- 0:26Speaker 5: down again? You want frank me down down? Come to
- 0:30Speaker 5: f come to pet it comes to Mark.
- 0:33Speaker 6: Is it just y?
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it again.
- 0:39Speaker 5: I'm gonna go on the way you began.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I be listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I am the Sports Shock Wayne Candy all y'all overreacting,
- 0:53Speaker 1: slow down. It's just preseason. Relax. Everybody want to move
- 0:59Speaker 1: and try raid. And I've read they want to fire
- 1:02Speaker 1: the Cleveland Brown's coach because he said, you know, we
- 1:05Speaker 1: got a lot of things to work on. I mean,
- 1:08Speaker 1: the overreaction Monday or whatever Sunday right after the game
- 1:13Speaker 1: is just in effect. And that is the new sports.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Sports is just one of those things. And maybe I'll
- 1:21Speaker 1: be missing it in other avenues and just not paying attention,
- 1:25Speaker 1: but it's one of the few things that I've ever witnessed.
- 1:28Speaker 7: The only thing really where.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Everybody sees themselves as some expert gosh, it is the
- 1:36Speaker 1: is the and if you know some other thing where
- 1:39Speaker 1: everybody think comedy, they're expert comedy. Oh okay, that's what
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'm saying. Everybody thinks they everybody think they know how
- 1:47Speaker 1: to tell it. Man, you know what you should have said,
- 1:49Speaker 1: Oh I've been doing this year. But it's people that
- 1:58Speaker 1: play sports, because I think sometimes it's just like comedy.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It's one of those things where you don't see the
- 2:08Speaker 1: PhD on the wall, so you're not actually recognizing that
- 2:16Speaker 1: the people that can make it to that shield, they
- 2:21Speaker 1: have a PhD in what they're doing. The people in
- 2:27Speaker 1: college have a master's degree, yes, yes, and what they're doing,
- 2:32Speaker 1: and those guys in high school they have a bachelor's degree.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But since you can't see the PhD, you have lessened
- 2:45Speaker 1: what it takes. Because we and some of us, because
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's our personality, and we have the ability of Google,
- 2:52Speaker 1: like to argue with the heart surgeon and tell him
- 2:56Speaker 1: that the surgery shouldn't take four hours because you know,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I Googled. It doesn't matter.
- 3:05Speaker 7: Now you're sitting there.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Trying to vacularly. I don't even know how to pronounce
- 3:16Speaker 1: the surgery you're doing, but the stuff And let me
- 3:21Speaker 1: ask you, is that a condition?
- 3:23Speaker 8: Is that like an actual mental some sort of psychological
- 3:27Speaker 8: condition where people love to sound smart, they argue because
- 3:31Speaker 8: they love to sound informed. And if you have a point,
- 3:35Speaker 8: if I can undermine that point and prove a different
- 3:38Speaker 8: I mean, because I know people who will just argue
- 3:41Speaker 8: you for hours.
- 3:43Speaker 7: About cut dry established fact and what. I think. It's
- 3:51Speaker 7: a genetic thing. I think we are.
- 3:54Speaker 1: As I get older, I start realizing that as much
- 3:57Speaker 1: as we try to flush away as the makeup of
- 4:02Speaker 1: our mind and body and emotions. As we were talking
- 4:05Speaker 1: about air, they just we see something and we completely
- 4:12Speaker 1: dismissed and decide we can do it. And the most
- 4:16Speaker 1: you know, I could have I could have built the
- 4:17Speaker 1: Hoover dam. Of course you could have by yourself, of
- 4:20Speaker 1: course by yourself, and it would cost less too less time.
- 4:24Speaker 7: And this is the thing, because you know.
- 4:25Speaker 1: They was using it, and they could have seen if
- 4:27Speaker 1: they had went up here and they moved that aqueduct
- 4:30Speaker 1: over there.
- 4:31Speaker 7: Wait, how you spare aquedix?
- 4:34Speaker 1: This is the thing that frustrated you never.
- 4:39Speaker 7: Took it up there.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I know these coyotes and these bears and all that
- 4:43Speaker 1: stuff is out here trying to kill me at night.
- 4:46Speaker 1: But if they see if they had done that, it
- 4:48Speaker 1: would have just then I would have got the water
- 4:50Speaker 1: down the Phoenix faster.
- 4:51Speaker 7: And this is the thing, those kinds of commons. You know,
- 4:54Speaker 7: I stayed at a holiday inn first night, and.
- 4:57Speaker 8: This those kind of comments come from people that you
- 5:00Speaker 8: think would be smarter than that. I say all the time,
- 5:03Speaker 8: it's hard to tell smart people they don't know stuff.
- 5:06Speaker 8: So when you tell a smart person no, that's not
- 5:08Speaker 8: they oh, no, you know, I got it this and
- 5:10Speaker 8: I've been and you still don't. That still ain't got
- 5:13Speaker 8: nothing to do with the aqueduct, That's all I'm saying.
- 5:16Speaker 1: And I'm saying that because soon as some of these games,
- 5:19Speaker 1: especially with the most high profile name in the draft,
- 5:26Speaker 1: forget that Travis Hunter or cam Ward or any of
- 5:30Speaker 1: those other guys also played this weekend, everybody, everybody who
- 5:35Speaker 1: got shador Sanders and they just went on. I say, well,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you know, if you heard my show, you'd have hurt
- 5:43Speaker 1: me trying to tell him to take advantage of this opportunity.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I think this is a great time. And then soon
- 5:49Speaker 1: as I went to tell them. Well, you do know
- 5:52Speaker 1: that was him performing more against the guys that would
- 5:57Speaker 1: be seen on his level, a whole judgment until the
- 6:03Speaker 1: corners that are going to play on the field, the linebackers.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Because when you watch these games, and I try to
- 6:12Speaker 1: express this to people based on your philosophy, the Kansas
- 6:17Speaker 1: City Chiefs, with all their success, and to Reid, if
- 6:22Speaker 1: you're healthy as a starter, still plays you in game one, like,
- 6:27Speaker 1: let's go out and do some stuff. Yeah. Other teams
- 6:32Speaker 1: would take that same Kansas City squad and they you
- 6:36Speaker 1: wouldn't see Patrick Homes until game maybe the third preseason game,
- 6:42Speaker 1: and he'll come out series of down and they would
- 6:45Speaker 1: run the ball on eight of the nine plays he
- 6:49Speaker 1: was out there. He'll throw a screen on that ninth
- 6:52Speaker 1: and that would be what he did. That's just the
- 6:54Speaker 1: different philosophy. So I thought should do it just so
- 6:58Speaker 1: I can answer this for the nine hundred times I
- 7:01Speaker 1: thought the young man played well. He showed poise, he
- 7:06Speaker 1: moved around and pocket I thought he was a quality
- 7:10Speaker 1: quarterback in college. But when you watched him, he still
- 7:14Speaker 1: had that same little thing with his arm, same as
- 7:17Speaker 1: cam Ward. The ball kind of just gets there, don't
- 7:23Speaker 1: It Just gets there.
- 7:25Speaker 8: Oh, but now he go, look at what Skip Bailey said.
- 7:29Speaker 8: And then if you go, no, did you see did
- 7:31Speaker 8: you see Ojo? And last night they said? And then
- 7:35Speaker 8: and then if you look at ESPN after dark and
- 7:38Speaker 8: then Sports Illustrated and the New York Times said, and
- 7:42Speaker 8: everybody said.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And then I asked him, who is everybody? The people
- 7:47Speaker 1: that say, who were all these people? They are against
- 7:51Speaker 1: your door, sander, Oh, the folks that made him get
- 7:54Speaker 1: picked one hundred and forty four. All y'all was against
- 7:57Speaker 1: him united. He then showed out, he embarrassed all of
- 7:59Speaker 1: it NFL and y'all unwilling to admit it. Look, look
- 8:02Speaker 1: here go somebody else who said it.
- 8:05Speaker 7: So it couldn't have.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So if I go and do my job as a scout,
- 8:10Speaker 1: because I want to keep my job too. And you
- 8:14Speaker 1: gave me these two sheets in grades, you know, twenty
- 8:18Speaker 1: questions about evaluation, and you told me to give him
- 8:23Speaker 1: a grade in these things. I came back in hand.
- 8:25Speaker 1: That means that I'm against him. All y'all was against him.
- 8:29Speaker 1: All y'all, you the one that put all that negative
- 8:32Speaker 1: stuff in their head, and that that man, y'all know
- 8:34Speaker 1: that man should have been the number one pick of
- 8:35Speaker 1: the draft, and now he didn't embarrass the whole NFL
- 8:38Speaker 1: and everybody ought to be fired this season. Well no,
- 8:40Speaker 1: it says, if you're only six one, you get a C. No, No,
- 8:44Speaker 1: he see look look look what look what that's what?
- 8:47Speaker 1: Look what said?
- 8:48Speaker 7: Look what?
- 8:52Speaker 1: Skip said it? Yeah, because you know how them touchdown
- 8:55Speaker 1: Skip car back in the late said seats out there?
- 8:59Speaker 1: Do you know how many skip baylist videos I got?
- 9:01Speaker 1: This weekend?
- 9:02Speaker 8: He made some sort of comment about I told y'all,
- 9:06Speaker 8: I told y'all, and not an NFL out of be embarrassed.
- 9:09Speaker 8: And everybody somehow got a hold of that video who
- 9:14Speaker 8: supports Shador Sanders and has had conversations with me or
- 9:19Speaker 8: listen to this show about us saying temper your excitement,
- 9:23Speaker 8: And they all, every single one of them, sent me
- 9:27Speaker 8: that video.
- 9:28Speaker 7: It's about fourteen minutes.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Like I was gonna sit there and watch a fourteen
- 9:32Speaker 1: minute video sixty three freaking times. And I'm just saying
- 9:37Speaker 1: it was one game, bro, he did good. And when
- 9:41Speaker 1: I said your boy did show out, that wasn't enough.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Oh but see, y'all, Oh what is it with you
- 9:49Speaker 1: don't know this.
- 9:50Speaker 7: Man like that? I don't know.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I don't, I said, I don't really sit with people
- 9:54Speaker 1: that's against your doer. A lot of people just feel
- 9:57Speaker 1: like we overreact. We give his dad a lot of limelight.
- 10:04Speaker 1: And I was explaining that I would ask him like, well,
- 10:09Speaker 1: you know when when Dion I was about to say,
- 10:13Speaker 1: she do what she door? Was there too when they
- 10:16Speaker 1: played in the game here for the national title. They
- 10:21Speaker 1: lost both times this city, and I would say, well,
- 10:25Speaker 1: who are the coaches that beat them? And then and
- 10:29Speaker 1: I would tell them that was the reason the little
- 10:31Speaker 1: sentiment from the coaches came, because I can go out
- 10:36Speaker 1: and beat you and you still won't talk about me
- 10:42Speaker 1: to certain people that beat you in.
- 10:44Speaker 8: The championship game, not just beat you today game number
- 10:49Speaker 8: six of the season.
- 10:50Speaker 7: I got to the championship just like you.
- 10:53Speaker 8: With with without a son that everybody's talking about, without
- 10:57Speaker 8: a number one recruit that everybody's talking about.
- 11:01Speaker 7: And I beat all of y'all.
- 11:03Speaker 8: I beat all of you, and nobody even remembers the school,
- 11:07Speaker 8: the school.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Or the coach or the coach that you have to
- 11:10Speaker 1: still google it. And we're sitting here and I'm saying
- 11:15Speaker 1: and that to people in their profession, especially the minds
- 11:20Speaker 1: of coaches. Where the accolade is supposed to go with
- 11:24Speaker 1: the winning. You're talking about occupation that is still based
- 11:29Speaker 1: on winning the you know, the to the victor go
- 11:32Speaker 1: to spoils.
- 11:34Speaker 7: Yes, but we lose.
- 11:37Speaker 1: In ninety nine, only newspaper over here is the South
- 11:41Speaker 1: Carolina Post Gazette that's saying city.
- 11:45Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 1: The another ninety nine reporters in your locker room asking you,
- 11:50Speaker 1: and it didn't say South Carolina State one. It says
- 11:53Speaker 1: Jackson State falls to South Carolina State. They still got
- 11:58Speaker 1: mentioned first, the state falls to South Carolina State.
