- 0:02Speaker 1: With Alexi Napola and Marisa Patton an iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Okay, my friend, Well, how are you feeling today? I'm
- 0:12Speaker 2: much better.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I did my hair, put a little bit of makeup
- 0:15Speaker 1: for you, and I'm feeling a lot better. Wow. I
- 0:17Speaker 1: didn't do any of that for you. Oh, I kind
- 0:20Speaker 1: of did it for myself. I'm not gonna lie. It
- 0:22Speaker 1: always makes me feel better. This is what makes me
- 0:24Speaker 1: feel better. Yeah. Yeah, if I look good, I feel good. Yeah,
- 0:28Speaker 1: and vice versa. If I feel good, then I feel
- 0:30Speaker 1: like I look good. But in this case, I wasn't
- 0:33Speaker 1: feeling good and I wasn't looking good, so I had
- 0:35Speaker 1: to do my hair.
- 0:36Speaker 2: In a little bit of makeup. All right, Well, I'm
- 0:38Speaker 2: representing all the ugliness today. Guy and my cold.
- 0:43Speaker 1: We have a lot of things to chat about, Yes,
- 0:45Speaker 1: we do. But I guess one of the first hat
- 0:49Speaker 1: gimbi question is people want to know how we keep
- 0:52Speaker 1: our friendship so strong considering that there's so much drama
- 0:57Speaker 1: in our friend group. I love how you're saying that
- 0:59Speaker 1: with like a giggle a wink when you look at me.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I think you and I have found the recipe of
- 1:05Speaker 1: survival in this page.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Right, should we not share it or should we share it?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Well, I mean, we can share it, it's very difficult
- 1:13Speaker 1: to emulate it because you have to be very honest
- 1:15Speaker 1: and very truthful and very open, which we are, and
- 1:19Speaker 1: we talk all the time and we're clear with each other.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I think that's I mean, even when we say things
- 1:24Speaker 1: to each other, you know that aren't things we really
- 1:28Speaker 1: want to hear.
- 1:28Speaker 2: But at least we're being honest and truthful, right.
- 1:30Speaker 1: And then that keeps the lines of communication open and
- 1:34Speaker 1: and I don't know, I feel like you can't disappoint
- 1:37Speaker 1: if we're always communicating and open and honest with each other,
- 1:41Speaker 1: that is true.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I think that we have really proven to each other
- 1:44Speaker 3: like a laty and we really don't let the rest
- 1:47Speaker 3: of the girls. I think that they know no matter
- 1:49Speaker 3: what they say or what they say.
- 1:52Speaker 2: You know, we're not going to let it affect us
- 1:53Speaker 2: and our friendship.
- 1:54Speaker 3: That our friendship is stronger then whatever you know, rumor
- 1:58Speaker 3: or anything that can insinuate about us.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We have the foundation, you know. I think we've proven
- 2:03Speaker 1: it to each other throughout the years, and I think
- 2:06Speaker 1: that now they get it right, like.
- 2:08Speaker 2: After one of the years, if.
- 2:10Speaker 1: They try to do it, you and I are like,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I both follward and then we laugh on the side, like,
- 2:15Speaker 1: what were they thinking They're gonna break us up?
- 2:18Speaker 2: I think we're gonna get mad at each other.
- 2:20Speaker 1: They're crazy.
- 2:21Speaker 2: That's never gonna happen.
- 2:23Speaker 3: No, And I think it's kind of like, if you
- 2:24Speaker 3: can't beat them, join them. And now it's you know,
- 2:27Speaker 3: I'm happy to that we're all, you know, kind of
- 2:29Speaker 3: enjoying each other. And yeah, and it's becoming a really
- 2:33Speaker 3: fun friend group. I love friends. Yeah, I mean, as
- 2:37Speaker 3: you like to have friends, Marisol.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I've always had a lot of girlfriends. They weren't always
- 2:41Speaker 1: good friends, but I've had a lot of them. I
- 2:44Speaker 1: can vouch for that, you know, I seen I've seen
- 2:47Speaker 1: a few of your disappointments throughout my friendship history with you.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I want to say that I have a better eye,
- 2:53Speaker 1: you know, have better judgment with girlfriends. I'm not gonna
- 2:57Speaker 1: talk about guy friends, but with girlfriends, I definitely have
- 3:00Speaker 1: a better judgment. Yeah, I would walk right into a
- 3:03Speaker 1: booby trap every time. I'm like, oh, there's so people
- 3:06Speaker 1: get me if they're fun. If they're fun, I'm like,
- 3:08Speaker 1: oh my god, they're so fun. And then I want
- 3:10Speaker 1: to do anything and everything for them and then you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: they suck it, they take it, you know, because I'm
- 3:17Speaker 1: very giving and that.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So that's all. That's all you need to be fun
- 3:20Speaker 2: to be a friend.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how you got to be my friend. You're
- 3:24Speaker 1: a little bit more than that. I guess that I
- 3:25Speaker 1: stayed because I'm a little bit more than just fun. Right, absolutely, Well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I'm moving right along.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yes, I guess we're going.
- 3:33Speaker 1: To be talking about the latest in the Shakira Pek drama. Sakira,
- 3:41Speaker 1: I know, well, you know, I guess so she she's
- 3:43Speaker 1: the she's the type of like a woman that that
- 3:48Speaker 1: she likes to speak.
- 3:49Speaker 2: You know, it's probably healing for her.
- 3:51Speaker 3: And I feel like, you know, after a year that
- 3:53Speaker 3: she's been going with some divorce drama, that she's you know,
- 3:57Speaker 3: finally talking about the fact that she was betrayed by
- 4:01Speaker 3: her expka while her dad was in the ICU, and
- 4:04Speaker 3: like everything just happened at once.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Oh my god. Yeah, it's always like that.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Okay, So Shakira quoted he me and her dad went
- 4:14Speaker 3: to Barcelona to console me after I was consumed with
- 4:17Speaker 3: sadness because of my separation. Well, he was at Milon's
- 4:20Speaker 3: first communion, he was gravely injured in an accident. Everything
- 4:24Speaker 3: happened at once. I was finding out through the press
- 4:26Speaker 3: that I had been betrayed while my dad was in
- 4:28Speaker 3: the ICU.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's so tough for super forwid Yeah, Shakira was facing
- 4:34Speaker 1: so much at one time.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Was there any time in your life that everything happened
- 4:38Speaker 3: to you at once?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Oh?
