- 0:02Speaker 1: Things that must go on the radio. From Hell Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yes, these are things that are bugging you, dear friends
- 0:11Speaker 2: of the program. Things that just, you know, what do
- 0:15Speaker 2: you say? I get stuck in my craw, whatever that means.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Things that get under your skin, things that make you mad.
- 0:22Speaker 2: And so finally you can't take it anymore, you write
- 0:24Speaker 2: it down, put it in an email and send it
- 0:26Speaker 2: to us. RadioFromHell.x96.com. Put must go on the subject line.
- 0:31Speaker 2: And if we read it on the air, maybe you'll
- 0:33Speaker 2: feel better about things. And possibly, just possibly, these things
- 0:37Speaker 2: will disappear from your life. I'll go first this time.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I have a thing that must go on my own.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Conversations like this between two people on the radio. I
- 0:48Speaker 2: heard it this morning. Oh, that is so interesting. It
- 0:52Speaker 2: is interesting. And it will be interesting to see how
- 0:55Speaker 2: it turns out, won't it? Yes, we'll follow that story
- 0:58Speaker 2: with great interest.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Was it really that blatant?
- 1:04Speaker 4: You know, I'm paraphrasing. It was worse. It was worse
- 1:08Speaker 4: than that. Did you happen to catch that? I did, yes.
- 1:11Speaker 2: It was really bad. This one says, I have just
- 1:15Speaker 2: one thing that must go. The skunk smell in my house.
- 1:19Speaker 2: My dog recently encountered a skunk in the yard, and
- 1:22Speaker 2: before we realized what had happened, he proceeded to run
- 1:25Speaker 2: into the house and rub his skunked-up face off. All
- 1:29Speaker 2: over the carpet in my bedroom every day since we
- 1:32Speaker 2: have tried one cleaning.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Trick after another. There's no way.
- 1:34Speaker 2: On the carpet and the dog. It's gotten better, but
- 1:36Speaker 2: it's still there. Please make it go away. Heather in Wyoming,
- 1:41Speaker 2: where the skunks roam free. Yeah, I was going to say, Heather,
- 1:45Speaker 2: you might try Zero Res.
- 1:47Speaker 4: I don't know if they have it in Wyoming.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I think they do.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Let's see. Cardboard Chris here. Things that must go. Blood clots.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I'll send in a clearer explanation later, but a few
- 1:57Speaker 2: months ago I woke up with my right foot being numb.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I went to the hospital and come to find out
- 2:02Speaker 2: I had three blood clots behind my right knee and
- 2:05Speaker 2: more blood clots in my lungs. Long story short, after
- 2:09Speaker 2: being in a hospital for a month and in a
- 2:11Speaker 2: care center for a month and a half, I'm kind
- 2:13Speaker 2: of walking again. Nearly losing your leg sucks. Blood clots
- 2:19Speaker 2: must go. Thanks for letting me listen. Cardboard Chris. And finally,
- 2:24Speaker 2: this one. Good morning, Lowords. I would love it if
- 2:27Speaker 2: you could make the following three things go. The weird
- 2:32Speaker 2: looks I get when I have to make a return
- 2:34Speaker 2: trip to the grocery store for the two items that
- 2:36Speaker 2: I forgot and which could not be more unrelated to
- 2:39Speaker 2: each other and then having to take a joke from
- 2:41Speaker 2: the 20-year-old checkout guy who thinks he's a comedian.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Hmm, dog food and toothpaste, huh? Quite the combination. People...
- 2:52Speaker 4: If you go to the self-checkout in that case.
- 2:54Speaker 2: People referring to any piece of information they got from
- 2:57Speaker 2: TV or online as a thing.
- 2:59Speaker 4: I saw a thing about that.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I don't know how seriously I should take you if
- 3:06Speaker 2: you don't know what kind of a thing you're referring to.
- 3:09Speaker 4: A news story, an article, a YouTube video, a funny meme, what?
- 3:13Speaker 2: And finally, the fact that I can no longer share
- 3:15Speaker 2: any interesting scientific fact that I've learned without someone in
- 3:18Speaker 2: the room saying, I don't see how they could possibly
- 3:21Speaker 2: know that. To which I have to resist the urge.
- 3:24Speaker 4: To say, well, because they're smarter than you. Yes. That's how.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Listen, please don't resist that urge. If somebody says to you, well,
- 3:34Speaker 2: I don't see how they could possibly know that, say,
- 3:36Speaker 2: because they're smarter than you are.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:39Speaker 2: There are people who spend their entire careers figuring these
- 3:42Speaker 2: things out. You, meanwhile, have spent the last five seconds
- 3:45Speaker 2: thinking about it, and you think that qualifies you to
- 3:47Speaker 2: dismiss it as BS. It's what Kerry refers to as
- 3:51Speaker 2: aggressively dumb must-go. Thanks for letting me listen and vent. Sean,
- 3:55Speaker 2: you can say my name.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Kerry? All right. First, this one from the foot of
- 4:00Speaker 4: Mount Doom.
