  you guys think it was cool I mean it was just a demo but it was beautiful yeah it

  look it's it it's very similar to the first one the controls were a little bit

  different which can me first but it's beautiful it really is and pretty much

  it's it's just a direct sequel It's yeah pretty much the controls the I found the

  controls the same but the whole sense where you find where you're going and

  things glow to find Collectibles were you guys finding Collectibles yes yeah I

  did find a few yeah yeah I couldn't figure out the the the use your sensors

  button was different that confused me at first we actually also used the elite

  controller oh yeah I've never used one of those that's the first time I've used

  that I don't think that wasn't an elite controller there was no pedals on the

  back there was oh you think it was like some custom

  controller I think it was just a custom controller the elites got the paddles oh

  okay cuz this had some knobs on the back and it had that that cool uh the

  different dpad oh no I don't know he's not convinced I'm not convinced all

  right well I mean yeah the action in it was great the I mean it felt like I was

  I only finished the first Tom raid the other day and it felt like I was back in
• 7:22
  it so I'm really I'm looking forward to this one comes out November 10th so it's

  going to be a toss up between that and Fallout 4 so I getting both yeah I'm

  definitely going to have to get both cuz that that was that was really great and

  the story so from what the brief story that I saw seems really interesting

  seems more Indiana Jones style than the the first one was more of a survival
• 7:42
  story this one seems more like an Indiana Jones Style Adventure first one

  was very scary yeah I had one problem and I work it out my sound wasn't right

  and I kept hearing I work out it was her talking but it sound like this ominous

  tone that was sort of muffled and really understand what they saying I thought
• 7:58
  they talking another language and I went oh headset is plugged in ah oh there you

  think I'm thinking it's looking very interesting one thing I liked in the

  panel they started off showing this CG trailer which I wasn't too excited about

  but then they showed actual gameplay and it's looking good yeah the CG trailer
• 8:29
  are always impressive but they kind of show you know like it's not the game
• 8:34
  it's like Jensen's running around doing all this cool [ __ ] but you don't get to
• 8:37
  do that in the game so I'm glad yeah we saw some gameplay um the cool
• 8:41
  augmentations from the first game are back and then there some new ones uh I
• 8:44
  think strike your interest one thing I actually quite like wasn't the actual
• 8:48
  argumentations but the days you've always been able to play your own way go
• 8:52
  whichever way but now brought in vertical so you can actually climb up
• 8:55
  onto roofs to go around so it's actually really increased what you can do yeah
• 8:59
  the the section that they showed that you have to kind of infiltrate and get
• 9:02
  into the theater and it seemed like there were just a lot of ways you could
• 9:05
  do that like a whole lot you can sneak in hide vents climb on the roofs or run
• 9:10
  and Gun if that's how you play apparently yeah you can run right around
• 9:12
  the back of the building and find some more stuff that we didn't even see or
• 9:17
  yeah or you could just shoot everybody so what we saw is probably still an
• 9:20
  early build cuz it doesn't come out till February yeah they got some time so no

  I'm really looking forward to it yeah and we had surprise guest War inspector

  the cre ofx the original um and so yeah he talked about some cool stuff about

  the first game and his influences and all that kind of stuff uh it was pretty

  interesting yeah and I'm excited for the game yeah I this they one thing they've

  said they've changed they' changed the boss fights from the last one cuz they
• 9:46
  killed the last game get rid of them yeah don't need boss fights yeah well I

  mean they were all right it's just that they were I don't know the bosses were
• 9:54
  really overpowered if you didn't focus on combat yeah they didn't fit into that
• 9:57
  game that those that type of battle Yeah cuz I could one kill everyone else but

  the boss was no yeah the first boss in particular I got passed by glitching him
• 10:06
  I got him jammed in the corner and then just kind of picked him off I got up to
• 10:09
  the first boss H couldn't kill him and didn't play the game again right so so

  you never finished it never finished it I want to and I'm going to go back and
• 10:16
  play it so you just learned a bunch of spoilers in that yes yes I did well

  that's that's that's unfortunate but it's okay I don't care about spoilers

  Anarchy of the New Hampshire anarchies uh to steal a penny arcade joke there

  and new uh drinking Quest is your game yes yeah it's like a drinking uh
• 10:50
  tabletop RPG hybrid so it's like a simple Dungeons and Dragons but when
• 10:53
  your character dies in the game you have to chug your drink in real life to
• 10:56
  continue uh so the whole game is built around that sense of real life danger
• 10:59
  okay so how do you play is it like a deck builder um no it's um the beginning
• 11:04
  of the game it's really quick setup you just pick one of the pre-made characters
• 11:07
  and uh you just fill out your character sheet they come with the game and then
• 11:09
  from there you just have four piles of cards uh those are basically the dungeon
• 11:13
  master so everybody gets to be a hero the game gets harder as you go through
• 11:16
  you pick up a card on your turn you do silly saving throws and you fight a lot
• 11:20
  of monsters when you fight a monster it's a one-on-one fight to the death you
• 11:22
  either win the points and coins and move on or you lose you get nothing you chug
• 11:26
  your drink immediately uh but then you can come back next round like nothing
• 11:29
  happens so so you die frequently in this game it's a dangerous world yeah it's uh
• 11:33
  yeah how drunk do you get in this game uh well it's uh it's half RPG so it's
• 11:37
  actually a pretty reasonable drinking game as far as they go most drinking
• 11:40
  games are drink as much as you can as fast as you can don't finish the game
• 11:44
  yeah yeah this is a 2hour game it's still half RPG um so you know there's
• 11:49
  there's a balance there's kind of like a check-in place to make sure people
• 11:52
  aren't doing double chugs and going to the hospital and things like that so at
• 11:55
  the end of the game Whoever has the most points wins and then whoever has the
• 11:58
  least amount of points they lose but they also chug the most so they kind of
• 12:01
  win in their own way so really fun balance everybody wins and how many play
• 12:04
  tests did you do on this uh I did a lot of play test but yeah disappointingly so
• 12:08
  most of them were just you know sober and just seeing you know who who gets
• 12:11
  what you know amount of chugs and things watch other people get drunk exactly
• 12:15
  yeah well those are actually some pretty fun games too when you're not drinking
• 12:18
  it's uh yeah um but anyway yeah it's uh yeah there's three games in the series
• 12:23
  uh they mostly had a print but we just came out with the new Deluxe box that's
• 12:25
  got all three games in it everything's been recolored remastered and uh there's
• 12:29
  a fourth game's worth of brand new stuff in there and uh the fan favorite so far
• 12:32
  is there's a brand new Quest called kegga Man 2 where you fight eight
• 12:35
  different robot bosses each other own alcohol related power and uh if you beat
• 12:39
  them you can get that stupid alcohol power and use it later in the game so
• 12:43
  it's uh awesome it's totally original I made that up myself it's not based on
• 12:46
  anything but uh someone recommended today I should make a video game sides
• 12:49
  scroller out of it and I think that might be a really good idea so awesome
• 12:52
  yeah we'll see how that goes if people aren't here how can they find you uh

