- 3:58Speaker 3: and also we have another special guest that's very dear
- 4:04Speaker 3: to us, and you guys hear us talk about him
- 4:07Speaker 3: all the time, and he hasn't been with us in

- 4:16Speaker 3: on this evening. So before we get into our conversation,
- 4:21Speaker 3: I'm going to let my co host Cornell introduce hisself,
- 4:26Speaker 3: and then we're going to pass it over to mister
- 4:29Speaker 3: Legate and let mister Legate introduce hisself, and then we're
- 4:34Speaker 3: going to get into our conversation for tonight. Cornelle, how
- 4:38Speaker 3: are you doing this evening, ma'am?
- 4:41Speaker 4: I'm doing great.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Ma'ama, thank y'all for having me tonight to feel good
- 4:44Speaker 5: to be your co host on tonight.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Let's talk about it.
- 4:47Speaker 5: And yes, ma'am, tonight we're gonna have a good show.
- 4:49Speaker 5: So thank you very much, ma'am.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Mister Legate, how are you doing, sa.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I am doing great and it's always a pleasure to
- 5:01Speaker 4: be here with you guy YouTube Cornell, you're doing okay.
- 5:06Speaker 4: I hope everything's going good. That's good, is good. I
- 5:08Speaker 4: can't wait to get started and see what the topic
- 5:11Speaker 4: is because you don't mean I'm.
- 5:13Speaker 5: All in, you know what?
- 5:15Speaker 3: And me and me and Cornell was talking earlier. I said,
- 5:19Speaker 3: you know, when mister Legate come on, we'll be all
- 5:22Speaker 3: we'll be trying to figure out his case. But tonight
- 5:26Speaker 3: we want to talk about the situation, the drug situation
- 5:30Speaker 3: that's going on inside of these prisons. Me and mister
- 5:34Speaker 3: Legate spoke a couple of weeks ago on this topic
- 5:39Speaker 3: about what's going on inside of the prisons in Texas.
- 5:44Speaker 6: We know it's all over, but we want to talk.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Specifically about Texas. The academic that's going on in Texas
- 5:57Speaker 3: for right now, it's.
- 6:00Speaker 6: In Atlanta, California. It's just all over. Well, the legate,
- 6:06Speaker 6: tell us what's going on.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Well, you know, uh, we had what they call a
- 6:14Speaker 5: little past. What they came to. Uh, it's I don't
- 6:19Speaker 5: even know what it is to be honest with you
- 6:21Speaker 5: know how people say that you think about kinds of
- 6:23Speaker 5: different chemicals that people are ingested here at some times
- 6:28Speaker 5: giving lady that's all and numerous people have to have
- 6:34Speaker 5: their shading this bokie this uh, this drugs uhh and
- 6:41Speaker 5: you know, give me thinking all kinds of vas their
- 6:47Speaker 5: clients to courage the the the problem they I remember
- 6:51Speaker 5: she was last year, but that they drop down the
- 6:54Speaker 5: old white us, you know, for the whole units of
- 6:58Speaker 5: taking them down whatever, which they didn't that I know of.
- 7:03Speaker 5: But they call another contrabss uh. But what's saying about
- 7:08Speaker 5: this drug? It's contraceptible. You can have dogs, they come around,
- 7:12Speaker 5: they try to around. It's unret you know. And I
- 7:16Speaker 5: hear people talking about it all the time. They said,
- 7:18Speaker 5: that's just Bomby. It all came up from me. Everything good.
- 7:22Speaker 5: So you know they feel comfortable now because the drug
- 7:24Speaker 5: is respectable. But what they're doing the influence, yea, they
- 7:30Speaker 5: find an individual. There's one individual that's the influence of
- 7:36Speaker 5: this drug. What they will do is Joe lockdown that
- 7:40Speaker 5: whole section. First we moved to the person that is
- 7:44Speaker 5: high taking the medical, letting come down, and they'll put
- 7:48Speaker 5: their unit that section on lockdown. They call it a
- 7:50Speaker 5: fifteen day lockdown. In otherwise, you have no privileges such whoever.
- 7:54Speaker 5: You lose all your visitations. You can't use the phone. Uh,
- 7:58Speaker 5: no commissaries, you know know what, and you're just confined
- 8:01Speaker 5: to your to your sill and feel they do you
- 8:03Speaker 5: a chalardy and uh there's no rest but a little
- 8:06Speaker 5: money even get rest. When it's so hard they try
- 8:08Speaker 5: to rest and they're saying no because you're I. On
- 8:15Speaker 5: the other hand, you know I bunk and I'm in.
- 8:18Speaker 5: We haven't been. We don't haven't that set problem with
- 8:21Speaker 5: the buildings. The younger they can lock them down, but
- 8:26Speaker 5: I don't understanding.
