- 2:27Speaker 1: lot coming up, so you definitely, definitely, you know, should
- 2:33Speaker 1: check it out. Now. Guys, today we are headed to
- 2:38Speaker 1: Colorado for our cases, and I have to tell you,
- 2:43Speaker 1: Colorado is absolutely beautiful place and I love it and
- 2:49Speaker 1: I look forward to spending more time there one day
- 2:52Speaker 1: with DOUBLEH when we retire. Colorado sits in the heart
- 2:56Speaker 1: of the American West, bordered by Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma,
- 3:02Speaker 1: New Mexico, Arizona, in Utah. It's known for dramatic and
- 3:10Speaker 1: when I say dramatic, more dramatic than me, elevation changes.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It is home to the Rocky Mountains, the high plains,
- 3:17Speaker 1: desert landscapes, alpine fores, and some amazing skiing. Okay. The
- 3:24Speaker 1: state capitol, Denver, is often called the mile High City
- 3:28Speaker 1: because it sits exactly one mile above sea level. Guys,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that's not why I thought it was called that, So
- 3:35Speaker 1: when researching this, I was like, oh, I thought it
- 3:39Speaker 1: had to do with mile high clubs. So see, even
- 3:42Speaker 1: old people can learn something. Colorado's economy is driven by tourism,
- 3:47Speaker 1: outdoor recreation, agriculture, aerospace, and technology. Has a population of
- 3:54Speaker 1: nearly six million people, and it blends fast growing urban
- 3:59Speaker 1: centers with vast rural counties and remote mountain communities. Colorado
- 4:05Speaker 1: consistently maintains several hundred active cases at any given time
- 4:11Speaker 1: of missing persons. According to data from the National Crime
- 4:15Speaker 1: Information Center, thousands of people reported missing and are filed
- 4:21Speaker 1: in Colorado each year. Thankfully, the majority are resolved relatively quickly.
- 4:29Speaker 1: As in many states, juveniles make up a significant portion
- 4:34Speaker 1: of reports, often involving runaways. However, there are also long
- 4:40Speaker 1: term missing cases that have been open for decades, and
- 4:46Speaker 1: I have to tell you, guys, this first case is
- 4:49Speaker 1: one of those. Okay, It is one of those, And
- 4:55Speaker 1: I will tell you there is very little to fine
- 4:58Speaker 1: on this case, but it's one of the reasons why
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's even more important for us to share it, okay.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Katherine Barnum was twenty four years old when she disappeared
- 5:11Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy nine. She was a white female with
- 5:15Speaker 1: red hair and hazel eyes. She wore eyeglasses. She stood
- 5:19Speaker 1: about five four inches tall weighed approximately two hundred and
- 5:23Speaker 1: ten pounds. She was reported by missing by her sister,
- 5:27Speaker 1: Bonnie Buckley in February of nineteen seventy nine. Catherine lived
- 5:32Speaker 1: in an apartment near the nine hundred block of South
- 5:34Speaker 1: Salem Street in Aurora, Colorado. At the time of her disappearance,
- 5:40Speaker 1: Randall Arnold had been residing with her for about two months.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Arnold had a record for theft dating back to the
- 5:47Speaker 1: early nineteen seventies. After Catherine went missing, Arnold speculated that
- 5:53Speaker 1: she had gone to California with an unidentified male enjoining
- 5:57Speaker 1: the Harry Krishna organized. Catherine has never been heard from again.
- 6:06Speaker 1: At one point, an informant told the Drug Enforcement Administration
- 6:11Speaker 1: that Catherine's body had been dumped in a mine shaft
- 6:14Speaker 1: near Central City, Colorado. This information has never been confirmed.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Randall Arnold is now deceased and any information he has
- 6:25Speaker 1: is gone with him. However, he could have mentioned something
- 6:30Speaker 1: to a friend or a family member. If he did,
- 6:33Speaker 1: please please speak up because there's questions. Did Catherine leave
- 6:38Speaker 1: Colorado and travel to California or is her body somewhere
- 6:42Speaker 1: in a mind shaft in Colorado. These questions remain unanswered today.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Her case remains unsolved and very few details are available.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We didn't have the technology in the reporting system back
- 6:57Speaker 1: then that we have now. If you have any information
- 7:01Speaker 1: about the disappearance of Catherine Barnum, I beg you please
- 7:06Speaker 1: contact the Aurora Police Department at three oh three six
- 7:10Speaker 1: two seven thirty one hundred. Her family deserves answers even
- 7:17Speaker 1: more today than yesterday. If you know of or if
- 7:23Speaker 1: you have a left one missing and you are interested
- 7:25Speaker 1: in having their story featured on an upcoming episode, or
- 7:30Speaker 1: maybe join us for a live interview, you can contact
- 7:33Speaker 1: me Terry at tcwtmedia dot com, or you can reach
- 7:38Speaker 1: out send us a DM on any of our social
- 7:41Speaker 1: media accounts. James Brian Rowe was twenty six years old
- 7:48Speaker 1: when he disappeared on July thirtieth, two thousand and four.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It was the last scene in Cres Stone, Colorado, after
- 7:56Speaker 1: telling his friends he was heading to a hot spring.
- 8:00Speaker 1: He never returned. Rose described as a white male with
- 8:05Speaker 1: brown hair, blue or hazel eyes, standing five foot eleven
- 8:09Speaker 1: inches to six feet tall, weighed about one hundred and
- 8:13Speaker 1: thirty five to one hundred and forty pounds. His chin
- 8:16Speaker 1: and nose were pierced, and his ears were gaged for
- 8:19Speaker 1: disk about three quarters of an inch in diameter. Although
- 8:23Speaker 1: he was likely not wearing jewelry, at the time he vanished.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He has a tattoo of vines on his neck and chin.