- 12:02Speaker 7: With more than sports doc show right after this, I told.

- 14:45Speaker 15: game to the next level.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sportshock Wing
- 15:16Speaker 1: Candy command you Greg Big Kenny the funny Man himself
- 15:21Speaker 1: in the building. As you know, we're on really the
- 15:26Speaker 1: eve of college football kicking off. I mean, we are
- 15:30Speaker 1: two weeks away. I'm quite sure about two weeks somebody,
- 15:34Speaker 1: some college teams gonna kick the ball off. I just
- 15:36Speaker 1: can I can bet them odd. It might not be
- 15:40Speaker 1: all the big Granddaddy's, the big names, but somebody gonna
- 15:44Speaker 1: kick a football off. Somebody gonna kick college football with
- 15:47Speaker 1: somebody who was somewhere else last season, ain't gonna be
- 15:51Speaker 1: playing for a whole different team this season up until
- 15:54Speaker 1: about game three.
- 15:55Speaker 7: Then they go into another school.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And I brought that up because without the season even starting, Greg,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you got who's who's got the first game?
- 16:02Speaker 16: We got u five games on August twenty third. The
- 16:09Speaker 16: first one officially is Iowa State and Kansas State. Okay,
- 16:12Speaker 16: and that's in there in Ireland. That's the team teams
- 16:15Speaker 16: playing in Ireland. Oh boy, that's a lot of money. Boy,
- 16:20Speaker 16: they treat them so good.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I mean, then you're out here trying to cut stuff
- 16:25Speaker 1: off to get that that nine thousand dollars ticket to Ireland.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get to South de km Moss
- 16:34Speaker 1: or the Irish Irish bub You talking about the whole
- 16:39Speaker 1: and this is Iowa.
- 16:40Speaker 7: State, Kansas state.
- 16:41Speaker 5: This ain't no to Dame.
- 16:45Speaker 7: This is not no the name Ohio state.
- 16:47Speaker 1: In Ireland, they flying, they let them live and they're
- 16:52Speaker 1: living one.
- 16:54Speaker 7: I've been to Ireland trip, I've been. It's not a
- 17:00Speaker 7: cheap visit.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I mean, they thought they were doing something, sending us
- 17:03Speaker 1: down the temple at the Hall of Fame Bowl stuff
- 17:06Speaker 1: like that. Now you thought we were doing some busting, busting,
- 17:10Speaker 1: bust to the peach bowl. And now you think back,
- 17:13Speaker 1: how you are you think back how you bragged about it?
- 17:16Speaker 9: Man?
- 17:16Speaker 1: They had us on the chart of the bus all
- 17:19Speaker 1: the way to Subway Sandwiches as you when we get on.
- 17:24Speaker 1: We had the Yeah, they had the fruit, the chip cookie,
- 17:30Speaker 1: had a drink and everything with the green straw not
- 17:33Speaker 1: not the regular straw, green strap.
- 17:35Speaker 7: And you bragging about it. Not these guys are on some.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Al right, passengers, we've reached a cruise altitude. You can
- 17:47Speaker 1: remove your eyes, seat belts and feel freedom, move around
- 17:50Speaker 1: the cabin. We've got steak and shrimp in the forward.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Oh I just brought that up because sadly down in LSU,
- 18:03Speaker 1: Brian Kelly already having to deal and I'm quite sure
- 18:06Speaker 1: you guys probably saw this with the young freshman J. T.
- 18:10Speaker 7: Lindsey.
- 18:12Speaker 1: He surrendered after being accused of allowing murder suspects to
- 18:17Speaker 1: state in his dorm room. The eighteen year old now
- 18:23Speaker 1: is saying and trying to convince law enforcement that he
- 18:28Speaker 1: had no idea that his two good friends from his
- 18:33Speaker 1: hometown had committed second degree murder. The prosecutor is not
- 18:45Speaker 1: buying it. He feels or she feels that he would
- 18:53Speaker 1: have had knowledge because it simply because of the amount
- 18:56Speaker 1: of time since the murder. The murder I want to
- 19:00Speaker 1: say it happened back in like May, and the size
- 19:05Speaker 1: of the town now, I guess you know, because sometimes
- 19:08Speaker 1: I look at the bond. They did let him bond
- 19:10Speaker 1: at five thousand, so, which means there was a fifty
- 19:14Speaker 1: thousand dollars bond, so you have to pay ten percent.
- 19:19Speaker 7: Well a lot of Sometimes the lord of the bond
- 19:21Speaker 7: lets you.
- 19:22Speaker 8: Know the severity charges right, Well, it's charge based and
- 19:29Speaker 8: your flight risk is taken into consideration, so you don't
- 19:35Speaker 8: look like a flight risk. You aren't the person that
- 19:38Speaker 8: actually committed the crime. You're some sort of secondary tertiary involvement,
- 19:44Speaker 8: and possibly that has something to do with it. But still,
- 19:48Speaker 8: fifty thousand dollars a lot of bond have to come
- 19:50Speaker 8: up with ten percent five thousand dollars, and.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He's accused of allowing two individuals, seventeen year old Chaml
- 19:56Speaker 1: jacob An eighteen year old Keldrick Jordan wanted them murder
- 20:02Speaker 1: chargers murder charges live in his dorm room earlier in
- 20:06Speaker 1: the year. But some of the report and when you
- 20:10Speaker 1: look it up, you'll see that.
- 20:13Speaker 7: JT.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Lindsey, the running back at Lash, you had told a
- 20:16Speaker 1: couple of people. There's a couple of witnesses came up
- 20:20Speaker 1: and said that he had shared with them my boys
- 20:24Speaker 1: on the run, that the two guys on the run
- 20:27Speaker 1: and staying with him. He says he didn't have he
- 20:30Speaker 1: didn't know the size of the town and his age.
- 20:34Speaker 1: You're saying, with all the avenues of social media, some
- 20:39Speaker 1: you would have seen from.
- 20:41Speaker 8: Come on, man, I'm seventeen and eighteen on the run
- 20:44Speaker 8: for a murder. That's all we talk about every day.
- 20:46Speaker 8: And you know them folks after us and them folks
- 20:48Speaker 8: after us. Brother, Hey, you can tell a little shout it.
- 20:51Speaker 8: I'm only here a couple folks after me. You see
- 20:53Speaker 8: what I'm saying. I'm standing on business I'm ten toes down.
- 20:57Speaker 8: You know them people talked about.
- 20:58Speaker 7: That, Greg.
- 20:59Speaker 1: You think you knew?
- 21:00Speaker 7: Why are you moving into my head?
- 21:02Speaker 16: His They had his ID that that you would use
- 21:06Speaker 16: to get into No.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It's just boys though, which is boys. My boys came
- 21:10Speaker 1: to see me for for two months.
- 21:12Speaker 16: They had his ID on them to get into the
- 21:17Speaker 16: building like they he gave.
- 21:19Speaker 7: He gave them the ID you have to always buzz me.
- 21:22Speaker 7: So I thought I'd help him out.
- 21:24Speaker 8: I usually just when my friends come for the weekend,
- 21:28Speaker 8: they walk in and out with me.
- 21:29Speaker 16: But he said he was at training camp at the time,
- 21:31Speaker 16: so he thought they just he was not, okay, why
- 21:36Speaker 16: we call.
- 21:37Speaker 1: You Marshall services that are not buying it? And they
- 21:42Speaker 1: found out that was his locale. I don't even really,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I don't think the two gentlemen were arrested at that
- 21:49Speaker 1: particular spot. Uh, And I want to believe one of
- 21:52Speaker 1: the articles I read said that one of them maybe
- 21:57Speaker 1: mistakenly said he had been sting at Lindsey's apartment.
- 22:03Speaker 8: Mistakenly said look, boy, you're already going down for second
- 22:07Speaker 8: degree murder. You might as well give us your accomplished
- 22:10Speaker 8: because if you don't, that's gonna be an extra ten years.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Man, we would sayt LSU just on drag l s U.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And this is why I sometimes I tell people colleges
- 22:20Speaker 1: and companies and people get you're on the hook for everything,
- 22:24Speaker 1: because that's how the article started. LSU. Now, the university
- 22:29Speaker 1: and the head coach had nothing to do with this.
- 22:33Speaker 1: The player claims he ain't even now.
- 22:37Speaker 7: Greggs and that his ID. But but we've all given
- 22:42Speaker 7: people our ID. At my right. We'll be back more
- 22:44Speaker 7: to Sports Show right after this.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Every time about your play you run.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Right, you see my mons is playing when you run well?
- 22:59Speaker 10: John Boy, Wayne Or of the Sports Josh Show with
- 23:01Speaker 10: Wayne Dantidius.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Dumbing up next. Uh oh, Brad, that's buzzed.
- 23:07Speaker 7: Oh yeah yeah, he's starting with the woots.
- 23:11Speaker 5: And now a speech.
- 23:12Speaker 11: I just want to say that friendship is about heart,
- 23:16Speaker 11: heart and brain.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Who's with me?
- 23:18Speaker 17: Good thing is he knows when he's buzzed.
- 23:21Speaker 18: And my brain is saying, when it's time to go home, somebody.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Call me a ride.
- 23:25Speaker 19: Love that guy, me too, know your buzzed warning signs,
- 23:28Speaker 19: call for a ride when it's time to go home.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Buzz Driving is drunk driving.

- 24:45Speaker 3: In the Red Cel.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sword Shock Show. I'm the sworshock
- 25:30Speaker 1: Wing Candy. Good morning to you out there. We left
- 25:33Speaker 1: talking about LSU freshman running back J. T. Lindsay has
- 25:36Speaker 1: billed out. He turned himself in. He was accused of
- 25:39Speaker 1: harboring two murder suspects in his dorm room. They said
- 25:44Speaker 1: that when they checked the room they had stayed two weeks,
- 25:48Speaker 1: they found two AR fifteens. So I guess he has
- 25:54Speaker 1: a lot of things. He has the clear of of
- 25:56Speaker 1: who AR fifteens these are in the dorm room. Please
- 26:01Speaker 1: don't let those be the murder weapons. Please don't let
- 26:04Speaker 1: those be the murder weapons. Listen now, because I'm saying
- 26:07Speaker 1: you're saying.
- 26:08Speaker 7: You didn't know.
- 26:10Speaker 1: But these dudes who are on the run for second
- 26:13Speaker 1: degree murder showed up to your dorm with AR fifteen's
- 26:17Speaker 1: and you didn't have any questions. I didn't see them
- 26:21Speaker 1: when they brought them in. You haven't seen AR fifteen, sir, Yes,
- 26:26Speaker 1: in real life? Yes, well you had it when you
- 26:30Speaker 1: come here. We had in my book bag, didn't You
- 26:35Speaker 1: didn't know? You did not? They won't fit in the
- 26:39Speaker 1: book bag, sir. So we will see JT starting off
- 26:43Speaker 1: his LSU career. Something tells me we'll be talking about
- 26:47Speaker 1: j T. Lindsay at another college or j T. Lindsey
- 26:52Speaker 1: zero zero nine nine eight. You'll be on some like
- 26:56Speaker 1: Polynesians saw. So somebody be like my pleasure and you'll
- 26:59Speaker 1: go check. But I have I heard that name. Not
- 27:04Speaker 1: a good way to start off your college career at all.
- 27:09Speaker 1: This past weekend, Tom Brady's statue revealed, and some of
- 27:13Speaker 1: you I know was asking me why so early? Well
- 27:20Speaker 1: Tom works CVS, doesn't he? Or Fox? Which one is it?
- 27:27Speaker 1: It's Fox. Fox makes a lot of money, has a
- 27:30Speaker 1: lot of obligations, so they probably found the best time
- 27:36Speaker 1: they could do it that Tom was available, simple as that.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I know you wanted Otter a big game, and maybe
- 27:45Speaker 1: I don't know their schedule or Tom's, but you would
- 27:49Speaker 1: imagine you wanted something like that at a big but
- 27:52Speaker 1: you also want it in the daytime too. I think
- 27:54Speaker 1: these kind of things are you get the fans out
- 27:57Speaker 1: and they can see you, you know, and you can
- 28:00Speaker 1: have a longer, better day. But Tom Brady statue outside
- 28:06Speaker 1: of the stadium, and I know why they did it.
