- 1:51Speaker 1: I know YouTube is having some issues maybe kind of
- 1:56Speaker 1: right now for users and for viewers. So for those
- 1:59Speaker 1: of you tuning in live to this episode, let me
- 2:02Speaker 1: know how the YouTube experience is going for you if
- 2:05Speaker 1: you have any issues, you know, logging into your regular
- 2:08Speaker 1: account or checking anything. You folks are really great with
- 2:11Speaker 1: that anytime there are any issues, you know from the
- 2:14Speaker 1: from the Peanut gallery and the live viewer section. So
- 2:17Speaker 1: I appreciate you folks as always in this episode, appreciate
- 2:20Speaker 1: you Jay, Thank you very much for the comment. Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I had a notification in stream yard before we went live,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and then a couple after that, and I was like, Okay,
- 2:26Speaker 1: is it on my end? Is it on YouTube's and
- 2:29Speaker 1: we'll see, Oh, what's going on? But I appreciate you
- 2:31Speaker 1: for that, Jay. In this episode, we will be diving
- 2:35Speaker 1: into a multitude of details regarding the Buffalo Bills, avenues
- 2:40Speaker 1: and paths that they can take at pick twenty six
- 2:43Speaker 1: in the upcoming NFL Draft. We are about three weeks
- 2:46Speaker 1: away roughly, and some change, it creeps ever so closer
- 2:51Speaker 1: to us here and by you know that creeping it
- 2:54Speaker 1: is the twenty twenty six NFL Draft, and I've talked
- 2:57Speaker 1: a bunch on the show of Kenny Know What?
- 3:00Speaker 3: But what's good? Derek? I appreciate you stopping by r J.
- 3:03Speaker 3: What's up?
- 3:03Speaker 4: R J.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I've talked a bunch on this show about kind of
- 3:09Speaker 1: in like official capacities and also alluded to some things
- 3:12Speaker 1: of kind of what that's a good comment there, I
- 3:14Speaker 1: need a muffle with my coffee, well played. I've talked
- 3:17Speaker 1: a bunch about in various forms and fashions about what
- 3:21Speaker 1: I would like to see the Bills do at pick
- 3:24Speaker 1: twenty six, and I feel like as we get to
- 3:27Speaker 1: this point in the season or the off season, I
- 3:30Speaker 1: should say I wanted to solidify several of those talking
- 3:33Speaker 1: points and details and also kind of tied into, you know,
- 3:36Speaker 1: some things that we're seeing, you know, from a mock
- 3:38Speaker 1: draft standpoint, not that these are the end all be
- 3:40Speaker 1: all by any means, shape or form, but you will
- 3:43Speaker 1: get mock drafts from folks who are tied into the
- 3:46Speaker 1: league and who make their mocks based on kind of
- 3:49Speaker 1: like a predictive fashion, based on what they're hearing from
- 3:52Speaker 1: team reports, based on what they're hearing from scouts, You'll
- 3:54Speaker 1: start to see some names that are tied in and
- 3:56Speaker 1: it's like, whoa, why is this guy being mock to
- 3:58Speaker 1: this team? How come this guy is being left out
- 4:01Speaker 1: of the first round completely? How come this guy is
- 4:03Speaker 1: being mocked so high? Now, you know, things start to
- 4:06Speaker 1: solidify from a real actual football draft pick perspective and
- 4:11Speaker 1: selection process as we start to go forward here, so
- 4:14Speaker 1: we start to see some details come out, and that
- 4:16Speaker 1: leads to discussion and questions on you know, is this
- 4:20Speaker 1: guy going to fall? Is this guy going to be there?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Should this team reach for this guy or this position?
- 4:26Speaker 1: So on and so forth, and so I think like
- 4:28Speaker 1: with that kind of on the horizon, it's starting to
- 4:30Speaker 1: become more of the conversation. In addition to a lot
- 4:33Speaker 1: of the pieces than breadcrumbs that I've dropped throughout the
- 4:35Speaker 1: episodes the past several weeks or past months really here
- 4:38Speaker 1: on the show, I thought it'd be fun to kind
- 4:39Speaker 1: of just put a nice little bow on it of
- 4:42Speaker 1: what the Bill should or could do at pick twenty
- 4:45Speaker 1: six in the twenty twenty six NFL Draft. These, of
- 4:47Speaker 1: course are my thoughts on what they should do, what
- 4:50Speaker 1: I would prefer them to do, and the reasoning behind
- 4:54Speaker 1: it obviously is tied to evaluation and prospect breakdowns. Those
- 5:00Speaker 1: of course are my own as well. So I could
- 5:02Speaker 1: be completely wrong on a player. I could be too high,
- 5:05Speaker 1: it could be too low, I could be too whatever
- 5:07Speaker 1: on a guy. But that's kind of where the impetus
- 5:10Speaker 1: of everything comes from in this episode, and I'm excited
- 5:12Speaker 1: to dive into it, and I gotta stop.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Because we have Superchat.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Appreciate you being here, Jason. You are extremely consistent and
- 5:18Speaker 1: I appreciate your generosity. As always with the super Chat,
- 5:20Speaker 1: Jason says, please take the best wide receiver, edge, nose tackle,
- 5:26Speaker 1: linebacker available draft, whatever is the highest grade available. Kind Of,
- 5:31Speaker 1: while we're on that, I mentioned I put it into
- 5:33Speaker 1: the comments before we went live here. As always, questions, thoughts, comments, concerns, anythings,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you folks, anything you folks have, feel free to put
- 5:40Speaker 1: it up into the chat. Super chats as always get priority.
- 5:43Speaker 1: But I want to know from and you guys kind
- 5:45Speaker 1: of already doing it in the chat, but I want
- 5:46Speaker 1: to know from everybody watching live. What do you want
- 5:49Speaker 1: the Bills to do? Is it a position you want,
- 5:52Speaker 1: is it a player you want? Is it you know
- 5:55Speaker 1: something specific or bust. Is it a trade back? Is
- 5:58Speaker 1: it one over the other? Do you have a specific preference,
- 6:01Speaker 1: do you have like a ranking of things. If you're
- 6:04Speaker 1: not watching live and you're watching post live, let me
- 6:06Speaker 1: know in the YouTube comments as well. I always get
- 6:08Speaker 1: back and try to turn that conversational and make that
- 6:11Speaker 1: very engaging. But yeah, I want to know where where
- 6:13Speaker 1: everyone's head is at when it comes to pick twenty
- 6:15Speaker 1: six for the Bills and Jason, going back to your comment,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I've kind of come around on this. I said, oh,
- 6:21Speaker 1: last week's episode, maybe the week before I mentioned, No,
- 6:26Speaker 1: it wasn't the week before because we didn't need to
- 6:28Speaker 1: do an episode because I was traveling. I've come around
- 6:31Speaker 1: more on wide receiver in the first round. I still
- 6:37Speaker 1: don't love it because of the needs on the defensive side,
- 6:41Speaker 1: and I do think there are a good chunk of
- 6:43Speaker 1: needs on the defensive side, but I've come around more
- 6:48Speaker 1: to the idea of wide receiver in round one and
- 6:50Speaker 1: just in general, I've come around more to the idea
- 6:53Speaker 1: of just get the best player and kind of Jason
- 6:56Speaker 1: to your point here, like wide receiver, edge nose, linebacker, draft,
- 7:00Speaker 1: whatever is the highest grade available. I'm kind of on
- 7:03Speaker 1: that boat at this point. Now, get the best player available,
- 7:08Speaker 1: whatever it is. If it's a receiver, awesome, If it's
- 7:11Speaker 1: an edge awesome. If it's an interior defensive lineman, like
- 7:14Speaker 1: somebody who can play some defensive tackle but also some
- 7:16Speaker 1: four I and an odd front cool. Just get the
- 7:20Speaker 1: best player available. That's kind of where I'm at. I
- 7:22Speaker 1: really was more you gotta go defense. I still would
- 7:26Speaker 1: prefer a trade back over everything, and I'm gonna dive
- 7:28Speaker 1: into a good chunk of that in this episode. But
- 7:30Speaker 1: I went through and have detailed several teams specific picks
- 7:34Speaker 1: trade values according to the Jimmy Johnson chart that the
- 7:38Speaker 1: Bills could do. We're gonna outline that and detail that
- 7:40Speaker 1: in specificity as we go forward here. But yeah, I'm
- 7:44Speaker 1: if they make a selection to twenty six, which again
- 7:46Speaker 1: is very possible, Like we could all want them to
- 7:49Speaker 1: trade back, they could want to trade back.
- 7:51Speaker 3: It takes two to tangle.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You need someone to dance with you, and if nobody's
- 7:54Speaker 1: willing to dance or you know, match your steps right
- 7:57Speaker 1: or dance to the song you want to dance to,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you gotta sit and you gotta make the selection.
- 8:01Speaker 3: So if they do make a selection.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I have come around to whoever the best player is,
- 8:07Speaker 1: whatever the position, make it happen. I would prefer it
- 8:11Speaker 1: to be one of the bigger positions of need. So again,
- 8:14Speaker 1: like ideally somewhere on the defensive line, particularly edge or
- 8:18Speaker 1: interior defensive line. I'm open to the idea of linebacker.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I've become more open to the idea of wide receiver.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Just take the best guy available. Like, if the best
- 8:26Speaker 1: guy on the board is Casey conceptsy On, take Casey Conceptsio.
- 8:31Speaker 1: If Jordan Tyson falls, which we're going to talk about, Yeah,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I've come around more to that idea. My thought has
- 8:37Speaker 1: always been they have to really reinforce the defense this year,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and it's not because of the Gym Lenard changes. They
- 8:42Speaker 1: were gonna have to reinforce the defense even if Sean
- 8:44Speaker 1: McDermott and everybody stayed.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I've said that a ga jillion times this year. And
- 8:50Speaker 3: r J.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, to your point RJ saying I don't want to
- 8:52Speaker 1: draft running back, center, offensive tackle, quarterback in the first round, yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I don't think anybody. I'll put that out there, you know,
- 8:59Speaker 1: as a disclaimer. Yeah, obviously there are certain positions there
- 9:02Speaker 1: that don't kind of fall into that best player available,
- 9:06Speaker 1: it's still within a need range. But yeah, I wanted
- 9:11Speaker 1: more of a defensive focus in this draft, in this offseason,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and that was even before Jim Leonard and all the
- 9:16Speaker 1: scheme instructure changes. I feel that way even more so
- 9:19Speaker 1: now with the Jim Leonard hiring in the scheme instructure changes,
- 9:22Speaker 1: especially after the lack of activity and free agency, especially
- 9:26Speaker 1: with what I really wanted to see happen. But you know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: if your offense is really good, there's nothing wrong with
- 9:34Speaker 1: trying to make it better. And if that's a wide
- 9:35Speaker 1: receiver it picked twenty six, cool. So yeah, I have
- 9:38Speaker 1: come around more to that idea. To Jason's point, let's
- 9:43Speaker 1: get some comments here as we do our Jay says,
- 9:46Speaker 1: Casey conceptsi own maybe one of those top edges or
- 9:49Speaker 1: maybe a trade down and get.
- 9:50Speaker 3: A top notch nose tackle down. For that, we got
- 9:53Speaker 3: to stop. We got a super chat.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Jason again, appreciate you being here in the generosity. Thank
- 9:57Speaker 1: you again for another super chat. Jason says, if they
- 10:00Speaker 1: can trade out of the first to get more Day
- 10:03Speaker 1: two picks, so be it, especially if their top graded
- 10:05Speaker 1: guys are gone.
- 10:06Speaker 3: That's where I'm at a lot of it ties into
- 10:09Speaker 3: more of my draft board.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I just I have a ton of guys graded with
- 10:17Speaker 1: from like a round perspective, like two and a half
- 10:19Speaker 1: to three and a half.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I think that's where the draft is most rich.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I think this draft class is very rich in like
- 10:25Speaker 1: guys that are gonna go like thirty to eighty, thirty
- 10:28Speaker 1: to eighty five, somewhere in that range. I just think
- 10:31Speaker 1: that's where the best value is in this draft. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: don't think there's a ton of difference makers or a
- 10:36Speaker 1: ton of like blue chip prospects. The odds of one
- 10:39Speaker 1: of those guys falling to you at twenty six is low.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Usually guys that you're taking at the end of the
- 10:44Speaker 1: first round tend to be second round graded guys anyway.
- 10:47Speaker 3: But if the right one is there, awesome, no problem
- 10:49Speaker 3: with that.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But I you know, and again I'm gonna get into
- 10:52Speaker 1: detail as we go forward in this episode.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I really just.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Want as many as many picks in the top ninety
- 10:59Speaker 1: or as many picks in the top one hundred as possible,
- 11:02Speaker 1: give me as many second and third round picks, as
- 11:05Speaker 1: many picks in the first three rounds as possible, and
- 11:09Speaker 1: if that even means trading out of the first round
- 11:12Speaker 1: and gaining you know, and going from right now, the
- 11:14Speaker 1: Bills have pick twenty six and ninety one, so they
- 11:16Speaker 1: got two picks in the top ninety one, and then
- 11:19Speaker 1: after pick ninety one it jumps to one twenty six,
- 11:21Speaker 1: so they only have two in the top one hundred.
- 11:23Speaker 1: They only have three in the top one twenty six.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Even if it means dropping from pick twenty six in
- 11:28Speaker 1: the first in the first round and you gain you know,
- 11:31Speaker 1: another third round pick, and you're picking in the middle
- 11:34Speaker 1: thirties or late thirties, and then you're getting you know,
- 11:38Speaker 1: a late third or an early fourth or ideally a
- 11:41Speaker 1: middle third something like that. Give me as many Day
- 11:43Speaker 1: two picks ideally as possible. I know things are perfect,
- 11:46Speaker 1: so I'll throw Hey, if they can get an early
- 11:48Speaker 1: Day three and early four, that might sweeten it a
- 11:50Speaker 1: little bit, dependent on how far are you going to drop.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But yeah, I am a fan of the trade back.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Absolutely what Tim Tim most slice.
- 12:01Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Tim says, the defensive tackle from Ohio State fills a
- 12:05Speaker 1: need and it makes a twenty two year old next
- 12:07Speaker 1: to him better. I am a fan of Caid McDonald.
- 12:10Speaker 1: We will be talking about Caid McDonald in this episode
- 12:13Speaker 1: that is the defensive tackle from Ohio State. I am
- 12:16Speaker 1: pretty reasonably confident that you are alluding to there we
- 12:19Speaker 1: will be talking about Kaid McDonald in this episode. Samtha
- 12:22Speaker 1: says the best nose tackle available, then linebacker and then
- 12:26Speaker 1: follow common is I like Cayden, but Dominique Orange is
- 12:30Speaker 1: a work of art. Yeah, Big Citrus is fun. My
- 12:32Speaker 1: old thing with that is nos is weird right, like
- 12:36Speaker 1: because I don't I understand the value proposition or conversation
- 12:40Speaker 1: of like taking a two down player early, like taking
- 12:46Speaker 1: him in the first round. Really like how much pass
- 12:48Speaker 1: Russ pop do they give you. It's a person who
- 12:49Speaker 1: has kind of like a siloed role. I just think
- 12:52Speaker 1: they need to come out of this draft with a
- 12:54Speaker 1: true nose. It could be in round one, it could
- 12:56Speaker 1: be in round three, it could be in round four.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I would love for them to get Dominique Orange. There
- 13:00Speaker 1: are several guys who I like at the defensive tackle spot,
- 13:02Speaker 1: like from a true nose perspective that I would be
- 13:05Speaker 1: cool with or I would be comfortable with. My only
- 13:07Speaker 1: worry is, you know, the longer you go and the
- 13:10Speaker 1: less picks you have. Again, if they stay exactly where
- 13:13Speaker 1: they are. If they stay pat they're twenty six and
- 13:16Speaker 1: then ninety one and then one twenty six, Is Dominiq
- 13:19Speaker 1: Horn's going to be there ninety one? Maybe also maybe not,
- 13:23Speaker 1: like what noses are going to be there, Like I'd
- 13:26Speaker 1: be cool with Dominique Orange, I'd be cool with Daryl Jackson,
- 13:30Speaker 1: I'd be cool with you know a lot of other
- 13:31Speaker 1: guys that are gonna get into uh in this episode.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I be like, come to some of the later names,
- 13:35Speaker 1: Like I'm cool with Orange, I'm cool with Daryl Jackson,
- 13:37Speaker 1: I'm cool with Chris McClellan from Missouri, Like I am
- 13:41Speaker 1: fine with some of those guys. Again, those are different
- 13:43Speaker 1: types of interior defenders and noses. If I had my brothers,
- 13:47Speaker 1: I would get Cayden McDonald. I would get another guy
- 13:50Speaker 1: we're going to talk about here later in this episode.
