Transcript
- 0:12Speaker 1: One of the few managers not on that front end,
- 0:14Speaker 1: by the way, is sitting next to me. The other
- 0:17Speaker 1: Aj that we've had on the show, one of many,
- 0:19Speaker 1: but one of the other as Aj hensch here is here.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We're in Lakeland.
- 0:24Speaker 1: We're at Tiger's camp, and we were just discussing how
- 0:26Speaker 1: you had to put a covered field behind us so
- 0:28Speaker 1: Joey Cora wouldn't get wet.
- 0:30Speaker 3: We have a This facility is incredible. We do get
- 0:33Speaker 3: a ton of work in. We do have the brand
- 0:35Speaker 3: new turf field. It's go time that this summer pretty
- 0:41Speaker 3: hot down here. So our young players love it, and
- 0:44Speaker 3: Joey definitely probably uses it the most. He and George
- 0:47Speaker 3: Lombard earlier work program. George has been gone with Team USA,
- 0:51Speaker 3: Joey was gone for Puerto Rico. Our camp has changed
- 0:53Speaker 3: fundamentally since Joey came back with Puerto Rico losing.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Did you get on him about border and he tried
- 0:59Speaker 2: to die like.
- 0:59Speaker 4: The he did die.
- 1:01Speaker 3: He did dye his hair. One his dye his hair
- 1:03Speaker 3: turns out it you know, it looks pretty good.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I'm not great.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It's not a difference between I gotta be nicer to
- 1:13Speaker 3: Joey than you do because he's on my staff. But
- 1:16Speaker 3: we welcome these guys back from the w b C.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It's it's good to get our cheam bats.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Did you watch the game last night?
- 1:21Speaker 3: Of course, the whole thing, the entire thing. What do
- 1:23Speaker 3: you think it's electric? I mean, this is this environment
- 1:26Speaker 3: for players is is really really special, and so I
- 1:32Speaker 3: I loved it. I mean breaking down the game and
- 1:35Speaker 3: all the different you know, momentum moves and and the
- 1:38Speaker 3: base running and the the bigot bats and.
- 1:43Speaker 4: No A B s at the end.
- 1:44Speaker 3: You know, there's like there's a lot that goes into
- 1:47Speaker 3: that game, but the emotion that these guys are playing
- 1:49Speaker 3: with is pretty special.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Pitching tonight and he's not tomorrow.
- 1:53Speaker 4: He's gonna be there.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I think he's gonna throw a pen and get everybody
- 1:55Speaker 3: all amped up and he's gonna throw.
- 1:57Speaker 4: So it's not about me. Yeah, exactly.
- 2:00Speaker 3: This is exactly why I only come on the show
- 2:02Speaker 3: once or twice, because like usually I want Krats to
- 2:04Speaker 3: do all the all the talking and I draw you
- 2:07Speaker 3: for Central Florida.
- 2:07Speaker 4: But.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I such an emotional time for everybody. It's also preparation.
- 2:13Speaker 3: It's hard, like it's hard to put it all together.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And when we made these decisions in January, everybody was
- 2:20Speaker 3: really excited and on board. I think the emotion of
- 2:22Speaker 3: the moment really took over. Trek had a really, really
- 2:25Speaker 3: hard time navigating it, but we stayed the.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Course so that he's ready to go in San Diego.
- 2:30Speaker 5: How hard is that to see him in the dugout
- 2:33Speaker 5: and you go, all right, well, I was kind of
- 2:35Speaker 5: part of the decision to not let him play because
- 2:38Speaker 5: yesterday US wins and all of a sudden, the first
- 2:41Speaker 5: second camera shot is Trek Scuoble and the first question
- 2:44Speaker 5: is going to be Terrek Scooble. Obviously Holmes was in
- 2:47Speaker 5: there too, But you part of that decision. Was it
- 2:50Speaker 5: easy for you or was it hard for you?
- 2:53Speaker 4: I think it's hard.
- 2:54Speaker 3: It's hard because it matters so much to the players,
- 2:57Speaker 3: and you want to see these theatrical events. Who doesn't
- 3:00Speaker 3: love the the matchups. I mean dating back to Otani
- 3:04Speaker 3: and trout dating' you know, like last night seeing you
- 3:07Speaker 3: know Mason Miller pitch and you're like, these are real
- 3:09Speaker 3: matchups that you only get in perfect scenarios, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 3: when everything's on the line.
- 3:16Speaker 4: So I obviously love Team USA.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I love the event as a manager, it's really hard
- 3:21Speaker 3: to I mean Juliol Rodriguez gets hit. I mean the
- 3:24Speaker 3: entire Mariners front office and coaching staff is like in
- 3:28Speaker 3: straight panic mode. Likese got, Jose Al Tuovee got hurt
- 3:31Speaker 3: a couple of years ago.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Like it.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It's gonna happen, whether it's in spring training or in
- 3:34Speaker 3: the WBC. It hurts more when it's in an event
- 3:37Speaker 3: that's not not your your group. So planning out wise
- 3:41Speaker 3: is really hard, and I think you know, the the
- 3:45Speaker 3: onus is on all of us to try to figure
- 3:47Speaker 3: out the best time to do this event so we
- 3:49Speaker 3: get this experience. I will tell you for pitchers Sevrino
- 3:55Speaker 3: throwing one hundred at this point, watching Paul Skins navigate sixty,
- 3:59Speaker 3: it's not the same where they normally would be in
- 4:01Speaker 3: spring training. And we'll always have that problem when we
- 4:04Speaker 3: have this event right now. And so until we figure
- 4:07Speaker 3: out the safest time to do it, you're going to
- 4:10Speaker 3: have these dilemmas, and you're going to have these situations
- 4:13Speaker 3: where it's not lined up perfectly and the timing didn't
- 4:15Speaker 3: work the Like Arrek's belief in wanting to represent the
- 4:19Speaker 3: country and wanting to play in this event, the fact
- 4:21Speaker 3: he did one start in a free agent year is
- 4:24Speaker 3: pretty remarkable, and here he is just getting beat up
- 4:26Speaker 3: left and right.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Great, people agree, That's all I was gonna say.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Were we getting too greedy as US fans or baseball
- 4:33Speaker 5: fans because he did make one start in a free
- 4:36Speaker 5: agent year where he could possibly make four hundred million dollars?
