- 17:03Speaker 19: Thank you.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Sasi Kaal Saryanu, this is Burra and you're listening to
- 17:26Speaker 4: my new single On the Bridge with Sami Chand on
- 17:28Speaker 4: Ruckus Avenue Radio. I'm a Punjabi artist out of New
- 17:31Speaker 4: Delhi and I have a gut feeling that I'll be
- 17:34Speaker 4: in LA soon and one day, I'm telling you, one
- 17:38Speaker 4: day I'm claiming it. Very soon, we'll pack a stadium
- 17:41Speaker 4: together in LA.
- 17:43Speaker 20: Alright, see you soon.
- 17:44Speaker 9: Bye-bye.
- 17:46Speaker 7: Shout out to Burra there for stopping by.
- 17:49Speaker 9: Yeah, brother.
- 17:50Speaker 8: Hope we packed that stadium out for you here. That's
- 17:53Speaker 8: his new song called Look Eat In. What a great
- 17:56Speaker 8: job there on his new single. Now let's bring in
- 17:59Speaker 8: Meera Sharma, who's got today's Mindful Minute for you.
- 18:01Speaker 7: What's up, Meera?
- 18:02Speaker 1: Hey, Sammy.
- 18:03Speaker 9: Hey, everyone.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Meera Sharma here with your weekly dose of mindful sass,
- 18:08Speaker 1: helping you stay self-assured, spirited, and strong. As September comes
- 18:13Speaker 1: to an.
- 18:13Speaker 9: End, here's your reminder.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Build a life that feels good to you, not one
- 18:19Speaker 1: that simply looks good to everyone else.
- 18:22Speaker 7: It's so easy.
- 18:23Speaker 1: To get caught up in what society says success looks like,
- 18:27Speaker 1: but your life doesn't have to follow someone else's blueprint.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Maybe your version of happiness looks completely different and that's okay.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So this week ask yourself, am I living for myself
- 18:41Speaker 1: or for other people's expectations?
- 18:44Speaker 9: Because at the end of.
- 18:45Speaker 1: The day, you have to live your life, not anyone else's.
- 18:50Speaker 1: You've got this.
- 18:52Speaker 7: That's amazing advice.
- 18:55Speaker 8: Great power for the Monday morning for you guys, courtesy
- 18:58Speaker 8: of Meera Sharma, right here on the bridge on Ruckus
- 19:02Speaker 8: Avenue Radio.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Thank you, Meera.
- 19:06Speaker 8: You know, there are a few albums that we're very
- 19:08Speaker 8: excited about here for the fall. Of course, I shared
- 19:11Speaker 8: one of them with you, which is coming out on
- 19:13Speaker 8: the 29th of October. That's Delvinder. Painted Feelings is what
- 19:17Speaker 8: it's called. And then we have God and Audula. who's
- 19:20Speaker 8: dropping two EPs here. And the very first one just
- 19:25Speaker 8: dropped on the 25th of September. It's called Aajla, season one.
- 19:30Speaker 7: Here is the lead single. It's called Ashke.
- 19:40Speaker 21: Bhabhi di saanu bakshe Karanatiyan gaani lashke Ni modde paundi
- 19:45Speaker 21: chumrid naali kaike yashke Mir jor bala e pateche Nija
- 19:50Speaker 21: tu saala hathche Tu tigra dekhi jateche Khad jaan da.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Kala gathche Main sita.
- 19:55Speaker 21: Chalda puthiyana Bingwal ni saala mathche Lata koi khichda khichle.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Min trust ya nili.
- 20:01Speaker 21: Shatche Saade kam kaale Teriyan galaan dey utne laliyani See
- 20:06Speaker 21: Sony a kiss.
- 20:08Speaker 7: I'm at home in Thailand.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I know that the only.
- 20:10Speaker 21: Thing that I had yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Baby, you
- 20:23Speaker 21: so fire, I miss you so much, I miss you
- 20:25Speaker 21: so much, I miss you so much.
- 20:27Speaker 7: I miss you so much, I miss you so much.
- 20:46Speaker 21: Wherever I keep my feet, my teeth are still there.
- 20:49Speaker 21: I came to the village with a pair of sandals
- 20:51Speaker 21: and a pair of shoes. I didn't want to give
- 20:54Speaker 21: a show-off, so I went to India. I met a girl,
- 20:56Speaker 21: but I couldn't even get a photo of her.
