learned here tonight. Wouldn't do anyone to point
- 1:59:08by it any good? Why do you think I'm out here?
- 1:59:11Why do you think they stopped letting me go back
- 1:59:13into town? Why do you think they changed the story
- 1:59:16every few years? So what am I supposed to do?
- 1:59:19I can't live out in the woods a star or
- 1:59:21a freeze to death.
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: Robert shrugged.
- 1:59:24Speaker 7: I tried to warn you.
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: That was That was barely even a warning. I want
- 1:59:28to go home.
- 1:59:29Speaker 2: I realized I was shouting, like the aspiration echoing.
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: In the night.
- 1:59:33Speaker 6: You can't and you need to get out of my house.
- 1:59:37Speaker 2: Stepped out into the forest. Sun was rising. But that
- 1:59:40didn't seem right. It'd have been inside Robert's cabin for
- 1:59:42that long.
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: Good luck. Wilmer turned around.
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: As Robert was closing his door.
- 1:59:48Speaker 6: Cody made it back.
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: He paused, how long ago?
- 1:59:54Speaker 7: A few months?
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: My palms were beginning to sweat as the paranoid began
- 1:59:58to creep in. Glanced was the west. He was remembering something.
- 2:00:03Speaker 7: You're going to be very glad that you're out of
- 2:00:05that town.
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: Ah. Interesting With that, he shut the door, and the
- 2:00:11singing began. I fell to the floor and wrapped my
- 2:00:14hands over my head, shielding my eyes from what was
- 2:00:16to come. It never came. Bors continued like usual, only louder,
- 2:00:22like the melody was coming from the ground, trees and leaves,
- 2:00:26like it was coming from inside of me. But the
- 2:00:28parade never came. After a few minutes, the music stopped,
- 2:00:33and I peeked, seeing nothing. I stood back up and
- 2:00:36noticed that Robert's cabin was gone. I looked around, thinking
- 2:00:40I'd somehow gotten lost, though I knew that was impossible,
- 2:00:43as I hadn't moved a single inch. Even though there
- 2:00:46was more light now, the woods felt quieter and more
- 2:00:49dangerous than before, felt lonelier, somehow too emptier than they
- 2:00:54had felt when I first gotten lost or even found Robert.
- 2:00:58I thought about what he said about how I would
- 2:01:00never go back, his voice repeated in my head as
- 2:01:03I tried to calm myself down. Finally, I looked toward
- 2:01:07the direction Robert had looked before he shut the door
- 2:01:09in my face and began walking again, open to eventually
- 2:01:13hit town, as I praged whatever God was listening that
- 2:01:16would make it back home.
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: That's the end.
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: She should upload that that one was really good.
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: But hey, Gabby, what the fuck is going on with Cody?
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: Well, Cody's like a harbinger of something.
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: Either is what happened? Though I want to what we
- 2:01:30never we never figure.
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: Out what it is. Well, clearly this isn't the end
- 2:01:34of the series.
- 2:01:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm curious. Was the last time that she wrote, Well,
- 2:01:39it was years it was six years ago without masterless posts.
- 2:01:42But she said, I'll update the list as I keep going.
- 2:01:45And maybe they started working on other projects, because there
- 2:01:48are comments from like two months ago saying why did
- 2:01:50you never like continue.
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: To don't pull?
- 2:01:54Speaker 6: Don't pull George R.
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: Martin on us, please don't I need to know gab.
- 2:02:00So she wrote a lot no sleep.
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: It looks like maybe the point puns, like the sequels
- 2:02:03weren't getting a ton of attention. She went back to
- 2:02:05standalones and they were getting more attention. Uh so, I
- 2:02:08totally get that as a creator, being like, if it
- 2:02:09doesn't working, I'll go somewhere else.
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: Even if you don't well, even if you don't finish it,
- 2:02:14send me a damn send me an email.
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: Yeah. So after well, what's funny is so she went
- 2:02:22back to posting like standalone stories and she has been
- 2:02:26making bank because, like she did, the woman in my
- 2:02:29family give birth differently four point one thousand up votes.
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: She make him bank.
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: She did well rank read of like bank bank, because
- 2:02:36then I mean like US bank.
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: Could you cash this check for me please?
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I didn't mean that.
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: Conversion to the USD to Karma gold.
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: I didn't mean that in the reddit sense I have
- 2:02:48to save my save a little bit of my credibility here.
- 2:02:50I didn't mean that in the red sense. I met
- 2:02:51that and that people kept click.
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's been doing very good. Yes, she said
- 2:02:55she did. This is four years ago.
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: My sisters, I've been locked in an addict for twenty
- 2:02:58four hours two point eight thousand like she has.
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: She has an extremely dedicated fan.
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: Let's also keep in mind the most upvoted story on
- 2:03:05No Sleep one hundred percent.
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: I'm not questioning that she's not. I'm just I'm upset
- 2:03:10because I don't know. I'm Simmy, Simmy I'm saying.
