- 1:03coming up today and I can't wait to introduce you.
- 1:07So I'm just going to go straight into it, guys.
- 1:09Take a look at who's here. I don't think you redhead.
- 1:12I don't even, by the way, the most softly spoken redhead I've
- 1:17ever met in my life. Really tell you, yes, I think
- 1:19I'm just tired. I think I'm just, I think I Once
- 1:22Upon a time wasn't softly spoken and now media trained, you know?
- 1:25You know, I'm going to allow you to introduce yourself simply.
- 1:28Because I can't do that I. Don't think you do that a lot.
- 1:30I think you're always the one that has to have other people
- 1:33introduce themselves. You typically like introduce
- 1:35your guests? Or do you let them introduce
- 1:37themselves? I like just recently, I just
- 1:40like jumping right in and just Incognito boom.
- 1:43Like most of my guests don't even want to hit record and like
- 1:4510 minutes. Then they're like, oh, when are
- 1:46we starting? Like, oh, we started.
- 1:48Well, guess what? We did that minutes ago.
- 1:49Yeah, that's the way you. Know that's the way to go, but.
- 1:52All the big podcasts, that's what they do.
- 1:54They just dive right into it, I think.
- 1:55So, like, if we were just like, you know, in a process of
- 1:58getting to know you, what would you say about yourself now?
- 2:00Can you say hello talk? To the world tours, to our fans,
- 2:04I'm curious to know about not get your background, where are
- 2:07you coming from? How you got started in all of
- 2:09this? You obviously didn't just wake
- 2:10up one morning and say, hey, let me start a podcast.
- 2:12Sure. Lots of things LED up to that.
- 2:14So I'm just curious, like where you come from, where you grew
- 2:16up, where you were, you know, give us a little bit of story.
- 2:19I said what's this button? Is it what happens?
- 2:24That answers a lot of I wasn't. Even sure what I was going to do
- 2:26I'm. Going to be a none of your
- 2:27business, but we're getting. You know, I was just eyeing it
- 2:30down the entire time. That's.
- 2:32Smart. That's smart.
- 2:33Okay, so I am now 29. Why are you young?
- 2:37I I feel old. Wow, I'm young.
- 2:39I did not see that coming. I thought you were old, I.
- 2:41Will be 29 forever. I'm turning 30 soon, but I'm not
- 2:43going to let go of 29. Yeah, you know, but that's when
- 2:46it hits you once you hit. 30 I did it for 30.
- 2:47You're nervous. No, I don't want to age.
- 2:50You don't want to. I still feel like it's.
- 2:53I still remember when I was 19 and I wish I was 19 still.
- 2:55That young, no, I wouldn't want to be 19 anymore.
- 2:58I don't know, that's too young. I feel like I want I'm more
- 3:00developed now and more freedom. I can do what I want for at 19 I
- 3:03was still struggling. I was still like trying to find
- 3:05myself. I'm in my 40's, the 30s was the
- 3:08best. Really.
- 3:09The best decade, right? I agree.
- 3:11Forward to Yeah, 30s are good not to look.
- 3:12Forward to yeah, I'm encroaching on 40 now and I'm not now.
- 3:15I'm nervous but 30s was my best 10 years.
- 3:18I just find that my best get the more like foods I'm trying like.
- 3:22Yeah. Coleslaw becomes a thing.
- 3:25Coleslaw. I love coleslaw.
- 3:26Not Sally Sherman coleslaw anymore.
- 3:28Now it's like the coleslaw from this guy, the Pickles from that
- 3:31guy, that from this guy, right? It's like.
- 3:32Yeah, I saw a great billboard the other day.
- 3:35You guys are business guys. You'd love this.
- 3:36It was an advertisement for Mayo, for mayonnaise.
- 3:39And it was a billboard that said cabbage without Mayo, coleslaw
- 3:44without Mayo is just cabbage. I was like, that's so good.
- 3:47And then and it's just like was an ad for Mayo and like, that's
- 3:50amazing. That that's crazy that Mayo even
- 3:52needs to advertise. Mayo like who?
- 3:53Like what do they advertise ketchup?
- 3:55How do they do ads or? Ketchup, but they're they're
- 3:56like a universal staple, like mayonnaise and and Heinz
- 4:00ketchup. They don't need to and they
- 4:02still do marketing. They still do it.
- 4:03Millions of dollars spent a year advertising for milk.
- 4:06I mean, this is like, you know. Got milk, mustard.
- 4:08Got milk. Has to be one of the best
- 4:09marketing campaigns ever. You know I haven't.
- 4:11Seen it lately though. That's probably that that should
- 4:14be analyzed. That's.
- 4:15Top ten of all time. It's a classic.
- 4:17It's a class. Mayo.
- 4:17You can say happy Cinco de Mayo to people and put put a bottle
- 4:20of Mayo in the sink. OK.
- 4:22So you must be in your 40s. I'll let you.
- 4:27Go first. Exactly.
- 4:28So I yeah, I, I, I started out at a young age.
- 4:33I was in shoe frock way for high school.
- 4:35I mean, I grew up in the five towns.
- 4:36My father owns a newspaper. So media is like in the blood 5
- 4:40towns Jewish Times. Really.
- 4:42Yeah. So, you know, a lot of media, a
- 4:45lot of just, I guess I never thought that that was a, a weird
- 4:49job that he had. And it was always like press,
- 4:52right? So it was always hot stuff
- 4:55happening. I'm like, oh, this is normal.
- 4:57And I don't think it, I don't think it is.
- 4:58I think most parents are like insurance brokers or right or
- 5:01like sell real estate. Or leasing cars.
- 5:04Yeah, leasing cars, but at a young age, I, I think at high
- 5:09school I felt at some point I'm like, I'm wasting time.
- 5:11I was very, I think it was mature for my age and I think
- 5:14maybe I halted at some point in my maturity.
- 5:16So now I'm like stuck, I'm stuck, you know.
- 5:17But I, when I was a member in 1516 in high school, I'm like,
- 5:21there's no way I'm doing the whole high school like that.
- 5:23I'm not doing 4 years of this. Everyone else like running
- 5:25around having a great time. I'm just like, I just want to
- 5:28move on and start a career. And so I, I remember I had a
- 5:33tutor and I remember I called her at the end of 10th grade and
- 5:37I said, how about we finish everything at 11th And I don't
- 5:41do 12th. And I'm the youngest of my
- 5:43family and the youngest of six. My parents are like, they had no
- 5:45idea where I was half the time. They were in Israel, Florida,
- 5:48they were travelling the world. I, I was like my parents, like
- 5:51Bakshan, they're like 72 now. So I'm like really the youngest,
- 5:53youngest Pensacunum, you know, So I'm like, I'm not trying to
- 5:57finish it all 11th grade. And that's what I did.
- 6:00Not a good student, really good tutor.
- 6:02Shout out Missus Katz. Really.
- 6:05You do it? She Yeah, she's like, let's do
- 6:06it. And.
- 6:07And you got. Permission from the school you
- 6:09got. Yeah, school didn't hear E
- 6:10diploma I got no, I got my regions diploma.
- 6:12I got everything Yeah, I took I took like 5 regions.
- 6:15I know you could do that. I took my AC, I took the ACTI
- 6:17took English region, I took Hebrew region, I took I took my
- 6:20science or some. Children.
- 6:22Yeah, high school. No, I, I, I, you know, I'd say
- 6:24high school, like most people should finish high school
- 6:26because you'll have a great time in 12th.
- 6:28Grade Michael, you finish high school.
- 6:29I did not. No, you didn't really.
- 6:31I didn't either. You guys, I.
- 6:32Don't have a? Diploma I don't.
- 6:34Have AGD not. That I was sent to Israel when I
- 6:36was 15 years old. Wow.
- 6:38Spent my teenage years in Israel.
- 6:39That's. Weird.
- 6:40Look at us, man. Look at us.
- 6:41Exactly. That's awesome.
- 6:42What? What should we take away from
- 6:43this? Don't go to high school.
- 6:44Is that no, No, I think we should take away from it as as a
- 6:47parent, if your child has a idea of a unique, a unique way of
- 6:52accomplishing like buy into it. Yeah, they're on different
- 6:56paths. Exactly.
- 6:57There isn't just one conformity. You know you can.
- 6:59You can do different. Things like there there are
- 7:00valedictorians from when I was in high school that literally
- 7:02like I'm not obviously not say their names.
- 7:05I don't remember who they are, but I just don't like they're
- 7:06they're they they peaked right And and like.
- 7:10As a parent decline. Yeah, like, you know, as a
- 7:13parent, like, don't worry if your kids not doing well in high
- 7:16school. Yeah, chances are he'll do well
- 7:17in life. It's true.
- 7:18If you look at the pattern, you can really see like the kids
- 7:21growing up that were somewhat of the nerds, and I put them air
- 7:23quotations, but they're very successful today, you know, and
- 7:26the ones that were very cool, they were very sporty and
- 7:29athletic. They're not doing so hot all the
- 7:31time. It doesn't translate.
- 7:32They're still going to their high school's basketball games,
- 7:34right? They're 38 years old.
- 7:35Right. They're still honing in on that.
- 7:37But yeah, you know, it's not a testament to what's what's to
- 7:39come, you know, But for sure, you never really know.
- 7:41So there are, there's always different paths that people can
- 7:44take and, and the jury's out, you know, We'll see you then.
- 7:46I, yeah, I, I skipped 12th grade.
- 7:49I went to a like a yeshiva for like half the day of a blender
- 7:54of a Weimburger was like a place in the five towns.
- 7:56And I started schooling, I started college.
- 7:58I had this dream of being a sports agent.
- 8:01Like it's what I wanted to do. I, I was, I, I remember watching
- 8:04this, this documentary on ESPN 30 / 30, it's called the Dotted
- 8:08Line. It was following this, this NFL
- 8:10agent. I'm like, I want to do that.
- 8:11And I guess I was like, I'm very headstrong.
- 8:13So I decided like, I want to do that.
- 8:14I'm doing it and I remember I, I went on LinkedIn and I started
- 8:20messaging every single sports agency that was anywhere in the
- 8:24world and say, Hey, I want to intern.
- 8:26I got a couple of opportunities just watching film and trying to
- 8:29just like write stuff about certain players and what not.
- 8:32And and then that that started happening and my whole goal was
- 8:37get a degree because in order to get your MBA players agent
- 8:44certification, you need to have a degree.
- 8:47So I Long story short, I went to college, you know, as any good
- 8:51from Jew. I got my degree in two years
- 8:53somehow, you know, got all the credits, got a bachelor's in who
- 8:59knows what in. Arts, science, I don't know.
- 9:02Bachelor's in putting stickers on a wall.
- 9:04Who knows? You know, like I did that.
- 9:07I, I then I was interning for an agency and then I went to a
- 9:12different one and, and I was getting my feet wet.
- 9:13I was learning the industry, which is a crazy industry.
- 9:15And I, I became a certified MBA agent.
- 9:20I started, yeah. I went to their meetings.
- 9:22I was, I think the youngest one. I was 19 or I was 20, maybe 20.
- 9:26Good. So you you worked for an agency
- 9:27like you got a job? So, so a couple of stops along
- 9:31the way of like doing sort of like medial work.
- 9:33I, I then I worked with this guy from the city who had a sports
- 9:38agency and he, he represented some, you know, mostly overseas
- 9:41guys, guys overseas guys. Julie, I saw my first client
- 9:44with him, guy from he played for Xavier University, Big E What a
- 9:49feeling. Yeah.
- 9:50I remember, I remember driving home one night and I remember it
- 9:54was decision day whether he was going to sign with us.
- 9:56His name was James Farr. He was 6 foot 10270 lbs big guy
- 10:01and I'm like this guy is good. Like MBA needs big guys.
- 10:05So I I was a whole year. By the way, to sign a guy, you
- 10:08need to be with them all year, in their ear at their games,
- 10:12talking to their parents, talking to their friends.
- 10:14That Adam Sandler movie where he like he was a.
- 10:16Oh, yeah, That was a good. That was a good movie.
- 10:20Adam Sandler, it's called. One of his only serious movies.
- 10:23Literally it was uncut. Even then, he's still, you know,
- 10:26you know about this movie. I think I know what you're
- 10:28talking about, HBO. He had to be with him every day
- 10:31of the year. Come on, Steph, come on, we'll
- 10:34find it Something, ball something, I don't know what it.
- 10:36Was anyways. Yeah.
- 10:36So, yeah. So experience to be through.
- 10:38That yeah, yeah, it was it was great.
- 10:40I think you know, and after after that the.
- 10:44Movie. The movie was Hustle.
- 10:46Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good, good, good stuff.
- 10:49But, you know, you know, I was watching Jeremy Maguire, you
- 10:51know, like that's like, oh, that's the coolest thing ever.
