- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to on Base.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I'm your host, Mookie Vetts, and today I have a
- 0:03Speaker 2: two time all Star, three time World Series champion, record
- 0:07Speaker 2: holder for most postseason.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Home runs in Dodger history, the.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Longest tenured Dodger in my third baseman, Max Mounsey, How
- 0:17Speaker 2: you doing, bro.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Tired of the man? We're on the last leg of
- 0:22Speaker 3: this long road trip.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Man, I heard somebody in the stands yesterday say the
- 0:29Speaker 2: real Max Mounsey, which made that made me feel a
- 0:32Speaker 2: certain way. I'm not saying there is a real one
- 0:34Speaker 2: and a fake one, but you know, we'll get to that.
- 0:37Speaker 2: And uh but in my book, you're you're You're the
- 0:40Speaker 2: first and the real Max Monsey.
- 0:42Speaker 1: So I just want you to know that.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I'm only like thirteen years older than the other one. So, man,
- 0:45Speaker 3: I don't know which one is the real one if
- 0:47Speaker 3: I'm that much older.
- 0:49Speaker 2: All right, So we have a game called Make the
- 0:51Speaker 2: Call Joe Adell, Ryan O'Hearn. They played. They both got three, right.
- 0:57Speaker 2: So what it is right now is we, uh, first,
- 1:00Speaker 2: before we get into the game, do you like the abs?
- 1:03Speaker 1: I think I do. I haven't.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I haven't really challenged.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I want to challenge four times this year. It's been
- 1:08Speaker 3: the exact same pitch all four times. It's all down
- 1:10Speaker 3: and a way on like a.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Break and ball.
- 1:12Speaker 2: And you what's your percentage? I'm two and two, so
- 1:15Speaker 2: fifty that's like, yeah, that's normal. That's about right. So Joe, Adelle,
- 1:19Speaker 2: Ryan O'Hearn, they both got three of these. Right, You're
- 1:22Speaker 2: going to look at these pitches and guess and if
- 1:27Speaker 2: you get it wrong, I have some questions here that
- 1:31Speaker 2: you got to answer. So your goal is to get
- 1:34Speaker 2: at least four bro, all right, strike strike, all right,
- 1:46Speaker 2: let's see what it is fall all right.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Question one, what was one postseason series you thought you
- 2:04Speaker 3: were going to lose but ended up winning. I mean
- 2:08Speaker 3: probably the probably the Padres in twenty four Okay, yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 3: you know after we went down to one and Freddy's out, Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 3: we're going bullpen game.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I think that's an easy one. And then and.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Then yeah, we figured out a way that was that
- 2:23Speaker 2: was a lot. That was really a lot for the
- 2:24Speaker 2: boys too. That that was a lot for us to
- 2:26Speaker 2: string together. But we did it.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I mean, you show up to the field and then
- 2:31Speaker 3: you find out Freddy's not playing. Yeah, elimination game. We
- 2:34Speaker 3: don't have a starting pitcher.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Really, I mean that in all honesty, that mindset kind
- 2:43Speaker 3: of helped us because we were just like, all right, well,
- 2:48Speaker 3: we had nothing to lose, and it was like, yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 3: I mean, let's just go see what happens, and then
- 2:53Speaker 3: ended up working it did all right. So pitch two,
- 2:58Speaker 3: I'm gonna say strike because you're trying to trick me
- 3:00Speaker 3: with missing the catcher spot here.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Okay, let's see it. You got to get all the
- 3:09Speaker 2: rest of it, right, bro.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Just even tie?
- 3:11Speaker 3: All right, you have a fear of needles? Would you
- 3:17Speaker 3: rather take a needle or get hit by a Jacob
- 3:20Speaker 3: Mizerowski fastball?
- 3:22Speaker 1: Fastball?
- 3:22Speaker 2: Fastball yourself? You're wait, you don't like needles at all?
- 3:28Speaker 3: No, so you know what, I used to not be
- 3:30Speaker 3: bad about it. And then my first spring training with
- 3:35Speaker 3: Oakland on the minor league side, there's like one hundred
- 3:38Speaker 3: and fifty guys, right you're you're all getting blood drawn.
- 3:41Speaker 1: For your physicals.
- 3:43Speaker 3: So they had a bunch of interns in there. The
- 3:46Speaker 3: guy doing my blood draw missed my vein like six times.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I passed out.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Oh you passed out?
- 3:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, woke up on the ground like thirty people
- 3:56Speaker 3: staring over me, players all laughing at me like, oh,
- 3:59Speaker 3: like dang, you passed, you know, and like ever since then,
- 4:02Speaker 3: it's just it's been you know, I've gotten slowly better
- 4:05Speaker 3: about it, but.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm still I'm still taking the fastball.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Did you know you're about to pass out?
- 4:10Speaker 3: No, it's because because I had done blood blood before
- 4:13Speaker 3: and it had never been an issue. Just for whatever,
- 4:17Speaker 3: I think the guy just kept missing me and I
- 4:19Speaker 3: each one kept hurting more and more like he was
- 4:21Speaker 3: getting a little aggressive about it, like he was getting frustrated.
- 4:24Speaker 3: And then it just got to a point where I'd
- 4:27Speaker 3: had enough.
- 4:28Speaker 2: And so see you, I've never passed out, so like
- 4:32Speaker 2: you don't you did. It wasn't like, oh I'm about
- 4:35Speaker 2: to pass out out of there or was it? Like
- 4:37Speaker 2: how was it? It just happened?
- 4:39Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it was just you kind of just feel
- 4:41Speaker 3: like light like dizziness, lightheaded this coming on, and then
- 4:47Speaker 3: like when you pass out, you kind of you feel
- 4:51Speaker 3: like you've been gone for like a year, Like you
- 4:53Speaker 3: kind of wake up and you're like how did I
- 4:55Speaker 3: How did I get here? Like because you end up
- 4:59Speaker 3: having like a dream kind of when you're pasted. I
- 5:02Speaker 3: don't remember what that one was but like you end
- 5:03Speaker 3: up having like this memory or something and then you
- 5:05Speaker 3: wake up and then like it all comes back to
- 5:08Speaker 3: you're like, oh dang, I was getting.
- 5:09Speaker 1: My blood drawn.
- 5:10Speaker 3: It passed out like so it's yeah, not a great experience.
- 5:14Speaker 3: And ever since then, needles have been a huge fear
- 5:16Speaker 3: of mine. And it's a it is, it is what
- 5:19Speaker 3: it is. Okay, Pitch three, I'm just gonna say strike.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I've been saying strike.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you got it. I mean live and die by it. There,
- 5:30Speaker 2: there we go, There we go, there we go. The
- 5:33Speaker 2: uh these are all tough. These are they're they're tough. Okay.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Pitch four.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Oh mm hmm. Picture challenged that one too. Yeah, I'm
- 5:46Speaker 1: gonna say ball because the picture challenged it. And oh
- 5:48Speaker 1: yeah that's that's a fact. So I'm gonna say ball. Yeah,
- 5:53Speaker 1: good for you.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Pictures are right. Yeah, the pictures are always wrong. And
- 5:57Speaker 2: I don't understand why. Maybe just the perspective from the
- 6:01Speaker 2: other side.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Have you ever stood on the mound? Nah?
- 6:05Speaker 2: I remember when I was a kid, there was a
- 6:08Speaker 2: tournament that if you ran across the mound, you had
- 6:12Speaker 2: to pitch like you like, if you ran on the mound,
- 6:15Speaker 2: you had to pitch, and so one of my boys,
- 6:19Speaker 2: he was running the third base and ran across the
- 6:21Speaker 2: mound and they made him end up pitching. And he
- 6:25Speaker 2: was terrible. I mean, he wasn't. He wasn't a good picture.
- 6:27Speaker 2: But anyways, uh So now I I think it just
- 6:31Speaker 2: kind of stuck with me. I will not run on
- 6:32Speaker 2: top of the mound. I always run around it.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I had a couple of innings in triple A and
- 6:36Speaker 3: I remember that plate, like you throw pitches and you
- 6:40Speaker 3: you just be like, that's that's definitely a strike. Like
- 6:43Speaker 3: you just think you think everything's going over that plate.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It's so it's just perspective.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a perspective thing. So they need to know
- 6:50Speaker 3: not to challenge. All Right, pitch five, I'm gonna say
- 6:55Speaker 3: strike on that one. I'm gonna say strike.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 6:59Speaker 2: At least we tied it. Yeah, we tied it, all right,
- 7:02Speaker 2: So that's that. I mean, it seems like three is
- 7:04Speaker 2: the the average. I guess, well, all three of them
- 7:09Speaker 2: got three, so I guess the three is average.
- 7:11Speaker 3: So I was also trying to pay attention to who
- 7:13Speaker 3: was in those videos, Like I said, the one the
- 7:14Speaker 3: picture challenged, I know Cabro has been challenging a ton, Okay,
- 7:19Speaker 3: but I don't think he's been that successful with it.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So that's why I was just going off off who
- 7:23Speaker 3: was in the video?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Okay, all right, so let's switch gears a little bit.
- 7:28Speaker 1: This year.
- 7:29Speaker 2: We started off you well, especially you, you started off really well.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I mean really, we've been playing well. We've got a
- 7:39Speaker 2: lot of the same guys, right, What do you think
- 7:44Speaker 2: makes this team a little different than the last couple
- 7:47Speaker 2: of years.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I think our age and our experience.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Like, I know, it's a weird thing to say, but like, uh,
- 7:53Speaker 3: you know, we've got so many guys that have been
- 7:55Speaker 3: around the block enough that like when you show up
- 7:58Speaker 3: to the field, you never know what you're gonna You
- 8:00Speaker 3: just know it's gonna be fun. Yeah, Like it's fun
- 8:02Speaker 3: to show up to the field because you never know
- 8:04Speaker 3: what Freddy's going to bring in, what You're going to
- 8:05Speaker 3: bring in, what Miggey Ro's going to bring in, Like
- 8:08Speaker 3: you know, you just you don't you don't know what
- 8:09Speaker 3: the guys are gonna bring. But everyone does something every
- 8:13Speaker 3: single day to try to make it fun because we
- 8:15Speaker 3: all understand, you know, this is a long eight months. Yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 3: you know, two's a lot of games to play, and uh,
- 8:20Speaker 3: you know, that's kind of been our identity over the
- 8:23Speaker 3: last several years. Like each year, even though it's the
- 8:26Speaker 3: same guys, the club takes on a different like identity.
- 8:30Speaker 3: But and then at the same time, it's kind of
- 8:32Speaker 3: the same because it's just us being a bunch of
- 8:34Speaker 3: clowns out there.
- 8:34Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 8:35Speaker 2: That's really That's really what I've kind of seen, is
- 8:37Speaker 2: like we just I think we're just getting better and
- 8:41Speaker 2: better at figuring out how to play one sixty two. Yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 2: and a good positive mindset, you know what I'm saying.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, we're definitely you know, and again this is I
- 8:52Speaker 1: feel like this is something you only learn with experience.
