- 0:11Speaker 1: You're locked in to off the bench live from the
- 0:19Speaker 1: raising cane studio here's jacob hester and matt flynn.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yo!
- 0:44Speaker 4: Yo!
- 0:45Speaker 5: Yo!
- 0:46Speaker 6: Ow!
- 0:47Speaker 2: Ow!
- 0:48Speaker 3: Ow!
- 0:52Speaker 4: That felt like a herd dog, Taylor.
- 0:53Speaker 7: Are you okay? Yeah, I'm good.
- 0:56Speaker 8: It was kind of like, ow!
- 0:58Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 0:58Speaker 4: You stepped on something.
- 1:00Speaker 8: Someone stepped on his paw.
- 1:01Speaker 4: You got something on your paw.
- 1:03Speaker 9: It really did feel like you stepped on something.
- 1:05Speaker 4: That's okay.
- 1:05Speaker 7: More of a yelp than a howl?
- 1:06Speaker 8: Yeah, it kind of was.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Like a sticker bird.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 7: I appreciate it.
- 1:10Speaker 4: I'll work on it.
- 1:11Speaker 7: Tomorrow will be better.
- 1:12Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:13Speaker 8: I mean, our house can't be perfect every time.
- 1:15Speaker 7: All I can promise is that I'll be better tomorrow
- 1:17Speaker 7: than I am today. That's all we can do.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Constant and never-ending self-improvement. Good job. Can't go back and
- 1:22Speaker 4: change what I just did. Someone stepped on your tail
- 1:24Speaker 4: when they were walking by you. Yeah. Maybe.
- 1:27Speaker 7: Maybe so.
- 1:30Speaker 4: You okay?
- 1:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm good.
- 1:33Speaker 4: I didn't really have a tail, so I don't really
- 1:35Speaker 4: step on his tail too much. Same. Got a nub.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Got a nub.
- 1:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 4: It's a docked tail.
- 1:39Speaker 7: That's what my dog has to do.
- 1:40Speaker 8: I love when the little nubs wag.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. It's so funny. Real cute.
- 1:44Speaker 8: Like, aw, you don't even have your full tail.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Look at him trying. My dog, if he didn't have
- 1:49Speaker 4: a dog tail, he'd be lethal around the house.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Really?
- 1:52Speaker 7: Whipping that thing.
- 1:55Speaker 4: It's fair. Our lab's lethal with it. Yeah. Yeah. Like
- 1:59Speaker 4: a joust.
- 2:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Coming right for you.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Anyway, Jake, Flynn, and Laundry Tay-Tay here with you. Sorry
- 2:08Speaker 6: the howl threw me off there.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Your house has been a little bit more like drug out. Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 4: A little bit. Yeah. Like more on the ow part.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Just trying to change it up a little bit. Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 4: You got to. You got to keep the people guessing.
- 2:21Speaker 4: You do.
- 2:21Speaker 8: I don't think I've changed mine at all.
- 2:24Speaker 4: So you don't really have to. I was just making
- 2:26Speaker 4: it feel better. You don't have to keep the people guessing.
- 2:27Speaker 8: Okay.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 8: Like I could.
- 2:30Speaker 9: You stay constant.
- 2:32Speaker 4: People wake up. They're like, I wonder what those howls
- 2:34Speaker 4: are going to sound like today.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Well, we've had multiple people come to Rouse's and say
- 2:39Speaker 6: that That's what they wait for.
- 2:41Speaker 4: They actually do. I'm not lying to you.
- 2:43Speaker 8: I go and they say their kids howl at us.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah, shout out to everybody in the car right now
- 2:48Speaker 4: that howled.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Give us a howl.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Audibly howled in your car. We appreciate it. Everyone howl
- 2:52Speaker 4: right now. Yeah, roll your window down. Let the people know.
- 2:56Speaker 5: If you're driving by Government Street, definitely roll your window
- 2:59Speaker 5: down and howl so we can hear it.
- 3:01Speaker 4: If we had a window open, that wouldn't be that
- 3:02Speaker 4: uncommon on Government, I feel like.
- 3:04Speaker 8: No.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Just people howling all the time.
- 3:09Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Foot traffic?
- 3:15Speaker 7: More than likely. Like, if I see somebody howl in
- 3:17Speaker 7: their car in government, my thought is, it's the third
- 3:20Speaker 7: one this morning.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yeah, right. Must be an OTB listener.
- 3:27Speaker 7: A lot of them out and about today.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Y'all ever been to that 24-hour Walgreens on Government Street?
- 3:35Speaker 4: No.
- 3:36Speaker 8: It's like the Twilight Zone.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 8: It doesn't matter what time of the day.
- 3:40Speaker 7: Yeah, Government Acadian.
- 3:41Speaker 8: It doesn't matter what time of day you go in there.
- 3:44Speaker 8: It's the Twilight Zone.
- 3:45Speaker 4: It's great.
- 3:45Speaker 5: And you should be grateful that you made it out
- 3:49Speaker 5: of that Walgreens.
- 3:50Speaker 9: Why is that Walgreens 24 hours?
- 3:53Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 3:53Speaker 7: I'll tell you what, though.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Just in case, you know.
- 3:56Speaker 8: I saw them, though, Sam.
- 3:58Speaker 7: They're doing something, right? Because there used to be a
- 4:00Speaker 7: CVS right across from it. No, they turned.
- 4:03Speaker 8: It into a strip mall.
- 4:04Speaker 7: So Walgreens.
- 4:05Speaker 5: There's like a PJ's now, like the PJ's coffee.
- 4:09Speaker 8: They have that now and then a Wingstop.
- 4:11Speaker 5: And then they have like empty ones, I guess, that
- 4:12Speaker 5: they haven't done anything with them yet.
- 4:15Speaker 8: Yeah, I haven't tried it yet.
- 4:16Speaker 4: That is a strange situation.
- 4:18Speaker 8: The CVS and Walgreens always across the street from each other.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 8: Because the one on Lee is like that too.
- 4:24Speaker 7: The intersection in Walker.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:27Speaker 7: Walgreens, CVS, here to crush them each other.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah. CVS was there, and then Walgreens was like, you
- 4:33Speaker 4: know what? I think we'll offer the exact same thing
- 4:36Speaker 4: for people that don't want to turn left.
- 4:37Speaker 7: It's funny you say that.
- 4:39Speaker 9: For me, it's which one's more convenient, which one's the
- 4:41Speaker 9: right turn.
- 4:42Speaker 7: It's funny you say that. The CVS and Walker was first,
- 4:45Speaker 7: and then like three years later, the Walgreens popped up.
- 4:48Speaker 7: And that's what I do. Like if I'm going, if
- 4:49Speaker 7: we're like a family function, and I'm like, oh, crap,
- 4:51Speaker 7: I forgot to grab a 12-pack. Let me, you know,
- 4:53Speaker 7: like coach or something, let me run in and grab something.
- 4:55Speaker 7: I go to that one, but if I'm coming home,
- 4:57Speaker 7: I go to CVS because it's on the same side
- 4:59Speaker 7: as me.
- 4:59Speaker 8: Wait, did we just figure it out? Is that why
- 5:01Speaker 8: they do it?
- 5:02Speaker 7: It's got to be.
- 5:02Speaker 4: It's got to be.
- 5:03Speaker 7: Because if you do it on the same side, you're
- 5:05Speaker 7: going to your favorite one every time.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, if you're one of the other companies, I'm sure
- 5:11Speaker 4: they've both done it, CVS or Walgreens, and you're like, okay,
- 5:15Speaker 4: they're making X amount of dollars right now. They got
- 5:20Speaker 4: literally the market cornered.
