  I am a lifelong Democrat. I am a mom of five boys, three

  of which I adopted out of our foster care system, and I'm a

  lesbian. I am also the public
• 0:19
  whistleblower from the Pediatric Gender Center in St.
• 0:23
  Louis, MO. I saw patients from the age of
• 0:26
  3/3 until the age of 26, and I worked with nearly 1500 unique
• 0:33
  patients. I worked in pediatric gender
• 0:36
  medicine for nearly five years and I was once a true believer.

  I once trained the judges, Adam, that worked in your case.
• 0:46
  I once trained those caseworkers that would come to your home and
• 0:52
  take your children away. What I learned is that these
• 0:58
  interventions are based on poor research with poor evidence and
• 1:02
  poor outcomes. In the center where I worked, I
• 1:06
  directly saw patients who were being harmed by these so-called
• 1:11
  medical interventions. I saw patients whose mental
• 1:14
  health got worse after being started on puberty blockers and
• 1:18
  cross sex hormones. I had a patient who had their
• 1:23
  breasts surgically removed and called us within three months
• 1:27
  begging for us to put her breasts back on.

  The last I heard is that she is now a detransitioner, pregnant,
• 1:37
  and was unable to ever consider breastfeeding her children.

  I sent minor patients into emergency surgery after the
• 1:46
  devastation of testosterone had degraded their vaginal tissue so
• 1:50
  much that they experienced vaginal lacerations requiring
• 1:54
  surgical repair after their first sexual experiences.

  I blew the whistle on these interventions in Missouri, filed
• 2:02
  an affidavit with our Attorney General, and within three months
• 2:06
  these interventions were stopped in my state.

  This all started in the Netherlands when a small group
• 2:17
  of clinicians came up with this terrible idea to transition
• 2:21
  kids. They were seeking the children
• 2:23
  that they would believe would go on to have this lifetime of
• 2:27
  trouble with their sex and intervene with them when they
• 2:29
  were young. Why did they do this?
• 2:32
  Because all of the transsexual adults that they were working it
• 2:36
  were not doing well when they completed the first study, 68
• 2:42
  out of 70 of those children were same sex attracted and one of
• 2:47
  those children died as a result of this initial intervention.

  This was a medical experiment that should never have been
• 2:55
  reproduced anywhere else in the world.

  They transitioned these kids not because they had any certainty
• 3:02
  that they would go on to have lifetime troubles, but because
• 3:05
  our society has a long discomfort with the way gays and
• 3:08
  lesbians live our bodies and our sex lives.

  We were expendable. We were OK to be experimented
• 3:15
  on. We were OK to have our endocrine
• 3:17
  systems destroyed with wrong sex hormones.

  We were OK to have our fertility taken away and we were OK to
• 3:24
  have our sexual function ripped away.

  When we caught wind of this idea here in America, we cast this
• 3:31
  huge net across this country in every state and we pulled in
• 3:35
  whatever kid we could catch. I travel here to California to
• 3:39
  tell you that your state is the worst in the nation.

  Yes, yes, what you do has consequences across our entire
• 3:51
  nation. We in Missouri have fought back
• 3:55
  against your extremism, but we need your leadership.

  We need you to stop. Stop this homophobic disaster,
• 4:11
  Stop weaponizing our Child Protective Services to destroy
• 4:16
  good families, and stop pretending like this is medical
• 4:22
  care. That's right.

  That's right, we need you to be the beacon to lead the way to
• 4:29
  bring healthcare back to our children and sanity back to our
• 4:34
