- 1:00Speaker 3: the His Hot Radio podcast. This is verse by verse.
- 1:04Speaker 3: This is where we go chapter by verse by verse
- 1:08Speaker 3: through the Word of God, because a word promises us
- 1:11Speaker 3: that being grafted word is able to save our souls.
- 1:16Speaker 3: And we are gonna pick up in the Book of
- 1:19Speaker 3: Jeremiah chapter fourteen today we're starting a whole new chapter.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Praise God for the honor and the privilege to be
- 1:27Speaker 3: able to go through his word and understand it. And
- 1:29Speaker 3: I don't know about you, but my life has changed
- 1:34Speaker 3: since we started these podcasts.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Really examining and looking closely into the Word of God
- 1:41Speaker 3: has been nothing but rewarding and amazing. And so let's
- 1:47Speaker 3: pick it up in chapter fourteen. And we're gonna pick
- 1:49Speaker 3: it up in verse one. So make sure you get
- 1:52Speaker 3: your Bibles, you know, pass and your highlighters and follow along.
- 1:57Speaker 3: And also here's a little tip. If you the podcast,
- 2:01Speaker 3: you know pretty much where we're going to be each
- 2:04Speaker 3: episode by where we left off from the last episode.
- 2:08Speaker 3: So go ahead and just read ahead so that you
- 2:11Speaker 3: can get the word and so that you can allow
- 2:15Speaker 3: the Holy Spirit to minister to you and speak to you.
- 2:18Speaker 3: And then when we come back together, we can get
- 2:22Speaker 3: that confirmation and we could be a blessing to each
- 2:25Speaker 3: other and we could do it like that. Also, I
- 2:30Speaker 3: want to remind you to go ahead and download the
- 2:34Speaker 3: hits Hot radio app. And the reason why you need
- 2:37Speaker 3: to download it eachhop and all platforms is so that
- 2:40Speaker 3: you can join us in the live chat. This is
- 2:44Speaker 3: where we have our accountability partner. This is where we
- 2:47Speaker 3: believe that discipleship happens. Where we can pray for each other,
- 2:53Speaker 3: we can follow up with one another, where we can
- 2:56Speaker 3: share the Word together, ask questions, and keep each other accountable.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Because one thing that I'm not gonna ever forget out
- 3:05Speaker 3: of reading the Word of God. In especially the Book
- 3:08Speaker 3: of Jeremiah. The biggest issue was they would follow the
- 3:13Speaker 3: dictates of their own hearts right, their own evil hearts.
- 3:17Speaker 3: We were not created to be our own gods, right.
- 3:20Speaker 3: We cannot just do it our own way. We need
- 3:23Speaker 3: to be renewed. We need the Word of God to
- 3:26Speaker 3: replace our own thoughts and our own desires, our own emotions,
- 3:30Speaker 3: our own feelings, because we will lead ourselves astray every time.
- 3:36Speaker 3: So having an accountability partner is someone who is able
- 3:40Speaker 3: to help us stay focused, stay balanced, and stay in
- 3:44Speaker 3: the Word. And so that's what we are building our
- 3:48Speaker 3: online community, our online discipleship. I guess you can call
- 3:53Speaker 3: it that, amen, because the Bible says that being grafted
- 3:58Speaker 3: Word is able to save our souls. Can't just be hearers,
- 4:01Speaker 3: we gotta be doers. And so that's where the accountability helps, aymen.
- 4:07Speaker 3: And that's what we offer right here on this platform.
- 4:11Speaker 3: So to log in, once you download the app, go
- 4:13Speaker 3: to the top level me and you hit that drop
- 4:15Speaker 3: down and then click on live chat and then all
- 4:19Speaker 3: you have to do is type in your using email
- 4:21Speaker 3: addressing password and we will say welcome to His High family.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Give us a shout out, and we'll shout you out
- 4:30Speaker 3: right back. We appreciate y'all. Now let's go be for
- 4:36Speaker 3: Father and prayer. Thank you, Father God, for the privilege,
- 4:40Speaker 3: for the grace, for the blessing, and for the honor,
- 4:43Speaker 3: Old God, to be good stewards over your word. Father God,
- 4:47Speaker 3: help us to rightly divide the word of truth. Oh Lord,
- 4:50Speaker 3: we ask for the grace to apply your word, Oh God,
- 4:53Speaker 3: to apply the understanding that comes with it. God, we
- 4:56Speaker 3: ask for the grace, Father God, Oh Lord, to renew
- 4:59Speaker 3: our minds. Old God, we ask Holy Spirit, that you
- 5:02Speaker 3: will move us out of the way, Holy Spirit, and
- 5:05Speaker 3: that we will be committed and devoted to you and
- 5:08Speaker 3: all things, O Lord, that we ask this, O God,
- 5:11Speaker 3: in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, Well, we're coming to
- 5:20Speaker 3: a place in scripture here where the nation is suffering
- 5:27Speaker 3: a job, a drought here in verse fourteen, circumstances are
- 5:31Speaker 3: going to be hard and difficult, but the drought is
- 5:35Speaker 3: not only physical, it's also spiritual. God will use outwardly
- 5:41Speaker 3: physical circumstances in our lives to get us to wake
- 5:45Speaker 3: up spiritually and to get us to understand things. And
- 5:49Speaker 3: so when God is correcting us, he's doing it so
- 5:52Speaker 3: that our hearts won't be hard. And we need to
- 5:54Speaker 3: respond right if we find ourselves in a difficult situation.
- 5:58Speaker 3: It could be God trying to wake you up, trying
- 6:01Speaker 3: to wake us up. I'm trying to get a message
- 6:04Speaker 3: to us right like he's doing right here in this chapter.
- 6:09Speaker 3: So we're just going to do the first ten verses today.