- 10:53I was a huge sports guy. I love sports.
- 10:55I told myself I don't want to be that guy in shul on Friday
- 10:57night. That's just like Hawking about
- 10:59sports with no, I I want to be making money from these guys.
- 11:02Like I want to talk about these players, but actually be you
- 11:04want to. Say end of the game you want.
- 11:05Exactly. I want to be in the game and so
- 11:08that's why I pursued it. And I mean, it was great.
- 11:11I think at the peak I, I worked for this law firm that
- 11:14represented athletes as an agent.
- 11:15I was an agent there and the agency had NBA players like we
- 11:20had they, they represented Robert Covington at some point.
- 11:23Nice. Represented a guy Eric Moreland,
- 11:24who played in the Cavaliers, played in the Kings, represented
- 11:28a guy in the on the Wizards. I forgot, I forgot his last
- 11:30name. One of these 3 point shooters.
- 11:33So my role there was was pretty cool.
- 11:36Like I was we were recruiting guys from college and then
- 11:39preparing well, I was like in charge of scheduling all their
- 11:42NBA workouts. So I'm like talking to the
- 11:43Warriors, the Knicks, the Nets, at any given moment I'm
- 11:46answering these teams and trying to like.
- 11:48And then we had a guy, Damian Dotson, who is coming out of
- 11:51Houston and who is our client and he got drafted by the
- 11:54Knicks. And I look at the peak I was at
- 11:55the draft with him and his family and my boss and sitting
- 11:58there and and it was like, it's this thing.
- 12:01It was so cool. I got it was like literally the
- 12:03coolest thing ever. Like I see my boss get a phone
- 12:04call from the Knicks and like the Knicks are on the clock and
- 12:07like, holy cow, like, wow, he's going to the Knicks.
- 12:09I live in New York. This is a dream come true.
- 12:12Like I and he got dropped by the Knicks and me and Damien spent
- 12:16some time together. I was by his games a lot.
- 12:18I drove down to Philly to the Sixers games, pick him up in the
- 12:21airport sometimes. And, you know, I I went to a
- 12:24Warriors Knicks game with Durant, Curry and and Damien got
- 12:27some playing time. It was it was, it was a lot of
- 12:29fun. It was great.
- 12:29It was great. It was great in the street.
- 12:30It's cutthroat. It's cutthroat.
- 12:32Like you'll be down down there in the Garden and you're with
- 12:35your client. And then Leon Rose walks in and
- 12:37it was the time was the president of CAA.
- 12:38He wasn't the president of the Knicks.
- 12:40And like, oh, awesome. Like CAA is going to steal all
- 12:42our clients, you know, because yeah, they're like the biggest.
- 12:46That's Leon Rose. You know, Leon Rose used to
- 12:48represent LeBron before LeBron hired his friend, you know,
- 12:51Chris Ball. So I think at some point in this
- 12:56whole thing, I, I started something called Meaningful
- 12:59minute. I was like, you know, I started
- 13:02editing these small little clips because I didn't have a long
- 13:06attention span. I think I was driving to
- 13:08Brooklyn. I was driving to Bar Park three
- 13:10nights a week. I was taking EMT course, don't
- 13:12know why. What?
- 13:13Yeah. So during this time that you're
- 13:15exploring the sporting world and the sports.
- 13:18World and and and I'm also taking EMT course.
- 13:22Did you want to be in a cello? No, oh, OK, I can't deal with
- 13:25blood and I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
- 13:28I think a friend like said, what are you taking EMT course?
- 13:30And I'm like, all right, no, I, I, I I don't know.
- 13:33It was crazy. I remember because at the end of
- 13:35the course I had to take AI had to do a rotation with nine on
- 13:37one. I had to be in the senior care
- 13:39ambulance. So I'm like, are you kidding me?
- 13:40Wow, I'm I'm in this thing for 12, 12 hours and I was so scary
- 13:44and I lapsed by the way, I passed and it's been 4 years
- 13:47since I didn't refresh and everyone every once in a while
- 13:49I'm like, maybe I should do it again.
- 13:50And I'm like, no, you know. So you actually got your
- 13:52certification? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:53I came up. I'm not paramedic, Not
- 13:56paramedic. And what was happening during
- 14:00those car rides? There wasn't a lot of podcasts
- 14:01then. Five times the bar, park every
- 14:04night, back and forth for three nights a week for five months, a
- 14:07lot of driving. So what am I listening to?
- 14:09I was listening to like shear him and I'm like, OK, this guy
- 14:13spoke for an hour and 20 minutes and he said like 4 great things.
- 14:16No one's going to hear that because he spoke for an hour and
- 14:1920 minutes. So all right, I worked on my
- 14:21laptop once and I'm like, let me just like cut one clip and I cut
- 14:24a clip and then I cut another clip.
- 14:26And then like, I, I start like sending it out to a few people.
- 14:29And, and then Long story short, I was on Instagram live with my
- 14:34brother when Instagram just rolled out this live feature
- 14:37and, and schmoozing and, and someone's like, oh, you guys
- 14:41should do this every night for 5 minutes.
- 14:43Like just say some Torah and we're like, I'm like, who wants
- 14:45to hear us for 5 minutes? But maybe you hear your favorite
- 14:47speakers. And Instagram had like this
- 14:49limit on videos. You can only post like 60
- 14:50seconds. I'm like, let's do 60 seconds.
- 14:52I'll like get you a minute every single day.
- 14:54And someone in the comments were like, yeah, like meaningful in
- 14:56it. And I'm like, yeah.
- 14:58That's where it started. That's where it came from.
- 15:00March 15th, 2017. My brother's living room.
- 15:05That's like 8 years ago. Something like that yeah on on
- 15:08an Instagram live. I then remember I took out my
- 15:10phone. I made a cheesy looking logo on
- 15:12Canva like really ugly, but I'm like, if I don't do it now, it's
- 15:15not going to happen. I start like a Instagram page of
- 15:18WhatsApp group and that that started remember Fast forward a
- 15:22couple weeks at that point I I woke up and I started sending
- 15:25out these clips and like, oh, sign up guys.
- 15:28First it was family friends and it was people I didn't know.
- 15:30Then I remember like and I was like, dude, I was like living in
- 15:32my parents house. I was a kid.
- 15:33I was what is this? You said it's eight years ago.
- 15:36It was 2120. I was home and like my, I my
- 15:41phone one night was buzzing at 5:00 AM four AMI was like, what
- 15:44is going on? Someone died or something.
- 15:46I look pick up my phone and it was like this guy from the
- 15:48England who messaged me and like, at this point I'm like,
- 15:51who England? I just live in Lawrence.
- 15:52No, the world doesn't exist past Lawrence in Brooklyn.
- 15:54You know, guy from England's like, yeah, your your group
- 15:57filled up. So I started another one and
- 15:59that filled up. So I started another one.
- 16:00So now I have like 3 full groups of people who want to receive
- 16:03this video. That's WhatsApp groups, yeah.
- 16:05Oh, that? That's when they had a
- 16:06limitation of two. 100 and 206 so then I'm like OK so then like
- 16:11this thing started like developing Long story short like
- 16:13we were like boom like remember I was by the go to convention a
- 16:18year later and we had like 13,000 subscribers and I was
- 16:20like on there like a good a live thingy and I was like this
- 16:22little kid like yeah he started a WhatsApp thing you know like.
- 16:26And I understand. So all of this really sounds
- 16:28like is happening organically marketing.
- 16:30This. No, it was, it was Ton.
- 16:32Of effort into this just happening and all of a sudden
- 16:35you wake up one day months later you have 13,000 followers it's.
- 16:38Crazy. It's crazy.
- 16:39It was just, it was, it was just spreading.
- 16:41I think that it was almost the first of its kind, like short
- 16:45form Torah content wasn't a thing then.
- 16:48Right. It was a new concept.
- 16:49It didn't. Have it was it was just long.
- 16:51Either watch a full share or you watch sports, right and nothing
- 16:56else. So that's where that's where,
- 16:58you know, that took off and and I would say it started becoming
- 17:04very, very serious. So right now it's just you and
- 17:07your. Brother it it was really me.
- 17:09My brother was working a different full time job.
- 17:11He was just me at that point. So you were the one that was
- 17:13doing most of the. Work.
- 17:13I was doing everything. I was editing the videos, I was
- 17:15running the clones, everything. Everything and.
- 17:18You had the name already. Meaningful minute at that.
- 17:20Point I remember I was driving at one point and I was with my
- 17:22family and someone called me and said hey, can I can I sponsor?
- 17:26Can I like donate like to meaningful minute?
- 17:28I'm like yeah, can I call you back tomorrow?
- 17:31Yeah, is that a thing? I'm like, I should make a bank
- 17:34account, right? He's like, yeah, I'm like, I
- 17:36should probably nonprofit also. Maybe he's like, yeah, I called
- 17:39him an accountant bank account. Boom, 51C3.
- 17:42That's when. It really becomes real.
- 17:45Yeah, when you have to file paperwork with yeah, with your
- 17:48IRS and all that stuff, we get a letter with the IRS like that's
- 17:51the word becomes real. And then they don't teach you
- 17:55that in high school. That's what they should teach
- 17:57you. They 100% teach me geometry.
- 17:59Yeah. Teach me life stuff.
- 18:00Teach. Teach me how to write a proper
- 18:01e-mail. Teach me yeah how to construct
- 18:03open a bank. Account or taxes like that or
- 18:05taxes yeah or taxes you know like that's that's a good thing
- 18:07to know about yeah like. Not at a high level, but at a
- 18:10very basic level. Very basic like no, you should
- 18:12not spend every single dollar that comes in because you don't
- 18:13have every dollar that comes in, you know, like.
- 18:15Yeah, my friends used to make fun of me when I was at Medline.
- 18:19I had a pretty straightforward tax return during that time.
- 18:21It wasn't so complicated. I used to go to H&R.
- 18:24Yeah. You know, they advertise all
- 18:25over the place. So like, even now and my
- 18:27friends, every time an ad comes up.
- 18:29Oh, shit. Yeah, you're one of their
- 18:30customers, You know, by the way, they're they're they're great
- 18:33for people that don't have any. Is this?
- 18:35A paid ad? Is this a paid ad because like.
- 18:37No, no, not at all. Oh wow, we don't.
- 18:38Have any of that yet? I was sent to.
- 18:39You I had wished that they taught us in school.
- 18:41Like OK, when you go to a baseball game, don't sign up for
- 18:44the credit card for the free towel.
- 18:45Like don't do it 25 times. It's not worth.
- 18:48You did that stuff. What I mean, I have probably,
- 18:50like, you know, 45 Yankee towels and 25.
- 18:53Net towels, you're the reason they're still in business.
- 18:57Yeah, I never did that. But what?
- 18:59Happened to that person that made that comment of the name.
- 19:01Did you ever find that? Yeah, yeah.
- 19:02No, I did. Really.
- 19:03And she, she knows she I've mentioned her many times.
- 19:06I think I mentioned her in the Omni article also like I.
- 19:08Did you get anything? Did you send her something?
- 19:09Did she get thank you? Yeah, of course.
- 19:12Big thank you. Big thank you to her.
- 19:13It was funny. We were like throwing out
- 19:15different names, like spiritual this, this is that.
- 19:17And then we were like in Hebrew names that.
- 19:20And she's just not sure, like meaningful in it.
- 19:21It's crazy. Like she was a she's a big part
- 19:23of it. Yeah.
- 19:24She literally just set up this name that now is a household
- 19:27name. It's pretty crazy to think of.
- 19:28It is, yeah. Yeah.
- 19:30But yeah, at some point I was I got married at 23.
- 19:34Meaningful minute was Barsham big, so I was at that.
- 19:37Time before you got married, you were already starting to become
- 19:39known and were you doing the podcast of?
- 19:42That yeah, not yeah, but it was. But there was like the clips, it
- 19:45was familiarity and and like in my life at that point, I was, I
- 19:49owned the sports league in the Five Towns, which was really
- 19:51doing great. And it was a single guy with
- 19:53great money. Like you were the commissioner?
- 19:55Yeah, they owned. Me and a friend started Yeah.
- 19:58OK yeah. Or Ezzy Katz, you know, OK, OK.
- 20:02Shout out to the father-in-law. Is your father-in-law?
- 20:04Yeah. I don't know how you don't know
- 20:06that I. Have no.
- 20:07Idea. How do you not know that?
- 20:09I don't know how how but I know that.
- 20:11I can't believe it. I.
- 20:12Don't know. Did you know that?
- 20:13I did not. But you know, you don't play in
- 20:14the league, you play in the league.
- 20:16But why would he play the game together?
- 20:17Well, unless somebody says something, how would I know?
- 20:19What year are you on? Yeah, he was buying.