- 5:22Speaker 5: True.
- 5:23Speaker 4: And they're like, I can split that with them. Because
- 5:26Speaker 4: of convenience.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Go across the street. People are going to do right
- 5:30Speaker 4: turns instead of having to turn. Because usually it's a
- 5:32Speaker 4: busy street. Wow. It's always a busy street, right? So
- 5:35Speaker 4: you don't want to left turn out of the parking lot.
- 5:38Speaker 4: If you're coming.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Towards government from Acadian, it's three lanes with that turn
- 5:41Speaker 7: in lane. If you're going towards Acadian, you're not turning
- 5:44Speaker 7: left right there.
- 5:45Speaker 4: And when are people going to CVS and Walgreens most often?
- 5:49Speaker 4: In the morning, in the afternoons, on their way to
- 5:52Speaker 4: or from work, at the height of traffic. And you
- 5:55Speaker 4: don't want to left turn. So you're always going to
- 5:58Speaker 4: right turn into CVS or Walgreens. So like, all right,
- 6:01Speaker 4: these people are making $ 20 million a year at this location.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Let's both make 10.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:07Speaker 7: They're just so funny. You've nailed it because we figured
- 6:11Speaker 7: it out. So like when Victoria was getting any medicine
- 6:14Speaker 7: she needed to be on while pregnant or like baby
- 6:17Speaker 7: now gets them, the doctor always asks, which pharmacy you
- 6:20Speaker 7: want to send it to? And Victoria's like, okay, if
- 6:21Speaker 7: I drop them off at daycare, which one's the best one?
- 6:24Speaker 7: And we pick. And if it's ready in the afternoon,
- 6:29Speaker 7: she's like, oh, you go to Walgreens because it's on
- 6:32Speaker 7: this side.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Yeah, we do that. A lot of people do that, too.
- 6:34Speaker 4: A lot of people have partnered up. I'm not saying
- 6:36Speaker 4: they're partners, but like the weird KFC Taco Bell situation. Dude,
- 6:41Speaker 4: do you remember those? A lot of people do.
- 6:42Speaker 7: Remember the ones that used to be connected?
- 6:44Speaker 8: They have one on Florida.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Do they?
- 6:47Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 4: You'll see a lot of similar type big box or
- 6:51Speaker 4: big chain situations next to each other just across the street.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I'm so old that it used to be.
- 6:57Speaker 9: K and B and Eckerd's drugstore.
- 7:01Speaker 7: Eckerd's. Yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Well, there is a weird, like, um, there's a, there's
- 7:05Speaker 4: the location on corporate here, corporate and Jefferson.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 4: That was right.
- 7:12Speaker 8: Right.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Right now it's like a, like a feed store, like
- 7:15Speaker 4: a bougie feed animal store situation.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 4: I mean, bougie feed.
- 7:20Speaker 5: But that was across the street from a Walgreens. There's
- 7:23Speaker 5: a Walgreens right there.
- 7:23Speaker 4: That is true. Um, Friday just didn't have the juice,
- 7:27Speaker 4: you know what I mean? But it used to also
- 7:30Speaker 4: be the spirit Halloween place at a certain time. Buddy,
- 7:34Speaker 4: you give it a little bit, it will be again.
- 7:36Speaker 4: You'll see that plastic banner pop up real fast.
- 7:40Speaker 5: I don't know how many Denny's there are in the
- 7:42Speaker 5: state of Louisiana, but when I was in Texas, I
- 7:46Speaker 5: feel like there was always a La Quinta right by
- 7:49Speaker 5: a Denny's.
- 7:50Speaker 8: Always, every single time.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Mm-hmm. I don't know if there's enough of a sample
- 7:54Speaker 5: size there, but I feel like it happened often enough
- 7:57Speaker 5: for me to be like, why is there always a
- 7:58Speaker 5: Denny's by looking?
- 7:59Speaker 7: Oh, every city that a Cracker Barrel restaurant is in,
- 8:03Speaker 7: I feel like they looked and they're like, there's four
- 8:05Speaker 7: hotels right here. Let's drop a Cracker Barrel in the
- 8:07Speaker 7: middle of the parking lot.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Yeah. And it works. Has anybody ever bought a rocking
- 8:12Speaker 4: chair from Cracker Barrel?
- 8:13Speaker 3: No.
- 8:14Speaker 4: No, but I've sat in them. I've sat in them.
- 8:17Speaker 4: They're selling them.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Really?
- 8:19Speaker 4: They're for sale. They're doing business with those rocking chairs.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I don't know if anybody's ever actually bought one. If
- 8:25Speaker 4: you have, get in the chat. Let us know. I'm curious.
- 8:28Speaker 8: I have definitely sat in them playing that chess. I mean, checkers.
- 8:31Speaker 7: They don't need to, though, right? Because it's such a
- 8:34Speaker 7: convenience that you don't mind waiting. I feel like selling
- 8:37Speaker 7: the rocking chairs is just a bonus for them. They're like,
- 8:40Speaker 7: if we sell it, we sell it.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Just think about it.
- 8:43Speaker 7: You don't mind waiting to crack a barrel.
- 8:44Speaker 4: You're going to walk around. I mean, pancakes are good.
- 8:46Speaker 4: They don't need to sell rocking chairs. They don't need to.
- 8:51Speaker 5: True.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Okay. We got someone in the chat here. Mr. Daniel Basham.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Bought my geriatric dad one of those rocking chairs.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Nice.
- 9:06Speaker 9: Feels like it's the real thing.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Like, if you buy one from Cracker Barrel, like, you
- 9:10Speaker 6: didn't buy just at, like, you know, home goods.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Yeah. I bought this one at Cracker Barrel. There's two
- 9:16Speaker 4: places in the world I feel like to buy rocking chairs.
- 9:20Speaker 4: That is... Cracker Barrel? The other is the Angola Prison Rodeo.
- 9:25Speaker 4: That's the only two places in my mind.
- 9:28Speaker 8: Champ says he has four Cracker Barrel rockers on his porch.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Are you serious? That's not real. Can't hide money. What
- 9:34Speaker 4: are people supposed to sit in when there's an hour
- 9:36Speaker 4: and a half wait?
- 9:39Speaker 5: See, someone just texted, there used to be a Denny's
- 9:41Speaker 5: and La Quinta next to each other on Acadian.
- 9:43Speaker 4: There we go. You nailed that.
- 9:45Speaker 8: I'm telling y'all.
- 9:49Speaker 7: I've never been to a Denny's.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Four? Cracker Barrel Rockers?
- 9:53Speaker 8: Four is a lot.
- 9:54Speaker 4: That's a lot. That's a flex. That's showing off. Just
- 9:57Speaker 4: showing off. He's just showing off now.
- 9:59Speaker 7: I'll try to find out where they're from. A couple
- 10:02Speaker 7: that moved out of the house when we bought it,
- 10:05Speaker 7: Victoria really wanted the rocking chairs on the front porch,
- 10:07Speaker 7: and they're like, ah, we're taking them. We've had them forever.
- 10:10Speaker 7: Victoria's like, that's fine. And on the day of closing,
- 10:12Speaker 7: they were like, Couldn't fit them in the moving van.
- 10:14Speaker 7: We didn't want to pay another trip. The Rockers are y'all's.