- 28:08Speaker 1: You know, typically you wait till someone maybe makes the
- 28:11Speaker 1: Hall of Fame. We know Tom will do that in
- 28:15Speaker 1: two or three more years. But Robert Kraft up in age,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and I imagine that his whole mindset is, I want
- 28:28Speaker 1: to see what I.
- 28:30Speaker 7: Built, my guy, My guy, want to see my guy.
- 28:36Speaker 7: You say, three.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Four years from now, I'm eighty two, eighty three, whatever
- 28:40Speaker 1: Robert Kraft is, and in his mind I will be
- 28:43Speaker 1: either not here or in less physical I won't be
- 28:48Speaker 1: able to enjoy it, enjoyment. I can walk up and
- 28:51Speaker 1: we are. We are that kind of thing.
- 28:53Speaker 8: Without one there would probably not be the other. So
- 28:57Speaker 8: let us enjoy this together.
- 29:00Speaker 7: I want to see the fruits I feel.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I want to picture framed in historical time of me
- 29:06Speaker 1: standing as stout and as uh as much vigor as
- 29:13Speaker 1: I can possibly have in the photo. Not man, look,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I Robert kraft on fell off, and I want to
- 29:19Speaker 1: get a massage for I go to the South. Come on, man,
- 29:22Speaker 1: that's just now. It's sports people get rubbed down. Don't
- 29:26Speaker 1: take it there. I'm just saying, y'all know what time
- 29:28Speaker 1: it is with me. I don't know if that's legal
- 29:31Speaker 1: what you be doing. Oh see, that's that's just how
- 29:35Speaker 1: poor people view it. I'm saying, y'all don't understand, because y'all,
- 29:40Speaker 1: I'm not trying to be insulting, but y'all don't understand
- 29:43Speaker 1: the billionaire business mindset. Yeah, if you, if you had
- 29:48Speaker 1: a billion dollars, you might be able to glipse behind this.
- 29:52Speaker 7: But I have to do that, rob most of us.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Most of us won't ever so so know about the billionaire.
- 29:59Speaker 1: So you multi millionaires and you one hundred thousand ares,
- 30:06Speaker 1: But that is that fast face. And I would too
- 30:09Speaker 1: if I was Robert Kraft, any of the heroes that
- 30:12Speaker 1: was part of my era. Why why let something go?
- 30:17Speaker 1: And then I passed and then my son standing here
- 30:19Speaker 1: like he was the architect of what's going on. It
- 30:23Speaker 1: sounded kind of like the Cowboys. Jerry Jones is scrambling
- 30:30Speaker 1: to bring another Super Bowl as the owner operator CEO GM,
- 30:40Speaker 1: giving him a Super Bowl eight years from now when
- 30:46Speaker 1: he's ninety and he is home and Steven he's not
- 30:50Speaker 1: going to embrace it the same. That's the that's you
- 30:54Speaker 1: can tell, that's how he operates. He that's where his
- 30:56Speaker 1: eagle narcissistic mind goes. And so that's why when I
- 31:01Speaker 1: saw it, I was thinking I would do it too.
- 31:03Speaker 1: About I would fast pace. There's no there's no question.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Who's gonna come in here and tell me what I'm
- 31:10Speaker 1: telling you. Who's gonna question the Tom Brady because next
- 31:15Speaker 1: year I'm gonna put the Bill Belichick statue statue right
- 31:19Speaker 1: right next to it, which is just a sweatshirt. It's
- 31:23Speaker 1: just gonna be.
- 31:24Speaker 7: With one with one word plaque.
- 31:26Speaker 8: So just so yeah, it's gonna be a sweatshirt and
- 31:29Speaker 8: the plaque will say.
- 31:30Speaker 7: No real slogan.
- 31:33Speaker 1: The plaque will just say more practice. But as soon
- 31:40Speaker 1: as he finds himself, I'm quite sure Robert Craf because
- 31:43Speaker 1: I would want to be That's what I'm saying there
- 31:45Speaker 1: at this point. The historical part of him and Tom Brady,
- 31:49Speaker 1: they did all that together, Robert Kraf. They were the
- 31:53Speaker 1: three people who were always constantly Now I'm craft Bill
- 31:57Speaker 1: Belichick and Tomborough.
- 31:59Speaker 8: Yes, Now, as I'm looking at Tom's statue, I have
- 32:04Speaker 8: to give credit to the artists that it resembles, remarkably
- 32:10Speaker 8: resembles Tom. It's not like some statues we've seen in
- 32:14Speaker 8: the past, like where was it Kobe Kobe that looked like.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Damon Williams or something like that. David Wayans, we had, uh,
- 32:25Speaker 1: the one with.
- 32:26Speaker 16: Ai Ai was that it was small, but all of theirs,
- 32:30Speaker 16: all the Sixers ones are small, right, And then the
- 32:34Speaker 16: one with Dwayne Wade where it didn't really look.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Look like at all, like he who is this? And
- 32:41Speaker 1: and I think with the Dwayne Wade they tried to
- 32:45Speaker 1: Their whole thing was they were trying to get too exact, yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 1: of creating the action, trying to make his face ripple
- 32:56Speaker 1: like when he was screaming whatever picture they was trying
- 32:59Speaker 1: to him late. They were trying to get all into
- 33:02Speaker 1: those facets and making it look like his mouth was open,
- 33:06Speaker 1: and that recreation didn't work.
- 33:08Speaker 7: It's hard.
- 33:10Speaker 1: It's like when you pause your TV watching a movie
- 33:16Speaker 1: and you catch the actor with an eye close or
- 33:21Speaker 1: something and if you just pause it right there, man,
- 33:24Speaker 1: they got it. But then you know you posit there
- 33:27Speaker 1: and be like Angela Bassett ain't that hot?
- 33:29Speaker 17: Right?
- 33:30Speaker 1: You know? If you if you really look at her
- 33:32Speaker 1: with her eye closed and her mouth open like that,
- 33:34Speaker 1: she she I really don't see it. But with the
- 33:38Speaker 1: film rolling normal speed.
- 33:41Speaker 7: But Tom Brady is now outside the stadium and we
- 33:46Speaker 7: will see my you know, Tom is not gonna be
- 33:49Speaker 7: able to get there too much working in this Fox gig.
- 33:53Speaker 8: Do you think he'll do that for I mean working
- 33:56Speaker 8: the Fox gig and being part owner of the Raiders,
- 33:59Speaker 8: Am I correct?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he's still Yeah, So you know that's you think
- 34:03Speaker 1: that that would take up a lot of your time
- 34:05Speaker 1: during football season.
- 34:06Speaker 7: But obviously he's got time to do other stuff.
- 34:09Speaker 1: And that door opens even bigger once he gets to
- 34:13Speaker 1: the end of his contract with Fox, because based on
- 34:16Speaker 1: how he feels about television, he might want to play
- 34:23Speaker 1: a bigger role on football and they would easily try
- 34:27Speaker 1: to put him in and any like a John Elway,
- 34:30Speaker 1: make him the GM anywhere in the situation like that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: So but Tom Brady immortalized with a statue JT. Lindsay
- 34:40Speaker 1: the young freshman for LSU College football, Greg says, August
- 34:45Speaker 1: twenty third, Yes, it will be back on the center
- 34:49Speaker 1: stage and Tom, I mean Shador Sanders and beginning any comments,
- 34:53Speaker 1: because I'm quite.
- 34:54Speaker 8: Sure we had a comment about Shadur Sanders where Uncle
- 34:59Speaker 8: Charlie asked, what's he set up to fail? We had
- 35:03Speaker 8: our loyal listener, Jared Lloyd wants to know. Well, he
- 35:07Speaker 8: felt like it was politics that was being played and
- 35:11Speaker 8: Those were the two comments that stood out most to me.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Was set up the fail? What do you mean, what
- 35:17Speaker 1: do you think?
- 35:17Speaker 8: Well that I didn't get clarity from it, but wondering
- 35:22Speaker 8: if you put him in hoping or you drafted him
- 35:29Speaker 8: and no. What I surmised when he first said it
- 35:32Speaker 8: was was he set up to fail because he had
- 35:35Speaker 8: such hype going into the NFL Draft. He's Dion's son,
- 35:40Speaker 8: so everybody just naturally gave him he going to be
- 35:43Speaker 8: this and now you got to go out without that
- 35:46Speaker 8: light covering you and produce on your own. It's what
- 35:51Speaker 8: I imagined, but he never clarified.
- 35:53Speaker 16: Part of that too, is that if the depth charts
- 35:56Speaker 16: come out and should do it was listed fourth and
- 36:00Speaker 16: and you start him in the first game. You normally
- 36:04Speaker 16: don't see that where you go all the way to
- 36:06Speaker 16: the fourth guy to start the first game, especially if
- 36:10Speaker 16: you have Dylan Gabriel another rookie in front of him. Yeah,
- 36:13Speaker 16: Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco. Maybe you don't expect Joe
- 36:16Speaker 16: Flacco to play, but to go to the fourth guy
- 36:19Speaker 16: to start off the preseason, he kind of just it
- 36:22Speaker 16: seems like some people may see it as you're just
- 36:25Speaker 16: throwing him out there.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And then well, if I start the game, I'm starting
- 36:30Speaker 1: with the best O line, best receiving corps that you're
- 36:34Speaker 1: going to put out here today. So even if it's
- 36:38Speaker 1: not the starter, is going to be the best group
- 36:40Speaker 1: that I can put out. I started fourth because I
- 36:43Speaker 1: brought in Kenny Pickett in my mind to start. I
- 36:46Speaker 1: bought Joe Flacco in to back up, and Dylan Gabriel
- 36:51Speaker 1: I drafted before you. So just on the board, that's
- 36:55Speaker 1: how it would have went. Well, I'm not playing Flacco
- 36:58Speaker 1: in the first prison game one years old, don't Dylan
- 37:02Speaker 1: Gabriel missed about two weeks of practice, did he not?
- 37:06Speaker 1: With some kind of injury? And I think he's still
- 37:09Speaker 1: and he's still in. Picket missed some time, and Picket,
- 37:12Speaker 1: remember they had to go out. They got like six
- 37:15Speaker 1: quarterbacks on right in the roster. So the healthiest of
- 37:19Speaker 1: all these people is your do And how about this
- 37:22Speaker 1: as an organization? So you can stop nagging me about
- 37:25Speaker 1: when he's going to go in? Put him out.
- 37:27Speaker 7: I get him on the court field.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Now, and then y'all can stop asking me, and you
- 37:31Speaker 1: stop asking when he gonna play, how much he gonna play?
- 37:34Speaker 1: He got in the game. They gave him two and
- 37:36Speaker 1: a half quarters. I think he played through two touchdowns
- 37:40Speaker 1: and some yards. You know, I'm a billion dollar operation.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You think I got this guy and I want him
- 37:48Speaker 1: to lose.
- 37:51Speaker 7: Where Well, I don't. The conspiracy is making no sense.
- 37:56Speaker 8: That I mean, we're talking about just like we talk
- 37:58Speaker 8: about egos, and.
- 38:00Speaker 1: It's like hiring an unfunny comedian to make your shell bomb.

- 41:11Speaker 2: Between between all locked on?
- 41:23Speaker 1: Say you can see a sports jaint I'll sing even
- 41:27Speaker 1: very cany Welcome back to the Sport Shock Show. I'm
- 41:31Speaker 1: the Sportshock Wing. Cant out there if your Facebook live.
- 41:35Speaker 1: We're trying to reset. It is raining here in the
- 41:40Speaker 1: Atlanta area, which has been raining all summer. Most of
- 41:46Speaker 1: your sunny days catch you by surprise. It starts off
- 41:52Speaker 1: with a forty five fifty percent chance rain and it
- 41:55Speaker 1: just doesn't happen. But you already prepare, so it's not
- 41:59Speaker 1: even like you have. We've had a lot of sunny day.