- 20:21He was playing. Seeing you, 2 of you interact, I
- 20:23wouldn't know that your father's son-in-law, you could be anybody
- 20:25and you know he's the commissioner of the league.
- 20:26You're talking that's. Funny that.
- 20:28It's very funny. I.
- 20:28Actually just saw Ezzy Cats, by the way, I just saw him
- 20:30yesterday. Yeah, 2 days ago.
- 20:32Sorry. On Sunday I saw him and he was
- 20:34eating dinner. He was there with with his wife
- 20:36and friends at a new. Restaurant.
- 20:38Which restaurant called Mojo? Oh nice.
- 20:40Yeah, it's in Teaneck. Yeah.
- 20:42Oh, it's where Nobos used to be. Well, thanks for inviting me
- 20:44guys. Yeah, so.
- 20:46Well, I miss Nobobo. Are they with are they with any
- 20:48of my brother in law's or sister I?
- 20:49Don't know. I I was being very respectful.
- 20:51I went to my side. I was ever friends, so I didn't
- 20:53wanna, you know, like this. But it's very annoying, like
- 20:55when you go out and like, you know, somebody comes over to you
- 20:58and like you have to get an attention and like.
- 21:00Cover over. You, I don't want to be bothered
- 21:01right now and I don't want to bother you.
- 21:03Don't bother me, you know? Things dumb, anybody?
- 21:05Yeah. Right.
- 21:05Just once you know each other doesn't mean you have to
- 21:07approach to. Be I was on a a date with my
- 21:10wife. This is probably the best thing
- 21:11ever happened. I was on my, I think 5th, 6th
- 21:13date. It was getting it was getting
- 21:14somewhat serious and we're in fireside and someone came over
- 21:19to us and said, are you Nachi Gordon?
- 21:21I said, yeah, He's like, I love the work you do.
- 21:23You changed my life and I'm on a date and I'm like, like, hand
- 21:28this guy 100 bucks. Like, thank you, bro.
- 21:30Yeah. That's very well done, by the
- 21:33way. I know I was like.
- 21:34It looks scripted. It looks too scripted, but it
- 21:37was really cool. You get that a lot.
- 21:39Yeah, and it's nice. It's very nice.
- 21:42People are very nice. I'm sure it can be overwhelming
- 21:44and let's let's does it happen to?
- 21:45You. Does it happen to you like on a
- 21:47daily basis, like if you're going out in the streets, in the
- 21:51supermarket or wherever you're going, like people are stopping
- 21:53you say hey, you're knocking Gordon, can I take a picture?
- 21:56Yeah. What do you think?
- 21:58I think I had to happen to me once, right?
- 22:00That's why he brought it up. She's a.
- 22:02Dream right now, he's listening. How do I deal with this fame?
- 22:06I need you to prepare me. For you should be grateful, I
- 22:08mean. I gotta tell you, it's a little
- 22:10awkward, you know, like I was caught by surprise because,
- 22:12yeah, I don't consider myself to be someone that's well known.
- 22:15Maybe my inner circle, but that's about it.
- 22:17But I went to somebody's vart random place and I was jumping
- 22:20in and out. That's what I stopped me.
- 22:22And he's like, are you or she from the podcast?
- 22:24I said, yeah, so I'm a big fan. I watched all your episodes.
- 22:27Can I take a picture with you? And I'm like, yeah, sure.
- 22:29I guess I didn't know what was happening, you know, But in in a
- 22:34way, it must be nice. It must feel good that people
- 22:36want to be around you and they're, you know, but it must
- 22:38also be very annoying at some, at some.
- 22:40Point. I would say it's.
- 22:41It's more annoying for family, my wife, kids, you know, like
- 22:45that's like, I remember I was in Palisades Mall and and like this
- 22:48whole group of people came over to me and like, I have a
- 22:50three-year old freaking out. You know, I'm always like, you
- 22:53got to go and I'm talking to this people like for 8 minutes
- 22:57and and it's very nice. I I think it's I I will never
- 23:00say anything bad about it. Is it overwhelming?
- 23:03Yeah. Does it create a certain social
- 23:05anxiety for me? Yeah, but that's the me problem.
- 23:08That's not a as. You were saying you don't even
- 23:09like to be part of big groups. I don't.
- 23:11I don't you see? People in this person.
- 23:13I know that I live in the Muncie area.
- 23:16People still think I live in five towns.
- 23:17I don't really go a place A. Private person.
- 23:20Yeah, I know. I I'm very private, you know, I.
- 23:22You don't. You don't just like, share who
- 23:23knows what's going on in your life with the world.
- 23:25You know, me and my wife are like very, you'll never see my
- 23:28wife, my kids on my platform. Anything to the point.
- 23:31Like people like Redmi Shidakum, they don't know I'm married.
- 23:33It was just funny. It's like my wife, like my wife
- 23:36thinks it's hilarious. Sorry, ladies, I have two kids
- 23:41who are, you know, like, but I it it happened it it has started
- 23:47happening. When I was younger, it was like
- 23:48really funny. When I was single, I was like
- 23:50like this is interesting. After the podcast started it, it
- 23:55really got a lot and now it's now it's.
- 23:58When did the podcast start? When did that next phase?
- 24:00So podcast started probably a couple years after meaningful
- 24:03and I'd say 2020. I think like getting a COVID
- 24:05podcast started. I, I, I just felt like, you
- 24:08know, I was listening to a lot of Guy Raz, NPR, how I built
- 24:10this. I'm Joe Rogan.
- 24:12I'm like, podcasts are cool. There's not a there's not really
- 24:14any in the from world. I think there was maybe 1 and
- 24:17I'm like, this is this is cool. I remember I made a few
- 24:19meaningful minute events I've had like what really?
- 24:21Why would Jacobson and Charlie or already?
- 24:23And we filled up a room with 1000 people and I found that
- 24:25people are just like waiting online for 20 minutes, just two
- 24:27words to them. Like how how awesome it be if
- 24:29people could like know more about them, right?
- 24:31Like, why would Jacobson is not necessarily always the person
- 24:34you see on that podium. He also, like I, I interviewed
- 24:37him recently for the second time.
- 24:39He has anxiety. He was pulling his hair out as a
- 24:41kid from his head because he has, you know, and.
- 24:44He's a real person. These are real struggles.
- 24:46That we do exactly. And I, and I saw that because I
- 24:48was working like close to a lot of these rabbis, like I was like
- 24:51ultimately like the biggest marketing tool for them, like
- 24:55getting their classes and their speeches out to 10s of
- 24:58thousands. Win win.
- 24:59Everybody is benefiting from this for.
- 25:01Sure. And and so I had this real
- 25:03desire to like get people to know them more, like completely
- 25:06just remove that gap of like, oh, that guy is so untouchable.
- 25:11No, you know that's. What Trump did on Joe Rogan.
- 25:14Exactly, he went. There and he mingled with the
- 25:16people for. Three hours, he.
- 25:17Hung out with us for three hours.
- 25:19We got to see a whole different side of him.
- 25:21Yeah. And people feel connected to
- 25:22that person. I think that's what Podcast
- 25:24really does. It it tears down.
- 25:25Yeah, it's almost like what someone's doing today.
- 25:28Yeah, it's amazing. I'm.
- 25:29I'm loving this. Is this real not important One
- 25:32of the? Things that I'm thinking about
- 25:33is that a meaningful minute probably takes you hours to put
- 25:37together. I mean, yeah.
- 25:38I would appreciate that like. Tell me about that.
- 25:40I used to make all of them for the first two years I edited and
- 25:44I did every single one of them. And I'll tell you, there are
- 25:46times where it took me 3-4 hours to make one minute because I was
- 25:50like, no, no, no. What is the ROI on a 62nd clip?
- 25:55It can't be 10 seconds. It's got to be 45 plus seconds
- 25:57of fire. The guy is giving over a message
- 26:00that could turn a cat into a lion.
- 26:01You know, it's got to be something that is going to send
- 26:03you for the day. That's like, OK, this is good.
- 26:05And this is before cap cut. This is before.
- 26:07Cap cut. I'm like learning.
- 26:09I think it was iMovie or final cut.
- 26:10I was like, I had a laptop and I just started like that was like
- 26:14the expense of the organization at the time.
- 26:15It was a phone and a laptop, you know, thank God.
- 26:19Now we're, we're over $1,000,000 budget a year.
- 26:22So it's like it will get there, but it's grown in an insane
- 26:25amount and we're, we're in the coolest position ever.
- 26:27What we're able to do. So yeah, it, it took forever.
- 26:31Sometimes I'd it's. That first moment.
- 26:33It's COVID time you're starting. To start the podcast, what?
- 26:36Was your first guest. How do you?
- 26:37Even take care of some. Eight time finer, really.
- 26:40And like it didn't. It didn't get better, didn't get
- 26:42better. The the, the Why did he agree?
- 26:45To do it like you don't know you don't have a name yet at that
- 26:47point. He, you know, like he knew my
- 26:49father. And like there is some.
- 26:51Community familiarity. I don't think this is the funny
- 26:54part I've made events in the white children right Finder had
- 26:56introduced so I had AI had a report with him.
- 26:58We had a relationship. I brought Robert Jacobson to the
- 27:00to the white Jewel and it was very good for the White Jewel
- 27:03and. What's this white shul?
- 27:05What? Do you mean it's a shul?
- 27:06It's called the white shul. It's not even white.
- 27:08I don't get it. How how to get it it's?
- 27:10A really nice shul. I don't know why it's called.
- 27:12Is there? A black shul somewhere down the
- 27:13street, like competition, like a white.
- 27:15A few blocks further down, it's Rachel, like a red Rachel.
- 27:18They have Rachel. I don't know, Rachel I don't,
- 27:20because Rachel used to talk to me, like in a Red House, right?
- 27:23I don't know. White shul.
- 27:24Must have been also in a white shul.
- 27:25Interested. I think the firestands also has
- 27:28AW. W it does have that's on
- 27:30Wedgewood the it's it's the block, but not because of the
- 27:33world of a story, although some of the guys there think it's the
- 27:35story they. Like to think?
- 27:36Yeah, I used to die in there. It's the block away from my
- 27:38house. A good time.
- 27:39It's good people did. The rabbi know you.
- 27:41So he Finder knew me and I think I'm pretty sure he thought he
- 27:44was coming to the studio to record like a minute.
- 27:47He wasn't even prepared for what was coming.
- 27:49And all of a sudden I sit down, we start asking questions about
- 27:52his life and about, and he has a life like he, he has a, he has
- 27:55one child, which they, they, they struggled for years to have
- 27:59that one child. And that child was born for the
- 28:02first hour was a perfect baby. And then something went wrong
- 28:06and that baby turned into now, which is a probably a 1516 year
- 28:09old boy who is, I don't think verbal, non verbal wheelchair,
- 28:13you know, bound special needs child.
- 28:17And that's their only child. That's their only child.
- 28:19And I think they were living in Israel even at the time and they
- 28:22they moved here. And it, it's just quite a story,
- 28:25a rug being so vulnerable talking about his challenges.
- 28:28So. He talked about that.
- 28:29He talked about his experience. Opened up, I think that was like
- 28:31the success of everything that you know, like meaningful people
- 28:34was just like the 1st guest set the framework of like this is a
- 28:37thing where your people are going to be vulnerable and open
- 28:39up and not, not try to. Like you want to inspire?
- 28:42Others. When you're vulnerable, it opens
- 28:44up other people's hearts and they realize, you know, it's,
- 28:47it's gives people hope. It gives people.
- 28:48I think it one of the things he said is like as a rabbi, as a
- 28:51Rav, a big Rav who deals with a lot of the Charlotte's in the
- 28:54Five towns, a lot of the stuff that comes in dealing with a lot
- 28:56of the, you know, marital stuff. And it's just, you know, stuff
- 29:00that come up. I I remember him saying that he
- 29:02cries himself to sleep many nights just based on the on the
- 29:05things he has to deal with. What's going on in the
- 29:07communities? And the thing that people.
- 29:08Yeah. Or talk about.
- 29:09Wow, someone being human, like, that's crazy, right?
- 29:13So I I so that was an amazing episode, that one like probably.
- 29:15Used it again that that episode. I don't know, Steph, how many
- 29:20views were you getting early on? It wasn't from the beginning.
- 29:23It wasn't. It was, I think it was
- 29:24relatively a lot. I mean it was more than zero.
- 29:27It was probably a few 1000, I'd say audio I'm trying to remember
- 29:30audio is getting maybe like a few thousand 34000 an episode
- 29:35YouTube, maybe like 6-7 thousand.
- 29:39It was like, oh wow, this is cool.
- 29:40Like this is really cool and is. That when you started noticing
- 29:45that OK, I'm on to something here.
- 29:47Yeah, I think, I mean we just it just the the goal is to keep
- 29:50doing it and check it out in a year and see if this is good or
- 29:53not. I think that, you know, it kept
- 29:56going and and built something pretty special.
