- 1:53and let's dive into those powerful conversations that I
- 1:56have with Kerry Eichberger. Hey Kerry, welcome to She Speaks
- 2:01Life. I am so excited you are Here you
- 2:05have a book that is coming out. It's called Win Over Worry.
- 2:10Hello, a topic that we can all relate to, and the subtitle is
- 2:15called Conquer. What Shakes you and soar with
- 2:19the one Who Overcomes? And that in itself is so
- 2:25inspiring. And I'd love for you to share
- 2:29your message. But before we do, I always love
- 2:32to kick us off with the guests sharing their favorite scripture
- 2:36verse. Well, absolutely.
- 2:38And first of all, thank you Jamie for having me.
- 2:41It's always a pleasure to get on and talk to someone about worry
- 2:44and all are my what I have struggled with and I know many
- 2:48people can relate to that as well.
- 2:51And you know, my life first comes from.
- 2:55This place of worry for me because that's something that I
- 2:59have always struggled with so much and I'm able to see it in
- 3:03woven through all of my days and most of my moments.
- 3:07And it is the first that most everyone is familiar with.
- 3:10And you've heard it over and over.
- 3:12But it's just it's it's what it speaks to me and I'll explain
- 3:15that, but it's Romans 828. And we know that in all things
- 3:20God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been
- 3:23called according to his purpose. And this verse it to me and all
- 3:29that I face all of my struggles when I can really understand
- 3:34that God is working and Noma and no matter what it is that I'm
- 3:38facing or what is before me and I can understand that he's
- 3:41working it for good. Just because I love him like
- 3:45that's it. And that he's working all things
- 3:47for good and according to his purpose, it relieves so much of
- 3:52that worry and so much of anything that I'm sort of
- 3:56suffering through or not understanding or doesn't make
- 3:58sense to me. Concerns for the future, you
- 4:02know, uncertainty just in my in my current moments or of the
- 4:05things of the past. So I just, I've always loved
- 4:08that verse and every time I read it, it means something different
- 4:13to me based on what I'm experiencing.
- 4:15So also I'll say there's a lot of verses, you know, depending
- 4:19on what we're going through in our life, there's always
- 4:21something else. And just most recently I have
- 4:24fallen in love with Zephaniah 317, which says the Lord your
- 4:29God is with you, the mighty warrior who saves.
- 4:32And you know, I mentioned the other verse being one, like
- 4:36that's something I just no matter.
- 4:37What I'm going through, I can infuse that.
- 4:39Well, recently I felt I was encountering some a little bit
- 4:43more unsettling circumstances. I was traveling to Colorado and
- 4:46I don't really love to fly, and I get into that in my book.
- 4:50That's a whole story in itself. But I also encountered some
- 4:53other circumstances that felt, let's just say, not so safe, a
- 4:56little dangerous. Even as we're hiking up hiking,
- 4:59there was a bus hiking up this mountain, very steep or like
- 5:02looking over cliffs. Everyone thought they were going
- 5:04to die. I'm not kidding.
- 5:05It was. It was a very one of those.
- 5:07Those moments when you. Feel very scary and and I had
- 5:12that verse has been one that right when I took off on the
- 5:15airplane taking off to Colorado I had been repeating that in my
- 5:19head that the Lord your God is with you, the mighty warrior
- 5:22says. And that to me was just
- 5:24reminding me that no matter where I am what I'm going
- 5:28through God is with me. And the mighty warrior that he
- 5:32is, he is sovereign. He is powerful.
- 5:35He is mighty. And when you can have confidence
- 5:38that he he is your protector, he's the the protection that we
- 5:42need and he is watching out for us always with us.
- 5:45There's just so much comfort I find in that And so that's kind
- 5:48of like a a new favorite. So I've got sort of like the
- 5:51oldie but goodie, but that's kind of a new fresh one that's
- 5:55done really speaking to me. I love both of those versus.
- 5:59So great. Yeah.
- 6:01And you know, there's something about that worry, and it's just
- 6:07kind of that knee jerk reaction that our brain goes to.
- 6:11And I love how you're going to talk about how to unlearn that,
- 6:16right? Those unhealthy patterns of
- 6:18worry and how we can surrender and overcome them over to the
- 6:24Lord and the steps we can take. But you know, first I'd love for
- 6:30you to just dive into your story as to why worry is why worry was
- 6:38a struggle for you and why write this message?