- 10:17Speaker 7: So we got them. So I'm like, they might be
- 10:18Speaker 7: Cracker Barrel Rockers.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I would just scratch it in there at the bottom.
- 10:23Speaker 7: We're going to say where they are, yeah?
- 10:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 7: I can get a sticker.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Next time I go to Cracker Barrel, just slap that
- 10:27Speaker 4: bad boy on the bottom. Bastion's comment about buying it
- 10:37Speaker 4: for his late father there gave me a good reminder.
- 10:42Speaker 4: The word geriatric is used way too loosely for women
- 10:46Speaker 4: 35 and older when they're pregnant.
- 10:47Speaker 8: Facts.
- 10:48Speaker 4: My God.
- 10:48Speaker 7: They call it the geriatric pregnancy.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I'm like, what? Is that word necessary?
- 10:54Speaker 7: Apparently.
- 10:55Speaker 4: It's crazy. Necessary? Necessary? Drink my own pee?
- 10:59Speaker 7: Because you're not referred to that at that age in
- 11:02Speaker 7: any other scenario. In any scenario. It's never even a thought.
- 11:06Speaker 4: The geriatric pregnancy. What? It's aggressive?
- 11:11Speaker 8: That is aggressive.
- 11:12Speaker 4: So aggressive.
- 11:13Speaker 5: You say that and you imagine like an 85-year-old woman
- 11:15Speaker 5: being pregnant.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 11:17Speaker 9: I did appreciate just using it, though.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Huh? I did appreciate using it, though. Hey. Just got
- 11:22Speaker 4: to giggle a little bit. Geriatric. Yeah.
- 11:26Speaker 8: Don't pick that up.
- 11:27Speaker 6: You're geriatric.
- 11:27Speaker 4: It seems like an 85-90 immaculate conception type situation.
- 11:32Speaker 8: Oh, yeah. Right.
- 11:32Speaker 7: I mean, don't get me wrong. Like, if we decide
- 11:36Speaker 7: to have a baby and Victoria's that age, oh, I'm
- 11:38Speaker 7: using it for sure.
- 11:39Speaker 4: That's happening. Right.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Other people can't use it.
- 11:45Speaker 4: The doctor says that you just slap him real quick.
- 11:47Speaker 5: What?
- 11:47Speaker 4: Sorry. It's a reaction.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 11:50Speaker 4: It's a reactionary.
- 11:51Speaker 7: Only I get to call her a geriatric.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Hey, baby. Hey, can I get you a rocker?
- 11:55Speaker 8: Can I get you a Cracker Barrel rocker?
- 11:58Speaker 4: Can I get you a Cracker Barrel?
- 11:58Speaker 7: I got one of them nice ones on the way home.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Dude.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Your laugh is so funny right now because you can't
- 12:07Speaker 5: laugh without coughing.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I can't.
- 12:09Speaker 8: It'd be like that. I've been, like, that's the worst.
- 12:13Speaker 7: Been there. Look, there he goes again.
- 12:14Speaker 8: La Quinta, Spanish for next to Denny's.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Spanish for next.
- 12:24Speaker 5: Wait, two people just said that. Okay, I guess Mitch
- 12:27Speaker 5: Hedberg had a joke about it. I've only heard really
- 12:31Speaker 5: like the Dufresne joke from him and some other stuff.
- 12:34Speaker 5: So like I didn't hear that. I just, I didn't
- 12:37Speaker 5: know this was a thing. But I always noticed there
- 12:39Speaker 5: was always a Denny's next to a La Quinta.
- 12:41Speaker 7: You're on to something. It's like we don't have a
- 12:43Speaker 7: ton of Denny's here. We got a La Quinta and
- 12:44Speaker 7: Walker right next to Waffle House. So very similar vibe.
- 12:48Speaker 4: I think everybody ages around 40 to 50 always. Every
- 12:53Speaker 4: now and then, I would say at least 20 to
- 12:56Speaker 4: 30 times during the year, I think about Mitch Hedberg.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 4: I don't know why.
- 13:02Speaker 6: He's funny.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Well, I do know why. A couple things. For one,
- 13:05Speaker 4: every time I see.
- 13:06Speaker 8: A- How does he eat at a time like this?
- 13:09Speaker 4: Yeah. For one, when I see an escalator that's not working,
- 13:14Speaker 4: I always say Mitch Hedberg because his joke was- When
- 13:19Speaker 4: I love it when I see an escalator and it
- 13:21Speaker 4: says there's a sign, it's not working. It says temporarily
- 13:23Speaker 4: out of order.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 4: And he's like, no, it's just temporarily stairs.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:28Speaker 7: That's all it is.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Let me use it. So every time I see that,
- 13:32Speaker 4: I think about Mitch.
- 13:34Speaker 5: I've seen like a few of his things and he's
- 13:37Speaker 5: really funny.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 8: Rest in peace.
- 13:39Speaker 4: When I turn on my, um, I didn't do it now,
- 13:42Speaker 4: but a couple of months ago when I turn on
- 13:43Speaker 4: my television, um, So it goes to like the, I
- 13:47Speaker 4: have a Samsung. So like the, like the Samsung, like
- 13:49Speaker 4: home channel, whatever it is, TV plus or whatever it
- 13:53Speaker 4: is before you get to the good stuff, the good apps. Right.
- 13:57Speaker 4: So sometimes I just turn the TV on and I
- 13:58Speaker 4: forget to, and I walk off and I come back
- 14:01Speaker 4: and it's playing Letterman. Yeah. I don't know why it
- 14:03Speaker 4: plays Letterman, but it does, but it plays old school
- 14:05Speaker 4: Letterman and it's always Mitch Hedberg on there. Then I
- 14:08Speaker 4: just sit there and watch for five minutes. I didn't
- 14:12Speaker 4: know who that was.
- 14:13Speaker 9: Still don't really.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 8: I feel like it was kind of short-lived, right?
- 14:18Speaker 4: Yeah, so we were into, so when I first got
- 14:22Speaker 4: to LSU, we were into watching Mitch Hedberg stand up
- 14:25Speaker 4: and Chappelle show.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 4: It was like we'd sit there. Chappelle show for sure.
- 14:29Speaker 4: We'd get a couple people, come over to the WCA dorm,
- 14:32Speaker 4: apartment 814.
- 14:34Speaker 7: 814?
- 14:35Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Shout out to anybody living at 814. Who are we?
- 14:41Speaker 4: I had it first. We were right behind. You were
- 14:44Speaker 4: right beneath you. You were right below. I don't know
- 14:46Speaker 4: if that 8.
- 14:47Speaker 3: 614?
- 14:47Speaker 4: It's building 8, bro. Come on.
- 14:49Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Do you know how numbers work? It was? I don't know.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Building 8. Heck yeah. All right. I had to write
- 15:00Speaker 4: multiple letters to the dean that year. For what? Disciplinary actions. Yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 4: for what? There was a couple things, but they were
- 15:09Speaker 4: all BS. One time because we put Christmas lights up
- 15:12Speaker 4: on our balcony. Yeah, I remember that. We're not supposed
- 15:14Speaker 4: to do that. And I said, well, y'all are Scrooges.
- 15:17Speaker 8: That is Scrooge.
- 15:19Speaker 4: And we put Christmas lights on there. And they came
- 15:21Speaker 4: and ripped them down physically.
- 15:23Speaker 8: That's messed up.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And we had to write a letter to the dean apologizing.
- 15:28Speaker 8: Oh, I'm so sorry for being jolly.
- 15:29Speaker 4: So sorry that you hate Christmas.