- 6:14Speaker 3: So let's jump into it now. It says that Judah
- 6:18Speaker 3: mourns and her gates languish. They mourn for the land,
- 6:27Speaker 3: and the city of Jerusalem has gone up. Now finally, oh,
- 6:37Speaker 3: I skipped to first. Okay, the word let's go back
- 6:39Speaker 3: to verse one, the word of the Lord that came
- 6:43Speaker 3: to Jeremiah concerning the droughts. That Judah is mourning. Now,
- 6:54Speaker 3: it would be an awesome thing if they would mourn
- 6:58Speaker 3: over their sin. You know, there is a place where
- 7:03Speaker 3: we are able to and we should very well mourn
- 7:10Speaker 3: over our life choices that have been sinful for the
- 7:15Speaker 3: simple fact that we have broken God's heart. That is
- 7:21Speaker 3: genuine repentance, and also understanding that the wages of sin
- 7:27Speaker 3: is death. Yes, that means people are going to go
- 7:33Speaker 3: to hell, and yes there should be a healthy fear
- 7:37Speaker 3: of that. I don't want anyone to go. I don't
- 7:39Speaker 3: want to go myself. But if I find myself mourning
- 7:44Speaker 3: just because of difficult circumstances. That is not true mourning,
- 7:48Speaker 3: and that is not true repentance. You're just mourning because
- 7:52Speaker 3: things are hard. They're just mourning because they are going
- 7:57Speaker 3: through a drought and things are difficult. Let's keep going,
- 8:01Speaker 3: and we'll examine this and look more into this first three.
- 8:07Speaker 3: And they cry of Jerusalem has gone up versus their
- 8:13Speaker 3: nobles have sent their lads for water. They went to
- 8:19Speaker 3: the cistrons and found no water. They returned with their
- 8:24Speaker 3: vessels empty. They were ashamed and confound it and covered
- 8:32Speaker 3: their heads. Now this is why they're mourning. Now, I
- 8:37Speaker 3: want you to see how this affect everyone. It affected
- 8:42Speaker 3: the rich people because they sent their servants out and
- 8:47Speaker 3: told them to go find water. Right, And so it
- 8:52Speaker 3: doesn't matter how much money you have in a bank.
- 8:57Speaker 3: We considered the rich and powerful people, especially our politicians,
- 9:03Speaker 3: We looked at them for help. We looked at them
- 9:05Speaker 3: and think that they could change our situations and our circumstances.
- 9:10Speaker 3: But now they're beginning to realize how helpless they truly are.
- 9:16Speaker 3: They're beginning to see how this affects every class of society.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Even the servants said that they were ashamed to come
- 9:26Speaker 3: back empty handed. Now, just think if someone hired you
- 9:32Speaker 3: to do a job. Someone hired you to complete a project,
- 9:38Speaker 3: and they paid you, they gave you the money, you
- 9:40Speaker 3: go out to do the job, but then you were
- 9:42Speaker 3: not able to deliver what you promised. Right, if you're
- 9:48Speaker 3: a man of integrity, if you take pride in your work,
- 9:51Speaker 3: that would bother you to say, you know what, I
- 9:55Speaker 3: couldn't produce what you paid for. I couldn't I was
- 9:59Speaker 3: not good at my I promised. I couldn't keep my word,
- 10:03Speaker 3: you know. And the city was desperate because they were mourning.
- 10:08Speaker 3: They're in a drought. They set their servants out and
- 10:12Speaker 3: they could not find any water and verse four because
- 10:19Speaker 3: the ground is parched, for there was no rain in
- 10:24Speaker 3: the land. The plowmen were ashamed. They they covered their heads.
- 10:31Speaker 3: So now the plowmen, or you can say the farmers,
- 10:34Speaker 3: were affected, they were discouraged, they were ashamed. Now belove it.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I believe that this is the reason why they were mourning,
- 10:46Speaker 3: not because they were heartbroken over their sin. Just think
- 10:50Speaker 3: about think about the price that Jesus paid just to
- 10:54Speaker 3: forgive us. Just think about the blood that was shed.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Think about the torture that he had to undergo. They
- 11:03Speaker 3: beat him almost to the point of death. And look
- 11:08Speaker 3: at how much God loved us to where he is
- 11:12Speaker 3: willing to pay the price for our sin, pay our penalty.
- 11:18Speaker 3: This is amazing, Beloved. If we look at the cross,
- 11:24Speaker 3: then we should see Guy's attitude about sin, and our
- 11:29Speaker 3: hearts should break. We should not be the type of
- 11:32Speaker 3: Christians that would drift away from God and return back
- 11:36Speaker 3: to our to our sin, even after the horrible price
- 11:41Speaker 3: that was paid. Now, the people here, they were crying
- 11:45Speaker 3: because circumstances got hard because the ground was parched, it
- 11:51Speaker 3: was cracked, because they couldn't plant. Even if they planted
- 11:56Speaker 3: their crop, it wouldn't grow because there was no water.