- 4:39Speaker 2: My god, you know that story?
- 4:41Speaker 1: I do. Yeah, yeah, this happened to me. And worse,
- 4:46Speaker 1: maybe there was no cheating, but I lost my parent,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and preceding that, my house was a horrible hurricane, all flooded.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I was trapped in there with water.
- 4:57Speaker 1: My cat died, My man I was living with moved out,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and a week later my dad died. So I know
- 5:02Speaker 1: what it feels like to have everything happen at the
- 5:05Speaker 1: same time, and you're like, where do I go from here?
- 5:07Speaker 1: I just want to die, you know, heartbroken. The person
- 5:10Speaker 1: you want to talk to that was your closest to
- 5:12Speaker 1: you'd like to talk about, you know, the pain you're
- 5:15Speaker 1: feeling of grieving a parent or having your parent to
- 5:18Speaker 1: talk to about your partner leaving. It was like there
- 5:21Speaker 1: was nobody. It was very difficult, and I can understand
- 5:24Speaker 1: her feeling like it was the hardest time in her life. Absolutely,
- 5:28Speaker 1: have you had an experience, well, I know you've had
- 5:30Speaker 1: a lot of experiences and a lot of the difficult things.
- 5:33Speaker 1: The first thing that comes to my mind was Frankie's accident,
- 5:37Speaker 1: where you think, why is this happening to me? It
- 5:40Speaker 1: wasn't even like why is this everything happening to me
- 5:43Speaker 1: at once, but like why is this happening to me?
- 5:46Speaker 1: So for me, that was the most difficult time because
- 5:50Speaker 1: it wasn't only recovering and you know, holding on to Frankie,
- 5:53Speaker 1: but it's like you feel your whole family is falling apart. Truthfully,
- 5:57Speaker 1: it's you know, after it's been eleven years, and I
- 6:00Speaker 1: just like, you know, remember that moment that I could
- 6:03Speaker 1: only focus on Frankie. But I knew that Peter needed
- 6:06Speaker 1: my help, that Herman needed me, Like my whole family
- 6:09Speaker 1: was trying to be strong for me because I was
- 6:11Speaker 1: filled with so much hope. But I knew that I
- 6:14Speaker 1: had to be strong for them, but I couldn't because
- 6:17Speaker 1: I could only be strong, you know, for Frankie Ranky.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So that was for sure the worst situation and the
- 6:24Speaker 1: most difficult that I've been in my life that like
- 6:27Speaker 1: I said that, it was like why is everything happened
- 6:29Speaker 1: to me?
- 6:30Speaker 3: Wasn't even the question. It was like why is this
- 6:32Speaker 3: happening to me and my family right now? The second
- 6:36Speaker 3: time in my life where I actually was in that
- 6:39Speaker 3: situation again that said why is everything happening to me?
- 6:41Speaker 3: At once was recently, like two years ago, when I
- 6:45Speaker 3: was planning my wedding with Todd and I got sick
- 6:50Speaker 3: with COVID and I had to I had to reschedule
- 6:55Speaker 3: the wedding, and my friends and family were the only
- 6:58Speaker 3: ones that knew at that point, and my mom didn't even.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Know that I had COVID.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Sorry, we scheduled my wedding for August twenty fifth, my
- 7:06Speaker 1: mom got COVID and my mom passed away that day.
- 7:10Speaker 3: So it was the same thing, that situation like why
- 7:14Speaker 3: is this happening to me? My happy time in my life,
- 7:17Speaker 3: and even like with Frankie's accident, the same thing. When
- 7:20Speaker 3: Frankie had his accident, we had just come back from
- 7:23Speaker 3: from Mikonos and from a beautiful European trip and Frankie
- 7:27Speaker 3: was about to start school.
- 7:29Speaker 1: It was the day before school started on a Sunday.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So it's kind of like we feel like, you know,
- 7:34Speaker 1: sometimes in my life that's what I've lived, Like I'm
- 7:36Speaker 1: very happy and like everything is going great and I'm
- 7:39Speaker 1: so happy, and then something like terrible happens and you know,
- 7:43Speaker 1: takes away that happiness. So sometimes I've really worked on myself,
- 7:47Speaker 1: like for me not to have that feeling because it's
- 7:49Speaker 1: a terrible way to live. But sometimes I feel like
- 7:53Speaker 1: when everything is going so great and you're so happy,
- 7:55Speaker 1: like something bad has to happen because that's been like
- 7:58Speaker 1: my experience. So it's like I'm.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Afraid to be super happy because I feel like it's
- 8:03Speaker 3: not gonna last for a long time. But I've worned
- 8:05Speaker 3: so much on myself because I honestly it's a terrible
- 8:07Speaker 3: way to live, right, Yeah, but just because it brings
- 8:10Speaker 3: me back to those horrible times in my life when
- 8:12Speaker 3: that's happened. It's like everything was great, I had a
- 8:15Speaker 3: beautiful summer, the whole family was together with our friends
- 8:17Speaker 3: and family, you know, and the rest of Europe. So
- 8:21Speaker 3: I come back and something horrific like that happens in
- 8:24Speaker 3: just like a second, my life changes, and so yes,
- 8:28Speaker 3: so that you know.
- 8:29Speaker 1: What I think since your mom is now taking care
- 8:33Speaker 1: of me from above, that's not going to happen anymore.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Well, my father's always been taking care of me, which
- 8:39Speaker 3: is also like another question here that says like, you know,
- 8:43Speaker 3: what do you use to help you through it? Like
- 8:45Speaker 3: how did you get through like this terrible time in
- 8:47Speaker 3: your life?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Right?
