In August 2004, sixteen-year-old Cyntoia Brown shot 43-year-old Nashville real estate agent Johnny Allen in his own bed, took his money, guns, and truck, and was tried as an adult. In 2006 a jury convicted her of first-degree murder and she received a life sentence. But what does a life sentence in Tennessee actually mean?