- 12:01Speaker 3: The lake was dried up, the brooks were dried up,
- 12:05Speaker 3: and they were in a place where they were under attack. Now,
- 12:08Speaker 3: Jeremiah has been proclaiming this judgment on them for a
- 12:13Speaker 3: while now, But now that at the point where they're mourning,
- 12:18Speaker 3: and they're mourning because of the consequences of their sin,
- 12:21Speaker 3: not because their heart broken over Amen. Now we see
- 12:29Speaker 3: the nobles can't do anything about it, the farmers can't
- 12:34Speaker 3: do anything about it, And it was because the ground
- 12:39Speaker 3: was parched in verse four, and no rain was in
- 12:43Speaker 3: the land, not because of their sin. Verse five. Yes,
- 12:49Speaker 3: the deeper excuse me. The deer also gave birth in
- 12:55Speaker 3: the field but left because there was no grass. Now
- 13:02Speaker 3: this is affecting the animals, the wildlife. I don't know
- 13:05Speaker 3: about you, but I like to watch different nature films,
- 13:10Speaker 3: documentary you know, the Discovery Channel channels like that. I
- 13:14Speaker 3: love nature. I love to see how the animals behave
- 13:19Speaker 3: in their natural habitat, how God designed them to function,
- 13:23Speaker 3: and how they use their instincts and how they hunt
- 13:26Speaker 3: and how they get away and all this stuff. It
- 13:30Speaker 3: intrigues me, but also just about everyone, especially the documentaries
- 13:36Speaker 3: about Africa and the Sahara Desert. Things like that, there
- 13:41Speaker 3: comes a time where the water is dried up and
- 13:45Speaker 3: the animals have to travel miles to look for water.
- 13:49Speaker 3: They have to go to certain watering holes and when
- 13:53Speaker 3: they get there, they notice that there is crowded with
- 13:56Speaker 3: other animals. But it seems as if these animals don't
- 13:59Speaker 3: really go against each other because everyone is trying to
- 14:04Speaker 3: survive because of the drought, because of the ground was
- 14:09Speaker 3: dried up. But here it says that the deer will
- 14:14Speaker 3: give birth, and they just leave their babies there because
- 14:19Speaker 3: there is no grass. There was no way for them
- 14:22Speaker 3: to nourish the new life that they just birth. How
- 14:26Speaker 3: depressing is that. And the wild donkey stood in the
- 14:31Speaker 3: desolate heights. They sniffed at the wild like jackals. Their
- 14:39Speaker 3: eyes failed because there was no grass, and so the
- 14:44Speaker 3: wildlife is affected. Now this should open up our eyes
- 14:48Speaker 3: to something beloved, that our sin will always affect others.
- 14:54Speaker 3: You're not the only one who's gonna suffer. You might say, Oh,
- 14:57Speaker 3: I'm just hurting myself, it's just gonna be me. I'm
- 15:01Speaker 3: gonna suffer the consequences. No, your sin will not just
- 15:05Speaker 3: stay to you. There's a transferring of spirits. There is
- 15:11Speaker 3: an effect of consequences that can affect your whole family line.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Your wife can be affected, your children can be affected,
- 15:20Speaker 3: your grandchildren can be affected. Because you choose to compromise,
- 15:25Speaker 3: because you choose to be disobedient, you choose to ignore
- 15:28Speaker 3: the word, and now here the animals are suffering the
- 15:33Speaker 3: effects of sin. And of course, if you want to
- 15:36Speaker 3: go further back, think about Adam and Eve when they
- 15:41Speaker 3: disobeyed God in the garden. It affected the whole human
- 15:46Speaker 3: race but not only that all creation morns engrown for
- 15:51Speaker 3: the day of redemption. Even the earth itself has been
- 15:56Speaker 3: affected by the sin of man. So hopefully that would
- 16:01Speaker 3: be a deterren for us. If we truly love our
- 16:04Speaker 3: family members and loved ones right, we would live right
- 16:09Speaker 3: before God. We need to be the example. We need
- 16:12Speaker 3: to be the foundation for which they can stand on. Amen.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Verse seven. Oh Lord, though our iniquities testify against us,
- 16:26Speaker 3: do it for your namesake, for backslidings, our many we
- 16:32Speaker 3: have sinned against you. Now here is a nation finally repenting.
- 16:40Speaker 3: But of course we know, because we are good students
- 16:43Speaker 3: of the Bible, that the repentance was not true, because
- 16:50Speaker 3: a nation ended up going into exile. Anyway, even though
- 16:55Speaker 3: this statement came out, even though they said our iniquities
- 17:00Speaker 3: testify against us, they see and they knowledge that their
- 17:06Speaker 3: sin finally is experiencing consequences. The wages of sin is death.
- 17:15Speaker 3: If you don't remember anything else, remember that the next
- 17:18Speaker 3: time you want to go sin, the next time we
- 17:20Speaker 3: want to backslide, the wages of sin is death. Now
- 17:24Speaker 3: their iniquities testified against them, right, and they're asking do
- 17:30Speaker 3: it for your namesake? Now there's an element of truth
- 17:34Speaker 3: to that. Right, once we truly lay down our lives,
- 17:38Speaker 3: and once we truly realize that it's not about us
- 17:42Speaker 3: that God wants to gain the glory through your life. Amen.
- 17:47Speaker 3: And you have a life submitted to God, not just
- 17:50Speaker 3: going to church, in just hearing the word, but not
- 17:54Speaker 3: applying it to your life. But you truly want to
- 17:57Speaker 3: submit and give your heart, your everything to God. Then
- 18:01Speaker 3: you're more concerned about His glory than your own selfish pleasures. Right.
- 18:08Speaker 3: That's where we need to be. That's what we need
- 18:10Speaker 3: to strive for. And I'm not saying I'm there all
- 18:12Speaker 3: the way, but I'm in the process. Amen. I'm not
- 18:15Speaker 3: where I used to be, and I know that God
- 18:19Speaker 3: has more for me in my walk. Amen. But here's
- 18:26Speaker 3: the thing. They are experiencing the consequences of their sin.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Their iniquities testify against them, for backslidings are many. Now
- 18:40Speaker 3: they acknowledge that they have a lot in many backslidings.
- 18:45Speaker 3: That is the sad human condition. We see this in
- 18:50Speaker 3: the church today. The Bible tells us that in the
- 18:53Speaker 3: last days there will be a great falling away. And
- 18:58Speaker 3: I want to give you a shout out praise God.