- 8:55Speaker 3: You know, you have to go through it and experience
- 8:58Speaker 3: it in order to know how to do with it. Yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 3: and you know, we've all just gotten so much better
- 9:03Speaker 3: at that and understanding every single day it's just a grind.
- 9:06Speaker 2: It is a grind, but you got to find a
- 9:08Speaker 2: way to enjoy it.
- 9:09Speaker 3: But also, every single day is a new day, So
- 9:11Speaker 3: it doesn't matter if you have three home runs with
- 9:12Speaker 3: three strikeouts. You got to show up the next day
- 9:14Speaker 3: and do it again.
- 9:15Speaker 2: That's what I love is like whether you got three
- 9:17Speaker 2: hits yesterday or no hits yesterday, we all understand, like
- 9:23Speaker 2: it doesn't matter. We're just going to focus on winning
- 9:26Speaker 2: today and then whoever does well today, because it's really
- 9:29Speaker 2: it really moves like there's been times where you will
- 9:33Speaker 2: go go off for three or four games or two
- 9:36Speaker 2: games or a week however long, right, and then you're
- 9:39Speaker 2: kind of careing the offense and then let's say, then
- 9:42Speaker 2: you may hit a little scuffle, but then somebody else
- 9:45Speaker 2: is doing it. But while somebody else is doing it,
- 9:47Speaker 2: you're not tripping.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You're just like.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Not you per se, but like you know, whoever it
- 9:54Speaker 2: is is not tripping because we know, oh, at some
- 9:57Speaker 2: point it's going to be our turn. And then but
- 9:59Speaker 2: right now, ride whoever's way you know we're doing.
- 10:03Speaker 1: We do a really good job of that.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I feel like, you know, it's again, I think that's
- 10:06Speaker 3: just the age and experience on our team. Like if
- 10:09Speaker 3: we were a bunch of young guys, I don't know
- 10:10Speaker 3: if we would have that same perspective because we haven't
- 10:12Speaker 3: been through it and haven't.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Been through it back in twenty four we started being
- 10:18Speaker 2: a lot more intentional about spending time together. I feel
- 10:21Speaker 2: like this year, we haven't gotten to spend as much
- 10:25Speaker 2: time together, but I think at the field, wep, we
- 10:28Speaker 2: spend more time together, if that makes sense.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, And part of that, I feel like
- 10:34Speaker 3: part of that is just how we've the way that
- 10:37Speaker 3: we've changed how we travel, you know, with doing the
- 10:40Speaker 3: two planes and everything now, because before it used to
- 10:42Speaker 3: be we'd get in and everyone goes to a team dinner.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Yep.
- 10:47Speaker 3: That's because we never flew after the game. We always
- 10:49Speaker 3: flew the next day on the off day, so we
- 10:51Speaker 3: always got into a city six o'clock at night, go
- 10:54Speaker 3: do a dinner, hang out with each other. Now we
- 10:57Speaker 3: fly the night before, which is something that we hadn't
- 10:59Speaker 3: done ever since I had been here.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And we're getting it getting in it one in the
- 11:03Speaker 1: morning or.
- 11:03Speaker 3: So you're you're not doing you're not doing anything at
- 11:06Speaker 3: two three in the morning. Guys want to go to sleep,
- 11:08Speaker 3: and then it's tough to get people together on the
- 11:10Speaker 3: off day when they're having the full off date of themselves.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But I do feel like because of that, we do
- 11:19Speaker 2: spend more time together at the field.
- 11:21Speaker 1: We do.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Our bus rides are man, we love our bus ride.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It's you.
- 11:28Speaker 2: It's hard to top those. Anytime we get on the
- 11:31Speaker 2: bus for more, it's almost like a disservice getting on
- 11:34Speaker 2: the bus less than like ten, ten, fifteen minutes because
- 11:38Speaker 2: we don't have enough time to really enjoy it.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, those get a little doesn't get a little
- 11:43Speaker 1: out of it. Sometimes it's good though, it's good. It's good.
- 11:46Speaker 3: It's good for some of the guys to experience that thing,
- 11:49Speaker 3: you know, they I think that helps them change.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Who they are for sure, for sure and keeps our
- 11:54Speaker 2: culture going. So right now, obviously we've been playing well.
- 11:58Speaker 2: We got a little a little lead in our division,
- 12:01Speaker 2: but obviously it's a long season. We have to continue
- 12:03Speaker 2: to play, uh to put to play well. What do
- 12:07Speaker 2: you think will help us stay consistent as we keep going.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I think if just us trying to find a way
- 12:14Speaker 3: to stay healthy. I mean, look, it's again, we've been
- 12:18Speaker 3: through it one sixty two. You're gonna have your ups,
- 12:20Speaker 3: you're gonna have your downs. But it's easier to go
- 12:23Speaker 3: through all of that when you have your guys. You know,
- 12:26Speaker 3: when you got guys filling in and you know, and
- 12:28Speaker 3: then our young guys are amazing, you know, the guys
- 12:31Speaker 3: that have come up and filled the roles. They've done
- 12:32Speaker 3: an amazing jo. You look what Ryan Ward did for
- 12:34Speaker 3: us for you know, a couple of weeks. They're really
- 12:37Speaker 3: really good job. But when you have your guys, it
- 12:40Speaker 3: just kind of makes makes it easier to go through
- 12:43Speaker 3: those roles, and you know, you don't feel you feel
- 12:46Speaker 3: like you're just showing doing up, showing up every single
- 12:48Speaker 3: day and just doing the.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Job and doing what you need to do, you know.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And I think.
- 12:51Speaker 3: For us, just being healthy is the key to us
- 12:55Speaker 3: continuing to dominate.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I would say the exact same thing.
- 12:58Speaker 2: I mean, health is as wealth at this point, especially
- 13:01Speaker 2: for us, I mean, because we got the guys that
- 13:04Speaker 2: we got. When we're healthy, is you know.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's tough.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Not on paper, you're not beating it. Yeah, it's but again,
- 13:14Speaker 3: like you look at how many guys we got on
- 13:15Speaker 3: the aisle right now, and you know some of the studying, pitching,
- 13:18Speaker 3: pitching we got on the ale and you know, Kik
- 13:21Speaker 3: and Will and all these guys, and so just you know,
- 13:23Speaker 3: it'd be nice to get them all back at once,
- 13:25Speaker 3: but at the same time, we don't need them back
- 13:27Speaker 3: into October.
- 13:28Speaker 2: So you know, which is the beauty, which is the
- 13:29Speaker 2: beau that's the beautiful thing about being a Dodger. So
- 13:33Speaker 2: I want to talk a little bit about show Hey Yoshi,
- 13:36Speaker 2: how they've been doing this year pitching wise, and really
- 13:39Speaker 2: you can throw Robo in there as well. They've really
- 13:42Speaker 2: every every five days. From my perspective, when I when
- 13:45Speaker 2: one of them take them ount, it's like, I'm not
- 13:47Speaker 2: saying it's a guaranteed win, but I am saying, like,
- 13:52Speaker 2: if we can just figure out a way to score
- 13:54Speaker 2: like four or five three four, that gives us a
- 13:58Speaker 2: real chance at it. And really seeing show Hay this year,
- 14:02Speaker 2: his mindset on it on pitching is really neat for me.
- 14:06Speaker 1: What about for you?
- 14:07Speaker 3: It's been really fun to watch. And you know, I
- 14:09Speaker 3: think you would agree with this statement that show Hay
- 14:14Speaker 3: likes to hit.
- 14:15Speaker 1: But he loves to think. He loves the pitch.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yeah, like he loves everything about pitching. He likes working
- 14:21Speaker 3: at it, he likes talking about it, he likes scouting
- 14:24Speaker 3: for it.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You know when it comes to hitting, you know, I
- 14:29Speaker 1: always laugh at our hitters in the middle.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Middle Yeah, yeah, what are you looking for to the
- 14:34Speaker 2: middle middle? Yeah?
- 14:35Speaker 3: It's like, you know, hitting just comes easy to him.
- 14:38Speaker 3: He just does it, which is crazy to say.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like pitching easy. Like pitching.
- 14:42Speaker 3: You see him out there every single day doing bullpens
- 14:44Speaker 3: and working on his mechanics and working on throwing, and
- 14:47Speaker 3: it's like the amount of work he puts in at pitching,
- 14:51Speaker 3: I almost feel like if he did that for hitting,
- 14:52Speaker 3: he'd be you know, he was out there and sixty
- 14:57Speaker 3: home runs. But you know, it's just uh yeah, it's
- 14:59Speaker 3: just insane to watch him do what he does every
- 15:01Speaker 3: single day.
- 15:02Speaker 2: What's cool is to see like well for me, is
- 15:06Speaker 2: to see like his the personality difference. Like when he hits,
- 15:11Speaker 2: he's just a normal guy. You can talk to him.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It's happy, go lucky, have you go lucky. But when
- 15:17Speaker 2: he pitches, it's like a completely killer. Yeah, he turns
- 15:21Speaker 2: into a killer out.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Man, there's don't don't talk. Don't talk to him, you know,
- 15:25Speaker 3: don't don't get in his way, don't mess him up. Yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 3: let him do his thing, make the place behind him.
- 15:30Speaker 3: But don't you know, hey, don't goof off around him.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yes, you don't like none of that.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Dead serious. But then when he's hitting, he's goofing off.
- 15:37Speaker 2: You know, it's like it's just weird to see. But
- 15:42Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, hey, I guess it is what
- 15:44Speaker 2: it is. And then Yoshi obviously as much as he
- 15:46Speaker 2: pitched last year, right, I think he had a pretty
- 15:49Speaker 2: I think he was healthy all year last year, then
- 15:51Speaker 2: pitched what he did in the postseason, and then to
- 15:56Speaker 2: now come around and do what he's doing now, it's like,
- 16:01Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever seen anybody stay healthy and
- 16:06Speaker 2: be as good for this long.
- 16:10Speaker 3: I agree, but I'm also not surprised when I see
- 16:12Speaker 3: what he does every single day. Yeah, that's that's fair.
- 16:14Speaker 3: You know if you saw his routine doing handstands.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Getting through the straws, yeah, the.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Stuff that since they got him doing, He's like, yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 3: you've been doing some of that too.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I've been doing some since a Yeah, I have been
- 16:24Speaker 2: doing some.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Since we saw We saw him on your shoulders and
- 16:27Speaker 3: spring training. You know, we all loved that one.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That was good. That was good.
- 16:32Speaker 2: I feel like since he's awesome man, he's done amazing
- 16:35Speaker 2: for for Yoshi. So uh, I'm trying to do it
- 16:39Speaker 2: to help me stay a little bit.
- 16:41Speaker 3: You know, when you look at Yoshi, there's not the
- 16:44Speaker 3: amount of work is second to none, but almost none
- 16:47Speaker 3: of it is like weightlifting stuff No, it's none of
- 16:49Speaker 3: That's that's what's crazy about it. It's all the stuff
- 16:51Speaker 3: that Sense has him doing. It's all balanced and you know.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Core, it's like finding your inner your inner like your
- 16:58Speaker 2: inner core muscles and like really using your body.
