- 0:22Speaker 3: then continued to keep us on edge and at times
- 0:25Speaker 3: perplexed us after his time on the show. We're gonna
- 0:28Speaker 3: talk about his breakup, his celibacy, and more Bachelor to
- 0:32Speaker 3: Bachelor content. Please welcome Grant Ellis to the Almost Famous Podcast. Grant,
- 0:39Speaker 3: we have a lot to talk about today. I don't
- 0:41Speaker 3: know if you saw. You're obviously in Los Angeles right now.
- 0:44Speaker 3: We're going to talk about some of the stuff you're
- 0:46Speaker 3: up to in LA. But we just had my co host, Ashley,
- 0:51Speaker 3: had an interview with Letia just a few days ago.
- 0:54Speaker 2: She told us.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Some of the behind the scenes to your season. It's
- 0:59Speaker 3: only fair that we also get your perspective on some
- 1:03Speaker 3: of the things that we.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Talked about with her.
- 1:06Speaker 3: But before we get started, Grant, welcome to the Listener's podcast.
- 1:10Speaker 4: And you guys are having me have Yeah, I saw
- 1:12Speaker 4: the podcast with Latia, and I would love to give
- 1:15Speaker 4: you my perspective because obviously it's one side to the
- 1:19Speaker 4: to the equation, but I would love to Yeah, I would.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Love to dive in. Thanks for having me, guys.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Before we kind of get into the meat of this,
- 1:26Speaker 3: there's so many things I want to talk to you about.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I want to talk to you about this this deal
- 1:32Speaker 3: that we've seen you talk promoting called the Reality Games.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Can you tell us what this is?
- 1:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just one of my really good friends has
- 1:42Speaker 4: a pretty big agency out here and he's hosting The
- 1:45Speaker 4: Reality Games. Is some some influencers, some of the top
- 1:48Speaker 4: influences in the space, from some guys from Love Island,
- 1:53Speaker 4: some people I would be the representation from Bachelor Nation
- 1:56Speaker 4: and it's we're team captain's and we're hosting like a combine.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Is gonna be dodgeball, basketball football for a prize, and
- 2:03Speaker 4: it's all going to be streamed on Twitch. So it's
- 2:05Speaker 4: a good way to to reach a new audience, to
- 2:08Speaker 4: reach the younger audience and just send a positive, positive message.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Now, I also saw it's going to be held in
- 2:15Speaker 3: the professional soccer stadium there.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, how many people will be there live I'm.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Not sure how many people are gonna be there, but
- 2:23Speaker 4: it is. We're gonna We're inviting one hundred kids. It's
- 2:27Speaker 4: the largest toy drive in America, so there's gonna be
- 2:30Speaker 4: a lot of kids there. There's gonna be a lot
- 2:31Speaker 4: of family, a lot of friends, and it's gonna be
- 2:32Speaker 4: streamed live on the internet.
- 2:34Speaker 5: So it's gonna be it's a it's a pretty cool event.
- 2:37Speaker 2: When's it taking place?
- 2:39Speaker 5: December thirteenth is the date.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Okay, so there's a you have a little bit of time.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Who else in Bachelor Nation is going to be a
- 2:46Speaker 3: part of it?
- 2:47Speaker 4: I know my friend Brandon Jones actually drafted him from
- 2:51Speaker 4: I think he was from Michelle season.
- 2:52Speaker 5: But that's gonna be really it from Bachelor Nation.
- 2:54Speaker 4: We're kind of like, you know, we got a couple
- 2:57Speaker 4: people in Bachlin Nation, a couple people in Love Island,
- 2:59Speaker 4: a cop from a different other reality shows.
- 3:03Speaker 2: So okay, cool.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So if somebody wants to watch this, twitch would be
- 3:07Speaker 3: the best place, best platform to tune in December thirteenth.
- 3:11Speaker 3: You said it will be live watching some of your
- 3:14Speaker 3: favorite people from Love Island. Dat donations some of the
- 3:18Speaker 3: other shows compete for the reality Olympics.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Is that a fair way to say it.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Yeah, Yeah, it's the first it's the first one.
- 3:26Speaker 4: So we're hoping to get it off with a good
- 3:27Speaker 4: start and also helping me promoting get my message out
- 3:31Speaker 4: there on my Twitch. So yeah, December thirteenth, it'll be
- 3:33Speaker 4: live and it'll be it'll be a good show.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Awesome.
- 3:37Speaker 3: All right, let's dive into some of the things that
- 3:39Speaker 3: we want to hear from you about Grant. As I mentioned,
- 3:44Speaker 3: we had a Latie on the podcast. The episode has
- 3:48Speaker 3: been listened by many at this point. One of the
- 3:52Speaker 3: things she said that I think stood out to the
- 3:54Speaker 3: listeners was that she said that you told her and
- 3:58Speaker 3: assured her that she was the one, which is why
- 4:01Speaker 3: the breakup felt so shocking to her. It's why it
- 4:05Speaker 3: felt watching it back that she was so surprised. But
- 4:10Speaker 3: you recently said on a podcast that you didn't say that.
- 4:12Speaker 3: You said you were trying to talk through the process
- 4:14Speaker 3: with multiple women, that you never assured Latia that she
- 4:18Speaker 3: was the one.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So who is telling the truth?
- 4:22Speaker 5: Yeah, listen.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Since the airing of the show, I think, obviously I
- 4:26Speaker 4: understand Latia's perspective. I understand that she was her, but
- 4:30Speaker 4: she said a lot of things that I didn't say.
- 4:33Speaker 4: I mean, she also said that I told people that
- 4:35Speaker 4: I slept with Juliana. She went on a podcast, so
- 4:38Speaker 4: she said a lot of things that I didn't say.
- 4:40Speaker 4: And you know, they're all behind camera, and that's fine.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Everybody's allowed to have their opinion, our perspective. But I
- 4:47Speaker 4: don't think with me being a lead and me being
- 4:50Speaker 4: miked up, and you know, when you sign a contract
- 4:52Speaker 4: be the lead, they could very easy dependent on what
- 4:56Speaker 4: can get more views or what's good, they could very editing,
- 4:58Speaker 4: can very easily make you the very of your own season,
- 5:02Speaker 4: or or it could be a great love story. So
- 5:04Speaker 4: when I was doing the show, I was very careful
- 5:07Speaker 4: about what I said. And obviously words are misconstrue, but
- 5:09Speaker 4: I don't think it would be very smart of me
- 5:11Speaker 4: to sit there and be miked up and be telling
- 5:14Speaker 4: somebody that they're my person when I'm dating, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 4: twenty six twenty five with the woman. Now, what I
- 5:21Speaker 4: did tell her, I did tell her I loved her
- 5:22Speaker 4: one hundred percent because I did, and I was in
- 5:25Speaker 4: my heart was in a tough place, you know, I
- 5:27Speaker 4: put my all into it, and yeah, that's that you know,
- 5:31Speaker 4: I don't really have much to speak on it, and
- 5:33Speaker 4: she's allowed to feel how she feels.
- 5:34Speaker 5: But I will say that's not true.