- 19:00Speaker 3: If you are even listening and following to this podcast,
- 19:03Speaker 3: because this means that, for one, you're hungry for the word,
- 19:07Speaker 3: You're hungry to dig in and get a greater understanding.
- 19:11Speaker 3: For two, that you're hungry for the truth, that you
- 19:14Speaker 3: don't want to fall away. As long as you keep
- 19:17Speaker 3: your face and we behold the truth, the truth will
- 19:20Speaker 3: be an anchor for our lives. But once we begin
- 19:24Speaker 3: to follow the dictates of our own hearts, that's where
- 19:28Speaker 3: we get in trouble. Right, we need to renew our
- 19:30Speaker 3: mind daily. And so the backslightings were many, lost another
- 19:36Speaker 3: one and they confess we have sinned. Ver say, oh,
- 19:42Speaker 3: the Hope of Israel, his savior, and time of trouble,
- 19:52Speaker 3: why should you be like a stranger to the land
- 19:56Speaker 3: and like a traveler who turns aside to terry for
- 20:02Speaker 3: a night? So they call God the Hope of Israel
- 20:06Speaker 3: here and they acknowledge that he's the savior in time
- 20:10Speaker 3: of trouble, And they asked, why should you be like
- 20:15Speaker 3: a stranger in the land. They're asking, why should you
- 20:19Speaker 3: turn your face from us? Now they're crying out to God.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Now is this genuine repentance? Like I said, no, we
- 20:27Speaker 3: could tell this not because there's not a heartbreak. Do
- 20:32Speaker 3: you read or detect a heartbreak here anywhere in the
- 20:35Speaker 3: people that they're broken. No, they're basically asking him to
- 20:41Speaker 3: be their superhero. They're asking him to come and rescue them,
- 20:46Speaker 3: come and save him from the circumstances and the consequences.
- 20:53Speaker 3: There's a difference, beloved, when we're sorrowful because of our
- 20:56Speaker 3: consequences over being truly repented over it, being broken hearted.
- 21:03Speaker 3: The Bible says a broken and contrite heart, a broken spirit,
- 21:07Speaker 3: and a contriste heart. God will not turn away. But
- 21:12Speaker 3: they're not broken. They're trying to say, hey, come and
- 21:14Speaker 3: rescue us, you know, come and bring water, Come and
- 21:18Speaker 3: deliver us from this army. You know, you are the
- 21:21Speaker 3: hope of Israel. So of course they know their history.
- 21:26Speaker 3: They know that their forefathers were in situations before and
- 21:31Speaker 3: God delivered them. And pretty much heard this story. They're
- 21:35Speaker 3: probably referring to Moses and the Red Sea where God
- 21:40Speaker 3: parted the Red Sea on their behalf. They know of
- 21:43Speaker 3: the God of Israel, they know who their hope is,
- 21:46Speaker 3: but at this point he is acting like a stranger
- 21:51Speaker 3: to them and like a traverer who turns aside in
- 21:55Speaker 3: terry's for a night. Why should you be like a man,
- 22:01Speaker 3: like a mighty one who cannot save. Yet, you, oh Lord,
- 22:08Speaker 3: are in our mist and we are called by your name.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Do not leave us. Amen? Now again, do you find
- 22:25Speaker 3: repentance anywhere in what you read? Basically, they're almost like
- 22:31Speaker 3: blaming God here. Now this was a very religious cry
- 22:38Speaker 3: because they're saying, because we are called by your name,
- 22:42Speaker 3: And that's almost like saying, well, because I go to church,
- 22:46Speaker 3: I should be blessed. Because I go to church, I
- 22:48Speaker 3: should automatically go to heaven because I do outreach, or
- 22:53Speaker 3: because I show it up to Bible study. And even
- 22:56Speaker 3: worse yet, I've talked to people who say that they
- 22:59Speaker 3: got family members who are ministers. I got a family
- 23:03Speaker 3: member who's a prophet. I got a family member who's
- 23:06Speaker 3: been My family's been in the ministry for years. And
- 23:10Speaker 3: so that particular person thinks that that excuses them from
- 23:15Speaker 3: repentance and living a life unto God. We need to
- 23:20Speaker 3: pray for people like this. Just because your family members
- 23:24Speaker 3: saved does not mean you get to make it into
- 23:27Speaker 3: the Kingdom. You have to repent and you have to
- 23:30Speaker 3: serve God for yourself. Amen. And it says here that
- 23:36Speaker 3: you are in our mist. Now, let's break this down.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Why should you be like a man astonished, like a
- 23:44Speaker 3: mighty one who cannot save right? They're saying this, and
- 23:49Speaker 3: they're asking the question why when Jeremiah has been telling them,
- 23:53Speaker 3: why this whole time they haven't acknowledged their sin. They
- 23:58Speaker 3: haven't acknowledged their iniquity see the consequences of it. Then
- 24:03Speaker 3: it says, yeah, you, oh Lord, are in our mist now.
- 24:08Speaker 3: For the simple fact that they said that means that
- 24:11Speaker 3: they really don't understand sin and the consequences of it.
- 24:16Speaker 3: God is a holy God, He is a righteous judge.
- 24:21Speaker 3: God requires us to live holy lives, and he requires
- 24:26Speaker 3: the work of sanctification, sanctified. He wants us set apart
- 24:30Speaker 3: from the world, and for them to acknowledge their backsliding
- 24:36Speaker 3: and to acknowledge their iniquity, and for them to say
- 24:41Speaker 3: that He is in their mist. Sin will always break
- 24:44Speaker 3: our fellowship and beloved, I've always been good enough with
- 24:50Speaker 3: being related to God, and I have not strived like
- 24:53Speaker 3: in my early years of salvation. I've always had a
- 24:57Speaker 3: heart to outreach, and I had a heart to evange
- 25:00Speaker 3: lies and get the message out and do a lot
- 25:02Speaker 3: of things for God. But I struggled with my prayer life.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I've struggled with being consistent with the word. I'm being transparent.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Belove it, especially when you know, when I was a
- 25:14Speaker 3: new convert growing up, our church was always on the move.