- 13:52Speaker 1: But I do like Orange. It's just a matter of
- 13:56Speaker 1: like hoping that that guy is there later and if not,
- 13:59Speaker 1: what do you do because they have to come out
- 14:01Speaker 1: of this draft with that position or and that's again
- 14:03Speaker 1: in my estimation, they might feel like they don't need it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: They might say, you know what, We're still gonna run
- 14:10Speaker 1: like movement style defense up front, which I think they're
- 14:12Speaker 1: gonna do regardless anyway. And you know, penetration based and attacking,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and we want movement, we want gap jumping. We're gonna
- 14:19Speaker 1: do run stunts and rum blitzes and all this kind
- 14:21Speaker 1: of stuff, which again I think we're gonna get a
- 14:22Speaker 1: good chunk of that anyway. But I think they need
- 14:25Speaker 1: that nose tackle skill set in their arsenal in the
- 14:28Speaker 1: interior defensive line room. And I just want it guaranteed
- 14:32Speaker 1: in some form or fashion, and so I if you
- 14:35Speaker 1: have the chance to do it early, lock it in,
- 14:37Speaker 1: set it and forget it, don't worry about it. But
- 14:40Speaker 1: I do like Domini Gornge and he's got an awesome nickname.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Who just doesn't want to say big Citrus over and
- 14:44Speaker 1: over again.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Charles. I agree with you here, Charles.
- 14:47Speaker 1: What Charles Charles says perfect scenario is a trade back
- 14:50Speaker 1: and still getting a good player that slides absolutely. Like
- 14:53Speaker 1: the dream is You're sitting there at twenty six and
- 14:55Speaker 1: it's like, Wow, there's like eight guys that dart throw.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I would take any of them.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Cool.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Let's trade back to like the early thirties or the
- 15:05Speaker 1: mid thirties and still get one of those guys and
- 15:07Speaker 1: also pick up a round three pick while we do it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Something like that, Rico saying they're a good half dozen
- 15:14Speaker 1: prospects I could hope for.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Let me know who they are. Put them into the chat.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Eric says Casey Conceptsy on edge and defensive tackle. Very
- 15:21Speaker 1: interested in seeing all of the top thirties. Marty says
- 15:25Speaker 1: conceptsi on in the first if available. Beyond that, I
- 15:28Speaker 1: don't think I know enough about the prospects to make
- 15:30Speaker 1: a good argument. I respect your honesty, I sincerely do
- 15:33Speaker 1: too many people like to talk just to talk after
- 15:36Speaker 1: not having put in or done the the due diligence.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Having done the due diligence, that's hard to say, to
- 15:44Speaker 1: really speak about that stuff. So I like Casey conceptsion,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I like the back half of your comedy even more,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and your honesty. I like that Flash saying I like
- 15:52Speaker 1: this from Flash, Flash saying I'd like to trade back
- 15:54Speaker 1: a fraction to the mid thirties pick and then hopefully
- 15:57Speaker 1: pick up another thirty. I think that is the sweet
- 15:59Speaker 1: spot from a realistic standpoint, but also getting value. I'm
- 16:03Speaker 1: gonna break down all these trade back scenarios as we
- 16:06Speaker 1: start to go forward here, uh tc MP seven and six.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Ass I'd rather trade back and grab Orange or someone else.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Caden McDonald might not even get drafted in the first,
- 16:16Speaker 1: that's fair. You never know with guys like that, Like
- 16:19Speaker 1: I didn't know if TYLERK Williams was was gonna get
- 16:21Speaker 1: drafted in the first. He did last year. For what
- 16:24Speaker 1: it's worth, I liked Tyler Williams more than I like
- 16:27Speaker 1: Caiden McDonald. I moved in the camera not to focus,
- 16:30Speaker 1: thank you. I liked I have. I had a higher
- 16:33Speaker 1: grade on Tyler Williams than I do on Caiden McDonald.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I like Caiden McDonald. I've said that on the show.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I liked Tyler Williams more. I was more comfortable taking
- 16:43Speaker 1: TYLERK Williams in the first than I am Cad McDonald,
- 16:46Speaker 1: even though again you know knows in the first or
- 16:49Speaker 1: siloed run based player, early down defender.
- 16:52Speaker 3: In the first How much pass rush pop do you get,
- 16:56Speaker 3: What value do you get affecting that aspect of the game,
- 16:58Speaker 3: so on and so forth.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Rgie says, am I one of the few people who
- 17:02Speaker 1: thinks we have been drafting on defense for years now.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Am I one of the few people who
- 17:08Speaker 1: thinks our personnel we have been drafting on defense for
- 17:10Speaker 1: years now may actually fit better in this new scheme.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oliver and Walker at four I, Hoyt, Groot, Chubb at edge.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, if you if you're going just from
- 17:20Speaker 1: a pure draft standpoint, not to be you know, a stickler.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But Chub technically doesn't count, and Hoyt technically doesn't count
- 17:26Speaker 1: either because they weren't drafted. But yeah, I think Oliver
- 17:29Speaker 1: is find a fine fit in this defense. I think
- 17:31Speaker 1: Walker is an interesting one. Again, you can put him
- 17:33Speaker 1: at four. I you can put him at nose when
- 17:36Speaker 1: you do the even front structure stuff. He can still
- 17:38Speaker 1: do like a one or three and do a whole
- 17:40Speaker 1: bunch of movement things. Yeah, I think Oliver's a fine fit.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I think Walker is a fine fit. I think Groot
- 17:44Speaker 1: is a fine fit. You know, he's gonna play end
- 17:46Speaker 1: man on the line of scrimmage in the odd front
- 17:48Speaker 1: stuff or en man on the line of scrimmage in
- 17:50Speaker 1: the even front stuff. I do think Hoyt is a
- 17:52Speaker 1: good fit because of his multiplicity and his versatility. I
- 17:55Speaker 1: think Chubb is a good fit. Is the end man
- 17:56Speaker 1: on the line of scrimmage. The only the thing where
- 17:59Speaker 1: I think I think they really lack to maximize on
- 18:03Speaker 1: the ceiling of this defense and or make Jim Leonard's
- 18:06Speaker 1: job easier. I don't think they have enough dynamic players.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I don't think there's enough hybridization or versatility, especially in
- 18:13Speaker 1: the front and especially from like a effectiveness standpoint. How
- 18:18Speaker 1: good you can be if you're versatile. So I don't
- 18:19Speaker 1: think there's a lot of versatility or hybridization. And even
- 18:22Speaker 1: if there isn't, some I don't think it's holistically effective
- 18:25Speaker 1: with guys wearing a multitude of hats. There's not enough
- 18:28Speaker 1: guys who again not to keep banging the drum, but
- 18:31Speaker 1: to use a good like real NFL player example.
- 18:33Speaker 3: They don't have a Kaiden os.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Right, they don't have a Leoshano, they don't have a
- 18:39Speaker 1: Sebastian Joseph Day, they don't have a John Franklin Myers
- 18:42Speaker 1: like those versatility guys like inside linebacker, rush off the
- 18:46Speaker 1: edge a little bit, play the run, drop into coverage,
- 18:48Speaker 1: do some stuff. That's the Chanel and Ellis aspect. The
- 18:51Speaker 1: Sebastian Joseph d JFM piece is somebody who can line
- 18:54Speaker 1: up in a four E and be a bit of
- 18:55Speaker 1: an ass kicker against the run right in an odd front,
- 18:58Speaker 1: but also kick inside play a one or a three
- 19:01Speaker 1: in your even front stuff and be able to still
- 19:03Speaker 1: play the run but also rush to QB a little bit.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And those are just two examples there, and then you
- 19:07Speaker 1: tie it even further in terms of what they don't have.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So yeah, I don't think.
- 19:12Speaker 1: The the fit is holistically troublesome and kind of projecting guys.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I do think they are vulnerable in a multitude of positions,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and they lack hybridization and versatility across the board, especially upfront.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Idan says, I think you failed to consider that zero
- 19:27Speaker 1: blueberries is also an equal amount of blueberries in each muffin,
- 19:30Speaker 1: and I have not considered that, and you just blew
- 19:35Speaker 1: my mind, and I feel like I gotta shut the
- 19:38Speaker 1: stream down. Well played, Oh we got super chat. I
- 19:42Speaker 1: gotta stop score at the bottom. Justin, appreciate you, justin,
- 19:45Speaker 1: thank you for being here, thank you for the super jet,
- 19:47Speaker 1: Justin says. Bean always says he has only fifteen to
- 19:51Speaker 1: twenty first round grades if he's actually learned some patients.
- 19:54Speaker 1: What about double trade back? You could get four day
- 19:57Speaker 1: two picks. I do think in an ideal world, I
- 20:01Speaker 1: think that's awesome. I hate to you to utter the phrase
- 20:05Speaker 1: I'm about to say, because it's I do the mocks
- 20:07Speaker 1: for fun, and mocks aren't gonna be taken seriously to
- 20:09Speaker 1: that degree. But anytime I do like a mock draft,
- 20:12Speaker 1: if I'm and for those who know when I do
- 20:14Speaker 1: my mock drafts that I post on social it's when
- 20:17Speaker 1: like I'm waiting in line somewhere or I'm in a
- 20:19Speaker 1: waiting room anywhere where I'm literally.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Like waiting, I'm like, I wanna do a mock draft
- 20:22Speaker 3: real quick.
- 20:23Speaker 1: If I have, like you know, anywhere from like three
- 20:24Speaker 1: to ten minutes, like I'm gonna knock out a mock
- 20:26Speaker 1: draft or see how many I can do. My goal
- 20:29Speaker 1: And again these are not indicative of real life, but
- 20:31Speaker 1: my goal with those mocks is always like, Okay, how
- 20:33Speaker 1: many trade backs can I make depending on how the
- 20:36Speaker 1: board falls, and can I get to a spot where
- 20:39Speaker 1: like my first pick is like the early to mid forties,
- 20:45Speaker 1: where I'm picking like forty two to forty five, but
- 20:49Speaker 1: I then got four picks from like forty two to
- 20:52Speaker 1: ninety six something.
- 20:53Speaker 3: In that range, I am right there with you.
- 20:56Speaker 1: If man, if they could execute the double trade back
- 20:58Speaker 1: and you get the right value. Again, it depends on
- 21:01Speaker 1: where are the board's falling and what you're getting, But yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I would take that. And that's like a goal of
- 21:06Speaker 1: mine that I try to go into with my mock drafts.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I'm sitting there and you know, how can I move forward?
- 21:11Speaker 1: How can I move forward and.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Then move back?
- 21:14Speaker 1: I should say wow and gather as many Day two
- 21:17Speaker 1: picks as I can while not dropping so far where
- 21:20Speaker 1: it's like, well, your first pick comes at picks sixty now, which.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Still isn't the end of the world with all this
- 21:24Speaker 3: class is I like where your head's at. I like
- 21:29Speaker 3: where your head is at. Let me go back.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Bump bum bum bum bum.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Ranking Lisa is probably not gonna happen. But if we
- 21:36Speaker 1: can somehow trade back and somehow end up with Concepcion
- 21:39Speaker 1: and Trotter, I would be happy. I would be happy
- 21:42Speaker 1: with that. I do think that's that would be hard,
- 21:44Speaker 1: just based off of how I think the board is
- 21:45Speaker 1: gonna fall, But I think that's fair. Broy says, if
- 21:49Speaker 1: there's a player at twenty six that they feel can
- 21:51Speaker 1: make a difference, you take him screw the extra picks.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I do agree if if a difference maker falls or
- 21:56Speaker 1: somebody that you know. Sorry for those watching live, the
- 22:00Speaker 1: camera went out of focus because I'm moving around because
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'm excited and the blariness is.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Driving me insane.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I do think, yeah, if the if there's a difference maker,
- 22:09Speaker 1: who's there at twenty six, do it?
- 22:11Speaker 3: Scoop them up?
- 22:12Speaker 1: I have no problem with that. Depends on who that
- 22:16Speaker 1: difference maker is. Again, you know, they have their thoughts.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I have mine. Who's to say who's right? But no, seriously,
- 22:21Speaker 3: if you have that guy, do it.
- 22:24Speaker 1: My only concern is the last time they did that,
- 22:27Speaker 1: it was for kay. I think kyer Elam was like,
- 22:29Speaker 1: oh he was one of our last first round graded guys,
- 22:31Speaker 1: so he was a difference maker for them, and we
- 22:34Speaker 1: saw how that went. Not that that means they should
- 22:37Speaker 1: never do that ever. Again, we shouldn't use past failures
- 22:39Speaker 1: as a reason to stop doing things like that ever
- 22:41Speaker 1: going forward. Jason says his DJ reader's still available. I
- 22:44Speaker 1: think he is, and I'd be fine with DJ Reader,
- 22:48Speaker 1: especially at this point. But man, there's a lot of
- 22:51Speaker 1: really good and effective noses that are just gone now
- 22:56Speaker 1: in free agency and it would have been nice if
- 23:00Speaker 1: they could have gotten one. Sorry, I don't know what's
- 23:02Speaker 1: going on with the cameraon, and I just drive me
- 23:04Speaker 1: absolutely a saint. Jason says, if we take nose in
- 23:07Speaker 1: the first or second, it's gotta be a high value guy.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Can't just be a two down.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Type of guy.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Problem is a lot of nose tackles you're getting are
- 23:14Speaker 1: mainly gonna be two down players, Like you're not getting
- 23:16Speaker 1: a lot of noses that are a true three down,
- 23:20Speaker 1: great against the run and effective against the quarterback. Like
- 23:23Speaker 1: it's it's tough TCMP seven one six is what about
- 23:27Speaker 1: Lee Hunter from Texas Tech?
- 23:28Speaker 3: All keep going here. I don't mind him.
- 23:32Speaker 1: He's just very limited in his movement and I wish
- 23:37Speaker 1: he was better at recognizing double teams and anchoring dropping
- 23:40Speaker 1: the knee a little bit, and he stalls out in
- 23:42Speaker 1: his pass rush. I think he's like a pure plugger
- 23:45Speaker 1: more than he is anything else. And even with the plugging,
- 23:47Speaker 1: it's still like he tries to he almost like plays finesse,
- 23:51Speaker 1: a finesse style, even though.
- 23:53Speaker 3: He's like a big dude.