- 5:37Speaker 4: And there's the reason why everything is up for interpretation
- 5:40Speaker 4: is off camera. I never told her I said things
- 5:43Speaker 4: like I'm falling for you. I did fell I fell
- 5:46Speaker 4: in love with her, but ultimately, you know, I realized
- 5:50Speaker 4: that she wasn't my.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Person, and there was a lot of external factors. You know.
- 5:54Speaker 4: I don't think that she was the most honest with
- 5:56Speaker 4: me either, you know. So that's that, and it's okay,
- 6:00Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. That's in the past, and
- 6:02Speaker 4: it's okay. I mean, I don't really appreciate some of
- 6:05Speaker 4: the things, but I understand her hurt, and I understand
- 6:07Speaker 4: where she's coming from, and she's a great human and
- 6:09Speaker 4: I'm sure she doesn't mean any any mal intent.
- 6:11Speaker 5: So that's all I have to say on that.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Is there anything if?
- 6:16Speaker 3: I mean, she was obviously just on the show, she
- 6:20Speaker 3: listens to the podcast. I'm assuming she's going to listen
- 6:24Speaker 3: to this. What would you want to say to her?
- 6:27Speaker 3: I mean, obviously I can relate with you with the
- 6:30Speaker 3: difficulty of processing the last few weeks of the experience
- 6:33Speaker 3: trying to navigate and say the appropriate things and the
- 6:36Speaker 3: right things. I've never shied away from the things I said.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I'm not like proud of them. I don't think it
- 6:45Speaker 3: was helpful, but I you know, it happened, good, bad
- 6:50Speaker 3: and different. So if she's listening to this and you
- 6:54Speaker 3: get a chance to speak to her through a show,
- 6:57Speaker 3: what would you want to tell her?
- 6:59Speaker 4: I would just first of all, I would just apologize, Like,
- 7:01Speaker 4: I know how hard of a situation it is to
- 7:04Speaker 4: be to be broken up with, and I like I've
- 7:08Speaker 4: been through that.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I didn't mean for things to go that way.
- 7:11Speaker 4: It was a difficult choice, but I had to. I
- 7:13Speaker 4: had to go with my heart, and I tried to
- 7:14Speaker 4: be the whole season. I tried to be as upstanding
- 7:18Speaker 4: and as I could now, whether however people want to
- 7:22Speaker 4: view me or ever words got misstrewed. You know, I
- 7:24Speaker 4: don't think you know. Me and Latia had a very
- 7:27Speaker 4: strong connection, you know what I'm saying. We we even
- 7:30Speaker 4: like we had nicknames for each other, even tho as corny.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I genuinely, I genuinely love Latia. But to say that
- 7:39Speaker 4: when I'm dating other people in my connections were just
- 7:41Speaker 4: as strong to say that I was promising somebody the
- 7:45Speaker 4: whole time. That makes me look like a really you know,
- 7:48Speaker 4: if that's true, then I'm a piece.
- 7:50Speaker 5: I'm a really bad person.
- 7:51Speaker 4: And I don't think I went in there with with
- 7:54Speaker 4: those intentions at all.
- 7:55Speaker 5: I think I went in there trying to find my partner.
- 7:57Speaker 5: I had feelings.
- 7:58Speaker 4: I told her how I felt, but I didn't make
- 7:59Speaker 4: any promises to anybody, and I think that's something that, Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 4: that's all I really have to say, And if she's listening,
- 8:06Speaker 4: I would just say I'm sorry for how you feel,
- 8:08Speaker 4: and I hope that you're doing okay.
- 8:09Speaker 3: The whole experience is wild, and obviously the end, the
- 8:12Speaker 3: last few weeks get more difficult. Then really you can
- 8:16Speaker 3: prepare yourself for or imagine what what were some of
- 8:21Speaker 3: the factors that came down to that final decision for you?
- 8:25Speaker 3: You know, I think the audience and this is one
- 8:29Speaker 3: of the difficulties with the Bachelor in general as they
- 8:32Speaker 3: follow along for this season. It all leads up to
- 8:37Speaker 3: the very end, and then we don't get a lot
- 8:40Speaker 3: of like post storytelling. Right, your breakup happened pretty quickly, right,
- 8:46Speaker 3: So what were some of the factors that made you
- 8:48Speaker 3: so confident that Latia wasn't the one you wanted to
- 8:50Speaker 3: choose at the end, and you ended up going and
- 8:52Speaker 3: asking Juliana.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Well, honestly, you know my confidence, I just see I
- 8:56Speaker 4: really struggled with there at the end in my decision.
- 8:59Speaker 4: But I ultimately went with who I felt I could
- 9:03Speaker 4: relate to more in terms of and I'm still learning
- 9:06Speaker 4: as a human.
- 9:06Speaker 5: You know, I've been in two serious relationships.
- 9:09Speaker 4: I went with who I felt most comfortable with in
- 9:12Speaker 4: my story and you know, the family dynamic and you know,
- 9:17Speaker 4: me being on the East Coast and Giuliana being from
- 9:19Speaker 4: the East Coast, and how comfortable I felt with her
- 9:22Speaker 4: family and how much I related to her story. And
- 9:25Speaker 4: I went with somebody I feel like, you know, if
- 9:27Speaker 4: we laid down and talked about our struggles of our life,
- 9:32Speaker 4: I felt like I would. I went with somebody that
- 9:34Speaker 4: was able to understand anymore. That's at least that's how
- 9:37Speaker 4: it felt on the show. After the show, obviously things
- 9:41Speaker 4: were not. You know, it's partly me, partly her things
- 9:44Speaker 4: were not. We're not the most compatible, and that's okay,
- 9:47Speaker 4: but that led to my stays and then also too,
- 9:50Speaker 4: I didn't really know, you know, by the time I
- 9:52Speaker 4: had already told Latilla that I that I there was
- 9:56Speaker 4: an instance where we were sitting on the couch and
- 9:59Speaker 4: you know, we were talking and we were talking and
- 10:02Speaker 4: you know, we had already expressed certain feelings to each
- 10:05Speaker 4: other and how how we felt, and you know, I
- 10:09Speaker 4: wasn't aware of the situation of I don't know, I
- 10:12Speaker 4: don't know a lot about the Mormon religion. So that
- 10:15Speaker 4: was another wrench that kind of threw me off a
- 10:17Speaker 4: little bit. And you know, if I was told that
- 10:20Speaker 4: from day one or night one, I would know everything.
- 10:23Speaker 4: I was told that, you know, right before hometown. So
- 10:26Speaker 4: and I had already been a deep so it wasn't
- 10:29Speaker 4: for me to be like, oh, well this person, you know,
- 10:32Speaker 4: they told me this, and now no, I still want
- 10:34Speaker 4: my feelings. I still went head on and ultimately I
- 10:36Speaker 4: just decided what was the most was the best decision
- 10:39Speaker 4: for me, and that's all I can do.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So would you say, I mean, I think you said
- 10:43Speaker 3: it on a show previously that Letia telling you about
- 10:47Speaker 3: her Mormon religion play a factor in your decision.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Would you say that's true?