- 15:32Speaker 7: Grinch.
- 15:32Speaker 4: What was the other time? Somebody left an empty alcohol bottle.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Wasn't us.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Left an empty alcohol somebody yeah multiple of them up
- 15:45Speaker 6: on our shelves.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah they'd have nice like decor oh the classic
- 15:50Speaker 5: frat house like.
- 15:51Speaker 4: The cheese and we put the highlighter yeah we put
- 15:54Speaker 4: like that took the highlighter pins and put them in there.
- 15:56Speaker 9: Yeah it's really dumb i had them like all above.
- 16:00Speaker 5: I remember daniel said god i couldn't imagine living in
- 16:02Speaker 5: 714 hearing godzilla stop around.
- 16:05Speaker 8: Above me.
- 16:09Speaker 9: It was him, Peter Dykowski, and Kyle Williams. Yeah, all
- 16:14Speaker 9: big fellas.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Keith Zinger as well one year. Shout out to Zinger.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Shout out. Jordan Reaver.
- 16:22Speaker 6: Is Keith Zinger right now, is he in Leesville, Louisiana,
- 16:26Speaker 6: slinging something? Insurance, commercial real estate, something.
- 16:30Speaker 4: For sure. Maybe the mayor. If he's not, they're missing
- 16:34Speaker 4: an opportunity. He might be the mayor of Leesville. Keith's
- 16:36Speaker 4: the man. I'm going to look that up. All right,
- 16:38Speaker 4: we'll take our first break.
- 16:39Speaker 6: More OTB when we come back here live from the
- 16:41Speaker 6: Raising Cane Studio.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Bro, don't you hate it when your toilet just doesn't work?
- 16:47Speaker 4: It is the worst.
- 16:49Speaker 6: When it happens, I just give Central Plumbing a call,
- 16:52Speaker 6: and I go to the website centralplumbing.org.
- 16:54Speaker 4: What do they do?
- 16:56Speaker 6: They fix it 24-7, 365, weekend, holiday, game day, doesn't matter.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Here in the Baton Rouge area. Also now in the
- 17:03Speaker 6: Lafayette area.
- 17:04Speaker 4: That's right. They're expanding.
- 17:05Speaker 9: They're growing.
- 17:06Speaker 6: Been in the game since the 1970s. It's not only
- 17:09Speaker 6: in emergencies. If you're looking to upgrade, they can certainly
- 17:11Speaker 6: do that for you as well. Go to that website, centralplumbing.org. Sorry, centralplumbing, centralplumbing.org.
- 17:17Speaker 6: The plumbing experts here in South Louisiana. So whether it's commercial,
- 17:21Speaker 6: whether it's residential, just like Alondra said, if something's wrong
- 17:23Speaker 6: with the toilet, they got you fixed.
- 17:25Speaker 4: If something's wrong with the gas line, well, they can
- 17:28Speaker 4: fix that as well. Anything, water line, gas line, big, small,
- 17:32Speaker 4: they've been doing it a long time. They are a
- 17:33Speaker 4: third generation company. which means there's nothing too big, there's
- 17:38Speaker 4: nothing too small. They are experts at everything in the
- 17:41Speaker 4: plumbing game. So give them a call. And like Jake said,
- 17:43Speaker 4: there's 24-7 emergency service. So if something happens any time
- 17:46Speaker 4: of the day, any time of the year, they can
- 17:47Speaker 4: help you fix that right there, right now. Centralpulmon.org.
- 17:50Speaker 3: 2007 champs.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Purple and gold to the core. This is Off the
- 18:10Speaker 1: Bench with Hester and Flynn. Baton Rouge's go-to for all
- 18:14Speaker 1: things Louisiana sports.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Do you ever get that fear that you can't shift
- 18:25Speaker 2: the tide that sticks around like summits in your teeth?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Are there some aces up your sleeve? Have you no
- 18:34Speaker 2: idea that you're in deep?
- 18:37Speaker 3: I dreamt about.
- 18:38Speaker 2: You nearly every night this week.
- 18:41Speaker 8: How many secrets can you keep?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Because there's this tune I found that makes me think
- 18:48Speaker 2: of you somehow. And I play it on repeat until
- 18:54Speaker 2: I fall asleep. Spilling drinks on my settee.
- 19:00Speaker 9: All right, welcome back in.
- 19:02Speaker 6: OTB here live from the Raising Cane Studio. I do
- 19:07Speaker 6: have an update on two-time national champion Keith Zinger.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 19:11Speaker 9: He's not the mayor of Leesville.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Ah.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Well, they missed an opportunity.
- 19:16Speaker 9: He's not in Leesville at all.
- 19:18Speaker 6: Oh.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:19Speaker 9: He's in Lafayette.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 19:21Speaker 9: Where he owns a Jersey Mike's sub.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Oh, hell yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 4: That's what I'm talking about. He's the owner of a
- 19:28Speaker 4: Jersey Mike's. I like that.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:31Speaker 9: So, shout out to Keith. Two-time national champion.
- 19:34Speaker 4: People are franchisees of some of those chains. Man, they
- 19:39Speaker 4: do nice work.
- 19:42Speaker 9: Should we open up a jersey market?
- 19:43Speaker 8: I was thinking we should get a franchise. I don't know,
- 19:46Speaker 8: maybe a Chick-fil-A.
- 19:47Speaker 4: That'd be fun. You have to work there if you
- 19:49Speaker 4: do Chick-fil-A.
- 19:50Speaker 8: Oh, no thanks.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 7: I was just like, I just want the money, which
- 19:53Speaker 7: I totally get.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Yeah, you have to, like.
- 19:55Speaker 8: Why would I buy a franchise and then work at it?
- 19:56Speaker 4: Right.
- 19:57Speaker 7: I don't want to do that.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's got to be owner-operated. Yeah. This is a
- 20:02Speaker 4: true story.
- 20:03Speaker 6: 2009, 10 maybe. Raising Cane's wasn't out in California yet. Like,
- 20:10Speaker 6: it hadn't grown that far yet. And I was like, dude,
- 20:14Speaker 6: it would crush it if it was out here. And
- 20:18Speaker 6: started to try to get some things together. Had some
- 20:20Speaker 6: teammates that were like, yeah, we'll do it.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Let's, you know. And I was thinking, okay, we'll have
- 20:24Speaker 4: two stores. You know, we'll do two. It'll be good.
- 20:28Speaker 6: And I remember talking with Raising Cane's. They're like, no,
- 20:30Speaker 6: we're not there yet. So, like, if you did a store, like,
- 20:32Speaker 6: you'd have to do. A bunch of stores.
- 20:35Speaker 9: Like, you don't get to just do, like, one or two.
- 20:38Speaker 6: Like, you'd have to do, like, 15 to create a
- 20:41Speaker 6: footprint there and to kind of make it make sense.
- 20:44Speaker 4: I'm like, well, you know, I was third-round pick.
- 20:49Speaker 9: I'm on my first contract, so it's probably not going
- 20:53Speaker 9: to work out.
- 20:54Speaker 4: They don't do a lot of franchising. No. But in time, like, again,
- 20:57Speaker 4: this is 16, 17 years ago, something around there.
- 21:02Speaker 6: And so, like, we had conversations and talked about it
- 21:04Speaker 6: for a little bit, but they're like, ah, you're going
- 21:06Speaker 6: to do, like, 15 of them.
- 21:10Speaker 9: Hey, Phillip, you want to do some raising canes?
- 21:12Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, bro. You want to do about 15, 20?