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah, And like I said, for me, it's always been
- 8:52Speaker 3: about faith and prayer and thank God, you know that
- 8:56Speaker 3: I have so much faith and I'm so spiritual and
- 8:59Speaker 3: I praise so much that that really helped me, you know,
- 9:02Speaker 3: get through, you know, the horrible time, these horrible times
- 9:06Speaker 3: in my life. And when Frankie had the accident, I
- 9:09Speaker 3: had my mom that was also that was alive. So
- 9:12Speaker 3: my mom helped me a lot to get through it
- 9:14Speaker 3: because you know, my mom was my mom met but
- 9:17Speaker 3: she was also a psychiatrist. She was very therapeutic. And
- 9:20Speaker 3: my mom helped me a lot. My friends and my
- 9:22Speaker 3: family were like, you know everything to me, you know,
- 9:26Speaker 3: my support system.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So I had a great support system.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And I also kept the journal by the way I'm
- 9:32Speaker 3: like moving now and and I found it and I
- 9:36Speaker 3: started reading through it and it was just like, yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 3: I'm still very emotional like even though I spend eleven years,
- 9:43Speaker 3: you read that and you're like, wow, like were you
- 9:45Speaker 3: that state of mind that I was at, you know
- 9:48Speaker 3: versus now? And still you could see that Like I
- 9:51Speaker 3: would write, Marathon, I would write like, you know, today
- 9:54Speaker 3: is a happy day, like Frankie laughed, you know, and
- 9:56Speaker 3: it was just that was my happiness, Just Frankie like
- 9:59Speaker 3: smiling at Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I obviously had to put it away because I couldn't.
- 10:03Speaker 1: But yeah, I.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Take your priorities, right, It's like a tough moment.
- 10:08Speaker 3: You're so desperate you take anything, but you know what
- 10:10Speaker 3: happens you forget.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I don't I live forever great focus. He's my remind
- 10:13Speaker 2: or every single day in my life.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah, sometimes when things are schooling is so great, right,
- 10:18Speaker 3: we forget about you know those times and then God
- 10:21Speaker 3: we do because it's so hard. But anyways, yeah, I
- 10:25Speaker 3: think faith and prayer, my families and my friends, you know,
- 10:28Speaker 3: keeping this journal where I would like everything helped me
- 10:31Speaker 3: so much. And yeah and now and the same you
- 10:36Speaker 3: know I had, like you know, I've always I prayed
- 10:38Speaker 3: to like my father, you know, like they say, like
- 10:40Speaker 3: it was my angel and my grandparents that are in heaven.
- 10:43Speaker 3: So I've always been like, we've always had that connection
- 10:45Speaker 3: that even though they're not here with us, I feel
- 10:47Speaker 3: like spiritually fail them.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and I feel them.
- 10:50Speaker 1: So I have that like I knew, like my dad
- 10:52Speaker 1: was going to save my son, like my dad and
- 10:54Speaker 1: the angels and you know, the saints and and God
- 10:57Speaker 1: and just everybody. Right. So it's it's just so it's
- 11:00Speaker 1: you know, it's you can't explain it unless you live
- 11:03Speaker 1: your life like that too.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I know you're very spiritual too.
- 11:06Speaker 1: You have that connection, like you know with your mom
- 11:08Speaker 1: and dad, and you know, it's hard to explain to
- 11:10Speaker 1: other people that don't have that, but for me, it's
- 11:13Speaker 1: the only way to live, and it's the only way
- 11:14Speaker 1: that I've been able to get through all the obstacles
- 11:17Speaker 1: and adversity in my life. It's the it's the only
- 11:20Speaker 1: way for me too. Undred I was reading about Shakira,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and Shakira says that what helped her was her music,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and you know, we can see that in all those
- 11:29Speaker 1: new songs and she's written I have a lot to
- 11:32Speaker 1: do about Pique and their relationship. You know, it's a
- 11:34Speaker 1: little bit of anger and pain and you know, all
- 11:37Speaker 1: of it put together.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus things.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but in Spanish, I think it's Spanish, and I see,
- 11:46Speaker 1: I feel like it's Spanish. Yeahanish, it's more powerful. Yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I think you know Spanish lyrics.
- 11:52Speaker 3: You know, if you speak Spanish, obviously you're more passionate
- 11:56Speaker 3: and the more like they make more of an impact,
- 11:59Speaker 3: right Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So yeah, you know, I think musical is a beautiful thing.
- 12:03Speaker 3: And I've always wanted to to sing, just like you
- 12:05Speaker 3: said we made twos. Always wanted to sing and perform
- 12:11Speaker 3: and do all that because I think it's like a.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Chance and I want to say I'm quite good. Oh yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 1: you have to you have to perform.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Yeah. But anyways, I saw, I see that Shakira.
- 12:27Speaker 3: It's helped her a lot, and it made me think
- 12:30Speaker 3: of Frankie and a Peter, both of my sons. I
- 12:32Speaker 3: love music, and they said, especially Frankie that would sing
- 12:35Speaker 3: and he would freestyle and do all that kind of stuff.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And I see how music is still so therapeutic for him.
- 12:42Speaker 1: And people tell me like he can't express himself so
- 12:44Speaker 1: so good with words, but he knows every single song,
- 12:48Speaker 1: all the words, you know, because I see other part
- 12:50Speaker 1: of the brain, the other side of the brain, so
- 12:52Speaker 1: he he knows how to get us through when we're
- 12:55Speaker 1: lost in a car. Even the other time, he has
- 12:59Speaker 1: like a map app in his brain. Yeah, we could
- 13:02Speaker 1: be anywhere and we're thinking we're getting to go to
- 13:05Speaker 1: the round. He's like, no, mom, left and right straight, Like,
- 13:08Speaker 1: I don't even know how he knows any of that, right,
- 13:10Speaker 1: you know, it's such a mystery.
- 13:13Speaker 2: The brain is such a mystery.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Right, he lost so many has so many deficits and
- 13:16Speaker 3: other areas, yet you know, so many strengths and other areas,
- 13:20Speaker 3: and music is one of them. So you know he
- 13:22Speaker 3: can still know all the words to all the songs.
- 13:25Speaker 3: He loves music, and you know it keeps them going.
- 13:27Speaker 3: And I know the music has been you know, so
- 13:30Speaker 3: instrumental also in Peter's life, and you know where he's
- 13:33Speaker 3: ringed music and he loves the music, and you know,
- 13:36Speaker 3: and and again I don't have that talent, but I
- 13:39Speaker 3: can see how it's really helped and saved Shakiro's life
- 13:42Speaker 3: and going through all the pain that she has, and
- 13:44Speaker 3: she's been able to write about it and sing about.