- 10:53Speaker 5: Yeah, it was true.
- 10:54Speaker 2: It definitely.
- 10:54Speaker 4: It definitely caused me hesitancy when you're when you're getting
- 10:57Speaker 4: engaged and you want to get to know a person,
- 10:59Speaker 4: that is something that really could you know, is that
- 11:01Speaker 4: is that a lifestyle that I want to you know,
- 11:04Speaker 4: raise my kids?
- 11:04Speaker 5: There's that a lifestyle that I want to you know,
- 11:07Speaker 5: be involved in.
- 11:08Speaker 4: And it did play a factor, but it wasn't my
- 11:11Speaker 4: ultimate ultimate deciding factor because when she told me that,
- 11:14Speaker 4: I still I already had feelings and I still wanted
- 11:16Speaker 4: to make things work. Ultimately, I decided a couple other
- 11:22Speaker 4: factors that happened later on the show that and as
- 11:25Speaker 4: my relationship with Juliana progressed, I decided that was, you know,
- 11:29Speaker 4: my person now. Like I said, I was already in
- 11:32Speaker 4: pretty deep at that moment, So it wasn't a situation
- 11:34Speaker 4: where I knew who my final pick was going into.
- 11:38Speaker 4: You know, I was still very much conflicted. So I
- 11:41Speaker 4: guess that made me seem on shore. But it's like
- 11:44Speaker 4: not every day that you get to date twenty six
- 11:46Speaker 4: people and you have to get engaged in and in
- 11:49Speaker 4: the shorter season that I had, so it was just a.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Little a little you know, it's just a little difficult,
- 11:53Speaker 5: that's all.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It's very difficult.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I would say, uh, and I think you're You're fair
- 11:59Speaker 3: to say that, Yes, dating in this environment and trying
- 12:02Speaker 3: to figure out how to do it well is not
- 12:05Speaker 3: only untraditional, it's uncommon and there's not a lot of
- 12:10Speaker 3: people that can relate to it. You know, going into this,
- 12:14Speaker 3: there's a ton of rumors kind of coming out of
- 12:19Speaker 3: your season about how you ended up making that final decision.
- 12:23Speaker 3: One of them that got a lot of headaway was
- 12:26Speaker 3: a coin flip. It came from an internal source on
- 12:30Speaker 3: the show that said you made a coin flip to
- 12:32Speaker 3: make your final decision, but we didn't see the coin flip.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Did the coin flip actually exist?
- 12:37Speaker 5: I've never heard a coin flip, you know, there was.
- 12:40Speaker 4: No I wasn't going to decide on who I was
- 12:43Speaker 4: going to engage based on a coin flip.
- 12:44Speaker 5: I sat down, took my time, and I made ultimate decision.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Actually, the deciding factor that helped me was if you guys, see,
- 12:53Speaker 4: my dad came back and we had to talk prior
- 12:55Speaker 4: to him leap prior to him leaving Dominican Public. So
- 12:59Speaker 4: that was one of the deciding factors that ultimately I
- 13:01Speaker 4: went based off of what I told him, what he
- 13:04Speaker 4: told me, and then obviously I struggled at the end,
- 13:06Speaker 4: but ultimately that was my my my push over the edge.
- 13:09Speaker 4: What I remember what he told me?
- 13:21Speaker 3: Did you feel well prepared to be the Bachelor? You know,
- 13:25Speaker 3: obviously this is a small group of people. It's a
- 13:28Speaker 3: fraternity of a few that have been through it before
- 13:32Speaker 3: going into the season. Did you did you know what
- 13:35Speaker 3: to expect? Did you do your due diligence to make
- 13:39Speaker 3: sure that you're ready for the roller coaster ride that
- 13:43Speaker 3: is this show?
- 13:45Speaker 5: No, I didn't do any to do.
- 13:46Speaker 4: I'm a person that's very prepared in my work and
- 13:50Speaker 4: things that I do. But when it comes to reality TV,
- 13:53Speaker 4: I didn't know there was really any preparation. I just
- 13:56Speaker 4: went in and I was like, I gonna be myself.
- 13:58Speaker 4: I'm going to give him my all and approach approach
- 14:02Speaker 4: the situation. I though, I approach life and that's what
- 14:05Speaker 4: I did. And reality TV is a it's a little
- 14:08Speaker 4: bit weird, you know, because everybody has their opinions, just
- 14:11Speaker 4: like in life. And I did the best that I
- 14:14Speaker 4: could and that's just that's what it was. But to
- 14:17Speaker 4: say prepared, I didn't know there was any way that
- 14:18Speaker 4: you could prepare to be a Bachelor. I did study.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I watched Joey's season, but you know, me and Joey
- 14:24Speaker 4: are two different people, so that's like he was the
- 14:26Speaker 4: season before mine.
- 14:27Speaker 5: So no, I didn't. I just went in there and
- 14:30Speaker 5: I was gonna be myself.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's you know, there's this world in which it
- 14:35Speaker 3: happens more and more where people kind of call each other.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I remember back in my time it was Sean Loh
- 14:40Speaker 3: and Chris Souls and Mesnik Jason Mesnick. I called and
- 14:44Speaker 3: I was just like, Hey, you guys are now out
- 14:46Speaker 3: of this deal. You've been through this thing. What can
- 14:50Speaker 3: I expect out of this? Like what are some of
- 14:53Speaker 3: the things that maybe I wouldn't foresee coming that I
- 14:55Speaker 3: can expect? And that helped me a lot because it
- 14:58Speaker 3: helps you know that other other people have been there,
- 15:01Speaker 3: and they gave me a lot of insight into this
- 15:03Speaker 3: roller coaster ride. But you know, I think I got
- 15:06Speaker 3: lucky because they also brought those guys on the show
- 15:08Speaker 3: when I was there, and so they were able to,
- 15:10Speaker 3: you know, pour into me a little bit. Letia obviously
- 15:14Speaker 3: was a huge conversation piece when it comes to this season.
- 15:18Speaker 3: She really kind of came off of this show as
- 15:21Speaker 3: one of those. I think the word people are using
- 15:23Speaker 3: kind of og kind of contestants where people she'll be memorable,
- 15:28Speaker 3: she'll do great things with it. But she wasn't your
- 15:31Speaker 3: final choice. Juliana was. You know, when it comes to
- 15:35Speaker 3: Juliana relationship, it was exciting I think for the audience
- 15:40Speaker 3: to see the two of you together. I remember there
- 15:42Speaker 3: being a lot of support for the two of you together,
- 15:44Speaker 3: but it did end quickly. Who ended the relationship so
- 15:48Speaker 3: we had you know.
- 15:49Speaker 5: There was a lot of things that were going on.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I think Juliana is somebody who was really rooted in
- 15:55Speaker 4: her family and like I was willing to move to Boston.