- 4:40Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 4:40Speaker 3: I think where Trek is wronged is like there's a
- 4:43Speaker 3: lot of guys that turned this down to not play
- 4:46Speaker 3: at all, and so like, again, do you want credit
- 4:48Speaker 3: for going and once start?
- 4:49Speaker 4: Of course? Do you want did he have the most
- 4:51Speaker 4: to risk?
- 4:51Speaker 3: Of course, like this guy has and he cares the most,
- 4:54Speaker 3: like he he wants to do right by everybody, and
- 4:57Speaker 3: by him being transparent, I feel like he got a
- 4:59Speaker 3: little bit propped up to to take a little bit
- 5:02Speaker 3: of a beating by by you know, the fans and
- 5:05Speaker 3: the media and the and and the players had his
- 5:08Speaker 3: back and we always had his back. And he's doing
- 5:10Speaker 3: the best he can under the circumstances provided, you know.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I do think, you know, we we think of this
- 5:16Speaker 3: as the regular season matchups, and it's not because I
- 5:19Speaker 3: you know, I talk to players coming out of this,
- 5:21Speaker 3: I see players coming. I mean even we had Jamie
- 5:23Speaker 3: Jones who was with with Team Korea, like he needed
- 5:26Speaker 3: a full couple of days to come down from that
- 5:28Speaker 3: to be able to go. And that's he's a you know,
- 5:30Speaker 3: a role player for us on the bench who played
- 5:32Speaker 3: a little bit of outfield. Has gone all over the world,
- 5:34Speaker 3: traveling to Japan, traveling to Miami for a game, and
- 5:38Speaker 3: it's not easy. I don't think people really care as
- 5:40Speaker 3: much as they probably should. But I I trust that
- 5:44Speaker 3: the players that you know will handle it accordingly given
- 5:47Speaker 3: the schedule. Did you play any Olympics, Yeah, ninety six
- 5:51Speaker 3: at Atlanta. We want a bronze medal. In ninety six,
- 5:54Speaker 3: we were still the amateur team. We were coming out
- 5:56Speaker 3: of college, so a lot of guys from there went
- 5:58Speaker 3: to the went to the big leagues. We had like
- 6:01Speaker 3: you know, ra A Dickey and Braden Looper and Travis
- 6:03Speaker 3: Lee and Markcotte and Jack Jones, and we were we
- 6:07Speaker 3: were had a really talented college team. But it was
- 6:10Speaker 3: in July after our season, and eighteen to twenty one
- 6:13Speaker 3: feels a little bit different than guys that are you know,
- 6:16Speaker 3: that are that are signed to these contracts and are
- 6:18Speaker 3: preparing for a major league sedon.
- 6:19Speaker 2: You know what it's like.
- 6:21Speaker 4: It's incredible, incredible. I mean it is, it's worthwhile.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I mean when Tarreor called me in January asking about it,
- 6:27Speaker 3: I was an immediate yes because that walking in that
- 6:30Speaker 3: room is different.
- 6:31Speaker 2: It's not an All.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Star team, it's not a you know, it's not sort
- 6:35Speaker 3: of a casual event, and it's a meaningful step to
- 6:41Speaker 3: be one of the elites. Will Ves is there right
- 6:43Speaker 3: now and will Vest three years ago, I'm sending him
- 6:46Speaker 3: out to go to Triple A because of a bad spring.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Three years later, he's closing out playoff games and he's
- 6:51Speaker 3: going to Team USA. When you walk in that room,
- 6:53Speaker 3: it matters, and I love it for these guys to
- 6:57Speaker 3: experience it.

- 8:00Speaker 5: One of your massive moves was another lefty that probably
- 8:02Speaker 5: wanted to pitch into WBC was that conversation had with Framber.
- 8:07Speaker 3: So Framber was, you know, a free agent pretty deep
- 8:10Speaker 3: into the offseason and the timing of when the Dominicans
- 8:13Speaker 3: set their rockster and all the things that go into that.
- 8:18Speaker 3: He wasn't even with a team yet. And I think
- 8:20Speaker 3: you're seeing the same thing with Lozardo with the Phillies.
- 8:22Speaker 3: These guys that are that are that are at a
- 8:24Speaker 3: different point of their career. It's hard to commit to
- 8:28Speaker 3: everything and do everything for everybody, and so Framber never
- 8:31Speaker 3: mentioned it on the front end. You know, we talked
- 8:33Speaker 3: a little bit about his entry into this team and
- 8:36Speaker 3: and obviously getting him, getting him up and running on
- 8:39Speaker 3: the first team that he hasn't played that's not the Astros.
- 8:42Speaker 3: And so when when he got here and then he was,
- 8:44Speaker 3: you know, up and running. We went to the Dominican
- 8:46Speaker 3: for two games and I heard a little bit of
- 8:49Speaker 3: conversation of them wishing that he was on that team.
- 8:52Speaker 3: And it that's where callies again, you're not allowed to
- 8:55Speaker 3: map it out to make it perfect.
- 8:57Speaker 4: You're not allowed to.
- 8:58Speaker 3: You would have prepared a little differently January and February,
- 9:01Speaker 3: knowing what was ahead. We started him late in order
- 9:04Speaker 3: to give him a little bit of recovery from the
- 9:07Speaker 3: volume that he's had over the last couple of years.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And then here we're gonna drop the most intense game
- 9:11Speaker 3: like last night on his plate. That didn't make sense.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Well, I guess off of that, and then my original
- 9:18Speaker 5: question was different, But is he going to be ready
- 9:22Speaker 5: for not opening day because Scooba is gonna be opening
- 9:24Speaker 5: a but is he gonna be ready for his first start?
- 9:27Speaker 5: And how has he assimilated himself into this clubhouse?
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah, he's been great.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I mean, Frember pitched yesterday in pitch five innings, was incredible,
- 9:36Speaker 3: getting ground balls like we know, he missed a few bats,
- 9:38Speaker 3: like we know.