- 42:01Speaker 1: We had about one little stretched there where it was
- 42:04Speaker 1: about four days where it seemed like it wasn't going
- 42:08Speaker 1: to rain. It was real hot, real nice. But we
- 42:11Speaker 1: spent June, July, and now so far in August with
- 42:15Speaker 1: some type of rain. I haven't had to turn on
- 42:19Speaker 1: my I went to CVS get my prescription, talk to
- 42:24Speaker 1: the pharmacist, and some kind of way we ended up
- 42:26Speaker 1: talking about how neither one of us had to turn
- 42:28Speaker 1: on our sprinkler. Yeah, it's kind of nice though, think
- 42:32Speaker 1: about that, to be in the summer and not use
- 42:35Speaker 1: a sprinkler. And it didn't have to water the grass
- 42:38Speaker 1: at all, and the grass steel green and pretty.
- 42:42Speaker 8: And today I wore regular shoes because I'm so tired
- 42:45Speaker 8: of wearing rubber rain boots.
- 42:46Speaker 1: I just been It's like for weeks I've been wearing
- 42:49Speaker 1: rubber shoes, and I just you know what, man, I
- 42:51Speaker 1: want some regular shoes on my feet. Today. You mentioned
- 42:55Speaker 1: doing the break that we had a comment someone had
- 42:57Speaker 1: something to say about my former quarterback, Aaron Brooks.
- 43:00Speaker 8: Aaron Brooks, the bad producer asked, do you think that
- 43:06Speaker 8: he said that People are saying that shoulder is going
- 43:09Speaker 8: to be average like Aaron Brooks.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Well with bad producers saying that means that the bad
- 43:20Speaker 1: producer said it. I'm so tired of people saying that.
- 43:25Speaker 1: People said, say what you think or what your example
- 43:30Speaker 1: is of all that, because who is saying it other
- 43:33Speaker 1: than you? Most of the times when I hear these comments,
- 43:38Speaker 1: it's just the person. I haven't heard Aaron Brooks name
- 43:40Speaker 1: brought up in a conversation since I played with him
- 43:44Speaker 1: with the Saints.
- 43:46Speaker 7: I don't know who.
- 43:49Speaker 1: The boogeyman is. The flashy bright guy has always come
- 43:55Speaker 1: under scrutiny, The Cam Newton's, the Johnny Man's, anyone that
- 44:02Speaker 1: comes in just like your door, you throw a little touchdown.
- 44:05Speaker 1: He goes back to the little wrisk thing that guy
- 44:10Speaker 1: has always paid a different price, no matter what matter
- 44:15Speaker 1: what position he played. Marshall less and tagging this being
- 44:21Speaker 1: around him, that's just it's always so. It's like when
- 44:25Speaker 1: I listen to people talk, there's a part of this
- 44:30Speaker 1: that's been invited in.
- 44:32Speaker 7: And and and you and people like the skip over that.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Party they love not like they love that is written
- 44:40Speaker 1: into the code. Is we'll just delete that whole part?
- 44:44Speaker 7: Is that a lot of this?
- 44:45Speaker 8: You know why y'all hate on me because you act
- 44:48Speaker 8: so hateful sometimes, brother, I mean I remember someone saying
- 44:51Speaker 8: that to me. Man, people be hating on me, But brother,
- 44:53Speaker 8: you a hateful person. Sometimes you need to relax. And
- 44:56Speaker 8: so some of that was my own doing. Should do
- 45:00Speaker 8: sure welcomes all of this criticism because when he's doing well,
- 45:04Speaker 8: he's telling you how much better he is than you
- 45:07Speaker 8: and how you'll never understand what he's out here doing.
- 45:11Speaker 8: And then when they do bad, it's, ah, y'all just
- 45:14Speaker 8: criticizing me because I'm great. Well, if you that great,
- 45:19Speaker 8: be above the criticism or be able to deal with it.
- 45:22Speaker 8: I just don't understand how they expect both things to
- 45:25Speaker 8: live in the same space. They want us to give
- 45:29Speaker 8: him all of the accolades and the attention and the
- 45:31Speaker 8: draft him where he ought to be drafted, and be
- 45:35Speaker 8: mad about him not going when he should have went
- 45:37Speaker 8: in the draft, and then turn the blind eye to
- 45:41Speaker 8: all the rest of this stuff. And that's just not real,
- 45:44Speaker 8: especially with media. And I thought that was part he
- 45:48Speaker 8: wanted the attention. I don't even know that. You don't
- 45:51Speaker 8: hear a lot of criticism. What you hear is that
- 45:56Speaker 8: he seems to sell himself that he's going to be
- 45:59Speaker 8: in people. Okay, where is this guy? You say, you're
- 46:02Speaker 8: basically the second coming. So I'm waiting on the second coming.
- 46:07Speaker 7: I want to see that. I've never I've never in
- 46:12Speaker 7: a store.
- 46:13Speaker 1: You were not at Jackson State because you was Jackson
- 46:16Speaker 1: State talent level. You went with your dad. It's just
- 46:21Speaker 1: like Travis Hunter. But you're selling like, oh, I only
- 46:24Speaker 1: had the opportunity to go to Jackson. No, you know
- 46:26Speaker 1: that's a lie. You were a Power five Conference quarterback
- 46:34Speaker 1: who chose to follow his dad because it was a
- 46:40Speaker 1: situation where you knew your father was going to pave
- 46:44Speaker 1: the way for you and set you up, find the
- 46:47Speaker 1: coaches build around you so you could make the NFL.
- 46:51Speaker 1: So you always paying this poor mouth kind of attitude
- 46:56Speaker 1: about everything. And then I don't know where Aaron Rodgers,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I mean Aaron Brooks. So I know that has to
- 47:02Speaker 1: be a bad producer moment because I've never heard anybody nobody.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Then when I googled Aaron Brooks, they got Aaron Brooks
- 47:13Speaker 1: the basketball coach, and Aaron Brooks the professional wrestler. Aaron Brooks,
- 47:17Speaker 1: the quarterback that played with me for three years. He's quarterback,
- 47:21Speaker 1: but he never popped up. He never popped up on it.
- 47:26Speaker 8: American professional wrestler, American basketball coach.
- 47:29Speaker 7: And that's it, and that's it. And now bad producer
- 47:33Speaker 7: like you.
- 47:33Speaker 8: When people come to me with they said I believe
- 47:36Speaker 8: in shooting a messenger, don't come telling me what nobody
- 47:38Speaker 8: said unless you're willing to take what it is. I'm
- 47:41Speaker 8: going to give them for saying that out they own mouth.
- 47:44Speaker 8: So you know, if you're coming to me with something
- 47:48Speaker 8: somebody said, you wanted to say it too. This is
- 47:51Speaker 8: something you feeling like you believe and you just want
- 47:54Speaker 8: to get it out your mouth without penalty.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I said this after the draft. I said, as we
- 47:58Speaker 1: go to break some of shoulders fall in the draft,
- 48:05Speaker 1: had nothing to do with anything other than what we're
- 48:07Speaker 1: doing right here. We're talking about a fifth rounder, and
- 48:14Speaker 1: we haven't mentioned that cam Ward the quarterback of the
- 48:17Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans, who was the first pick, played this weekend too,
- 48:23Speaker 1: the first pick. So the coach at Cleveland, the GM,
- 48:27Speaker 1: all of them are under some kind of siege based
- 48:31Speaker 1: on everything they do. If they decide they don't want
- 48:36Speaker 1: to give you do enough snaps today in practice. Oh,
- 48:39Speaker 1: they're trying to hold him back, like they can't have
- 48:42Speaker 1: their whole plan of how they have to deal with
- 48:44Speaker 1: this young man seems to want to come from how
- 48:49Speaker 1: the public. The public can't you well, if we give
- 48:52Speaker 1: him last wife when he won drafted in the first round, teams.
- 48:55Speaker 7: Was like, man, I don't want to touch all.
- 48:58Speaker 1: That man's I'll do that a first round there, but
- 49:01Speaker 1: it's hard to be doing this and fifth and you're
- 49:04Speaker 1: telling about the place. As we go to break, we'll
- 49:06Speaker 1: talk about others like a Bill Belichick, who would have
- 49:10Speaker 1: been like telling you he's not gonna even have the conversation.
- 49:15Speaker 7: For certain guys that wasn't on the hierarchy.
- 49:18Speaker 1: He's not. He wouldn't even discuss backups, right, he was
- 49:22Speaker 1: just passed by your question right next, but someone else.
- 49:28Speaker 7: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 49:33Speaker 10: Don't go together, right back, don't go Wayne Board of
- 49:47Speaker 10: the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne dam videos coming up next.
- 49:51Speaker 18: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 49:54Speaker 18: but it's time we know the facts. Fenton al is
- 49:56Speaker 18: killing people. It's a powerful opio often made a legally
- 50:00Speaker 18: and commonly mixed with illicit drugs. It can even be
- 50:03Speaker 18: pressed into counterfeit pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams,
- 50:08Speaker 18: about the size of a few grains of sand, could
- 50:10Speaker 18: potentially be lethal. This isn't an ad to scare you,
- 50:13Speaker 18: but it is an AD to make you think twice.
- 50:15Speaker 18: Get the facts. Go to Real Deal on fentanyl dot com.
- 50:19Speaker 18: This message is brought to you by the Ad Council.

- 50:53Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports Giant, Wayne Gamby.
- 50:57Speaker 26: Center, gord on sports news gossip, blah blah blah blah.
- 51:06Speaker 7: Gotcha, gotcha, gotch.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Alright, Chatt.
- 51:22Speaker 10: Yeah on string.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 51:39Speaker 1: Shock Wing Candy WNBA Action Yesterday, Asia Wilson, do your thing,
- 51:46Speaker 1: young lady. Thirty two points, twenty rebounds. First time in
- 51:51Speaker 1: the w NBA history that someone has at thirty points
- 51:56Speaker 1: and twenty rebounds in one game. The Fever at Indiana
- 52:02Speaker 1: Fever Caitlin Clark's already been out ten eleven games. The
- 52:06Speaker 1: other night, their last game, I want to say it
- 52:09Speaker 1: was Friday, they had They lost two players for the
- 52:15Speaker 1: rest of the season. One I think broke the bone
- 52:18Speaker 1: and the other one towards a cl so the to
- 52:23Speaker 1: her a c l and already McDonald donald.
- 52:28Speaker 16: I think she broke a bone in her I don't
- 52:30Speaker 16: know if it was hand or foot, but it was
- 52:32Speaker 16: a broken bone.
- 52:33Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 52:34Speaker 1: W n B A coming with that physical pressure. That's
- 52:37Speaker 1: a that's a big loss. He's talking about in basketball,
- 52:42Speaker 1: losing two players at any point in the season is big.
- 52:47Speaker 1: It's big losing two players in the same game. And
- 52:51Speaker 1: but the rest of the season, not for like two
- 52:53Speaker 1: weeks and we'll be back to put you in a scramble.
- 52:56Speaker 7: You got to start bringing people back that.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Uh, what's going on, girl? What you've been doing just
- 53:03Speaker 1: in there rocking the baby to sleep? Oh man, you
- 53:07Speaker 1: did have a baby they had back in May. Yeah,
- 53:10Speaker 1: that's oh in May. So you ought to be back
- 53:13Speaker 1: to the crossover shape by now.
- 53:17Speaker 9: Huh.
- 53:18Speaker 16: Both was that they're both point guards point guards. Now
- 53:21Speaker 16: with Kaitlin Clark, all three of their point guards are out,
- 53:24Speaker 16: so they don't have any other guards.
- 53:26Speaker 1: On the rost yea, so all you can imagine that.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I don't know about what their trade deadline is with
- 53:30Speaker 1: the double. I was going to say, if they need
- 53:33Speaker 1: to go get somebody, we can't. We can't trade. So
- 53:38Speaker 1: everything is that call. Hey girl, listen, I know you've
- 53:42Speaker 1: been out to league fourteen years.
- 53:45Speaker 7: They have to go, Diana.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but if you ain't, if you ain't doing dig
- 53:50Speaker 1: her up, dig up, Diana, Tarassa, come on back. At
- 53:53Speaker 1: least get the ball cross court forty forty three. She
- 53:56Speaker 1: might not have no jumper anymore, but she can she
- 54:01Speaker 1: also have to jumper as long as you don't.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Have to run.
- 54:07Speaker 19: The w n b A.