- 15:58Speaker 4: You know, we didn't spend a lot of quality to
- 15:59Speaker 4: it was just it was a situation where I think,
- 16:03Speaker 4: coming off the show, a lot of the outside noise
- 16:06Speaker 4: that happened, all the all the criticism we were getting,
- 16:10Speaker 4: all the feedback we were getting left and right, I
- 16:14Speaker 4: think it kind of bled into our relationship and we
- 16:17Speaker 4: you know, when things happened like that, we didn't really
- 16:20Speaker 4: rely on each other as much to get through it.
- 16:22Speaker 5: You know, she she had her family, I had.
- 16:24Speaker 4: You know, I was kind of relying on it, you know,
- 16:26Speaker 4: to myself and I think that that that bled into
- 16:30Speaker 4: our relationship. I don't think it was a lack of
- 16:32Speaker 4: anybody being ready. I think Julian's very ready for a relationship.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I think everybody that entered that show went in there
- 16:37Speaker 4: with the right intentions. Now there's so many outside factors
- 16:40Speaker 4: and we just we just couldn't we couldn't get through it.
- 16:43Speaker 4: I remember on our trip before a rub but we
- 16:45Speaker 4: talked and we sat down, were like, listen, like, things
- 16:49Speaker 4: are not working.
- 16:50Speaker 5: They're not working.
- 16:50Speaker 4: I was at her, I was at her apartment, and
- 16:52Speaker 4: we just sat down and they just we could tell
- 16:53Speaker 4: we weren't on the same page.
- 16:55Speaker 5: But we went to Aruba and her obviously.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Her family came with her, and I was hoping that
- 16:59Speaker 4: we would get a little more alone time, but we
- 17:01Speaker 4: weren't able to. And even there, I was like, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 4: I'm willing to try to make things work. But I
- 17:06Speaker 4: praised her because you know, her intuition. She saw that
- 17:11Speaker 4: things weren't going the way she wanted and she wanted
- 17:13Speaker 4: to she wanted to move forward. So ultimately we decided,
- 17:15Speaker 4: but it was her final decision because I was still
- 17:18Speaker 4: willing to try.
- 17:19Speaker 5: To make things work.
- 17:20Speaker 2: You know, if it comes up like that.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I think that one of the moments that fans and
- 17:25Speaker 3: I'm sure you've heard it and felt it, you went
- 17:28Speaker 3: kind of your response was you came on Instagram and
- 17:31Speaker 3: you said you were not heartbroken by this breakup? Is
- 17:36Speaker 3: the is the exact quote I have here. I think
- 17:40Speaker 3: it came off a little cold to the audience, especially
- 17:43Speaker 3: as I said this, the post storytelling is not something
- 17:46Speaker 3: that we get from the show, and so the only
- 17:48Speaker 3: thing we know about your relationship is you're together and
- 17:50Speaker 3: then you break up and you're not heartbroken.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Do you can you elaborate on that statement a little bit?
- 17:55Speaker 3: It did come off cold or that something happened more
- 17:59Speaker 3: than just two of you disagreeing to not you know,
- 18:02Speaker 3: or agreeing to not make things work.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Yeah. I think that's kind of.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Like the defense mechanism that I have sometimes, you know,
- 18:08Speaker 4: the way that I grew up and you know kind
- 18:11Speaker 4: of where I'm from. I don't think a lot of
- 18:13Speaker 4: people can relate to that and bachlorination audience where it's
- 18:16Speaker 4: like if something that's something that hurts you, you kind
- 18:21Speaker 4: of just shrug it off and you move forward. And
- 18:24Speaker 4: that's something that I kind of do, which I'm working
- 18:26Speaker 4: on that to express how I feel in the moment,
- 18:29Speaker 4: and like when it comes to things that hurt me,
- 18:32Speaker 4: when it comes to things that make me feel good
- 18:36Speaker 4: or happiness or love, I expressed that I wear my
- 18:38Speaker 4: heart on my sleep, but when it comes to things
- 18:41Speaker 4: that cause me pain or hurt, I kind of shrug
- 18:44Speaker 4: it off and act like it doesn't bother me as
- 18:45Speaker 4: much as it does.
- 18:47Speaker 5: So that's the And then when.
- 18:47Speaker 4: You're the lead, it's like everything you're said, obviously people
- 18:50Speaker 4: took that the wrong way, but it really wasn't. Obviously
- 18:52Speaker 4: I was hurt, you know, I was engaged. We had
- 18:54Speaker 4: broken up. I was trying to make it work and
- 18:57Speaker 4: it's a very public breakup. So me saying that it
- 18:59Speaker 4: doesn't bother me obviously probably wasn't the right move.
- 19:02Speaker 5: But it's something I'm working on.
- 19:03Speaker 4: But yeah, this is like a defense mechanism for me,
- 19:06Speaker 4: kind of just saying, ah, like I'm not heart broken.
- 19:08Speaker 5: It isn't it, But really you're hurt, you know what
- 19:10Speaker 5: I'm saying. That's just that's what it was for me.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Well, the cool part about this world is you sometimes
- 19:16Speaker 3: do get do overs because news cycles move quickly, and
- 19:21Speaker 3: then you get to come back on shows like this
- 19:23Speaker 3: that have you know, a large portion of the fan
- 19:27Speaker 3: base that listens. If you were to have a do
- 19:30Speaker 3: over and jump on social media again right after the breakup,
- 19:35Speaker 3: what would you have said.
- 19:37Speaker 5: I don't know if I would have said anything.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I don't know if every I think regardless people, the
- 19:43Speaker 4: one thing this experience has taught me is, you know,
- 19:48Speaker 4: you can't go wrong with being yourself because people are
- 19:50Speaker 4: going to love you or hate you based off of
- 19:54Speaker 4: biases they have against you. So with me, I don't think.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Maybe I wouldn't have, you know, crashed out. I was
- 20:00Speaker 4: going through a lot, you know, a very public breakup
- 20:03Speaker 4: and I kind of spiral a little bit. Plus I
- 20:05Speaker 4: was getting so much BackFlash on my season, kind of
- 20:08Speaker 4: a lot of hate and just for me being myself,
- 20:10Speaker 4: and I was like okay, And even on the season,
- 20:12Speaker 4: I think I wasn't I could have been even more.
- 20:16Speaker 4: I went in there very reserved, and I think that
- 20:17Speaker 4: came across on screen because I'm gonna be real, like.
- 20:23Speaker 5: I'm a kid, like I'm a grown man.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Obviously, I live I lived in you know NOWRK New Jersey,
- 20:27Speaker 4: which is one of the worst neighborhoods in New Jersey.
- 20:30Speaker 4: My father was you know, my father was addicted to drugs.