- 9:40Speaker 4: You know, he.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Is very ready for the season, and we used a
- 9:44Speaker 3: couple extra bullpens, a couple extra live VP sessions to
- 9:47Speaker 3: get his volume up. That's a little less intense than
- 9:50Speaker 3: a game, but a little bit more than just throwing
- 9:52Speaker 3: in the bullpen. So he's gonna pitch Game two right
- 9:55Speaker 3: behind Trek. I was gonna announce it later this week,
- 9:57Speaker 3: but he's lined up to pitch right behind Terrek and
- 10:00Speaker 3: and go in game two. And that's a pretty good
- 10:02Speaker 3: one two punch when you go and both guys can
- 10:05Speaker 3: pitch deep into games, they get out. They do it
- 10:07Speaker 3: a little bit differently, but pretty good start this season.
- 10:11Speaker 2: How'd your recruiting pitch go to him?
- 10:13Speaker 4: Was it pretty good together? I think the common bond
- 10:17Speaker 4: is just.
- 10:17Speaker 3: I saw this guy come from, you know, from where
- 10:21Speaker 3: he was in his career late signed, had to work
- 10:23Speaker 3: his way through.
- 10:24Speaker 4: He's been doubted his whole life.
- 10:25Speaker 3: He's a little bit been old for level as he
- 10:28Speaker 3: worked his way up through the minor leagues and then
- 10:29Speaker 3: I had him his first couple of years in the
- 10:31Speaker 3: big leagues, and you know, the thing that that I
- 10:34Speaker 3: wanted him to know is one we're about winning, and.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Two there are high standards here.
- 10:37Speaker 3: And of course we talked about his life, you know,
- 10:39Speaker 3: his last couple of years with Houston. There is a
- 10:42Speaker 3: common bond. You guys know this when you play for
- 10:44Speaker 3: somebody and you have that immediate comfort level, both from
- 10:48Speaker 3: manager to player and player to manager. I wanted to
- 10:52Speaker 3: I wanted him to come here badly because he he
- 10:54Speaker 3: can help you win that Nick.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Franklin, it is yeah, yeah, hello track.
- 11:01Speaker 6: It's like a it's like a squirrel. It's like a squirrel.
- 11:03Speaker 6: Run high school.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Here's my kids, high school coach, red coaches for.
- 11:07Speaker 6: Like for like three minutes, stay focused. We have a J.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Hinch On here.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He might be a better manager. You never know. He
- 11:14Speaker 2: almost won a state championship as an intern. Inch never
- 11:16Speaker 2: did that.
- 11:18Speaker 4: No, I've not won a high school Central Florida state championship.
- 11:21Speaker 2: That's well, it's the whole stage.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It's not just it's not like California where they only
- 11:24Speaker 1: play like parts. We do the whole stage. Anyways, back
- 11:27Speaker 1: to back to the Tigers, we mentioned from ber there's
- 11:30Speaker 1: another guy that you were a little familiar.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I don't know, are you familiar with him in Verlander?
- 11:35Speaker 1: When he comes in here, does he just automatically get
- 11:37Speaker 1: the best locker and get everything because of his time
- 11:41Speaker 1: with the Tigers from before.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Now he got a different locker, same number. I told him,
- 11:44Speaker 3: you know what I told him the day before, so
- 11:46Speaker 3: I knew we were signing him for a couple of days.
- 11:48Speaker 3: He was doing making some arrangements or whatever and getting Yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 3: he got to got to get his end of all
- 11:53Speaker 3: out season stuff done. I was like, hey, I changed
- 11:56Speaker 3: my number to thirty five from fourteen. I've been fourteen
- 11:59Speaker 3: the last like whatever, ten twelve years. But I don't
- 12:01Speaker 3: really care about the number thing. But my goal was
- 12:03Speaker 3: to try to get a watch or something out of Verlander.
- 12:06Speaker 3: And I tried at the last minute to say, hey,
- 12:07Speaker 3: I changed my number to thirty five, and he called
- 12:10Speaker 3: me on it, which so it's true. I didn't get
- 12:11Speaker 3: anything for it, but nothing. No, I didn't actually change
- 12:14Speaker 3: my numbers.
- 12:15Speaker 4: I should have.
- 12:15Speaker 2: You should have.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Actually the we gave him his number back, and there
- 12:18Speaker 3: was something different about the Verlander jersey being up in
- 12:22Speaker 3: the clubhouse and even watching him throw his bullpen like
- 12:25Speaker 3: it didn't take me back as far as I wasn't
- 12:28Speaker 3: here with the Tigers when he was. But he's the
- 12:31Speaker 3: fan reaction the how he's handled his re entry into
- 12:36Speaker 3: this organization. We're a completely different organization than he was
- 12:38Speaker 3: here last and he's been awesome in the clubhouse around
- 12:44Speaker 3: the young players. He and Errek developing a really good relationship.
- 12:47Speaker 3: He's in between Terrek and Framber, which is probably great
- 12:50Speaker 3: for both. Frambert's got a ton of familiarity with him
- 12:52Speaker 3: from Houston. Errek has a ton of respect for someone
- 12:55Speaker 3: you know who is has done all that he's done
- 12:58Speaker 3: in the game.
- 13:00Speaker 6: How many times have you heard him say? Whoa? This
- 13:02Speaker 6: is different? Whoa? They didn't have this when I was
- 13:05Speaker 6: coming up.
- 13:07Speaker 4: You know. One of the things that he's he joked
- 13:09Speaker 4: to them.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I was like, you're actually approachable on the day you pitch,
- 13:11Speaker 3: which I don't recognize that version that the thirty something
- 13:14Speaker 3: version of Erlander was like, you know, headphones on, stay
- 13:17Speaker 3: away from me. But he was joking in the training
- 13:19Speaker 3: room the other day and he was having a grandle time.
- 13:21Speaker 3: So spring training his perspective. He did say that spring
- 13:23Speaker 3: training he did say, like, I actually think, you know, again,
- 13:26Speaker 3: I as a manager, maybe I feel like I'm getting
- 13:28Speaker 3: older in this job.
- 13:29Speaker 4: And you've been around a little bit.