- 8:27Speaker 6: You didn't.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Other people for what warn offender does if he's caught smoking,
- 8:36Speaker 5: he tucked everybody's down and there. In other words, you
- 8:39Speaker 5: lose way. I know a guy who believe regarded is
- 8:45Speaker 5: showing the privilege, and with that privilege, I should be
- 8:50Speaker 5: getting noticed the charge of health begin I should be
- 8:53Speaker 5: either the mody case to be heard but you're taking
- 8:58Speaker 5: all this away from me. They take away to the
- 9:01Speaker 5: family has coming. And of course what they're doing is
- 9:05Speaker 5: they're creating a hostile environment. By that, I mean they're
- 9:08Speaker 5: not actually directly telling you because of the problems, they're
- 9:12Speaker 5: going to indirectly by causing you to refused. For example,
- 9:18Speaker 5: then if I haven't seen my mom for fifteen years
- 9:22Speaker 5: and all of a sudden, she's gonna come and visit
- 9:24Speaker 5: me and said, because there's one guy here and I'm
- 9:27Speaker 5: going to you this that chases Now I can't see
- 9:30Speaker 5: my mouth because all this way from say Arkansas, I
- 9:35Speaker 5: do that. That's like to see my mom. So of
- 9:39Speaker 5: course I shouldn't angered the person. And they're gonna confront
- 9:43Speaker 5: this guy. There's gonna be an altercation and and and
- 9:47Speaker 5: this is what's happening. But the worst part about it
- 9:49Speaker 5: is after this guy still tell they'll bring him back
- 9:52Speaker 5: and go in packing that sic you know means that
- 9:56Speaker 5: he money have another so set high again and and
- 10:01Speaker 5: h which as happened. This guy I'm talking about, he
- 10:07Speaker 5: went on four older man. Now I'll tell him, you
- 10:24Speaker 5: know that really, but like the sad he goes, I
- 10:30Speaker 5: don't know how long I want to be here.
- 10:32Speaker 6: So what they.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Created, they created this problem and and to then when
- 10:37Speaker 5: you follow the agreement the same This is say protocols,
- 10:44Speaker 5: you have no constitutional rights, your privilege, you don't have
- 10:47Speaker 5: no correction nothing. We're looking to punish you for this guy.
- 10:51Speaker 5: So whatever word you know what screws, you don't want
- 10:54Speaker 5: to be punished. That's how they're bringing this directly through
- 10:58Speaker 5: the offensive population. That's a real, real problem. People are
- 11:03Speaker 5: evening stands up, other units. People are getting I mean
- 11:06Speaker 5: some people I heard that they got their old progress
- 11:09Speaker 5: people like I said, they're dispatching people. But a lot
- 11:12Speaker 5: of these guys don't realize is that the guys that
- 11:15Speaker 5: she's smoking and he gets done. If he wanted to,
- 11:19Speaker 5: he could prend charges on you. Now you haven't aggravated
- 11:23Speaker 5: a boat guard. Again, if you want to stack on
- 11:26Speaker 5: some of the sis, you already have. So it's that's
- 11:30Speaker 5: the case, then d C Jay's gonna say, well, we
- 11:33Speaker 5: don't have nothing to do with it, which in truth
- 11:36Speaker 5: you don't because they're just condoning.
- 11:37Speaker 2: You to do that.
- 11:39Speaker 5: But they're doing it indirectly.
- 11:41Speaker 2: By saying, hey, we you don't use that guy smoking.
- 11:45Speaker 5: In there, you know what? So and and that's that's
- 11:48Speaker 5: that's my my issue is there. I don't know if
- 11:51Speaker 5: Cornells they have the problem or whether at the same
- 11:53Speaker 5: place where he's at, but I'm pretty sure they have
- 11:55Speaker 5: some kind of epidemic going on. But the whole thing
- 11:59Speaker 5: is this that people are done, They're dying. I've had
- 12:02Speaker 5: two people die in my section along within a month apart.
- 12:06Speaker 5: And then it says, and you know, and they expect
- 12:09Speaker 5: us to like, why did you do something? I said,
- 12:11Speaker 5: what do you expect us to do? Your officers are
- 12:13Speaker 5: the one supposed to come around.
- 12:15Speaker 2: And do their their security space.
- 12:17Speaker 5: We're supposed to come in and walk around. Now we're
- 12:20Speaker 5: so short of staff that they have a lot of
- 12:23Speaker 5: security is working, which everybody should have an opportunity to work.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I don't have nothing that the dealer is. This is
- 12:31Speaker 5: is you see them, you go and they're asleep where
- 12:33Speaker 5: you've got their body can and something happens with their
- 12:36Speaker 5: body can and they don't do nothing about it. For example,
- 12:40Speaker 5: just about.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Four days ago, there was a guy that came into.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Work because the peanut butter. Okay, he gets his idea.
- 12:49Speaker 2: The guy wants to back the officer. Actually, this is
- 12:52Speaker 2: what happens.
- 12:53Speaker 5: It's change. Just start eating this die up. The guy
- 12:57Speaker 5: isn't even fighting back when he beat them up. He
- 13:00Speaker 5: gets his radio and it starts banging him on the head.
- 13:03Speaker 5: That he busted his head all open, thread all over
- 13:05Speaker 5: the place. And he didn't even do nothing to that office.
- 13:09Speaker 5: See what I'm saying. And the next day I'm gonna
- 13:12Speaker 5: say walking going to try to get some and that
- 13:17Speaker 5: that that guy the officers have still bragging about it.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I beat him up and I said my
- 13:23Speaker 5: radio was putting people on the.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Head on it.
