Sinking but Not Forsaken: God's Faithfulness from Youth to Old Age | Psalms 69–71
Episode Overview
What do you do when you feel like you're going under? In this episode we follow Psalms 69 through 71, three prayers wrung from deep distress. Psalm 69 pictures drowning in deep waters, sinking in mud with no foothold, exhausted from crying out, yet the psalmist still turns to praise.
Psalm 70 is a short, breathless plea for help when there's no strength for long prayers. Psalm 71 comes from the vantage point of old age, trusting the God who has sustained us from birth to remain faithful as our strength fades. Together they show a faith that perseveres across every season.