- 13:46Speaker 1: It express it.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah, And like I said, I mean she said that
- 13:50Speaker 3: her new music was she was going to discuss the
- 13:52Speaker 3: different stages that she's gone through spiritually, mentally, and even physically,
- 13:57Speaker 3: because you know, when you go through a situation like
- 14:00Speaker 3: and you know that's kind of breakup, you do experience
- 14:03Speaker 3: all these different stages that you go through, right, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 3: first you go through denial and then rage and then pain,
- 14:09Speaker 3: and then you accept it and then you grieve about it,
- 14:11Speaker 3: and then you're hopeful, and then deception, you know, and
- 14:15Speaker 3: then again excitement.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Elizabeth Koubler ros she's the one that stated the seven
- 14:20Speaker 1: steps of grieving.
- 14:21Speaker 2: That's everything you just said.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Right, So she's gone through it all. I guess we're
- 14:26Speaker 1: going to listen to it in her music.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Did she drop a lot away? She's always had a
- 14:30Speaker 2: great body.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't think she dropped a lot away, because I
- 14:32Speaker 1: know every time I'm suffering, I can't eat and I
- 14:34Speaker 1: get bone thin like a boom.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Then I can't sleep, I can't eat.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Well, that's like the revenge body too, but in your case,
- 14:42Speaker 1: you can't do that because you're already skinny, so like
- 14:44Speaker 1: you don't want to get the revenge body. Iver no no, no,
- 14:55Speaker 1: cadaver vibes. I'm always kind of hungry, so none of
- 14:58Speaker 1: those things I've ever accepted.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's never exactly affected my way.
- 15:04Speaker 1: But yeah, so anyways, you know all those things, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 1: we have so many emotions and feelings that at times
- 15:11Speaker 1: seem mixed.
- 15:12Speaker 3: She this is what she's saying. So she had all
- 15:14Speaker 3: these different emotions and feelings that at times were mixed,
- 15:17Speaker 3: then she didn't seem to be able to go exist
- 15:19Speaker 3: inside of her. But then she's been able to untangle
- 15:23Speaker 3: them only through her songs, and through her songs she
- 15:26Speaker 3: understands herself better, which is like what I was saying,
- 15:29Speaker 3: like writing, like you know, I would keep I was
- 15:31Speaker 3: keeping a journal and it's good to go back and
- 15:33Speaker 3: reflect and to read that. And that's what I was
- 15:36Speaker 3: kind of trying to do today. But for me, it
- 15:38Speaker 3: brings me a lot of sadness. So I decided to
- 15:42Speaker 3: not do it, and you know, I just read a
- 15:45Speaker 3: little bit and then I continued because I had a
- 15:47Speaker 3: lot of things to pick up, and you know, I
- 15:49Speaker 3: didn't feel like crying because.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I've always heard like sometimes if you're fighting with someone
- 15:55Speaker 1: a partner or a boyfriend or you know, a good friend,
- 15:59Speaker 1: write a letter to them and never mail it because
- 16:01Speaker 1: it can be very cathartic, and then your thoughts and
- 16:04Speaker 1: the things that you thought you would have said in
- 16:06Speaker 1: a moment of rage you come down from once you
- 16:08Speaker 1: write it down and you look at it, you regurgitate
- 16:11Speaker 1: it and you're like, wow, Okay, you put it away.
- 16:13Speaker 1: You look at it a few days later, and you
- 16:15Speaker 1: think differently. It keeps you from making rash decisions and
- 16:19Speaker 1: it's very cathartic.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Well, in her case, she's really seen the song that
- 16:23Speaker 3: anybody's look at her song before she wrote it, the
- 16:25Speaker 3: last one.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I'm the One, and re wrote it a million times, right.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I think for music it's different. I think they could
- 16:32Speaker 3: get away with it. And how do you feel, Like,
- 16:35Speaker 3: do you think it's good like to speak out about
- 16:37Speaker 3: your breakup? You know, like like how she has. I
- 16:39Speaker 3: mean I think everybody's different, right, Like some artists and
- 16:43Speaker 3: celebrities you know, keep it quiet and they really don't
- 16:46Speaker 3: want to discuss their personal life. But I was kind
- 16:49Speaker 3: of surprised because you know, she led a really private life,
- 16:51Speaker 3: like with her on PK, I want to say, and
- 16:54Speaker 3: then all of a sudden, you know, nobody really talked
- 16:57Speaker 3: about them and it's all like she did, you know,
- 16:59Speaker 3: interviews like about the relationship. And I've been really surprised
- 17:03Speaker 3: about her now speaking out and you know, talking so
- 17:06Speaker 3: much about her relationship, Like would you help, would have
- 17:08Speaker 3: kept it private something like this?
- 17:10Speaker 1: I mean, I like to be private about my things.
- 17:14Speaker 1: But I think, like, as you know, and I know,
- 17:16Speaker 1: doing a reality show, sometimes it's better and tell your
- 17:19Speaker 1: story and then to let someone else tell it for you.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but she's not on a reality show. Maybeia,
- 17:23Speaker 2: I know, but.
- 17:24Speaker 1: She's in the public eye, and if he was with
- 17:26Speaker 1: a few women, maybe someone starts talking and the embarrass
- 17:29Speaker 1: everyone's shame the family. It's better to just stand up
- 17:31Speaker 1: and tell your story before anybody else does and tells
- 17:34Speaker 1: it wrong, you know, just kids. I mean it guessings afterwards,
- 17:41Speaker 1: you know.
- 17:41Speaker 2: No, I think it was just really like like who
- 17:43Speaker 2: she is, you know.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I guess that made her feel good, Like you said,
- 17:46Speaker 3: you like to say her part of the story. You know,
- 17:48Speaker 3: sometimes that's therapeutic as well, like once you talk about it,
- 17:51Speaker 3: you feel better about it. And you're right, she couldn't
- 17:53Speaker 3: hide it because he you know, he was his out
- 17:55Speaker 3: and about doing it publicly. Yes, So no, I you know,
- 18:00Speaker 3: I wanted to say, I've always been you know, a
- 18:02Speaker 3: fan of Shakira, and now more than ever, you know,
- 18:05Speaker 3: because I've seen her not only as an artist and
- 18:07Speaker 3: her music and her songs, but as a woman and
- 18:09Speaker 3: as a mother. So I just wanted to say that
- 18:12Speaker 3: the resilience of the human being is inexhaustible, and more
- 18:16Speaker 3: so that of a woman, you know. So although we
- 18:20Speaker 3: understand how long complicated of a journey it must have
- 18:24Speaker 3: been for her to get to where she is, you know,
- 18:26Speaker 3: we're so happy that she's found herself in this process.