- 30:00Yeah. Very special, yeah.
- 30:02You, you're by far, I want to say the largest podcast, Jewish
- 30:07Orthodox religious podcast in the country.
- 30:11I I don't think there's anybody that that has a bigger platform
- 30:14than you do right now. I don't think so.
- 30:16I mean, you have an amazing reach, God.
- 30:18Will you guys? Your your reach is what's
- 30:21amazing. It's not just One Direction,
- 30:23it's. It's more than I know.
- 30:24And I honestly, that's the thing.
- 30:25I I, I like, I turned to the most and pride myself the most
- 30:29on, you know, like in the beginning stages of meaningful
- 30:31minute, I had gotten calls from different bigger organizations
- 30:35that wanted to kind of like swallow it up, like become one
- 30:38of ours. Yep, you know, come here, we
- 30:39have candy, you know, and I'm just and, and, and something in
- 30:42me is like, that's where we lose it all like.
- 30:46You're talking about larger Jewish organizations like an
- 30:48Aguda type like. Yeah, like the type.
- 30:49Like those type, I'm not naming anybody, but I'm saying yeah,
- 30:52yeah, do a podcast for us and you'll be the host.
- 30:54We'll pay. Yeah, like.
- 30:56Even even before the podcast meaningful minute like do it
- 30:58under. Our you know, we'll fund it.
- 30:59You were probably enticed a little bit.
- 31:01I was like, OK, it's really cool, but also no, you know,
- 31:06like good for you. I I was not yeshivish.
- 31:09It was not modern, probably considered mainstream, but like
- 31:13I, I wanted to cater to the world, to the Jewish world, to
- 31:16everybody, to the modern person, to the Balchuva, to the guy in
- 31:19liquid learning 3 Saddam. I wanted to cater to everybody.
- 31:22And I think that the coolest thing about meaningful people
- 31:24and meaningful men in general is that we cater to everybody.
- 31:28Like we really? You can go into a block in
- 31:32Lakewood and ask them if they know what it is and they will.
- 31:34Yep. And you can go to Teaneck or you
- 31:37can go to Baltimore, or you can go to Bal Harbour.
- 31:39You can go to Israel. I have non Jewish friends that
- 31:42it's impacted. I've spoken to them in the past
- 31:45and the reason is the common denominator is that it's
- 31:48meaningful, right? And meaningful is the language
- 31:50that everyone speaks, right? So it's like, you know,
- 31:52inspiring people want to grow. People have that, you know,
- 31:55feeling inside like doesn't matter where you're coming from,
- 31:57for sure you. Know what the real anomaly is
- 31:59like What? Really kind of change the game
- 32:01is that people are, you know, used to be back in the day, like
- 32:04we were taught from our parents, like something goes wrong, you
- 32:06shove it under the rug, you hide it, you don't let the neighbors
- 32:09know, right? You, you try to keep everything
- 32:11in house right now. I think in our society today,
- 32:14it's become more acceptable. We're not just acceptable.
- 32:17People are very receptive that there are real problems going on
- 32:20in the world. People have real struggles in
- 32:22the world and they're sharing it, opening up.
- 32:25They're actually allowing others in and it's making us all better
- 32:28for it, right? And we're all growing from each
- 32:30other. Well, we always say at prime
- 32:31source, you know, we're, we're, we're not the experts, but
- 32:34together we are the experts. With all the knowledge that we
- 32:37accumulate from everyone we sharing with each other, we
- 32:40become stronger. And the only way and the only
- 32:42way change happens is if it's it's if it's discussed, it's
- 32:46grassroots. I think that like maybe post
- 32:48Holocaust there was just so much going on that it the world, we
- 32:51just, I can't blame them. Like they weren't going to be
- 32:53like, OK, well we survived Auschwitz, now let's talk about
- 32:55Shidokhan. Like it just wasn't right.
- 32:57It was like we're alive, let's live.
- 32:59And they were just, I don't know.
- 33:01It's a great. Point.
- 33:02It is a great point, but you don't.
- 33:03Even think about that like no. For real like.
- 33:05They had bigger problems to deal with.
- 33:06They had a lot bigger fish to fry.
- 33:07Sure. Like dude, like they're they
- 33:09literally just even take it a step further.
- 33:12The kids of Holocaust survivors grew up and my mother is a a
- 33:16she's a daughter of survivors. What do you think they went
- 33:19through? Yeah, it's it's crazy.
- 33:20It's crazy. And and how far are we removed
- 33:23from that? A couple of generations.
- 33:25That's it. Not that far.
- 33:26That's it. It's really not that far.
- 33:27So like how far? Snippets of that reoccur today.
- 33:29We're starting to see a dynamic that existed then that's really
- 33:33reoccurring again today. We're starting to see some of
- 33:35that. Yeah, it's scary.
- 33:37It is scary. And I think that like, God runs
- 33:41the world. But obviously I I hope as a
- 33:43Jewish people we are reacting differently.
- 33:46I think we have a little more chutzpah.
- 33:47I don't know what they had. Back then, a little.
- 33:49More like a little more chutzpah, a little more.
- 33:54We're not going to run and hide. We're not going to hide our
- 33:56Judaism. Yeah, how do you deal with the
- 33:59hate? I'm I'm sure.
- 34:00There's hate, do. You get a lot of hate in the.
- 34:02Beginning, I got a lot of hate. But what's there to hate, even
- 34:04like I was? I'm talking about even people
- 34:05that are hating on Jews. I'm talking about people.
- 34:06That's what you mean? Yeah, I'm talking about
- 34:08everything. All the hate people from within
- 34:09your circle and. I was talking a different kind
- 34:11of hate. But yeah, we can address both
- 34:13After, after, after October 7th, I, I went to the city, I sat
- 34:17down, I made a table, I brought a film crew, also security.
- 34:21And I had a sign that said, how does it feel to be Jewish right
- 34:25now? It is on a February 10th and we
- 34:28had people sit down, a lot of college Columbia students,
- 34:31people who are walking over that were taking their Yamahas out of
- 34:33their jacket pockets and putting it on their head.
- 34:35They were, they took it off and it was, it was, it was like
- 34:38really it went viral. There was a few 100,000 views on
- 34:40YouTube, the YouTube shorts from it like also like millions of
- 34:43views. It was really crazy.
- 34:47But I think that's the first time as a Jew, I felt scared in
- 34:50the city and I have security, armed security, right?
- 34:54I called Richie Taylor to say, Hey, can you send me some, you
- 34:57know, he sent me some MIPT 2. He's like, I got you and he did
- 35:02and for good reason. Free Palestine.
- 35:04You guys are killing baby. Like people yelling at me
- 35:07somewhere in yarmulke in the city.
- 35:09It's a crazy thing. It's a crazy thing.
- 35:11And if someone doesn't go to the city that someone doesn't have
- 35:13to do these things for their job.
- 35:15They they may not know about it and they could play it down like
- 35:17it's not a such a big deal, like no people deal with this.
- 35:20People have taken off their yarmulke.
- 35:21People have hidden their like they hide down and it's it's not
- 35:24OK. It's not OK and.
- 35:27Wow, I was very brave of you that you that you even did that.
- 35:30I'm crazy. That's very brave.
- 35:31My, my, I don't think my, my father is not happy with it.
- 35:34He's like, dude, what are you doing?
- 35:35Like, why you? This is what are you doing?
- 35:37I'm like, I have security. Like this is what?
- 35:40This is what we're gonna do. It's listen, when I was in the
- 35:44sports world, I always were Yamaka and I I could have gone
- 35:46by Michael. I went by Nachi and good luck.
- 35:48Damien Dotson saying the word Nachi, right, right.
- 35:50You know, and and we're Yamaka and and like, this is who I am.
- 35:53You have a questions. It's funny because like remember
- 35:55being after a game in in I think the Wells Fargo Center in in in
- 35:59Philadelphia by Sixers game and Damian's like eating shrimp
- 36:02after the game is like you want Someone Like You really don't
- 36:04get it, dude. You really like they're.
- 36:06Oblivious, they don't. Understand most of the world is
- 36:08you go up in Houston and and some like like what do you know
- 36:11the the. People that we work with like
- 36:13for a long time, and they're not Jews.
- 36:15They're like more Jewish than a lot of the people we know.
- 36:17Like they know a lot more like they're.
- 36:18Very into it. They're very into it.
- 36:19It's true. Yeah, I have.
- 36:20To tell you, I was in the city, by the way, that week, the week
- 36:23after, and I went to a rally and I had an Israeli flag and I was
- 36:27walking to my car on the way back and I was getting yelled at
- 36:30and really like, scary times. I didn't have security.
- 36:33I didn't know Richie at the time.
- 36:34Yeah. And she's the best.
- 36:35I have to tell you something what I did and I, I think it
- 36:38worked. And I I'd like to give a tip to
- 36:40anyone, whoever. Told us in the last podcast.
- 36:42Afraid did I say it, I went live.
- 36:44Yeah, I was very smart. Yeah.
- 36:45What did you do? You went.
- 36:45On my phone and I said we're live right now, nobody wanted to
- 36:49mess with it really. I.
- 36:50Always thought you were going to say just just act even crazy
- 36:53like they go crazy, like show them a new level of crazy.
- 36:56No, listen, by the way, I think it's worse now than it was then.
- 37:01I mean, I think it's worse now. We're in December a year plus
- 37:04later. It's worse now.
- 37:06The climate it's spread in in the city is worse now.
- 37:09If you, I mean, if you go to with an Israeli flag now to
- 37:11Manhattan, I think you be unfortunate a lot far worse than
- 37:15it was October 10th. But you.
- 37:17Understand why? Because people are now even more
- 37:20upset that Israel is still in this war and there's still no
- 37:25ceasefire, so they're getting more agitated about it.
- 37:27So now there are more people on that bandwagon.
- 37:29I think it's, I think it's I, I don't think it's the reason.
- 37:31I think it's, it's, it's Jew hatred.
- 37:33It's, it's in the mother's milk for some of these people.
- 37:35It's not, it's no, it's just coming out.
- 37:37They don't know. They don't know they're.
- 37:39About to get more? They don't.
- 37:40Know you think these people know what's going on in the news.
- 37:43If you ask them to point out where Israel is on the map,
- 37:45they'd have no idea, right? This is not Israel.
- 37:48They're so invested in this. Israel.
- 37:49These are these are just tropes, anti-Semitic stuff that have
- 37:52been passed down for generation. Generation this is this is this.
- 37:55Is this is? Yeah.
- 37:57I have an employee who lives in Amsterdam, Naomi.
- 37:59She's, she's a really big part of our team.
- 38:02A few weeks ago, what happened there?
- 38:04Her and her husband staying indoors because dude, like
- 38:07they're lynching people. Wow.
- 38:08Why should this? Like this is in Europe in 2024.
- 38:11What what is going on here? You know, so use my platform to
- 38:15speak about those things that I also love to do, you know, speak
- 38:19to soldiers, speak to people who are involved in this and to sort
- 38:22of like show the truth, show who the Jewish people really are.
- 38:26Yeah. The other hate.
- 38:27And that's, that's the hate that we all deal with.
- 38:29The other hate is, is sort of, I think I got very early on which,
- 38:34which is like, who do you think you are, your 20 year old kid?
- 38:38You're not. You're not Dastera, right?
- 38:40You're not a rough, you don't have a beard.
- 38:43You guys hear that? You know all.
- 38:44Those people, probably those people after they went with,
- 38:47Gee, they're coming to us now, probably.
- 38:48But like I got that from a young age and and it was it was a lot
- 38:54to deal with. I remember, I mean, I said this
- 38:56over I I was at AI got hired by pay stock hotel last year and I
- 38:58said this over on on a panel and it was a Chava.
- 39:02So I don't think I ever said this on a podcast.
- 39:03I don't think maybe I don't know, but I was in camp Monk for
- 39:0815 summers. I was head waiter there.
- 39:09I literally like got engaged. I like got engaged in August.
- 39:12I was in Monk that summer. I was dating my wife from camp.
- 39:14You know, I was like very time. Yeah.
- 39:16I was like, I love camp. It was it was amazing.
- 39:17I was head waiter. I was.
- 39:18I was camp. Monk has a great reputation.
- 39:20I know they hold on to it, but it was a great place and
- 39:25meaningful. When I started I it was it was
- 39:27functioning from there. I had a computer up in one of
- 39:29the buildings. Sorry Monk, I don't know if you
- 39:30knew that but I had bought my own Wi-Fi and I got a letter to
- 39:38Camp Monk from Shinershule was the address which I learnt
- 39:43later. Which obviously was meaningless
- 39:45because Louis Shiner did not send me this letter.
- 39:47Right Louis? Right It wasn't him, it was it
- 39:50was someone using it as a front because this letter was 4 pages.