- 13:31Speaker 3: You see these guys go from like young players to
- 13:33Speaker 3: getting married to having kids to that happened with JAV too,
- 13:36Speaker 3: Like he got married, he has a couple of kids.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Now his perspective on his career and what it means
- 13:42Speaker 3: to put on a uniform, I think is is awesome
- 13:46Speaker 3: because I think he values it way more now as
- 13:48Speaker 3: he knows whatever is this. You know, whenever he's going
- 13:50Speaker 3: to be done, he's going to be done, but he's
- 13:53Speaker 3: going to appreciate things a lot more than maybe you
- 13:56Speaker 3: do as a you know, a rising you know, first
- 14:00Speaker 3: ballot Hall of Fame.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 3: No, he's been incredible and like the resume speaks for itself.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I mean I always say, like you want to know
- 14:07Speaker 3: something about a player, look at the back of the
- 14:08Speaker 3: baseball card.
- 14:09Speaker 4: And his law.
- 14:10Speaker 2: All right, Oh sorry, go ahead, craps.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Oh no, no, I just have one more JV question. Can
- 14:15Speaker 5: he be a distraction when you know you're signing a
- 14:17Speaker 5: guy like that? Obviously everybody says in tangibles he's in
- 14:20Speaker 5: between the locker of Scooble and Framber. But can he
- 14:24Speaker 5: be a distraction that some managers aren't able to handle
- 14:28Speaker 5: because of well JV back in Detroit all this stuff.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I don't. I don't think he's going to be a distraction.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I think I think that that that week was kind
- 14:37Speaker 3: of crazy, right, So you had the talk of Tarrek coming,
- 14:41Speaker 3: you know, coming back, he went through his arbitration stuff,
- 14:43Speaker 3: He's going to WBC.
- 14:44Speaker 4: You have Bam Framberg, Damn Mam JV.
- 14:48Speaker 3: And like all of a sudden, it became like a
- 14:50Speaker 3: completely different clubhouse, you know. And and ironically as a manager,
- 14:54Speaker 3: I was scrambling less about JV and more to other
- 14:57Speaker 3: guys who were in our camp, Drew Anderson, we had signed, Hey,
- 15:00Speaker 3: you're possibly moving too, the pen cater Montero, your your
- 15:03Speaker 3: role has changed. He's gonna he's gonna start for Venezuela tonight.
- 15:06Speaker 3: So like there's there's like I go into manager mode.
- 15:08Speaker 3: But that the overall like storm, so to speak, or
- 15:13Speaker 3: this big topic that came. Jv' has handled it with
- 15:16Speaker 3: a ton of cloud. He has not wanted to be
- 15:18Speaker 3: the center of attention and has not tried to pull
- 15:22Speaker 3: away from this team. This team is has been in
- 15:25Speaker 3: the playoffs the last two years. Like, that's the conversation
- 15:28Speaker 3: about what you know, what we're about. He didn't want
- 15:30Speaker 3: me to even talk about the nostalgia of coming back
- 15:32Speaker 3: in Detroit. He wants to talk about helping us win.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Did you make him do a rookie program when he
- 15:36Speaker 1: got when he came back. If he doesn't want the nostalgia,
- 15:38Speaker 1: you should have made him do like a rookie presentation.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Now, No, he's not a rookie, so it's hard to
- 15:43Speaker 3: make him do a rookie This is why Presentky hasn't
- 15:45Speaker 3: managed it.
- 15:46Speaker 4: He doesn't. He has all these great ideas that he
- 15:48Speaker 4: would never do in that room.
- 15:50Speaker 2: So I'm not a manager.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Of people that are actually managing and have to worry about. No,
- 15:55Speaker 3: I don't have to worry about Jav doing a presentation.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I just want to I'm just happy he comes to
- 15:58Speaker 3: my meeting every morning. Like shit do one Like back
- 16:01Speaker 3: when I was a rookie, the had somebody doing on
- 16:04Speaker 3: him on his birthday. But I left that one alone.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Like forty three is in number. You know, I've been there.
- 16:09Speaker 3: I know what it's like to have the number climb.
- 16:12Speaker 4: So I left him.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Alone, okay, and position player wise, it's it's it's a
- 16:16Speaker 1: similar team to what you guys had last year. The
- 16:18Speaker 1: thing with you guys last year, especially in the postseason
- 16:21Speaker 1: that you know was a strikeouts. Is there a way
- 16:23Speaker 1: you guys can cut down on the strikeouts. We'll get
- 16:25Speaker 1: more contact.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I hope, So, I hope.
- 16:27Speaker 3: So although I would tell you, like you ever strike
- 16:28Speaker 3: out and say like, oh, I wasn't trying to hit
- 16:30Speaker 3: it like all of us when we swing and miss,
- 16:32Speaker 3: we're trying to hit it, like the guys are actually
- 16:34Speaker 3: taking a pass at the ball to hit it. And
- 16:36Speaker 3: so you there's two ways to go about it. I
- 16:38Speaker 3: think you can address it and just say, hey, we
- 16:41Speaker 3: need more contact, like that doesn't make it easier to
- 16:44Speaker 3: hit some of these guys. You can also, you know,
- 16:48Speaker 3: talk about what you need to do a little bit more.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Maybe we need to play the game a little bit more.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Maybe we do need to have a b hack a
- 16:54Speaker 3: little bit more. Maybe the game situation will dictate maybe
- 16:57Speaker 3: not empty in your tank and try and hit.
- 16:58Speaker 4: The ball on the ballpark.
- 16:59Speaker 3: But offense has changed over the years that there is
- 17:04Speaker 3: there is you know last night in the dr game,
- 17:06Speaker 3: like you make contact in the game can change, but
- 17:11Speaker 3: it's tough sport man. The pitchers are getting really good
- 17:13Speaker 3: at at finding the holes. I think you're going to
- 17:16Speaker 3: find that the hitting the hitters start to adjust back
- 17:20Speaker 3: to a little bit more play the game mode as
- 17:23Speaker 3: opposed to trying to hit every ball five hundred feet.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Agreed? And what about McGonagall.
