Speaker 1: Greetings, programs, and welcome to Music City.
• 0:03
Speaker 2: I'm Connor McGehee, and this is Colorado Avalanche Hockey. Tonight,
• 0:07
Speaker 2: the Avs are on Broadway to play the Predators. For
• 0:10
Speaker 2: the only time this season, Colorado will be on the
• 0:13
Speaker 2: road waiting for Nashville to land after losing in overtime
• 0:17
Speaker 2: last night in Pittsburgh.
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: Planning and plotting.
• 0:20
Speaker 2: On how to carry the success from Friday's win over
• 0:22
Speaker 2: Tampa into tonight. The Bridgestone Arena is always full of surprises,
• 0:27
Speaker 2: and nothing comes easy here in Music City. So put
• 0:31
Speaker 2: on your listening sweaters for the abs and preds. Force
• 0:34
Speaker 2: of Nature versus Schwarzenegger's Nemesis. Live for your listening pleasure
• 0:40
Speaker 2: around North America and around the world on the Altitude
• 0:43
Speaker 2: Sports Radio Network. He curls it to the point. It's
• 0:48
Speaker 2: Roman Yossi walking the blue line. Makes his way to
• 0:50
Speaker 2: the far side of the zone. Back for Forsberg. Up
• 0:53
  Speaker 2: top for Yossi.
• 0:54
Speaker 1: Holding. Yossi at the deep slot. Almost skated into the
• 0:57
Speaker 1: neutral zone. Forsberg again.
• 0:59
Speaker 2: Down low for Ryan O'Reilly. Wants a backdoor pass. One-timer
• 1:03
Speaker 2: from Forsberg misses. Logan O'Connor chops it ahead.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: Never made it out of the zone. Forsberg. Shot scores.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: Colorado has to clear. They don't.
• 1:17
Speaker 2: And of course it's Forsberg. Avs have been on their
• 1:23
Speaker 2: heels from the jump. Arrested team. They take a penalty
• 1:28
Speaker 2: early on. They fail to clear the zone. As it
• 1:34
Speaker 2: looked like O'Reilly pinched far side boards and kept it in.
• 1:39
Speaker 1: No, that was Stamkos, beg your pardon. 9-1, not 9-0
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: for Forsberg.
• 1:46
Speaker 2: It is only his second goal of the year, and
• 1:50
Speaker 2: it's 1-0 Nashville. First period, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
• 1:55
Speaker 2: They're re-showing the clearance from Kael McCarr. We have an
• 2:00
Speaker 2: announcement from Morgan McPhee. Upon video review, it's determined that
• 2:03
Speaker 2: the puck did completely cross the goal line, therefore we
• 2:09
Speaker 2: have a good goal.
• 2:14
Speaker 1: Didn't look like that to me.
• 2:20
Speaker 2: Let's see, this is the, I mean, that is, it
• 2:27
Speaker 2: is over by, I mean, that's barely a millimeter.
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: 2-0 Nashville.
• 2:39
Speaker 2: And the sophomoric nature of the goal celebration continues here
• 2:43
Speaker 2: at Bridgestone Arena. Back to the point in Yossi, walking
• 2:46
Speaker 2: the blue line, Yossi, back to Forsberg, far inside, half
• 2:49
Speaker 2: ball left, out of the ice. Back door all alone.
• 2:53
Speaker 2: O'Reilly stick handling the backhand and he scores. Two power
• 2:56
Speaker 2: play goals allowed again by the Avalanche. Nashville two for two.
• 3:01
Speaker 2: This time it's Ryan O'Reilly. His fifth goal of the season.
• 3:05
Speaker 2: It's 3-0 Preds. O'Reilly got away from Manson left side.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Was all alone. Manson was on Marshall. So O'Reilly stick handled.
• 3:20
Speaker 2: And he actually lost it, and it flew over the
• 3:23
Speaker 2: arm of Wedgwood. Wedgwood got a piece of it, and
• 3:28
  Speaker 2: O'Reilly scores.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: Now we got a fight going! Oh, baby, here we go!
• 3:35
Speaker 2: Parker Kelly and Struble squaring each other up in the
• 3:38
  Speaker 2: Predator Zone.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: No one's thrown a punch yet.