- 20:59Speaker 7: I'm a young man from Siddharth, you're a young man
- 21:03Speaker 7: from Taddi.
- 21:04Speaker 14: You're a body girl, I'm a slim girl, and.
- 21:06Speaker 21: I'm a girl from Kamshiri. We're from Tora, Fera, Enam, Raini, Lodha, Gedi.
- 21:13Speaker 21: I don't know what to do Gadan Ajla collaborating with.
- 22:13Speaker 8: One of his best producer collaborators, I think. Mercy Beats.
- 22:18Speaker 8: It's called Audula Season 1. That is the brand new EP.
- 22:22Speaker 8: That's the lead single from it.
- 22:24Speaker 7: It's called Ashke.
- 22:26Speaker 8: And a great, great vibe to kick off that album
- 22:28Speaker 8: and the rollout for the whole Audula Season 1 EP.
- 22:32Speaker 8: So big shout out to Karan Audula and a big
- 22:34Speaker 8: shout out to Mercy Beats there. Looking forward to the
- 22:37Speaker 8: rest of the project. And now, folks, let's bring in
- 22:40Speaker 8: Daniel Johnson from the UN News Department as he brings
- 22:44Speaker 8: you a news break every Monday.
- 22:46Speaker 7: What's up, Daniel?
- 22:47Speaker 22: This is UN News Today with me, Daniel Johnson. The headlines.
- 22:52Speaker 22: Violence in Yemen is causing an alarming hunger spike in children.
- 22:56Speaker 22: How Sudan's people urgently need support to withstand war and
- 23:01Speaker 22: the El Nino climate shock. And in the occupied West Bank.
- 23:05Speaker 22: New Israeli demolitions deepen ethnic cleansing fears. We'll have the details.
- 23:13Speaker 22: Aid agencies in Yemen have warned about the growing hunger
- 23:16Speaker 22: emergency sparked by renewed fighting between Houthi opposition forces and
- 23:21Speaker 22: government troops after mobile health clinics reported that hundreds of
- 23:25Speaker 22: children displaced by the violence are suffering the deadliest form
- 23:28Speaker 22: of malnutrition. Of nearly 2,900 children screened, The UN Children's
- 23:33Speaker 22: Fund UNICEF said that more than one in four are
- 23:36Speaker 22: acutely malnourished, while around 200 were sick with severe acute malnutrition,
- 23:41Speaker 22: which is even more dangerous. Approximately 130,000 people have fled
- 23:46Speaker 22: clashes in the southwest since fighting erupted in recent weeks.
- 23:50Speaker 22: That number includes around 71,000 children, mostly from Taiz governorate.
- 23:56Speaker 22: UNICEF representative in Yemen, Akhil Ayah, described the ordeal of
- 24:00Speaker 22: one displaced family.
- 24:01Speaker 23: We spoke to Haifa, a young mother who fled Yemen's
- 24:04Speaker 23: west coast, and she told us that the sounds of
- 24:06Speaker 23: gunfire were closing in on her house as her house
- 24:09Speaker 23: was shaking. She told us that she didn't have time
- 24:12Speaker 23: to think. She just knew that she had to run
- 24:14Speaker 23: and run quickly with her family. Today, she and her
- 24:18Speaker 23: family live in extreme heat in a side of a
- 24:21Speaker 23: tent with no source of income and they are struggling
- 24:24Speaker 23: for food and medicine.
- 24:25Speaker 22: Providing health care for all those exhausted by repeated displacement
- 24:29Speaker 22: is vitally important, but reaching communities with the highest health
- 24:32Speaker 22: needs is becoming increasingly difficult, the UN World Health Organization said.
- 24:38Speaker 22: To Sudan, where funding shortages are limiting UN efforts to
- 24:42Speaker 22: help communities impacted by ongoing war and displacement, just as
- 24:46Speaker 22: El Nino threatens to bring 30 to 40 percent less
- 24:49Speaker 22: rainfall than usual. In an alert, the food and agriculture
- 24:53Speaker 22: organization FAO warned of worsening food security for farmers, pastoralists
- 24:58Speaker 22: and fishing communities in regions largely reclaimed by government forces
- 25:03Speaker 22: during the protracted war with former paramilitary allies, the RSF.