- 6:43So you said it. Worry was a struggle for me, and
- 6:46I think many people can relate some.
- 6:48I think you'll you might find that worry is either.
- 6:52Been only a certain part of your past or maybe you never were
- 6:56really a warrior and now you're finding it creep up into your
- 6:59life. It was something that was kind
- 7:01of a constant for me, but starting at a certain age.
- 7:04And so when I decided to start writing this, well, I'll tell
- 7:08you, I really wasn't so sure. I wanted to write this write
- 7:11about worry. And the reason I decided to was
- 7:14because I really wanted to meet my audience where they were.
- 7:18I wanted to help people and I. I asked.
- 7:21I did an online poll and I asked my audience what they struggled
- 7:25with and I gave them the little multiple choice like you have
- 7:27four options and I chose that as one.
- 7:29I hope that they wouldn't say was it.
- 7:31And sure enough, that was like the number one thing people said
- 7:34they struggled with and could use some help and resolution
- 7:37with. And so I thought, OK, well, you
- 7:40know, someone once told me if I was one step ahead of somebody,
- 7:43I can help them. And I thought, you know, all
- 7:46right, God, I can, I can do this.
- 7:48I really could see how. Yes, I.
- 7:50Was a socalled warrior, but I had seen God redeem a lot of my
- 7:54struggle and and show up and relieve a lot of that as I had
- 7:58grown in my faith and and solidifying that foundation.
- 8:02So I just because that's what we were asking for and I decided I
- 8:06would give a shot and I also felt like, you know when you've
- 8:10been there. You can relate to someone, not
- 8:13ever. You know, sometimes you don't
- 8:14want someone to give you advice. I've never been there and I
- 8:17could say I want someone they can relate to.
- 8:20And I've walked that. I've walked that path.
- 8:23I'm still walking it. And I want to, you know,
- 8:26offering to hold hands with the, the, the person who's struggling
- 8:29and say we can do this together. I'll show you how, with God's
- 8:32help, we certainly can. So for me, it started off when I
- 8:37was in high school. Really.
- 8:39Basically, I was. You talked about unhealthy
- 8:42coping, and that's where it all began.
- 8:45It was like my will over God's will and way.
- 8:47And I didn't realize I was doing that at the time.
- 8:51I didn't realize what I was creating in my life.
- 8:54But as I was doing that, as I was like dealing with, you know,
- 8:58struggles, as you, as you encounter life, you encounter
- 9:02more struggle, more pain, more difficulty.
- 9:05You. You.
- 9:06Whether it's something you experience or you watch somebody
- 9:09else endure. And we developed these react,
- 9:12you know, reactions like you said, how are we going to cope?
- 9:15How are going we going to deal with it?
- 9:16And it was, I did it my way. I knew a God that loved me and I
- 9:20was, I grew up in a Christian home.
- 9:22But you know, we don't always live like we believe.
- 9:26We say we believe. And that was sort of what was
- 9:28me. I think a lot of us do that and
- 9:31so I continued to walk through life and it only it works for a
- 9:35while until it doesn't. So I was I was living this life
- 9:38and I was trying to find fulfillment all the wrong things
- 9:41and I was putting bandaids on my struggles and I was developing
- 9:46more worry would would surface. So I was.
- 9:48I found myself avoiding life and trying to control my
- 9:52circumstances and living anxiously.
- 9:56And it it starts to snowball. If you really don't get a hold
- 9:59of it and figure out what's at the root of all that and why
- 10:03you're and and really then turn it over to God, it's snowballs.
- 10:07And that's what happened. Snowballed for me and turned
- 10:10into full blown anxiety, fullblown fear.
- 10:14And it really hit a peak in college when 911 hit and I
- 10:17started having some panic attacks.
- 10:19It went into like lasted for days.
- 10:22Had to seek medical attention for it and that was like my red
- 10:25flag moment that here you've got to do something about this.
- 10:28And that was like this whole beginning of a journey of
- 10:32walking closer with the Lord. And it's been such a beautiful
- 10:34experience. There's so much in that and
- 10:38that's such a, you know, a journey in itself of ups and ups
- 10:42and downs. But I can truly say I've I have
- 10:46walked that path. I have struggled with worry.
- 10:49I've come so far. God has.