- 4:01Speaker 5: The person I worked with like eight years ago that
- 4:04Speaker 5: still randomly will put me down as a job reference
- 4:08Speaker 5: when they apply for a job without giving me a
- 4:10Speaker 5: heads up. Listen, I was not your boss or your friend.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I have opinions about you, and I won't share them
- 4:17Speaker 5: with your possible employer.
- 4:19Speaker 4: All right.
- 4:21Speaker 5: This one from Wade in Salt Lake.
- 4:23Speaker 4: It's somewhat of a niche issue, but scalpers. Must go.
- 4:27Speaker 5: For anyone not familiar, a scalper is someone who buys
- 4:30Speaker 5: up all of a certain product and then turns around
- 4:32Speaker 5: and sells it for extortionate prices. This tends to happen
- 4:36Speaker 5: most often for tickets for live events, but it also
- 4:39Speaker 5: plagues the electronics.
- 4:40Speaker 4: And gaming market.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Anytime a brand new console or a collector's edition of
- 4:45Speaker 5: a game releases, these scalpers set up bots to constantly
- 4:48Speaker 5: refresh online store pages and then automatically buy up all
- 4:51Speaker 5: of the inventory. It makes it next to impossible for
- 4:54Speaker 5: a regular person to have a chance.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Wade. This one from Tony. A few things that must go.
- 5:01Speaker 5: When the credit card company tries to flex that they
- 5:04Speaker 5: have special codes for early access to buy concert tickets.
- 5:08Speaker 5: But the artist already gave fans a code on YouTube
- 5:12Speaker 5: three days prior. Gatsby the corgi passing away from cancer
- 5:17Speaker 5: must go. Oh, that's His dog, Dad Ryan, provided so
- 5:20Speaker 5: much love, toys, and adventure. Last month, they were at
- 5:22Speaker 5: the Pismo Beach Corgi Vacation Nation, but Gatsby got weak
- 5:26Speaker 5: as tumors developed in his liver, spleen, and the rest
- 5:29Speaker 5: of his body, as discovered by UC Davis veterinary staff.
- 5:32Speaker 5: The worst part is that they had to say goodbye
- 5:34Speaker 5: over video phone. The two Black Dodge Charger Hellcats racing
- 5:39Speaker 5: down State Street must go. They damaged five other cars
- 5:43Speaker 5: over the weekend, and now all of our insurance premiums
- 5:45Speaker 5: are going to be expensive because the city is riskier
- 5:48Speaker 5: to cover.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Thank you, Tony.
- 5:50Speaker 5: And finally, this one from Cam. Socks that slip off
- 5:55Speaker 5: inside your shoe. A silent, slow-motion torture occurring with every
- 6:01Speaker 5: step you take.
- 6:02Speaker 4: That is a classic. Yes, it is.
- 6:06Speaker 3: One for me. If I follow an animal account, like
- 6:10Speaker 3: on Instagram, I want real... Animal footage.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:17Speaker 3: There should be a way to make sure it is
- 6:19Speaker 3: not AI animal footage. I want actual animal footage.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Do not trick me with fake footage.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Are they tricking you?
- 6:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it gets harder and harder to tell.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Well, then how do you know?
- 6:34Speaker 3: And speaking of AI, this is from Tom. I understand
- 6:38Speaker 3: using AI art for things like fill in for a
- 6:40Speaker 3: background or a partial detail that may have been cropped
- 6:43Speaker 3: out of a photo. But when an entire piece of
- 6:46Speaker 3: art is created from an AI prompt, we notice AI
- 6:50Speaker 3: artwork is for lazy, stupid people who think they're creative
- 6:53Speaker 3: and clever. AI slop must go. This is from Dan.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Things that must go. High school students crossing 8th South
- 7:00Speaker 3: with their heads buried in their cell phones, totally oblivious
- 7:03Speaker 3: to the reality around them. Really? Don't look at your
- 7:06Speaker 3: phone when you're crossing the street. And finally this. Things
- 7:11Speaker 3: that must go. My sister's bum knee. She had to
- 7:14Speaker 3: sit out from cheer for six weeks by a doctor's order.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Even though she's the top cheerleader at her gym, I
- 7:20Speaker 3: want her to know she's not letting her team down. Odie,
- 7:23Speaker 3: I hope this works. It has worked before. Things that
- 7:26Speaker 3: must go. So hopefully this will help your bum knee.
- 7:29Speaker 4: A cheer emergency.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Things that must go on the radio.
- 7:39Speaker 4: From Hell Show.