- 25:17Speaker 3: They always taught us to outreach and things like that.
- 25:20Speaker 3: But God wants us to stand still and to sit
- 25:24Speaker 3: at his feet. God wants us to get to know Him,
- 25:30Speaker 3: and he wants us to be sanctified and set a party.
- 25:33Speaker 3: He wants our fellowship, and our sin will always break
- 25:37Speaker 3: that fellowship. So they're saying that he's in the midst,
- 25:40Speaker 3: but they have sin and iniquity. God is not in
- 25:44Speaker 3: the midst of that. And we are called by your name.
- 25:49Speaker 3: You know, that's just being religious now. Verse ten, Thus
- 25:52Speaker 3: says a Lord to this people. Thus they have love
- 25:58Speaker 3: to wonder. That's the issue right there. Highlight that in
- 26:01Speaker 3: your Bible they have not restrained their feet. Therefore the
- 26:09Speaker 3: Lord does not accept them. He will remember their iniquity
- 26:15Speaker 3: now and punish their sins. Now. That should shake us
- 26:24Speaker 3: to the core. That was devastating. Now let me ask
- 26:31Speaker 3: you this, as we are good studies, good students of
- 26:37Speaker 3: the Word, of God. Haven't we read stories in the
- 26:41Speaker 3: Bible where when a people or a nation turned and repented,
- 26:48Speaker 3: that God withheld judgment from that nation or the individual.
- 26:54Speaker 3: There were wicked kings, like King Ahab was one of
- 26:57Speaker 3: the most wicked kings in Judah, but when he repented,
- 27:01Speaker 3: God says that I will not judge him, but I
- 27:04Speaker 3: will judge his descendants because he turned. Think about the
- 27:09Speaker 3: story of Jonah and Ninevah where Jonah didn't even want
- 27:14Speaker 3: to go to Ninevah because he knew that God was
- 27:16Speaker 3: a gracious God. And when he preached to that city,
- 27:23Speaker 3: the king all the way down to the animals, fasted him,
- 27:27Speaker 3: put on sackcloth and ashes. And what was his response.
- 27:31Speaker 3: He withheld judgment to that generation. They did not see
- 27:36Speaker 3: the judgment of God. Now, why would God treat Judah
- 27:41Speaker 3: any different? If this was true repentance, Why wouldn't he
- 27:46Speaker 3: turn from his judgment? Why wouldn't he turn from his wrath?
- 27:51Speaker 3: The issue is they have loved to wonder. It's not
- 27:56Speaker 3: the fact that they straight away and walked away from
- 27:59Speaker 3: God and they made a mistake or they didn't understand
- 28:03Speaker 3: what they were doing. No, they kept walking away from
- 28:06Speaker 3: God because they enjoyed it now. I hope that this
- 28:13Speaker 3: will be one of the most transparent episodes in this series.
- 28:21Speaker 3: We sin because we enjoy it. The Bible says that
- 28:26Speaker 3: sin is fun for a season. It acknowledges that it's fun,
- 28:33Speaker 3: but it's temporary pleasure, and so we have to examine
- 28:39Speaker 3: our hearts. We have to ask the hard questions. Do
- 28:44Speaker 3: I sin because I love my sin more than I
- 28:48Speaker 3: love God. I love my sin more than I love
- 28:52Speaker 3: to fellowship in God's presence more than I love his
- 28:57Speaker 3: blessings and his joy. His peace is life of our
- 29:01Speaker 3: sin can rip us off. We can develop desires that
- 29:07Speaker 3: are sinful. That's why we can't put too much stock
- 29:11Speaker 3: in our own hearts. Once an evil thought comes into
- 29:15Speaker 3: our hearts and minds, we have to immediately cast it down.
- 29:18Speaker 3: God has given us the authority to do so, because
- 29:23Speaker 3: if we dwell on that thought, it becomes a desire.
- 29:27Speaker 3: And once it becomes a desire, it is difficult to
- 29:30Speaker 3: resist that temptation. That's why our prayer life is so important,
- 29:35Speaker 3: because our prayer life helps us to guard against temptation,
- 29:40Speaker 3: and man, we need to cry out to God when
- 29:43Speaker 3: we're tempted. God says blessed are blessed are those who
- 29:48Speaker 3: endure temptation because they will receive the crown of life.
- 29:52Speaker 3: But if you don't deal with that evil thought, and
- 29:56Speaker 3: it becomes an evil desire, because James says that we
- 29:59Speaker 3: are drawn away way because of our desires, and then
- 30:02Speaker 3: when we give into it, it brings forth death. When
- 30:07Speaker 3: sin is full grown, it brings forth death. So there's
- 30:11Speaker 3: a process in each and every one of us. And
- 30:13Speaker 3: the point is we could stop it right at the beginning.
- 30:17Speaker 3: And I'm almost like, I examine my thoughts. I know
- 30:24Speaker 3: when an evil thought comes into my head, right. And
- 30:30Speaker 3: this is something that we have to be diligent because
- 30:32Speaker 3: at times we can forget right. At times we can
- 30:35Speaker 3: sit there and get lazy and just let our thoughts
- 30:38Speaker 3: go wherever they want to go. But God commands us
- 30:42Speaker 3: to bring our thoughts captive because the battle is in
- 30:46Speaker 3: our mind. The Bible tells us to guard our hearts
- 30:48Speaker 3: with all diligence. Out of it are there eaches of life.