- 10:52Shown me how to that He can't overcome this thing.
- 10:56So I know that many people like myself believe that's just the
- 11:00way that they are. And that was what I thought and
- 11:04I just had to learn to sort of deal with it.
- 11:06But God showed me that, you know, he he has the power and we
- 11:10have the power within us because we have him to overcome and to
- 11:16to overcome worry and to conquer.
- 11:17He conquers fear. Yeah, so true.
- 11:21And I look at worry as a futile attempt to control the
- 11:26uncontrollable right. And it's like if we're trying to
- 11:31put it in our own hands, right, instead of giving it over to
- 11:35God's hands, that that leads us to this lack of control because
- 11:40we're trying to do it and we can't do it on our own strength
- 11:44and our own ability. We got to hand over because we
- 11:48can't control everything, so we have to hand it over to the Lord
- 11:52and then that causes the uncertainties of our future,
- 11:56which then leads to this worry. And then if we let the the
- 12:01worry, I always say worry is like the sibling of fear.
- 12:05Now we're into the fear of everything and we know that fear
- 12:12and faith or an opposition, right?
- 12:14And so we need God's word. That's why, you know, when we
- 12:19get closer to the Lord, we're we're not, we're going and
- 12:22diving into His word and what he says.
- 12:25So we're feeding ourselves faith, and if we've got the
- 12:30faith, then then the fear has it dilutes right when we when we
- 12:35fill ourselves with His word. And so if God's not in the
- 12:39center of our lives, we're putting something else there in
- 12:44its place. We're gonna have a relationship
- 12:47with worry because we're not having a relationship with God
- 12:51on a daily basis. We're having a relationship with
- 12:53worry because we're relying on something else to take the
- 12:56center of our life. And we know those are the idols
- 13:00or distractions or, you know, the things that we're coming up
- 13:05like you were saying, your own will and way is what you're
- 13:09trying to rely on, which we can't.
- 13:12We got to rely on that perfect God that created us and that he
- 13:16sees from beginning to end, the big picture, everything.
- 13:20He's gone before us, He's with us.
- 13:23But we for some reason, you know, we're human.
- 13:27And worry just automatically comes first, which it shouldn't.
- 13:33Right, right. Right.
- 13:34Absolutely. Yeah.
- 13:36You mean you said it. You mentioned the word control.
- 13:38And that's a big one for me, for a lot of us.
- 13:41And I really highlight this in the book that that's something
- 13:45that, you know, we say we believe God's in control, but
- 13:48the way we live our lives sometimes looks like we think
- 13:51we're in control. And that is a daily battle for
- 13:55me. And I know many people out
- 13:57there, they're listening. It's like we we, we try to
- 13:59manipulate our circumstances. We want to control our
- 14:01circumstances and and we think we can.
- 14:03But ultimately, like no matter really what it is, God has the
- 14:07ultimate say and he can do whatever he wants with anything
- 14:11that's in our circumstances and alter it for his good.
- 14:16So I think that's something that, and that's a really
- 14:19comforting thing. I mean, for me, knowing that
- 14:21he's in control. And knowing that he's good.
- 14:24It's those two things combined that he loves that he loves us
- 14:28and he's in control. Those are just two.
- 14:31Those two truths are really critical and key in tackling
- 14:38this beast of worry that God is in control and that he is good.
- 14:42Because if we can believe with all of our hearts that he is
- 14:45sovereign and he has everything in his hands, every detail of
- 14:50our day and our lives and His hands, if we can really.
- 14:53Grasp that and we can grasp how big or start to grasp how big
- 14:58His love is for us, then we can. We really have nothing to worry
- 15:03about, you know? No.
- 15:03Easier said than done. But it's so true.
- 15:05We really, if we can, if we can grasp those two things, then
- 15:09worry has no chance. Yeah, yeah, it's so true.
- 15:12I I always say you first you have to have a relationship with
- 15:17God, and when you have a relationship with God then
- 15:20you're gonna know how much you are loved and valued by by God.
- 15:25He's constantly saying how much we are valued to him and how
- 15:30much we are loved unconditionally by him.
- 15:33And I think that is key when we can actually get our roots into
- 15:38that and really settle and rest in knowing no matter what, God
- 15:44loves me. He values me.
- 15:46I once heard about the word of God.
