Teen Bitten by Rabid Beaver in Park | Washington DC News
A 13-year-old boy was bitten by a rabid beaver while swimming at Cunningham Falls State Park, requiring an airlift to Johns Hopkins. Officials are now searching for other infected beavers in the area, as they groom each other and could spread the virus. All swimming and water access at the William Houck Area are shut down, while the rest of the park remains open. Report any animal encounters to Animal Control immediately.
