Pinelawn Cemetery Gets Needed Repairs | Greenville News
Pinelawn Cemetery in Kinston, North Carolina, was once an eyesore—overgrown, trash-strewn, and riddled with potholes—but change is underway. Recent repairs patched the roads, and State Rep. Chris Humphrey’s push for better upkeep has led to hiring more staff and boosting pay to tackle high turnover. While full restoration takes time, this is a hopeful step toward honoring those laid to rest—and Rep. Humphrey’s open invitation for community input ensures locals can help keep the momentum going.
