Introducing Lee to Body Horror - Akira - Anime Club
Kris, Lee (first-time watcher), and Pheebs sit down to watch Akira—the film that turned anime into a cultural shockwave and asked the simple question: what if we gave absolute power to emotionally unstable teenagers? We talk first impressions, psychic breakdowns, body horror, government failure, and why Neo-Tokyo was doomed from the start. Lee experiences Akira completely unspoiled, while Kris and Pheebs revisit a movie that somehow feels more relevant (and more upsetting) every time.Join the discord: / discord