- 13:25Speaker 5: See this is the type of seals the wish that
- 13:28Speaker 5: we're dealing with in here. But the same thing is
- 13:31Speaker 5: the epidemic of the term and uh and I think
- 13:36Speaker 5: it's really it's a little more how can I put it,
- 13:41Speaker 5: It's given a little bit more hostile than anything. So
- 13:49Speaker 5: and I thought, well I would write to say, man, yes,
- 13:57Speaker 5: I understand. And you know, colorful punishment, man, is a
- 14:01Speaker 5: very serious issue because they deempathize that the life and
- 14:04Speaker 5: states and the well being of an enemy. You know,
- 14:06Speaker 5: if you're doing something wrong with other animates, that you're
- 14:09Speaker 5: doing something wrong, you know, they can beat you up
- 14:11Speaker 5: shaft here and see you okay well and to be
- 14:14Speaker 5: some of the twenty fourth volume five of a Sign
- 14:17Speaker 5: Office lack of names. You know, I would like to
- 14:19Speaker 5: you know, show that you know. The prow podcasts and
- 14:24Speaker 5: let's talk about it has raised concerns about these issues
- 14:28Speaker 5: with our thirds, within our prison system and I'm going
- 14:30Speaker 5: to read to you and articles that's written and let's
- 14:34Speaker 5: sign out the magazine as the title, ving call for action,
- 14:39Speaker 5: escalating drug christ and with PRIs system. In recent is
- 14:44Speaker 5: from similar justice fastilities have been Gaplin with the severer
- 14:48Speaker 5: worse the drug crisis that has resulted it to rise
- 14:51Speaker 5: the up ploty rate among incorporated indivisues before from the
- 14:55Speaker 5: size of the state prisons their situation on the score
- 14:58Speaker 5: by increasing ensence to the DURM overdose and related to death.
- 15:03Speaker 5: This among the trend demands the immediate attention and passion
- 15:07Speaker 5: for both the government, hobbys and society. At last, the
- 15:11Speaker 5: gratty of the situation the tek they oversee. One of
- 15:15Speaker 5: the largest prison systems in the United States thousand and
- 15:18Speaker 5: tens of thousands of individuals. Our prisons are typically perceived
- 15:22Speaker 5: as control of environments, the reality is far more complicated.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Despite spending security measures if they be limited substance both
- 15:33Speaker 5: the art method set of meaning the sthetic cataboid campanoid
- 15:37Speaker 5: tuns their way inside ushered with the legal consequences concerated
- 15:42Speaker 5: individuals who fall play the systems of a few states
- 15:46Speaker 5: height and risen not only to the substance in form
- 15:50Speaker 5: but also because of the inhaticate health available within the system.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Overqual limited access to healthcare services and insufficient addiction to programs.
- 16:01Speaker 5: The selebrate the cris maknit a ticking time but a
- 16:05Speaker 5: lots of death tolls spiking over those interd UH and
- 16:10Speaker 5: related facality and distressed. Each year, more families are notified
- 16:15Speaker 5: the pun family losses that could have been prevented it
- 16:18Speaker 5: primarily intervention and best manners strategy. These statistics are more
- 16:24Speaker 5: than just numbers. We represent individuals who dreams and families
- 16:28Speaker 5: waiting for their lives to return. The day of clearly
- 16:32Speaker 5: indicates a systemic failure within technically access and medigates the
- 16:38Speaker 5: influx and confuture the drugs. The lack of comprehensive drug
- 16:42Speaker 5: treatment program and presented made us contribute to significant to
- 16:47Speaker 5: significantly for these caggies. So what we're saying is that
- 16:51Speaker 5: you know, the group podcast Let's Talk About It has
- 16:55Speaker 5: placed concerns about these issues in the face and the
- 16:59Speaker 5: and the and the minds that will stay with us
- 17:01Speaker 5: and the legislature everybody. But still the scene that these
- 17:06Speaker 5: people are not doing anything, are not going another to
- 17:08Speaker 5: try to correct these rights because a lot of kids
- 17:11Speaker 5: in here, yes, they're dying from these drugs and the
- 17:15Speaker 5: system is following apart. All they care about is money, money, money,
- 17:19Speaker 5: That's all they care about. They're not putting the money
- 17:21Speaker 5: where the money needs to be the proci kids from
- 17:24Speaker 5: using drugs or to try to get them the help
- 17:26Speaker 5: that they need. So, yes, I can understand your concerns
- 17:29Speaker 5: the game about you know what's going on over your facility,
- 17:32Speaker 5: because it's going on over here and everywhere else. You know.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Recently we put the demand for them to come too,
- 17:38Speaker 5: to take Jail Dominga's units, and yes they can't. The
- 17:43Speaker 5: director the reason directors we see if this shoes was
- 17:47Speaker 5: everybody came right, everybody to see what's going on on
- 17:53Speaker 5: this unit? Do them to the concerns and the complaints
- 17:55Speaker 5: being made by the two practists. It's Andrew Thomas Smith
- 17:58Speaker 5: and missus set answer. I'm less talk about. So these
- 18:03Speaker 5: are things that y'all need to do. Y'all need to
- 18:04Speaker 5: come together and get with miss Andles Thomas Smith and
- 18:08Speaker 5: mister us and that Johnson and raise up. But have
- 18:11Speaker 5: your family to raise their bot because if we don't
- 18:14Speaker 5: raise our fortes, nothing's going to be done. Mister and
- 18:17Speaker 5: you know that. So this is what we're actually y'all
- 18:21Speaker 5: to do. Get your family, don't have the contact Miss
- 18:24Speaker 5: Listens Smith and missus Johnson. Let's see what we can do.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Okay, okay, I hear you'll let me jup there real quick.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I had to get silence when you was talking about
- 18:42Speaker 3: the officer that beats the the man over the head
- 18:49Speaker 3: with his radio and and went outside and he bragged
- 18:54Speaker 3: about it the next day two fellow officers and stuff.
- 19:01Speaker 3: How do you know how that that person is doing,
- 19:06Speaker 3: mister lugey, do you know if he's okay or.