- 17:27Speaker 3: He's awesome, he's been great. This camp are starting in
- 17:30Speaker 3: San Diego. And I don't know, I don't know. You
- 17:32Speaker 3: know these decisions you don't have, no, no, stop why
- 17:36Speaker 3: I'm not a manager, because I would just say it
- 17:38Speaker 3: not And if you didn't know, you wouldn't say it.
- 17:40Speaker 3: You know, No, you don't, you don't. This is where
- 17:42Speaker 3: you're wrong. You're you have to.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Wait when you're gonna make you guys leave on Saturday,
- 17:47Speaker 1: that's five days from now.
- 17:48Speaker 2: You're gonna make that decision in three days from now.
- 17:51Speaker 3: No, we have we have the off day in Arizona,
- 17:54Speaker 3: we have two games against the Rockies. We have an
- 17:55Speaker 3: off day before San Diego. So decisions aren't made emotionally,
- 17:59Speaker 3: like you're coming out at me about making it now
- 18:02Speaker 3: because you want to know. There's no benefit of making
- 18:04Speaker 3: the decision now. Gather more information, put a little bit
- 18:07Speaker 3: more in front of him.
- 18:08Speaker 2: He's got to pack his stuff, he's gonna.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Have he's going, he's gonna go with us to Arizona
- 18:11Speaker 3: like there. He's gonna finish spring training regardless, and we're
- 18:15Speaker 3: gonna make the decision when we need to. I mean,
- 18:16Speaker 3: there's nothing pressing outside of this question that would like
- 18:21Speaker 3: pause us to even care about making the decisions.
- 18:24Speaker 5: So back off, dude, back Okay, Well, then I'll ask
- 18:28Speaker 5: you the next pressing question. How much are you going
- 18:31Speaker 5: to be glued to the screen when kaider Mantero takes
- 18:34Speaker 5: the mound? And how many pitchs? How many pitches is
- 18:37Speaker 5: your guy gonna be a throw tonight?
- 18:39Speaker 3: Yeah, every pitch I'm gonna watch, and I did for
- 18:41Speaker 3: Terrek and de Jesus, who's been incredible for Team Venezuela.
- 18:44Speaker 3: He put him on the forty in the middle of
- 18:46Speaker 3: all this, he got on our forty. Man, he's still
- 18:49Speaker 3: exactly you get on the forty Like it's not that easy,
- 18:51Speaker 3: but there there's you know there. I watch all these
- 18:54Speaker 3: glabor you know, is it bats against Yamamoto?
- 18:57Speaker 7: Was?
- 18:57Speaker 4: They were awesome?
- 18:59Speaker 3: So I'm glued to the TV as a fan I'm
- 19:01Speaker 3: also as as their manager. But you know, right now,
- 19:04Speaker 3: Cater's at that like three inning, fifty pitch count, Mark,
- 19:08Speaker 3: I think he's going to start the game. Omar and
- 19:09Speaker 3: I are really close to their manager. I had him
- 19:11Speaker 3: in Houston, and you know he's gonna piece together the
- 19:15Speaker 3: game and Cater's gonna go first and to get out
- 19:19Speaker 3: of the gate hot. I mean, he's he's got nasty stuff.
- 19:21Speaker 3: He was really good in the playoffs for us. This
- 19:23Speaker 3: one time through the order, three inning burst is a
- 19:25Speaker 3: perfect role for him, given the stuff that he has,
- 19:29Speaker 3: and that's what I expect tonight.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Any thoughts on what Diro went through, which part about
- 19:35Speaker 1: the whole misspoken and you know, I mean the lineup stuff.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Is the lineup like he Yeah, there's some people don't understand.
- 19:42Speaker 1: He's given parameters. And you know this because I'm sure
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm sure you and Scott Harris have called him and said, hey, Deiro, listen, man,
- 19:47Speaker 1: like this guy can only do this and this and this,
- 19:49Speaker 1: and our relievers can only do this in this and
- 19:51Speaker 1: you called Omar and probably said, hesus, hey, this is
- 19:54Speaker 1: what he needs to do right to get ready for spring.
- 19:56Speaker 2: And they're fighting all this forget forget that far.
- 19:58Speaker 3: He's super stressed about the Bregman Henderson's decision. I mean last,
- 20:03Speaker 3: by the way, but let me tell you that's a
- 20:05Speaker 3: tough one.
- 20:06Speaker 1: But you know what I'm talking about, the feelings of yes,
- 20:08Speaker 1: second guessing you you say something because you're out there.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah, So it kind of mirrors what we go through
- 20:13Speaker 3: every day. Like we know as managers, the criticism is
- 20:16Speaker 3: part of the gig. Like we are here to protect
- 20:18Speaker 3: the players, we're also here to take all the criticism
- 20:22Speaker 3: when things don't go your way, like whenever something happens
- 20:25Speaker 3: the other way would have obviously worked out, Like that's
- 20:27Speaker 3: that's the that's the what we live in for one
- 20:29Speaker 3: hundred and sixty two games plus the playoffs. I think
- 20:32Speaker 3: we're where the fans and most of us out outside
- 20:35Speaker 3: of that clubhouse don't know those parameters. They don't know
- 20:39Speaker 3: what their restrictions are, like you don't know, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 3: even restrictions. We think of them as holding guys back.
- 20:45Speaker 3: It's also pushing guy like like there are guys that
- 20:47Speaker 3: can't pitch on this team because you can't promise them
- 20:50Speaker 3: four and five ups because it's not it's not a
- 20:52Speaker 3: spring training game. And so when you know, inheriting runners
- 20:56Speaker 3: or can Ken Mason Miller go three of five, like
- 20:59Speaker 3: that stuff's not cited by the manager, and so that
- 21:03Speaker 3: he is put in a really, really really tough spot.
- 21:05Speaker 3: And and the nuances of this job you only really
- 21:09Speaker 3: get by being in the job.