- 39:54Remember going to the office because I never got a letter.
- 39:56I thought, hey mommy, you wrote me a letter and Nope, shouldn't.
- 39:59It was had written this letter. It was typed, it was typed OK,
- 40:02typed. It was 4 pages and I, if I could
- 40:04tell you, if you ever watch a roast, this was 10 times worse
- 40:08than any roast. Oh my God, it was and I know
- 40:11this person, this person know me, but it was along the lines
- 40:12of like, who do you think you are?
- 40:14You're never going to get married.
- 40:16You're you're something bad is going to happen for you to wake
- 40:19up to think that you have a, you have a voice in this Jewish
- 40:21world. You're not dastura.
- 40:23You're you're pompous. Like I'm just like reading this
- 40:27letter and I was, I was white as a ghost and Missus monk was in
- 40:32the office. She's like, what, what happened?
- 40:33I'm like, look at this. I had she handed her the papers
- 40:37and she read it and she's like, can you give me a bracha?
- 40:42I'm like, because you just got ripped to pieces and you're
- 40:46embarrassed. Now give me a bracha.
- 40:48Give me a bracha for my like I said, give my my daughter, she
- 40:51got married. So your daughter, she got
- 40:52married, daughter got married the next day.
- 40:54No kidding. Her daughter got married.
- 40:56Her daughter got married. Seven a month.
- 40:58But I would have been. I know, I know.
- 41:00But I was. I was like, holy cow, I remember
- 41:05showing it to, I sent it to my Rebbe and he's like, welcome to
- 41:09the big leagues. Exactly.
- 41:10Now you know that, you know you made it.
- 41:11Now you know you're doing, you have a target on your back.
- 41:13Now you know you're doing something right.
- 41:14I hope you have that on your wall somewhere.
- 41:15By the I, I, you know, I had it in my knapsack.
- 41:18You know, like everyone, like you get married, you go in laws.
- 41:20This I yeah, that one knapsack. So I had it in my knapsack.
- 41:23I wonder if it's still there. I had it.
- 41:24I carried it with me everywhere, which is probably not healthy,
- 41:26but I carried it with me everywhere and and I had this
- 41:32feeling of like, oh man, I'm going to prove you wrong.
- 41:36You have no idea who you messed with.
- 41:37You have no idea the fire you lit.
- 41:39And as you know, I had a great Rebeam in life, mostly 10%.
- 41:46No, I had a great rebeam. But high school the way it is in
- 41:49school in general, it's not it's not made for the kids outside
- 41:54the box a little bit. It's just any system.
- 41:57A system is a system. And if you fit into you have 30
- 42:00kids in a class with I would say a lot of the teachers are Bam
- 42:03did not get me. They're like, cool, what are you
- 42:05doing? You know, and it could be I
- 42:09heard heard some things along the way that were very like,
- 42:14dude, if you don't do this, that's this, what are you going
- 42:16to? You're not going to be much and.
- 42:21Well, I'm happy that you didn't hold a lie because this wouldn't
- 42:25have all developed. Right.
- 42:26Yeah, a little fire. Outcome is phenomenal.
- 42:28Yeah, a little fire. I I'd say a little fire.
- 42:30I wasn't. I when I walked him into the
- 42:31office today, I introduced him to one of our employees here,
- 42:36our director of operations, and she follows his his podcast
- 42:39religiously. She watched the episode.
- 42:41You should have seen her eyes light up when he went into the
- 42:42room. Like, why is like not because
- 42:45like, you know, he's a big sports player.
- 42:46He knows how to dunk a basketball because he inspires
- 42:49her. He actually makes a difference
- 42:51in her life that he makes her feel better about herself.
- 42:54And the things that he puts out there, the content that he puts
- 42:56out there gives her hope. It gives her meaning, right.
- 42:59And you're doing this for thousands, hundreds of thousands
- 43:01of people potentially that you're doing this for.
- 43:03It's a huge responsibility, but I think you're doing it well.
- 43:05You should be very, very proud of yourself.
- 43:08And I will say this, Michael, I, I, we have a daunting task ahead
- 43:11of we are not inspirational people.
- 43:14Like, you know, like people would ask us, who do you think
- 43:16you are? You're you're a rabbi.
- 43:17Why do you think you have a voice?
- 43:19We probably don't have that kind of voice.
- 43:21Like I see our podcast being somewhat more of entertainment
- 43:23more than anything, you know, and, and weigh in on current
- 43:26events. So.
- 43:27Kosher Entertainment. Exactly right.
- 43:29We don't want to get, you know, which is important.
- 43:31Yeah, not dirty. We don't want.
- 43:32To be PG13PG13. I don't, I don't think that I
- 43:35think that I think has changed. Over the years, movies or TV
- 43:37shows under your podcast. Make a reference, but I wouldn't
- 43:40like talk about it. Right.
- 43:40We would talk about that here. We would talk about an actor in
- 43:43Hollywood, something that's going.
- 43:43On What's your favorite movie? That's a that's a tough
- 43:46question. You know.
- 43:47Favorite movie of all time? Yeah.
- 43:49That's a war, dogs. By the way, if you if you Google
- 43:52fav top 10 movies of all time, pretty much every single like
- 43:56you know, reputable source will give you the same movie list.
- 44:00So I'm gonna go with one of those like to be safe.
- 44:02Like, you know, Shawshank Redemption.
- 44:03Bingo, that was my. But that's a very That's the.
- 44:05Craziest thing, they show that on a bus.
- 44:08I don't know. I'm gonna say who, but like, we
- 44:09were in camp one summer and we went to Niagara and like, I
- 44:12think that this one counselor wanted to be rebellious and
- 44:14instead of Agent Ms., he put in Shawshank Redemption.
- 44:16Nice. He was a celebrity and we were
- 44:17all like, he's a hero. What, what is this is that is
- 44:21that Morgan Freeman? Like we're in camp, you know?
- 44:24You know when you're in camp, you're in a bubble like nothing
- 44:26exists outside of me. No, I'm, I'm, I'm a little bit
- 44:29older than you, but I went, I went to camp Monk and I.
- 44:30Remember. Oh, you did.
- 44:31Yeah, and I remember first rain day I was ever in camp, they
- 44:35showed Star Wars. No way.
- 44:36Yeah, really. That's come a long way from
- 44:39there, I think. The first one was Shawshank that
- 44:42broke open. That's why, that's why What's.
- 44:45Your favorite movie? I said.
- 44:47A very safe one. I'm going to change my answer.
- 44:49I want to change it to The Godfather.
- 44:51Godfather 1-2 not 3, not. Three, I do want to teach you
- 44:54guys something that I've learnt recently.
- 44:55When anyone asks me what's your favorite of anything, I respond.
- 44:59In what scenario? Where am I?
- 45:01I I respond generally today like what's my favorite?
- 45:03Yeah, OK. Yeah, like I have a different
- 45:05favorite exactly every. Season My favorite restaurant
- 45:07when I'm You know, going out for dinner in Israel is one thing,
- 45:11you know when I'm in. You're both overcomplicating
- 45:13this. Reservoir Dogs because that's my
- 45:17all time favorite. But one thing is you're you're I
- 45:20never never watch you never watch it, never watch Godfather,
- 45:23never watch Reservoir Dogs. I don't think I'm a big like I'm
- 45:27a I'm a media junkie, right? I love media.
- 45:28I love film, right. I love like the I love cinema,
- 45:32like what they're what you're able to accomplish with with
- 45:35movies. And I I overthink it.
- 45:37Like I'm not like, oh, oh, Transformers, Aww, sci-fi.
- 45:41I couldn't care less about those things.
- 45:44I think you show me stuff like Defiance about the Belsky
- 45:49brothers. Great movie, phenomenal great
- 45:51movie about these these brothers who.
- 45:53Three brothers who. Literally saved Jewish lives
- 45:55during the war. Yeah.
- 45:56Daniel Craig, I think, yeah, like he was excellent.
- 45:58Surprise, surprise. You like meaningful movies?
- 46:00Yeah. I know I get.
- 46:02Yeah, you know, you know, I like.
- 46:03What's the most meaningful movie that you can that you you have
- 46:06seen that people have to experience something like
- 46:09Oscar's Like if you have a kid, I'll see if you.
- 46:11Have a kid? Your kid needs to watch.
- 46:14Wonder, wonder, wonder. Jacob Jacob Tremblay.
- 46:18The kid who has kid has a disease.
- 46:21His face is all. What's it called?
- 46:22He has a disease. I don't.
- 46:23Remember the name Julia Roberts in that movie?
- 46:25Julia Roberts in the movie. But this kid, Jacob Tremblay,
- 46:27he's probably he's probably 5 years old, six years old.
- 46:29He's an he's an actor at that time.
- 46:30But it's about this kid who has some facial deformity and he
- 46:34would wear like an astronauts mask 'cause he was about to
- 46:37bully him. It is a must watch for any kid,
- 46:40parents with kids like it's it's, you know, a movie that
- 46:44will make me think it's thought provoking and and like those
- 46:48things are those things are it. It's a different.
- 46:51To me, my 10 year old son I should watch it with.
- 46:52Oh yeah, like come. On they can understand it
- 46:54already like. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:55It just brings home the message about like, people have
- 46:57differences, right? And and that's fine.
- 47:00It's everyone has differences every some, some you see, some
- 47:02you don't see, right, man. It's a line in that movie from
- 47:05Julia Roberts, man. And then he's not, he's not
- 47:09going to Jamie's on lightspeed stands on how he dives in
- 47:13baseball. That's what he's.
- 47:14Doing I'm good, I'm not that good.
- 47:16We'll get there. We'll Yeah, Julie.
- 47:17Barberts is Hollywood royalty. I mean, she's.
- 47:20Is she Jewish? She may as well be, May as well
- 47:23be. She may as well be, but probably
- 47:27not. She looks.
- 47:27Like I want to make those movies like like Next state next.
- 47:30Is that is that on the? Next phase meaningful minute is
- 47:33like production, big production. Like we got to be doing better
- 47:38for Claudia Sarol Like what are we?
- 47:40What are we creating? You know, like.
- 47:41Yeah, we were a part of production where we helped fund
- 47:44it, the Mashiach movie with Beryl Solomon.
- 47:46And I have to tell you that his feeling that he had just making
- 47:50that movie, I understand what you're saying, but.
- 47:51That movie was more of like a documentary.
- 47:53Right. No, I got it.
- 47:55But it was a productive talking about like, are you talking
- 47:56about making into like a scripted movie or like a
- 47:59documentary? What I'm saying is, is I think
- 48:00something that we don't understand or realize so much is
- 48:03if you ever watch a movie and someone gets on their knees at
- 48:06the side of their bed and they're praying in in
- 48:08Christianity, that is funded by the church and they're using
- 48:14cinema as a way to get into the homes of millions of people.
- 48:17Yeah, right. And we have not mastered
- 48:19subliminal messaging. And we need to.
- 48:22We need to. We're getting into a little bit
- 48:23on social media. We're getting a lot Should be
- 48:26should be broadcasted to the world subliminally to every
- 48:29single person in the world. It's a great point.
- 48:31Actually like dude like the only people that are like shovement
- 48:34are in Chabad. Like if they by mistake are you
- 48:36Jewish? Are you're not well shovement in
- 48:38Noah? Right.
- 48:39They made a movie about Novak, I think a couple years ago, did
- 48:41they not? Who's the guy from Gladiator?
- 48:44Russell Crowe. Yeah.
- 48:46Russell Crowe was played. Nah.
- 48:47And it was like it was. Like a really.
- 48:49It's like Kira. Most of it, yeah.
- 48:50Nothing mentioned, no Torah. Right, But like, no, we have so
- 48:53like we're we're all from Jews, like we have the greatest gift
- 48:55in the world. We were born into this.
- 48:57We have an amazing, amazing thing to Torah and we're just
- 49:01like this with it like it's ours.
- 49:03But like where my brain goes a lot and a lot of meetings I have
- 49:06with my donors and I have with my with people who fund our
- 49:09operation is like, so there's that Jew that lives in Oklahoma
- 49:12that doesn't really know much about his Judaism besides for
- 49:16the fact that he saw his grandmother like candles once on
- 49:19a Shabbos and that's it. And he'll he may never see that
- 49:22again. And whose fault is that?
- 49:25It's our fault. So how would you change that
- 49:27like? I'd make it known and make it
- 49:28seen in the world I would create.
- 49:30Films. What's a step?
- 49:32One step. Investing millions of dollars
- 49:35into Jewish films, OK, create like that's that's what that's
- 49:37the step like are we are is there less money in our circles
- 49:42than they're they're in a Christian world.
- 49:44Well, we just found out last week, yesterday actually, that
- 49:48the the church apparently is like the second largest real
- 49:51estate owner in the world, OK. We have reference.