- 19:12Speaker 5: Well? The only thing I heard is that he wanted
- 19:14Speaker 5: to getting sent to a hospital. We'll get some stitches
- 19:17Speaker 5: on his head. I really haven't heard from him or
- 19:21Speaker 5: uh heard about him or anything like that. It's like
- 19:23Speaker 5: a hush hut bills. And the officer wasn't actually ragging
- 19:26Speaker 5: to his coworkers. He was actually bragging to another offender,
- 19:30Speaker 5: and that was what was surprisate to me. Uh, and
- 19:34Speaker 5: you know, Cornell, You're right, it's it's it's you know,
- 19:36Speaker 5: the public, the public duce who actually get involved and
- 19:40Speaker 5: kind of find out why is this going on? Because
- 19:44Speaker 5: I had a proposal that I was going to draft up,
- 19:46Speaker 5: and the proposal was to keep every offender, even officers,
- 19:52Speaker 5: from carrying paper. The only thing you can actually carry
- 19:55Speaker 5: with me, your I D officers coming in. They can't
- 19:59Speaker 5: bring no paper or nothing.
- 20:01Speaker 2: In other words, they want to.
- 20:02Speaker 5: Fly everything here. But uh, a lot of people are
- 20:05Speaker 5: telling men, man, you shouldn't do that, You shouldn't do that.
- 20:08Speaker 5: And I'm like why, I mean, you know, why should
- 20:12Speaker 5: why should we not be able to give something that
- 20:15Speaker 5: they might you know, of course they wouldn't probably follow
- 20:18Speaker 5: it because it's too good, because like they thought about
- 20:22Speaker 5: the money. They told about the money.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Well, you know, they say they I've seen a whole unit,
- 20:31Speaker 3: the unit over there in Texas, the prison that they
- 20:37Speaker 3: had shut down because they had person which was a lady,
- 20:42Speaker 3: the sergeant I believe that's what they called called them
- 20:45Speaker 3: over there, sergeant her in a couple of more officers.
- 20:50Speaker 6: They had a.
- 20:52Speaker 3: They said a drug ring where they was bringing the
- 20:56Speaker 3: drugs in and they was making sums of money. I
- 21:01Speaker 3: think it was like seven people was arrested from that prison. Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 3: I've seen it on the news and they always say
- 21:11Speaker 3: you that it's the the guests bring the visitors coming
- 21:16Speaker 3: to bring it in. But in reality, if the guards
- 21:22Speaker 3: is not making that much money and they know that
- 21:26Speaker 3: they can make they mortgage in one day and taking
- 21:32Speaker 3: drugs or cell phones or whatever it may be into
- 21:36Speaker 3: the prison, they're going to take that chance. And that's
- 21:39Speaker 3: really to me, that's how the drugs are getting into
- 21:44Speaker 3: the the purmose system. That's how our young men are
- 21:49Speaker 3: dying every day or come home with uh addicted to drugs.
- 21:55Speaker 3: You know, if they went in.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Not addicted, now they are addicted.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I was just.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Google because I like, I like to look at the
- 22:05Speaker 3: statistics what's going on. So they was the statistics is
- 22:10Speaker 3: saying that Texas alone, that seventy five percent of Texas between.
- 22:20Speaker 6: Twenty and seventeen and now that fifteen point eight get.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Her hundred thousand residents. That's how many people are dying behind.
- 22:37Speaker 6: The drugs.
- 22:38Speaker 3: That's going inside of the prison, and it seemed like,
- 22:42Speaker 3: don't nobody care.
- 22:44Speaker 6: You know, I always say this to you guys, no
- 22:50Speaker 6: matter what your family member may have, do it to
- 22:56Speaker 6: get in there, you guys checked on them.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Make sure that they are all right, Make sure that
- 23:05Speaker 3: they you know that, just just make sure that they
- 23:10Speaker 3: are right, that nothing no Mormon coming to them. Because
- 23:15Speaker 3: if we don't have on our loved ones, they just
- 23:20Speaker 3: sitting there and don't the systems don't think that we
- 23:23Speaker 3: don't care about them.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Okay, we don't care.
- 23:29Speaker 6: That's the WA's what they don't think. What Okay, I care,
- 23:38Speaker 6: I care.
- 23:39Speaker 3: You know, go ahead, you know.
- 23:44Speaker 5: It's it's sad because I know a lot of families
- 23:48Speaker 5: out there. They love their runs, their husbands or whatever
- 23:54Speaker 5: it may be that they loved ones that are in
- 23:58Speaker 5: I know they love what they want and everywhere that
- 24:00Speaker 5: they can. And but they need to see the red
- 24:04Speaker 5: flag where somebody keeps asking and asking for money, asking
- 24:08Speaker 5: and asking.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Hey, send this here, or do this or do that.
- 24:11Speaker 5: You know they're gonna ask himself the question why so much?
- 24:15Speaker 5: Why if I'm sending you he comes and I'm fining
- 24:18Speaker 5: you sending you know, what are you doing with this,
- 24:22Speaker 5: Why don't you need so much money? He may have
- 24:25Speaker 5: a an addiction, and by giving adition, continue to give
- 24:29Speaker 5: it to him because you love him. If you're gonna
- 24:32Speaker 5: solve this problem, it's gonna make it worse. And then
- 24:35Speaker 5: when it makes it worse.
- 24:36Speaker 2: It's the point when he's already not show.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Then you know, I'm not gonna send you no more.