- 21:14Speaker 4: I don't know. We don't know each other great yet. Yeah. Right.
- 21:19Speaker 4: I tried. I tried. It was a good effort. I
- 21:22Speaker 4: think you should– I think someone should pay you for
- 21:24Speaker 4: just the effort, the thought.
- 21:30Speaker 9: I'm not going to argue with you.
- 21:32Speaker 8: Look at us now.
- 21:32Speaker 4: When I was in Wisconsin.
- 21:34Speaker 8: Kane's sponsor.
- 21:35Speaker 4: I mean, right? That's right. When I was in Wisconsin,
- 21:37Speaker 4: there wasn't one. Wait, was there not? I feel like
- 21:41Speaker 4: there wasn't one Chick-fil-A in all of Wisconsin.
- 21:43Speaker 8: Wait, like at all?
- 21:44Speaker 4: It was something crazy. I was like, well.
- 21:48Speaker 5: I guess the North kind of just started catching on
- 21:51Speaker 5: to Chick-fil-A in like the last.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Again, yeah, that's like 16, 17 years ago. And I
- 21:55Speaker 4: was like, wow, I should just open one.
- 21:59Speaker 7: You're like, nah, it'll never work.
- 22:01Speaker 4: And everywhere. People don't like chicken up here.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Even when I was Round Rock, there was only one,
- 22:06Speaker 5: and it was super far from me, and we would
- 22:08Speaker 5: only go, like, that was our fancy fast food that
- 22:11Speaker 5: we would go get.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Oh, it still is.
- 22:13Speaker 7: True.
- 22:17Speaker 6: Now I can't stop but, like, help to think about, like,
- 22:20Speaker 6: what other teammates are doing now.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Let's just have a Thursday show.
- 22:24Speaker 5: We should just call them all and be like, what
- 22:27Speaker 5: are y'all doing?
- 22:27Speaker 4: I feel like the Jersey Mike thing is great, brilliant.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 22:32Speaker 8: Where does he own this Jersey Mike?
- 22:34Speaker 4: In Lafayette. I bet he's crushing it. Wow, he probably is.
- 22:38Speaker 8: Big news, guys. Swig. The dirty soda shop. I feel
- 22:43Speaker 8: like I told you all about this. I don't know.
- 22:45Speaker 8: They make sodas that are like.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Dirty.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's like Mormons came up with.
- 22:49Speaker 8: It because, you know, they can't have coffee.
- 22:51Speaker 5: So like Swig was really big in Utah.
- 22:54Speaker 8: And now they're kind of going everywhere. Opened here.
- 22:57Speaker 7: I think a lot of them in Texas, right?
- 22:59Speaker 4: Didn't sugar alter the mind as well?
- 23:02Speaker 8: I don't know. It's weird because they can't have coffee
- 23:05Speaker 8: and tea.
- 23:05Speaker 4: There's a line there.
- 23:07Speaker 8: I don't know what it is.
- 23:09Speaker 5: I'm not going to act like I do, but they
- 23:11Speaker 5: can't have coffee and stuff, but they can have energy
- 23:13Speaker 5: drinks and sodas.
- 23:15Speaker 7: Where is the Swig going to be?
- 23:17Speaker 5: On airline.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Asking for a friend, Taylor?
- 23:20Speaker 7: No, I'd like to try it. I've heard good things.
- 23:23Speaker 8: Farm Village, I think, is what they call it.
- 23:24Speaker 4: You like to have a little pop every now and then?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:28Speaker 7: On rare occasions, Matt, I like to treat myself. I
- 23:31Speaker 7: know what you're thinking. Taylor, you're a very clean eater.
- 23:35Speaker 7: You're a very healthy person. There's no way you're going
- 23:37Speaker 7: to go to a soda shop. Not true, Matt. Not true.
- 23:40Speaker 7: I like to have a cheat day.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Based on the picture you sent yesterday to the group
- 23:45Speaker 4: and how excited you were that Wendy's went back to yellow.
- 23:49Speaker 7: You guys were not as excited about that. I'm very surprised.
- 23:52Speaker 4: He sent us a picture of a French fry eating.
- 23:56Speaker 4: holder and a french fry holder and a coke french
- 24:00Speaker 4: fry cup french fry what we call those things container
- 24:03Speaker 4: i don't know french fry container that was yellow from
- 24:05Speaker 4: wendy's and he said guys big news wendy's switched back to.
- 24:10Speaker 7: Yellow yeah that's huge news okay when's the last.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Time you went to a wendy's For me, it had
- 24:18Speaker 4: been a while.
- 24:18Speaker 9: Look, I don't dislike Wendy's.
- 24:20Speaker 3: No.
- 24:20Speaker 7: It's a while. No, it had been a while. I
- 24:22Speaker 7: hadn't been there in a long time. Two months. Which
- 24:25Speaker 7: is weird because we got one at Walker. But, dude,
- 24:27Speaker 7: they knew. It hadn't been since summer. No, they knew
- 24:29Speaker 7: I hadn't been there in a while. Freaking the Dave
- 24:32Speaker 7: single keeps popping up on my Facebook page as an ad.
- 24:34Speaker 7: And I was like, nah, I kind of want a
- 24:36Speaker 7: Wendy's burger.
- 24:37Speaker 8: I don't even get Wendy's ads on my phone.
- 24:39Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 24:40Speaker 8: If you're getting Wendy's ads on your phone.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I know.
- 24:43Speaker 7: I know.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Dollar Man chicken sandwich.
- 24:45Speaker 6: Yeah, we'll go sometimes because we got like the Biggie
- 24:47Speaker 6: bag where it's like four things for four bucks and
- 24:50Speaker 6: we got a lot of Hester's.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 9: So we'll go get a bunch of Biggie bags.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Wait, was it Wendy's that was doing tacos at one point?
- 24:55Speaker 4: Jack in the Box.
- 24:55Speaker 7: That's Jack in the Box and they still do.
- 24:57Speaker 9: Their tacos are good.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Sorry, Taylor. They're still good.
- 25:00Speaker 8: Taylor's like, oh, that's.
- 25:02Speaker 9: Jack in the Box. Oh, that is Jack in the Box.
- 25:04Speaker 8: Do not disrespect Wendy's.
- 25:06Speaker 4: What color are they? They're red and white. Classic.
- 25:10Speaker 7: I don't think they've ever been yellow. No, but you
- 25:13Speaker 7: don't know the whole thing about like people online were
- 25:15Speaker 7: always like, oh, yellow Wendy's tastes better because it was
- 25:17Speaker 7: like our childhood.
- 25:18Speaker 4: No. Yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 7: It's back, apparently.
- 25:21Speaker 4: I never had Wendy's really growing up. I only had
- 25:23Speaker 4: Wendy's in college because they had chicken sandwich on the
- 25:26Speaker 4: dollar menu.
- 25:29Speaker 8: I miss a dollar menu. They're not a dollar anymore.
- 25:33Speaker 4: They still got dollar stores. And they're not even a
- 25:36Speaker 4: dollar anymore. Nothing even close to that.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Wait, so the Dollar Generals were never a dollar, but
- 25:42Speaker 5: the Dollar Tree is not a dollar anymore?
- 25:45Speaker 9: No, some stuff is, but not everything.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Wow. We used to be a proper country.
- 25:52Speaker 8: We're not anymore.
- 25:53Speaker 5: You know what else gives me the indication that we're
- 25:56Speaker 5: falling as a society?
- 25:57Speaker 4: What's that?