- 20:34Speaker 4: And I feel like I went in there very reserved
- 20:36Speaker 4: because I was afraid that people would judge me, and
- 20:40Speaker 4: I went in there just very reserved, and I think
- 20:41Speaker 4: that came across on camera instead of me just letting
- 20:43Speaker 4: loose and be myself. But at the same time, when
- 20:46Speaker 4: you're a lead of color, you can't I know, it's
- 20:49Speaker 4: not really talked about as much, but you could be yourself,
- 20:51Speaker 4: but you're gonna get backlash either way. So I guess
- 20:55Speaker 4: what I'm trying to say without making too much sense,
- 20:57Speaker 4: is like I could have been more myself, but I'm
- 21:00Speaker 4: happy that I was a gentleman during the show, regardless
- 21:03Speaker 4: of what people said. I tried to handle situations like
- 21:07Speaker 4: a gentleman and I did. I did the best. I
- 21:09Speaker 4: did the best that I could, so I don't have
- 21:10Speaker 4: any regrets. But looking back at the show, maybe I
- 21:13Speaker 4: wouldn't have crashed out so hard pull show.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think that's one thing we just didn't
- 21:18Speaker 3: see you crashing out. I don't know, if you know,
- 21:22Speaker 3: I don't know how you can't really uh share sometimes,
- 21:26Speaker 3: you know, if you're crashing out. You don't want to
- 21:27Speaker 3: share that stuff. It's personal and it's kind of how
- 21:30Speaker 3: you need to, you know, navigate it. But I do
- 21:32Speaker 3: think because of your lack of vulnerability in that moment
- 21:37Speaker 3: and kind of saying things like I'm not heartbroken, people
- 21:39Speaker 3: are thought, oh, he's he's doing okay, and it's just cold,
- 21:44Speaker 3: instead of showing you know what you're really feeling, who
- 21:47Speaker 3: you truly are. And as you said, you got backlash
- 21:50Speaker 3: from this, and I think every league gets backlash. It's
- 21:55Speaker 3: nobody's immune to it. Nobody has been immune to it.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Some get more than others and some get it. You know,
- 21:59Speaker 3: sometimes a backlash is more loud than others. How did
- 22:03Speaker 3: you process through the criticisms and the backlash? And I
- 22:08Speaker 3: remember you commented and it's kind of even hard to
- 22:11Speaker 3: bring up because I know this does feel like a
- 22:14Speaker 3: loud criticism, but you commented on it where people were
- 22:18Speaker 3: blaming you for the ending of the show. And we
- 22:22Speaker 3: don't know if the show is going to come back
- 22:23Speaker 3: or not. We don't know if the show will have
- 22:26Speaker 3: another Bachelor season. I expect it too, But those are
- 22:29Speaker 3: big things placed on your shoulders in that moment.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Those are heavy words. So how did you deal with it?
- 22:36Speaker 2: How are you dealing with it?
- 22:38Speaker 4: Listen, I've been through a lot worse things in my life. Honestly,
- 22:43Speaker 4: if you want me to be real, and this is
- 22:44Speaker 4: what I told myself, like I'm going.
- 22:46Speaker 3: To I want you to be real because that's the
- 22:48Speaker 3: only way things come across good.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Like, I don't, I really don't really don't give what
- 22:53Speaker 4: people say about me at this point in my life.
- 22:55Speaker 4: I know that's very, very shrewd. But you know, if
- 22:57Speaker 4: people want to blame me for the ending of the
- 22:59Speaker 4: show where they say this.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Is I know myself.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I know the way I was raised, I know what
- 23:03Speaker 4: I've been through, and I know my morals and value.
- 23:05Speaker 5: So people don't understand that, or they don't understand.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Me, or they you know, however things went down, it's
- 23:13Speaker 4: just like yo, okay, like I'm glad to take your opinion,
- 23:16Speaker 4: and you know what I'm saying.
- 23:17Speaker 5: I'm going to move forward my life.
- 23:18Speaker 4: You move forward your life, So I'm not gonna I'm
- 23:21Speaker 4: not going to try to, you know, appease people or
- 23:23Speaker 4: make them see my my viewpoint and excuse me. I
- 23:26Speaker 4: just I really don't. I don't care. I'm not gonna.
- 23:28Speaker 4: I'm not gonna let my mind be consumed by that.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Just move forward and move on.
- 23:33Speaker 3: You know, how has your relationship with social media been
- 23:38Speaker 3: transformed then as of recently? I mean, we've we've seen
- 23:41Speaker 3: you talk about your faith openly, We've taught you see
- 23:46Speaker 3: we've seen you recently talk about your pursuit of celibacy.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Right those are I mean, I I just got back
- 23:55Speaker 3: midnight last night from a pastor's conference and a and
- 24:00Speaker 3: a gathering. The guy that runs it would be mad
- 24:02Speaker 3: if I called it a conference. It's a gathering. As
- 24:05Speaker 3: somebody of faith myself it is. It was more of
- 24:11Speaker 3: a It was a rock to fall back on, a
- 24:13Speaker 3: solid foundation for me through the process of all the
- 24:17Speaker 3: trysts and turns. People are gonna throw roses at your feet.
- 24:21Speaker 3: People are gonna throw stones at your feet, Grant, you
- 24:23Speaker 3: got to pick me either up. And so this process
- 24:27Speaker 3: afterwards of fame and social media is a wild ride.
- 24:32Speaker 3: And so I would love to get a perspective on
- 24:34Speaker 3: how you are handling it and why you are saying
- 24:37Speaker 3: the things you're saying publicly talking about your faith is awesome.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Claiming celibacy now for however long that's a big comment
- 24:48Speaker 3: that could definitely come back to bite you at some
- 24:50Speaker 3: point if that, you know, changes, Yeah, And.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Honestly, man, like I said, I really don't. I really
- 24:57Speaker 5: don't like if if people listen, I'm going to live
- 25:02Speaker 5: my life. And the reason why I stated that is
- 25:04Speaker 5: because I was Celement before the show, which you know,
- 25:08Speaker 5: by choice, by choice, you.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Know, I had been in a seven year relationship and
- 25:12Speaker 4: that ended, and I was very hurt, and I decided
- 25:14Speaker 4: I wasn't going to you know, because when you get
- 25:18Speaker 4: physically involved with somebody, it speeds up to things and
- 25:20Speaker 4: you could and you know what I'm saying, you could
- 25:22Speaker 4: definitely make some wrong move. So I just decided that
- 25:26Speaker 4: until I am a celibate, was abstinent. Until I know
- 25:31Speaker 4: somebody's my person, or I am in a very committed
- 25:38Speaker 4: relationship that's headed towards marriage, I'm not going to be
- 25:40Speaker 4: out there looking for a relationship that way, you know.
- 25:43Speaker 5: So that's something I still stand by.
- 25:47Speaker 4: And you know, the way that I've the way that
- 25:49Speaker 4: I've came across on social media or however, you know,
- 25:53Speaker 4: I wasn't on social media practice and I'm I'm getting
- 25:56Speaker 4: in new lanes where I could truly be myself and
- 25:58Speaker 4: be authentic, And you know, I I think that's the
- 26:00Speaker 4: beauty of going on a bachelor even though you know
- 26:04Speaker 4: my relationship and work, I've met so many great people.
- 26:07Speaker 4: It's helped me go into a new avenue in my
- 26:10Speaker 4: life and I'm grateful for that.
- 26:11Speaker 5: And if I could use kind of my.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Whatever gifts I have to spread a certain message or
- 26:18Speaker 4: be myself and be a positive impact, that's kind of
- 26:20Speaker 4: like what I what I want to do.