- 23:54Speaker 1: He's like moving my noteseries sixty three, three hundred and
- 23:57Speaker 1: twenty pounds.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I think it's the Senior Bowl measurements. Actually, let me
- 24:01Speaker 3: just type in. I act like I can't just look
- 24:03Speaker 3: it up right now.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so six three and a half three hundred and
- 24:08Speaker 1: eighteen pounds. Yeah, he's built like a plugger and his
- 24:11Speaker 1: role is that of a plugger, but he plays more
- 24:14Speaker 1: of a finess style, kind of ironically similar to kind
- 24:17Speaker 1: of Deon Walker a little bit, but not as athletic
- 24:19Speaker 1: and nowhere near as nimble or his movement based. I
- 24:23Speaker 1: would be fine with him at like pick ninety one
- 24:26Speaker 1: or later, but there are definitely guys I prefer over him. Oh,
- 24:30Speaker 1: I gotta stop because you got a super chat? Whoof,
- 24:33Speaker 1: Jason says a little off topic. Jason again, thank you
- 24:36Speaker 1: so much for being here for the super chat. Again,
- 24:37Speaker 1: Jason says a little off topic. But do you think
- 24:39Speaker 1: hoy can slim down to two sixty two sixty five
- 24:41Speaker 1: and play mike and still have the weight for the
- 24:44Speaker 1: versatility to play outside linebacker even line up at edge
- 24:46Speaker 1: and some looks. I don't want Bernard playing the mic.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I think he can slim down. I'm not putting him
- 24:54Speaker 1: at Mike because it's really just gonna I mean, I
- 24:58Speaker 1: just don't think he's built for the cover bridge aspect
- 25:02Speaker 1: necessary to play Mike. I'm fine if he's lining up
- 25:06Speaker 1: as like an off ball linebacker, as like an inside
- 25:08Speaker 1: linebacker and then blitzing and coming forward and playing the
- 25:11Speaker 1: run and playing downhill.
- 25:14Speaker 3: But yeah, now I think it would be tough for
- 25:16Speaker 3: him to live in that world.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I mean, we've seen him moonlight a little bit in
- 25:19Speaker 1: certain sub packages at an off ball linebacker spot.
- 25:22Speaker 3: He's comfortable in coverage.
- 25:24Speaker 1: He can rush at a multitude of ways, come downhill,
- 25:26Speaker 1: come off the edge, drop, be an actual one on
- 25:29Speaker 1: one rusher, stunt spike, be the pick guy, be the looper,
- 25:32Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff. But I wouldn't I don't
- 25:35Speaker 1: think putting him straight at Mike and then have expecting
- 25:41Speaker 1: the versatility on top of it, especially with you know,
- 25:44Speaker 1: depending on who there are other linebackers on the inside,
- 25:46Speaker 1: like right now, if you do that because you don't
- 25:48Speaker 1: want Bernard, then it's like, okay, is it Hoyt and
- 25:50Speaker 1: Dorian and.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Oh, in this fair comment, you follow up, Okay, I
- 25:56Speaker 1: thought he might get by with some of the coverage
- 25:58Speaker 1: due to some of the zone blitzer as he's been
- 26:00Speaker 1: I do think that's fair, right, Like, I think you
- 26:02Speaker 1: can function in the world where it's simulated pressures, creepers,
- 26:06Speaker 1: zone blitzes, or just in general like rum blitzes and
- 26:10Speaker 1: coming forward and playing downhill. I just don't think he's
- 26:13Speaker 1: the guy that you want if you have to play
- 26:15Speaker 1: like pure coverage, right. He's not a guy who's going
- 26:19Speaker 1: to carry a number three or carry the two vertical
- 26:22Speaker 1: or having to match that or kind of work with that.
- 26:24Speaker 1: So you're you're, on the one hand, your weaponry and
- 26:30Speaker 1: possibility increases for your come forward type of play, but
- 26:34Speaker 1: then the drop aspect, the coverage aspect, that kind of
- 26:37Speaker 1: takes a hit. So you're just kind of adjusting the
- 26:39Speaker 1: sliders a little bit. But I think it's a fair thought,
- 26:41Speaker 1: and I kind of like, I like where your head's at, experimentation,
- 26:45Speaker 1: Why not r J says, or hear me out, we
- 26:51Speaker 1: just we say screw it and give up a first
- 26:52Speaker 1: for Lawrence. I would give up a first Forjexter Lawrence
- 26:54Speaker 1: every single day of the week. I would take that
- 26:56Speaker 1: every single day of the week. Navy says, I don't
- 26:59Speaker 1: see being drafted short armed defensive ends. He tends to
- 27:01Speaker 1: go after elite traits like Rousseau fair but is that
- 27:07Speaker 1: more Was that more of a McDermott thing?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Was that more of a bean thing? Was it a
- 27:11Speaker 3: thing they both aligned on? We don't know.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I think it's a very fair thought and it's something
- 27:15Speaker 1: I wonder myself, even just with them. Again, they needed
- 27:20Speaker 1: somebody at edge, and Chubb makes sense. But it's very
- 27:23Speaker 1: funny that like Chubb is still very much in the
- 27:25Speaker 1: mold of the edges they've gotten before, which is also
- 27:28Speaker 1: is like, is it a coincidence or the edges that
- 27:32Speaker 1: they've been getting that archetype? Was it not all McDermott
- 27:35Speaker 1: And was it a lot of beat or again it
- 27:37Speaker 1: could be just coincidence? Noah, says Darryl Jackson Junior. Absolutely
- 27:42Speaker 1: Brown says the only run to the podium guy will
- 27:45Speaker 1: likely be Casey Conceptio and Kayden is good, but he's
- 27:47Speaker 1: a DT. Cassius Howell is a beast, but if he
- 27:49Speaker 1: succeeds will be an outlier with his arm length.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I think that's fair.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Oh, Charles says, I hope Mesador slides because I'll take
- 27:56Speaker 1: a ready made edge that can play. Right now, I'm very,
- 27:58Speaker 1: very very conflicted on Mesador. I almost don't want him
- 28:05Speaker 1: at all. And I say that as a hurricane guy,
- 28:07Speaker 1: which you know, I'm very torn. John Roberts says, Krista
- 28:10Speaker 1: Miller was brought in. He absolutely was Eric and I
- 28:12Speaker 1: will breaking his tape down tomorrow. I will also be
- 28:14Speaker 1: talking about him later as we go in this episode.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Very good coming here from Navy Seye. We got to
- 28:19Speaker 1: stop assuming, Hey, it will be one hundred percent healthy
- 28:20Speaker 1: with the Achilles. Yea, I've sided a bunch on the episode.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I don't know what he's going to look like, and
- 28:24Speaker 1: it's a big one. Ted Hurst comment, very fair, very fair.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Royce says, I'm thinking it's going to take a couple
- 28:33Speaker 1: of years for Learnard to get the players he actually
- 28:34Speaker 1: needs to run this defense the way he wants. Absolutely,
- 28:36Speaker 1: it was always going to with the lack of draft
- 28:39Speaker 1: capital and financial capital this offseason, it was always going
- 28:42Speaker 1: to be a multi year things. Zesty Smooth says, how
- 28:48Speaker 1: do we feel about Malachi Lawrence? I like Malachi Lawrence.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Let me go to my thing on him.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Eighty seven percentile for the ten yard split, ninety fifth
- 29:00Speaker 1: percent out for his forty ninety six for his ninety
- 29:03Speaker 1: seventh for his broad fifty six in arm length, so
- 29:06Speaker 1: he's juiced up. He's got explosion, he's got good arm length,
- 29:09Speaker 1: he's got good hand usage.
- 29:11Speaker 3: His run defense is awkward, inconsistent from a technique and
- 29:14Speaker 3: assignment standpoint. The effort is there, but he's just awkward
- 29:17Speaker 3: taking on pollers fitting kind of reading. You know, Daven
- 29:22Speaker 3: just using taking out.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Pollars as an example, like he doesn't really commit to
- 29:26Speaker 1: matching them and Stonewallingham as a forced player or wrong
- 29:29Speaker 1: arming him, and that could be some of the coaching
- 29:31Speaker 1: aspects and assignment aspects from UCF. I do think he
- 29:36Speaker 1: is stiff in his lower body. I think he's more
- 29:38Speaker 1: flexible and has a little more bend that he's getting
- 29:40Speaker 1: credit for from like people nationally really good motor. I
- 29:45Speaker 1: think he is more of a linear guy than anything.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I think he's more of a pure kind of like
- 29:48Speaker 1: designated pass rush guy at this point.
- 29:50Speaker 3: In his career, which can work with the Bills.
- 29:53Speaker 1: You've got group to play honorarly downs and on third down,
- 29:58Speaker 1: you've got Bradley Chubb to play early downs and third down.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Hoyt can also do that.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I have no problem getting a guy you think who
- 30:05Speaker 1: can win as a pass rusher and bring some juice
- 30:08Speaker 1: to the room, although I would like a little more
- 30:09Speaker 1: fluidity and bend to the guy. But I like Malachai Lawrence.
- 30:13Speaker 1: If they try, I don't want to take him at
- 30:15Speaker 1: twenty six. If they did, it wouldn't be the end
- 30:18Speaker 1: of the world to me, but I think that would
- 30:19Speaker 1: be high. He's the guy whom I would really hope
- 30:22Speaker 1: would be there at ninety one or if they had
- 30:25Speaker 1: a second round pick. That's where I would have looked
- 30:27Speaker 1: for him.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Somewhere in like.
- 30:29Speaker 1: The fifties to seventies is where it is a prime
- 30:33Speaker 1: Malachi Lawrence like spot for me if I was the Bills. Oh,
- 30:38Speaker 1: good question here, man, aDNA Gillen. You ask like some
- 30:44Speaker 1: of the best questions literally every single week that always
- 30:46Speaker 1: make me think, I like this. The question is, what
- 30:48Speaker 1: is the earliest you would be fine with the Bills
- 30:49Speaker 1: taking the wide receiver given all the needs on defense.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I'm okay if they take a wide receiver in round
- 30:54Speaker 1: one right now. I would prefer it to be round
- 30:59Speaker 1: four if I had my druthers, But I'm okay if
- 31:05Speaker 1: it's round one, mainly if it's Casey conceptsi on. If
- 31:08Speaker 1: it's Casey conceptsy on, I'm cool with that. I don't
- 31:11Speaker 1: hate some of the other guys which we're gonna get
- 31:12Speaker 1: into here. If Jordan Tyson falls, I said it on
- 31:16Speaker 1: social I think last week it'd be hard for me
- 31:18Speaker 1: to turn down Jordan Tyson. But the injuries are such
- 31:21Speaker 1: a huge red flag and problem. But I would be
- 31:24Speaker 1: fine if the Bills took a wide receiver in round one.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I would prefer it to be later, though, given all
- 31:29Speaker 1: the needs on defense.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Exactly how you put it there, Roy, won't. You haven't
- 31:34Speaker 3: done any mock drafts this year. Get it together, Roy,
- 31:37Speaker 3: get it together. Get it together.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Tristan says, I like the idea. A lot of guys
- 31:42Speaker 1: better after a dropdown than I do just sticking and picking.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I completely agree. I completely agree. Again, it'd rather than
- 31:48Speaker 1: reach for a guy, potentially trade back a little and
- 31:51Speaker 1: then be able to just take multiple guys in the
- 31:54Speaker 1: range where they should go. Also, again, you just get
- 31:57Speaker 1: more swings at the plate. Anytime you can give more
- 31:59Speaker 1: swings at the plate, more bites at the apple. I'm
- 32:01Speaker 1: a fan of that, But especially in this draft class
- 32:03Speaker 1: where there's not a lot of blue chip talent, there's
- 32:05Speaker 1: not a lot of difference makers. There's a lot of
- 32:07Speaker 1: usefulness and there's a lot of good rotational value to
- 32:11Speaker 1: kind of verbalize it that way. So I'd rather just
- 32:13Speaker 1: get me a cluster of day two picks and go
- 32:15Speaker 1: from there. Another comment here, question here Arcade McDonald and
- 32:22Speaker 1: Kristen Miller three down nose tackles. No, I think from
- 32:28Speaker 1: a just from like a McDonald's standpoint, I think he
- 32:32Speaker 1: is more of a two down guy.
- 32:34Speaker 3: He's at his best playing the run.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I do think because he has a little bit of
- 32:38Speaker 1: pop and get off on the snap, he can impact
- 32:42Speaker 1: the pocket a little bit like he is a guy
- 32:44Speaker 1: who can drive somebody back and compromise the interior of
- 32:47Speaker 1: the pocket or the depth of the pocket, a little
- 32:49Speaker 1: bit similar to tylerk Williams, but just not to the
- 32:51Speaker 1: level that Tyler did, even though Tyleek was very much
- 32:54Speaker 1: skewed towards run defense last year as well. I just
- 32:57Speaker 1: think the ability to kind of reset the line of
- 32:59Speaker 1: scrimmage play as a pass rusher a bit, But No,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I would see him more as an early down type
- 33:05Speaker 1: of guy, that person who's gonna play first down, second
- 33:08Speaker 1: down type of deal. Miller, I think because he the
- 33:14Speaker 1: defense he played in I think he he's he's comfortable
- 33:19Speaker 1: in more of a movement style. I don't think he's
- 33:22Speaker 1: like a polished pass rush guy, but with how he
- 33:25Speaker 1: plays against the run and handles double teams, and then
- 33:29Speaker 1: you know, and also Kate McDonald's ability or inability at
- 33:32Speaker 1: times they handle double teams as something that is not
- 33:34Speaker 1: talked about enough for how good of a run defender
- 33:36Speaker 1: Kiden McDonald is. His double team tape is like Wonkey
- 33:40Speaker 1: and not great. Miller's is very nice. I think Miller
- 33:45Speaker 1: is closer to being a three down than Caden is,
- 33:49Speaker 1: but I don't think either of them are true like
- 33:51Speaker 1: three down guys.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Neither of them are true like.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Pass rush moves, pass rush plan, got a bag together,
- 33:58Speaker 1: it's more just hey, let's use some quickness, let's get
- 34:00Speaker 1: some movement, let's knock somebody back, let's reset the line
- 34:04Speaker 1: of scrimmage in just various combinations.
- 34:06Speaker 3: For both of them.
- 34:07Speaker 1: A good question, Charles says, I like Chris McClellan Day two. Yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 1: Russell Brown is super huge on Chris McClellan.
- 34:17Speaker 3: I think he's got a Day two grade on him
- 34:18Speaker 3: or a late Day two grade on him.
- 34:20Speaker 1: He's somebody who i'd be more comfortable taking at ninety one,
- 34:23Speaker 1: but he's got.
- 34:24Speaker 3: More of a pass rush bag McClellan is.
- 34:29Speaker 1: McClellan is more of the interior defensive lineman who I
- 34:32Speaker 1: don't love his work against the run, particularly against double teams.
- 34:35Speaker 1: I have in my notes I pulled it up now
- 34:36Speaker 1: like he's good versus bass blocks, so individual blocks, but
- 34:39Speaker 1: his double team play needs work in terms of seeing
- 34:43Speaker 1: double teams in time and then playing them with better
- 34:47Speaker 1: leverage and or technique. He looks to have the strength
- 34:50Speaker 1: to battle, and he has the length with seventy eight
- 34:53Speaker 1: percentile arms, so maybe he can be coached up. But
- 34:56Speaker 1: he's much more of a movement player than he is
- 34:57Speaker 1: a point of attack player. Though he's still ca against
- 35:00Speaker 1: the run, but yeah, he'll get knocked off the.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Ball versus doubles.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Plays a little higher with his pad level than you'd
- 35:06Speaker 1: like to see. He's more of I think of a pass
- 35:09Speaker 1: rush based, movement based guy than he is a point
- 35:11Speaker 1: of attack, displacement mitigator, ass kicker on the interior.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Sean's saying that Jacob Rodriguez has grown on him. Okay,
- 35:24Speaker 3: a lot of fans trading back.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Joey says, would you say Bean is a top ten
- 35:29Speaker 1: GM in the league. I feel like his drafts for
- 35:30Speaker 1: the most part.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Have been good.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Oh, I'd really have to sit back and consider it.