• 3:40
Speaker 2: Right by Struble, right by Struble, but Parker Kelly gets
• 3:43
Speaker 2: around and throws Struble down to the ice. squaring each
• 3:49
Speaker 2: other up for quite some time. Struble got a couple.
• 3:53
Speaker 1: Swings in, but the third was a.
• 3:56
Speaker 2: Miss as Parker Kelly ducked to get out of the way.
• 4:02
Speaker 2: No instigator, five minutes apiece. Wedgwood doesn't have a stick,
• 4:07
  Speaker 2: now he's.
• 4:08
Speaker 1: Got it back. Colton, uncontested, down low, backhander, score.
• 4:22
Speaker 2: Jack Drury. Last year with the Avalanche, a career year.
• 4:33
Speaker 2: Career highs and goals with 10. And tied a career
• 4:37
Speaker 2: high in points with 27. Only his second goal of
• 4:40
Speaker 2: the season. And this is the 10th game, but it's
• 4:44
Speaker 2: against his former team. It's gone from bad to worse
• 4:49
  Speaker 2: to much worse.
• 4:51
Speaker 1: For the Avalanche. 4-0 Nashville. Hyperbole at this point. Nothing
• 4:56
Speaker 1: going right for the Avalanche.
• 4:58
Speaker 2: Pass in front. Wide open they score. Ryan O'Reilly, second
• 5:02
Speaker 2: of the game on the power play. 5-0. Again, it
• 5:20
Speaker 2: was the failed clearance. McCarr's clearance hit Logan O'Connor in
• 5:24
Speaker 2: the back. Marcheseau spun around in front. He got hooked
• 5:28
Speaker 2: by McCarr, but the puck went right to Ryan O'Reilly,
• 5:31
Speaker 2: who put it into a wide-open net.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: Throws on the brakes. Nages.
• 5:37
Speaker 2: Back for a feed. Lekkonen scores. There goes the shutout
• 5:41
Speaker 2: for Eustace Hononen. Arturi Lekkonen continues his red-hot streak. Points
• 5:46
Speaker 2: now in seven straight, seven goals now. In those seven games,
• 5:51
Speaker 2: six goals his last four. Colorado's on the board.
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: It's 5-1.
• 5:54
Speaker 2: Natchez from McKinnon, backdoor for Lekkonen.
• 6:00
Speaker 1: And he taps it in.
• 6:04
Speaker 2: Willsby and Yossi gave the Avalanche top line the most
• 6:09
Speaker 2: space they've had all night. And Lekkonen taps it in
• 6:14
Speaker 2: for his 10th goal of the season in 12 games.
• 6:20
Speaker 2: And frankly has worked harder.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: Nice feed from Molenski.
• 6:23
Speaker 2: For Taves who lets it go. He scores. It's a
• 6:26
Speaker 2: laser from Taser. And Devon Taves gets his fourth goal
• 6:32
Speaker 2: of the season in 12 games. Taves is red hot
• 6:36
Speaker 2: all of a sudden. He has goals in back-to-back contests.
• 6:39
Speaker 2: And the Avalanche get within three with 17-17 to go
• 6:44
Speaker 2: in the third period.
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: Molenski.
• 6:49
Speaker 2: Brought it down the far wall, and then went across
• 6:53
Speaker 2: the zone to the top of the nearest circle, and
• 6:54
Speaker 2: Tabes put it perfectly over the right shoulder of Eustace Honovan.
• 6:59
Speaker 2: 5-2 Nashville. Yossi Unwine shot off the mask of Wedgwood.
• 7:04
Speaker 2: Finds his way, and they score. Stamkos from below the
• 7:09
Speaker 2: goal line. Two goals for him, four power play goals
• 7:16
Speaker 2: allowed by the Avalanche tonight.
• 7:18
Speaker 1: Four. To the top of the Predators zone, glove down
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: by Malinsky.
• 7:22
Speaker 2: One-timer, save made on him. Two seconds to go, one.
• 7:25
Speaker 2: And it's a sad song in Music City. Avalanche have
• 7:32
Speaker 2: lost three straight games in regulation on the road. They've
• 7:37
Speaker 2: lost eight times in regulation here in the last 11
• 7:43
Speaker 2: in Nashville. Final score at Bridgestone Arena, a forgettable 6-2
• 7:48
Speaker 2: win for the Predators.