- 15:50It's like an insurance policy. Like once you know you're
- 15:53covered, like when you know you're, you've got car
- 15:56insurance, like you don't think about, you don't worry about it.
- 16:00You're just like oh OK I I'm insured right.
- 16:04And it's like the word of God is like an insurance policy it we
- 16:10don't have to worry because God has is covered and so so let's
- 16:16talk about identifying worry let let's kind of go from the
- 16:20beginning of you know uncovering the enemy where where would you
- 16:24like to start with that. So the really key thing here,
- 16:29and really winning over worry is.
- 16:32Determining Well, what are you worried about first?
- 16:34Because a lot of times we don't even realize we're worrying and
- 16:38you know it's there or we might just notice.
- 16:41We know we have these fears in general, but they really
- 16:44manifest in a lot of ass worry throughout our day.
- 16:48So for me it's figuring out first.
- 16:51All right, let's lay out your worries right.
- 16:52We go through your process writing them all down.
- 16:54Let's lay it all out there. Let's get all the junk in front
- 16:57of you. All the worries that you have
- 16:59and and the reason I do that is because.
- 17:02I think it's important to first look at what the problem is
- 17:05before we can do anything about resolving it and that's kind of
- 17:09with anything. But once we can identify what
- 17:11we're worried about what the what we really are after is
- 17:14what's at the root of that. So I think a lot of people know
- 17:19they have certain worries and we want to put little band aids on
- 17:22those those worries and and try to just at the surface to
- 17:25dismantle them and that can help temporarily.
- 17:28But at the root of it, there's some fear, and I really narrow
- 17:33it down to a couple root fears that all of these worries are
- 17:37can tie back to. And the reason I'm doing that is
- 17:40because I'm what I want to people to realize that there's
- 17:43fear. And when we realize it's fear,
- 17:46we can also say these fears are false.
- 17:48These are lies from the enemy. So I'm covering the true enemy
- 17:51is saying like it's fear. And this is the enemy that is
- 17:54trying to speak these lies to your heart.
- 17:57And once you acknowledge that, sometimes just acknowledging
- 18:00that alone is enough for me to say, you know, out of here and
- 18:03I'm not going to fall for it, but it's then taking those lies
- 18:08and. Covering that with the truths of
- 18:11God. So this is false.
- 18:13Or believing these. And there's I'll just go ahead
- 18:15and say the couple of fears that I narrowed down to are a fear of
- 18:20helplessness and a fear of being unworthy.
- 18:24So fear of of unworthiness. So and that's.
- 18:27You know, if you think about it, let's just throw out of a worry
- 18:31that we have about, you know, a lot of us can relate to, to
- 18:33worries about our kids. And I've got a son who's 16 and
- 18:35he's starting to drive now and I worry about him driving, you
- 18:40know. So I got this process of let's
- 18:41figuring out what's at the root of this, really, what am I
- 18:44really worried about? And so if you ask yourself why
- 18:46am I worried about that? Without going through the entire
- 18:49process and taking all your time, it really is.
- 18:51So I'm. I'm really worried about losing
- 18:54a child something happening to him and well, then past that
- 18:58what do you why am I worried about that and what you because
- 19:02that just people saw people just stop right there And he's like
- 19:04that's a legitimate worry, right.
- 19:06Well, you know, yes, because anything can happen.
- 19:09But I'm worried about that because it's like, then what?
- 19:12You know, we don't always acknowledge that God's going to
- 19:14be there with us, even in those moments, but it's really a fear
- 19:18of of helplessness and being like we lose something and we
- 19:23can't even imagine ourselves sometimes being able to to deal
- 19:26with life to cope. What we're forgetting is that
- 19:30God is there and because and that the lie is that we're
- 19:33helpless because we're not ever helpless because we have God.
- 19:36Because we always have him and he is always there.
- 19:39We are never helpless and and even though that doesn't take it
- 19:41away take all of those big worries and fears away when you
- 19:46can just apply that truth to that fear.
- 19:50It has a lot of power to change the way that we see it and even
- 19:56the way that it it shows up in our life, so.
- 19:59That's just one of the fear also of of being unworthy.
- 20:02So a lot of times it's like let's say we have, we have,
- 20:04we're worried about people, someone thinks about us, you
- 20:08know, our social situation or fear of rejection.