- 21:11Speaker 4: And so it's not d Ro's fault for.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Trying to navigate these things the best he can with
- 21:18Speaker 3: with a lot of unspoken things that are you know,
- 21:21Speaker 3: that are on his plate that shouldn't be spoken about.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Like I don't think that everybody should know every restriction
- 21:27Speaker 3: or every situation or every you know, complaint box that
- 21:31Speaker 3: he gets from a manager because his guy's not playing,
- 21:33Speaker 3: or his guy's hitting too low in the order, or
- 21:35Speaker 3: his guys you know, getting pinch hit for or whatever.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Like it's it's not an exact science in general. And
- 21:42Speaker 3: then in tenfold for for d Ro Timios.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Before before we let you go, I just want to say,
- 21:46Speaker 2: can I give me a watch?
- 21:48Speaker 1: Maybe you've given watches to every manager in the WBC,
- 21:51Speaker 1: almost every manager in the big leagues.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Can I Can I get me a boss watch?
- 21:55Speaker 3: No, I'll give Crats one. Maybe he can he can
- 21:58Speaker 3: give you one. Give Krats one.
- 21:59Speaker 4: I'll give Braun one. You got a little bit of
- 22:02Speaker 4: work to do here because my.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Name is better than fine. Yeah, Pelo got one.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Cratch one's in the mail for you, brother, appreciate too, Thanks, Thanks,
- 22:18Speaker 3: good luck this year.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Here we are with Kerry Carpenter, the official owner of
- 22:32Speaker 1: George Kirby. I know we're not going to talk about that,
- 22:34Speaker 1: but if you haven't seen his numbers against George Kirby,
- 22:38Speaker 1: uh yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 2: It's like every swings of Homer.
- 22:43Speaker 4: It seems to me either a homer or a strikeout.
- 22:45Speaker 8: He's gotten me a couple of times too, so first
- 22:47Speaker 8: and bad in that game, he punched me out with
- 22:49Speaker 8: ninety nine at the top, so he's he's pretty dang good.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Then all I do was make you mad, so then
- 22:54Speaker 2: you're like, okay, I'll get him again.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, no, that was a fun one.
- 22:58Speaker 8: And it's fun to battle guys like that because he's
- 23:00Speaker 8: so good and he pounds his own, so it's it's
- 23:03Speaker 8: it's fun.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah. How's how's camp going here in Lakeland? So far?
- 23:06Speaker 6: For you?
- 23:06Speaker 8: It's good? Lakeland is paradise. Like we were talking, thank you,
- 23:09Speaker 8: I mean Hinch.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Hinch said, No one likes Central Florida off here now
- 23:12Speaker 1: here we are and we have two guys from central Florida. Exactly,
- 23:15Speaker 1: how can you not love? It's like seventy degrees. I
- 23:18Speaker 1: can I have a hoodie on just because I have
- 23:20Speaker 1: thin blood. Carrie has the Flee song or No, it's
- 23:23Speaker 1: just I've been getting warmed up. I'm all good to go.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly now.
- 23:27Speaker 8: But camp's been good. It's been fun to get a
- 23:29Speaker 8: lot of at bats. They take care of us here,
- 23:31Speaker 8: so it's kind of crazy. We're getting ready to leave
- 23:34Speaker 8: this weekend, so it's coming quickly.
- 23:37Speaker 6: What do you need? What does that mean? You get
- 23:39Speaker 6: a lot of at bats? Like, what do you need.
- 23:41Speaker 5: As a pseudo established big leagueer slash budding superstar?
- 23:49Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 23:50Speaker 8: I like it. I think you hit the nail on
- 23:52Speaker 8: the head. I just need a lot of at bats. Personally,
- 23:54Speaker 8: I feel like the more at bats I get, the
- 23:57Speaker 8: more I figure it out. The more I mean, I
- 23:59Speaker 8: could take DEEPVP in the cage or on the field
- 24:02Speaker 8: all day and I'll.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Never really figure out if something's wrong. I can.
- 24:06Speaker 8: I feel like I can manipulate the ball on VP,
- 24:08Speaker 8: but whenever it's it's the bullets are flying in the game.
- 24:13Speaker 4: I feel like that is what will expose me.
- 24:15Speaker 8: And so just learning through at bats in the game
- 24:20Speaker 8: and getting a lot either in the games or on.
- 24:23Speaker 4: The backfields doing lives. It's been good this spring.
- 24:26Speaker 1: How many bests does it take you? How many best
- 24:28Speaker 1: would you like before the season starts.
- 24:30Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 24:31Speaker 8: I don't know if I figure out a number, but
- 24:34Speaker 8: I would say twenty to thirty. And then I start
- 24:37Speaker 8: getting really comfortable, like I can start start understanding the
- 24:41Speaker 8: zone more again. I can start, you know, formulating a
- 24:45Speaker 8: real approach and like seeing the different arm angles that
- 24:48Speaker 8: guys are coming with. I think I would say I
- 24:51Speaker 8: would say twenty to thirty or more because it takes
- 24:53Speaker 8: me a little bit.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Do you are you a minor league get back guy?
- 24:56Speaker 2: Do you count those?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Inch comes you and says, hey, we need you to
- 24:59Speaker 1: go get twelve at bats in the minor leagues?
- 25:01Speaker 2: You count those?
- 25:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I do, and.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Then you're like one hundred of you.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Team goes on the road, You go to Hinch and
- 25:08Speaker 1: you say, hey, Skip, I'd like to get some of the bats,
- 25:12Speaker 1: and then he runs you on four different fields and you
- 25:13Speaker 1: get about twenty at bats.
- 25:15Speaker 4: I love doing that.
- 25:17Speaker 8: I personally take live at bats like it's a real game,
- 25:20Speaker 8: like I can, I can get up for for live
- 25:24Speaker 8: at bats. I know some people pictures especially, you know,
- 25:27Speaker 8: I can't necessarily get the adournaline going for those, but
- 25:31Speaker 8: I love it. I think it's for me. It's a
- 25:34Speaker 8: real at bats. So I love seeing the ball just
- 25:37Speaker 8: come out of a picture's hand.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Do you talk trash to say you take one of them? Deep?
- 25:43Speaker 8: No, I haven't yet, but but you gotta flip on him.
- 25:47Speaker 4: I haven't yet on that either.
