Parika Stelling is getting a $423 million upgrade with a new access road, waterfront drainage, and parking apron — all part of a $10.5 billion plan to turn it into a modern regional hub. Phase one is underway, building the main concrete stelling while keeping ferry services running. New vehicular scales, a marina, and upgraded facilities for customs, police, and coast guard are also in the works — all designed to boost trade, tourism, safety, and efficiency along the Essequibo Coast by 2029.