- 54:08Speaker 1: They did get behind from at least now from what
- 54:11Speaker 1: they're saying, and Greg brought it to my attention. I
- 54:13Speaker 1: read the story last week and kind of just flipped
- 54:16Speaker 1: over it with that. Uh, the issues they've had with
- 54:20Speaker 1: people throwing things, the sex toys out on the court,
- 54:25Speaker 1: Someone the crypto group command, she is telling me, had decided.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I guess this was a coordinated effort. Does this make
- 54:34Speaker 1: a reco case? Let me hear the rest of the situation. Well,
- 54:38Speaker 1: they're taking credit for deciding to throw those sex toys.
- 54:44Speaker 7: So I guess.
- 54:46Speaker 8: Some crypto group got together and say it, let's throw
- 54:50Speaker 8: sex toys. Oh yeah, that's some sort of collusion that's
- 54:56Speaker 8: got them. Yeah, that's conspiring. We're conspiring to a a
- 55:01Speaker 8: international industry. Basically, we're trying to affect the broadcast. We're
- 55:07Speaker 8: trying to affect the outcome of game. That's tampering or something, ain't.
- 55:11Speaker 16: They said, Yeah, it was more or less like an
- 55:14Speaker 16: opportunistic approach to what is already trending, where's there already
- 55:20Speaker 16: controversy and how do we intercept some of that attention?
- 55:25Speaker 8: Ooh, now, now we do know that they've enacted some
- 55:29Speaker 8: laws where people can go to can be incarcerated and
- 55:34Speaker 8: face fines if somebody is harmed while you're trying to
- 55:39Speaker 8: get yourself attention in a viral video. So if you
- 55:42Speaker 8: push somebody down, if you do the make them jump
- 55:45Speaker 8: up challenge and sweep under their legs and they hit
- 55:47Speaker 8: their head or something, you can be prosecuted for that
- 55:51Speaker 8: and fined. So this sounds like an admission that we
- 55:55Speaker 8: were trying to go viral basically, and now we've interfered
- 56:00Speaker 8: with this business.
- 56:01Speaker 1: That sounds like a well a case. I guess the
- 56:04Speaker 1: thing I would ask you two is what does the
- 56:11Speaker 1: toy have to do with your the brand, the crypto
- 56:18Speaker 1: that you're trying to sell. How does those correlate? Just
- 56:23Speaker 1: the most provoc you're trying to sell my hamburger. Don't
- 56:25Speaker 1: not throw hamburgers out there? I don't.
- 56:27Speaker 7: Well, well, this is the thing.
- 56:29Speaker 8: Crypto, from my understanding, isn't really anything tangible anyway, So
- 56:34Speaker 8: we just want to tap into the spirit of the people.
- 56:39Speaker 8: We want to tap into the spirit of irreverence. We
- 56:41Speaker 8: want to tap into the spirit of disrespect. We want
- 56:44Speaker 8: to tap into the spirit of shame. Whatever it is
- 56:48Speaker 8: we think is associated with the sex toy enough people
- 56:53Speaker 8: throw them out there, and then we put our name
- 56:55Speaker 8: on it. And at the very least the sports shock
- 56:58Speaker 8: shows start talking about outlets or start mentioning us.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Somebody might google our name. It doesn't have to make
- 57:06Speaker 1: sense anymore. Yeah, and I read it even a part
- 57:09Speaker 1: where he said we wanted to really make memes funny again.
- 57:17Speaker 7: Yeah, those are the people I want handling my money. Yeah,
- 57:21Speaker 7: so that's what I mean.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Those are the people and I won't have my invisible money.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I want to make memes funny again. People, y'all ain't
- 57:30Speaker 1: out there trying to buy selling trade. Come on, man,
- 57:34Speaker 1: that's how I'm trying to get you to. What about
- 57:36Speaker 1: this is gonna make me invest It's provocative, I'm saying.
- 57:41Speaker 1: And provocative is cool for fashion shows, it's cool for
- 57:46Speaker 1: movie releases, it's cool for social events.
- 57:51Speaker 7: It's not cool for health.
- 57:53Speaker 1: It's not cool for financial, physical health, mental health. Being
- 57:59Speaker 1: provocative other I want my kids to be involved. None
- 58:02Speaker 1: of what you did, you closed off so many industries
- 58:05Speaker 1: that that doesn't show me some some seriousness that I
- 58:08Speaker 1: think people like financial institutions to have a certain class
- 58:12Speaker 1: about them.
- 58:13Speaker 7: At the very least.
- 58:15Speaker 1: You don't go to the bank and they playing some
- 58:17Speaker 1: trick daddy. Well that depends on the bank, not any
- 58:21Speaker 1: bank that I'm gonna I'm gonna walk right out. I
- 58:24Speaker 1: would kind of like, is that coming from? Let me
- 58:27Speaker 1: get out of here. I walked out of a bank
- 58:29Speaker 1: because what's up? Because I ain't gonna give you my
- 58:36Speaker 1: personal information?
- 58:37Speaker 7: Not but what's up? Because no, no, what's up? Let
- 58:41Speaker 7: me see I d no, thank you sir, No, cuz
- 58:45Speaker 7: I'm like you too. I remember something in the car.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I got to Bank of America to make a deposit,
- 58:50Speaker 1: and the guy was doing it different than I had
- 58:52Speaker 1: been doing it for the last couple of years, and
- 58:56Speaker 1: I was like, you know what, just give me my stuff.
- 58:59Speaker 15: I'll go.
- 59:01Speaker 1: That's just how paranoid I am about it, because I'm
- 59:04Speaker 1: so I guess I'm so green to the scam that
- 59:09Speaker 1: he went into my wook and nobody else has ever
- 59:11Speaker 1: asked me for my license to and for somebody it
- 59:17Speaker 1: looked like a scam to me. Hold on on bro
- 59:19Speaker 1: that looked like the baton switched to sports Jock Hill
- 59:24Speaker 1: right after.
- 59:24Speaker 10: This Don't Go awayne board of the sports Josh Hill
- 59:40Speaker 10: with Wayne Gandys.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Coming up next.
- 59:43Speaker 27: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 59:47Speaker 27: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 59:49Speaker 27: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 59:52Speaker 27: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 59:55Speaker 27: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 59:59Speaker 27: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 1:00:02Speaker 27: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 1:00:06Speaker 27: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 1:00:08Speaker 27: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 1:00:12Speaker 27: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 1:00:14Speaker 27: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 1:00:17Speaker 27: being that good role model as well. That model's good
- 1:00:20Speaker 27: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 1:00:23Speaker 27: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 1:00:26Speaker 27: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 1:00:30Speaker 27: and watching your kids be happy.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Never stop being a dad.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: That's dedication.
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: Find out more at fatherhood dot gov, brought to you
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: by the US Department of Health and Human Services and
- 1:00:41Speaker 12: the AD Council.
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: Enough enough, Why So? Serious sudden.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: We hold the world bransom for when you excuse me?
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: While I whipped this out, Shuck asked you live and.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: This this is the Sports Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: You mean bill me up? Can you play me again
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: against you do?
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Come to come to pet, come to Hark.
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: Is it just.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it again?
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: I'm gonna go on the way, Vegan.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: What back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the swortshock
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Wayne Gandee, good morning to you out there and listening Lane.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Have any of you caught any of the Hard Knocks
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills, that's who's doing hard Knocks this season
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: every Tuesday. Have you caught your episode of it?
- 1:01:49Speaker 10: No?
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: I haven't.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: It's okay to confess that you watch it. Come in,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I haven't watched it, So you ain't watch one episode
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: of Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills and train and came.
- 1:02:00Speaker 16: The last one I watched was with the Houston Texans
- 1:02:04Speaker 16: and the episode where Vince Wilfork came in with the overalls.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: It's worful can retire, but I know and that's what
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: I'm saying. Wow, that's crazy because I'm not afraid nor embarrassed.
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: To admit sports shock that I have sat and watched
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: absolutely not a second of Hard Knocks ever. I've never
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: seen an episode of Hard Knocks ever.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: The Hard Knocks and I'm talking about it because you know,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: when I was in the league, that's when it started,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and it seems that the first one or two years
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: people would watch it. Yeah, and something about the show,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: it really has fallen. I guess maybe if your bills
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: fan or sports is just that way where people don't
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: really follow a lot of stuff that's not their team. Yeah,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: we've made it so a la cart We've made sports
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: so you only have to get the cowboy package who
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: you don't. You don't have to shuffle through or sit
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: through none of that other other stuff. You can just
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: cowboy all the time. Yeah, maybe that's what happened to it.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: And you're trying to.
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: Sell me bills and I'm a Jets fan. What I
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: look like watching Hard Knock with the bills and people
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: are so like that?
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, it's timeline society where they're so's it's a
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: filter society.
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: We only get the stuff that we like, none of
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: that other stuff. We don't even get commercials. We don't
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: want to pause our consumption of content in any way.
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: So we're gonna get, Yeah, we're gonna get. We're gonna
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: skip all the ads. We're gonna get only the stuff
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: that we like. So it'll be football talk about the
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: Jets period. Even the commercials, if I accept commercials, will
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: be Jets related commercials.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: And that I think when I was thinking about it,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: because I just never hear conversation about hard knocks anymore.
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: Ever, Now do you think it's because they give us
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: so much other stuff?
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: They got twenty four hour streaming of every single sport,
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: on every single thing, And I think, yeah, you know,
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: the news cycles to where you're telling me what shoes
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: and socks the dude is putting on.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I know what girl he's dating and what she did
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: in college. And do I need to hear any more
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: of that stuff. I've already seen Josh allen wedding photos.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: I'm concerned. Yeah, I'm full. Y'all got room for dessert? No,
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: I don't have room for desert.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: That Josh Allen. It's like, Okay, name someone else on
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: the team, but they got rid of von Miller, the
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Ed Oliver on the defensive line. What do you look like?
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: Uh?
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Quick? Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. About that sounds that
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: sounds like a police description. He's an undersized defense. Yeah,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that sounded like a vague police description right there. He
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: undersides about this dog knocks the tight end is he's
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: like six four tight end, big tight.
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: End, because that's that sounds like either a statement or
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: a player. They got knocks the tight end. What they
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: knocked the tight end? His name is Knocks. But I
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: think both those could be.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I think the olive cart thing where you put it
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: where unless I play your team, my station only goes
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: to this. I don't have to sit around and I
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: just wait on my particular team. And like you two saying,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: it's already so saturated with seeing the other stuff that
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: is having a show, I think that's part of this
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: whole ESPN uh NFL network. Yeah, the NFL network was
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: only going to work if the NFL took all their
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: properties from all the rest of the networks. Yes, yes,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: but then that's a bad business model because ESPN Fox,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: all these stations are paying me all this money, why
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: would I do the work? Think about it, NFL at network,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: they don't give you the game of the week or
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: any of that. They kind of give you just the
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: random game that you don't particularly want to see. They
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: sell the big games to the other networks, Yes, they do,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: and you pay premium prices to these, So you're almost
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: putting your station out of business. That's the bound. If
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: you don't sell barbecue at the barbecue place. We tell
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: our barbecue at the chicken place, and we don't say
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: nothing here. Yeah, I mean the chicken plate. We can
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: go get chicken and barbecue. Network is still run by
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: the NFL. Correct, It might be just a loss they're
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: willing to take. No, no, no, it's it's a it's
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: it grew to the point in their mind they were starting,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: just like the Food Network. I was around when they
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: started the NFL network. It was their idea. They didn't
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: but I think the other cable channels we're basically saying,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: why would you work? Well, I just give you five bill.
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: For the packet. We went to a FC North Yeah, OK, billion,
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: not even the whole division.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: So if you're gonna give me five billion, why would
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I go to work to make five point two billion?
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: I'm as well just call it a day.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: At the five billion, that's advertising and all of those
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: hand celary costs I'm not going to incur any of that.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: And then from the NFL standpoint again, my barbecue restaurant
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: has sold two slabs of ribs in the last three days,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: while the pork sandwiches that we keep giving your chicken.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: Spot have sold out.
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: You can't you keep we on back order trying to
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: get the pork sandwiches that you sell and you take
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: you only give us ten percent of themselves back.