- 35:35Speaker 1: I don't dislike Being, but I definitely don't have a
- 35:37Speaker 1: ton of faith in him. I also don't know which
- 35:39Speaker 1: decisions were really pushed for by McDermott, by Being or both.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I will say I have not been in love with
- 35:46Speaker 1: a lot of their drafts for a very long time
- 35:49Speaker 1: or their free agent classes, and I think that's more
- 35:52Speaker 1: of a reflection on Bean. I don't think he's top
- 35:57Speaker 1: ten off the top of my head intended, I have
- 36:01Speaker 1: to sit and think. I don't think Being his top ten.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I don't think he's bad, but I don't think he's
- 36:04Speaker 1: top ten. Oh Bills fan seventy eight eighty three says
- 36:10Speaker 1: I'd rather Malachi Lawrence A twenty six than Mesadoroo all right,
- 36:16Speaker 1: all right, Charles has a worried about the mezzodor contract
- 36:21Speaker 1: extension six years from now?
- 36:23Speaker 3: Oh, an, is it worth it to trade up for me? No?
- 36:26Speaker 3: I go back?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Then your follow up is like trading up for Malachai
- 36:31Speaker 1: Lemon Or would you'd rather have an edge like Mesador?
- 36:34Speaker 1: I don't hate the idea of a trade up. I
- 36:37Speaker 1: just think they have too many needs and there's not
- 36:41Speaker 1: enough difference makers that are gonna fall for them to
- 36:45Speaker 1: capitalize on and have it be like, oh man, this
- 36:49Speaker 1: was worth the draft capital.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I just don't think it's there.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Like if you told me, and again this is going
- 36:55Speaker 1: to happen because it's too high up, Like if you
- 36:57Speaker 1: told me they could trade up and get Rvel Reese
- 36:59Speaker 1: or Sonny Stuf or Caleb Downs, Yes, cool, trade up
- 37:03Speaker 1: all day, But like even trading up for a receiver
- 37:07Speaker 1: gets me a little too because then so you got
- 37:10Speaker 1: all this money and DJ Moore and you sacrifice the
- 37:13Speaker 1: second round pick to get him, and now you're gonna
- 37:15Speaker 1: use a first round pick on a wide receiver and
- 37:18Speaker 1: you're gonna sacrifice more capital to also get another receiver.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I just had I have trepidation on that for a
- 37:25Speaker 1: receiver in general, but overall, yeah, I would rather not
- 37:30Speaker 1: trade up unless again, somebody really really fell, but I
- 37:34Speaker 1: just don't. I don't see that happening.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Or like if.
- 37:40Speaker 1: If by some chance ruben Bain falls because his arms
- 37:43Speaker 1: are short, I don't care take trade up and get
- 37:46Speaker 1: Ruben ban Like if ruben Bain falls to twenty, trade
- 37:48Speaker 1: up and get Ruben Bank. I don't care. Trade up
- 37:51Speaker 1: and get Ruben Bay. I don't care. Give me Ruben
- 37:53Speaker 1: Bain right now. I don't care. And I know you're
- 37:55Speaker 1: not really gonna drop him ever in the three four stuff.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Maybe well once well, I don't care, get Ruben Bate.
- 37:59Speaker 1: If Ruben eight falls to twenty, trade for Reuben Bain.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't think he's gonna get outside
- 38:04Speaker 1: the fifteen. There's a chance he can get past ten.
- 38:09Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm trying to get as many picks as
- 38:11Speaker 1: possible in this draft class more so than I am
- 38:14Speaker 1: sacrificing more of it to trade up.
- 38:16Speaker 4: That's fair thought, Okay, alright, don don duh And.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Timbo says I had a chance to draft Tyson at
- 38:31Speaker 1: twenty six of my Madden Draft the other night, and
- 38:32Speaker 1: I just couldn't justify it.
- 38:34Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Claude says, I will take a little lesson trade value
- 38:37Speaker 1: to trade out of twenty six if I can get
- 38:38Speaker 1: a late second and a mid third or vice versa. Hell,
- 38:41Speaker 1: if I can get a mid second, early fourth and
- 38:43Speaker 1: the fifth, I'm game twenty six to fifty is about
- 38:46Speaker 1: the same it may seem dramatic to some folks. That
- 38:49Speaker 1: is fair, Like going from twenty six to fifty is
- 38:51Speaker 1: kind of not a crazy jump, even though it might
- 38:54Speaker 1: see it could be. Oh, coach chapbins his trade back
- 38:59Speaker 1: draft chrispers the second and then look to nab Orange
- 39:01Speaker 1: or Corleone and the third or the fourth.
- 39:05Speaker 3: I can't get in.
- 39:06Speaker 1: On the I don't think this is a horrible idea.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I just can't get in on the Tennessee offense. Anybody
- 39:12Speaker 1: from the Tennessee offense. I just can't buy into. Like
- 39:15Speaker 1: it's just it's I hate to use this phrase because
- 39:17Speaker 1: it's you so much now, but like the Mickey Mouse
- 39:19Speaker 1: football aspect and just what they do from a space
- 39:22Speaker 1: standpoint and utilizing the hashes and the routes they run
- 39:26Speaker 1: and what they ask, it just gives me so much
- 39:28Speaker 1: trepidation at the receiver spot. So but again, I recognize
- 39:32Speaker 1: Brazil's traits right and the speed and the ball tracking
- 39:35Speaker 1: and the frame, But man, I don't know.
- 39:39Speaker 3: He could be. Yeah, somebody in the comment just says
- 39:40Speaker 3: the Brazil is different. He could be.
- 39:42Speaker 1: He could be the one to buck the trend. And
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'm not a person who helmet scouts, But man, that tent.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I just think that Tennessee offense man, like I, I
- 39:50Speaker 1: just I just can't get on board until until somebody
- 39:53Speaker 1: shows me that they can be the one to buck
- 39:56Speaker 1: the trend. Like the best receiver that's come out of
- 39:59Speaker 1: there is has been Cedric Tillman, who's not a bad player,
- 40:05Speaker 1: and you could tell him he looked different, like he
- 40:07Speaker 1: was more of a true X already at Tennessee, and
- 40:09Speaker 1: the way they used him, you could see there projecting more.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Those guys just scare scare me. The Tennessee offense scares me.
- 40:16Speaker 1: The skill position of the Tennessee offense offensive line cool.
- 40:19Speaker 1: I was huge on Darnault right a couple of years ago.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'm cooling the offensive line, but like the running backs
- 40:25Speaker 1: and the wide receivers on Chap says, YEA watched Brazil.
- 40:29Speaker 1: He's a different dude in their offense is a little
- 40:30Speaker 1: different this year.
- 40:31Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I've only watched him in passing, like as I've watched
- 40:34Speaker 1: teams that have played the Tennessee offense. So like watching
- 40:38Speaker 1: Georgia play against Tennessee and other guys that I'm scouting,
- 40:41Speaker 1: and then seeing Brazil do some stuff he had a
- 40:43Speaker 1: really nice rep that I remember making note of against Georgia,
- 40:47Speaker 1: where he ran like a real route, good deception into stem,
- 40:50Speaker 1: good transition from stem to break.
- 40:53Speaker 3: But yeah, that's fair.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I definitely have not given him or the Tennessee offense
- 40:56Speaker 1: a chance just because I'm attaching it to like, oh,
- 40:59Speaker 1: ten offense.
- 41:00Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I can't do it, But that's fair. I'll give him
- 41:03Speaker 1: a check, I'll give him, I'll give him a look.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Sie.
- 41:05Speaker 1: That's a fair point on this comment here. Yes, Sports
- 41:08Speaker 1: Talk with you just alive at being trays back twice.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Derek says, I'd rather take Chris Bell and wait on him.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I wanted to like Bell more than I did. I'm
- 41:18Speaker 1: not out on Bell, but I didn't like him as
- 41:21Speaker 1: much as I did. Bill's fan seventy eighty three says
- 41:24Speaker 1: peerless Price. Yeah, well, back when Tennessee's offense is completely different.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Now Josh Wipel is running this just crazy, just Mickey
- 41:33Speaker 1: Mouse based offense in Tennessee is how I'll put it.
- 41:35Speaker 3: But I recognize that there are traits and plenty of
- 41:38Speaker 3: people available.
- 41:39Speaker 1: There really good conversation everybody in the chat. Continue to
- 41:44Speaker 1: put your thoughts, questions, comments, concerns everything into the chat.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Let's start to dive into the segments here that I
- 41:49Speaker 1: got everything prepped out. It's always I say this every time,
- 41:51Speaker 1: but I feel like that the Knights that chat is
- 41:54Speaker 1: so engaging. I just want I just kind of want
- 41:55Speaker 1: to sit back and run with the chat instead of
- 41:57Speaker 1: actually doing anything that I have planned. Because the folks
- 42:01Speaker 1: make everything so fun in the back and forth with
- 42:02Speaker 1: each other and myself, it's really great.
- 42:05Speaker 3: I appreciate that. But let's dive into the trade back situation.
- 42:09Speaker 3: So I talked about it before.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I'm going to map out a multitude of specific trade
- 42:14Speaker 1: back ideas using the Jimmy Johnson trade value chart. I
- 42:18Speaker 1: know there's some others that are in existence. Now I'm
- 42:22Speaker 1: using the Jimmy Johnson one because I still think a
- 42:24Speaker 1: good chunk of teams in the league subscribe to it,
- 42:27Speaker 1: and it's still a good like it's close to apples
- 42:30Speaker 1: to apples to a degree with how teams are going
- 42:32Speaker 1: to use it and what they're gonna use. So that's
- 42:34Speaker 1: my baseline chart. If you don't like the Jimmy Johnson
- 42:37Speaker 1: chart anymore, that's fine. If you subscribe to another one,
- 42:40Speaker 1: that's fine, But that is what I'm using for this
- 42:44Speaker 1: exercise here. Again, I prefer trade back at pick twenty six.
- 42:49Speaker 1: If I had, you know, my way, I'd ideally like
- 42:52Speaker 1: as many picks in the first three rounds as possible
- 42:56Speaker 1: for myself my individual grading. Oh, I don't know how
- 43:00Speaker 1: many dudes I'm at now, I'm at round I didn't
- 43:04Speaker 1: think I was going to get to a top like
- 43:05Speaker 1: one p fifty this year, and I still might not.
- 43:07Speaker 3: I'm at around.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Like ninety ish, I'm getting close to a top one hundred,
- 43:12Speaker 1: But I have a bunch of like from a round
- 43:14Speaker 1: grading perspective, I have a bunch of like two and
- 43:16Speaker 1: a half to three and a half grades, and a
- 43:18Speaker 1: bunch of those dudes are gonna spill into the second round.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Some of those guys might even spill into the back
- 43:24Speaker 1: end of the first depending on need and just how
- 43:26Speaker 1: this class is. Like, there's just a lot of again,
- 43:29Speaker 1: a lot of usefulness in this class. So staying at
- 43:33Speaker 1: twenty six again unless someone worthwhile drops to me, isn't
- 43:37Speaker 1: the same value you know, picking in the first round
- 43:39Speaker 1: as it may be in other years where I know, again,
- 43:42Speaker 1: like at the back end of round one, you're usually
- 43:44Speaker 1: getting guys with a round two grade, because not everybody
- 43:47Speaker 1: in the first round has a first round grade.
- 43:49Speaker 3: We know that year after year.
- 43:52Speaker 1: But I just don't think that picking in the back
- 43:54Speaker 1: end of round one head necessarily holds the same value
- 43:57Speaker 1: this year as it does in other draft classes. Now yea,
- 44:00Speaker 1: and that it might also hurt with the opportunity to
- 44:02Speaker 1: kind of trade back because other teams might feel that way,
- 44:04Speaker 1: but you never know. Again, there's a bunch of useful
- 44:08Speaker 1: guys in this draft and the different maker. The difference
- 44:11Speaker 1: makers in this draft are fewer and farther in between,
- 44:14Speaker 1: so one of them falling to twenty six just isn't
- 44:17Speaker 1: too likely for me. Like I think the biggest difference
- 44:19Speaker 1: maker right now that could fall to twenty six would
- 44:21Speaker 1: be Jordan Tyson, and the reason he may fall is
- 44:25Speaker 1: because his injury history is super scary and super worrisome. Again,
- 44:31Speaker 1: that doesn't mean if the Bills stay at twenty six
- 44:33Speaker 1: they can't get someone useful or good. But this year,
- 44:36Speaker 1: I prefer as many swings at the play as possible,
- 44:39Speaker 1: especially between rounds one and three, or especially on Day two.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Given this draft class, given the Bills roster makeup, and
- 44:46Speaker 1: given what the Bills need across the board. The Bill's
- 44:49Speaker 1: draft picks in this draft, in case you did not know,
- 44:53Speaker 1: pick twenty six, pick ninety one, pick one twenty six,
- 44:57Speaker 1: pick one sixty five, one sixty eight, and pick one
- 45:01Speaker 1: eighty two. For those of you playing at home from
- 45:04Speaker 1: a round perspective, that is, pick twenty six in round one.
- 45:10Speaker 1: No second round pick for the Bills because they essentially
- 45:12Speaker 1: use that for DJ Moore. Pick ninety one is in
- 45:14Speaker 1: round three, pick one twenty six is in round four,
- 45:18Speaker 1: picks one sixty five and one sixty eight or round five,
- 45:21Speaker 1: Pick one eighty two is in round six, and pick
- 45:24Speaker 1: two twenty is in round seven. So to really aggregate it,
- 45:27Speaker 1: one pick in round one, nothing in round two, one
- 45:30Speaker 1: in round three, one in round four, two kind of
- 45:33Speaker 1: in the middle to the back middle of round five,
- 45:36Speaker 1: one in six, and one in seven. Now I have one, two, three, four, five.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I have six trade partner trade back scenarios to go over.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I have a couple that are my favorite, but kind
- 45:53Speaker 1: of wanted to lay it out, so again using the
- 45:55Speaker 1: Jimmy Johnson trade value chart, where essentially it assigns numerical
- 45:59Speaker 1: value to each pick in each round. So pick twenty six,
- 46:04Speaker 1: for the Buffalo Bills. Is the easiest thing to keep
- 46:06Speaker 1: in mind, is your baseline. Pick twenty six for the
- 46:09Speaker 1: Bills is worth seven hundred points. Okay, Pick twenty six
- 46:13Speaker 1: is worth seven hundred. Pick ninety one is worth one
- 46:16Speaker 1: hundred and thirty six. Pick one twenty six is worth
- 46:18Speaker 1: forty six. One sixty five is worth twenty five point four,
- 46:21Speaker 1: one sixty eight is worth twenty four point two, one
- 46:24Speaker 1: eighty two is worth eighteen point two, and then pick
- 46:27Speaker 1: two twenty is worth two point six. First trade scenario
- 46:32Speaker 1: that I have here is and again this is just
- 46:35Speaker 1: talking pure value. When we get into the actual like
- 46:38Speaker 1: contextual aspects of these teams, it's like, okay, with these teams,
- 46:42Speaker 1: wouldn't they rather just keep their draft capital if they're
- 46:45Speaker 1: in a rebuilding stage when they want as many swings
- 46:47Speaker 1: at the plate or as many bikes as the apple
- 46:49Speaker 1: as possible, and or if they see this draft class
- 46:53Speaker 1: the way I do, teams might not want a trade
- 46:56Speaker 1: up because they might want to just sit and collect
- 46:59Speaker 1: as many opportunities as possible.