- 17:02Speaker 3: And that's the thing that's insane is he's putting in
- 17:04Speaker 3: more work than anybody and none of it involves touching away.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah, which is I mean, good for him. And then
- 17:11Speaker 2: obviously Robo. I think for like seeing Robo last year
- 17:14Speaker 2: coming out of the bullpen, he did great. Yeah, when
- 17:18Speaker 2: he pegedbacks, he did great. When he come in for
- 17:20Speaker 2: one inning, he did great. And then now seeing him
- 17:24Speaker 2: as a starter, I wasn't fully sure. I'm not saying
- 17:27Speaker 2: anything negative, but I was like, I don't know how
- 17:29Speaker 2: he'll be as a starter, And this dude has been.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Awesome for me.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I think he had to find a way to translate
- 17:37Speaker 3: his mindset from coming out of the pen to being
- 17:39Speaker 3: a starter, because his mindset coming out of the pen
- 17:43Speaker 3: is what you're seeing right now, the way he pitches
- 17:45Speaker 3: right now. But you know before that, when he was
- 17:48Speaker 3: a starter, I don't think his mindset was the same
- 17:51Speaker 3: because you know, he did the thing where you know,
- 17:53Speaker 3: the first pitch would be ninety two, then he'd be
- 17:55Speaker 3: ninety two, and then there's two strikes, and then here's
- 17:57Speaker 3: ninety seven. And you know when he came out of
- 18:00Speaker 3: the pen, he was just letting it loose every single
- 18:02Speaker 3: you know, from what I've seen this year, that's what
- 18:05Speaker 3: he's been doing right out of the gate. You know,
- 18:07Speaker 3: there's still some times where he might, you know, take
- 18:08Speaker 3: a little off here and there and save some but
- 18:11Speaker 3: from what I've seen from him, he's just had that
- 18:13Speaker 3: mindset that I'm gonna attack you. You know, I'm attack
- 18:16Speaker 3: every single battery right out of the gate, and I'm
- 18:19Speaker 3: not going to let off the gas. And you know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: he's got the stuff to be able to do that.
- 18:22Speaker 3: And sometimes when you have that stuff, you have to
- 18:25Speaker 3: have the mindset that back it up.
- 18:26Speaker 1: And I agree, I think they match. I think that's
- 18:28Speaker 1: what he's found.
- 18:29Speaker 2: He gets up he and I see him now and
- 18:31Speaker 2: I'm sure you do as well. Like I see him study,
- 18:34Speaker 2: I see him doing all the things that he needs
- 18:37Speaker 2: to do to be successful.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Prior to Yeah, he puts in the work.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and now when he gets up there, you can
- 18:43Speaker 2: see his confidence. You can see how much he competes,
- 18:47Speaker 2: and to your point, he has the stuff to do
- 18:49Speaker 2: it match with the mindset, and so this isn't luck.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I feel like this is like Robo is a really good,
- 18:57Speaker 2: brilliant pitch.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Yeah, there's nothing about this that is luck. Like you said,
- 19:00Speaker 3: him putting in the work, doing the scouting and everything.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Like I love seeing that from like an offensive player
- 19:05Speaker 3: because I feel like we sit there and we do
- 19:08Speaker 3: so much scouting and video, you know, looking at video
- 19:12Speaker 3: about the opposing picture, and then I feel like I
- 19:16Speaker 3: feel like they're just like, okay, all right.
- 19:19Speaker 1: About that picture, like you know, it doesn't mark. And
- 19:21Speaker 1: so I love to see.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Our pictures put in that kind of work and do
- 19:25Speaker 3: their homework on what pitch can I throw to certain guys?
- 19:28Speaker 3: What zones can I attack?
- 19:29Speaker 1: You know.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I like seeing the picture put in that kind of
- 19:32Speaker 3: work and you see the results when they do that.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So I want to switch gears a little bit.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I want to talk about some of the new guys
- 19:39Speaker 2: you mentioned. Awardoh, he came up while Teo was down,
- 19:43Speaker 2: did an amazing job, made some nice plays, which was huge, right,
- 19:48Speaker 2: because a lot of these guys when they come up
- 19:51Speaker 2: or come in, I don't think they realize how much
- 19:53Speaker 2: we pay attention to defense. You know, like we really
- 19:56Speaker 2: do care about hitting, and we want guys to hit
- 20:00Speaker 2: all so this stuff, but we pay a lot of
- 20:02Speaker 2: attention to defense, and I feel like that's kind of
- 20:05Speaker 2: that that's really what helps us.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Lots of World did an amazing.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Job with that, on top of hitting Tuck coming in.
- 20:11Speaker 1: This is his first year. What you got on Tuck.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I can't think of Tuck without thinking of Mickey rocking
- 20:18Speaker 1: him drunk.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Tuck in the outfield, you know, just the way he
- 20:22Speaker 2: catches the bottle.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I just you know, he catches everything.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Though he catches everything, nothing gets by him, and you
- 20:29Speaker 3: know it doesn't always look pretty, but he he.
- 20:32Speaker 1: He's Yeah, he's all.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I love when he tosses the ball back in and
- 20:38Speaker 3: Niggi's doing the same thing.
- 20:41Speaker 1: But no, I think Tuck's.
- 20:44Speaker 3: You know, I think he's a great player. I think
- 20:46Speaker 3: he's obviously kind of going through it a little bit
- 20:48Speaker 3: right now, but you know, we all love him well.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I want him to do well, and I think he's
- 20:54Speaker 3: gonna find his way. Yeah, you know, his first year,
- 20:58Speaker 3: new team, big contract, a lot pressure on him. I
- 21:01Speaker 3: think he's feeling it a little bit. Yeah, but you know,
- 21:04Speaker 3: I think he's gonna be fine.
- 21:05Speaker 2: The reason why I think he'll get is because I
- 21:07Speaker 2: really believe that even though there's pressure on the outside,
- 21:12Speaker 2: on the outside, I don't really feel like there's any
- 21:15Speaker 2: real pressure on him. And I think that he will
- 21:20Speaker 2: get it just because as we go through some of
- 21:23Speaker 2: these pressure games then big games, he won't have to
- 21:27Speaker 2: feel like he has to do it.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Because we all do you know, Yeah, none of this
- 21:32Speaker 3: is resting on his shoulders, you know, and we split that.
- 21:35Speaker 1: We split that pretty evenly in all of us.
- 21:37Speaker 3: And uh, you know, I think the other thing for
- 21:39Speaker 3: him too, And you know, I don't know if he
- 21:41Speaker 3: will admit this or not, but the first year with
- 21:44Speaker 3: a baby, oh.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm thinking about it.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, And you know, that can change things a lot.
- 21:49Speaker 3: You know, that's a we can speak from experience on
- 21:52Speaker 3: that that can change things a lot. And so I think,
- 21:54Speaker 3: you know, he's he's figuring out how to be bad
- 21:56Speaker 3: at home, you know, and be this base player also,
- 22:00Speaker 3: and that's a lot of stress to that. I just
- 22:03Speaker 3: don't think people realize gets put on us.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's it's another hat we got
- 22:09Speaker 2: to put on because we all want to be the
- 22:11Speaker 2: best baseball player we can be, but we want to
- 22:14Speaker 2: be a better dad.
- 22:15Speaker 1: And so it's that's it's a lot of pressure.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It's like your priorities. I'm not saying they yeah, they
- 22:22Speaker 2: shift a little bit. I mean they definitely, you know
- 22:24Speaker 2: they It kind of is what it is, I mean,
- 22:26Speaker 2: being a dad, and it almost like it takes over.
- 22:31Speaker 1: It.
- 22:31Speaker 2: It really kind of takes over because baseball is like
- 22:33Speaker 2: really your baby. Like I remember getting to the field
- 22:36Speaker 2: early all the time. I mean, everything was baseball all day,
- 22:40Speaker 2: every day. And now that you have kids, it's like, well,
- 22:43Speaker 2: baseball has to go to the side. Why you're at
- 22:45Speaker 2: home because you don't want to.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You can't.
- 22:49Speaker 3: You can't carry what Yeah, you can't carry over what
- 22:51Speaker 3: happens at the field.
- 22:52Speaker 1: To the home.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not fair to them.
- 22:54Speaker 3: It's not fair of the kids, not fair to your wife.
- 22:56Speaker 3: And you know it just whether you have a good
- 22:58Speaker 3: game or bad game, you can't that home. You know,
- 23:01Speaker 3: you have to find a way to separate the two.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Doesn't mean you can't think about them, but like you have.
- 23:05Speaker 1: To find a way to separate the two.
- 23:06Speaker 3: And so when you get home, you got to be dad,
- 23:08Speaker 3: you got to be a husband, You got to be nothing.
- 23:10Speaker 1: That the field can carry over to what's going on
- 23:13Speaker 1: at home.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, just like you said, it's not fair to
- 23:16Speaker 3: them and you want them to have the best upbringing
- 23:19Speaker 3: they can possibly have, and you know that can't happen
- 23:22Speaker 3: if you're not fully engaged when you're there exactly.
- 23:24Speaker 2: So, I do want to ask you, is it different
- 23:28Speaker 2: for you to be hitting seventh? You know, you've hit
- 23:32Speaker 2: seventh a couple of times in the lineup, especially when
- 23:35Speaker 2: everybody's in and you're leading I think you're leading third
- 23:40Speaker 2: basement in votes in the All Star or whatever, like.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Is that is it different for you?
- 23:45Speaker 2: Because like for you, you be hitting third, second, third, fourth,
- 23:51Speaker 2: and any other team really, you know.
- 23:54Speaker 3: With our team, it doesn't really matter. Yeah, it's you
- 23:57Speaker 3: know because you know, from a I guess from like
- 24:01Speaker 3: a selfish standpoint, you want to hit in certain spots
- 24:04Speaker 3: because you want opportunities to you know, you want to
- 24:06Speaker 3: the drive guys in. You want, But honestly, like with
- 24:11Speaker 3: our lineup, it doesn't matter. You're gonna get the opportunity
- 24:13Speaker 3: regard if you're hitting first, ninth, fifth, eighth, it doesn't
- 24:18Speaker 3: doesn't really matter. You're gonna have opportunities to drive runs in,
- 24:20Speaker 3: You're gonna have opportunities.
- 24:21Speaker 1: To get big hits. If I'm being totally honest.
- 24:26Speaker 3: When you beat, when you and this is something I
- 24:29Speaker 3: never realized because, like you said, I'd always hit more
- 24:31Speaker 3: middle of the order, top of the order. When you
- 24:33Speaker 3: bat down at the bottom, you don't get as many
- 24:35Speaker 3: at bats per game. So if you get that one
- 24:37Speaker 3: for three or for me, you know, you know me
- 24:39Speaker 3: because I walk. If you get that one for two
- 24:41Speaker 3: and you have to walk, your numbers look a lot better.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Get five at bats six at bats a game.
- 24:46Speaker 2: But what us But with us, though you are getting
- 24:49Speaker 2: you probably are getting.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we're still getting six.