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: We missing.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: We don't see it as getting ten percent, we see
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: it as missing ninety. I remember watching one of those
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: History food situations. Yeah, they were talking about Chick fil A. Yes,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: And when they first the cat he first started with
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Chick fil A. He was selling them out of the
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: waffle house. His friend owned the waffle house and he
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: just let him sell chicken sandwiches out of there. But
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: the customers were buying more chicken sandwiches then waffles, and
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Joe Rogers Senior said, Nah, you're gonna have to go.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Joe Rogers you cutting into my profit. Man, I'm not
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: making no money. And listen because I'm letting you say
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: these chicken sandwiches for free. You're my boy. Yeah, you
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: telemo there in.
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: The corner and because I worked for waffle House.
- 1:09:22Speaker 8: I know for a fact that Joe Rogers Senior is
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: the kind of man that bought a Cadillac but parked
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: it down the street by the KFC because he ain't
- 1:09:29Speaker 8: want to offend his car customers. My core customers see
- 1:09:33Speaker 8: this as disrespectful, pulling up here in the Cadillac while
- 1:09:36Speaker 8: we drinking coffee and eating bacon. They see that credit
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: card machine. That's why waffle House didn't do credit card machines,
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: because the core customers saw that is uppery. Now, that's
- 1:09:47Speaker 8: too high for looting for me. All of this credit
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: card we cash and carry. And Joe Rogers was a businessman.
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: He said it all up. The reason it's yellow because
- 1:09:56Speaker 8: school busses are yellow, and black people stop for that
- 1:09:59Speaker 8: boll yellow and black.
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: That's how the sign got the colors.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: That's it. That's it. So the NFL in this deal
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: to me, they're just doing business. I've sold basically everything
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: that I could use on my station to other networks.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I might well just sell the network. Yeah, I've sold everything.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: I've sold every package on every day. Only day I've
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: left open that doesn't have football basically is Tuesday.
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: Because I sold Fox.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Sunday, I sold NBC Sunday night, I sold Prime Video.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Thursday night, I sold ESPN on. I sold all the
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: nights of sold them. I think I'm holding onto this
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: little bit little corner over here.
- 1:10:49Speaker 9: Offer.
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: Yeah, it's some money for Christmas. Somebody bought Thanksgiving?
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, CBS, So man, what you gonna do with you
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: what you're gonna do with deep blue shoes? Like we
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: can sold all the rest of the ship. Man, let's
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: let them have, drop the price on them, drop and
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: move on with your life. And that's kind of how
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the NFL and I it felt like that because, uh,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: when it started, it had a little momentum to it.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I thought it was gonna be But I think a
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: lot of those Is the Golf Channel still in business, yes,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and they'll be in the same situation because if you're
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: not going to show all of your content on your
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: own station, how do I go to the NFL network
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: and don't barely get NFL stuff y'all don't even have
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Or you're showing me something from yesterday. Well I could
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: see yesterday on YouTube, I surely could. Or Hulu, Yes
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I could. I could.
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: I could record it and watch it the channel excuse me.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: NBC bought the Golf channel and that's why exactly, and
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: that's why yesterday you didn't see the Evening News because
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: they had a playoff. They don't and they don't preempt
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: none of that golf stuff. I think it's a good
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: move by the NFL network they gave. I think they
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: gave ESPN tempercent equity or something like that, or the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: NFL got ten percent.
- 1:12:19Speaker 16: ESPN has equity in the NFL. Okay, well they've always
- 1:12:23Speaker 16: had that, but now I guess official.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Now even when you watch the post shows, ESPN would
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: put more into their post show than the NFL network.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: They only show graphics. They were showing one camera. They
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: don't have no highlight. It's graphic and stats and the
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: ticker on the bottom. We'll be back more to sports
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: stock children.
- 1:12:49Speaker 28: After this, I thought it was me make up so
- 1:12:56Speaker 28: wild all the god Yo, I love being a bachelor.
- 1:13:03Speaker 28: Ricky said that there was a good guest for your

- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Minnesota won a championship. Milwaukee won a championship with Milwaukee.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: He's thirty four and twin Walker from Kentucky played at
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Boston uh into one Walker forty nine years old. Annette
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Woodard one of the great basketball players. They got overlooked.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I mean, but a lot of people in the seventies
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: got overlooked because a lot of all sports were not
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: shown on television back then, or they would tape the
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: lad when you hear a lot of the story for
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: all sports, if you didn't go to them back in
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: those days, you didn't.
- 1:19:05Speaker 8: I was going to say, when did sports become the
- 1:19:07Speaker 8: big television licensing rights boom that it became because I
- 1:19:13Speaker 8: can remember the gathering with the family to watch the
- 1:19:16Speaker 8: Thanksgiving football games and the Christmas football game, and if
- 1:19:20Speaker 8: you were a sports fan, you'd catch it on the
- 1:19:23Speaker 8: radio or the channel, like the Cubs was always on WGN.
- 1:19:27Speaker 8: But it wasn't the constant flood of sports everywhere all
- 1:19:31Speaker 8: the time. When did we get there early eighties?
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Like college football, yeah took off in like the late
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: seventy but when you talk about majors professional sports, basketball, football,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: a lot of that started the boom in the eighties,
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: college foot basketball, college football dominated still for a long
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: for a long long time, people wasn't really big on
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: the pro sports. And then with different advantages of television,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: and now do you think.
- 1:20:08Speaker 8: That with college sports they started tracking the college athlete
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: all the way to the pro I remember that there
- 1:20:15Speaker 8: used to be a you had to know the team
- 1:20:18Speaker 8: to know that that guy was good. But now a
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: lot of these sports shows will lead with the top
- 1:20:23Speaker 8: college athletes telling you to be on the lookout for
- 1:20:26Speaker 8: this guy at the next level.
- 1:20:29Speaker 16: I think then, like when starting out, like with tracking
- 1:20:32Speaker 16: that guy from college of the pros, that may be
- 1:20:34Speaker 16: more on a regional level. Yeah that's true, And now
- 1:20:40Speaker 16: now like everything's naturally you have.
- 1:20:42Speaker 8: Because I remember Mark Acquire when he was at de
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: Paul and that's all anybody talked about in Chicago. Let's
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: wait till this guy gets to the NBIA. You had
- 1:20:50Speaker 8: just like he said, Yeah, your region was the regional heroes.
- 1:20:53Speaker 8: Yes he was a hero.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: And then those guys, by the time you heard the
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: name in the professional ranks, they were eight nine years
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: in the league and you thought they were just some
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: bomb that ended up. And then you find out he
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: left the ball as the leading scorer because he didn't
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: have all the stats at the time. Who else do
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: we have here? And at what aarred sixty six. Mike Gundy,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the head coach of Oklahoma State fifty eight. John mo
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Rent twenty six. Wow, the rugby yeah, John mar twenty six.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: He'd been making trouble since he was four years All
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: seemed like Vaiola Davis is sixty. Alana Maller the young
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: lady from the rugby team. She also was on Dances
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: with the Stars. She's twenty nine years old. Ridick Bow
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: one of the quiet champs of our time, fifty eight
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: years old. Dalvin Cook only thirty. That's a lot of
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: surprised why Dalvin really hasn't been able to reduce It's
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: not like he's an older he's just getting too where
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: people start say you're older, back right, running backs, it
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: might have changed.
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: They're older six.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Seven, Michael Bivens, Bell, Bill Deveaux, new edition, fifty seven.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: Angie Harmon is fifty three. What was it, Rossolian that
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: was her big show? She's fifty three. Andre Drummond thirty two,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: John Starks is sixty, Antonio Banderiz is sixty five, and
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Kylie Jenner is twenty eight years of age. And we
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: don't do a lot of after this, but since it
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: was just recent, Hulk Hogan would have been seventy two
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: today would have been seventy two. Seventy two would have
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: been the Hulkster if he was here today, and he
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: would say, let me tell you something, brother, this passing
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: here in the last what ten twelve days is Hulk Hogan,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Big Kenny.
- 1:22:58Speaker 8: We're looking over this nice list, sir. This is this

- 1:23:18Speaker 1: legs out and the little running shoes. You know, we're
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: gonna We're gonna see if you got a little Bruce Willison,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: you if you can die hard?
- 1:23:25Speaker 7: You see what I mean.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: That's a clunkunk bio trying to be an action star.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Everybody's trying to find that action because that's what the most.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: That's where it's going. That's where Will Smith, Tom cruise
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: the vessel loan. Yeah, Jason Statum are seeing all you
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: know with John Cena and Elba as President and prime minister.
- 1:23:54Speaker 7: Minister. Yeah, what is it?
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Heads of State? Yeah, really good movie, action franchise. It's
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: a really good movie. Yeah, I liked it. It was
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: a very entertaining end action pack. We'll be back more
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 1:25:05Speaker 11: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:25:09Speaker 11: life insurance.
- 1:25:10Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:25:12Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we live forever.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: What about you?

- 1:25:19Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and

- 1:26:06Speaker 26: Player's Lounge've been given full access to the players Lounge
- 1:26:12Speaker 26: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:26Speaker 9: Can we go young? Come on?
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: What about this one shock shower? I'm this one shock
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Wayne Canny, Good morning to you out then listening land
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: Big Kenny. We were talking about the Christmas Day schedule,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: which is already out. Uh when you look at and
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: I saw some Halloween stuff already being sold, So we
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: don't we don't wait on anything. Stores are already they
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: are already open. Oh are they there? They're going. You
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: should see them start to pop up. Now, what's that
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: the spirit of Halloween stores?
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, they're they're they're advertising the punted houses
- 1:27:29Speaker 8: that are coming.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: In all the back.
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: But remember they only used to rent like a month.
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: They would get like a month lease somewhere.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: They would start at the beginning of October and the
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: day after Halloween they be closed.
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: You'll go by there and it just be empty empty.
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: I think now it's three months.
- 1:27:45Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: Wow. It's just one of those things.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: But the Christmas Day, and this year we were talking
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: about how the NFL has three NFL games on Christmas
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: and the NBA has five games Onchristmas. This used to
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: be all NBA, and now the NFL has decided that
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: regardless of what day Christmas falls on. It's not that
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: the NFL has never played on a Christmas, but Christmas
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: used to really have to fall on their day, which
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: was at one point, as we talked about it, so
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: vast now, but it used to be if Christmas didn't
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: fall on Monday, Sunday or Monday, yes, there was no
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Christmas Day game. Now they're saying they're just going to
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: track whatever day Christmas is on and give you three games,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: similar to the three games they give you on Thanksgiving.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: Last year was on a Wednesday. Christmas and it was
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: on a Wednesday last year, so they moved to Wednesday.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: They already have four days of the week anyway, but
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: that means sometimes the game could be on when when
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Tuesday or Wednesday. And the NBA still hasn't invaded Thanksgiving.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: I don't think, and that's what we were talking about, right,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: I don't, Yeah, I don't. I think they have Thanksgiving
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: used to be Thanksgiving used to be NFL and Christmas
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: used to be NBA. NFL has invaded Christmas. Do you
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: think the NBA because their season has started by Thanksgiving?
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: NBA season usually starts about the second week in November.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: So do you think the NBA will now start charting,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: of course, to invade Thanksgiving? If they do, it'll be
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: a declaration of.
- 1:29:52Speaker 9: War.
- 1:29:53Speaker 26: War.
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: I can't find a better word for it. We tied
- 1:29:58Speaker 8: of the bs. Y'all think we play out here?
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Tell you what?
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: Boom?
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: Here we go Thanksgiving Day? Wait, no, no, but we
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: put our Hey we got six games on Thanksgiving. And
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: that's the thing that got me. Not only are you
- 1:30:12Speaker 8: putting games where they were never gaming before? You would
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: have put two three games. Like it's not enough that
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: you've declared war, you threw the first punch too, And
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: that just seems I think sometimes it could hurt sports
- 1:30:27Speaker 8: overall because now we got to start making choices of
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: which event we want to give.
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: Our time to.
- 1:30:34Speaker 7: It's still a family holiday if that matters to people.
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: So you know, five games and then three football games.
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: That's eight whole contests, well last minimum a couple.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Of mothers to be like twelve yeah, three and spreading
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: by watch every eight that kind of ten thirty yeah,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: so you can watch.
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: They never overlapped ever, they all.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: They gave them two and a half our windows so
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: we could see them see them all.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: NFL does that with theirs as well. They have something like.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Noon four and then eight and but that overlaps. I'm
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: flipping between channel and I wonder, I wonder how they're
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: gonna do it based on because you really don't want
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: to have the Nicks plane and the Giants plane.