- 18:30Speaker 2: She says that she used music.
- 18:32Speaker 1: To help her through it, and I applaud her because
- 18:35Speaker 1: music is everything, you know.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Music changes people's lives.
- 18:39Speaker 3: It's therapeutic, and it helps everyone, you know, get through
- 18:42Speaker 3: really difficult times in her life.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and she's putting good energy out there. So she's
- 18:46Speaker 1: putting good energy out there and everyone else is enjoying.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And she's making a lot of money. And she's making
- 18:51Speaker 1: money which creates good energy and good vibes and everybody wins.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yes, So.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I love her too. She's so good. I thought she
- 19:02Speaker 1: nailed the super Bowl. It was so good. And I
- 19:04Speaker 1: love that she's dating you guys, and you know, and
- 19:06Speaker 1: spending time with her kids in Miami. Who's she dating
- 19:09Speaker 1: the race car driver Lewis Hamilton, Yeah, gringo. He's British,
- 19:16Speaker 1: he's a crowd. Yeah, he's super chutter. Lewis looks Britishly well.
- 19:32Speaker 1: In other music news, what are you thinking about this
- 19:36Speaker 1: new outburst of behavior of people throwing things on stage
- 19:40Speaker 1: at celebrities while they're performing, I e.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Baby Rexa and Pink and many others.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I mean, it's now it's getting more attention, but this
- 19:49Speaker 3: is something that has always existed and I feel like
- 19:51Speaker 3: it's existed from the artists also throwing things at the.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Audience and at the crowd.
- 19:56Speaker 1: But I mean not in a dangerous way or not
- 19:58Speaker 1: trying to be mean or of nothing, but I feel
- 20:01Speaker 1: like back in the day and you artists will like
- 20:02Speaker 1: throw things to like the crowd, like they say, like
- 20:04Speaker 1: their sunglasses, like I know Beyonce through liquor sunglasses. Obviously
- 20:08Speaker 1: sunglasses aren't going to hurt anyone, but what could happen
- 20:11Speaker 1: is that everybody's going to go for the sunglasses and
- 20:13Speaker 1: they're all going to get hurt together.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So I mean, just throwing anything period, whether it's.
- 20:17Speaker 3: The crowd to the artists or the artists, to the
- 20:20Speaker 3: to the to the crowd should be No.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It's gotten really dangerous because back in the day, women
- 20:26Speaker 1: would throw their underwear at Tom Jones and that was
- 20:28Speaker 1: just like soft, silky underwear, so there's no heart. That
- 20:32Speaker 1: was fun and you had a brazier and it was
- 20:34Speaker 1: just like, oh, you know, you're sexy and I'm sharing
- 20:37Speaker 1: my lingerie with you. That was a little more fun.
- 20:40Speaker 1: But now it's getting dangerous. For God's sakes, did you
- 20:42Speaker 1: see that somebody throw their mother's ashes at Pink on stage?
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you not scary? The care?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Like, why would you do that?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Like, I just don't get first of all, I mean
- 20:54Speaker 1: I think it has to do again with mental health,
- 20:56Speaker 1: because I mean you cannot, you know, you know, show
- 21:01Speaker 1: with your mom's ashes and you know, unless like the past,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I think, right, But even so, like I just don't
- 21:10Speaker 1: get it.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I think just taking your mom's ashes, our mom would
- 21:12Speaker 3: have taken it all in. But like throwing them at
- 21:14Speaker 3: the artists, you know, it's dangerous and you know they're
- 21:17Speaker 3: lucky that you know, nothing happened, you know for that
- 21:20Speaker 3: matter in that instance.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But I mean it's something.
- 21:23Speaker 3: That now you know, we we have to be aware
- 21:26Speaker 3: of and actually be scared.
- 21:28Speaker 2: You know, if you're an artist, they.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Need to like check people's phones and any extra accouture
- 21:34Speaker 1: moments they're bringing into a concert.
- 21:35Speaker 2: How are they going to do it care thousands of people.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Well, they have to figure it out or leave your phone,
- 21:40Speaker 1: you know, like they're doing the airport. You just can't
- 21:42Speaker 1: bring anything in except your wallet and your cash, and
- 21:44Speaker 1: you're in and you're out.
- 21:45Speaker 3: It's probably going to end up like that because the
- 21:48Speaker 3: artists aren't going to want to perform. I mean, they're
- 21:50Speaker 3: going to be scared or they're going to have to
- 21:51Speaker 3: do like some type of barricade where they can't even reads. Yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 3: you know, the artists, because they're not going to put
- 21:57Speaker 3: their lives, you know, on the line for that. And
- 21:58Speaker 3: lately there's been so many instances like this and even
- 22:01Speaker 3: at different concerts, you know, people getting hurt.
- 22:04Speaker 1: So, I mean, so it takes away the joy. It
- 22:06Speaker 1: takes away the joy of like even going to a concert. No,
- 22:09Speaker 1: but I think also I think this whole concert thing
- 22:12Speaker 1: has really changed now obviously because of the phone as well,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and like social media and like TikTok by the way, No, no,
- 22:23Speaker 1: it's a super me too.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I think it's like not for me at all.
- 22:30Speaker 3: I find it super juvenile and stupid, and I'm sorry.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's good to be have a brand, but for just
- 22:37Speaker 2: to just go on there and talk.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I don't even know it's a brand. It's all fraud.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I think everything is a fraud regardless. Talking about TikTok
- 22:45Speaker 1: on our next our next podcast, next segment trashing TikTok.
- 22:51Speaker 3: But no, I find no joy in it, truthfully, And
- 22:55Speaker 3: I think that a lot of these kids are doing
- 22:56Speaker 3: that just to get like that media attention, because you know,
- 23:00Speaker 3: the youth.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Is is obsessed with.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Yeah, with media, with attention.