- 47:00Speaker 3: So there's a whole.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Bunch of Devil's Advocate scenarios you can make and contextual
- 47:05Speaker 1: pieces that we can layer in for the conversation. But
- 47:10Speaker 1: these are scenarios I have laid out that work or
- 47:12Speaker 1: are close from a trade value standpoint, and I think
- 47:14Speaker 1: have some semblance of realism to them. The first one
- 47:17Speaker 1: is the Cleveland Browns, so they have pick thirty nine. Again,
- 47:22Speaker 1: they have more picks than this, but pick thirty nine,
- 47:24Speaker 1: which is worth five hundred and ten points, and then
- 47:27Speaker 1: pick seventy, which is worth two hundred and forty points,
- 47:31Speaker 1: So those two together would be seven hundred and fifty
- 47:35Speaker 1: points for the Cleveland Browns. Pick twenty six again is
- 47:38Speaker 1: worth seven hundred. So the Bills could add pick one
- 47:41Speaker 1: twenty six into that mix, which again pick one twenty
- 47:44Speaker 1: six is worth forty six points, so you would have
- 47:46Speaker 1: seven hundred and fifty trade value points for the Browns,
- 47:50Speaker 1: seven hundred and forty six for the Bills, near even,
- 47:54Speaker 1: or add something lower to potentially kind of split the gap. That,
- 47:58Speaker 1: of course would be a two for two. Who knows.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Maybe the Browns are feeling crazy they love somebody at
- 48:02Speaker 1: twenty six and they're willing to give you pick thirty
- 48:05Speaker 1: nine and pick seventy for pick twenty six. I would
- 48:08Speaker 1: kill for that right now. If you could tell me,
- 48:11Speaker 1: the Bills could get picked thirty nine and pick seventy
- 48:13Speaker 1: for trade for pick twenty six. I take it in
- 48:16Speaker 1: a heartbeat. I don't think that's necessarily going to happen,
- 48:19Speaker 1: even though fifty points isn't a huge difference in the
- 48:22Speaker 1: trade value there for thirty nine and seventy versus pick
- 48:25Speaker 1: twenty six. But most likely that's a two for two
- 48:28Speaker 1: type of swap, two picks from the Bills going to
- 48:31Speaker 1: two picks for the Browns. The Bills give up the
- 48:34Speaker 1: earliest pick and the latest pick, and they get two
- 48:37Speaker 1: in the middle and essentially give themselves, you know, a
- 48:40Speaker 1: better bite at the apple because they're trading a later
- 48:43Speaker 1: pick for an earlier one and not moving back too
- 48:45Speaker 1: far from pick twenty six. Second scenario I have laid
- 48:51Speaker 1: out here is with the Tennessee Titans. This one is
- 48:55Speaker 1: one of my more favorite ones based on what would
- 49:00Speaker 1: should be given up. So Tennessee Titans, they have pick
- 49:03Speaker 1: thirty five, which is worth five hundred and fifty points,
- 49:07Speaker 1: and they also have pick one oh one, which is
- 49:10Speaker 1: worth ninety six points. That pick one oh one would
- 49:14Speaker 1: be the first pick in round four, So I know
- 49:18Speaker 1: I want as many Day two picks as possible, but
- 49:20Speaker 1: if I can get the first pick in round four,
- 49:22Speaker 1: that's still decently close to me, and I'm fine with that.
- 49:26Speaker 1: So the thought here would be Tennessee pick thirty five,
- 49:29Speaker 1: which is worth five point fifty and pick one oh one,
- 49:32Speaker 1: which is worth ninety six points. That would be six
- 49:35Speaker 1: hundred and forty six trade value points for the Titans
- 49:38Speaker 1: versus the seven hundred points that pick twenty six is worth.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Titans also have a second round pick at number sixty six,
- 49:46Speaker 1: so sacrificing one oh one might not.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Be terrible for them.
- 49:51Speaker 1: They could also add a round five pick to split
- 49:54Speaker 1: the difference, kind of matching things up from their standpoint,
- 49:58Speaker 1: maybe you know, adding things up because again the six
- 50:00Speaker 1: hundred and forty six versus the seven hundred points on
- 50:02Speaker 1: the trade value chart. But this one is more of
- 50:05Speaker 1: an ideal scenario for me, because the Bills acquire capital
- 50:09Speaker 1: draft capital and don't have to give up additional picks.
- 50:12Speaker 1: In an ideal world, I'd love a two for one
- 50:14Speaker 1: where the Bills are giving up pick twenty six and
- 50:16Speaker 1: they're getting two picks in return. I'm not against a
- 50:19Speaker 1: two for two, right, So pick pick twenty six and
- 50:23Speaker 1: pick something else for pick whatever and pick whatever from
- 50:27Speaker 1: another team. I'm not against a two for two, but
- 50:30Speaker 1: I would prefer a two for one. So that's an
- 50:34Speaker 1: ideal one for me, just because I think it has
- 50:36Speaker 1: some semblance of realism to it.
- 50:38Speaker 3: The Titans would give up pick thirty five and pick
- 50:40Speaker 3: one oh one for pick twenty six for the Bills.
- 50:43Speaker 1: So you are moving back nine spots from your first
- 50:47Speaker 1: pick where you currently stand right now, and you get
- 50:51Speaker 1: the first pick in round four.
- 50:53Speaker 3: I would sign up for that.
- 50:54Speaker 1: And again, if we're going off pure trade chart, you know,
- 50:56Speaker 1: the Bills come out giving up more trade value points here.
- 50:59Speaker 1: So maybe the Titans add another pick on top of
- 51:01Speaker 1: this and on day three, which I would take. So
- 51:05Speaker 1: that was scenario two. Third scenario here, Houston Texans, they
- 51:10Speaker 1: have they have a good amount of early capital, but
- 51:14Speaker 1: pick thirty eight for them, which is worth five hundred
- 51:17Speaker 1: and twenty points, and pick sixty nine for them, which
- 51:20Speaker 1: is worth two hundred and forty five points. That would
- 51:23Speaker 1: come out to seven hundred and sixty five trade value
- 51:25Speaker 1: points for the Texans seven hundred for the Bills. But
- 51:28Speaker 1: again similar to the Cleveland conversation, the Bills could add
- 51:31Speaker 1: pick one twenty six, which would close that gap from
- 51:34Speaker 1: seven sixty five ver seven hundred to seven sixty five
- 51:37Speaker 1: versus seven forty six, get a little closer again. I
- 51:41Speaker 1: would do that one, even though it's a like for
- 51:44Speaker 1: if it's a two for two, you know you're going
- 51:46Speaker 1: from twenty six to thirty eight, and then you're also
- 51:51Speaker 1: getting picked sixty nine. I would take three. Then you'd
- 51:54Speaker 1: have three picks in the top ninety. I would take that,
- 51:57Speaker 1: similar to the Cleveland Browns move, which is, you know,
- 52:00Speaker 1: pick thirty nine and pick seventy, so decently close there
- 52:04Speaker 1: between those two. Another one I think somebody mentioned this
- 52:08Speaker 1: in the chat earlier.
- 52:09Speaker 3: Who said it? Who said it? Who said it? Who
- 52:11Speaker 3: said it?
- 52:12Speaker 1: Bye bye ah TCMP seven one six said trade back
- 52:15Speaker 1: with Arizona. That is the next one we have on
- 52:17Speaker 1: the docket. And another one I really like. So the Cardinals, again,
- 52:21Speaker 1: they have a bunch of capital that fits with the bills.
- 52:24Speaker 1: They have pick thirty four, which is worth five hundred
- 52:27Speaker 1: and sixty points, and then they have pick one oh four,
- 52:31Speaker 1: So pick one oh four would be the fourth pick
- 52:35Speaker 1: in the fourth round, so early day three, early fourth round,
- 52:40Speaker 1: and that total value of pick thirty four and pick
- 52:43Speaker 1: one oh four would come out to six hundred and
- 52:45Speaker 1: forty six points for Arizona, very similar to the Tennessee
- 52:47Speaker 1: deal that we talked about. That will be six hundred
- 52:50Speaker 1: and forty six points from Aras for Arizona versus the
- 52:52Speaker 1: seven hundred for Buffalo that pick twenty six represents. They
- 52:56Speaker 1: also have pick sixty five, which is worth two hundred
- 53:00Speaker 1: sixty five points, So this could be another two for
- 53:03Speaker 1: two for two where maybe they do thirty four and
- 53:05Speaker 1: sixty five, which totals to eight hundred and twenty five
- 53:09Speaker 1: trade value points for the bills twenty six and ninety one,
- 53:12Speaker 1: which is eight hundred and thirty six points. The Bills
- 53:14Speaker 1: still pay a little more, but you move back slightly
- 53:18Speaker 1: in you know, your earliest pick. You move from twenty
- 53:21Speaker 1: six to thirty four, but then you get to jump
- 53:23Speaker 1: from ninety one to sixty five. You still have that
- 53:26Speaker 1: big gap though between sixty five and one twenty six. Well, again,
- 53:30Speaker 1: that's why I do prefer more of let's move back
- 53:34Speaker 1: into the early to mid thirties and then grab a
- 53:36Speaker 1: late three or in early four while we're at it.
- 53:38Speaker 1: I also think again that's kind of the most realistic Avenue,
- 53:41Speaker 1: potentially the Minnesota Vikings. This one is more wild than anything,
- 53:46Speaker 1: but I figure put it out there from a value
- 53:48Speaker 1: perspective because it's really close. This one essentially wipe out
- 53:52Speaker 1: the Vikings draft capital largely, so I don't think it's likely,
- 53:56Speaker 1: but the Vikings could give you forty nine, eight two
- 54:01Speaker 1: and ninety seven, so you would get a good chunk
- 54:04Speaker 1: of Day two stuff. You would get a second round
- 54:08Speaker 1: pick from the Minnesota Vikings. You would get as I
- 54:13Speaker 1: go back to my notes here, you would get a
- 54:15Speaker 1: second round pick from Minnesota, and you would get two
- 54:18Speaker 1: third round picks from Minnesota. So that would then give
- 54:21Speaker 1: you four picks. Kind of the conversation that we had earlier.
- 54:24Speaker 1: This would then give you four picks in the top ninety.
- 54:29Speaker 1: The Bills would then have you know, essentially forty nine
- 54:31Speaker 1: eighty two, ninety one, and ninety seven. Those three picks
- 54:36Speaker 1: that the Vikings would give up forty nine, eighty two
- 54:38Speaker 1: and ninety seven that has a seven hundred and two
- 54:41Speaker 1: trade value. And again pick twenty six for the Bills
- 54:44Speaker 1: is seven hundred, so almost an identical amount of capital
- 54:48Speaker 1: and value on the Jimmy Johnson chart. But again it
- 54:50Speaker 1: would largely wipe out Minnesota's draft capital. But you know,
- 54:54Speaker 1: if they're the Bills, if you're the Bills, they would
- 54:58Speaker 1: pick up two extra Day two picks to you know,
- 55:01Speaker 1: kind of move them along further a little bit and
- 55:04Speaker 1: give them three picks in the top you know, give
- 55:06Speaker 1: them additional picks in the top one hundred, and then
- 55:09Speaker 1: you'd have four kind of good chunk picks on day
- 55:15Speaker 1: day two for you where you would have pick forty
- 55:16Speaker 1: nine in round two, but you're dropping from twenty six
- 55:19Speaker 1: to forty nine, Like your first pick in the draft
- 55:21Speaker 1: is pick forty nine, but again you're adding pick eighty two.
- 55:26Speaker 1: You still have your pick at ninety one, and then
- 55:28Speaker 1: you also get to pick again at ninety seven, so
- 55:30Speaker 1: you drop in round one, but then you end up
- 55:32Speaker 1: with four Day two picks, which is something.
- 55:34Speaker 3: That I like.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Last one that I have here that matches up well,
- 55:41Speaker 1: it's with the Chiefs, which I know how people feel
- 55:43Speaker 1: about that.
- 55:44Speaker 3: The Chiefs have a bunch of good draft capital in
- 55:46Speaker 3: this class.
- 55:47Speaker 1: They have pick forty which is worth five hundred points,
- 55:50Speaker 1: and pick seventy four, which is two hundred and twenty.
- 55:54Speaker 1: You could do that for pick twenty six, so that
- 55:56Speaker 1: will come out to seven hundred and twenty points versus
- 55:59Speaker 1: seven hundred for pick twenty six.
- 56:01Speaker 3: For the Bills.
- 56:01Speaker 1: The Chiefs have two first round picks, so maybe they
- 56:04Speaker 1: just want to stand pat and collect the board as
- 56:07Speaker 1: it falls, or maybe they want to use some of
- 56:10Speaker 1: that capital to grab three first rounders. And even if
- 56:13Speaker 1: the if the Chiefs traded pick forty and pick seventy four,
- 56:16Speaker 1: they still have pick one on nine, so they're not
- 56:19Speaker 1: like exhausting their middle round opportunities either, And then that
- 56:23Speaker 1: would make the Bills first pick in the draft be
- 56:25Speaker 1: pick forty, so you're moving from twenty six to forty.
- 56:28Speaker 1: You're picking up seventy four. Then you get pick forty,
- 56:31Speaker 1: seventy four and ninety one, so you get an extra
- 56:33Speaker 1: day to pick right in the middle, kind of splitting
- 56:35Speaker 1: that difference versus kind of where your first pick is
- 56:39Speaker 1: and your third pick is there, so you get now
- 56:42Speaker 1: you have a second round pick. Now you have a
- 56:44Speaker 1: third round pick, well, two third round picks, just kind
- 56:48Speaker 1: of an early early mid or late early third round
- 56:53Speaker 1: pick A picks seventy four there, and then you're still
- 56:55Speaker 1: sitting there at pick ninety one. So those are the
- 56:59Speaker 1: ones that I think are more most likely. Again, a
- 57:00Speaker 1: lot of talk of trade backs, and they would be great,
- 57:04Speaker 1: it would be ideal, it would be great, it would
- 57:05Speaker 1: be ideal, all that conversation, but I wanted to map
- 57:07Speaker 1: out what a lot of it would look like, and
- 57:11Speaker 1: so that's where we are here. So the Cleveland Browns,
- 57:13Speaker 1: the Tennessee Titans, the Houston Texans, the Arizona Cardinals, the
- 57:17Speaker 1: Minnesota Vikings, and the Kansas City Chiefs. So one, two, three, four, five,
- 57:22Speaker 1: six potential options and trade back partners. My favorite, again,
- 57:26Speaker 1: just from a simplicity standpoint and not muddying the waters
- 57:31Speaker 1: and trying to keep it realistic, I think the most
- 57:33Speaker 1: likely ones are Tennessee or Arizona.
- 57:36Speaker 3: You know Tennessee.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Again, the Bills trade pick twenty six, they get picked
- 57:40Speaker 1: thirty five and pick.