- 25:49Speaker 8: Some I mean, I'm not, you know, hitting homers every
- 25:52Speaker 8: at bat against god thing, But yeah, yeah, you're right,
- 25:57Speaker 8: you're right, But no, I don't. Sometimes they're like, you know,
- 26:00Speaker 8: play and don't run the bases. That's kind of a
- 26:02Speaker 8: weird feeling. But no, it's been good.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Oh you dropped the I'm a big leaguer because you
- 26:06Speaker 1: only have the one flap helmet.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Do you like I don't have to run the bases, Guys.
- 26:10Speaker 4: I don't do what I'm told. I just do what
- 26:12Speaker 4: i'm told.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Okay, you don't.
- 26:14Speaker 5: Seem like somebody talks any trash ever. But if you
- 26:17Speaker 5: hit a live at bad against your teammates, is there
- 26:20Speaker 5: a little bit like that smile. You can't say I'm
- 26:22Speaker 5: sorry and have that smile that you have. But do
- 26:25Speaker 5: you talk a little bit against those against your own teammates.
- 26:29Speaker 4: A little bit? I just like I can't bring.
- 26:32Speaker 8: Myself to do it all the time because I would
- 26:35Speaker 8: feel so bad because they could punch me out easily
- 26:38Speaker 8: the next at bat.
- 26:38Speaker 4: So I always I'm always careful with what I say.
- 26:42Speaker 8: But uh, it's fun to kind of job back and forth,
- 26:45Speaker 8: you know, Like I've done it with Casey before. I've
- 26:47Speaker 8: hit a homer off the end, but he's struck me
- 26:48Speaker 8: out a couple of times. So he's fun to go
- 26:50Speaker 8: back and forth.
- 26:51Speaker 1: What about if you get a hit you're facing Schooble,
- 26:54Speaker 1: even if he tells you what's.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Coming and you hit just a rocket somewhere, you.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Just, yeah, I'm about it.
- 26:59Speaker 8: I'm might never let him forget about that one right now.
- 27:02Speaker 8: I'm all for one with a pretty bad strike out
- 27:05Speaker 8: against Schooble.
- 27:05Speaker 2: So in life, Yeah, that was this year, that was
- 27:08Speaker 2: last year.
- 27:09Speaker 8: Yeah, a little change up. Thought it was a heater
- 27:11Speaker 8: right down the middle and end up bouncing and I
- 27:13Speaker 8: saw it. So he's, uh, he's tough, and I'm glad,
- 27:16Speaker 8: you know, I'm glad he's on my team.
- 27:18Speaker 6: So there's no such thing as a bad strike out.
- 27:21Speaker 5: They're all equal one, Mike, you might think it looks bad,
- 27:24Speaker 5: they're all they all look like exactly. They going the
- 27:26Speaker 5: same column. But I got a questions for you because
- 27:28Speaker 5: one of our people behind the scenes said, you have
- 27:32Speaker 5: your above way above league average in your third time
- 27:36Speaker 5: through seeing a pitcher.
- 27:39Speaker 6: Is there something to that?
- 27:40Speaker 5: Is there something that you're like, Man, if I just
- 27:42Speaker 5: see this guy a little bit more, if I could
- 27:44Speaker 5: get a little bit a few more at bats, and
- 27:46Speaker 5: is that something that can be solved for you off
- 27:48Speaker 5: of traject pregame.
- 27:52Speaker 8: Yeah, to answer the traject question first, I like to
- 27:57Speaker 8: do traject to see kind of pitch shapes if I
- 27:59Speaker 8: haven't seeing a guy before.
- 28:01Speaker 4: But I I.
- 28:03Speaker 8: Don't know why, but I have a kind of a
- 28:05Speaker 8: photographic memory when it comes to seeing pitches and how
- 28:09Speaker 8: it comes out of the hand. And so I feel
- 28:12Speaker 8: like the more that I face a guy, I feel
- 28:15Speaker 8: like even if I'm over to or two strikeouts off
- 28:17Speaker 8: the guy and I get a guy the third time,
- 28:19Speaker 8: I still feel pretty confident because I just think the
- 28:24Speaker 8: more I see somebody, the more comfortable I get even
- 28:27Speaker 8: if he's had success before. So I really just I
- 28:32Speaker 8: like seeing guys more than once.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I will admit.
- 28:35Speaker 1: That's why you were an Eastern League Player of the
- 28:36Speaker 1: Month back in May two. By the way, I bet
- 28:39Speaker 1: you never won that award.
- 28:42Speaker 6: Not a chance.
- 28:44Speaker 4: You got to go into the depths to find that.
- 28:48Speaker 2: It's not as wikipedia. He also said he was good
- 28:50Speaker 2: Golf Coast League player of the week.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I did brag about that.
- 28:52Speaker 2: That was like, that wasn't even a humble brag. That
- 28:54Speaker 2: was a big brag. Like few of us played in.
- 28:57Speaker 4: The golf exactly exactly, so, I.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Mean some of us were seventeen so much for twenty one?
- 29:02Speaker 4: What league?
- 29:03Speaker 1: But where you're at in your career, Kratzy, how can
- 29:06Speaker 1: this team get past where you guys have gone in
- 29:09Speaker 1: the last couple of years?
- 29:10Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 29:10Speaker 1: The ultimate goal obviously to win a World Series. Last year,
- 29:14Speaker 1: you guys beat the thing happened in September.
- 29:18Speaker 2: But then you get revenge.
- 29:19Speaker 1: You beat Cleveland in the wildcard, then you go to
- 29:21Speaker 1: Seattle and just have an epic series that.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Didn't end the way y'all want it.
- 29:25Speaker 1: How do you guys get to the next step, which
- 29:27Speaker 1: is obviously LCS World Series eighty four, you know, restore
- 29:32Speaker 1: the roar in eighty four.
- 29:34Speaker 2: How do you get to that next level?
- 29:36Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 29:37Speaker 8: I mean, I think that everything we've done in the offseason,
- 29:40Speaker 8: bringing in guys like Framber and JV again, but the
- 29:45Speaker 8: at least speaking from my experience with the offense, I
- 29:48Speaker 8: think that we were so close that Game five, we're
- 29:53Speaker 8: hat runners on, we were threatening, and one hit goes
- 29:57Speaker 8: our way or one at back goes our way.