- 30:51Speaker 3: We need to have all diligence to guard our hearts.
- 30:55Speaker 3: That is the battlefield. God wants us to be renewed
- 30:59Speaker 3: in our heart arts, but Satan wants to plant evil
- 31:02Speaker 3: thoughts and plant wicked seeds, wicked desires in us. And
- 31:06Speaker 3: it can come from the lust of our flesh, the
- 31:09Speaker 3: things we see, the lust of our eyes. I mean
- 31:12Speaker 3: the lust of the eyes, the things we see. We
- 31:15Speaker 3: gotta be careful what we look at, the lust of
- 31:17Speaker 3: our flesh, our desires. That's why we need to practice
- 31:21Speaker 3: a life of fasting. We fast every Tuesday from sixty
- 31:26Speaker 3: six if anyone would like to join us on the
- 31:29Speaker 3: podcast just from sixty six. I don't eat nothing but water,
- 31:34Speaker 3: or I don't eat nothing but drink water. We don't
- 31:36Speaker 3: eat water. But you know what I'm saying, And it's
- 31:39Speaker 3: actually our pastor and our church, our whole church does
- 31:42Speaker 3: it at Fresh Winding Community Church. And I want to
- 31:45Speaker 3: extend the invitation to y'all if y'all would like to
- 31:48Speaker 3: do so. It's a good discipline helps us to bring
- 31:52Speaker 3: our flesh into submission and subjection right, and so we're
- 31:58Speaker 3: supposed to live a life in this spirit where we
- 32:01Speaker 3: master our flesh, our desires, our thoughts. And the pride
- 32:06Speaker 3: of life is how we fall too. We can become
- 32:09Speaker 3: prideful because of status, or we think we're better than others,
- 32:12Speaker 3: or we think we're independent, we don't need nobody. Things
- 32:17Speaker 3: like that. The pride of life can be deadly if
- 32:22Speaker 3: we choose to go down those pass amen. But because
- 32:28Speaker 3: they love to sin, the Lord says he will remember
- 32:33Speaker 3: their iniquity now. So that's terrifying because he's saying that, yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 3: I've been waiting, but now is the time for me
- 32:45Speaker 3: to punish you, and I'm gonna remember your iniquities, and
- 32:50Speaker 3: I will punish their sins. Now. I want you to
- 32:55Speaker 3: really look at that for a second. Punish their sins
- 33:01Speaker 3: on the day of judgment. And I pray beloved that
- 33:04Speaker 3: none of us will be before the Great White Throne judgment,
- 33:10Speaker 3: because that is the judgment where sinners will be punished
- 33:15Speaker 3: and thrown into the lake of fire. But the Bible
- 33:19Speaker 3: always tells us that I will judge them according to
- 33:22Speaker 3: their deeds. So it's according to your deed to whatever
- 33:27Speaker 3: type of sin that you're participating in will be the
- 33:32Speaker 3: type of judgment that you will receive in eternity. So,
- 33:37Speaker 3: for instance, if you are a gossiper, now look up
- 33:44Speaker 3: these near death experiences. I believe in a lot of
- 33:49Speaker 3: these testimonies because it lines up with the Word, and
- 33:52Speaker 3: there was a guy who said that he saw a
- 33:55Speaker 3: woman in hell being tortured and tormented and a torturing demon.
- 34:02Speaker 3: For every human there's enough like everyone gets a sign
- 34:07Speaker 3: a torturing devil. Why am I saying this is because
- 34:10Speaker 3: hopefully this will deter you from going to that place.
- 34:14Speaker 3: There would be a devil assign to each lost soul.
- 34:18Speaker 3: That could be you, that could be me. If we
- 34:20Speaker 3: don't stay faithful to Christ. Amen, we choose to go
- 34:24Speaker 3: our own way and serve our own desires, whatever that
- 34:28Speaker 3: is will be the punishment. Now, he said that this
- 34:32Speaker 3: woman was a gossiper, for instance, And he said that
- 34:35Speaker 3: this demon reached into her mouth and pulled out her tongue,
- 34:39Speaker 3: just like in cartoons. The tongue just stretched real long, right,
- 34:44Speaker 3: because we gossip with our tongues. Then he got like
- 34:48Speaker 3: this hammer and nail and so that he could basically
- 34:55Speaker 3: drive the nail into her tongue. But he said that
- 34:59Speaker 3: this demon's spirit was not even trying to hit the nail.
- 35:03Speaker 3: He was just tearing the woman up, breaking her teeth,
- 35:06Speaker 3: like smashing her head and doing all kind of ungodly things.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Imagine being tortured like that for all eternity, because you
- 35:14Speaker 3: choose to be a gossiper. We will be judged according
- 35:20Speaker 3: to their deeds. Arts very sends themselves will assign your
- 35:25Speaker 3: punishment and torture and hell. There was another testimony that
- 35:29Speaker 3: said Ladies says she saw Michael Jackson in hell, and
- 35:33Speaker 3: she said that these demons were making him dance, and
- 35:37Speaker 3: whenever he would get tired and didn't want to dance,
- 35:39Speaker 3: they would throw colds of fire at him and he
- 35:42Speaker 3: had to keep dancing, and they kept mocking them, and
- 35:45Speaker 3: they were just like and they're like, that's that was
- 35:47Speaker 3: his torture. Now we know Michael was a devil worshiper.
- 35:51Speaker 3: He used to do rituals or whatever for his fame,
- 35:54Speaker 3: his fortune, to learn new dances. And we see a
- 35:58Speaker 3: lot of the celebrities doing it to day. We need
- 36:00Speaker 3: to pray for them, Amen, but he will punish their sins.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I pray belove it that if we have a heart
- 36:16Speaker 3: that loves to wonder, that loves to go astray, that
- 36:21Speaker 3: loves iniquity rather than God, I pray that by the
- 36:24Speaker 3: end of this podcast, we will have new hearts and
- 36:28Speaker 3: our desires will change. Let's take a break.