- 24:53Speaker 2: So yeah, but I do batting fourth, it's different because
- 24:59Speaker 2: there are times when I do get that one for
- 25:01Speaker 2: three and you know, you know, or one for throo
- 25:03Speaker 2: of the walk or whatever. But when you're leading off
- 25:05Speaker 2: bat and second, which we've done together, like you're constantly
- 25:08Speaker 2: getting five six at bats when you're going through it
- 25:11Speaker 2: like it tanks and.
- 25:13Speaker 3: In our order, you always feel like you always feel
- 25:16Speaker 3: like you're getting your stuff on to get ready to hit.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Wait like that.
- 25:20Speaker 3: That's one thing I remember when you bat second third,
- 25:23Speaker 3: you like you just feel like you're always putting your
- 25:25Speaker 3: stuff on to get ready to hit it.
- 25:27Speaker 1: It comes up quick, which is good. That's good. It's
- 25:29Speaker 1: not a bad thing.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, And I also want to talk about
- 25:32Speaker 2: Russia a little bit. I know Rush, it's it's a
- 25:37Speaker 2: lot for him seeing Smitty not there. I think we
- 25:41Speaker 2: I I in specific, took for granted how much he
- 25:46Speaker 2: he uh carried for us on the pitching side, and
- 25:51Speaker 2: now seeing Rush kind of going through it and seeing
- 25:54Speaker 2: like how hard it is for him and how he's
- 25:58Speaker 2: stepping up and he is, He's doing his best. Like
- 26:00Speaker 2: he's from he needs experience, right, and this is this
- 26:04Speaker 2: is the experience. And I feel like he's learning on
- 26:05Speaker 2: the fly. He is getting better. He's getting better, and
- 26:08Speaker 2: it takes a little time, right, But you know, seeing
- 26:13Speaker 2: not having Smitty and seeing what he did on the
- 26:20Speaker 2: for the pitching staff on top of hitting, makes me
- 26:22Speaker 2: really appreciate. Wow, Will Smith really does do a lot
- 26:27Speaker 2: for us, and now having Rush try and step in
- 26:29Speaker 2: and do that that's really hard for him, especially being
- 26:33Speaker 2: a rookie.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah, let's start by saying Rush is doing an amazing job.
- 26:36Speaker 1: He's doing an amazing he's an amazing job.
- 26:39Speaker 3: But like you said, it does make you appreciate exactly
- 26:43Speaker 3: what Will does.
- 26:44Speaker 1: And you know, Will was the same when he was
- 26:46Speaker 1: at that stage.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Ye Will had to learn and you know, Will had
- 26:50Speaker 3: to learn with Kersh, you know.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Which is much tougher, a little bit tougher.
- 26:54Speaker 3: You know, I mean, you know, and I think, but
- 26:57Speaker 3: I also think that's one of the things that was
- 26:59Speaker 3: good for for Will. And I think, you know, you
- 27:02Speaker 3: look at what Rush is doing with shohe and with Yama,
- 27:05Speaker 3: like it's good for him to understand. And you know,
- 27:10Speaker 3: we talked about this in the endfield all the time,
- 27:12Speaker 3: like why we call in certain pitches and his situations
- 27:14Speaker 3: and you know, not that we're second guessing anybody, but
- 27:18Speaker 3: you just you start getting this feel for the game
- 27:20Speaker 3: that I think Russia is still learning. You know, sometimes
- 27:23Speaker 3: it's okay to get away from what the sheet is
- 27:25Speaker 3: telling you, you know it. And that was the thing
- 27:29Speaker 3: that I think Will learned with Curse a lot, because
- 27:31Speaker 3: I mean, what's Kurse throwing. He's throwing a fastball slider and.
- 27:33Speaker 1: It's going to be into right handed better mm hm.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Well, there's a lot of times when will look at
- 27:37Speaker 3: the sheet and be like, well, we can't throw a
- 27:39Speaker 3: slider to this guy. He hits it, and it's like,
- 27:41Speaker 3: that's what Kursh is going to throw.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That's his best pitch. He needs to throw it.
- 27:45Speaker 3: And I think that helped will learn sometimes it's okay
- 27:48Speaker 3: to go off script and you know, do things that
- 27:52Speaker 3: maybe the data says is not what you should do.
- 27:55Speaker 3: And I think, you know, that's one thing that I
- 27:58Speaker 3: that we weird agree Russia's learning, especially with show Hey,
- 28:01Speaker 3: Show Hey wants to throw certain pitches and certain locations
- 28:03Speaker 3: and maybe the data says that's not the best thing
- 28:06Speaker 3: to do. But you know, when the picture is convicted
- 28:08Speaker 3: and doing that, you have to go off what the
- 28:09Speaker 3: picture wants, especially when it's a guy like show Hey Yama,
- 28:13Speaker 3: you know.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I mean really everybody in a staff.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Yeah, at some point, you know, he'll be when Snell
- 28:18Speaker 2: and all these guys get back, Like, he'll be catching
- 28:20Speaker 2: all these those guys and like.
- 28:21Speaker 3: You know, there's times where hey, that's probably not the
- 28:25Speaker 3: pitch you should throw, but that's what the picture really
- 28:27Speaker 3: wants to throw, and so you got to let him
- 28:28Speaker 3: do it, and you got to make sure you're behind
- 28:29Speaker 3: them and you know, I think that's that's one of
- 28:31Speaker 3: the things that Russia is learning and it's Yeah, it
- 28:34Speaker 3: does make you appreciate Will because Will's grown so much
- 28:37Speaker 3: in that aspect of it that you know, there's no
- 28:40Speaker 3: second guessing what he's calling back there, and the pictures
- 28:42Speaker 3: have given full trust to Will, and you know, I
- 28:45Speaker 3: feel like Will's hardly ever shaken off, like yeah, it's
- 28:48Speaker 3: very very few times, and you know, you go to Will.
- 28:53Speaker 3: One of the things I love when when Yama's pitching
- 28:55Speaker 3: and you know, I know you've seen this, Yama goes
- 28:58Speaker 3: to his Pitchcolm right, and he'll call pitch and he
- 29:00Speaker 3: looks at Will and he's like, yeah, he wants to
- 29:04Speaker 3: make sure Will thinks it's a good picture to throw.
- 29:07Speaker 3: But and then that's where Will is like, if that's
- 29:09Speaker 3: what you want to throw, then yes, yeah, sure that's
- 29:12Speaker 3: the best picture.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Sure for sure, I knew. And then I know, I
- 29:16Speaker 2: want to speak a little bit about that the situation
- 29:18Speaker 2: in Minnesota with with Rush and show Hey, obviously we
- 29:23Speaker 2: all you know, everybody kind of saw it. That was
- 29:27Speaker 2: that was really kind of a I feel like a
- 29:30Speaker 2: huge moment for Rush there when they go down and
- 29:36Speaker 2: and whatnot. You know, we got to go down and
- 29:39Speaker 2: look at me and you damn man, we're just being nosy.
- 29:44Speaker 1: What you'all doing?
- 29:45Speaker 2: That's what I was being nosy?
- 29:47Speaker 1: Man.
- 29:49Speaker 2: You know, I was really just kind of seeing how
- 29:51Speaker 2: this is going to play out, you know, like what
- 29:53Speaker 2: was what was possibly going to be said.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I think it was a good I think it was
- 29:57Speaker 1: a good drawing moment. Yeah, for sure.
- 29:59Speaker 3: You know, obviously you don't want any of that to
- 30:02Speaker 3: happen with your teammates, But I think it's a good
- 30:05Speaker 3: growing moment for both guys because you know, Show's not
- 30:10Speaker 3: always gonna be able to throw to Will and you know,
- 30:13Speaker 3: for Rush, he's got to learn that there's and this
- 30:15Speaker 3: is one of those moments where it was like, hey,
- 30:17Speaker 3: sometimes Show wants to throw a pitch that maybe isn't
- 30:20Speaker 3: the best pitch to throw. And I think that's what
- 30:22Speaker 3: Rush was kind of learning in that moment. You know,
- 30:25Speaker 3: sometimes things can speed up during the game, and I
- 30:28Speaker 3: think that's a little bit what happened there. And again,
- 30:30Speaker 3: like we've said before, that's experienced that you just you
- 30:34Speaker 3: learn how to deal with that, right the more you've
- 30:36Speaker 3: been in those types of situations.
- 30:37Speaker 2: And what I What I really enjoyed was like how
- 30:39Speaker 2: Rush later on took took accountability and he knows, he
- 30:44Speaker 2: knows he he knows that he has a lot on
- 30:47Speaker 2: his plate. Hey, he really knows it.
- 30:50Speaker 3: You're you're the catcher for a staff that's you know,
- 30:53Speaker 3: first in baseball for a lot of categories. So you know, yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 3: that's a lot on your plate. And he's done an
- 30:58Speaker 3: amazing job handling it.
- 31:00Speaker 2: He's done, He's done a great job handling and handling it.
- 31:03Speaker 2: And I think, uh, you know, he'll he'll just keep learning,
- 31:06Speaker 2: He'll just keep learning, and then as sweet he comes back,
- 31:08Speaker 2: I'm sure he'll learn even quicker.
- 31:11Speaker 1: You know.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Look, not one of us knew how to handle that
- 31:14Speaker 3: situation at that stage.
- 31:17Speaker 1: No, No, we all had to learn. Yeah, everybody does.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I mean how many times?
- 31:20Speaker 3: How many times were you peeking around the corner and
- 31:22Speaker 3: I was breaking a bat down in the tunnel or something.
- 31:24Speaker 1: You know, which I love, by the way, I love that,
- 31:28Speaker 1: But you know, like we've all been we've all been there.
- 31:31Speaker 3: You have to learn, you have to grow, and you
- 31:33Speaker 3: can't do that until you've experienced it. And you know,
- 31:35Speaker 3: that's just that's what he's going through with exactly.
- 31:38Speaker 2: So I want to talk a little about a little
- 31:40Speaker 2: bit about you know, pursuing the three p Obviously everyone
- 31:43Speaker 2: knows that. What do you think we really need to
- 31:46Speaker 2: do to uh, to get there?
- 31:49Speaker 1: Man?
- 31:49Speaker 3: We just keep doing something we've been doing, and it's
- 31:52Speaker 3: you know, for us again, we show up every single day.
- 31:55Speaker 3: We we don't let anything carry over from previous days,
- 32:00Speaker 3: except for on the bus. You know, everything's fair game
- 32:02Speaker 3: on the bus. But like in terms of the game,
- 32:05Speaker 3: we don't let anything carry over from previous days. Whether
- 32:07Speaker 3: you've had three home runs, three strikeouts, ten punch outs,
- 32:10Speaker 3: no punch outs, you know, you made three errors, you
- 32:14Speaker 3: made three diving plays, Like, nothing carries over to the
- 32:17Speaker 3: next day. You show up every single day, you do
- 32:19Speaker 3: your routine, You got to work, you're oh for roh,
- 32:21Speaker 3: you got to go out there and play that game.
- 32:22Speaker 3: And we do such a good job of Like that's
- 32:25Speaker 3: all we focus on, is all right, what are we
- 32:27Speaker 3: doing today to win this game?