- 57:42Speaker 3: One on one. Pick one on one is the first
- 57:44Speaker 3: pick in the fourth round. The value is closed.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Technically the Bills are giving up more value, but you're
- 57:49Speaker 1: only moving back nine picks on with your first pick,
- 57:53Speaker 1: and then you're picking up in early fourth round. And
- 57:55Speaker 1: then the Cardinals similar deal, pick thirty four and pick
- 57:59Speaker 1: one oh FO four. Pick one oh four is the
- 58:01Speaker 1: fourth pick in round four. Trade value is the same again, ironically,
- 58:05Speaker 1: six hundred and forty six for the Cardinals, seven hundred
- 58:08Speaker 1: for the Bills. Again, maybe there is some splitting. An
- 58:11Speaker 1: opportunity to do or two for two swap with Arizona
- 58:13Speaker 1: also exists, similar to kind of the Titans as well.
- 58:19Speaker 3: You could also get the Titans.
- 58:20Speaker 1: To add a third pick into the mix if you
- 58:22Speaker 1: really wanted to Sweeteney, you get the Titans to give
- 58:24Speaker 1: you pick thirty five, pick one on one and then
- 58:26Speaker 1: maybe a fifth rounder to close that value gap even more.
- 58:30Speaker 3: But those would be my options. Where you're giving up
- 58:32Speaker 3: twenty six, you're getting two picks or three picks.
- 58:36Speaker 1: In return and increasing your capital, and then who knows,
- 58:39Speaker 1: maybe get a little frisky, Maybe you try to trade,
- 58:41Speaker 1: Maybe you try to trade up. I saw somebody who
- 58:44Speaker 1: asked flash movie trivia and the comments said, could we
- 58:46Speaker 1: trade a player on Draft night? Absolutely? Maybe you trade
- 58:50Speaker 1: somebody on the team and you pick up a fourth
- 58:52Speaker 1: or you pick up a third. I think it'll be
- 58:55Speaker 1: interesting to kind of see.
- 58:58Speaker 3: What you kind of get.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Oh jan Sports said, has trade that twenty six pick
- 59:01Speaker 1: of Cyrus Torrance and a first rounder, uh oh and
- 59:07Speaker 1: for twenty seven for Lawrence oh ah man, I would
- 59:10Speaker 1: I mean, I would take give me Dester.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Lawrence in a heartbeat this question here. And you talked
- 59:15Speaker 3: about ideal trade partners.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Who would you be terrified to see the Bills are
- 59:18Speaker 1: trading with uh come across the screen on Draft Day.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I don't know about terrified, but if if I saw,
- 59:25Speaker 1: like if if I saw a rival or somebody who
- 59:28Speaker 1: is good or a threat in the AFC, I wouldn't
- 59:31Speaker 1: like that. Like, I know you're helping yourself, but I
- 59:33Speaker 1: also don't want to help an enemy. So like I
- 59:35Speaker 1: don't want to trade with Baltimore. I don't want to
- 59:37Speaker 1: trade with Kansas City. I don't want to trade with
- 59:39Speaker 1: the Patriots. Miami wouldn't do a.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Deal for Wattle.
- 59:43Speaker 1: They can kick Rocks for forever. I'm not trading with Miami.
- 59:46Speaker 1: I'm not trading with Denver. I'm not trading with Jacksonville
- 59:49Speaker 1: pretty much anybody in the AFC. I don't want to
- 59:50Speaker 1: trade with anybody in the AFC. The NFC is game,
- 59:55Speaker 1: but I'll think I'm cool with trading with clevelandcause they're
- 59:57Speaker 1: dumpster fire.
- 59:58Speaker 3: Tennessee is in like Big Ti.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I'm rebuild mode, so I don't mind doing that Houston
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: is going to be sweet regardless, so I don't mind
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: kind of stoking that flame a little bit. But yeah,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: part of the reason why I prefer the Tennessee and
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the Arizona trades are one, Arizona is in the NFC two,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: the Titans are definitely rebuilding, and we have to see
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: what that rebuild even looks like. And again it's still
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: helping out the Bills. Really good question, but yeah, So
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: my ideal scenario is you're trading twenty six and you're
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: picking up two or three picks for that I want
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to add capital.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: I don't mind doing.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: A two for two if it nets the Bills, you know,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: more Day two picks or they get to move up
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a little bit. But I'm just trying to acquire more
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: capital in this draft class and ideally have it be
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Day two picks, which is round two and round three picks.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: And I'm also not opposed to the trade back aspect. Right,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: they could and that's where I didn't even get to, right, like,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: we the Bills could trade back with Tennessee and trade
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: back to pick thirty five, or trade back with with
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Arizona and trade to pick thirty four. But then you
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: could flip thirty four for forty or whatever, like all
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: these kind of domino.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Effects and stack and stack.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: So you trade back from twenty six, but then use
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: that trade back capital to trade back again, So you're
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: moving from the mid thirties to the earlier mid forties,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: but you're picking up now You've got four day two picks,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: and I would be a fan of that as well.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I'm not opposed to that. That's just a lot of
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: wheeling dealing. That's just tough to kind of make that
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: happen again. It takes two to tango.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: You need a dance.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Partner, So finding one dance partner to trade back from
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: twenty six with is hard enough. Finding another dance partner
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to trade back again to acquire more day two capital.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: That's tough in any year, let alone this year with
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: the draft class and how it kind of shakes out.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: But those would be the trade back partners at twenty
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: six that I'm looking at overall, and then my two
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: favorites that I've kind of highlighted and pointed out.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Now let's switch topics.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Similar topic here, but let's say we're sitting and making
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: a selection at pick twenty six. Either the bills don't
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: want to trade back or they have tried to trade back.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: And nobody wants to dance, nobody wants to play. I'm
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: just gonna kind of go in order. I don't have
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: them ranked in order of what I would do. I
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: just have them listed of kind of like names.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: And some of this are names that I'm seeing rumored
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and attached to them. Some of these are guys that
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I like just in general. We talked about Caid McDonald earlier,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: defensive tackle from Ohio State. I would not be distraught
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: if Caid McDonald is to pick here at twenty six.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Run defense is what's gonna set everything from the ground up,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: no pun intended. Jim Leonard has talked about it, other
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: folks have talked about it, and I've said it for
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: years on the show. Right, Like, I understand, you still
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: have to stop the pass, and I understand the advanced
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: metrics and you know all that you're trying to stop
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: explosives and cap explosives blah blah blah, But in order
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: to get there, you still have to be sound against
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: the run. And how you defend the run determines your
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: coverage structures on the back end, and you can be
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: middling against the run, you just can't be deficient, and
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: the Bills have been deficient for the past several years.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Although I know the advanced metrics didn't speak to that
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four, but I think the tape did,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and how they defended the run did. I do think
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Jim Leonard's scheme and structure and philosophy and identity defensively
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: automatically gives them, you know, some a boost an xp are,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: a boost in some of their traits, kind of building
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: from like an RPG perspective, like they get a couple
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: like boost points for their run defense just because of
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: how he's going to approach it and how important it
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: is to him.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: But I do think.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Stopping the run is extremely important. I do think getting
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: a true nose tackle in this defense is extremely important
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: because I do think it is a force multiplier for
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: other guys on the defense, like Dion Walker, like guys
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: at the second level to rel Bernard, whatever other linebackers
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: they have there, but especially to Robernard. I do think
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: a true nose and a good nose and a good
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: early down player is a force multiplier for the rest
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: of this defense. Individual players and the defense in totality,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I do recognize that taking more of a two down
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: guy in the first round isn't necessarily the best value,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and I think that's fine, But I would be okay
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: if they took Kid McDonald the twenty six. I do
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: think he's a good run defender. As I mentioned earlier
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and alluded to earlier, his play against double teams could
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: be better and is something that I just I guess
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I just expected it to be better. To kind of
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: go into some of his metrics here, twenty percentile for
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: arm length at thirty two and a quarter inch arms.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I think he's good recognizing down blocks and being able
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: to work over the top or stone wall them or
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: meet them. He's a block eater and a space eater,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: but he does have a little pop to him. He's
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: very nose tackle or one tech capable bunch of nose
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: tackle reps versus Indiana that was the I watched of
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: his this year. I would like to see him drop
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the knee more, slash, recognize double teams faster, and anchor.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: He can ricochet, slash snap back into position, but I
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: would like him to mitigate that initial movement and.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Not rely on his upper half so much.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I would like him to use more of his lower
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: body to kind of displace that where dispurse the weight
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: in the force throughout his body and not just try
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and use his upper body strength. He's a strong dude,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: but not just trying to use arms and shoulders to
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: defeat everything and torque and move. He resets the line
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: of scrimmage. He learns as games go on. He understands
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: what offensive lines are doing, what schemes they're running, and
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: then as the games go on, his eyes start to
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: go right to where they need to be on the
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: snap based on what he's seen before, based on the
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: schemes and concepts that have been thrown his way. I
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: did have TYLERK Williams higher than him, like they were
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: in the same class. I would take TYLERK Williams ahead
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: of Kate McDonald.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Again.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: He is mainly a run defender, a space eater, and
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: ask kicker up front. I would like to see him
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: perform better against double teams. I do think he has
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a little pop and can knock back some guys a
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: little bit and compromise the depth of the interior of
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: the pocket on pass rushing snaps. But he's not really
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: a pass rush interior defender. He's not a guy with
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: a ton of moves or a bag or a pass
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: rush plan. He is very much skewed towards the run
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: defense side of things.
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: On Bump Bump, Next on my list.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: That would be I would be hopeful if I clicked
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: the right page. Kristin Miller defensive tackle from Jeojia, who
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I think just had a top thirty visit today or
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: recently with the Buffaloes when the news came out recently
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: for it, I saw it from I forget who tweeted out.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I think Aaron Wilson tweeted out with a bunch of
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: teams that he'd visited or something like that.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Six foot three and three quarters three hundred and twenty
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: one pounds.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Oh, I should have mentioned that for Kid McDonald as well. Right,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Caid McDonald six two, three hundred and twenty six pounds.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Kristin Miller sixty three and three quarters three hundred and
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: twenty one pounds, forty third percentile arms, fifty fourth percentile
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: hand size, so he's got much better arm length than
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Caiden McDonald. Does really great at getting under interior offensive
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: lineman and extending good hand placement.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: And pop.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: He extends his arms, reads and sheds, almost like rinse
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: and repeat. He's better at double teams than Kaid McDonald is.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: He'll drop the knee and or reduce his surface area
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: versus double teams. He sees them coming and or anticipates
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: them and responds. He plays a really good gap and
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: a half technique. He wrenches offensive lineman back with a
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: long arm versus the run. He'll pop them right in
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: that neck line or under the chin and just absolutely
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: torque guys, wrench guys back. It's really beautiful to see
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: and violent. Yeah, it gets the hand right in that
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: neckline and chin and drives him up. I think he
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: can be a movement player or a point of attack player.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Both are above average. I like him as a point
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: of attack guy, especially versus doubles. I don't think he
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: has a pass, rush bag or plan similar to kind
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: of Cad McDonald, but I do think he is capable
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: of more movement. He's got a little similar to Kate McDonald,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: just a little bit more. I think the sliders are
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: turned up a little bit from a juice or a
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: penetration perspective, but I do think he's more run defense
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: George's defense also does a whole bunch of like games
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and assignment stuff. So you got to watch a lot
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: of Georgia tape to kind of see how he works
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: and how their front works, Like he's looping and there
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: he's doing contained pressure stuff and they have all that
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Kirby Smart is trying to get into all these designer
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: packages and defensive stuff that they're doing up front. I
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: would also be okay with Kristin Miller at pick twenty six,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: both in an ideal world, if we're talking like interior defenders, right,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: both Miller and McDonald, I would prefer like those are
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: the guys where like if I'm trading back to pick
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: thirty five or pick you know with Tennessee or pick
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: thirty four with Arizona, I'm to try and I'm hoping
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: that Kaid McDonald or Krista Miller is there at thirty
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: four or someone else is great, and then I've added
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: more day two capital and I can get Darryl Jackson,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: or I can get Dominique Orange, or I can get
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Chris McClellan on day three or maybe potentially late you know,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: day two, something like that. But I would be okay
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: with Kristin Miller being a pick at pick twenty six. Again,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: all of these I'm gonna keep saying this, and I
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: don't want to sound like down I'm not being pessimistic.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: There's a lot of guys I would be okay with it.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Pick twenty six.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: There's nobody who I'm like, Oh, I would love this
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: guy if he's at pick twenty six.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: It's just not the year for that.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: There's a lot of guys who I'd be fine with.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: And I don't mean fine as like a backhanded compliment
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: or like a passive aggressive way of saying they're bad.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: There's a lot of guys I'd be fine with. So
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: those are the two on the interior wide receiver conversation
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: we talked about it. I would be fine with Casey Concepcion.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: I like him as a player a bunch. It's just
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: more of the need at wide receiver versus the need
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: at these other spots on defense, but him just as
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: a player. He was one of the first guys I watched.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: I think I started watching him in like February or
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: early early early March. He doesn't have pull away vertical speed.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: He's quicker than he is fast, but he is not
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: slow by any means. He's good with the ball in
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: his hands. He's elusive and tough. He's got good suddenness
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: in his releases and his stems. You'll see him leave
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: guys kind of grasping at air. He understands deception, he
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: understands how to like, let me stab inside, let me
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: sell vertical, let me snap this thing off. Leave a
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: guy grasp an air, stumbling, falling all over themselves like
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: he did in one of his reps against Notre Dame.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Drops are an issue. Seven drops in twenty twenty five,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: seven in twenty twenty four, and five in twenty twenty three.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: I do think he has good hands.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: The drops are more are more technique and concentration based
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: than they are anything. You'll watch him make some really
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: great catches, track the ball, make the catch through contact,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: survive the ground, pluck the ball from the air, and
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: then the ones where he just drops a gimme and.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: You're like, what's going on.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Primarily a slot receiver in twenty twenty four. In twenty
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: twenty three, eighty two point one percent in the slot.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: In twenty twenty four, ninety two point seven percent in
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the slot. In twenty twenty three when he was with
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: the NC State, but thirty four point four percent the
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: slot in twenty twenty five, so we worked a lot
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: more outside with Texas A and M this past year. Again,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: good deception in his route stems. He's also able to
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: get into defensive backs and then break off or snap
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: off his routes to create separation. He can shake corners
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: who are in a soft shoe or a mirror press
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: due to his good release. He has good sink and
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: rhythm between his hands and his feet to keep himself
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: clean versus corners. He can also stay clean versus true
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: press as well. True press is where aligned you know again,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: press is the alignment. Jamming is different, but you can
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: be in press, and true press is I'm putting a
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: hand on you, I'm rerouting you right at the line,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and I'm punching.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I'm doing something. I'm jamming you.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Soft shoe is more like I'm right in your kitchen.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I'm pressed before the snap, but then on the snap,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I'm mirroring you with my feet. So that's what a
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: soft shoe is. He can beat that. He can also
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: stay clean versus true press. He can beat hands similar
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: to the offensive lineman, defensive lineman. Battle beat the hands,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: beat the man. You'll watch him chop down at the wrist.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Move hands so he can stay clean. So he works
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: in his release, he works in his stems, he works
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: on his brakes. He understands how to break a route
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: off and settle in a window or a hole. He's
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: good at finding space against zone. He's also a willing blocker.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: He shows burst into contact looking to drive his man
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: downfield or out on stock blocks outside, works around defenders
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: in his stems and in zone, on his brake to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: settle in windows. Makes himself available to quarterbacks. I would
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: take Casey Concepcion at picked twenty six. I would be
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: fine with that if they took him. I also think
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: he doubles then as your punt returner and or kick returner.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I think he adds juice to the wide receiver room.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I also think he sets you up for success going forward.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: I talked about it last week.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: I believe.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: We don't know what's gonna happen with Keyon On Coleman.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Keon Coleman might not be on this team next year.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: We also don't know what happens with Josh Palmer. Josh
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Palmer has an out in his contract for the Bills.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Next year, Josh Palmer could be gone, so we could
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: be sitting here next year and the only two viable
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: receivers are DJ Moore and Kolio Shakir and then maybe
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Tyrol Shaver's depending on what happens to him. So even
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: though wide receiver isn't like the biggest need on the
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: team for twenty twenty six, it still is a need.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: And I also think it's a need for the future,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: just based on the contracts and the skill sets and