- 24:44Speaker 2: At that time, he's probably already.
- 24:45Speaker 5: In the whole. And then he's nothing going to happen
- 24:47Speaker 5: to him because now he knows the guy who find
- 24:50Speaker 5: it from. Then they're probably gonna hurt him or whatever
- 24:53Speaker 5: the scenario. Putty to it either way, you know where
- 24:56Speaker 5: they can get beat up and fill because they don't
- 25:00Speaker 5: want to say, or he could just you know, nothing
- 25:03Speaker 5: worse could happen to him. Please here. What they're doing
- 25:07Speaker 5: is they're labeling the drunk those all these as a
- 25:12Speaker 5: as a cardiac arrest. The thing, well, it's hard he
- 25:17Speaker 5: had a heart effect or he had a stroke or whatever.
- 25:20Speaker 5: You say that the drug is caustan. Well, if the
- 25:23Speaker 5: drug caused it, you know, what's the drugs there? It
- 25:25Speaker 5: doesn't matter how you sugar coat or whatever you want
- 25:28Speaker 5: to put it. It's a problem and I think everybody,
- 25:32Speaker 5: every every family that loves their love or has a
- 25:36Speaker 5: loved one in prison, to contact your scor contact you represented. Hey,
- 25:42Speaker 5: I'm worried about what's going on in CDC. Why can't
- 25:46Speaker 5: you have the such as rangers, anybody going investigate. You know,
- 25:52Speaker 5: it's not like if they hire a professional people to work.
- 25:56Speaker 5: I heard you say that he applied for or because
- 26:00Speaker 5: he was supposed to apply for Walter or whatever. They say, well, look,
- 26:04Speaker 5: you don't be the job. You don't know what our
- 26:08Speaker 5: life is. You don't know what you know, and this
- 26:13Speaker 5: type of uh love the relationships with people in prison,
- 26:19Speaker 5: but the fact that the man they're not professional, the
- 26:22Speaker 5: regular Joe's we have a background just like you know
- 26:25Speaker 5: everybody else they have a background or whatever. You know, Uh,
- 26:30Speaker 5: they got family parsed whatever.
- 26:36Speaker 6: They're not.
- 26:36Speaker 5: They don't care about, you know, They're just here to
- 26:40Speaker 5: do their job.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Because they have to do it. I got.
- 26:46Speaker 5: This. They got get in the picket, you know, for
- 26:49Speaker 5: for hours and not come into the room or success
- 26:53Speaker 5: their security like you know d C Evendy camp. They
- 26:59Speaker 5: don't work for you know what.
- 27:08Speaker 6: Maybe they're doing. Maybe they came around with the body
- 27:10Speaker 6: on the body camera.
- 27:12Speaker 3: They should the money that they on, they should be
- 27:16Speaker 3: they should be working. And when you were, yeah, when
- 27:20Speaker 3: we were talking about the about the them going into death.
- 27:27Speaker 3: I follow a group of family members wise mothers that
- 27:34Speaker 3: have sons and loved ones over there in prison, and
- 27:37Speaker 3: which one lady she did post in the group that
- 27:40Speaker 3: she wanted to call up there to the prison and
- 27:44Speaker 3: let them know that hey, my child is getting drudged,
- 27:49Speaker 3: you know, and and point the person out and all
- 27:51Speaker 3: of this stuff, but they advised her not to do it,
- 27:55Speaker 3: but you know, and she just went on and said
- 27:57Speaker 3: that he's in so much dead with this person, and
- 28:03Speaker 3: she's scared that her child is going to lose his
- 28:08Speaker 3: money because she can't she can't afford to pay it.
- 28:16Speaker 5: That's that. That's that the see what the mom is
- 28:19Speaker 5: doing to you or everything could be that the buyer,
- 28:22Speaker 5: if it could be to anybody, you know, and and
- 28:25Speaker 5: it's sad. I mean, you know, like when I's been
- 28:28Speaker 5: a hot sup a long time. I'm going on twenty
- 28:30Speaker 5: seven years now for the something I've been doing.
- 28:33Speaker 2: But I know these years that.
- 28:36Speaker 5: You know, people come here and the oh world is change.
- 28:39Speaker 2: The day did I get relieved?
- 28:40Speaker 5: The day the day I get to walk out, I'm
- 28:43Speaker 5: not gonna know the state that I left. I know
- 28:46Speaker 5: the phone is gonna hang up and I wish I
- 28:48Speaker 5: could call you back. Uh, but I'm having some problems
- 28:52Speaker 5: right now. Uh but it was good and I thank
- 28:56Speaker 5: you all for having me, and uh I love you all,
- 28:59Speaker 5: and I just play that the people are in the
- 29:01Speaker 5: world and what your coming to call you representatives? Fight
- 29:04Speaker 5: now what's going on? See if y'all can do something
- 29:07Speaker 5: about this the health uplers and Mike.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Actually have any problem.
- 29:12Speaker 5: And that thank you, Thank you someone else, thank you.
- 29:16Speaker 5: I love you all. Got the airport.
- 29:20Speaker 2: And uh, I thank you and I hope to come
- 29:22Speaker 2: on to you know right you.
- 29:28Speaker 3: It did say one minute right, yes, said one man.