- 25:08Speaker 22: The agency has several ways of supporting the most vulnerable,
- 25:11Speaker 22: such as vaccinating millions of livestock and providing goats to
- 25:15Speaker 22: displaced women-headed households and mothers so that children have a
- 25:19Speaker 22: ready supply of nutritious milk. With more, here's the agency's
- 25:23Speaker 22: Rain Paulson.
- 25:24Speaker 24: The things that we do are really to try and
- 25:26Speaker 24: mitigate the impacts of rainfall losses and drought on livestock
- 25:31Speaker 24: by ensuring essentially healthy animals to the extent possible. So
- 25:36Speaker 24: this is about ensuring that the body weight of animals
- 25:39Speaker 24: are retained, that they're vaccinated against the types of diseases
- 25:43Speaker 24: that will compromise their health, that they have access to
- 25:46Speaker 24: animal feed concentrate.
- 25:48Speaker 22: Another successful ongoing project that's brought investment returns of 30
- 25:52Speaker 22: to 1 involves purchasing drought-resistant seed for farmers. From an
- 25:57Speaker 22: initial $ 17 million outlay, farmers produced sorghum crops worth more
- 26:02Speaker 22: than $ 500 million. This year, the agency needs $ 193 million
- 26:06Speaker 22: to support its initiatives. It is currently only 23% funded.
- 26:12Speaker 22: The situation in the occupied West Bank continues to deteriorate,
- 26:16Speaker 22: The UN Human Rights Office has said, pointing to the
- 26:19Speaker 22: mass destruction of Palestinian villages and forcible transfer of residents
- 26:24Speaker 22: in Safayata, South Hebron Hills. In a call for an
- 26:28Speaker 22: immediate halt to the demolitions, the UN office OHCHR said
- 26:33Speaker 22: that Israeli bulldozers demolished homes, farm buildings, water tanks and
- 26:37Speaker 22: solar panels in the village of Jinba on Wednesday. The
- 26:41Speaker 22: forcible transfer of a civilian population from their land by
- 26:44Speaker 22: an occupying power is a war crime. said Ajit Sungay,
- 26:48Speaker 22: head of OHCHR in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Three more
- 26:52Speaker 22: villages in Masafayata have already been almost entirely destroyed in
- 26:57Speaker 22: September 2026, OHCHR said, highlighting fears of ethnic cleansing in
- 27:02Speaker 22: the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Overall, there are 12 villages in
- 27:07Speaker 22: Masafayata housing over 1,100 Palestinians, most of whom have owned
- 27:12Speaker 22: and lived on the land for generations. Israeli demolitions of
- 27:15Speaker 22: Palestinian homes and infrastructure have displaced 1,500 people in the
- 27:20Speaker 22: occupied West Bank so far this year, according to the
- 27:22Speaker 22: UN Aid Coordination Office OCHA. Daniel Johnson, UN News. And
- 27:28Speaker 22: that's the bulletin, but if you'd like to catch up
- 27:30Speaker 22: with the latest news from the UN General Assembly in
- 27:33Speaker 22: New York, go to our website at news.un.org or follow
- 27:37Speaker 22: us online. Just search for UN News.
- 27:40Speaker 7: Thank you, Daniel. Thank you so much.
- 27:42Speaker 8: Daniel appears every Monday here as part of Ruckus Avenue
- 27:45Speaker 8: Radio's partnership with the UN News Department.
- 27:49Speaker 7: Thank you. What should I do?
- 28:23Speaker 16: I don't know what to do without you.
- 28:26Speaker 14: Why is the environment so scary?
- 28:30Speaker 25: The whole of India is looking at you. Glory to
- 28:35Speaker 25: the Lord. I keep my friends and my friends in
- 28:38Speaker 25: my house. I don't know what to do. I don't
- 28:41Speaker 25: know what to do. I keep my friends and my
- 28:43Speaker 25: friends in my house.
- 28:53Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 28:53Speaker 26: What to say, but you're my crush, you're my crush
- 28:57Speaker 26: It's such a beautiful imagination, they say Ask me, where
- 29:01Speaker 26: did you get the drugs from?
- 29:02Speaker 8: They say, you keep them in a big bag We
- 29:04Speaker 8: laugh and you follow us We shout and we get
- 29:07Speaker 8: beaten up every day How many times have we done
- 29:09Speaker 8: this in our lives?
- 29:11Speaker 23: Half of the rush is left.
- 29:12Speaker 27: Behind, the rest is very deep God's grace and goodness is.