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: the guys they have in the room right now, which
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: is what's made me come around. I'm picking a receiver
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: at pick twenty six. I would still prefer a trade back.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: I would still prefer other guys or other positions, I
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: should say, But if it was Casey Concepcion to picked
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: twenty six, I would be fine with that.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: If they stayed there and made that pick.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Another guyked about him earlier. Jordan Tyson, wide receiver from
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Arizona State. A really varied injury history, significant and varied.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: He's got ligament is injuries and issues, muscular stuff, bone stuff,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: stuff like when he was at Colorado, stuff at Arizona State, Like, uh,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: you know, in the hamstring injury this year that plagued
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: him all year at Arizona State that he played through.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: He's got a hamstring issue and injury now in this offseason,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: which is why he hasn't really been able to go
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: at the Combine or Pro Day or any testing and
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: stuff like that.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Like just.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I hate saying what like they're labeling guys is like
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: injury prone or you know they're gonna keep getting injured,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: that's who they are. But it just seems to be
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: a thing for him for whatever reason. But he is
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: a guy who plays through the injuries. He is a
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: guy who battles. But it just becomes a matter for
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Jordan Tyson of how many games are you gonna get
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: him for every year, and how many of those games
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: is he not significantly limited from a pitch count standpoint,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: right to see, for the Bills, I don't want another
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Dalton Kincade scenario where he's a guy who is consistently
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: getting banged up and is either missing games or playing
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: but playing at sixty percent, or playing but he can
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: only play twenty snaps because you know that injury is
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: just it's just too much form to consistently play at
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: at an effective level. Jordan Tyson for me, I think
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Cardinal Tatus sweet. Jordan Tyson for me is my wide
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: receiver one in this class. I think Jordan Tyson, if healthy,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: is a blue chip dude and a very legit wide receiver.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: He just he's that type of guy. And I hate,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: I don't like to use this kind of like label,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: but he's He's the type of guy that when he's
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: on the field, he just moves different. Like he just
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: looks like the best kind best mover and the best
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: athlete on the field. He's got burst fluidity and explosion.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: You know. He works in a really good rocker step at.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: The top of his routes on and out and on overs,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: like he understands stem deception but then pairs that with
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: really good ankle flection. He had the way he can
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: get in and out of some cuts, in and out
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: of some breaks and transition from stem to break, and
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: his movements. He's just got some really unique traits and
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: really unique ability. He's also a willing blocker. He looks
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: to attach and stay attached and or drive defenders out.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: He's got some snap to his routes and his release
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: releases really smooth transitions from stem to break. He knows
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: how to accelerate through the apex, kind of like if
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: you're driving a car, you want to accelerate through the
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: apex of the turn, or an edge defender, you know,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: when you're around, when you're running the hoop or you're
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: running the arc, you want to accelerate through that arc.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: He knows how to do that from a route running standpoint,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: which is really nice to see. He's also got some
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: unorthodox route running aspects to his game, similar to Josh
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Dowens a couple of years ago, who I also really
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: liked when he was coming out of North Carolina. You know,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: you'll watch him, like you'll watch Tyson take some skip
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: steps or some unorthodox releases and moves to create separation.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: He'll do this like forty five degree angle like hop
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: slash jump in the low red zone. He did one
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: versus TCU that got him some separation. I do think
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: he could add some more deception to a STEM, but
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: this is more just like polishing it off, right, Like
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: let's add some more deception, Let's use some more body language,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: let's use some more eyes, let's look this way and
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: then move this other way. Jordan Tyson is one for
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: me where if he fell to twenty six, the injury.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Concerns are very real.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Again, there's not even a conversation of him, and he
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: still might not even fall the twenty six. But there
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: are reports that you know, the injuries are a lot
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: for folks. And we saw Will Johnson, the corner from
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Michigan last year. He fell all the way to the
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: second round and then had a really good rookie year
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: for Arizona. But he fell all the way because some
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: injury concerns and some other maybe like tape not being
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: so good in twenty twenty four like it was the
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: year before.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: But you.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: You wouldn't have a shot at him if you're the Bills,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: if he was healthy. If he's healthy, he's an easy
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: top ten guy in this class. Like he's a blue
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: chip guy for me at least. So maybe you could
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: fix him. Maybe the injuries are a thing of the past,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: and if he falls, I think it'd be hard for
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: me to say no. I still again don't think receiver
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: is the biggest need. I still would prefer a trade back.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: But man, you have the opportunity to get a blue
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: chip dude. Maybe you can fix him, as people say
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: with significant others and partners all the time in relationship.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: But I can be the one to fix him. I
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: can make I can make him or her better, I
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: can fix them. Yeah, I just think he's he's he's
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: the only chance at them getting like a blue chip
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: dude falling to them in this class. But again, that's
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: only happening because of the red flags that he comes with.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: So a little bit of a catch twenty two. But
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I would be fine if they took Jordan Tyson well
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: stay at receiver just because we're there. Omar Cooper receiver
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: from Indiana. I've seen some love for him for some
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: from some folks. I wouldn't hate he again, is another
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: one that I like. I would prefer if we're going
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: receiver here. I'm fine with CONCEPTSI, I'm fine with Tyson,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: I'm fine.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: Ish with Cooper.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I have Conceptsion ahead of Cooper, and I much prefer
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Conceptsion to Cooper. But I wouldn't hate Cooper. Denzel Boston
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: is not even in the conversation for me. I just
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: don't love him enough. I think he's more of a
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: two a round two guy than he is a back
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: end of round one, and just I have some questions
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: on his skill set, Like he's interesting, like because he's
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: a little bit of a bigger guy, but he moves
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: better than a bigger guy. But then he also doesn't
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: have the physicality at times that you'd like from a
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: bigger guy, so it's weird. I feel like he's kind
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: of caught in between his size and frame but play
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: style and skill set, which is annoying for me at
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: to say the least. And then I just don't know
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: how much like the speed and the athleticism and long
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: ability will play in the NFL, like how we got
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: to pull away from dudes and or not in the NFL.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: And then you're just getting into a weird situation because
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: of the size, frame, role, skill set, play style standpoint,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: which is annoying again to me and gives me costs
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: for concern. So I'd be cool conceptsy on, I'd be
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: cool with Tyson. I would be cool or fine ish
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: with Omar Cooper. But if if, like if Omar Cooper
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: is the best receiver there at pick twenty six, I
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: would prefer the trade back even more.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: Same similar idea for Denzel Boston as well there.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: But I do like Cooper just really fluid and athletic
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: mover and that really shows up in his transitions from
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: stem to break.
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: I'm early into my evaluation with him.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I again, I was really focused not at receiver for
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: pick twenty six, and now that I have recently, I
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: have come back to the receiver spot like I did
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: conceptcy On early, just because I watched him so much
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: during the season and I liked him. Also part of
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: me it took me a while to get to the
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Indiana stuff because as a Miami Hurricane fan, I'm still
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: upset that they lost the Natty to Indiana, so I
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: haven't wanted to watch Indiana because I'm still mad. But yeah,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: I'm getting around to Omar Cooper now. But the athleticism
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: tracks and I've seen him in other teams that I've
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: watched play Indiana as I've watched tape here this offseason.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: But yeah, really nice blaze out versus Michigan State. I
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: posted that clip earlier tonight, so he's got some good
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: movement to him. But if he's the best receiver there
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: at twenty six, I wouldn't hate it. I would prefer
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: a trade back like I would for most of these guys,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: but I would be much more comfortable and cool with
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: it being CONCEPCI owned or Tyson than I would Omar
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: Cooper safeties. I do again still think safety is a need.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I think there's a good chance we see some dime
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: and some multiple safety packages this year for the Bills.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I would love to do that and not necessarily have
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: it be Gino Stone, even though I think Genostone is
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: a fine Safety three or Safety four.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: My main thing is I just don't know what Chauncey
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: Gardner Johnson is going to be.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: I like him.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: You can search my Twitter handle and see me posting
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: back in like twenty twenty three or twenty twenty two
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: that I wanted him to come to the Bills and
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I thought his type of edge and grit would be
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: something the Bills defense could use in addtion to the
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: juice and pop in violence that he plays with.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: I think he's a fine fit with Cold Bishop. I
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: think CJ.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Gardner Johnson can I'm just gonna call him Chauncey because
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: there's too many names to say. I think Chauncey can
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: play single high in the post and allow Cold Bishop
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: to be that monster man and play in and around
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the box on the line of scrimmage. I also think
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: he you knows, Chauncey can play in the slot a
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: little bit depending on the body type or skill set
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: he's matched up against. And he can definitely play in
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: the box. And he's a good blitzer, so I think
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: it's a fine pairing. I think he's a fine safety.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I think he's still adequate and can get the job done.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: But he's on a one year deal. Geno Stone is
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: on a one year deal. I don't want Geno Stone starting.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I don't think Genostone is the future safety there. You're
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: gonna need a safety next year to pair with Cole
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Bishop unless you have really good long term plans for
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Jordan Hancock.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: And again, what makes you know?
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Chauncey Gardner Johnson Junior keep saying, I'm just gonna see
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I feel like I tongue twist myself Chauncey. What makes
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: him sweet is also like the catch twenty two on
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the other side of the coin, and I talked about
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: it on I think I've talked about on the show here,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: but I talked about it on Lockdown Bills with Joe
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Marino earlier this week when he had me on. He
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: could punch somebody in training camp and be kicked off
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the team, or he could like not like how a
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: week of practice goes and want out, which is what
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: happened in Houston.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: It ended up being kind of mutual. But yeah, he
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: was on a sweet defense in Houston.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: And had a role and was basically like, I don't
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: like this role, and how come these other guys make
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: this money. They shouldn't be making that money. And he
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: kind of like forced his hand out of Houston, so
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: he could do that. I think there's other moves that
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: take significant priority over safety right now, so I'm not
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: too keen on safety at twenty six. I do think
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: they could use a safety at some point. I really
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: like Bishop Fitzgerald safety from USC get him on day three,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: and I would take that as a future pairing with
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: cold Bishop. I still think you could upgrade it safety
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: and lock down that spot for the short term and
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: long term. I just think there's bigger fish to fry
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and other fish to fry at that spot. So I
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: don't mind Dylan Theeneman.
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: I don't love him. I would actually, but from a
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: pairing standpoint, I.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Would rather have a manual McNeil Warren as the safety
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: pairing with cold Bishop that I would deal with Dylan Thieneman.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: But even with McNeil Warren, I like him much more
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: as a second round guy than I do a late
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: first especially given the needs of this Bills team right
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: now to want to speak on the safety spot.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: One who I think is interesting.
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: Keldrick fall I've seen him kind of all over the place,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: and I've been reading different reports and how people have
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: him where and who doesn't have him where. I think
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Keldric Faulk. It depends on how you're looking at him.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: I think some people are looking at him purely as
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: an edge and so you see him in his numbers
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: and it's like, oh, like, where's all the edge stuff
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: we want to see. I think he is has the
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: type of hybridization and dynamic aspect to him with the
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: traits that would be useful in this Bill's defense.
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: I think he's somebody that could be used as a
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: four eye that can be used and the odd front.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Looks there, but he's somebody who could also potentially be
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: the end man on the line of scrimmage in an
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: od front and or be the end man on the
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: line of scrimmage in the four down stuff. I think
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: he gives you a lot of versatility. I think he
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: gives you some run defense capability, some athleticism, some length,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: some movement, some hand usage.
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: I think he just gives you.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: A bunch of traits and a bunch of bag of
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: tricks in a variety of ways. And he does all
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: of that in as I go to find him in
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: my notes here in a frame that's six' five and
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: seven eighths two hundred and seventy six. Pounds if you're
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: comparing him to the defensive lineman in, general eighty third
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: percent out for arm, length eighty fifth percentile for the
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: vert seventy eight percentile for the broad.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: Jump so he's got. Pop he's got some juice to his.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Game, AGAIN i do think he's better as a four
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: eye with some edge flex than he is more of
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: a true edge or outside. Linebacker subtle hand usage and
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: timing to defeat BLOCKERS i. THINK i do think he's
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: still inconsistent at finishing at the, quarterback AND i think that's.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Him as a pass rusher in, GENERAL i think he's
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: somebody who's still refining his pass rush plan he's. YOUNG
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: i believe he's only twenty or he'll be twenty, One
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: so he's more of a traits. Pick and because of,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: that maybe he goes early because people see the. Traits
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: maybe people don't like the. Fit maybe he falls because
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: he is a little raw and there is some traits to,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: him a trades aspect to. Him BUT i think he's
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: a dude.
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: WHO i think he has.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: More pass rush upside Than Greg russeau did coming. Out
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: OH i just see the comment here now FROM tcmp
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: who says group two point. Zero, YEAH i think he
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: has more pass rush upside Than rousseau did or. Does
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: BUT i do, think, yeah he comes in as a
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: floor as the floor for him is being a really
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: good run defender and having multiple alignment capabilities and multiple
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: usages in this bill's, defense whether you're in an odd
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: front or an even, front WHICH i think is really
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: exciting and really. USEFUL i DON'T i STILL i didn't
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: think he was gonna. FALL i thought he was a
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: dude that was gonna go in the top. Twenty Now
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: i'm not so, sure AND i think there's an opportunity
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: for him to fall a little. Bit so that's WHY
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: i wanted to mention him at that spot. THERE i
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Think Keldric falk is an interesting. One he's another guy
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Who i'm getting into him in The auburn tape now
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: a bunch of, dudes him And crawford and some of
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: their interior, guys and so you, Know falk was one
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: WHO i started to take notes on and do his
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: email and then started reading some pieces on him and
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: where he could land and some things that scouts are,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: saying AND i was, Like, okay maybe, this maybe there's
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: some smoke to, this and there's a shot he could
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: fall a little. BIT i think his type of versatility
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: and his, dynamic even though it is a little, RAW
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: i think would be really fun in this defense in
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: twenty twenty six and then beyond as. Well linebacker talked
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: about it several weeks ago With Russell.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: Brown we had him on the.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Show my issue with whatever linebacker you, take say you
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: take a linebacker at twenty, six AND i Love Josiah.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Trotter Jasi trotter is going to be my. Linebacker three
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: Behind Sunny styles AND Rbl reese are vice. Versa however
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: you kind of label them ASS, I oh, no let
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: me go to this real. Quick this comment From. Kent
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: kent says grud is a gangster against the run AND
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: i love, group but we don't need to. Fair but
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: This bill's, defense they need a four. Eye they need
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: like the defensive end or the interior defensive line player
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: in the odd front.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: Stuff you can't START. Tj sanders at four.