- 23:07Speaker 3: So I think it's like a try anything that becomes
- 23:09Speaker 3: viral or trend whatever on TikTok.
- 23:11Speaker 2: You know, these kids want to do and repeat.
- 23:14Speaker 3: And you see, that's where I have a problem with
- 23:15Speaker 3: social media because if it was something good that they
- 23:18Speaker 3: want to repeat, you know, and and emulate, fine, but
- 23:21Speaker 3: like something like that. So apparently there was like a
- 23:23Speaker 3: viral it's going in TikTok, viral of you know, kids
- 23:27Speaker 3: going to concerts and then throwing the phone at the
- 23:30Speaker 3: stage or the artists and then the artist picks up
- 23:33Speaker 3: the phone and records, you know, and just like a
- 23:35Speaker 3: selfie on their phone and records something. So of course
- 23:39Speaker 3: the child, the youth, the kid, you know, gets immediate
- 23:42Speaker 3: fame all of a sudden just because the artists did
- 23:44Speaker 3: that and they have that on the phone.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Follow interesting said, oh, it's funny.
- 23:50Speaker 3: If I throw it, maybe she'll catch it and do
- 23:52Speaker 3: me a little thing and throw it back. These are
- 23:55Speaker 3: kids and they're just watching these things all day long
- 23:57Speaker 3: and there doing my.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Phone is going to crack and it's another thousand dollars.
- 24:01Speaker 1: These kids must be rich. See you dating a pappyomami
- 24:05Speaker 1: or they're not even thinking the consequences, right, because how
- 24:09Speaker 1: does he even though it's gonna land and you know
- 24:11Speaker 1: it's not gonna hurt somebody. It's just like really really
- 24:13Speaker 1: poor judgment.
- 24:14Speaker 3: And again, I just think it's because they're they're watching
- 24:17Speaker 3: these things on social media and they think it's funny
- 24:21Speaker 3: and it's not.
- 24:22Speaker 2: It is not.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like you say, I mean, it used to
- 24:24Speaker 1: be back in the day that the girls want to,
- 24:26Speaker 1: you know, to throw the bra or a panty or
- 24:29Speaker 1: they would throw like.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I don't know, you want to give them kisses. You
- 24:33Speaker 3: wanted to go up there to like, you know, give
- 24:35Speaker 3: them a hug or a kiss, for them to sing
- 24:37Speaker 3: you a song. But like this to me is aggression,
- 24:41Speaker 3: you know, and I feel like we're just living in
- 24:42Speaker 3: a way danger already.
- 24:44Speaker 2: That's too aggressive.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I think people are too aggressive and there's no need
- 24:49Speaker 3: to throw anybody anything.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I agree with you, my friend. There's this is a
- 24:56Speaker 1: pretty cut and dry topic here.
- 24:58Speaker 3: I mean, if they go to me, nobody's going to
- 25:00Speaker 3: do that, you know, I think it might do it
- 25:03Speaker 3: might be like the artist too, I mean, for example,
- 25:06Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know, have we seen maybe we
- 25:07Speaker 3: should do a little bit of researchency. Do these things
- 25:10Speaker 3: occur with Hispanic artists?
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm sure, I don't know. I'm gonna. I'm gonna I'm
- 25:17Speaker 1: gonna look that up after we hang up, because I
- 25:19Speaker 1: want to see. You could always say, miel oh they
- 25:23Speaker 1: Mark Antonio Solis or Mark Anthony, They've ever thrown anything
- 25:27Speaker 1: at them.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I have no idea. That's our homework, that's my homework.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm going to do that for myself.
- 25:32Speaker 3: We need to think that we need to fix that
- 25:34Speaker 3: because that doesn't make me very happy, you know, thank God,
- 25:37Speaker 3: my you know, my kids, you know, don't go to concerts.
- 25:39Speaker 3: But if I had, you know, young kids, you know,
- 25:43Speaker 3: the would be going to concerts. I would be scared
- 25:45Speaker 3: because I feel like I've been listening and reading about
- 25:48Speaker 3: this all the time.
- 25:49Speaker 2: People shouldn't be out in with phones.
- 25:51Speaker 1: By the way. I look at the one of the
- 25:53Speaker 1: last concerts I think it was Beyonces one of her
- 25:58Speaker 1: first concerts. Someone recorded the whole thing on their phone
- 26:00Speaker 1: and put it out on the internet, and everyone's like, well,
- 26:02Speaker 1: I don't need to go now, I just saw the
- 26:04Speaker 1: whole concert. Oh well, that's so stupid. I can't with
- 26:07Speaker 1: that with the people to go to a concert instead
- 26:10Speaker 1: of enjoying and taking in the moment and listening and
- 26:13Speaker 1: singing along and looking at the artists so the entire
- 26:15Speaker 1: time with their phone recording, I'm like, dude, for that,
- 26:18Speaker 1: why did you come? This is about the experience. Like,
- 26:20Speaker 1: if you just want to see the video, you can
- 26:22Speaker 1: get that from anybody. That's another stupidity. But you know what,
- 26:24Speaker 1: there's a lot of stupid people. What can I tell
- 26:26Speaker 1: you that now people are just going to go crazy
- 26:28Speaker 1: your concert and do one thing, next level worst, worse
- 26:32Speaker 1: than the last person, until somebody dies because it's dangerous.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Well, that's another thing. Is this only going on in
- 26:39Speaker 2: this country?
- 26:39Speaker 3: Do these artists have these same situations when they perform
- 26:43Speaker 3: in other countries.
- 26:45Speaker 2: That's a good question. It's a good question. Let us know, listeners.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Yes, well, I think I'm also going to do my
- 26:52Speaker 3: homework and look at that because I feel like it's
- 26:54Speaker 3: something that's going on in the US. You know, I
- 26:56Speaker 3: feel like in other countries, these things aren't. These things aren't.
- 26:59Speaker 1: How so you know what, we're just going to have
- 27:02Speaker 1: to perform in a different Countryya, I'm gonna our next
- 27:20Speaker 1: topic is one of our favorites. Yes, the one that
- 27:23Speaker 1: we do all the time. And that's why our podcast
- 27:26Speaker 1: is because this is what we do here in Miami.
- 27:30Speaker 1: It's called Miami English.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's unique.