- 49:53Do they have that money? No, I I get.
- 49:56That evens it out. Yeah, they have they have a lot
- 49:59of resources. They have a lot of money.
- 50:00I'm. Not saying we do what they're
- 50:01doing. We don't have that kind of
- 50:02money. Let's do 5% of what they're
- 50:03doing. Something like you, you're
- 50:04watching Super Bowl and there's five commercials about Jesus,
- 50:08but he gets us.org. Right and right Super Bowl.
- 50:11They have like 3. Commercials.
- 50:12Why? Why isn't there a commercial
- 50:14with a mother lighting Shabbos candles and scan the QR code?
- 50:18Know more about your Judaism that every single Jew in the
- 50:20world does this. 10 million people watching this right now
- 50:22that they can. Oh, you know what?
- 50:24I think I'm Jewish. I'm going to scan this code.
- 50:27Why do we think? He's small, he's not growing,
- 50:29he's not really. Getting I'm getting chills.
- 50:31Thank you I. Almost felt we're missing an
- 50:33opportunity to feel like at the time that we.
- 50:35We have you know, there's a there's a vart that I every pace
- 50:38like I say, my father said it to me.
- 50:40We're we're Kabad like we have Kabadikas.
- 50:42My father grew up in Crown Heights.
- 50:43His my great grandfather was a Gabi 770.
- 50:45We're Gedge Lobavez go back to Russia and and my father said by
- 50:51the Seder. He said that the rabbit says why
- 50:54do we take the we crack the matzo right and we hide the
- 50:57larger half and when the seder isn't over until.
- 51:01We find it. Find the Arthur Coleman and the
- 51:03rabbit says that that larger half, that larger half
- 51:05represents majority of cholesterol.
- 51:07Tonight, seder night, they are not keeping a seder.
- 51:10They don't even know tonight's a seder.
- 51:11They're not keeping any mitzvos. And our job here is not over
- 51:15until we find them. We got to find them.
- 51:17We got to find them. What are we doing to find them?
- 51:19It's going to be hard to go on our feet and every and and
- 51:22people are doing it. There are curve organizations,
- 51:24but we have been given the gift of social media and people make
- 51:27the mistake thinking that God created all these platforms for
- 51:31Joe Rogan and Elon Musk to have fun with.
- 51:34Who says it's not created for us to reach all these views in the
- 51:35world doing this? Who who's to say like we we
- 51:39literally at meaningful minute, we were able to post videos and
- 51:42get millions of views on social media.
- 51:45Who's seen that? Do I know that there's not a Jew
- 51:48we get messages all the time with people who are not so
- 51:50connected with the Judaism, but they have a spark now we we need
- 51:53to double down on those efforts like wow, we need to really
- 51:57double down on those efforts. I'm.
- 51:58Just thinking about that letter. That's so profound.
- 52:00Sorry, I'm like, look at look at these ideas that you have you,
- 52:03you are just getting started baby.
- 52:05I'm like. Who's to say that would happen
- 52:06without that letter? You know it's important.
- 52:08You know what? Look in the camera and tell that
- 52:09person that wrote that letter what you think.
- 52:12Give them a. Response.
- 52:13What would you say to them? Honestly, I would say that I am
- 52:16sorry that you were in so much pain that you had to write that
- 52:19letter. That's really what I would say.
- 52:21I mean good. For you, yeah, 'cause really,
- 52:23did you know what he just said? He's good for you.
- 52:25He's he, he pities him that that person must have been better
- 52:28inside that he had to write a letter like that.
- 52:31And that's where it always comes with the hey calm that's being
- 52:33fueled by people that are having a hard time, that you're being
- 52:35successful and that you're doing well.
- 52:37And it doesn't. It doesn't sit well with them
- 52:39and they don't have to handle it can.
- 52:40You imagine to write a letter like that and hit send to to to
- 52:43type it and and put in the mail link, lick that envelope yes and
- 52:47go to a mail. I don't know how to send a
- 52:48letter on it. Oh yeah.
- 52:49You spent $0.25 on me, you know, but like, thanks for the
- 52:52donation, but like. I love what you said, the the
- 52:55idea of saying to the other person is the same thing
- 52:58everyone should say when someone gets to you.
- 53:00I'm sorry for you. Yeah, I'm good.
- 53:02I mean, they must be going through so much pain or to do
- 53:04such a thing doesn't make otherwise.
- 53:06Makes no sense, right? Are you, are you very driven
- 53:11mostly by the 'cause it sounds like you're really committed to
- 53:13this and you really generally care, but there is money to be
- 53:16made. Like, did you ever reach any
- 53:17point? What was the first point rather
- 53:20that you reached and you realized, oh, we can start
- 53:21making money from this. We can actually monetize.
- 53:24We can get some. Capital into the business I went
- 53:26to my first meeting ever with a donor.
- 53:29His name is Moshe Majeski, good friend by the way, Moshe group.
- 53:33And I remember I went to his house as a young, I don't think
- 53:36I was married. Maybe I was I was married and I
- 53:38want to basically make a meaning from an app because I felt like
- 53:42this is great. We're getting 10s of thousands
- 53:44of followers on every single platform.
- 53:46But that's just amazing for them because they're getting all
- 53:48their data and we're not getting anything from it besides for
- 53:50we're able to reach our content to them.
- 53:51Like great. We have 300,000 followers on
- 53:53Instagram now, which is amazing, but it's even better for
- 53:57Facebook because they get all that data, right?
- 53:59So now we have our mobile app that has 45,000 users and we
- 54:02have that data. So we have that.
- 54:04We have that relationship with those users.
- 54:06So I went to Moshe, I went to his house and I never fundraise
- 54:10the day in my life. Like, not even like high
- 54:12Lifeline, like everyone who you know, never never never.
- 54:15You self funded everything all along the way until.
- 54:17This point, it was very new. I mean, there was, I'll tell
- 54:19you, there was a lot of small money stuff and we still have
- 54:23that, which is the most amazing thing we have.
- 54:24We're 8000 donors that have given to meaningful minute 8000
- 54:28people $50 a $100 that have given grassroots.
- 54:31That's like the thing I'm proud of the most that I don't, I
- 54:33don't, I'm not like make sure, but there's no like three people
- 54:35that say, hey, listen, we're funding you, right?
- 54:38No, the people, it's like a politician.
- 54:39You need to get a certain amount of donations from people, right,
- 54:42in order to continue your camp. That's the thing I'm proud of
- 54:44the most. The person who's amazing doesn't
- 54:46make a lot of money, but they're like, this is important to me.
- 54:48I want to see it continue. I want to.
- 54:49See $10 Eighteen dollars. Exactly.
- 54:51I'm curious what happened by Moshe.
- 54:52So I went to Moshe and I went to his office and if you know him,
- 54:56he's just like in the middle of a million different things.
- 54:58And I said to him, I introduced myself.
- 55:01I told him what I'm trying to do.
- 55:02He loved it and he's, I said, I think I said I need $50,000 and
- 55:08I think he said back to me, so you need 75.
- 55:10I'm like, OK, lesson #1 thank you.
- 55:14Love you, Moshe. Yeah.
- 55:15And he's the, he's the most amazing guy in the world.
- 55:18I I was sitting in his office and he called his wife in Riff
- 55:24Riff, come here, Riff. We're going to support that.
- 55:27This kids doing. We're we're going to, we're
- 55:29going to give and, and I'm like, what is going on here?
- 55:31Did he say yes? I don't even know if he said
- 55:33yes. I have no idea what's happening.
- 55:34It's my first donor meeting ever and I got a e-mail.
- 55:37He's on his phone. I'm like, I got an e-mail and it
- 55:39was from our credit card thing that Moshe Majeski $12,000
- 55:43donation on the spot. I was like, he's like, more of
- 55:47that's coming now. That was our meeting.
- 55:49I was like. You're kidding.
- 55:51What just happened? You got spoiled.
- 55:53You think every meeting goes like this by?
- 55:54The way I Hashem, I, I told Hashem like I'm out of my depth.
- 55:59I am not, I'm not a trained fundraiser.
- 56:01Like I'm no Ellie Bear. Like I don't know how to just
- 56:04walk into a meeting and say, yeah, so we need $12 million,
- 56:06you know, like I'm not, that's not my thing.
- 56:08But I have a lot of passion and I and I and I think I'm good at
- 56:11what I do and I know what I need to do.
- 56:13Like I, I have the, the blueprint from God, obviously.
- 56:18And I told her Shem to surround me with the right people.
- 56:21Can you imagine my first meeting?
- 56:21First of all, it didn't mean that's even it.
- 56:24I got the Moshe because Jesse Eisenberger, Joe Eisenberger, we
- 56:28made a meeting from the book before the podcast, even a book
- 56:30from arts girl. Right.
- 56:31Good. All his lot of it's thank you to
- 56:33him. It's really best, Sir, about
- 56:34just short messages, 200 pages of short messages and he's a
- 56:37sponsor for the book. And Jesse Eisenberger said,
- 56:39yeah, I'll do it. And I'm like, who else can I get
- 56:41involved? He's like, you should have a
- 56:43motion on my deskie. And he set up the meeting with
- 56:44me a Moshe. So it's like, you know, meet the
- 56:47connected media and, and, and Musha has set me up with other
- 56:49people. So it's like Hashem really
- 56:51surround me with the right people.
- 56:52You know how they say everybody is?
- 56:54Every Jewish person you know is 2 calls away from Donald Trump.
- 56:56It's amazing. It really is, my guy.
- 56:58By the way, on that on that note.
- 56:59Ever need Donald Trump? I'm calling Musha.
- 57:01He's that. On that note, I don't know if I
- 57:04can say this. We'll decide later if we should
- 57:06edit it. I get.
- 57:09I get a. Do you just press the mute
- 57:11button? I get a, a message from Moshe,
- 57:15like a video of Ivanka. Moshe's very close to the Jared
- 57:18and Ivanka and he's close to Trump.
- 57:21And he's like post this, post this on social media and and
- 57:24make sure it gets used. I'm like, OK, I can't make sure
- 57:26it gets used, but it's a good video.
- 57:27Well, it was Ivanka talking about lash and hara and we
- 57:29posted it and it's at at this point it's got over 2 million
- 57:33views on our Instagram and YouTube shorts.
- 57:36It was emotion told me to post it.
- 57:38And I'm like, I'm on the phone with Moshe.
- 57:40He's like, let's go. I need 5 million.
- 57:42I'm like, and then all of a sudden I see Amari Stoudemire
- 57:45shared it, Ivanka reposted it for a meaningful minute, and
- 57:49Daily Mail wrote an article about it.
- 57:51I'm like, am I being used by the Illuminati right now?
- 57:54Like, what is going on? I'm like, Moshe, did someone did
- 57:58this come from the president? Did someone tell you to do this?
- 58:01Because like, I feel like it was it.
- 58:02Could very well be. And he's like, don't ask
- 58:04questions, you know, don't ask questions, just do.
- 58:06Anyways, I wake up this morning. I posted my stats today.
- 58:10Ivanka Trump now follows meaningful winner on Instagram,
- 58:12and I had to say out loud a few times, the daughter of the
- 58:15President of the United States. Follows.
- 58:17She's not just the daughter of the president, she's herself.
- 58:19I know there's a lot of influence she's a powerful
- 58:21person on. Instagram, I'm like, let me say
- 58:24this like whoa, that's. Crazy.
- 58:26That is crazy. That's like.
- 58:27Good for you. That's a big deal.
- 58:29It's a huge deal. I'm like, I'm like a hard.
- 58:31It's like hard to register. So you could see who actually
- 58:34follows you like you were able. To see, I went to her page and
- 58:37said, do you want to follow her back?
- 58:39I'm like, OK, I don't follow a woman.
- 58:43So no, no, I'm like. She she followed you like, you
- 58:46know, in a very discreet way. She didn't, like, call you to
- 58:49tell, hey, I'm going to. She just followed because she
- 58:51thought she wants to follow you. Yeah, really cool.
- 58:52This is just totally natural. That's what this was.
- 58:55Really cool. It's really cool.
- 58:56It's it's like. And again, this is a further
- 58:58testament to what you're doing. You're doing something right.
- 59:01Yeah, listen, Sham is running the it's, it's crazy.
- 59:03It's like this whole script is just nuts.
- 59:05If you think about it, the fact that every, every everything has
- 59:08happened like and and just to pick up chronologically, like
- 59:12the podcast started taking off, right?
- 59:13Things started blowing up like big time, bigger guest, bigger
- 59:17names. Who's your biggest guest?
- 59:18Sophie, in which there was Ben Shapiro was big.
- 59:20Ben Shapiro was a pretty big guest.
- 59:23Amari Sodomyo was pretty big and I think I enjoyed Ben Shapiro.
- 59:26Like it was really, really interesting.