- 20:12At the root of that, if you work through this process, we really
- 20:14are fearful of being unloved and then being fear.
- 20:18This fear of of unworthiness, well, that's also a lie.
- 20:22Because we are never unworthy. Because God says, because God
- 20:26loves us. And his his love is perfect.
- 20:30We have value and worth because we are his children.
- 20:33We are children of the king and there is so much worth and
- 20:36that's non negotiable. We we are we are sealed with as
- 20:41our identity in him and and there's so many things that I go
- 20:45through and talk about and opening up those two ideas but
- 20:49and then there's a process of like taking that we take this
- 20:51sphere bringing it to the light exposing it for what it is as a
- 20:55lie, surrendering in that to God.
- 20:58Again talking about control, surrendering it that God is in
- 21:01control. We really ultimately have no say
- 21:03over what happens ultimately. But then when we can just grasp
- 21:07these concepts. So I We say that we believe God
- 21:09and we say that God loves us, but how do we?
- 21:12What does that look like in our life?
- 21:14We need to practice that. So I walk through this process
- 21:17in the book of what's it look like to unleash peace and joy
- 21:23and purpose in the face of fear, all those things in our identity
- 21:28and who we are as his children. So there's it's, again, it's a
- 21:32practicing piece and there's, I think that we need sometimes
- 21:36more. And there's a lot of it is in
- 21:38just learning scripture, like you said.
- 21:39But I'm also not one that's great at memorizing these
- 21:43memorizing scripture. It has to be practiced.
- 21:45It really does. And the enemy wants us to
- 21:47forget. He wants us to forget the truth
- 21:49and forget those those words. And I think that's probably
- 21:51what's going on for me. Well, I can't remember them, but
- 21:53I can't remember that God bless me and I can't remember that he
- 21:57is sovereign and he is in control.
- 21:59Yes, I know, Knowing God's word and taking what Jesus did and
- 22:05his example to make the enemy flee, He spoke out scripture
- 22:10three times for the enemy to to to flee when he was tempted in
- 22:16the wilderness and so we can take that.
- 22:19Perfect example of speaking out the words.
- 22:22Sometimes, you know, it's not enough.
- 22:25Like, I'll read it. But there's something about,
- 22:27like tangibly saying it out of your mouth and speaking it out
- 22:33into the atmosphere and, you know, having what Jesus did to
- 22:37make the enemy go away. And because that's exactly what
- 22:41the enemy is trying to do. We know that that the worry and
- 22:45fear is from the enemy and we can stop it from from dwelling,
- 22:52you know, from taking that elevator from our mind into our
- 22:55hearts, right? And the way we can do that is
- 22:58take that thought captive with truth and turn it around and
- 23:03cover it with God's word and. I also you have a chapter on
- 23:09prayer lifting, unloading it, lifting up in prayer.
- 23:13And I love that because just like you, I've had three
- 23:17teenagers going through the whole driving process and it
- 23:22does get easier after the first. But there's always.
- 23:29I I get that. I get the root of that fear.
- 23:32Not wanting to lose a child, not wanting them to get in an
- 23:35accident. And when I got to that place, I
- 23:39immediately went in a prayer. Because the prayer and the power
- 23:43in that, and it wasn't just protecting my child, but keep
- 23:47like the choices of the others on the road away.
- 23:52Like the poor choices away from my children, right.
- 23:55And so it in it. And.
- 23:58After you're praying that you, you feel like you're just, you
- 24:01have the supernatural circle of the shield around them.
- 24:05And oftentimes when I go into that worry and fear, it's
- 24:09because I'm lacking my prayer life, I'm lacking being in the
- 24:14word. And so, you know, it's, it's the
- 24:19last thing that sometimes we do because we're trying to like
- 24:23come up with a solution ourselves, you know, and and.
- 24:27And really, all we need to do is take it out of our hands, into
- 24:31the Lord's hands, and just give them all our concerns.
- 24:35The scripture verse and Philippians 46 you know, with
- 24:40everything, prayer and Thanksgiving.
- 24:42And I find that just extremely beneficial when it comes to
- 24:48worry, I think with everything. But when we're talking about
- 24:51worry, it's kind of an instant remedy for me.