- 29:15Speaker 28: With everyone Hania, my love Don't worry about it I understand,
- 29:21Speaker 28: don't worry about it Honey.
- 29:23Speaker 15: I'm here so much attitude and personality.
- 29:28Speaker 7: Passion Honey, I'm here.
- 29:37Speaker 8: So much attitude and personality packed into this song. My
- 29:43Speaker 8: favorite part might be these kind of parting words at
- 29:46Speaker 8: the end of the song. A lot of great self-affirmation
- 29:49Speaker 8: right there.
- 29:49Speaker 7: It's so funny. This next one we've got for you.
- 29:53Speaker 7: The song is called Radha.
- 29:56Speaker 9: Enjoy.
- 29:56Speaker 25: Enjoy.
- 30:09Speaker 17: Why does it keep falling, Radha?
- 30:15Speaker 9: Oh Radha!
- 30:16Speaker 29: My Radha is filled with water in the nest of birds.
- 30:24Speaker 29: These birds have lost their way.
- 31:10Speaker 17: Us ghum chadho lena naam tera kaha mujh se Mere
- 31:15Speaker 17: pank bheege hain paon chalate nahi.
- 31:19Speaker 29: And this jungle mein ek gid bhookha hai Jo mujh
- 31:24Speaker 29: ko dhund.
- 31:25Speaker 20: Taar Gar kal sabha tak na ho khuda ki ganimet toh.
- 31:33Speaker 11: Na saas ho na hi aahhte na ye jiwala So
- 31:38Speaker 11: tell my mother, Radha, that your son is happy.
- 33:14Speaker 7: Love the vibe. Love the track.
- 33:16Speaker 8: And you guys know we've been playing this quite a
- 33:18Speaker 8: bit here on the show over the last couple of weeks.
- 33:22Speaker 8: Ja Divari, collaborating with Nutcut on a song called Radha.
- 33:28Speaker 8: Hope you guys are enjoying yourselves wherever.
- 33:30Speaker 7: You may be.
- 33:31Speaker 8: We've got a lot going on on this show today.
- 33:33Speaker 8: We'll be joined by Sonny Gutterwall, so don't go nowhere.
- 33:37Speaker 8: Sonny will give us a little bit of an update
- 33:38Speaker 8: as to what's going on with their show airing.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Today at 5 p.m. Pacific time. This is Simran Chaudhary.
- 34:14Speaker 20: So so.

- 35:02Speaker 30: kill you. I'll throw you in heaven with two eyes.
- 35:06Speaker 30: I'm yours and you become mine, my dear.
- 35:08Speaker 27: Bring a beautiful girl in the neighborhood.
- 35:12Speaker 10: Of your heart.
- 35:13Speaker 27: Bring a beautiful girl in the neighborhood of your heart.
- 35:18Speaker 20: My dear, look at your face, my dear.
- 35:20Speaker 27: Bring a beautiful girl in the neighborhood of your heart.
- 35:23Speaker 27: Bring a beautiful girl in the neighborhood.
- 35:26Speaker 14: Of your heart.
- 35:35Speaker 8: The song is from Simran Chowdhury. It's her latest single.

- 37:37Speaker 19: Main Jado jado.
- 37:41Speaker 20: Jado jado bhi vekhaan tenu lagda duniyaan jatlai main Jion
- 37:46Speaker 20: jugye jionda hojaan vehke tere.
- 37:48Speaker 19: Haase ni Jaan te sade banyo di jad zulf ji

- 37:59Speaker 19: kumama kislai main Jado jado bhi vekhaan tenu lagda duniyaan
- 38:05Speaker 19: jatlai main.
- 38:14Speaker 8: Siddhu is the artist. The song is called Duniya. I
- 38:29Speaker 8: was mentioning to you that tomorrow we'll be joined by
- 38:32Speaker 8: Shoman Mathur, an interesting artist. He's from Washington, D.C., multi-instrumentalist,
- 38:39Speaker 8: and one of the most talented vocalists that I've heard
- 38:41Speaker 8: from our community here. But he is the front man
- 38:46Speaker 8: and the founder of a one-man rock band called Black
- 38:49Speaker 8: Mustang Defense. He's joining us tomorrow.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I don't know who it is. I don't know who
- 38:57Speaker 3: it is. Yesterday I was free, why am I free today?