- 1:31:30Speaker 27: Mm.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: See, if we're at the strategy table, I don't I
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: want my because I want the most out of most
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: eyes and if I give you, Yeah, but I'm saying
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: burnt out. I'm trying to think of how how would
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: I do if I'm declaring war on you in your territory?
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: Am I thinking about that? Yeah, we're gonna drop a
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: bomb on the park. Wait a minute, my kids go
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: to the park at six o'clock. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: Like what time? Because now I have to consider that
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: I want to put the Knicks on. But oh man,
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: the Giants are gonna be playing Ah.
- 1:32:05Speaker 16: Looking at seeing who's who's playing on Christmas this year
- 1:32:09Speaker 16: in the NFL, Dallas was playing Washington, Detroit is playing Minnesota,
- 1:32:15Speaker 16: and Denver's playing Kansas City.
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: So they're playing all conference games. Yeah, Detroit Vikings, yeah,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: and Denver Casey Yeah, those are all so they're having
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: division games and who else they have all division DA
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: Washington is the first game division game? You you you
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: want to watch that.
- 1:32:38Speaker 7: So the NFL coming out with.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: Well, well they went out because there's more on the line.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: By the time you get to Christmas. This might be
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: a must win game which you'll be must watch. So
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: you must be watched because remember at this point, which
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: about Christmas, the typically the end of the sea.
- 1:33:02Speaker 8: Yes, Uncle Charlie said, NBA on Thanksgiving, why not just
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: go ahead and jerry.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Mandery to reach all the line, jerry mandering for everybody.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: You get a new district, you get a new district.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: And I know the question you asked me before the show,
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: and that's why we brought it to the air. You
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: were talking about the infringement encroachment upon the business model.
- 1:33:27Speaker 8: I am Christmas Day my sport. We've established this generations.
- 1:33:32Speaker 8: Now that we play on this day, on the day
- 1:33:36Speaker 8: that you play, we don't mess around. You play as
- 1:33:40Speaker 8: many games as you want. You ain't never heard a
- 1:33:42Speaker 8: ball bounce on Thanksgiving. Never, y'all ain't never heard the
- 1:33:47Speaker 8: ball get kicked off on Christmas Day. And now here
- 1:33:50Speaker 8: you come along with three whole games. It ain't bad enough.
- 1:33:53Speaker 8: You put one dude on the corner. You done sent
- 1:33:55Speaker 8: a crew of people into my territory. And we're supposed
- 1:33:59Speaker 8: to stay cool. And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: How are we supposed to be cool with? This is
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: cutting into my viewership. Viewership translates to money, and you're
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: you're messing with my business model. Well, I think the
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: biggest thing with life in general is the idea of tradition. Yes, we.
- 1:34:21Speaker 7: In the sports world used to really that was a
- 1:34:26Speaker 7: big part of it.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: It's like watching certain like college, there were certain games
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: like Auburn fortunately still gets their game, which is Alabama
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: at the end. But you've seen different rivalries get moved
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: from where they traditionally go there go yeah, not having
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: at the second game of the year, right, so it's
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: the big rivalry.
- 1:34:55Speaker 16: Well, I wanted to add what you're saying, like with
- 1:34:57Speaker 16: the NFL coming in and taking over Christmas, Roger Goodell
- 1:35:03Speaker 16: just said that he does not see the NBA as competition,
- 1:35:07Speaker 16: that their rivals are Apple and Google.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: And that's where well, and that's what the NFL understands.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: They have the big stick that the NBA is still
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: in our country the fourth fifth sport when you think
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: about it, because the NFL, college football, MLB. So now
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: you got NBA And is he saying, so now Google
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: because they're streaming, you still have.
- 1:35:47Speaker 7: College football going on.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: Yes, we do. A couple of college football coaches we've
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: already talked about want them to move up the playoffs.
- 1:35:57Speaker 7: Yeah, Christmas into that Christmas the window. Yeah. Yeah, so
- 1:36:01Speaker 7: basically Christmas to New Year's.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: We got a lot of people basically backhanding on some
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: turf war back if you have the mind, I mean,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: everybody trying to turf war with the end we're gonna
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: do it, and not because like I said, you're just
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: starting off your players. Your whole thing is y'all don't
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: like to play. You know, y'all coming with these in
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: tournaments because y'all don't like to play until at the
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: height of when we're just getting good man, And that's
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: what I said. The thing is right here. Think about
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: what they giving you on Christmas. So you have really
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: just cut out my whole NBA Christmas because you just
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: gave me three games that if people are healthy. Yes,
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: these are six teams that's going to be in the
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: mix very much. And they're in the same division, yes, sir.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: And so what I know.
- 1:36:56Speaker 8: I know the Commanders and I believe they played the
- 1:37:02Speaker 8: Giants right Christmas Dallas in the command and they the
- 1:37:08Speaker 8: Commanders in Dallas are playing. But the Giants are also
- 1:37:11Speaker 8: playing correct, and they are the Giants.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Christmas Dallas in Washington on Christmas to start off, Detroit
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: in Minnesota. It's the second game. And then the Chiefs
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: versus the Bronco.
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: And I know.
- 1:37:26Speaker 8: That the Chiefs went deep. Who else the Lions went deep?
- 1:37:33Speaker 8: Lions went deep. So I'm saying there set went deep,
- 1:37:36Speaker 8: very deep.
- 1:37:37Speaker 7: Washington.
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: We Thoughtllington Dallas has the brand.
- 1:37:41Speaker 7: They have the brand.

- 1:38:06Speaker 7: Hold on, now, I'm saying, now, what about my muther mood?

- 1:41:08Speaker 2: Log on so you can see a sports chant.
- 1:41:11Speaker 9: I'll sing even.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: Welcome back to this war shock Shah, I'm the spor
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: shock Wing Gandy. Good morning to you been Kenny. You
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: brought me a story about some pro bull riding uh
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: yeah league. They claimed that doctor Phil orchestrated bankruptcy yes,
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: to avoid litigation, yes, and jump start a new adventu
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: media venture yes.
- 1:41:36Speaker 9: Uh.
- 1:41:37Speaker 8: Doctor Phil McGraw was the controlling partner of the pro
- 1:41:42Speaker 8: bull riding uh the media component of pro bull riding,
- 1:41:48Speaker 8: and they were getting ready to launch a different venture
- 1:41:52Speaker 8: instead of financing the pro bull riding. Doctor Phil said
- 1:41:57Speaker 8: that he is Chapter eleven bankrupt and as a result,
- 1:42:01Speaker 8: all of that has to be put on hold. But
- 1:42:04Speaker 8: right before he filed his Chapter eleven bankruptcy, he launched
- 1:42:08Speaker 8: a different media company. So they're asserting that you shut
- 1:42:12Speaker 8: this media venture down that's connected to us because he's
- 1:42:17Speaker 8: got the controlling interest in it, only to open up
- 1:42:21Speaker 8: something else.
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: And you're not really in any kind of financial trouble.
- 1:42:24Speaker 8: So what they're asking for a judge to determine is
- 1:42:28Speaker 8: if they get to look at the records, they.
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: Want to see where the money went and for you
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: to prove into Oprah. Hey, heylug Now he ended with
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvey to the Harvey but you know, both them
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: take the need to Oprah.
- 1:42:48Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:42:49Speaker 8: They both got to come kiss the ring and and
- 1:42:51Speaker 8: and and pay something, pay tribute up to Oprah.
- 1:42:54Speaker 7: So we'll see how this go.
- 1:42:56Speaker 8: I just thought it was interesting that uh, doctor fel
- 1:43:00Speaker 8: had gotten into sports, and you know, he's a Texas guy,
- 1:43:04Speaker 8: I believe, so of course pro bull riding made sense,
- 1:43:08Speaker 8: but I guess he figures there's something more lucrative.
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: A woman says that a scanner a scammer on stub Hub,
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: so her fake tickets to a Chris Brown concert in Detroit.
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: She says, she tried to redeem. Now, how do you
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: set up as a fake stub Hub scam?
- 1:43:26Speaker 7: Can I know you know?
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: Well, I honestly don't allegedly, And what she's saying is
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: she's trying to make stub Hub responsible for her lost money.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: When she tried to redeem her tickets at the venue
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: in Detroit. She says she didn't try and access her
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: tickets before that, but when she got to the venue,
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: she showed them her tickets.
- 1:43:46Speaker 8: They looked at them. These are invalid. As matter of fact,
- 1:43:49Speaker 8: these seats don't even exist inside this venue. These seats
- 1:43:54Speaker 8: go too high. That row doesn't exist here. And she
- 1:43:58Speaker 8: wants to know how did that happened on stub Hub.
- 1:44:01Speaker 8: Her words were, we trust you. You're the one that
- 1:44:05Speaker 8: let these people access your platform. How can you allow
- 1:44:10Speaker 8: that and they be fraudulent? So she wants stub Hub
- 1:44:13Speaker 8: to refund her money. But the venue in Detroit says,
- 1:44:17Speaker 8: if you want to avoid all that, just go to
- 1:44:19Speaker 8: ticket Master. So I wonder if there's someone allowing someone
- 1:44:24Speaker 8: to slip through the cracks at stub Hub in an
- 1:44:27Speaker 8: effort to make ticket Master the more reliable ticket distributor.
- 1:44:34Speaker 16: Well, it's hard to kind of determine that because what
- 1:44:39Speaker 16: can happen is depending I think stub hub, I think
- 1:44:43Speaker 16: you can resell tickets, so the tickets are being bought up,
- 1:44:46Speaker 16: and then people can sell them to others, and then
- 1:44:50Speaker 16: it could be for a ridiculous price, or you just
- 1:44:53Speaker 16: see what seat number it is and it doesn't actually exist.
- 1:44:57Speaker 16: So yeah, it may be going to the more reliable
- 1:45:02Speaker 16: ticket provider or the official one, because on these tours
- 1:45:05Speaker 16: they have the official site or the official the official
- 1:45:12Speaker 16: merchant for the tickets.
- 1:45:14Speaker 8: And see for me, I guess I'm a little confused
- 1:45:17Speaker 8: in that you say that you're having a department store
- 1:45:23Speaker 8: pop up, and your department store pops up, and I
- 1:45:27Speaker 8: go in and I buy some merchandise and they tell
- 1:45:29Speaker 8: me it's counterfeit merchandise. Well, you the one in charge
- 1:45:33Speaker 8: all of this, don't you vet and rectify and you know,
- 1:45:38Speaker 8: align all them that before you come taking my money?
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: How you let a counterfeit product getting your department store?
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: How to get all the way to me?
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: And I guess that's what the lady is asking is
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: you're telling me these seats don't even exist. There wasn't
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: any kind of algorithm to see that.
- 1:45:54Speaker 8: And this isn't a yeah, and this isn't a right
- 1:45:57Speaker 8: and now but see and again it's not a reason
- 1:46:00Speaker 8: sold ticket because again this ticket shouldn't even exist in
- 1:46:03Speaker 8: real life, so nobody could have bought it first and
- 1:46:05Speaker 8: then resold it. You just let somebody put food gayzy
- 1:46:10Speaker 8: on your site. You think you'll win, I don't. I
- 1:46:14Speaker 8: don't because.
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: Because if she wins, then we got to get everybody
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: else's us.
- 1:46:21Speaker 7: That's not on us, that's crazy.
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: Ohio, Ohio regulators are considering a ban on certain players
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: specific prop bets, So the state of Ohio is kind
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: of trying to monitor prop bets. This is coming from that.
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: It's an ongoing Major League Baseball gambling investigation into Cleveland
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: Guardian pictures. So basically, prop bets first pitches, small little
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: bets that people can specifically maneuver without any question.
- 1:47:00Speaker 16: And yeah, that particular picture in Manuel clause is being
- 1:47:04Speaker 16: investigated because yeah, the prop bet would be when he comes,
- 1:47:08Speaker 16: he's there, he's the closer, so he comes in. The
- 1:47:12Speaker 16: bet is the first pitch will be a ball. And
- 1:47:15Speaker 16: then he came in and he threw the ball to
- 1:47:18Speaker 16: the backstop basically and so a lot of people won
- 1:47:22Speaker 16: money off of that, and it was of course, it
- 1:47:24Speaker 16: looks very suspicious when it's so much put on that bet.
