- Lucas: Hey Luna, ready for another episode of Learn Danish with Fexingo? Luna: Yeah, I'm so ready! Last episode we learned about rooms in a house. I've been practicing 'Hvor er badeværelset?' all week. Lucas: That's great. Today we're going to talk about something you can always see outside — the weather. Luna: Oh, the weather! Danes talk about that a lot, right? Lucas: Absolutely. So let's start with the sun. In Danish, 'sun' is 'solen'. Luna: Solen. Lucas: Perfect. 'Solen'. And if it's sunny, you can say 'Det er solskin'. Luna: Det er solskin. Lucas: Exactly. So 'solen' is the sun, and 'solskin' is sunshine. Let's try a little scene. Imagine you look out the window and see the sun shining. You can say 'Det er solskin'. Luna: Ah, ok. Det er solskin. Lucas: Good. Now, what if it's raining? 'Rain' in Danish is 'regn'. Luna: Regn. Lucas: And to say 'It is raining', you say 'Det regner'. Luna: Det regner. Lucas: Nice. So 'regn' is rain, and 'Det regner' is 'it's raining'. Can you say that? Luna: Det regner. Lucas: Great. Now for snow. 'Snow' in Danish is 'sne'. Luna: Sne. Lucas: And to say 'It is snowing', you say 'Det sner'. Luna: Det sner. Lucas: Perfect. Let's do a quick recap. Sun is 'solen'. Luna: Solen. Lucas: Rain is 'regn'. Luna: Regn. Lucas: Snow is 'sne'. Luna: Sne. Lucas: And then the sentences: 'Det er solskin', 'Det regner', 'Det sner'. Luna: Det er solskin, Det regner, Det sner. Lucas: You're nailing it. Let's try a conversation. I'll ask you about the weather, and you answer. Luna: Okay, let's do it. Lucas: Hvad er vejret i dag? Luna: Uhh, is that 'What's the weather today?' Lucas: Exactly. So answer with one of our phrases. Luna: Det er solskin. Lucas: Perfect. Now imagine it's raining. Luna: Det regner. Lucas: And now it's snowing. Luna: Det sner. Lucas: Yes! You've got it. Let's hear those words one more time. Sun? Luna: Solen. Lucas: Rain? Luna: Regn. Lucas: Snow? Luna: Sne. Lucas: And the sentences? Luna: Det er solskin. Det regner. Det sner. Lucas: Fantastic. So next time you look outside, try saying what the weather is in Danish. It's a great way to practice. Luna: Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks Lucas. And thanks Fexingo for another fun lesson! Lucas: Remember to practice these phrases, and we'll see you next time on Learn Danish with Fexingo. Luna: Hej hej! Lucas: Hej hej!