- 39:11Speaker 3: Yesterday I was free, why am I helpless today? I
- 39:16Speaker 3: don't know who I am, I don't know I don't
- 39:19Speaker 3: know who I am This world Who knows who it
- 39:21Speaker 3: is This world Is confused.
- 39:26Speaker 14: This world Is confused.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Yesterday, everything was close. Today, look, it's far away. Yesterday,
- 40:02Speaker 3: everything was special.
- 40:03Speaker 5: Today, it's useless.
- 40:04Speaker 7: Neither do we know who it is. Neither do we know.
- 40:06Speaker 7: Neither do we know.
- 40:08Speaker 9: Who it is. This world is a mess.
- 40:40Speaker 8: All the way in from the UK, my brother from
- 40:43Speaker 8: another mother, Sonny Garewal.
- 40:45Speaker 7: How are you, Sonny?
- 40:46Speaker 9: Hey.
- 40:47Speaker 7: I'm doing well, brother.
- 40:48Speaker 6: How are you keeping your cake?
- 40:49Speaker 7: Good, brother.
- 40:50Speaker 9: Good.
- 40:50Speaker 8: Just working away over here, practicing dance moves.
- 40:53Speaker 7: You know, we just put.
- 40:55Speaker 8: Out a brand new show. I was the music supervisor
- 40:58Speaker 8: of a show called Bollywood Dance University. And Bollywood Dance
- 41:04Speaker 8: University is the accompanying documentary to the big Best of
- 41:08Speaker 8: Best show that just got released on Netflix starring Hasan
- 41:11Speaker 8: Minhaj and everybody like that. But, you know, which begs
- 41:14Speaker 8: the question for me, Sonny. You know, what's the dance
- 41:18Speaker 8: scene like over there from this kind of collegiate perspective?
- 41:21Speaker 7: In the US, it's pretty competitive.
- 41:23Speaker 8: We have these like annual events where these colleges get
- 41:26Speaker 8: together and they compete and.
- 41:29Speaker 7: It's a thing. Is there such a thing out there
- 41:32Speaker 7: in the UK?
- 41:33Speaker 6: It's interesting because, bear in mind, I am, you know,
- 41:36Speaker 6: I've batted a half a century right now, right? And
- 41:40Speaker 6: I'm into my 51st year in about a couple of days.
- 41:44Speaker 9: Nice.
- 41:45Speaker 6: And so I'll be honest with you. When I was younger,
- 41:47Speaker 6: there was never a big thing about dancing. But there
- 41:49Speaker 6: was always these little pockets of people who would have...
- 41:52Speaker 6: dance off but it will be community based it will
- 41:55Speaker 6: be if you're interested in hip hop if you're interested
- 41:58Speaker 6: in break dancing I don't know yeah of course you
- 42:00Speaker 6: would know so break dancing was a big thing when
- 42:02Speaker 6: I was younger and it was and it was never
- 42:04Speaker 6: recognized as a art form until a lot later at
- 42:08Speaker 6: the time it was just like oh they're sort of
- 42:10Speaker 6: like seedy down underground sort of thing and then but
- 42:13Speaker 6: then when you look at colleges and universities when Michelle
- 42:17Speaker 6: was at university there were these so they had these
- 42:21Speaker 6: you know committees where they would have a Punjabi society,
- 42:24Speaker 6: a Hindi society. They would have had like, you know,
- 42:27Speaker 6: science society, chess board society. But they also have Bhangra
- 42:31Speaker 6: and dance-related ones as well, like ballet or dancing. So
- 42:35Speaker 6: over here, the one that I really conscribe to is
- 42:39Speaker 6: the Bhangra one, right? And it's called Bhangra Showdown and
- 42:43Speaker 6: it's called the Bhangra Dance-Off or whatever it's called. There's
- 42:45Speaker 6: about three companies, there's three people who would normally set
- 42:49Speaker 6: this up. And the universities would get together, about five,
- 42:53Speaker 6: six big universities would come together and say, look, right, okay,
- 42:56Speaker 6: so what we're going to do is we're going to
- 42:57Speaker 6: do a Bhangra showdown, and you have to pass this, this,
- 42:59Speaker 6: and this. And the judges come on board, and then
- 43:02Speaker 6: they have one night of this massive dance-off against each other.