- 59:31It just, you know, just to get us to present day, we started
- 59:35another podcast recently, stories of Hope with Spark
- 59:37Gretko. She's under the network.
- 59:38She's amazing. We've.
- 59:39Been fans of her. Love her.
- 59:40She's awesome. We were so happy that you guys.
- 59:43Yeah. Partnership.
- 59:44By the way, we were also happy that it didn't work out with us
- 59:46because then she wouldn't be doing, She wouldn't be working
- 59:48for her, by the way. She could have been working for
- 59:50us. And then this was like what she
- 59:52was meant to do. Yeah.
- 59:53Like she was born. She's doing it.
- 59:54From the world, I tell you, the messages we got, I'm like blown
- 59:58away. Yeah, someone messaged 100, gets
- 1:00:01hundreds of emails perhaps, so that comes out.
- 1:00:03It's a sensitive topic. So it's like really, I mean,
- 1:00:06we've got a message from one of the earlier episodes.
- 1:00:08Someone had had had given up on dating Jewish men because they
- 1:00:12were so jaded. And her episode inspired them to
- 1:00:14start giving another chance that they're going to speak to the
- 1:00:17right Shah Kahneman, have the right people, and they're going
- 1:00:18to start dating Jews again. How many generations of Jews did
- 1:00:21we just save? That's amazing.
- 1:00:22How many generations you saved the world?
- 1:00:24Right. Literally, they say you saved
- 1:00:26the world. Saved the world.
- 1:00:27How many worlds? Because that Jewish lady could
- 1:00:29have married a guy and then that daughter could have married a
- 1:00:31guy, and then all of a sudden all those generations of how
- 1:00:34many kids? Yeah.
- 1:00:35So like, I'm like, blown away. Blown away.
- 1:00:39But the guy who wrote the letter wants to know who you think you
- 1:00:41are. Yeah.
- 1:00:41And how dare you. How you know?
- 1:00:43You'll get that letter too soon you.
- 1:00:44Know, you know that like yeah, like I I anyone who gets who
- 1:00:47gets hate with what they do and it's inevitable if you're doing
- 1:00:50something good, doing something special, it's like don't spore
- 1:00:56gets it. Also, by the way, it happens
- 1:00:57there, there are some factions that would be like, why you
- 1:01:00talk? Why are you talking about love?
- 1:01:02And, and I, I look at these people, I'm like, what do you
- 1:01:05mean? It's in the Torah, right?
- 1:01:07What do you think tuba is like? It's in the Torah love.
- 1:01:11We can't become firmer than the Torah.
- 1:01:12We can't make up halakhs that don't exist.
- 1:01:15Why are we talking about relationships?
- 1:01:17Why are we talking about love? I don't know.
- 1:01:18Maybe because 50% of people are getting divorced nowadays.
- 1:01:20Maybe you want to change something.
- 1:01:22Maybe you want to actually make an impact, right?
- 1:01:23Like maybe because not talking about it didn't do so well,
- 1:01:26right? Maybe our track?
- 1:01:27Record. Isn't that right?
- 1:01:28And that's why we're doing a lot of uncomfortable people.
- 1:01:30Also by the way. Now, let me ask you, when are we
- 1:01:33starting to roll in though? When is this?
- 1:01:35When's the money following? Like, listen, you're already at
- 1:01:38a place where you're in the 1%, like in our community, even the
- 1:01:42extended communities all over the world, all the Jews, nobody,
- 1:01:45nobody has what you have. Like you're doing something
- 1:01:47phenomenal. Like I expect some big
- 1:01:49paychecks, like a big payday. I want to see you with a driver
- 1:01:52soon in a Rolls. You know something like see.
- 1:01:57Those things will never happen. You know, like I, I, I will
- 1:02:01invest every single dollar into building this up.
- 1:02:03You know, I, I mentioned earlier what our, what, our, what our
- 1:02:05budget is. And it's not private
- 1:02:07information. It's our 990's public, we're
- 1:02:09nonprofit. So it's, it's public.
- 1:02:12My, my dream, my goal, my next thing we're working on is is to
- 1:02:18build out meaningful and A plus and to have paid subscribers,
- 1:02:22thousands of them and to, to, to really invest in those in
- 1:02:27content. Like I, I want these rabbis,
- 1:02:29these speakers who don't get paid really well at all to be
- 1:02:32doing what they're doing to create a creating content like
- 1:02:35not enough to be doing it more often.
- 1:02:38I want to bring them onto the network and pay them real money
- 1:02:40and say like, let's take this seriously.
- 1:02:42Like why is Mr. Reese making more money than you?
- 1:02:45Why, why are these Twitch streamers making like let's
- 1:02:48literally we live in this world. We see, you know, there's this.
- 1:02:54We're supposed to learn from what they do and how they
- 1:02:56utilize technology. There's no reason why we can't
- 1:02:59do it. There's no reason why we can't
- 1:03:00take some of the top. Like I want to make the Mount
- 1:03:02Rushmore of Jewish thought leaders and creators and say,
- 1:03:05let's go to work. Let's, let's create.
- 1:03:08Let's create movies, let's create documentaries.
- 1:03:10Let's create podcast. Let's let's double down.
- 1:03:12Let's make a 50,000 square square foot warehouse where it's
- 1:03:16going to be a literal content creation machine because what's
- 1:03:22the biggest impact nowadays? It's what people are seeing
- 1:03:25online, what they're seeing on their phone.
- 1:03:27It's what there's what they're seeing on the computer.
- 1:03:28That's what it is. Yeah.
- 1:03:29We need to invest in it. Seriously.
- 1:03:30So like. I love that.
- 1:03:31I think that that's. His Rolls Royce.
- 1:03:33That's what he Rolls Royce sounds like.
- 1:03:35I'm a little disappointed in the answer.
- 1:03:37I'm not a card, no. I think that's amazing what
- 1:03:39you're saying and like you're a better person than than than
- 1:03:42most. You know that you're doing this
- 1:03:44really genuinely for real authentic reasons.
- 1:03:46I admire. That like of course I want to
- 1:03:48take care of my family, pay my mortgage like everyone else.
- 1:03:51It's something for not people like a lot of hard work over
- 1:03:53here you have to contend with, you know?
- 1:03:55What do you do for fun? I play sports.
- 1:03:58I play baseball. You.
- 1:03:59Have to run a baseball. We won the.
- 1:04:00Championship. We won the championship into.
- 1:04:02The world to know you. Know it took a lot of gold by
- 1:04:04the way, on my part and you know, I I take chances.
- 1:04:08I'm a risk taker and I I drafted Nachi you talking risk that that
- 1:04:14wasn't the risk part. I I drafted him onto my baseball
- 1:04:16team. But then I asked him if he wants
- 1:04:18to Co sponsor the team together meaningful, you know, people and
- 1:04:23and not any business. Yeah, I'm like a no name
- 1:04:25podcast. He's, you know, you heard today,
- 1:04:27you know what, What he's all about.
- 1:04:29And he did it, yeah. And he and he very graciously
- 1:04:32accepted. He didn't thank you for that.
- 1:04:34I liked the name. He was very humble about the
- 1:04:36whole thing. He's Steven.
- 1:04:37Today. I'm like, listen to him.
- 1:04:38Why not? More than most people have done
- 1:04:41in generations. And you're here like you know,
- 1:04:43and you're just like a regular guy and you're.
- 1:04:45That's again, that's the message, by the way, like
- 1:04:47regular people, that's what that's what happens.
- 1:04:50That's what your example. My whole message is like
- 1:04:52everyone I sit down with is regular or I don't know, regular
- 1:04:55is not the word. They're they everyone I sit down
- 1:04:58with is, is someone who who probably got in trouble as a
- 1:05:04kid, who probably didn't get good grades all the time, who
- 1:05:06made trouble, who got punished, who maybe suffers from some sort
- 1:05:11of stress, anxiety, depression. Every single person I sit down
- 1:05:14with, that's, that's who it is. Like that is the makeup of the
- 1:05:19Jewish people. That's who we are.
- 1:05:21Like we love looking at the end game, the success.
- 1:05:24Oh, wow, look at that. Look, look what this guy's
- 1:05:27doing. Look at the impact he's making.
- 1:05:30And when you just see that you literally, you take away the
- 1:05:33entire ingredients to the recipe, like, no, the stress,
- 1:05:38the, I'm not saying bring it upon.
- 1:05:39You don't have to bring stress upon themselves.
- 1:05:40It's natural, it happens. But that's not things that are
- 1:05:43going to get in your way. You can use those things.
- 1:05:46Like everyone I've spoken to, like Arby Finer, who dealt with
- 1:05:49the biggest challenge of a life to to not be able to have kids,
- 1:05:53to have a kid with special needs.
- 1:05:54And that's it. Challenge of a lifetime to to
- 1:05:56interviewing a girl like a lady like Malky Jacobs who is living
- 1:06:00a amazing normal regular life and then got sick and then got
- 1:06:04her arms and legs amputated like and she is giving to others.
- 1:06:10These are these are people that used the things that the worst
- 1:06:14things that were given to them and they made it into something
- 1:06:17sweet and beautiful and everyone listening can do that, whether
- 1:06:20in business, whether in relationships in in life, in
- 1:06:24general, whether you're young or old, you're going to be punched
- 1:06:26in the face, hopefully not literally, but figuratively.
- 1:06:30You definitely will be, unless you like very rich in laws on
- 1:06:34the I don't know exactly, but then you're getting punched.
- 1:06:37Then you're getting punched in the gut.
- 1:06:38Exactly. That's a whole different.
- 1:06:39Kind of punch, but you see I listen take me to mojo like but
- 1:06:45that's. Amazing you're going.
- 1:06:47To get you're going to get punched and and it happens to
- 1:06:49every single person and the person who's unscathed and
- 1:06:52untouched is not the person who's successful.
- 1:06:54You're gaining a tremendous amount of experience and just
- 1:06:57being around these people. And it's for the best thing
- 1:06:59ever. I don't know when I like see a
- 1:07:00lot of your clips. I feel like bad about myself.
- 1:07:03Like, no, that's that's. Not the goal I.
- 1:07:05Know, but I feel like there are so many amazing people out there
- 1:07:09in the world. There's so many people that step
- 1:07:10up and that overcome. They persevere and they make
- 1:07:13something out of themselves. Not that just they get by and
- 1:07:16they just they make do they actually grow, they become
- 1:07:18bigger and better and it's very inspiring to see.
- 1:07:21It really is. It's amazing.
- 1:07:22I wish, I really wish on us, Michael, that our podcast, you
- 1:07:25know, again, our goal isn't just like to feed inspiration to
- 1:07:29people. You know, we don't consider
- 1:07:30ourselves those kinds of people, but we we are regular people.
- 1:07:33The average show you're you're casual person trying to do the
- 1:07:35right thing in the religious setting.
- 1:07:37And we want to be a little bit better today than we were
- 1:07:40yesterday. Small spurts, little tiny
- 1:07:42stepping stones. We're we grow personally and we
- 1:07:46grow professionally. We believe very wholeheartedly
- 1:07:48that the two are infused, one and the other.
- 1:07:50They go side by side. You know, you got to apply your
- 1:07:52business to your personal values as well.
- 1:07:55And that's what we just try to do and we try to showcase
- 1:07:57examples of that and take one little small message at a time.
- 1:08:00You're doing it on a grand scale.
- 1:08:02I mean, you've, you really are playing I.
- 1:08:03Have a great team, I really do. I have a great team.
- 1:08:05We have a staff of like 7-8 people.
- 1:08:08Do you do this yourself? Do you host it yourself?
- 1:08:09Like do you have a a Oshi or a Michael I?
- 1:08:11Have Momo Bauman he's my Co host now and and you know what is his
- 1:08:17airing probably this week OK yeah yeah Momo was amazing and
- 1:08:22I'm sure like we'll have other Co hosts, you know, guest Co
- 1:08:24hosts like it's it's something that like.
- 1:08:25Oh, so it's not your, it's not your partner like he's.
- 1:08:27Just like he's been on for the last couple years.
- 1:08:30But you know, oh, he's amazing. Momo was the best. 40 years old,
- 1:08:34why didn't he come? Who was busy man?
- 1:08:35Who was his business? Invite him.
- 1:08:37Yeah. What was the man?
- 1:08:37We could. Do Co hosts together.
- 1:08:39We could do the podcasters podcast.
- 1:08:41How? Often do you do a podcast How
- 1:08:42how well every. Week.
- 1:08:43Put it out every week, every week, every single week.
- 1:08:45And how many episodes are you in?
- 1:08:47Over 200. Wow.
- 1:08:49Over 200. And it's gotten easier over
- 1:08:53time. It's gotten better.
- 1:08:54Yeah, I'm sure things go a lot smoother now.
- 1:08:56You already know the system, you have it all.