- 26:32Speaker 3: You brought up a point here I'm curious about if
- 26:36Speaker 3: you and I were sitting down at dinner and we
- 26:39Speaker 3: didn't have a couple hundred people a thousand people listening,
- 26:43Speaker 3: I'd ask you the same question. You know, I think
- 26:47Speaker 3: for me, one of the things I'm trying to figure out,
- 26:49Speaker 3: because you know, I want to usually connect with the
- 26:52Speaker 3: bachelors of the past. It's a wild ride, it's hard,
- 26:55Speaker 3: it's confusing. I think for me, one of the things
- 26:58Speaker 3: that you that makes you unique compared to other bachelors
- 27:02Speaker 3: is you promoted yourself, marketed yourself, branded yourself as this
- 27:07Speaker 3: very successful day trader. And I've worked in finance for
- 27:11Speaker 3: five years of my life. I was like, I've never
- 27:13Speaker 3: known anybody that day trades for a career. I know
- 27:17Speaker 3: people to manage wealth. I don't know anybody that day
- 27:18Speaker 3: trades for a career that's the hobby. But you did
- 27:23Speaker 3: do this, and it seemed, you know, you had the
- 27:25Speaker 3: videos in the cars and the big houses, and you know,
- 27:28Speaker 3: it was really kind of part of your brand. I think,
- 27:31Speaker 3: if you knew it or not, that you were a
- 27:32Speaker 3: successful day trader, right and now that is such a
- 27:37Speaker 3: small piece of what we're seeing from you. And so,
- 27:40Speaker 3: you know, you just said you're opening up new lanes
- 27:42Speaker 3: and everything. But I was like, man, this guy loves
- 27:44Speaker 3: loves finance, he loves investing, he loves the research. He
- 27:47Speaker 3: you know, you started a school for a period of
- 27:50Speaker 3: time to teach people how to do that, and that's
- 27:52Speaker 3: no longer there. So it feels like I'm having a
- 27:54Speaker 3: hard time tracking who you are and actually what you
- 27:58Speaker 3: are doing, like enjoy doing because you just said you're
- 28:01Speaker 3: opening up new lanes. But I was like, what about
- 28:02Speaker 3: the lanes that existed before?
- 28:04Speaker 4: No, so the school is definitely still there, just we
- 28:07Speaker 4: when you're trading in the markets and you're managing equity
- 28:12Speaker 4: to have you know, fifteen thirty people thirty fifty people
- 28:15Speaker 4: kind of watching you. It was cool, but then they
- 28:17Speaker 4: kind of it got to a point wheople were a
- 28:19Speaker 4: little bit reliant on me for.
- 28:24Speaker 5: You know, signals or their or their financial situation. And
- 28:26Speaker 5: that's something that I can't I can't condone.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Just to clarify there, you can't legally give investment advice,
- 28:34Speaker 3: is what you're saying.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I can't leave.
- 28:35Speaker 4: So that's why when I trade in front of people,
- 28:37Speaker 4: I will pay per trade, but people on their own
- 28:41Speaker 4: merit will either go into their accounts or do this
- 28:43Speaker 4: or do that. And for me, when people are calling
- 28:46Speaker 4: my phone like oh, like oh, we want to see
- 28:48Speaker 4: people don't. A lot of people that join those groups
- 28:50Speaker 4: they don't know the work that it takes to be able.
- 28:53Speaker 4: And I've been traded this my six year trading and
- 28:56Speaker 4: my first three four years you know, I was just
- 29:00Speaker 4: ten years losing. So and when people go into these groups,
- 29:04Speaker 4: they expect instant results when that's not you know, I'm
- 29:08Speaker 4: an educator.
- 29:08Speaker 5: I will give you, I will give you the I'll
- 29:13Speaker 5: give you the rod, but you have to fish for yourself,
- 29:15Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So I still teach. I
- 29:17Speaker 5: do it on an individual basis now and that's but
- 29:19Speaker 5: that's my life.
- 29:20Speaker 4: That's what I've been doing for the last six years,
- 29:22Speaker 4: is what I put continuous hours of work into. But
- 29:25Speaker 4: also there's also other things I like do. I like music,
- 29:28Speaker 4: I like to create. I'm a creative and I think
- 29:31Speaker 4: that big part of what I really what I really
- 29:35Speaker 4: did not like about what really turned me off to
- 29:40Speaker 4: some of the things in Bachelor Nation was there's this
- 29:42Speaker 4: connotation that you have to just be in love. You
- 29:48Speaker 4: can't do this, you can't do that, and if you
- 29:50Speaker 4: do anything else, you're doing it for the wrong reason.
- 29:52Speaker 5: And for me, I've always went against the green.
- 29:55Speaker 4: I don't really care what people think about me because
- 29:57Speaker 4: I know myself and I know the type of.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Person I am.
- 30:01Speaker 4: So when I go in there and I put out
- 30:04Speaker 4: a song or I put on this or that, regardless
- 30:06Speaker 4: of whatever it's like, if you don't, I'm not going
- 30:08Speaker 4: to pander just how somebody wants me to act. You
- 30:11Speaker 4: know what I'm saying, just because I'm I guessaid, I'm
- 30:13Speaker 4: a day trader. Like I've always went against the green,
- 30:15Speaker 4: so you know what I'm saying. In the corporate in
- 30:17Speaker 4: the corporate world, you kind of have to be that way,
- 30:19Speaker 4: but I've never been corporate, so I think that was
- 30:22Speaker 4: another reason why people don't really understand me. And it's
- 30:25Speaker 4: okay being misunderstood sometimes because I know I know myself,
- 30:29Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, I mean I do know what you're saying,
- 30:32Speaker 3: because I think I've been in that world. But I
- 30:34Speaker 3: think the narrative was this was your job, you loved it.
- 30:38Speaker 3: You know, you're driving the fancy cars, you got the
- 30:40Speaker 3: big house, you're crushing it some you know. I think
- 30:44Speaker 3: the part of the intrigue was you were the bachelor,
- 30:48Speaker 3: some you were going to end up with somebody from
- 30:50Speaker 3: the show, and they were going to enter into this
- 30:51Speaker 3: really like stable I think would be the word. I'd use,
- 30:55Speaker 3: life of financial freedom and comfort and all those things.
- 31:01Speaker 3: And then you know that has been a piece that's
- 31:03Speaker 3: been missing. But I think the part that confused me
- 31:06Speaker 3: was you don't have your series seven, so you cannot
- 31:09Speaker 3: be trading.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Well let me, let's let me just so a series
- 31:12Speaker 4: seven is for financial advice.
- 31:15Speaker 5: I don't give financial advice.
- 31:17Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. You couldn't give that to people,
- 31:19Speaker 2: So yeah, that confusing, No, but that's.
- 31:21Speaker 4: I never In the beginning of my of my course
- 31:24Speaker 4: of my class, I had a disclaimer like, this is
- 31:28Speaker 4: not financial advice. What you do in a situation like
- 31:30Speaker 4: that where you covered legally, is you pay per trade.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Is you trade on a paper account.