- 29:31Speaker 3: And we we we love you legate. You're in our
- 29:35Speaker 3: part here and I will be reaching out.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Thank you for you think all right listen that seeally
- 29:46Speaker 5: some very serious conversations because you know elected officials, man,
- 29:52Speaker 5: if they wanted to, they can do better about the
- 29:55Speaker 5: what that makes being in course? Okay an individual some drugs, man,
- 30:02Speaker 5: they should set up a facility. Well they know that
- 30:05Speaker 5: there's no drugs being able to come and to that
- 30:08Speaker 5: facility and that individual should be just like a detox. Yeah,
- 30:14Speaker 5: that individual would be in the facility where they know
- 30:17Speaker 5: that he will not be able to get no trust
- 30:19Speaker 5: at all and allow him to set down for two
- 30:23Speaker 5: weeks to thirty days.
- 30:24Speaker 6: Okay, I have a question for you, brothers. So we
- 30:30Speaker 6: couldn't they come up with a program like that. Okay,
- 30:36Speaker 6: we know half the time that the CEO is bringing
- 30:41Speaker 6: it in there. What's going to keep them from bringing
- 30:46Speaker 6: the the drugs into that facility?
- 30:52Speaker 5: Okay? We'll see this type of facility would be actually
- 30:56Speaker 5: ran type of office okay, and it would be monitored
- 31:01Speaker 5: by officers have actually been given todd and actually slip
- 31:06Speaker 5: sir as they mean ensure that they are not bringing
- 31:10Speaker 5: in any into that facility. And not only that, they
- 31:14Speaker 5: will have they determine if anybody like anything, the pro
- 31:21Speaker 5: protective will blow. I will define them to yes, somebody
- 31:24Speaker 5: and he has a lighted out. Okay. So with that
- 31:28Speaker 5: then said man, this type of the facility can feel safe.
- 31:33Speaker 5: He seemed wanted it to be a pactas So with that,
- 31:36Speaker 5: we should glow for our representatives and our lawmakers and
- 31:41Speaker 5: GC issues and you know the mental health and you
- 31:45Speaker 5: see them being all these people to design a program
- 31:48Speaker 5: like this and to help them people get the help
- 31:50Speaker 5: that they need to to mental counsel and to uh
- 31:53Speaker 5: monitor in too, you know mentorship, you know, and yes
- 31:57Speaker 5: they can happen.
- 31:58Speaker 6: They do.
- 32:00Speaker 3: They have any drugs programs like uh counselors, Like can
- 32:05Speaker 3: they take classes?
- 32:09Speaker 5: Well, do you know what man they give you, like
- 32:12Speaker 5: a certain five hour class or like when you first
- 32:16Speaker 5: come in, you know you see a seem you know,
- 32:19Speaker 5: the film is basically how you know the charity from
- 32:22Speaker 5: using drugs? Okay, because then they got a a classes
- 32:25Speaker 5: and they got U. I hain't a manage the class.
- 32:28Speaker 5: That's what the class is that they're put us in
- 32:31Speaker 5: right now to talk to us about the usage drugs,
- 32:34Speaker 5: using alcohol and stuff like this. Well, these types of
- 32:38Speaker 5: facilities that I suprive the rehabilitated facility, but these facilities
- 32:42Speaker 5: are not giving up the tools and the resources that
- 32:44Speaker 5: we need to keep us from using drugs, To teach
- 32:48Speaker 5: us about importance of using drugs, to teach us about
- 32:51Speaker 5: the importance of a chemical makeup of a petrys and
- 32:55Speaker 5: lets it end of mean that cample no stuff like
- 32:58Speaker 5: this into kids as the type of fools available to them.
- 33:05Speaker 5: I'm quite sure, ma'am, that a whole lot would change.
- 33:09Speaker 5: They the governments are not trying to processes and so
- 33:16Speaker 5: now these kids just don't trust me and they're tying.
- 33:23Speaker 6: I was just telling them the date that I followed
- 33:25Speaker 6: a couple of groups.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I also followed Texas Department of Corrections, and they've been
- 33:33Speaker 3: posting that they've been having young people graduate from ghetting
- 33:39Speaker 3: the ged H carpentry, like nice skills that they've been
- 33:46Speaker 3: and they have them up the certificates. Then they capping
- 33:49Speaker 3: down on is that true or is they just giving
- 33:52Speaker 3: us a false narius.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Oh no, ma'am, that is true, okay, but it was
- 34:00Speaker 5: who are gaduated from these types of programs, And that
- 34:03Speaker 5: don't mean if they're not doing drugs, you know what
- 34:06Speaker 5: I'm saying. So the issue is that they just being
- 34:08Speaker 5: allowed to graduate because it makes a list that these
- 34:12Speaker 5: people got to programs in places uh rehabilitation purposes. The
- 34:18Speaker 5: realilitation programs don't don't work, They don't mean anything. Why
- 34:23Speaker 5: because when a person come up with the row, the
- 34:26Speaker 5: plow board will set you off three four, five, six, seven,
- 34:29Speaker 5: eighty nine times and claim that your reabilitation is not
- 34:32Speaker 5: an actual reflection of your institute, and so many they're
- 34:37Speaker 5: just basically beating dead horses over there man within our facilities,
- 34:41Speaker 5: because our plow board system is not communicating what with
- 34:45Speaker 5: the with the cospification division application, the visions I communicating
- 34:51Speaker 5: with the realistation divisions some of them. We have all
- 34:55Speaker 5: these individuals right there waiting to go home to grow.
- 34:58Speaker 5: They won't even really because it's about money, about money.
- 35:03Speaker 5: This is sad. But if you give some of these
- 35:07Speaker 5: guys something to hold on to, an in sen to
- 35:09Speaker 5: this just they'll do better. If they don't give them nothing.