- 25:57Speaker 8: I have not seen any Halloween commercials. Have y'all?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Do you watch a lot of television with commercials?
- 26:06Speaker 8: I mean, when I'm watching games... Yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 9: That's the only live TV I watch.
- 26:10Speaker 6: Same.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Like, that's really the only time I get commercials is
- 26:12Speaker 5: when I'm watching games.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I know.
- 26:15Speaker 5: But, like, even when I'm watching all the, I watch
- 26:18Speaker 5: a lot of games throughout the weekend. I don't feel
- 26:20Speaker 5: like I ever see any Halloween commercials.
- 26:22Speaker 4: I do feel like there's a lot of companies out
- 26:24Speaker 4: there that probably waste a lot of money on TV commercials.
- 26:27Speaker 7: True.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Because nobody watches them.
- 26:29Speaker 5: No.
- 26:30Speaker 4: I don't think. I mean, there is, there, it gotta be,
- 26:32Speaker 4: I would say most TV commercials gotta be targeted to, like,
- 26:35Speaker 4: an older age.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Like, that, You know, might not have gotten into the
- 26:40Speaker 4: subscription services quite as much.
- 26:42Speaker 7: Yeah, true.
- 26:43Speaker 4: They just kind of put it on.
- 26:45Speaker 8: Not even Liberty Bibberty is dressed up.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Not even the emu?
- 26:53Speaker 8: Lemu emu.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Huh. Makes you wonder. Are most Halloween commercials targeted towards kids? Kids.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Kind of like, man, I hadn't seen a cereal commercial
- 27:11Speaker 4: in a while.
- 27:12Speaker 5: True.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Since I was a child. Really makes you think.
- 27:17Speaker 6: I think I just want to try to find like random,
- 27:21Speaker 6: not random, but like former LSU people like Key Singer
- 27:25Speaker 6: and see what they're doing.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:27Speaker 9: I think we should all pick one. It's got to
- 27:30Speaker 9: be somebody that was like a starter.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:33Speaker 4: People know. No problem.
- 27:34Speaker 9: We got to give an update on what they're doing.
- 27:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Throughout the show. Okay.
- 27:38Speaker 9: Everybody's got to take one.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Is, like, any, like, time period?
- 27:43Speaker 7: Y'all's team?
- 27:44Speaker 4: No, no, no. It can be anybody. I mean, don't
- 27:46Speaker 4: do somebody from, like, last year. Oh, they're actually on
- 27:48Speaker 4: the practice squad for the Chiefs. Yeah. This one's actually
- 27:51Speaker 4: still on the team. Yeah, don't do that.
- 27:54Speaker 9: All right.
- 27:55Speaker 4: I don't know. Keith Singer owning a Jersey Mike's made
- 27:58Speaker 4: me happy today. That does make me happy. Yeah. Shout
- 28:02Speaker 4: out to Keith.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 28:04Speaker 4: I bet he's still strong as an ox. Oh, no doubt.
- 28:06Speaker 4: I bet he's built the same. Cheers. Rectangle. Refrigerator. That
- 28:14Speaker 4: is a big compliment, by the way. Unit. All right.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Let's take a break. We've got more OTV coming back.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Wampus rat? Wampus cat. Wampus cat.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 28:23Speaker 9: Yeah, the wampus cat. Kevin Mowai, Cecil Collins.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Yep. Michael Ford. Yep.
- 28:30Speaker 9: Anki Singer. Pretty decent. First American Bank and Trust is
- 28:35Speaker 9: way past decent.

- 28:52Speaker 6: account number. So bank with people that you know. Bank
- 28:55Speaker 6: with people that care. Go to First American Bank and
- 28:57Speaker 6: Trust at FABT.com.
- 28:59Speaker 4: That's right. First American Bank and Trust. FABT.com. Do business.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Go bank with a local bank. Somebody that's been here
- 29:06Speaker 4: in Louisiana, understands the culture, understands the people. and understands
- 29:11Speaker 4: your needs as whether it's just a personal account. Maybe
- 29:15Speaker 4: it's a loan. Maybe it's a mortgage. Maybe it's a HELOC.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Maybe you have a local business and you need a
- 29:20Speaker 4: little bit of capital. You need a little bit of
- 29:22Speaker 4: runway to bring some inventory in or to hire somebody. Well,
- 29:25Speaker 4: make sure you work with a local bank making local decisions.
- 29:28Speaker 4: First American Bank and Trust, fabt.com. We'll be back.
- 30:13Speaker 8: Tigers turn talkers.
- 30:15Speaker 4: This is Off The Bench.
- 30:46Speaker 3: You're too sweet for me. I take my whiskey in.
- 30:53Speaker 2: My coffee black and my bed in three.
- 30:58Speaker 4: You're too sweet.
- 31:00Speaker 6: All right, welcome back in OTV here live from the
- 31:03Speaker 6: Raising Cane Studio. Always want to remind you about our
- 31:05Speaker 6: friends over at Bayou Automotive. BayouAutomotive.com is the website down
- 31:09Speaker 6: in La Paz, Louisiana. A quick drive down to La Paz,
- 31:12Speaker 6: but if you can't make it there, that is okay.
- 31:14Speaker 6: They will deliver that vehicle right to you here in
- 31:17Speaker 6: the capital city for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. A
- 31:20Speaker 6: little bit of something for everybody down there in La Paz, Louisiana.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Check out the Black Widow package as well. And remember,
- 31:27Speaker 6: if you buy a vehicle from Bayou Automotive and you
- 31:29Speaker 6: need something as easy as an oil change, they'll still
- 31:31Speaker 6: pick up your vehicle here in Baton Rouge, give you
- 31:34Speaker 6: a loaner, and then bring your vehicle back. An incredible
- 31:36Speaker 6: service that they offer over there at Bayou Automotive.
- 31:39Speaker 4: All right, there was an update on Whit Weeks yesterday.
- 31:44Speaker 6: What was the name in the chat that asked Doc
- 31:47Speaker 6: about Whit?
- 31:47Speaker 4: Rhett Reeks.
- 31:50Speaker 6: Right, but there was an actual update yesterday. We all
- 31:55Speaker 6: know he got the leg fracture on September the 26th. Well,
- 31:58Speaker 6: he has continued to make good progress and may be
- 32:00Speaker 6: able to return to practice next week, according to CBS Sports.
- 32:05Speaker 6: It's even possible that he could end up returning to
- 32:08Speaker 6: game action as soon as next week versus Alabama. Now,
- 32:12Speaker 6: I don't know what that looks like. Don't know how
- 32:14Speaker 6: many plays that would be. Don't know if it'd be
- 32:16Speaker 6: a full game. Don't know any of the situation there.
- 32:19Speaker 6: But there is a chance he could return for that game.
- 32:22Speaker 6: Now there's a stronger likelihood that he does not play
- 32:24Speaker 6: in this game, and he plays against Texas the following week.
- 32:28Speaker 6: But still, it's a good update on Whit Weeks trying
- 32:31Speaker 6: to get back out there on the field. I think
- 32:33Speaker 6: we all know what he means to the team, not
- 32:35Speaker 6: only out there on the field, but just being around
- 32:39Speaker 6: the team, being in the locker room, being on the sidelines.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Even if Whit Weeks is dressed out for the Alabama game,
- 32:46Speaker 6: even if Whit Weeks goes through pregame warm-up, that still
- 32:50Speaker 6: is valuable for you, just having.
- 32:52Speaker 9: Him there and having him around the team.