- 1:08:58I just have to tell you, this is on my mind.
- 1:08:59Sorry guys. You know, I'm a big fan of
- 1:09:02therapy and I feel like this is therapy.
- 1:09:05When should I talk? Every week.
- 1:09:07And we just, you know, our grievances where we talk about
- 1:09:10whatever it is the stuff. Yeah.
- 1:09:12We, we, we grow through speaking to each other.
- 1:09:16I would say the reason why I believe friends are so important
- 1:09:19to one another is because it's therapeutic.
- 1:09:20It's having a friend is is a form of therapy.
- 1:09:23What you're doing and the impact that you're having on everyone
- 1:09:26is therapeutic. When when I'm listening to what
- 1:09:28you have to say or your guests have to say, it's not only
- 1:09:32therapeutic for them, it's therapeutic for us and us as a
- 1:09:35nation and us as a people. I think that it's just we need
- 1:09:38it. And you were you touched upon
- 1:09:39this while you're talking. I'm thinking about the whole
- 1:09:41time. I'm like, yeah, we're Holocaust
- 1:09:42survivors. We're you know, we a lot of us
- 1:09:45have gone through a lot of, you know, challenges in our life and
- 1:09:48hearing other people's challenges and how they go
- 1:09:50through it. It's all part of the therapy
- 1:09:52that we're helping each other. It's just really beautiful.
- 1:09:54I had to mention it. It's.
- 1:09:55I was I was the other day working out with a with a
- 1:09:57friend. T4.
- 1:09:59What's that? T4.
- 1:10:00What's T4? You guys know what T4 is?
- 1:10:02Workout. No.
- 1:10:03You guys know what T4 is? No.
- 1:10:04I. Don't know what T4 is.
- 1:10:06Oh my God. So you know.
- 1:10:07What that is? Yeah, I'll explain.
- 1:10:09Jump right in. So T4 is like, wow, I'm shocked.
- 1:10:12And OK, T4 is like. We may have to edit this 'cause
- 1:10:15if it makes us look like total idiots we don't like, we look
- 1:10:17under a rock. Or something.
- 1:10:18I'm not gonna let you let every you get everything out.
- 1:10:21This is staying in OK T4 is your kids never told you what T.
- 1:10:25Four, we might know about it if you tell us, OK.
- 1:10:27T4 is let's say you you walk in and you're like, oh, my back is
- 1:10:31killing. The Bentley seats are really not
- 1:10:32so comfortable. T4 like oh like.
- 1:10:35T4 is. Like.
- 1:10:37Therefore you're like. What time is it you roll?
- 1:10:39Exactly so you're like, so I was in the gym yesterday working
- 1:10:41out. I was killing it pumping 100 lbs
- 1:10:43and so it's AT4. Like so when someone says, when
- 1:10:47someone says to you, like honestly, if I didn't have that
- 1:10:50driver, I would be so tired right now.
- 1:10:53You took the words out of my mouth, but I'm I'm glad to learn
- 1:10:56this new, you know, because I was gonna say, oh, is she you're
- 1:10:59working out by. The way you're not gonna by the
- 1:11:01way, I don't know who your friends are and stuff, but like
- 1:11:04you're you're done. Like every time they open their
- 1:11:06mouth, every the whole kid is you're like divor.
- 1:11:08Divor, God, divor. And sure, all this week, 'cause
- 1:11:10I'm getting roasted, it's happening.
- 1:11:11Oh yeah, if they hear this. Yeah, Oh my God.
- 1:11:14OK, they. Hear it?
- 1:11:14But you're working out. Yeah.
- 1:11:15Tell us so She. Yeah.
- 1:11:17And I feel like, you know, yeah, I didn't get out of my Bentley
- 1:11:20to go right now, but I went and I was with with a friend and the
- 1:11:25next day I felt extremely sore, like I couldn't move.
- 1:11:28Feel so bad, yeah. I can't even say the story
- 1:11:31anymore with a straight face. Thank you for that.
- 1:11:33Totally ruined it for me. Yeah.
- 1:11:35And I'm trying to make a very important point for that.
- 1:11:37OK, you'll see. I may add, I was going somewhere
- 1:11:40with this anyway, So I texted. I texted.
- 1:11:43I said, by the way, I can't move again.
- 1:11:44And I was like, oh, maybe I shouldn't have, you know, You
- 1:11:46know, I shouldn't have worked out so hard.
- 1:11:50You see that? But I just ruined.
- 1:11:52I just ruined your brain. So that he writes back to me.
- 1:11:54He's like me too. I'm also sorry I can't either go
- 1:11:57made me feel better, like it wasn't just me.
- 1:11:59I felt like somebody was feeling my pain, you know?
- 1:12:02I felt like he was commiserating me, so to speak, right?
- 1:12:05Yeah, soft landing, I was. Going to say I said I think the
- 1:12:08reason why people resonate so much with podcasts, especially
- 1:12:11yours, is that you hear other people's vulnerabilities and
- 1:12:14hear other people's struggles and they're sharing they're
- 1:12:16talking about it. And that makes you feel a little
- 1:12:19bit better is that you see that this has happened to others
- 1:12:21around me too and you know, this is how they deal with it.
- 1:12:24You know, I really wish I could have made this point a lot
- 1:12:26better and I. Didn't I'm happy that I went
- 1:12:28this way because I was able to teach you something important.
- 1:12:30Yeah, our kids are going to be very.
- 1:12:31Happy. Yeah, obviously.
- 1:12:33How do you say it? Are you before you just before
- 1:12:35You say before. Right when you start your story.
- 1:12:37Well, someone says something about it sounds.
- 1:12:39Someone says something, you know, I, I, I was, I was in once
- 1:12:44in, I was in a Cafe in, in Cedarhurst and someone, I was
- 1:12:48wearing like a sweatshirt because I'm a regular person and
- 1:12:51I wear sweatshirts and like people, people are like, why do
- 1:12:54you dress like on a podcast? Why do you wear a sweatshirt?
- 1:12:56I'm like, so this is the point I'm making.
- 1:12:57Like I'm a regular person. I'm not a rabbi, I'm not a Rav.
- 1:13:00I don't hold to be one. I'm a regular person who loves
- 1:13:05what I do and I'm passionate about what I do.
- 1:13:08And someone said to me that like, you know, I really, I I
- 1:13:11appreciate that there's someone out there that's wearing a
- 1:13:13sweatshirt that is actually showing that like, that's fine.
- 1:13:16That's not. Yeah.
- 1:13:16Like that's you're not, you're not a sweatshirt.
- 1:13:19Yeah. You happen to wear it.
- 1:13:21It's just like, yeah, you don't. I think that it's important for
- 1:13:23all us to know that giving over anything is not just just
- 1:13:28exclusive to someone with a long beard and a rabbi prefix.
- 1:13:32It's we're all responsible to to do that.
- 1:13:35And it. It doesn't matter if you wear a
- 1:13:37sweatshirt or if you're here is excellent or whatever.
- 1:13:41Like these things are so non important.
- 1:13:43Everybody something to offer, they could all contribute, they
- 1:13:45could all we're all team right and everybody has to carry their
- 1:13:47way a little bit. Tenders rely on the captain or
- 1:13:49the best player. Exactly.
- 1:13:50Everybody's got to do something if you want to really get a big
- 1:13:52win. You know, the other day I went
- 1:13:54to a Vart and Michael, you know what we're talking about Who's
- 1:13:58hard? I'm, I'm being very careful,
- 1:13:59like what I'm going to be saying because I don't want to you.
- 1:14:01Don't be careful. Not be careful.
- 1:14:03About this T4T4 yeah I go to this vart and I was going to go
- 1:14:08out with with friends after the vart and I didn't want to like,
- 1:14:10you know, put on a suit and tie and everything go to the vart
- 1:14:13and come home and change and go out.
- 1:14:14It's like, you know, I'm just going to do what's working for
- 1:14:16me right now. I'm just going to be comfortable
- 1:14:18and I one of my jeans and my sweatshirt, you know, and real
- 1:14:22idea. I know I'm.
- 1:14:23Kidding. I'm kidding.
- 1:14:24I did it anyway. And then I, I, I pull up to the
- 1:14:26hall, I said, wow, it's very busy.
- 1:14:28Like it was AI guess very popular.
- 1:14:29Oh my God, I went to a hall at an engagement party with over
- 1:14:34100 people it. Was a fart.
- 1:14:35Anything was going to be that and.
- 1:14:36I felt out of place with my jeans.
- 1:14:37He thought it was going to be like a private.
- 1:14:38Meeting, I said to myself at that moment I said, you know,
- 1:14:40I'm going to own it, I don't care, I'm just going to walk in
- 1:14:42and too bad whoever doesn't like it, you know?
- 1:14:45And I did, and I walked in and of course, the Commons came
- 1:14:48flowing within minutes. You know, everybody's out.
- 1:14:51What are you doing here? But then there were some people
- 1:14:53who came over to be like, one guy especially.
- 1:14:55So I surely came over to me. And he's like, well, she, that's
- 1:14:57it. You have a podcast now, you
- 1:14:58could do whatever you want. I'm.
- 1:15:01Like, you know, OK, there's maybe do a little bit of perks
- 1:15:03to this, you know, but I, I, I agree, I think that.
- 1:15:06People can't just get overanalyzed.
- 1:15:07Yeah, people should. Just be themselves, be
- 1:15:09comfortable. You don't always have to be
- 1:15:10worried about other people are going to think about you.
- 1:15:12That's a tough way to live. It's very hard.
- 1:15:14It's so much better. Obviously you be respectful and
- 1:15:17you do things that are social norms and and you you be
- 1:15:19respectful. That's the most important thing,
- 1:15:21right? But like.
- 1:15:23Was that disrespectful? Going to the right dress that
- 1:15:25way. That intention's vote was, you
- 1:15:26know, it's. Who's your ready, son?
- 1:15:28How much do you care? That's all it's.
- 1:15:30Yeah, you know, yeah, I think it's fine.
- 1:15:31Do you want to show the person that you actually got dressed
- 1:15:33for his party or? Yeah, you know.
- 1:15:35Like we have to wrap up, I have a 12:00 we have to throw.
- 1:15:38The Milky out. Oh, OK, fine.
- 1:15:40Middle of the day we still have. Yeah.
- 1:15:42Thank you guys, You know. Business over here, you know we
- 1:15:45need to function. Yeah, this has been fun.
- 1:15:48Now I have. A question for you, what advice
- 1:15:50would you give us? You know, we're, we're 20
- 1:15:52episodes in and we, we care about making an impact simply
- 1:15:57because it's the brand of what we're trying to do is our
- 1:16:00journey and growing with us. And we really feel that business
- 1:16:04and personal are mixed. And that's really what our
- 1:16:06message is constantly. And we should always have the
- 1:16:09values and grow and we're trying to reach an audience.
- 1:16:12And you know, people ask us all the time I go, who's your
- 1:16:14audience? What are you about?
- 1:16:16Any advice that you can give us? 'Cause we don't know right now.
- 1:16:17The people ask us like what's your podcast about?
- 1:16:20We're like, I'm not really sure. It's unscripted.
- 1:16:22We just sit down, we talk to people.
- 1:16:24It's just three. Guys with personalities just
- 1:16:26trying to talk about things that might make other people feel
- 1:16:29better. It's really kind of what we're
- 1:16:30doing. One great guy it's.
- 1:16:31Yeah, one 1 1/2. Yeah.
- 1:16:35Excuse me. Hello. 2 1/2.
- 1:16:37Thank you. I I think just consistency just
- 1:16:40like just keep doing it every single you do every week, keep
- 1:16:45doing it every single. Week since then, he was very
- 1:16:46particular about that. Don't don't think like I would
- 1:16:49say don't take a week off like it's going to be difficult.
- 1:16:51It's hard. Keep doing it every single week.
- 1:16:54And, and and just listen to the to what people want more like
- 1:16:59you. You'll find you.
- 1:17:00I'm sure you look at some episodes and some resonated more
- 1:17:03than others. And but the biggest message is
- 1:17:05consistency. Don't don't get, don't fall too
- 1:17:08much in love with the numbers. It's not all about the numbers
- 1:17:12and if you continue to create good content, the numbers will
- 1:17:14come. It's just a byproduct of
- 1:17:16creating good content that happens.
- 1:17:18It's not going to happen after 20 episodes for me, didn't have
- 1:17:2120 episodes and think on now our our our podcast is extremely
- 1:17:24popular, but it's it's a slow roll.
- 1:17:26Sometimes it doesn't happen overnight.
- 1:17:28It doesn't it doesn't just blow up takes time.
- 1:17:31So just create good content. That's it.
- 1:17:34And do do consistently. And be consistent.
- 1:17:36I appreciate that. Thank you so much, Nachi.
- 1:17:37This has been the another episode of the None of Your