- 31:35Speaker 4: You might have your own live funds on the side,
- 31:37Speaker 4: but you pay trade on paper account and you teach
- 31:40Speaker 4: while people are also following what you're doing. So there's
- 31:44Speaker 4: no Series seven needed for that because you're covered by
- 31:47Speaker 4: You're covered by your paper trading. Now, if I were
- 31:50Speaker 4: to be trading actual live funds or giving stock advice,
- 31:53Speaker 4: like I remember, I was on Good Morning in America
- 31:55Speaker 4: and I gave a stop clearpoint neuro which was trading
- 31:58Speaker 4: at like thirteen dollars is now it's almost like sixty
- 32:01Speaker 4: dollars now. But I had to take it back because
- 32:04Speaker 4: I'm not I don't have my Series seven, so you
- 32:06Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. That's when I just was like, oh, well,
- 32:08Speaker 4: just invest in SMP, you know what I'm saying, because
- 32:10Speaker 4: that's pretty pretty nuanced advice. It's pretty it's something that
- 32:14Speaker 4: everybody does. So with that, yeah, with in terms of
- 32:17Speaker 4: the day training thing and in terms of how they
- 32:19Speaker 4: portrayed me, on the show. I never want I never
- 32:22Speaker 4: want marketed to myself like that, you know what I'm saying.
- 32:24Speaker 4: I just that was how they chose to market me.
- 32:26Speaker 4: I didn't tell them to do that, obviously. You know,
- 32:29Speaker 4: I love what I love what I do for work,
- 32:30Speaker 4: and you know I'm always willing to grow and learn
- 32:34Speaker 4: and experiences. So yeah, with the whole, with the whole,
- 32:38Speaker 4: in terms of how they marketed me, are with with
- 32:40Speaker 4: my series seven, I just I choose not not to
- 32:43Speaker 4: get that because I don't.
- 32:45Speaker 5: That's not my job to give people advice in what stocks.
- 32:50Speaker 5: My job is to get on.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Here every day show people how to maneuver through the
- 32:53Speaker 4: market and and how to be steady in that in
- 32:56Speaker 4: that space, and that's what that's what I still do.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I'm not my claim was not that
- 33:02Speaker 3: you necessary. I mean, I think there was moments like
- 33:04Speaker 3: on social media that maybe pointed to that, but I
- 33:07Speaker 3: think the show really kind of marketed that, and I
- 33:09Speaker 3: think it is why the aftermath of the show has
- 33:13Speaker 3: been confusing, because it feels like that huge storyline, uh
- 33:17Speaker 3: that hasn't disappeared. I know it's still a thing that
- 33:20Speaker 3: you do, but it's not a piece of what we're
- 33:22Speaker 3: seeing from you anymore, Uh is the you know, is
- 33:26Speaker 3: the finance guy.
- 33:28Speaker 5: I don't really want that to be like with with
- 33:30Speaker 5: with with data.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Like I just finished up teaching before a class before
- 33:34Speaker 4: this podcast. I had a class, and what I do
- 33:36Speaker 4: I like to do, and I don't want that to be.
- 33:38Speaker 5: My my persona like that.
- 33:41Speaker 4: I never, I never, you know, it's something that I
- 33:43Speaker 4: love doing, but I would I used my day trading
- 33:48Speaker 4: and the promise that I would drawer in the market
- 33:51Speaker 4: to fuel other projects, to fuel other things that I
- 33:54Speaker 4: like to do. You know, day trading is just a
- 33:55Speaker 4: means two for me to be supportive financially, and you know,
- 34:01Speaker 4: it gives me the time and freedom to do things
- 34:03Speaker 4: that I like, whether that's making music or doing a
- 34:06Speaker 4: play or doing some things like that.
- 34:09Speaker 5: So yeah, I don't want to really be known as
- 34:11Speaker 5: a finance bro.
- 34:12Speaker 4: I think that's like, you know, I do do that,
- 34:14Speaker 4: but there's so many other aspects to me that you
- 34:17Speaker 4: know obviously on the show, you know, they show we
- 34:20Speaker 4: did a concert with Mario and certain things like that,
- 34:22Speaker 4: and I'm playing the piano, so there were other sides
- 34:24Speaker 4: of me just wasn't traditional. So I guess it wasn't
- 34:27Speaker 4: as well received as like finance or something like day Trading.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I can see that path, so let's
- 34:33Speaker 3: get into that stuff then. I mean, obviously we knew
- 34:36Speaker 3: you from day Trading, as we said, from being the Bachelor,
- 34:38Speaker 3: but you are excited about other things happening in your life.
- 34:42Speaker 3: We start out this whole show talking about the reality games.
- 34:45Speaker 3: You also are in the process. I think via your
- 34:48Speaker 3: social media you've kind of started to be You're inspired
- 34:54Speaker 3: by Hitch and you're trying to start this like dating
- 34:58Speaker 3: show called Spin the Block. Right, you also are enjoying music.
- 35:02Speaker 3: I think during your season I see here in my
- 35:05Speaker 3: notes you came out with a couple songs. So what
- 35:09Speaker 3: I mean if day Trading is, if we're making sense
- 35:12Speaker 3: of all this, day Trading is your stable day to day,
- 35:15Speaker 3: what opportunities do you want to pursue next? Like with
- 35:19Speaker 3: the dreams that you had as a kid, grant with
- 35:21Speaker 3: the opportunities that you've now been given.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Where do you want to see all this go?
- 35:25Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 35:25Speaker 4: I think for me, I'm just in a position or
- 35:27Speaker 4: a point where I want to be a positive, positive influence, right,
- 35:32Speaker 4: And obviously things that not work out that way on
- 35:35Speaker 4: The Bachelor. And but like I said, I have a
- 35:37Speaker 4: very specific skill set which allows me to.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Allocate funds a certain projects.
- 35:43Speaker 4: So the next thing that I'm willing to do is
- 35:46Speaker 4: that I want to do, is I have the We
- 35:47Speaker 4: have the reality Games coming up, which is going to
- 35:50Speaker 4: be some of some pretty big influences. There is going
- 35:53Speaker 4: to be a really good, so really good opportunity, opportunity
- 35:55Speaker 4: for exposure. And you know, I'm working on my pilot
- 35:58Speaker 4: episode to pitch to a couple all companies on this
- 36:01Speaker 4: idea of spin the Block.
- 36:02Speaker 5: And it's not me giving dating advice like people jump
- 36:05Speaker 5: to conclusions.
- 36:06Speaker 4: It's just me teaching men how to how to court
- 36:11Speaker 4: a woman or how to talk to a woman. But
- 36:13Speaker 4: do it intentionally, right, because a lot of men struggle
- 36:16Speaker 4: in the area. And you know, I was the Bachelor
- 36:18Speaker 4: for a reason, so I think that that's a good way.
- 36:20Speaker 4: It's not me giving relationship advice because clearly I'm not
- 36:23Speaker 4: in a relationship. It is me taking a man who's
- 36:26Speaker 4: considered average and leveling out, teaching him how to dress,
- 36:29Speaker 4: how to talk, how to have that swag, and to
- 36:31Speaker 4: get the woman that he wants, and then what he
- 36:32Speaker 4: does from there.