- 35:14Speaker 2: And that's all they can do is sit.
- 35:16Speaker 5: Around, okay, and that that is so true.
- 35:19Speaker 3: That's why I asked, do they offer the program, you know,
- 35:24Speaker 3: just to have a just to be sitting around not
- 35:28Speaker 3: doing that RD I mean not exercising. I believe some
- 35:34Speaker 3: of mister Holliday say he goes out and new workout
- 35:39Speaker 3: and stuff. But then after working out what you get,
- 35:43Speaker 3: he's just around.
- 35:46Speaker 5: That's right, doing nothing. Let's see, that's the problem. It's
- 35:51Speaker 5: not even doing nothing to do. All they can do
- 35:54Speaker 5: is do time. That's all they do now. The most
- 35:57Speaker 5: time they do the most sul because they want to
- 36:00Speaker 5: go home. They don't have nothing, had them to go home.
- 36:04Speaker 5: So now they stresses, and now they turn the drugs,
- 36:07Speaker 5: they turn the gag activity, they turn all these things
- 36:12Speaker 5: to try to help them cope with being incortu rated
- 36:15Speaker 5: behind for the laws. And then he made the parole
- 36:18Speaker 5: board system that's open. We've got a re entry program
- 36:21Speaker 5: that's not even working. They don't even try to give you.
- 36:24Speaker 5: It's nothing to even reach from. No outside of resources,
- 36:28Speaker 5: no no, no housing, no no, no well trying to
- 36:32Speaker 5: make no type of funds. They be too We're gonna
- 36:34Speaker 5: take back to ste So right now, we just did
- 36:38Speaker 5: it with a whole groping system of government officials. We
- 36:41Speaker 5: don't even care now what's going on within house.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Well we've seen that that they don't care. By the way,
- 36:49Speaker 3: they had job doing it over there looking and they
- 36:53Speaker 3: just got aggressed for a million dollars to take care
- 36:57Speaker 3: of it. And they drug give you, guys.
- 37:01Speaker 6: Pa hot water and working your little stuff, you know.
- 37:12Speaker 2: And thank god that's too, ma'am you right.
- 37:14Speaker 5: But see, it wasn't until you and miss Angela almost
- 37:19Speaker 5: spread up the group podcast pushed emails to I stay representatives,
- 37:25Speaker 5: I take the senators of government officials Rehabilitation Division, everybody
- 37:30Speaker 5: to let them know that the big differ the facility
- 37:34Speaker 5: here is uncompotutional and that is unconditioned. Conditions are bad. Well,
- 37:40Speaker 5: they can't, I said, witness that they did come over here.
- 37:44Speaker 5: I'm talking about like forty of them, and they came
- 37:48Speaker 5: for the whole two weeks to we've been in and
- 37:51Speaker 5: they have fixed everything. Man, and they still fixed and stuff.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Yes, ma'am.
- 38:00Speaker 5: They got the show hall window clothes where they put
- 38:02Speaker 5: in they are no longer allowed to wash, no trades
- 38:05Speaker 5: in the trash cans over there. So as far as
- 38:09Speaker 5: the water, mons, they're working on the water right now.
- 38:11Speaker 5: So you know you are absolutely right about that because
- 38:15Speaker 5: the water here is contaminated.
- 38:17Speaker 6: Well, thank god they don't start washing on the trays
- 38:21Speaker 6: and trash can.
- 38:24Speaker 5: Well, ma'am, you know they got the window clothes. They
- 38:27Speaker 5: got a Florida from that window. To believe me when
- 38:29Speaker 5: you stick the phrasing that no longer are they doing that.
- 38:33Speaker 5: They got buckets and they dropping they be cooled out
- 38:35Speaker 5: and in some trash can and they put their trades
- 38:38Speaker 5: into the long loan of them. They washing them in
- 38:41Speaker 5: hot trust hot water. So that's what they're doing with
- 38:46Speaker 5: them where they washing them. I have no idea, but
- 38:50Speaker 5: we know that they're not being washed in that kitchen
- 38:52Speaker 5: right where they was watching them as So we know,
- 38:58Speaker 5: ma'am that advocated It works, man, if we're all on
- 39:02Speaker 5: the same page, man, and we're applicated for the for
- 39:05Speaker 5: the issues that not you know, drug crisis within an
- 39:08Speaker 5: our facility, a parole board system, a broken judicial court system.
- 39:13Speaker 2: You know, people being.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Brought over the incarcerated, you know, ven now being sent
- 39:19Speaker 5: to life centers without paroles. You know, people are being
- 39:22Speaker 5: sentenced with our incompetence, with our competency to hearing people
- 39:26Speaker 5: putting on death road with our competency hearings happened to
- 39:29Speaker 5: be executed in fifteen twenty years just to be executed
- 39:33Speaker 5: for crimes they didn't permission. You know, issues that needs
- 39:36Speaker 5: to be access. These people are not less than no more.
- 39:39Speaker 5: You don't even hardly hear about it no more?
- 39:41Speaker 6: Man, right, and you know speaking on death Road.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Within the last month, uh within April, I believe text
- 39:58Speaker 3: and executed.
- 40:01Speaker 6: Three or four men back to that every week they
- 40:06Speaker 6: was execute So.