- 27:34Speaker 1: It's only in days. It's a dialect emerging in South Florida.
- 27:37Speaker 1: You and I brought that to the to the limelight.
- 27:40Speaker 1: People all over the world listen to us speak Miami
- 27:43Speaker 1: English or saying you know, I.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Love I love that.
- 27:45Speaker 3: We're finally getting some attention and they're considering it a dialect.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So I think it's so funny.
- 27:51Speaker 1: So I moved to Spain when I was seventeen years old,
- 27:53Speaker 1: my last year of high school, and and I thought
- 27:57Speaker 1: I spoke Spanish and my parents in school, right, and
- 28:01Speaker 1: my parents thought we spoke Spanish as well. So my
- 28:04Speaker 1: parents are like, okay, you're going to go to a
- 28:05Speaker 1: private Catholic Spanish school. So as I'm there and I
- 28:12Speaker 1: start school and I start speaking in Spanish, thought they
- 28:15Speaker 1: would ask me gay the alecto, like what dialect are
- 28:18Speaker 1: you speaking act? And I'm like, yall, look, they they
- 28:24Speaker 1: thought back then I spoke a dialect and guess what
- 28:26Speaker 1: they were right, and it's a Miami dialect. And I
- 28:29Speaker 1: was like, okay, now I get it because there is
- 28:31Speaker 1: a difference between like the proper Spanish, the Castilian Spanish,
- 28:35Speaker 1: and like our Spanish, you know, mixed with English.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I like ours better.
- 28:40Speaker 1: By the way, it's so so much funer, it's so
- 28:42Speaker 1: much easier and yer. Yeah, I must say no, even
- 28:45Speaker 1: though the Castilian Spanish is sexy.
- 28:48Speaker 3: They're finally recognizing our dialect, our language here in Miami.
- 28:53Speaker 1: It's an actual study at Florida International University. They've been
- 28:56Speaker 1: doing it for a decade and I'm like, it's only
- 28:59Speaker 1: been ten years been studying. We've been doing this for
- 29:01Speaker 1: fifty sixty years now, translating English to Spanish, modeling our words,
- 29:06Speaker 1: saying everything grammatically incorrect, but it's super funny. You know.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Cubans are so funny. They love they're they're the funnest people.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Did you know?
- 29:14Speaker 1: This new dialect is called only Indeed, And according to FIU,
- 29:18Speaker 1: the dialect incorporates what linguist is called kylkes, which are
- 29:23Speaker 1: borrower translations from the speaker's native language, and in this
- 29:26Speaker 1: case it's Spanish. Most of the time, it is a
- 29:29Speaker 1: literal translation, which is what we do, like phrases like
- 29:33Speaker 1: get down from the car right, like baja caro, so
- 29:37Speaker 1: get down from the car right, or like I'm super hungry,
- 29:42Speaker 1: or I'll have the meat and banada, you know, because
- 29:45Speaker 1: we were saying like banala goden instead of beef and banada.
- 29:48Speaker 1: What do you say? Do you say beef and banada
- 29:50Speaker 1: or meat and banada? I say beef, beef and banada.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Of course, because you're tore macrina, I say meat and panada.
- 29:59Speaker 2: You know that, Okay.
- 30:00Speaker 3: So these were commonly used among the second generation Cuban Americans,
- 30:05Speaker 3: so that would be us obviously, So like that's what
- 30:08Speaker 3: that's what I say.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, or like they say, turn on the candle,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and it's just grammatically incorrect. But I mean, I don't
- 30:20Speaker 1: speak like that. I prefer Spanglish for me. Spanglish is
- 30:23Speaker 1: so much more fun, don't you think?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:25Speaker 3: Because it is different, right, So, because the study out
- 30:27Speaker 3: of the FIU explains that the way people in South
- 30:30Speaker 3: Floria speak can be considered a new dialect and it's
- 30:32Speaker 3: not Spanglish because everybody who is going to think of
- 30:35Speaker 3: a Spanglish right right, and in this case it's a translation.
- 30:41Speaker 3: And I feel that other cultures do it too. I mean,
- 30:43Speaker 3: I know we're getting all the attention, the Cubans because
- 30:45Speaker 3: you know we're we do. We deserve it in Miami, right,
- 30:48Speaker 3: it's like our own little country.
- 30:49Speaker 1: It's like our own little city, our own language and
- 30:52Speaker 1: our little language, and we look and we talk a
- 30:55Speaker 1: certain way, but in reality it's it's not Spanglish, like
- 30:59Speaker 1: we said. But you know, we could do both. We
- 31:01Speaker 1: can do both. I don't really do not only in
- 31:04Speaker 1: day chap, but I do love the Spanish. I love
- 31:06Speaker 1: trans like mixing a word from Spanish to English, and
- 31:10Speaker 1: bastardizing is just like my favorite thing in the world.
- 31:12Speaker 1: It's just so funny. It's funny. And give me an example, like.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Embarkation or trigation or tragation.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Tragation, Yeah, so a drink tragash when you're being in
- 31:27Speaker 1: when you're embarking on something, or somebody leaves you waiting
- 31:30Speaker 1: or hanging, you say embarkation. It's funny. It's just it's
- 31:34Speaker 1: there's so many. I couldn't even begin to remember them all.
- 31:37Speaker 1: What's one of your favorites.
- 31:38Speaker 2: We do it all the time. Let me see. I
- 31:42Speaker 2: mean I do a lot of like the Spanish to English.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Like if I think of the word in Spanish better
- 31:47Speaker 1: than in English, I say it in Spanish, so I'll
- 31:50Speaker 1: throw it in there. It's lazy, We're lazy. Whatever comes
- 31:53Speaker 1: to our mind first, we just repeat it.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I don't I don't even think that it's lazy. I
- 31:59Speaker 3: just think like it either sounds better or you learned it.
- 32:01Speaker 1: It must be like I learned it in Spanish, so
- 32:03Speaker 1: like I was saying in Spanish better. But yeah, I
- 32:07Speaker 1: just think it's really cool. And you have to like
- 32:10Speaker 1: kind of like.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Live here to know, because like I said, I've been
- 32:14Speaker 3: even in different parts of the country, or I've done this,
- 32:16Speaker 3: I've gone back and forth, like with my mom and
- 32:18Speaker 3: my sisters. I think I've said this before, and like
- 32:21Speaker 3: the people will stop us and say, Senora, like get
- 32:24Speaker 3: kang a Lando, like what language are you speaking?