- 32:28Speaker 1: You know?
- 32:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you know we're facing you know, facing again today
- 32:32Speaker 3: and you know what are we going to do to
- 32:34Speaker 3: beat him? Well, then now we're going to face whoever tomorrow,
- 32:37Speaker 3: Like we don't know who are facing tomorrow. We don't
- 32:39Speaker 3: care until it's tomorrow and then we face that guy
- 32:42Speaker 3: and then you know, every day you show up with
- 32:44Speaker 3: that kind of attitude, in that mindset, and you know,
- 32:48Speaker 3: we've done that the last several years, and it's it's
- 32:50Speaker 3: that's kind of been what's gotten us over that hump,
- 32:52Speaker 3: and you know, we just got to keep doing that.
- 32:54Speaker 2: I think, do you think there's a difference in energy
- 32:57Speaker 2: this year than than other, like nervous energy? For me,
- 33:04Speaker 2: don't I think that the energy is we don't even
- 33:09Speaker 2: think about three Peter or any of that. I think
- 33:12Speaker 2: we're just thinking about to your point, like one game
- 33:14Speaker 2: at a time, and then eventually we'll get there.
- 33:16Speaker 3: You know what I think honestly, we got a bunch
- 33:20Speaker 3: of guys that we're getting old, and I think some
- 33:24Speaker 3: of us are starting to see that light at the
- 33:25Speaker 3: end of the tunnel. And so I think I think
- 33:29Speaker 3: we've got a bunch of guys that are trying to
- 33:30Speaker 3: enjoy being out there every single day as much as possible.
- 33:33Speaker 3: And you know, Mickey Rose the leader of that obviously,
- 33:34Speaker 3: But like, I just don't think we have time to
- 33:38Speaker 3: let anything else like worry us. We just want to
- 33:41Speaker 3: enjoy being with the boys out there every single day
- 33:43Speaker 3: working and playing and winning. And you know, I don't
- 33:46Speaker 3: I don't think any of that other stuff's on our mind.
- 33:48Speaker 2: I don't think so either. I wholeheartedly agree with that.
- 33:52Speaker 2: I think, being we're all we just have fun every day, man,
- 33:56Speaker 2: And like like you said, half of us don't have
- 34:00Speaker 2: much longer left and so and I would I'd venture
- 34:06Speaker 2: to bet that not many of us have been in
- 34:10Speaker 2: clubhouses that have all been in the same mind the
- 34:13Speaker 2: same mindset, you know, going through it the same way
- 34:16Speaker 2: and enjoying it this way. And I mean, I don't
- 34:20Speaker 2: think so.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I don't think so either.
- 34:22Speaker 3: But you know that was something that we had to
- 34:24Speaker 3: build and that was a lot of years of us,
- 34:29Speaker 3: you know, not achieving our full potential for that to happen.
- 34:33Speaker 3: And you know, now we've reached that point where we
- 34:36Speaker 3: don't even think about it. We show up and how
- 34:38Speaker 3: can how can we have fun today?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all we're thinking about, speaking of having fun.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I know after winning the series, Mickey Roe brought this
- 34:45Speaker 2: back in I think twenty three and.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Uh yeah it was because it was him and Peralta.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, DP, yeah, so we uh we started doing the
- 34:55Speaker 2: shot after at the after the end of winning a series,
- 34:58Speaker 2: and I think that really kind of helped us play
- 35:02Speaker 2: one game at a time, one series at a time.
- 35:05Speaker 2: And and you know, so what it is is, you know,
- 35:07Speaker 2: after we win a series, Maggie talks and we basically
- 35:11Speaker 2: name a player of the series. It could be a picture,
- 35:14Speaker 2: it could be anybody, and we take a shot for
- 35:17Speaker 2: for win of the series, and then we take a
- 35:19Speaker 2: picture which we all get at the end of the year,
- 35:21Speaker 2: which is really neat just to see all the different
- 35:24Speaker 2: faces who were the player of the series. That's they're
- 35:27Speaker 2: they're they're the ones taking the picture, and I think
- 35:29Speaker 2: it's it really kind of keeps us grounded out.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I would say, yeah, it was cool, and you know
- 35:35Speaker 3: it was something that I had never realized. But you know,
- 35:38Speaker 3: Miggie and for Alter they talked about it that year
- 35:40Speaker 3: and they said, you know, we take winning winning for granted,
- 35:44Speaker 3: like we don't appreciate we don't appreciate the win enough.
- 35:48Speaker 3: And you know, they had been some places where winning
- 35:52Speaker 3: was kind of rare, and you know that helped us
- 35:55Speaker 3: kind of understand that, Like he went winning winning games
- 35:59Speaker 3: of special we were just so used to winning that
- 36:01Speaker 3: you know, we didn't fully appreciate it, and so now
- 36:04Speaker 3: it's like, hey, we appreciate every single win because you know,
- 36:08Speaker 3: you play, you play the series, and you win that
- 36:11Speaker 3: first game, you hey, we got one more in towards
- 36:13Speaker 3: taking shots, and then you know, you do that and
- 36:16Speaker 3: it's like, hey, we's sweep today, We're taking shots. It's
- 36:19Speaker 3: you know, it's it's just a fun little tradition that
- 36:22Speaker 3: he started, and it definitely helped us put the focus
- 36:27Speaker 3: on winning games instead of just kind of going through
- 36:29Speaker 3: the motions of you know, that's what we're supposed.
- 36:33Speaker 1: To do versus Now we enjoy it.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's weird, like if we don't win a
- 36:37Speaker 2: series or whatever, it's weird not taking the shot.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, it makes you when you when you
- 36:45Speaker 1: take that next shot.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Eventually you you sit there and say, man, it's been
- 36:48Speaker 3: a long time since we've done this, Like, hey, let's
- 36:50Speaker 3: not do that again.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Let's not let's not let it get that longer again.
- 36:52Speaker 2: It's almost like it's not that it's something for us
- 36:55Speaker 2: to look forward to. You know, we we know we
- 36:58Speaker 2: are that that meeting for the games. It's something we
- 37:01Speaker 2: I think we all really enjoy and it's it's.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Fun, you know for everyone out there. There's a lot
- 37:06Speaker 3: of apple juice in there. Also, you know, we're not
- 37:08Speaker 3: we're not forcing anyone to do anything they don't want
- 37:10Speaker 3: to do. You know, there's it's it's probably half and half. Honestly,
- 37:14Speaker 3: a lot of guys are doing apple juice. And so
- 37:17Speaker 3: it's the whole point of it, though, is we're just celebrating.
- 37:20Speaker 3: So just take a drink of something. We're celebrating. We're
- 37:24Speaker 3: not forcing anything on anyone.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Some guys do protein. You can whatever you want, literally,
- 37:27Speaker 2: whatever you want. So obviously, you know a lot of
- 37:30Speaker 2: guys have superstitions. Have you ever have you seen there's
- 37:34Speaker 2: a Freddie Freeman shrine candle? No, I don't know what
- 37:39Speaker 2: that is. What's what's the what's the? Oh wow, so
- 37:45Speaker 2: they they burned this? Did they burn this during our
- 37:49Speaker 2: games or something?
- 37:51Speaker 1: Oh wow?
- 37:51Speaker 2: Okay, so that that's a superstition.
- 37:53Speaker 1: There you go. Can we get one of these?
- 37:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we need we need to get one. Whoever you are,
- 37:58Speaker 2: send us a couple of these.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Police.
- 38:01Speaker 3: I would love nothing more than for Freddy's locker to
- 38:03Speaker 3: have like three of these things.
- 38:06Speaker 1: He would hate it so much.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Okay, if you had to if you had to. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 2: do you have any superstitions?
- 38:17Speaker 1: I mean the same that everyone has, probably.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Probably the same stuff. I don't step on the white line.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, you don't step on the white line.
- 38:24Speaker 3: If if I if I hit three home runs, you
- 38:26Speaker 3: better believe I'm eating everything the exact same the next
- 38:29Speaker 3: day us regardless, using the same bat, same batting gloves.
- 38:33Speaker 3: If I have a bad game, see you batting gloves.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Uh socks, see you know new socks. That's just normal. Yeah,
- 38:41Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. I wouldn't.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I don't think there's anything I do that's like out
- 38:46Speaker 3: of the ordinary. Like obviously, like I said, we all
- 38:48Speaker 3: have our superstitions, but it's just the ordinary ones. I
- 38:50Speaker 3: don't think there's anything I'm doing it's crazy.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I know some people have some
- 38:54Speaker 1: crazy ones out there.
- 38:55Speaker 2: But there are some crazy ones out there. But yeah,
- 38:57Speaker 2: I don't. I feel like our up for us, for
- 39:00Speaker 2: the boys, we don't. There's not very many. You know,
- 39:03Speaker 2: I don't even remember seeing any real Yeah.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I know baseball players have some, but like it's tough
- 39:08Speaker 1: to do that for one sixty two.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Yeah, again, to stick to the same thing, Like, especially
- 39:14Speaker 2: with as much as we traveled and your families and
- 39:18Speaker 2: like different.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Routines, different stadiums, different setup. You look at here right,
- 39:24Speaker 3: like you gotta walk across the outfield to get to
- 39:26Speaker 3: the dugout. So it's like, you know, it's it's it's
- 39:30Speaker 3: tough to do that in baseball. Yeah, and like I'm
- 39:32Speaker 3: sure there's some people that have some ridiculous ones, but.
- 39:37Speaker 1: That's that's just hard to do. Yeah, I agree.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Okay, So, uh, if you had one at bat, not
- 39:43Speaker 2: you well, if you had one at bat that you
- 39:46Speaker 2: needed someone to get a hit, who would you put?
- 39:51Speaker 1: Like, who would you? Who would you in all of baseball?
- 39:53Speaker 1: From our team?
- 39:53Speaker 2: From our team? Frederick Frederick Frederick Kreeman. I think that's
- 39:58Speaker 2: a I think everybody would do.
- 40:00Speaker 1: That, man.
- 40:01Speaker 3: I mean I've got twenty five hundred hits, man, Like,
- 40:05Speaker 3: I mean, I know he has a lot of doubles,
- 40:08Speaker 3: but when I saw it on the board the other
- 40:09Speaker 3: day that he has almost fifteen hundred doubles.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that's disgusting, that's insane, It's disgusting. You don't
- 40:15Speaker 2: even really realize it. You know, every day, every day
- 40:19Speaker 2: it's a double and you don't even realize like the
- 40:22Speaker 2: hit rate that he has, like because you just get
- 40:24Speaker 2: so used to it, you.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Know what I mean.
- 40:26Speaker 3: He three hundred is his standard. Yeah, but it's three
- 40:29Speaker 3: hundred with slug with slug. Yeah, it's not three hundred
- 40:32Speaker 3: slap singles. It's you know, three hundred with doubles and
- 40:35Speaker 3: homers and RBIs.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's weird.
- 40:39Speaker 3: It's an impressive man. It's an impressive man. He's been
- 40:42Speaker 3: doing it for a long time.