  too so on the first day I don't know who how it started but somebody said

  something like my country can drink more than your country and so it was just two

  weeks of non-stop Canada versus Australia drinking contest every day

  I've never experienced anything like it is that how you got the idea for this

  game uh it was the next year that I came out with the first game so it was uh I'm

  sure it didn't hurt it was a slow seed yeah yeah so it uh yeah it's I got a lot

  of love for Australia they're they're funny they' got a great sense of humor

  try we try and I hope that the money is eventually called dollar dues I think

  Kingdom um s of like a big open Adventure type thing where you sort of

  wander through a Gothic ruined Kingdom and sort of unravel Mysteries and stuff

  like an artistic lead M um yeah of like well schooled in the whole traditional

  really comes across it looks it's like a Metroid Vania style kind of games yeah

  this area and they're all like you find shortcuts between them and stuff you

  unlock abilities to get further and stuff like that you get like spells um

  more interesting like some weirder stuff you got like an equipment system as well

  like equip these charms to give yourself Powers Yeah Yeah so the basic structure

  is you explore do some um investigating kill a boss find an item the leach is

  life so these Supply crates will come down uh you catch them and you get a gun

  out of it and the gun is a stationary gun so it just sticks to one side of you

  right um You can collect multiple guns which is what yellow did old yellow

  other gelatinous gloves cool until I think it's going to be a really great

  fun casual game oh super fun kind of like a single screen Arena type thing

  where you f around right yeah so we played four player 4v4 and all on the

  one screen mhm yeah and uh we did we did very badly very badly so it's fun you

  would you would buy that you would buy and play that game drunk at a potty

  um it's a cross between a trading card game and a to defense game and we have

  cards that um that are a little different than regular trading cards

  because they level up as you play the game and there's a and basically what

  happens is that you it's a multiplayer game so it's PVP PVP is the end game but

  it has does have a 40-hour campaign in the game wow so that's through the
• 23:25
  campaign through pvps how you generate money which allows you to level up when
• 23:28
  you playing the cards yeah and so what happens is in the PVP one person plays a
• 23:32
  defensive deck one person plays an aggressive deck and so the whole the
• 23:35
  whole whole idea is is to defend yourself against your this orb and um he
• 23:40
  just lost actually so basically what happens is that the attacker spawns
• 23:44
  creatures spawn points Y and um the strategy involved in how you sort of
• 23:49
  attack it and then the defender has hero cards and the hero cards drop down they
• 23:53
  put the hero cards where they feel like they way to defend and there's different
• 23:56
  ranges and different sort of area effect spells and there's spells you can use to
• 23:59
  do damage your characters and creatures as you're playing them yeah and um yeah
• 24:03
  so it has like I mean it's we want people to be able to obviously get into
• 24:07
  the game really quickly and that's sort of the trading card mechanic people are
• 24:10
  familiar with that but then it has this end game sort of stats with the the
• 24:14
  training cards let me just show you something yeah

  sure so you can see here and I'll get you actually images these for the

  podcast yeah great but you can see so what happens is that as the cards level
• 24:26
  up they get additional perks and so they start with only two and then as they
• 24:30
  level up they get more and then what happens is that and that's where sort of

  the end game play so like you level up cars and then those cards are more

  powerful Us in PvP there's all these additional perks that you get um yeah so

  it's a it's um yeah it's pretty simple it's very cool yeah so like you you lay

  the card down where you want it to appear on the map correct that's exactly

  is an adaptation of the old Fighting Fantasy roleplaying game that uh I

  you're about our age in the 80s they were very popular um it's just really

  cool it's like um like a visual companion to the book so the the text

  still comes up as it would have in the book and you choose the option but but

  there is like a 3D map and you have a character who moves around uh you know

  reacting to what you say and then when you into a room where you into combat

  you can um kind of interact with things uh there's like a sneaking mini game and

  like a combat game um and yeah it's it's really cool what do you think Luke oh

  know it's pretty interesting so any wrong move you make could mean the end

  for one of your teammates it could be it could be so communication probably plays

  a big part yeah yeah uh we're not quite sure yet if playing it with four people

  is the hardest mode we think it is we think that is the expert mode are there

  different puzzles for different number of players yes yeah great yeah some of

  the levels we have there are some four player versions of two player levels

  yeah uh so that's good it's nice it's nice to have a a familiar familiar

  puzzle yeah uh to just sort of set yourself up for some more false false security and so