- 32:26Speaker 2: Because are Americans?
- 32:29Speaker 1: No?
- 32:29Speaker 2: Hekay?
- 32:30Speaker 1: You?
- 32:30Speaker 3: I mean I've been in Spain and we've been lucky
- 32:32Speaker 3: between the English and Spanish. I've been in other parts
- 32:35Speaker 3: of the country, and or the people I've been trying
- 32:38Speaker 3: to see, they'll be like, Okay, I speak English and
- 32:40Speaker 3: I speak Spanish, but what the hell are you speaking?
- 32:42Speaker 2: Because like I know those two languages, what do you guys.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Speak saying any of them? Right?
- 32:48Speaker 3: So like it's you know, it's like you have to
- 32:50Speaker 3: have the ear for it, and I feel like being
- 32:52Speaker 3: here from Miami, we kind of like get it and
- 32:54Speaker 3: we have the ear for that and we have that
- 32:56Speaker 3: ability where we can go from English and Spanish or
- 32:59Speaker 3: even do that lee and day thing.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I just remembered one chan chanks.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Okay, that's cute. That's a good one too. There's so many,
- 33:09Speaker 3: we have so many. We're always teaching these girls.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, we're always teaching the girls in our friend group
- 33:16Speaker 1: these words. But chances are if you're Cuban American or
- 33:19Speaker 1: you have any Cuban in your family, you've helped create
- 33:23Speaker 1: that dialect. Yes, yes, I like to personally take credit
- 33:28Speaker 1: for dragation. I just want to say we were.
- 33:32Speaker 2: The visky a London.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Dragation.
- 33:38Speaker 2: No, no, no, it's so.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Funny though, I don't think there's a funnier Hispanic group
- 33:49Speaker 1: of people. In Cubans, they're just so funny. They love
- 33:53Speaker 1: they love to talk, they love to have fun. They're
- 33:55Speaker 1: so expressive, so passionate. That's the other things to right,
- 33:59Speaker 1: get like the way we talk is that we're not
- 34:01Speaker 1: even fighting, and they're like I remember my grandma always saying,
- 34:04Speaker 1: but we're like, Ailita, like that's not how like fighting,
- 34:09Speaker 1: We're just excited, right, We're just talking Because my grandmother
- 34:13Speaker 1: was like, you know, really like self spoken and coret down.
- 34:17Speaker 1: But how do you feel people outside Miami are going
- 34:19Speaker 1: to react to this dialect? You know? I feel like
- 34:25Speaker 1: when we're talking and people around us don't know what
- 34:27Speaker 1: we're talking about, they look seem so confused, and it's
- 34:31Speaker 1: just so hard to explain because we speak so quickly, right,
- 34:34Speaker 1: don't Cubans speak very quickly? And then you're like in
- 34:37Speaker 1: this accelerated ad D speaking moment that you're in to
- 34:41Speaker 1: stop and explain everything. Then we end up being real
- 34:43Speaker 1: because you're like, oh my god, forget it. You're never
- 34:45Speaker 1: going to get it. To go back and stop what
- 34:46Speaker 1: you're saying and explain it. It's just impossible. So I
- 34:49Speaker 1: feel like people are going to think we're obnoxious and
- 34:51Speaker 1: we're weird. That's what I think they're gonna say.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Well, I'm going to think that when we're very proud,
- 34:57Speaker 3: you know, I mean, not that that's you know, I mean,
- 35:00Speaker 3: I think it's pretty cool that finally somebody recognized that, because,
- 35:03Speaker 3: like I said, I feel like in other parts of
- 35:05Speaker 3: the country, they've heard me do this or you speak this.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Way, and they actually think it's a dialect.
- 35:10Speaker 2: So I kind of get it.
- 35:12Speaker 1: So finally it's been recognized as a dialect, and I'm
- 35:16Speaker 1: proud of it.
- 35:17Speaker 2: M Mayami y Yeah, chat, it was good to see you.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I'm seeing you since I you know, we landed here
- 35:23Speaker 1: from Mexico and you look great.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I look like shit. I'm sorry I didn't turn out.
- 35:29Speaker 1: No, you don't, they said. I've been beginning like shit
- 35:32Speaker 1: for like four days. Does the audience know we have
- 35:35Speaker 1: rona now? They do now they do. Alexi and I
- 35:38Speaker 1: got Rona. It's still a thing, guys, So yes, it's
- 35:41Speaker 1: still it still exists, and we both have browna That's
- 35:43Speaker 1: why I keep coughing and we're I'm a little lethargic today.
- 35:47Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I'm not.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I'm a wig game. But I'm a little bit more
- 35:50Speaker 1: excited now now that I saw you. I'm a little
- 35:53Speaker 1: bit more excited.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I need to see you and talk to you.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, because when I see you like an
- 35:58Speaker 1: animated yes, we get like it makes it more fun. Yeah,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I also have a black eye. Everyone listening,
- 36:06Speaker 1: I have a dreadful black eye from a sty from
- 36:09Speaker 1: a stye.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Can you please, can you please say why you have
- 36:12Speaker 3: the black eye? It wasn't any of the friends that
- 36:14Speaker 3: did it too.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I have a sty.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Well.
- 36:15Speaker 1: The doctor even said to me, you know, I've only
- 36:17Speaker 1: seen this a few times, that someone gets an entire
- 36:20Speaker 1: black eye from a sty. My eyes like purple and brown.
- 36:24Speaker 1: So there's no visual of me today. And I'm also
- 36:28Speaker 1: dying over here from the Rhona. So apologize for all
- 36:32Speaker 1: my coughing and that you can't see me. Despite all
- 36:34Speaker 1: that you look good. I'm looking at you.
- 36:38Speaker 3: I said, thank you for coming on screen because I
- 36:40Speaker 3: needed to see your face so I could do this.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I know it makes a different skin looks beautiful.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Oh, thank you. I tried on my wedding dress. I
- 36:53Speaker 1: want to see it. It's cute. I love you listen
- 37:00Speaker 1: as said place it.