- 40:43Speaker 2: And it's the way he goes about it is so
- 40:45Speaker 2: like nonchalant. He doesn't even like he cares. But you
- 40:51Speaker 2: you just don't. You can't tell.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I mean, he might care more than any of us.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Like you said, you can't tell it all because he's
- 40:57Speaker 3: just he's the same guy regard today.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Nothing changes him, all right.
- 41:01Speaker 2: So we're going to play name that Dodger. Uh, you
- 41:04Speaker 2: got your whiteboard, got your pencil. What we're going to
- 41:08Speaker 2: do is I'm gonna say a statement, which is a question,
- 41:13Speaker 2: you name who you would or would not want to
- 41:18Speaker 2: do these things. So first would be who would you
- 41:22Speaker 2: not let pack your bag for a road trip?
- 41:27Speaker 3: Does this have to be current Dodgers? Yeah, current Dodgers
- 41:31Speaker 3: was gonna put LuxI on there.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Use looks. Who would you not let pack your bag?
- 41:38Speaker 2: Who would I not let pack my bag? That is
- 41:49Speaker 2: a This is okay, let's switch, let's let's go, Let's
- 41:52Speaker 2: do another because.
- 41:53Speaker 3: The problem is we got you try to pick a
- 41:57Speaker 3: young guy. Yeah, but I watched Freeland pack his own
- 42:00Speaker 3: bag every single time that we travel. He doesn't let
- 42:02Speaker 3: the club's packet, so like, yeah, you know that, there's
- 42:05Speaker 3: no there's no one I wouldn't pick on that.
- 42:06Speaker 2: No, okay, so okay, let's go to the next Let's.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Skip that one for now.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Okay, who gives the best clubhouse clubhouse speech? I mean
- 42:13Speaker 2: that's pretty easy to me, but.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I handretning is bad.
- 42:20Speaker 2: So yep, Miggie Rowe he uh, he's the mite guy.
- 42:28Speaker 2: He is the Hawks guy. Meggie Meggi is the guy that.
- 42:34Speaker 1: He's the clubhouse guy.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I'm saying. He kind of keeps
- 42:37Speaker 2: us in order. He does a lot of things that
- 42:41Speaker 2: you don't really realize you need until he does it,
- 42:46Speaker 2: you know, Soggi Meggi is the guy for that. Okay,
- 42:51Speaker 2: who is one picture you don't want to say anything
- 42:54Speaker 2: to during a mountain visit?
- 42:57Speaker 1: Again? This is current, right current, because I would have
- 43:00Speaker 1: said cursh Yeah, for sure, curse.
- 43:02Speaker 2: But I feel like everybody now, like you could go
- 43:05Speaker 2: up to the mountain visit and even though show is
- 43:07Speaker 2: a killer up there, you could still say.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Something to you. If you and me went up and
- 43:11Speaker 1: said something to him, he'd start laughing.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he would laugh. You know what I'm saying. He
- 43:14Speaker 2: would laugh, Yoshi, he would be just fine. She him
- 43:20Speaker 2: would be fine, Robo would be fine. I don't know anybody.
- 43:25Speaker 2: I think everybody would be fine if we went and
- 43:29Speaker 2: snell would be fine, Glass would be I mean, I
- 43:35Speaker 2: don't know that I have any Let's see, Okay, so
- 43:40Speaker 2: who who's the most intense up there?
- 43:43Speaker 3: I'll put a name down. It's probably not it's probably
- 43:46Speaker 3: not right, but I'm gonna put a name down.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna do I'm gonna do this. This name, I
- 43:50Speaker 2: got this. This is the guy the most intense up there?
- 43:55Speaker 2: All right, snell Is and snell Is he's got fire.
- 44:01Speaker 2: You just don't really think about it. I go vest
- 44:03Speaker 2: because he yells after every time he gets a punch out.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that's a good one. So I want
- 44:09Speaker 1: to know, because.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Like what am I going to tell him, and he's
- 44:14Speaker 3: probably thinking the same thing, like what could I What
- 44:16Speaker 3: could I possibly tell him?
- 44:18Speaker 1: Like he knows what he's doing, you know.
- 44:20Speaker 2: He has nothing to say.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Yeah, So like if I if I called the mound visit,
- 44:25Speaker 3: he'd probably just stand there and be like, what.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Are we doing? Yeah? Yeah in his voice, you know,
- 44:30Speaker 1: what are we doing? Get away from me?
- 44:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Like you know, unless I had something that he
- 44:35Speaker 3: was tipping, like in which that, in which case he'd
- 44:37Speaker 3: probably want to know. But like other than that, other
- 44:40Speaker 3: than that, he'd probably just be like, what are we doing?
- 44:42Speaker 1: You know?
- 44:43Speaker 2: Okay? So next one, which non parent teammate would you
- 44:47Speaker 2: let babies sit your kids?
- 44:50Speaker 1: Non parent teammate? This, this answer is going to surprise you.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Okay, uh, non parent? I well got I feel like
- 44:58Speaker 2: everybody on our team has a kid. Non parent teammate.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Who would I let watch my kids?
- 45:07Speaker 1: The answer is gonna really surprise you.
- 45:10Speaker 2: You know what I'm gonna go here, all right?
- 45:16Speaker 1: I mean it's only like two guys. Who you going with?
- 45:19Speaker 2: I'm going with Free Rush Okay, Yeah, there you go, okay,
- 45:23Speaker 2: which is Rush would be a protector. He wouldn't let
- 45:26Speaker 2: nothing happen to them.
- 45:26Speaker 3: But like I've seen the way he interacts with everyone
- 45:28Speaker 3: else's kids, and oh I haven't seen that. Yeah, he's amazing,
- 45:31Speaker 3: Like whenever everyone else's kids are around, like, he is
- 45:33Speaker 3: amazing with other people's kids. He's always playing with them.
- 45:37Speaker 3: He's always having tune with them, you know, because you
- 45:40Speaker 3: know how our clubbouse is. We got kids all over
- 45:42Speaker 3: the place. He's playing catch with all of them. You know,
- 45:44Speaker 3: he's playing you know, he's playing whatever games are in
- 45:47Speaker 3: the clubhouse with him. So he does an amazing job.
- 45:49Speaker 3: And I've seen that firsthand, and so you know, I would,
- 45:52Speaker 3: I would trust him.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I haven't seen that, I said free because I just
- 45:56Speaker 2: feel like he's a good he's a good kid. He's
- 45:59Speaker 2: a good kid, and he uh, he's got a good
- 46:02Speaker 2: head on his shoulders, and he has a little bit
- 46:05Speaker 2: of patience. He has a little bit of patience. I've
- 46:06Speaker 2: seen him, you know, when he's not getting hits, and
- 46:10Speaker 2: not that it matters with watching the kids, but I
- 46:12Speaker 2: just seen like when he's going through it, he's got
- 46:15Speaker 2: a good.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Mental head on.
- 46:17Speaker 2: You know, he's good mentally, and then when he's playing great,
- 46:20Speaker 2: he's good mentally.
- 46:21Speaker 3: So that's my theory. It's a tough one thoughcause, like
- 46:23Speaker 3: I said, you got like three people. There's not many people.
- 46:27Speaker 1: All right.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Last one, if you were an opposing team, which Dodger
- 46:31Speaker 2: would you least want to face in a bench clearing brawl?
- 46:36Speaker 1: Guys? Count?
- 46:37Speaker 2: Yeah, if you want, this is gonna be random.
- 46:45Speaker 1: You're gonna be like, Wow, that's kind of random. Who
- 46:46Speaker 1: do you go here? You going?
- 46:48Speaker 2: Oh, grader?
- 46:48Speaker 1: You could?
- 46:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great. I'm going at Guardo because I see
- 46:52Speaker 2: him after he throws a pitch and he just stands
- 46:55Speaker 2: on the mound and stares.
- 46:56Speaker 1: At the hitden.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you got bazooks and you got baby bazooks exactly.
- 47:04Speaker 1: The baby bazooks is bigger than the regular one. All right.
- 47:09Speaker 2: So we got a couple more things before I let
- 47:12Speaker 2: you go. Man, I know we got to go to work.
- 47:15Speaker 2: So I do want to talk about a little bit
- 47:18Speaker 2: about you. You got some big home runs in the
- 47:20Speaker 2: clutch last year Game seven. I know in eighteen you
- 47:25Speaker 2: hit the walk off. Which was which one of those
- 47:29Speaker 2: is your favorite? Or which? Actually that there you go,
- 47:31Speaker 2: there's the walk off right there. I remember watching that
- 47:34Speaker 2: and when you hit it, part of me was like, dang,
- 47:42Speaker 2: I cannot believe we lost the game, especially after what
- 47:44Speaker 2: Iavaldi had done. You know, he had went six and
- 47:47Speaker 2: he was he was pitching really well. But the other
- 47:49Speaker 2: part of me was like, I'm yeah, I'm ready to
- 47:52Speaker 2: go home. You know, it was eighteen innings, bro, it
- 47:56Speaker 2: was it was eighteen innings with no pitchclock, with no
- 47:59Speaker 2: pitch clock. Yeah, you know, and like I know, I
- 48:01Speaker 2: had said last year's eighteen era, Yeah, last year's eighteen
- 48:06Speaker 2: inning game was was a little boring.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I feel like that.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I meant that in the context because that eighteen inning game,
- 48:11Speaker 2: there was a lot of back and forth throughout the
- 48:13Speaker 2: middle of those eighteen innings, you know, eleven twelve, whatever,
- 48:17Speaker 2: There was situations for both teams to win, and we didn't.
- 48:20Speaker 3: I feel like there was guys on base every inning,
- 48:22Speaker 3: every end until until like the sixteenth maybe yeah, and
- 48:28Speaker 3: then it was just everyone was trying to get the
- 48:29Speaker 3: one swing.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly were last year. To me, it seems
- 48:33Speaker 2: like there wasn't it was.
- 48:34Speaker 1: It was.
- 48:35Speaker 2: It was just a bunch of one two three, one
- 48:36Speaker 2: two three, one two three, one two three. But what
- 48:39Speaker 2: would you say, like that is your your biggest homer?
- 48:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean this probably this one, Probably this one, yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 3: and eighteenth inning World Series.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Did you even go to sleep after that? Like, were
- 48:49Speaker 2: you just just just so excited?
- 48:51Speaker 1: It was tough.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I figured.
- 48:55Speaker 3: I mean I did go to sleep because that was
- 48:57Speaker 3: eight hours of the playoff baseball, you know, and so
- 49:00Speaker 3: uh yeah, you eventually just passed out.
- 49:03Speaker 1: But in there you are walking off the field.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that was sick.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Just think just thinking how you were going to ruin ruin,
- 49:10Speaker 3: ruin our night the next two nights.
- 49:12Speaker 2: It wasn't me, It was the rest of the boys.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I mean you were involved in it.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I did a little bit. I did a little bit.
- 49:17Speaker 1: You had a homer in Game five, right, yeah, yeah,
- 49:19Speaker 1: see game yeah? Yeah, what do you mean it wasn't you?