- 2:03:14Speaker 2: I'm saying that should mean I'm saying I understand why
- 2:03:16if people aren't reading your sequels to point pine, you
- 2:03:19move on to sandal loads. I get that, But hopefully
- 2:03:21with this video, I think you can do both. I
- 2:03:24think you can do both too. But I hope that
- 2:03:26this gets interest in Point Pine, that she continues it
- 2:03:28and she should. Gabby, you should absolutely post that last entry.
- 2:03:32I think that might be my favorite terry, like that
- 2:03:34one the whole thing I do.
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: I do think I like Pine series works best in
- 2:03:38my opinion, as I like the connection between all the characters,
- 2:03:42like it can be new characters, but they're interwoven. I
- 2:03:45was having fun when it was intertwining in that way.
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: I think. I think if she has an eventual goal,
- 2:03:50because they talk about once you leave Point Pine, you
- 2:03:52can ever come back. Yeah, somehow Cody comes back right
- 2:03:54after his dad dies. We don't get any explanation on
- 2:03:57that yet, So I think Cody is a sort of
- 2:03:59like a prophet almost or a harbinger come back to
- 2:04:02the town. So I think there's more that can be
- 2:04:04done there. So I think it makes sense to have
- 2:04:06some stories that mentioned Cody if he's gonna be so
- 2:04:08big in later entries. Uh, but then that in line
- 2:04:11with the kid where he's like, you're gonna be thankful
- 2:04:14you're not in that town then and yeah, you also
- 2:04:17have a line from the angel that something bad's coming.
- 2:04:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: That's what I mean is there's a lot of unanswered questions,
- 2:04:22right now don't pull George R. Martin, please let us
- 2:04:24give a little something. I will say too, though, the
- 2:04:26three the three main characters that we had that was Lee, Cody,
- 2:04:30and Red the uh.
- 2:04:34Speaker 2: I like that.
- 2:04:34Speaker 1: It could be anybody in the town, but it's just
- 2:04:36a small connection between them. It just it adds a
- 2:04:39level of cohesion. That's why I was just like with
- 2:04:41the bear one, it is what it is, the carnival
- 2:04:43and all that kind of stuff, and the pumpkin one,
- 2:04:45that's fine, but I do think like that lack of
- 2:04:47that kind of intertwining was it took me out because
- 2:04:50I was getting so invested into that even I mean
- 2:04:54even the one Lee is barely in the apartment when
- 2:04:56he motherfucker just keeps flying out and my goddamn.
- 2:04:59Speaker 2: Loop pull time.
- 2:05:00Speaker 1: That was a fun like a little oh yeah, a
- 2:05:02little more. Yeah, No, it was a lot of fun.
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: I call me, well, I don't know about that, but
- 2:05:08I really really that.
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: Just give me a call one call, hey, this is
- 2:05:12what happened. Oh okay, cool.
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: I really liked that. I loved the last one. I
- 2:05:17love the direction that it is. Uh that he was
- 2:05:20a kid when the first Suttlers got there and they
- 2:05:22keep changing the story because people can't know it, and
- 2:05:24they prayed to a god, and like his mother was
- 2:05:27a first convert, and you can see how somehow his
- 2:05:30mother prayed really hard that he wouldn't die, and it
- 2:05:32looks like she got her wish because he's still alive
- 2:05:34even now.
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I imagine that Cody probably intertwined with that boy
- 2:05:37out there in the wood somewhere. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's
- 2:05:40a lot of fun stuff there.
- 2:05:41Speaker 2: And then I love at the end when the stoner's
- 2:05:43like trying to find He's like, so I prayed to
- 2:05:45whatever God would listen. It's like we hear about the
- 2:05:47mistakes that led to this in the first place, where
- 2:05:50you know, they're so desperate to get back to civilization
- 2:05:53or they're so desperate to survive that everyone prayed to
- 2:05:55this being that was good enough of a god for
- 2:05:58a time. And then the story with the stone are
- 2:06:00doing the same thing. It's like, well, it may not
- 2:06:02be for the best, but I'm scared right now, So
- 2:06:04I'm gonna.
- 2:06:04Speaker 1: Have some a nice cheese campness to the story that
- 2:06:07I think is good that once again it hearkens back
- 2:06:10to tales from the gas station and tales from a
- 2:06:13lonely broadcast station that I think people really resonate with.
- 2:06:17I think also once again fun. I think having characters
- 2:06:19that are that keep popping up makes it more too
- 2:06:22to where I think you get you become more attached
- 2:06:24to those characters and stuff. But I will say the
- 2:06:26Point Pne, the Point Pine town itself is just a
- 2:06:29fun backdrop that I think it'd be cool to keep exploring.
- 2:06:31I still think you can once again do standalone stories
- 2:06:33and still just dip into that selfishly move.
- 2:06:36Speaker 2: I would love to see way more Point Pine stuff.
- 2:06:39Like I said the master list, there's another Point Pint
- 2:06:40entry for you all to read if you're interested. And
- 2:06:43also please support you know, Gabby of course, and all
- 2:06:46that stuff as it certainly deserves it. Gabby, please post

- 2:06:54phone number.