- 36:33Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 36:36Speaker 5: is the hiss hop radio shown.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Look why they act like God only available on a Sunday.
- 37:05Speaker 6: No fear of God. It ain't heart.
- 37:07Speaker 4: This the land of the brave. This the land of
- 37:09Speaker 4: the thought and the gangster. Who might just plot on
- 37:11Speaker 4: a wainstand and blame God when they locked in a cage,
- 37:15Speaker 4: just the landed of rebellious and disobedient America. And saw
- 37:18Speaker 4: im cooking with the same ingredients.
- 37:20Speaker 6: Agabore, yet ain't noalizing her. A brother said he gonna
- 37:24Speaker 6: kill a brother, and they played on Pandora.
- 37:27Speaker 4: The sister says, she's gonna self a body for some change.
- 37:30Speaker 4: And when I talk about it, they look at me strange,
- 37:32Speaker 4: like want you I hate a judgment?
- 37:34Speaker 6: Who you on? Love your people? It's just that I
- 37:36Speaker 6: love God good? He said that he ain't evil?
- 37:38Speaker 4: And who have told these Christians that we got to
- 37:40Speaker 4: conform to the Great Commission? Because I promise you that
- 37:43Speaker 4: wasn't God's intentions. And who done told these religious traditions
- 37:46Speaker 4: folk too good for the mission folk, that they in
- 37:49Speaker 4: some high and mighty position. We all need God, we
- 37:52Speaker 4: all need saving, But that ain't chasing the sin that
- 37:55Speaker 4: is slave.
- 37:56Speaker 6: You say we need God by God. That's Jesus, the Way,
- 38:00Speaker 6: the Truth, the light, the only key to the kingdom.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Are we like she have gone astray?
- 38:06Speaker 4: We have turned everyone to his own way, the lads
- 38:09Speaker 4: not upon him, the nicoldie of us all.
- 38:12Speaker 6: That's why he's the only way.
- 38:28Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 38:32Speaker 5: is the hiss hop radio show.
- 38:51Speaker 3: All right, beloved, we are back from the break that
- 38:54Speaker 3: was Our sister child likes cc amen giving us that
- 39:01Speaker 3: music on our musical break right there. Make sure you
- 39:05Speaker 3: check out her YouTube page. Check her out. We'd like
- 39:09Speaker 3: to support those who are on the front lines, those
- 39:12Speaker 3: who are keeping it real in the kingdom. Amen. It's
- 39:17Speaker 3: kind of hard to find them sometimes because a lot
- 39:21Speaker 3: of people fall to the wayside. But praise God for
- 39:25Speaker 3: those who are staying faithful and those who have true
- 39:30Speaker 3: repentance in their hearts. Amen. I want to also give
- 39:33Speaker 3: a shout out to our live chat, shout out to
- 39:36Speaker 3: our brother's own three, and a shout out to missus
- 39:40Speaker 3: his house. She's been jumping in there. She's been challenging
- 39:47Speaker 3: our brother's own. He was actually dethrowned for a couple
- 39:50Speaker 3: of days there. Hey man, we'd like to have a fun,
- 39:53Speaker 3: little friendly competition. But she also told me, look, make
- 39:58Speaker 3: these is more challenging, right, the trivia questions. So we
- 40:03Speaker 3: got to try to up our game on it because
- 40:06Speaker 3: she says she's gonna get bored if we don't. So
- 40:09Speaker 3: hopefully today will be a little more challenging for him.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Let's go ahead and go into our accountability, partner. I
- 40:19Speaker 3: see more and more how valuable this is as we
- 40:21Speaker 3: go through these podcasts. Because a nation of Judah, they
- 40:26Speaker 3: had fake repentance and God said that he was gonna
- 40:30Speaker 3: remember their sin and punish them. Right, we got. God
- 40:34Speaker 3: wants honesty. God wants us to be real with them. Amen,
- 40:37Speaker 3: And that's one of the things we need. Sometimes we
- 40:40Speaker 3: have blind spots, and so it's very helpful to have
- 40:43Speaker 3: someone in your life that will hold you accountable. Now,
- 40:48Speaker 3: the challenge today is ask your partner, have you noticed
- 40:52Speaker 3: any area where I've been spiritually complacent or dependent on
- 40:58Speaker 3: things other than God? Right? Have you been spiritually complacent
- 41:05Speaker 3: or have you been depending on other things? You think
- 41:09Speaker 3: it's your job that will provide for you, when God
- 41:13Speaker 3: was the one who gave you that job. Do you
- 41:16Speaker 3: think it's your gifts you're talent, us, your ability, and
- 41:19Speaker 3: God is the one who gave us those things. We
- 41:21Speaker 3: need to get closer to God and we need to
- 41:24Speaker 3: seek his will in certain matters and all matters actually,
- 41:30Speaker 3: to pray together specifically for renewed passion and faithfulness. God
- 41:36Speaker 3: is looking for faithfulness in our lives, right amen. God
- 41:43Speaker 3: wants us to be the good and faithful servants. Also,
- 41:49Speaker 3: we wanted you to know that his Hot Radio is
- 41:52Speaker 3: a monitored and a reporting radio station. And we don't
- 41:56Speaker 3: just play music over the internet. We chart, we monitor,
- 42:00Speaker 3: we report, we collect spend data. That means every time
- 42:07Speaker 3: your song is played, it gets reported. We have three
- 42:11Speaker 3: charts that we report. To get that exposure you need
- 42:15Speaker 3: and submit your music, just go to our website his
- 42:18Speaker 3: hootnation dot com to check out our promo packages. Advertising
- 42:25Speaker 3: will help you get the exposure that you need. And
- 42:36Speaker 3: man and man, now it's time for the trivia. Now,
- 42:41Speaker 3: let's see, we're trying to up our game a little bit.
