- Clint: Hey. Yeah. Daniel: All right, Clint, I G that was that was terrible. Clint: Terrible. Daniel: That was It wasn't one of the wor it wasn't the worst Georgia game I've ever seen. That's for darn sure. Clint: No, because we saw South Carolina coming to our place. We saw on the road to Missouri. We saw Alabama coming Daniel: Mm-hmm. Clint: to our place. We've seen others, but I will tell you this. this one stings a whole hell of a lot. Daniel: It's it comes as a legitimate shock. I spent all last week, Clint, saying and believing that this Alabama game showed me that this team is different than the last couple of years. Clint: That's why it stings people. Daniel: Because this looks a lot like the last couple of years. Clint: In the last couple of years, let me remind you what the last couple of years were. Inept Daniel: Go ahead. Clint: QB play, throwing interceptions. Whoops. Daniel: Oof, okay. Check. Clint: Defense not being able to tackle and get out off the field on third down. Soft, Charmin soft. Daniel: Soft. Soft. Clint: Whoops. Mistake prone, muffing a punt, fumbling, turnovers, boneheaded penalties, coming off an all time when Do you know do you realize now, Georgia fan, that Alabama feels so good about their season? Whatever happens, because they get to Daniel: Well Clint: say, We're your Super Bowl, Georgia. You came in, you got high and mighty, you needed the rest. Now look what happened to you. Now look what happened to you. That's Daniel: Yeah, we lost to Tennessee. no, Auburn, it was Auburn. We lost to Auburn, sorry. Alabama lost to Tennessee. Clint: Auburn, Tennessee did. But you can't take that from the We this team, my freaking word, was soft. The underbelly was there. It was this was a you can call it one game if you want, but this was reminiscent of last year's team and two years ago teams so stinking much, Daniel. Daniel: Clint, we're gonna do three things that we need to see Georgia do during this bye week in order to Clint: Mm-hmm. Daniel: get the season back on track. Okay? Just high level. We'll get we'll get into this more later this week. Three things. I I'm gonna start with the first one. The first one is sleep. Clint: Yeah. Daniel: It's not Georgia needs to rest. Georgia needs to recover. Georgia needs to get guys healthy. Georgia needs to figure out what's going on neurologically with Gunnar Stockton and try to put an Clint: Hint Daniel: end to it. Clint: please don't put in a cat scan. Daniel: It was it's not gonna look favorable for the decision making. Clint: It's going to come back where Puglisi is starting in the cocktail. Daniel: Georgia needs to figure out how to recover physically because clearly, Clint, they are a shell of who they need to be physically in order Clint: shall Daniel: to compete with anyone in this in this league. Anyone. Clint: Anyone. Vanderbilt, Mizzou, Florida, you name the team, we can't compete with the physicality that we had this today. Can't. Impossible. Daniel: No. No. So that's the fur that's the first thing we need to see going into the bye week. What is the second thing we need to see? Clint: like look, Nate Frazier was not a hundred percent. I wish he didn't go. Let me look, we needed him to be a hundred percent, we needed him to go, we needed him to play. He played, he wasn't a hundred percent, and he was a liability. Like just a a cornerback puts a help he goes down. That that's not the Nate Frazier that we knew. Bo Walker would have been more effective in this game, but because Nate was cleared to go and because he was there, we had to keep giving him the rock. Dwight Phillips was more effective. Bo Walker would have been more effective. Nate Frazier was not effective. Our offensive line was fine. It it wasn't the problem. Okay. But we were clearly beat up. We we weren't as dominating as we were against Alabama. That is for dang sure. Okay. I our defensive. Linebackers and defensive line and KJ Bolden, whatever's happening in that boot of yours, my friend, it the answer is in some sort of pharmaceutical that is given as offered to you. That's the Daniel: Yeah, it's that. Clint: answer is in that, my friend. Because Daniel: It's in something. Clint: The second biggest pro thing that we need, not only do we need to sleep, we need to get healthy, we need to get whole this bi week. The second thing we need to do. And I've been saying this for years. And I legitimately, some high level person, somebody smarter than me, you tell me why these Daniel: Mm-hmm. Clint: two appendages on the side of my torso cannot come with me as I tackle somebody. You tell me while we can't Daniel: What Yeah, I mean Clint: be physical, even when we're hurt and we can't. Tackle when we're not our best. If we gave 75%, if we gave 70%, 65%, we would have been okay in this game. We gave less than 50% of effort. We gave left less than 50% on tackling. We gave less than 50% on physicality. I guys gritted it out. Sure, sure. You can say that all you want. But we have Mentally, when talk about being disciplined mentally, that's the second thing that needs disciplined mentally. I mean when you're not at your fullest, Chris Cole, Justin Williams, Rashawn Dinkins. Daniel: Mm-hmm. Clint: If you give 70% but you bring disciplined and you wrap up when