- 8:32Speaker 1: James does have a history of drug addiction, but was
- 8:36Speaker 1: said to be clean at the time of his disappearance.
- 8:40Speaker 1: On August third, two thousand and four, the same day
- 8:43Speaker 1: he was reported missing, his jeep was found about twenty
- 8:48Speaker 1: miles north of Crest Cruststone on a road off Colorado seventeen.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Inside the vehicle were hiking and camping gear along with
- 8:59Speaker 1: the keys. Authorities belief he may have attempted to walk
- 9:03Speaker 1: back to Crestone. He reportedly made a bank transaction on
- 9:08Speaker 1: August second in Villa Grove, Colorado, and on August third,
- 9:13Speaker 1: he may have been seen at a Walmart in Alamosa, Colorado.
- 9:18Speaker 1: My first thought, guys, Walmart, was there video footage? Was
- 9:23Speaker 1: he inside the Walmart? Just in the parking lot? Did
- 9:26Speaker 1: they check for video footage? I looked, I couldn't find anything,
- 9:31Speaker 1: So I need to know was he. James was the
- 9:35Speaker 1: co owner of the Earthstar co Op, which is a
- 9:38Speaker 1: natural food store and restaurant in Crestone. Shortly before he vanished,
- 9:44Speaker 1: he attended a weekend empowerment seminar hosted by Landmark Education
- 9:50Speaker 1: in Denver, Colorado, which for the records, guys, has been
- 9:55Speaker 1: said to have cult like activities. Okay, yes, I went
- 10:00Speaker 1: down a little bit of a rabbit hole, but we're
- 10:02Speaker 1: not gonna get into that. But it's a red flag
- 10:04Speaker 1: for me because cult like activities is scary, and usually
- 10:13Speaker 1: there is some truth in those rumors. Okay. After the seminar,
- 10:18Speaker 1: loved one said he began acting differently. He asked a
- 10:22Speaker 1: friend to drop him off at a trail head, but
- 10:25Speaker 1: returned home to c restaurant about an hour and a
- 10:28Speaker 1: half later, barefoot and disorted, disordered, disoriented. It is said
- 10:35Speaker 1: he changed his appearance, removing his ear, disc in all
- 10:38Speaker 1: of his piercings, cutting his hair, and shaving his facial hair.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's a big change. Friends described him as acting scattered
- 10:49Speaker 1: and ungrounded, and said he appeared somewhat illusional. His mother
- 10:55Speaker 1: and sister stated that after speaking with him not long
- 10:58Speaker 1: after the seminar, he seemed disconnected and talked about creating
- 11:03Speaker 1: his own reality. That's definitely giving me cult vibes, guys, okay,
- 11:09Speaker 1: or brainwashing hypnosis something. His mother, who lives in Burlington, Vermont,
- 11:15Speaker 1: said he always stayed in regular contact and had never
- 11:19Speaker 1: ever left without warning or went incognito. She has not
- 11:26Speaker 1: heard from him since July thirty, two thousand and four.
- 11:31Speaker 1: His sister fears maybe he had a nervous breakdown. Did
- 11:36Speaker 1: he harm himself? So many questions. I can't help but
- 11:40Speaker 1: thinking that maybe James was looking for some ambers or
- 11:43Speaker 1: answers or purpose after he was able to get off drugs,
- 11:47Speaker 1: which sadly can make people easier targets when they're searching
- 11:52Speaker 1: for something. Cults and nefarious people will latch onto that.
- 11:59Speaker 1: In the fall winner of two thousand and four, there
- 12:01Speaker 1: were reported sightings of James in Alamosa Selita and Poncho Springs, Colorado.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Nothing confirmed. Then in November of two thousand and five,
- 12:13Speaker 1: there was another possible sighting at a truck stop near Thomasville, Georgia.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Landon air search was conducted in Sagucci County. I think
- 12:24Speaker 1: it's how you say it. I pardon me if I
- 12:26Speaker 1: didn't say it right, including the use of tracker dogs
- 12:32Speaker 1: in the USI socks near where Jeep was found. Nothing
- 12:36Speaker 1: major was detected and guys, nothing has been found or
- 12:42Speaker 1: they haven't reported that they have found anything that would
- 12:44Speaker 1: help this investigation. Flyers have been distributed throughout the San
- 12:49Speaker 1: Luis Valley in Chaffey County, but as of today, nothing
- 12:55Speaker 1: has come up the searches or the posters. James said
- 13:00Speaker 1: to enjoy music, cooking, and outdoor activities such as skiing
- 13:05Speaker 1: and hiking, and he is also a vegetarian. His case
- 13:09Speaker 1: remains unsolved and his family is hoping someone with information
- 13:15Speaker 1: will call. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of James
- 13:20Speaker 1: Brian Rowe is asked to contact the Sagachi County Sheriff's
- 13:25Speaker 1: Department at seven one nine five two five four four.
- 13:32Speaker 1: These families deserve to have their loved ones found, just
- 13:36Speaker 1: like all others that we share. I would like to
- 13:39Speaker 1: ask all of you to please either go to our

- 13:45Speaker 1: social media pages and share the missing person flyers for
- 13:49Speaker 1: Catherine and James. We will be posting these right after
- 13:53Speaker 1: this live because guys, we never know if tips will
- 13:57Speaker 1: come in, but what we do know is just by
- 14:00Speaker 1: posting these that we are letting the families know that
- 14:03Speaker 1: their loved ones have not been forgotten. Okay, I want