- 32:55Speaker 6: But if he can play, if he can give you
- 32:57Speaker 6: ten plays, if he can give you eight plays, if
- 33:00Speaker 6: he gives you eight third downs, that is going to
- 33:03Speaker 6: be very beneficial for LSU.
- 33:05Speaker 9: So, again, we don't know what that looks like.
- 33:07Speaker 4: We don't know if that is actually going to happen.
- 33:10Speaker 6: But it sounds like he's got an opportunity, if things
- 33:13Speaker 6: continue to progress, to be out there in some capacity.
- 33:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it obviously would be a huge boost
- 33:20Speaker 4: for this team. Not that the defense certainly is suffering
- 33:27Speaker 4: without him, because they're playing at an elite level. Blake
- 33:33Speaker 4: Baker has spent three years now building this defense to
- 33:37Speaker 4: be a little bit better, a little bit better, a
- 33:38Speaker 4: little bit better each and every year. Well, he's got
- 33:43Speaker 4: the best personnel. that he's had ever since he's been
- 33:48Speaker 4: here at LSU, from top to bottom. Now he's had
- 33:50Speaker 4: great players, of course, but from top to bottom, and
- 33:53Speaker 4: it starts with that front seven, and it starts with
- 33:55Speaker 4: that interior defensive line as well, he's got the most
- 34:01Speaker 4: to work with. So this defense is, we talked about
- 34:06Speaker 4: it before the season, they can be good, hell, they
- 34:11Speaker 4: can be great, but still not be feared. I believe
- 34:15Speaker 4: that the further we get away from those two losses,
- 34:20Speaker 4: I feel like the more it's going to be feared.
- 34:22Speaker 4: I feel like if you just have one loss, a
- 34:25Speaker 4: close one in Ole Miss, but you still find a
- 34:28Speaker 4: way to win that Kentucky game, you're probably still in
- 34:30Speaker 4: that feared category.
- 34:32Speaker 6: I agree.
- 34:33Speaker 4: But with Whit Weeks back there, Whit Weeks next to TJ,
- 34:38Speaker 4: that is a feared defense. Yeah. Because now you got everything.
- 34:44Speaker 4: And that's not saying that anybody hasn't done a great job.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Like he's just, but he's just different. Like he's an
- 34:47Speaker 4: all American caliber player. Right. Plays like his hairs on it.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Like he's, he's just a difference maker at the college level.
- 34:54Speaker 4: And that is no knock to anybody else at all.
- 34:58Speaker 4: It's just given high praise to him. So they look,
- 35:02Speaker 4: I don't know. Yeah. I know the injury and he's
- 35:07Speaker 4: been injured and he's been bitten with injury bug every
- 35:09Speaker 4: single year. And I just don't know if like, Looking forward,
- 35:12Speaker 4: we've given him the comparison of Sean Lee with the Cowboys.
- 35:15Speaker 4: His body just can't keep up with his mentality sometimes.
- 35:18Speaker 4: And I don't know. It's just a series of unfortunate events,
- 35:21Speaker 4: or if it's something that he just has to change
- 35:24Speaker 4: the way he plays. I don't know. I don't know
- 35:26Speaker 4: all those things, the conversations he's had. I don't know
- 35:29Speaker 4: what's going in his brain, but it's certainly been disappointing.
- 35:32Speaker 4: It feels like his career has been probably a lot
- 35:37Speaker 4: of sadness, right? Because that's like the worst thing is
- 35:40Speaker 4: to you're the undisputed leader. You are the guy, like
- 35:44Speaker 4: I said, in the, in the transfer portal that Lane
- 35:47Speaker 4: Kiffin called every single night to show recruits around, show
- 35:51Speaker 4: people that are like, you're the guy. And then to
- 35:55Speaker 4: just continuously deal with these injuries has been frustrating. So,
- 35:58Speaker 4: but I can guarantee you, like he's, nobody's worked harder.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Nobody's kept more positive mindset. And if he can contribute
- 36:05Speaker 4: in any way, just like you said, maybe it's 10,
- 36:07Speaker 4: 15 plays in a game. It's something. And, um, LSU's
- 36:11Speaker 4: better off for it. But they're already pretty damn good.
- 36:16Speaker 6: Yeah, and Devon Keyes is somebody that he's a very
- 36:19Speaker 6: reliable backup. And I think Devon might have had his
- 36:22Speaker 6: best game last week against Auburn. So he's still going
- 36:25Speaker 6: to play. He's going to play a ton regardless of
- 36:27Speaker 6: what Witt's status is for this game. But again, if
- 36:30Speaker 6: you can get Witt out there for some money downs,
- 36:33Speaker 6: just with, and even coming off an injury, just with
- 36:36Speaker 6: his speed and athletic ability and instincts, I think that
- 36:39Speaker 6: would be huge for you. So something to pay attention to.
- 36:42Speaker 6: We saw Trey Des Green come back last week. Look,
- 36:45Speaker 6: Trey Des didn't play the full game. He wasn't out
- 36:47Speaker 6: there as many times as he would have been. But
- 36:50Speaker 6: how good was it to have number seven out there
- 36:53Speaker 6: on offense? And he scored a touchdown. He had five catches.
- 36:55Speaker 6: He had 50 yards. Just having his presence out there,
- 36:59Speaker 6: just having the fact that I might throw it to
- 37:01Speaker 6: him is going to go a very, very long way
- 37:03Speaker 6: for your team. Kind of the same situation, I think,
- 37:05Speaker 6: with weeks. So LSU, if they can get that guy back,
- 37:11Speaker 6: And they are peaking. We've talked about it. He almost
- 37:13Speaker 6: didn't want to have a bye week this week.
- 37:14Speaker 4: You needed one.
- 37:15Speaker 6: You needed one because you banged up a little bit.
- 37:18Speaker 6: But with the way that they're playing, if they get
- 37:19Speaker 6: news like what week's coming back, it's going to be
- 37:24Speaker 6: hard to beat the Tigers.
- 37:27Speaker 4: It's going to be hard to beat the Tigers anyway.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Just a little bit more of the whip. All right.
- 37:32Speaker 4: We will take a break.
- 37:34Speaker 6: We've got more OTB coming back your way when we
- 37:36Speaker 6: jump back here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 37:39Speaker 8: Off the bench.
- 37:40Speaker 4: All right, go to getgordon.com.

- 37:53Speaker 2: Oh.
- 37:53Speaker 9: Yeah, the Wampus Cats?
- 37:55Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.

- 39:00Speaker 1: Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 39:09Speaker 2: She knows what I think about and what I think about.
- 39:16Speaker 2: One love, two mouths.
- 39:24Speaker 3: One love, one house. No shirt, no blouse. Just us,
- 39:27Speaker 3: you find out. Nothing that we.
- 39:30Speaker 8: Don't want to tell you about, no.
- 39:39Speaker 2: And now, so let me hold both your hands in
- 39:46Speaker 2: the holes of my sweater.
- 39:49Speaker 8: And if I may, just take your breath away.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I don't mind if there's not much to say. Sometimes
- 39:53Speaker 3: the silence guides our minds to move to a place
- 39:56Speaker 3: so far away.
- 39:57Speaker 2: The goosebumps start to raise the minute that my left
- 39:59Speaker 2: hand meets your waist. And then I watch your face
- 40:02Speaker 2: with my finger on your tongue because it levitates.
- 40:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:06Speaker 9: All right, welcome back in OTV.