- 36:34Speaker 5: That's that's that's up to him.
- 36:36Speaker 2: So it is very hitch like.
- 36:37Speaker 5: It's very hitch like. It's very hitchlike.
- 36:39Speaker 4: And I'm utilizing you know, the Reality Games exposure and
- 36:42Speaker 4: some of the connections I have through that with some
- 36:44Speaker 4: pretty big agencies to try to to really get this
- 36:46Speaker 4: thing off the ground, and my plan is for it
- 36:48Speaker 4: to be out in the new year.
- 36:49Speaker 3: The Reality Games is a huge then if I'm understanding
- 36:53Speaker 3: this correctly, it's a huge moment for you. You're really you're
- 36:58Speaker 3: really like sold out on her the hope of the
- 37:00Speaker 3: success of this thing, of the people that you're going
- 37:03Speaker 3: to meet through it. So if you were here today saying, hey,
- 37:06Speaker 3: and if I ask you the question what's the most
- 37:08Speaker 3: important project in your life right now?
- 37:11Speaker 2: Reality games?
- 37:12Speaker 5: Things like that.
- 37:13Speaker 4: The reality So the Reality Games isn't like like if
- 37:16Speaker 4: it does well or now, I'm still going to progress forward.
- 37:18Speaker 4: But the obviously like that I said, the most important thing.
- 37:21Speaker 4: My number one thing that I do behind the scenes
- 37:23Speaker 4: is trading. Like if you look here, I was actually
- 37:25Speaker 4: I'm like, while we're doing is I still I'm looking
- 37:27Speaker 4: at the market as well, or like that's that's number one.
- 37:30Speaker 4: That is like my life's work. But I don't want
- 37:35Speaker 4: to be known as just the finance guy. I think
- 37:39Speaker 4: my creative side. I like being a creative So yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 4: I think that this hitch project or Spend the Block
- 37:45Speaker 4: is a way for me. It's probably my most important
- 37:48Speaker 4: project because it's a way for people to see me outside.
- 37:51Speaker 4: If anybody even pays attention, hopefully I get a new
- 37:54Speaker 4: audience base. But it's a way for people to see
- 37:57Speaker 4: me outside of the Bachelor. When you're the Bachelor, they
- 38:00Speaker 4: definitely you know, they dress you up, they planning to
- 38:04Speaker 4: help you plan your dates, and you know some of
- 38:06Speaker 4: the things like I didn't resonate.
- 38:08Speaker 5: With that as well as I as I should have.
- 38:10Speaker 4: So spin a Block is a way for people to
- 38:12Speaker 4: see me and my view of dating and how I
- 38:14Speaker 4: would approach it if it was like.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Me, you know what I'm saying, Well, it's it leads
- 38:20Speaker 3: me right into like one of my final questions for
- 38:23Speaker 3: you here, if you're going to be assisting others in
- 38:28Speaker 3: leveling up in the dating world, are you currently dating,
- 38:33Speaker 3: have you dated since Juliana?
- 38:36Speaker 2: Are you on the market?
- 38:37Speaker 4: Listen with me, and I'm going to be very transparent here,
- 38:41Speaker 4: Like I am very cautious with what I do in
- 38:45Speaker 4: the dating space. I've never had an issue with with
- 38:48Speaker 4: with that department. You know, it's very easy in the
- 38:51Speaker 4: world to get women or but that's not what I'm
- 38:54Speaker 4: looking for. I want something very stable. I want something
- 38:57Speaker 4: very I want something that I'm committed. I don't much
- 39:00Speaker 4: is anybody, So for me, I take my time. That's
- 39:03Speaker 4: why I'm absent right now. I know the importance of
- 39:06Speaker 4: that and taking your time. But like I said, there's
- 39:09Speaker 4: other younger men out there that may not be able
- 39:12Speaker 4: to even get a date or really don't you know,
- 39:15Speaker 4: they maybe they don't have the means or the finances
- 39:17Speaker 4: to be able to date, or they don't have the
- 39:19Speaker 4: right clothes, or they don't how to talk, or they
- 39:21Speaker 4: don't or they lack of confidence. And regardless of what
- 39:25Speaker 4: anybody thinks, you know, I think spending the day with
- 39:27Speaker 4: somebody who was who was the previous batcheler and showing
- 39:30Speaker 4: them a lifestyle or showing them kind of how to
- 39:33Speaker 4: course somebody and kind of keep still have that swag
- 39:36Speaker 4: but be traditional. I think that's there's a blend of both.
- 39:39Speaker 4: So yeah, that's kind of like in a nutshell, what
- 39:41Speaker 4: I'm working on in my next project, and I plan
- 39:43Speaker 4: on utilizing my trading to fund to fund this project.
- 39:46Speaker 2: But are you dating?
- 39:48Speaker 5: No, I'm pretty much not dating right now. I'm not
- 39:50Speaker 5: seeing anybody right now. I'm hanging out, hanging out. I'm
- 39:55Speaker 5: hanging out. I'm working right now, Grant.
- 39:59Speaker 3: For any out there listening as we kind of close
- 40:02Speaker 3: this up, taking in, you know, trying to go walk
- 40:07Speaker 3: through this show, clearing out some misconceptions, confronting some things
- 40:12Speaker 3: said obviously from Letia and then also others, and working
- 40:18Speaker 3: into where your life sits now. For listeners out there
- 40:22Speaker 3: that are like, hey, I want to kind of get
- 40:25Speaker 3: closure to all of this or to understand where Grant
- 40:28Speaker 3: is going, what would you say to the listeners, to
- 40:33Speaker 3: the fans of the show who have walked through this,
- 40:37Speaker 3: you know, hour long episode with us.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I would just first of all, I would say
- 40:41Speaker 4: thank you guys, I appreciate those the support, and yeah,
- 40:45Speaker 4: I think just finishing it off. You know, I said,
- 40:47Speaker 4: I did my best and my tenure as a bachelor,
- 40:51Speaker 4: try to be a good example, and I think for
- 40:53Speaker 4: those of you that support me, thank you. And for
- 40:55Speaker 4: those of you that don't really like me or misunderstood
- 40:57Speaker 4: I understand, and you know it's it's okay. You're not
- 41:00Speaker 4: going to be received well by everybody, but I appreciate
- 41:03Speaker 4: you for tuning into the journey.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Grant Ellis, thanks for jumping on the Almost Famous podcast again.
- 41:09Speaker 3: The Reality Games is going to happen on Twitch December thirteenth.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Real quick, is this?
- 41:15Speaker 3: Is it a Netflix deal or what is just a No, It's.
- 41:18Speaker 4: It's on Twitch and different streaming platforms, so it's mainly
- 41:21Speaker 4: through Twitch. So there's a company called Meme House which
- 41:24Speaker 4: does really big events out here in LA and they're
- 41:26Speaker 4: they're hosting it. It's at Beamo Stadium on Twitch.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a big deal.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Okay, and then also look for Grant to possibly launch
- 41:36Speaker 3: Spin the Block in the upcoming year.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Grant Ellis, thanks for jumping on.