- 49:22Speaker 1: It was It wasn't just me.
- 49:24Speaker 2: And then I want to talk a little bit about
- 49:25Speaker 2: uh when you told uh Boomgardener, go get it out
- 49:28Speaker 2: of the ocean? Man, did you think about that prior
- 49:32Speaker 2: or was that like just spur of the moment?
- 49:34Speaker 1: Like how did that? How did that? It just it
- 49:38Speaker 1: just came out.
- 49:38Speaker 3: It just came out. I mean, so did he What
- 49:41Speaker 3: did he say to you? So we don't have it,
- 49:45Speaker 3: but this is on the second batter of the game.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Here Kyk is leading off because Kek hit like eight
- 49:51Speaker 3: hundred off Bumgarner. You know, I don't know what his
- 49:54Speaker 3: actual numbers are, but uh, the first pitch of the game,
- 49:58Speaker 3: like six inches off the plate, calls a ball and
- 50:01Speaker 3: he his first pitch of the game. He immediately starts
- 50:04Speaker 3: yelling at the empire saying, I'm gonna need that today,
- 50:08Speaker 3: something something. But he's just you know, because he was
- 50:10Speaker 3: one of those old school guys like Lester and Lackey,
- 50:13Speaker 3: and you know, he kind of tried to bully the
- 50:14Speaker 3: umpire to get a bigger.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Zone and it worked a lot of times. The next
- 50:19Speaker 1: pitch was in the almost the exact same spot and
- 50:21Speaker 1: he calls it a strike.
- 50:22Speaker 3: So like it worked right. The other thing was this
- 50:26Speaker 3: was like a eleven thirty start or twelve o'clock start.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Wow, it was one of those.
- 50:30Speaker 3: It was one of those games where, you know, early
- 50:33Speaker 3: early in the morning. So then I'm the second batter.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Was it a two zero count, two to one count,
- 50:40Speaker 3: I don't remember, but he misses his spot. He's trying
- 50:43Speaker 3: to go fastball away, misses, it gets a little up
- 50:45Speaker 3: and end and I turn on it.
- 50:49Speaker 1: You know, we can be real. I blasted it. Yeah, yeah,
- 50:53Speaker 1: and look did I pimp it? Sure? But that's that's nothing.
- 50:58Speaker 1: That was about to say, you've seen me do some
- 50:59Speaker 1: other one like that. That's nothing at all. Yeah, and
- 51:03Speaker 1: he just starts yelling at me.
- 51:04Speaker 3: He told me, in uh, some not so nicer words,
- 51:09Speaker 3: you don't watch the ball, you run?
- 51:11Speaker 1: Who do you think you are? You run?
- 51:15Speaker 3: And again he was just grumpy, you know, just like
- 51:20Speaker 3: I said, it was an early, early start.
- 51:22Speaker 1: And he was.
- 51:23Speaker 3: He was grumpy right from the right from the get go,
- 51:26Speaker 3: yelling at the empire.
- 51:28Speaker 2: When when did you tell him to get out of
- 51:30Speaker 2: the ocean?
- 51:30Speaker 3: Was it? Well, so, as I'm going on the first
- 51:33Speaker 3: base line, he's telling me, you know, you don't watch
- 51:35Speaker 3: the ball, you run.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Who do you think you are? Uh?
- 51:38Speaker 3: And I show him off And then I hit first
- 51:41Speaker 3: base and he's coming towards me, still yelling at me.
- 51:45Speaker 3: So then you can see right here, I say, well,
- 51:47Speaker 3: come get some, then come get some.
- 51:49Speaker 1: You know, as I'm still running, I didn't stop. I kept.
- 51:52Speaker 1: You know, he's way bigger than me. He probably would
- 51:55Speaker 1: have pummeled me. And you know he works, he works
- 51:57Speaker 1: with horses and cows and stuff.
- 51:59Speaker 2: He would he would have been strength is different.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but so I just say, hey.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Come get some and then I keep going and as
- 52:07Speaker 3: I hit third base, it kind of just pops into
- 52:10Speaker 3: my head.
- 52:10Speaker 1: I was like, I just hit a ball into the water.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I needed tome go get it out of the water,
- 52:13Speaker 1: like you know, and so.
- 52:18Speaker 3: Yeah, like as I hit third base, it kind of
- 52:19Speaker 3: pops into my head. I think it's right here. Yeah,
- 52:24Speaker 3: you don't want me to watch it. How about you
- 52:25Speaker 3: go get the ball out of the ocean.
- 52:28Speaker 1: You know.
- 52:30Speaker 3: There may have been get your swim trunks on in
- 52:32Speaker 3: there somewhere as well.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I don't remember, but yeah, I just remember.
- 52:37Speaker 3: I just remember getting back to the dugout and Cursh
- 52:39Speaker 3: and Cursh is sitting there and he goes, would you
- 52:41Speaker 3: tell him? I said, go get the ball out of
- 52:43Speaker 3: the ocean, and Cursh just busted out dying last I think.
- 52:48Speaker 2: I never I mean, I never knew how the story
- 52:50Speaker 2: played out. Well that's cool though.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Yeah, And you know, so it just there's no hard feelings.
- 52:54Speaker 3: It's just early start. Everyone was grumpy, I think because
- 52:58Speaker 3: back then I think they still played the seven fifteen game.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Okay, so I think the night.
- 53:01Speaker 3: Before was a seven fifteen game, and so that was
- 53:03Speaker 3: a quick turnaround. Yeah, just everyone's tired.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Okay, so a little bit younger. I want to go
- 53:11Speaker 2: back to a little bit younger month. You were drafted
- 53:13Speaker 2: by the A's, went to Baylor, went through the miners
- 53:17Speaker 2: there and ended up getting cut by the A's, right, yep,
- 53:20Speaker 2: and that's why that's how you became a Dodger.
- 53:22Speaker 3: Yes, twenty seventeen was well, yeah, the winner of twenty
- 53:27Speaker 3: sixteen seventeen.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I got dfaed and then.
- 53:32Speaker 3: They signed RAJ Davis and so to make that move,
- 53:34Speaker 3: they dfade me and then no one picked me up
- 53:38Speaker 3: first time being dfaied, so that man I had to
- 53:40Speaker 3: stay in the organization. Showed up the spring. They had
- 53:44Speaker 3: pretty much told me I was there as insurance if
- 53:46Speaker 3: anyone got hurt.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Magically no one got hurt.
- 53:51Speaker 3: So last day, last day of spring training, they called
- 53:54Speaker 3: me in and just said there wasn't a spot for me.
- 53:57Speaker 1: They're gonna let me go.
- 53:59Speaker 2: And that's when the Dodgers called picked you up.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:02Speaker 3: I went home for a couple of weeks, was pretty
- 54:05Speaker 3: set on retiring, and then you know, pretty well documented
- 54:11Speaker 3: at this point, got got around with my dad, watched
- 54:14Speaker 3: a couple of games, realized I didn't want to retire.
- 54:17Speaker 3: I wanted to keep going, and uh, Farhan had reached
- 54:20Speaker 3: out to my agent asked if I was, you know,
- 54:23Speaker 3: interested in playing, and I told them yeah, So they
- 54:25Speaker 3: were gonna put me in double A.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Uh and then Belly got called.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Up right as I had signed, So then there was
- 54:34Speaker 3: a spot in Triple A, and so they sent me
- 54:36Speaker 3: to Okay See, and I was there for the majority
- 54:39Speaker 3: of that year.
- 54:40Speaker 2: At that time, you were you just playing third base
- 54:42Speaker 2: or were you still moving around?
- 54:43Speaker 1: I was mainly just playing first base. You're playing first base.
- 54:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I was shuffling a little bit in
- 54:47Speaker 3: the outfield, a little bit of second, really not much
- 54:50Speaker 3: at third.
- 54:52Speaker 1: There was mainly just first, second, a little bit outfield, and.
- 54:55Speaker 2: Then when you got your chance, that was at first base.
- 55:00Speaker 1: No, that was a third base. That was a base.
- 55:02Speaker 2: So you had just you had in the minors in
- 55:04Speaker 2: Triple A. I guess that's when you had started working.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Well, so what had happened was in twenty eighteen JT
- 55:13Speaker 3: broke his hand or his wrist something in this area
- 55:19Speaker 3: and he was on the shelf. I actually popped my
- 55:23Speaker 3: oblique in spring. I had I was having a really
- 55:25Speaker 3: good spring pop my oblique. Then like two weeks later,
- 55:28Speaker 3: JT breaks his hand or again risk I think it
- 55:31Speaker 3: was his risk. It breaks his wrist. Pretty much, I
- 55:35Speaker 3: would have broke with the team if I was healthy.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Wasn't healthy. It took like.
- 55:43Speaker 3: A week into the season for me to finally be healthy,
- 55:46Speaker 3: get called up and they say, you're gonna play third
- 55:50Speaker 3: until JT gets back, and then we'll put you at
- 55:52Speaker 3: first and.
- 55:52Speaker 1: We're gonna put belly in the outfield. M okay, okay.
- 55:56Speaker 2: And so that's how the third base started. And did
- 55:58Speaker 2: you like it or no?
- 55:59Speaker 1: Like? Was it? Is it?
- 56:00Speaker 3: I hated third base because I was mainly first base
- 56:02Speaker 3: and second base. So I'm on that side of the field.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Now We're going to put you on the other side
- 56:08Speaker 3: of the field. The ball is completely different, you know,
- 56:10Speaker 3: it plays completely different. I mean it took me until
- 56:13Speaker 3: about last year to like third base.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Oh really, yeah, I mean yeah, Like.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I played hard, I played at the bunch. I hated it.
- 56:19Speaker 3: It took me until about last year to actually like it.
- 56:22Speaker 3: And you know, go figure that's when things changed defensively
- 56:25Speaker 3: for me. It was when actually when I actually liked
- 56:27Speaker 3: playing it.
- 56:28Speaker 2: It was I think you know what, I think we
- 56:31Speaker 2: really we bonded a lot, especially last year, because we
- 56:36Speaker 2: were both kind of going through it the same way.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Like we both knew like, Okay, we're the weaker side.
- 56:44Speaker 1: We I mean, that was all we heard about.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all we heard about, right, and we have
- 56:49Speaker 2: a point to prove. Right, We're not going to be
- 56:52Speaker 2: me and you were not going to be the weak
- 56:53Speaker 2: links out there on the field. We're not going to
- 56:55Speaker 2: be the reason why we lose. We're gonna work, We're
- 56:58Speaker 2: gonna do everything we need to do. And I think
- 57:01Speaker 2: when we switched ourselves to that mindset, it made us
- 57:06Speaker 2: so much better, you know, because I was scared to
- 57:08Speaker 2: play short, Like I'm like, you know what I don't
- 57:11Speaker 2: you know, I don't love it, you know, it's it
- 57:16Speaker 2: is what it is. But then once I started to
- 57:18Speaker 2: learn to love it and started to learn to embrace
- 57:21Speaker 2: the the difficulties of it and all the other stuff,
- 57:24Speaker 2: I feel like that's when I got better. I would
- 57:26Speaker 2: probably say watching that's probably what happened with you as well.