- 43:06Speaker 6: And then the one who gets to the end gets
- 43:09Speaker 6: crowned Bhangra team or Bhangra university of the year. So
- 43:15Speaker 6: that's where, I guess, What you were just referring to
- 43:18Speaker 6: is what we've got.
- 43:19Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 43:21Speaker 6: And obviously, you know, we gave you guys the, you know, like,
- 43:24Speaker 6: come dance with me or whatever it's called.
- 43:26Speaker 7: I'm from the BBC, right?
- 43:27Speaker 6: Yeah. Come dance with the stars. So that came from
- 43:30Speaker 6: the BBC. So this country has a lot of heritage
- 43:33Speaker 6: and a lot of, you know, a lot to do
- 43:36Speaker 6: with dancing.
- 43:37Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 43:38Speaker 6: Uh, you know, and so as a result, we used
- 43:40Speaker 6: to have dance halls and all of that kind of stuff. So, so,
- 43:43Speaker 6: you know, come dance with whatever it is. I forgot
- 43:45Speaker 6: the name of the show. I'm so, so sorry. I
- 43:46Speaker 6: got blank, but it's like, that's the one that.
- 43:49Speaker 7: We watch as a nation. That's interesting.
- 43:51Speaker 6: And, and, Yeah, so that's the one that we would then,
- 43:55Speaker 6: you know, watch it. But it would be like, oh,
- 43:58Speaker 6: look who's going to be dancing with the stars now.
- 44:00Speaker 7: Oh, look what happened.
- 44:02Speaker 6: It's only the star element came later on and that
- 44:04Speaker 6: was bringing a bigger view. And then obviously that format
- 44:08Speaker 6: has now gone around the world from the BBC. And
- 44:12Speaker 6: as a result, you know, that's the kind of dance
- 44:14Speaker 6: aspect of it.
- 44:15Speaker 7: But here's the thing.
- 44:16Speaker 6: It's the music that brings you in.
- 44:18Speaker 7: That's it, brother.
- 44:19Speaker 6: And I think that's the key thing. And it's funny
- 44:21Speaker 6: because you're the music supervisor. So I guess it must
- 44:23Speaker 6: be really hard for you to think, okay, I need
- 44:25Speaker 6: to be honorable to the, you know, to the dancing.
- 44:29Speaker 6: But I also need to keep my finger on the pulse.
- 44:32Speaker 6: That will bring people in who are probably not interested.
- 44:34Speaker 6: How do you, you know, balance that sort of tight
- 44:37Speaker 6: line with the show and also with the current fight guys?
- 44:41Speaker 8: Yeah, it was interesting because these were filmed at certain points.
- 44:44Speaker 8: And now, you know, to see those things performed, they
- 44:48Speaker 8: feel dated, or they did at the time. But interesting
- 44:51Speaker 8: enough in... In some of the scenes, we did recreate
- 44:54Speaker 8: music to kind of modernize different things and add different
- 44:58Speaker 8: effects to make it kind of come together. And that's,
- 45:00Speaker 8: I guess, a musical trick that we used in the
- 45:02Speaker 8: background there to kind of enhance what they were doing
- 45:04Speaker 8: there with their mixes. But, you know, if there was
- 45:06Speaker 8: anything that I took away from it, Sonny, was just
- 45:09Speaker 8: the personal investment that each of the dancers made into
- 45:13Speaker 8: each of their.
- 45:13Speaker 7: Teams throughout the year. It almost felt like, to me.
- 45:18Speaker 8: I was watching the story of like a local football
- 45:21Speaker 8: team or something, you know, where the play, you know,
- 45:24Speaker 8: each of them were coming together. They felt a responsibility.
- 45:26Speaker 8: There were roles that they were being counted on for
- 45:29Speaker 8: the greater good. And then the story itself, the arc follows,
- 45:32Speaker 8: you know, this, a couple of the dance groups, of course,
- 45:35Speaker 8: and how somebody wins and et cetera, et cetera. I'm
- 45:38Speaker 8: not going to give me spoilers out there, but just
- 45:40Speaker 8: so in case you haven't seen it, but it, to me,
- 45:43Speaker 8: Just how much each of them gave the routine, not
- 45:48Speaker 8: only in the actual confines of the dance group and
- 45:51Speaker 8: the rehearsals and the actual performance, but just on a
- 45:54Speaker 8: personal level.
- 45:55Speaker 7: That, to me, was really interesting.
- 45:56Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:58Speaker 6: And also the platform they've got, they're on Netflix, right?