- 24:55Absolutely, Yeah. You know, something occurred to
- 24:58me. So I wrote this chapter about
- 25:00prayer, like you said. And my first thought was, OK,
- 25:03people are going to think, all right, really a chapter about
- 25:06prayer. Of course we're supposed to pray
- 25:08when we worry. And.
- 25:09But it was something that I really picked up on.
- 25:11This was the this idea that, OK, not to call people out, but we
- 25:15can do, I can do so much better with this.
- 25:18And I don't know how many of the listeners are familiar with the
- 25:22the instruction in the Bible to pray continually.
- 25:24So I took those two words or pray without ceasing.
- 25:27The Bible says, like, do we really do that?
- 25:30No, We pray. We might pray a lot even, but
- 25:32are we really praying continuously?
- 25:34And so even though that seems unrealistic, you know, unless
- 25:37we're like, you know, nuns to be praying nonstop, it's a goal.
- 25:42And I'll tell you when for me, and I'm sure many can relate.
- 25:46When I pray, I immediately you said the supernatural sense
- 25:49surrounds you immediately sense more peace.
- 25:53It doesn't matter what I'm praying about or in that moment,
- 25:56and it may not go away completely, but it does.
- 25:58It does have the power to put more peace over the situation.
- 26:04So immediately my perspective shifts and there is less worry
- 26:08now, I think the more the. So to me it's like, oh, if we
- 26:11could just pray all the time, wouldn't that be so much better?
- 26:14So I really go through some practical ways we can
- 26:17incorporate more prayer. And it's just conversation with
- 26:19God. You know, we all heard people
- 26:23say start your day with prayer. And I do that as well.
- 26:26But I can. I can pray and walk out the door
- 26:29and two seconds later something smacks me in the face that has
- 26:32me all worried again, or flustered or angry or whatever
- 26:35it might be. And it's I need to really put
- 26:39those touch points throughout my day of of praying and talking to
- 26:42God. And sometimes that just looks
- 26:44like worshipping their music and it's definitely continuing to to
- 26:49pray over meals and you know but it's it's finding ways to
- 26:54continue to do that throughout your day and and practicing
- 26:58that's just the that's the key for a lot of these things.
- 26:59It's just making a habit of it and practicing it more and more
- 27:03and and that's just one component of overcoming this and
- 27:06relearning how to to to to cope the right way with God and
- 27:11that's talking to him about it. But it's doing it, making that
- 27:15your go to making prayer your go to when, immediately, when
- 27:19something, when, whenever that trigger happens.
- 27:23Like for me recently when I was flying, as much as I have never
- 27:26haven't liked to fly, I've now started to appreciate the sweet,
- 27:31intimate time that I get with the Lord in the midst of a fear.
- 27:35Because I know what helps me is when I just talk to him
- 27:37throughout it. I mean, I take off and I
- 27:40immediately I just, I just sit there and I'm.
- 27:43I allow him to just hold me in his arms and I just talk to him
- 27:47about what I'm struggling with. And I actually thank him.
- 27:50I'll thank him for being with me and holding me and keeping me
- 27:54safe in those moments and just allowing me an opportunity to
- 27:57rely on him and to be dependent on him.
- 28:01So I think prayer is huge and it's just and just conversation.
- 28:04I think sometimes you'd be confused as we want to make this
- 28:06too complicated and feel like we have to have it super
- 28:08structured. If we're just talking to God in
- 28:11the shower or in the carpool line or wherever you might be,
- 28:15maybe it's just praying when you're in the grocery store
- 28:17over, you know, a choice. It's the little things, Ethan,
- 28:21that you know, we find that that we struggle with there, where
- 28:24Satan wants to show up everywhere to throw us off
- 28:27course. So it's just to have it.
- 28:30Yeah, exactly. It's a it's a daily practice,
- 28:33like you're saying. It's just not a one.
- 28:35And done. Oh, I I did it on Monday.
- 28:37It's going to take me through the week, you know.
- 28:39No, we need it every single day. And I think to taking things one
- 28:46day at a time is key too. And you know that's trusting God
- 28:53when we worry is key because I mean when we and not to say that
- 28:58we can't plan but you know when we are looking forward to the
- 29:04future too much we're kind of take we're taking off the focus
- 29:08off of God and it makes us not be able to trust them as as much
- 29:15But if we just look at. OK, trusting God for today.
- 29:20There's scripture verse on that. You know tomorrow's got its own
- 29:23troubles and it's like it's in there for reason, right?