- 40:10Speaker 5: Yes, ma'am, okay, okay, but these individuals are mostly under
- 40:17Speaker 5: the tective law or party, which means that they didn't
- 40:20Speaker 5: committe cline somebody else committed to CLI. They are just
- 40:24Speaker 5: being held come on a responsible of another person. So
- 40:29Speaker 5: because of that, Texas is not providing any way out
- 40:33Speaker 5: of allowing them.
- 40:34Speaker 2: People to pull their anything.
- 40:36Speaker 5: They just being executed something somebody else done. And then
- 40:40Speaker 5: on top of that, these people are not changing pisms
- 40:43Speaker 5: and psychological evaluations want to determine that whether or not
- 40:48Speaker 5: they need the requirements to be inscated, because if they're
- 40:52Speaker 5: not over the percentage of seventy on IQ or they
- 40:58Speaker 5: score they are not, they cannot be executed. Man. But
- 41:03Speaker 5: how many people have to given the test to a
- 41:08Speaker 5: small percentage?
- 41:09Speaker 2: Man?
- 41:09Speaker 5: So what we're saying, come, is that there's a lot
- 41:12Speaker 5: of things that can be done and put for them
- 41:15Speaker 5: to be done. Now we can go and put all
- 41:18Speaker 5: for them to go over and do a psychologic evaluation
- 41:21Speaker 5: all the different inmates. I can excuse you and not
- 41:26Speaker 5: have a psychological uh uh to be placed for seventy
- 41:33Speaker 5: to be executed. That would mean that each one of
- 41:36Speaker 5: them people are entitled to a whole new tribalm man,
- 41:39Speaker 5: and that they cannot be executed. He's an issue that matters.
- 41:44Speaker 6: But you know, we're not all the all the ones
- 41:52Speaker 6: they said, applicating for just advocating. Yes, we're not there,
- 41:57Speaker 6: Well we're not. We know what page we're on.
- 42:01Speaker 5: But they're not.
- 42:03Speaker 3: They too busy, want to sell calendars, t shirts, all
- 42:09Speaker 3: other things. But they're not pushing the issues of what's
- 42:13Speaker 3: going on inside of the prisons. They're not pushing the
- 42:17Speaker 3: issue of the wrongful convictions the men say and women
- 42:21Speaker 3: that are actually innocent of crimes sitting in prison. They
- 42:27Speaker 3: they're not pushing that are you know, they're only helping people.
- 42:34Speaker 2: That they know.
- 42:36Speaker 6: They're not helping nobody else.
- 42:40Speaker 5: Okay, And that just saying that, ma'am, I was just
- 42:43Speaker 5: taking this that we should eliminate the conviction and take
- 42:50Speaker 5: that processing out of the hands of place, that process
- 42:56Speaker 5: from the hands of normal visions who are not by
- 43:00Speaker 5: your for the individual whose creatures there to do. Then
- 43:05Speaker 5: we should establish a hand time corruption k force man
- 43:09Speaker 5: to be able to review pictures of people being wrong
- 43:12Speaker 5: to complicted behind the hands of double billing judge, let's conduct, lawyer,
- 43:18Speaker 5: miss conduct, the agent's conduct. Stuff like this. It's like
- 43:22Speaker 5: mister Legate's case, that guy has been wrong to complicted
- 43:26Speaker 5: for a crime he did not committed.
- 43:29Speaker 7: And the system, no, he.
- 43:30Speaker 5: Didn't commit the client, but no one is coming forward
- 43:34Speaker 5: to help this man to de Instead, they let him
- 43:38Speaker 5: ride away in the prison system until he died for
- 43:42Speaker 5: a crime they know he did not commit.
- 43:44Speaker 6: On the prison show.
- 43:47Speaker 3: And you know, and I told him about mister Legates,
- 43:51Speaker 3: they have you have listen legation and death there that
- 43:56Speaker 3: you guys can look into his case and looked at
- 44:00Speaker 3: his documentary and you would see that mister Legate is
- 44:05Speaker 3: in its command.
- 44:06Speaker 6: You can read the newspaper kiptons of.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Them saying mister Legate is not no hit man and
- 44:12Speaker 3: people laughing at him.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Who you know, mister Legate was a recal man.
- 44:21Speaker 2: That's ma'am.
- 44:23Speaker 5: Okay, But look at where mister Legate come from. Man,
- 44:26Speaker 5: this come from Scienttonio texts, ma'am text him and the
- 44:30Speaker 5: scienceorial tective back County issue is the worst corruption city
- 44:35Speaker 5: and and and and it's the worst wow, because they
- 44:41Speaker 5: got double feeling of attorney saying pay of the amount
- 44:44Speaker 5: of money they got needs to turn this represent infid
- 44:48Speaker 5: They got lawyers, ma'am actually allowing their clients to be
- 44:52Speaker 5: prosecute have a crime. They know they didn't commit. The
- 44:56Speaker 5: case of angers. Magic said, yes, all of us is
- 45:00Speaker 5: the very acadey are corrupted that we have to drive
- 45:03Speaker 5: by these attorneys to do things that are.
- 45:07Speaker 2: He say, yes, I got a line of name.
- 45:10Speaker 5: That's what they did. They steal all of the directors.
- 45:16Speaker 6: Yes they did.
- 45:17Speaker 5: They steal erection. So this way they cannot be dealed
- 45:21Speaker 5: with the press off. So now the question is why
- 45:25Speaker 5: would they do that? And not only that, how many
- 45:28Speaker 5: people have been lost be behind these dams that these people.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Sitting no that romance?
- 45:37Speaker 5: So what do we do? How do we go back