- 46:01Speaker 6: And so it's going to be filmed. So I guess
- 46:04Speaker 6: they had that much more that is not just going
- 46:07Speaker 6: to be performed to a live studio audience. And whoever's
- 46:10Speaker 6: in that room will see this is going to be
- 46:12Speaker 6: witnessed by them.
- 46:13Speaker 7: There's going to be.
- 46:14Speaker 6: Probably immortalized I mean it's going to be there for
- 46:16Speaker 6: archival and for continuous time does that add I guess
- 46:21Speaker 6: that must add another layer of pressure on them in
- 46:23Speaker 6: some way shape or.
- 46:24Speaker 8: Form it's got to you know their whole story is
- 46:27Speaker 8: being told out there but you know I think it
- 46:30Speaker 8: was generally very positive I think everybody all the teams
- 46:34Speaker 8: and the participants in the documentary did great and you
- 46:38Speaker 8: know because I think the documentary has a little bit
- 46:40Speaker 8: more of an arc to it in terms of the
- 46:41Speaker 8: actual culture you.
- 46:42Speaker 7: Know The film was a little bit more, you know,
- 46:45Speaker 7: a little bit more Hollywoodized.
- 46:46Speaker 8: And so there's like elements of the actual experience that
- 46:49Speaker 8: we're missing. But the documentary did a great job of that. But,
- 46:52Speaker 8: you know, I was just curious because I see it
- 46:54Speaker 8: here in the U.S. and it's evolved so much over
- 46:57Speaker 8: this generation of last, I would say, 20, 30 years
- 47:00Speaker 8: from being, you know, just a few different Bhangra groups
- 47:03Speaker 8: or different dance groups that are happening to men. These
- 47:05Speaker 8: guys are like full on like clubs that are like
- 47:08Speaker 8: being passed down from student year to student year and
- 47:11Speaker 8: fascinating to watch.
- 47:14Speaker 9: Oh, a hundred percent.
- 47:14Speaker 6: And it's nice that, you know, like they say, don't they,
- 47:17Speaker 6: if you want to get rid of a culture, if
- 47:19Speaker 6: you want to shut down a practice of a certain.
- 47:23Speaker 9: People, get rid of their language. Right.
- 47:25Speaker 6: And alongside that, there's also the music element of it
- 47:28Speaker 6: and also the way we move to our music. So
- 47:31Speaker 6: if you can keep those elements alive, which is almost
- 47:34Speaker 6: like part of your DNA, like the heartbeat, that heart,
- 47:37Speaker 6: you know, there's always a rhythm to life. So I guess,
- 47:41Speaker 6: I guess this is what the rhythm to our lives.
- 47:44Speaker 6: No matter where I am in the world, if I
- 47:45Speaker 6: hear at all, I'm going back. I'm up.
- 47:50Speaker 7: That's my people. Let's go. We're my tribe.
- 47:53Speaker 5: Let's go, man.
- 47:54Speaker 7: Let's go.
- 47:55Speaker 6: I guess that's the state for someone who probably hears
- 47:58Speaker 6: the bagpipes. That's right, Sonny.
- 48:00Speaker 7: That's right.
- 48:02Speaker 6: I'm going to take on the world.
- 48:03Speaker 7: It tugs at our heart like nothing else.
- 48:06Speaker 6: It does.
- 48:07Speaker 8: I love it, Sonny. Two guys that have probably not
- 48:12Speaker 8: a foot of dance in us or an inch of
- 48:14Speaker 8: dance capability in us both. Breaking down the dance scene
- 48:17Speaker 8: out there, Sonny.
- 48:18Speaker 7: How about that? Thanks so much for joining me today, brother.
- 48:20Speaker 7: This has been fun. It's always a pleasure.
- 48:23Speaker 9: God bless.
- 48:24Speaker 6: Take care, brother.
- 48:24Speaker 7: Thank you, Sonny. Here's the next song for you guys.
- 49:12Speaker 5: They don't open their doors, they don't make
- 49:14Speaker 5: their doors open They don't make their doors open, they
- 49:17Speaker 5: don't make their doors open poppy on coming albums. I
- 49:22Speaker 5: don't make a cap on worldwide greenery. I don't make
- 49:25Speaker 5: a cap when I see myself drowning. I don't make
- 49:27Speaker 5: a lot of money by doing little things.
- 49:38Speaker 5: .