- 57:31Speaker 3: Same probably the same thing. Yeah, you know, we put
- 57:35Speaker 3: in a lot of work last year. It's you know,
- 57:37Speaker 3: I think that that may or may not have played
- 57:40Speaker 3: into some of the injury issues that I had. You know,
- 57:42Speaker 3: we were just putting in so much work every single
- 57:44Speaker 3: day trying to improve on it. And it was fun.
- 57:49Speaker 3: It was fun doing all that work, but man, it
- 57:51Speaker 3: was a lot.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Yeah, which I think.
- 57:53Speaker 2: I'm glad we did it because now this year, I'm
- 57:55Speaker 2: not saying we take it easy by any means, because
- 57:56Speaker 2: we still.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Work, but we just don't have to. We understand it better.
- 57:59Speaker 3: So it's more and I'm not going to say cruise
- 58:01Speaker 3: control because that sounds bad, but it's more.
- 58:03Speaker 1: Cruise control like it is.
- 58:04Speaker 2: I mean the maintenance.
- 58:05Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's maintenance. There you go. We we understand
- 58:08Speaker 1: what we're doing.
- 58:08Speaker 3: We have our routines now and we don't have to
- 58:11Speaker 3: put in the three hour days of taking you know,
- 58:13Speaker 3: five hundred ground balls trying to figure it.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Out, which was fun. But I'm glad we don't do it.
- 58:18Speaker 2: And we did a lot of that all right.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Before I let you.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Go, I want to build one hundred and sixty two
- 58:24Speaker 2: and oh MLB team so well, on the on the screen,
- 58:28Speaker 2: it will it will spin, and we pick the best
- 58:33Speaker 2: player that kind of pops up and we put them
- 58:37Speaker 2: on the field. We'll do it nine times, all right,
- 58:40Speaker 2: Cincinnati Riads. Oh, I can see that Ellie did the Cruz.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Who's under Ellie Spencer Steers?
- 58:50Speaker 3: I mean, oh, are we picking pictures in this or
- 58:55Speaker 3: is it just just position players?
- 58:57Speaker 1: Just eight? Just players? I said, we go like hundred
- 59:00Speaker 1: Green or somebody.
- 59:00Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean I'm probably taking Ellie.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gotta be Ellie. Yeah, we're gonna take.
- 59:06Speaker 2: All twenty Oh it has the the generation on there
- 59:10Speaker 2: as well, or the years I guess. So Ellie's gonna
- 59:12Speaker 2: play short right.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Oh, so we got to pick from the twenty twenties.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Yeah, actually, yeah, Ellie. Yeah, we'll pick Ellie short stop
- 59:22Speaker 3: twenty twenties. Dang Kansas City Royals.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Oh man, okay, I can't even see that.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Boy my eyes it's hurting.
- 59:40Speaker 3: I mean, the thing is, I don't know, I don't
- 59:41Speaker 3: I don't know who else we would have take taken
- 59:42Speaker 3: from the Reds, But now I wish we hadn't because
- 59:45Speaker 3: we can have Bobby Wit. Yeah, I mean take Yeah,
- 59:48Speaker 3: you can put Bobby Wood at third base.
- 59:50Speaker 1: What about Salvie? You want to do? Let's do I
- 59:56Speaker 1: think let's go. We'll do Salviat Catcher twenty ten. Twenty Oh,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: it's got a ten. It's got to be a Matt Camp.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: It's got to be a mad Camp, right man.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: Bopper Rookie of the Year MVP that was in twenty tens. Yeah,
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: it's up till Oh yeah, I keep thinking. Dang, he
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: won MVP in nineteen.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Nineteen, Rookie of the Year in seventeen.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Bopper or Matt Camp is either one. We can
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: go Bopper though, I'm with it, man, I just mean
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Seegs is nasty.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Too, though. Yeah. I mean, look at that's over one
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: thousand ops, right, is that what that's saying? Far right there? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: let's go Bopper. Yeah, you gotta go that one. I
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: think that was a right he played right. Well. We
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: can put him anywhere though.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well yeah, I guess you can put any
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: of the outfielders anywhere, so they just yeah, just put
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: them in right, two thousands Seattle.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Mariners e tro Oh, man, how you don't do Yeah,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: it's gonna be tough to pick anyone, buddy. True. You
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: could pick a rod oh yeah, would be nasty.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: I mean you could pick Edgar Martinez. M Edgar Martinez
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: thousand o ps on that.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Yeah, look at that. That's disgusting. But a Rod gives us,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: gives us us position to hey, Rod gives us third base?
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: No uh m, but we could pick him as DH
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: is what it's saying, right, who's number? That would be
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: a weird DH. Yeah, I would go. I mean they're
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: almost identical. Yeah, we could pick Edgar? All right? Or
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: or do you what? What? What did you go to intro?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: What are you etro's numbers on that? Oh? Man? What
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: does that say? Seven seventy two, three seventy? Is that
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: three seventy two on basis of what I said? Oh,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: three seventy two, batting average three seventy Oh my gosh?
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: What what's the ops say on that? Yeah? Man, you
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: gotta pick. You got to pick a guy that's got
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: over a thousand ops. Yeah, I mean I go, yeah,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: let's go Edgar. Uh let's oh man, let's do DH.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: I feel like that's yeah, I say, DH, that's what
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: twenty twenty. We can respend if you want, but one respind. Okay,
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: either respend a team or the decorament. I said, let's
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: keep let's wait the respind at the end.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you can put Buck in centerfield there. Yeah, I
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: think definitely, yeahs do that.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: I would only let us use centerfield for him.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: I mean one, yeah, come on, yeah, I would say one.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: So yeah or Bryce that was the only other one.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Oh, we got it?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: So oh yeah that is is is Bryce On there?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: It won't let us pick him put in my first base.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: We already have somebody at first. No, we don't have
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: anyone at first base. But he didn't play first. Oh
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: he played outfield. Yeah that's right, that's right. Hold Rendon.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Rendon't got a thousand right there too?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think you gotta go where was Trey
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: quite short? So I mean I gotta be a thousand again.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: You can't pass up anyone's got a thousand. Ops third third.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: Texas Rangers twenty tens Ian Kinsler at second.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Prince Field or Michael Ya.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Joe and Cathay Jilli Galla stretching still, Oh no, you
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: gotta go back up.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: It's gotta be either you either go in.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: I mean it'd be tough to find a better second
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: baseman than Ian Kinsler, I think, especially Tens like, I
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: don't think there's many. Yeah, let's go yeah, just that
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: second bait like Ian Kinsler was like your classic power
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: guy at second base.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Corner or of twenty to our padre is twenty twenty man,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: we can respend the decade and you can maybe get
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Adrian Gonzalez at first base. What does that say? Do
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I say? Profar? Uh? Yeah, twenty twenties, so profar was
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: this is our last? Oh? Yeah, you gotta respend it.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: So let's respend the decade. Maybe we can get Adrian
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Gonzalez at first base. Joe Carter, Fred McGriff is a
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: kem Anetti count as a first base on this No,
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: they don't have him on here. You guys are missing
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: some players.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Huh hmmm.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I mean it's gotta be yeah, I mean you get
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: to go with McGriff then, yeah, hall of Famer.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, eight losses that ain't terrible.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I don't know where we could have done I mean,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Bobby Whit maybe, but yeah, I mean, but still haven't
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, does to say where we
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: could have done better? By any chance?
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: It says no, So you're saying somehow we picked a
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: bad picture in there, even though we couldn't pick pictures.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: All right, That's what I'm here. What it is, That's
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: what I'm hearing, all right.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: So the last thing, bro, I don't know if you
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: want to try it, but I gotta try it. I
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: go to every park and I try the ballpark food.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Today the A's brought us a chicken sandwich, so we'll
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: try the hot chicken sandwich. You want to try it,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: I'll I'll take you about it, all right. Yeah, So
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: we had the Pirates. They had a Puerto Rican inspired
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: hot dog. I gave it a eight point seven. It
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: was really good. We had cheese curds, which I wasn't.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: So fond of. Was that Milwaukee? Milwaukee? Yeah?
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: And then Anaheim? What do we have in Anaheim? Korean
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: corn dog, which I don't remember.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Really stuck in your mind. I don't remember what I
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: gave it. I don't remember I gave it.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: It was good, it was good good.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Was that the rice dog thing?
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: I don't remember what it was, just a it was a.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Corn dog Korean? I don't know. I remember.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: I think when when Comet was hitting, that was the
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: only time they advertised a Korean.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Style hot dog.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: That's probably what it was.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I'm assuming it was like the batter was made out
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: of Yeah, I think it was. It was it was fine.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Shout out to the a's Thank you guys for this,
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Thank you sir.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: All right there it is right there.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: Got the slough on, We saw some pickles, pickles, got
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: the little some type. We got the chicken on. Here
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: the chili which probably gonna make it a little spicy deal. Pickles, pickles,
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: slow River City sauce with the Martin's Potato bun. Martin's
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Potato bunch. Shout out to them. They them buns are
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: fire thick buns.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: All right, here we go. It's pretty up. It's a
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: classic spicy chicken hue. Not quite like a natural hot
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: but grew up. Yeah, it's good. I mean, nothing's burning
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: so no.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Which is great because I'm not a huge fan of spots.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: People glob that's pretty good.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: I'm a good m hm. And our scale ends at ten.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Our scale ends at ten, right ends of tim scale
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: ends at ten. I'm trying to get a little heat
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: to it now.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I can't wait it. No, come on, it's fine, spicy,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: but I mean again, it's not. It's not Nashville hot.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna go with I would definitely order this.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: This is this is a good sound. This is good.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: This is really good, I.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: Would I'm gonna go with mm hmmm, I'm gonna go
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: with an eight and a half eight point five.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: I thought you why they might go a little higher. Well,
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: the only reason you're not you don't like spicy that.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: Yes, the only reason why I say eight point five
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: is because I remember that hot that that that dog,
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: the hot dog I had last.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Time at the uh Pirates.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: I think it's a weekend one and it was fire
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: and I gave that a eight point seven.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: Soy okay, So you don't you don't think it's better
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: than that. I wouldn't say it's better than that, but
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: this is now you wish you would have given them
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: the hot dog a higher score.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I wish it would have gave it the hot dog
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: a higher score. Yeah, okay, I should have given the
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: hot dog a higher score because this is really better
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: than an eight point five. But the hot dog has
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: been my favorite, all right, So if you go back
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: and I would give that hot dog like a nine
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: point five, and I would give this a nine.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Okay, I mean that's what the is. Right of my
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Aley's chicken. This is I like, I like spicy It's
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: fried chicken like that makes it even better.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: We're southern, you know, this is it. This is right
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: at my aley. So I like this.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: This is good as you guys did really well with this.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: It's at least a nine. I'll give it a nine
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: point two.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Nine point two. This is right of my aley. So
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: it's just like this is everything that I like.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: Fried chicken, spicy sandwich. Yeah, can't go wrong with.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: It, all right, Well, shout out todays. Thank you guys