you're tackling, it buys some times Daniel: Uhhuh. Clint: for other guys to come. And if you don't have your fastball, maybe your changeup can work. Maybe a little bit of location works. Daniel: Something something. Clint: This defense was charming soft, and I need to see discipline mentally coming out of this bye week. And if you want to go ahead and if I hear one freaking idiot tell me on a post-game interview or an interview midweek, well, we were beat up from Alabama, shove it. Just shove it. I it's hard. I get it. I understand. That is truth. It is truth to say. We were beat up physically. It was a Daunting grueling schedule. We came out of Alabama, went on the road, we beat them in Tuscaloosa. All of that is true is a great win. But if you gave 65% and you brought your arms with tackling, we wouldn't be where we're at right now, bemoaning a loss to freaking options. Daniel: Yeah. It's it's mental as much as it is physical. Like Clint: That's it. Daniel: that is I I think that is absolutely true. So those are the first two things. The third thing is schematic. It's not really schematic. It's more developmental. Clint: Yeah. Daniel: We got an off week here. Okay? K J Bolden ain't gonna be doing any practicing, I'll tell ya that. He gonna be in a boot. Clint: he's in a boot. He's on a freaking scooter with one a leg on up in the air at a 90 degree just coasting around. Daniel: But let me tell you this. This Georgia coaching staff had better get somebody ready to be some depth. Because you said if the fastball's not working, go to the changeup. Well, here's the problem, Clint. Sometimes Clint: What is that? Daniel: the changeup's not working and you gotta go to the bullpen. But Georgia doesn't have a daggum bullpen. They ain't got nobody to come in. Clint: His name's Jamari Riddle and he's cheeks. Daniel: He's really bad. Georgia's got Clint: Really bad. Daniel: two I don't care if it's Zion Branch. I don't care if it's Riddle. I don't care if it's Kyron Jones coming back from the dead on Halloween. Georgia better get somebody ready. I'm not saying KJ's gonna miss more time, but you can't have five D Bs and win a championship. And that's all Georgia's got. Clint: You can't have the if KJ has a a dead leg, Charlie Horse, and he goes down and he can't get up in time for the snap, and the rest call a timeout for injury, he has to go off for a play. That one play might become second and twenty-six, in which somebody hits a seam route for a touchdown to beat us. Daniel: Yeah. The rest of the secondary is so bad, Clinton. Clint: awful. Daniel: They are playing so poorly. Georgia's got to develop some guys in the secondary. We knew secondary depth was going to be an issue. And there's Clint: We did. Daniel: no miracle pills to be taken during the bye week. But this coaching staff prides themselves on player development. It's Clint: Okay. Daniel: time we got to start seeing some guys come along. Clint: Prove it. Daniel: Because there's nothing there right now. This secondary, beyond its starting five, is as bad as you could ever want. Clint: Literally. I I'm talking guys that are a huge li we use the name Dirty Dan Jackson so much and people want to use it disparagingly and people want to blame and shift blame on other people. Look, glenn Schumann, everybody's talking about Glenn Schumann needing to get out of Glenn Schumann's biggest problem is that he didn't develop a second or third guy. That's his biggest problem. That's Kirby's biggest problem. Play calling was not the issue on Sunday. They had him. Jamari Riddle didn't know. Literally, everyone else, all 10 guys operating in unison, one guy lets a freaking tight end go across the middle for an eight-yard pickup and a first down because he doesn't know his assignment. That is Glenn Schumann's biggest problem. Not the play call to send the blitz and man up and have one over the top. That's fine. The fact that Jamari Riddle was not prepared. And if he if he can't. Daniel: No, and it's week seven. Clint: It's week seven, Glenn. It's it's inexcusable. Daniel: It's week seven. And you're a veteran player. Clint: If he doesn't know by week seven what man coverage is when everybody else knows their assignment, and he's the one out of position on that multiple times, I'm not talking to him. If that's not him, guess what he needs to do? He needs to sit his butt on the bench and never touch the field again. I exactly. This is to your point, to point three. Daniel: There's nobody else. That's the problem. There's nobody else. There's no one to put in. Yeah. Clint: I want to say fine. But all of a sudden you go, Well, who else we coming in? Who else we pulling in? Because if he's our best option, you know what that means to everybody else? People, friends, it's deplorable. Daniel: Bad. Yeah. It's not good. It's not good. It's not good. Clint and I are gonna be here all week. during Clint: All week. Daniel: the bye week, breaking down this Georgia team. Another newsletter goes out on Wednesday. Make sure you're signed up for the newsletter. Make sure you subscribe to this channel. she gone, ladies and gentlemen. She Clint: This is gone. She gone. The mustache is gone. Daniel: gone. Praise God. all right. We'll see you guys later this week. See ya.