- 29:26Right. And so just trusting God with
- 29:29your everyday and that today and not looking too far into the
- 29:34future because that just automatically stirs up these
- 29:38what ifs and those what ifs are dangerous.
- 29:41Those are those worry triggers and.
- 29:45So good. So is there anything that we did
- 29:48not cover that you would like to share and then we can just lead
- 29:52right into a take away? You know, the big one for me, I
- 29:56love this. The second-half the book is when
- 29:58I really opened up all the possibilities that we have in
- 30:03this freedom. When we when we are, when we
- 30:05make the choice to to lock our arms with God and allow him to
- 30:10to learn more about Him and infuse the truths into our life
- 30:14and rely on Him. And when we released this, I've
- 30:19seen my life open up in such beautiful ways.
- 30:22When I stopped avoiding things because of fear.
- 30:24And when I stopped living anxiously, I was able to walk in
- 30:28a purpose that I didn't see before, because I was afraid to
- 30:32step out and step and step into whatever he wanted me to do in
- 30:37trusting Him. And there's so much blessing
- 30:41beyond our worries and our fears.
- 30:44And when we just allowed that, I just think that's when life
- 30:47opened up for me. When I allowed myself to to
- 30:51release all of this, even just to a degree.
- 30:55I still have a ways to go. And this is an ever.
- 30:57This is a process. But the more I have learned to
- 31:01trust God and and really soak in the truth of his love and of his
- 31:06power, it's allowed me to do things I never would have done
- 31:10before, go places I hadn't gone and just experience a joy in
- 31:14life that I didn't experience before.
- 31:17So I just, I really love. Like I mentioned that
- 31:20second-half the book, I really opened up what that looks like,
- 31:23but that what that joy can look like for each person.
- 31:25With that, what the peace looks like.
- 31:27I know how much we're missing, and we would be all along for
- 31:30peace and nervous and joy. And there's just so much of that
- 31:33available when we really do the work to dig in and to with God
- 31:39to overcome. It's freeing.
- 31:42We get freedom from it and like you said, our.
- 31:47Lives become more fulfilled because we're doing what he's
- 31:51called us to do and fear. You just have to face it and
- 31:55just March through it and and the more you do it, the less it
- 32:01becomes a power over you. Because I feel like you're
- 32:06showing the enemy, look, your tactics aren't working anymore.
- 32:09I'm doing it anyway. And then it dissipates and it
- 32:13starts to. Dilute it's hold on you and so
- 32:18long with the word and prayer and just doing it regardless and
- 32:23having that confidence and that God has already put in us and
- 32:29He's already equipped us. And we just have to keep that
- 32:33narrative going on over and over again in our minds until, you
- 32:38know, we're finally, like you're saying, experiencing it, living
- 32:42it out and actually. Believing our belief like you're
- 32:46saying. So.
- 32:48All right, let's I always love to conclude with a take away,
- 32:51Something the listener can ponder on or take action in.
- 32:54And where can people buy your awesome book?
- 32:59You know, I want everyone. I want people to understand.
- 33:01And this because you hear all the stuff, it sounds great.
- 33:03You know, we have worries and fears and I would love to, you
- 33:06know, to have some make some progress here.
- 33:09And I think people are skeptical, but I will say it's a
- 33:13choice, and it really is a choice to to do the work.
- 33:18Like you said, it's not, it's not easy.
- 33:19But with God, what I want people to understand and know is God
- 33:24has conquered this because he has conquered the enemy.
- 33:26We're dealing here, we're dealing with here is the enemy.
- 33:30And we can conquer that because God has already conquered the
- 33:34enemy. And we can conquer all fear and
- 33:36our worry because of this victory that has already been
- 33:40claimed, and it's ours for the taking.
- 33:43And God wants that for us. A love first, John 5, verse four
- 33:47says for everyone born of God overcomes the world.
- 33:51This is the victory that's overcome the world, even our
- 33:53faith. And so I just want people to to
- 33:55know that there is hope. If there's hope for me, there's
- 33:59hope for you. There's hope for all of us to
- 34:00overcome not only our fear and worry, but whatever it is that
- 34:03we're struggling with. God doesn't want to just leave
- 34:05us that way. Yeah, that's so good.
- 34:08OK, where can everybody contact you and get that book?