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: Eye maybe you can Get land And jackson to add
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: more weight and start him at four, eye but now
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: you're adding more weight to a guy who's coming off
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: of significant, injury and that's kind of. Wonky ALTHOUGH i
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: do think his play style and mentality fits, there and you,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: know you know true when you Mentioned.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Walker that's.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: Fair but Still walker is still a, penetrator, Right you
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: still like he's A walker is a big, dude but
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: he's a finesse. Player you need some semblance of ass
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: kickers on the. Interior and again that's, fine, Right like
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: if you want to Move walker to four, eye full, time,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: Cool but then you need two noses Because walker is
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: really the only real nose you. HAVE i Think frederian
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: mathis and zion log or find his practice squad guys
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: or depth. Guys neither of them are built to see
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: significant reps on a starting in a starting capacity in any.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Way so If walker moves to four, eye now you
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: need two. Noses so just opens up a lot of
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: questions and, capabilities which doesn't necessarily mean it's a wrong
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: move or a wrong.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: Pick BUT i also think.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Even from like a folk, standpoint, right like somebody who
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: can play that FOUR. I it helps With, sanders it
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: helps With. Jackson it also helps At oliver like has
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: an injury. History like At oliver misses time goes. Ghost
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: you need good dudes at FOUR i in this defense in,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: general but especially CONSIDERING. T. J sanders is a, big
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: big question. Mark Landon jackson is also a big question,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: mark and Ed oliver has an injury. History so that's
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: why Like, falk for, ME i think HE i Think
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: groot is more edge even in the odd front stuff
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: like he's gonna be stand up off the edge. RUSHING
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: i THINK i Think fulk is more of the guy
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: who plays inside him and can also do some of
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: the outside stuff that group.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: DOES i just think that that role is needed. Now
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: you could maybe get it.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: Later there are guys WHO i like later for that FOUR,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: i but it's more of a four eye and an interior.
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: Spot it's more Of Grayson halton.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: From, oklahoma somebody WHO i think can be a four,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: eye and then somebody who you can move inside as
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: like a three tech or Even Skyler Gil howard From Texas,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: tech someone WHO i think in plays a four, eye
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: and then you kick him in on the interior in
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: your even front. Stuff but, yeah, so and to your
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Point ken Saying walter is not a nose in my
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: opinion Or, walker, YEAH i. DO i think you can
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: moonlight as a. NOSE i don't think he's best suited
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: as a full time. Nose and again that even that
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: is muddy because their base, defense that odd front. Stuff
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: how much are they using? It is it twenty twenty,
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: five thirty thirty? Five how much do they change that
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: ratio this year because they don't have the right body
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: types or skill sets to maximize. It BUT i think
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: those are all fair. POINTS i think those are all fair, Points,
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: ken and thank you for. Commenting harper, says Is trotter
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: your bill SPECIFIC lb three or overall linebacker? Three overall linebacker?
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: THREE i like him more THAN. Cj, allen AND i
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: like him more Than Anthony. Hill, again that depends on how.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: Rvel reese is.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Weird i'm counting him as like an edge and is
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: an off ball. Guy so that's, why so like it's
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: recent styles and Then. Trotter if it's pure off ball
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: like and we're Removing, Reese sonny styles would be my
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: one and Then trotter would be my.
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: TWO i really Like Josiah.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Trotter my issue with that IS i Think trotter reads
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: the game better and plays coming forward better from an
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: angle standpoint in a block deconstruction standpoint Than Dorian.
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: Williams but.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: It's still kind of a move in that direction where
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: it's still like downhill. Based you're not getting the versatility
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: of somebody who can play inside linebacker and play a
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: gap to see gap against the, run but then also
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: line up on the edge and beat a tackle one
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: on one as a true, rusher or drop into coverage
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: and be a plus player.
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: There so IT'S.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: I don't think the value is necessarily like if you're
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: gonna Take Josiah trotter, early and AGAIN i Like Josiah.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Trotter if you're gonna Take Josiah trotter or even. C. J,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: allen but C. J allen is extremely smart and that's
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: a huge feather in his cap and changes things and
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: then he'll has some athletics universatility THAT i think is.
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: Untapped but, like if you're gonna Take trotter, early my
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: thought is is that really the best? Value like if
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: because if you're gonna Start Josiah, TROTTER i feel like
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: you should just Start Dorian. Williams, like even THOUGH i
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: Think trotter will be better in the long run and
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: could even be better now as a.
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: Rookie why not just Start Dorian williams and then invest somewhere.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: Else early is kind of where my thought because they're,
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: similar not, similar but the the siloed aspect.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: To their to their. Game and Then Harpy bank On golday's.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: Upside golday's.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: Fun he's just it's he's ugly coming into contact man.
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: And that worries me a, lot like the you, know
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: the skill set and how he's, used like, this is
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: he an off ball? Linebacker is he an?
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: Overhang he's got, athleticism size, frame like all this. Stuff
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: Gold days a weird one for, Me LIKE i just
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: feel like there's No, YEAH i see your. Comment theory
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: is weird.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: Projection, Yeah it's.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: Like he's so athletic and like the frame is so.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: Cool like SO i saw, THAT i was, like, oh
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: AND i saw him flash WHEN i was Watching, corleon
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: the defensive tackle From, cincinnati AND i saw him flash
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: a little bit and then there was like a lot
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: of buzz around gold AND i was, Like, okay, WELL
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: i was already gonna go back and watch this, guy
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: but let me make SURE i.
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: Do AND i watched him for a game AND i
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: was just, like, oh LIKE i wanted.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: To like gold day AND i was just man on,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: him and, YEAH i don't know where he, projects like
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: is he more of like an apex and an overhang
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: type of? Guy like is he an off ball? Linebacker
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: is he more of an? Edge and then it's, like,
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: okay do you yeah to your point?
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: Yet?
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Cincinnati How cincinnati use and was kind OF i mean
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: their defense has been walking for years though with they're
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: like three three, five even going back to the playoff
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: games the past couple of years or a couple of
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: years ago or whatever it. Was but, YEAH i just
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: wonder where he lives in THE nfl because the the
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: physicality and the play it at the collision points is
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: interesting for me to kind of say the least and
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: painted as rosy AS i, can like taking on, polers you,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: know mashing with, tackles just kind of playing in that come,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: in the come forward, aspect you, know the space and the.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: ATHLETICISM i think that track's.
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: Cool but, yeah.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: There's just something that doesn't connect all the way from
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: me With. Gold, Ay but to your, POINT i do
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: think he's got the upside if you can tap into
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: the talent and frame or the traits in the.
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: Frame, cool go, Ahead oh, yeah fair.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Point they're saying he was an edge In Arkansas state
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: and pretty, productive SO i hope that he could get
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: tapped back INTO i, mean he moves really well for
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: that size and, frame and SO i think it's A
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: i think it's a fair thought to be like to
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: exactly what you, said like.
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: Much rather bank on Gold days. UPSIDE i do think
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: there's upside.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: There whether or not the physicality is a symptom of
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: something else or just baked into who he, IS i
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: don't know, that BUT i think that's. Fair and again
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: a part of what makes this whole conversation, walking because
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: there's like upside, guys floor, guys body type, guys you,
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: know skill, set role.
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: Guys like it's just not even just for the, linebackers.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: But just overall in this, Class like there's different flavors
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: and different preferences based on who you, are what you,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: are what you look, for what you gravitate towards the
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: physicality and the contact. Pieces for, me just for, goal
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: they give me some cause for. Concern but, AGAIN i
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: think the upside is there if you can tap into,
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: it to your. Point but, yeah, Linebacker i'm Not if
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: they TOOK.
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: Cj, ALLEN i wouldn't be. DISTRAUGHT i.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: DON'T i don't really love any linebacker at twenty six
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: like a true off ball. LINEBACKER i want a linebacker
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: that has more of a versatility and hybridization to their
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: game rather than just being like a true off ball
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: linebacker type of.
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: GUY i wouldn't hate C. J. ALLEN i wouldn't love C. J.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: Allen if they took a linebacker twenty, six you, KNOW
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: i if they if it was Like trotter Or, ALLAN
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: i don't think it's gonna Be, trotter but if it Was,
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Alan i'd be, Like, OKAY i.
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: Can get behind. THAT i don't love.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: IT i wouldn't want it to Be hill BUT i
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: can get Behind. Alan other than, THAT i don't want
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: to linebacker twenty. SIX i mean, AGAIN i really don't
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: want to linebacker at twenty. Six but there's some THAT i.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: Tolerate appreciate, You. Adam adam, says, Dope, PAT i appreciate.
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: YOU i love The saber. Set i'm very proud of.
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: It thank.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: YOU i should probably say proud of, it LIKE i
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: freaking made it AND i. Didn't how About Jashn barm From. Michigan,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: YEAH i Like.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: Barham He's he's somebody WHO i think is interesting LIKE.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: I he's another one where in my NOTES i literally
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: have for him Like Leo chanel light question, mark because
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: he's somebody who can line up inside like inside, linebacker
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: off ball type, stuff play.
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: Downhill then you can.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Also line him up on the edge in a variety of,
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: ways and he can play the. Run he can mash with.
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: Pullers he can even rush like true rush a little
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: bit and beat a tackle every now and. AGAIN i
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: just wonder what he is at the next. Level and
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: a lot of it, too is that the ecosystem he
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: gets into and the team he goes to with his
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: size and frame and skill set is he a guy
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: that just kind of never takes hold anywhere and just
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: gets lost on the depth, chart or is he somebody
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: that people can tap into and kind of make, him you,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: know more than just kind of like a sum of
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: the parts type of.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: DEAL i think he's.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: INTERESTING i watched a bunch of his stuff from twenty
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: twenty four when he played more inside, linebacker and THEN
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: i watched this stuff this year where he played more
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: edge and going in even some of my notes here, too,
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: LIKE i do think he is a bit late with
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: his eyes and processing kind of how he sees the
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: game or feels the. Game AND i think, again that's
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: part of being, like, hey we're going to move you
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: around and jack of all trades master a Nun so
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: do you just let him master?
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: One you?
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: Know do you let him just play inside linebacker and
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: moonlight a little bit as an edge or vice. VERSA
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: i think you'd have to if you committed him to
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: one full time. SPOT i think would be inside linebacker
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: because of the size and frame where he is.
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: AT i don't know WHY i didn't write it.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: DOWN i believe he is two hundred and forty, three,
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: yeah six three and a half two hundred and forty.
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: POUNDS i think you'd have to commit to him more
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: as like an inside linebacker and then sub packaged rusher
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: and then really try to build.
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: His feel his instinct for those spots and how you get.
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: There BUT i like the.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Versatility, Again i'm Chasing Leo chanel And Kaid nellis at.
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: LINEBACKER i don't Think barham has the coverage shops that
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: either of those guys, do and neither of those guys
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: are like the strongest plus coverage. Players But i'm chasing
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: that type of versatility and hybridization and, linebacker AND i
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: Think barm is the type of guy who can tap
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: into that a little, bit or who can be tapped
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: into in that. Way it's just where you take. Him,
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: Like i'm not taking him at twenty. SIX i would
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: be okay with him at ninety. One ideally won twenty.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: Six but, YEAH i Like barm But i'd just be
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: more comfortable with him like back end a DAY a
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: back end of round, three but more likely like A day,
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: three a back end Of round, three early day, three
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: so like a late, three early to mid four type of.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: Guy and THEN i would look to kind of keep
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: put him at inside, linebacker go from there and then
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: let him moonlight a little bit as edge. Rusher but
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: you could commit him to either. Or AND i do
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: think the versatility. Plays you just got to get him
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: to kind of get more comfortable and get build some
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: feel and some instincts at one of those spots and
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: then use that as to.
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: Jump off, point which is a FAIR i think it's fair.
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: Thought you know what else is a fair.
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: Thought getting the best pizza In, Buffalo New York One Pie.
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: Pizza if you don't, know you should know. Now One

- 1:41:36Speaker 1: mac and, cheeses their, salads some pasta, stuff some chicken and,

- 1:43:27Speaker 1: Buffalo New.
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: York i'm going to.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: Throw out the band and says toutles, folks we are
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: going to start to wind down and say. GOODBYE i
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: THINK i nailed the main people at twenty. Six there
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: are other guys Who i'd be comfortable with at twenty
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: six if they, stayed BUT i didn't want to get
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: into the hole like if this guy, falls if that guy.
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: FALLS i tried to keep it realistic based on HOW
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: i think the first round is going to, fall based
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: on team needs and then what my grades reflect as.
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: Well but we will continue to solidify this as we
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: go forward here on the show in these next couple of.
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: Weeks so another, guy even like from an edge, Perspective
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: i'd be comfortable with at at twenty. SIX i totally forgot.
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: THAT i didn't even cover. That so let me go
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: back to that throw up that banner there that says
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: making a selection at pick twenty, SIX.
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: I Like Zion.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: Young, again this is based on guys WHO i think
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: are going to be. THERE i Like Zion young From,
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: missouri the, length the, athleticism the movement. CAPABILITY i know
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: he has the du duy or, dwy WHICH i do
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: not love at, all but from not on the, field,
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: STANDPOINT i think a skill set is very like ready
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: made for the NFL. Ar Mason thomas is an interesting,
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: one just like size frame, juice BUT i questioned how
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: viable he is at the NFL. Ar Mason thomas And
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: Gabe akis are two guys for me who are more
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: like second round guys LIKE i WOULD i wouldn't mind
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: Taking Zion young at the back end of round.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: ONE.
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: Tj PARKER i think kind of falls into A Zion young,
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: category but in a different. WAY i Like young more
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: THAN i Like, parker BUT i could get BEHIND.
- 1:45:07Speaker 3: Tj.
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: Parker but Our Mason Thomas Gabe akis are guys THAT
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: i have more like true second round, guys guys that
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: if The bills had a second round, Pick i'd be, Like,
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: okay that's a guy you take. There Derek, MOORE i
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: think is kind of in that, boat BUT i like
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: more a little less than those, guys no pun. Intended
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: more is a guy WHO i have is more of
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: A round three. Grade and so, again if we're just
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: focusing on edges at twenty, SIX i still don't even
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: know WHERE i stand On, mesador just the age thing
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: and him being essentially a fully grown adult playing against
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: like kids from a body development, standpoint but also from a.
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: Skill set and experience standpoint is just so muddy for.
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: ME i also Like Cashius, howell like the. Juice he's
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: just a veloci.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: Raptor it's, awesome but his arm like is such an,
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: Outlier and how do you play him against the? Run,
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: like how do you Play Ashes howell on the? Run
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: or how do you play against the? Run like you
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: have to always essentially you got to play him open,
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: side so not to the tight end. Side and you
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: don't even want him being playing on the side that
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: like they're gonna run, to because it's just gonna be
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: so tough for him to play the.
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: Run he almost has to be a pure designated pass.
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: RUSHER i don't.
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: Know So howell is the guy WHO I i again
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: His he's so juiced up and his tape is really
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: fun at times that if they took him at twenty, Six.
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: I'd be, like you know, What, Okay i'll figure out a.
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: Way but, really if they're gonna take an edge of twenty,
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: Six i'd rather go for the high floor and known
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: quantity of WHAT i know can play in THE, nfl
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: and last while still having some productivity and some upside to.
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: It so it would be a guy Like Zion yong
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: or be a guy LIKE. Tj parker at twenty.
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: SIX a lot of the other GUYS i have more
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: firmly and like the a round two guy THAT i
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: take it round, two not a round two guy that
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: can creep into a late day, one but more true
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: round two and.
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: Beyond SO i wanted to cover that since we didn't
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: cover the edge spot.
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: There oh WHEN Rj putt appreciate you artist, SAID i Got, pepperoni,
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: sausage ricata and hot. Honey oh that's delicious and it
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: is still the best Pizza i've ever eaten in my.
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: Life. Testimonials appreciate, You, urjay thank you very.