- 29:59Speaker 4: And we do make the LCS.
- 30:00Speaker 8: And so I think realizing that we're we're not that
- 30:04Speaker 8: far away. We've we've come so close, and it's just
- 30:08Speaker 8: like little things on the margins that are gonna, you know,
- 30:11Speaker 8: help us get there this time, and just believing that
- 30:15Speaker 8: we can do it going out and trusting the work
- 30:18Speaker 8: that we've put in in spring training. I mean it
- 30:20Speaker 8: starts in February and going for eight months straight. It's like,
- 30:25Speaker 8: I think this time around, if we have another opportunity
- 30:29Speaker 8: and then Wildcard Series or DS, I think we've had
- 30:33Speaker 8: the experience. Now, we've been in those those tough situations
- 30:36Speaker 8: and we've come out on the losing end twice. But
- 30:39Speaker 8: I think that everybody is more confident now than we've
- 30:42Speaker 8: ever been.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Can you take a confidence from the first half of
- 30:46Speaker 5: the season offensively throughout the season, there's there's something like,
- 30:51Speaker 5: did you guys run it too hot early and go
- 30:54Speaker 5: who we got kind of gassed? Or was it something
- 30:56Speaker 5: that you guys changed your approach or you didn't change
- 30:59Speaker 5: your app There's so many different angles that we from
- 31:02Speaker 5: the outside look at it and go, this is one
- 31:04Speaker 5: of the better offenses in the game, and it didn't
- 31:07Speaker 5: quite happen after the All.
- 31:08Speaker 6: Star break anymore.
- 31:10Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean I can speak for myself in that regard, because, yeah,
- 31:17Speaker 8: we had a ton of guys that were super hoth early.
- 31:22Speaker 8: For me, I kind of was the opposite. I wasn't
- 31:25Speaker 8: great the first half of the year, and then I
- 31:27Speaker 8: came off the I l at the end of July
- 31:29Speaker 8: and and and had a better end too my my
- 31:32Speaker 8: personal season. So it's it's something that you know, as
- 31:39Speaker 8: a team, we need to The best teams are are consistent,
- 31:42Speaker 8: they're good all year. They don't go through those prolonged
- 31:45Speaker 8: slumps like we did in September.
- 31:48Speaker 2: By the way, just pull you guys didn't hear the call.
- 31:51Speaker 8: I thought I heard something, but but yeah, electric.
- 31:57Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 31:58Speaker 8: And uh, but I think it's just a consistency, like
- 32:03Speaker 8: you're mentioning. Fine, I think as a as a team
- 32:06Speaker 8: we need to find it. As individual players, we need
- 32:09Speaker 8: to find it. And so by going through that last
- 32:11Speaker 8: year exposed us all and so I think that we
- 32:14Speaker 8: are better off for it, and we can make adjustments
- 32:18Speaker 8: now that we've been through it.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, before we let you go, Alan Tram While
- 32:21Speaker 1: I was just talking to Alan Trump, who's awesome when
- 32:23Speaker 1: he was a coach that I had in the Fall
- 32:26Speaker 1: League and just obviously a Hall of Fame or Hall
- 32:28Speaker 1: of Fame person.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Great guy.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I mentioned the eighty four team and the last team
- 32:32Speaker 1: for the Tigers to win the World What would it
- 32:34Speaker 1: mean if you guys to the city of Detroit, if
- 32:36Speaker 1: you guys were the team that could finally get him
- 32:38Speaker 1: to stop talking about eighty four and talk about this
- 32:41Speaker 1: wave of Detroit Tigers.
- 32:42Speaker 8: Yeah, we had like a forty year anniversary with the
- 32:45Speaker 8: eighty four team a couple of years ago, and they
- 32:46Speaker 8: were all like, all right, it's your turn. I need
- 32:48Speaker 8: to stop talking about us. But I think for the city,
- 32:53Speaker 8: it's amazing. It's a great sports city. The fans are
- 32:56Speaker 8: so supportive. I mean even just the last couple of years,
- 33:00Speaker 8: like the second half of twenty four and then all
- 33:02Speaker 8: of last year. It's it's been a completely different just
- 33:06Speaker 8: vibe in the city with us doing well, the Piston's
- 33:09Speaker 8: doing well, the Lions and the Red Wings are doing well.
- 33:12Speaker 8: So it's just like when the city rallies around us
- 33:15Speaker 8: like that, I can't imagine what it's going to be
- 33:18Speaker 8: like if we can make a run at it.
- 33:20Speaker 4: And and win the World Series this year.
- 33:22Speaker 8: I think it would be an unbelievable accomplishment. But for
- 33:28Speaker 8: the city, I just think they would they would wrap
- 33:31Speaker 8: they wrap their arms around the eighty fourteen forever. So
- 33:34Speaker 8: it's like it would be cool for that to happen
- 33:36Speaker 8: to us, to Schoogle, to Berlin, or to all the
- 33:38Speaker 8: guys that that really deserve one.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Well, they do a Kerry Carpenter Day if you guys win.
- 33:44Speaker 1: In Eustace. They have a parade of if you down
- 33:47Speaker 1: the street in Eustace.
- 33:48Speaker 8: They haven't mentioned it yet, but I'm saying, if you
- 33:51Speaker 8: guys win, But I mean, I don't know if I'm
- 33:54Speaker 8: making that decision, but I haven't.
- 33:57Speaker 4: I would say no, but maybe maybe.
- 33:59Speaker 2: We'll that'd be a key to the city.
- 34:01Speaker 8: This is growing, it's it's not as much of a
- 34:04Speaker 8: small town anymore. So I don't know how many people
- 34:06Speaker 8: know me around there, but it's uh, it's I love that.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Last time I was there there was a sign that
- 34:11Speaker 2: said home of Kerry Caerverenter.
- 34:13Speaker 4: I don't know if I believe you, no, but it'll
- 34:17Speaker 4: always be home, so it would be cool.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Well, Kerry, thank you very much, thanks for joining us
- 34:21Speaker 1: to They have a great season.