- 42:43Speaker 3: We're trying to up all right, So this is a
- 42:46Speaker 3: form Missus his Hot We're trying to make it a
- 42:48Speaker 3: little more challenging. Now, what natural disaster had come up
- 42:59Speaker 3: on dah What natural disaster they come up on Judah
- 43:11Speaker 3: because during this podcast we mentioned that they were suffering
- 43:18Speaker 3: the consequences of their iniquity and they were suffering in
- 43:25Speaker 3: the physical. So the first one to get the right
- 43:31Speaker 3: answer in to post it wins and becomes a trivia
- 43:36Speaker 3: champ for today. Also give me feedback, let me know.
- 43:40Speaker 3: If you want some more, we can make them harder.
- 43:43Speaker 3: But if you want more challenging questions like this is
- 43:47Speaker 3: his hop, we can do that, all right, love it.
- 43:58Speaker 3: It's time for our community shout out. This is where
- 44:00Speaker 3: we give updates about our ministry and the things that
- 44:04Speaker 3: we got going. This Saturday coming up is our back
- 44:07Speaker 3: to School event. We will be at fresh Wind Community
- 44:12Speaker 3: Church off of Gowen in Rancho, fresh Wind Community Church.
- 44:19Speaker 3: We're gonna have backpacks and backpack supplies. We're gonna be
- 44:25Speaker 3: packing it out for people. We're going to be supporting
- 44:29Speaker 3: people our children who need school supplies. They need items
- 44:33Speaker 3: and things so that they can go back to school
- 44:35Speaker 3: and be ready. It's going to be an all day event.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Also mark your calendar for August twenty ninth. August twenty
- 44:47Speaker 3: ninth is going to be an event at the Resort World.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Yours truly I will be on the ones and twos
- 44:56Speaker 3: bringing the music it's gonna be. It's more of a
- 45:03Speaker 3: business not necessarily a Christian hip hop concert. Is more
- 45:05Speaker 3: like a business mixer event. And we need to make
- 45:09Speaker 3: great connections and we need to network with other like
- 45:12Speaker 3: minded business owners. So I believe that this will be.
- 45:16Speaker 3: There will be great value here. If you guys would
- 45:21Speaker 3: like to show up and be a part of that,
- 45:25Speaker 3: hit us up and let us know. We'd love to
- 45:28Speaker 3: see you there. The last, but not least, We're gonna
- 45:38Speaker 3: let you know that His Hot Nation is a nonprofit organization.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Five oh one Seed three. We opened up a Christian
- 45:46Speaker 3: club back in twenty twelve. We were able to operate
- 45:50Speaker 3: it and minister to our community for seven years, and
- 45:53Speaker 3: we want to get back to that. We need a
- 45:54Speaker 3: new building, a new location. Right before COVID the building
- 46:01Speaker 3: shut down. We had to shut the move out in
- 46:04Speaker 3: twenty eighteen. It wasn't because of COVID, it was because
- 46:09Speaker 3: of other issues issues in my life. I was compromised.
- 46:13Speaker 3: I will emit, but I've repented since then and I'm
- 46:18Speaker 3: praying that God will use me even better and stronger.
- 46:24Speaker 3: So if you like to, so on to good ground.
- 46:26Speaker 3: You like to see that it is a valuable thing
- 46:29Speaker 3: to have a Christian hip hop club in our community.
- 46:35Speaker 3: You would ask that you would go to our website
- 46:37Speaker 3: his Hot nation dot com and donate there, or download
- 46:41Speaker 3: the his Hot Radio app HP on all platforms and
- 46:47Speaker 3: you can donate there as well. Or you can check
- 46:50Speaker 3: out our nonprofit website, his Hot nation dot org and
- 46:56Speaker 3: it is tax deductible. You can write it off. It
- 47:01Speaker 3: is official. All right, beloved, As we close it out,
- 47:10Speaker 3: we have a reflection question, and we're gonna have some
- 47:14Speaker 3: closing remarks and we're gonna pray out together, and so
- 47:21Speaker 3: are reflection. That's the tongue twist. A reflection question is
- 47:25Speaker 3: are you seeking God because you truly love him? Are
- 47:31Speaker 3: only because you're hoping he'll remove a difficult circumstance from
- 47:35Speaker 3: your life. If you truly love him, you would be
- 47:40Speaker 3: heartbroken over the sin in your life. It would break
- 47:49Speaker 3: your heart to break his amen. Spend some time praying
- 47:54Speaker 3: honestly about that question. Just pray about it. Ask the
- 47:59Speaker 3: Lord that's holy spirit. God will change our desires. That's
- 48:03Speaker 3: the blessing, Beloved, God will give us a new heart.
- 48:08Speaker 3: We don't have to be stuck in that old wretched heart. Amen. Now,
- 48:15Speaker 3: Jeremiah fourteen reminds us that spiritual drought often begins long
- 48:20Speaker 3: before we recognize it. Right, the nation of Judah didn't
- 48:24Speaker 3: fall overnight. It drifted away from God, one compromise at
- 48:30Speaker 3: a time. Yet even in the midst of judgment, God's
- 48:34Speaker 3: heart was clear he longed for his people to return. Now,
- 48:42Speaker 3: the same imitation is extended to us today. If we
- 48:49Speaker 3: don't miss out, if we continue to reject God, our
- 48:53Speaker 3: hearts will grow cold and heart towards him, and we
- 48:56Speaker 3: don't want that. Don't wait intil life falls apart to