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: And it's like we've talked about on the show twenty
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: twenty five, we kind of in these recent years we
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: at like the people of nineteen thirty eight was so
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: wrong for some rule they put in right when I'm
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: quite sure it was tried and tested. Of how because
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: there's so much money we talked about this about that
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: can be made. That has nothing to do with me
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: throwing the game. Right back, I'm gonna get three rebounds,
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: and once I get I make so much coming.
- 1:48:06Speaker 8: Once I get three, I cramp up. I'm coming in four. Yeah,
- 1:48:10Speaker 8: that's what I'm saying, because I'm coming out.
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: I didn't throw the game.
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: I told my third cousin, Big Kenny, I was gonna
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: throw a curve on the first pitch, and my third cousin,
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: Big Kenny, ran down and bent one thousand dollars on
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: the first pitch, a thousand.
- 1:48:30Speaker 8: I called the family with me and then and that
- 1:48:36Speaker 8: all the cousins and calls also.
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: But I'm saying, but at the end of the game,
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: we won the game three to two, I went seven endings,
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: I struck out eleven people. Nothing about it was thrown.
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: But we still cheated the system. But we cheated the
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: system with the loop. I think that's what it's loop.
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: We can't find a way to prosecute you about it.
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: And we said this about the football, and I was like, well,
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: I don't have to come. I didn't come here with
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: the fifty grand for you to throw the game, so
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: that anxiety that you have to feel as a player,
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: ain't get that no more. I just want to bet
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: in the second quarter, Reggie White get a sack, I'll
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: give you fifty grand. And Reggie White, I did ask you,
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: and Reggie White slipped past me in the second quarter.
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: Ain't nobody gonna doubt that. Everybody know that man strong
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: and fast and he do it all the time. And
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: I just I'm gonna just have to eat that sack.
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: My bad, my bad, coach, my bad. Then I'm gonna
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: get up and clap my hands.
- 1:49:46Speaker 7: And then I got it. I'm sorry about that, bro,
- 1:49:48Speaker 7: I know I got it.
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: I got extra one point to me And at the
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: end of the night, we'll be back going to sports

- 1:52:00Speaker 26: We put a spent on life and sports and how
- 1:52:03Speaker 26: they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:15Speaker 5: M Yeah, Spider made a freezing full of fact.
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: Get ready wrong, I'm ready, I'm ready to stick at you.
- 1:52:26Speaker 12: Oh yeah, take it, Jack girl, I must want.
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: Seeing safety strange in my mind.
- 1:52:37Speaker 7: Yo, send you where she moves. Let's go because they're
- 1:52:43Speaker 7: out of time.
- 1:52:47Speaker 20: So.
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: Welc back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the sports
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: Shakra Wayne Gandee Uh. Two boxers, two Japanese boxers die
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: a brain injury sustained in the same fight card back
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: on August the second of this year. Two young men
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: passing away big Kinny COMANCHI. Do you think it was
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: the the you think maybe they took the substance?
- 1:53:15Speaker 8: What that's very particular, same card brain injury, I mean,
- 1:53:23Speaker 8: and boxing has always been a brutal sport, and even
- 1:53:26Speaker 8: with UFC and things like that, we see some outrageous
- 1:53:31Speaker 8: blows to the head. But for two, I mean because
- 1:53:34Speaker 8: in my time, I've only known of one boxer to
- 1:53:38Speaker 8: pass away from a brain injury, and that was Duku
- 1:53:41Speaker 8: Kim when he fought Boom Boom Ray Boom Boom Mancini.
- 1:53:45Speaker 8: And that's the only one I've ever known, and that's
- 1:53:48Speaker 8: generations ago. So for two in one night on the
- 1:53:52Speaker 8: same card and they didn't have the same card, That's
- 1:53:54Speaker 8: what I'm saying. That seems a little There's got to
- 1:53:57Speaker 8: be an investigation.
- 1:53:59Speaker 16: I mean, it could be that it's something that they
- 1:54:02Speaker 16: took something in the water, or it could be that
- 1:54:06Speaker 16: the fights should have been stopped at some point. I
- 1:54:10Speaker 16: wondered about that part too.
- 1:54:12Speaker 8: Should it was the refereeing flawed, Like y'all should have
- 1:54:15Speaker 8: stopped this in the seventh round. It's in the tenth
- 1:54:17Speaker 8: and now this dude is just done for. There's no
- 1:54:21Speaker 8: way we can reverse this. Yeah, we'll wait to get
- 1:54:24Speaker 8: a little more information. I just thought it was very
- 1:54:26Speaker 8: I mean, if I don't know how their association and
- 1:54:30Speaker 8: laws work in Japanese Boxing Association, I know here it
- 1:54:34Speaker 8: would be a senate hearing about this the next morning,
- 1:54:39Speaker 8: but the very next.
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: Morning, the Senate would have been gathered. Uh, they would
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: have said that from the side of the ring. And
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: I'm sure there'll be a promoters would be somewhere scared
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: right now or lawsuits. Yeah, yeah, they all the doctors
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: be straded. Something the gloves was wrong, y'all didn't measure
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: the gloves or something. Something Something happened where a room
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: get changed for that kind of because you I mean,
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: it's unfortunate, but I do know if it happened in
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: our country. These those are the kind of incidents that.
- 1:55:12Speaker 8: Rules get changed quickly, seasons get suspended behind stuff like that.
- 1:55:18Speaker 7: The whole sport has to hold up for a minute.
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: Mariano Rivera, the fifty five year old Hall of famer
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: playing in the Yankees Old Timers Game toward his achilles.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: Come on, Mario, come on now, you know how you
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: gotta warm up? What you out there doing? How does
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: my real on?
- 1:55:40Speaker 7: Fifty five?
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: Ain't that much warman up in the world and the
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: Old Timers game? Ain't that much warming up in the world?
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: Old time is No, we ain't even stretching. We just
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: out here smiling. What I'm smiling, I'm waving and that
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: ball coming my way. Oh, let me jog over here
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: and let me get this ball, throw it.
- 1:56:02Speaker 7: Back Old Timers game. I've honored my obligation by showing up, sir.
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: That's all you do.
- 1:56:08Speaker 7: That's all I was spoken.
- 1:56:09Speaker 16: The doing again is having the game they normally on
- 1:56:15Speaker 16: the Old Timers Day, they just all come out there,
- 1:56:18Speaker 16: They all wave and.
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: They smile that they get off the field. They try
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: to be too next year to be back being too rambunctious.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: Next year to be back to why waiting and smiling.
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: Guarantee you and MARIOO will still be in that boot.
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: You know, it's gonna take a little longer to heel
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: and fifty five he might have to have a prosthetic
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: put on that leg. Ain't no prop better on it
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: that he got hurt. You know what I'm saying, how
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: long you wear boot?
- 1:56:47Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:56:47Speaker 7: Not official, Let's come up with one.
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: She'd do is saying this one last note on him
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: for all you out there to do is staying. Is
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: the possibility of him starting week one? Why not? There's
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: no one on the roster. It's not like he's jumping heavyweights.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: Joe Flacco was retired at a moment and then they
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: went and got him because they had so many injuries.
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: The Dylan Gabriel kid is the same draft. It's not
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: like he was a first round then should do it?
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: Was a fifth like third and five. That's the job
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: security in that. Why not? Nobody's going to be surprised.
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: And you know what the Cleveland Blind Organization will be
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: on one. Yeah, this is what you try to do.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: You try to find guys, You try to draft guys.
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: You hope you can get somebody that wasn't posed. Later,
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: you get to pay less for a little while. Yeah,
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: because still a business. So I get to make two
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: or three years of profit for I have to start
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: giving you the big bucks. And that's what you want.
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: Still a business that's just people I'm hoping, And that's
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: why I was saying with the boogeyman. These people are
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: hoping Shoulder can deliver like he did in college. And
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: I got you from the fifth round one hundred and
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: forty four. It's like the Patriots with Tom Brady. That's like,
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: you got all that from a sixth rounder, right you?
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: You bought a lamp at a garage sale and it
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: turned out to be a Tiffany.
- 1:58:26Speaker 7: What for three dollars?
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: I got the eighteen century Tiffany lamp and it's worth
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: four point two million. Ah, bro, that's three dollars I
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: have invested. But there's no there's nobody on the roster
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: that starting is any better than any He's not in
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: a real battle. It's not like his other proven you know, Joe.
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: That's I'm saying flack old. But he's forty. He's on
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: the team to be a backup. He came out of
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: retirement to back ended up having to start because commands.
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: Greg keep getting hurt. But I was just trying to.
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: I was just trying to come in and get another
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: year on my pension, just trying to. I was shot
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: when you said you got hurt. I didn't want to
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: go in the game. Hey on, some put your helm
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: in on. I'm like, now, why don't think of some
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: guys that don't be trying to I'm having conversations about
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: taking care of yourself. Man. You guys try to milk
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: a year or two, they just milk them extra year
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: or two. That's not only profit today, that's profit when
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: they retire. So Chadur's starting. Nobody is gonna sit here
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: and be, oh wow, Cleveland the one that's gonna be
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: popping champagne. But we got them, no dead, we got them.
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: We're playing. We're paying fifth round price for a game
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: day starter. You know how good a profit that is.
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: You should be embarrassed. What whatever, I saved eight million dollars.
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: Nothing embarrassing about that. Yeah, So hats off to them
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: and we are in the ocean. The truth is he.
- 2:00:15Speaker 7: Will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: It's time to wrap things up.
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: On the Sports Jut Show with Wayne Candy.
- 2:00:57Speaker 1: We decided that I should give this wort shout chats
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: a minute to would like to thank you for tuning
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: in today's show. Relaxed. As I said at the beginning
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: of the show, it's just preseason game one relaxed. Half
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: of them people you saw the last couple of days
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: won't even be on the roster come September first, they
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: won't even be there. You were just latching some people
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: that will be asking you do you want cheese on
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: your burger? As a cheesecake factory, that's what he'll be.
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: Or they'll be down there and the what is it,
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: the UFL or the USFL, something like that. But half
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: of the people you saw won't even be there. But
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: football is back, as we said, and going in the
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: ocean today. And I loved him when he played on
- 2:01:42Speaker 1: the diamond, and I hate to have to do this
- 2:01:45Speaker 1: to him. The fifty nine year rold Atlanta brave slugger
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: David Justice said, partly some of the strife between him
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: and Holly Berry thirty years ago was that Holly didn't
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: cook or clean. Now, Dad, when you looked over and
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: saw Holly cooking and cleaning was nowhere in the equation.
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: She looked like she make a mean pot roll. It
- 2:02:28Speaker 1: wasn't part of her game, and it was not what
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: made you walk across that club floor. I bet that
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: girl scrub some tie. She get that ground, she'd get
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: that ground. You got exactly what you saw, Holly Bear.
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: She can't be mad at somebody because now you want
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: them to do some extra. Gotta take what you did.
- 2:02:55Speaker 7: Man, All that batpie girl did was bite.
- 2:02:57Speaker 9: Me on the neck.
- 2:03:00Speaker 7: And you should have told this story like twenty years ago.
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: Why we all old now, man, you're almost sixty and
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: now you're talking about a woman you divorced in nineteen
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: ninety six. She off not cooking and not cleaning for
- 2:03:15Speaker 1: somebody else. Now you thought she was gonna cook and clean.
- 2:03:20Speaker 1: That's exactly why Big Kenny want to marry Serena because
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: I ain't that hung part ro, I ain't that hunger,
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: and I'm pretty good at keeping things neat myself.
- 2:03:33Speaker 7: Serena, I just need some thirty love. That's all I need.
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: In the second set, That's all I want love, thirty love.
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: You want to go to the third say I take
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: the game into the lawns. Some of that commands, greg O, Dave.
- 2:03:50Speaker 7: Justin fuck nobody.
- 2:03:52Speaker 3: She wouldn't cook it, because yeah, that's why you want to.
- 2:03:57Speaker 7: What I'm gonna do, I'm gonna go in here and
- 2:03:59Speaker 7: talk to Holly Bear that I want.