- 40:10Speaker 6: You're live from the Razor King studio. Tay-Tay, you were
- 40:14Speaker 6: talking about something you and Cade were having a conversation
- 40:18Speaker 6: about where Arsenal, who is a major, major, major soccer club, EPL,
- 40:26Speaker 6: you know, top of the table type team, major brand.
- 40:30Speaker 4: So think....
- 40:33Speaker 6: Red Sox, Yankees, you know, Lakers, like that kind.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Of brand, right? Well, they did lose a match in the.
- 40:41Speaker 9: EFL Cup to Fleetwood Town. All right, so Fleetwood Town.
- 40:48Speaker 9: All right, so you've got the EPL, right?
- 40:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:52Speaker 9: Then you've got the championship.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Okay.
- 40:54Speaker 9: Okay, then you have League One.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Still not Fleetwood Town. Oh, wow.
- 40:59Speaker 9: Then you've got League Two, where that's where Fleetwood town is.
- 41:03Speaker 8: So they're like a Juco.
- 41:05Speaker 4: And out of 24 teams in league two right now,
- 41:07Speaker 4: they sit at 18th.
- 41:09Speaker 9: Okay, cool.
- 41:10Speaker 6: So they're like, so it's hard for me to put
- 41:13Speaker 6: that into terms of what that would be like.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Right.
- 41:19Speaker 6: The best I could probably give you is it'd be
- 41:21Speaker 6: like a single a baseball minor league team beating a
- 41:25Speaker 6: full strength major league baseball team.
- 41:27Speaker 8: Being the brewers right now.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Like if a single-A team beat the Brewers at this moment?
- 41:32Speaker 4: Yes.
- 41:33Speaker 6: That's about the equivalent of it. Or an FBS team
- 41:37Speaker 6: playing a Division III school.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:42Speaker 8: And the DIII school beat them.
- 41:44Speaker 4: Or me getting on a bike and beating Todd A. Pagaccia.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I mean, it ain't that far.
- 41:48Speaker 8: No, seriously.
- 41:51Speaker 9: But, yeah.
- 41:52Speaker 4: It ain't that far. That's how far down.
- 41:56Speaker 8: Why were they playing each other?
- 41:57Speaker 9: Because it's like an English cup.
- 42:00Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
- 42:00Speaker 9: Everybody that plays.
- 42:02Speaker 6: English-sanctioned football gets to get into this.
- 42:05Speaker 8: That makes sense.
- 42:06Speaker 4: They actually played it there. Fleetwood hosted the game.
- 42:09Speaker 9: Okay.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:11Speaker 5: If your football or soccer or whatever team has the
- 42:15Speaker 5: name Town in it, I feel like it's a little
- 42:18Speaker 5: hard to take you seriously, especially if it's Fleetwood Town.
- 42:22Speaker 7: Fleetwood, that's a good.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Take, I feel like.
- 42:26Speaker 8: Like, why is town in there? Basically, like, townspeople are
- 42:31Speaker 8: on your team, and that's just. Do people even say
- 42:36Speaker 8: town anymore?
- 42:37Speaker 4: Well, in soccer.
- 42:39Speaker 8: I guess so.
- 42:40Speaker 9: In England.
- 42:41Speaker 4: But we don't respect it.
- 42:42Speaker 7: No.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Uh-oh.
- 42:46Speaker 8: Is there any other teams that have the name town
- 42:48Speaker 8: in them?
- 42:49Speaker 9: Yeah, there's going to be.
- 42:49Speaker 4: I mean, there's, like. Jake, I think he's mad at you.
- 42:52Speaker 9: Like Salford City, there's cities, there's towns.
- 42:55Speaker 8: Well, okay, city I could see. The town just feels
- 42:58Speaker 8: a little too old-timey for me.
- 43:00Speaker 4: There's a ton of towns. And London Town. Heard that before.
- 43:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 4: York City. A lot of cities. Cities, fine. Yeah.
- 43:13Speaker 8: Town?
- 43:13Speaker 4: What is it about town? I don't know. Jake's mad.
- 43:19Speaker 8: He doesn't even care about Fleetwood Town.
- 43:20Speaker 4: Not at all.
- 43:22Speaker 9: Couldn't care less.
- 43:23Speaker 4: That's a disparaging remark by Wander, though. Why?
- 43:26Speaker 8: I'm sorry.
- 43:27Speaker 9: See, my follow is not town.
- 43:28Speaker 4: It's the most popular sport in the world. Just Everton.
- 43:31Speaker 9: Everton FC.
- 43:34Speaker 8: How's Everton doing?
- 43:35Speaker 7: Not bad.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Okay. Evertown.
- 43:37Speaker 7: Not bad. They're 11th out.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Of 20 teams.
- 43:41Speaker 8: I thought a little cough was going to come out
- 43:43Speaker 8: when you did that.
- 43:44Speaker 4: I fought it.
- 43:45Speaker 8: You know where you can watch EPL?
- 43:51Speaker 7: Oh, there you go.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Where can you watch it, Alondra?
- 43:53Speaker 8: You can watch it at Pelican to Mars. Saturdays.
- 43:56Speaker 9: How was the watch party?
- 43:58Speaker 5: So I didn't do the last watch party, the Auburn one,
- 44:00Speaker 5: because of Chris's whole thing.
- 44:03Speaker 8: Oh, yeah. Ruining it. I know.
- 44:04Speaker 5: So Michelle filled in for me, and she said it
- 44:06Speaker 5: went great. So I think, like, even whenever the Kentucky game.
- 44:11Speaker 5: I just thought of something.
- 44:12Speaker 4: It's you.
- 44:13Speaker 8: It's me.
- 44:15Speaker 4: It's you. Oh, my God. As soon as you said
- 44:19Speaker 4: I didn't do it, that's what I thought.
- 44:20Speaker 8: Oh, my God. It's me.
- 44:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Well.
- 44:26Speaker 8: The two times we've lost is when I've been at
- 44:28Speaker 8: Pelican to Mars.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:37Speaker 6: Brutal.
- 44:37Speaker 8: I can't believe it.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Spooky.
- 44:39Speaker 8: Somebody tell Pelican to Mars I got to get out
- 44:40Speaker 8: this deal.
- 44:40Speaker 4: I was about to say, you better find.
- 44:42Speaker 8: Somebody to fill in. For the sake of our football team.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:45Speaker 9: When we go to Tennessee, you better get somebody like Cassie, Jordan. Moose, Tay-Tay, Flynn.
- 44:52Speaker 8: You can take Razor.
- 44:54Speaker 4: I'll be on the road, so I can't do it
- 44:55Speaker 4: for you.
- 44:57Speaker 7: Wow.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 8: Still a great spot.
- 45:01Speaker 7: To go, though.
- 45:02Speaker 9: Yeah, this is a great spot. Laundries can't go.
- 45:03Speaker 4: I know. No more of that.
- 45:05Speaker 7: What if you stood just outside of the property and
- 45:09Speaker 7: saw it through the fence?
- 45:10Speaker 4: I don't want to take that chance.
- 45:11Speaker 9: That's too bad of bad energy there.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 45:17Speaker 8: They're saying if I wear the muumuu, it'll offset it.
- 45:20Speaker 7: My could. Very well could.
- 45:23Speaker 8: How is that still a thing?
- 45:24Speaker 4: Hey, guys.
- 45:24Speaker 7: Question for y'all.
- 45:25Speaker 4: That was like two years ago. At 830, do y'all
- 45:27Speaker 4: want a scary story? Yes. Do y'all want a little
- 45:29Speaker 4: spooky story?
